very good posts. I was reading them carefully from the beginning and wanted to contribute something to this forum about my last trip to Angeles in August, going there again by January/February this year to see my gf.
Went to all the bars and have to say I had more fun chatting to the waitresses at margastation then talking to the dancers in the bars, even I really love the place and meet with my expat friends sad to say, if it comes to looks it was more and more difficult to find somebody, but thts a diffferent story. So, I went by myself to to find some MP places, cause I really like massage and I was on holiday;-)...First I went to a so called 24 hours massage place, near the Phoenix hotel around 1 pm to give it a try, It was quite dark and that was fine, massage wasnt bad, girl in their 27 or so. Well, first and last time for me in that place, so I went to another place very near the place before, I just cross the gas station and saw the massage parlour sign. No girls there, so I waited for the dude there to bring some girls. Unfortunatly it wasnt dark and when I saw the girl I said an excuse and went straight to another place where I went again and again druing my stay in angels city. Its on the right side after you pass Neros in a small gang. To my suprise they MP attendants are all young and not bad looking, from Cebu and davao. I got good massage and had fs with one of them. Prog, I still can't imagine it without you! (ok, I can). Next trip! Thanks again for the "how Angeles fucked up our lives" talk in TJ. It might have helped, but it's still early. I'll know on the 15th about our Thailand trip in September.

This place is amazing. I will not make it out alive.
After getting cleaned up on the 5th, My first stop was Santos street. Shadows. Eight girls have were 6.5 others fives. I bought two girls drinks. Cought a trike back to Neros and I BF'ed her again. Had a couple of rounds and left. Spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool. Spent the rest of the night in the room as we were both a bit hung-over. We went at it for the most part of the night.
I am at ricks cafe typing this as my girl is still in the room asleep. On my next post. I'll try and not get so drunk so that I can give you more details on which bar had the best girls.
General info: Not too many tourists, quite a few girls. At 42, I am amongst the youngest there. On other thing, most of the men in the clubs seemed to not be so happy. Couldn't quite figure that out. Two things: the girls are beautiful and everything is sooo cheap. Whats not to like? Like somebody said here before A bad day here is a good day anywhere else. Will post a better report tomorrow.

Welcome to paradise. It's really hard to believe such a place exist in the world. Have you kept the same girl since you got there? If so, does she know this is your first visit to AC? If this is also the case, then be very careful not to fall for the girl. They are VERY good at making a guy think he's the king of the world and there's no one else but him. Believe me - there always is someone else. If you hold on to her more than a few days she's going to think she has exclusive rights to you. Unless she is rocking your world throw her back into circulation and butterfly some more. In AC it’s okay to be a butterfly as long as you didn't have a girl for more than a couple of days in a row. If you do hold on to her this means you're her boyfriend and she'll spread that information around faster than lightening.
As far as Santos - Black Pearl is my favorite bar there recently. Sonya, the owner/mamasan, is a great lady. Next time you're in there get a business card from her. You can then order in from the hotel.

I went to Blue Nile last night. I guess same ownership as Neros and Cambodia. Again mostly women. I'll bet there were 60 if there was one. The top floor was almost devoid of men. IMHO, whoever said that the women here were not up to par to even warrant a BF must be damn crazy. The average in the looks department in this club was at least 7.5. I got swarmed. I bought a few rounds for three of them. (They were definitely 8's. I also think they were cherry; not sure just a guess.) A girl on the stage cought my eye she was a defacto 9. No moisture - or at least the wrong kind. But it started to get better. Again I started to survey the sights. Again sensory overload. Round three over. I am at Ricks again; I need to roust 9 back at the hotel. A horrible job, but someone has to do it. It's finally sunny today. I think I will spend the day at the pool and hit Black Pearl. Before clubbing.
More later. I have died and gone to heaven. Now I know what you guys mean when you go to TJ. I will never take my mind off this place. I'm still here and I am alredy thinking on when my next trip will be....

HAHAHA... I loved your last sentence. That's what every guy does so don't feel like you're alone. I'll be honest to you and say that your life is officially ruined. There is no cure for PPD (Post-Philippines Depression). You will get it about 3 hours after leaving the country. But let's not talk about that right now. I will say though that the only cure for PPD is to go back. I have a trick that makes each trip easy when I get home. It's not cheap but it works. In my office at my house I always have two tickets bought and “paid for” for my next Philippines - so when I return I'll I have to do is open up my desk drawer and see the next trip's tickets.
Spending 3500p in one bar! I got you beat. I spent 7500p one night in Brown Sugar. All I remember from that night was paying by credit card (easier than counting) and floating 3 feet about the ground as I passed Kitten Club... Oh, I did wake up with four Filipinas in my room - two in the bed with me and two sleeping on the floor.

Just a short note for now, but I will fill you all in later when I get back.
During the afternoon I usually hang out at the Flamingo club before I go out. Tom (papasan) introduced me to a regular that had to make a trip to some outlying areas today. When I told them that I would be retiring in 8-10 years; and that I would like to look at some places where I might someday live. ( Yes this place has me hooked - or so to speak) So he and his wife are going to let me tag along. Got to run now but I will report when I get back.

