Philippine friend of mine was going to travel to Hong Kong with the intent to stay there for few weeks. Her and lot of other people, including elderly and even guys, got offloaded and were not allowed to fly. She said the "immigration is now strict because of Duterte".

WTF?Long standing tradition of treating their poor like shit in their own country. Locals pay taxes on air fares that foreigners don't etc. Nothing new.

The way I see it, GE, is you have four choices in the forum. A) ignore the post; B) chuckle (if you think it's funny); C) respond in a non-offensive way if you have a relevant comment; or D) start a pissing contest. Since the thread was about the health benefits of being in a tropical environment I joked about it increasing schwantztooka size which I dunno maybe was a weak attempt at humor. But X "man" defaults to letter "the" because he has a (one-inch) hard-on for me. He inevitably loses the pissing contest because his shrimpie cannot even reach the urinal so he pisses on himself once again. Nevertheless, I am willing to let by-gones be by-gones and buy X a beer at that sports bar in AC on the corner up from Orchid Inn (I forget the name of it) on Sept 11 or !2 or 16 or 17 if X promises 1) not to [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) himself and 2) refrains from talking about the good ol days when he lettered in tiddly winks wearing his mama's padded bra as a jock strap because his family could not afford an actual jock strap. (I hope you were able to keep up with this lengthy post, X). BTW Asia Rain and Mr. E. , if you happen to be in AC on those dates I'd be happy to buy you a beer, too. Maybe then you will realize I am just a regular guy trying to have fun like everyone else on here. Cheers.

Both of you guys need to go to your rooms for so, e quiet time. Enough of the puerile taunts..

I responded to your penis humor with my own humor. It was kind of surprising that you immediately went into full attack, name calling mode.

It's bad enough you've resorted to name calling, and now you want to disparage my family? Why don't you take GE's advice, and apparently your own advice, and shut up.

As a 13 A visa holder and a foreigner I have to pay travel tax.

Foreigners who have been here for 12 months also must pay. See the regulation here: http://www.philippineconsulate.com.au/travel-tax.html.

I didn't know this because all the previous times that I have left the Philippines nothing was said at booking or check-in and I left without any problem (Thai Air, PAL and Korean Air).

Suddenly, last trip at Korean check-in I was told I had to pay travel tax. I argued and the official showed me the regulation.

I went off to the Travel Tax desk and paid my fee.

Just finished sorting out a booking to Australia soon and PAL informed me that travel tax would have to be added on to my costs.

So. After a period of not being fussed with foreigners, they are (all of a sudden) checking up on us too. The new BOI commissioner has his "new broom" out.

Hello folks.

I am in urgent need of some advice.

I am chatting up with this girl on one of the dating sites.

I wanted 2 girls, so asked her to bring he friend as well which she agreed.

Now the issue is that she claims she is 19 and her friend is 18. But her ID has expired.

Should I entertain her and her friend with expired ID in my room.

Are there any risks?

Both their ID have expired coincidently.

Please help.

Thanks.

G.Expired ID's are kind of the norm I assume they are school ID.

Still you are taking some risk. Have the security guy look at the ID's.

Spot on. Expired school ID it is.

I will check with the hotel concierge. The pictures are too hot to pass. She says she works for BS mobile.

Anyway. Will keep you all posted on the progress. I think I will take a chance if my hotel reception and security clear her.

Thanks a lot again.

G.You seem to be on the right track regarding someone "skilled" to check ID's. Still, even if security verify ID to be okay and it still proves that one of the girls was not of legal age, its all on you. Its you getting banged up abroad until court will hear your case (can take years). You can claim all that you like to the police "but the guard verified her ID and he told it was okay". This will have no saying at all if some hickups occur and one of the girls go sour on you. I live by the saying (gut feeling somewhat) "if it looks young it probably is TO young". Fake ID's are all over the place and it is unlikely an underpaid security guy / girl gives a shit. Not to get you to paranoid but playing in the somewhat young girlie segment can get you into loads of shit. I myself trust only passports if meeting up with young girls. Nothing else. Of course this will exclude quite a few young stunners as pinays in general don't obtain a passport no matter of what age they come in so just imagine how few 18/19 y old actually having the one trusted document. For the latter period of time I am thinking of accepting SSS ID's. I am not so picky when my gut feel tells me she is 22 or older. It is hard from only looks to establish age for some pinays and a 16 y old can look like 22 y and vica verca. ID is the way to go.

Story from when I learned my lesson: Was dealing with a stunner online claiming she was 18 y. I thought fine, lets meet. Just to be sure I made the cam 2 cam to get a better look at her and she proved still as beautiful as in her pics. We agreed to meet public outside my breeding place (Manila hotel). She arrived and I saw this slender, small, tiny girl walking out of the taxi (I agreed I pay the taxi upon her arrival). I quickly hold the driver back screening the girl up and down. She looked not more than 15 tops to be frank. This showed me how difficult it can be to get an impression of a girls age even through live cam broadcasts. I asked her to show me ID ad she told me she didn't have one. I asked her to be honest and tell me her real age (I was acting cool and did this in a very friendly tone). She replied she was only 17 and that she would turn 18 next year. I gave her 500 p for her return trip with the same taxi. Bye bye. Not likely anything wrong would have happened but lets say she from some reasons turned sour on me (she knew my place so easy task to track me down).

Story from after I learned my lesson: Met this girl telling me she was 18 y. I asked if she had a passport (which she had). I told her to bring that and bullshitted her into believing that was the only ID my hotel trusted (it was a Hi so hotel but still). We met public outside my place, I was asking if she brought the passport which she did. It was a nice session incl a few pops and all was preceding in a friendly manner. Upon her departure we were jibberishing and I asked to view her passport just I was curious to see the layout of a Phil passport. She gave it to me and I took a few pics from it. It showed me she was in fact 19 y. Then time went on and we had some skype sessions from time to time. She was a real stunner so I kept fairly in touch so I could have a go at it on another visit. Then she suddenly asks me (well I knew she was a student a a UNI in Makati) for approx 40 k php for a tuition fee she was changing from UNI and into a culinary study. I declined her requests (I never send money and only pay for service rendered but I do call it gifting) and from there things went sour. She got mad and accused me of fucking her despite she was only 17 y and she would alert the PNP. Then I told her "dear you remember I do have pics of your passport which states you were 19 y when we met?" Then she hanged up, blocked me and was never to be seen or heard from ever again (fine by me). She probably did this quite a few times to test for gullible victims but in all the commotion / desperation for tuition money (or whatever) forgot I took photos. I bet she was angry on herself for allowing me to view her passport but she would have learned now. I have seen her FB (got it from other sources) and she still looks young so she could very likely trick someone believing she is only 17 y so he pays up.

Good advice here from Vitaplex.

Those of us who live here and have been invited to be "ninongs" (or "sponsors / godfathers") at weddings here and there will know that it is common-place to put very heavy adult make-up on the flower girls or any of the other associated attendants no matter what age they are (5 yo. Upwards).

I have been gob-smacked on some occasions to see kids who are family members and who I know to be only 12 - 15 yo dressed up to the nines with full makeup and adult dresses who look nothing like the kids that I know and remember. They could fool anyone.

If you know what I am talking about you will agree that VP's statement that "if it looks young it probably is too young" is correct. There is severe risk anywhere in the world to be dabbling with girls close to the legal age, especially if you are 20 to 30 years older.

It's crazy to contemplate it.

G.ID Costs money. Most girls will not have any or at best school ID (expired if left school & working somewhere) or if you're lucky 'postal ID' (used to collect the all important Western Union from absentee guy's). None will have passports except Hi-so girls or bargirls who have been to SG, HK, TW, Malaysia etc. If her age is a big issue for you then don't go there, look for horny thirty somethings. Pctures mean nothing on dating sites, get them on cam to verify looks & language.

She probably did this quite a few times to test for gullible victims but in all the commotion / desperation for tuition money (or whatever)."Or whatever" may be the key words here. Some recent allusion to picking up students should (IMHO) be viewed with some skepticism. Scoring a nubile young student makes a great fantasy for an older foreigner, but Pinays for hire are clever enough to know that as well. If you were in her shoes and knew a few details about some local university from an acquaintance who had attended it, wouldn't you try to sell yourself as a university student? Savvy expats may know to ask the right questions to sniff the situation out, but most sex warriors don't know enough about the lay of the Philippine university landscape (no pun intended) to put the lie to the charade.

I once pulled a very attractive 22 year old out of LA Cafe who claimed to attend a fashion design program in a Makati university. Her mother had married a yank, lived in California, and sent remittances to her. But they weren't enough to cover her college costs. So she pulled tricks out of LAC to make up the difference. Or so she said. I later learned that I was one of at least four tricks she pulled from LAC that night. A few months later I saw her in a Trike Patrol video that had been made several months prior to my hookup with her. (There's some foundation for my decision always to wear condoms in these waters.) It's possible everything she told me was true, but taken all together, the circumstances strain the credibility of her account about being a student. I suspect there are numerous others like her. Just because many of these women are not well-educated doesn't mean they're stupid, incapable of putting on an act, and unable to learn from each other. They have a lot more time commitment to this profession than we do. Also, what passes for a "university" in the story of a p4 p Filipina may often be little more than a three to six month trade school. So much for the "student" fantasy.

I think Vitaplex and RK nailed the correct bottom line in this debated situation: a young Pinay with no ID or an expired one is not worth the risk, especially considering how many other readily available fish there are in the local seas.

Remember resolution fees are always the lowest at the lowest resolution levels. Do not escalate it.A few years ago, staying at Eurotel by Robinson's Malate, I had a wonderful pimpette, she seemed to have an endless supply of young cuties. She txt that she had this afternoon's fun, ready to go in Robinson's, second floor McDo. Upon entering and sitting with the two of them, the girl was attractive, young, and had: golden colored hair. Off we went across the street. The girl was nervous in the room, and chatty. Finally we got down to biz. She got her clothes off and I snapped a few pics, when suddenly she bolted off the bed, grabbed her clothes, and ran into the CR. She came out fully dressed and asked to leave. She was clearly too nervous to go on. I offered her half the agreed-upon amount. She said "Thank you" and I walked her to the street. I txt the pimpette that the girl could not consummate. I ran into the pimpette by accident, an hour later, as I was departing Robinson's grocery store in the mall. She asked what happened to the girl, and I told her. She asked how much I gave the girl and I told her. "But what about my commiss". She stopped. We were interrupted by an older lady, walking right towards us, wagging her finger at the pimpette, her words loud. People stopped to watch. The older gal chewed on the pimpette for a minute, wagging her finger, and occasionally looking at me. Finally I held my hand up, between her face and mine, which silenced her. I asked the pimpette what was happening. "This the mother of the girl. She angry to me. She did not know till now that I give the girl to foreigner. She want a consideration". Oh. To end this mess, I asked the mother: What consideration do you want? She stopped to think, put her hand in her pocket and pulled out several coins and then put them back. "Two hundred". Um, pesos? "Yes. Two hundred". Oh my! I pulled out a 500-note and handed it to her. Get your daughter some dinner with this. She smiled, as if the thing had resolved itself, and said: "Really? Salamat!" And with that, the mother grabbed the pimpette by the arm and dragged her towards the Starbucks. I turned heel and hoofed it out the nearby Adriatico entrance, turning right and phast-footing it out of there. 200 pesos!

A few hours later in the evening, passing G-Point, I saw the pimpette sitting in Jolibee. I walked in and *had* to ask what happened with the mother. "She make me give 500". Really. So the girl got half, the mother got 700, you don't get any commission, and the girl did not have to perform. Right? "Well, yes". Boy, we showed THEM!

Dodged a bullet for p200. In the words of DG8: Do *not* escalate!

I am not sure if it is this way in the Philippines, but in Thailand it is common for a girl to state her age (19) but really mean "I am 18 going on 19. " It is not necessarily a deception as much as it is a difference in culture, I believe. I have spoken to a few Filipinas who seem to have responded in the same way. Be careful!

Just because the gogo girl says she is 19, and Mamasan says she is 19, and her "ID" says she is 19, doesn't mean she is 19. Be VERY careful! Go for girls in the mid-upper 20's, they are better in bed anyway.

But how about offering a field report? Even us less-experienced and less Philippine-savvy sex warriors might benefit from some specifics about how you've done it. I think us sex warriors are unlikely to have the time or connections to usurp the particular inside channels with the girls you've been with, but it could be educational to see how it's done--and for us sex hounds there's also prurient value in the stories, no?

What subject matter did the girl want tutoring in? How did you help her? How did she tell you that she managed the two sides of her life? How did she describe hiding the SW activity from other students and from family? If you hookup with a De La Salle coed, for example, where and how would you meet her? Ditto from UP Diliman? I have seen what appeared to be student eating and coffee hangouts near some of these campuses, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out how I could approach one of the young ladies without embarrassing her badly in front of her friends. So, I'm asking a lot of details here, maybe too many, but a few specifics about what has worked for you could be helpful to others of us.

