I am still having a little bit of trouble finding a hotel in Cebu City. The Richmond is price decent at 1500 pesos, I am willing to spend up to 2500 pesos, but the room photos for the Richmond look really cheesy.
The Marriott looks nice, but it is almost 4000 pesos a night. and I prefer to not give my ID and credit card anyway just as protection against any skullduggery by girls.
Any other recommendations in the 2000-2500 peso price range?I walked by this place alot when staying at the Richmond.

Try the Cebu Grand. I stayed there when I couldn't get into the Richmond. Round about 2000 peso including an average but edible breakfast. Taxi required to go anywhere if you don't want a 15 minute walk. Next trip I will definitely stay at the Cebu Grand in preference to the Richmond
Apart from credit card, airline, hotel info, is there any on the ground nookie info out there? Been waiting for some time now.
We unfortunates, who are not in the Philippines right now, and who have to look at fat western women all the time, would like some stories about adventures in the land of milk and honey, Philipines.

The Golden Prince looks ok. And at 1600 pesos is affordable. Is it all within walking distance of the bars and discos? Are they girl friendly?

I’m writing this report several weeks later, so please bear with me as I may have forgotten some important info. Flew into Cebu Airport on Mactan island. First night we went to Love City , its near Midtown Hotel, in the heart of Cebu City. Club Love City had naked dancing and could take out from there. I think it was 3500 for overnight, however, like most of all Philippines, the girls want to leave right after the deed. Had some good talent at love city, I would recommend that place. It is connected to 2 other go go dancing type clubs, Dimples and another bar, forgot the name. Dimples had a hot girl named apple. She was pretty damn hot but was on her rags when I saw her. So I could not partake with her.
Another club called Arena was close to Cebu town. Had the upscale girls and girls from different pricing….. Models, Manila girls, and the regular girls. I think the manila and model girls were 6k and the regular girls were 4k. Not sure on the pricing. It sure had more talent there than any other place in Cebu. Highly recommended if you do not mind spending the doe for quality looking girls.
Also went to the casas in Cebu, there is only 1 casa in the cebu area, and there are 3 in the lapo lapo area on Mactan island, sorry about my spelling. Went to 2 mactan casas there, Dolphin and another one I forgot, has ktv and stuff there. But they are only 3 minutes away from each other. The cebu casa had no one I liked, but my friends picked up some. The talent in the casa is kind of poor, but the price is the attractiveness. I think they are only 2500 for LT.
Not much to report in Cebu, as I would not return, it is kind of Ghetto compared to Manila and is really not that much cheaper. However, there are some high end resorts there, I forgot the name we went to one that was huge and badass, no phillipinos here, only tourists. As the prices are sort of Waikiki prices. Beers 4 usd, using the facilities 60 usd per day. Minus as well just book a room 140usd , may be cheaper than the day pass, if you can list people as guests under your room. Not sure about this, because we did not partake because it was raining and getting late. .
Manila
Went back to manila and hit the usual spots, Edsa, Burgos, Roxas, LA Café.
First night went to East Asia (EA) on Roxas. Has some pretty good talent here. Can bone down for 2300 plus room fee 1300. But you can share the room with your buddies, not all at once, take turns, hello, not gay here. Hahaha. So split the room fee and pay the girl 2300, pretty good deal, but need to bone down in establishment. Ladys drinks are 800 per hour. Ask for manager Johnny, he is cool., and will waive the entrance fee for you if you patronize his place. LT take out is 6000. I would recommend this place for ST, just buy a LD and bone down. Get in and out ASAP.
Went to Asian Entertainment (AE), also, we got a deal from the mommy, for got her name, Julie I think, shucks, anyways, she gave us 2500 for girl and free room charge. That’s a great deal, lady drinks are kind of expensive 500. Beers are 120. There is good talent here too. I would recommend this place, . LT take out is 6000 and 2 ladies drink minimum. I would recommend this place for ST, just buy a LD and bone down. Get in and out ASAP.
Went to Dynasty, next to Asian Entertainment, lose money, would not recommend this place, talent is poor and the prices are the same as AE and EA. Be careful at all these roxas bars, as they try to rip you off on the bill. Tacking on all kinds of bullshit, especially the entrance fee. But if you know a manager or mommy, they should waive it.
Edsa, was a oldie but goodie, pretty much straight forward, 1400 for BF and 3000 for LT. Well, kind of depends on the girl. You can negotiate, may be more maybe less. Talent here is always pretty good. I think not as good as Roxas, but you can find a real gem here if you look hard enough. LT takeout is cheaper than Roxas. Highly recommend this place.
Went to the casas in Makati, only got 3 and the talent is pretty damn shitty. You may find a gem, but I did not. Most of the girls here had babies already and are not that pretty. Well, every location in in PI , most of the girls had babies already. We just seem to keep going back, to hopefully get lucky and find a hottie. Pricing here is only 2500 or 3000. Bautisita street is where you need to go.
LA Café was a dirty and smoky place. I was lucky to have found a hottie that liked to bone down. Well, she was not a super hottie, but a Latino looking lady that had a nice bod. Too bad she had a baby already as I could see stretch marks and her tits were a bit flappy, hahaha. Anyways, she like to bone down and was super wet. She turned me on cause she was turned on. And made moaning sounds to match. Always had to wash the sheets after her. Probably one of the best bone down sessions. And only 3000 for LT. Standard pricing at LA café.
Last place we hit was burgos street. Went into a couple of familiar bars and had the same go go dancing. One of the bars had a pretty good dance show at 11pm, for got the name. But some of the dancers were sexy and hot. My friend tried to get one for LT, but she said we had to wait till 4am when she got off work or something. Well, we hit this place called rascals, where my 2 friends picked up a girl each. They were hot and playful. Real GFE as they told me in the morning. I think one of my friends fell in love, well too bad or a good thing, that it was our last night in PI. Hahaha. It was kind of tricky here on burgos street. First they say there is no BF, but as you prove to them that you are a tourist by showing all kinds of ID s and foreign credit cards, and ordering LD and beers, then the mommies start to trust you and believe you are a nice guy. So just get them comfortable and be friendly, you will be able to BF a girl. BF was 3500 and you should tip the girl 1000 if she is GFE. The girls got mad cause my friends did not tip enough, one was 500 and the other was 800. I think they expect 1000 or more. Not sure, but if they give you good service and GFE and stay till morning, I think 1500 tip would be good.
In closing, I think many bars try to rip you off so be meticulous about the bill, especially the ones on Roxas Blvd. . We all never had problems with girls stealing, but just be careful. LT girls will try to make up excuses to leave right after the deal, so you need to negotiate when LT is over, like in the morning or right after the first deed. Don’t fall for the sob sob stories the girls try to tell you. They just want your sympathy for you pesos. But some girls are winners, get there numbers and keep in touch with them, cause they are special. Foremost advice, is don’t fall in love and bring WG stateside. That would be the most expensive mistake you can ever make in your life. Peace and play safe.
Forgot to mention that I did hit a couple of fish bowls / saunas… Airforce 1 (near airport in Sucat city) and Romans Suites (near Greenbelt mall in makati). Prices vary on the time you go, Usually before 5 pm you get a better rate. Girls at both were okay, you can find a hottie if you got great timing. Both saunas offer the same service, which is pretty much full service, hahaha. At roman suites, they actually massage you, at AF1, no massage, unless you beat it out of her. Prices are similar, pretty much 3500 for everything, but go before 5pm, you get a discount.

