A bunch of resorts on eastern Mactan island (the small island where the Int'l Cebu airport is, just across the bridge from Cebu); Tambuli Resort and Maribago Resort are some of those that I remember there. On Google Maps, enter "Resorts on Mactan Island". Bohol beach resorts (the resorts are, like Cebu, across the bridge from Bohol on tiny Panglao Island); Alona Resort (or Alona Kew), Pearl Resort, Bougainvilla Resort, Bohol Beach Club, Calypso Resort. Try White Beach (Puerto Galera). El Nido, Palawan. Cumigan Island (off northern Mindanao, near Gingoog). Siargao Island (ends of the earth here, you catch a ferry from Surigao City, northeast Mindanao); Eddies Beach Resort, Cherinicole Resort, La Luna Island Resort. And Boracay.

Except for Puerto Galera, bring someone. Or, make Westy happy and bring: Someone (s).Thanks to all for the advice on nice places to stay near the beach. Once I pick one and visit I'll be sure to add a trip report.

Sounds like you'll be spending more time in taxis and the dreaded Manila airports than anywhere else. Good luck. That depends a lot on where he's staying and the places he wants to visit, doesn't it? If he stays in Makati around Greenbelt or Burgos for example then he will be fine.

Thanks RR,

Hope to find out if anyone has good contacts in Sipalay and Manilla.

Have started working on DIA contacts.

After following the forum for some time. I understand that it is good to try, though not a guaranteed project =(.

Appreciate all advice, please PM numbers if available.

Much obliged, Vic.

Hi Mogwai,

I have found a hotel at 100 m from LA Cafe.

But I hope to do diving during the day in Sipalay (south Negros), then trying the bar at night. I hope.

Will be getting the fake Viagra to assist my little brother just in case the diving is too exhausting.

Vic.

Dear masters and gurus,

I just found out that Sipalay (near Dumagette) is pretty dead for choice of girls.

Toying with idea of inviting PL and DIA contacts to go with me.

My following of forum advice gives me the impression that bringing a girl to a beach dive site could be a terrible idea.

Any advice from Monger divers with experience to such situations?

Much obliged,

Vic.

Thanks to this forum, I was able to use the seaplane to and from Manila. What a time saver and a pleasant way to travel! Manila to Puerto Galera via AirTrav, 7000 php. Puerto Galera to Manila via Air Juan 6000 php. Reserved on their websites, using credit card, was seamless. Flying back to Manila, we could see the SLEX traffic below heading north, absolutely jam packed. Couldn't help thinking: suckers! The AirTrav plane was newer but the service was the same on both airlines, 10/10 rating for both.

Rented a bike in Sabang for 300 php and had a blast exploring. Rate is good from 8 am-6 m. This is a definite must-do. Google the sites to see and away you go.

Took a FL from Big Apple, 1000 php. She was 35, a bit crazy but got the job done. The next night she wanted to see me again and stood outside my hotel room at the Big Apple banging on the door, begging to come in. Nuts. Never barfined anybody, but visited almost all of the bars. The general quality of the girls here is below AC or Burgos, but hot ones are around. Not very many hot FL's. If you want a hot girl, I suggest to go early to the bars to beat all the Koreans and Chinese to the punch. They are here by the 100's.

Sabang generally is a s* hole, the beach is disgusting. I could see and smell raw sewage draining out of pipes that were going down to the direction of the beach, draining out onto the sand. They are working on a new sewage treatment system and plant to fix it all.

Big Apple is a great place to stay. The room (at the front) are pretty tired and the mattress is a 3" thick piece of foam on wood slats. Who cares. Having the bar there is great and the food is decent. The Pacquaio fight was fun to watch in the packed bar.

Had to pay a guy 50 php upon arrival at the pier in Sabang. In hindsight, I think it was a scam. It was apparently for an Environmental Fee and he gave me a little colored piece of paper for proof. Can anybody confirm this?

If you are still there, a lot of the waitresses in the restaurants in the walkway between the Big Apple and the main road freelance after hours. Some were quite pretty.

The fee is payable at both Sabang and Battangas. I think it's only for non residents.

Much obliged,

Vic.There are girls online in Duma city and region. Fil Cupid is better than Pina Love as you can drill down to city level not just province. Girls will happily bus in for an hour or two to be with you for a couple of days.

If you want to import from further afield e. G. Cebu or manila, factor in breaks or a few days each per girl. I took a great girl for 2 weeks and by the end of it we were ready to kill each other. Far too long. See my reports on holidaying with a Hooker for details and a list of things to watch out for.

I will see with FC about getting to bring someone to Sipalay.

Since I am there only for 3 days. I guess we can stay friendly.

Thanks again,

I am feeling, not well, as they say here so I planned to call my USA Doctor tonight for a possible prescription. Post nasal drip and coughing like crazy for two weeks now. So I went to mercury drug store and asked how they wanted script delivered in case I got one. Surprised me to learn there is a law here that pharmacies can fill scripts only written by Philippine doctors. My doc at home did give me a travel pack of a variety bag of prescription drugs just in case but this illness is something I am not loaded for. BTW I use this doctor because he is great and I pay him to be on retainer for me. I don't have any idea where to turn to find a competent doctor in Cebu. Any suggestions, I am not interested in being given a bunch of tests to pad someones pocket.

Did they tighten up regulations?

Surely you can find a smaller pharmacy that will still help you out. Money talks in that corrupt hell hole.

In Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, etc. , you can still rock up and get any pill you want over the counter with no prescription at all.

Probably you can just ride it out anyway. Most colds and all flu infections are viral, which means antibiotics won't help with them at all. No way to know if it is bacterial unless you do a test. That can't be done over the phone. Most doctors where you are will be too lazy or unequipped to do it, but they might write a script for antibiotics anyway. Most likely scenario you just need lots of rest, drinks lots of fluids, take over the counter pain pills if it gets unbearable. That's assuming it's a cold or flu.

AirTrav arrives on an island nearby and I just asked the security guard to get me a boat directly to Sabang. It showed up 5 minutes later. The trip took 15 minutes maybe to Sabang.

Departing via Air Juan, I had to get a tricycle to the Sandbar, it took maybe 15-20 minutes to get there.

.....They did tighten on antibiotics a while ago, not tio say that you still cannot get them OTC but sometimes you have to try a couple places.

Calais also sometimes needs to try a couple pf places to get. It is as much a matter of the attitude behind the person at the counter as anything. I have been getting it one place, thyen could not once but was able the next time.

She wrote three scripts for me, cost for the visit was 700 php scripts were another 1350 which I was very happy to pay, This was as a walk in and waited about 40 minutes to see Doctor.

I am chatting with a girl who needs 25000 pesos she says for a job in Saudi Arabia. If anybody is interested pm me. I can just give you her name in DIA and after that you can chat with her and see. She said she is already offered a job. This conversation happened because I told her I will be in Manila in April and she said she maybe in Saudi by then. I was not going to pay the whole amount but part of it for fun which she agreed. You negotiate on your own. This is off-topic for Manila Hotels so moving to "General info".

You need to be very careful about the fees these girls are discussing.

The POEA is very strict about recruitment agencies ripping off OFWs and women who try to short-cut the system are usually the ones who are caught out.

There are placement fees and processing fees.

The placement fee must not exceed one month of the proposed pay for the OFW.

The processing fees can run from 8000 - 12 000 php (medicals, paper work etc etc) but an acquaintance of mine paid only 3000 php for work in SIN just last week.

If you plan to "donate" cash to a woman for work abroad, ask questions about the break-up of the amount she says she needs. You might end up helping her avoid being ripped off. Filipinos are experts at ripping money off their countrymen.

Google "placement fees for OFWs" or "processing fees for OFWs" and follow the FAQs. Many of these women need help to navigate the sharks who prey on the desperate.

Example: https://www.ofwguru.com/guides/how-much-does-it-cost-to-become-an-ofw/

The way your first post was written it was assumed you are looking for a low level girlfriendly hotel to keep your girl from provinces and possible get another girl from Manila. Why else you want a girlfriendly hotel? Anywhere in the world if you book a room for two you and your girl can stay together except Saudi Arabia maybe (never went there). If you are just staying with one girl register her along with you and nobody will say anything. If she is coming to Manila and hoping to get a job in Dubai she needs to pay agency fee of roughly 25000 pesos. Maybe she is hoping you will help her. Her earned money possibly vanished.