Great messages and information on experiences.
One thing worries me though.
Please watch the amounts you pay out to these girls. You may be spoiling the market for yourself and others. If you don't know the price levels, ask other guys and check the Forum. Don't get generous. The more you hold back, the more you will have for others! Remember this is a business! ENJOY!
Having been to Thailand about 9 times, 3 times in the Philippines and being currently in Cebu, I think I will finally give up on Thailand. The pro`s and con`s of both countries have been dealt with before in this forum so I won`t bother mentioning them again.

Now about Angeles, having "fallen" for another girl in Angeles. Could you guys give me some information about the girls who stayed in orchid together with an American couple (she is a lesbian)(I suspect "my" girl of being one too) There seem to be a lot of them around. IMHO you should have tried the freelancers at the malls either at Ayala or SM,or tried a pickup in a place like mivida at Ayala.Casa girls do not have great attitude because they are like indentured servants,students are usually not that experienced.the KTV you tried must have been one geared towards koreans or japs,the one at waterfront mactan golden calesa is more westerner friendly being the official home of us forces whenever in cebu,Bo s coffee at Ayala for malling for girls in the late afternoon is another option,regards

I haven't even posted what I have spent except for the normal bar fines and the enevitable bar tab which in my case seems to be the biggest expense. Again, another excellent post. You're doing just fine for a first-timer. My one suggestion to you is to remember that the mamasans’ are there to help you but they also are there to make money. If you're going to AC just for the pussy then forget the car. It'll be more of a hassle than it is an asset. If you're coming up from Manila just take the "Fly-the-bus" by swagman or hire a taxi or private driver from one of the hotels in AC. There have been plenty of posts on good hotels so you may want to do a little searching but in my opinion the best hotel in town is Orchid Inn. Sorry about the post but as you can tell, not much to talk about. He made a couple of calls (is anyone really up here at this time?) and made arrangements to meet there around noon. I really did not want to bother with it at this point. He insisted. Oh well.
Heres the scoop on Pick-up. The idea is this. All girls are freelance. You negotiate directly with them. The bar has nothing to do with it. The guy in Jungle room said that a lot of owners are really worried that if it succeeds it will change the whole town. It would. He also thought a few of the smaller clubs (the ones that I like) would have trouble making ends meet and close. Monte carlo just had a fire and the owner is thinking of taking his insurance and bail. Part of the reason is pick up I am told.
It is a very nice club 3 floors and loads of room. I'm sure that if the idea clicks, the owners are legitimately scared. The girls i saw there that night were awsome. Future visitors should check-up on this place and report on status of this issue. What is everyones opinion on switching to negotiation versus fixed fee. I prefer the latter.
Off to eat and get ready to get my money back. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a better post.

Sounds like you should try to get there a little earlier. I'll be in town from Feb. 24th to March 4th. Using Tempest's posts as a field guide. I'm also interested to check out the Pick Up Bar. It'll be interesting to find out the story behind the place. Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense the way they've set it up.
What's the general policy in taking pics at the bars? I've been on a few AC websites and seen a ton of pictures. By some travel reports, it's allowed in some places but not others. I have a digital camera and would like to take pics of my fav's and share with fellow travellers.

