Pals.
Thanks to all of you for your great advice. I cannot bring m two little girls here as they raid the "in room refrigerators". I would end up with a $ 150 bill for the sodas and candy and everything else they would consume.
I will have dinner here with my dwarf and ask to see the rooms. WIth my discount I pay $ 38/nt at Crown Regency (formerly Metropolis Court) for a deluxe room (very large with two queen beds and nice bathroom/bathtub) and $30/nt for one of the "Theme Rooms" on the first floor with a jacuzzi (much smaller).

Take 2 Hr Supercat from Pier 4 to Ormoc Cit. Beautiful and great beaches and lovely resort down past Don Felipe Hotel. Don Felipe was recently renovated and has rooms facing the ocean.
3 1/2 hour boat ride gets you to beautiful Dumaguete. Read the Board there for more info on the lovely seaside CIty. Has great resorts outside town on the beach with pools.

is not the first picture somewhat of a give away?
over my 15+ years in the pi i have not met many "non-bar" girls who would send me a picture like that.

I'll take Marriott over Waterfront anytime.
I stayed at the Waterfront last August and I found the same signs of neglect as some of the others. At the time Cebu Local told me that the place is run by the son of the original owner and he just doesn't know what he's doing. Some things are good, like the buffet breakfast and the pool.
I find Marriott to be a better location anyway, being right next to Ayala and much closer to the Mango Ave. bars. Waterfront is mainly good for Sunflower Disco and the complex of bars and restaurants across the street from the main entrance.
If you're worried about the minibar, you can just ask housekeeping to take it all away. Then just stock the fridge with your own stuff that you buy from outside.
But you can ask hotels to remove the contents of the refrigerator. most are acceptable to that request.

Most decent hotels should be able to do this for you, assuming you've been their guest. Holiday Plaza has a locked storeroom right next to their check in counter. I kept some things there when I was in Bohol for two days. There was no extra charge.

Muf Diver, thanks for enlightening me there, I thought I had met many nasty girls in my time but obviously not. I have never had any Philippino girls use fucky fucky or sucky sucky, with me, this is more Hong Kong, Suzy Wong or Pat Pong bar girl. I think this girl has a kid and a previous foreign boyfriend.
On the photos, I cannot understand what the deal is because trust me there are several studios in Cebu that take such photos that will guarantee these girls their Honey Ko will be soon over to marry them. Several years ago when Filippinas could easily get to work in Japan as a Japauki on an Entertainment license, I met many girls, ex-Japauki, who on their return, were very desperate to get back out and snare a foreign husband rather than face a life working, if they were lucky, in Jollibees and many of them took and sent out such photos.
I’ve had many of these types of photos the last one sent back in 2001 and the girl was naked, holding her tits and laying flat on her stomach. Life sucks when you have to work constantly.
I am looking forward to this Trip. Few days in China first and then to Manila for a day or two with my lovely Jade. Crown Regency in Guadalupe has about 40 rooms with large jacuzzi bathtubs in the room. The rooms are not real big like the Rooms located on the 2nd and 3rd floors but the jacuzzi is great. Each is decorated on a different theme. "Roman", "Aviary", "Galleon" (decorated after state rooms on Titanic), "Alien" (has circular bed and ceiling with outer space view and there is a glass case containg an actual "alien creature" from the movie, "Aliens". I like all the above and the one called "Nature" with the jacuzzi in a pond like setting and the bed made from wood shaped like branches.
The list goes on and on. Some of these are rented ONLY for four hours as many Filipinos drop by during the day and have mistresses with them. You can park your car in the lower level and use a stairway up to these rooms undetected. They did NOT raise rates on these rooms after remodeling.
These rooms are great for fucking with the large jacuzzi. I often take one for the first two days here and then get a large room upstairs. I would like to have two babes at once in the jacuzzi. Maybe this Trip.

Guys if you're looking for a good lay of the land (no pun intended) take a look at lonely planet PI. It's the most thorough about the visayas. don't even have to buy. just go to a bookstore in your country and it's also in many national bookstores in the PI where it's cheaper but you will have to buy.
It also identifies which plasces are the "best bets" and you can really tell someting from those. For me, if you are in Cebu and want an island paradise to go to there is no competition: Panglao. I'm quite I don't hear more people mentioning Bohol (Panglao is a tiny island off the large island of Bohol and connected by 1/2 kilometer bridge) as part of their trip to Cebu. That's the place to go. Maybe they want to keep it a secret. BTW, it's closer than things around Negros.
It's quick close by super cat and taxi (3 hours total, tops) from an uptown hotel. BRING a girl. Alona beach is the bomb. Not too touristy, but also not too quite. People from all over world find there way there. if you like snorkeling or scuba then you must go. if you're a good swimmer, it's amazing for someone that wants to see an awesome very long reef.
Hotel suggestion: on the higher price range, try "bohol beach club" it's NOT on alona, you'll be more one your own with your honey. But what a spectacular setting and very reasonable for what you get. Maybe $60 a night. On Alona places are more simple. most about $30. Bohol Nature...is another price up from Bohol Beach club but I think worth it if you want to pay in the 70-80 range.
I won't give away my favorite place on Alona since it's already too popular and hard for me to get reservations (-: But second choice is Crystal beach because it's secluded, has an awesome pool, but a 500 yard walk and you are out of seclusion and on the best part of the beach. Rooms readily available.
It's an top of a cliff. Ask if you can have a place looking out on the sea over the cliff. They're 2 floor places with the bedroom loft on top. very reasonable.