I am chatting with a girl who needs 25000 pesos she says for a job in Saudi Arabia. If anybody is interested pm me. I can just give you her name in DIA and after that you can chat with her and see. There are fees for requirements (which I never understand) and the government asks they pay up for some seminar etc POEA I think (I helped a lady recently and was less than 1000 pesos). So if 25000 either she is ripping you off or is being taken advantage of (not surprisingly the pinoys in Saudi screw over their own very happily).

Try Saudi I love the place and easy to get a girl into the room. Trust me I know as had a few pinay nurses in my time who e more scared of going back to my compound then a nice hotel.

Including passport, visa fees, agency fee, certain government fees etc. Couple of years ago I went with my GF at that time to one of those agencies on Mabini street. She had a passport and certificates for a nursing assistant job. She was interviewed right away and offered a job in Saudi Arabia. Pay was $500 a month and free accommodation and transport to work. And contract for two years and flight ticket round trip. Initially I told the girl to go in and talk herself and after she got the job I wanted the breakdown of 15000 pesos the agency wanted. They did write it down. Do not know where it is now. I was ready to give 15000 and the girl wanted to ask her family first before committing. She went back to the province. Her family dissuaded her and she backed off. I am still in touch with her but not seeing her. In between she met a foreigner and has a baby with no child support. Guy vanished into thin air. Now she regrets having not taken the job.

I would not go to Saudi Arabia for mongering trip. Dubai is better although I do not like the chip on their shoulders. I like down to earth girls.

Anyone has had experience with this lady?

She is asking for 4500 P, then I bargained 1500 P, then 600 P to come meet in Bacolod.

It was an interesting chat.

I told her that I would just send 600 P, a one way trip according to her by bus, and would pay her a taxi fare to go back to San Carlos.

Any advice?

But nice cute girl on Viber. No pinay love account because "phone not enough space for app" she said BTW that she found me on pinay love. A lot of belong I guess.

In Kuwait found one in freezer, in Saudi all sorts [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) and then shared to family members, or no sleep (or very short hours), no days off, and the agency will cut the agreed salary by 50% (which is illegal but they no clue) and the agency has pinoys who screw them over. Lots more I have heard and seen. I have helped a few when asked as they have no mobile and through their friends they find ways to escape, some die in the trying as fall from balconies. All sorts and is why I tell all pinays never be a DH in the Middle East unless is western family (IE native western not Arab American).

Vic.An airconditioned bus from San Carlos to Bacolod should not cost more than 100 -150 P.
A bus without airconditioning (which they often prefer) even less.
For comparison: an airconditioned bus from Manila (Makati) to Angeles is only about 150 P, and that is even a greater distance.

Furthermore I think 4500 P is quite a lot for a 'provincial' girl from Negros. That's for LT I suppose?

All in all it sounds like a scam to be honest. Or she's just trying to get the most out of an ignorant tourist (no offense).

The amounts of money she is asking for are off-based, too much. OTOH to make the girl's case, she is traveling away from the fam to meet someone new; there are difficulties and dangers involved for the girl. To go further than Mog's, I would assume the girl is staying with you for several days / nights at that price. These kinds of send-money-bring-girl-first-time often go south, where after the money is sent, the girl makes every excuse at the last minute not to get on the bus.

Consider to proceed as such: Tell her you will send her 500 for travel (that's enough for aircon bus + foods if needed while she is on the road; the bus often stops here and there for potty break + food). You will again pay her for return travel when her time is completed. You will also give her the remainder of whatever money previously agreed upon at the morning of her departure (say, 5 k or 6 k, etc) .

VH, will PM you.

Any advice? Vic.How lonely do you have to get to do this? Why do stories like this sound insane? And, why do guys keep doing it? Last January, in Naval, Biliran to take the Juan Air flight to Cebu, when it arrives and passengers coming into Biliran all leave except one guy who's just standing there, looking around, and trying to make calls on his phone. Initiating conversation, it comes out he's from Philadelphia, is there to see a girl he met online, and he's never been to the Philippines. And, he came all the way to Biliran, a province in the middle of nowhere, and at a time when a typhoon just took the bridges out (hence no van-van to Tacloban). Amazing. We gave him name of a hotel, and boarded with him still standing there.

My MO is to never, ever, send any amount of money whatsoever to anyone before I have met them. It has served me well. If they can't scrum up 500 php (as you say) to get to where I am then it is a no-go. If you do send it, you must plan on never seeing the money or the girl again. Then if it happens you won't be disappointed!

I have girls come to me by tricycle in Manila and I pay the driver when they arrive. From another island? Then I say they have to pay their way to where I am or it is a no-go, simple as that.

P500 is small and I suggested it as it won't keep VH up at night if he loses it. However I will disagree with province girls being able to scrum p500, that might be out of the question.

I am with you on the tryke. I give round-trip jeep fare (once I know where she's coming from, its easy to calculate), nothing more.

From another island? Never for a new girl. Girls must be broken in several times on their own island before I allow travel. Even then, I buy the ticket, don't send the traveling girl money to buy the transport. Many province girls won't stay at a hotel in their hometown with a foreigner for fear of the community finding out. I stay at a nearby town (Like VH is doing) and bus her over to me. I think VH has set himself up in a weak position by not bringing his own entertainment. One doesn't go to the province away from Luzon / Cebu just to meet a new cutie and bring her to a different city.

Now that we have beat the hell out of 600 pesos. The price of a good meal plus 100 peso tip.

Why would a girl just take enough pesos for a one way ticket and possibly get stranded? 600 sounds fair for a round trip including meals and taxis.

If you can't afford to risk 600 pesos then don't do it.

Why would a girl just take enough pesos for a one way ticket and possibly get stranded? 600 sounds fair for a round trip including meals and taxis.Don't confuse your logic or psychology with the pinay's. The reality is that they do it routinely (bus / jeep + foods for travel from province to province). Many of my provincial regulars (just look at that PG) do it every time (and they were glad to do it the first time). Many girls express your skepticism at first, but almost all fold when I tell them its my way or the highway (all have asked for the entire amount up front. Travel money + her nightly gift).

Main reason she might take enough pesos for travel with the possibility of getting stranded? The opportunity to walk away with the agreed-upon overnight amount in the morning (1-4 weeks wages in the province) + return travel. In the logical mind of most of us, that might not sound appetizing if we were the girl. I have discovered over the years that my thinking is so oddly in opposition of how pinay think, that its better for me to ignore what I think and just keep going with what works (not what I think might work).

Dear G,

You are right to speak about the insanity which is triggered by little head, not big head.

Being a working trip, I was just doing "checking the ground contacts".

I agree with you that if it is too good to be true, it is.

I feel sad with the guy, I hope he manages to to find some action in Biliran. In spite of all. VIC.

How lonely do you have to get to do this?

Then I say they have to pay their way to where I am or it is a no-go, simple as that.Easier said than done. I have sent money all the time for travel from the provinces by bus and ferry. Some I have sent flight ticket and money for trip to airport plus incidentals like food, clothes. Except for one girl who stiffed me 500 pesos rest kept their word. It is true if meeting for the first time you need to write off money till she shows up. But if you really want to get in her pants you need to take chances. There is no myway or highway. Even if the girls are desperate spending money and meeting a stranger who maybe a dirt bag in not on their agenda.

Other side of the coin is these girls do not have seed money. This is the only reason they want to come And spend time with you. Not for love or bragging rights. Some nearby girls may have enough money for the trike which is cheap and will try hoping for a bigger payoff.

Have you ever wondered why first thing the girls asks is food? This is because they have not eaten since they started getting ready. Sometimes it takes whole day of Jeepney, bus, jeepney to get to your place. Food is first on their mind not sex.

Sometimes it takes whole day of Jeepney, bus, jeepney to get to your place. Food is first on their mind not sex.If I ever do a plane ticket I use the credit card so if they bail I can get the cost back. Some will borrow the fare from relative and neighbours but at times the monger is not there and they are stuck. And have to repay. Heard that a few times.

Much depends on trust and experience with the girl. Favs of mine outside the main cities I know won't do a runner. Newbies am careful with unless recommended by a friend. But don't send 50% with the promise of the rest when turn up as that has led to the monger not paying the fare. Again she is stuck as come cheapskate thinks he can save a few pesos (500-1000 usually).

Some will arrive and will eat first as need energy for the night ahead as they know we horny LOL.

