7000 a day on top of the hotel is plenty except in Burgos - rip off place where you overpay for very average to low quality girls. EDSA much better, bar fine was around 1000 last time I was there and tip not mandatory, though strongly advised. Had some really nice girls from there, better than Burgos. The better looking girls in LA Cafe now expect 1500 for short time but you'll be happy if you find anything decent there. Occasional stunner but on the whole very low quality. Vicinity of LA sometimes better.

Burgos is up and down in talent just like anywhere else and changes day to day depending who shows up to work. You can make arrangements with some there but whether they show up is hard to say. I have found some places there willing to negotiate the price of barfines.

In regards to EDSA, barfine at 1000? Not sure where in EDSA that is, I thought it was 1400 couple months ago and the woman gets none of it, so tipping is kind of expected otherwise all they got was commission from the drinks you bought them. I saw somewhere else that barfines have been raised there but I don't know for sure. In February, I thought talent was better on Burgos than EDSA, but I would have reversed that 9 months ago.

LA Cafe has talent, but usually the better talent is later in evening like 10pm at the earliest there and usually upstairs, but lately better downstairs than before. It varies and sometimes it's dog city all night.

Would agree with KM except that I reallyu like Cebu and Cenbuanas are very sexy IMHO...but then I find Filipinas sexy :D

Also go to Havana Cafe in Makati (not anywhere else as my good mate FSlag338 did once). Full of lovely girls and IMHO a cut above LA Cafe.

WR, don't get me wrong, I like Cebu. My luck there with women is way better than in AC. I am just saying that it's a little smaller and quieter in different ways from AC and Manila/Makati. Havana has it's moments, but I think a lot of the women there are older there. There are definitely some lookers on occasion but not nearly as I think others have made it out to be. I enjoy myself there as the setting is nice. The only problem is that I think many of the freelancers there think a little too highly of themselves.

Yes, as I said, that was the price last time I was there. Shows that I haven't been there for ages. Of course I always tip the girl extra (just like in Angeles, where the last time I was there I was quoted a price of 1,200 all included, way up from the 500-700 I remember in the olden times). Have not been to Burgos for even longer but last time I was there I was quoted BF prices like 4,000 or what (maybe 3,000 not sure but I just found it insane, especially for what was on offer).

Gentlemen, I cannot find the appropriate trend for this. I just want to express my opinion and observation as a first time visitor to Angeles and compared it to Pattaya.

This being my first trip to Angeles, I was very apprehensive even though I had done my homework from ISG. I was very conscious of my surrounding to ensure my personal safety. I went there with the least amount of expectation and I had a great time.......

(1) Lets compare the place......both Angeles & Pattaya have similar road conditions and both places are what you would have expected from a 3rd world mongering venue. I was not turned off by this as I have experienced worst in Indonesia.

(2) As for food, I would say that both places have unique food. Angeles being more influenced by the American and Spanish cuisine whilst Pattaya is the famous Thai cuisine. To me both places have its charm when it comes to food. My only comment is that Pinoy food then to be too salty for my taste-buds.

(3) Girls in general, I found Filipina to be more "friendly" and once you have bar-fined them they will take you as their "male friend" even if it is for one night. They are not demanding in wanting to eat expensive food and buying things. In fact I found Filipina to be generally very gracious to the point of being "shy" once they are out of their bar environment. Thai although is friendly still holds a very "business" attitude and where possible they will milk you dry.

(4) Where do I stand after my first trip to Angeles? I will definitely return. I will also want to go to Pattaya but for now I will hold-back and see the political development in Thailand.

Cheers

Did I read a report correctly before? If you purchase and activate a magicjack in the US then you can take it to Philippines and get free calls to the US while in Philippines? I know internet services aren't the best, but I'm sure I read that somewhere here. Does anyone know about that idea?

It does work well but not with the cellular modems. But connections at the hotels offering internet connection and starbucks are good enough.

I am in the USA at the moment and will arrive in Phil next month. I have attempted to register with DIA but I'm having a problem. They ask for a Cell # to send a SMS Text to verify the account.

No prob, but when I choose the USA as my Country and then put in my 10 digit phone # in I never get the SMS Text with Access Code. WTF! I have tried it numerous times with no success.

There is not contact assistance on Website so I'm here asking for help.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for any help!

Yes I recieved the same Email. But then was asked to verify account via SMS Text. But the SMS Text I never get? This is from the DIA Website below. Maybe its a new policy?

Q: I don't have a mobile phone. Can I sign up? A: Currently you cannot sign up without a mobile phone.

If you wish to borrow a friend's mobile phone to sign up that's fine with us, but please note that only one account can be created per one mobile phone number.

Q: Why do I need a mobile phone to sign up in your site? A: We understand that this may seem strange and annoying, but account activation by mobile phone SMS makes it more difficult for people to create fake accounts because:

Only one account can be created using the same mobile phone number.

If we ban someone from our site, he or she cannot sign up again using the same mobile phone number.

When someone deletes his or her account, we limit the number of times he or she can sign up again using the same mobile phone number.

Only mobile phone numbers from a selection of countries can be used.

Q: My country is not listed. Can I sign up? A: We only support the countries listed on the Activation by Mobile Phone SMS page. You will need a mobile phone number from one of those countries.

Q: Will it cost me money to receive the activation SMS? A: We suggest contacting your mobile phone provider for details on costs associated with text messaging. These costs vary, depending on your plan and provider.

Q: How long will it take to get the SMS? A: Usually you will recive the SMS very quickly (in a matter of seconds or minutes), but sometimes the delivery can be delayed. If you have not received your activation SMS after waiting more than 24 hours you may request that the activation code is resent.

Q: Will you keep my Mobile Phone Number? A: We will use your mobile phone number to send you an activation code by SMS, and we store your mobile phone number to ensure it is not used to create more than one account.

If your account is closed by us for violating our terms of use, we will keep your number to prevent it to be used to create a new account in the future.

If you delete your account, we will keep your number to make sure you don't create too many new accounts during a given period of time.

We will not sell your personal information for marketing purposes without your permission, nor will we contact you using this number without your expressed permission.

Your mobile phone number will not be visible/available to the public or to the other members of the site.

Q: How many accounts can be created with the same number? A: Only one account can be exist per mobile phone number at any given time, and please remember that you may only create and operate one account in our site at any given time, regardless of how many mobile telephone numbers you may have at your displosal.

If you delete your account, you may use the same mobile phone number to create a new account, provided that the following conditions are met:

The same number cannot be reused within the first 24 hours.

The same number may be reused a maximum of 2 times per 1 week.

The same number may be reused a maximum of 3 times per 1 months.

The same number may be reused a maximum of 4 times per 6 months

i created a new DIA profile for a freind on my laptop and (for the first time) it asked for this TXT code . Maybe it checks if there have been previous profiles opened on that computer/IP address and only sends the message asking for SMS clearance in suspicious cases??

Hi I will soon need a 3rd visa renewal. For my second one i had to pay an additional charge of $50 for an electronic ID or something. But i never had chance to pick it up in Cebu. now I am in Puerto Princesa. Does anyone knows whether , because I haventg picked it up they are going to charge me again.

I think these things were only introduced recently *(as yet another way of scamming tourists re visas) Does anyone know exactly what they are, what they look like, How long they might hold it at the Cebu immigration office etc?

My understanding is that this is your ACR card which is now required with the first 59 day extension (not the 21 to 59 day). The card is supposed to be good for a year. Not all offices are able to issue you this card, but they are charging you for it. The advice I've seen elsewhere says to hang on to your receipts, especially the one that mentions the expense for the card so that you can show you've already paid for it when you do subsequent extensions. Hope that helps.

I've been chatting with some young hotties on CB. They all say the same thing. They want a "serious man. " Translation. A guy to marry them and get them out of there.

Here's my question. If you go over there mongering and meet up with these girls (especially the 20-21 year olds).can you get them in the sack (since they are non-pros) after one date (or at the end of the first date). I'm only going to be there for a few days. And don't really want to work at it that hard. The girls seem eager to meet.

I cold go the easy route with pros. But like the idea of the enthusiastic young no-pros,

Anybody have any advice with this?

Thanks!

Blackangst is right it is discussed extensively on the dating section but to summarise (at least my take on it).

1 The prime motive of the majority of girls (apart from scammers is to find some medium-long term relationship hopefully leading to marriage and hitting the jackpot.)

2 However, if (1) is not on the menu, then maybe 30-40% will be open to a shorter term romp.

3 The majority of the girls will not discuss money but in my view (and again this has been lengthily discussed of late), if you have gone for short term fun they will be very much expecting/hoping some sort of financial payback 500P short time or 1000P overnight is probably the "going rate" but some of the cuter or more experienced ones will have higher expectations. One can handle the often embarrassing issue of payback by "here is something for your taxi " or " I would have bought you a present but I didn't know exactly what you wanted "

4 If you are here for just 2 or 3 days the key to this is to sort out if the girl is in the 30% who can beforehand by being pretty upfront in your profile and clear in subsequent messages. Otherwise you are going to waste alot of time.

5 Being late or no shows is pretty common, its best to have a plan b or c

6 Angeles is probably the worst city for online dating as there is so much commercial stuff going on.

7 Manila and Cebu are probably the best as there are plenty of open minded girls there.

8 In other towns it is very possible, but the numbers are likely to be smaller and results more hot and miss.

GregLondon
05-23-10, 01:50
Maybe 1 in 10 girls will request you don't use a condom. In my view , unless you have had a vasectomy this is reckless as it potentially opens you up to a "honey Ive missed two periods" email 3 months later

This is from another Philippine forum:

Anyway, as of an hour ago, I counted 71 DIA pages of girls from "Angeles," 150 pages of girls from "Angeles City," and a smattering of girls from Pampanga, AC and a few misspellings. There are 10 girls per page, so that amounts to something on the order of 2100-2200 DIA profiles from AC.

You are absolutely right, there are many and many of those are cute. But in my experience a high proportion are bar girls or cam girls etc. Most bar girls have a problem with "sneaking out" as they are heavily penalised if they are caught with guys outside the barfine system. So often they will say Ok meet me at such and such a bar- in which case you may as well have saved yourself the hassle and found the one you most liked in physical reality. That said I have met a couple of excellent girls from DIA in AC but myt percentage success was not as high as in say Cebu. But you are right its certainly not the worse place in Phils for DIA.

I was going to come over there in late sept. But my schedual has advanced.

So, I'm coming in a few weeks, 3rd week in June,

I assume it will be like Thailand in rainey season.

It seems the temperature does not vary too much, always hot. Hehehe.

I still have not made up my mind what place I, m going to yet, probably Cebu and work my way up and down the coast to find the perfect beach bungalow with wi-fi and air-con.

Any info on being there during rain season and beach places will be appreciated.

Similar to the recent quote recently, in an idle moment, I searched DIA for women online from Cebu, aged 18 to 34. I got more than 1200 profiles. Amazing. Cagayan de Oro was about 1,000.

And this was in the morning, my time.

Wow.

I think the farther south you go, the fewer problems of the rainy season. It really does vary island to island and even what side of the island / mountain you are on.