After a long time lurking on this site it is time to contribute. Arrived in Cebu with plans of arranging dates from DIA and supplementing that with hopefully good pfp girls. Having been to manila before I heard the pretty girls were in cebu and pictured a sort of Bangkok-Pattaya dynamic. However, Cebu is no Pattaya.
Hotels
Due to reservation issues Marriot was not available for my arrival and had to settle for a $124 room at Parklane. An average hotel by international standards. Internet in the room is important for me, and the hotel had it, but it would disconnect repeatedly making it impossible to connect to the VPN and get work mails. It also made it frustrating to try to cha on yahoo with girls met on dia. That said, the place is quite convenient to Ayala mall. However, after a couple days moved to Crown Regency near Osmenia (sp? ) circle. The quality is comparable to Parklane, with Parklane being slightly better, but if you make your reservation on asiatravel.com it costs half what parklane does. I would rather spend that money on ladies than overpriced hotels!
Ayala & SM Malls
This mall is quite crowded but has some western franchise restaurants where you can get decent food. Phils food also does not compare with Thai food, so have been sticking with western food mostly. There is a Bo's cafe there which is a major hangout for freelancers. In fact, so much so that a DIA girl didn't want to meet there for fear of being considered a pro. The internet works good here though and for the price of a coffee you can hang all day arranging dates from girls met on yahoo.
Checked out SM mall and it definitely has girls available if you like to have some adventure. Walk around and catch a girl's eye.
Silver Dollar
This was the first bar visited due to it being close to my new hotel. A very depressing place. Not many girls and all of them have been hit too many times with the ugly stick. After this place I was ready to put a gun thinking there were not going to be any good looking girls working cebu's bars.
Mango
This place redeems cebu. Do not go to the mango square, that is all locals and reportedly can get violent as people get drunk. You want to go further down the street to a cluster of bars around Viking. Went into viking and finally something worth writing about. Stayed for only one drink because wanted to see the other ones in the area, but there were a fair number of hotties worth taking home. Then went across the street to Papillion and at first almost walked back out. Smaller place than Viking and at first didn't see any good girls. Stayed for a drink though and then more girls came out. This was about 11PM and I was the only guy in the bar so of course got swarmed by girls wanting LD. Finally settled on one with a hottie with a tight little body and a fun attitude. At first was only going to stay for one drink here as well in order to see others, but finally decided to take the girl home. Before closing the deal though several more hot girls came out. One I would definitely rate as a 9 or even a 9. 5. All told there were probably 5 or 6 girls here all worth a night out.
One question for the group though. The girl told me the BF was 2, 000 pesos, which seemed a bit high, since it equalled manila prices and much more than BFs in Thailand. The girl also said she should get a tip and said it would be another 2, 000 pesos. Guys is that right? I figured it was too high, on the other hand she was making me hot, and after a couple uninspiring days chasing DIA girls I wanted a good night. I don't mind wasting a little money once, but would like to know for future reference if it was too high. No regrets though since the girl had a great attitude, had a smoking hot body and was willing to stay for as long as I wnted. She ended up staying until noon today and would have stayed longer if I wanted, but there was work to do.
Dating sites
There are tons of filipinas on DIA and CB as well as others. My first two days in cebu was focused on them. It is work. For me I was targeting girls in the 18-21 range, and had mixed results when actually meeting. About a third of them turned out to be in fact younger than 18, and one was even 15. About another third turned out to be ladyboys. Some of them will tell you straight up they are a ladyboy so that you don't need to waste any time, but a couple hid it and when met still denied it. This can be frustrating if you arrane a date for the evening, she turns out to be a ladyboy, and you lose a night. It can also be comical as one other writer noted that after a few days you are getting calls and test mesages an not know who they are from. The girls here are very eager to get out. One girl met who turned out to be only 15 showed up with her grandmother. Neither one was concerned about the prospect of her being with a 40 year old guy. This is really sad. Preliminary findings
Cebu is not a mongers paradise IMHO but it is does have its good points. You may not get the selection you can get in Thailand, but the girls in Thailand have become very mercenary in recent years and it seems still possible to have a gfe in cebu. The fact that they speak english well could be an advantage or disadvantage depending on you. There is not a whole lot you can discuss with someone much younger and with nearly no education. I have been curious about the place mentioned called Arena. Maybe check it out tonight. On the other hand, reports of the expensive girls seems unnecessary. You should be able to find a prett enough girl with a good attitude on mago. If you have time to burn arranging dates from the websites can be an adventure. You could probably have a holiday with non pfp if you organize it well.
Thailand is the easy place if you are looking for pfp adventure, but if you are bored with Thailand, willing to invest a bit of time, and don't mind overpriced hotels then cebu and the phils may be worth a look.

Ss: Crown Regency is the best value plus FREE wifi! Marriott can SOMETIME be had for about $80 but location is not so great for mongering (good for Ayala Center).
I know Vikings and Temptations barfine is 1700, and I BELIEVE Papillion is the same (never been in there). The girl gets half so the request for a 2000 tip was ridiculous. ALWAYS inquire about pricing BEFORE going inside, because if you show you KNOW the real rate they will not try and fleece you. Whether from the internet, taxi drivers, or fellow mongers, get the pricing info BEFORE. When you go into a bar and ask "how much" you have proved yourself to be a newbie ripe for the fleecing to EVERYBODY in the bar.

Not so. Misleading information, I can assure you. Freelancers prop anywhere , so it possible on occasions to site one or two at Bo's , but in the past I have a hard time doing that. Try hitting on the other girls there , who represent the vast majority , and see how you go, lol. Generally speaking , the girls at Bo's Ayala have their own wealth , do not need our Pesos. Also, beware of the transvestites, known as bayuts or bakla's, who hang around the same place. Maybe you were unknowingly looking at them. And that is maybe why your girl friend didn't want to sit at Bo's Ayala.
The Mall itself has some freelancers wandering around, but not enough of any quality , to make it a good hunting ground for them.
Apart from that , I found your report was pretty good.
I just got back from three days in Cebu and I stayed at the Parklane. I paid 4500P a night and got a very nice breakfast buffet. They are girl friendly, but require the girl to sign in. I thought the hotel was awesome and the free internet worked great. I had a room on the top floor. I also rented a car from the hotel for 2500P for 1 1/2 days, with a free airport drop off. I will file a full trip report soon. Attached are pictures of the room.

I booked the Marco Polo on line for 6000P a night and then when I hooked up with my friend, he told me to change to Parkland Hotel. After visiting and seeing Marco Polo so far up the hill and when I went up to Marco Polo and saw that it is out there by itself and hard to get a taxi from there, I am happy that I changed to the Parkland. I had just spent the night in Manila and I made my first mistake by booking the Citadel Inn online for 3000P. I normally stay in the Diamond Hotel or Mandarin Oriental and I took a chance as I was only staying one night and I wanted to party on Burgos. IMHO what a dump, they only have two elevators and it took up to 5 minutes to get to your floor or to go out and I didn't feel good taking a lady back there. The mattress looked like it was as old as the hotel and the bathroom was worn out.
What good is money if you are not comfortable? You can't take it with you.

After many years of talking about going to Cebu, I finally got to visit last weekend. I consider myself very lucky for two reasons. One, I had a friend who lived in Cebu for two years accompany me as my tour guide and two, his girlfriend hooked me up with her 20 year old maganda cousin:D
DAY 1
We arrived Friday night and as I already posted, checked into the Parklane Hotel. Showered and headed to a nice restaurant to meet the girls. After dinner we took the girls to K1 KTV for a couple hours of karaoke. Nice place to go and sing, but watch your time, they tried to overcharge us by 500P by staying 5 minutes over the second hour.
The first disco that we went to was the LOFT around 10 pm; it is located in IT Park. It is a soft disco with no cover charge. They play Techno music and there were a lot of Koreans and locals mixing together. I made eye contact with two girls and I am sure if I was alone that I could have picked up someone. Drinks were cheap, but the food (bar snacks) sucked. No dance floor, it has open tables that you stand around and sort of dance in place.
We left there about 11:30 and went to PUMP; also in IT Park about 1/2K down the street. This is also Techno with a 100P cover charge and that will buy your first drink. I counted 23 security guards in my area and I saw one local bump a drunken Korean and the Korean tried to fight and he had 10 security guards on him and they pushed him straight to the door, no questions asked. Now this is the place to go and pick up ladies. It was very crowded with Korean and locals mixed. They have a dance floor and a raised stage, as well as a long raised dancing platform that the girls like to dance on. My friend told me that this is where the bar girls come on Friday’s and Saturday’s if they don’t get BF’ed. I would say that there were over 100 girls there at 1 am Saturday.
We left there at 1:30 am and went over to Voodoo, where it is located I do not know, but we took a 50P taxi ride to get there. It is also a Techno bar. We went to the VIP section for 300P each and that didn’t include any drinks. The VIP is upstairs and I think that you only want to go upstairs if you already have your girl, because mostly couples. The VIP has some small couches and a very small dance floor. On the way out we stopped downstairs and danced for about 30 minutes and it was very crowded and I didn’t really see any single ladies.
We left there at 3 am and went over to Badgers. A nice sports bar with two pool tables and a good place to unwind after the discos.
DAY 2
After a good haircut and manicure at the mall, I walked around the mall until I found (less then 10 minutes) a nice little 25 year old lady who needed help with her rent. She showed me an ID from a custodian company and she told me that she just needed 1000P to help pay her rent. So, me being a nice guy and since I got a new haircut and needed a shower, I took her to the room and helped her pay her rent:D.
After I finished I called my friend and we headed to Silver Dollar, as it is the only bar open at 1:00 pm. I have read about this bar on ISG and I have to say that it is exactly as everyone reports. No stunners, but some playful girls. We took a booth and almost instantly had 6 girls on us. We stayed for three hours and enjoyed playing with the girls, all very playful, nothing off limits, including giving my friend a BJ in the booth.
First two days in Cebu were awesome and day three (bar hopping) was even better. I will post day 3 soon.