But generally be careful as everyone says. However as 500 pesos is $10 and if you can't afford to lose that after paying maybe thousands to get there then you should not be in the Philippines as you are a cheapskate IMHO.

The thing that annoys me is how each ISG posted photo now opens individually into its own window. Rather bothersome if you ask me especially when a post contains several photos of the same girl or different girls and I might want to toggle back and forth for comparison.

Many Thanks, G.I can give you some input in comparing HCMC to AC & Manila. I spent a week in HCMC, 2 years ago, and I have been to the PI (AC & MNL) multiples times.

I found HCMC much tougher ground to monger than the PI. In the PI, it is very clear to me that if you have money and are willing to spend it, you can find poon everywhere. In HCMC, it's a bit tougher as I found out. The language is a serious issue, very few folks speak any English, and people are constantly trying to scam you. Also, the culture in HCMC appears to demand discretion, making the language issue even worse. Finally, I am over 60 and the culture in HCMC appeared to be biased against older folks. I had a wingman who was over 70 years old and he quickly gave up on the scene. Luckily for him, he enjoyed being there, having served in the war. He was so excited to be back after nearly a 40-year absence that he ended up staying a month there, visiting all the neighborhood he visited during the 60's. He also took me to the war museum.

As for me, I never gave up and half way through my week there, I discovered Buy Vien. I quickly checked out of my 5-star hotel in D1, and got a room in the BV area. After that, it was "LE repot du guerrier" as the French would say. In other words, I had a ball the rest of the way.

I am with Mog's.

VH, will PM you.I agree, but I must say, I never hold it against these ladies when they make such outrageous requests. One of Murphy's Laws is, "It's morally wrong to allow a sucker to keep his money. " LOL.

The best advise I can give you is to collect AS MUCH information as you can in the Vietnam forum BEFORE you go there. Don't go there unprepared or only half prepared because you will spend most of your time in your hotel room figuring out on internet where the action is. And getting around in HCMC is a real PITA, comparable to Manila.

I can give you some information by PM if you want but it's probably dated by now.

Having a paid subscription should avoid ads and banners.I doubt you will get an answer but it wouldn't surprise me if it has something to do with the move to the new host in the Netherlands. They had some technical problems with that (eg. the photo gallery) and given the long down times for maintenance every day I think they are still experiencing problems.

The FAQ clearly shows a paid-up subscription should have no ads. If the new Admin has changed this policy (his prerogative obviously), he should announce it.

Question of how much I will pay for virgin came up.

First thing, how much is the market price?

Second, how in the world does one verify the virginity?

All you need to do is avoid the "official" ports of entry i.e. Airports and Seaports.

In other words, find a ship willing to drop (and pick-up) on any of the islands in the Philippines.

Is it possible to not get an entry or exit stamp on your passport? Some times the country of origin may not affix stamp in the passport in exit time; that don't make any problem for the arriving immigration. No question arises. But definitely being stamped in passport in entry time by any immigration.

Depends in the source. It's not a market I dabble in but I have come across a few girls in various places. Cherry bargirls have said their prices are 50 to 100 k. I believe the bar generally gets half. I also was chatting to a Cebuana who said she gave hers up to a foreigner for some bullshit promises only. Apparently he fucked her three times then disappeared. True or not, who knows, but she was so bitter and twisted I tended to believe her.

As I said, I'm not an expert in this market and these are just comments I've received. Other guys may have more accurate costs from transactions they have actually gone thru with.

The only verification is her word. Good luck on a refund if it's bullshit. Scams abound.

I'm not going to get into why someone would spend that much to find a totaly inexperienced girl.

Enjoy, G.

Hi friends,

Chatting with a girl for the future trip.

Question of how much I will pay for virgin came up.

First thing, how much is the market price?

Second, how in the world does one verify the virginity?

Vic.Market price depends on the girl. Just ask her how much she wants and then go from there. I have had few before paying 20000 pesos. They are from the provinces as far away as Mindanao. Couple from dating site and others from contacts. I usually fly them into Manila and spend a week with them. Some have turned up to be repeats. Actually I am talking to a girl in Cebu who claims she is a virgin. Do not know how it will end up. In Angeles it is a racket. Going rate I heard is anywhere between 50000 to 100000 pesos. I would not do that.

How to confirm before? Cannot do. Best thing is you will know once you do the deed. I have done before in my younger here in USA when I was young and of course no payment. I made it a special day for them getting a room in a nice hotel, flowers, candies, romantic dinner. They enjoyed it.

In Philippines it is hard to find except some ugly ones. In Angeles I had barfined a girl advertised as virgin. She confided in me in private saying she is not a real virgin and we had lots of fun. She said she did not like to fuck lots of men and that is only way to do that. She said the bars do not bother checking. She was a very pretty girl. Another time I barfined another pretty virgin and while fingering found out she is a real virgin. She said the same. She was willing to give it to me if I would support her sending money every month for her studies and expenses. She wanted 10000 per month and get out of the bar.

I would not do that..The 20000 is what I have heard from a few. One was 25000 with a westerner but the others were Korean and Japanese. But as Sammon says, the price rises in the cities plus if there is a cousin / friend / fixer the 50-100 range is easily possible and that tends to be the market for Koreans and Japs. I know 2 who were paid that (but I also know another who got paid that she said for a Trike Patrol session or two so which would you prefer?

Generally I prefer no virgins just easier and less drama (well potential drama) and those prices put me off. I have had but then I did not pay.

And when I was younger I did as Sammon did sometimes (but not always LOL).

Firstly, are your posts screened my moderators? If they are posted live Admin probably won't see this. I did try to PM Admin3 saying that his reply to MT was incorrect (I get 3 pop ups per login) but he, Admin3, has PMs disabled.

Quick question - 2 wk trip. Going to Sabang. Maybe 7 days or so. After that have been thinking about Angeles or just stay in manila. Pros / Cons.

Will have to stay day in Manila when arrive (arrive 6 pm too late to get to Batangas & ferry) and then trip from Sabang to Angeles (5 hours if lucky. More like 6/7) so will break up and stay in Manila.

Considering I have 2 wks and with above schedule will spend 2 nights in Manila. Any point to go to Angeles for 5 days (also thinking about trip back to manila for airport).

I know Angeles is cheaper. Would like to go to Angeles to cross off list. Manila to Angeles 2 hrs to??5 hours if unlucky.

Ideal would be to fly from Australia to Clark and then do trip in reverse. Got a business flight from Aust for $2200 to manila early Dec so pretty good value.

Ideal response would be. Nothing you can get in Angeles you can't get in Manila at approx same price and quality.

Appreciate.

Sorry for the non ideal answer but both quality and cost are higher in Manila at the top end. Mid to low end it's the same.

Sabang to AC by road is an all day affair. You might want to look into flying Juan Air or AirTrav. Much more civilised.

I do not know if all immigration offices are not stamping passport. It's becoming more and more unusual for immigration to stamp passports.

My trips in and out of Australia (twice in 2018; once already in 2019) I used the Smart Gate and there was no stamp.

I just returned from a few days in HK and they don't stamp either; you get a duplicate copy of your arrival card plus a small 2 cm by 2 cm slip of paper (the visa) and a short lecture not to lose it before you exit.

Of course, Phils still stamps foreign passports in and out.

It's becoming more and more unusual for immigration to stamp passports. SNIP Of course, Phils still stamps foreign passports in and out.Last year, I visited the Intramuros office to extend several times. On previous trips to the BI to extend, the extension was not a stamp. I got a small sticker, about 1 x2", looks like it has some metalic foil on it, placed right next to the inbound stamp. The sticker shows the new extended date.

However last year my first visit to BI Intramuros did not get that sticker. I got a paper receipt, approximately 3 x9". It looks a bit like the grocery receipt you get when buying at the grocery store. It shows office location, name, fees paid, and new visa departure date. It was paperclipped into the back of my PP. I inquired, where is the metalic sticker? "We ran out last month. Don't lose that paper receipt. Its your extended visa. You will need to show that when you depart the country". Got it. Not terribly happy with that, as it might get lost. Hey, BI guy, what happens if it got lost, when I am departing? "Its OK. Immigration officer will have it on their computer". So, I didn't really need to save it. And if you extend there several times, you will get several of those paperclipped into your PP.

Two months later, in the province, I went to extend again. Those nice people had the metalic sticker and placed it in my PP next to the inbound stamp. Later, back in Manila and departing thru NAIA, I had paper receipts paperclipped in the back of my PP. The outbound Immigration lady never bothered to look at the receipts. She swiped my PP, looked at the metalic stamp, stamped, and I was quickly on my way, in-country for many months.