Thailand (BKK vs Pattaya vs. Koh Samui vs. Phuket) has the same issues.

Good luck.

Me too :) I am also going to Subic Bay area 3rd week of June. I have been there and in Angeles City past two Summers. I have not been in Thailand on its rainy season so cannot compare. The Summer two years ago was rainy, last Summer not that much. Day time there can be heavy but short rain showers. From minutes to half an hour. In the evenings it may rain heavy much longer times. If not raining the sky may have thick clouds all day. It could be difficult to burn your skin or even getting a tan. I would not plan for a beach vacation. Not in Subic Bay anyway. For other areas I do not have personal experience.

I have been a few times to Thailand and am contemplating my first visit to the Phillipines the next time in Asia. I have a few questions in terms of the type of girls and the service between Bangkok and Manila.

1) I like light skinned, curvy girls (with see cup or above tits). Is the supply better in Manila than Bangkok?

2) I like the GFE service (BBBJ/CIM, DFK etc.) that is more the norm in Bangkok. Is that available in Manila?

3) From the reports, it looks like Manila is more like the Biergarden FL scene and cheaper than Bangkok. Are there no equivalents of hard core service (incl. Anal) you can get at some of the massage parlors like Tulip or Mango in Bangkok?

I am generally able to take a day off in transit, so I would rather look for sure bets, even at a slightly higher price.

Thanks in advance.

Good summary by White Whale.

According to weatherbase.com:

Average Manila rainfall for June / July / August is 10.3 / 15.9 / 14.4 inches
Average Cebu rainfall for same period is 7 / 7.2 / 4.7

But researching it on other sites I have found many reports saying they dump all the raw sewage from many communites into the bay. And ALL warn, do not swim there.

Cam Girl Sites – Filipina Magic only charges a $1.00 a min. unlike some of the others that charge around $3.00 a min and it’s actually owned by ACM. They will give you a lot of inside info on what happens behind the sex scene too if you ask. Get's old after awhile and be careful some will suck you dry before you know it. Lol.

I've been researching the same info and will be in Phil late June early July.

So, if Subic Bay is not a good beach area durring this time of year are there any suggestions of what other place may be better? I was considering Boracay for a few days.

This site below has live satellite images of phil and weather conditions.

Good summary by White Whale.

According to weatherbase.com:

Average Manila rainfall for June / July / August is 10.3 / 15.9 / 14.4 inches
Average Cebu rainfall for same period is 7 / 7.2 / 4.7

Another good website for weather is wunderground.com

Here are some web links to sites that I have found useful. I thought this would be helpful to lump them all in one post. It took me awhile to follow the different threads and surf the internet to find the best sites to Chat with Filipinas, plan a trip and so on. Hope this helps other travelers to Phil.
Great collection/selection. Thanks! tubegalore is particularly good.

Do you know anything about Tagum city and surrounding area?

I have heard there is the Muslim problems down that way, but a dia girl insists that it is not a problem and many nice beachs south of there.

I want to chill out, with pussy and script writing, not be held hostage by some fukking wacko's wanting to behead me.
I've been in Tagum before, no Muslim problem at all. Same situation as Davao, to which it is very close in fact. I found all the East coast of Mindanao to be no problem (including Butuan, Surigao, etc).

Some of the guys planning to come to Mindanao really need to download a decent map, study the geography, and memorize the location of some of the larger areas. Tagum is about 30 minutes outside of Davao. There's no unrest whatsoever. The closest conflict situations to Davao are about 3 hours or so West of here, and even in these places, the conflict occurs in fairly remote rural areas where no expats would think of going.

Interesting AV. I'd be interested to learn which places specifically you think are deteriorating--outside of the ARMM and the whole Cotabato area. My sense is that things have actually gotten a bit more stable over the six plus years that I've been here. I had a long, pretty interesting conversation yesterday with a very senior politician from Sulu, and came away with some optimism that even there, things will soon change for the better. The only place I can think of that's done downhill from a security standpoint, since I've been here, is Zamboanga, where I'm headed today. But again, that's only perception and I've got nothing factual to back any of this up.

GEYou're probably in a better position to know than me GE.

Like you I'm working off my perception of the situation. I keep my eyes & ears open. I'm sure many of my ex-pat mates living in some of the cities there will continue on in blissful ignorance with business as usual for years to come.

I've always been aware of the dangers of living there and found the risk/reward ratio favorable but I'm not comfortable with many areas of Mindanao any longer. Just a gut feeling based on watching & listening to what is going on.

The ruling elite (quaintly termed government) will not let this resource rich area go without a fight. A few years ago I was guardedly optimistic but not now.

Recently I went to visit the town of an old flame & stayed overnight. The MILF/NPA/Abu (call 'em what you like) turned up & pillaged the place at will while everyone including the Barangay captain (who is strong on law & order) cowered behind barricaded doors. This is 30 mins from an jet airport in a place formerly considered safe. Im not that enamored of Mindanao that I'm going to keep retreating to new 'safe haven's' there. Zamboanga? Been there in the past for fun, not going there any more dude. I have too much to live for. Im sure I could get on a flight there tomorrow, walk around & probably nothing bad would happen but why push your luck?

When I first arrived 13 years ago Zamboanga City was my favorite place on my work and visit schedule. I loved to stay at the Lantaka Hotel, right on the water's edge, and breakfast on the terrace looking out towards Basilan Island was bliss. I was actually there on the weekend the (then unknown) Abu Sayyaf kidnapped a German guy and his wife and 2 kids soon after they had left Lantaka in a motorboat for a picnic on the sandy islands a few kms offshore. The AS let them go for a few thousand php but then all hell broke loose and alas - no more visits.
I lived in Davao for 2 years 2002 - 2004 and it is STILL my preferred destination to live if ever I retired and moved from Manila.
I like the northern strip too - Bukidnon to Cagayan de Oro across to Gingoog City and Butuan and Surigao, but the road between Butuan and Davao is now not considered safe due to random NPA activity.
Like Amavida, my days of venturing off the beaten track in Mindanao have long gone. It's fly-in to CdO or Davao for me nowadays, and leave once business is done.

Subic beaches not polluted with sewerage. Who told you guys that? AV

When I was there in December local folks recommended not swimming anywhere near where the Olongapo River flows into Subic Bay. They indicated that raw sewage flows out of the thousands of homes along the river and into the bay. They suggested it is safer to swim at the beaches further to the North or out near the mouth of Subic Bay. Three other Westerners and I swam at a beach next to Ocean Adventures (Philippines version of Sea World, but their animals don't kill their trainers). There's a nice resort there. We sauntered in and ordered lunch and drinks and then used their beach. The beach wasn't great but the water was comfortable and the resort maintained a float and diving platform out in diving depth. None of us got sick -- yet.

The nicest and cleanest beaches I have seen in the Phils are on Palawan. From the plane you can see they go for miles but remain relatively undeveloped. East Asians aren't yet showing up in great numbers. But these beaches are definitely BYOG. If you go through Puerto Princesa you might recruit company at a little club near the airport.

Bukidnon to Cagayan de Oro across to Gingoog City and Butuan and Surigao, but the road between Butuan and Davao is now not considered safe due to random NPA activity I usually don't really worry about NPA. I have heard that they are not after foreigners (maybe very bad advice I don't know). In the worst case they would steal whatever I have, and I never carry an awful lot. kidnapping is another ball game, and I don't think I ever heard the NPA kidnapping foreigners. Only heard that about Abou Sayaf (not even MILF but that may of course be more likely). I may be very misinformed, though, but that's the modus operatus on which I have been travelling so far.

Besides, if we speak NPA, then it is would not be specific to Mindanao. At this rate, it wouldn't be safe to travel in the Northern Luzon area, or anywhere in the Philippines for that matter. Over the years, though, I felt that their presence around the country was in sharp decrease. I don't think that today it really is a problem. For me they are about as a problem as any random hold upper, and these are things you can't control other than locking yourself in the bathroom with a survival kit and never going out.

If you walk over the bridge from Olonggapo to Subic you dont need to be told not to swim in or near the river. Standeard advice all over the PI. Rivers are totally abused here. The default choice is the beaches over in the Barrio. Sorry for confusion.

This was at night. First I knew people were running in their houses & locked themselves in. The 'rebels' spent about 30 min's helping themselves to livestock, gasoline and supplies. They were armed with millitary rifles and in assorted semi millitary clothing. I was told to stay absolutely silent & out of sight because of the extreme risk of kidnap.
Some houses they banged on the door's demanding (& getting) bags of rice & fish.

Thats as close as I ever want to come thanks very fuckin much.

I travel a lot in NPA areas and they are much better than non-NPA areas when it comes to personal safety. Just listen to the locals and their advise. Dont be too interested in certain topics. If you work of a government agency or something like the Red Cross, dont go. Otherwise the NPA keeps common crime at a low level. So no traffic tickets (cops keep indoors) or robberies (NPA is tough on criminals).

Muslims. I guess AV was talking about Iligan and that Milf (not what you think guys...) raid some time ago. Again, I travel in MILF and MNLF areas and zero problems as long as you observe discretion. To put MILF and Abu Shit in the same basket is really over the top. The major problem in the Cotabato area is more the private kidnapping business. MILF and NPA have a cooperation agreement and I dont think that be-headings Abu Shit stile are part of it. But if your after Muslim ladies, the family might solve the issue swiftly. Fingers off...

Having said that, the common board member will do good not to venture south or south-west of Davao or go far beyond Mati. Pickings are rare and too visible activities along the lines of this forum might lead to trouble. Having said that: I cant wait to get to my small place and be pampered.

It is like anywhere, in Cambodia guys go to the capitol, the beach, or Siem Reap and are doing ok, going to remote border areas and enjoying the wild west would be a bad idea. No acceptable hotels, infrastructure down, climate sometimes difficult, bad tv reception, constant brown outs, candle light or kerosene lamps, mud roads impassable, so there is nothing else to do then to hang out, drink and ..... Mindanao is partly the same. :) I luv it.

I understand, but still I'd be interested to know the town if you feel safe sharing it in a PM. Maybe I should tell our security guys if they don't already know.

I'm in Zamboanga now, and my behavior here is far different than it was six years ago, as I no longer feel secure. I go with my car and driver to my meetings, all of which are always finished by 5 in the afternoon, then I come back to the Orchid and don't go out again until my next series of meetings the next morning. I have as many meetings as I can in the hotel. I have just heard too much I guess, and sat through too many security briefings by people who know lots more about what's happening on the ground here than I do. It's too bad, as this is a nice city and I used to enjoy it.

I have stayed at Lantaka a few times in the past. Though it's gotten fairly seedy, the location is attractive. However, I don't feel safe there. It's too near the beach, thus too accessible to the bad guys from Basilan who can come over in rubber boats. I feel much more secure at the Garden Orchid where I get rooms in the back, away from the street side.

CDO and Davao are safe, secure, and hassle free, and those are the cities where I prefer to stay. Of course I live in Davao so I know the city pretty well.

They will give you a lot of inside info on what happens behind the sex scene too if you ask. Get's old after awhile and be careful some will suck you dry before you know it. Lol.