Fake I the cards are as common as street litter in the Philippines. As suggested by RK, a passport is the only one that's likely, if not necessarily, to be authentic. Go down to Colon in Cebu and observe the guys openly counterfeit every imaginable official government stamp. Never meet a girl in your room. Always in the lobby, or better yet, outside. If an [CodeWord902] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord902) girl has even been having a soft drink and watching TV in your room, you are putting yourself at risk.

So, I'm asking a lot of details here, maybe too many, but a few specifics about what has worked for you could be helpful to others of us.I have had the same experiences as Amavida. I help them with class work (some it is truly very basic. Refer to many FRs on the standard of Philippine education especially HRM) regardless of subject. Many have no feel for numbers apart from the size of your dick LOL so any doing anything that requires basic (and I mean basic) accounts etc is a favorite (I did a quick trial balance for a cutie 2 days ago took 5 minutes and was all laid out in her school books but she could not understand the book either). Also helped in preparing "reactions" to various articles etc. This is cutie has to comment on and show some intelligence around a subject such as climate change.

The girls try to avoid being seen in places where there friends play so coming to your side of town / your hotel is no issues for them. Once I get to know them I soon find out which of her friends also paly away and that has benefits for me.

I sit around my office (a coffee shop) and watch, smile as many are looking also for some fee assistance. If a uni cutie is walking around Ayala in Cebu for example in heels greater than 1-2" for sure she is on the look out as heels higher than 1" (mainly) are banned in schools. You don't need to do too much but being nice, looking nice (reasonably well groomed), smelling good etc are helpful (although some I have seen think this is not important!

You need to be flexible and adaptable as you are right they don't want to be seen chasing foreigners in front of friends some of whom are very conservative and all love chismis (gossip). But with time you can spot the ones looking and get a sixth sense IMHO of those keen. Then you need to find a way to get them away from the 'pack'.

Always meet the girls in coffee shops or my hotel. If the latter it is fairly clear IMHO what will happen (tell them to bring a bikini for example), Meeting places is never an issue and I go with the flow as she will tell me where she prefers (I have one who always meets me in the hotel-straight to room- as lots of friends in the Ayala area, so sometimes I take her to Mactan which is a pain for traffic but worth the effort LOL).

So many ways to skin the same cat yet so little time is the problem fro many guys.

Time is money holds true. We can either spend big money and get fast, hot service, or we can spend long periods of preparation and pursuit, or anywhere along that continuum. Some of the most promiscuous members get to know our bedmates a bit, getting introduced to more bedmates. In time (which most visitors lack), referrals blossom into an endless and reliable supply. I most like the method of just meeting as many ordinary beautiful women as possible in daily life, discretely but clearly communicate what I'd like to do with her, keep friendly communication, and over time the odds just work out again to endless (but less predictable) enjoyment. Purely for self-amusement I could try guessing which forum members use which method, but I'll bet all long-termers use one or both of them. Short-term visits are a completely different situation. Success to all.

I tried to offer skepticism, not accusations. I'm sorry if I missed the mark and you thought it was personal.

So, I'm asking a lot of details here, maybe too many, but a few specifics about what has worked for you could be helpful to others of us.SP apologises if I misunderstood your intent. It's all part of the rough & tumble of forum discussions. I post erratically because I'm shooting from the hip from my phone whilst busy. Let's take it back to basics: it's a poor country & overpopulated. There's lots of girls wanting to exchange fun for peso's. These range from dirt poor province girls through to students & up to working girls. Higher society & professional women engage foreigners for non monetary reasons.

Q) Don't these pretty girls have handsome boyfriends?

A) Yes they do. They may be socially constrained in what they can do with these BF's & in any event the boys often have no manners & no money.

Q) Don't these girls prefer their own age?

A) Yes they do but see previous & Filipinos are very gregarious in any event. When we step off the plane we all have great 'pesonality' whether we are gwapo or not.

Q) Don't people notice older men with younger women?

A) Of course they do. [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901) / sugar daddy couples are common in Asia. Often a girl will be congratulated rather than castigated. Provided decorum is observed. The higher up the socio economic scale you go the more choosy the woman.

Q) Is there a student scene & can I get into it. If so how.

A) Yes. Yes. Students like foreigner BF's who visit intermittently so long as the guy is reliable in helping with tuition etc. Those of us here long term find supporting students mutually beneficial. These girls are classier than farm girls & more sexually adventurous. Most importantly. They not chasing marriage. Find students on dating sites / social media & instant messaging apps.

Sorry don't have time for more right now. Keep asking questions.

Seems more appropriate here, as opposed to the AC thread.

However the relationship starts, that is how it has to continue. So if you choose to set the tone with money then you will have to keep the money coming. I think you are very correct. While you yourself don't plan to let your relationship become money-based, that is not the norm. Almost all marriages are money-dependant, with one partner supplying the bread (or alternately, much more of the bread), and that would normally be the male. In few marriages around the world does either of the following occur:

1) both parties supply the bread approximately equally, or.

2) the female supplies most of the bread.

While both parties work in many marriages, the man will make the lion's share of the money (for a variety or reasons, which is not important for this discussion). Women don't typically marry a man that she thinks can't take care of her financially (unless her parents are making the decision, and when they make the decision, they also don't choose a mate for their daughter who can't take care of her). Most relationships start out as infatuation, progress to love, then marriage. Your concept that a relationship should continue in the same way it starts is egalitarian, but not the way relationships go (they grow, move in different directions, and change). Nothing makes that point like the pinoy cultural commitment to love-marriage-family-old-age. At some point in there, *somebody* must financially take care of the other person (s).

Marriage laws require financial commitment, even after a marriage ends. As most marriage relationships are defined by a man providing for a woman (and possibly offspring), and the woman being societally charged with being his only sexual partner, I ask again: How is that not prostitution? I realize this might be an uncomfortable topic.

I wasn't sure if this was reasonable enough to have a great time.Is that $200 for everything (excluding travel to / from phils), food / drink, lodging, girls (which can also include the girl's food / drink), and possibly girl's travel to you?

Also, where will you be staying -- Manila, Cebu, AC, province (makes a difference in costs of foods, hotel, girls)? What kind of lodging do you prefer -- luxury ($150+), average ($80-ish), lowbrow / pennsione ($30-ish)? If you want luxury lodging, after food you will have nothing to spend on girls. Are you a big drinker (booze ads up in bars)?

I will be staying in AC. I would prefer average accommodations. The 200 USD daily I theorized was for everything including girls. I figured I might be way off.

I just got out of the service so I'm looking to have a really great time especially with food and girls. I am a very light drinker, a beer here or there (maybe 1-2 a day) and that's it.

I can increase my budget. How high do you suggest? Are the lower ends accommodations worth the savings? Is 10 days too long for a first time trip? I will be traveling from the East Coast USA. I'm looking to indulge in the girls.

Thanks again for the help.

Well I was going to send you a PM but I think you need to sign up $20/ year to get them. Well worth it. Since you are fresh out of service I'll lend a helping hand here. $200/ day should be enough all inclusive except airfare of course. Philippine Airlines has RT direct flights for around $1100 from LA and San Francisco, I don't know about back east. The earlier you book the more you save. Three-star hotels run about $50/ night maybe a little more. Again, book ahead of time through agoda dot com or comparable and you can save a little. I stay at Orchid Inn which is near the action and has a pool and the food is ok. Cute waitresses. For fun $60 - 90 per all night guest (less for short time) but Your Mileage (and costs) Might Vary. Of course there are unlimited variations but these are basic guestimates. That leaves you around $50 for food and beer --plenty for three squares a day with a cutie on your arm. Ten days is relatively long in AC so I'd recommend a side trip to Subic (I stay at Treasure Island) or if you find one you like take her to 100 Islands or Baguio. Hit the websites (Date in Asia, Filipino Cupid, for example) to get some digits and dates lined up but realize there is a high drop-out / no-show rate (you have to confirm everything at least three times with these girls until you get to know them). I'm sure other veteran posters will have recommendations. Good luck and let us know how you did. Of course go back and read the forum for an hour or more to see others' perspectives.

If you can afford to increase your budget perhaps start with buying a membership. Blow $20.00 because a lot of info is shared via PM. Membership does have it's privileges. I am assuming you are also a Canuck. As a vet, of I am happy to try to help, Join the site and shoot me a PM. You may as well bring home some interesting pictures to convince people you went there for the history and sightseeing.

I have never been to Angeles, but everything I have read here suggests that ten days there is too long. Three or four days perhaps. Then get out and try other cities so you will see what the Philippines is all about. You won't find that in Angeles. On my first trip I was there for 21 days and it was almost too short, but in hindsight about the right time. Cebu is my place to go. It is central, and accessible to many other places. It has lots of historic places within the city. It is a cab ride to many other places such as beaches. Take in the history as the Philippines has lots of historic sites. Flights from Cebu to other cities in the south is inexpensive. From my point of view it is a great place and stinky and congested like Manila. Do some reading on the Cebu thread.

If you are looking for memorable food the Philippines is not the place to go.

I have never been into the P4 P scene. I am a Date in Asia Guy. About a month before you go join DIA. Chat with the ladies on DIA and you will only sleep alone when you chose to do so. Keep in mind that they may not be P4 P, but you will pay one way or the other be it gifts, clothing, trips, or whatever. Plus a little something in their purse when you are done with them. There is a DIA thread at the bottom of the page.

I agree with DCups on this. Figure your airfare separate. On $200/ day you should do fine in AC and Subic. His hotel recommendations are good. You can always stay somewhere nicer, but that will blow your budget. Plan 3 nights in AC + 3 nights in Subic + 3 nights in AC and your last night in Manila. Bring a little spare cash or a credit card. LOL.

For a 1st visit I recommend that you spend most, if not all of your recreational time with the bar girls and get to know what they are like. They are just awaiting to make your acquaintance and welcome you with open arms. RTFF. Take note of which bars receive the most positive reviews here. Understand the EWR (barfine) protocols and relative prices. Then go with the flow as soon as you arrive. Its so easy. On subsequent trips, as you learn the ropes, you can try lining up a few girls from the internet sites if you want to.

I remember my first visit to the PI. I flew directly into Clark from Macau. I spent 5 nights in AC, 5 nights in Makati, 5 nights in Cebu City, 4 nights in Palawan on a great beach, and 4 nights in Malate. I met great girls everywhere except on Palawan. I liked Makati and AC best for the girls. I also really liked Sabang, Palawan for its beautiful beach and as a great place to just kick back and do absolutely nothing. On my 2nd visit I went back to AC, Makati, Palawan and checked out Subic. I liked the relaxed vibe in Subic. There are not as many bars in Barrio Barretto (Subic) as in AC, but more than enough to quench your thirst. Very nice girls. Try to stay as long as you can. 14 days is better than 10. 18 days is better than 14. You are going to like the girls. I envy you your 1st visit. You are going to have one of the greatest times of your life.

Is the way to go. Assuming, as a vet, you can spill some dough. Girls from datingsites, facebook, bargirls or freelancers will be all over you. 200 $$ might be to tight and you will be thinking to much obtaining this certain budget. 3-400 $$ gives you the freedom to relax. Don't know your finances and economic powers of course.

You are in for a good treat. Bring sex tools, some condoms (if you fancy those) and just enjoy. I fancy Makati the most. Well I never been to AC so I will withdraw from debating AC good or not. I don't like the bar environments (girl bars). I do sidekicks with regular Phil ladies (students-/ air hosts-, waitresses-, call center-/ mall girls) to a great extent. I do enjoy the illusion from the girls "they like me" attitude. Its all about the moneys.

The round trip airfare runs $550 to $630 (looking in September through Google air search). $1100 ????He said PAL and they are usually expensive, but are the only direct (non-stop) airline from the US west coast to Manila or Cebu. Having said that, next month PAL is running $854 for many dates, and even $750 in October. But I would agree that $1100 is kind of mid-point for PAL as I've had to hand over $1550 for MiL to use them last year (2 months in advance). This time it was either $1450 or another airline and layover. Latter.

I recently booked a United round trip to Manila from South Florida for $900 and small change. Historically this is a very good round trip price from South East Coast USA. There are two stops: Houston and Narita. I jumped on the rate as soon as I saw it. The flight gets into Manila at 9:30 pm so there is still plenty of time for my two favorite girls to meet me at my hotel and welcome me back. I can't wait!

Thanks again for the help.Greetings bro, firstly thanks for your service to your country, I greatly appreciate our military.

Now about your first trip. I think most guys visiting the PI will spend a week in AC tops because it is a one trick town. Not much to do except hit the bars and have fun w / the innocent simple minded ladies working the bars.

It is elementary mongering as easy as hitting water jumping out of a boat. There are 2 areas of interest for the monger, glitzy Fields Ave and then the more laid back Perimeter Rd w / a group of bars here and another group there. These two areas are about a mile apart so easy to pop back and forth, w / Fields Ave being a little more pricey, than the Perimeter Rd bars which start opening at noon. Price differences are 1500 p to 2000 p for BF on Perimeter and 2500 to 3000 p on Fields Ave. In general the Fields Ave scene has more bars, more women, more lookers, more excitement.