OK. In the Netherlands they have never stamped Dutch passports as far as I know. It makes no sense to me to stamp the passports of your own citizens.Only that it gives you a quick reference to your own travels in / out of the country.

I reckon movements are still monitored. Biometric passports are scanned. Israel has visiting edge technology to monitor Palestinians crossing the checkpoints but relies on personal inspections at Tel Aviv. I know a naughty American who gets pulled every time he returns to the Land of the Free as he is obviously on a list. Many years ago, I lost my Thai chit but they could dig up the other half of it when I was leaving Thailand. They want records of all movements, more so and this age of criss crossing data sets. Interesting topic.

You would have got much more help by providing more info than asking the most basic of questions.

If you're still in AC, SM mall is literally 5 minutes walk from Fields. With so many foreigners in town (and the expanding waste line of the average Pinay) moderately large sizes are available. Just have a walk around and look in he various shops.

Unlike Westie, I often find I have to go up 2 or so sizes. I'm a small guy but often have to look for XL to get something that fits.

Enjoy your trip, G.

You will line up up at the normal NAIA immigration queue. They will point out that you have overstayed. Admit you are very sorry but you got tour dates mixed up. Said Immigration will point you to a separate line where you will pay the normal visa extension and express service fees of 3 k. Cash only accepted, no credit cards. You will then stop sweating and proceed to your departure lounge with no record of overstating your visa.

Next time you return there is no need to declare you have ever overstayed.

Enjoy, G.

There will be a note made on your record for every border agent to read when he next checks in anywhere in the world.

It will not matter of course UNLESS he overstays again anywhere. Then it might get interesting.

For me, I would go to Immigration and pay for an extension. You will avoid paying a fine and you can stay on as long as you like in a relaxed state without any worries about what might happen at the airport.

You will also avoid the need to get to the airport to check in extra early to be sure that the long line ahead of you being dealt with for extraneous reasons doesn't prevent you from missing your flight.

Technically I just paid the normal visa extension and priority processing fee. There was no interest or late fees added. I've never been asked on subsequent re entries. That's why I said there was no record if me overstaying. I'd be interested in if my assumption was incorrect.

Of course you are right that the best option is a normal renewal prior to expiry. I only did mine at the airport as I forgot to renew and had only overstayed a couple of days.

Appreciate.Quite a lot of traveling to do with one week in puerto but since 2 K for a flight is not a big deal, I would fly to sabang and then fly to clark. The boat plane can get you to sabang or if you use the airport, its only about an hour away.

No ideal response here. Yes you can get everything and more in manila, but it is spread out a lot more (traffic is mind blowing) and it will cost a little bit more.

Check the expiration date on the back of the load card.

Usually the smaller denominations have a shorter life span.

Also depending on where you purchase your load card, check the expiration date before you buy it.

It is much easier to just add load via the internet a day or so before you travel. Depending upon which service you use, it may cost a little bit extra for the convenience, but it is worth it. It has been many years since I have physically purchased load, as it is much more convenient for me to just add from my laptop or phone.

What is important to remember is to avail the promo, otherwise your load will disappear fast.

This was so long ago, that I don't know if it is still relevant today. But I remember for some reason I wanted to or had to buy a sim card and get load as I exited the airport (can't remember, but probably because I wanted to update a girl or girls I was meeting so that they could get on there way and we could meet faster as opposed to getting to the hotel and then buying my sim and texting the girl (s). Could save me a few hours). I purchased the sim and the remainder of 1000 pesos for load, figuring that it should last me a good part of a week and I could always add load later. Had them install it and add the load, he showed me the balance of 900 something load and I paid him and left. After a couple of days I ran out of load? I know I was texting a lot of girls, but still that was a bit fast. Did some research and found out that when texting different networks, it cost more but at that time it still wouldn't have burned up my load. Also found out that there are sim cards that people sell that steal load. Possible. Came to the conclusion that they sold me load that had a short life (cheaper for them to buy) so my load expired before I used them. All prepaid load now has a validity of 12 months regardless of value. I'm pretty sure that's from activation on a phone rather than manufacture date of the plastic card. I'd expect cards issued at the telco kiosks to be very fresh but yes, in remote areas, it is something to watch for. Previously it could be as low as a couple of days for low value top ups.

https://www.bworldonline.com/smart-globe-implement-1-year-expiry

Girls will often ask what network you are on and give you the corresponding number as, depending on what package you / they are using calls and SMS across networks can be significantly more expensive than intranetwork. SMS on the same network are typically only free or 1 p each. Larger packages do offer free SMS to all networks.

Some things to watch out for: girls love to chat so a meaningless SMS conversation can eat low value load if you are not aware of your pricing; it's very easy to send load to another phone so if a girl is using yours she could be sending your load to hers quite quickly without your knowledge. A.

Generally I've found I use SMS less and less as chat apps like WhatsApp etc become more popular.

Enjoy. G.

I was recently denied entry at Manila airport for being on the blacklist. I was given no explanation or reason and I left on the next flight out. I have no idea how I got on the list as I have no criminal background, never broke any laws during my previous trips and have no problems entering other countries. The only thing I can think of is one of my long term girls that I have cut off recently making some false reports to authorities. Some of those girls probably have my info because I have taken them on trips abroad and in some cases I had to sign forms at immigration to get them out. Can anyone recommend a good lawyer that can help me with this? Is it even fixable? Or should I just forget about Philippines? Thanks in advance for any help.

Is there a way one can find out before boarding the inbound flight is he is blacklisted as such?

I am aware (starting about 1 year ago) that the US outbound airlines might try and stop you from boarding if there might be an issue (they are responsible for returning you from Phils to your starting point if you get the boot). For example, if your PP is near the end of its expiry, and within the 6-month limit for Phils, you might be denied boarding in the US (because the airline is responsible for your deport / return). Also 2 x in the last year a check-in agent (once in US, once in Asia) swiped my PP, took a long look at the computer screen, and informed me that I could not board the outbound flight from US to Phils. Reason: There was no return flight listed on their computer (no phils outbound), and I did not have a pre-approved 59-day visa (their computers caught this). In reality I had outbound flights on other airlines, but past the 30- and 59-day limits. Both agents told me I could not proceed. The first agent, in the US, worked for a major American airline. I mentioned to her that Americans can stay up to one year by repeatedly extending the original 30-day visa to 59-day visas. "Not. Must have a 59-day visa for that". I showed her the (much) later phils outbound ticket on the other airline. "Sorry. You can't board. I am Filipina and I know my country's Immigration laws". She had the look and accent. Well, musta mahal. I asked her to call a supervisor and look thru the Phils Immigration rules. She did just that. She and the super took more than 5 minutes reading the regulations, and they found it. "Aha. There is exception for Americans. Did not know that. You may proceed sir. ". At another airport in Asia I ran into the same thing; had to call a supervisor to help find the correct Immigration rule. Should have asked them for a screen capture of it. In both instances, their computers red-flagged the issue to start.

If computers are this sophisticated, why didn't the airline's system flag something?

When in doubt make life as easy and as simple as possible for airline and immigration personnel and don't rely in their knowledge of the fine points of legislation.

Not care if true just they are pinay and they must be right etc. I know others threatened with the same and no reason was given to them at the airport.

Plenty lawyers around but many have the habit of charging high and doing zero. And you won't find out until you have paid a lot beforehand!

But PM me I know a good one who represents old Manila friends assuming you want to go that that route, he has helped a few old friends in the past including me.

Westies. The 6 month PP rule applies to many countries and if taking a pinay out of the Philippines it is the first thing I ask her. As for US customs not knowing the rules. No surprises there LOL. Some ask and you cans how a return 'ticket' that you buy for around $10 but depends on the airline and how much sophistication the system at check in has. Many I know use this method with the budget airlines whose staff will accept a paper ticket and can't look up the booking but on bigger carriers am not too sure.

The issue with your load is that you were on a casual plan. Your phone is using load just on data pings. The only way to use a prepaid mobile in Philippines is on a "promo".

I only know Globe promos, I suggest something like GOTSCOMBODD90 which you text to 8080.

This text and data promo comes with 2 GB mobile data and texts to all networks valid for 7 days (1 week) – for 90 pesos.