The Bo's rumour is not worth your time or energy as Sxx implies. Since the prices at Bo's are expensive by Philippine standards, most women inside would be non-pro targets.
But since Westerners would go to these places, you might find some riff raff hanging around outside....sometimes the riff raff is cute.
Bo's at Raintree mall on Ramos may be the source of the rumors. Many of the evening freelancers hanging out between Midtown Hotel and Holiday Plaza (next to Bo's) are guys, so don't get too excited. It's also down the street from the doctors's college, so chatting up a lady in a white uniform is very much doable in the daytime.
I had a very interesting, but non-productive chat, with a lady at the Bo's nearest the Cebu capital. The Cebu SM mall has a Bo's, but i think it's the French Cafe which is girl-watching central.
Bo's, which is a Starbucks copy, has expanded from Cebu and can now be found in large malls from Manila to Davao.
Bo's also does breakfast at some places, and has free wi fi.

Mahalo for the FR but I would have to disagree with the above statement. Cebu city leads Manila in many categories IMO. Cleaner, better cabbies and traffic, friendlier people and better looking babes! :cool:

This statement cannot be further from the truth! Mango Square has some of the hottest clubs in Cebu and I have never had any problems even at 3:00 AM. Did you actually see people fighting? Drunk locals can be a potential problem anywhere in the world including my own backyard!

Never did a BF from Papillions but the Mango bars (especially on the north side of the street) are geared towards tourists especially Asians. What I would have done was to check with the mamasan after you spoke to the girl, just to get everything straight. BF's have been creeping up in Cebu do to the fact that some people have been cheapskates when it comes to tipping. (One bar owner told me that it was mainly Koreans). The important thing is that you had a good time and all parties were satisfied!
Finally, trying to compare Cebu to Pattaya is not fair at all. If you want to make similar comparisons, head for Angeles City!

RobAFF: Yes the Century Citadel is a dump which is surprising given its prime location. Best Western Astor is not much costlier and is much nicer, although not as nice as where you moved.
Marco Polo's LOCATION is less convenient for mongering for sure. 6000 you say? Curious how you booked it as the booking websites generally have it for under 5000.

I agree Robinsons Cof Shop and the internet cafe area nearby has potential , but that's best kept a secret for now. Personally I have only tried Bo's Robinsons once and then at the wrong time I'd say. At a guess 4pm - 6pm would be prime time ?

Mahalo for the FR but I would have to disagree with the above statement. Cebu city leads Manila in many categories IMO. Cleaner, better cabbies and traffic, friendlier people and better looking babes! :cool:

yeah,we spent only 4 days in Cebu and stayed at the Midtown Hotel, for around 65usd per day. Well, around that area was pretty ghetto, not as ghetto as where the Dolphin casa is located. I just feel Manila had more to offer. And my 2 friends, first time to PI, had major culture shock. They were uncomfortable for several days. I was like, seen that done that. Lived in Vietnam for awhile so I seen poverty stricken neighborhoods before. One sight I saw right down from my hotel that got me uneasy was a baby and mother sleeping on the sidewalk, on a cardboard mat. I mean, with no pillow or blanket, just the clothes on their backs. The baby must have only been 6 months old. Too bad they were sleeping, cause I was ready to give them some pesos. Just hit home, thinking of my daughter and all.
Yes, I'd forgotten that some Bo's have open seating -- Robinsons Cebu in particular. I met a girl in the mall lobby area, chatted her up, gave her my card and them walked over to Bo's. RobAFF: Yes the Century Citadel is a dump which is surprising given its prime location. Best Western Astor is not much costlier and is much nicer, although not as nice as where you moved.
Marco Polo's LOCATION is less convenient for mongering for sure. 6000 you say? Day 3 Bar hopping in Cebu:
We rented a car and since my buddy knows Cebu, it made for some good bar hopping.
Lonestar: Arrived around 10 pm, 25 girls and 10 punters. We met the owner in Silver Dollar the day before, so he came over and welcomed us. I was in Cebu again (for the 10th time) july 16 - 19
I prefer a hotel in Downtown because there you can always find people on the street and I had never anny problem with robbery or beggars or so (while in Osmena / Maxilon its hard to get rid of the beggars and it is easy to loose money to streetwalkers etc).
For me Downtown is the savest and cheapest but maybe for newbies it looks a little dirty , but you are close to a lot of action....And a hotel like Mercedes or new century costs no 6000P but just 1000P (twin, aircon, luxouiry room).
Just at any corner of the street you can see streetwalkers, 500P ST/1100P LT (bargaining is possible). These SWs are owned by mamasans who control whole downtown. If they dont perform good (like leaving middle at the night)or steal your money you can go back to the mamasan and (s)he will kick the girl an deliver a better one.....In Bilbao (for the newbies thats what you call Angeles City) the only garantee you get is one time sex - whatever the girl promissed to you more she can (and often) she leaves after 1x sex..
If you like a sleazy place (I mean where you realy can SEE something more then panties an bikinis) the best is Bottoms Up in Sancianko street (just at the back of Mercedes hotel). Just back from my second trip to Cebu, Aug 12 - 31st.
Sorry my repost is not as organised as some.
I knew the first day this was going to be a great trip.

You must be observant to notice the individuals at teh Starbucks on the ground floor: I failed to (but then I was with a friend so was not really looking). The Crown Towers also has Club Ultima in the twin tower, with restaurants, a pool (watch the slippery floor tiles though) and even a sleep lounge (with the lights turned on, unfortunately). I agree that staff are very friendly and your comment about tipping them well if you're on an extended stay is completely 'on the money' (correct in every respect). However although I have only visited it for a quick drink in the afternoon and not at night, Liza's Sea Fun Pub in Mandaue City (tell taxis to go to 'Manpark' - cemetery) may be better than the Silver Dollar at which I have not been to.

My recommendation would be ACE pension, located across the street from Gaisano mall. When I stayed there last year, they were making many improvements to the property. Rooms have tile floors and are spacious. Walking distance to some of the clubs.
Crown Regency has a location there too but I have yet to try it.
There are also numerous pensions and even a Queensland!

i bought the smart bro wireless modem in sept in cebu for 3800 p and was very disappointed in the service. it worked fine at e mall where i bought it but at the hotel in lahug it would either not connect or connect but then the connection would drop after 10 to 20 min online. took it back to smart and they would not give me a refund. i tried it in davao cagayan de oro , butuan and dipolog and the only reliable connection was in davao. globe has the same type of service for only 2950 so i may try that when i go back for 6 weeks in feb

Or is there a better way to "do " this. I'm thinking maybe I can get one more short time in after she's gone, but am I pushing it? Is it far from the Richmond to the airport? Heck, I guess with a 6 a. M. Flight, she'd need to be there at 4. So we'd need to leave at 3? Maybe I just stay up?

It was just pointed out to that the fares do not include the additions and they make the fares 3 or 4 times higher.

Instead have your girl meet you in Manila and both of you fly to Bohol. Will save you time.
Since this is your first trip to P.I., you need to check out AC for a day or two on the front end!

my experience with the smartbro residential wireless modem service is that location relative to an antenna access point is everything. if you're close enough, the webcam will work fine with the 999p service. the tech let you know as much. globe is the same situation, but they will likely have different locations for their antenna access points so you could try them.

I agree that the Casa Verde is good. The ribs are excellent, and it's hard to find barbecue ribs in the Philippines. I think it's a good place to take a date (not a first date), because it's upscale, centrally located, but neither outrageously expensive nor too fancy.

french baker at sm has been talked about for many years now. in fact sm was the first one , ayala was built after sm. its rather amusing to go f. baker and see who is sitting there ogling the passing girls.
a slightly better chance at sm cause more working class girls and unemployed types there , but problem is too many are giggling little **** girls , walking past , smiling at joe , not thinking of being picked up by a guy twenty thirty or more years older than themselves. girls smiling at foreigners is not all that unusual in cebu city. they are friendly , but does not necessarily mean they want to be picked up. you will not find many , if any girls , sitting inside f. baker itself eating or drinking. its not their kind of filipino place. anyway more maturer approachable girls at ayala. my experience anyway.
have a look at the guys at french baker sm , for me rather amusing.
by the way , i have had that place under surveillance for many years and have never seen any guy call a girl across and chat to her , or pick up a girl ex french baker. not saying it does not happen , but difficult to stop the passing girls in their tracks and get them to come across to your table , difficult. some distance between you and the girls. and usually the front row table seats are taken. only one , sometimes two front row tables by the way , and if sitting at a table behind any of those , you have got no chance. add to that , no alcohol served at f baker , boring. dont worry , i have checked it out , on and off over the years , lol.
as i said before , if you walk around these malls , you have a slightly better chance. for starters you can walk within an inch of the girl and say hello etc. sitting down , expecting girls to come to your table rarely works , unless your gods gift to women. i got a very good regular girl this way once , but only once. she sat at the table next to me. rest is history.
overall , malls are only a chance , no certainty , thats for sure , other than hard core hookers who daily patrol such places , and cheeky enough to approach you at your table. even then not many of those anyway. nowadays , management's policy requires security staff to keep hookers out of the malls , best they can.