Anyway, for them to go work in a bar abroad is really tough. One of the 2 was going to go to a bar in Singapore, but she just didn't know 100% what she was walking into. And, it's not legal with her gov or singapore. She'd go on a tourist visa.
She knew people that had done it. But if it's kinda an underground way of doing this...there's more risk. This girl is smart and can go back to school when she has some more cash. So, I talked her out.
But I don't think something like the japan thing exhists now.

I have been leaving bags at Crowne Regency over the last eight years with no problem and "free of charge". In a few cases I left them there after going back to the USA (did not have time to return to Cebu). Never lost anything doing this.
I know a few isolated resorts on the Island where my woman and daughter live in our home. PM me for this as I do not want to publish too much direct information here, for the sake of my woman and little girls. I still like Ormoc City though as you have beaches, tons of college girls and lovely resorts. Same holds true for Dumaguete City.

Wow, I got an instant education on Pinoy girls' emotional problems!
The girl I was chatting with (further down the page with two photos and the same heading) became a little weird.
On a chat session she brought her brother and sister-in-law. Another day, she brought her aunt and cousin. Next day she brought two of her (good looking (I started drewling when I saw these cuties) girlfriends. All these people were first hiding outside the camera frame. As I caught the movements on the screen, I asked her is she with someone else. Then she introduced them to me! It seemed as if she was showing me off - the reverse of fish bowl situation!

I second another monger's view in his posting about Pinoy girls. They are SUPER EMOTIONAL compared to their counterparts anywhere in the world. Even a bargirl is in love with you, and very passionate, as she is ALWAYS looking for a foreign husband, and LOVE. This is a big difference from the Thai girls or the latinas. The money was the number one objective for them.

Firstly, your story about your chatmate is very typical to the kind of things going on at net cafes. It is too bad that Jackson has not started a new thread on this subject since X Man and Blink157 requested it a while back so that certain threads would not be monopolized. Maybe you and I should make another request for the creation of a pinay internet liasion thread!
Secondly, You did not scan back far enough in this thread because there is a whole lot of info back there. As for myself, I've seen and/or have had good luck at the casino in Waterfront Hotel, the French Baker in SM Mall and several Bo's coffee locations around town. Make sure you check out the Sunflower disco, especially on Thursday nights because it is ladies night. You will have a better chance if you know how to dance since a lot of women can really throw down on the dance floor! What can I say, I'm in a good mood!

I have lots of other questions, but as a newbie I don't want to take up a lot of bandwidth. The main question is, is there a summary of hotels that are good geographically and WG friendly? Other web sites? Any suggestions?

A good starting point is the below website. Work your way to Cebu City and you will find a hotel map. Except for an experience at the Marriot, I have not stayed at a hotel in Cebu that is not "girl friendly." Also, always select a double room. Some hotels do appreciate you keeping a low profile with a girl, i.e., no dry humping in the lobby or long good night kisses at the front door.
Becasue I like to be centrally located, I stay at a hotel close to Osmena Circle.

I have stayed at West Gorordio and Mango Park. West Gorordio has nice balconies, large rooms and has bathtubs (great for bubble baths, most girls here haven't had one). Breakfast included and can have it in room, for no extra cost. You can have money exchanged at fair rate at front desk, they have a money changer who delivers. Mango Park is a little more homey, has a small pool on rooftop, has a coffeeshop/bar, a KTV next store, and you can catch the 13C to Ayala for 7-8 pesos. Taxi 36-40 pesos. Breakfast included down in coffeeshop.
I am going to be in Cebu in May, if anyone wants to hook up for a few beers.

I think it was Mufdiver who asked this. I like Crossroads for both dining out, dinner dates and single women. This is good for single women definitely on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights after 10:00PM when the Band begins playing.. Not certain about the rest of the week, as I usually have eaten dinner and headed elsewhere by 10PM. There are many restaurants here, including fine dining, a nice Japanese restaurant and a Bar/Restaurant that is dimly lit with a cozy atmosphere that stays open till 04:30AM. Also, a very upscale massage/health parlor.
For the Pro Girls I like the Silver Dollar on Osmena Blvd south of the Circle from 4:30PM to 9:00PM during its Happy Hour. It has very few customers then, lower rates on drinks and from 10 girls at 5:00PM to about 40 by 7:30PM. This place can be fun in the later evening but very crowded. Most of the customers then are older ex-pats and I would say that 90% are very heavy smokers. Never having smoked, I can personally state that I cannot stand this.
Last August I returned late one night to my Hotel and had to remove all my clothes and take a bath just to get the smell off. My clothes reeked and I had to have the Hotel clean all of them. For non-smokers you will definitely prefer this place during the early evening hours.

Was in Cuba last December and stayed at the Marriott. The first night I returned at approximately 11:30 pm with my find. On the way to the elevator one of the employees, I believe who was working the reception desk, asked me where I was going with the girl.
I made a sharp remark that I had paid for a “double room” and just kept on going. Needless to say, the next day I checked out. I just don’t need that type of embarrassment.

