I use that booth a lot also and it's usually as good a rate as any other.

Each of the malls have exchange places that are pretty good, except I don't like the one inside of SM Department Store. They always make me fill out this tedious form and copy down all the serial numbers of each bill.

I avoid the banks as much as possible. They're just more hassle than exchange booths.

I also use ATM cards a lot. They often have a better rate than exchanging cash.

Thanks.

I guess I'll stick with this exchange booth then.

If you are at Fuente Osmena, try the booth you mention, also, the one around the corner across from Robinsons. Also, across the circle there is a money changer who sometimes has good rates. However, my best experience is at the ATM at Equitable across the circle. Going back, try the foot massage down the tunnel from the money changer for 50P, 1/2 hour, best 50P you ever spent. While I am here, the Elegant Circle Inn has treated me well. I will go back.

Enjoy and stay safe,

Snake

What the fcuk has getting cash out of an ATM got to do with this site. Its like telling someone how to get their luggage off a carosel at the airport. Jeez.

Lighten up. This is a P4P site. The first "P" is for "pay". Which usually means cash. Support info on getting by in our location of choice is totally on subject.

PS: Do you still need help with that pesky luggage carousel ?

A. The ATM cards of one of the largest banks in the world are on a network that works at only a small number of machines in the PI;

B. The Angeles City area has only one of these machines that will work with that major bank's ATM card;

C. If your card is from that major western bank you will not find the one and only machine that will take it located anywhere in the entertainment district of Fields;

D. That bank's world ATM finder website (and it's employees) will list many Philippine ATMs all over the place which are supposed to take it, but this is not true, so you will not know that you have a problem 'till you are suddenly stuck in a third world country with no cash and no clue.

At this time it would be nice of me to tell you which bank ATM network that is, and where that sole machine is located, so you will not be stranded begging for Pesos and table scraps with the street urchins. But I have indigestion at the moment, so I don't feel like it, and I won't. Good luck.

Sorry, but l am going to have to agree with Faulk here because l am often left scratching my head at some of the questions l have seen posted here, recently. Theses are things that l often think, one has this person ever travelled before and two have they RTFF? This subject has already been extensively discussed in other areas of the forum.

There are at least seven ways of taking cash around the world, ATMs is only one option, (see below for answers). Anyone planning on going to the Philippines should go into their bank and ask the following: “I am going to the Philippines for a vacation what is the best way of taking my cash with me?”

On ATMs the local machines that will use western cards are China Bank and Metro Bank.

Anyway here is a Visa ATM locater

Cash, $; foreign currency, Pesos, ¥; Travellers cheques; wired transfers; open an account with an international bank; ATMs; Visa cards.

No doubt you posted that becuase that's your experience with your particular bank, but one should not generalize from that, as some travellers will be unpleasantly surprised if they count on that with every western bank's network and any any bank's staff. Many of the ATMs listed by the "VISA locator" do NOT work with some common western networks which have a VISA logo, and the bank staff have no idea that this is the case. The two banks you just listed will not dispense money on a Bank of America card, for example, and most of the "VISA locator" sites for the PI won't either. Bank employees frequently have no idea that this is the case, as well as other things pecular to the Philippines that don't always work well, such as selling you their proprietary traveller's checks or dispensing some older creased and worn U.S. currency that PI moneychangers don't want to take.

Every possible subject has been mentioned at some point, but we're not about to freeze the site and pull the plug on posting our individual experiences because of that, and nobody reading this should think they ought to refrain from doing so just becuase someone might not be entertained by it or have a different experience that they imagine must be more true.

FDDidn't know about the one on base. But it is Equitable PCI bank that always worked with BofA cards. That might save me an annoying trike or jeepney ride in the future, or worse when the one downtown goes mysteriously "off-line" from time to time.

A word of warning about PCI Equitable be very careful with their ATMs, I personally would not touch them, last September I used one of their machines in Makati only to discover that the ATM was empty but it still managed to debit the money from my account, I have used ATMs all over the world and many have been empty but this was my first experience of the money actually having been debited from my account.

The money was later refunded by my bank, after sending in the receipt.

But Wastrel I still wonder why it is that some people go to the time and effort to post non-sexual questions, where the answer could easily be found in seconds by putting this into a search engine, as well as on the forum - it’s totally bizarre.

Hiya,

I plan on spending a month in Davao and Cebu each. Can anyone recommend a place to say on a monthly basis? Basic and or small is ok. Clean is the biggest factor. I normally stay in Thailand with A/C, hot water, mini - bar and a pool. I have stayed in much more basic places tho. I can give up amenities for an overall good "vibe". Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks and take care,

I have found a place with rooms as low as 385P per day. That's about $7 / day. That may be as good as it gets.... Send me a message if you want the address, because I have been trying to figure out the same thing and am willing to pass on my experience at no cost.

Apartments are out of the question. It seems like they all want three or four months deposit, and that's just too much. I might add that there are apartments available for as little as 5000P per month-- though they may not have hot water.

I just rented a place and it is about 1/10 the cost of a tier one city apartment of the EXACT same quality . By tier one I mean prices like LA, Chicago, boston, dc,

If Pittsburg or maybe somewhere like Providence RI are Tier 2, then I would still say 1/6.

All the people in the small building are ex-pats. I rented for a full year (share with another ex-pat) Shortest rents are 6 months.

May as well stay in a hotel if you are only there for couple months. Pretty much ALL will give a discount.

Big piece of advice: if you rent, do NOT look to close to the biz park and ayala. If anyone on here decides to take out a six month lease you can get a very attractive modern place with say 750 SQ meters for about $250 per month. BUT just get away from the center, even just 2 miles.

I don't know how many places are so "modern" as mine, but look around.

Hello fellas! This is my first report and probably my only report since my wife won't let me outta her sight when I am there. But here goes.

Jan. 26th 2005

I get off the plane at Cebu International or Mactan, whatever. It's about 3am and I am exhausted from the LONG friggin flight! I was supposed to meet this little 19 yr old at the airport in Manila during my 2 hour layover, but with all the confusion (my first time at an airport outside the U. S.) of transferring to the domestic airport, we missed each other. So I was supposed to meet this other lovely little lady at Cebu airport but, the last conversation we had I got a little upset with her so I had sent her an email saying nevermind, don't meet me at the airport. Well I arrive at the airport in Cebu and I look around a little to see if she actually showed up. I didn't see her anywhere so I got a taxi to head to the hotel. Taxi driver's name was Rudy, helluva nice guy! I ask him if he knows of a place I can find some company for the night, even though it's 3: 15 in the morning. He says sure and he can take me there before I go to hotel or after. I said well I need to change my money first and he says he knows a place. I said ok and we head off into the night. We stop at a little place (looked like a small sari sari store) and he wakes somebody up. After a few minutes a girl opened a small window and we did the exchange. I counted my money, and it looked as if she gave me about 54 pesos on the dollar.

We leave and drive to a Casa. Big Gate, Big guard and a few little buildings. I meet the Papason or whatever (pimp) and a light comes on in a little room. I see 3 girls walk in and stand there. I go in and see this little cutie looking at me with THOSE eyes. So I said I'll take her. 4000php. I know now I paid too much but hey. It was my first time. I say ok and we walk outside while the girl went to get her bag. He says to me, "Good choice, she is new. Only 19 and she only 1 man before 10 days ago! " I say oh really. Didn't know whether to believe him or not but oh well. I pay him and the girl comes out, we get in the taxi and head to the hotel. I thank Rudy for his help and give him 500php for the ride. I stayed at Midtown Hotel in Cebu. We check in and head upstairs to the room. I ask the girl how old she was and she says 19. Her english was very bad but, I did find out she arrived from Province only 2 weeks ago and this was the only way she could help her family and she had her first man 10 days ago. A 46 yr old american. She hadn't had any customers since. I thought ok cool and I asked her to take off her clothes. She was VERY shy! She hid under the covers until I pulled them all away so I could see her nice little body. The only thing I didn't like was her legs had alot of mosquito marks on them which I attribute to the fact she was fresh from the province. I laid next to her and began to kiss her and fondle those nice young breasts. I reach down and holy crap this girl was tight and very wet! She was ready for me to hit it already. I waited a little and decide to taste her. She didn't know what to do. She kept trying to get me to stop but I wouldn't have it. After a few minutes of that I decided to see if she knew how to give head. She didn't! But I give her credit for trying. She wouldn't let me watch her, but I did anyway. I gave up on the BJ and decided to slide it in. She insisted I wear a condom which I would anyway, and proceded to put it in. She was so tight and all she kept saying was "eets so beeg! " ha ha ha. I love hearing that! After about 15 to 20 minutes I busted my nut. I was exhausted! We went to sleep right away at about 4: 30am.

At 5: 30am the phone rings. I thought I was dreaming it, so I didn't answer. At about 5: 40am the phone rings again. I know I am not dreaming now, so I answer it. I said hello and I hear the sweetest little voice say "Hi honey, I wait you all night at airport. " Yeah, it was the girl I was supposed to meet in Cebu. I said "Oh, hi, I didn't see you there so I came to my hotel. " She said, "That's ok honey, you still want to meet me? " I said "sure when? " and she says "Now? ". I said "where are you" and she say she's in the Hotel lobby! Now I've got this little hooker sleeping next to me so I say "Oh no, I am too tired now. Can you call me back at noon? " She says ok I will call you at noon and we hang up. Wow, close call!

So we wake up about 9am and she asks if its ok if she leaves at 10: 30am. I say yeah that's fine and we go at it again. This time my stamina is alot better and I just wrecked it! We get finished and she asks me if she can stay longer now. I asked her why and she says because now she loves me! ha ha ha. I told her that I was not the man for her and I already had a girlfriend. She then says to me "But I love you so much! " and I just said "honey, I am not the kind of guy you want to be with. If you want to find a nice man and marry, you should get on the internet and start meeting people. I practically had to throw her out of the room. But finally she left about 11: 30am and I took a shower and got dressed.

At 12 noon the phone rang and it was the girl I was supposed to meet. She was in the lobby again and she asked me if I wanted her to come up or if I was coming down to the lobby. Since the room wasn't made up yet and I didn't want her to see the bed had obviously been slept in by two people, I said I'd be right down.

I get to the lobby and I see this amazing tiny little woman (4'10" and 77lbs) and after a few days with her, I knew what I had to do. I don't want to be a monger forever and this girl is the best. She smiled really big and gave me a hug. 5 days later, I was married. I know most people think I'm nuts but, I don't care. She's absolutely the sweetest little thing. I went back in Sept. For a whole month and we had a great time. We're just waiting for the papers to get finished so she can be here. If anybody has anything negative to say about my marriage, please just keep it to yourself. I've heard it all. I am happy and so is my wife so that's all that matters.

Well that's my report, sorry if I got off track with any of it but I don't' know how to tell the story without all of it.

Hi all,

Just got to Cebu yesterday afternoon. It's quite a long trip from Dubai so I needed a nap for 3 hours. Good thing my girl from Cagayan sent me a text asking her to pass a cellphone load or I might have slept the whole night away.

I did make it to 2 places last night. Black Hole seems to get worse and worse every time I go there. It was only about 10:30 but they only had tired, bored, used up looking girls. After 1 drink I headed over to Viking. Last July it was the best place in this little square of clubs. This time it was still pretty good, but not as good as before. I was told that a lot of girls are still out of town for the All Saints' Day long weekend. So maybe things will get better in coming days. I eventually went home with Jessica (aka Jamaica) for a barfine of 1700. This should be all inclusive, although extra tips are 'up to you' as they say.

The peso seems to be on a minor upswing right now. I changed for 54.4 yesterday, compared with about 56 most of last summer. So if you're headed this way throw in an extra hundred or two.

i stayed 1 week in sankciago street around colon in may.

my problem was this; i am a budget traveller, so did not want to pay more than 1000 pisos st and i did not want to feed what i regard as parasites (mamasasans, pimps etc.)

cebu pimps deserve the gold medal of "worse pain inthe ass" in my short but already varied experience.

you can never get read of them , i tried to explain , after i tried to threaten them but it was no use, i even heard it could have been dangerous for me, as some are junkies; for example, i tried to walk to the pick up place near univ san carlos i speak thereafter but there were guys always around.

one time i found a lonely fuckable lady among the wrecks and **** beggers of colon but a pimp ran to me and said "i sell you that lady, very good lady etc...". the lady followed me with some distance. unfortunately another pimp saw her entering my hotel. i asked him what was going to happen, she said she would have to pay not to be beaten.

-> where can i find real freelancers without pimps around in cebu?
i considered going to the hayala center but it was closed early and i am a middle-aged man very abnoxious to ask to a wrong lady

-> is it easy to notice sw in malls? when? how much (i'm not so young). i just went to the big commercial center on colon with escalators and restaurants, no girl tried to attract me, everything sonded normal as in europe :-(

->are there bars for freelancers like the biergarden from bkk to pick them up in cebu? (same question for angeles)

if not, i have to go in bars with barfines; what are the cheapest for st? australian guys proposed me to go to silver$, but said it was around 3000 minimum. no other option? (i walked around osmena circle nights but saw no pattaya-like action, so i wunder where those bars are)

my report to finish :

stayed 6 days at cebu view inn hotel on sanciangko str.near colon st, no view, room basic, ac very loud for about 1000p/day, guestfriendly but ladies at the desk dislike mongers!

only the doorman seems in the deal to provide girls, i never paid him directly, but seems acquainted with some taxi drivers.

as soon you leave hotel, others hustle you to bring you in bars , competition seems fearce!

i said no "i want a cheap girl for 1000p", which seemed too little, but after some discussion another guy stepped inside taxi, 2mn later we entered a dark street near the rosario university. i would have liked to take time and walk as in pattaya, no way, pimps were had given kicks on the car, and now i was looked as a prey by the girls who surrounded the car. small prey, so only some stayed, i think it was the girls belonging to the mamasan in bussiness with the taxi driver.

you have to say yes or no, because everybody is waiting for you.

i never lived that, so i did not dare to ask my usual pattaya check list.

they wanted the 1000p at once , i said no, later to the girl, taxi driver seem afraid and asked his 200p for him at once. i had to pay in advance.

once in room, she refused to undress because of "monthly period", i tried to kiss her, she refused also. so i ordered her to leave and bring a friend. she refused, i called the doorman to expel her, he promised me another girl if i give the 100 p now.
the replacement girl was awfull; she stayed like a statue refusing to touch me, when i tried self hj, she laughed at me, after 5 mn, i gave up.

a freelancer is less likely to behave that way; those girls receive only a small part of the money (taxi driver+another middleman +mamasan for 1 working girl!).
this place is the cheapest i found in cebu , so some after some days of diet, i made another try. this time taxi driver demanded paiement in advance, but i took more time to look, saw a shy 21' with nice smile behind.

she was not skillfull but cute, so i tipped her 500p, and when she told me i had been the first to pick her up in cebu, i advised him to stay like that, without illusion...
after 6 noisy nights of dredfull haunting the street of colon, i spent 2 nights relaxing in moalboal (200km down on cebu west coast opposite negros). it was the best moment of my trip with real nature (not like mactan), rainfalls, relaxed pinays, amazing corals... it's laid back but i'm sure you can have some action at least on the last small bar in the middle because those 4 girls (rank 4-5) wanted to go with me for 1000, but no pics even with tip, so i left. there are others bars with 10 girls who seem more than waitresses, but most were gone when i came back around 11pm to check.

Doesn't sound like you had a very good time. I think one of the problems you are having is that Cebu is relatively large city and your limit of 1000p might be a little low.

Freelancers in the Mall aren't hard to find. Just sit at one of the coffee shops in Ayala or SM Mall and wait for a pretty girl to smile at you. If you talk to her, just let her know you are looking for a "companion".

You could also try to meet a Salesgirl in one of the Department stores. I had a girl in Robinsons try to pick ME up... She worked as a Hotdog vendor! My wife was inside one of the stores, so I had to pass on her. Cute girl, all smiles.

I wouldn't worry about whether a girl is Freelance or not if it's your budget you are worried about. I would just negotiate better with the pimp and then tip the girl if she does a good job.

I only went to a couple of the bars but Thunderdome had some beauties when I was there, but I'm guessing you don't want to pay the barfine...right?

I had 5 days and 4 nights in town a couple of weeks ago. I had a good womanizing time at a measured pace: one girl per night.

In my last message I put in the title 'Always have backups.' This was all too true on this trip. I arrived thinking that I would have one night of mongering in the bars and then 4 days and 3 nights divided between a girl from Cagayan and another from Butuan. The first night in the bars went ok as I reported. But as it turned out neither girl from Mindanao could make it. One of them because of communication problems and the other because of being assigned to student teaching in the wilds of Mindanao.

So I found myself with all these days free and with nobody to meet. Luckily Cebu is a good place to be in such a situation. First of all I was in Cherry Blossoms chat and I picked out a girl from Cebu, Christie. She was willing to meet the next day. In the chat she assured me that she's a virgin and wanted to save it for her husband. Uh huh, whatever. Later in the evening I was getting ready to go out to Sunflower. But Christie kept sending messages, saying she was bored and lonely. So I said I would be glad to help her not be bored. With her 'virgin' talk in mind, I offered to meet outside. But she said she preferred to come to the hotel. Hmmm. When she got there I offered to sit together in the lobby bar, but she said she wanted to go to the room. Hmmm. Then in the room she gets next to me on the bed, starts telling me she dreams about sex all the time. Then this 'virgin' starts taking off MY clothes, and her clothes....and then so much for being a virgin (if she was one to begin with of course). She gave a good BBBJ. If only all 'virgins' were so good. Unfortunately in the remaining days in town she was a bit of a pest, saying that I 'took her virginity' and owed her a relationship. In the end the sex was good but it's a tossup whether it was worth the ensuing hassle.

The next day I got in touch with the Cebu girl that I met in July and August. She was a bit disappointed that I hadn't told her that I was in town. But she got over it and we went to Sunflower together. This girl has been a dancer before so it was nice bumping and grinding on the dance floor together. She's also good at dancing in bed. In my life all the girls that I've had that could dance well were also good in the sack. It's always been a reliable predictor for me about how good of a lay someone will be. Sunflower on this night had several groups of approachable girls. There were also some pairs of unaccompanied Japanese and Korean girls. I would love to have been free to try on one of the J girls. There was also a large group of desperate Korean housewives that surrounded a couple of Filipino guys and had them in a dark corner, doing God knows what.

My last night I decided to head back to the bars. First I had a couple of drinks at the Havana Bar across from Ayala. It was a Saturday night so I hoped to find some freelancers. But things were pretty dead. This would be a great place to hang out with the right company. Also there's a cigar smoking room for those who want to retire with a smoke. Here I had a couple of mojito Cuban cocktails which I would later regret. Then I was off to Silver Dollar bar for a few games of pool with the always fun and playful girls there. Some of the girls here aren't bad but I never seem to get around to barfining anyone. I had some gin and tonics which would increase my regret along with the earlier cocktails. Avoiding Black Hole, I went into Exotica. After a beer here (really mixing drinks now, bad move) I moved over to Dimples. Here there was a sister combination. One of them, Marie, had a face kind of like the girl from Harry Potter, except over 18 fortunately. She was too adorable to pass up. We hit it off so I paid the 2000 barfine. This is good for all night with no tip expected for the girl, unless you want to. Sorry to say the drinks had taken their toll and I fell asleep after just one round. I was really glad for the in room safe. She stayed all night and went home in the morning.

So the moral of the story is make your best plan and then have a plan B and even a backup to the backups. Sad to say this will be the last Philippines trip until next summer. Colombia in January and maybe Africa are next on the agenda. They'll be great but I'm sure I'll be ready to get back to Asia again.

Wulfe,

Wish you the best. Did you meet her on one of the online matchmaking sites?

Best thing you can do now is try to learn as much as you can about her culture. What starts out as exotic can become troublesome. My granmother, an Irish-American who married a French Canadian, warned me about this when I decided to marry an Asian woman.

And she was right...

Mahku, thanks for a great post. On my last trip I hit MLA, Cebu and Davao and had a few things lined up at each place. As you've suggested, nothing really turns out as expected.

At each location I had a no. 1 girl that I wanted to meet, but never met any of the three.

But the really strange thing is that the no. 1 at cebu just happened to be a CB girl named Kristine. She answered one message I sent from Manila, but no replies after that. Later, she told me she had lost her cell phone.

By any chance does your Christie work at a department store?

I wonder if it's worthwhile to start a matchmaking site thread on this board. I suspect the girls in a particular Internet cafe are sharing notes on the playboys they are chatting with....maybe we should be doing the same. Anyone interested?

Best thing you can do now is try to learn as much as you can about her culture. What starts out as exotic can become troublesome. My granmother, an Irish-American who married a French Canadian, warned me about this when I decided to marry an Asian woman.

And she was right...

X ManYeah, I met her on asianeuro dot com. I actually met several ladies online and then narrowed it down by how well we got along and which ladies were from areas I was planning on going to. I ended up with 4 ladies to meet in person on my 10 day trip. The first one I was supposed to meet was in Manila but, I only had a 2 hour layover and being that it was my first time there, we missed each other amongst all the chaos of going from International Airport to Domestic. Then I met my wife at Mactan Airport. She was actually my LAST choice because of a misunderstanding the last time I had talked to her in Yahoo. Once we met in person, we just clicked! I did meet the other 2 ladies and my wife is now good friends with one of them. They were very nice attractive women but, I just didn't have any chemistry with them.

I'm currently trying to learn Cebuano and I read everything I can on Philippine culture and even current events. I've also read several eBooks about Filipinas and this site has also provided alot of useful information. I realized from the beginning we would have some obstacles to overcome because of the differences in culture. I think one of the things that helps is, I really like the Filipino people and there way of doing things. I find them facinating, and I try to look at everything with a light attitude but, I am also a very cautious person. I do my best to try to understand as much as I can.