So , single girls frequent that place , not on my visits , but you seem to visit FB more than me , so you would know.
Smiling glad eyed girls sitting down at a nearby table , when your on your own , is usually easy enough to pull off , if your not waiting for your wife , that is. You have to join their table , a lady will not normally get up and join yours. Hookers will come across to your table of course. Generally good girls will feel uncomfortable doing that.
But it's still sitting around and a long shot at best , cause those kind of opportunities described , do not come around every day. Walking the walk , and passing cellphone numbers to girls working in shops , has been the most effective way for me.
Elsewhere at SM you can sit and drink beer , and outdoors on a balcony with tree views if you wish , but no girl traffic passing by. Nice place to read a book , or meet a wife lol.

Since I was unable to travel in October due to my father's passing, I am rescheduling for late February. I will spend a couple of nights in Manila and then I am planning on meeting a girl I know in Cebu and staying two nights, then maybe Bohol for an night, then back to Cebu for a night before back to MNL and Angeles. I'm thinking about Midtown Hotel.
However, what I"m wondering is since I want to spend the one day and night in Bohol (all I really have time for) accompanied by my woman friend, should I even bother to check out and upon my return from my one night at Bohol check back into my Cebu Hotel (possibly Midtown Hotel) or should I just not bother to check out of my Cebu Hotel since I might be able to leave stuff there while I'm in Bohol, etc. I figure it might be too much of a hassle to carry my bigger suitcase as well as a smaller one to Bohol for just a one day and night trip and so maybe it'd be better to just not check out of my Cebu Hotel.
Anyone who has any advice based on their own experience or opinion?

Check out and leave your big bags with the hotel. They will be OK with it if you can show you are checking back in. The charges for the baggage should not be more than 50P.

I don't know your financial situation, but if I was gone just one night I would leave everything in my room, as is, let the front desk know I might be gone one night (discreetly), just take what you need for the one night. Sometimes the ferry gets cancelled, etc. , you might not go as planned to Bohol. Just a thought.

Any ideas, where to go? I used to go to Finland massage and had some very good experience there. But the recent posts about it are not so great. Any news on that? I stay near Robinson Plaza. I know there are sometimes girls there. Any idea for a practical ST hotel nearby? Any news on casas with ST rooms?

Your talking about Hana Valley 3 in Banilad. It's a Casa. Only time I visited them was at night time and they had sufficient pretty ones there for anyones taste. They were smiling and friendly too. Was tempted. Did not take any though, just a curiosity thing at the time. Had someone else waiting for me. Not cheap, if I remember rightly. Bit spooky, get locked in behind high steel doors with plenty of goons hanging around. Before heading out there, phone Happy Valley and find out their hours Ph 232 1159

Um, Taxi driver and doorman should all know Gate 3. God knows they kept trying to get me to go there every time I was in Cebu. (About 3 times in the last 6 months)
You might also want to try Lisa's SeaFun Pub. Currently I am too lazy to look up the directions or the phone number, but a good forum search should return results and postings. Never tried it myself, but when I met a fellow ISGer in Cebu in July it came highly recommended.
Really dude, you should have no problem getting your business done in that amount of time. However, sometimes the stars are not aligned correctly, the dogs aren't howling, the tide is not right, etc, etc.

I heard silverdollars has about 8 gros working in the daytime. If you go give us a report. Last Saturday went to egypt about a 20 minute cab outside of cebu city. There were about 25 girls its a nice place but not worth the cab ride. I didn't see anything above a 7 at best. Also about casa verde it looks like they will be opening at ayla soon.

Very good idea Mr. H. I just completed a 7-day Cebu-Dumaguete vacation and I was supposed to go back to Cebu by the Ocean Jet. A tropical storm was coming through and due to the recent vessels going down here in the Philippines, the Philippine Coast Guard cancelled all ocean going crafts:( Have a plan, but always have a backup plan. I had to fly to Manila and back to Cebu.

Last time I was there it was closed and undergoing renovation. Big mama Tina, who used to work there, told me that they were busting it up into two separate bars.
As the long timers already know, they chopped off about a quarter of BH several years ago to make a new bar.

Cebu-Tacloban is being made a daily flight, and they have added Siargao and Legazpi flights from Cebu also. Now if SOMEBODY would just start flying to Camiguin from Cebu again I'd really be happy.
Thanks for the info (new January flights to Dumaguete and Tacloban), but surprised that they wait until after the holidays.
I'm thinking of flying from Cebu to Tacloban next trip and then bus to Ormoc/ferry back to Cebu.
As for Dumaguete - Cebu, you might consider crossing the strait (15min?), then using the bus (2hrs). Or vice versa. Door to door, it would probably be 5 hours. I don't have the statistics about Ocean Jet vs bus accidents, but I've never had a worry on either route.

X Man is correct; Cebu to Dumaguete is about 5 hours.
You can either take a bus from the south station which drops everyone off at Bato, then you take a ferry across and catch a jeepney in Tampi to get to Dumaguete.
Another option is the aircon bus which drives directly onto the ferry, then drives off in Negros to Dumaguete.
Dumaguete is a great trip and a welcome break from Cebu City.
Is there a bar at the SOGO? The reason I ask is because this is not an area you want to be in after dark.

There isn't a bar at Sogo, but I believe you can order a beer in the room.
There are a couple of bikini bars at the corner of Pelaez and Sanciangko. These are places I'm very careful of. There's also thye Sesame Haus up the street on Pelaez. (Pass on Magic Tony's Bar, it's a ripoff.)

Someone asked me about changes to Black Hole a while back. Stopped by yesterday and it is a tiny place with a rather poor lineup. Next door is a place called Black Hole Purple. The door was locked. It appears the place has been split in half.
Bar fines still 1700 in this area. I overheard a mamsan telling the girl the the barfine covers three hours and it was up to the girl if she wanted to stay longer. This surprised me. My lady stayed thru breakfast and then wanted to travel with me together. She was nice enough, but I have other fish to fry.
Prices of knock off Cialis / Viagra are lower than expected. I had to bargain down to 400 per box of four on my last trip. I think you could get two boxes for 500 now. I'm not sure if the quality is the same since I haven't bought any yet on this trip.
Gecko's is for sale. Gecko's is an expat bar and is a good place to shoot the shit or pickup info from some of the regulars. They sell knock off drugs according to a sign in the rest room.
Not far from the convention center is a new place called Bulldog KTV. It might be worth a visit, but I rarely get out to that area except when I'm on my way to/from the airport.
Hotels: Fuente Pension 1000 pesos was recommended by an expat retiree I talked to. He was visiting from CDO. Holiday Plaza rooms are 2100, rooms are a bit ratty, but you have to love the breakfast buffet. The rooftop restaurant is also a great place for a date with a chat friend – great view and you should always need to pick something up in your room on your way down from the roof.
Diplomat Hotel is a place I used to like, but it was hard to book when one of the language schools put up all their Korean students in the hotel. Apparently the language school has moved over to Lapu Lapu. Clean rooms and some have good views. I was on the top floor – 8th floor. Unfortunately, the ground floor cafe/bakery is long gone. Now they have a spa. I saw a bunch of spa female employees hanging about, but none were attractive enough for me to make a seduction attempt. What goes on inside the spa is on the up and up as far as I can tell.

At the present time, Juliana is the hottest disco in Cebu. Located in Mango Square, it is among numerous other karaokes and discos. The best time to pick up women is Thursday (ladies night dance contest), Friday and Saturday nights but you can get lucky anytime!
The security is good with a guard even posted on stage when it is busy. Drinks are reasonable and the food is decent. There is somewhat of a dress code as my buddy found out the hard way. No sandals/slippers, sleeveless shirts. There is a cover charge on the weekends but that includes a drink.
TIP 1: Order a drink and tip the waiter well then ask who is available for P4P. These hard working waiters know all and see all.
TIP 2: For all you slugs who cannot or will not dance, you can still score without going inside! On some nights when the weather is good, they set up plastic tables and chairs (similar to Pump) where you can get table service. Many times there are groups of women hanging out waiting for a guy to come along.
One night I was feeling tired so I just sat down outside for a drink. Minutes later a group of six ladies sat down. Turns out they were all from Jaguar and on the prowl. Picked one out and we walked back to my room. Unfortunately, she flunked my inspection and had warts so I threw her back.
This place also attracts baklas so you have to be careful. One early morning around 5:00 am I saw a Euro guy dancing with one. He had his beer goggles on and was oblivious.
Included are a couple of unauthorized photos. Had many good photos of the caliber of talent available on a Friday night but management made me delete them.
I arrived in Cebu today (Sunday). I'll be here for 2-3 weeks if any of you fellow mongers want to meet for a drink/coffee in order to share info. Just PM me here, please.

Good question. Yes, you probably can. I know that with Superferry you can purchase the ticket and have her pick it up at the ferry terminal office from which she will depart. She pays P75 to pick up, P40 for Cebu Ferries handled through Superferry computers. You can also specify that any refund may only be made to you. I don't know about the fast ferries (Ocean Jet, Weesam) between Cebu and Dumaguete. Ask them.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it. If you are prebooking a room then make sure the information is passed along about your arrival time. I kind of doubt you'll have a problem getting a decent hotel room even without booking ahead. I think a lot of flights come in at odd times to Cebu, so it's not unusual.