You may want to check out the web site I provided just a few post back. It has a hotel map of Cebu City.
If you fly Cebu Pacific (in country) to Cebu the Midtown has a good deal. I showed them my boarding pass and got a standard room for 1400p.
Are there any hotels on or near the circle that are all or almost all of the following:
Quiet
Clean
Good cable
Good a/c
Reasonably priced
Or is that asking too much?

What is the quality of the Cebu Midtown Hotel now? This is at the Fuente Osmena Circle. I know it had been very nice before. But I had lunch in the restaurant a few months back and it was now a "cafeteria style" place. Had been very nice for many years. Are the rooms nice and elegant still?
Does anyone know if the other Hotel at the Circle (had been Park Place for years) is open? They were completely remodeling it for a long time. The entire interior had been gutted when I stopped for a look. In the early 90's I stayed at the Diplomat Hotel on F Ramos St. Cafe Adriatico (now at Crossroads) was directly across from it. I will still stay at Crowne Regency Hotel with my children and woman. But I am looking for a new place for my other activities in Cebu where no one knows I might stay. I have had too many "close calls" recently when at Crowne Regency.

Stayed at the Midtown in December. It was a bit worn, but since I flew into Cebu on Cebu Pacific I go a good rate of 1400p for a Deluxe. All in all, it was not bad.
The other hotel you speak of - that was the Park Place - is open. It now has a glitzy "Casino Fillipino" sign. I stayed there on my trip back from the provinces. They had just opened and had a promo rate of 1900 p for a Standard, however, the room was very small. Did not like it.
I stopped at the Diplomat about a year ago. it looked so bad it scared me off.

What is the quality of the Cebu Midtown Hotel now? This is at the Fuente Osmena Circle. I know it had been very nice before. But I had lunch in the restaurant a few months back and it was now a "cafeteria style" place. Had been very nice for many years. Are the rooms nice and elegant still?
Does anyone know if the other Hotel at the Circle (had been Park Place for years) is open? They were completely remodeling it for a long time. The entire interior had been gutted when I stopped for a look. In the early 90's I stayed at the Diplomat Hotel on F Ramos St. Cafe Adriatico (now at Crossroads) was directly across from it. It had been remodeled a few years back. Anyone know the status of this Hotel?

I think the Midtown is similar to the Apo View in Davao. Built a few decades ago, used to be the class of their respective towns. But decades of neglect have seen them falling apart one shower head at a time. I even stayed in one of the supposedly renovated rooms about a year and a half ago but plaster was falling off here and there.
Other annoyances: The TVs are set at a weird angle to the bed the remote often doesn't work without getting up and standing about 6 inches away. It's been like this in multiple rooms and changing the batteries didn't help. The breakfast is a bit lackluster. They never seem to keep the milk or juice filled up. If you use the Cebu Pacific promo breakfast is extra anyway I think. Luckily, the White House restaurant next door has a cheap all-you-can-eat buffet.
The pool is humorously small. But it is fun to go there on a Sunday morning with a bargirl when the haughty church ladies are going to the meeting room there. The gym equipment was being upgraded last time, so hopefully it's not as broken down as before.
Lots of shady people hang around outside at night. I wouldn't recommend using them. You'll probably end up with a ladyboy.
Finally, there's the infamous 2-elevator ride to get to your room.
But this place still has its advantages, run down though it may be. First of all the location's great. It's walking distance to lots of the bars mentioned here, numerous eating places, money changers and travel agents. It's also on top of Robinsons Mall, which has freelancer opportunities. Raintree Shopping Center across the street has a handy laundry and some internet places.
The views from the rooms are fantastic if you get above the 7th floor or so.
At 1400 with the Cebu Pacific Promo and maybe low 2000s without, it's still good value.
Finally, it's guest friendly.
All in all I'm still inclined toward the Marriott these days, even though it costs a fair bit more.

Crowne Regency is nine years old. It was Metropolis Court and has just had extensive remodeling, including a complete remake of the Pool, Jacuzzi and the Entertainment Center on the second floor. However, the rooms on 2nd (deluxe) and 3rd (superior) floors are unchanged. These are very nice but have almost doulbed in price from a net of P 1050 a few months ago to P2100 now. They are large and have two queensize beds. This is great for my two little girls. Also, my one lady brought her 4 y/o daughter along once 9asked first and got my ok). The second bed made her feel "grown up" and gave us some privacy when the daughter slept.
This Hotel has the Wild Orchid Massage on the second floor. I like to have a girl sent to my room if whatever lady will not arrive for a few hours. I get a massage for P400 and extra service is P1500. I have done best when the Hotel simply calls and has a girl sent to my room. never was happy when i went and picked out the girl.
This place has "Theme Rooms" on the first floor. These are still a great value as they are keeping the price low for them. They have large jacuzzi tubs in them. I love bathing with a girl in the jacuzzi and fucking her good. I paid p1800 for one of these rooms in Feb 06.