My two favorite spots in Makati are Foxy's and Bottoms. I believe Bottoms has the best girls. The mommy there is Rose. Just tell her Steve the doctor sent you and she will take care of you. You've got it down straight in Bottoms. I usually show up there about 11ish and try to pick and leave before the bill gets too steep. Usually though, I get blown and drunk and run up a tab...not $500!!!! Good maneuver though, will try it next time. Foxy's is a good bet too as they are a notch lower on the 'pushy' meter. Trick there is to show up around 5 PM, go upstairs and take all 5 girls into the back room for a round-robim blow fest. It truly is a happy hour. I plan on staying in Manila (QC, Pasay?) for a couple of days either at the beginning or at the end of my trip. I'm in the software business and I will be looking for local partners to help me market/distribute in SE Asia so it depends on what I can set up between now and then. There is also a Canadian Trade Mission heading over during the Feb.24th to March 4th time frame. They are focusing on wireless technology so it's not exactly my field (my company's software links retailers to financial institutions via an intelligent electronic credit application).
In 1986 I spent time in the Firehouse and the Pitstop. Just be aware that when you get a Filipina girl hot, you are in for a ride; you had better be "up" for it.
Attitude: I can't tell you how important that is. In just about every bar I went to, I saw from 1-3 guys sitting all by themselves. (Those are either a) guys who post how much they hated AC or B) cheap charlies). We look for attitude in the girls, they look for it in us too. If you just sit there, the girls that do approach you will not be what you want. I flirt with ALL the girls. Tall (not too many of those) or short. Fat or Skinny. (Remember what it is like where we live? Wouldn't we appreciate that?) The waitresses especially. My face is sore from smiling ear to ear for 15 days. It doesn't "spoil it for the rest of us" If you buy some drinks for the girls either. By the way, who is the rest of us? Someone who wants to live on 2000p or less a day? At about 120p each it is a small gesture that will go a long ways in the bars. The owner likes it (he buys you drinks) The girls need it. You need the girls. They will flock to you after a while. Be free with compliments. Make eye contact. They love their faces and shoulders carressed. Don't start by groping their breasts. To get the conversation away from what I call the "standard 4" questions - Where you from? Where you stay? How long you stay? How old you are? - Be a little creative with the answers. Answer back with a question. How old do you wan't me to be? etc. Ask the girl is she wants to invite her friend(s), roomates(s), dance partner, etc., over for drinks too. The girls definitely have more fun. Guess what happens then. Your table gets very lively. More girls come over to get involved. Before you know it a crowd develops. I'm not saying buy them all drinks. Just the invites. Nor do you have to buy them many. But if "your party" really starts to get going, yes, buy some rounds. This is a great way to get a clue on what girls like to go home with you together. Also you will get to know the managers. They will buy you drinks. They will point out some great girls too. Each drink the girl gets half. Two drinks and you paid her a days wages. I don't know about you, if some gal paid a day of my wages, I'd be all over her :) To make sure you all have a good time when bar hoping, let the girl choose her friends. Ask them where THEY want to go. They may not be exactly what you want, but it will go a long ways in the bedroom and the night.
I have mixed opinions on the mamasans. Some are just salespersons. Anything for a drink or they push girls on you that are wrong. But there are some good ones too. If you find a good one, she can be of great help; Sometimes by telling you about girls that worked for them that are now in other bars. Just keep in mind who she is and what she does.
Expats:I make friends easy. Just the way I am. I befriended a lot of expats while I was there. They showed me the ropes. They gave me tips on girls to get, on girls to avoid. They introduce you to many of the owners. Set at their table and see how many girls come over to you.
About being a butterfly. Have some safe bars. Flirt with the girls there. Don't bring girls there. If you do BF there - not recommended, but I did - Do not BF any other from there. Every girl really does know every other girl. If you do not believe me, my favorite girl "joy2" told me the next day every bar that I had been to one night and the names of the girls that I was with. (about 10 bars, 4 girls). Be honest, they know. If you BF a girl(s) from a bar and you BF a different girl(s) on another day, be prepared to be treated differently. At the very least, you will be made to feel pretty uncomfortable. There are exceptions. Nero's was mine. I BF MANY girls from there. They all knew me and they all accepted it. I NEVER took girls in there though. That would have been the end of it. In the end they all know that we are just that. Just do it respectably.
Tipping: I wasn't going to mention this as I think it is overblown. My thoughts anyway. Generally if you 20p tip the waitresses are happy. Just a few drinks or dinner, locals leave 10p. If you pay by CC, don't put the tip on there because the house keeps it. With that being said, if you have a several thousand piso bar tab, I would respectably suggest you leave more. Do any of you think a large bar tap is considered too much and too generous (to whom?) Do you consider that in itself tipping?, or that it will "ruin things for all of us?" I just call it a party, one that I am really enjoying. One night I spent $140USD about 7000p for a table full of girls, drinking all night long, with all the girls wanting to get you in bed and have their way with you. If you party in the bar where you BF the girls it will get expensive. Suggest after a couple of rounds you move on. I always make sure the girls get at least one chit though. Again there are exceptions. In one bar, the owner reduced his girls prices because we were the life of the party. He also bought all of my rounds.
Tipping your bed partners. If so so or average, not necessary. I always feed my girls. It doesn't matter if I have 1 or 8. The ones that stay through the night I give them breakfast. Some of my best times have come after the breakfast. That is plenty of a tip for most girls. Some need money for a trike (30p avg). On a ST the girls do not expect anything. They really like it though if you walk them back. Stellar performances I usually do more. Give a gal a 100p or 300p phone card and she'll blow you on the spot :) If they have a bad attitude, send them on there way. I asked for my money back on one occasion. There are always exceptions. Again, "it's up to you." I had ONE really exceptional girl. I did more for her.
Condoms: Besides the obvious reasons, here is another one to ponder. A lot of these girls DO NOT use birth control. Maybe religion I don't know. A lot do get pregnant. That is not fair to the girl.
GFE: A lot of guys fall for some of the girls - some girls try for that. Girls fall for some of the guys. Sometimes both fall for each other. That almost happened to me in Rio once. Keep your wits about you - unless you really do want to support her. AC has to be the best in the world for the GFE. i was down in south america sampling the talent there, which is another story. briefly, in general the girls are more adept in their techniques--i don't think the culture is so oppressive as mexico or phillipines. however, while the girls are nice and perform extrememly well, the phillipines girls are just emotionally warmer, i feel. like i said that's another story.

Roselle sent me a confirmation email with a $35/night rate. Subtract the 10% discount they also give me and it is well worth the price. Just a side note: The owner of Pickup Bar is planning to build a hotel/condo complex to rival the Orchid. It's supposed to be somewhere down A. Santos Street. I love the Orchid but they need some competition. Right now they know they're the only "game" in town...