My method of operation in AC (this Sept will be my 10th visit) is to go hunt the Perimeter bars starting around 1 pm and pop into as many as it takes to find my afternoon honey. Then we have a few drinks here and there or I take her back to my hotel Pacific Breeze ($40 per night) buy a $4 bathing suit and enjoy the rest of the afternoon in the PB pool. After that the main event and then she's on her way and I take a nap, eventually dinner and then around 8 pm I take a very short walk to Fields Ave and start the night game.

The Fields bars are a lot more fun than the Perimeter bars (for some) and have elaborate dancing shows w / 50/60 ladies doing choreographed dance routines that they work on and entertain the monger with. It is great fun to be in the audience and watch the humanity on stage and then BOOM! You see a pretty little thing and you motioned to her that you want her to sit w / you. Or you ask the waitress to go get her and then she's sitting w / you up close. So now the fun has doubled because a lot is happening and the potentials also multiply. These bars will want you to buy a lady drink as soon as she sits down. I politely request that the lady does not order a double LD and orders a normal LD. Most of these women have no problem when I do that.

After all, the woman just sat down and you really don't even know what will come out of her mouth. Maybe she will not bar fine for any number of reasons, the most common excuse is, "I'm on the men" meaning menstruation which is pretty much the end of the line. When they say that it's time to move on. Some guys ask the bar girl if she has the men before buying an LD, but your giving her an out before she knows anything about you. That's why I usually ask her if she'll bar fine (or leave the bar w / me) after I buy a normal LD. Most bars in mongering zones are aggressive when it comes to selling drinks so be on guard.

Hotels? My preference is to be close to Fields Ave so I stay at Pacific Breeze. It is a bit run down but they are super friendly, the restaurant is very good and the pool is even better. Their pool is where I have some of my best memories. Just floating around w / my Perimeter lady, her legs around me and my arms around her, face to face. Just water dancing in circles forever and ever smiling and happy. It's pretty special and one of the reasons AC is my favorite place on earth. For others it's something different, for me it's the magic in the pool and the the great sex afterwards. The hotel Score Birds in close by and newer w / a beauty contest every Saturday and lower prices I think. There should be some decent maps of the Fields Ave / Perimeter bar layout so you know where your hotel will be in relation. In between these 2 areas is mid Fields and there are a few good bars there as well. These bars, Brass Knob and Ponytails etc use to be dumps and I never went in except once and that was enough but on my last trip in April of this year I went in and was surprised to see these bars had great line ups and nice comfortable interiors. So if you stay mid Fields definitely check those out.

So that is AC in a nutshell. I'll be there in a month or so and had so much fun the last time that I will be staying for 10 days which is a long long time for dirty little AC. The easy going women make up for any short coming the town itself has. If your budget is $200 you will be living large. You don't sound like a guy who will need to spend that much per day and have a fantastic time.

In Manila you will need every bit of the $200 per day. Makati is where a lot of mongers end up staying because it is clean and safe. The Makati scene is centered around Burgos St and Burgos St is a sight to see when things get rolling at night. The dancers here are more sophisticated and smart. They dress better (in actual dresses) and know how to take care of themselves. In AC the women are like country bumpkins but not so in the big city. Many Burgos St bars have early bird discounts on their drinks and bar fine charges. So a top bar like Bottoms w / a bar fine of 3600 p will offer a 2600 p bar fine before 7 pm, same w / other bars scattered around Burgos St. Also the street floods w / free lancers so if you want to avoid the bar fine cost there is plenty to choose from right there on the street. Like I said before, it is great fun to sit at an open cafe and watch the Burgos St Zoo. Again, this is elementary mongering but the cost are more than double AC prices. OTOH the visual quality of the hookers in Makati are also double that of their AC counterparts. Example, Kojax Bar charges 3600 bar fine and the dancer will want 3000 p usually for short time. This price is very high and probably most mongers will not pay those prices. On my last trip I asked the mamasan there (Amy) for a discount BF and she gave me a 2900 p BF of which I did take a lady out. If you have a little charm and time you can then arrange side dates w / the dancer thus no BF cost. So there are 2 worlds on Burgos street, maybe 3 w / the lower end bars such as Rogues etc.

A hotel very close to Burgos (no pool) is the Red Planet Hotel and the price is under $40 I think. I usually stay at St Giles which is too costly but has a pool. Oh, in the big city the afternoon pool time and $4 bathing suits are not readily available if you only work the bars as I generally do.

Closing it out if I were you I would spend 6/7 days in AC and then a couple of days in Makati. Taxis are cheap and there are many other options in Manila, the Edsa Complex, LA Cafe, etc.

I hope this additional info helps along w / all the other good advice. Maybe someone can post a good map of the bar layout.

The first is a Burgos dancer. The other is a sweet AC dancer.

Thanks again for the help.Your situation sounds familiar to me from some years ago. Many on this board have given spot-on advice for on the ground in AC or Makati. I'm also no drinker. If you're bored during the non-peak show hours, I very much recommend inviting girls you find online close to your location. Send 100 messages that say "Hi, I'm visiting now from wherever my first time in the Philippines. May I text you? What's your cell number?" When (not if) they ask you what you're looking for, you can say "I'm only here for a visit. I'm looking for a fun, open-minded girl for companionship while I'm here. " Out of 100, I'm sure you'll get 20+ willing to meet you as soon as they're free. Another 50 or so will try to get you into a relationship. Your life, your rules. Insist on verifying age and gender. PM me any time for specific advice about Metro Manila. I'm a novice in AC.

You didn't say which east coast city you are flying out from. Nor your age, food preferences, hobbies and whether you are an active person or more laid beck.

United Airlines have some pretty decent prices out of New Jersey and the Houston hub. I didn't check other cities.

Hotel prices are way down. I use tripadvisor.com for comparison rates. Many decent hotels with pools in the $60 range.

As for food, there are many decent restaurants at decent prices. I have found the restaurant prices are about half the USA prices for comparable meals. Budget $25-30 a day for good meals. Of course you can eat for less.

As for girls I spend $50 to $100 a day. Some days I get one girl and other days I double up. About every 2-3 days I take a day off to recoup. I primary get girls from the bars or referrals from bar girls. I suggest you as a newbie to stick to bar girls and not try your luck on FL until you learn the lay of the land.

Also not mentioned here is getting legit massages. The rates vary starting at $6 per hour. In room service is usually around $9 per hour. I prefer a massage service associated with the hotel for a good massage. Nothing like having a 2 hour massage in the room between breaks with your BG lying next to you. FYI, I have never had a good massage from the massage girls, soliciting out in the street. Also the massage shops will do outcall to hotels.

Enjoy your self and possibly up your budget to enjoy more if you like. YOLO.

I posted prices in US dollars for easier newbie calculations and you stated your budget in US dollars.

P.S. I have found AC to be addictive with the poon, massages and even with manicures and pedicures.

Keep in mind that they may not be P4 P, but you will pay one way or the other be it gifts, clothing, trips, or whatever. Plus a little something in their purse when you are done with them. That is exactly P4P! You can call it a date if you want but buying a girl clothes, gifts and trips and then putting something extra in their purse is P4P plain and simple.

I can increase my budget. How high do you suggest? Are the lower ends accommodations worth the savings? Is 10 days too long for a first time trip? I will be traveling from the East Coast USA. I'm looking to indulge in the girls.

Thanks again for the help. You are getting a lot of advice on hotels from others as well as advice from a couple of guys to stick with the bar girls on your first trip which also seems reasonable. So I will try to help you clarify what it is you are looking for in this trip and that will help determine your budget.

What do you mean by "have a really great time especially with foods and girls" this is the key question for your budget and the location.

Examples for AC, I've found Manila to be more expensive and Subic less so.

If you are happy with having one girl all night and only one girl and you go low key on the lady drinks then 2500-3000 pesos for bar fine + 200-250 for a lady drink. Add in your hotel and meals and you will definitely be under your $200 budget.

Same above scenario but you want to "party" with the girl you took and you start bar hopping, taking her to the disco then the drinks will start to add up but still under your budget.

Or this is not enough? You want a massage with a handjob at lunch, a blowjob around dinner and two ladies overnight in your jacuzzi? Then the costs start adding up.

So you still need to decide what will constitute a really great time for you. Then we can pin down a closer number for your budget and more specific recs but if I was planning a first trip I would aim a little higher than just a 10 day trip to AC. The amount of $ and time for airfare need to be factored in. I would suggest a 3 week trip at least and go spend a week in Thailand (especially as you said food is a priority for you) a week in PI and a stop in Cambodia to see Angkor. You owe yourself a nice trip.

Question from a friend who is in Phil now: he was with a working girl one night. He said she looks of legal age. They have sex. They stay together for 3 days. After 3 days he wants to say bye bye and move on. She mentions that she is only 17. He is now shitting himself and worried. He emails me and says what should he do? I said not get so drunk and check ID (if looks young prob is). He says yeah great help now. I ask him is she asking for money or saying she will tell anybody. He says not at this stage. She showed him her ID. He said it was from some school or something.

Question: should I tell him get the hell out of there? Wait and see what happens? Offer money? He says he has paid hotel for 2 weeks and doesn't want to leave unless absolutely necessary. Under what conditions or circumstances should he leave or stay? What should I advise him?? He is shit scared as is his first time in philippines and has heard scary stories.

Ask him to get out.

And not to visit that country again.

And forget the hotel booking for two weeks and anything else. Just get the hell out of there as quickly and as quietly as possible.

Unless this friend fancies fish head soup in a third world prison for the rest of his life.

If he is worried about his hotel booking I am sure he doesn't understand what shit he could be in?? In general he has no rights in Phils and being banged up there I guess could be interesting. I am sure you get the idea what you should tell your friend to do.

Is she an experienced working girl? If so, she may not be after anything other than normal compensation. But it doesn't mean someone else that finds out isn't in for a payday.

By now any advice would be worthless if he hasn't left by now.

Hopefully a large enough hotel with more than one entrance.

Not enough info. Where is he (city)? Where is the girl from? Nearby?

The remainder of his hotel payment will be the least of his worries. He is in Subic. He doesn't know where girl is from but suspects she is a local. He already is in Angeles hoping to hide amongst the larger population. I told him not to risk it and get further away or come home ASAP. He met this girl at a bar in Subic. Prob a FL. Since leaving Subic he has no contact with her. He registered at Angeles hotel under a false name and is keeping a low profile. He has calmed down abit. He is thinking about going back to manila to hide more. I have seen the replies from many posters and they mostly say come home. What chance is there of "them" hunting him down now that he has moved to Angeles or even manila? I know the safest option is to tell him come home but seems like a drastic move when (I'm not sure about this) I would think this thing happens quite regularly over there? One poster said never go back. Is that because you think he's an idiot or because in the future there might be further repercussions? Thanks from him and me for your counsel.

If I were in that position, I would indeed leave / flee the country immediately and never go back. Even if the odds are one in a thousand, it's not worth it. There are plenty of other countries.

That being said, I think that the worse is over for this guy. If he did not get the feeling that girl was angry with him then that is all the more reassuring. He is in Angeles under an alias with a thousand other guys and hundreds of hotels. Whoever might be interested in tracking him would have unsurpassed ambition. I am cynical here but I don't think that any law enforcement would focus on this unless they saw an easy way to shake him down for money. He will sweat it when he goes through immigration on departure but I think he will be OK.

If the girl is skilled or she tells someone more skilled than her she can easy get ideas for a bigger pay down. If he lived under his real name in Subic tracking him down and put out a hold of departure (flagged down in immigration) towards him is easy. Girl need only to report him. It doesn't matter if stays in AC, Cebu or Manila as the computer system will stop him when departure so authorities can just wait and not actively search for him. That is basically why some of us advocated the quick departure out of the country so, again as in a worst case scenario, computer systems wouldn't be updated. I enjoy the Phils very much and I operate pretty much under the radar in most cases being a nice bloke and everything and hopefully I don't raise anyone's eyebrows. If I knew I did something wrong (volunteer or not, doesn't matter in Phils, you have no rights here) I would just do a "run Forest, run". But no one can help him now if he still is in Phils and things starts to downhill.

At this point he is out of there and they would have to find him. Highly unlikely they (who ever is they) find him. Hope he is smart enough if he had a Philippines cell sim that he would change it by now.

I would actually be hiding between those sweet AC Pinays legs all day long. Enjoy his time and double up on the bar girls. Just make sure the BG looks over 20 yo and their ID proves it.

The worst seems to be over. Hiding in AC or Manila is all the same. Between the legs of pinays is an even better suggestion!! Getting out of the country is still the best suggestion IMHO. Nothing is more valuable than your life and freedom.

That said, if you ain't caught with your pants down you can safely deny you ever took 'them off. Your word against a local might still be a tough one, but its better than being caught in the room with the girl. Still a few questions -.

1. In Subic did he register with his real name and passport? That could leave a trail.

2. Did the girl register at the hotel reception with her ID? I am thinking she did not, else the age issue would have been discovered.

3. Did the hotel in Subic have CCTV cameras? I would worry less about that if its more than a few days old. There needs to be serious motivation to pursue that route. If if is not going to be easy money, then probably the local barangay police will not pursue it. Still no way of saying if there is an APB out on the guy.

I hope all newbies read this chain of posts and take some concrete steps to ensure their personal safety when they visit Philippines to partake in our hobby.