Some info to share as promissed. In Cebu on Tuesday with my girlfriend so not looking to pick-up just going out, the action there was slim to none anyone good looking was with somebody and not much around.
In Panglao Island at Crystal Coast Villa, it was recomened I did not care for it, it is up high o the rocks and has no beach, but that is OK sometimes it is hit or miss. Some of the other resorts looked nice they have places on the beach like Alona Palm Beach and Alonaville Beach Resort. As far as the beach goes do not expect Boracay you will be disapointed.

Daring MoodThere must be a market for a daytime bar in Cebu - as far as I know the nearest you will get is Silver Dollar which opens at 5pm and Lisas in Mandaue which opens at 6pm.
In terms of "bars," the Silver Dollar (just off Osmena Circle) opens with a happy hour at 4 pm.
I have gone to the open air bar across from the St. Moritz (off Gorordo Ave - where Magellan hotel was), but thats hit or miss.
If you really feel frisky, try the open air bars below the Capital on Osmena (Blue Bar was my favorite). Sit down and have a beer, the natives will do the rest.
My favorite mp is the Finland (tell cab driver LU Yum Blg. on Colon). Its not the Ritz, but it's open 24/7 and is one of Cebu's oldest. I have been able to drink a beer and pick in a relaxed setting. Usually got good service. The worst I have been in is Hearts. You have a plywood bed in a dismal 4x4 room.

Well I am back in HK now, and I have to say Cebu was very disappointing. Maybe I am too spoilt by the delights of China and Thailand, or maybe the slapper I met through FH (the reason I went to Cebu) was only good for a roll, but after four days together her lack of brain cells finally got to me ... anyway found nowhere to monger during the day. The taxi driver brought me to a massage joint which looked promising after an initial inspection of the ladies. However, the massage room had about 20 other guys being massaged at the same time. In the massage center has a big sign over the door reading "Health Massage" then that is exactly what it is..

I know they have a separate Crowne Regency Annex hotel across the street, but I understand it's quite a bit smaller. I wish I had taken a look at the rooms in the annex last year.
I really do like this hotel because it's kind of out of the way, not too crowded. And I can put up with the cab fares to get to Osmena Circle and Ayala mall.

Made it to the Metropolis for a massage last year based on the Slayer's recommendation. Great recommendation!!!! The young lady I selected from a rather limited fish bowl was quite attractive and attentative. Shared the jacuzzi and then got down to business. I forget the total fee, but I think it was about 1,500 P. Great way to spend a hot afternoon in Cebu.

WL recommends LP. I like the maps and info about out of the way places. Nevertheless, it has some serious shortcomings. Prices seem out of date. Also, they won't tell you about the seedier nightlife. At the very least they should list "areas to avoid" so that guys like us could find what we want. :-) Years ago when I was in the military I would take advantage of the "places to avoid" which were written up in "location reports". I always found what I wanted.
I concur with the Panglao recommendation. Take a girl and enjoy.

I just got here on the 15th. I was looking for cell phone service as well. I ended up cruising around looking for places that offered to "open up" my existng cell phone. Cell phones are critical for avoiding unecessary bar fines, etc. Bottom line for me:
Went to a place in SM mall, near maxs restaurant. They opened my triband razr for 1,200 peso. The sim card (smart was the provider) was 150 peso. Got a 500 peso load for texting. Please note they were the FOURTH place i checked...and the only one who could do it. There's some difficulties with certain phones...and skill varies greatly from place to place.
Lots of used phones and open boxes here for fairly high prices. Seemed easier and cheaper to convert my phone. The only problem now is the girl from Finland massage keeps texting me. hehe. (just ask for the "Lu Yum" building...many taxi drivers know it. it is south of fuente osmena)

Last week i finally made it to Silver Dollar. I stopped by at 9:30PM, late for me here. I had some free time and wanted to see the action here. It was great.

Later, I moved over to another set of girls and mentioned that the barfine here was too expensive. They told me -what!?! We have the cheapest barfine in Cebu for only 650 P!!!
If you go into Lone Star, be prepared to be mobbed by the girls. There are just too many of them, and there isn't enough business to go around. Even when you ask to be given some space, they are hovering.

As mentioned by other mongers, give this place a miss. Most of the women are old and haggard. There are a couple of decent girls, but with poor attitudes. Maybe it is the management? This place is depressing. I made the mistake of barfining a girl here in February. She had a lousy attitude in bed and became irate when I only offered her a 500 P tip. I thought I was being generous since I didn't really enjoy myself. She compalined that the 2000 P barfine I paid went entirely to the bar and she got none of it. I almost believed her as she refused to leave until I got insistent.

What's the deal with this place. You are placed in chairs with a small table centered around a dance stage. Two girls dance while the others sit in rows of chairs at the side. All the girls have numbers, so I am guessing that you have to request them. There were about 6 men in the place and none had any girls sitting at the tables? I didn't stay long as there weren't any girls that interested me. Also, my San Miguel was the most expensive I've experienced in Cebu bars. Didn't bother to ask about the process or the fees.

It recently underwent renovations with new booths, tables, etc. They even have this brass cage off to the side for dancing. I've not barfined here as each time I've only seen some very average girls. I think I was told 650 P barfine.
Prices in General.
I think it is safe to say that 650-700 P is the price the bars take as a barfine. If there is a premium on that, it should be going to the girl. So, how much should the girl get for a night's work? My rule of thumb is that the girl should get 1500 P as base salary (what the bar gives her plus what I give her), and tipped on service. How much for tip? My thoughts are that it should be 500 for ok service and 1000 for exceptional.
What do the other mongers say?