Unless Toronto has business or very pressing personal ties that require entry, I'd just chalk it up to (bad) experience and move on.

Beating the claim is going to suck time, money and perspiration that could be better spent elsewhere. As CM said, there is also the chance that he could gain entry only to find himself subject to a similar trumped up criminal charge.

I truly have no idea what happened. I have no problem staying banned from Philippines. If you don't know why, it might be an idea to write politely to the PH Embassy in your home country, not to contest the case but to ask if they can release why you were prohibited entry, if there is anything you can do about it and if the ban will expire after X years. Most minor immigration bans have a expiry date.

Good luck. G.

I was recently denied entry at Manila airport for being on the blacklist. I was given no explanation or reason and I left on the next flight out..Were you held in a cell with other undersirables? Did they not send you back to where you came from, on your dime, and not "on the next flight"? These issues are important. See, you made no enquiries, no play at Manila Airport and that is B_A_D.

Here is probably happened. I assume you are canuck, that you have an enemy you don't know about there and that enemy knows you go to Phils for Pussy. The enemy reported you to the Mounties who flagged you with the Phil authorities, asking them if there was fire with your smoke? That is how your name was "black listed". (it was actually flagged but the Phils don't care and never reported back to the Mounties.).

I take it your passport is stamped denied entry. Consider getting a new passport.

You could clear this up in Canuck land by finding out from the Mounties if you were blacklisted / flagged and getting them to refund your plane fare. You have to know if you are flagged anywhere else as the enemy probably made out you were in other places too.

If you do get in cleared up in Canuck land, there is no guarantee you can enter the Phils again as efficiency is not their strong card. And you don't want to engage with their legal system.

If you are very sure of your ground, I would approach the Canuck authorities as they probably are keeping an eye on you. You must relax and try to find out who shopped you but you have probably showed your hand to them and they are happy with the result and are planning their next move against you.

In case anyone wants to criticise the above, I am deadly serious. And: The Philippines is one of the slackest places so be careful. I feel it important to find out if it is only the Philippines. Unlike the others, I am pointing the finger to Canuckland (gut feeling and other stuff I won't go on about).

..... Most minor immigration bans have a expiry date.

Good luck. G.http://www.immigration.gov.ph/images/ImmiAdminCircular/AdminCircularNO.%20SBM-2014-001.pdf

Since entry was denied at the airport it must be one of the minor offenses otherwise they would have arrested Toronto on the spot and he would have discovered that prison is not more fun in the Philippines at all.

I see two options, forget about the Philippines and find another mongering destination lots around, or look into having the ban lifted.

Even if just out of curiosity, I'd look into what happened so I could possibly avoid this sort of problem here or elsewhere in the future.

Fact. He arrived at Manila airport immigration and was turned back. He had something in the Philippines file that he was undesirable and was sent back via the airline he came on. He did not state where he came from. It could have been a mistaken identity. He did not find out what it was. Once you are refused entry you are taken to a holding place until the next arranged departing flight is ready for you to board.

He did not find out what it was. Once you are refused entry you are taken to a holding place until the next arranged departing flight is ready for you to board.I have quoted him below not only to show that I am right and you are wrong but to reiterate.

1. I suggested he use his time in detention / being questioned to get any granule of information as it would be gold dust. The key thing is why was he flagged and from where. My hunch is it was Canucks who did him in but without further information it is hard to be sure. He missed a golden opportunity by not trying to get a nugget.

2. It is not a mistaken identity. They have his unique passport number, name and date of birth and they were what was flagged. Pedro Morales. Male - born - 1911- Passport number. Country of Issue Mexico. They type up Mexico and the number and out pops Pedro's details. If Canada gave the same number some other dude or dudes would pop out. So no way to make a mistake.

3. he has no evidence it was something in his Philippino file. It could very easily have been the Canucks asking the Pinoys to answer a query. If a serious charge was made against him in Canada, the cops there would have to follow it up for their files. Again, he has to try to find clues, any clues, so he is not shooting in the dark with Internet fools shouting in his ear.

4. Automatically being sent back from where you came is not always the way it works. He could have been given a choice of where he wants to fly. And, either way, it would be on his dime.

5. His failure is in not trying to get information at Manila airport as any granule go there would be gold dust. I am repeating that for his benefit, not for yours as I don't rate you or your "contributions" at all.

6. The fact he signed forms (stating what?) may be important, as might be where he brought his girlfriends (plural). Most of the women we meet would be trouble.

7. This case is important as someone did him in and it is important for all serious players to know why and how. It is another indication to be wary of these ladies. However, without knowing the calibre of the women in question, one cannot jump to conclusions, except to remember the motto: we pay them to leave.

8. On a personal level, this again just confirms my tactic of using the instructions on my prostitute tin: find them fukk then, pay them, forget them.

Were you held in a cell with other undersirables?

Consider getting a new passport..

In fact I just travelled to several other countries including the us using my nexus / global entry access. There are no stamps in my passport denoting the blacklist. I simply had to pay for a night in the transit hotel and flew out the next morning. No holding cells, just a guy who escorted me around when I wanted to go eat and such. I tried to ask politely what the reason behind the blacklist was and the immigration officials simply ignored me. Like I said, no big deal. I travel around anyway so if anything this will allow me to see more of the world since I had allocated a good chunk of travel time to Philippines. Thank you everyone for your input. Oh and no I did not have to pay for my flight out. And I flew in from another country in Asia as I was traveling around. I obviously had no troubles getting back into that country or the other countries immediately after.

1. As you were not scheduled to fly out on the plane you flew out on, you should have been charged a change of flight fee for that.

2. You failed to find out who blacklisted / flagged you and why.

3. You may have no legal trouble in Canada but it is possible someone has trouble with you and ratted you in. You must find out who grassed you up.

4. Did they give you a copy of anything you had to sign as, per a PDF attachment to an earlier post, that would give you an indication of the category you fell under.

5. On the very limited information you gave, it was probably one of the Pinays or their relatives but, as you give only very general, not specific information, advice can only be very general and of not much use.

6. The Pinoy Embassy in Canuckland won't care about this and are not worth contacting. Nor are lawyers in Pinoyland.

7. Your only hope for progress would have been if the Cancuk cops had been involved. If they are not, better not to approach them.

8. The key thing for me would be to find out if there is a grass in Canuckland or wherever you hang out. For the rest, write iot off and don't bring hookers overseas ffs.

I was given no paperwork and signed nothing. I gave general info because I myself have no clue what happened. I have no problems in Canada unless speeding ticket counts as trouble. Why had you not got to pay for the flight change?

So you flew out the next day? Were you kept in a holding cell? Did you exchange notes / converse with anyone?

Until you can be more specific and narrow down the reason and who may have done you in, there is no hope.

Yes no stamp and I signed nothing, why would I sign anything? In cases like this airlines are responsible and since the immediate return flight was supposedly sold out they simply changed my existing return ticket for the next day. This was obviously not a voluntary change by me and I was never asked to pay. No holding cell, I already explained that I paid for the room in the transit hotel. Who would I exchange notes with? Other guests in the transit hotel? Yes many casual conversations with various people, just not with immigration officials who had no desire to entertain my request to find out the reason for blacklist. Are you satisfied now Pedro?

I had to do similar last year when visiting Malaysia with my GF. I suspect they thought I was might have been trafficking my GF, and that she was going to work overseas for me.

They questioned in great detail how long we had known each other, where we met etc.

I would suspect your Passport details are flagged not on the Canadian side, but on the Philippines side. It could well be that a jealous previous GF has said something to stop you coming back and visiting the competition.

A new passport may not fix that, as it could be as simple as your name and nationality. My boss used to get stopped all the time going into the US, because he shared the same name as an IRA terrorist.

As you were denied entry, I would not have expected you to pay any more for your ticket, the airline get told to sort that out.

Personally, I would not try and go back, it may not be quite as friendly next time.

The Most popular Globe Promo is GOSURF50 = 50 pesos for 3 days all net text +1 GB data.

The Equivalent for Smart is GIGASURF50.

In General if you just get one sim f=go for Smart as between them Smart and Sister brants TNT and Sun have about 70 % of the market whereas Globe and sister brand TM have around 30%. Intra Network calling is the most expensive activity.

Here are some othe Smart Promo codes.

This a post from Manila thread.

The issue with your load is that you were on a casual plan. Your phone is using load just on data pings. The only way to use a prepaid mobile in Philippines is on a "promo".