I will be flying out of Bangkok and I was wondering if anyone knows of any direct flights to Cebu? I have checked several travel websites and all list a stop-over in Manila. Has anyone taken this route recently?
I also have not booked my Cebu hotel room yet since my exact dates have not been finalized and I am fully aware that the Sinulog festival is next week. I plan to arrive in Cebu on either the 19th or the 20th and book at the Parklane. I have searched this thread and read some posts on the Parklane and I like the location next to Ayala Center as a backup plan in case my FH contacts do not pan out.
The asiatravel website lists the Parklane as having available rooms, is it better to call the hotel direct or can I trust asiatravel? I was thinking of booking a Superior room for 4 or 5 days when FH gal#1 is with me and then switching to a boutique room on the weekend when FH gal#2 is supposed to be free.

I always use AsiaTravel and have never had a propblem, when I have changed dates etc they have responded to my emails almost immediatly and made the updates no problems at all. Normally their prices are much better than direct from the hotels but am not sure about Parklane.

I have booked the Parklane twice through Asiatravel and I also have had no problems. I would recommend the club level. My first stay was on club level and it was 10 times nicer then the regular rooms. Also, club level has free wifi.
I had good luck in the Ayala mall and I walked (daytime) from Mango street to Parklane. Very interesting walking, verus jumping into cab and flying by.

Found a little bar, past PLane,just further up the road away from Ayala, and it was quite nice. Sorry, I don't remember the name. I have it written down somewhere....I was early and it was empty, except for one fairly attractive woman. I was in the mood for San Miguel ONLY, and I assumed the gal was one of the staff or friend of the staff.
As I swallowed the last bit of refreshement and called over the waiter, she walked out. When I walked out shortly thereafter, she was in front, but nowhere near the door. I glanced over, but she was on the phone. I wasn't on high energy alert, but ATFact feeling antenna suggested that she was game.
Has anyone been in the bar past 9pm?

No this will be my first trip to the Philippines. My travel dates are right after the Sinulog festival and alot of the other hotels looked booked up on the asiatravel website. Thanks for the heads-up on the lack of activity in that location, hopefully alot of action will be within the room.
I have seen so-so reviews on tripadvisor, but since it was near the Ayala mall and close to shopping with my FH freebie it will be ok for a few days until some of the other Hotels have cleared out.

The lobby is magnificent, the casino is in the hotel, lots of women hang out in the lobby, has good eating at their overpriced restaurants. Rooms starting to wear out..close by is the Marriott at Ayala-can walk to ayala mall and some action. Depends on your taste. If you want to be in the center of Cebu city, then Midtown Hotel located over Robinson's mall or Holiday Plaza is best. Can read the forum for more choices.

I flew into Cebu last week from Clark. I arrived late (midnight) due to flight delays. I booked the Days Inn hotel, due to short 6 hour layover. When I arrived the bellhop who took me to my room asked if I wanted a girl. Due to the hour and early wake up call, I told him yes, if she could arrive in 15 minutes and she is maganda. About 20 minutes later, I got a knock and in walked a 21 year old, 5' 5" maganda Chinese Filipina. I asked for ID and she asked why. I told her that I didn't know her and wanted to ensure she was legal. She gave me her U of Cebu ID card. 2000P and she stayed until I checked out and she was awesome. Said that she was in college and only worked when she needed money.
So, if a bellhop offers you company, it may be a good thing.

Your are correct, a new hotel next to Midtown did open about 6 months ago, I visited it while staying at the Midtown, but is too "sterile" for me. Midtown has more "character", and for me anyways, much better positioned than the Marriott. It is still a hike to the ayala mall, whereas Robinson is just downstairs, and at night one can walk to Silver Dollar, Volvo, Black Hole, etc.
But, I have stayed at the Marriott and they do have much better rooms than Midtown, so you other guys, try a few nights at each and see which you like better..good thing we don't all stay "inn" the same place.

I'm sure that is what they are referring to. While it may have been open over a year ago, there was still quite a bit of construction going on when I was there six months ago. Six months ago posted rate was $80, in Dec it was $100.
It is the tallest building in Cebu city, possibily the tallest outside of Makati. On the top they have some kind of outside sky seats that go on rails around the building and tilt just in case you aren't already scared shtless. Cost seemed high, but I don't remember what it was.
I wasn't interested, but it would probably be worth a spin if you had a date with a chat lady.

I am at the Crown Regency right now, using the free wifi in the lobby. Supposed to be free in-room wifi but I just could not get the dang thing to work. Connection issues once again. I put my Trojans over the USB cable and inserted it in the port like some techy dude on the internet told me to do so I could have an extra safe firewall, but all I heard was someone laughing in the next room and whispering "UCLA kicks ass" over and over again. Kidding.
I'm booked in a Tower1 deluxe room the past three days ($65US-Night) and it's a nice comfy room, marble bathroom, free buffet breakfast for two, small fridge, very good views, good location right next door to Silver Dollar and a one minute walk to Robinsons at the Osmena Circle. The only downside is no in-room safe and dirty filthy windows no matter what floor you look out of, but I did not book this place to look out the windows all day long.
I will move tomorrow into Tower2 and a Corner Suite room ($70US-Night) because I only booked my first three nights in advance just in case this hotel turned out to be a dump. It's not.
I have stayed hooked up with a FH freebie cutie all week, and tomorrow I will cut her loose and test the waters to see if I can land a non-pro freebie on the ground here. Hmmm, I am not sure that can be done in a few hours, I get alot of smiles and looks but since I'm new in the RP I have not learned what each look means yet. Just in case I have Silver Dollar next door and I noticed on the way to the Citibank near Ayala Mall the string of Black Hole and other bars all in a neat row. My other FH connections will show up this weekend, and I kick myself for booking them close together but I'm sure one will back out and I will deal with having two tampo girls on my hands if they both want to stay in my room.
Pretty sure this hotel will provide a nice Walk Of Shame for anyone who stayes here, but who cares, as long as the gal is not a starfish it will be worth it.

I've seen stunners one night and then came back the next day to pay barfine, but she'd taken the "day off". Probably off to Panglao with some DOM like myself. I like to drink and am a procrastinator -- which somtimes means that around 1am I find myself settling for something less than I could have had.
As of early January, Dimples had some really nice ladies. One was just 18 and was the sweetest thing. I never barfined her though. In the past I've hated Dimples because the volume was too high to talk. It's still a bit too high, but it's better than before. An interesting thing about Dimples / Papillon is that you can move to the other bar without walking outside.

I know where Black Hole is located, is Vikings in the same small batch of clubs right next to one another, or further away? Just wondering because if it's further away a cab would be required for safety reasons IMHO.

Yes I looked around yesterday for the bar and the restaurants. I found what looked to be a really good Chinese Buffet which was 400pesos for lunch and 450pesos for dinner buffet. The place looked ok, and it was full of Japanese businessmen inside. I did not actually go and look at what dishes they had but I might try it this weekend.
As for the bar I found two roof-top bars that were totally deserted. The bar facilities looked like they had not been used since New Years, and there was not one bottle to be found anywhere inside. Maybe there is a bar in tower2, but the ones in tower1 look deserted.
I checked into my corner suite this afternoon. Nice curved room, large sofa and sitting area. In room safe, large condo sized wardrobe, alot of large windows. The only downside is right outside my window they are working on the new Tower3 Crown Regency addition. Uggg, looks like sleep will be hard to come by the next few days with construction workers 80ft from my window.
One other thing I hate about the tower2 suite design is the stupid layout. I came back from SM Mall around 3pm and I go to the bell boys in tower1 to get my bags, he escorts me over to tower2, through security, and to the elevator. We go up to level 19 and check in. The girl tells me my room is on the 12th floor, so we now have to take a second set of elevators and go down several floors. To access the 12th floor you need to insert your room key in a reader inside the elevator to be able to get the elevator to stop. Guess what, my card did not work several times in the first few hours. Uugg. So now I go back up to the desk and get them to load my card again. As I stand there at the reception desk on the 19th floor, a stunning dime walks. Err. Parades past us. Both the bellhop and myself kept our eyes in tandem fully glued to her ass. So Friday night has come and gone and I spent a few hours at the Silver Dollar. First impressions: decent setting, really agressive bar girls, not alot of quality girls.

I scratched out a map for those of you who are planning a pub crawl. Lone Star and Temptation are both worth a visit, but are easily missed if you didn't already know where they are. Silver Dollar and Geckos are the only two that are open early. I think the rest open at 8pm.
You can easily hit all these places on foot. The walk to Lone Star is dark and there are a lot of homeless families on the west side of the supermarket.