I think I should also mention some of the ladies I've met using AsianEuro or Yahoo sounded like alot of fun. I remember one lady telling me that all I had to do was show up and she would do anything I wanted. She wasn't my type at all but she was VERY interested in Anal and she said I could do ANYTHING I wanted to her. I thought about this for a while but, she just didn't look good enough for me. I do recommend lining up a few girls to meet using Yahoo or the like before a FIRST trip there. It would probably make it a little easier to have some fun, although I have a hard time understanding how anyone could have trouble meeting ladies in the Phils. I do know a few guys that haven't had the luck most of us have, but as they say YMMV.

The Singapore-Cebu connection on Silk Air is now twice a day. I saw this new flight leaving Singapore at 2210, so it must get to Cebu around 2 am. This probably means the return starts back around 3 am. So one last night-time shag before heading back to points west or south is very possible.

X Man

Christie doesn't work. She just sits around and thinks about sex all day. She's definitely a bit on the psycho side. Her Cherry Blossoms profile went on about 'saving it for her husband' but about 27 minutes after meeting her that notion had been put to the sword. Then she spent the next 3 days feeling guilty and alternately blaming me and blaming herself. I declined offers of further relations in favor of more well-adjusted individuals.

Well gentlemen, from the tone of the posts I see cebu is much the topic, sorry I missed you Mahku, I just left sunday, we could have had some interesting times I had a pair of beauties looking for another foreigner. Anyway I had four days to myself in Cebu and decided against my better judgement to go absolutly off the deep end after restraining myself and being such a 'reformed' good boy for so long. Sometimes I am amazed at the restrain we expats show, we are litterally surround by a sea of pretty ass yet we do not indulge......but sometimes.....wellllllllll.

So those of you who have seen the spamhog in person know Im not exactly eye candy for a Filipina, to add to the problem, I recently shaved my head and present a somewhat fearesome appearance. Oh Well, but the irish gift of gab is still there and for grins I decided to try it out. I headed straight for Ayala mall like a predatory hawk looking for chickens.

Gentlemen, it was even easier than I remembered, All I did was sit around at D'Italia or Oh George coffee shop and look at women, if they looked back I smiled and moved out a chair and invited them for coffee. My first hour, I finish a frozen Cappucinno and see a young lady sitting on the lounge cahirs staring at me, I smile, she smiles back, I nod to the chair at my table, she smiles shly looks around and gets up, showing her slim body, She bores an eyeball through me and begins to walk up the escalator, wants me to follow, okay, I pay my bill, leave a tip and follow the honey trail. Upstairs she lingers by the railing. I look at her and she sizes me up, a refugee from WWF, ugly as sin but Im dressed well in slacks and collared shirt, clean a full wallet not doubt, bingo!

"Hi, would you like a snack?" (I ask in Cebuano) she grins, a small discoloration to her front tooth but otherwise cute (25, long hair, slim 32 B bra size, golden brown complexion pretty eyes, realllll shy). We sit down at the food court and talk. Shes going to school (Aha a tuition girl!!!!!!) no classes today, nothing to do so shes at Ayala. I take her number and promise to call her or text her later for a possible "dinner date" (afterwhich she is gonna be dessert), she gives me a big grin eyes all a sparkle and I go back to my post downstairs.

About 4 PM I see not one but two melon butted bimbos strolling past, one has a nice round ass and BIG TITS, not that great of a face but......

HI, wheres your wife? (she asks)

Dont have one of those (I lie)

Big grin......"Oh?"

would you ladies like a coffee?????

Yes....smiles all around (HMMMMMM a double team later?)

So over coffee she tells me she is putting herself through school giving "massages".

"I see, massages eh?" "Both you ladies?" Yes, both......

Both their numbers go into the magic sex machine called a cell phone for future reference.

Third kitty of the day is upstairs as I go into the Netopia internet, she stared a hole in my bullet shaped head.

"Hi, you like big ugly foreigners" I ask her in Visayan laughing.

She covers her mouth and laughs. Later over a few cokes she gives me her number, wants to "see my hotel" I say....maybe later.

Anyhow, In an afternoon's time I have two tuition girls and a possible tag team(the spamhog's favorite indulgence) lined up.

Now, post number two in this line will deal with the follow up on those chance meetings, plus a few other interesting comments, incidents, and near misses plus a direct hit or two....he he he he he he.

So gentlemen, the moral of the story is........one does not have to resort to bar hoping to find a "wife for the night" there are sooooooo many opportunities and soooooo many women looking. The internet, the chat lines, walking around in the Mall, the question is how do I make time for it all?

Stay tuned.

Spam Hog, you made a great post, amusing and true. It is strange, but I make the most pick-ups in the crowd outside waiting for a mall to open at 10AM. One can always ask a cutie that eyes you 'when does the mall open?' and go on from there. Maybe thats when their need for sex builds after a boring previous night..I even had a dad talk to me and said he would like to introduce his daughter to me (picture in his wallet). The other place to be is in the mall restaurants when the colleges nearby break for lunch. Robinsons Ermita ground floor Tokyu Tokyu and the Italian nearby (not the food court) are cases in point, with the university nearby. I always follow the line 'wow that is a great choice, what is the name of that food you chose so well?' Female students flood in about 11:30 AM for lunch. Some a real stunners and the type that...well you find out.

I am an American living in Cebu, and the girls that you pick up downtown for short time should always be P500 paid upfront whether she has a pimp or not. There is no need to pay P1000, or to pay any extra tip to a pimp or anyone else.

The normal price to pay any pick- up girl in Cebu for short-time is P500 no matter if you find her on the street or at the mall. I have picked up at least a hundred of them in the past 6 years, and that is what I have always paid.

After the sex, it is fine to tip her based on the quality of her services, plus a small amount for taxi. I typicaly tip P100 or P200, and have not had any complaints. Also, I NEVER pick up women that have had kids, or that are over 25, I am very choosy, and it is still never necessary to pay over P500.

I've never been to the Phils before.

You are all talking about "picking up" girls in malls, cafes, streets etc. Is it really that easy? You sit somewhere and wait until the girls give you looks & smiles? Sounds like a paradise.

Sizing upo the logistical possibilites from my sojurn to Ayala, I opt for the kinkiest scenario and decide to ring up the two wandering massag girls. Now you gotta be careful with 2, while their doubel the fun, their double the trouble and can be rip offs, thieves or in cahoots with bad boys, so I paly it safe and meet them only at a public place for a meal and size them up first. I call miss big tits and set a time and place, okay she says.

She shows up alone, her friend can';t make it...busy.....oh well this one is a nice sturdy girl, big tits, wide hips and can take a good pounding no doubt, she is shy, aloof , doesn;t talk much despite my attempts at charm a student no less she says. Towards the end of the meal, she starts playing a little game, she begins texting me rather than tell me direct...cute, okay, I play along...
How about that massage she writes.....just a massage? I reply, MMMMMMMMMM she writes, U will C.....OK, how much? the standard professional answer....up 2 U honey. Good, pay the tab, leave atip hail acab and into the room. I figure she'll come out iof the bath in ten minutes with a towel around her if proceedure is properly followed. It isn;t ten minutes its one, and she fully clothed, she throws a towel on the bed and tells me to lay down and gives me a massage. after a few moinutes I get bored and ask her to get comfortable, take off her clothes etc. long story short, what she soon says makes me bust out laughing, not only from the staemnt but at my own stupidity.

"All I do is massage, Im still virgin and my mother says no fucking, but a blow job I can do."

When I get done laughing I tell her I want a blow job a fuck and maybe a few other things.....no way she says, blow job.....well honey thanks for the massage, now I'll take you downstairs and send you home to mama, all or nothing, lets go your wasting my time. I give her P200 for the massage and cab fare, laughing at my own foolishness as I know better.

Spamhogs rule....always, always always get them to talk specifics if your dealing with a pro, semi pro or amatuer who thinks she is a pro, a sex act for a price. I didn;t do that, got too bedazzled by those big tits which she wouldn;t even let me touch. Lesson learned and I know better. oh well, the best monger have a back up plan, I executed mine befoire her taxi pulled away fromt he curb.

I had met Carol online several weeks ago and had chatted her a few times, she is 29 a single mother, works and has a tough time of it, living with Mom and sister. I ring her up.

Coffee in a littel while at Starbucks near Ayala???? She is suprised and wants to know what hotel Im at (Spamhogs hint#2 NEVER tell em your hotel unless you are going to take them there, they can show up att the worst times like when you got one in the sack with you and she shows in the lobby asking for you) but she agrees to a meet....bingo!

Carol arrived freshly scrubbed and combed, looking very nice in black stretch pants and conservative blouse, hair pinned back. We hiot it off very well, she loves jokes and has a great sense of humor. This was so easy.

At precisely 11Pm Carol had fitted the Irish short sword in her tight little scabbard and was riding me cowgirl style to her first of several ogasms of the evening. She threw her head back and dug her nails in my chest like a wild cat. Carol claimed I was her first foriegner and she was a little curious and a little frightened but we got on like we'd been married for years, she wasn;t so great at a BJ but we worked on her technique, showed her some positions and had a great time. I also enjoyed her humor and we stayed up talking and fooling abournd until 2 AM. She wanted to go, realizing the time, and the text messages on her phone were wearing it out, But we fell asleep in each others arms.
6Am she was getting ready to leave and I pulled her in for round three

AIYEEEEEAAHHHH, you bad boy, so horny! I go to work now. She was very open about sexual matters, told me frankly that she often chatted "Hot talk" to foreigners and I suspect she had one or two guys sending her money for "Cybersex" cant blame her. I knew she wanted to ask me for $$$$$$ but she just was too embarassed afraid I'd have the wrong impression, so I decided to "help her out" and let her keep her dignity. I slipped her a P500 plus a few P100's in her purse when she wasn;t looking. I took her downstairs and put her in a taxi, giving her ahand full of P100 notes for the fare.

It was the right move, later I got texts from her thanking me for being so kind and understanding her situation. But that presented another problem.
Carol began texting me during the day with X ratred material.

"My pussy Hapdos, but I enjoy" (Hapdose means literally sore from fucking)

"I want 2 fuk U agin 2 Nite"

Now these messages are a pleasant reminder, but couple witht he fact that I was meeting another lady for lunch and well it could have got sticky.

I decided to line up one of the two I met yesterday in Ayala, the obvious amateur "pro" trolling around D'Italia was my first choice for a sure bet, but she wasnt responding. The cute, round faced bubbly young lady I met at the internet was open for a lunch time met. Bingo.

She shows up looking fresh and chic in a white slack and matching sleeveless ribbed turtle neck and flat heels outfit,. Just the righ amopunt of make up and luxurious hair combed out and swaying. We had an upscale lunch at a nice resturaunt and tehn on a whim I took her to Casino Filipino and showed her how to play a slot machine. KAra WAS A REAL NICE GIRL, DEGREE IN ENGINEERING, good family, (Mom was worried about her and kept texting her) she wanted a BF and a foreigner husband who would take her traveling and she wanted kids with him.

Well sports fans, I did something out of character for a dedicated monger....I gave her a pass...thats right, I enjoyed her company, she was nice, sweet and I probably could have taken her back to the room and done her, maybe not that afternoon but perhaps in one or two days, but she is the type who must have strong feelings before she will, I thought that charming her, taking advantage of her feelings and plowing her would ruin her. She is the type of Filipina a lot of guys come her to find, she will no doubt make some lucky guy an excellent wife, so I decided to send her back home to mama with her panties dry.

The spamhog is just all heart, but in post number three I will be back to my old self and relay my swashbuckling adventures in a go go bar and a few other ribauld tales that are sure to amuse and annoy.

having dropped Kara off I went back to the hotel for a tactical planning session for this evening's sortee into the local female population. All stratigic operations begin with a nap and after popping a few vitamin E tabs I lay down on the bed and drifted off. A few minutes later I hear a gawdawful banging on what I think is my door and a westerner calling for Help. Shit or go blind time!

It seems that some old gentleman was opting for some fresh air at the balcony door when it shut behind him locking him out. I opened the door and
the old fellow became my immediate friend. Lets call him Charley, he was a garoulous amusing old timer in his early 70's and still mongering...god bless him. It seems Charley was a permanent resident if the hotel and immediatley began to regale me with tales and stories. He invited me downstairs for dinner for "saving" him, he was a nice old fellow and I enjoyed talking to him so I accepted. Downstairs the old dog asks me if I want to go catting around with him to the lone star bar of all places.

"Ya Know, I met a dancer there last night, tall leggy gal, she wouldn't have anything to do with me, but Im gonna barfine her tonight, he he he he" he says in his high whinny voice

ALthough the though of wrinkled old Charley barfining and humping a tall leggy Filipina dancer would have been an amusing diversion, I passed, bars are just not my thing and anyway, Carol should be off work by now and she desperately needed to work on her oral skils.

It turns out Carol was probably nursing a bladder infection as she passed on a dinner invitation, so plan B for immediate execution with professinal precision.

I rang the little skinny girl I met in Ayala the day before, call her Elsie.

"what your hotel?" Bingo. Half and hour later she shows up in a cab and I pay the fare and invite her to my room, she immediately turns on cartoon network and helps herself to the arrray of snacks I have set out, yep this is the Philippines alright!

Elsie comes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her, shocked to see a big naked white guy on the bed, Irish short sword sharpened and ready. Underneath she has the standard issue uniform of the day for freelancers, size 32 B training bra and black thong panty, shes so shy she covers her face when I remove her towel and begin maneuvers, first charging the breastworks in a direct frontal assualt. The terrain is flat, very flat.

She is so slim and tight I wonder how she is going to fit, but she manages after a wholly inadequate BJ (honey, suck dont chew) impaling herself on my weapon with many a facial grimace and groan. I go through a few positions and she's really having a hard time. Afterwards I ask her if she can stay the night. "no no, I have to be home." Okay, honey I understand.
I give her P1000 a bag of M&M's and some small bills for cab fare and take her downstairs for her cab ride home. I get in the elevator with some lucky middle aged white guy who has his arm around two lovely brown skinned honeys, we give each other knowing grins as he eyes up my departing "girlfriend for an hour"

With Elsie on her way to the backdoor gynocologyst I realize it is early enogh in the evening to go hunting again. I make an appearance at ratsky's, see some upscale Filipinas dancing together and what looks like a few big boned Korean girls. Bored as hell I walk out after an hour. Shoud I or shouldn't I?
What the hell let me go to the lone star and See if Charley got his leggy dancer barfined and bedded by now.

Although Bars aren't my thing I've been in enough of them to know what to expect, the lone star bar was no different, filipinas in red bikinis dancing bum rush you when you come in the door asking for a ladies drink. I had no intention of barfining anyone but merely wished to amuse myself by their antics and do some people watching. Bunch of other white guys in the bar, drinking, playiing pool, girls hanging off them like christmas ornaments.

As is my habit, I sort of nickname the dancers based on physical traits or attributes. A set of four girls man the stage and bump to various disco tunes

ITEM:

A slim hipped dancer has a tattoo of the symbol for hazardous waste on her left ass cheek. "Do you know what that means honey?" I ask in Cebuano.
No she says, my boyfriend put it there. Aha!

Another one I nickname "Dragon belly" she has a red dragon tattoo circling her navel which is pierced with a few silver buttons, she rubs her belly against the dragon on my chest "so they fuck"... right.

A pugnacious little dancer I nickname "Tuff stuff" she was so insistant I buy her a lady drink I thought if I refused she would punch me out. I told her I wouldn't fuck her but I might put on the gloves and go a couple rounds.

It seems that through all the insanity around me I have attracted the attention of an older, more conservative BG, dressed in a short white skirt.
She is calm to the point of being lethargic, she explains that she doesn;t have the body for dancing. At one time Im sure she did, taller than average, long legs and a long athletic looking torso. This is her eight month in the bars, no choice as her husband died last year leaving her and two kids without a peso. She was nice, I liked her, we talked like old friends, joked around. She kept leaning her head against my shoulder, "I'm sorry, I so sleepy".

I wondered if this was Charley's leggy dancer, probably not, I see a few other tall Filipinas who would qualify. Meantime, I'm looking this one over and feeling the littel devil that always sits on my shoulder jab his pitchfork in my balls. Gemma is her name and she is half way suprised as I am when I call Mama san over and ask about the barfine. Later, I found out she doesn't get much action, everybody wants the younger sexier looking gals.

P675 to take Gema back to the hotel, plus a ladies drink and a few beers on my end, tab comes to about P1000 throw down a tip and she comes out looking like a housewife going to the market with jeans, a conservative blouse
an sandals.

Now why did I do that? I wonder as I get her in the cab. I dont know, still cant figure it out, it just happened. I think part of it was she was so low profile and so low key and genuinely a nice person to talk to. I know, bullshit from bargirls are SOP but I had no doubt her tale of woe was true, so many of them are,I think I just wanted a warm body to sleep next to was most of it.

Gemma was a nice comfortable fuck, nothing great, I didn't want it to be, she was sleepy and so was I, so we cuddled up together and dozed off after an easy session. we were both tired and slept until about 8 am, I woke her up and did her again nice and easy. She refused an invitation to breakfast and said she had to be somewhere at 9 am. I slipped P2000 in her purse just for the hell of it, felt more like a couple who had been married for years than a bargirl for a night.

So two days left to my mini sexual safari and things are about to take a turn for the worst, stay tuned for more.

I've had some great times in Angeles City, but alas... it's time to move on to different pastures in the Philippines. My face has become too well know in AC. You would be surprised at how small that place is once you've been there a dozen times. All the girls seem to be related or know each other, and you keep bumping into the one's you have done already, all day and night long. So Cebu will be my next mark. SpamHog has given me reason to change my trip location through his excellent reports. It seems that the hunting is good in Cebu, so I'm looking forward to a possible March 06 trip or sooner. Keep up the great posts Spamhog!

Ah, me public! thanks to ur encouragement I shall yield the following tale of woe and debauchery, It is Stauday morning in Cebu and I have just sent last nights "Wife for a night" on her way, field rations including doses of coffee are on my mind and I head for the hotel eatery and lo an behold the Hotels sexiest senior citizen, charley, is having breakfast with a conserative looking brown skinned honey, Charley invites me over and introrduces his regular GF, I guess he didn't have to go bar hopping last night, she gives me a frosty smile and I peg her for early 30's church going type who only bonks old guys for love, I wonder if she saw me sneak the hooker into a cab? ANyhow, I decline Charley's offer to have his GF fix me up with a friend for an afternoon at the mall. I figure Carol's bladder infection will allow our planned afternoon delight after lunch.

Carol is still texting me with all kinds of sexy material and im suprised when she bows out of lunch and sets a dinner date "Maybe". Oh well. Now here gentlemen is wher ethe spamhog commits a logistic error.
I have now plowed three different ladies in the same Hotel, I should have changed Bivoacs but didn't....getting sloppy I guess. It woudl be disasterous for one or more of them to show up when with a current "guest" but....I took the chance or ignored it whatever, it would set the stage for a possible cat fight later.

I decided to go to the gym, go ahead an laugh, I've heard all of your suggestins about picking up girls on a boat, in the Mall, outside a college and of course in chrurch, but how many of you score in a gym? Well try it, once upon a time the spamhog cut a swath through student nurses attending aieorobics classes at Bee fit gym across from Davao Dr's college but thats another story. point is, you can do well if you time it right....like ladies aeorobics on Saturday.

Not much doing at the Mango square gym, I limp back to the hotel and read more of Carols texts, figure dinner and a hump is a given. To my suprise, the dinner hour rols around and Carols gives me more excuses, no show.

Okay now here is where tactical planning takes effect, have apback up plan. choice A is skinny little elsie from the day before...not exactly high on my list
or hunting up something in the bar, once again barfines are not my thing unless a last ditch effort.

However it is Saturday night in Cebu and no monger worth his codpiece should ever dispare, there is a whole city of beautiful willing women. and I decide it worth the hunt. So I suit up, shave my head, my face and put on some nice duds

First stop is Ayala near the outdoor bars and resturants near ratsky's, problem is the gals are in three's and fours, hard to find one along, but I see a few pairs, however, they dont seem too interested. Okay, its the sunflower
for sure The sunflower is almost a sure bet, and one is not limited to Filipina, I know a former coleague who swears he tags Jap and Korean girls al the time, however, he is a good dancer and I am not. I also know the Filipino lad have afield day with these tourists, who every once in a while like a big nasty looking gaijin.

It is Ladies night, no fee for ladies and the place is loaded by 9 PM when I walk in. In twenty minutes I have made contact with two, yes two Lovely local lasses who try to drag me out on the dance floor, looking like a performing circus bear I try my best, I'm getting real chummy with one of them, very forward and flirty, but her friend is puting a damper on things, my new GF, call her Jody, wants to know if I have a freind for her friend, I think about Charley and shake my head slowly, "sorry hun, just me tonight". A lot of talk is going on between these two, I catch a few words and Jody's friend is somewhat intimidated at one point Jody says "It wil be fun", I wonder if she is trying to talk her friend into a double team? HMMMMMMMM I should be so lucky.

Now a Tactical mistake on my part, if I would have been cool, laid back and let it happen, it might have happened, however, I came across too strong, too agresive and I think this scared the friend enough that it was a no go. An hour later, not able to convience either one or both of them to "go somewhere else" I pay the bar bill and leave, I get phone numbers but wont have a chance to follow up.

What I did next turned into a nightmare of the worst porortion, stay tuned and find out. Murphy, that Irish bastard, and damn his law, reaches out and kicks me in the teeth. How can he do that to a true celtic son? Oh well!