Just a question. If you can obtain counterfeit ID cards in the Philippines or if sisters swap ID cards etc how can you be sure that this age thing doesn't happen again. If you use the adage "if she looks too young she probably is" then that will work but is there a way of telling genuine ID from fake?

Or is hotel security a good way of vetting deceivers??

What do you do? Appreciate your wisdom.

There are a dozen groups who will take up her case, however silly it may be.

And in Philippines legal system, a dozen parties can file cases on behalf of one victim.

And, if you live in certain parts of Luzon, the local tabloids actually have lawyers offering free service for women abused by natives and foreigners.

If it was me, I would fly to any nearby country and watch, than being presented in TV as suspect caught and a few death threats issued.

Nope, the locals don't apologize or pay compensation if the case turned out to be a scam. And you can't go back to clear your name and get your name off the immigration black list even if the case was dismissed.

Clearing your name is another separate costly process in Philippines.

P.S, having met a girl in a pick up bar is no excuse for dishonoring decent and homely Filipina as pros (pun intended.) enough foreigners found that the hard way. M.

What do you do? Appreciate your wisdom.I agree with you thanking the seniors as would done that any given days myself. I can ensure you though I have experience (sadly) from the matter discussed here so in this case don't just look at the numbers of post. It was nothing to do with drugs or minors but still a girl complained about something. If its quite and no more contact it doesn't mean shit. I didn't hear anything before police showed up at my hotel. IE I wasn't really aware of I was in deep shit so because of that I didn't flee and felt safe. [Non-English text deleted by Admin] Know in my case it was just for the girl verifying to police I stayed at this certain hotel. Then police just go there, obtain his personal, most likely, passport info. Then they can easily put out a penal and a hold of departure warrant for him at immigration. Some seniors talk like it would matter what you will say to police (after immigration hands him to the NBI). You can deny whatever you like but the local word, especially from a girl pushed forward by the help of IJM / NGO good doers, counts four five times more than ours. And before anyone gives a shit listening to his side of the story it can be weeks, months even years before e are moved forward. Don't take it for granted he can pay his way out of it anymore as the new ruler of Phils also have directed some efforts to get rid of corruption as well. He better needs a lawyer by then. I don't say this just because you didn't give a shit me not being senior member and I need to be right. I can trust you I have more experience than some of the seniors (some also learned the hard way). No need to listen to experience as your friend obviously didn't.

Then I take the ID as a not senior member as well. I trust only passports and SSS ID's. Others than that the gut feel will go a long way. If he knows the hotel staff and its a Hi so hotel I trust them more evaluating a girls ID than a lo so one. But a student ID or swap between girls I have tested for fun even at my Hi so hide out and it didn't raise any alerts. She did have a fake one ID in first place and even swapped it with her sister. So you do the math what to trust. Passports and Sss ID is the answer in my case. Because faking those two will cost heaps of moneys in today's fashion and simply only top of the notch criminals would have the resources to do so not the average pinay we know. It will leave someone out but still a big pond to fish from.

It doesn't matter if your friend had sex with her or not. Just being in a room with a girl not 18, without her parents, is a crime in the Philippines. Same punishment.

Hotel registration is not an effective way to screen out minors. Fake IDs can fool them too. Also, a lot of guards just go through the motions.

If she had not blackmailed your friend before he left, then she probably won't report him. She has nothing to gain from it, and it may end up hurting her job prospects. As others have suggested, he should change SIM cards. Block her from all social accounts. If she can't communicate, she can't blackmail.

She can still track him down via the Subic hotel, assuming the standard practice of the hotel making a photocopy of his passport. But unless she was angry at him and vindictive, I just don't see her making the effort. Most girls doing this for a living are inherently lazy. I know I'm going to get flamed for that.

If she does track him down, he needs to pay up.

Despite what I wrote, he may have a surprise awaiting for him as he clears immigration. Personally, I would be sweating it.

I hope this is a lesson to forum readers to be careful with whom you go. Think of the long term consequences of your actions. It doesn't end with being jailed in a third world country. If you are ever released, you will not have a job to go back to. Your local paper would probably have broken the story. You will not have friends to return to and your neighbors will shun you. Who will pay the rent or mortgage? You will not have any income. Any beloved pets will pass away before you see them again. You may have to register as a sex offender. What will your family (Mom, Dad, siblings) think? Or worse, your children? Your life as you knew it is pretty much over.

Many decent hotels with pools in the $60 range..Thanks for the reply. And for everyone's help. I'm getting a membership today.

I'll be flying out of Raleigh-Durham in NC, I'm 29, very laid back. I could shorten the trip to assist with the increase in the budget, maybe 8 night there? I enjoy any kind of food really. I was stationed in Korea and enjoyed the Filipino food I tried.

Are there any hotels to avoid? Or are most OK with you bringing girls back?

Thanks again everyone! I need this trip.

Well a lot more than the casual visitor. NAIA has been a topic discussed before and this article seems to suggest things can only get better (well they can't get much worse!

But the proof of the pudding is in the eating and maybe the new administration would have a more enlightened approach to the airport than the previous one.

http://www.businessmirror.com.ph/2016/08/17/hope-abounds-for-manilas-main-airport/As usual, NAIA executives--with little vision and a total lack of longer-term planning--focus on immediate solutions with little to no view of long term amelioration. The simple fact is that the capacity of the current airport cannot be expandED significantly. Another, equally salient fact is that ground equipment hasn't been upgraded in decades and there are no plans to do so. Lacking high speed rail, which there are no plans to build, Clark is not a viable alternative. The only viable longer-term solution is a massive upgrading of the entire air transportation system, and there's nothing I've read indicating that this is a possibility. It's amazing that neighboring Thailand managed to construct a world class new airport in 5 or 6 years while this place has been "studying" the problem for ten years or more. San Miguel Corporation presented a viable solution 3-4 years ago; a solution that would have cost the government nothing. Had that proposal been accepted a new airport would have been nearing completion.

On Tuesday, it took me more than 7 hours, portal to portal, to travel between Davao and Makati, largely because the infrastructure of this place is similar to that of some of the poorer African countries. I've seen nothing to indicate that any sustained vision to change things is going to happen any time soon.

GE.And again due to lack of infrastructure (to be see in at least the late 1990 ies) it would be sane to know how many billion pisos phils miss every day due to delayed cargo / mail / people? No one has the right answer but I am up to my neck of it and told every aviation connection I have to meet in neighboring countries (aka more developed). This is not an attack on the common phl man / girl (high light girls). But a big kick in the arse to the Hi so rulers of this -airport / craft lack of handling skills. Would be quite easy to view across te sea to a few neighbors and their airport facilities (which would be highlighted amongst the world leading).

7 hours delays can of course happen all over the world but I get a grip of it happens certain places more than others. The phil way to handle trouble is to repair when broken (aka ground radar system at Naia running on a 13 yo infrastructure where its starts to get hard to replace and buy new parts), instead of maintain constantly (no hick ups). Hard to get attractive slots at Naia so if you plan starting up a new business idea you better plan arr / dep in wee hours where airspace and ground operations are at a minimum.

Today when terrorists surround us, as in a here and there sit, we can all sit down and think how Phil would cope with this threat. My latest 3 deep I have from reasons unknown to man forgot my bottle water in my carry on, no never I've been stopped? Naia T3.In T2, after the last security check, unless you are flying to US, you can assemble a lot of possible dangerous stuff from duty free and the food stalls.

Waiting for a flight and I check flight status online. Clearly shows it will be late 4 hours. I ask at the gate and they say they don't have any information other than every 30 minutes they announce the plane has not arrived. I then ask the gate people where is the plane coming from and they tell me where and I get the flight number. I check that planes flight status and see it won't be departing to Manila for 2 1/2 hours.

Many passengers huddled in the overcrowded, overheated gate for 4 different flights thinking their plane will be arriving in less than 30 minutes!

Du30 should add the executives at the airport and airlines to his priority hit list.

I bet it would be all resolved in 30 days.

This is just the way CP operates without concern for its passengers.

This is just the way CP operates without concern for its passengers. It's such a bizarre airline. I've had flights that were perfect. On time, great service etc. And then others, like yours, that were a total nightmare. It's not just that they screw up, but they're completely uncommunicative about it.

And more and more, after the last 3 hour taxi wait, I've decided to avoid Terminal 3 altogether. Fly PAL, use Clark (they still have a few flights to KL and Singapore), whatever. Just anything but T3.

And getting the president involved in a commercial enterprise?

Really? The solution is simple. Don't fly CP if you don't like them.

BTW PAL isn't doing better. All my flights left 30 minutes to 2 hour plus late, ex SIN, KUL and return.

Like once I had a 2 hour delay leaving Batanes because pilot announced Naia is having one hour plus landing delay, so we can't take off until NAIA is less crowded. Fair, unless you expect to orbit and divert.

And few times the plane couldn't dock in T2 due to lack of gates. Longest was 1 hour wait in the apron.

Welcome to Philippines!

Welcome to Philippines! Both PAL and CP are bad airlines. CP is the best amongst them despite PAL pretend to be a legacy carrier like Singapore, Thai, ANA, JAL etc etc. In my view they fail. I choose CP any given day given the chance to choose. Ex from PALs relatively new fleet of B777, CP have a newer more modern fleet. They use T3 which is best for me as I allways go to Makati. My CP flights have been relatively on time. If they just could skip the annoying competition onboard. Fun airline, hehe.

Delays and congested air traffic (ground and air) are really not the airlines fault. Lack of solid info goes for both airlines. Its almost like listening to a girl, lies lies.

I think some of these discussions are conflating two problems that are largely unrelated. One is the inept manage, est of Cebu Pacific and its poor record of customer service. This has little or nothing to do with the obvious inadequacies of the country'S woeful air transport system. The CP management issue is clearly internal and has little or nothing to do with politics or government. The crumbling, archaic air transport infrastructure is exclusively within the purview of government.

From my perspective, the general management of PAL--while admittedly falling short of acceptable international standards--is orders of magnitude better than Cebu Pacific, which is why I fly PAL exclusively on the Davao-Manila route. If I must suffer the frequent flight delays. I'd rather do so from the relative comfort of the Mabuhay Lounge, receiving accurate and frequent flight updates, than in the squalid, teeming atmosphere of Terminal 3, receiving little or no information.

A lot of flight delays now happen due to congestion as well, take off and departing.I understand about congestion, and of course it's getting worse all over the region. I don't blame CP for that, just for their flakey attitude toward customer service. PAL ain't great, but it's a whole lot better.

The bigger problem for me lately has been airport infrastructure. It's ironic that we all used to complain about the dreadful Terminal 1 but it wasn't all that hard to get there, or to get away from there, by taxi. The traffic at Terminal 3 now at peak hours can be totally jammed up, to the point where it can take you longer to get a taxi than your flight took from HK or KL. We're assured that the construction there will end someday but how many years has it been already? I've learned the hard way just to walk out, jump over the fence, and catch a jeepney going toward Villamor. One more reason to travel light when you're in the Philippines.

With respect GE, you are comparing honeydew melons with watermelons. PAL aspires to be a 5 star airline (stop sniggering at the back) so one would expect customer service to be at least on a par with local standards. CP operates on a low-cost model, so anything that can be outsourced, such as customer service and ground handling, will be. A better comparative would be Ryanair in Europe, Spirit in US, Jetstar in Australia or AirAsia in much of SE Asia.

On my visits, T1 at NAIA is not a deal-breaker, but a major plus. My usual flight from Kuala Lumpur arrives at 1405,when T1 is virtually empty, and my best time is 25 minutes from arriving at the gate to getting into a cab. Post-renovation, T1 is vastly improved, but to my mind sums up the Philippine mentality with regard to planning and execution of any major project (I'm not talking about drug dealers). There is NO departure information except PA announcements once past the check-in area. On my last trip, I went to the advertised gate about 30 minutes before closing to find that it was still occupied by passengers for the previous Malaysian flight to KL. This was announced by staff shouting up the stairs which were the width of a moving staircase, which, being used by both the charge of the late brigade for the delayed flight and intending passengers for the scheduled flight, created even more havoc. There was no notice posted at the entrance to the gate. There is now an advertised smoking room at the rear of one of the shops overlooking the tarmac. Entrance is through the shop and guess what, you need to make a purchase to use the room. ! The old smoking room upstairs still exists, alongside the café/ resto. Still partitioned off by what seems to be recycled plywood with the wooden framework exposed. I must be unlucky as my lighter is usually confiscated at security, but at least 50% of the passengers in the smoking room are always happy to offer me a light. In fact, one fellow Brit gave me his spare lighter. Go figure.

WR's referenced article does offer hope, if not optimism. How long will it take for MIAA to go through the tender process for the turnoffs (3000 php in LA café) and be reviewed by DPWH and the funds disgorged and construction completed? Installing an ILS on runway 13/31 sounds good, but is it? It will shift takeoffs to the main runway and probably reduce movements on it to allow a safety margin for long landings on 13/31. Has anybody seen a landing on 13/31 recently? But to my mind the biggest problem is the distance between the apron for T4 and the centreline of the runway. I know ICAO has a minimum separation between runways to allow simultaneous operation, so I can't imagine it is much less for a runway and 'solid' buildings. I doubt the separation is sufficient.