The one that says "Club Ultima". That's the name of the Crown Regency time-share raquette they tried to push on me and every other hotel guest. From what I understand the highest floors of tower2 are reserved for Club Ultima members. I see no need to buy when I can rent both my bed and the girl(s) in it IMHO. lol. I know where Black Hole is located, is Vikings in the same small batch of clubs right next to one another, or further away? Just wondering because if it's further away a cab would be required for safety reasons IMHO.
If you are walking and Black Hole is on your right side, Vikings and BG's and the other club aren't much further down the street. You might have to walk past a vacant lot but it's real close. Same services are all over in Manila, if in Malate I use the one at 1647 Adriatico St., The Fabulous Laundry. If you stay at Las Palmas they will deliver the laundry to your room.
Much cheaper to have laundry done on the outside, because they charge by the pound (or kg) and not the piece. (Maybe the BGs should do that?)
Hawaii, I've used the same place and they delivered to the Holiday Plaza (lobby - not the room). And if you want a rush job, just pay more -- it's still far cheaper than the hotel fees.

Ask your concierge to send them out for you. MIne in the Crown Regency would call his sister, she would come and collect, wash tem and he would return the next day. COst about 15% of the hotels charge. I would always give him a 100 or 2 extra for the great service.

Hotel laundry is usually a ripoff.
I have mine done by the Shamrock on Pelaez street. You might ask the maid if she knows someone who can do the laundry. There are a lot of women who would appreciate the chance to earn the extra cash.
A cheap friend of mine was always on the lookout for a girlfriend who would do his laundry for him!
I try to cut down on my laundry. I wear swim trunks with underwear in them so I don't have to wash both shorts and the underwear, and I get quick drying t-shirts. I wash one pair of shorts and t-shirt in the sink and hang them to dry, while wearing the other shorts and t-shirt, then repeat the cycle.
Of course, I don't wear shorts and t-shirts all the time. But I don't wear slacks, underwear, socks, and nice shirts all the time, either.
It doesn't just save on money, sooner or later you'll need a pair of slacks and everything will be at the wash, or it'll rain and all your clothes that were outside drying will need another day. The less laundry you need to have done outside, the less likely you are to be inconvenienced.

I usually stay at the Midtown Hotel in Cebu, which is directly above Robinsons, no need to exit the bldg. when venturing into the mall. The casino is across the street, by Mercury Drugs, in another hotel. I think it is Garfield Hotel? When I made reservations for this March they said they have new TVs in the rooms (29" as opposed to their old 20", I think). They did go thru major renovations the last few years, for me, I just love the location.
Anyways, rooms run about 3000p, which includes their bkfast buffet, not that good. Reservations at 32-253-9711.
Taxi from airport - walk across the road in front of the airport, up the steep stairs, and take a meter taxi that has just dropped off passengers in the departure area. It will be half the price of the ones directly in front of the door as you exit the airport.
Hell, almost forgot a most important bit of information about the hotel. Yes, they are girl friendly, HOWEVER, depending on who is working the front desk, if they see you bring a girl to your room after 11pm, they might charge you double occupancy. It happened to me one time..I complained to the manager, saying I was not given advance notice, he said it is "new policy", but since I had stayed there for my trips for the past 10 yrs., "no charge".
I forget the name of the girl at the desk, but I will check if she is there in March. The guys don't care, just smile and wave. But you know how some women can be. If they give you grief, check out Holiday Plaza on Ramos St., an easy walk from Midtown Hotel. I think Midtown wanted 300p for the "double occupancy".

My problem was that I booked only for myself, then brought back a girl at about 11PM and some witch/***** at the front desk saw me and said that I had to pay 300p for my guest, because I had booked the room only for myself. If the guys are on duty, no problem.
They make a big deal out of the breakfast included with your room, and you cannot get a discount even if you say you don't want the breakfast. Anyway, that has been my experience in the 10 yrs. or so that I have stayed there. They started the extra charge idea about 2 yrs. ago, if I remember correctly.

Yes, the hotel is gf, and they will never stop you from bringing a girl to your room. Especially since you booked a room for 2 people, NO problem. My problem was that I booked only for myself, then brought back a girl at about 11PM and some witch/***** at the front desk saw me and said that I had to pay 300p for my guest, because I had booked the room only for myself. Best way. Leave at 6:30am, no traffic. To airport is about 25 minutes. Let the taxi go, wait for you girl, then when she arrives, the "official" airport taxis are about 450pesos. Just cross the street in front of the airport and walk up the stairs to where the taxis drop off the "departure" fares. They pick up fares going back to the city. Meter rate is about 170p, I think. You will know exactly how much because you will read the meter on your way to the airport. The taxi that picks you up at the Midtown will use his meter!! If not, just get out and report him to the guard at the hotel street entrance.
You could probably leave at 7am and still make it. Real traffic starts at 8am, but is mostly in city center, around your hotel.

It all depends on traffic at that hour, and that will again vary from day to day. I have not taken a taxi back to the airport from Cebu City at that time but there are only a few bad traffic pinch points close to the old bridge and again near the entrance to the new bridge that ties up traffic but the wait should not that long.
Cebu's traffic moves alot compaired with the nightmare traffic problems that Manila has. I once took a cab from the Crown Regency hotel on Osmena Boulevard (which is next to Midtown) and took the new bridge over to Mactan and past the airport to Lapu-Lapu so my GF could drop her bags off at a relatives place, then back past the airport and returned via the old bridge and we ended our journey at SM Mall. This cab ride was only around 300pesos including tip and he drove pretty slow compaired with some other taxi drivers. So your taxi ride to the airport should be around 150pesos give or take 20 pesos, and should take 20-30 minutes max and always tell the taxi driver you want him to take the new bridge. You should also tell the taxi driver you want to go to "Arrivals" and not "Departues", this will save you alot of headaches because if he does drop you off at arrivals you can't go into the terminal without showing a boarding pass and passport for the day in question and you will have to ask a few guards how to get downstairs to the arrivals level.
Just a tip on taxi drivers in Cebu. You will see a yellow sticker on the windshield that says "Actual Fair plus 10 Pesos". This is a good rule of thumb to use for taxi's in Cebu and I usually tip them the standard 10 pesos tip. The taxi drivers in Cebu are pretty honest and will not drive you around in circles or take crazy detours like taxi drivers in Bangkok will. Chances are if they take a side street it's because they want to get you there faster. Of course there are always exeptions, but having a philippino woman with you will help and will cut the chances of a merry-go-round ride from 5% to almost zero.
I was just wondering if you have met your GF in person yet or not, since you mentioned this was your first trip to the Philippines. If not, then you are doing exactly what I did three weeks ago. I met someone on FH but she lived in General Santos and she knew I would only be going to Manila and Cebu on my trip so she offered to fly to Cebu to meet me, and we met for the first time at the airport. The airport is not that big but make sure you know exactly what she will be wearing and what color bags she has just to make sure you can spot her. Also have a backup meeting area incase her flight arrives early or is late, which is often the case in the Philippines. I used the small metal gate-fence on the right hand side at the taxi stand to wait for my GF because my flight from Manila arrived an hour early into Cebu. Also chances are you will not be allowed into the terminal building at the arrivals baggage section either, and you will have to wait just outside the doors.
I plan on being back in Cebu soon, so I would like to hear what you thought of Cebu and the Midtown hotel.

Excellent choice of hotels for your first time in P.I. Midtown in centrally located, all the girls in cebu know where it is, and you can shop in Robinson's mall, including the supermarket, without leaving the bldg. and going outside. When your taxi drops you off at the street level of the hotel you will have to climb a flight of stairs, then turn left to the set of 2 elevators that take you to the hotel lobby(if you go straight you go into the mall). Check in and take a different set of elevators to your room. When ready to go to the mall, take elevators to lobby, then turn right, turn right again to the set of elevators that will go to the landing that leads to stairs of street or inside the mall. The supermarket is on bottom level of mall, along with a good money changer. Buy your bottled water and snacks here.
Take your girl to SM mall or Ayala mall. They are the best. Local malls include Gaisano (all over the place - metro, colon, south, etc.). Hope thats not too confusing.
besides the excellent info from Hawaii, you may have a problem with the Cebu taxi leaving cebu to the airport. At that early hour, and traveling to the airport, they often expect a premium - especially when you have a suitcase. Fk em, they can get a ride coming out of the airport, you're doing them a great favor.
Ask for the meter, give a small tip, and follow Hawaii advice. The door men at my regular hotel know me and when I say I want a meter taxi they hail one on the road. The taxis waiting by the hotel expect double or triple fare, mostly because they've been waiting there for a long time to find someone who is lazy enouch, or rich enough, or stupid enought to pay an exorbitant fee.
In Cebu, you pay the fare rather easily -- in Manila you have to pull teeth. ANd I do have a few teeth notched into my belt.

Taxis are as good or bad you want to make them anywhere in the world in my opinion.
I see lots talk about meters etc. And that is true that lots will try and flat rate you at a higher rate.
Just do not take it personal, demand the meter, and if the guy is a jackal get another.
I have never had much problem in Cebu, ofcourse it does pop up, once had a guy claim he didn't know how to get to Silver Dollar from Kukus Nest, he gave me a further spin and when we arived I just paid him what I thought was fair I think I gave him 60 pesos. And hit the road.