Heres a recent conversation with a cam girl that I chat with. We were chatting on her site before I moved to YM. I have arranged to play with her when I visit AC and when I was chatting her yesterday she said she had a problem. I sent her $50 recently to help her go home to vote. So I was thinking oh no she is going to ask for some money.

Nope, she told me that her pussy had a problem because she was fucking it so much with her toy. I was kind of happy she was not asking for money.

I advised her to go see a doctor and get it looked at. She has only been fucking her ass with toy for the last two weeks she told me. :) I told her to take care of her ass too and not to fuck it too much because I want to play when I see her. lol. She said she has to to fuck it because thats what customers want.

Very funny conversation. I was advising her to get her holes in shape before I visit. lol. I told her that I would personaly check out all of her holes when I visit. She said ok.

Very funny and sexy conversation.

Same problem in mountainous areas in the Philippines where people are too poor to buy a fridge. They can’t stock meat so only eat meat for big occasions when they kill a chicken or a pig. They live on mainly through dried fish (bleah!). For some reasons I also can’t swallow most of their vegetables. I found the parade by getting a mix of cooked eggs, potato and onion. That does the trick, but of course only for a while.

Even in towns where only Filipino food is to be found it is hard to survive (certainly one of the worst aspect of the Philippines), but then in remote areas.. Forget it!

2000-2500. Agent says its high time. WTF?I notice this every year. Its timeframe. Prices jump from 950+ before late April / early May. Then around 1 May they jump to 1400-1600+. Then around late May they can jump to $2K. Usually I make my spring (easter) and summer flight purchases around christmas. This year I only did the spring trip at christmas (china air was running a $644 special!), and put off purchasing the summer because I could not get set dates for my vacation. When I finally got my vacation plans set from my boss about one month ago, I got a price (again on chinair) of under $1100. About 1 week later a gent here on the board PM'd me and asked how I got that price ($1100). A check on their website showed 1400+ the cheapest, and many airlines on orbitz were closer to $2000. Wow.

From the girls that I know it was just word of mouth from one friend to the next is how they came to work there. Alot of the girls are located in AC and Manila. There is usually a boss that has what they refer to as an apartment for the girls and a computer with a cam account setup. The girls get a so called salary and the boss is supposed to buy them some food. Then the girls are required to get so much pvt time with customers to continue and working there.

Most girls dont have the money and credit up front to get the Cam account setup so they rely on someone else to work for.

The girls are happy to not have to actualy fuck the person in real but only on cam.

Slow down ;) If you stay close to the sea, you will get the best seafood ever. lapulapu in good sizes and dirt cheap, crabs, shrimps, tuna, you name it. It is fresh for exactly the reasons you deplore.
I never stay in too small places too long. So a small town is reasonably fine, say the district market town. Villages are ok for day trips or hiking.

My main point is, however, that the fears about NPA are out of place. Unless you're suspected of connections with the RP or US governments, you're just fine if not better. In Muslim areas experienced travelers will do ok, as long as they do not go south the line of Sindangan/Pagadian on the Zamboanga Peninsula. South risk increases appreciably.
In Cotabato some areas are lawless and that has not necessarily much to do with religion. Criminal networks (I m not talking about the Ampatuans etc) of small crooks might be interested in making some money.
The pickings in all these areas are slim or zero. So you will most probably go there to visit an area together with your newly found love or visit your only love. There is no or just a very small scene.
Also there is no expat-scene at all. These are places to go local and enjoy it.

In other words, locations for people with an interest in the country, people, nature etc. who are not limited to visits of bars.

Wow.Yeah, I guess school is out and many people travelling. But 2000-2500 I can stay here and get alot of spinner pussy.

Too bad as I was getting excited to visit. But only for half that price.

In other words, locations for people with an interest in the country, people, nature etc. who are not limited to visits of bars.I agree 100% with everything you say. My (big) problem is that I don't eat sea food, and I rarely if ever eat fish. Forgot to mention that. As for NPA/Muslim, we see eye to eye. I never venture West or South of Davao, but East and North no problem, and I am certainly not afraid of NPA supposedly raiding buses on the road to Butuan, even if they actually do it.

Well my 3 day trip to the Philippines is sadly over today. When last here in 1997 I worked flat out for a month and then only had one night out. This time I made sure I walked around a few shopping centres and visited some normal bars.

Nothing could have prepared me for how many beautiful women there are in this country. My lowlight was actually a girl from a gogo bar, my highlight, my temporary girlfriend who I am dangerously close to falling in love with!

If you are planning to come here and like Filipina, be prepared to be stunned. This 40 yr old guy feels like a 18 year old full of testosterone after 3 days. Thank fuck I have a business class flight to catch up on some sleep on the way home. And some good memories.

Thanks to all the past contributors who as always make ISG the great base of information for us all.

As I read it, I don't need to obtain a visa before entry into the Philippines as a British passport holder But once entered I can obtain extensions there. And will I need the proof of health insurance when going for the extentionTravelling to any country without Health Insurance carries massive risks. Imagine you get knocked down by a car, multiple breaks and a porlonged stay in hospital. You most certainly wouldn't want to spend your time in a " public hospital in Phils (if in doubt, go to PGH and see the wards there. Crowded, no air con, no privacy, and unless you have friends relatives to bring you food, you will go seriously hungry. This isn't the National Health service.

Its a sensible rule that you have health insurance and I would REALLY recommend you have some.

You can then get a further 38-day extension at a Bureau of Immigration office, WITHOUT having any health insurance.

If you go to an overseas Philippines Embassy you can apply for the 59-day visa straight up. It saves any hassles to get the extension.

Hi guys

I need some advice please. I will be in Manila 27th-30 June after a long hectic travel schedule.

I would like some beach time and have been thinking about a 4 trip to Boracay after the Manila stint. I have heard it can rain which I don't mind but would not like to spend 4 days in my room even with a wonderful woman. Do the storms, under normal circumstances, continue for days on end or do you get quick cloud bursts and then sun shine as I have experienced in phuket.

Thanks in advance

it seems that a lot of these girls are doing xxx cams to make money. I'm curious how they get involved with this type of business. Are there local recruiters? Or do they do to some kind of site and join up?Take it from someone who has lived here for a while, and not hiding in gated developments - prostitution is massive in this country. Every block in every barangay has women organising young girls to 'earn money'. The bars you guys see in AC etc are just the tip of the iceberg. The local men have a vast supply of very cheap pussy available to them for rent by the hour.

Whereas - for cigerettes, almost every bar girl smokes.

If you are referring to the 'other' cigar, then it is always a question of asking first, as some girls suddenly will decide they have sore throat, tootache, and what not, to avoid some more hard work for the money.

Hi gentlemen, It looks like I have won the lottery of sorts. I have to travel back to Manila for a project review on 2nd July and will be there for 3 days. I was planning on going home on Sunday night but am going on holiday to Malaysia the following thursday.

So rather than fly back and forth to Asia, the missus has suggested that I take a few days off and stay in Philippines :)

Of course I am resisting a little - as you should initially but this sounds like a great idea - I wish I had thought of it.

So, I have 4 days off that I really don't want to spend in Manila. I really would like to get somewhere with a decent beach to have a couple of days relaxation (possibly with a pickup), need decent internet access just in case of work and would like to go someone relatively worth while seeing.

I have Cebu, Palawan and Davao on my list. AC may be worth considering for a night on the way to pick up and go somewhere else. Davao sounds like there isn't much of a p4p scene reading the FRs but is a nice place. Palawan may be completely dead- will check.

I will read through the forums but any good suggestions for 3/4 days would be welcome. I don't want to stay in bars all day and night - but wouldnt have a problem to go to one to BF a girl for a couple of days.

Thanks

EDIT: I've looked at Bohol and that looks nice so my first choice may be into Cebu Sunday night to find a companion for Mon-Thurs in Bohol.....any of you guys done this?

EDIT: I've looked at Bohol and that looks nice so my first choice may be into Cebu Sunday night to find a companion for Mon-Thurs in Bohol.....any of you guys done this?Bohol and Cebu would be my choice for you. Sunday night is not always a good night to find someone special in a bar but you just never know.

I would go to Bohol for 2 or 3 nights only maximum, and have another night or two back in Cebu on Wednesday / Thursday.

Don't tell your escort your travel plans in case she is not included. Take her with you to Bohol; have fun; return her to Cebu; bid her farewell and then hit the other bars in Cebu for a bit more fun.

Lots of beauties available in Cebu.

Bohol is only a few hours away from Cebu by ferry. Easy travel.

Don't pay upfront for your stay in Bohol in case it all goes pear-shaped and you decide to cut out early.

This plan leaves you many options. You can keep your honey with you in Cebu when you return if she is 5-star or drop her if not. You can also stay in Bohol 4 nights if it is really special.

If you go to Palawan you will not have as many options.

I personally would leave AC off the list until you return some other time. Just dropping in to hit and run is not a good idea, but JMHO.

Plenty of better quality girls with better education and attitude in Cebu.

But you can still have fun there/here. I live in angeles and will go Bali for about ten days.

I have only been here for 3 years and usually somewhere else for September and October.

Last year it rained a bunch during September but did not affect the bar hopping and chasing girls. It did slow me down on sailing and scuba.

Even with typhoons the indoor partys are great

If you do go just try to avoid remote locations and make sure the place has a generator so if power goes out.

yes there are mobile phone shops all over the place and its a good idea to leave the iphone at home as they are something of a theft target. You can get a basic Nokia for about 1500-2000 P or a "china phone" for around the same with more functionality - especially dual sim but a weaker battery life. SIM s cost around 40-50P including say 30P of airtime. i would go with "talk and text" which is the little brother of Smart the leading operator. TnT rates are generally cheaper and you still have the advantage osf a larg number of cheaper intra network calls. if you go for a china phone, I've been pretty happy with my Cherry Mobile phone ( a china phone branded/distributed in the phils and sold with a 1 year guarantee rather than the usual month guarantee of the notoriously unreliable China phones.

If you go for a dual sim my choice for a second SIM would be SUN which has recently over taken Globe as the second most popular service and is esp popular with young girls given the budget deals they provide.

every other kiosk sells mobile phones., the prices are usually pretty competitive

Speaking of mobiles, I got an old V3x from motorola that I "bricked" trying to update the firmware / bootloader.

I read in forums that you can recover it if you know what you're doing, I can't be bothered to fix it, however if there are clever mobile phone fixers in manila that could do it for say 500. 1000 PHP, I'd be interested.

Of course the basic moron, won't know how to handle this kind of matter so I'd need the adress of a shop that know what they are dealing with.

However if you are staying in a local home better buy round pronged adapter.

I spent three days in Manila and stayed right across the street from Robinsons Mall where the is a huge cell store inside that sells new "China Phones" and also used phones. I bought a cheap unlocked phone in the states to use but ended up trading it in there for a nice used LG phone. Im going to hand off the phone ta a gf here in phil before I go home and the LG wanted to get something that was good for texting since that seams to be the craze. There is even a chanel on TV that you text into and your messages are displayed on the TV along with other text crazed locals. Kinda funny.

Greg, I saw the Chinese copy Dual Sim Card Blackberry phones. Looked pretty cool. They were asking $5000P. I said what?? The guy said oh this is our barganing point soo what do I want to offer? I was not ready to buy so did not haggle.