I would be very careful about paying a barfine that includes the tip. I did that at the Viking and got absolutely terrible service. The girl claimed period, would not give head, etc. My nephew, who is a good looking guy, had the same experience.
I have always regarded Papillon, Love City, and Dimples as tourist traps (forgive the pun). In Papillon, I tried paying for a beer with a large bill, they gave me the change in coins then all gathered around and laughed.
Lone Star is fun if you are just starting off the evening, however, I have found some real bad attitudes in there. For example, a group of girls once asked me to buy them a pitza because they were hungry. Since this is a soft spot with me, I bought them a pitza. When I would not buy everybody a drink, at the bars inflated price, they called me "cheap." Tought me a valuable lesson.
I have always found the Silver Dollar to be the best spot. The girls are not all stunners, but they are fun, and will perform as expecected.
I did not realize Exotica had changed its barfine to the all-inclusive system. I heard it recenty changed hands.

As mentioned by other mongers, give this place a miss. Most of the women are old and haggard. There are a couple of decent girls, but with poor attitudes. Maybe it is the management? This place is depressing. I made the mistake of barfining a girl here in February. She had a lousy attitude in bed and became irate when I only offered her a 500 P tip. What's the deal with this place. You are placed in chairs with a small table centered around a dance stage. Two girls dance while the others sit in rows of chairs at the side. All the girls have numbers, so I am guessing that you have to request them. There were about 6 men in the place and none had any girls sitting at the tables? I didn't stay long as there weren't any girls that interested me. Also, my San Miguel was the most expensive I've experienced in Cebu bars. Didn't bother to ask about the process or the fees.

It recently underwent renovations with new booths, tables, etc. They even have this brass cage off to the side for dancing. I've not barfined here as each time I've only seen some very average girls. I think I was told 650 P barfine.
Prices in General.
I think it is safe to say that 650-700 P is the price the bars take as a barfine. If there is a premium on that, it should be going to the girl. So, how much should the girl get for a night's work? My rule of thumb is that the girl should get 1500 P as base salary (what the bar gives her plus what I give her), and tipped on service. How much for tip? My thoughts are that it should be 500 for ok service and 1000 for exceptional.

About a month ago i went to Cebu. What a dirthole. Definitly one of the ugliest and uninteresting cities i ever saw. Also went to Mactan Island, a wasteland. There is basically NOTHING, then a bunch of overpriced ghetto beach resorts.
No action at daytime at SM Mall and Ayala Mall (what the heck, one of the biggest malls i ever saw, and that in a 3rd world country on an Island). And also saw some foreigner guys sitting alone at some coffee bars, maybe it takes a few hours till a freelancer sits down - retired people sure have enough time- lol.
Midtown Hotel is total crap for the price you pay. Stuff sucks, breakfest too. Did anyone tried the pimps outside ?

But will I expect that when I am 60? No! It's a totally different experience and I know that it will be. All the complaining on here....I have never experienced that. I don't think I've seen any of the bad attitude after bar fining more than 20 girls in cebu over the last 2 years.
Looks, attitude, hair color, sense of humor, etc....Some of us have 'em 100% and lose them as we grow old. Some of us GAIN in their popularity with Cebu girls as they get older. This is easy as it's a flat 700 Pesos. The girls here are great for attitude, although they may not have the best selection of lookers. There are a few babes, but many are pretty average. 1500 Pesos seems to be the rate for the girl, although you may be able to negotiate. Ask first if they are staying in the morning as many have children and don't prefer to stay.

I barfined a little darling that had great GF attitude. I think she was the only young one there as the others looked a bit old and worn. I was quoted 1500 P short-time (three hours) where 700 goes to the bar and 800 to the girl. If you want overnight, it is 2400 P with 700 going to the bar. I chose the latter and was pleasantly surprised when my two ladies drinks (plus my two beers)were included in the 2400 bill.

I barfined a cutie in February for 2150 P where I was told upfront that 650 goes to the bar and 1500 for the girl. One had the audacity to say that the barfine was 2500 P and all that went to the bar. Another told me the all-in price was 2500 shortime and 4000 all-night. One thing I concur with is that it's hard to know how some of these posts from guys actually relate to reality. In 99% of the cases we don't know if they are 25 yr old Brad Pitt look a likes or 60ish Dick Cheny types.

BG;s is the name of the BAr. When you are facing the building Viking is on the left and BG's on the right. They are as close as an apartment door.
Not sure of the Mamasans name. I do know she is a fine piece of work IMHO.