I only know Globe promos, I suggest something like GOTSCOMBODD90 which you text to 8080.

This text and data promo comes with 2 GB mobile data and texts to all networks valid for 7 days (1 week) for 90 pesos.

https://smart.com.ph/Prepaid/promos/type/dataI use Google Fi. It is a little more expensive but I have one US number that works around the world. I have used in the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Colombia, Peru, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and of course the US. My service is active before my plane finishing taxing. I carry one phone. I don't have to fumble with or reload sim cards. I have US based English speaking tech support. My bill is simple, charged to my credit card It is rarely more than $30 month. Now you can use many phones with the service, but check the site for compatibility or any limitations your phone may have.

It may not be for everyone including penny pinchers or people who don't want Filipinas having your US number. But it is a no-brainer perfect plan for me. If you are interested here is a link that saves you $20 if you sign up. You can just check the link to see the specifics.

I have even seen the idiots in passport control ask a married Dutch couple with kids to sign it (the husband that is) - he was most indignant and totally pissed off with them (and let them know also).

I lean more towards some jealous ex GF as this is the crazy thing they can do as passport control / BI believes her as she is pinay not fact or bother to investigate. Many cases in other areas where this has happened.

Sometimes a new passport is the trick (certainly is in other countries) as many systems work on the passport number but I for one would want to know as you have a legal right to be told and I am a nosey parker LOL.

So I have been reading stories of guys esp expats and guys who do multiple visits to the Philippines getting freebies and having stables of hot girls who they just call up and they come running.

When I went to Cebu I use Pinalove with little success. Started about a month before lining up acquaintances and doing the ground work. 95% were time wasters who promised a lot but wouldn't show.

Now I appreciate if you are based there than yes this is possible as many girls see you as possible ticket to financial freedom but some posters seem to say all you have to do is point and they will fall over themselves to satisfy you.

So given I have had 3 trips to the Philippines and am pretty presentable I didn't find girls fighting to get me into bed. Walking around Ayala Mall I only had 2 occasions when girls would give me the eye and a conversation would start. I am definitely not shy and believe I have a pretty good "game" as some websites would have you call it.

So what's the go? Is this all big noting BS? Is it just a case of more experienced mongers or Ex pats just relaying their stories which have taken years to establish this sort of network?

For me from the West prices are rock bottom compared to here so I don't mind paying but it seems attractive as the reports seem to tell about semi pros who I have had better experiences with.

Many repeat visitors, myself included, find weeks or months of pre work online a total waste of effort. I don't even send a message now until I'm sitting in a hotel in PH.

In many ways mongering is just like courting back home. A lot of the guys' success depends on who he is targeting and if he acts appropriately. Yes, hookers will meet up at the drop of a hat but civilians may take a couple or multiple dates before anything happens.

No disrespect intended but your post reeks of desperation and girls can smell that from miles away. This often leads to over charging, underperformance, a general Princess syndrome or even outright rejection. It may pay to go for someone more professional or even lower your standards upon arrival just to get rid of the deer in the headlights look that everyone arrives with. You can then just relax and get on with the job in a relaxed manner. I always seem to gave the best encounters late in my trips, when the pressure is off and I'm not desperate to bed any girl that says Hello.

See below for some of my experiences online. I'm reasonably active online so feel free to search through my posts for success and failure stories.

Enjoy and good luck. G.

Anything that I should be doing. When you read posts of guys having multiple girls at their beck and call 24/7 for no money you get a bit suspicious. To answer your entire post I would have to sit here and pretty much type a handbook out. Although I love to share my experience, I am not sure I am ready to sit here and type out an entire handbook at this time.

But to get to the point, nothing is ever for free. You have a motive, she has a motive, what we are playing with is the time between your first meet, and the time it takes for her to unravel her plan. Basically you are taking advantage of her set up time, to achieve your objectives. Once she gets to the point in her plan where you have to make choices, well you have to either make choices or scheme to lengthen things out. So yes, in a sense it is free, but no one is that selfish, we do things for them, buy them things, just to feel less guilty about what we are doing, its human nature.

What I can offer you is this: you have to have a very specific objective, only then will you be able to target what you want. If you have a very specific objective, pm me, and I can give you some options.

I suppose what I have gleamed both from your responses and my observations is that there are 2 main types of mongers just like our sessions with the WG's. LT and ST.

LT' ers have the time to invest in the intricacies of ground work & hunting. Building rapport and a sort of friendship with the girls and developing a relationship that long term will bring mutual benefit. Both parties know they have a consistent supply of what they want (men = sex, girls = money) even though for the later it may be at a reduced rate. Both parties subscribe to the bird in the hand analogy.

ST'ers do not have the time to invest in developing these long term mutually beneficial relationships and as such must bear the cost and ebb and flow of the mongering lifestyle.

Totally agree with Mr Gof that it appears social networking of the girls is most important re referrals and reputation and spending time on those dating sites in my experience is of little use although his comment about desperation did make me chuckle somewhat. All good.

Very soon I will have my 4th trip to KL where I feel quite comfortable. Maybe I should keep in touch with the girls I meet rather than scrubbing them from my phone due to possible complications with my SO at home.

Maybe then too in the future I may be able to speak about my harem of go to girls.

When you read posts of guys having multiple girls at their beck and call 24/7 for no money you get a bit suspicious.I just spent two months in the PI and split my time between pros, non-pros and semi-pros. I spent a month in Makati doing nothing but non-pros and semi-pros. I was really trying to stick to non-pros but sometimes you don't know which they are until after you get them into bed. It was a BIG investment in time and I invested a lot of time in a few girls I could not get into bed. One very hot hot hot girl after spending the day together for lunch and then dinner, coming over my apartment, taking a shower, putting on my t-shirt and getting into bed with me would not put out. She eventually told me she had some chump Japanese BF who showered her with support and never wanted sex and that was what she was looking for LOL. After that I was ready to pack it in and head to AC and then I met a 20 why / o horny college GND type who came over every day for 'lunch' while her Aunt (who she was visiting in Manila) was at work. She never asked for for money until after I return to the US and I had to change her designation from non-pro to semi-pro LOL.

So I also got lucky a couple times and found a girl I could get into bed with minimum time investment. One incredible hot 21 year old I met in AC on WeChat (usually which has nothing but pros) literally jumped right into bed with me, spent two weeks with me and never asked for anything and acted like I was a prince when I gave 5 k as an early Christmas present (after sleeping with me for two weeks). I will also say I am very happy to have great sex with a 6 or 7 and tend to avoid the 8's, 9's and 10's and they often just aren't as good in bed and usually take a lot more work to get into bed. The 21 WeChat AC girl was easily a 9, sometimes the universe just smiles on you.

I have read a few reports from guys who do make it sound like there are a ton of girls in the PI who line up to sleep with them for nothing and I suspect from my experiences those guys are exaggerating. They want to stoke their own egos, just like a 14 year old boy who in High School who grossly exaggerates what he does with girls. I have a friend who reports regularly on the Jakarta board and because I know him I know everything he posts is a huge exaggeration. I traveled to Jakarta based on his reports and later his personal advice and while I love Jakarta was disappointed to find out the level of his exaggeration. It ok, he still provided some very valuable advice and I have a lot of fun in Jakarta nonetheless.

So its simple, 90% of Filipinas are good Catholic girls that want nothing to do with a 'pervert'. That still leaves millions of girls that are available with the correct approach. Many non-pros take a time investment that may or may not pay off. If you work the numbers, sometimes you get lucky and find a horny or desperate girl that is willing to jump right into bed with you no promise of anything. Sometimes you might just have great chemistry with a girl. I agree with another poster who correctly states the girls will smell desperation on you and that will greatly inhibit your success. Even with a 'non-pro' understand from her perspective she is playing a scratch off lottery ticket hoping it will pay off. BTW I always found a way or excuse to give a girl some money, be it an early Christmas present, grossly inflated taxi fare or money to buy presents for her kids. I evaluated the 'pro' level of the girl based on how she reacted to this gift.

Interesting. Is there a way one can find out before boarding the inbound flight is he is blacklisted as such?