Do they offer a "Dual Sim" card phone in the US yet? Or is this something that will only be able to get while Im here? I love the idea of having a business Phone Line as well as a Personal Line all on one phone.

There are only a few cell providers and most charge around 2.5 php per minute for airtime, outgoing. Incoming calls are free.

If you are calling to the U.S. pick up a PLDT budget card. Rates are on the order of $0.03 per minute.

Alternatively, if you have a laptop or 3G phone, buy and register Magic Jack in the U.S. before you travel. All your calls will then be free!

So, can someone with experience in the Philappines (beyond Manila and Angeles) please tell me if there is some P4P and other options in Puerto Galera. Or will I be going cold turkey for two weeks? In other words, what is the situation regarding available women for older men in Puerto Galera?

Research Sabang maybe instead.

Research Sabang maybe instead.I went to White Beach on Puerto Galera for about a week and if I didn't take some pussy with me then I would have been alone the entire time. White beach is full of lady-boys and no women that are looking for P4P.

The girl that I took wanted to go to White Beach instead of Sabang because she said diving was better in Sabang but too many girls at the bars trying to pick up Americans. Definitely not White Beach for finding a woman. I last visited Oct 2009 to White Beach.

I really wish I had "verifiable" information on Sabang for you though.

Whoa! Before your advice gets other folks equipment fried, I will say that in ALL parts of the RP other than central Baguio, the voltage is definitely not 110 VAC. It's 220V 60 hz. Just because the plug looks the same doesn't mean that the voltage is the same as North America.Anyway, most of the adaptors nowadays are wide voltage 110-220, so phone chargers don't generally get fried.

Other adaptors? Nope, not sure

I fried a battery on one of my cell phones by not paying attention and plugging it into the 220 volt plug. Ended up trading it in for an upgrade anyway. Lesson learned. The hotels offer a power converter if they are not already in use with another guest.

I am in the middle of a little experiment and I am interested to see how long it will run.
I am currently up to number 9. That's the number of girls that I have met over the past 3 weeks who have ALL been AT LEAST 25 MINUTES late for our meeting. One of them was a repeat offender (30 mins and 40 mins late in that order). Two of them were 50 minutes late; another was 65 minutes late.

Now I know we have all discussed this aspect and laughed about it and called it "filipino time" and I can excuse anyone who gets caught up in unexpected traffic or a serious rainstorm or a family crisis but my examples include none of that. This is just total immaturity and lack of any ability to organise themselves.
They are all mature (ie. over 28 yo) and all of them know exactly how long it takes to get to the places where I had planned to meet them.
It seems extraordinary to me that they treat a designated meeting time with such a cavalier attitude. I know very well how long it can or might take to get from my home to (say) Greenbelt in Makati, and if I suspect the traffic will be busy then I LEAVE EARLIER so I can be there a few minutes before a designated meeting time.
It's not as though the women I were meeting were busy or had busy lives or other appointments. They were all sitting home doing f..all, so this whole thing not only bewilders me but pisses me right off.

Knowing many filipinas, they would have been evaluating the best proposal, or choosing between making money or spending money. Before going your way.

You should always never tightly schedule anything in Philippines, and that goes for office girls as well.

"Let's meet at 9". Means, "let me finish work at 8, have a coffee with my mate who is pregnant, and ensure the other girls has signed off, and then let me also talk to my canadian boyfriend for one hour. And then let me come up to your hotel. "

Trust me. It doesn't make sense researching such stuff.

If they are late, that means you are low on their priority list, or you are not paying enough to tempt them. No offence.!

For that matter, the best story I heard was, a girl living in Tondo, asked her to come to Makati, and I said I will pay the taxi fare. She turns up 2 hours later, and after some wine and whiskey, she blurts out that she was late, because, as she is starting work in Makati next week, she wanted to know how long it takes by public transport, all the while when my anger was rising and when I asked her why she did that shit at the expense of my waiting like and idiot. The classical filipina reply. "You seem angry, you want me to go away? "

Well, it has been 4 or 5 years since I lost my temper on a filipina for being late.

PS: not only filipinas, even Filipino guys too are late for un-official appointments, like when I meet my Filipino colleagues in Manila. They take their own cool time and any prodding will only come back with a reply "why don't you relax, and extend your stay, instead of rushing like mad."

I really wish I had "verifiable" information on Sabang for you though.

I have been going to Sabang for around 15 years, at least twice a year, and I was last there last week.

If you want the combination of diving, beach and babes, Sabang is the best (only!) choice in the Puerto Galera area. It has many resorts of all price ranges, a wide variety of dive sites all within a 10 minute boat ride from the shore, and swimmable beaches within a 10 minute walk. There are also 6 girilie bars in Sabang itself all within about 50 meters of each other, as well as a disco and two 'LA Cafe' type pubs with pool tables where some freelancers hang out.

In the Sabang girlie bars the fee system is a fairly standard 250P LD, 1000P BF plus 1000P 'Tip' for the girl in the morning. LT (all night) is the norm, and unlike AC, the punter is definitely expected to give the gal 1000P in the morning--it should not be considered 'optional' (unless you are exceedingly unhappy with the service--or lack thereof). The quality of gals of course does vary, but as of last week, there were definitely enough good-looking gals around in the bars to keep most punters happy for a few days. The only 'problem' (I hesitate to use that term as it could be construed as being, prejudicial, which I am not) in the bars at Sabang is what is often referred to as the 'Korean Sweep'. It is not uncommon for a group of Korean divers to stroll into a bar at, say, 8 pm, and walk out 20 minutes later with 15 gals. However, as mentioned before, with 6 bars each having around 50 gals, there are normally more than enough to go around.

Interestingly, there are also quite a lot of couples, families and other non-P4P types who visit Sabang, so there is no need to simply cross it off your list of possibilities even if you are bringing your own gal.

Hope this helps.

That's a really common thing you know, their thinking is 'I'll be on time when I arrive' ...I've seen it so many times, jibber jabbering with a family member for ages, let's quicky brush the floor, it'll only take minute when it has never taken less than 5 or stoopid little house jobs of all kinds that suddenly spring to mind. Best to just factor that into your itinerary for the evening and be clever about it e.g. if we're going to the movies and the film starts at 5pm I'll tell her it starts at 4:30... incidentally I am at master at snake on my nokia :p

Never really an issue even if you ring more unless you ring some other contraand articles and they do a thorough search.

It becomes a very big issue if you bring in more than you are allowed and you don't declare it and then they find it either on you or in your bags. It is the same situation if you take out more than you are allowed.
There have been a number of stories in the local newspapers here of people getting caught both ways

Hi Manta,

I am going to Sabang in about 2 weeks. Could you tell me the name of those freelance and disco type places?

If you are around drinks are on me!

Hi D1,

The pubs are:

1)Big Apple (same owners as LAC and Howzat pub in Manila). It is on the beach in the middle of Sabang, has pool tables, and good food (with an impressive Indian curry menu!).

2) Broadway. It also has pool tables, and a live band from around 9pm most evenings. Quite a lot of freelancers hang out there listening to music while nursing their drinks.

The disco (forgot the name), is upstairs from Venus Bar. Once again, freelancers hang out there, as well as off-duty BGs and BGs with their 'guest'.

*Keep in mind that it is low season, so there will not be quite as many FLs around as there are from Nov-April. But of course there are always some around! BTW, the norm for a FL LT (all night) is 1000P

I'm in Manila (Makati) at present, so if you are in town for an evening or two get in touch and we can have a beer or three.

I have recently been with girls who go to school and/or work, ON TIME. The local American call center threatens to terminate for one minute late. The question is how they treat personal relationships. A policeman friend insisted to me that filipinos do not respect one another--no not cops, not teachers--except for lawyers (as an American that made me laugh). I let them know that I cancel after 15 minutes. A filipina might not show up at all, and not send a text. So I need some arbitrary limit. Dates for them are optional--something might come up for either party and take precedence. I explain that dating a foreigner must be treated like work or school. We take it more seriously than do pinoys.

Hello all,

I have a bit of a strange request, and was hoping that you experienced lads might be able to point me in the right direction. I'm visiting the Phils in August on my way home to Australia for a few weeks. Now. I'm going to Boracay (and Cebu and very briefly Manila). Which means that I can only have 10kgs of luggage.

Now. I usually have about 20kgs when I head home. So I'm wondering if anyone knows somewhere in Manila with secure lockers or storage. Where I can leave my bag while I go to Cebu and Boracay, and collect again on my way through Manila? There won't be anything of value in the bag. Just clothes. So it's very small risk.

I've looked around, but can't find out if there are lockers at the airport, or anywhere nearby.

Thanks chaps!

Why not spend a night in Manila at a respectable hotel and ask them to let you leave your luggage there to be collected on your return. Provided you spend at least one night on accommodation at their establishment any decent hotel will store your luggage for you free of charge until you want to pick it up.

Alternatively, there is a luggage storage facility in NAIA 1 and 2 (near the luggage carousels). You can ask an employee . I believe it will cost you P300 per day to store your bags.

RobbWhen I worked there I never had a problem with my staff either. They were invariably on time. Now, girls who don't work, are less educated, and maybe don't own a watch may have a different approach to time, but amongst Filipinos who have a good work ethic time is not an issue. And that includes those who travel 2 hours a day EACH WAY, to work.

Aha there's the difference mate.
You mentioned the filipinas you met in SIN being on time. Most girls that have been outside the country and working in places where "time is money" like Singapore, HK, Australia etc soon learn to pay a bit more attention to punctuality.
Some girls turn it back on us by saying we should just chill out and not be so obsessed about time.
I wish I could be but when you plan to meet a girl at 6 pm, you give her more than 24 hours notice; you tell her NOT to be late; you remind her 6 hours before, and she still turns up 40 minutes late, then I see it as a real insult and it tells me lots about her. It sure doesn't encourage a "repeat meet".

MuffFind the flight you want her on. Have a travel agent make the arrangements. Yes, its becoming common to require the card-holder (you) to show up at the departure airport and fly with the companion. Previous to this, it was too easy for your gf to get your credit card number, purchase a ticket (or tickets for her family) over the phone, and scam you (or anyone else they could get a CC number from). Your presence eliminates this.

Your gf already has her travel visa?

Hmm.. interesting. My friend right now is currently in the process of trying to bring his GF from Cebu, Philippines to Hawaii on a Tourist Visa.