I am home now. I was in Cebu Again for about 10 days this Trip. Last time was in February of this year. I have been coming to Cebu regularly since April 1992.
Exotica is NOT a new Club. I posted on this place in November 2003. I have been going here since 1998, shortly after Bill purchased it. Bill sold it last June 2005. I last visited Exotica in August 2005. Had only six girls in the Club. Two had really shitty attitudes and though only 19, the one had more mileage on her than an overdriven '86 Chevy.
I tried Love City once and did not like it. Lousy Place with few girls. Dimples and Papillons are both overpriced. I took girls out of both and was never very pleased. I tried BlackHole last August '05 and was not impressed enough to return.
I liked the Firehouse and visited there a few times last year. I visited Viking with two other guys a few years ago and found it to be a ripoff. The Manager was married to some drunk Norwegian who died from alcoholism a few years ago. I have not been to BG's but would assume the same Manager (mamasan) is the one the guys refer to here. Not at all surprised that guys got cheated by her. She impresed me as that kind of tramp when I met her back then.
I like the Firehouse but I have never taken a girl from here. They always impressed me as being the "fuck and run" sort. Still I enjoy stopping by and the Italian Restaurant next door is very good.
My favorite has always been Silver Dollar. They have the largest quantity of girls as I posted here last week (50 -60 when I dropped by). I would be very careful about barfinng at the Firehouse. A few trips ago my nephew and his friend both barfined from there and the experience was sub-par. After poor service, the girls insisted on having breakfast. I came buy and had a cup of coffee with them all, both girls had terrible attitudes.

I am home now. I was in Cebu Again for about 10 days this Trip. Last time was in February of this year. I have been coming to Cebu regularly since April 1992.
Exotica is NOT a new Club. I posted on this place in November 2003. I have been going here since 1998, shortly after Bill purchased it. Bill sold it last June 2005. I finally returned to the Philippines, exactly 7 years after my first trip. I had saved a small fortune and wanted to have a two week adventure here in Cebu. I got a room at the Montebello. After seeing how much Manila had generally improved over the past 5 years with street lighting, trash, etc., seeing Cebu City pretty much the same on those and other counts was something of a letdown. Seems there's more traffic citywide and a few new things in the reclaimation area, but I didn't get the sense of a real boom there. Still, it's a magnet for job-seekers from all over the region.
I stayed at the Cebu Midtown Hotel, which I got at P1,500 net a night by mentioning the Cebu Pacific special (announced on the flight down there). I had to show a boarding pass for the rate, but otherwise no problem. The hotel seems to be aging and fading, but the location (above Robinson's at the Fuente) is still one of the better ones, and I didn't get hassled about girls.
There's a cluster of go-gos down Maxilom Ave. east of the Fuente Osmena circle between the Fuente and Gorordo Ave. Most, like Black Hole and Papillon, are bikini bars with no nudity and looks in the 6-9 range. A few, like Love City in the cluster and Thunderdome on F Ramos, are "KTV discos" with some showing. Customer drinks are pretty reasonable (P35 happy hour-P120) in the meat markets and usually a bit more expensive (100-150) in places that show. Lady drinks are P100-250, depending on the place.
Barfines are surprisingly all over the map, with Black Hole (600+ girl wants 1,500-2,000, they say) not terrible but Papillon (2,000 + 2,000-3,000 LT for girl) looking a lot like Makati. Thunderdome also wanted P4,000 inclusive...seemed steep. Club Exotica on Maxilom was one of the cheapest at P700 + 1,000, but it wanted the whole amount upfront, a little detail I didn't find out until the last minute. If you've been to Angeles you know that sometimes you get lackluster performances and some of the most amazing excuses why the girl has to leave right away even though it's 2 a.m., so it's up to you if you want the risk of paying upfront. Barfines in Cebu are usually separate from what the girl gets. They're more expensive than Angeles but should NOT be Manila-level, though there always seem to be bars trying to get that.
Another pick-up place was the Sunflower Disco in Lahug. It's spacious, well-designed (like a small-airplane hangar) and popular, if noisy. A number of proifessionals will be there and easy to spot, but it's not the easiest place to work if you're just looking for a regular girl, as you've got the noise and a seating arrangement that's hard to roam. Seemed like a real wingman situation.
On the street the costs are low (P500 STs easy to bargain), but it can be a pain. Don't walk along Maxilom between the go-gos and the Fuente at night (take a taxi!) lest ye be followed by 5-6 very vocal street pros all offering "massage" or company. As in many sections of the city, the street lighting is bad.
There are also alleys around San Carlos University, such as off the south side of Del Rosario east of Osmena Blvd., where you might see lots of girls standing around and be greeted immediately by male touts wanting to show you the selection. It can be a bit intimidating because it's so dark and doesn't seem safe. Some people just come in by taxi and have the girls come up to the windows, but to see the most selection you usually have to get out. Costs are usually P600 ST to P1,000 LT after bargaining, paid upfront. You have to negotiate any specialties or long-time; assume nothing. Some of the girls are real fresh-faced hotties, but they display widely varying degrees of enthusiasm. You want to do some interviewing and try to cut the chances of getting an unenthusiatic one. Best to lowball the cost for ST and get the digits or set up a repeat if it works.
What Cebu really needs is its own answer to L.A. Cafe. But many of the guys who come to Cebu are looking for LTRs, and that's w hole 'nother game. Angeles is cheaper and much more purpose-built for mongering.