IF ANYTHING CAN GO WRONG IT WILL AND AT THE WORST POSSIBLE MOMENT

Every General in History must have looked back on his victory or defeat and determined the exact turning point, like a coach in a football game or Donald Trump closing a Billion $$$$$ deal. So it was with my so far unsuccessful saturday evening in Cebu. I pegged the problem to a series of mistakes that hopefully other mongers will not repeat in the quest for the GTF (Grand Tsunami fuck)

Combat gear: My cellphone was running out of charge all the time, possible faulty batery this caused me to turn it off from time to time, thus I missed messages in a timely manner. HInt, every monger should have a cell phone, buy a cheap one if you don't, also you can get an extra sim pac...one for business, one for pleasure.

Failure to network and keep in contact with other mongers: I had largely operated alone, however, Filipina are rarely alone in many situations such as Disco's et al, it is a good idea to have another monger's phone number or general whereabouts in case of a situation in which one wants to go but doesn;t want to abandon her friend (s)

Over eagerness: This is a killer, you have to be laid back and easy going with Filipina, they dont respond well to pressure and haste, being an easy going gentlemen will get you more than being too forward too fast, some of them downright fear this.

P.S. an overly stiff woody can influence you and cause you to be inpatient, a disaster, these girls can sense too much testosterone. CHILL OUT!

I was doing everything wrong at the Sunflower, I had met two lovelies, one of which seemed the more eager of the pair but wanted me to find a "friend for her friend" I tried geting one or both of them to leave an hour after I met them, too soon.

I had to make a tactical decision, stay there and try to convience the eager one a romp in my room was better than dancing with her friend, which might have entailed hanging around in this place until 1 or 2 am, (Still no guarantee that I was gonna get laid) or chalk it up. I decided to move on, I briefly considered making a play for one of the Jap girls who were dancing up a storm, mostly among themselves, one wild thing was doing the Osaka version of dirty dancing with a pair of Filipina girls amid much screaming and carrying on, they were gonna be a while. If I was a good dancer or could speak better Japanaese (I'm limited to martial arts terms in that area, of course Keiko san could have a whole other meaning for "floating hip throw" he he he ) So I pass and decide on a sure thing....back to the Lone Star.

Now as I've said, I'm not a big one for bar fining, but time was growing short and I needed "what position you like" not "maybe, if "or "can you get a friend for my firend." I'd been there previously and saw the selection and knew what to expect, besides, I thought the P675 bar fine and tip her accordingly accordingly more acceptable than the P2000 to P2500 I was hearing for places like the black hole or dimples, neither of which I had ever set foot in.
Besides, I heard the guy who managed the bar was a fellow American, buy American what the hell.

So in I go to the lone star. It is black bikini night, the ladies recognize me from the previous night and hoot and hollar,a few rush up for a ladies drink but I politely shoe them away. I see Gemma, my previous nights roll and she gives me a big, albeit sad, smile. I sit next to her mainly to keep the other "eager beavers" (Literally) at bay. I also immediately order her a ladies drink, several tactical reasons for this, it gives her a chance to earn, she gets a commission on each one, also to talk to her without pressure form the others. It was the right move, by and by I tell Gemma she was nice but...
You want other girl? No problem she says, want me to help you?" Errr, yeah
like I say, she was mature and sensible, no acting stupid like some of them do.

She calls over one of her friends, repeats her history, 19, been at he bar three months, cute but......"You want wild girl?" she asks she points out tuff stuff....no way, she'd kick my ass. I say. I notice an unusual dancer who takes center stage, this girl is in direct contrast to the "talent" around her. She is definitely not in the mold, she is tall, maybe 5'6, dark, very dark, so dark, no BLACK I would have thought cuban or even somalian, her hair is bobbed short and she grinds seductively a willowy torso and great long legs.

"You like her? New girl" Gemma tells me "Just Hired today" HMMMMMM????

I know, everybody thinks he's goinna walk into a bar and find a fresh provincial princess that has never known a white man, well Malou was not that, but close to it.
She recited her history for me, age 20, previously worked two months at Exotica last year, left in January and had been living in some godforsaken village down south until this week when she decided she needed money again, had her check up yesterday (Showed me her GRO even!) and got hired this afternoon, it was her first night in the lone Star. I also found her pleasant, not hardened like some of the vixens around me, she said she read books everyday to study english and she seemed to enjoy the attention.

Now heres an aside gentlemen, in her society she is considered ugly by virture of her unusually dark skin and native facial features. Never mind the athletic build and long limbs, they probably call her 'blackie' or something back home, now a foreigner is paying attention to her and treating her nice and she's eating it up.

One barfine coming up. I get slim in a taxi and head back to the hotel an here is where Murphies law kicks in, just as I open the door for my fair lady, up rolls another taxi and Carol unloads, sees me with miss Africa look a like and
throws a hissy fit. Later I find out from the text messages on her phone she is coming over, had a change of heart, maybe all that hot talk on the computer today watching guys jerk off made her horny for the real thing, whatever, who knows what goes on in a filipinas mind, she decides to show up unannounced and now we got a problem.

She is raising such a fuss I figure the security and night man at the hotel might beef with me. However, I've been treating these guys good, slipping them tips when I sneak women past them into my room etc. So I hustle dark lady inside and they tell Carol "Gawass" (Get out). It could have turned ugly but I disappeared inside before she began throwing things which would have probably been added on my bill for anything she broke. Malou was a bit upset but I managed to convince her that was not my wife (Shes in Hong kong now thank god) or real GF.

Anyhow, Malou was terrific, I made the right choice, thanks to Gemma being cool about it (I sipped her a generous tip under the table before I left) This dusky maid gave one of he best BBBJ I ever had. Round two found her tight and versitile, she truly enjoyed her work, I suppose despite my head on encounter with wacko Carol she wasn't that upset after all.

I gave her P2000 as good luck for her first night at the new job. Wish I could have gone back for more but alas the next day, back to reality and looking in all four directions for crazy Carol before I left the hotel, I guess im crossed off her chat list permanently!

Wulfe:

I had considered taking a photo of yon dusky maid with my cell phone camera and submititng it, (Purely for artistic purposes you understand) as her "Jade Gate" pink and pleasant, while her things splayed was a sharp contrast to her ebon skin tone, however, photos do constitute evidence and Mrs Spamhog might not have a deep appreciation for the aestehic beauty of such an image as we all do.

Also gentlemen I did not specifically name the venues I stayed in to preserve the confidetiality of fellow mongers and their ladies but there are a number of hotels in cebu which I have patronized over the years:

Northwinds...the cheapest and walking distance to Sunflower
Richmond Hotel.... A favorite with Westerners
Eddies, you can walk your find of the night from Lone star
Mango Hotel, close to the action of the black hole et al
Castle peak, close to Ayala
Regal Business park...walk to Ayala
Abuhan...kind of a dive but close to Robinson Plaza, and several bars close by, you can walk your "date" out of thunder dome and up the stairs with out the clerk seeing, although they dont care.

Price ramge is P900 to P1400 dependingon the room (I prefer a king size bed for my feats of carnailty)

Thank you SH, for the brief hotel review. I've never been in any of them. The place near Sunflower sounds VERY interesting.

Strangly enough, I actually met Eddie. Has anyone else?

I am planning my first trip to the Philippines this coming January or February. Although I have not visited either Angeles City or Cebu, I have read both forums and done quite a bit of research already. I am planning on visiting both Angeles and Cebu during this short 2-week trip. I am very interested in some travel planning advice, perhaps from guys that have been to both places before.

I have gathered that Angeles is a great place for mongering only, has lots of pretty girls, and is very inexpensive. Boracay is nearby, if one wishes to get away from Angeles with a Pinay for a couple of days. Cebu has beaches nearby, has a night life that is a little more expensive in terms of barfines, and has much more to do during the day. Flights between Angeles and Cebu appear to be really cheap, around 1200 pesos.

I am also trying to decide if I should land in the Philippines at Cebu or Manila. Since I am coming from Hong Kong, I can choose either. Landing in Manila would allow me to also check out the scene there, but would cut into my short 2-week trip.

I am looking for a suggested itinerary (how many days to spend where and do what), with the following objectives:
- 2 week total duration
- Reasonable cost
- Mainly focused on finding beautiful women for company, but
- Also some other interesting activities to do during the day, after the mongering starts to wear a little thin.
- In short, the greatest overall value experience for the trip budget.

Any help is appreciated. I am happy to reciprocate with information on southern China, with which I am familiar and have posted over 100 times about it. And if I meet up with a contributor to my cause, I’ll gladly buy him a drink or two.

RasSpewtin,

You should may be land in Manila and hit AC righ away then back to Manila for more of the same and hopefully find a companion for Boracay (stay for at least 3-4 nights). From Boracay you can easily go to Cebu, though I've never mongered in Cebu. There's lots of local supply in Boracay they hang out at Summers Place and Cocomangas BUT I always preferred to bring my own.

Lots to do and see in Manila, there's Burgos for the tourist/mongers and Quezon Ave more for the locals or visitors that know there way around town.

Have a great time!

Ilongo B has the right idea. With two weeks you could easily hit both MLA and Cebu. You could easily hit a few other islands as well.

Love that handle!

My suggestion is that you take Cathy Pacific directly to cebu. I've flown them a number of times to and fro Hong Kong from Cebu, Mrs Spamhog flew back and forth there while I was running amok in Cebu. The reason I suggest this is for:

Economy, Going direct to Cebu will save you the airfare from Manila. CP has some good deals

Manila sucks, the airport is a hassle, Cebu has a nicer quieter airport

Variety: Look at my posts, I scored from a number of sources and techniques which any idiot (I'm the biggest idiot around) can get lucky with a minimum of effort whereas in Angeles you are kind of limited to bargirls, off duty and on.

COSTS: Cebu is also cheaper than Manila, just follow the clues from my posts(an others) about hotels. You can get lucky in Manila in the malls and all, just like anywhere in the PI, but it is easier to get around in Cebu less traffic= taxi fare.

Also, I suggest you find a cebu doll and bring her to Bohol, Panglao beach is just as good as the over rated (IMHO) boracay, and Bohol is about an hour by super cat (hydrofoil) from cebu, the Cebuana you will find will jump at the chance for a trip there with a dashing foreigner. CHeaper to take a girl from Cebu to Bohol than one from Manila or Angles to Boracay. Of course going to Boracay from Cebu is easier also, actually closer.

I also suggest you check out places like CDO city, overnight ferry from Cebu and foreigners are a novelty there, also Dumagette with its nurses colleges.

Good lick (er is it luck?)

SuperCat no longer goes to Bohol but, Ocean Jet still does and I think Weesam does too, although their website has all runs to and from Bohol to Cebu canceled. I know they were having problems with Ocean Jet in court. I don't know if it was resolved. Weesam is cheaper, p350 vs Ocean Jet p500 if I recall correctly. But yes I agree, I would go directly to Cebu then too Bohol. Then again that's exactly what I did...

As Spam Hog suggested, the flights from HK to Cebu direct on Cathay are a great option. The last time I was in Cebu, that's exactly what I did.

The only point I'd add is to check with your travel agent about fares on both Cathay Pacific and Philippine Airlines. Philippine Air does a code share on the Cathay direct to Cebu flights from HK. When I booked, the cost through Philippine Airlines was quite a bit lower.

Had delays on both ends when I used Cathay to get to Cebu. HK to Cebu it was apparently a technical glitch. Well, we shouldn't complain about people making sure the aircraft works. :-)

Cebu to HK was apparently weather related problems, but the delay caused me to miss my connection to Tokyo. They did finally get me on a flight to Tokyo, but arrival time was after the last train had departed the airport. Anyone who has been to Narita knows that a taxi is the last option you want to take.

Fortunately, Cathay offerred me a room for the night or a bus to Tokyo or Shinjuku. Fortunately (funny how your luck changes when you least expect it) I had a friend living near Shinjuku and could easily walk there. The next guy wasn't so lucky. He was a hs English teacher and had classes starting early in the morning...and had no way to get there.

Not sure if this was just a fluke or not, but in the end Cathay tried hard to resolve the problems and I was merely inconvenienced rather than seriously screwed.

I met Cebu Eddie first and last time in 1990 when he offerred me a ride when I was walking down some hill from the Chinese temple. Much to my objections, I ended up in Eddie's log cabin...and the events that day have scarred me for life. No, just joking, it was a bizarre experience and I've once told the story here before...I won't bore anyone with it again.

Love to hear your stories though...

Hi mongers,

Just hoping someone could give me an update on what's happening down in lovely Cebu? I was last there back in December 2003. I will be coming back to the P.I in March and would love to head back down to Cebu.

Had a great time drinking and shagging girls from the Lone Star bar, Papillion, Black Hole and Exotica. There was this one bird in Exotica (Melody I think her name was) who would always manage to get me up to the VIP Karaoke rooms. Once there she would be only interested in one kind of microphone hahahaha. Every so often the waitresses would interrupt. That just made it more exciting.

So just hoping someone can let me know whether those bars are all still open? Also what kind of prices can I expect these days? Beers, LD's, ST, LT? VIP rooms?

Happy mongering.

Anyone need a wingman in Cebu around Dec 27-Jan5?

I have a few girls to meet and also will go bar hopping. Mabye the discos: Sunflower.

I've never been to Juke Box or Ratskys. Where are they and what can I expect?

What is the name of the expat bar downtown near the university?

I also want to hit at least one other place. Dumaguete or Bohol or Surigao. I know there are boats to both Dumaguete and Bohol, but what would be the best way to Surigao? I'm not a diver, nor surfer, but I do like beaches and snorkeling.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Ratskys is a good place to bring one of your girlfriends. They usually have good bands there. And the dance floor is small, which means you and your girl will probably be pressed up against each other. Not a bad thing. It's in the entertainment area of Ayala Mall.

As for going hunting, I always feel like Sunflower is better than Ratskys. Something about the layout of the place I guess. The greater number of standing areas and the traffic patterns seem to give one more chances for encounters at Sunflower. YMMV however. In addition to ladies nights, I noticed Ratskys also has nurses nights. It could be worth a try. Outside of Ratskys is an open area between all the bars and restaurants where lots of people just hang out. A handy exchange place is here that stays open late. There's a Bo's Coffee Shop and some restaurants. There's a Starbucks just outside. And farther outside across a small park from the mall there's a Havana Bar which might be worth a look even though there wasn't anything on the Saturday night I went there.

Sorry, I've never been to the Juke Box or the expat bar downtown.

Joking, I've been to our place in 1990 and again in 2005. I was just trying to remember the name. It may be dead but after a spending a few hours downtown fighting the crowds and air pollutions it is a nice refuge. In 2005 it was dead, although I was there in the late afternoon. In 1990 I had a real stunner come on to me. I got cold feet when she suggested we go downstairs and play pool.

Eddie -- yes, I once spent an evening in "his office" which is the table in the back of Eddie's log cabin. This is a bar in downtown Cebu which has a log facade. I don't know if it's still there.

Lots of Filipino businessman joined the meeting / party, many wearing the traditional dress shirt -- the name which escapes me at the moment. Is it barang? I remember one of the businessmen saying he was selling property and Eddie lambasted him, saying that it was rebel territory.

I did catch him out in a lie about his age, so I wasn't sure which stories were true. He certainly had some good ones. For example, he was in a bank during an armed robbery. He was worried that the robbers would also shake down the customers, so he stuffed his Rolex down the back of the chair he was next to. Later, in all the post-robbery excitement, he left the bank without his watch.

Mahku, thanks for the info on discos. Where did you stay when you were in Cebu?

Pawnshop below Our Place nowadays. There was a sleazy go go bar below Our Place Bar/Restaurant in days of old. Girls came upstairs from time to time , same management/lessee those days. No doubt Pool table there too that time. Long gone. After Australian lessee went broke , Wes took over more or less permanently until recently and its gone downhill , not worth visiting. You can get away from it all at a nice quiet expat bar at Kiwi Lodge ,surprised you havent heard about it. Good food , nice waitresses , no comparison Our Place and Kiwi Lodge. G. Tud Tud Street Mabolo P40 taxi ex Fuente. They have nice accommodation too. One stop shop , except no unnattended pay for play on premises. A nice respite from the sex scene.

There is another brand new expat bar called Badger. Classy , and some classy girls hanging around there looking for a 'husband'. Not a lot but some. Hot pants girl at front door is a real welcome. Picked up a hot to trot non pay for player there few months ago. About 2 or 3 hundred metres on right hand side , past Gaisano Country Mall Banilad. One hundred metres past Mall get driver to slow down , they dont know it , new. Its on corner of street right hand side. Easy to fly past it. Big Badger sign over front door. Maybe one hundred metres past Mall get out of taxi opposite side to Mall and on highway and walk the rest , other wise you might miss it. On right hand side. Right now possibly classiest roomiest bar in Cebu City , two levels , no pay for play scene though. British Manager there every day. Name Tony. Prices reasonable. Didnt try food. Think you will like it.

Eddies is still there , still the coldest beer in Philippines with jugs actually frozen. Eddie taught them good. Yes he told me the manila bank robbery story too and many others over about 25yrs. I dont think Eddie told lies intentionally. But yes he did lie about his age and most probably 'indian' ancestory. Had all grey hairs dyed out too. He lied about his age cause he was still interested in the chicks and didnt want his real age bandied around. Characters tell fibs , they dont lie , ha ha. Did you notice large canvas painting of Eddies supposedly grandpa or father hanging from the rafters ? Its a painting of an Indian Chief full feathers flowing the lot. Indian Chief , Log Cabin , Eddie. A character Eddie. It tickled Eddies fancy having it there. Staff believed he was of American Indian descent , if you think about Eddies face lines , it figures. Never broached the subject with him , didnt know what reaction I'd get. I sometimes spoke to the elderly Filipino businessmen at the Cabin and they verified Eddies Miss Philippines stories. They saw them and other beauties in Coffee Shop days of old. Last time I was there a Catholic Priest drinking lots of beer verified some of Eddies achievements and exploits also. A Journalist or Author befriended Eddie and then published his findings in an American Magazine yonks ago. Didnt please Eddie , hence he clammed up a bit with strangers from that point on. Personally I think Eddie was the real deal. Once in a life time character.

Barong. I have been guilty of wearing them when I was young and foolish.

Offline now.

I was in Cebu recently (picked the spot thanks to the many posts I had seen here before) and had a great time. A buddy of mine flew in to meet me, and our first night there we asked our driver to take us to a place to meet "lots of pretty local girls" (sidenote: we had a driver compliments of a local businessman who did business with a friend of mine in the States. While we did not have to pay him, I hear that drivers are very cheap there should you want to hire someone. And I highly recommend it).

Anyway, the first spot he takes us to is Arena. We had no idea what to expect, and were in fact expecting a local club, but this was obviously filled with working girls. There were many, many beautiful girls there. We didn't stay for more than a few minutes as my friend did not want a working girl (I wouldn't have minded, though), so I have no idea what the price would have been there. But from what I saw, the place looked great.

We went to a second club, then, and it turned out to be the same thing. As we were leaving, a girl in the parking lot walked by and we asked her where a good local spot to go would be. She said the Sunflower, and said she and her friend would be happy to join us. We passed, even though they were attractive, because we assumed they were working.

We get to Sunflower and it's pretty empty (10pm on a Sunday night). A cover band is playing, and they're pretty good. A few groups of mostly girls are dancing and having a good time. We get a few drinks and then take one of the "VIP" tables for something like 2000P drink minimum. I highly recommend getting a table, as it makes it easier for the girls to spot you.

A few drinks later another cover band goes on, and they're great. My buddy and I meet a Canadian guy who's there, and he tells us to just go up to whatever girls we want to meet and start dancing with them. We spot a group of three girls and do just that. They're a little shy to start, but they laugh at the goofy American guys dancing with them. We leave the girls for a bit and head back to our table. The Canadian comes over and says the girls are definitely not working, as he had met them before and had never gotten anywhere with them (he lived in Cebu). We talk to a few other girls but then head back to the original three. We have some more drinks, dance some more, talk a bunch, and have a real good time with them. Next thing we know it's 3: 30am and the place is closing down. One of the girls has already left, since she had a boyfriend, so my buddy and I each have a girl (both 22). We ask them if they want to go back to our hotel and "watch some tv. " Sure, they say.

We pile into the van (our driver refused to leave us. Guess he was under instructions to make sure we didn't get into too much trouble) and headed back to the hotel (great hotel, by the way. Email me if you want to know which one it was). We get up to our floor and my buddy and I each head to our respective rooms with a girl. The girls kind of laugh nervously, because they didn't know we were going to different rooms. Wasn't a problem, though, and off we go.

Back in my room we put the tv on. Watch a little bit, then we decide to "crash" for the night. She comes out of the bathroom wearing bra and panties. Climbs into bed, lights out, and we start to kiss. One thing leads to another, and it's an awesome, safe, night.

Next morning the four of us meet up for breakfast. My buddy had just as good a time as I did. We get the girls a taxi and offer to give them some money for the fare. They refuse. We have their numbers, so we say we'll call them later. Great first night with real local girls.

Night number two, and jet lag starts to catch up with us. We did some sightseeing during the day, talked to the girls from the night before, but decided to call it an early night and get some rest.

The next day more sightseeing (and 18 rounds of golf at the Cebu Country Club. Highly recommended), and we're off to a dinner with our host (the guy who has provided the van/driver for us). Great dinner, and he introduces us to some local Philippine celebrities. After dinner, one of the guys we meet offers to take us to some local bars/clubs. Again, not places where the working girls are. Just the normal girls (hell, maybe there is no such thing as a "normal" girl, but let me think that.). I text message the girls from Sunday night and tell them we don't know if we'll be able to meet up tonight, but we'll call them if we break free from our dinner obligations. Good to have a backup plan.