So, let's say the sponsor which is my friend here in Hawaii has the cash to sponsor her for a 2 week stay in Hawaii. He has to provide his current bank statement, passport copy, written letter etc. But, his GF who is the visitor, is currently going to school but, is not working right now. Now, based on her current situation, does that mean that the chances of him bringing her to Hawaii on a tourist visa will most likely not go through?

hmm.. interesting. my friend right now is currently in the process of trying to bring his gf from cebu, philippines to hawaii on a tourist visa.

so, let's say the sponsor which is my friend here in hawaii has the cash to sponsor her for a 2 week stay in hawaii. he has to provide his current bank statement, passport copy, written letter etc. but, his gf who is the visitor, is currently going to school but, is not working right now. now, based on her current situation, does that mean that the chances of him bringing her to hawaii on a tourist visa will most likely not go through?i had planned to bring my current gf to visit the us. if you read the us embassy website, they really don't care about funds here in the us, they even said on their own website that they probably wouldn't even look at the affidavit of support. they are concerned mostly about what ties her to the philippines and what will bring her back home. if she's traveled overseas before and went back home, that's much better. best thing for her is to own a home, have a good paying job, immediate family staying in philippines, or just anything that the embassy will see as making her come back home.

apparently, there's a loophole that they are aware of, that allows her to stay in the us if she arrives on a visitor's visa.

i think that's why you hear that "just about all" visitor's visas from philippines are denied. hardly anyone there that applies has anything of good value that keeps them tied to the philippines.

i've even decided to scrape the idea of my gf visiting based on what i've read from other sites as well, and just spend 2 weeks with her in cebu.

They don't care about the sponsor. Its the tourist they are concerned about. They want to ensure that she will leave the country when her time is up. If she doesn't have a job and/or property. Why would they believe she would come back to the PI.

Without those she has zero chance of getting a tourist visa, if it would be that easy the bars would be half empty. Every monger would have a babe come back with them for 2 wks then kick her back and each year get another.come dude think about it.

Then again - who am I to say about the chance of her heading back to her kabayan lover ?? (PS: enough filipina girls prefer to screw their countrymen over a rich old millionairre expat simply because they say making love to a filipino is very emotional - unlike screwing a foreigner .. )

I am surprised at the sponsorship part. My understanding of the US tourist visa process is that the embassy doesn't take sponsorship items into account at all. They assume every applicant is going TNT and so it is completely on the applicant to prove to the embassy that he or she will return to the Phils. This is because there is already a sizable population of illegal filipinos in the US. Successful criteria typically include business owner or other high level professional job, property owner, family dependents and last but not least, sizable "seasoned" funds in own bank account(s). As a result, it is extremely rare for anyone outside of the wealthy to get a tourist visa.

Long story short: your friend's girl isn't going to make the cut. Period. Don't waste the money on the application fee.

We mongers tend to dangle our rods in the lower, murkier, needier depths of the socio-economic fish pond, so it’s inevitable that sooner or later (sooner!), we’ll be hit up for money by a gal friend or acquaintance. It may be 5p for phone load, 500p for a bus ticket back to the province, 5000p for next month’s rent or 50,000 p for uncle Fernando’s gallstone surgery. Whatever the amount and whatever the reason, if we play here in the Philippines for any length of time, we will at some point be the recipient of that coy little teaser, ‘I’m shy to ask, and hope you not get angry, but I have problem and need a favor…’

No doubt we have all worked out our own ways of dealing with this inevitability that works, more or less. It might be a strict policy of ‘never under any circumstances’, or a more flexible ‘case by case’ approach. Whatever tack we take, it will be based on a combination of our personality traits, our transitory mood, our current financial situation, our ‘relationship’ with the gal, and our level of horniness—not necessarily in that order.

I tend to be a bit soft-hearted, to the point where I can easily allow myself to be guilt-tripped into forking over loot to a gal for rather specious reasons. I have also been known to foolishly (in moments of raging testosterone) delegate my financial decision-making to my pecker—which usually costs me dearly. So, I’ve come up with a set of ‘money rules’ I can apply to my gals-in-need that work (more or less) for me. They aren’t by any means full-proof, and I do occasionally have to revise, or even sidestep them, but in general they do get me by and keep me (relatively) sane and solvent. Here they are:

1) I never (Never!) send money in any form to a gal I have not yet met in person.
*Believe it or not (Of course you believe it, this is PI!), I sometimes get hit up for money (usually phone pasaload) by DIA gals with whom I’ve exchanged a few messages (and phone numbers), but have not yet met. I always ignore their request—no matter how fuckable the gal looks in her profile pic. I figure that if they’re asking me for a hand-out this early in our, er, relationship, meeting them in person can only be trouble. When in doubt, I remind myself of the well-worn adage, ‘There is nothing more expensive than free sex.’

2) If I send a gal (I’ve already met!) money or phone load, I’ll never do it again unless she had quickly sent me a sincere-sounding ‘thank you’ text for the loan or load I sent her last time.
*Call me old-fashioned, but to me failing to show appreciation for a loan or gift (no matter how small) is unacceptable. When feeling too sympathetic, I remind myself that rich or poor, there are already enough ungrateful spoiled brats in this world.

3) I never lend money to a gal who still owes me money from a previous loan.
*Fairly simple thinking here: don’t throw good money after bad. If a gal asks me for money when she still owes me from last time, I just tell her that I would be willing to help her after she pays me back what she owes me.

4) When a gal asks me for money, I force her to clarify whether she expects it to be a loan or a gift, and if a loan, when she expects to pay me back.
*In my experience the gals almost always say something like, ‘it’s a loan, I promise to pay you back.’ However, when I ask them when they will pay me back, they usually get a bit vague… ‘maybe next month’, or ‘when I get my next salary’, or ‘after I get a job’. I understand their financial difficulties, really, but I tell them, ‘that’s not good enough. I want us to fix a date for you to pay me back. You tell me when you really think you can do it.’ It’s tough for them, I know, but as far as I’m concerned they’re getting an interest free loan and I want them to take some responsibility for doing their share to make it go smoothly for both of us.

5) When I lend or give a gal money, I ask her to tell me in detail what she is going to use it for. I don’t accept answers like ‘for medicine’, ‘for bus ticket’, ‘for my younger brother’s education’. I want to know exactly what medicine, how much it costs, where they will buy it, what the exact bus fare is, what school the brother is attending, etc.
*Once again, I want them to take some responsibility and make some effort. I don’t want them to think it is just a matter of they ask and I give. I also figure that they can't possibly know how much they actually need from me unless they have the details I ask for. And, of course, I don’t want to be duped. If they can’t be specific enough to satisfy me (or put enough effort into concocting a good story), I tell them to go get the information I want and then come back and ask me again. Harsh? Yes. But, hey, why should I take more risk than I need to.

6) If at all possible, I try to provide the end product or service myself, rather than simply provide the money.
*I guess this is my cynical side coming out, but once again, as much as I might trust the gal, I don’t necessarily trust her family, friends or secret Filipino boyfriend. I have seen ‘my son’s medicine’ money end up to be papa’s beer money! So, if my gal needs medicine for a family member, I prefer her to tell me the name of the medicine, the brand, the amount, etc. and, if possible, I will buy it and give it, or send it, to her. If it’s not possible, I tell her in advance that I will want to see a receipt for what she bought or I will never lend her money again.

OK, here are a few recent personal ‘Case Studies’ which have forced me to put my 'money rules' into action:

Jessica
We briefly dated around 6 months ago, but I decided she was far too possessive for me, so we’re now just friends. A few months ago she lost her job and needed money for paperwork for a new contract. I lent her 2000p using the conditions above. She paid me back fully on time. Then a month later she needed another 1500p for rent. I lent it to her with the agreement that she would pay me back at the beginning of July. Then yesterday, she texted me to say her grandfather died and she wanted to go back to her province for his funeral and needed 4000p. I texted back, ‘sorry to hear that, my condolences, I’ll help u after u pay me back the 1500p u owe me’. She immediately got back to me, ‘I have it now, lets meet and I give it to u.’ So, we met this morning, she handed me the 1500p, and then I gave it back to her with 1500p more—but not before I made her tell me exactly what form of transportation she was going to use, where she was going, what the fare was, and when she would pay me back. From what she told me, I agreed to lend her only 3000p, and she agreed to pay me back by Aug 1st.

Gloria
We met about 3 months ago in Puerto Galera where she was on vacation with a few friends (ok, ok, I admit it, a semi-freelancer). Very sweet, lovely gal who has never asked me for money before, not even for taxi fares when she visits me (though I force her to take it). A few weeks ago, we’re at my place, curled up on the sofa after a great two hour bonk session, when she fidgets a bit, clears her throat, and launches into the ‘I’m shy to ask, and hope you don’t get angry, but I hope you can do me a favor…’. She tells me it is her nephew’s last semester of his HRM course, that she has a responsibility to help him pay the tuition but it is 8,000p, she only has 3,500p, and it must be paid in the next two weeks. I am tempted to just fork over the 4500p on the spot, but I stop and tell myself to follow my own rules. So, I ask her the name of the school, the exact title of the course, the name of her nephew and the exact date by which the tuition must be paid. Then I tell her that I’m happy to help her, so I want her to write down for me all the information, including the address of the school (in QC), and to give me the 3,500p she has for the tuition, and that I will then be happy to go (on my own or with her and her nephew) to the school and pay the tuition. She looks a bit shell-shocked at my instructions, and mumbles that she will try to get me all the info I need. I smile and tell her I think she is wonderful for supporting her nephew’s education. Meanwhile, it is now three weeks later and she has not mentioned her nephew’s tuition again, and neither have I. Hmmmm….

Nita
We’ve known each other many years, never dated or been romantically involved, just good friends. I’ve helped her out financially a couple of times in the past, always with the understanding that it was a gift, not a loan. She is now living in province (Bicol) but we are in frequent text contact. Last week, she texted me to say the children in her kid’s school are having a hard time coz their classroom has no fan and they can’t concentrate due to the heat. I ask her how much a fan costs and she tells me 1500p-2000p. I tell her I will send 2000p (by LBC) but I need her to give me the name and phone number of the teacher or principal, and the name and address of the school first. I also tell her that after they buy the fan, she needs to send me the receipt so I can use it for tax purposes (a white lie as I really just don’t want to sound suspicious—which actually I am not!). She says that’s fine, and texts me all the info I need. Then, just before I am about to go and send the money, I get a text from her saying, ‘hope I catch u in time, no need to buy fan coz new elected vice-mayor gave da school a new fan 2day. thank u so much anyway.’ Hmmmm, happy ending, I guess.

I met her about 6 months ago when she was working at one of the bars on Burgos. Lovely, outgoing, funny gal with a voluptuous mouth and the kind of slim, tight, angular body that drives me nuts. Since then we have seen each other 4 or 5 times, and are in regular text contact. She quit her job about four months ago, and started working in a factory in Mandaluyong. Tough to make ends meet with a factory job and family pressures, so about three months ago she asked me for 2500p coz her sister had an appendicitis attack and needed urgent medical attention which her family could not fully pay for. I wanted to take care of buying the medicines myself, but my work schedule was tight at the time, so I (foolishly?) just gave her the money after getting all the details I could. She insisted it was a ‘loan’ and would pay me back within two months. Then about a month ago she went back to province for family stuff but still kept in fairly regular text contact. About two weeks ago she started texting more urgently telling me she wanted to go back to Manila to her factory job but didn’t have the money for the ticket, and could I help her with 1000p. I was firm and said, that I would help her after she paid me back the 2500p she owed me. Then more urgent texts from her, pleading and promising to pay me back everything (3500p) by the end of July if I would only help her this time. Hmmmm, what to do? I was about to text her to say ‘sorry, I will only help you after you pay me back’, when I started thinking about those lusciously full lips wrapped around my throbbing, rock hard cock, and those smooth, slender, brown thighs spread wide open to reveal her silky, shiny, glistening, fully shaved pussy. And I caved. Yep, I texted her back and said I would send her the 1000p that day.