What nearly everyone is going for in the tout-handled street areas and cul-de-sacs is someone of college age who's not a hardened pro. You'll hear stories of how ___ is only trying to earn tuition money, or is an office worker who only shows up once a week and wants to earn extra money, etc. One problem, besides accuracy sometimes, is that those that might fit that description are also the ones who might be reluctant to go with you. They're usually not dangerous, but they give only the bare minimum on performance and without enthusiasm. That's why I think you should take a little time on talking to them to try to separate the reluctant ones from the ones who are just a little shy.
OTOH, the hardened pros, like some walking Maxilom or a few working the Sunflower, are the ones to watch out for with things going missing from the room or funny-tasting drinks.
Would also agree about the Silver Dollar; it's popular and has a pretty good happy hour and enough regulars seemingly to ensure it goes on forever, but is more like a hostess bar than a pick-up go-go.

The values these people have are totally different from our western values. I confine my activities in Cebu to Silver Dollar, Wild Orchid Massage and Crossroads in the evening. Safer, cleaner and much better quality pussy.

I can say for definate that Exotica does have VIP rooms. Or at least it did last January. You can go VIP with a girl of your choice for 1500. The choice was limited but there were a few crackers.

In many ways I agree with your perspective.
As an overall statement, I have learned from this board and my own experience many times its just hit or miss.
I did mention both Papilion & Dimples as not only being tourist traps, but also having downright unfriendly management.
Silver Dollar - I have to say in all my trips to Cebu (since 1993) the best tag-team I ever experieced came from there (Circa 2003). One gal was as tall as me (5' 9") and built like a brick shithouse. The other was short with enourmous tits. For years after that session on my trips to Cebu I tried to track them down, but no luck.
There are times when I go to the Silver Dollar, have a beer, look at the line up, and just move on. All things being equal (manners, attitude, hygene) its like fishing, sometimes your lucky, sometimes its just an average catch.
I've been here (again) for over a month. My opions change more! I am now realizing how much there is a "flavor of the month" to the bars. Girls are constantly leaving to move around. new girls come all the time.

I saw them at the large round seating area at the entrance of the Casino in the 2nd. floor, they may also be in the lobby wandering around, I noticed some of them also inside the casino waiting for winners to approach them, it may be a hit and miss to find these girls, since there are really not a lot of them hanging out, goodluck!

Went in Dimples about a year ago, early evening around 7pm. Ordered a beer and tipped the bartender 20p, then talked to a lady and bought her a drink. As an aside, I always conduct myself as a gentleman. Civility and manners goes along way with me.
Since I had just come from changing money I only had 1000p notes. When I went to pay the bartender asked me if I had anything smaller. I explained - ever so politely - why I did not. The bartender then proceeded to give me as many coins (as change) as possible. The bartender, a waitress, and the girl I bought a drink for, started laughing out loud as I tried to scoop up the money and leave.
Consequently, I would encourage anyone not to patronize either place.

How long will you be in Cebu? If it is for a short period of time I would suggest the Raja or Midtown. Both are centrally located on Osmena Circle. The Midtown is over Robinson's Mall.
If you fly on Cebu Air you can get a great rate at the Cebu Midtown. I paid about 1400p for a standard last December. It is a little "worn," but I found it clean and a good deal if you fly Cebu Pacific.
The Rajah is the old "Garwood." It has been completly renovated and has a big "Casino Filipina" sign on it. The rooms are a bit smaller (I paid 2400p for a standard in Jan 06), but again you are paying for location.
From either you can walk to the Silver Dollor & Firehouse. I have no problem walking down Mango Ave to the rest of the "usual" bars (Exotica, Black Hole, etc.).

If you want a cheap hotel try looking at Northwinds, usually around P1200 not bad rooms either. The advantage is you are close to Sunflower disco (a great pickup place) and Ayala mall (also a great place for freelancers). Also you can walk up the block to JY square for breakfast in the French bread restraunt, a McD's etc.
I also suggest the Richmond hotel, once again Very cheap, good location, I stayed there several times and one could walk to the lone star bar, and the area of the Black hole, silver dollar etc. Price was around P1200 a night. VERY girl friendly and you can walk to Ayala. I dont know if you care about this but there is a GREAT gym two blocks from the Richmond in the Mango square business park.
You might also try Eddies, a little higher, maybe P1400, have heard some bad things about it but I personally never had a bad experience there.
Here are a few other hotels you can check out if the others are booked up.
Mango Square, Castle peak. All are in the P1200 to P1500 range.
If you want a little more upscale check into Montebello, its near Country Mall and IMHO a bit out of the way, however a great pool.

Across from the mall and a bit north is a expat bar called Badger. Many taxi drivers don't know this place, but it's on the opposite side of the mall and just a bit further up the road. If things are still the same, they have flag motifs in the window and occupy the first and second floor. You should be able to see the place from the road even if your taxi driver is clueless....as mine was.
On weekdays the 2nd floor is empty (WAS empty) and I enjoyed a nice quiet* date there on two different occasions. *On the second occasion a salsa group started their dance practice/ lesson about 8 or 9 pm, but it was actually entertaining rather than disruptive.