Also 2 x in the last year a check-in agent (once in US, once in Asia) swiped my PP, took a long look at the computer screen, and informed me that I could not board the outbound flight from US to Phils. Reason: There was no return flight listed on their computer (no phils outbound), and I did not have a pre-approved 59-day visa (their computers caught this). In reality I had outbound flights on other airlines, but past the 30- and 59-day limits. Both agents told me I could not proceed. The last few times I went to the PI (or Indonesia) I did not have my travel plans (past my stays in Manila or AC) planned before I left. I really like just staying until I get bored and then moving on LOL. Before I left home, I have always bought a refundable ticket for onward travel within 30 days, printed the e_ticket and then cancelled. Takes 5 minutes. Every time I left the US, the was required to show (the already cancelled e-ticket) to the gate agent before I could board my outbound flight. I was prepared to show it to immigration entering but was never asked for it. Leaving Singapore on Scoot bound for Clark I was also required to show that (already) cancelled e-ticket. I was just careful not to book it on the same airline thinking the gate agent could not look up the ticket to see if it was still valid, though doubt they would go that far.

The PI remains one of my favorite places in the world and I'd be sad if I could no longer go there. I guess good the allegation was not so serious that you where taken into custody. For me it would be worth it to investigate and see if I could get the ban lifted, at least worth a call or two an a local immigration attorney to ask how much to investigate and possibly fix. There is a facebook group Manila Foreigners Club where you might be able to get some advice on lawyers but be careful, some shady characters on there. Look for an expat who has a lot of valid and useful postings to give you a referral.

Past that good cautionary tale about sharing your info with a local girl. I love taking girls traveling especially to places where local talent is either scarce or costly like Japan. Now I guess I got to rethink that. Also will tighten up on how much info I share with local girls. Its something I have known I need to be more careful about but have gotten sloppy.

Met this Manila girl on Tinder but she was such an obvious scammer my spidey sense was tingling and I declined to meet her. Before I blocked her she started throwing threats that she was have me banned by immigration, get me fired from my job (which is funny as I am retired) and ruin my life. I got the distinct impression this kunt had done this before, but she didn't really have enough information about me.

Anything that I should be doing. When you read posts of guys having multiple girls at their beck and call 24/7 for no money you get a bit suspicious.Part of life is to weed out the bull shxtters.

Free always cost. Most times free is more expensive than the retail price.

People have selective accounting. They forget to add in the other costs.

Reminds me of a broke friend who always wins at the casinos. He would regale about the big jackpots that he would hit and that he always wins at the casinos. Upon further questioning he would acknowledge that he put all the winnings back into the machines and go home broke. To me that is not winning. To him, he always wins at the casinos!

End of the day, he is still a loser.

Why not just cancel once you are in Ph? At least you didn't fraudulently offer 'valid' documents.

I've been reading this forum for a while and used to be an active contributor to the HK section but now live in a place where the mongering scene info is on web sites other than this one.

I will read this forum carefully of course. I'm trying to lay the groundwork for a trip to the Phils later this year. Probably at Christmas. I've never been before and speak basically no Tagalog except maganda. I'll be in a hotel and without a local cell unless you guys tell me to get one.

I'm in my 40's and in ok shape. Which city do I go to for freebies and how do I set them up? Some people swear by online like DIA or FilipinoCupid. Others roam the malls. Would like to hear the opinions of those with their feet on the ground.

I am willing to pay of course, but the seduction of a freebie is a huge part of the pleasure for me.

Long live the Philippines.

I was at a concert in HK once and the lead singer asked are there any Filipinas in the crowd? And a few raised their hands and gave the WOOOOOOOO! Shout. And the singer just said God bless the Filipinas. And everyone knew what he meant. This is why I need to visit.

Just do what you wished you could do at home or anywhere else: start talking to any girl that catches your eye. In the Philippines, you don't have to be fearful of being accused of sexual harassment.

BD.Interesting I had wondered about this. Generally I cancel right away because I'm concerned about forgetting to cancel it and getting stuck with the fare. Also I usually use Orbitz which allows you to cancel most air tickets in 24 hours easily with no charge. To get a regular refundable ticket (up until departure) is often much more expensive which shouldn't matter as long as I cancel. Still I doubt with a long line of passengers waiting to board the agent is going to leave their post to look up anything. I'm more worried about immigration which I guess could charge me with presenting a 'fraudulent' document. Still the risk has to be really small, I have never even been asked for it and don't know if they even have access to those systems.

BD.Expedia, travelocity and other on line booking sites allow free cancel in 24 hours for many trips. I book a ticket, anywhere as long as it can be canceled, just before I get my boarding pass to come here then cancel as soon as I clear customs and immigration. There is a slight danger of getting delayed en route that would make a trip from North America or Europe take more than 24 hours but you can always cancel and rebook on the delay layover.

I just never want to be put in a position to lie to immigration or customs anywhere, even in the developed world you have far fewer rights than you may think you have until the customs and immigration people clear you into the country.

Of course now with an SRRV I don't worry about onward tickets anymore.

Now we have had numerous discourse on the paucity of some part of the Philippine higher education system including comment on never get the girl to do HRM and Tourism courses (I agree). Some know this way better than I do but I have some experience also.

But what about the flight attendant schools who offer it seems a 2 year course to help the cuties be an air hosty? Seems plenty schools around some in the provinces.

I ask as some I have been chatting with say they are going to do this but my initial; reaction is many are too small and don't meet the height qualification let alone is this really a proper education and will it really be recognized by Cebu Pac, Air Asia, or other big carriers. For me the answer is no as the larger carriers (eg Emirates, Cathy etc) have their own recruitment policy and test and would pay scant attention to a 'degree or diploma' from a provincial Philippine establishment.

Maybe others have first hand knowledge but my instinct is to tell them be careful find a proper qualification.

Just asking LOL.

I would ask the school how many graduates get a job with an airline. Not the internship or practical training but a real job. Many PI girls lack the English skills to get a job. Also, Asian airlines sometimes require more language skills. The US granny magnet airlines don't have that language requirement but they don't like non US crew. LOL!

FWIW, many flight attendants I know did not go to technical schools specializing in flight attendancy skills. Sourness is not a requirement in Asia. For some reason many are blessed with pretty faces on top of a tall thin curvy body. Darwinism at work?

I was reading some reports about cp in other threads, but thought I would write a general reply here in the general info. Here are my thoughts:

Have a dedicated phone for your travel adventures, never use your home phone for your interaction abroad. As soon as you get to your place of stay, store it away safely with your passport. Cp's can easily be lost, damaged, or stolen and chances are your primary cp has a lot of apps, contacts, correspondence, and data that would not be good to go missing. It is normally quite expensive, and has a lot of info that you don't want to get public. Very seriously think about getting a dedicated travel phone.

Load all the apps you need on your dedicated phone, so you don't need to pull your primary out to do anything but check stuff back home in private.

A CP in manila is like the status symbol. A cp in PI is like a car back home. Initial impressions of yourself will come from the way you look, dress, speak, reside, and what cp you use. Take careful consideration when selecting your cp.

Absolutely buy a cp that has dual SIM. Preferable dual SIM independent of external storage. Some cp has SIM1 and SIM2/ external storage. It would be best to have a cp that can use both SIM slots and the external storage. It is important to have 2 SIM slots so that you will be able to get 2 cp numbers, 1 in Globe (most popular among girls) and the other in Smart. The reason for this is that texting across networks cost pesos, so some girls will not text you if you are not on the same network. Also depending upon location some networks are stronger or has better LTE which is necessary for wifi. Make sure your cp has personal hotspot so you can use and share wifi.

Obviously a higher status cp would be better, but because it is your travel cp, might not be the best plan to invest a lot into the secondary cp. If you do not view it feasible to invest so much capital into a iphone, samsung or huawei (my personal dedicated travel phone). You can purchase a good phone in manila (not normally available in the US). The girls there can help you select a good phone, they know what is popular and what works well there. Some cps not designed for the US market work better in PI than high end phones in the US. There are cp specifically designed to work within PI. 2 of the most popular cp there are VIVO and OPPO, also I would look at xiaomei. Remember for status symbol cp it does not matter which cp is better, it only matters which cp is perceived to be better or more popular. A copy cp might work if you want to stay economical, the copy samsungs will fool most, but the copy iphones are not that good, you can find class a copies made in Korea or vietnam to be pretty good. Do not buy the China copy phones, as I have not seen any China copy that is any good yet. If you are new, and or need a little help getting started, a status cp can initially help if you are darker skin tone or could possibly be mistaken for a local. If you find yourself not getting much attention you can always pull out your cp and use it, then place it on the table for others to see or create interest by calling over a waitress (use english) and asking her to help take a selfie (the flash will make you noticed).