Damn, and I thought these fucking rules were so damn clever. Well, I did say they weren’t full proof. So, back to the drawing board!

Though, I know filipinos have their own channels, such as applying for Bahamas, and applying on Cruise lines .. and so and so .. approx 5,000 US$ should fix it - it seems - though how much of that goes to the 'family benevolent fund' - I have no clue.

I have a much simpler approach that I've been very happy with: I never loan money to a Filipino.

I'll give them a gift, or I will help them in non-monetary ways. But no loans, no headaches, no regrets. Once I hand over money, I count it gone.

But that is just me.

Its 750 php payable at the first checkpoint you get to for international flights. As I always return home with pesos, I take 750 and fold it up and put it in the back of my wallet for the departure tax on the next trip.

In your opinion, were is the best place to live in the Philippines?

What I have in mind is a city that has either reasonable flight connections to other countries or to Manila, has relatively low crime and hassle factors and access to quality pay for play when it is required.

All suggestions gratefully received!

Domestic flight airport tax is airport dependant, and i have paid 20 peso at a remote landing strip, to 40 peso in another domestic terminal

The Philippines Aviation Authority say "The tax is for you to enjoy the previleges of the Terminal and facilities. " whatever that means.

Having travelled to many parts of Philippines. Really crime free zones have no P4P, and if you 'import' your stuff, the natives will become enemies. As a doctor who was working in a remote hospital found out.

Choose what you want.comfortable safe life. Manila / Makati, Cheap P4P. Your choice just opened up.

Or retired living. Then you can even look at Anilao Beach and some areas in Batangas, PG.

I can help from time to time (rare) with small gifts of up to 5000 pesos, but loan is useless. When Filipino say loan they really mean gift. Close friends expats are usually no problem, but Filipino, for serious amounts, never. Make that a strict rule, no matter how sincere they look or how sure you are they have the means to reimburse it.

Cute little ex-virgin who hops in my bed when I'm in Manila was online with me two days back, telling me that she's just started back in school after the break but was short of two text books.

Following Mattricks wise words about getting details I asked what the books were. Quick as a flash she replied Nole Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo which were Rizal's most famous books.

Great advice Freebie.

You can go one step further by actually buying the books for her (if you are in Manila) and sending them to her home address by a local courier (LBC is a good one with coverage door-to-door over most of the Philippines). Cost approx 100php.

It takes the WU out of the equation and removes the possibility that with the 800 php in hand she (or some family leech) might suddenly find that there is a bigger emergency right at that time and Noli and Fili have to wait.

I would place Davao and Cebu equal first, Manila well down the list, try north PI around San Fernando La Union/Luzon, I was there recently and I liked the area, sometimes a tad provincial (cant find the right word) but was relaxed. Have a good friend living in the area for many year and he is blissfully happy

For me Cebu is a great place, not a city IMHO but a large town, nice beaches, some nice palces to eat etc and I do like Cebuanas...... Davao is same, and would happily live there but can myself more in Cebu than Davao.....

But I am very happy to help the lady's education (both sexual :D and no sexual) when I can. Sometimes we lose sight of how easy we had it education-wise with good, free schooling in our home countries and when you are on the ground as RK and FF are, you realise how important education is to many pinays ..hence many will ask for help with school fees.

Issue is to find the genuine ones..and when you do then you will get many brownie points IMHO

And what not.

Thinking about it, once I had a girl who asked me money as she had busted her salary on something and was short of groceries. And baby milk powder. I calmly sent a message saying "PLDT online has this service to send sm shopping pre-paid cards, can I send 1000 Peso worth? "

And there was a deafening silence, followed by "never mind, my aunty just got me the milk. "

One thing. Filipinas are not so enterprising as some other people I have met. If it was a Thai girl or Viet girl, she would have cashed the 1000 peso into merchandise and sold them to her neighbours and made the money.

While the 1000 peso cards when ordering online cost more than the equilavent in US$, it sort of stops them from doing other things with the money

Bottom line. For me. I don't bother if it is small amount. As long as it stays as small amount. Considering I live in Singapore, where a mug of beer costs equivalent of 300 peso, sending 500 peso or 1000 peso never hurt me.

BTW, I am not a descendent of the Rockerfeller Family. Nor am I as rich as Bill Gates.

Not all girls are interested in studying. I had a GF from BAYBAY, LEYTE for 4 years. She went to the university there. I supported her through school. Initially she wanted to study to be a veterinarian but changed her mind to be a nurse. Initially she would send me her report cards or show it to me when I went and stayed stayed there in a Hotel but later when I asked she was evasive.
Sometimes what they say is not what they do. I gave up on the girl after four years of support. After I stopped my support she kept on begging me and told me that she will behave and will study and will always listen to my advice. But once I have no confidence in her I let her go.
My advice is if you want to support in studies make sure they follow your advice and give you transcripts of their scores. These girls are easily sidetracked from their goals.

Not to offend you RK, but I would not go to that extreme step of going to LBC. And what not.

I don't understand what you are saying.

I am not saying ANYTHING about sending money with LBC.

I am talking about buying 2 college books in Manila for a girl and then sending them to her in her Visayan province by LBC so she can have them for her study rather than sending her the money to buy them.

She is a bona fide student.

That's a sample of 1 Sammon. Of course there are scammers but don't put a negative spin on guys who are trying to help genuine students who DO want a better life.

Some of us are sharp enough to only give assistance to those who are bona fide students.
I support 4 kids (2 boys; 2 girls) to go to Night High School through a private foundation. They come from the poorest of the poor families. It costs me 3000 php PER YEAR in fees for each student (that's 12,000 php) to give 4 kids a new life.
The four of them are now in 4th year HS and are fantastic, dedicated students but desperately poor.
I meet them every year at re-enrolment and graduation, and their gratitude is extreme.
They will succeed. I plan to keep supporting them to college if they want.
It is possible to support deserving kids without any ulterior motive of seeking compensation

Re defining career choices, after taking classes in an area seems wise and a sign of growing up. Of course, if your deal was that your support was conditional on certain rules, and she understood those rules then she may have learned a hard lesson. One that Pinays (and many in the west) often fail to learn.

I can vouch for Rk's advice as helped out a lady recently in the same predicament...one you also know FF.

Books were there in a day and she was very happy..and RK will be rewarded and thanked trust me, next time he visits the city....:D

But I am very happy to help the lady's education (both sexual :D and no sexual) when I can. WR,

I am in complete agreement. I am currently putting my GF thru her masters program, and we put her daughter in a Montisori school. The girl is very smart and I hope this will give her a chance to really blossom. Without an education these children have almost NO chance to break the cycle of poverty. I met a nice lady in Havana a few weeks ago, and she was on school break from college. We spent a lot of time talking about education and opportunity and she detailed to me her plans to finish, when, and what to do later. I paid her the agreed upon fee and kept her number. We sms occasionally and about a month ago, she started school again. She never asked for more money, and was evasive when I asked how "work" was going. She said she wasn't working much because she had to study and go to class. I sent her money to buy books and a few groceries unprompted and will continue to do so on occasion as long as I have some idea she is really going to school. If it helps her get where she wants to go, or just adds a little to self esteem, then I feel good doing it, regardless of how we met.

I wouldn't bother to buy and go to LBC to send the books, if it is a smaller amount, I would rather just send the money let her sort it out. Or let God worry about what she is doing with the money. Whether red horse for her lover or really school books

If she was really in need of the books, they always have sources, like one of my girl friend in Palawan does, she has friends in Manila, who buy and send the books by LBC.

Sort of Like the USMC saying "KILL THEM ALL. LET GOD SORT THEM OUT." (maybe that didn't rhyme well.)

I notice that several guys here are supporting ladies by sending them some allowance from time to time, so I have a question.

When sending money through xoom or other, how do you keep your identiy hidden from the ladies?

A "dear" friend of mine is talking about returning to school, as she had to stop due to poor economy, and I was thinking of sending her a small contribution from time to time. However, she only knows me by my mongering name and I have no interest in giving out my real identity to her. She never asked for anything, just mentioning it time and again on her facebook profile, where I am the only non-pinoy among her friends (me having two FB profiles. One for family and one for pinays)

(My wife and I are already supporting a young lady in Lombok, Indonesia studying to become a nurse. However, this was an orphan we met while on vacation there a few years ago that had been supported through some aid program through high school/college. We even had to open a bank account for her to be able to send her funds. She will hopefully pass her exam 2011)

Curios me.

I am a member of several forum groups and over the years I have been able to gather and use some valuble information and have gained much knowledge that has helped me in my 3-year experience here in the Philippines. It's time for me to share my story and I hope it helps somebody.

My Girlfriend gave birth to a baby girl July, 2007. Of course I was happy and excited but had doubts on weather or not it was my child. I am Black American so the baby had some Characteristics including the curly(kinky) hair LOL. The baby did not favor me but mixed babies sometimes are like that.

A year later I learn my Girlfriend may have slept with others before pregnancy. Of course she denied this. I decided it was time to get a DNA Test. After checking here in the Philippines I found out the price was over P50,000 for a legal test and P30,000 for General FYI test, and you had to travel to Manila. That would cost easily another P15,000 for travel expenses. That was way out of my budget.

I decided to do a goggle search and I found a company in Manila selling a home kit for P15,000 which was allot less but in my mind still too expensive for the Philippines.

I also found another one in the USA which charges for $99USD plus express shipping for $60.00. Considering that it was cheaper, I contacted it however, the shipment got caught in customs and I never managed to retrieve it. I asked again the company to send me another kit and reship through regular mail but I never received it. I ended up spending more.

It was then that I contacted an Attorney from a referral who I heard has home DNA testing kits. Apparently, she was able to secure these test kits from a reputable company in the USA which offers Home DNA testing kits for a lot less. The lawyer was charging me for a total of $189USD and if I wanted to express ship back to the USA or their Australia office for the results, I will have to pay $20USD. The results would be made by email.

The kit which had my mouth swab was shipped to the company;s office in Australia. I was able to get results 10 days after receipt. Well as you all probably have guessed the Precious baby girl was not mine. Of course bothered and disturbed I was happy at least I found out. I guess she likes black men because the baby was a black mix.

After this has happened to me my attorney and I started doing research about Paternity fraud and DNA testing in the Philippines. There are no accredited labs in the Philippines and of course the cost is so much. My attorney contacted the company who originally did my test and became a reseller of DNA Testing kits in the Philippines so many won’t have to go thru what I went thru. After a few weeks of being in the market, it is amazing that most clients who have been requesting for test kits are not foreigners but Filipinos especially seamen or overseas workers.

I hope my story will help another person here in the Philippines and everywhere. My Attorney is also challenging Legislator and attempting to set a precedent with case law to allow the Home testing kits for legal testing if a chain of command is followed.

I don't know if I am allowed to give my Attorney name and number thru this site or if admin will allow me to post names or numbers but feel free to contact me thru PM and I will gladly give you her number.