If you need to change the terminal no need to worry, There is a free Shuttle that travels between terminal, This is official service no charge.
Terminal 1
Terminal 1 is the original International Terminal and is known as the NAIA Terminal where all international flights
arrive except Philippine Airlines (PAL). This is the terminal which you will more than likely arrive in. It is old
and can be a challenge but I’ll get to that in a minute.
Terminal 2
The second terminal is known as Centennial Terminal. It is for the exclusive use of the Philippines National carrier,
Philippines Airlines (PAL). The terminal itself is relatively new, opening in 1999 and is modern and spacious.
It caters for both Domestic and International PAL only flights.
Terminal 3
This is the newest terminal and CebuPesific uses that terminal (at the time of my travel)
Money Matters:
Immediately after customs asked for the ATM there are couple of them on your left side of Hall.
I used couple of times the ATM and Mostly exchanged Money While I was in Angeles.
I was at the Terminal 2 in 15 Min. My Flight for Cebu was at 15:00 Tried to change it to early flight it wasn't possible as this was the discounted ticket and not changeable/refundable
CEBU:
Flight was on time arrive 15:45 in Cebu. and as soon I came out She was waiting out side. I had booked the Plaza Hotel on line (P 990)and they also arrange the airport pickup (P 400 ) I had asked them to pick my GF and than pick me up So they were waiting for me out side.
Plaza Hotel was around 30 min drive and the driver asked for P 800 ( 400 for making additional stop to pick my GF) Checked in We were in Business :) took a bath together She was hot and aggressive :)
After that went for Food in the Shopping mall and than Back for More action.
Next Day Received a call from Reception that Her Aunt is waiting at reception . Hun.. We did it again before going down.
At reception her Aunt was there with her Family in a small Bus ...What is going on ... She wanted to take me to her Village where it was birthday party of my GF's Nephew ( During My Chats with GF she did mentioned the Birthday to me, I never agreed to go ) I told Her I will not be able to go but will wait for her. Went to Mall for Lunch meet there 2 Girls chatted with them asked for their Number and Call them later asked for the Date (Movie) to one of them whom I liked more She agreed.

She was ok with That and asked me to contact her when I come Back to Cebu. Called Cebu Pacific Air and booked the 16:00 flight to Manila.

Of course it needs to be chica friendly. Marco Polo seems a bit out from where one wants to be, or am I wrong? I have got superb advices earlier by Sxxx amongst others, but this was for hotels a notch below what I need for this short visit. I also got advice about Jetsetter and Waterfront, but do not know which is adviceable in terms of location? Since it is only 2-3 nights the price range is not so important. Would be great if I can use Hotels.com or AsiaRooms.com for reservation since this normally means a better rate, but at least in Davao this limits the number of hotel option to almost nothing.
I understood from the RODs that Viking bar or Silver Dollar is a good start, or rather end for a full night out in Cebu. I am not used to those bars at all, since the Davao scene is totally different but I'll give it a try. Any other advice where to find a pretty girl for the night? Don't mind at all to work a bit to find a woman that didn't suck 1000 meters of dick before me, that week, i.e. to go to a regular bar/club/disco before desperation drives me to the strip clubs. OK, thanks for the updated info, but if I am not mistaken the taxi's in Cebu run on LPG? I did however notice that some taxi's had the yellow sticker and some did not and I just figured the 10php was a standard charge.
IMHO I would still tip the 10php though on any fair over 100php as 10php = 25cents or less depending on your Countries conversion. Under 100php I usually tip around 5php.

I prefer the Marriott as next to Ayala and business like and for it was great for mongering. Nowehere is really far away and certainly I got to Vikings et al easily enough, taxis are cheap, and SM Mall is close (taxi).
You could try Parklane Hotel, not been there but heard good reports, also close to Ayala though. MP is nice but can be a bit out but as I said taxis are cheap. Waterfront I am not keen on but others like it and it is close (ish)
Hoteltravel is what I use and currently Parklane is $78 per night compared with much higher for the others.

Try Parklane (am there was a FR on this a while back or maybe it was teh new hotel X says but RTFF and you will find). But both Marriott and Parklane are nice. Midtown for me is a dump but then each to his own and his budget is different.

Well I tried Casa Gate 3 for the first time after reading reports here and on the advice of the cabbies. My most recent cabbie told me that the girls at Casa will provide good service (won't leave early) and are cleaner. He also said that the girls at Honquera are not clean, have diseases, and don't provide good service. In my opinion I think the opposite maybe true, although I think reports in this forum tend to corroborate the cabbie. Well after visiting Gate 3, I thought the casa girls looked pretty hard core with plenty of mileage whereas I was expecting girls similar to in the discos, considering the amount of money that you have to pay.
I admit it's only one time and possibly many girls had returned home for the new year so the selection could be better at another time, but I don't think I'll be trying Gate 3 again anytime soon. The pimp wasn't friendly at all and was kind of rude to the cabbie, asking him to hurry as he was taking a [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) as we were leaving. He tried to get me to pay 3000peso but I stuck with 2500 as that is what my cabbie originally told me. I was in the bright pink room with about 20 girls but few were any better than a 6. I picked the best looking girl (7.5) but as many of you know, good looks many times equals bad service, but not always. In this case, the girl named Hazel (maybe 20yo) even told me in the hotel room once we entered my hotel room that her service wasn't good. Not a good sign at all.
Hazel had a great slim bod but her face was kind of squished and made her look older. She was basicly a scam artist, obviously coached by other girls at the Casa. She basicly said she had only been with one other guy and was basicly still had a virgin pussy and tits. She was definitely inexperienced but only because I'm guessing she doesn't actually do the deed with customers. She kept complaining that my little soldier was "too big". She kept saying that it hurt and to "stop" even before I even entered her. Yes she said the 4-letter word that guys dread, and this was in the Diplomat which has pretty thin doors and walls. Even though I tried many times, I never actually fully entered her. I laugh every time guys in this forum actually believe how much bigger they are than other guys, especially asian guys. Here's a story that may be interesting for some. Filipinos are really friendly people and have a good soul in general. I got to know an armed security guard at a disco and he offered to take me to find girls that were a lot cheaper than at the disco (i.e. Honquera). He was kind of a simpleton and I didn't really need his help but actually it worked out OK. He didn't bring his gun with him (thank god) but he accompanied me on some trips. Of course he was mainly in it for the money but it was kind of nice having him with me, instead of just the cabbie. He never tried to scam me and never asked for a tip or to be paid but of course I tipped him well. I stayed safe in my cab as he herded up the girls and negotiated the payment. I think I would gave him 500peso to pay the cabbie so maybe he had 400peso left for himself. I can't remember how much he was getting paid by the disco but it was really small so 400peso was a lot to him. I think he did get free housing though from his job.
Sometimes I actually felt bothered by him because he kind of latched onto me. It happens sometimes so it's a good idea to have multiple SIMs else you'll get SMS's all the time.
I probably was taking some risk since he could have turned out to be a bad guy, but I figured it was minimal since he was working at the disco and I had his mobile number. I'm also a fairly good judge of character but again you never know.
I tried to SMS him recently though and he didn't respond. He wasn't at work too so I guess he must have moved on. I wish him and his family well.

Stayed there for 3 nights as mentioned. It's a decent hotel, I think comfort and service-wise a notch above the Parklane, which I always find some fault with due to their "scrimping" mentality.
Downside: I don't like the mobs of non-guest gawkers swarming the place and heading up to the top floor for the view and the carnival attractions...they are very annoying. The neighborhood lacks decent restaurants, unless you are willing to go to the Mango Ave bars, which I could not do with my gf in tow. But taxis are always there, and are correct about turning on the meter. So, on the whole I would stay there again if I had to be more or less uptown. Girl-friendliness level seemed probably very high, since they cannot tell who is going to the 19th floor and who's going for a shag...

I almost forgot, a newer hotel is the Crown Regency. It is the tallest building in Cebu. I've never stayed there, so can't recommend it.Expensive walk-in 5000+ (just 3000 on asiatravel dot com) , big nice rooms, nice view.
Very good buffet dinner 450p - 650 p depending on your choice of 1 to 3 restaurants to visit same day. A winner for a nice girls heart.
Skytour at 38th floor, a scary attraction where you hang outside the walls of the hotel. They also have a 4D cinema there, havent tried.
Maybe an excellent place to invite a normal girl, and just the elevator down to your room...