Rambling over.

Rambling over. They need a new airport.

And 13/31 is 4000 feet shorter than 6/24.

And, take offs and landing happen in 13/31 for smaller planes, 320 and smaller size, though I don't know why they let Do 328, Bae Av jets and PC 21's land on 6/24 during high visibility day times.

There is severe resistance to expanding NAIA, as the landlords around expect a massive pay off and screw the public is the Philippine rich mentality. Like the gated communities not allowing even emergency vehicles to pass through.

However DU30 is anti oligarch so he should make things happen, including moving NAIA out.

He has already pushed for Clark improvement, unlike Aquino who's benefactors don't want change.

I have been using NAIA T1 for my last 3 trips out of the country and I must say the terminal is 1000% better than it was. Plenty more space; lots of friendly guides to assist you; sparkling clean toilets and as a Priority Pass member I have a choice of lounges to rest and wait.

I didn't need to make use of a lounge on Saturday evening because there was no delay. I departed from Terminal 1 on Korean Air on Saturday evening and the flight left bang on time. The irony is that there was a 70 minute delay beyond the advertised departure time at Incheon for my connecting flight onwards. The reason? Air traffic congestion!! Left NAIA 2 months ago to Singapore, flight out delayed by NAIA by one hour. Return flight delayed 45 minutes due to NAIA. If making offshore connections, best factor in a least one hour extra for NAIA delays. Otherwise things have improved significantly from the bullet scam days.

Anyways found a bunch of them from a local Manila site and there's and wealth of good info from there.Walk is a meeting with the intent to fuck a PSP. GVGV is also used for walk. Both walk and GVGV may also mean fuck. PSP is professional sex provider / paid sex provider.

Other codewords are fruitti, meaning male orgasm, aka pops. Unli is unlimited; if a PSP states something like "3 hours unli" you may fuck her as many times as possible within the time period. BTW, unli is uncommon, and I've seen it offered only by the bottom-tier PSPs, aka the happy burger meals (HBMs). Candy is the payment; coffee is also used. Candy and coffee can also be used to mean male orgasm. Live means unprotected sex; most PSPs state live is a don't. CD is condom. Torrid kissing is deep Frenching; most PSPs will list the types of permissible kissing, and smack is a light, brief kiss. OWO is oral without (a condom), and BBBJ is more commonly used. PSE is porn star experience. A suretaker is a reliable customer, one who arranges a meeting and shows up. PSPs will also list permissible positions, and WOT is cowgirl. SEB is sex eyeball, i.e. meet up where you see each other first, determine visual appeal, and have then sex.

If you come across FRs you'll see L / A / S, which is looks, attitude, and service. Score 1-10.

Protocol differs from bargirls in a key way: pay first. Girl usually has a set geoloco area that she'll visit. Some girls want to meet in public place like Jollybee and then go a a hot-sheet hotel like Sogo

You can use a combination of words such as "walk", "candy", "PSP" and city name, such as "Manila" to search Facebook to dig up PSPs. The pages pop up, are active for a while, and then go dormant.

Been thru Manila airport three times in the last three weeks and have to agree that improvements seem to have been made. Taxi issues seem to have been sorted out somewhat.

Sidenote. Checking in for my sad departure via PA, I was informed that the flight was overbooked and it might take a bit of time to print the boarding pass. Keeping a poker face I realized that I was a bit late for the recommended two hour check in and I was a single flyer and I had to go to work the next day. Ouch. Surely her nonchalant way of informing me of overbooking bodes well. Hope so.

"Sir, I've upgraded you to business class".

Biz class food was very nice. Dessert was Carman ice cream. Great stuff.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7vrj0ZP1_oThanks for posting. I think she is pretty accurate in her descriptions of the various types of foreigners that visit AC.

It's important for a bar girl to know how to make money and so over time they become familiar w / the cultural traits of their visitors.

Avoid the stingy ones and enjoy the more fair minded generous types is the best approach to making money and enjoying their job.

In my life I've worked in the tourist industry and we knew when the doctors came into town they were stingy, OTOH, the bankers threw money all over the city.

Groups of people whether by ethnicity or occupation develop a reputation and it usually rings true. I know when I'm on the road I represent my country.

And I'm looking to make a good impression on the locals, my hosts. Then it becomes a win win. The video was well done by her w / some interesting comments about the Ks.

The Apple genius gave you poor advice because the photos still remain on your device. Though they're hidden, they can still be found by anyone who has physical control of your device, such as LE.

Just upload them to your safe email account (15GB w/ gmail, 100GB w/ yahoo, and I think 5GB w/ hotmail), e.g. open an email to compose, attach the files, and save. (If you're very concerned about privacy you'll want to avoid US-based email services, so check out Swiss-based protonmail, but the free account only has 500MB.) The email w/ the attachments will remain in your email account's drafts folder online. Then delete the photos from your mobile / notebook.

You can also use an online photo storage service, like imgur (unlimited photo storage!). Make sure to check the album's privacy. By default it's hidden but it's always prudent to verify. BTW, "hidden" does not mean inaccessible. Also, if you don't verify your email account with imgur you can't share photos to the gallery, which means these are better secured because you can't accidentally share a photo. You can use both methods to ensure a backup. Do NOT cache the password in your device to simplify logon because this means any person with your device can access your email account and/or imgur without being challenged for credentials. Once you verify then delete the photos from your device. Always clear your web browser's cache, too. Do not use dropbox or google drive as a copy must remain on your device. There are other cloud-based storage services such as Mega where you can upload your entire directory, but avoid those that provide synchronisation between the device and the online storage.

There are a few constraints:
1) slow or unreliable Internet will make this time consuming
2) if your data plan limits you to x GB then you may burn through it
3) email services often limit how large in MB the attachment(s) per email are, so you may have to upload photos to multiple email messages.

Do not use dropbox or google drive as a copy must remain on your device.I think this is only true if you choose to utilize the synchronization feature, which is optional. If you're manually uploading files, then they will be stored in the cloud and can be removed from your device without affecting the cloud storage.

I don't want to take any chances w / a few nude photos traveling around unstable countries so I would like them off my mac book Pro when moving about. 1) Two words: Cloud Service. Pushing them from your phone to any service (on any device) usually saves a shadow copy (of thumbnails if nothing more) on the device. Deleting them from your phone (by using your phone's delete function) will not delete them (this simply reserves the room where they are stored for future storage possibility). Hooking the phone to a computer via USB cable and deleting them that way will also leave them on the phone I the same way. I've been using a cloud service (two, actually) for about 4 years now (each is in the $50/ year range). Get a cloud service and learn how to use it before you travel. Then learn how to sanitize your phone / laptop (see #2).

2) Get smart and make sure the photos you snap are saved on your SD card (and not on the camera). There is a reason for this. Once you want to get the pics off your phone, remove the SD card and hook it to your laptop via any cheap ($10) card reader device (it will show up as a drive once connected to your computer with a USB cable). From there, upload your pics to your cloud service online. Then, sanitize that card (which is different than deleting; deleting is not effective). Pop the sanitized SD card back into your phone or camera.

I go one step further. I encrypt the files (into a folder) that I want to send to the cloud, then I upload the encrypted folder. When I want to see the pics later, I download the folder from the cloud and decrypt it. Choose a cloud service that is not at the whim of the US / Brit / AUS / Canadian / NZ government. Clear enough?

3) Sanitizing: Use any of the free items on the internet (google it) that safely delete files. Glary's Utilities has such a function, and there's another called File Shredder (icon is a trash can). Once installed, you can select all of the pics at once (ctrl-A), then right click on them, and in the menu box is an option for securely deleting them all at once.

Wow, thanks to all for this info, I knew this was the best place for posing the question.

Right this minute my mind is twirling and the heart rate is up a bit due the long journey coming in a couple of hours.

I will have time on the plane and on the ground there (the PI) to figure out what I can handle.

The simpler the better. This is all really complex and I have so many loose ends (emails to friends w / pic or text) to delete.

I would have to delete my ph emails, my phone internet use, etc to make me look like a angel.

It goes against my nature to delete conversations on my phone but I have sent pics w / ems.

I think the SD card is something I can handle.

This is really intensive to do it properly. Wow, I'll do my best.

Great help, thanks much!

You can move contacts and even texts to an SD card. The contacts can be done natively in the OS. Chat texts are a bit more tricky because there are many chat apps such as Line and Whatsapp as well as the native texting; google for app-specific info, and in some cases moving the texts may be done by use of free third-party apps such as Super Backup.

The emails should be kept on a secondary email account that's not linked to the mobile and the logon credentials not stored on the device. My baseline security is that I must always enter a username and password to access dating sites, email, chat apps, etc. Cacheing credentials simplifies logon for yourself. And for anyone else who has control of device. Whilst you're sleeping the girl is browsing your mobile after she shoulder surfed your PIN.

Screw you DIA, Badoo and Tagged will do me just fine.Yeah it stands out as the worst dating site ever and how guys actually can obtain their profiles here over the years beats me. I was a member in DIA from many many years back, back when you could pretty much discuss everything, back when prices and how you would fuck the girl was fine and back when you could copy and paste msg you could send out through the DIA web. Backed off a few years and when I returned, a couple of years ago, it was a pain in the ass. I was aware of the changes being made so I backed off discussing anything which could be found abusive, I stopped copy / paste (u get warning after 3/4 msgs anyway), no sex talk. I simply just hit the ladies with a nice neutral msg and shortly after switched them over to Skype, whatsapp, viber etc etc. Still, from reasons unknown to man and all in a sudden, profile closed. I have tried resigning in with different numbers, e mails, pics etc but now I simply run out of gadgets, computers, phone numbers etc etc (I know about the IP addresses of course). Today its not the end of the world loosing out on DIA but as a fullhearted monger I like to fish from all ponds out there. So far the DIA pond is closed at least to me.

OK Cupid does the job for me.Any combination of profanity and user complaints. I haven't used DIA for 2 years, but there used to be an icon for complaining about another user. You are not notified when another user makes a complaint about you: simply reach the magic number of complaints, and your account is closed.

Wechat works perfectly for me.I'll get wechat once I am in country and have a disposable phils sim. I assume there is some kind of registration that requires a text message. If I have any spare time that is, Badoo and Tagged are already filling up my contact lists.

I like to plan in advance and have a girl waiting for me when I get off the plane, but most of the girls are looking to score right now, not many think a few days in advance.

I'm new to this online matching up thing. Spent about 3 hours on Tinder for the first time last night idly swiping and ended up with 3 matches. One was a mistake, an easy thing to do with an app (Android) that hangs for a second frequently so you end up doing something you didn't intend to. I let that conversation die. Another offered "sexy massage" after the greetings so I asked whether she was looking for, um, educational fee assistance. She straight up said yes but then it turned a bit whiny, woe is me kind of thing. She wanted $100 but told her no way. But she looked good in the photos so maybe I'll rekindle that one if she agrees to half that price (2300 PHP roughly). I know you lot would get a lower price but I'd spend a lot more around here in bars, or on taxis+room+girl for FL168 or MBC, whereas this one would come straight to my room. Girl #3, also hot and in her early 20's, wanted to come to my room but denied wanting financial contributions for her studies. Am meeting her later (outside first) but the vibes I'm getting is that it won't be free either. What I don't want to happen is for her to come back to my AirBnB apartment, do the deed, demand $100 or something stupid, and then kick up a fuss if I refuse that much (again, I don't mind paying some but not that much).

Stay tuned. Though if no update in 24 hours may mean something didn't go right!

Also tried mingle2 but not getting any responses. Too chickenshit to upload a picture which is probably why, lest significant others find out somehow. Had to upload one for Tinder but at least that one you have to sign up to see anything.

Badoo is a gold mine, although they have recently changed it so you cannot set your location manually. At least with the latest version I have not figured out how to do it yet. When travelling I would set my location to my next destination a few days in advance and let the contacts come to me. Much in the same way I make them come to my hotel, rather than me going to them. I'm not fighting 'trappic' in Manila or wherever in the world I am at the time.

Tagged I have written about before, it is a bit of a unknown quantity here, but I have had good luck on it. It allows you to browse girls by location, and to set your location manually. I am finding Phils girls very wary of punters not in the Phils already, so setting my location to my next city and filtering through the incoming messages works best for me.

You are mad to pay $100, most girls will accept 1500 pesos but you need to be prepared to negotiate and to walk away from the ones that don't accept. Offer a tip for good performance, that way you are not locked into a price for poor performance. I am pretty blunt when dealing with the girls, I don't have a lot of spare time when I am on the ground, so I need to sort the wheat from the chaff pretty quickly. I'm sure I have discarded a few gems, but they are everywhere in the Phils, just move on to the next one.

A few random lady boys. There is a disco on main drag that has some local young dudes and chicas hanging out there but estimate your chances as slim and none.

I befriended one lady boy at this small outdoor bar. She told me her German boyfriend had just arrived and was sleeping off jet lag in his hotel room. I asked her if she knew any available wild local girls and acted offended that I was looking for putas.

Nice place though if you import someone.