Greetings board, been busy as hech lately, just got back from Okinawa, (Kin'Ville). As always sucks when it comes to the ladies, expensive as hell. I dont even bother there in the bars. Its easier to pick thme up at the Kadena Officers club for sure. The girls in Kin'Ville outside of camp hansen are all over the hill PI girls. Bars are a rib off. ladies drink is $10 if you want a girl to sit by you, then its only for 10 minutes. They offer a hj for $20 if you buy them a LD. In reference to prog's daily expenses, I average about the same. Good points about the Orchid. Oasis does rival them, the only snag is that it is sooo far from the strip. About a 50-60p trike ride. The money isn't an issue as opposed to the lost time and logistics of strapping 5 honeys to a trike for the trek back. Also, I have been stopped at the front desk a few times if I had more than 4 girls with me. They don't let you keep more than that overnight. The trick here is to tell them that they won't be staying long (yeah right) and just head on back. The hotel is great though. Super pool (better than Orchid in my opinion). Hooky would like it for swimming laps. Food is excellent and rooms are large. I believe it still runs about $40 US per night. But again, it is a bit out of the way. Another hotel of this caliber would be great. See you all soon!

The 10% discount is for frequent visitors. I've been averaging about 5 visits per year so that's why they give it to me. But, they also gave it to mongering1 after only one visit. You just need to ask when you check-in. Yup, TJ sucks but I still go down just to remind me how much I miss the Philippines. We still need to head down there one time and pound down a few cervesas. I can confirm the VIG (Very Important Guest) discount at the Orchid as I made some inquiries earlier. I tried to get it for my first visit (I thought I could leverage multiple days but it didn't fly - guess they DO need competition. Whattya say we open our own hotel...) Maybe prog can put in a good word for me. The discount was 10%.
However, I checked out a website called Manila Tonight that seems to have postings mostly by Filipino guys. Looks like they get a 20% discount at the Orchid and more favorable rates. One guy even took a pic of the rates on the back of the door at the Orchid and posted it. Damn tourist rates!

Checked out local pharmacy. The little blue pill comes in 25, 50 and 100 ml. Surprisingly the cost is almost the same for each packet of 4. Cost per 4 in CDN$ (for a prescription) is $53.00. Discount for the lousy Canadian exchange rate and the price is $35.00 or $8.75US each. Now if I get really thrifty, I'd buy the 100ml, break it in half and it would cost about $4.50US each. Since the only time I've tried V, I was absolutely blotto drunk (which usually spells N-O-S-E-X for me) and I popped 4 times with 25 ml. Then 50 should be swell (swell, get it?). The only thing is the hassle of going to the doc for the scrip (no dr. fee since we live in a utopian socialist country up here....). If there's a cheaper, hassle-free alternative, I'm interested Iceman.

As far as that news article I sent you: I'm not sure how that will affect our paradise. I was never in the PI when the US Military still had bases there. Maybe some of the old salts like devil dog can chime in and give us their assessment. One thing I can say - for the past year now, since the military started doing exercises in the PI, chicks started arriving from all over to PI to AC to try and make some money. As a former Marine as I am sure many of you out here are, I can say I was always broke while in the service.. Many of the military most likely will come off as a cheap charlie if I have that term right. I'm still kicking myself for not getting the address, but it was not wsg, ac2, or any other I've been to. She showed me this after I jokingly told her I was going to post on a board about AC. Whistle830, this can be easily arranged after you have been in AC a few times and get to know some of the bar owners. On occasion I will arrange a car from one of the hotels to get me from Manila airport. I will also ask them to send a girl along (specify age, talants etc). You will have to pay the barfine of course. Its well worth it from a long flight. When I used to travel up to LaUnion I done this quite often. the car alwasy has cold beer and soda and if coordinated will have a bottle to Tanduya. If you are thinking about this in the future, just coordinate with one of the bar owners that you will be asking him to send a sweatheart along with the car to pick you up. I havent done this with the Orchid yet but might ask next time. Enjoy and good luck.

I just realized this morning that I've lost at least ten pounds here. I bought a new pair of shorts, fit me perfectly and now I need to tie a string on two beltloops. I could just buy a belt, but to me it's like wearing a watch, I just don't like wearing one.
I come full circle and am with just the first girl I ever seen in a bar, not including the first two runs to Santos given they were just short times on location. I need to be very careful with this one.