The Crown Regency Fuente Osmena Tower 1 has two entrances, and both have a metal detector and are manned by security guards 24hours a day. If the guards recognise you as a guest they smile and open the doors and don't even bother to look twice even if the metal detector rings. Which it did every time for me because of my laptop and watch. If they do not recognise you or if you look local you will be stopped, possibly searched and definitely questioned.
The same is true for Tower 2. The entrance is manned 24hours a day by guards and there is a metal detector you must pass through. You then take an elevator up to the 18th floor where you are confronted by two more security guards and you must pass through a second metal detector before being allowed access to the secondary suite lobby, business center and suite rooms located several floors below.
Recently I have stayed in both towers for well over a week and once I was known as a guest I could walk into or out of the hotel's areas with no problem at all. Every single GF that I brought into the Crown Regency was stopped upon entrance and her purse was looked into no matter what time of the day or what tower I stayed in. Standard procedure.
I will stay here again for two weeks in mid March, and I think it would be very hard for a woman to linger in the hallways (several cameras on each floor) or gain enterance to the hotel without first buying a ticket for the "SkyExperience Adventure" ride or coming into the hotel with another hotel guest. I am not saying it could never happen that a girl could gain access to the hotel room area and linger, but it's highly unlikely IMHO.

Yes you are correct in that 80% of the taxis run on LPG in metro Cebu. Cheaper to run LPG in the long run not to mention the cleaner emissions. Thanks guys for the advices on Cebu. Waaaay more accessible than Davao. More girls and more game. A very simple city to get around. Yes, with the new addition to the Ayala mall Marriott certainly has become more appealing. I would suspect the outdoor seating in front of TGIF has a lot of potential.
How much do you pay at Mariott? Walk-in, I was quoted over US$100. I declined.
I tend to stay at Holiday Plaza which has basically the same location advantages of Midtown, but the place is getting a bit ragged.

Eliminate the plane ride altogether and see a different set of girls, maybe a few days in AC.

I keep going back to this place. Sure it's not perfect but you can get a decent sized room, discrete service, buffet breakfast, excellent central location and friendly help for about $60 thru online services. If you just walk in just say "you always give me the 2100 peso rate. " that usually works. I've done a lot of comparison shopping and I keep going back here.

You've probably read it already, but BEFORE you barfine, pls. ask the following questions (if it is important to you): 1) when was your menstruation? 2) do you have baby? 3) IF I barfine you, what time do you have to leave? 4) do you give blowjob? Plus, any other questions that suit you. The idea is to have clear expectations for both you and her. That being said, find out if the barfine includes the girl already, or is just the barfine, and the girl is separate. If the girl is separate, negotiate the price before you leave the bar. Mr. Hawaii gave some things to consider before barfining. Personally, I won't go that far, but I totally understand why he is recommending it. I think such talk is not necessarily that big of a deal at such a cost, but if I was barfining a woman from like Burgos in Makati, Manila or maybe those places that the barfine is 4000 I'd ask.
In regards to my recent experiences in Cebu, I barfined from Vikings and Hot Rod where the barfine was 1700. As mentioned earlier, the bar kept 700 and the woman got 1000 from it. I never talked about what I would give them in the morning except I wanted them to stay long time. They all did. Some women will scoff at the thought of a long time, and only do short times. In the morning, I gave them what I felt was appropriate which was usually 500 pesos. The women never looked at the money and were all willing to go again.
Keep in mind, the barfine situation in Cebu is totally different than say Angeles, where the average barfine in different bars and how they are split is about the same. In Cebu, different clubs, different barfines, different splits. You kind of have to figure out what's appropriate.

I agree if you negotiate it like a business deal then that is what you will get......a business deal !!!!! No wonder some of these guys have such bad experiences. Relax and just enjoy the experience.
I have been there a several times. When I asked for the barfine they told me 1700. But I am not surpriced that they also asked a ladydring or 2 for thee girl. We must know, the new owner of the old BalckHole and new HotRods is the same as the one in Temptation and in this establisement it is the rule you have to buy 2 ladyes drinks. Thats the reason why I don't go anymore there. Up to now I did not barfine in hotrods and I guess I will also not turn back there ecoz one of the girls "cleaned her Lipstick" on my dress. When I told it to the mama sun she said you in a bar what you want.

I do the same as most "intelligent" people; that is, work in the questions around general conversation, usually after I have bought them a drink. To just rattle off interrogations like I listed would not be cool. But then again, most guys know this. But for the newbies, those are the topics most guys want to cover. After having been to the Phils and after having spent time in both Angeles and Manila, I don't understand why mongers who have a choice prefer it over Thailand. There's no comparison in my opinion. Thailand wins hands down!
The only thing good about the Phils, in my experience was that the flight was shorter. The area is shitty. The girls are way over priced as are the hotels. Manila is full of beggars and robbers. The girls aren't nearly as good looking as the Thai girls. The police are on the take. The cab drivers try to rip you off right and left. The country is way way poorer than Thailand.
What am I missing?

Mr. Hawaii gave some things to consider before barfining. Personally, I won't go that far, but I totally understand why he is recommending it. I think such talk is not necessarily that big of a deal at such a cost, but if I was barfining a woman from like Burgos in Makati, Manila or maybe those places that the barfine is 4000 I'd ask.
In regards to my recent experiences in Cebu, I barfined from Vikings and Hot Rod where the barfine was 1700. As mentioned earlier, the bar kept 700 and the woman got 1000 from it. I never talked about what I would give them in the morning except I wanted them to stay long time. They all did. Some women will scoff at the thought of a long time, and only do short times. In the morning, I gave them what I felt was appropriate which was usually 500 pesos. The women never looked at the money and were all willing to go again.
Keep in mind, the barfine situation in Cebu is totally different than say Angeles, where the average barfine in different bars and how they are split is about the same. In Cebu, different clubs, different barfines, different splits. You kind of have to figure out what's appropriate.

They will just say no, and I don't ask why because I don't want to anyway. They will show you their pad with blood in some cases. I have had girls tell me they use it as an excuse (menstruation) if they don't want to go with somebody. Some don't keep track of their "monthly", and there is blood all over when we finish. (Not often, as I usually ask). I'm sure you are aware that most viruses are transmitted via blood, and even with a condom, blood can get on your skin. Usually no problem if your skin is intact; this is a defense against the blood. I am just too cautious, I don't know their background, etc. AIDS, Hep B, Hep C, herpes, chlamydia..you have more of a chance of catching these if exposed to blood. If you really like a girl, have her tested first ( I know, AIDS antibodies can take 6 months to develop). Thats all I can think of for now. Go get 'em.

You haven't missed anything. Your preference is Thailand. I have a friend I've mongered with in many places and he can't stand the Philippines. Thailand is nicer infrastructure wise and there are seemingly more prettier women there. Everybody has different weightings on what's more important to them than others. Based on what you compared Thailand to the Philippines, your weightings bring you to Thailand. Don't waste your time on these boards trying to convince yourself or others that you are right or they are wrong. It's not worth it. Enjoy what you enjoy. Different strokes, different folks. You can't agree with everyone and not everyone will agree with you.

Personally, I like them both. PI is cheaper then Thailand, but sometimes I like the way TG's get down. TG's seem to be able to take it in the ass better then the filipina, but then again, it's really up to your skills to pick up a 3 holer.
For some dudes, the whole being able to speak english thing outweighs the TG's. Provides more GFE, and not as much mercenary attitude as the TG's.
It's really all about what is important to you, based on your criteria. And here is a photo of how I feel about TG's. I guess one sticking point for me is weather or not I want my caddy to bring a shotgun when I play golf.

I think you are talking about scags. Anything respectable will not screw for that money. Your info is way out dated unless your talking about really terrible looking ones intended for locals with no money.

And Cherry Buster is paying too much. Tipping is not the norm with these girls , they expect only the agreed price , but everyone is free to tip as much as they like.
Price depends on the girl , how much demand she is in , but 1000 short time would be tops , 500 short time the norm. 1500 overnight tops 750 to 1000 the norm. There would be girls for less yes , but they would be terrible . and yes they are for the locals.

Just saw your post as I am browsing reports before my next visit to Cebu in 2 months. Honquera has been mentioned in many previous reports but if you want cheap girls this is the place to go. This is where all the doormen, security guards, taxi drivers and such like get their girls from. The going rate is 500 pesos and you will normally be charged 1500 by the middle man, not a bad cut for them when you think about it. If you think 500 pesos will buy you a skank you could not be more mistaken. Sure some of these girls have been round the block a few times, but equally many of the girls are young and fresh as Honquera is a staging post to other destinations. The girls come to Cebu from Mindanau, Bohol and other islands to learn their trade before travelling elsewhere and believe me you can find some real beauties. Much has already been said about the safety issues of going to Honquera late at night when the real activity is going on. In my honest opinion you are safer in Honquera than anywhere else in Cebu. The trade in girls is tightly controlled by the local mafia with little more than a passing interest by the local police who are of course paid to give the area little attention. The last thing the local mafia need is a foreigner getting mugged or robbed since that can only damage business for them. Personally I would not pay a 2000 bar fine for a girl when I can get the same or better for 500 but some guys like the simplicity and ease of visisting a bar and selecting form those girls that are available. Just remember that the beautiful young girl offered to you by your taxi for 1500-2000 actually only cost him 500