It really is a long and painful period.Lucky you to live near a place that jumps the gun - 15 extra days of Christmas for you! I enjoy my Christmas conversations with the gals who derive a sense of national pride from the Philippines being first to hang the ornaments and play the carols.

Sadly, it won't last long. Saudi Arabia intends to replace the Philippines as the world's earliest celebrant, starting their festivities in July. So, the Philippines will lose world's earliest Christmas season in 2017, but at least the Pinays will be allowed to resume competing in all the international beauty pageants next year.

Maligayang Pasko and Eid Milad Majid greetings to you all.

There is a Cebu forum. Do you have access to it? If so, you should move your questions to that location.

Also, if you tell us the length of stay, a rough budget, and what you want to do at the beach (swim, snorkel, dive) you'd probably get more specific info.

The nearest beach hotels are on Mactan island, but that would put you far from the best malls and nightlife. Some of them are very expensive.

If you have a longer trip I'd recommend you enjoy the city life of Cebu City and then consider a beach destination like Moalboal in South Cebu Island, Malapasqua Island in north Cebu Island, or Alona beach on Bohol.

The begging children usually appreciate food. X.

I'm returning to Manila after about a 2.5 year break. I don't monger in Phills, my visit is to my "other" family. My usual routine is hire car from Airport to Cavita, Dasma area and would probably drive with "family" to Laguna and Batangas. My trip for unexplained reasons is very secret to my normal outside world. So my question of safety given the vigilante killings etc going on. Is it of a serious enough concern for normal people unrelated to the drug and crime industry? I gather the risk is a bit more, but then it has always been a risk for me. As expats living here what is your take on safety? Appreciate any and all inputs.

So if you just arrive quietly, mind your own business and look for hide and shelter (joke) I am sure you will be fine. Basically, if you're not involved with drug addicts / pushers you *should* be perfectly safe but as you'll no doubt understand, Manila is never that simple. Certainly in Metro Manila life is as it ever was. I would imagine both the cops / vigilantes are under instruction to avoid targeting tourists, it's just your regular criminals you'll have to worry about.

It is purely a link to the collective Cebu threads. The lock appears against the connection to the late DragonSlayers thread as well.

The lock used to mean 'read only' or in other words, one can read but not post. This was a form of archiving old posts. I'm guessing it's a software glitch or admin cock-up. Who runs this board now I wonder?

Hello,

Due to my work situation it is possible for me to conduct business from outside my home country. I was thinking that Philippines would be a good destination for maybe 4+ weeks or so. What I need to work from my laptop is a reliable internet connection (4 Mbps or better) and reliable international phone service as a backup.

Any ideas on whether / how I can find good internet for 4 weeks? For example airbnb is easy to book with but I am skeptical of internet service.

Which city would be best? Boracay sounds amazing but I wonder if the internet will be good there. Manila is OK but I do not like crowded cities much. I guess I could survive in Makati.

Cost is not really a consideration. Reliability of internet is the main consideration here. Any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated.

Cost is not really a consideration. Reliability of internet is the main consideration here. Any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated.I completely understand your situation. I've taken this approach: First, book in a place with good reviews about internet service. Second, bring or buy a phone (preferably with dual sim cards for Globe and Smart) that can generate a wifi hotspot. Third, both Globe and Smart offer wifi modems (via cellular signals) with prepaid load. With that kind of redundancy I've never been completely cut off, although at times the bandwidth suffers. A more clever person than I can combine bandwidth from multiple connections.

FWIW In Makati I've had best internet success at the Berjaya Hotel and the Gramercy condos nearby. Besides there, I've had the most solid connections in Alabang. YMMV.

Any thoughts / suggestions would be appreciated. If you are concerned about reliability I would get an open (able to support either Smart or Globe) pocket wifi LTE capable device that has the capability for 2 external antennas (ie Huawei E5577). Then I would connect it to a high gain wide-band MIMO antenna such as an Winaerial2 from Wireng. This antenna is not cheap, but I have had very good results with it in the Philippines both at a fixed location and from hotels. The antenna has 4 suction cups so that you can mount it on a window. The antenna measures 7 x 8 x 2. 5 inches and weighs 1. 5 lbs.

I always make sure the WiFi repeater is in front of my room or with in 6 feet. First thing I do when I check in the room is to see where the repeater is and then check the connection for strong signal behind the closed door. That is about the best you will get in the room. Some hotels have stronger WiFi in the common area like the lobby or restaurant.

If you want to pay a slight premium and stay on the Fairmont Gold floor, it's got its own server and offers slightly faster service than the rest of the hotel.

I've stood out in the hallway and pointed my computer at the wifi. It usually doesn't help. Agree with 787, go to the lobby or the restaurant and your prayers might be answered.

Not 100% reliable but occasional drop-outs of a couple of minutes at most. Did seem susceptible to peak time throttling (or just overdemand). Apartments were in Pasay (Mall of Asia) and BGC. Probably if you ask an AirBnB host what speeds they have, they won't know, but try asking whether it's bundled with the TV package and what that is so you can look it up.

I recently took advantage of my mobile phone carrier's "free unlimited 2G roaming" package. Apart from the complete clusterfuck of a setup, and subsequent denial they even offered such a service (transcripts soon sorted that one), and fixing of my non-free international roaming data access charges, the phone was about as much use as a chocolate teapot in Manila. I subsequently went to another country roaming and 2G was fine so I'm not sure where the problem lay. In hindsight I should have used a throwaway phone with a local SIM. Others have offered advice on phones anyway. I'm just saying don't rely on your domestic carrier: have a back up plan!

Meanwhile I found that internet is faster in Bangkok (much faster) so I might switch to that destination instead.

I'm curious about whether anyone has seen any reliable information on the impact of the current imbroglios on tourism? I'd imagine, given the recent verbal assaults against the EU, the UN and the US that tourism from these areas would be adversely affected, but I've got no confirmation that this is true. Does anyone know?

GE.These 2 links while Philippine government tend to suggest more people are coming. No surprises there IMHO The biggest worry should be not what is happening in the poor parts of town or the drug shoot out as can't see many tourists wandering around there and / or being involved in drugs but the Zika virus as this is now in the country and the USA has now issued warning about the country for the Zika virus.

GE.No info here in the USA. No one here in USA is upset at all about Dutere's comments about anything and I mean anything, whether it is directed to USA or not.

I highly doubt anyone is offended and changed plans to come. Only ones I can think of who might be offended would not even have the budget for a plane ticket.

Philippines is not on too many peoples radar here. Most remarks are made hoping that President Du30 will clean out the corruption. Also they blame the Catholic Church for the over population and poverty problems along with the corruption as causes.

Anecdotally again, OFWs here in SoCal are keen to say that PI is safer now than before, because the extrajudicial stuff is against the druggies, not tourists. This is more worker to co-worker "I heard that. " kind of conversations than any big concerted effort to spread the word. Probably some potential tourists are scared off but IMHO not significantly many.

Anecdotally cancellations are occurring. Awaiting next batch of numbers. The highest was end July 2016 based on the 2 links I presented Amavida. And please share with everyone your statistical basis for the "anecdotally cancellations" as would love to know how many and the percentage of total reservations please. And what was the reason as could be sickness, death, as well have a weak stomach and some maybe recreational druggies also so perhaps feel other countries will be more lenient to their hobby. Who knows but help everyone with figures and sources.

I ask again are you related to the CHR and / or the previous administration as you seems somewhat intense in your dislike of the new administration. Stats from the links I provided (did you read?) show end July being the best month so how do you know that people are cancelling.

Please share your wisdom.

I have a "milestone" birthday coming up early next year and my family have all suggested we celebrate somewhere in Oz, Bali, Singapore or Bkk, but not Philippines.

It's definitely not robust empirical data, but it does suggest that the adverse press and media has had some effect on a small segment of the educated Australian populace.

This incident happened in Cebu but given it is a more general comment on monger attitudes, I posted it here.

I was travelling from Cebu to Manila. Normally I don't have anyone accompany me to the airport but this time I did. A well dressed fairly conservative girl I have known for a few years. As we walked into the domestic airport. A tall youngish (35 approx.) foreign guy gave my friend the eye. I asked my friend to take a seat at the cafe while I checked in. After checking in I came back outside to the cafe and the foreigner was sitting two tables away directly looking at her. Ok I should have started to get suspicious. I walked my friend back down the ramp to arrivals. As we were walking down the ramp the announcement came that my plane from manila had arrived so I was conscious for time. I took her right up to within 20 metres of the taxi line and told her take the white taxi not the yellow. . Ok I should have walked her to the taxi and put her in the taxi. As I was walking back up the ramp the foreign guy walked past me avoiding eye contact. I looked back towards the taxi line and there was no one in the queue so I assumed she had already walked to the taxi and got in. What I had not realised was the illegal taxi touts had commandeered her and convinced her that she had to wait for a taxi they would organise. Why the airport allows these people to rip people off I don't know. They should be arrested and fined. Based upon what my friend has told me the foreign guy grabbed her before getting into the taxi the illegal touts had organised and would not let her in the taxi saying I want to know you; you are beautiful. My friend asked him to let her go so eventually the illegal taxi lady calls security over. The foreign guy tells the security guard get lost it is none of his business. Finally the security guard physically intervened and pushed the foreigner out of the way. My friend jumped in the taxi and left. It is really my fault, I should have walked her into the taxi and secondly walked back when the guy passed me on the ramp.

The point of the story is that some guys get delusions that the Philippines is a candy shop and everything is there for them to pick up. This guy is delusional and in grave danger of physically accosting the wrong person. Approaching any random girl and chatting them up has risks. Physically restraining someone is path to disaster. Hope this post has some educational value.

As for your milestone birthday I would suggest a visit to AC or Cebu and we could suggest a collection of cuties to number you milestone age when added up. Mate did this in AC a few years back with his wife rounding up 7 ladies from the bars for a "sex party" in their suite at the hotel. Am sure that would be 'memorable' and is something I will plan when I reach any milestone birthday (but I am a young fella RK as you know!

Just an idea of course RK and one that I would happily help you organise LOL.

I have my Filipino number on roaming when outside the Philippines. Unfortunately the sms costs to respond from overseas to a sms sent to my Filipino number are prohibitive (40 pesos per message if I remember). I have not been able to get Skype (and tried another smaller vendor) to have call number display correctly working in Philippines. Call number display works in Australia but there seems to be some problem with Philippines telecom carriers. Thus if I send a sms message from skype to a Philippines mobile it does not show my number but some number the local philippines telecoms carrier uses. This causes all sorts of confusion where my Filipino recipient responds to the "fake" mobile number displayed as the sender.

Sometimes I get messages from Filipino senders where they don't have any load but use some free messaging service to send the sms. However it still shows as received from the real user's number rather than a fake telecoms carrier number. Does anyone know what local Filipinos use for these Philippines free message services? I expect some responses to say don't use sms anymore-everyone uses facebook messaging or viber or what's app. In my experience that is not true because still many people I communicate with cannot afford a smart phone so they have simple text phone (quite often bought by me)

G'day MA, if your textors are too poor / uneducated to avail of IP telephony the last resort is to buy an OFW Sim from Globe, load it up with max credit and enable roaming on it just before you board the plane homeward. In your home country use the sim as you would normally. Yes it's not cheap but you value communicating these people and could afford airfares / hotels / punting right? Occasionally you will need to top up the load on these sims. Web sites exist selling third party top up.

They just text my local Phil number as same cost as usual, I reply on whatever number am using as cheap and I get freebies also in some countries. Or use BBM / WhatsApp / Viber. That is better as easier to send photos and videos. I am not much a conversation person, so when I have a girl in the room between pops I let her download apps or games to her CP or tablet using the hotel WiFi. Yes the WiFi speed is slow and maybe even slower as they are browsing thru Facebook, but they are happy and don't mind waiting. I have found the LT girls love the WiFi and usually don't get online that often and are happy amusing themselves.

I had mentioned in a much previous post that I bring used CP and tablets to give away to star performers. I had been getting the used CP for free or cheap from friends who were upgrading their phones. These CP and tablets are still better than the crap they buy in Phil for 4-5 k. Make sure they are unlocked GSM phones before you bring them. Now on #A online shopping store you can buy a great new CP with 5" screen, 16 GB, 2 g ram for $60. Last trip to Manila I exchanged this CP each to 2 different girls for a couple of nights of lovemaking. I also gave them 1 k each for food and round trip taxi.

You can buy a tablet from the online store for $50 and be a hit. I augment the CP or tablet with a 32 GB micro SD memory chip. You can buy those online for less than $11 whereas in Phil they sell for $20+.

For lighter travel I just bring extra CP and micro SD chips.

Ye chikka works fine, there is another one I have used, but chikka now give you more texts per day / per number than befour so no need.

OK, here is my list of why I love / hate the Philippines. Please feel free to disagree;.

Love: Low prices, warm weather, cute girls all over, some amazing beautiful places (Puerto Galera for one.), everybody speak English, happy smiling people, respect for the elderly, love kids and respect family, easy going, talented musicians everywhere, fun loving, mostly honest people, caring (best nurses in the world? The new President (bad mouthed, but seems he is serious about getting rid of drugs and corruption).