Mark is gone now, and since my reservations were messed up and I didn't have a room tonight he let me stay in mine. I had them replace the mattress and pillows!
For those who know me well this will sound typical, but one night we went in Volcano looking for my waitress. I asked another waitress and she said a few girls had that name and would bring them out for me. Well this cute little thing with a slight bubble but started walking towards me like she knew me. I wrote this originally as a message to a member of another board, FreqFlier, who is as stand-up a guy as they come. Consider yourself lucky if this is the guy who ends up sitting next to you at a club in Wanchai, he's a gentlemen and a downright generous host.
In any case, I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on the following. I've removed names to protect the innocent. I wrote it while pondering what the Filipinas who work at the Wanchai bars do with the money they earn. Names have been deleted to protect the innocent.
The thing I wonder is, where does all this money go? I
mean, the money the girls make? Think of it this way:
you and I sign on for a six-month stint in, I don't
know, London or someplace. Our job is to take old
ladies to dinner, then take them to their hotel or
home and fuck them silly. Now, some of these ladies
are nice but about half are old and fat with saggy
tits. But at the end of that six months, after fucking
about 75 of these cows, we've made US$250,000. Given
that option? Yeah, maybe I'd spend half a year doing
it. Considering ****** (and ****** and ****** and...) made
more money in one night than they would have made in a
month in the Philippines, they should have gone home
with more money than they could have dreamed of.
Let's do the math. At Country Laser, girls get HK$7000
per month, plus one meal per day, plus board, usually
a bed shared with one or two other girls, plus
roundtrip airfare to HK and their visas. At 6 pp =
HK$1, that's 42,000pp per month, times six, that's
252,000 pesos, just for showing up. I think for each
$220 drink, they get $60. Let's say they get 30 drinks
per month, which is probably way low-ball. That's
HK$1800, which is another 10,800 pp per month, times
six, that's another 64,800 pp, giving us a total of
316,800 pp, without anyone even opening their legs.
Ok. I know that ****** was the busiest girl at Country
Laser (****** told me), and that in her first month she
went out 21 out of 30 nights. So that's the high end.
For this, we'll cut that in half and say that the
average girl goes out 10 nights per month (entirely
possible--that means every Friday and Saturday night,
plus any other two nights in the whole month). She
gets HK$1250 plus tips. For argument's sake, I'll add
no tips. So that's HK$12,500 per month, which means
75,000 pp per month, times six is 450,000 pesos. Plus
their pay and drinks gives them 766,800 pesos for six
months work, essentially TAX FREE.
I'll even give the girls HK$50 for snacks, smokes,
transportation, whatever. HK$50 X 180 = HK$9000,
equals 54,000 pesos. That still leaves them 712,800
pesos. That's still a zillion dollars. Let me put this
in perspective. I'm sure costs in the Manila/Angeles
area are somewhat higher, but on Malapascua (an island off the northern tip of Cebu, no hobbying but great scuba, e-mail me about it at intransit2003@yahoo.com), US$8000,
or 424,000 pp, would build you an entire beachfront
hotel. Even if a house cost the same in the Manila
area, you'd have enough money and more after six
months. Imagine doing four or five tours--what the
fuck are these girls doing with 3.5 million pesos?
I know most of the girls are either supporting their
kids or some other member(s) of the family, but still,
that's a ton of money. Any ideas on this?
Frankly, I don't blame any of the girls for doing it.
I have a friend in Beijing, the K**** girl you may see
mentioned in the China section. She is so smart and
runs her operation entirely like a business. She and I
have become good friends but she doesn't get involved
with her customers and she never gives it out for
free. She's also the fuck of the century. So to try to
pull oneself out of poverty via six months of
unpleasant but only moderately risky work, things
could be a lot worse. They could also be foolish and
work the bars in Angeles, where they wouldn't make
anywhere near as much money, and worse, would risk
being recognized by friends or family members.

I talk to Filipinas doing similar gigs in Japan. There's alot of things you are not factoring in or just under/over estimating. I don't think you can build a resort hotel for $8,000 for instance. I know some areas are cheaper, but I know that's probably too low. If you have been to the malls in Manila, for instance, you will see that alot of prices are not dirt cheap .. like TV's, etc. The girls in AC pay about 700 pesos a month for a dump of a room. That would put them at 8,400 for a years rent. The girls I know in Japan send a couple of hundred back home every month. Many of them put their brothers through college (males considered more important in the families and future bread winners). The also are done, by the time they are 30, if not earlier. This money will have to cover them for much of their remaining lives. They get no medical coverage, so that money will need to cover them in times of emergency. I know one sharp girl I met, that did pay for a house in the Phillipines, but it was in need of fixup. She has done about 5 terms in Japan. She was working to buy furniture, for repairs, to set some money aside, and to pay for her brothers final year in school. She hands out money everytime she goes home, in addition to what she sends. The cost of living is also higher in Hong Kong and Japan. They do spend money while there. It adds up. The money is good, but they are in no means rich when they go home. Only rich relative to where they were. Assume that you gave a street person in the US $100,000. Yes, they could buy a home. But if they put their brother through college, sent $1,000 a month home to their parents every month for 3-4 years, there would not be that much if any money left. They would still need to work the rest of their lives for all the other things in life.

I can't speak for the bargirls and freelancers that work in Manila but I can answer some of your questions in regards to the AC girls. A lot of their money goes back home. Probably 50% of the girls in town send a huge chunk of their salary & commission home to their parents. The rest blow a lot of what they make on jewelry, cell phones, their trike boyfriend, and in many cases, drugs.
The cost of living in AC is also very high compared to other parts of the province. An average apartment close to where they work is probably costing them 7000p/month. This is why many girls share a room together but even when they share you're still looking at 1000p to 1500p each per month. Food is expensive in AC, even the street vendors’ charge 100% more than if they were elsewhere in the PI.
As far as barfines - business has sucked in AC for a few years now but they still make more than if they were back home. The average bargirl probably gets barfined once every week if she's lucky. I said average. Some of the top-tier girls get barfined every night.
An average salary for a dancer is 120p to 200p per night. A waitress makes around 75p per night. Most GROs and door girls make no salary. A typical lady drink cost 120p. The girl will get half of that. A longtime barfine is 1000p and she gets 500p out of that.
Most girls use trikes instead of the jeeps. They are typically paying 30p to 50p each way between home and work. Multiply this by 20 x 2 and it adds up.
The bottom line is that an AC bargirl is usually better off than if she was still back in her province but they are still poor.