First spot was nice. Trendy ouside bar. Not a lot of girls there, though, so we head to a place called Pump. Not too crowded at 10pm, but lots of attractive girls there (and guys as well, of course). It's a great club, by the way. Good crowd, girls dancing on the bar, etc. My buddy and I get tons of stares from the girls, and we grab a table with some drinks. After the first round our local friend wanders off to say hello to some girls who apparently had been checking us out. The two girls come over (both 22) and we chat with them. We both hit it off and talk to them for a couple of hours, we meet their other friends, we dance, etc. Then, a very memorable moment.

My buddy, the girl he's talking to, and our local friend go outside to get some fresh air. I'm sitting there with the other girl (who is sitting very close to me). Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I see a girl walking by, stop, do a double take, and point at me. She disappears. The girl she's with stops and looks at me, and I look at her. Total eye contact. It's the two girls from our first night in Cebu. Her mouth drops open and she runs out of the place. Unbelievable. What are the odds of running into them? So much for the backup plan.

My friends return, and we tell the two girls that we are planning on going to the beach the next day. Are they interested in going with us? They say yes, they'd love to. Okay, we then get them to agree to "crash" at our hotel so we can leave early the next morning. We all get in the van and we drop each girl off at her apartment, and my buddy and I head back to the hotel. The driver then goes back to pick up the girls once they packed their stuff for the next day and brings them to the hotel. Back to the rooms.

So. My girl goes into the bathroom to shower and get ready for bed. She comes out wearing a tank top and denim shorts. Huh? Oh well. She climbs into bed and we start making out. Lots of touching, everywhere, kissing, etc. But nothing else. That's okay, I'm tired. We go to sleep. In the morning I try again, but same thing. I figure she's shy, conservative. Maybe she's not ready to give it up on the first night. Fair enough.

We all have breakfast, and my buddy tells me off to the side about the phenomenal sex he had all night. Dammit! Off to the beach, and the girls are great. They enjoy spending time with us, they're smart (both students, one in nursing) and they don't complain about anything. We charter a small boat and do some island hopping. After a long day we head back to the hotel, change, and have dinner. Then back to the rooms for our last night in the Philippines.

And guess what. Same thing happens as the previous night. In the morning, I seem to be making some more progress when my buddy and his girl start pounding on the door at 8: 30am to get us up to go have breakfast. Argh! My girl jumps out of bed and gets dressed. We go down to breakfast and my friend asks how I did. He laughs. Said his girl told him at 4am that my girl was a virgin, and that she (my girl) told her that she wasn't ready to give it up yet. That would be my luck. Meanwhile, my friend was at it the entire night.

Well, in spite of that the trip to Cebu was awesome and highly recommended. Definitely easy to meet beautiful, non-working girls there who will not ask you for a peso. My buddy and I are now planning a return trip in February. Will let you know what happens.

Thx1138

I will be visiting Cebu City for a couple of months after a long absence. The last time was 97 I think, the peso was 33/us$

Has there been much inflation in those years? ie, does the 50=p you get for a us$ now get you more than the 33P, or did inflation eat that up?

Also, I'm looking for a hotel recommendation. I'd prefer central location, but as I am noise sensitive (PI is a hard place for me becase of the noise). Any suggesstions on a quiet place that is visitor/girl friendly, reasonably priced, say 1500p or so?

Thanks all

Mahku, thanks for the info on discos. Where did you stay when you were in Cebu?

More often than not I've been in the Marriott. It's got a good gym, mediocre pool, pretty good breakfast and good views from the room which is a turn-on for the girls. It's a short walk through a park to Ayala Mall, which also has Ratskys Live Bar and other places I mentioned below. So it saves on taxi rides both in the daytime and at night. And most other places a monger wants to go to are on the order of 5 to 10 minute rides. The only problem here is price. As recently as 2 years ago I was paying in the low 2000s. But in quick succession it's gone to 3300 to 3800 and now 4300, breakfast for 2 included. This is about the highest I'm willing to pay when there are cheaper alternatives around.

I also often use the Midtown Hotel at Fuente Osmena. It sits on top of Robinsons Mall, which has good working girl traffic. The coffee shop in the middle of the mall is never lacking for horn dog mongers. It's probably second only to that French Bakery place in SM in that regard. The hotel is pretty cheap, especially if you fly in on Cebu Pacific, something like 1800 but breakfast is extra. The breakfast is kind of so-so, the gym has ancient falling apart equipment and the pool is humorously small. The best thing about here is it's walking distance to a lot of the well-known girlie bars. Also there are a number of eating places and money exchanges.

Sometimes I stay at the Waterfront Lahug. These days it's about the same price as the Marriott. The pool here is really good and girls love to swim here. The gym is good but they charge extra even for guests, which really ticks me off. I did see signs of neglect when I stayed here in August, things like holes in the sheets and something creepy about the towels. From here you can walk to Sunflower Disco if you don't mind stretching your legs a bit. And across the road from the hotel entrance there's a complex of restaurants and bars (called the Village or something like that?). These can be good places to pick up freelancers.

Hopefully they'll soon reopen Cebu Plaza Hotel and maybe even the hotel that's been sitting empty next to SM Mall all these years. That could help ease some of the upward pressure on hotel rates.

Thanks for the hotel reviews.

Mariott is a bit much for me. Waterfront....he,he, that brings back memories. I flirted with a girl working one of the counters in Robinsons mall. I slipped her my card and she texted me within 30 minutes. I met when she finished work and took her to the poolside bar at Waterfront. She loved it. I should have tried to get her back to my room then, but we ended up at Sunflower. Lots of hugging and some kissing, but she didn't stay with me the night. I had a flight the next day. If I only had one more day....

I've heard the empty hotel near SM was never opened, and never will. Something about problems with the foundation. I think that area is reclaimed land.

Let me add a bit to Mahku's list.

The main entrance to Cebu Midtown Hotel is on Ramos Ave. A short walk from there is Kan Iraq (unfortunate name) on the right. This place is a bit of a dump, but would be good for budget travlers. Some of the rooms are huge. There was some really sweet cuties working the lobby when I was there about a year ago.

Right across from there is a place called Holiday something. Maybe just Holiday. Last time I was in Cebu the workers were on strike so I ended up at Midtown. It's probably about 2000 pesos. They have something on the roof there, maybe a restaurant. Never stayed there, but it looks nice.

Further down Ramos, going toward downtown is a place called Diplomat. I was shown a very nice room and quoted a great price (about 1000) but there were no vacancies at that time. I've sent them and email hoping to get a room there later this month.

Continuing down Ramos, before it turns in Juanquerra (sorry for spelling) are some pensions. At the lobby, there is a sign that says no guests, so I didn't consider staying there. I wonder how seriously this is enforced?

I liked the Marriott so much, it's the only place in Cebu City that I've stayed at. I think I've racked up 70 nights there in the past. It was $56USD/Night, guess it's gone up, but if I were to spend a couple of nights in Cebu, I'd try to pony up the money. After all, I could cut back in Davao and stay at the Apo View for P1,100 I think and Cherry Blossoms in Malate at P1,500 when in MNL.

I loved the breakfast at the Marriott and would check their buffet late afternoon to see if I was going to eat dinner there; if 3 or more of the entrees were interesting, that's where I'd eat. Also, it's a "friendly" place.

Mahku

X Man, I think I know one of those girls at the Kan Iraq. In certain chat rooms she goes by the nick 'Yummy.'

Your story about the Robinsons counter girl brings up a good point. The last night of a trip isn't for wining and dining and other kinds of foreplay. It's the time to get down to it or move on, especially if an early departure is looming. Now if you're setting her up for a subsequent visit that's another matter...

Holiday Plaza is the name of the place across from there. I've never stayed there either but I've heard good things from people who have. I think the restaurant on top is more like your basic lechon manok place. The girls would probably like it.

Another quirk of the Midtown is the fact that it's popular with church groups. I remember certain Sundays escorting my catch of the previous night downstairs and these matrons in their Sunday best would be crinkling their noses when the elevator doors opened.

Found this report today on the living-in-cebu forum:

"I took a buddy of mine down to Kabatingan (basketball court) last night, and it seemed as though most of the girls were acting very high. My buddy and I observed that many of the girls had needle marks on their arms.

My guess is that the girls are no longer doing alcohol and shabu, but are now doing some other drug or some other form of shabu. Being such a poor area I would also guess that they are also sharing needles. The situation was so scary that my buddy and I just left. I just wanted to warn everyone about our observation. Where there is needle use, there are also highers incidences of AIDS, hepatitus, and many other problems. I have taken many buddys to kabatingan before to give them the "tour" , but I will probably not go again, needle use is just too scary for me."

Sounds really bad, and a little bit sad too since Junquerra offers the cheapest girls in Cebu.

Can anyone confirm the impression given in this report?

Gentlemen:

Somebody mentioned a basketball court which is close to the notorious outdoor "meatmarket" near the fight, fuck or go for your gun area near Colon Street in Cebu.

My advice is to avoid like the plague (which you may surely cach) the trollops you find there.

Many of them are the oft times fatal "Ahkyat Barko" which literally translated means "Ship hopper" the lowest form of prostitute in the Phils.
Their MO (method of operation) is to have the Badjao boatmen take them out to whatever ship docks in the harbour and sneak aboard and boff all the sailors who are not able to go ashore or dont have papers to do so.

These girls have a high incidence of disease and especially aides and syphyllys to my knowledge as they usually they get it from the seamen from all parts of the world, africa, asia etc.

These bitches are also hand in glove with pirates and smugglers and dope dealers. They often scout out the ships that will be passing through the malacca straits or thru the "backdoor" area of Sulu Tawi Tawi see what cargo they carrry etc and sell the info to the bad guys or are put aboard by the bad guys anyhow for intel. They would think nothing of ripping you off and taking your wallet etc they work with pimps(Bugao) and pimps are always dangerous.

They are prolific in Cebu to my knowledge and a few operate in CDO city and of course they are prevalent in Davao. Lots of disease with these girls....avoid them cheap pussy means aides.

I arrived in Cebu on Monday, December 26th. I am staying at the Raja (old Garwood) on Fluente Circle. They really cleaned the place up. I stopped staying there a few years ago because it was getting run down.

A word of caution. I have a habbit of walking from Fluente Circle down to the bars on Mango Ave. I was appoached by a lot of Lady Boys plying their trade. It is a very dangerouls proposition to pick women off the street (sometimes you wind up with something other than a women). Beware

I suggest avoiding Cebu during the Holiday season. All the regular clubs on Mango Ave are terrible. Few women and, in many cases, more men than women in many of the bars. It seems most of the girls go home to the provinces for the holiday. I was told by a number of girs in the Lonestar that the bars will be closed from December 29th to January 2nd.

The Lonestar did have a number of girls, a lot of them told me they came from other clubs to work there. However, the management is very pushy with ladies drinks. The girls approach you in teams, then the waitress shows up about one minute later. Its annoying.

I am not cheap and readily buy a girl a drink, I just don't like being goaded into buying drinks.

The only good spot I found was the Silver Dollar. It has always been one of my favorites. You can sit back and enjoy a beer. No pressure to buy. Met a girl named Sara who was very proficient in the sack.

Again, avoid Cebu during the Holidays, its dead as a door nail.

ThanksCebu Midtown do guest, but the in house massage service was a BIG disappointment. They will only do hand jobs and want 1000 Pesos for it. When I asked for everything, the girls told me the hotels has a strict policy against this and will do checks on the girls should they go all the way. The girls pleaded poverty and begged that I allow them to do a hand job, and they even turned down double or triple the money for sex with a condom. Be a little careful because I found the neighborhood around Cebu Midtown pretty scary at night. Take that Taxi.

it'd been nearly a year since i'd been to cebu (last year's sinulog), so i was looking to returning. a short christmas story:

i usually stay at the marriott (not terribly remarkable, but ok gym, decent location next to ayala mall, and more-or-less reasonable rates).

anyhow, thursday i head out with a local work contact to harem... didn't see anything particularly alluring, so we head over to sunflower, where we had a decent time drinking and dancing, but didn't get hooked-up (a little too busy drinking, i have to admit).

friday night i head over again, and by early am, am talking with a 22 year old from mindanao, but lives in alcoy. she's small, slim and firm - just the way i like them. i invite her and a couple of friends to breakfast, then convince her to come to the hotel with me.

she's very shy, and seemingly pretty nervous... turns out she's a virgin -- a 22 year old vrigin! at first i can't believe it, but it's true. dang, it's been more years than i can remember since i had one of them!

that night, the deed couldn't be completed (jeesus, couldn't even get it in, and she was in pain), but she was pretty receptive to other attentions. the next day, i started slowly, and when she was obviously completely up to speed, start in slowly. it takes a while, and it's not long before she's obviously enjoying it.

every time it gets better and better, to the point it doesn't take much to get her sopping wet and ready to go.

what a christmas present!

I just got back from 3 weeks in the Phils (4 days Boracay, rest Cebu).

While in Cebu, I stayed at the West Gorordio for 1680 pesos in an Executive. Large Room with balcony and bathroom has bathtub, which is a great plus. I was with my filipina GF, so not sure if girl friendly (probably ok, though). Breakfast included (can have it delivered).

Also, try the Mango Park Hotel. Standard room (1200) has two single beds you can push together, Deluxe (1400) has large bed (I think queen). Room not as large, but has pool on roof and breakfast also included. A little friendlier atmosphere. Take the 13c multicab to Ayala for 7 pesos. Also, a KTV bar walking distance, couldn't check out b/c I was with my girl.

I stayed at Dave's Strawhat Inn and Villa Camilla. Both were cheap. Villa Camilla was more expensive around 2500 pesos, had pool and right on beach.

Dave's was homier with nice rooms (smaller though), but a short walk off beach.

Billpsu mentions the Raja (not sure of spelling).

This place just opened Dec 15 and looks beautiful. The lobby is outstanding. Really nice spiral staircase going up all eight floors. I looked at the two cheapest rooms and wasn't particularly impressed. Cheaper ones (about 1900) have no window. The more expensive rooms might be really nice if they took the same care with the rooms as the took with the lobby.

Currently staying at Holiday plaza. 1900 includes buffet breakfast. I really hate the toilet paper dispenser....kind of like in a public toilet. Otherwise I'm happy with the place.

I'm using the Internet cafe in the mall. Good connections, good computer, but very cramped. Anyone have a Net cafe recommendation?

Walk out Holiday Plaza , turn left and walk down Ramos St in southerly direction towards down town direction , turn first bitumen road on right , its called Arlington Ponds , about 150mtrs down Ramos from Holiday. 100mtrs along Arlington and down at end of Arlington you will find McDonalds on your right , however turn left into Osmena Blvd , not right. 1 min walk down Osmena heading once again towards down town southerly , and building on left before hospital is an inconspicious building , enter and youll find an air con internet cafe with lots of space , 'luxury' chairs , run by koreans , including korean female students there from time to time. standard p30 per hour rate. not many people there during day , can be busy at night incl. girls but always enough computers , about 60 in all , at a guess. open 24hrs would you believe.

Check out any Cafe de France, half way decent food (Baked goods) and all of them have an Inet with decent machines. I used the one in Robinson Plaza, very cnvenient as there were a few wandering ladies hanging around eying up old foreigners, you could get on the inet, chat, have a girl met you at the cafe, size her up during a coffee and decide from there, cheaper too that Untopia, like P25 hr for a web cam

I visited FH (formerly Firehouse) after one year. It's really gone downhill. There was only one lady I thought attractive. What a shame, it used to be such a fun place. Apparently early work release is 2700 but "includes the girl".

Silver Bullet ...as usual. There is a long bar and sometimes its hard to get a beer when you want it. Nothing especially attractive there, but the girls are usually playful.

Lone Star. Got there too early at 7:30 and despite warnings that I would be mobbed, I was ignored. Hey, that's been happening a lot lately! One lady kept eying me as she put on her makeup. I got up to leave at 7:45 and she shouts out, "No, don't leave! I want to fuck you!" Hmmm, high class place.

Viking the best place by far. One dancer showing off her shaved muff.

Exotica had one really cute girl with hair nearly down to her ass. Not particularly friendly though. I ended up with a really small skinny one, who had a nice slim waist despite having two kids. I paid her night off fee (2000 pesos). Her eyes would role back into her head as we did the deed...which we did three times. Really easy to talk to. She said I was her first barfine. (maybe that night?)

Two days later I texted her a New Year Greeting and she said her kid was in the hospital. Uh oh, here comes another sob story. Much to my surprise she thanked me for the earlier tip because it helped her out. Hey, maybe I was her first bar fine!

BIG MISTAKE: I confirmed ahead of time that at least two of the bars would be open on New Years eve. They were, but others were closed. The places that were open were only half staffed. Dimples closed at 11:30. The girl I planned to bar fine went to work according to her text. She was gone by the time I got there (Viking) at 9pm. I was suprised because Christmas in Manila was business as usual. NOTE: When in PI on New Year's eve, make sure you have a lady ahead of time.

Do you mean that the Raja Hotel which was previously the Garwood Park Hotel and before that the Park Place?

Having stayed there when it was the Park Place, I now prefer the Marriott, but the last time I was there outside of this Raja you still have all the touts hanging, especially at night, asking if you want girls, if you are looking for action but you can now find women at Ayala mall. Some rooms are OK but you have to make sure you don’t get a road facing room.

How much do you pay at Mariott? I went in and asked for a room rate. The lady doesn't say anything, but starts playing with her computer. I thought she was ignoring me (happens a lot lately). Finally something starts printing...and I start to feel impatient. Geeez Louise, just tell me how much. Well, this nice little form comes out, she tears it off and hands it too me. With the Marriott its always best to check the on-line price, and ask what the walk in rate they are offering, but they claim the on-line rate is their best price. I paid around $70 per night, also if you are with any airline’s ff programs you can use this to be offered a good room rate. I should add this all depends on the time of the year, low season, high season, as is the case for most hotels world wide.

Exactly. If you check online right now, the lowest rate at Cebu Marriott is about USD $64. (I just happen to be looking, as I'm traveling there from Manila tomorrow.)

And as Juniour says, this goes pretty much for any hotel anywhere... I always book online.

I arrived 3 nights ago after spending 4 days in Makati. Short 45 minutes flight for 65 dollars on Cebu Pacific.

Shared a taxi from the airport with a nice Brittish gent I met on the plane. I was dropped of by a taxi girl who volunteered to bring us "nice ladies" to our room if we desired later. Took his number and told him we'd get back with him later.

When we arrived at the hotel I went upstairs to inspect the room as I had a bad experience in Makati. Sure enough the room had over 1000 ants crawling up and down the wall so I asked for a new room and was told they are full so I said thanks but no thanks, got another taxi and lucked into finding a place called Eddies less than a mile away and walking distance to the action.

1300 Pesos including breakfast and nice and clean too.

Later that night called the taxi and he brought 3 girls for my and my friend to chose from. We both picked one (1200 paid directly taxi driver plus 100 to the poor girl not picked) and off we go. Turned out to be a poor choise on both our parts as girls did not perform worth a darn. I guess that's what I should expect from a 19 year old just out to make a peso or 2. We kicked them out after about 2 hrs with no tip.
The next day my buddy and I go to the local mall where my friend meets and gets a dates with a local girl working at one of the shops. I get hit on by an obvious pro looking for some afternoon delight. I buy us lunch and end up back in the room. Paid her 500 for short time with promise to meet her later for the evening adventures.
Later my friend calls his new girl and asks if she has a friend so we can go on a double date that evening. Sure enough she does so we are set to meet them at 815 after she finishes work.

Well, we arrive at her work in the mall at 815 and they are waiting for us. Unfortunately her friend was really ugly so I wasn't interested at all but play along for my friend's benefit. We went out to eat at a place called Sidliner. I had the best grilled Tuna I have had in my entire life! Higly recommended.

After dinner we went to a local disco called Sunflower. Very modern and nice, and taxi driver should be able to take you there. I'm not into the girl I'm with but try to play along. About midnight I say I'm tired and want to go to bed. We taxi back to the hotel and I go to the room alone, wait 15 minutes and then I head out to find a cuttie.

As this was my 1st night in the bars i wanted to try as many as possible to get a feel for the costs. Price ranged from 1700 for bar fine and girl paid up front to Mamasan at Vikings and BG bar. Average looking IMO. Higher end placed 1500 b/f plus 2000 for the girl. Kind of expensive but I saw at least five 9s in there. I wish I was rich enough to take 3 of those hammers but I digress.

Ended up drinking until 3 am, drunk and tired I flagged a taxi and told him to bring me a girl. 1000 Pesos. No problem. 20 minutes later I had a cutie knocking at my door. Great attitide good BJ and Massage skills so I took her again the next day. She left for Mindanao or I might take her again.

3 more nights here in Cebu before we head to Angeles city.

I discovered you can get a ticket from manila with Hotel for 4 days 3 nights for less than 400 USD. Then pay extra 40 or so per day for the room if you want longer or get your own hotel and return when you want.

That's all for now.

Hi Cebu lovers,

I'm thinking of going there in the next three months and was wondering if there was any reason why it might be the wrong time to visit Cebu. I know Sinulog is the third week in January, so that won't be a problem but I was wondering about Lent. Do the Catholic Filipina girls ease off the boom boom during Lent?

Thanks so much.

What is the name of the hotel with ant so I or others can avoid it?

The hotel was Richmond Plaza. Not sure if all the rooms are like that. I have spoken to many people who have experienced insect problems in this counrty.

I highly recommend Eddies. 1300 Pesos, free internet access and free american style breakfast included.

HAH, interesting question there hoss, I would say that although church attendance might increase during lent/easter I've never heard of Filipina's rationing the golden gully during lent. This week is the Santo Nino festival so the place is crowded, just got back from Cebu this week hard to get a hotel.

Will be up there again in Jan 28 for a fight, Valentines day might be a good time, these girls get real romantic around that time. Candy and roses might do wonders!