Hate: Manila (dirty, noisy.), jealous people, tricycles, jeepnees (please can somebody ban these monsters.), slow wi-fi, crap food compared to Thailand and Vietnam (fast food chains like Jollybee is VERY bad), singing everywhere (karaoke), their habit of lying with a straight face, street vendors, beggars, bad roads, traffic, slow service (check-in or check-out of hotels as an example), signing papers everywhere. Even bar bills (wtf? "the white guy always pay" - so your girl will gather lots of family and friends for meals, crap standards. Things tend to fall apart, burn outs, typhoons (hard to avoid in these waters), added cost for use of bank cards, crime, the "filthy rich" (they say 10 families control 90% of private wealth in the Philippines), lack of basic healthcare for everyone.

PI has been around for about 120 years, more than any SEA country but has the worst infrastructure of any other SEA country. The political system is based on the USA system. It does not work in USA, how can it work in PI? President is there for 6 yeas and every 6 years, it's start all over. There is no long term planning. No 5, 10 year planning that carries over. Every politician is there for themselves and how much they can make. No projects can happen unless the politician's payback markups are agreed. Why has not the Manila airport been rebuilt? The companies could not agree to the demands of the Presidents and other politicians. The Casino that is being built in Manila had to pay US 10 million to the politicians. Until the political system changes, there is just NO hope for change in PI.

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking at the Phillipines for a possible trip and had a number of questions from more experienced goers:

In part I was considering going to see Angeles city for the 2 weeks I can get off. Are there other places worth going to see? Is Cebu worth the trip? Is the best course of action to skip Manila on arrival and go straight to Angeles? How far is it?

I've just come back from Pattaya and am curious how Angeles City or the rest of the Phillipines compares? How they're different in broadstrokes? Are the Gogo Bars similar? How readily available are the women here? What are the price ranges?

How big is Angeles City and is it walkable?

How is the safety situation now with the new president and his antidrug campaign?

Thank you for any clarification on these points.

Thanks and welcome to Philippines forum. Filipinas are very friendly and considerate, very caring and offer everything you expect and often more.

Likewise, the contributors to this forum are also friendly, considerate and helpful.

You will find answers to all of your questions in the Forum. Reading the threads will give you a much better feel and knowledge for the place.

As a guide to how addictive they are...my first trip was 2 days...now I take three weeks per trip.

The pollution of urban waterways is one of the saddest things I see in the Philippines. I might disagree with your listing of tricycle. Yes, they are noisy, but they are also convenient and cheap. The exception would by the trikes of AC. They have one of the smallest trike designs in the Philippines and have set up a cartel to squeeze as much money as possible out of passengers. Add to that, certain members of their ilk will constantly shout "TRIKE" at every non-Filipino passerby.

No projects can happen unless the politician's payback markups are agreed. Why has not the Manila airport been rebuilt? The companies could not agree to the demands of the Presidents and other politicians. The Casino that is being built in Manila had to pay US 10 million to the politicians. Until the political system changes, there is just NO hope for change in PI.The total bribes for the Casino were USD $40 million, not $10 million, filtered down from the President.

In general economy has improved for many people. According to the many girls I enjoyed who has regular jobs. They still live in shanties but more and more people are upward mobile. For a high school graduated girl she can get a job in factory earning 6000 to 10,000 depending on the company, overtime etc. Some girls said they are asked to work overtime but did not get paid extra. Complaining does not help. All work in contract jobs unless employed by the government which is a permanent job. Even these jobs are sometimes outsourced to companies which means contract.

Nowadays malls hire only college educated girls at least two years of college including fast food joints. They make around 8000 per month on an average. IT girls make 12000 to 16000 but their hours are graveyard hours.

How do these girls survive? They are not the saving type for a rainy day. There is good support structure from family, extended family, friends etc. When in need they all help. One girl I met stays at her friends house with no complaints. Sometimes she helps with the groceries but does not pay rent. Phi people are family loving whether their own or otherwise.

On the other hand DIA girls do not jump into bed like before to make money. It takes more effort nowadays. There are quite a few marriages taking place with foreigners. Problem is people who are already married in their own country are marrying here. They make regular visits and support wife and kids if any. I heard only people who are taking their wives to their countries are real old guys who need companionship, help etc. It has become quite common girls say. Some girls are quite happy because they are supported and have foreign babies even though there is no chance for the children to get into fathers country. There are instances where this gravy train suddenly stops forcing the girl into prostitution to support the kids. Almost all the girls tell me they know a cousin, aunt etc married to a foreigner. When I ask which country they go to they say they are still here. One girl said her aunt is married to a very old foreigner and lives in Osaka. She has one kid and the kid rarely comes to Philippines.

I guess when you are desperate you will grab any straw.

This is my take talking to girls. Others who live here may have a different opinion.

Just about every permutation is possible with the filipina / foreigner situation, including happy / sad outcomes.

The words from the classic rock ballad "Khe Sanh" by the Aussie icons "Cold Chisel" just popped into my head (linked to Vietnam but relevant to all of SE Asia).

And she was like so many more from that time on.

Their lives were all so empty, 'til they found their chosen one.

And their legs were often open.

But their minds were always closed.

And their hearts were held in fast suburban chains.

Pretty accurate IMHO.

Sammon, if I may offer some anecdotes in reply.

Thing about needing a college degree to work in a mall 100% verified. Note a four year degree usually, in order to alternately stare into space vacantly, and work a cash register. Granted the grade school system only went up to 10 until of late, but I remember clearly doing this job in the USA At age 16 on account of why the fuck would anyone but a non-hs-graduate do it. Not sure what else to say about that, except graduating "college" with a "business major" in order to type in the unscannable barcodes in the supermarket seems like a bit of overkill, or maybe not.

Have a friend, an ex, who's 17-year old daughter is going to "college" for "tourism" whatever that is. She (the daughter) and her classmate spent the last week constructing a garbage can out of used plastic bottles as their most urgent class project. No I am not making this up. I'm not sure what the point of this "school project" is, how it relates to "tourism," or what that says about what is taught in "college" here, but it can't be good. Perhaps the 4-year graduate working the cash registers is appropriate.

My perception is also that the general level of the poor seems to be on the uptrend, although I have only been here for five years so it's merely an impression.

About family:

Yes these girls and everyone at their income level here have strong family ties. I think it is a somewhat fanciful to ascribe that to loving their families. IMO, It's more of a survival tactic. All resources are shared, within the local "tribe. " Questioning this can get you banned from the tribe, which is a serious survival threat. It's not love, it's fear. Very irritating when you but a girl a nice dress or a pair of shoes and they are immediately "borrowed" by a relative. But that's the reality. If they get ANYTHING they are expected to share it. The alternative is repercussions ranging from future not-getting-shared-with, to active hate / sabotage / disavowal.

Ex: I used to go with a girl with a foreign husband, one day I was asking her why did you give all that money to your sister? She replied that it was so the sister would not rat us out to the husband. This is typical. I stopped seeing her as I don't like being an expense. But the point is, Flips will fuck each other up / hold eachother hostage to vulnerabilities / generally screw anyone they can, if not for profit than just for spite / crab mentality.

Families are a survival mechanism. Bucking the mechanism invites retaliation. The result is the same but let's not delude ourselves concerning the motive. The level of life here, among the non-elite, is basically like those fucking stupid teledramaas; but worse, and real.

Last anecdotes: I know a lovely Pinay with an Aussie husband who never visits, the expectation is that she will basically be a caregiver at the end of his obese life when he retires in a few. Typical of what you said. She stays here and gets remittances, eventually she will go there and change his [CodeWord131] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord131) or whatever, and inherit when he kicks off. They both seem completely satisfied with this arrangement.

On the other hand, I have a younger male friend in the U. S. (in his early thirties) who I introduced to the magic of the Philippines, who has visited here exactly once and is now engaged to a woman who is apparently his true love, "the one". In my estimation, because no woman in the States will fuck him, because he is not rich, in his thirties, and slightly overweight. This is his paradise and he fully intends to import her to the USA and live in ultra-satisfaction with a wife that would be way out of his league in the "first" world, forever. So things are… varied.

Disclaimer: this post was intended to prove nothing just exchanging experiences.

She makes 20 k per month minus 32% tax and other government contributions such as SOCIAL security philhealth and PAG IBIG housing. She works during the daytime but was once transfered to graveyard on very short notice.

I have another girl that works at the Supreme Court. She works a lot of free overtime (even on days off) doing extra duties with a promotion carrot dangled in front of her. Everytime I ask when she is going to get the promotion she says that she does not know and just has to be patient. I just can not wrap my mind around working for a government or big company for free like that.

The tourism degree IMHO is useless and am sure RK is better placed to more intellect around this and the K12 argument many had that the country need not introduce it (but I think it has).

One of my pinyas was told to take photos in Sinulog (Cebu) for her final assignment (graded) for tourism. Some had to take a trip to HK not to see the Peak etc but the professors went to Disney! I saw the schedule and told her to complain. Was told to be quiet or be 'failed'. Madness.

I have always said they will rat etc on each other, jealousy is of the reasons (and some think that equals love). Jealousy is part of their make up and "if I can't have you can't either and I will do my best to make sure you don't enjoy" attitude of many pinays is very destructive (chismis als). Look at how they use Facebook?

As for the US guy, he will likely find his pinay finds more sausages than his once in USA. Many do.

Everytime I ask when she is going to get the promotion she says that she does not know and just has to be patient. I just can not wrap my mind around working for a government or big company for free like that.In the same vein, one of my provincial girls took a job in her hometown last December at the local city hall. She sits just outside the barangay official's door at a table, asking anyone who approaches what his / her biz is, then directing them into (or away from) the politician's door. She has no other duty. Its a full day's work (sitting, doing mostly nothing), 5 days / week. Her daily pay is set in stone (I think she said p85/ day, or thereabout). Her 1-tryke then 1-jeep ride each way is p14 (28 round-trip), and she must bring (or buy) her own lunch daily (she skips lunch, as she can't afford it).

Kicker: Her pay is dependent upon her having a bank account and a local bank card (like a debit card). She doesn't have that. They refuse to pay in cash. Since she doesn't have the bank card, she has never been paid anything. The politician promises to pay her in full as soon as she gets the bank card. She's been working 9 months with no pay. Its unfathomable how anyone would consider doing this, but she seems to have no qualms. Where she comes up with the p140/ week for transport fare is also unknown to me. Amazing. She's an absolute sex fiend, wanting sex 4-5-6 times everyday (I dare say that if I had one of you good horny gents with me and her in a hotel room, she'd wear us both down to a nub in 24 hours, and she'd be wanting more), and her skinny pretty ass has been posted a number of times in the PG. There she is, one of the prettier and horniest women on earth, working for nada.

Kicker: Her pay is dependent upon her having a bank account and a local bank card (like a debit card). She doesn't have that. I recall reading only 1/3 of the people here have bank accounts. And the rest? Not enough money to open an account - it's usually p1000, but I think Maybank is p500. And if they have the money they don't have the IDs. Too often they don't even own the acceptable footwear that permits them into a government office to get an ID.

I posted an account of a girl who worked at a call centre. Fortunately she was being paid. With the assistance of BDO bank her employer, Convergys, had an arrangement that accounts could be opened for its employees for the direct deposit of pay. The bizarre thing about this account is that no one else could deposit money into it, including the girl herself. She could withdraw funds from an ATM. This is what I wrote then:

A lot of workers don't have their own personal bank account (why???). Employers prefer direct deposit, and it's safe for the employee, so BDO created a special account that is in the employee's name, from which the employee can draw funds. Seems like a savings account. Ooops, spoke too soon. The employee is not allowed to deposit money into the account. Why? No one at BDO could answer that. "Your bank doesn't like money?" Silence. When an employee leaves her job the company ought to deposit the final pay packet into the account. For a bizarre reason some companies prefer to cut a cheque instead. See where this is going? The employee can't deposit the cheque. I guess that cheque is an eff you to the former employee. Does BDO make it possible for a person to convert the account to a savings account? Keep in mind that this person is already known to BDO since she has the payroll debit account. Not at all. A white face asking a lot questions soon brings the BDO manager. He makes a phone call, speaks for a few moments, and... surprise! The cheque can be deposited. Jeez.

Since she left Convergys the account couldn't be converted to her own savings account. Ultimately she opened her own account with Maybank, which was conveniently located for her in Manila... and nowhere else.

As for the pay this is no uncommon. I always tell the girls use BPI Express as was PHP200 to open at one time. I know foreign firms who pay into a bank account all the salaries of their staff who have to go and get their salary in cash (not allowed a bank card by the bank) and their employer will not pay into anyone accounts.

But am not amazed at your story as they really believe the politician. Unlike many in the rest of the world.

And am sure he can give her the cash to open the account but won't.

I posted this on the Cebu board as refers there but the comment from the airlines is a truism and those who fly a lot would agree.

Posted on Cebu forum.

This I think is good news? More Koreans is bad news IMHO but direct flights to Asia from Cebu is great news as I do hate going via Manila at times.

The comment about "please upgrade the airports" is something discussed a lot on this board.

Hello,

I'm planning my first visit to the Philippines and had a question about dating sites like Pinalove.