A buddy called me last night from AC. He said that the 500 US troops currently stationed at Clark are not allowed to leave the base. The bars were shipping girls to them but a recent incident put a stop to that. This means more chicks for those of us who are going there in the very near future. Here's why: When word hits the street that there are 500 US troops in AC many girls show up to make some money, to include hotties up from Manila. About the girls getting money from multiple guys. Who gives a shit. If it makes you feel good to do it, then do it. But don't expect more than what you already know from posts. Try to remember these girl's situation in life. If they can get more money then more power to them. I mean they are already whoring out themselves(and I've yet to meet one that is living her dream doing this) and have good reasons for this. I am guilty as of last trip of this and I have no regrets. I did what I did and if it works out long time then great, if not, oh well I tried. I find myself falling a little in love with every bar fine. I've been to some homes and I tell you now that I have the humility of a saint. Just stay in your budget and do what feels good in every aspect. It's AC after all and I don't think anyone is going to lose the farm here.

I agree with mongering 100%. I look at it this way...we are there for a vacation and to relax/release. When on vacation, one usually splurges a bit. If we went to Hawaii...the hotel alone for one week would run between $1,000-$2,000. So, if you get good service, enjoyed the girls company and didn't have to deal with drama then 1,000 peso here and there means the world to them and really doesn't dent us. Why not make them happy, have a great time and, oh, get a receipt from the girl and write it off as a charitable contribution (kidding). ;-)

i totally agree. it is unbelievable that for 1,000P ($20US) you can have "companionship" for the entire night. that's one of the things that makes AC great, along with the warmth and affection of the RP ladies.

My last trip, I did not take one trike or jeepny ride. I hate those things. I will take a taxi if I need to unless traveling with a trusted friend going to a known area. So that pretty much sums it up, location, location, location. I had no need to use transportation since the Orchid is located practically in the middle of where you want to be. I must comment on the staff. I fall in love with them every time. If I have a problem, they fix it. I feel very very safe here and all your expenses can be charged to your room. For the lurker out there, the honor bar is real prices, not inflated at all. And the on site go go bar Flamingo will let you charge drinks and even bar fines to your room. It has been advised enough times not to bar fine from here to avoid the stink eye from the girls if you are seen with other bar fines from othe bars. I have yet to bar fine from here, but it is just a matter of time. I like hanging out in there while waiting for a fellow monger.

just wanted to add my vote for the orchid. there really is no place to compare to it in ac. it is so centrally located and the rooms are nice and the grounds are also pleasant with courtyard and pool and cantina. the new wing has high speed computer ports for your laptop if you have one.
i barfined several from the flamingo and didn't have any problem. (i took out four from there my first night just to set the precedent.)
decent buffet breakfast and lunch poolside also.

Well, I'm here in Inchon, Korea. I flew out of LAX on Korean Air flight 12. I used some Delta miles and flew business class. The service and seats were good but the food sucked. The flight was 12 hours almost to the minute. I have a couple hours to relax so I thought I'd drop a email. Hopefully I'll be tongue deep in Filipinas with a few hours. :)

Well I have visited this forum everyday for the past 3 months, took mental notes, laughed at some posts and swore at others but now my time has come. I am 4 hours away from embarking on my cherry trip to AC and I CANNOT get this smile off my face! I have wondered for far too long how I would feel and now that it is upon me and I am lost for words. Just anticipating the sites, smells and sounds (and of course the women) of AC makes me grin. I want to thank all the members who contribute valuable information to this board because I find myself more comfortable and knowledgeable regarding AC and its workings and know that this will indeed be the time of my life! I will be sure to return to all of you my experiences in hopes that I rekindle some of the same feelings you experienced on your virgin trips and give some insight to those who have not yet fallen. I will be continuously checking into the site from AC and will report any significant findings (like that will be tough!) Ok have to finish packing and then onto paradise that’s it for now, peace out!
Prog's Angeles City Trip Report
The flight from LAX to Manila was very uneventful. I booked a business class seat on Korean Air. They were comfortable seats but nothing like flying business on Singapore Airlines. I left just after midnight on the 14th and arrived in Seoul 12 hours later. I caught about 5 hours sleep. I had a two hour layover in Seoul so I took a shower and relaxed in the business class lounge. The Seoul to Manila flight was only 3 hours. I landed in Manila around 11:20 AM on Saturday. Warning to all: Try to avoided landing on a Saturday. I have never seen so much traffic in my life! The driver said that many people do not work on Saturday so they leave the city for awhile. It took us 3 hours just to get out of the city. I had my driver stop off at a mini-store so I was well stocked with San Miguels for the long trip north.
Day 1:
Arrived in Angeles City around 4:30 PM. Checked into my room and took another shower. Afterwards I stopped by the pool to shoot the breeze with some of my expatriate friends. We headed on a barhop around 5:30 PM. Dirty Duck is still one of the best bars to start your barhop at. They open early and the girls are real nasty. I did notice that a few of them were on Shabu (meth). After Dirty Duck we hit Champagne then Volcano.
Like a dumbass I started right away with the rum and cokes. Needless to say by 10:00 PM I was over the edge. I stumbled back to the hotel and took a cold shower then hit Santos. I chatted with the girls at Black Pearl then picked out two for short time. Nice girls - each took turns making me cum. I sent them home around 1:00 AM then crashed.
Day 2:

I would avoid Easter week if I were you. I was there in 1995 during Easter week and quickly bored of the Easter festivities. I was interested in watching the "cross nailing" in which they actually nail a real actor to the cross but after several hours of biblical re-enactment (with no end in sight), I didn't even stay for the grand finale.
I can't say for sure but it would seem to me that a lot of girls would go home to their families for the week.

Is it best to take American Express US $ cheques to AC? How easy/hard is it to convert to Pesos? Where's the best exchange rate to be had?

This is more for old times sake than current information, but certain things never change...
When I arrived in Manilla, some years ago, I had the greatest difficulty cashing my nonUS$ cheques. When I finally found a moneychanger I lost over 10% on what I would have had in Pesos if I had bought US$ travellercheques at home.
In AC n-o--o-n-e wanted anything but US$. So I ended up in the queues at ATM machines. Since it was Christmas, those queues were long. Very long. Most of the Filippino's just checked their balance. Too low to withdraw... But some took out loads of bills. Leaving me at one point with an empty ATM...
Bring travellercheques in US$ and some US$ cash aswell. If you feel you get a bad rate at the airport, just change $10 and go find an ATM.
Don't forget to check with your bank how much an ATM withdrawl is going to cost you in fees to the bank...
AmericanExpress have one drawback. When you lose their cheques or they get stolen, you have to go to an Amex office to collect the replacements:(.
ThomasCook will bring the new ones to your hotel:).
I feel that http://www.xe.com/ucc/ is the most reliable currency site at the moment...

Bring US dollars. They offer the best exchange rate of all currencies. T/C offer the worst exchange rate and can be difficult to get exchanged. All transactions (Lady drinks, hotel rates, barfines, etc) are in pesos. The Orchid Inn has in-room programmable safes. They also have safes in the reception desk. Most bars will accept credit cards but AMEX is usually not one of them. If you use a credit card you will be charged an additional 8%. The current rate is 54.40 pesos to the USD in Angeles City and around 53.90 at the airport.

Day 3:
Got about 7 hours of sleep. Got up and took a shower then headed over to Santos for a shave at a barber shop located right in the middle of the action. A couple cuties came in while I was on the chair and played with my dick. I paid my bill then took them both back to the room. Both my trips to Angeles I just took cash for going out and charged most of my food and my room to my credit card at the Orchid. Figuring I rang the bell at Flamingo and ate at Orchid everyday, plus the fact I told my barfines to help themselves to the fridge, total for the week including the fee Orchid charges for credit cards was $330 for the week. I ran low on cash and did an advance there as well. I will admit to this being a very not so smart financially, but the convenience and peace of mind was worth it to me at the time.

A bell ring gets you 5 minutes of fame. Normally it's cheaper to buy each girl in the bar a drink seperately. Ringing the bell allows you to put your name or a phrase on one the mirrors. The girls do get one commision per bell ring. This being said I have rang the bell twice - once at Champagne and one at Gecko's. I did it because they were my favorite bars for some time now and I wanted to show my appreciation to them for being so nice to me.

I believe all the rooms at orchid have a safe. They also have safe boxes at the front desk. I had them keep my key for the box the day I needed it. On the same subject, I totally trust the staff at the Orchid. I have never heard of any theft at all from any board. I even left my safe open once, not just unlocked, wide open. I had over a grande in cash, passport, tickets, camcorder, and a camera. Nothing was touched when my room was cleaned, but the door was closed. I also leave out a lot of pilferable stuff on the nightsand, the maid will organize it a little and that's it. The security guards are top notch as well as far as my experiences. They see me butterfly, so they won't let the girl from the morning or the night before come back without my ok. I would let them know if I was expecting someone and then no problem.
One more thought, the back entrance to Shadows 2 is right down the alley from the Jasmine suites. I actually had a girl text me to let me know that she knew I was in my room and wanted to cum. She pointed out that I was alone as well.
Finally, to anyone going for the first time, listen to the advice of the veterans. I heard but failed to fully listen and I was schoolled by the best. BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU SAY TO THESE GIRLS! In answer to your original question, there aren't any ATMs near Fields. I've been waiting for someone to ask this question for a long time. I am the ATM king of angeles. Or maybe I should rephrase to Cirrus ATM king. I have put some serious mileage on my bike trying to find one that works.
Metro, Equitable, and BPI take Cirrus. Let's start in Dau and work our way south. There is a Metro just north of Jenra market on the right side of the hiway. There is a BPI Family Bank across the street from McDonalds. Another Metro about half way to Saver's from Fields on the opposite side from Saver's. As previously noted, the BPI branch at Saver's has moved a little further south.
BPI about 50 meters before you get to AUF on the opposite side of the hiway. Main branch of BPI is behind Apo market. Kind of hard to describe how to get there. Easier to use trike. There is a dual BPI at the back side of Jenra Mall. Always has a sign that tells you not to take P10t. If you want that amount, then you have to extract P5t twice. Further down from Jenra is another BPI. This one works once in a blue moon.
On Clark there is an Equitable at Pure Gold and a BPI down the street at Grand.
I've only managed to get money from Metro once, and that was restricted to P4000. They also have the rudest message. "Can't help you. Use your own bank."
Equitable will allow P10t a time. BPI also gives P10t, but you can put your card right back in and get another P10t.