I was there for 5 weeks 2004 over easter !
Had 17 girls in the 5 weeks , in one day I had 3 seprate girls !
So the only thing i remember about easter was at 5 am here music looked out the window and there was about 80 people following the priest in a presestion to the church !
So other than closed on good friday ! the girls seem to want so much more sex !
Dont forget the easter eggs And ask the girls if they woulkd like cream on them too !! LOL
I will be there again the end of march to end of april in cebu ! In my appartment in mactan Lapu Lapu !
But no church for me !! and outside for pick up after wards !

Just on another note ! a few times around 10 pm and midnight Lots a freelancers around main road from lapu lapu to cebu wharf area. Just on the side all along the road. This is the same road as sm city is on, so from sm city along the wharf area. Did not stop but slowly drove past some look good ! The ones near entrance to the super ferry terminal look like Bayouts( Guys)
but just travel in either direction, also no pimps as the they wear always by the ones, and the fence is there so the pimps cant jump out if you stop.
Yes i was tempted but was busy ! will check this out next trip!

What about Chinese New Year time guys?

I know Philippines wont celebrate this event, but just curious as to how much extra traffic would be expected from neighboring countries.

I'd imagine there is a considerable influx of horny guys from HK, Singapore and Malaysia which may make it difficult to get accomodation ?

Thanks

Hey Viking,

Nice report. Thank you for the heads up on the Richmond hotel (with the ant problems). I'm looking for a place for an upcoming trip at end of January, so will definitely avoid that place.

Do you have contact information / address for Eddies?

Contact info for that taxi driver that hooked you up? I don't expect any problems finding company, but always good to have a backup plan.

Cebu Steve,

Just do an internet search for eddies and you should find it no problem, or a link to it at least. I paid 1300 pesos per night but if you stay a week or more you should get a discount. Probably 10% or so if I had to guess.

As for the taxi driver, I have his number someplace but almost every single taxi I got into asked me if I want a girl, or said he knew where to find one when I asked.
Last night I was on the street corner by national book store waiting for a girl to meet me (non P4P) I had a guy offer to take me to a place where you could choose between 40-50 girls for between 700-1000 short time and 1500 long time. So bottom line it is soooo easy to find a girl, you'd be suprised. Don't pay more than 750 for short time though. I never took long time as I prefer to sleep alone.

Happy hunting

THe biggest "religious problem" I can see in the Philippines is that TV televangilist out of Manila who has hijacked a tv channel and broascasts his version of "the word" 24 hrs a day. Anybody got any kinda bugging equipment (CIA grade) that can bombard his broadcast from excerpts of "the playboy channel" or xxx rated Chinese movies?

Seriously, dont beleive all the international media hype about "religious" differences here. Cebu is probably the last place the guys in the funny hats will firebomb, I wouldn't go surfing in Sulu or sunbathe in Tawi tawi though.

As far as the ration of men to women I've always wondered at that hype. it might be a slight advantage in favor of the ladies but there are so many available willing women it makes it seem like there is a disportaionate number of men to women. Plenty of school girls in Cebu rom the provinces of Iloilo and Bohol going to CU and Western Visayas plus the other schools there...just get on a plane and go see or yourself, guaranteed you wont be disappointed.

Guys,

With some of the reports, including Vikings below about internet access at some of the hotels, I have a question about laptops.

Do you guys bring laptop computers with you or are you just using a hotel computer?

I'm asking because I'd like to have a laptop with me, but I'm concerned with security. I've only been to the Philippines once. Did not bring my computer and I think at the hotels where I stayed (all decent, midrange places) it would not have been safe.

If you do bring a laptop with you, what do you do to ensure it isn't stolen?

Thanks for any info,

CS

First, when youre not using your laptop, lock it down with some kind of security software, then it will be worthless if it is stolen, unless it is completely disassembled, which is beyond the realm of a petty thief.
Second, invest in a Kensington Lock. a wire cable that fits into a special slot that is on the back of almost every laptop, lock to a big piece of furniture.
See if the hotel can lock it in the safe if you are out for a long night.
Dont bring a fancy black leather case for it, if you have to go out in public with your laptop, carry it in a some kind of discreet shopping bag, and keep it close to your body.
In your room, you may hide it on the very top shelf, all the way back in the closet, (using the short stature of most Asians to your advantage) where it may escape a quick sweep of the room for valuables.
Dont leave anything computer-related sitting out. This will also be a tip-off in a quick sweep of the room.
Avoid letting the maid maintenance or guests know that you have a laptop.
Make a small investment in a old refurb laptop for travel that will "just get you by", minimize a possible loss, and dont put "your life's work" or valuable IDs, PIN#s on it unless you are completely convinced it is hidden and encrypted.
Look for options to avoid bringing a laptop altogether. Use internet cafes, they are dirt cheap and almost everywhere, more plentiful than here in the USA.
Get one of those USB storage devices that you can put on a keychain, put your bookmarks on it, docs, etc. learn how to use it, and just plug in at a internet cafe. (Dont forget and leave it there for chrissakes!)
Use a webmail program like Yahoo. put your itinerary, reservations etc. on there. (REMEMBER TO LOG-OUT!!!)

I think I just got a brilliant idea!
Scan your passport and keep it in your Yahoo mail, then if you lost EVERYTHING, at least you can print that out for a replacement, maybe a scan of your credit cards with international "if stolen" contact numbers included.

Affix a business card to your electronics, with your cell number. Youd be surprised how many people forget their laptop at a security check at the airport, and least they can security can call you before your plane takes off.
On your "welcome" screen of some electronics where it may display the owners name, I also enter *REWARD IF FOUND*. Who knows, sometimes the person who stole it from you comes back and says they "found" it (Dont ask questions).I personally know a guy who bought his wallet back (minus the cash) but I think the IDs and such are the most valuable thing in any wallet. If you have no ID, you are NOTHING.
I assume you know tactics to avoid pickpockets and muggings, so I wont go into that.
The moral of the story here is that nothing is 100% secure. Just try to make yourself to be more trouble than its worth. Be a "hard target" and "keep it hard!" Cheers.

IMHO, Internet cafees are so common and so cheap (most less than 50 Pesos per hour) I don't think it is worth the hassle to bring a laptop.

On another note. Last night in Cebu last night and what a trip it was. I had my date at the top of the Mountain or "TOPS" as they call it with a nice local girl. Sang Kareokie (SP) for an hour and a half while eating dinner. We had the place to our selves so it was nice and romantic. Took a Motor bike ride down the hill to get a taxi as there are no taxis way up there. Kind of fun the 3 of us on a motorbike. Anyways, once in town, we get a taxi and I drop off the girl at her house. She is to sweet for anything more than a kiss (shame as she is georgeous) and I want some action so back to the hotel I go. I get there and call a few girls I had seen before but got no answer. Getting frustrated and a little buzzed from the scotch I was drinking, I head down stairs to find a taxi to pussyville. I tell taxi driver "take me to girls" he smiles and in less than 8 minutes we pull into this dark alley. Kind of weird but I kid you not, all of a sudden at least 30 girls come running towards the taxi and park their cute butts about 10 feet in front of the car in the head lights for me to chose. I tell taxi driver I want 2 girls, no problem he says. I pick one with a nice rack and another that has a nice smile and killer body and back to the hotel we go. Total damage 1500 pesos for 3 hours. Plus 100 for taxi.

Back in the hotel the girls are up for the deed and they work the root for quite a while, only disappointment is the smaller girl, as much as she tried just could not take Vikings junior in the old coochie. Not a problem as big boobs immediately mounts up when smaller girl dismounts. Didn't even have to change the condom. Small girl licks the rocks while boobs ride away into sunset.

I shoot my load and am feeling no pain at this point so when the girls say it is time to go, I say, I come with. Probably not the best idea from a security point of view and I don't think I'd do it again, but I ended up going back to that street and buying the beer for about 3 guys and 4 girls. I wound up taking two different girls back to the room that night and awoke with one of them in my arms in the morning. One hell of a night my friends. As I said, not the safest but sure was fun.

Now I'm back to Makati for a night then Angeles tomorrow and Thailand in 3 days. I can't wait.

Gents,

Currently sitting in Bkk where due to th temporary prosperity of th country getting girls is becoming almost as expensive as in th USA.

last time I was in Cebu was 97-98, when th Peso was 33/US$.

I've been reading your posts avidly and it seems it's easier to find action in Cebu now than it was when last i was there and th prices haven't changed either!!!

So th only thing left for me to decide is a hotel, which I've narrowed down to three, thanks to th input from your many informative posts:

Castle Peak, which looks nice at least from th website pix,.

Raja (sp?), which has a super location (I like being on th circle and near th nursing/med tech schools near Doctors Hospital),

And Edddie's, which I see mentioned and recommended here frequently.

Questions are: are all three mentioned girl friendly, do they all have full service cable/sat tv, and where exactly is Eddies?

Thanks again to al of you for taking th time to offer your suggestions, and if any of you want to meet up for a beer pm me. I should be there shortly after Chinese new yr

Cheers all!

Guys,

Thanks for the responses to laptop question. I'll be making my second trip to the Philippines in a few days. Last time I left my laptop home due to security concerns, and will do the same again, just not worth the hassle.

I asked because while the internet cafes are great to check ISG, yahoo mail, news, etc., I will not access any of my personal accounts (bank, cc) from internet cafes (also for security concerns).

I'm thinking of staying at Eddies due to some comments in the forum. Seems like a decent enough place, good location and rate.

To all who've stayed here - any problems bringing girls back? Having a girl stay the night? I ask about this because looks like it's fine from some previous postings, but I've seen comments that the hotel is not girl friendly on other sites. I also read in a guide book (I think lonely planet) that this hotel does not allow "visitors". Need to be sure on this one. Is Eddies girl friendly or not, or hit or miss?

Do they have safes in each room? I tend to get more cash from the ATM than I need immediately to avoid excess ATM fees. Prefer to keep the extra in a room safe.

Thanks for the very helpful info. If anyone will be in Cebu starting January 28 to Feb 5 let me know. I will post on my experiences from this trip.

CS,

I've booked into Eddies, from 26th Jan - intially for 3 nights to check it out.
I assume since guys have recommended here in ISG forum then it is girl friendly.

They are pretty hopeless answering emails, and I had to ring them to confirm my email booking.

Looks like TXH1138, CS and I'll all be there around the same time, so love to catch up for a beer.

No problem with ladies at Eddy's.

However, I had a very unsatisfactory stay there last month. Nothing but problems with the toilet working, which no one fixed, to lousy food.

There was no in room safe.

Are you flying Cebu Pacific? The Cebu Midtown gives a special rate if you are flying on Cebu Pacific.

There have been quite a few hotel info posts lately. I've been meaning make some updates since my last trip, but haven't had the time. Let me make some quick comments in lieu of a more comprehensive post (which may never materialize).

Midtown is a good choice because it's on top of a mall, across the street from money changers, conv stores and fast food joints, around the corner from a really good Filipino restuarant inside the Kan Iraq hotel (which is a low budget option), and within walking distance of numerous bars, not to mention internet cafes and a large bookstore. Other hotels in the area are Holiday Plaza, which has rooster noise on one side (south side I think). The new remodeled Rajah is another option, but cheaper rooms might not have windows.

On the recommendation of a working girl I moved to Mango Hotel one night. Okay place but kind of a long walk to the bars and a long walk to Ayala... a long walk to anything. The money saved was not worth the inconvenience.

Someone else recommended a few places near Ayala Mall..Richmond Hotel I think. You'll have to scroll back to December to find the posts.

If you are on a budget (like i was on my 3rd week out of 4) Cebu Pension Plaza was "decent". If you're not familiar with Pension Houses, it's like a cheap hotel/apartment. No meals, no view, and nothing special but we only paid php900 per night. It was an extra php100 for my wife to stay there. I don't know how girl friendly they are but I wouldn't imagine it's a big deal.

Midtown hotel was pretty nice and very reasonable, I think I paid php 2100, but it can be hard to get a room sometimes. They fill up pretty quick. It's also a great location, thunderdome is about 3 buildings down as well as a couple others that I forget the names of. I didn't stay there this last time cause they didn't have any rooms available.

Holiday Plaza was ok and I paid php 1900. They didn't have a pool, and the bar at the top was closed for renovation but they had a good breakfast. It's also directly across the street from Thunderdome.

Thunderdome had some absolutely gorgeous women in there. Actually I didn't see one girl that I would say no to. But then again, I was only there for a few minutes to have a beer before off to meet up with my wife. If I had the time, I could have spent alot of money on those little sweeties! Complete VIP treatment as well, as soon as I walked in the door, and I was not bombarded by the girls either. They just stared and smiled.

I am just wondering what are some of the areas to avoid in CEBU city, in terms of safety? I have been to CEBU once years ago, I stayed at the CEBU PLAZA HOTEL, that is no longer in existence. I don't remember any problems at that time, I didn't really do much looking around considering that I was there for a conference.

Girl friendly, nice place, my favorite in Cebu. You can drink the tap water w/no problems, great food, great staff. The lobby is set up like it has 11 or so "living rooms", used to hang out there and watch the goings on. Try for a room ending in 08, i.e., 1008 (my old room). They are a little larger and are at the back, overlooking Ayala Mall and the Park. Since you are a long term guest, try for some freebies like free access to the Executive Lounge (join Marriott Rewards), where you can have great snacks, drinks, and entertain privately. Good Luck!

Rockeg99

I second everything that Harvey Wb has said about the Marriott; but please remember when you are in the Philippines most hotels are girl friendly

The other things I would like to add is that in the Marriott (www.marriott.com/property/propertypage/CEBPH) has internet access, if you are staying for more than three days its cheaper to select the weekly tariff than the daily rate. Across the road of the hotel you can find ATMs from Citi Bank and HSBC. From the back rooms you can see the Waterfront Hotel (www.waterfronthotels.net/cebuindex.html), it’s a short walk about ten minutes away worth going there for a look around even if you are not a gambler like myself, there are always a few strays hanging around making eye contact for a big time player.

Just adding to the debate on whether to bring a laptop when travelling, I would say yes, yes, yes! I use mine for a variety of reasons, writing up posts editing the photos, Skype (www.Skype.com) which I now have Skype credits and can call up any landline and mobile world wide which is far cheaper than most hotels, but also complements having a cell phone – which you must have to play. Plus, I use mine to watch DVDs and I have my music, which helps writing up posts the ladies also enjoy listing too, when I am creating content.

Sure you can do most of these things in an internet café, but why? I often
wonder how I ever managed without a computer in the past.

Ace Of Spades

Manila is safer than AC and Cebu is much safer than Manila providing you follow Porty’s advice and the general guidelines you will be OK. If someone approaches you and ask you to go somewhere to see the hottest pussy you have ever seen in your life I suggest you (a) ignore them (b) tell them to bring the girls to the hotel, if they say they cannot ask yourself why are you dealing with them. It’s best not to deal with any touts hanging about on the street trying to part you with your money.

On hiring a car I suggest you find a good taxi cab driver once you arrive, someone who uses discretion, in the times I have been in Cebu I have had some really great drivers one of the best I ever had is a guy who has now retired and he never overcharged me and anything I asked was never a problem, had his cellphone number and he fixed me up with whatever I needed. You don’t need a dedicated car and driver when a taxi is more than sufficient for your needs.

Just checked into Eddy's a couple of hours ago.

Maybe it's a bit premature to judge as I haven't seen the nearby nightlife there yet, but it does seem to be a rather noisy location and the room standard is pretty basic.

I'd have to say the inital impressions are not great and I've been looking around for something slightly better.

The mid-town or holiday plaza looks to be a better option for the sake of an extra few hundred pesos.

Thanks for the info Mahku. I still don't know which hotel I'm gonna stay at yet. Castle Peak seems cleaner...at least by the photos on their web site, but a little further from the action. Funny thing is, I haven't seen a post by anyone who has stayed at Castle Peak, so I'm kind of skeptical about staying there. From a previous stay 2 years ago, it was clean. It's not the Marriott, but it does the job.

It didn't seem like there's much going on around that area so you'll definitely have to catch a cab to get to the action.

I looked into CP when I was at the Marriott, they do offer LT rates and have a "suite", but I don't know if they have inhouse room service. A Filipina Businesswoman I knew (now that's a story!) stayed there back in summer of 2000 and she liked it. Try asiatravel for rates, same for the Marriott.

CP is just around the corner from "Sea Food City" a seafood restaurant where you get a small shopping cart and pick out your dinner, like you were shopping at a supermarket, then have it cooked and brought to your table. It's a tourist place, so it's more $$$ than the "Lighthouse" on Mango, but I .
also liked it better. Good place to take a date, but you have to wade through "guitar salesmen" at the door.

If you go right (instead of left, as to get to SF City) from CP, you will wind up in Lahug; past Lahug, is "Tops", a nice lookout of the city. (On the way to Tops is "Mr A's", a nice open air restaurant, have your cabbie wait - have the kitchen send him some food.)

I miss Cebu, LOL, but I married an Ilocana and she knows all about "Her" ( my Cebuana GF), so it will be a while before I get back there, but I did have 75 nights there in 2000-2001.

Enjoy.

I have read the forum in detail, but can not seem to find an answer to this question. I need to book my hotel in Cebu within the next day.

For those of you who have stayed at the Holiday Plaza, or know where it is, could you please let me know if it is possible to walk from there to the Ayala Mall area? I will spend a few nights at the Sunflower Disco for sure (and that is in the same area as Ayala), so I want to try to stay somewhere not too far from there.

If not within walking distance, can someone please approximate the driving distance by taxi?

Thanks;
Raz

or here

The Richmond Plaza Hotel or Marriott Hotel are closer by to Ayala then the Holiday Plaza. I would say it's possible to walk but I don't mind a bit longer walk for which I see other people take a cab, especially in the heat.

Hey Raz,
As far as I can tell, it is just over 2 kms. from HP to the Ayala center. Should be 30 minutes by foot and less than 10 minutes by taxi.

I should have passed this on some time ago but forgot. I had my wallet stolen by baggage handlers at the Mactan airport when I was leaving there last time. I stupidly left it in my suitcase thinking I wouldn't have to bother with it until I got home. Well, I didn't because someone else has it.

In all fairness I did make make a stopover in Hong Kong (just long enough to transfer baggage), and I guess someone handled my luggage at my home airport, but my moneys on someone snatched it at the Mactan airport. Heads up.

Thanks for the map WW. Mattrick, I think you're recollections are a little bit off. For Raspewtin

Checking my map, it is about 8-10 km from Osemena Circle (Holiday plaza and Midtown hotels) to Ayala. It is about the same to go from Osmena Circle to downtown. I've walked both routes round trip several times, but it is an exhausting walk, especially when it's hot and humid...which is usually. I lose three to four kilos every trip. The extra beer intake is more than compensated for by the walking, the sauna-like weather and, of course, the sexercise.

Other considerations if you like walking: I sometimes walk there and then taxi back, or vice versa. Try to avoid the taxi during rush hour and avoid the walking at midday.

I've attached a map with the route in red going from Osmena circle to Ayala. Turn left after the big Cristo church. I've also circled some of the hotels that have been mentioned on this site.

If you want the map at a larger size, pm me and give your email address.

I can't imagine what would possess someone to put their wallet in their check-in baggage.

My biggest error was forgetting to take my house key out of my baggage on the way back. My baggage was delayed and I had no way to get into my apartment. Well, there was a way. I learned how easy it could have been for someone to break in.

Another tip. Put your nastiest, dirtiest clothes on top. That slows down the customs officials and probably will slow down a thief as well.

Are there any bars that open a little earlier? There must be something as you can find something in Manila at 5 PM and plenty in Angeles in the early afternoon

Thanks for the reality check. That looks like about a 10-minute taxi ride, am I close? I will probably stick to cabs for most of my trips from Holiday Plaza to Ayala, because I would rather that the ladies detect the smell of cologne, and not that of a sweaty Canadian.

Looking for gyms on google right now, and from previous replies on this board, I recall that there are some good gyms in Ayala area. Can you re-confirm this for me?

I probably don't need a bigger scan of the map, but thanks for the offer. That will be the first thing that I shop for when I check into the hotel.

10KM is too far, maybe 5 or 6. It is 12 KM from Mactan Airport to Marriott and the trip to Osmena is a lot shorter, both distance and timewise. I think it was a P35 cab trip in 2000 - 2001 and was very quick most times of the day, maybe 10 minutes, depending upon traffic. I can remember Cardinal Reyes to Mango Avenue and hooking a left at a karaoke bar that my friend said was a rip off, LOL, but that's my best recollection. I would probably not walk it, too far for me. It seemed longer from downtown, i.e. City Hall to Marriott than from Osmena.

Marriott has their own small Gym that a DR. friend, located in Ayala, used. Not my area of expertise though, LOL.

Gyms I've used:

5th floor of the Midtown, near the Holiday Plaza. The equipment here was a bit old and not enough for the whole body. Last time I was there over a year ago they were improving it though. You may be able to bluff your way in here as they just write your name down and there's no computer check. Just say you're in room 1115 or something.

Marriott. Good gym but you'll have to pay if not staying there.

Waterfront Lahug. Also good but they even make you pay something if you're a guest at the hotel. That's one reason I don't stay here much.

Gyms I know of but haven't used:

Up the hill from the intersection that has Jollibee and the 'ripoff Karaoke' that Harvey Wb mentioned. It's on the second floor of an office building. I only walked in and looked at it but I remember the rate was reasonable and the equipment looked ok.

There's also a gym in Ayala which I don't know much about.

I think there is a gym on Ramos just past Holiday Plaza. Headed south it's on the left side. You can actually see people working out from the south facing rooms in the Holiday Plaza.

Well I've been here a week and this is first opportunity to sit down and write a bit of summary of what's been happening.

- First, the choice of internet cafes is endless. However if you want the privacy of your own little booth and no prying eyes while you type up your report, then NetXpress is the way to go.