This can be difficult. In the UAE noone ever asks for ID so easy to hide your name. In other countries that want ID you can be a tad screwed. if you usea credit card maybe it acceprts different names (sender and CC name). Here where I work now, I must show 2 IDs so no chance to have a different name so if i needed to send I would ask a friend to do and make an excuse.

IWhen sending money through xoom or other, how do you keep your identiy hidden from the ladies?

Curios me.Marconsita,

I send money to my GF from Australia using a company called Jalandoni & Co. Whilst I don't need to keep my identity private to her, when she gets her bank statement it shows payments by Antonio Jalandoni (not me). When I want to send pesos I ring their telephone line here in Sydney which quotes the daily exchange rate I then wait on the line and tell the operator I will be transfering $x into their account and they then transfer into the bank account of my GF. Service costs $9 each sending and exchange rate is very good (comparatively). Funds are available in her account within 2 hours. My GF banks with BDO and they are accredited by BDO and I have noticed they are accredited with other banks as well. J & Co have accounts with all the major banks here so their receipt of an EFT is immediate as I just transfer into an account here with the same bankers as I use. I used to use Western Union but the fees and exchange rate were bad. I was told about this service by some Filipino friends here, checked their bona fide with the BDO bank and have been happy since.

Be aware that J & Co did their checks on me as I had to send copies of ID's etc. This is a requirement of anti money laundering legislation here in Australia. They also needed name and address of my GF and obviously her bank details.

Hope this helps.

When sending money through xoom or other, how do you keep your identiy hidden from the ladies?I asked at my bank if I could send Western Union anonymously. They said no. I asked the teller who is a friendly guy how I could get round this.

He explained that if I write a name similar to my real name but with some spelling errors he would complete the transaction.

They take a copy of my ID for bank purposes, but for the transaction the girl receives money from someone whos name is nearly mine but not quite. Theres no google search on the name I give.

Been doing this for past 4 years now.

Once a different teller asked me why name is different, told her that Immigration had made a mistake on my ID and I would be correcting it.

I also always so them the previous WU form so they can see that transaction went through with the incorrect name.

I am sure Many of the seniors will definitely agree with me.

If you are broke, your girls lover will be a trike driver, if you are well to do, he will be driving a Jeepney, and if you are even well to do, he will be driving a Ford Explorer.

And. Let me quote this example: I met a filipina, in Singapore, and when she wanted to go somewhere I said 'lets take the bus. ' and guess what she said? "I never use the bus in Philippines. " and coming from a girl working as a maid here, that was rich.

Of course, if she didn't get the impression of me being rich, it would have been perfectly fine.

Does it rain all day or just in evening? It is a tropical climate. So it may rain in the morning, and then sunny in the afternoon and rain in the evening, or it could be incessant non-stop rain. And it may blow into a gale and that can kill a few days off your time. With all ferries and boats suspended, except the Ro-Ros off San Jose to Batangas.

Generally, such storms/typhoons are forecasted about a week ahead.

Do a check with the dive shop operators. They do have some decent info on Weather patterns. Check on Big Apple Dive. Drop them an email.

some friends pay more and some pay less.

i also pay for medical and ental expenses. so I do give them lots of compensation?

In the bars, what can they make?

If they hustle they can make more but they are stuck in a bar and no consistency?

Or he could legally obtain them in Singapore or Malaysia. There are pills for upto 5 week.

The answer is that it is illegal in the Phils but relatively common. Unfortunately because it is illegal there is huge scope for selling fake pills etc. At 3 wks it is fortunately much less risk than later on in the pregnancy. Some of the girls that I know have taken the pills and they say the legit ones cost 5000P but that may have been later in the pregnancy. Because you are a Reg member I dont think people can PM you.

Sometimes girls will throw the I'm pregnant line as a ruse but assuming that hes confident shes pregnant and that its his, it is really bad news. I think many guys (myself included) would not be happy with either marrying the girl, nor supporting her financially for 20 years nor having a child of mine brought up in grinding poverty, so its a lose lose lose situation unless he can ensure she does get it aborted.

Abortion is easily available in the clinics. Tell your friend to take her to a clinic and get the abortion. It is fast and easy. Although according to the catholic religion it is illegal, it is not illegal as far as the government is concerned.
It is not a good idea to feed her untested local witch medicine. cost of Abortion vary in different places. In Zamboanga my ex GF got it done by paying approx 8000 pesos with all medications. For what it is worth she sent me papers from the clinic. Proof that she is pregnant and the procedure and total cost. I even called them to ascertain that this girl is indeed their patient and assured me everything would be fine.

In the past 5 days I have had two DIA dates with lovely, sweet, pleasant, horny gals, each of whom ended up providing delightfully steamy sinuations in bed all night at my place. Interestingly, each of them also began sending rapid-fire texts the very next day begging me to lend them money (3000 p) for rent, and/or food.

Before replying to them, I re-read my Money Rules post, particularly Rule number 1, and decided that a revision was in order. Rule number 1 has therefore duly be changed to, 'I never lend or give money to a gal after just one date.' I then replied to each of them, with all due sympathy, that I could not help them at this time as I don't know them well-enough.

I fully-expect rule number 1 to go through further revisions in due course. Indeed, all my other money rules will no doubt undergo periodic revisions as well. I suppose it's the price one pays (literally!) for adopting a flexible approach to full engagement with the local fauna.

Hmmmmm, the mongering life does seem to be a work in progress!

Let's clarify this. Abortion IS illegal in the Phils.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_in_the_Philippines

What is behind this is obviously the MORAL (or maybe we should say immoral) teachings of the Catholic Church but the church doesn't make things legal or illegal, the Government and the judicial system does. Moreover it is illegal (and in theory an imprisonable offence) for anyone to even assist in abortions.

That said IN PRACTICE it is estimated that around 400,000 illegal abortions do take place in the Phils and I'm not sure if many or indeed anyone does get sent to prison for this. My understanding is that there are indeed unofficial clinics which can carry out mechanical abortions reasonably safely for those with money. I'm not sure how these clinics get around the legality question.

Again IN PRACTICE the majority of poor girls get illegal and rather dangerous abortions in the form of bottles of vodka or "heavy massage" or home brew medicine all of which are not at all safe and result in many hospitalisations through the complications.

For early stage pregnancies the best procedure is probably to take Cytotic pills - my understanding is that the girl needs to take 4 pills orally and 2 vaginally, but you may need to check this. These pills are not so easy to get hold of because of the legality issue and because they are relatively expensive and because this is the Philippines there are plenty of scammers trying to sell fake Cytotic. The consequences of all this can be horrendous. A gf of mine has a brain damaged/wheel chair bound younger brother as a consequence of her mum trying to use (probably fake) tablets for a late (5 months) abortion.

I'm sure even corruption is illegal in the Philippines, LOL.

Really gotta love this country... I often wonder why they even go through the effort of passing laws.

They may not know the proper dose to use, how far along their pregnancy is, and that dangerous heavy bleeding can result. "Women who self-induce may not know when to get help," says Dr. Emily Godfrey, family medicine professor at University of Illinois at Chicago. "They frequently delay their medical care and can suffer serious consequences, including death."

But when used in the first trimester, Cytotec, often referred to by its chemical name misoprostol, is less risky than other underground abortion methods. The drug works by loosening the cervix and causing the uterus to contract. Women who have taken Cytotec “are not necessarily completing [the abortion] on their own, but they're initiating the process," explains Godfrey, who also serves as a board member of the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals. "They often show up to emergency rooms, are told they are having a spontaneous miscarriage and are offered a completion."

have seen some girls do it in Singapore, as the law forbids maid from getting pregnant - and 9 out of 10 ended in hospital with heavy bleeding ..

As I say - if the guy is sure, and it is his child, and in the very unlikely scenario that the woman consents to the abortion - it would be safer to get Gynae help - talking about which, one of the gynae I worked with before said it is allowed by law.

But if the girl is worried, and the guy is really concerned, she can always fly out to Singapore and get it done legally, upto 10 weeks into pregnancy .. (it is just a day operation, and a couple of days of bed rest .. and costs about 600 S$)

I would strongly not suggest underground pills/vodka/beer+paracetamol - as most filipinas recommend as induced abortion- the chance of messing things up is more ...

PS: Never trust a girl's word for being 3 weeks into pregnancy - she maybe more into her pregnancy, but hiding it to make the 'dates' match ... my 2 cents .. seek proper medical care to appraise if she is 3 weeks or 3 months into pregnancy ..

I am a fully paid member so you can send me pvt msg. The baby is his and he confirmed it by taking her to the hospital. The time 3wks is right as he was here for few days and his condom broke once. This is turning into a nightmare of a holidayI still doubt it with a condom breaking, the baby got conceived.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to harass you with details as to if she was exclusively his. Or this and that.

The other alternative is a HK trip ( not sure if Manila Sing any easier than Manila HK ) but lots more daily flights HK and probably more pricing alternatives both for flights and for medical treatment in HK.

Its a very short procedure that lasts usually no more than 3 hours from entering the building, and if given the medical ok can fly back the next day.

The bar girl does NOT have a passport hence singapore is out of questions. My understanding is that in Singapore you can only get assistance if you have a working visa or PR anyway. Thanks for your help anyway.

Cytotech: Some write-up: Any abortion carries risk, but women who attempt the procedure by themselves with Cytotec are assuming considerable risks.

He has taken her to a doctor/gyno and it was done via one of HIS contacts. Dates match. Yes, I understand that there could have been few others around the time but he kept her for few days so it is very possible that it is his. Bottom line is he wants to do the right thing for him and the girl and why have it on your conscience if all it takes is few dollars.

Prostitution is illegal in the Philippines as well:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prostitution_in_the_Philippines

I'm sure even corruption is illegal in the Philippines, LOL.

Really gotta love this country... I often wonder why they even go through the effort of passing laws.
Even here in USA there are many laws in the books which are enforcable. But in reality I have not heard of anybody being prosecuted even when they end up in the hospital because of complications.
In a third world country they have more pressing issues rather than going after people who perform abortions.
I would strongly suggest for this girl to ALONE to the gynaecologist and ask for the abortion saying sad story about poor, bf left etc. I am sure she will be helped. If the foreigner guy goes with her there will e a ig problem least of which is the gyn saying abortion is illegal in Phi. He will charges exorbitant money, maybe made to sign papers saying he is the father etc.
What is at stake here is,
Is the girl really willing to have an abortion?
If she says no, there is nothing the guy can do.

Maybe the guy should tell this girl that he wants genetic test done to accept the baby as his.

Even bargirls tend to want the baby firstly because they want to experience motherhood, secondly what is better than a foreigner supporting her and her baby, thirdly maybe better future for her and the baby if the foreigner sponsors for immigration.
I know of one girl in AC whose son lives in Australia with his father. This girl tried living in there but did not like it or had a Phi bf who was waiting.

If those DIA girls were a little more tactful, they would not wait until the next day and ask you to your face!

I have a few girls and i give them about 10,000 pesos allowance per month.
I would hope you are not sending your girls a monthly allowance while you are absent!

Thanks for your help anyway. As a last resort, passport can be arranged in a couple of days LEGALLY - not any illegal means, unless she is digging in deeper with more excuses such as no birth certification, no NBI clearence .. etc. etc. etc ..