Prog's Angeles City Trip Report
Day 5:
Got rid of the nymphomaniac around 3:00PM. LVL and I hit a few of the same daytime bars of the previous days. In the evening We headed over to Gecko's. I caught the eye of a real cutie but she had just called down from the stage. I immediately eyeballed her friend and called her over. LVL sat down next to me and started shaking his head saying "man, you moved faster than I did"! I told him he didn't loose his girl, just his turn. I soon realized I could always get her some other time. I took the lady drink I bought for her and moved it over next to LVL. Then picked her up and placed her on his lap. It varied when I tried it. Pure Gold (Equitable) inside Clark always works, but it is a ride though. Cash is king, and at the Orchid, there is no worry.
Orchid regular rooms do not have safe. They have a box at the desk. It is safe. In fact, as it was said before, no worries.

Prog's Angeles City Trip Report
Day 8:
After the waitress left I relaxed and tried to catch up on some work email. The Internet connection at the Orchid Inn has been horrible. Management assured me that they would get bandwidth up and more reliable. We'll see. Later in the day I just laid around and finished up a book I had been reading for awhile. Prog's Angeles City Trip Report
Day 10:
Got up fairly early and had breakfast with LVL and a few other buddies from San Deigo. The main topic of conversation was the girls of course. Although I've always traveled to Cebu everytime I'm in the PI, I've been to AC twice in 1990 and recently in 2000. As a professional, nude modeling videographer, I'm always looking for fresh new faces (and bodies) to shoot. This time though, I want to spend at least a week there in AC either in Feb. or Apr. after Easter of next year.

Prog's Angeles City Trip Report
Day 12:
I said goodbye to my dancer friend around 2:00 PM. I met Rugby down by the Orchid pool. He had just got into town and was ready to see and do everything. LVL, “B”, and I took him down to Santos Street so he could get a shave. I waited for him at Black Pearl. We were soon surrounded by cute little brown honeys. I was the first up the stairs, followed immediately by LVL. The rooms have very thin walls so we could hear everything going on around us. The rooms LVL and I were put into were right next to each other. It made for interesting conversations. After a very satisfying blowjob I got dressed to head downstairs. Day 15:
After checking out my driver was on-time to drive me to the Manila Airport. My dancer friend came to the airport with me. I laid down across the back seat and she cuddled up against me. By the way guys, I will post my trip report when I return. Prog has already given some details and I know Rhugby has been writing extensively on his laptop so he can post later as well.
I would like to mention cell phones in PI while i'm here since I dn't recall reading much about it on this forum before my trip. I didn't have a phone for my 5 days in AC but noticed those experienced or smart AC visitors had their own phones. By the time I figured out the importance, I was already into day 3 and decided to pass. Then I'm in Manila on business and missed an important meeting because my hotel screwed up on taking the message. After that experience and a quick lesson on texting, I stopped at the Ayala Center in Makati and bought a used Nokia 3210 for 2400 pesos which included the sim card and 100 minutes. I promptly entered all the filipina phone numbers that I had and the fun began.
Sonn I even arranged for a couple of girls to come down and stay with me in Makati. All by txt messaging.
Here are some ot the samples of the messages I've received:

2. Sound truly funny I'm thinking about our wonderful time last night. I wish you a great evening (this was from a rich Filipina chick from Austria who barfined ME at the LA Cafe in Manila)

Trihunter brings up some good points about cell phones. They are really a smart investment - one that can be paid back in a very short period of time. I bought myself a cell phone well over a year ago. The initial cost for this model was 5200p. I have brought it back with me 6 times since then and have gotten my money back in free pussy over and over again. Aside from the advantages of getting a hold of the girls it really is the best way to contact the other guys that may be in town. There is no longer a need to make plans in advance. You just txt your buddies whenever you need to.
The catch is keeping you phone number valid. If you do not put in a new load within 4 months you will lose the number and have to buy another sim-card chip. This has not been the case with me thus far but I will need to buy a new sim-card when I return in August. The cost of a new sim-card is around $4 USD. Before you install the new chip, write down all the numbers from the old chip. After installing and activating the new sim-card just add all these numbers back into your address book. You can then send out a txt to everyone, telling them your number has changed. An added advantage to putting in a new sim-card is that the stalkers can't bug you anymore. NOTE: LasVegasLites - Emily can't txt you if you put in a new sim-card!!! :)