It's on Juana Osmeta St, just down from the National bookshop on the left hand side. 24hrs a day.

The Korean place previously mentioned is not bad, but too open for my liking to type up field reports.

- Hotels: I tried Eddies but quickly moved to Holiday Plaza. At P1900 it's a great hotel - very girl friendly. After 8pm you'll find all sort of action just outside the door (if you're game enough). Across the road you'll find high price clubs with very nice girls if you want to pay that sort of price (P4000).

The hotel is also very quiet if you get a room towards to back with a view to the hills.

- Girls: Well they are everywhere, although I haven't had any luck in the malls. I'm not sure what technique you guys use there - but I wandered around aimlessly and got a few eye contacts but nothing really after that.

Every taxi driver has his "students".

One guy took me to a place called "Gate 3" - its about 15mins from Holiday Plaza in Banilad. Had a selection of around 30 girls - negotiate your way as usual, but I couldn't get it below p2000 for all night. The girl was gorgeous but a dud. Actually most of the girls I've chosen so far have been duds, either having period or just not into it.

- Nightclubs: Lone Star certainly has a good variety, but they are very pushy when it comes to ladies drinks. I think Viking has a better selection and the price is fixed at P1700.

This is my first trip to PI, and I would say it's a bit disappoiting (certainly Cebu anyway, I'm sure Manila or AC would be a different story).

Seems to me most girls have had at least 1 kid by the time they are 21,and by the time they are 25 then they are packing on the pounds.

I'm off to Dumanguete soon so hopefully will have something better to report from there.

OAL:

I offer these comments with the caveat that I have not yet been to Cebu, but I will be there next week. However, from the research that I have done so far, Cebu seems like one of the best cities to meet lovely young (and non-Pro) girlfriends. The most successful approaches seem to include the following:

1. Join a chat site. Establish some liasons well in advance of your travels. This has worked for me in other Asian cities, and from all results thus far, appears to apply in Cebu as well.

2. Seize the moment. When you have that fleeting moment when you make eye contact with the object of your desire, walk up and introduce yourself. It is probably better that way, as compared to her approaching you, when you think about the cultural implications.

3. Make new friends with some resident ex-pats in Cebu, preferrably ones that are married or attached to Filipinas. Try to meet potential gf's though them. Filipinas are notorious match makers. Let them try and work their magic. I have yet to exercise this approach, but plan to try it while I am there.

Cheers!

Ouch! Cebu is a hot spot, but when I was mongering, I would say maybe 20% of the P4P girls were as much "fun" to be with as girls I got to know otherwise.

My last "monger" was in Cebu, a 19 YO from the "Firehouse". A friend took me there on a Thursday night, I was leaving Saturday AM to propose to my now wife. Over the last year, he had shown me all of the "hot spots", save the Firehouse, so I wanted just a quick visit. I dragged him away from the Casino, which wasn't hard as he was having a lousy night.

When we got there, the Firehouse was empty, we were the only 2 guys. I wanted to sit against the wall, he said "No way buddy, you dragged me here" and we sat at the bar. While the girls danced lethargically, this 19 YO beauty sat next to me, told her I was just a "tourist", not BFing anyone, but I would buy her a couple of LDs. Now my friend, rich old hand that he is, is tossing 500 and 100P notes onstage and the dancers were "cured". Meanwhile, 19 YO is telling me "that one, she has husband" (will split early on you), "she has 2 kids", etc. Oh the memories of how catty they can be, LOL. OK, 1/2 hour later and we leave.

Next night, I'm back, BF 19 YO. Get to Marriott, gives me a bath, massage and great experience, she was numero uno in customer service. Gave her the rest of my pesoes and that was my last monger/bachelor party.

There's more to this story, such never give your old cell phone to a GF/Fiance/Wife, even if you think you have erased all of the numbers, LOL.

Good luck in Dumaguette.

There are 3 hotels I've had 1 month stays at while working here. I have an Apt now (8 month lease) . Mango was the cheapest but by far best value, although when I was there about 6 months ago they were going to raise the rates: I don't know how much. IF you care, what I HATE the most about the 2-3 star hotels in cebu (like mango) is they smell very bad of mildew.

Mango has tiles!!! I like the girls that work at the desk there. If you stay there, treat them with a lot of respect.

As far as getting around, don't walk anywhere for goodness sakes. Cebu is probably the cheapest for taxis of any place you'll go.

- Nightclubs: Lone Star certainly has a good variety, but they are very pushy when it comes to ladies drinks. I think Viking has a better selection and the price is fixed at P1700.Guys, If you want more of a GF experience, go to a bar. At a brothel they are not as used to GF and they just get picked out of a line a f*cked. Treat the girls nice and they won't push drinks. If they do then tell either the girls or the waitress you'll move on because they're pushing drinks.

I know more girls than I'd like to admit at LS. Went in there for the FIRST time last night after spending 8 of the last 16 months in cebu.

Turned out 3 of the girls I'd known well from other places (especially one who's used to always win me over...truly a babe..) were now to be found at this place.

Wound up buying 3 ladies drinks and leaving alone (-: never bought 3 drinks for 3 people and I almost never go to bars and go home alone. Broke the mold last night. Fun time though. A lot of just cruising around meeting girls in the bars (it was Sunday) so next time I can whirl in and not have to spend the time to get to know and still bar fine someone quickly and have them already have a good impression of me.

Cheers.

Wanderlust is spot on about the ladies. I can't agree with him on the Mango though. It's a good hotel, but inconveniently located.

From Midtown you can walk less than five minutes to: bars, numerous restaurants, conv. stores (water), pirated DVDs, fruit sellers, laundry, shopping mall (in same building), coffee shop, Internet cafe, etc.

From Mango you'll need a taxi for these things. (Yes some of these services are provided by the hotel at twice the normal price.)

BTW, If anyone is going to Manila, I recommend you take a look at my Paco Park Oasis Hotel (ppoh) review, which includes photos of the rooms. You won't be disappointed.

Pals,

I spent my usual four nights here before hitting Davao. I did not get to Silver Dollar this Trip but I was there often on my previous trips in November and August. This place opens at 4:00PM and when I was there had 5-7 girls by 5:30PM and 20-30 by 7:30PM. Happy Hour goes till 9:00PM. Chirs is a great guy and so is John, whom I have known for 13 years now. I prefer early evening here for several reasons, least of all cheap drinks. I do not smoke and very few smokers are around in the early evening. In fact very few customers and you get tons of attention from the girls. I have no touble picking a good spot at the bar and I get out with or without a girl in time to eat dinner at a nice restaurant and have fun.

I still stay at Crown Regency Hotel (former Metropolis Court Hotel). They are still doing extensive renovations and it is looking nice. Prices have risen by 50% though. Not sure it is worth it for a guy into mongering. The Wild Orchid is good and the guys can arrange girls from nearby Casas and you can meet women at night at the Carenderia in front of the Hotel. but it is a distance from everything.

I had a Dwarf with me this Trip. 4'9", 95# with large tits, lovely, flat belly and beauitful face. She lives on an Island nead MEPZ where she works. She was a great fuck and good blowjob but not certain if I will pursue this. I have my daughter's mother and my lovely 23 y/o in So China. Then, the beautiful "Beijing Doll" now in the UK has really complicated my Life. Did not expect to see her ever, let along spend nearly two weeks with her in December/January. The unexpected twists and turns in Life never cease to amaze me.

I ran into Spamhogs yesterday while leaving O'Flanagan'. Heard someone yell" Dragon Slayer how are you?" He is ex US Special forces and ex US Law Enforcement in a major city. Nice guy. Also a martial arts champ.

Please no requests for contact info on the girl I was with last night or Beijing Doll. They would NOT appreciate it and if you saw either of them, they do not need any assistance meeting men. I have no idea where it will go with the lovely 22 y/o from last evening but I would like to find out. As to the chinese lady in the UK, she may be married but she does call me long distance by phone constantly and cried non stop when I departed, something I am not accustomed to (actually, I think some of these ladies, including my daughter's mother are happy to be rid of me).

See whoever is in town tonight at Henny's, O flanagan's or wherever. Spamhogs said he may drop by. A good guy to know.

In Davao with a broken dick. GE is living a life here most of us can only dream about. If he complains to me one more time about getting laid too often, I will scream.

Wild Orchid is a very upscale Massage Parlo on the second floor of the Crown Regency Hotel on V Rama Avenue. I thas 20-30 lovely, young ladies there each evening and around 12 in the afternoon. It was 24 hours but now is open from Noon to 04:00AM.

They offer discounts on afternoon massages of one hour. No one goes here for ONLY a massage. Extra service is P 1000 to 2000 depending on your negotiation skills. I usually pay P1500 and no haggling. I have had my best luck by just calling from my room and having them send a girl over or just having the Hotel Manager cal up requesting a girl for me. When this was done She was naked within 2 minutes of entering the room. I was deep inside her love box 2 minutes later. got a massage, another fuck and another fuck after over 3 hours. Paid P 2000 as I was a "satisfied customer". SHe never quoted a fee and was on call for me 24/7 after that.

They just want to make the Crowne regency name as they also opened in Davao late last year ! the name is called Crowne Regency Appartments.

I have a very close frienbd who works in sales there Her name is Genaveve . Just friend lovely girl pm if you want the phone number and then you can ask for sales and talk to her great girl ( Just friend has bf and child known her for 2 years go out with her group.

But as i say it will be nice but i am sure if you speak to her you have a good chance at getting a discounted rate cos of the renavations ! while they where still building the lapu lapu one they gave me 50% of normal room rate but every time i have a room that had never had guest in ! so great group of friends.

Yella ManI stayed their last year, not high class but a decent hotel, not noisy.

They have a good dinner place and also room service.

I did'nt liked the breakfast and switched after a while to golden peak hotel.

But breakfast was same level as grand hotel.

Wanted to bring my gf from Manila but she decided not to becos of threats from my ex wife. So im here alone.

News first

Pres. GMA has awarded Asean policital meetings to the cities of Cebu, Mandaue and lapulapu this coming December instead of Manila, So prob would avoid travelling to Cebu early december.

The old Cebu Plaza hotel is reopening as A Marco Polo. Metrobank inherited the property when the Cebu Plaza defaulted on the loan.

There is a large resort reopening on Mactan and another about to get under way which will be either managed by Hyatt, Hotel Intercon or Shererton.

The hotel behind the SM is finally dead as a Sherarton but SM management will try to get it reopened after they finish there asiamall project in Manila. They are looking for a new hotel chain to manage anmd operate the hotel.

(Personally I would love to see Hyatt in Cebu - heres wishing)

Asia Village is now closed and undergoing renovations. Wonder what willopen in its place.

Noticed a coupleof new hotels along Selenas Drive, Northwinds hotel and Crowne Gardens.

I'm staying at the Kiwi Lodge in Molbolo and they now have wifi in the restaurant/bar area and will supply guests with login code so that is a great inducement to stay there in the future and rooms are only 1k-1.2k per night.

BAR HOPPING:

First night went to Love City, SMB 60P and ladydrinks 300P, place is not very exciting and the girls dont smile. Next went to Lonestar and was greeted like a ole friend when i walked in. Barfines a girl who was prob a 7 on looks with other girls there but what a great attitude. She wanted me to barfine her again and she would bring another girl so we could both lick her puke out. My sort of girl but in a trip of reporting decided to try something new. Lonestar SMB 50P and Ladydrinks 135P.
Also checked out Blackhole where there was some party in progressed so didnt stay and went to the bar nextdoor where nobody was interested in getting to know me.
2nd night now. IT was raining quite heavy so ended up at Silver Dollar around 5.30PM. SMB 35P during happy hour and Ladydrinks 100P. During happy hour there really isnt much talent but got entertained by 3 GRO's on a 4-5 reicter scale. As they were only GRO's they only got paid 60P per day so instead of buying them lady drinks gave them 100P each. They really appreciated it as they never got paid on Tuesday night as it was really quiet (they said).

Went to hotel for a sleep and went to Sunflower disco around 11.30pm. I had my meal there and timed it badly as there was a Thurs nite ladies nite show around midnite. So no dance floor action at least for an hour which minimised my chances. Funny when I bought my GF here last time I got lots of looks from FLancers but this time by myself and no one is trying to hit on me. Decided to cut my losses and head to Mango Ave.

As I get to where the taxis wait outside this woman with another more sexy girl asks wether they can come to my hotel and give massage for 500p. I decline immediatly but she works on me. I think the younger girl has promise as i dont want 2 freelancers in my room at the same time with expensive electronics lying around everywhere, so give older woman who now claims she is mamasan 500p for supposed barfine. Take D back to room who warmed up a bit more once we got in the room. Once she gets her kit off she has a flawless and very beautiful body, The service was very nice but no kissing or BJ offered. When finished she asked for taximoney. I thought she meant pay her for her service so gave her 1000P. I think she was shocked as this one could of been almost a freebie. Dont know, something strange going on here.

She slept with me for 2 hours then went home. Her friend rang up (mamasan) and offered herself as a sex sandwich. hmmmm.

But Mamasan never showed up at the hotel.

Now D wants to meet me today but i want to check the bars out along Mango tonight. Guys Should I drill her again or look for some new bait?

Decisions to make. Last night tonight.

I was just speaking to the owner of Kiwi Lodge, and he told me to tell all my friends to book first if coming to Cebu, as in the next month all moderate cost accomodation is sold out.

Not sure if he also meant higher end accomodation.

Asiafloyd, did he say why? I don't mean to question anyone's integrity, but isn't that what a hotelier WOULD tell you. I can't remember how many hotels I did a walk-in (checking prices) and was told that there was only one room left.

I was under the impression that March is low season. Does anyone know something I don't?

Hmmmm, I wonder how many would stay at KiwiLodge...

Anyway, I'll be in Cebu next week. Maybe we can meet up.

X

X-man,

I was assuming that a guy WOULD take taxis. I never walk. Not because of safety but because I'm always in such a damn hurry.

And taxis here are as cheap as any other place on earth. I mean what's one dollar to 1.5? Walking is great if you have some free time.

I'm glad someone else said that. I know people have made a big deal out of that message parlor in the past on here. For that reason I figured it MUST be a GREAT place. When I go with a girl from a bar it's always a GF experience.

At the current Crown Reg my first I lucked out. There were more unattractive girls than I've seen at other bars with the exception of silver dollar and bar that is behind Papion. Lot of chunky girls.

2nd time I was really surprised. It was sometime in the afternoon and I don't think there was 1 that was a 7. It's far out of the city, and I taxi way out there and after taking a hard look walked out.

The 3rd time I did get pretty lucky. There was a 7-8 who was new working there so wasn't hardened and it was more GF.

Actually, that girls something of a female monger, whatever that means, and I ended up getting together with her out of work and she was up for a fuck 24-7.

First, didn't see it here, but there were quite a few raids about a month ago. One of Mama Sans is on trial with punishment of "life in jail" or so my bar-girl girlfriend (I don't visit her in the bar) says.

More importantly, on 2 nights over the past 2 weeks the bars won't allow bar-fines! What are all the guys doing in there buying ladies drinks with no take outs! what a tease. I actually paid a bar-fine for a "new in town" girl from Bantayan (to go with her for the 2nd time) and she had to meet me at a parking lot 1 KM away. Funny as shit. Fealt like a drug deal. She told me that 2 guys in the bars people thought were cops....where indeed...These busts are happening from MPs from manila.

Other peice of news is a large-ish bar opened around the corner from viking. I asked the waitress if they have bar-fines, she said yes, and I bought a beer. 2 minutes later as I was checking out the scene she came back and said no bar-fines because of all the cops looking around to bust.

if you are here on vacation I feel sorry for you. The bar scene may not be an option. I'm going out tonight for first time in a week and I'll see.

Oh, and other small peice of news, the Federal State of Emergency seems to effect people I know here about as much as the weather forcast. No one ever follows the weather forcast and don't really give a flying fuck. The weather will do what it will do. The corrupt fucks in Manila will ruin peoples lives as they have since People Power 20 years ago.

Cheers

Wanderlust,

I did two bars fines from lonestar and black hole and felt no problems.

As i already mentioned, Asiatown has been closed and the prop of kiwilodge tells me it will be turned into another shopping mall. Leases were all cancelled.

Isn't there two huge shoppingmalls in Cebu already, I wonder if Cebu could handle another.

Wanderlust (report 1205) assumes everyone would take taxis...as they are cheap and apparently save him time.

At Midtown you take the elevator down and you are in the mall. Are you sure taxis are saving you time?

And thank you for pointing out how cheap taxis are. I wouldn't have known...

Wanderlust, thanks for the info about bar fines. Too bad. I was planning on a bar fine the first night, but maybe I should set up a date with someone instead.

Fortunately I have a few phone numbers: bar girls, former bar girls and online girls.

I'll be in Cebu area March 5-15, with a side trip to CDO.

Send me a pm with your email address or phone if anyone wants to meet up.

I think it depends on the bar as to the actual situation regarding bar fines.

2 weeks ago when I was there it seemed Viking was extra cautious and went to extraordinary lengths to make sure I wasn't an undercover cop. I was about to give up then I thought what are these places doing open if they aren't there to provide this service, and then I finally met the right person to talk to and things got discreetly arranged.

Whereas lonestar and others were very open in regard to bar fines and takeaways without any issues at all.

Hello,

Does anyone have the phone number for this hotel in Lapu Lapu? I found the contact info below, but the email didn't work, so now I'm worried that the info is out of date.

It has a rooftop pool, which looks interesting. Also, anyone have any recommendations for Mactan beach accomodations? I'd prefer under 2000 pesos, but might splurge for a few days if I have to.

I've seen the issue of (post Phil depression) PPD being discussed at this site, but I'm now experiencing (pre Phil delirium). This is when you stop making any attempt at getting laid with the home girls and just wait for the ecstasy that awaits.

hi,

just got back from cebu and manila and here is my report.

arrival: arrived on northwest air sunday night through nagoya and then manila, award ticket 60k miles thank you very much. my plan was to fly to manila for a day then fly to cebu on a ticket bought on cebu’s website. basically a monday to friday swing and back to manila for final night, a one week trip.

manila airport was not too bad but i landed at 11pm so maybe that was better. about 20 minutes out of immigration and customs. i noticed in comparison to bangkok airport they were a little more concerned about your length of stay and customs was not the one or two guys sitting around the green zone just watching you walk through.

getting out of there was a mad house. three hours before your flight leaves you should arrive at intl’, 1 and 1/2 for domestic.

got the taxi at the limo counter outside. go outside of arrivals and there is a little island right after you exit where you will find a booth. use this service on arrival. trust me…

on to the hotel where i stayed at, the kimberly. not bad, a bit pricey but not bad for the area and what you really get which is a pretty nice place. ask to see the room. you should want the superior with single big bed and partition. superiors should have partition and cooking facilities. got a partition on the way out and a standard single without cooking on the way in without partition. i paid 3080 all in per night for the superior double. includes breakky but was never up or around for that. gotta think it was ok as the place had a full service restaurant.

la café:

actually met up with someone in the airport and hung with him. my boy was coming from la (the city) so i was to meet up with him at the hotel. he was out when i arrived so on to la café with new friend. we played pool upstairs and we befriended a few girls. he got the much better of the situation and my girl was nothing to sneeze at but lagging with the action available in the pool area on that particular night. go back downstairs and lo and behold there is my boy with two cuties. we say what up and he ends up back at the hotel with the two and i end up with the girl from upstairs. she was so sweet but while banging it she started to funk up a bit, well, a lot. turned me off but (only one i encountered like this) i was nice to her anyway. let her spend the night and got ready for cebu in the morning. la café is good, not great but good. the girls are not too forthcoming and you had to step to what you wanted (generally) unless you go second rate. i felt i had better options elsewhere but it is convenient to my hotel and the las palmas where new friend was staying. not really my style but ok for a night out. upstairs does have the better girls but only marginally. they eventually have to come downstairs right? but you can catch them first upstairs!

robinson’s malate: got up and exchanged pleasantries with last night’s girl (gave her some money). out she went with cute little pic taken by me. went to robinson’s malate and explored. ate at the fucking huge food court and enjoyed some philippine food, which i actually liked. there is a popeye’s in there too. the stuff they copy they copy well although i think popeye’s is actually affiliated with the main thing. got looks in the mall and my boy and i chatted two girls up. not really that attractive but fun to try nonetheless. gave up on the prospect of them and headed to the airport. malate robinson’s can be a great pick up place. just did not have the time. you must be patient, fridays and saturdays after 5 or so is prime hunting time till close. all days and times probable though. try to be young and cute or older and cute and in shape and those who are on the game will be catch able. imo of course.

cebu pacific:

cebu flies nice a 320s and you will like these brand new planes. paid for tix online at 70 us all in round trip x manila. won a neck pillow in the game they play 39k feet in the sky. fell in love with the stewardess and got a pic of her. i just had to. nice and fun way to start the cebu leg. you can go to arrivals for taxi but ignore the guys who will stop you with the receipt book and continue on. must use the footbridge but since i was with my boy we just gave in and booked one for 375 pesos flat.

hotel:

got a taxi to the holiday plaza. left of kan iraq if facing away from said hotel and right of midtown again facing away from midtown. centrally located, nice brekky buffet (for that level of hotel). also several interning cuties there, one a stunner… 1900 for huge room with 2 beds and the only complaint is the tv is 13 inches. i wanted to ask about an upgrade on the tv but decided not to bother. i did order pizza hut and those fuckers charged me a 20 percent corkage fee. i wanted to take a cork and shove it up someone’s ass behind that one but i had a winner in bed and could not blow my “cork”. they eyeballed her well enough both delivery and concierge or whoever the hell he was. concierge walked in my room almost singing “corkage fee”. will walk to pizza hut next time and walk my shit right by them. was told to avoid the kan iraq and did not explore other options.