Make sure to purchase your SIM card in the most current configuration (4 G and LTE) and the correct size. Choose store all info on both SIM and phone or if not able to do both, choose store info on SIM, but occasionally clone SIM to phone, and set up a google, or yahoo account to your dedicated phone and back up data to their cloud. It is very important to keep all your contacts, as they are normally good for many years.

BUY a promo plan. 1 day, 1 week, 15 days, or 30 days, whatever fits your stay, make sure to buy an unli promo plan. The instructions will come with your SiM card, or use the internet, the SIM management app, *143#, or any girl with a cp can help you with the promo. Buy enough load so that you can purchase the correct promo and join ASAP.

Turn on location and start using all of your social media apps, and boom.

That and the height requirement of many carriers would mean many are ineligible for jobs although I read somewhere that Cebu Pacific had lowered the height requirement some time back. If there is very little turnover then your chances of getting a job are slim to none. If there is a big turnover, why would you try to go into it in the first place knowing the chances of you staying in it are slim?

In the US it works differently, where you get a job with the company then they train you. In most countries though, there are schools that you must attend before applying.

If it is one of these situations:

This week announced plans to hire more than 1,000 flight attendants in the next year. And although it received more than 270,000 applications for flight attendant jobs last year.

Then draw your own conclusion.

Go Cathay or other Airbus heavy stables for intraAsia. To say that US domestic is full of these planes is a bit of a stretch. In the two years the 737 MAX has been in production, 350 have been delivered worldwide. To inject some proportion, the Big 3 US airlines { Delta, American and United } all have total fleets well in excess of 1000. Southwest has a fleet of approximately twice the number of total deliveries, all of which are Boeing 737 family. This is not a long haul aircraft, unless you consider US transcontinental, California-Hawaii or the western fringe of Europe to the northeast US as longhaul.

Cathay is a poor example, as they fly zero wide-bodies, but maintain a {proportionally} quite large fleet of Boeing 777 and 787's.

Airbus also had problems with the introduction of the A320 neo {new engine option} approx. 12-18 months ago as the Pratt & Whitney engine version suffered a high rate of in-flight engine shutdowns.

Hello,

I have seen many post about the way to spend holidays with a Phil girl in another country, and some troubles that could arise at customs or police checks when leaving Phil.

I understand that if you pay her ticket and travel together, then police can ask many questions about how long do you know her, why, when, etc.

But I wonder if another scenario is possible.

What if we pay for her ticket, and ask her to travel alone and meet her in the other country, I am speaking mainly about SEA countries, like Cambodia, Bali, Vietnam, etc. ?

Is police checking why she can travel? To meet who? Who paid for her ticket? Etc. Or will she able to travel on her own if she has the right valid passport?

And I experienced also that when you pay for her, with your foreign credit card, there are checkings in the travel company system that could reject your payment for possible fraud (may be suspicion of stolen card) as it happens once for me for a local flight with Cebu Pacific. So inthat case, to avoid that, my idea would be to go to Phil first, buy the ticket with cash and with her to a travel office, and then travel on same flight, but witout showing that we are together, so she will travel on her own, with her ticket and passport.

Do you think this will work?

Do you think its still possible to just pay for ticket from abroad and wait for her at destination outside phil?

Many question there. But your experience will be appreciated.

Get a Smart and Globe SIM if you have a dual sim phone as Sun is the same group co as Smart. OPPO specializes in having a relative good camera fro the price point, its sister company Vivo was initially supposed to optimise sound quality. Both tend to be weak on battery life. Personally I prefer Xiaomi which is good bang for the buck and offers some models such as the Mi Max with outstanding battery life.

Do you think this will work?.Is a lottery as you may have read from earlier posters. IMHO if you with her then better because if alone more chance of offload, especially if she has never travelled overseas before. The is for me is the rule of thumb on this matter.

At the airport you will be asked and then sign a affidavit which is basically useless but sign it which says she will come back etc. I have signed but never taken it seriously.

Have on the phone some photos of you and her, have a back story and if they ask for her Facebook page she says she not have etc as they will look there also maybe to see if you and her are an item.

Sounds complicated as it is a lotter. Never had an issue myself but know countless who have and some single travellers who breezed through.

You can PM me for more details but good luck.

For me these 'schools' are means of conning vulnerable cuties who dream of being an air hostie out of their parents (or mongers) hard earned cash. Lot of promises but little substance. It reminds me of the Beauty Pageants where every girl is a winner; you only have to pay the huge entrance fee. And then the make up fees, and the other fees.

12-18 months ago as the Pratt & Whitney engine version suffered a high rate of in-flight engine shutdowns.787 were grounded for a while.

That was my thought so now to tell her in a nice way as she thinks this is the passport to the world as she has been sold this junk message by the school.

Thanks RK.In most Asian countries, 'air hostess' is a most coveted, glamorous position. In addition to beauty, height and a college degree, applicants may also need to know someone on the inside who can make sure their application gets through. In places like India and Thailand, money also needs to be paid to influence the decision makers. Thai air hostesses are often daughters of senior military officials or politicians. Have you seen these girls with their two-tone, lady Datejusts? Real, not fake.

Emirates first class has two dedicated toilet / shower cleaners onboard the A380. These cleaners are called Cabin Service Assistants (as opposed to Cabin Crew). Their tasks are to manage the shower bookings, explain how the shower works and scrub the toilets, so the rich can crap in a clean place. These girls are paid a third of what cabin crew get, so make about USD $800 a month including allowances. They get reduced flight pay, and have to share their hotel room while away (whereas cabin crew get their own rooms). Their entitlements in Dubai are also a lot less.

The interesting thing is that almost all of theses flying toilet cleaners are Pinays! No one else would the job for so little money. They usually have nursing or hospitality degrees. There is almost no prospect for them to get promoted to cabin crew. I guess they can still fuck rich passengers while in foreign ports and dream of migrating to the west.

Do you think this will work?

Do you think its still possible to just pay for ticket from abroad and wait for her at destination outside phil?

Many question there. But your experience will be appreciated. The chances are stacked against you. If it's your first time to do this, the non-educated province girl is an inexperienced traveller, you are paying her ticket, all of these things are adding to the likelihood that it will NOT work.

What has been demonstrated in the forum is the following:

Men with their pinay GF can and do leave the country together successfully.

Experienced mature girls do leave the country successfully.

I was trying to bring a Filipina to my country, she's smart and educated. Had to help her with her visa application. Even she got stuck very quickly on the immigration questions.

If you do want a Filipina to travel with you, the only proven way is to swing by into Philippines and travel with her.

BD.

That's why girls will proudly announce that they are Ms Environment, Ms Tourism or similar. It's basically just whatever title they could think up for the day.

Korean Air is a good example where hosties are absolute goddesses, many of whom end up marrying first class passengers.

And then the make up fees, and the other fees.Fees for small provincial out of the way pageants were above PHP20000! I was told this many times but someone whose niece was a contestant and was trying o raise cash to pay her gown, shoes, hair, make up, plus other extras like 'how to stand properly'. Could not believe the bola that I was told about why they needed cash for all the different things. After the pinay won Miss World or Universe (not sure of the difference and don't care) Philstar headline was that she had 59 people to support her including an eyebrow plucker person! This is where we need lots of laughing emojis.

And the pressure the parents are under also to find ways and means to pay it. But pageants are a big thing for pinays where many will drool at the pageants on TV and as you said they have so many different titles. The newspapers will proudly proclaim yet another pinay winner is yet another obscure unheard of until now event LOL.

Korean girls without surgery and make up just look like average, ordinary girls.

They've all had plastic surgery to look like that. It's not natural beauty. Korean girls without surgery and make up just look like average, ordinary girls.Never heard that before also. Have flown KAL many times. KAL F-A's all look the same: tall, thin, gawky, legs so long they bow inward at the knees, many are as tall as I am. Average-good faces. Over the years I keep having the same thought: Certainly KAL must able to find *some* lookers, right? I see better looking Korean girls (hotties, really) traipsing around Manila. All the KAL girls have such a similar look that I assume they are chosen based on body type (former tall high school or college basketball or volleyball players who were not able to make the cut at the next higher level).

I google-imaged 'pretty Korean girls' (see pics) and got pics that don't look like KAL F-A's. When I think of pretty Korean girls, I think Momoland, not KAL. KAL F-A's are also well-trained and seasoned, giving great cabin service.