Anyway, to make the story short, Singapore has no restriction on foreigners getting abortion, though PRs and Citizens get is subsidized, so where a local/PR pays about 200S$, a foreigner (that includes those on Work Pass) pay upto or more than 800S$

Here is the silly part - to rub it in: Maids/Student pass holders can't be pregnant, as they are subject to every quarterly or half yearly medical+pregnancy test, but the afforementioned can get legal abortion done at the many private clinics legally !!!

As for Cytotech, while it is available as prescription drug, gynaes discourage the use, as more often, heavy bleeding or wrong counting - like the girl maybe 3 months into the pregnancy but claim to be 3 weeks - can lead to severe complication and even lead to virtually zero chance of conceiving again ..

I had one girl, who met me, spent time bar hopping, and buying LD for dancers. Grossed out about 5, 000 and honestly, I was flying off the next day and was left with just 2, 000 peso. And the girl shyly asks me if I can give her another 3, 000 on top of the 3, 000 I gave her, and when I tried reasoning that if she told that early, I would have slowed down on the bar bill, and would have stayed in the room and given her the 5000 I burnt in bars, it never entered her brain as to what I am telling her and she kept whining and crying.

Well, lesson: don't try to reason with most filipinas. Some are smart, but most have their brain waves twisted that reasoning is not in their to-do list.

Sometimes girls will throw the I'm pregnant line as a ruse but assuming that hes confident shes pregnant and that its his, it is really bad news. I think many guys (myself included) would not be happy with either marrying the girl, nor supporting her financially for 20 years nor having a child of mine brought up in grinding poverty, so its a lose lose lose situation unless he can ensure she does get it aborted.I once had that fantastic girl from LAC back when you could still find jewels in there. She had a perfect body with lovely boobs (a 9 on my scale) but most of all she had a splendid character. I remember the time when she suck me for the first time, while chatting and laughing with her friend on the phone, and whenever we were gong out, she would always huge me and be just absolutely delightful (in or out for that matter).

Now these kind of girls are usually gone within a blink to other foreigners. They may appear a very short time on the P2P scene then no more - and this one was no exception, except that her French boyfriend was far and away. One day he phoned her and she made the silent sign with her finger then went to speak with him in one of the corner of the room, saying at some stage "oh darling, my stomach hurt"... I asked her why would she say this and she explained to me that she made her bf believe that she was pregnant, though it wasn't true...

Of course the guy was madly in love with her, as anybody would, so I am not sure why she played this game, but I have seen other girls play the same, plus some others actually wanting a baby from their bf for the simple reason that they would get them more involved...

I am not sure what she or the family could actually do from a legal point of view when it comes to a foreigner, but fact is that the scenario is so common coming from Filipino lovers (make them pregnant then leave) that about 80% of the girls I met in LAC or otherwise were in the case, and many times it was actually the reason why they entered the 2P2 scene in the first place, as they now had to feed and take care of that baby all by themselves.

Thank you.Red Wine,

I played this course last April. Costs about 3,000 pesos including fees, clubs, shoes, and caddy. If you bring your own shoes and clubs knock off 1,000p. You must wear golf shoes. The course is well maintained and has a great view of the coral reef off Mactan and also Bohol (they say).

Its playable but like most mountain courses if you go off the fairway you are OB or your ball is lost. A couple of short par 4's ( in the 275 yard range) but overall fun to play. Greens were well kept. I'd give it a 7/10 overall rating.

Lady caddy was kind enough to lather my legs up with sunscreen and then gave my buddy her phone number. She was there for the taking. A hole in one of a different kind.

I'll be back there first week of August and will probably give it another spin.

This is the common mistake many foreigners make. When they meet a girl in Phi they think they met a normal who wish to be wined and dined and entertained. They forget the real deal is you are renting the girl for sex.
Ofcourse if you want to wine and dine they will not object because less time in bed. But remember that all through this time she is judging your spending haits to know if you are a big spender. Accordingly her demands will be jacked up. If you are dealing with a P4P girl( isn't everyody), spend the least amount of money when you are out and about with her. Take her to the food court instead of a restaurent for example. These girls are very poor and impressing them with food and bar hopping will not help. They will just go with you because that is what you want. They will be more happy to stay in your room, watch tv and gratefull for a generous tip.

People need to be clear as far as many Filipina's are concerned getting pregnant by a white foreign guy is a win win win situation precisely for the reason it is a lose lose lose for the foreigner. Either - the guy marries her - and i know or some horrendously unhappy and ill matched marriages that have happened in that way, or he sends her maintenance and she has a meal ticket for the rest of her life, or she is left with a half caste baby whih is the dream of many Filipinas even if she doeswnt get support she may consider she is not in a worse position than many of her contemporaries pregnant by Filipina bfs. I have had several long arguments with filipinas who have begged me to fuck them without a condom in the hope that they will get pregnant and even swear that they will not try and contact me should a baby be born. Don't fall for it.

Can someone tell me what the deal is, is it illegal or legal? My friend got a bar girl pregnant, yes I know he is moron but now she is 3wks now and he is trying to do the right thing and get pills to take care of it but so far no luck. This is his 3rd trip in Philippines and he doesn't know anyone. Yesterday in Boracay he paid 2000 peso to a massage girl that promised to get him the pills but it turned out the pills were bogus. He is on his way to manila now and scared shitless. He was going to go back to OZ to get the pills but is scared the girl may do a hodini act on him after consulting with her family. Please pm me if you can help.

I had a scare once about 2 years ago. When I checked on the web I found it was illegal in the Philippines, legal in Singapore but not for "visitors", and legal in Vietnam. I know someone else said it is legal in Singapore for a visiting Filipina so i was most likely wrong about that, but that was my impression at the time.

I did call the clinic in Vietnam and they were very helpful and said there was no problem. I can't remember the cost but it was reasonable.

Fortunately for me a few days later my girlfriend had her period.

Is this an accurate assessment of pros and cons about the Philippines?

http://www.*************.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7009

There is an element of truth in most of the cons that this guy presents, but it is clear it is written by someone on a bad day who has got very pissed off with the whole scene. The fundamental issue is that the Pros are to a large extent conditional on the Cons. If you fixed all the cons, Phils would be like Singapore and average incomes would be $35,000 a year rather than $3,500 a year. But guess what a 60 year old retiree living on $20,000 a year would no longer be able to attract a string of 20 year olds willing to attend to his every whim.

It is legal in Singapore at private clinics, though government clinics will report to the authorities, as a matter of rule.

Though, as a matter of truth, some filipinas are so driven to having children, they don't mind a fuck and fuck off situation, as a couple of Filipina nurses did in Singapore. They met dates, with the whole purpose of getting pregnant, and then ditched the guys. Now you know in Philippines 'name of father' doesn't equate to 'married' status, and with IVF being against the church ruling, they prefer to get naturally impregnated. I guess so.

Looks like a long list of cons but they're basically 4 or 5 cons stretched out in painstaken detail lol ...but he's kinda right with most of them. Of course you can argue against them for example you can't expect someone on a miniscule amount of pesos to be overly generous. Though I have experienced filipinos on pitiful incomes show great generosity towards me...

I would diagree with 'most' filipinos being rude and inconsiderate, maybe that's a manila or city thing, out in the provinces I would disagree.

I would also add to that list 'safety on the road'. Outside Manila in the provinces you do not need to wear a crash helmet, and what with the way 'pinos drive?! If all F1 drivers were filipino it'd be a hell of lot more exciting... nothing like driving head on into a truck before slipping back into lane again to overtake some farmer on a carabao...

The list is not only redundant, but contradictory in some of its statements as well.

As with most generalizations, there's some truth in the various items on the list, but many of these are semi-truths, and not what I've observed with any consistency. The whole discourse on "greed," for example, may be true when applied to individual Filipinos, but--again in my experience--is not a cultural truism here. I've been to very poor communities that most Westerners will never see, and been treated with generosity and kindness. I've had families willingly share with me all that they had, and I've seen people go out of their way to exhibit kindness.

While the comments about the general cluelessness of waiters and waitresses as well as sales people is true, it should have been put into context. The major reason that most low-level service people do a poor job is simply that there's no training and no job security. Most employers invest nothing in training employees, on the one hand, and most employees are given six-month employment contracts and have no expectation of a permanent job. Though this doesn't alleviate the frustration one feels at consistently poor service, it does make it understandable.

As to the "general stupidity" that runs as a consistent theme throughout the list, it's due not to genetic inferiority but to the generally wretched educational system and the overwhelming poverty that prevents many children from completing even the inadequate system that's offered to them.

Most Filipinos are trapped in a feudal-like, self-perpetuating socio-economic system that they cannot escape: locked into ignorance and poverty. It's consistently astounding to me that, given the general hopelessness of social and economic conditions, people can retain a general air of happiness and optimism.

GEWell said GE. Sadly everyone sits there right now with faith that Noy2 will solve all these problems.

The fact that hes from the elite and therefor has his own self interests in preserving the system (as was Gloria) means very little will change in next 6 years. If he truly interested in change Hacienda Luisita would have been reformed decades ago in keeping with the Land Reform act.

He will create some window dressing changes, but in reality, when a political system is set up to be corrupt (pork barrel for all elected officials) the system is self repeating and the means of escaping it are very low.

.........It's consistently astounding to me that, given the general hopelessness of social and economic conditions, people can retain a general air of happiness and optimism.
GE

It astounds me too GE.
However many filipinas laugh at everything whether it is funny or serious and often they are not laughing with happiness but just laughing.
It seems to be a form of defence for them - if in doubt, make a sound like laughter. They often have no idea WTF is going on so they laugh. You watch them and see.

Sometimes you see groups having genuine fun with lots of laughter but often the fun is very much "child-like" fun. I am still amazed that a group of teachers can spend an hour playing "blindman's buff" or that inane game from Wowowee called "Hep hep hooray" where they have to alternately touch their heads or knees.
Aussie kids wouldn't play those games past elementary school.

Is this an accurate assessment of pros and cons about the Philippines?...http://www.*************.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7009My fiance tells me that family and friends constantly pester her for handouts as well, and do not easily accept when she has nothing to give. I am sure the "give me" mentality isn't exclusively reserved for foreigners. She tells me that she has begun to adopt a 5'6 plan - which I am told has nothing to do with height but is a loan structure - 5 pesos out, 6 pesos back. She says in this way she is able to keep the begging down and even manage to turn a sweet profit from it.

If anybody cares, ask any Filipino about 5-6 and the answer will be "INDIAN MONEY LENDER". NO kidding.

But, overall, I am sure her business maybe running at a loss as most of the 'borrowers' have no intention of returning 'loans'.

Yep 5/6 is pretty widely known. Its the Phil's version of a payday loan.

Gentlemen,

For those of you who have not perfected your skills at giving your woman a g-spot orgasm, my advice is, bone up on it, try it, and be astounded.

I have been doing exactly this, aiming to achieve female ejaculation.

The g-spot orgasm just puts the woman into another world, extreme orgasmic experience.

And I have gotten a couple to the point of female ejaculation. They end up just beyond themselves. Never the same again.

They are instantly addicted, and are mine for ever.

Do it.