bars: i am not into bars for anything but gawk. will take occasional winner but not often at all. i don’t need a western backdrop to find some good pussy. the better mousetrap you build meaning the more off the beaten path you go, the finer less demanding girls you will end up with. however, did check into the thunderdome and volvo. they are clip joints to me and not at all worth the 4000 pesos the may ask. those girls smelled cheap all over me so i befriended the mamasaan at thunderdome. she is kool as hell and fine as hell for her age and i did get her cell number but she got no time from me because of better options. i was curious about her. they tried to charge me an entrance fee and then the waiters and i had looks for a minute but mama stepped right up and said to take it off and i had a new bill in seconds. she invited me to a wedding which i am sure some pussy was to follow but never made that engagement.

did the rounds at what i will call the black hole complex. five or so bars and the biggest one had some real bad looking girls, red outfits was it? at maybe the stand alone bar across from the others, black hole? bad meaning bad not bad meaning good. we were real late getting to the area, the bar with the stairs had closed and we did the others. the one with the girls in the black undies and nighties was the winner over there. please provide name if you remember. the other one with whitish cream nighties had two good lookers and the rest dogs. ok for one night out. did not pull anything from there.

silver dollar was nice. around the circle from robinson’s to the left as you walk out the main steps, go to the footbridge and it is just below the footbridge entrance as you cross one alley that may be full of bagged garbage and you have to cross no streets or even use the footbridge… fun in there and the girls were ok looking. found a couple of winners and makhu, i think jamaica is in there now and she is one thick fine ass filipina if we are talking same jamaica. jesus. my friend took her against his bullshit meter readings but his meter is well oiled and greased because she was a dud. i felt on her ass every oppty. i got though. damn she was fine in my opinion… a bit thick but cute as a button.

mall action:

none that i sampled but plenty of oppty. robinson’s is ok but you have to be real nonchalant. i saw the guys hanging at bo’s looking to cherry pick but i never saw them talking to anything exciting. they were not real exciting themselves. i got some real inviting stares but you can tell who is on the take. you can go the route of the makeup girls etc. but not much there that tempted me to embarrass myself. if there was a real winner in the mix then i damn sure would have stepped but no such girl was there. really young freelancers in the food court and they looked at me but looked as if they were trying to be extra discreet and that for me meant ****. was not up for philippine jail so i passed on that. i did not even stare at them too long. sm was great but i was with a girl already and also at ayala. never gave these a real chance but that is not really my mongering backdrop though opportunities definitely abound.

filipina heart:

had 35 numbers from there, manila and cebu were all i dealt with. put em on a memory stick on my keychain with pics and cell numbers and must have been one funny sight at the internet café. i pissed this guy off in the kan iraq net room. sorry dude but i was on vacay… this is where i met my lookers that wanted benefits. had a great time with these girls (only saw 4) but they were all winners and will hook up with three of them likely. the fourth has a kid and a lot of hang ups so i have to be just friends with her. we ate at various places and pal ed around but nothing coming with sex except one in manila but it was not traditional sex, that another story i will go into in a sec. the girls i met however were very nice and very well raised. hard to imagine how they survive on a daily basis there and stay so damn nice and fun to hang with. do not pressure them if you really like them. let them get comfy, lie up and down that you are not seeing anyone else there (and make sure you are discreet with that if you want to get serious or semi with a regular girl, small town big city…) and let them give it up. they will eventually but after two dates you need to start moving in, my opinion. did not have time for all that so made the initial meetings and set up plans for returns to cebu. they will start turning over and i will be reaping even better benefits than i did otherwise in p4p. make sure you do web cam on ym first to see what the hell you are getting. all were who said who they were but i was quite picky. let some down nicely and whittled it down to the 4 i hung with. the girl i met in manila on my last night i fell in love with. when i saw her pic she was fine and was a badass babe in person. this chick was a stunner and i really fell for her. we did everything but fuck because aunt flo was in town. she put my hand on her pussy and let me feel the pad. gave me the sob story but i think it was true and if it was then damn she has it rough. parents disowned her cause she would not marry rich australian (who she said close to raped her one night) and was on her own and everyone was trying to pimp her out including her dorm manager. she was fucking fine and i could see her trying to fend off this shit in real life. maybe she took me for a sucker. i was trying to spend money there and on my last night met up with her and she spent the night with me. all i got was a hand job but sucked on her perfect tits. tongue kissed her for an hour and she jerked me off. because of how we were lying i came on her face a little bit. she did not even flinch. the shit hit my arm and even i flinched but she kept going and damn that was a fine hand job. makes me wonder about her but i kind of believed everything she said because i offered her money three times to get some housing and out of that dorm and she refused. i forced 2k on her at reception and hope she was not gaming me cause that will be some great pussy on the second go round. truly stunningly beautiful. she cried on my shoulder for about 30 minutes and hugged me like i was her father. if she was gaming she is damn good.

junquerra:

ok so we did the sweet side of cebu and manila now lets get dirty…

there has been talk here about track marks on junquerra girls and cabbies saying they are dirty. someone also said nonsense. i say nonsense… you must have gotten a rotten apple which means you skipped pre negotiations and thorough inspections. horrible backdrop, gems in the mix if you are patient and firm.

on my first night my boy hooked up with jamaica in silver dollar and i do not take bullshit out of bars and that was what was left at the time so i walked the circle and hopped in a cab. asked the cabbie how much for all night from casa and he said 2k. i said nah, fuck that and he said maybe we can get it down to 1.5k. i said how bout you take me to junquerra and lets see what the fuck is goin on in there? haha he laughs and said ok lock your doors. oh shit, ok. so doors locked we saunter down to junquerra. it is off of a somewhat major street and the pimps line the entranceway like a colony of ants living in a pipe with a few too many members. once you get onto the side street the pimps swarm your car. i dealt with the youngest most intelligent and cleanly dressed looking one. that meant clean jeans and white t-shirt. bout all you gonna get out of those pimp’s dress codes. they parade the girls in sets and you pick out who you like. if you don’t like a particular one for some reason send her off and they will parade a new set. i took the advice of pay the pimp fee and settle up in the morning. 200 pesos is the pimp price (should be, i was a bit over at 500 now and 500 later longtime, girls might get jerked but i tipped). well the first girl was a 9 but her manager was not goin for that pay later shit so i ended up with a 6 or so but she was a cute little thing. lets call her a. a had a cute little body and a funny little personality about 19 years old. had fun with her and the sex was good. however i had her play pimp for my boy the next day and he did not specify what he wanted and she bought a stunner over who i was shocked he turned away. you see, my boy needs tits and ass in more abundance than most of us feel comfortable with. so the replacement was a knockout with huge boobs and sweet thick body but he fell asleep on her. my boy went to bangkok first thing when he woke up and i was now solo. so now a is with me at 6 in the morning in bed, big boobs knocks on my door, my friend has taken off for the airport. well come the fuck on in! i start harassing her immediately and she tried to wake up a to go home but a was dead to the world and big boobs sat on my spare bed. i was pissed at her trying to make my long time into medium time. well onto that spare bed i go and pulled my dick out which she played with while laughing her ass off. i set it up for five in the afternoon. i sent a home at 7am and big boobs came over at 5pm and i hit it like it a clogged ketchup bottle. body was fucking perfect she was thick but not fat at all, fully proportioned with some swollen ass c cups. very nice. give her an 8. texted her later and said i was gonna tell my friend how sweet her pussy was and she said go ahead and report back the results. smart ass… haha. had a back over that night and she told me that stunner liked me. this is the one that my boy turned down because she was, well, too fucking perfect. idiot… gave a taxi money and stunner was over in less than 15 minutes. fucked the shit out of her and she came twice, i came last, roll the grass… that was great... top ten in my life as far as looks go and top 20 in sex. ok top 15 in sex… haha she was perfect from head to toe, athletic build about 5’2” and some perfect b cup titties that just stood up as if being snagged on fishhooks, no silicone bullshit. she tried to cause commotion about payment back at junquerra but a straightened her ass out. you see a was now pimp and wanted me to continue my business and my fucking her as main girl. therefore she had to mitigate all misunderstandings. a is back over the next night. a then informs me as i play with her slight tummy that she is two months preggers by her pimp’s nephew who just broke up with stunner. couldn’t make this shit up if i tried, couldn’t if i tried… stunner corroborated this story later. i summarily dumped a because she was becoming a bit of a risk for certain reasons. also one tenet i follow in this game is to keep it movin…

junquerra is wrought with problems if you are not somewhat seasoned and polite, yet firm. you have these three nailed down along with some patience, junquerra can be a treasure trove… if you get a bit queasy of pimps and horrible surroundings for your pickings then this place is not for you…

street action all through osmena circle and surrounding outlet streets. picked up an absolute 9 in front of jollibee. you will find most freelancers in the national bookstore/jollibee area. again not much but i really lucked out. she had recently departed volvo and i had her from about 12am to 1 am thurs night. very nice again, flawless body. had her back over fri night but then the sob stories came and i tipped her well for very exceptional performance and cut her loose. another fine girl and from the lower end of the hooker food chain as far as venue but a winner overall. she got into it with the mama who i found out runs for the most part thunderdome and volvo and got fired or quit, bet it depends on whom you talk to over that. however thanks for firing her mama (i knew that 450 drink was worth it, sorry i couldn’t make the wedding) because i got her fine ass at cut rate prices off the street. that chick was a stallion at about 5’7” with as much ass and tits as you could ask for. 800 short time plus 100 peso tip for naked pics in various but tasteful positions. 1500 long time with sob story taken into consideration. street action is going to be harder to find but they are out there. i did notice an obviously **** girl and her friend, they held hands and tried to knock me down with them when passing but they eventually unlocked and i could tell that was a very discreet invitation to start negotiations but the roaches gotta be big in those philippine jails.

sunflower:

heard this place was the bee’s knees but not much there when we went on an off tuesday night. had a band with a fine lead singer do her version of the latest destiny child song but nothing happening there at 11pm on tuesday, never gave it a chance.

massage:

never tried but will only do traditional with giggly “oops” feels for my entertainment in those venues. that’s all that will float my boat with massages. same same ktv. a few around cebu city but never went into any. sing a song? never got the idea of karaoke. one filipina heart girl i met up with could blow acapella pretty damn well though.

eats:

i fucking lived at the jollibee. don’t touch the burgers, stick to the chicken and spaghetti. best fries besides mcdonalds and that depends on what day you talk to me…

iced tea is big out there for some reason.

ate at a place called the golden cowrie? near sunflower. went there with a filipina heart prospect. ribs to fucking die for. also had the fried pork shank (forget name) with mushroom soup and unlimited regular or garlic rice. nice place, one also in sm if not mistaken.

also ate at max’s in sm. had the chow mein and a spicy minced pork dish with rice and bottomless iced tea. recommended.

the barbecue alley is also very talked about by the filipinas but never sampled. did a walk through and everyone will be on you for your business. barbecue row is supposed to be known throughout the city of cebu for their fine street barbecue. in osmena circle almost 11 o’clock from robinson’s doorstep. look for the light bulbs at night…

thoughts:

i was shocked at the third worldness of the phils. was not ready for that. the men stare at you like you are from fucking mars or something and when i tried to say hi and smile, few were returned. only if they wanted to sell you something were they polite but i think they were faking it. maybe it was me and my shock with just how third world it is. dunno, did not come away with a good feeling from the men. the women made up for the lack of infrastructure. they were so much fun to hang with. the men in thailand will ignore you or actually be somewhat genuinely nice. not in the phils in my experience. you need to be on your p’s and q’s. different vacation altogether from thailand but same same. the things the girls lack in thailand you will find in the phils. the lack of infrastructure in the phils is made up for in thailand. close, but they fill gaps in the other so to speak. had a blast however and will be back.

Men. I agree with Eaglestar this should be a nominated for a "Report of Distinction". I can attest. I'm the /Friend /"idiot" who accompanied Travelfox on this trip. Travelfox you are an asshole. ha ha. Thats for calling me an idiot.

Just to add. Guys who have never been to Manila. LA Cafe is everything positive that is reported on the ISG. I pulled two without a problem and had "BED OLYMPICS" gymnastics style with both of them. Great time. I will definitly make a return trip since I did not give it much of a chance on my first trip.

What can I say? The LOS was calling my name.

Wander Luster

i nominate it too! in fact it's 4:15pm saturday, and the report motivated me to now head down to j.......only been once but i've living here 9 of the past 16 months. the one time i went, i don't know what was up but taxi took me to a street i'd seen before and there were no girls. i didn't know about side streets. i think it was too early maybe (about 4pm).

fyi: yes, most bars are very cautious right now about bar fines, but it's lightened up. sometimes it's as simple as the girl walks out seperate from you and you meet at a cab. i've only bar fined 2 girls in 3 weeks, but that was my experience 3 days ago.

cabs, it just seems like a non issue. i would assume anyone vacationing here wants to see some of the city. i you just want pussy and that's all go to angeles. there are clubs, places to eat, tops, and of course the high speed ferry to island paradises nearby all of which you need a ferry to get to.

actually, guys here aren't bad at all. if you're in an area that's more poor and they never interact with westerners, they might be actually feeling "subordinate" to you. for sure there is a "macho" attitude most of them try to keep up. in fact, woman out of college are better employees! guys tend to be more spoiled. the call centers are 90% woman. my company is about 85% female.

i can't count how many young guys i've met in all different locations that are college grads. they are all extremely respectfully of westerners.

you're not called "sir" for no reason. somehow westerners have a higher status. i also know a lot about this from the gm of my company. she's taught me a lot about how philippinos are shy with westerneers and may be too subordinate.

now the un-educated off the path girl, that can be different. they all know that western guys have their eyes out for pretty girls...but don't have any real interest in meeting a stranger guy. if they're not too shy the reason they will smile or pay attention is the possiblility that they might find a westerner boyfriend or simply because they are thrilled at the idea that a westerner (a rare species to some) would be interested in them. that's no always true, but often true. i live out of the city center, so i've been learning more about how people "look at me" since there are rarely non phils people in this area. my area is something of a mix of upper middle class and poor but not super poor.

you're spot on about 3rd world part. if you hang out in the right places in cebu it's pretty much like bangkok in terms of how wealthy it feels. but most of the city is very very poor.

damn good report.

Nice report Travel Fox. The fact is though that the Philippines is a third world country and remember that you were in one of its most developed cities after Manila. If you really want to get a good look at third world attributes, trying going way out in the country away from the vicinity of any big towns. That's when the third (or fourth) "worldness" of the place will really hit you. It's a lot like being out in the African bush country. No elecricity, no running water, no indoor plumbing, no real stores, no retaurants and no real hotels. The welcome you would receive from the men in these places however, is the antithesis of what you experienced in Cebu. The greetings would be warm and heartfelt as these places do not see many westerners and you would be an object of great curiosity.

I think the reason for the lousy attitude of males in Cebu is the obvious preference the girls have for western guys. We have everything they do not and they're reminded of it every day. It's not the same at all in the smaller towns where no one is used to westerners and there's no resentment.

I have my doubts about her being the same girl. The girls change bars all the time but going from Viking to Silver Dollar would be considered a demotion. The other bars are bigger, have better dancing stages and most of all more well-paying customers. Also I don't remember her as being 'thick.' Thick isn't usually my type. However, it was back in November and I wasn't as wise about alcohol consumption as usual. There have been lots of months, miles and screwing around since then. I can't say I remember Jamaica that well.

Also there's a regular Silver Dollar girl whose name starts with J. She's outgoing and fun and I always enjoy with her even though I never take her out of the bar. I wouldn't exactly call her thick but not pencil thin either.

I was in cebu about 6 weeks in late 90s and looked EVERYWHERE for a decent liveable apt in a convenient location

The closest thing I found was th big highrise at th top of jones and to th right, don't know th name, and that was full and very expensive

Every place else was th typical filipino rathole

I'm wondering if there has been any new construction on a bi g scale a la BKK where there is a surplus of places at relatively klow prices

Any info appreciated

the are so many available, the landlords love to rent to foriegners as they can be ashored of the rent !
I am moving into a renavated 2 bedroom appartment with Garden and quite area of lapu lapu, only 5000 per month !
how did i find this well i have friend there who looked for me ! That is the best way ! or go there and i am sure you will find one in a week! Unfurnished !
but hey the prices for furniture is extremly chaep. New lounge 7000, queen bed 7000, fridge 8000, tv 16in 7000, i hp air cond anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000, Now if you chose second hand well the savings is cheaper! think about it you might even be able to sublet it to friends as i am doing this to fellow traverlers from australia. When say you get hotel for 1500 a night spend 30 nights thats nearly a years rent there ! i stay between 2 and 3 months a year so its a great saving and also on food too !

good luch , these are my ways everyone differs but i hope this will give you an insight!

"Sadly due to the vast number of men who are morons because they throw too much money at thai chics."

The difference between the girls thai cebu ! my opinuion only !
In Cebu no matter if the girl is from bar or street or a friend ! they all want the same thing ! to find foriegner who will take them as a wife ! Thailand mainly want money !!
So the price of what you pay the girl does vary, because its up to you as a person ! Do you give money to any charioty at home ?
I have give 5000 peso to a family who's daughter worked in a shop that i use to go to, their home burnt down ! thay wanted to know if i wanted to date their daughter i said no the money was a gift toi help them on their new shanty !
So if a man wants to pay what ever let him, don't critise and blame him that you have to pay more ! How much would you pay in your country for that service of sex ? half an hour maybe $100 so whats wrong to give a girl $50 for a whole night ! really if the girl likes you in cebu, you will find that all she wants is to be with you, not after money, thai never found such a girl, always want money!!!!
This is from my experience, I am sure other guys have had the same.
treat them right and they will treat you right ! You might find that you will feel better inside and never give a thought about how much she cost you! Because you can affrord it other wise you would stay at home!

I didn't realize ther were so many bleeding heart types on this forum -: ))

Porty- you give as much as you want, but your attitude is th kind that has ruined thailand. By throwing too much money at th girls you raise their expectations and they then expect th same money from all dopey falang/longnose.

Yes its more expensive in my cuntry but when I'm in th pi I'm NOT in my cuntry, am I? should food /hotels etc be as expensive in th pi/tland too, even tho th labor cost is 5% of western cuntries?

In asia in general, generosity and kindness are not viewed as virtues as they are in western cuntries, they are viewed as weakness and stupidity. If you give too much you are laughed at as a sucker

No, I do not give money to ANY charities

And its not my job to fix th pi thailand or any other godforsaken cuntry its th job of th people who live there when I go to places I expect to pay for services/products at th going local rate, not at a bloated tourist rate

In tland there is vast double pricing, falangs paying often 10x what th thai pays-- you think thats ok too? they rationalize it by saying th falang has more money. Rich thais have 1000s of times more money than I, should they pay 1000s of times th rate? your thinking is deeply flawed. Try having a double pricing structure in a western cuntry, you would be sued or go to jail!

If it is, up 2 u, as th thais say, but I wont buy into that sucker game and if you do thats your problem

As to yellaman, what you say is a non sequitur

If I have said anything racist, it is directed toeward th white idiots who have ruined tland w their bloated currencies, esp th japs and eurotrash

I don't blame th filipinos/thais-- if some idiot threw money at me I would take it too

Anyway its your money, you spend it th way you want, and I'll spend my money th way I want.

THX,

Porty is right. It's not about having a bleeding heart my friend. It's about caring about the countries and people that we visit on our whoring trips. Can I turn a blind eye to those bare foot children with no teeth and dirty hands as they beg me for a handout? Not if I can afford it. Your cynicism is shared by few people on this board. I'd like to think the majority of us contribute something to those third world countries we ply our trade in, even if it's a few handouts. After all, that small handout might mean the difference between a family eating something, or starving.

Not sure if they need it still but I was in Cebu when the Leyte mudslide happened. I offered to go help with relief work but they told me it was impossible to get there. They said if I wanted to help, I should give: not money but food and clothes. I spent about 50$ at the Ayala Mall on water, ramen, unrefrigerated milk, sandals, tee shirts, etc. I can make that in an hour or two where I work now and like Yella said, it's a way to give back to the countries I like to visit. If you are in Cebu, go to an info desk or the mall office on the 3rd floor and ask if they need help.

There are lots of ways to help people in the countries you visit without "inflating the economy" or driving up prices for service rendered. Call me a bleeding heart but I'm having the time of my life in Asia and I have nor regrets about giving a little back.

After you do these small gestures i imagine that you feel so good inside ! I know that feeling !
I live my life with one rule !! What goes around comes around !
To say i am lucky is understatement ! So many good things happen in my trips! When i shop at the local markets and the little children beg , as i am the only foriegner there. I just give them fruit as that way i know they have something to eat !

Thx1138 !!!!
So you pay the same for food and hotels in thai/Pi as in your country ! hmm
As I said what goes around comes around !!
They must realise that you are tight ! I usally get 50% of hotel rate and food well I pay local rates ! because where i eat they know me and treat me ant one else !
I mean really where can you get a 5 star resort for $50 a night with breakfast inc in your country ! Here in australia your looking at $200 a night for the same !
For a 3 star hotel in mactan i have paid $15 a night with breakfast! when the normal rate is $60. The reason why was simple I did bring lamb skin car seat covers for the manager, who is now after 2 years one of my best friends and i am god father of his first child! So if i was to use your thinking, i am stupid for buying the gift ! even though i saved 35$ a night for 2 months !
If you feel you are always getting charged more than locals !! start to think why, go deeper than I am a foriegner ! Change your attitude and you might find a change in their's ! In thailand i always did get my friends to hire motor bikes etc for me so there are ways around the double standard ! which does occur here in australia too! Just ask any visiting USA sailor especially in the clubs and taix's and bars and take out food joints !
Open your mind and your wallet you will end up feeling better than you do NOW !

the lst 3 or so posters are either feminazi trolls or just plain fools

As the man said, there is none so blind as he who will not see

Youtry to rationalize taking advantage of these desperately poor girls situations by simply giving them more money for their pussy than I do

But you will not see the truth that you are particiapting in that flesh trade th same way that I am!