Do you find it more effective to use direct opening with what you expect from the girl, or more generic pleasantries that you would use in "normal" internet dating? (and if so, at which point the details go into discussion, if at all?

Just a tip before you head off there. If you are too explicit about what you want in your profile, someone will report you and you will be blocked. Pinalove is virtually useless unless you pay for a membership, and that fee might be better spent on a membership of ISG here so that you can PM members and they can PM you.

Was not sure where you post this, but here seems as good a place as any.

So I've been chatting with a girl for about 2 months, she's 18 (or so she says), but not by much. She doesn't have a passport or any ID's beyond a Police Clearance letter (no photo) and a Voter Registration letter (with photo). Of course both could be fake. Anyone had any experience with this?

Usually I'd just forget it and err on the side of caution, but I don't want to throw away the chance to bang a fine young (legal) thing without due reason.

Oh I wouldn't go there but since you ask you must be worried about something. Don't trust IDs which are not SSS ID or passports. My rule after an extortion attempt. All other IDs are easily faked and can be bought at a place in Manila, but for the love of God of it, I can't seem to remember the name. Passports and SSS ids can also be faked of course but I think I am being paranoid enough. Experience runs its course I guess.

You probably know already and its been repeated many times but as a foreigner in Phils and especially when dealing with girls we have no rights. Doesn't matter if she provides you 6 different IDs who states she is of legal age. If she's not and authorities gets involved you are to be blamed and locked up. In best case they just want to press you from money (its soon x mas and all that shit). When your case is about to show up in court, in a 2 to 7 years time, then maybe you will get off easier providing the fact she in fact let you to believe she was of legal age. I don't want to go through this for a shag in a country where there are 1000's of willing more safe girls. Just my 1 cent.

Usually I'd just forget it and err on the side of caution, but I don't want to throw away the chance to bang a fine young (legal) thing without due reason. Not having reasonable identifying documents is surprisingly, even shockingly, common here. I would not consider that a de facto red flag. But frankly, if this girl is attempting to catch you in some kind ofunder age scam, no amount of documents are guaranteed to help you, completely regardless of her actual age. Conversely, the average Pinoy, who is not in fact trying to perpetrate such a scam, cares or is aware that such a thing as under-18 or over-18 even exists. For example, I recently had to exasperatingly and repetitively explain to a GF why her 17-year-old niece could not work for me as a domestic helper, as being alone in my house with the niece would render me liable to criminal prosecution. The GF basically thought I was a fucking wingnut and probably lying. Most Filipinos have exactly zero idea what their actual laws are, (and excusably so, since it doesn't matter) and approximately zero of them are interested in, or have any knowledge of, or could even conceive of, the western craze of paedohysteria that has recently gripped America and other Anglophone countries. We're not playing on he same ball field.

Long story short, you are either 1) dealing with an extremely rare instance of a LT scammer, in which case it really doesn't make any difference what age she actually is, because the corrupt police involved in such a scam won't give a fuck if you have a picture of her ID, valid or not, as that is irrelevant to extracting cash from you; or, 2) dealing someone who has probably never even heard of such a thing as it mattering whether she is over 18, in which case it will also still be irrelevant. Personally, I would consider a voter registration letter with a photo sufficient to ally my fears, depending on context. The only concrete advice I might offer would be that if she is from / around / in Angeles, drop it, if from the provinces, you are almost certainly not in any danger, and if in a Manila or Cebu, grey area. As you have not provided any specifics, your gut is probably your best guide. (Not your dick.).

My feeling is though, that you may be inadvertently equating western rule of law jurisprudence systems with the Philippines, and thus assuming that a provably reasonable mistake of fact would be a factor if there is trouble. Actually that is not even a factor in some USA States, depending on the letter of the law, but I digress. It won't be. In reality the only relevant issue is whether you are being set up to be scammed or not, and that is something that you are probably in the best position to assess. If you are not sure of your footing, then take FastPiston's advice and just walk, there are plenty of opportunities available.

Lack of ID: not a red flag (common amongst poor).

Police clearance letter: That's 'unusual'. Do you mean NBI clearance? May indicate she has been on the emigration conveyor belt either OFW preparation or another amorous foreigner? The poor avoid police & don't have pesos to waste. Odd.

In any event, documents are easily rustled up from sidewalk 'notaries' and so are not to be relied on. Asian women often look young for their age to westerners eyes.

I've had 18 yr old virgins insist on impaling themselves on me and lived to tell the tale. Best advice is to look at her words & actions, get a vibe from the interpersonal interaction. Do you feel she is a husband hunter or, just looking to exchange body fluids for pesos? A little of both? Is it too good to be true: ie agrees to anything without emotion?

What do you know of her family after two months?

Ultimately there is no infallible detection of police set ups.

Meet in a public area. If she turns up with a chaperone, eye them both off. Trust your gut.

Filipinos need police clearance for almost anything that involves applying for a job, applying for a passport, and I'm sure an endless list of other things. It is entirely common and should raise no red flags.

GE.I helped 3 girls obtain police clearance ID on my last visit. Cost is approximately p110 (two separate payments of p50 + 60). The police ID is not a card, its printed on a sheet of paper, and includes the girl's picture. The whole process takes 15 minutes (fill out application, pay fees in separate room, show birth certificate and barangay ID or cedula, take pic, print ID, walk away).

GE.Postal IDs are common but in Greenhills these are easily faked as seen many in my times I also chat cam to cam and have a look, see the surroundings etc (also to make sure no LB).

Passport is the best as needs NBI and birth certificate and that only costs 2500 PHP or thereabouts. And is quick now am told by some who have recently got it.

But what girl brings her passport with her?

As Amavida said, your gut also tells you things, looking at the person and asking a direct question also works for me.

Our interactions seem fairly normal, no red flags there. She's not coy but not slutty. Seems more than comfortable coming to my condo for an afternoon even thought she's 4 hours away.

What does worry me are two things 1) She's from Gapan City which isn't too far from Angeles (although I don't think she does there), 2) mention of a sister with a Shabu problem in Taguig and 3) she's "lost her school ID.

If it wasn't for that I probably would have met her already.

She says she'll have a proper ID in a month, so I may just wait for that.

Usually I'd just forget it and err on the side of caution, but I don't want to throw away the chance to bang a fine young (legal) thing without due reason.I understand that it could be tempting and I hope apart from the age she is a great looker, these two factors might be tempting you. Having said that why would you take a risk for that one fish when there are so many in the pond. You would be the best judge whether it's worth the risk or not.

Some people spend all day lining up for their 15 minutes of processing.

In Robinson's Galleria in Ortigas on some days one cannot get through the passageway near the processing center for bodies waiting in a line that sometimes extends for 100 meters.

Soapy Smith has given you excellent advice. Read the thread "Chat rooms and Pen Pals" for advice.

Just a tip before you head off there. If you are too explicit about what you want in your profile, someone will report you and you will be blocked. Pinalove is virtually useless unless you pay for a membership, and that fee might be better spent on a membership of ISG here so that you can PM members and they can PM you.Thank you all and sorry for not noticing the right forum.

Speaking of another subject, not that I intend to go for [CodeWord902] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord902) pinay, but reading about the prospect of someone who says she's 19 secretly being 17 got me worried. I did some searching and as far as I could dig up, the age of consent in Phils is 12, however for prostitution it's 18, and Philippines have a special agreement with US about reporting and deporting any US citizens caught with someone below 18. So if I'm a citizen of a country with age of consent at 16, resident of a country with age of consent at 15, is the prostitution clause the only one that could potentially apply to me? Or I'm missing some obvious thing? Is the prostitution clause applied to meetings via dating sites if some gifts but no money exchanged hands?

=============================================

Greetings Gentlemen,

The Age of Consent is the age in which girls can participate in consensual, non-commercial sex with their teen-age boyfriend without said teen-age boyfriend being charged with statutory [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123).

However, the Age of Consent is irrelevant to the members of this forum.

What you need to focus on is the Age of Majority, which among other things is the age in which they can vote, get married, enlist in the military, and participate in commercial sex activities.

Please exercise caution and govern yourself accordingly.

Thanks,

The age of majority will vary depending upon the nature of the activity in which the person is engaged. Thus in the same state or country the age of majority for driving may be sixteen while that for drinking alcoholic beverages may be twenty-one. The law is quite simple for mongers in the Philippines: do not enter into sexual relations with any one under the age of 18.

Prostitution is unequivocally ILLEGAL in The Philippines.
It's a third world country with a corrupt judiciary.
Girl says you forced her? You're toast.
Girl says you paid her? You're toast.
Murder is now state sanctioned. Girl takes a dislike to you? Your bullet riddled body will be found in an alley.

We have some guys here that love to put down the women they hire from the bars. They think that if a punter wants to go out and party or take their rental to dinner the punter suffers from low self esteem. That hookers don't deserve respect for the work they do and that they could get a regular job.

Well this is the reality. This is what they risk on every bar fine. Maybe they don't have the same fate as this unlucky bar girl but they risk verbal and physical abuse at any moment while in the room of a strange man. All to make a decent living and to help their families. Oh, and they are entertainers that make the majority.

Of mongers happy. They risk everything to do this.

Hi,

I will reach Davao and I'm talking online with a beautiful girl who like to meet me. She is from Tagum. I invited her to spend some days with me in Davao and she told me her parents could be worried. She invited me to meet her parents in Tagum. If I will go to Tagum, her parents will not be worried anymore because they understand I am a good man. But at what do I go toward if I will meet them?

Thanks for some info.I don't understand your problem. Go to meet them. They probably want to make sure you are not one of those online perverted trolls and have good intentions with her.

Don't forget to bring gifts for the family as an icebreaker.

I'm not sure about the question, "what do I go toward?

I've usually found meeting family to be an adventure in itself. I've never had a bad experience, although it can be a bit uncomfortable.

Once I was treated to a feast, once I was manipulated into feeding the whole extended family. Every time was different.

BH has been PMing a few of the seniors asking questions about Davao and other matters most (all) of which he can find on the board via RTFF. I have steered clear of his PMs as have 2 other seniors who contacted me I did not like the nature of the PMs. And he is still trawling for information.

Just a heads up as have chats with others as seemed to be at the time a serial PM person.

Without knowing the minimum it is hard to offer any advise.

Try not to be there to long as you may find yourself paying for all kinds of things. Just remember if you are invited to anything, you are paying for it. And maybe everyone in the block.

Generally if you pay off moms debt at the corner store, and get dad some liquor, they will gift wrap and deliver her for you.

I'll go on a 6-8 weeks vacation and looking for a destination to stay at, country and city. I used to live in Bangkok some years and travelled Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Philippines, Singapore. Since I'll stay longer than just two weeks, I'm looking for a good mix of:

- freebies / dating / pickup: Money isn't an issue, I just enjoy chasing normal girls and having some around. It's just a different experience.

- pros / nightlife: Likewise, I appreciate the convenience of P4 P infrastructure when a date went wrong or you just want to pay-and-fuck-and-go.

- relaxation / infrastructure: It's still a vacation and I need to recharge my batteries, so it shouldn't be something completely rural and wild-west. Doesn't necessarily have to be a large city though.

I'm currently leaning towards:

- Philippines: Not sure where exactly, but believe it could be a good mix of all.

- Indonesia: Spent five days in Jakarta before and had some freebies; eager to explore the city / country more.

- Thailand: Always a good mix of all of above.

What do you think?

I guess a suitable rejoinder (recalled from my school days) is to say that "it takes one to know one".

In keeping with the school-yard scenario, I could also say that "my father is a policeman and I am going to tell him you're a drug pusher", but that's taking the joke a step too far.

Thanks, Daz.General Santos (GES) is considered the Tuna capital. Its Tuna, Tuna and not much mongering going on down there. If you absolutely have to go there I would most def use dating sites in the hunt for girls. I am sure there are establishments with girls in GES as well but I don't visit them anyway so didn't look for any. GES isn't prepped for us horny western guys (at least not hordes of us). Girls from GES tends to be quite attractive and tend to be more high-rise than normal Phil standards (based on a very sparse and subjective survey).

As WC said, don't bother going there unless you are interested I seeing a large tuna fishing port.

Too much random lawlessness potential in areas all around there, and if you are not familiar with the area you are taking a risk. You should be OK if you stay in the confines of Davao City, and in a reasonable hotel.

I'd echo what WC and RK wrote, and just add you could probably find a 'nice girl' or two in GenSan if you lived there. Problem with that is, I've never seen any apartments. You might be able to find a house to rent but it's pretty much a Philippine city for Filipinos. You would be the only one of your kind in the neighborhood. Allot of eyes will be on you where ever you go. Restaurants are few, except for some standard chains in the malls. The malls are the center of the universe there, not much else to do. And night time is absolutely dead. In the short term, you could probably get some text mates by handing out your number. But before you get anyone to your place, you'd probably first have to convince her you're not a sex maniak. If you're not, fine, but I wouldn't suggest lying to try to get your way. They tend to be curious about foreigners but scared to actually go out. You could try the sites for a quick shag but you don't need to travel all the way to the southern most city to do that. For what it's worth, I heard it's under real tight security now, allot of men with rifles around the malls. Lake Sebu has a nice waterfall but it's far away and may not be a good idea to go there now. Hope that helps.