If you really cared about these girls, you would stay in your won cuntries and just send money or whatever, and not travel there to buy their flesh, and pay a few more baht/peso whatever and say to urselves, I am good man

U are hypocrites!

So as bounderby said so aptly in dickens 'hard times': you know what you know, and I know what I know'

And I'll let it rest at that

As probably the Oldest Cebu veteran here,Lets try to put this in perspective,I personally know several of the people Porty does business with.He is generous,But What he gives He gets back many times in return,He gives a Hotel manager Lambskin seat covers and in exchange,He pays a very good rate,About 70% off which he has recovered the lambskin cover many times over. That manager used to be one of my employees. His apartment he is paying the local rate,Because He is a generally Good guy,They helped him get local price for his place,About exploiting the girl and asking if he cared about her,He married her didnt he???I dont think you can judge a guy unless you know him.He is not a fool,If you see the deals he has been getting on furniture, rates on girls at the KTV s amd MP s,He is paying local rates. He married a Cebu girl, has a place in Cebu and has some fairly ok friends here.No he is defenitely not a fool here in Cebu.He is considered by many people here as a good guy

I put this on another cebu based board so i thought i would share with you guys. Massages are not my favoured way but in Cebu when you want some daytime action before nightnite bars open here is a way of getting some boomboom for a relativaly small cost.

There are actually another two in Cebu city that im aware of. top of century hotel but when i went in 2005 there were only two girls, but the one i chose ended up becoming a friend and could of been a gf if it wasnt for a gf in Manila. I found out this trip that she is now in Hawaii. goodluck to her- she was a nice girl. The other massage is the Caesars Palace in Mobolo near SM supermall. I have never been there but when i stay at Kiwi lodge, it is only a ten minute walk from there. Maybe next trip.
I finally found the new finland after almost giving up. You will be on the opposite side of Guisano main, you walk past the talked about hallmark hotel. When you see hallmark you keep walking, you dont stop here as it is nowhere near here.

On the first street corner ahead you will see cebubank, keep walking, on the next street corner you will see security bank. cross over the street (guisano main side) to your right then proceed down the side street and its in a building on the right handside. you wont miss it as there is a finland sign flashing in the window.

I went upstairs, saw the girl with the famous number but instead chose number 23. her name is Jane. She gave a very nice rubdown but i had to initiate extras. she want 2000p but i played hardball and told her i only had 1500p. She accepted that like a good business woman would.

When her clothes came off she actually had a very nice body,

This is continued from AC. Flew Cebu Air in one of their new Airbus planes. Great flight, very comfortable, good looking sexy attendants, and cheap too. Arrived in Cebu for my first time around 3pm picked up a cab and headed for Holiday Plaza. Now this hotel is well located smack in the center of most of the action. They have clean, spacious rooms and a great staff. Again excellent value.

This is friday so I'm expecting to catch some good #$%^y tonite. I'm especially interested in Junquerra, but that comes later. I decided to check out robinsons and immediately get looks and walkby's on the stroll over. I go back to the hotel after catching up on email and wait patiently for dark to spread its comforting vail over the city.

I head out and find my way to mango street and start the journey. I find the first set of bars pick one and walk up the steps and in the door. Once inside there is a strip show going on with 2 beautiful pinays gettin down. I order my drink and watch. They seem pleased to see me and smile widely while doing their show. I watch for a bit and then mamasan sees me and heads over asking if I want a girl, "no just lookin, thanks." Next show all 20 of the girls get on stage and start dancing and playin' to the beat. I get alot of attention from one in particular so after the show I tell mama to ask her over for a drink. She comes over and looks about an eight and a half to me. She orders a drink and next thing I know mama orders a drink and I'm not happy. We small talk, after mama takes off but I'm not into this place now and I hury and finish my drink and leave. I don't like to be ripped!

I walk out and head across the street. to the Blackhole bar, nothin there so I go next door to Bikini Bar. In here I find alot of westerners and some pretty attractive honeys. I get the usual gagle asking the same questions but I'm not moved. They seem to move in shifts, about the third shift of young ladys and one really seems genuinely interested in a conversation beyond the usual rant. We click she sits and talks. I don't buy her a drink but its all good with her. After a bit she has to go on stage to dance. She does a sexy, sensual dance and comes back and sits. I get her number and promise to call tomorrow. I'm tired so I head out jump in a cab and tell him to take to Junquerra.

The driver agrees but twice tries to take me other places when I won't cave in he says ok, lock your doors. We drive for about 10 minutes and turn down a street that looks normal but the minute we start down 2 or 3 guys jump on the car and guide us into the hood. The girls come out, maybe 20 or so, and I don't see nothin'. There's girls way too old, way too young, way too ugly and nothin' just right. I ask for another group but the pimp says that's it. I choose one and leave. Back at the hotel things turn badly in the form of an attitude so I kick her out and hit the sack...I'm tired...

27 March. Arrived in Cebu from Korea after traveling and waiting on transportation for twelve hours. Flew Asiana into Manila and then on to Cebu for 545,000 won. Korean friend of mine is flying in straight to Cebu on Cebu Pacific for 300,000 won Tuesday night. I'll take that route next time.

About a forty minute ride later to Cebu Grande Hotel, I find there was nothing grand about the hotel at all. At 1400 Pesos a night, I was immediately disappointed by the trickle of water that hit me as I tried to rid myself of the days travel grime. Hell, it took me an extra twenty minutes to rinse off the super sudsy body wash I like so much, severly cutting down on my mongering time. The troop of ants march back and forth on my bathroom wall kinda takes away from the allure of the place as well. I'm definitely searching for new digs tomorrow. But not before I check out the Sunflower Disco to see what kinda freelancer action is out and about. More later!

So no shit, there I was at around midnight on a brand new day (28 March) in Cebu. Having tried the Sunflower Disco for some freelancer action and striking out because of any real strength in female numbers in the bar, I decided to go look around for some new digs. Paid a taxi on the meter around 50 Pesos drop me off at Midtown Hotel, also the home of Robinsons Mall. They wanted over 2000 pesos per night for a room, a little more than I wanted to pay so I blew outta there, crossed the street and walked a short distance when I saw a sign for the Holiday Plaza Hotel. As I was walking for the hotel, a young street walker approached me and offered to go with me to my room. She was lookin' fairly good (vision and judgement slightly blurred from too many Jack & Cokes) so I told her to wait for me while I checked on the hotel room rates. The rates were better for a standard room (1900 Pesos)so I booked one for me and one for a friend who is flying in on the 29th.

Back out the door and around the corner I start my negotiations with Dimples, as she liked to call herself, for my first night...er...morning of fun. She quickly started at 1000 Pesos. Hell, I was in a good mood and it was gonna be my first piece of Cebuano ass, so I agreed. I know from experience I could have gotten her down to 500-600 Pesos, but I was feeling charitable because I knew that 1000 Pesos wasn't gonna damage my finance's much.

Back at the hotel we shower, and I notice in between time that she had gone from an aggressively hunting and securing an evening meal ticket type "A" personality, into a fairly quiet, shy and laid back young lady. I was beginning to wonder if she was gonna be a dead fish. Not to worry. Things heated up fairly quick again once we were between the sheets, and the session turned out to be pretty good.........................................UNTIL...

She asked me if my cell phone had an alarm on it, and I told her yes. She asked me to set it for 7PM because she had classes to go to. I asked her what subject she was studying in college. She laughed and said...No, I'm in highschool. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well the rest of the morning after I quickly thumped her ass outta my room. I kept having these images of little brown skinned guys kickin' in my door and carting my dumb ass off to places we don't even want to dream about! I'll never, ever pickup another street walker without asking to look at her ID card. That was by far the worst situation I have ever place myself in by a long shot, and I'll be damned if I let it happen again. Yes, the pussy was great! Was it worth the stress it caused and is causing me now? Hell no! I might be leaving Cebu for Angeles earlier than expected. Damn! It's tough being a man!

Cebu Local: WHy is the KTV question hilarious? I've never been in one because I don't like karaoke, but it appears to me that some are simply sing-a-long places, but others have GROs. In Cebu there is Jerry's KTV on Mango and there's one right across from Ayala mall. Have you been inside either of these places?

Yella man: I thought you would be in Philippines at the end of April? Did your plans change or is this a long holiday or did I misunderstand your pm? I think I have your email written down somewhere....

As for your date with a hs girl, did you ask her about age? I've met quite a few twentyish ladies who had returned to hs to get their diploma. Well, better safe than sorry....

X-Man,

I'm in Cebu until the 1st of April. Then it's on to Angeles City in Pampanga until 6 April. I was supposed to link up with a few local posters but have been a tad busy the last 48 hours. And that HS girl? Well, I asked her her age before I tossed her outta my room and she said 18, but she didn't have the ID to back it up. Yup, it's better to be safe, than it is to be sorry. Anyway, send me a PM if anyones interested in drinks.

On another note, I moved from the Holiday Plaza to the Rajah Park. They are doing a promotional where you get one free massage during your stay with them. Also, breakfast (complimentary) is open from 6AM to 10AM...a little longer than most hotels. And it beats the Holiday plaza rate by about 150 Pesos. Rooms are great too. I'll Probably book here first next time I'm in town.

for those of you borderline ****s (-: ))) i highly recommend this well researched and comprehensive site:

www. ageofconsent. com

however, to be absolutely safe, my lawyer recommends to me to avoid anyhting under 18 yo

some cuntries have made it a crime for nationals to travel abroad to have sex w a girl under th age of legal consent in that cuntry, ie, 18 for th good old puritan tight-assed usa. your cuntry may vary! tho to my knowledge practically no one has been prosecuted under these laws, but who needs that kind of trouble?

as i am no moralist, and personally consider girls to be ready very willing and highly able to have sex once they start menstruating (u cant argue w nature, can u? ), i would add that in cuntries such as pi, tland, etc, were many 18 yo girls look like they are 12 anyway, if you need to bottom feed you may have a problem. -: ))

is it really worth going th gary glitter route?

ask urself this: are you feeling lucky? well, are u--- punk? !

Well, again you and I have different ideas about humor. With ferry services it is possible to drive from the northern tip of Luzon to the southern tip of Mindanao.

I don't remember the URL, but I remember someone doing this on motorcycles. It was a good story... Search a bit and you might find some answers, but there is no answer to exactyly how long it would take.

The next day I wake up and decide that I'm changing my plans and heading back to Manila the next day (sunday)in stead of monday. I go over to RM and change my ticket. At about 2pm I'm gettin' hungry and head over to Big Mao restaurant. Damn it's closed so I text the honey I met last night at the club and she tells me to call her, we meet about 3:30pm for lunch and all is good. I forgot how good she looked. We do some sightseeing and I decide I'll hook up with her tonite. Later that night at around 9pm I hear a knock on my door and she has brought her friend with her. Her friend is not as hot but but I say ok let's go.

We head out and do some bar hopping up and down mango. This girl has some fine ass friends who work in other clubs and I'm impressed! Anyway we decide to go to sunflower disco for some dancing. Now I'm a good dancer I know Salsa,Merengue, Bachata etc. So we tear the club up when they started spinnin' da hip hop...most guys brown or white, got no game when it comes to dance. Well about 2am we head back to the hotel(I send her friend home in a cab) and she gives me an excellent send-off, wakeup too. She never asked for any money but I gave her p500 and she seemed happy. Off to the airport and Manila for a night before I head back to Ilocos Sur.

Went to Sunflower Disco Thursday night to see the talent there during ladies night. I already had a girl lined up to come to my room at 3AM when she got off work, so I wasn't really lookin' to pick anything up. But shit man, It would have been too easy! The place was crowded with girls showing all kinds of interest in meeting a foreigner. Definitely a place to go if your looking for some free-lance action.

Anyway, the girl who swung by my room this morning was named Janeth. 20 years old and working outta the Palladium for the last three months. I gave her my business card and told her to call me. She texted me immediately after I left the club and said she would drop by my room after she was finished working. She was a pretty good lay and GFE. She wanted to hang-out with me the rest of my time here, but I normally don't roll like that so I politely declined, gave her 500 pesos for cab fair and showed her the door. Nice girl though. I'll check-out Pump Disco tonight to see what they have to offer.

I would caution anyone that Thursday is the only good night because of the "Sexy Lady Contest." Been there on every other night by myself and I stuck out like a sore thumb.

Thursday's are great though, got a lot of offfers. You can also connect with some of the ladies in the contest who don't make the final cut. A lot of them are there for the prize money.

Well, my Korean Chingo and I never made it to Pump Disco. We decided to hit a club next to Black Hole before going to the disco. I think it was called the Viking. It was my chingos last night in the Philippines, and he stumbled on something he wanted to spend the evening with, so we never actually made it out to the disco. Because it was my last night in Cebu, and because I had an early check-out in the morning, I strayed away from my usual routine of giving the girls my number and waiting for them to call or text me after they finished work. Instead I selected two girls, bought them a few drinks, paid their bar-fines (1700 Pesos) and then headed for the hotel for some all out fucking and sucking. They were great! After a few sessions I gave them a tip and sent them on their way. I had to get some rest for my trip the following day to Manila and then Angeles City.

Cebu is a relaxing and fun city to hang around, with many opportunities at some real non-pro action with good quality educated Filipinas. I met one girl from Filipinaheart.com who is an IT student in her first year of college. Sweet girl. Too sweet, so instead of shagging her ass, I took her to dinner and made conversation with her for several hours. A really nice girl. I had contact from several other girls from the same site, but because I was already hooked-up with other girls during most of my stay, I had no time to meet them. I could imagine I would fuck myself silly if I retired and stayed here full time. Over all there was much more to do during the day in Cebu then in Angeles City, and there is a better selection of restaurants to choose from while dining. If I had two choose between the two, I would choose Cebu if staying for a week or longer, and Angeles City for stays shorter than five days. If you’re a player and like an assortment of girls to play with, Cebu is for you. If you’re only interested in bar girls, head to AC. You’ll get more than your fill of them in four days.

Thanks to those who nominated my trip report for distinction.

Yella man, nice job and exactly how I thought it would be with respect to Angeles (though I have never been to Angeles). I chose Cebu because of the opptys with the local women and the P4P scene sounded like it was up my alley. Not really a bar person and the freelance action, though not as robust as Pattaya, is very plentiful in Cebu indeed.

Nice report.

Not all of these places are brand new, but they were new for me...

Tina’s go go
This place is right next to Mercedes hotel. It has mostly Pinoy customers. There were a few cute girls, but most looked like mothers. I talked to the manager who says they are planning a big refurbishment. The owner is apparently the former owner of Black Hole.

Gecko’s
From Fuente Osmena circle head east on Maxilom, past the church and bar area and you’ll find Gecko’s on the corner. No dancers, but waitresses have sexy outfits and seem very friendly. I doubt if you can do take out, but I didn't ask. Ex pat owned. Good place for a drink before the 8pm openings of the go-go bars. I had a burrito to eat, but it wasn’t very good. First floor is a counter bar. Second floor has a pool table and dining tables.

Temptation go go
If you are on Maxilom, turn right on the same street (maybe D. Jakosalem) as Gecko’s and you will quickly see this new Go-go bar. It is very spacious and has some attractive women. I prefer Viking and Papillion, but this place has potential. See the picture.

Badgers
This is just past Gasiano Country mall. on M. Cenco, on the right side. This is a sports bar with a large TV. This is an excellent place to take a date. It is very well done, good food, good service. The second floor dining area has few customers during weeknights. One night when I was there, a group was practicing salsa dancing…including two that were really hot. The group struck me as middle class ladies, so mind your manners gentlemen.

And old:
The old Firehouse go go, now FH, certainly isn't as much fun as it used to be. But some of the girls are pretty nasty...they'll dance on the bar counter sometimes. Worth a visit to check the odd blue jean outfits.

Our place. This is a downtown bar/ restaurant. No ladies available. The pepper steak was great.

Unless you have tons of money, carry some small bills.

Most guys here have this "keep the change" mentality.

I once end up paying 1000 pesos for HJ when her asking price was just 500.

While staying at the Rajah Park Hotel and having dinner at the always open Abuhan Restaurant near the hotel, an older women approached us and asked me and my chingo if we needed women for the night. My chingo just arriving from Korea at the late hour of 3AM in the morning was kinda tired and in need of some sleep, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see what type of girls mamasan was talking about. I asked her how far a walk to the girls? She said, "Don't worry...I bring girls to you. Just wait at gas station there". My chingo and I walked to the gas station, bought a couple of beers and waited for mamasan to return.

Fifteen minutes later mamasan returns in a taxi with four other girls crammed in the back seat. They all look kinda young and my chingo and I don't see anything striking so we decline to pick a girl from mamasans line-up. Seeing that we aren't interested, mamasan tells us to wait because she has more girls. She jumps in her taxi and departs.

Another beer later, she returns with a second group of girls. My chingo see's something he likes so I ask mamasan the price. 1000 Pesos she says. Now I know I should bargain with her and get a better rate, but my chingo is tired and it's going on 5AM so I hand her 1000 Pesos. She say's, "What about you?" I tell her I don't see anything interesting. Once again she say's, "Wait, I have more girls", and jumps in her taxi and takes off.

A half a beer later she returns with yet another set of girls. I look through the window of the taxi, pick a cute one and pay mamasan the 1000 Pesos. Mamasan then asks me to pay the taxi fare. I gave her 50 Pesos towards the fare and she seemed ok with that.

Back at the Hotel with our new dates for the rest of the morning, we stop at the front desk to get our keys and sign the girls in. I like the signing in part because the hotel staff checks my new dates ID card. If it's ok with them, then she must be legal. Up the elevator we go!

In the room however, my girl acts like she has never had sex before and is very shy. I did get a nut, but it wasn't all that fun being with her. Maybe she was too young and just had a fake ID card drummed up some place by mamasan. No tip and out the door she goes because I needed to get some sleep.

Overall it was an interesting experience. I believe mamasan would have brought us girls all night by taxi had we asked her to do so. The girls are definately not pro's and need a lot of training. I, for one wouldn't do it over again, but it's an option for those of you who get in on a late flight and find yourselves without a bed warmer. Just hang around the Abuhan Restaurant and I'm sure mamasan will find you.

Yella ManMy first posting here on ISG :-)

I think it is not so important where this restaurant really is or which of the restaurants you're really talking about. At the corner Maxilom Ave (=Mango Ave) / Ramos there are in the night always several pimps and one or two mamasans asking tourists for girls. One of them might be the one that had asked the two guys in this restaurant. But it might have been ANY restaurant in this area too.

I think it is not so important weather you are sitting in the Abuhan restaurant or somewhere around in this area to get in contact with that mamasan. Near to this restaurant, at the corner Maxilom Ave / Ramos St there are all over the night some pimps and one or two mamasans, offering to the tourists some girls. One of these mamasans might have approached Yellow Man while he and his friend was sitting there in Abuhan restaurant, but this might have happened in ANY restaurant nearby too.

This is the way I remember it...

Walking down Ramos ST. from Robinsons, you'll come across a large white restaurant with the name Abuhan II. I've never been inside. It looks like an upscale place.

Walking further, past some bars, you'll come to the entrance of Kan Irag Hotel, which offers cheap, but well worn room. If you walk inside the lobby, keep walking to the left of the reception counter, you'll enter Abuhan restaurant. It's not much to look at but has some very good food. I can't imagine a pimp approaching people in there, but then I don't think I've ever been in there without a date.

The original poster wrote about waiting for the girls at the gas station. I'm guessing that is back on Mango Ave across from the bookstore. I wonder if that was the pimps suggestion or the johns.

That gas station as well as a Chinese run grocery on Ramos seem to be overcharging foreigners. In both places I noticed the cashier would ask a manager about the price of a certain product I was buying -- bottled water. In both cases the price was significantly higher than in other places, such as the pharmacy at Fuente Circle. In reality, it's only pennies, but I still don't like the idea of getting a foreigner surcharge.

Pals,

I return shortly. Have to see my dwarf again (photos in Davao sec.) and two other ladies. I am thinking of trying the Waterfront Hotel near Ayala Mall. What is the general "take" on this place? A bizarre character named Sinbad whom I met in Makati last August said this was great and the Italian Restaurant inside was fabulous. Anyone know if this is accurate? This guy SInbad was constantly fucking wasted, but he did manage to fuck some lovely, young pros in Makati.

About three years ago, I stayed in this hotel which I had been told was among the nicest in Cebu city. The room was grungy. Needed paint; dirty windows and the bathroom needed regrouting. The TV didn't work and it took two appearances by the maintenance man to get it working. We left the next day.

As I recall, the lobby was rather opulent and would lead you to believe that the rooms are commensurate, but its not so.

Greetings DS,

Spent a few nights there last year and I would compare it to the Marriott both in comfort and price. The small and tacky rooms sort of reminded me of the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. I believe it was around $70 USD a night but it probably went up. I don't remember an Italian restaurant but there are several places to eat. What I do remember is the buffet, as Snake mentions, with so many selections it will make your head spin. I only ate there for breakfast which was around $10 USD. I think the executive chef is European. The swimming pool is huge as well. Make sure you drink a few sparklers for me!

I stayed there for 4 nights last month. The cost was $85 per night. The breakfast buffet at Uno's was very good and was included in the price. I never had dinner there. My friend and his traveling companion had a few dinners at some of their restaurants and said they were very good. One was the Japanese restaruant Mizu. I don't know if they ate at the Italian restaurant.

I would say it is a very good hotel. I have some good memories from staying there. However I would not stay there again as my last memory was the bill. They charged $4 per small bottle of Evian water of which I and the ladies drank several. At $30 plus dollars for water, I just feel they cheated me.