I visited the Casino 3 times in January and found girls on th ebenches there. Looking very bored and waiting to be approached, they were obviously working girls and probably cheap but I did not enquire.
I found the girls at Exotica, Dimples and Papillon to be really nice. One or two pushy ones but on the whole they were nice ladies just there to make a buck. I agree with you on Sinners and Saints, lot of Filipinos, also some spotty service I was there with the Mrs and I noticed a LOTof upscale gals (some giving me the eye too) as I was the only foreigner but overall a nice atmospere, who knows maybe if we tout it a bit here it might develop into a "good place". SAints, is close to country Mall, dont know the street but I think the Barangay is Banilad, main road anyhow.
Also check out a place in lapu Lapu city (I think) called The Cadillac, nice place, it is run by an expat, guy treats you like royalty. Nice dance floor, liv e band and resturaunt serving good food, also lots of ladies "unattached"possibly looking for one of the expats who frequent the place. rememebr I can't (don;t) monger as I go there with my wife. So its up to you guys to carry the torch.

Cebu City and a tale of did-he, he did.
I just spent a weekend in Cebu City and would like to thank this board and you guys for the information. I was hoping to meet up with Dragon Slayer, but he was not visiting at the same time.
Exchange rate was a little over 52 pesos for a US dollar. Rajah Park Hotel, located on Fuente Osmena, a traffic circle, has a special room rate of 888 pesos plus government tax, which came out to under $20 for one person. Add 600 pesos plus tax for a second person in the room with breakfast. A manager at Cebu Midtown Hotel said that a Cebu Pacific Air (CPA to the accounting types) boarding pass shown at check -in could get a deluxe room for under 2,000 pesos, which was about $38. The Rajah room was called a studio and was clean and newish with a tile floor and a queen-sized bed, which had a snug but not closed-in feel without a window.
Food was cheap too. Food court in the basement of the same building as the Midtown Hotel had about a dozen stalls with a place of white rice and a meat dish starting about 65 pesos (about $1.25). An eat-all-you-can (not all-you-can-eat) buffet restaurant called Joven located three blocks from the circle on Osmena across from the hospital offered lunch for 135 pesos (about $2.60). There I stuffed myself on roast pork, sausage on a stick, roasted chicken, dim sum, fish, mixed vegetable, noodles, white rice, soup, pickled sea weed, sliced fruits, pastries, etc and drank fountain soda. On the street during the day there were food stalls. The best was Chicken Butterfly, that had golden-brown fried breaded chicken parts, at various prices from 7 pesos (about 15 cents) for neck to 30 pesos (about 60 cents) for breast.
Good clubs were Sisters, which was next to the Black Hole on Mango Street, and Temptation, which was about 50 meters down the street after you take a right at the gasoline station on the corner. Easy walking between the two clubs. A beer at Sisters cost 60 pesos (about $1.20) and at Temptation cost 50 pesos (about $1). My favorite place was the Cobra Bar, a second-floor club with a pool table on the first floor, located on Frutoso Ramos about a block pass the Holiday Plaza away from the Midtown. On the glass entrance door of Cobra was a poster for Rev's Driving School, a name more suited for race driving. Imagine a slogan for this place like drink, drive, and shoot pool. A beer cost 60 pesos (about $1.20) which included the price of the entertainment. It was a small place, but audience participation was allowed since a 300-pound German guy in liderhosen with a whale belly got up and showed off his dance moves in competition with a female performer, who looked almost like a dwarf dancing next to the G-man. Other optional costs related to a companion generally ranged around 700 pesos for the club and 1,000 to 1,500 pesos for extras.
In a club, I met Juanita who was 20 year old, single, and had been working there for a year. She was medium size with a firm build, luscious tatas and lavish booty, and a Spanish cast to her Polynesian looks and long eyelashes. Dream of long-haired island girl in grass skirt with castanets in hands. Having visited Buenos Aires (by the way, attended one of Jackson's thanksgiving dinners), I am partial to the Latin look and found the Latin-flavored Cebu girls to be attractive in a darkish flavor. Being a 50-plus pudgy, below-average looking guy on a budget, I felt especially fortunate to be the attention of a young girl in spite of the competition of all the other guys, most were lean studs in their 30s from Australia and Europe and their bulging pockets with enough money to buy lots of lady drinks (around 150 pesos or $3). Truth be said, I had not been with a girl for a long time and had some misgivings on whether I could perform or not. Guys tell that it is like riding a bicycle, in that you never forget and your body will remember how.
As I gazed into Juanita's beautiful dark eyes and we embraced in my hotel room, I had this feeling that she was the right one for me. This feeling was tripled when her soft lips and mouth tenderly massaged my bare fob of throb. Looking back, I recognized my feeling was tainted with long-term abstinence. Without thinking after donning protection, I grasped her upper arms like bike handles and positioned myself missionary-wise. Then a moment of panic hit me. How could I pedal if I was on both my knees? I was ready to launch, but did not know where to go. It was like reving up a car engine, but it would not kick start into action. The trick to riding a bicycle was for me to be the bicycle and let her do the riding.
Luckily, I found her hot spot. It was a vampiric kiss to the side of her neck. All I can say about my kiss is that eating Chicken Butterfly neck was good practice for doing it. As she approached her pinnacle, I felt a moment of pride. She said that I could return to the club for her tomorrow for seconds.
Wondering if we would ever meet again, I reached for my camera and took her photo. She told me to not show her photo to my friends. I said that would make you my secret girl friend. She asked increduously with disbelief you want a girl friend who works in a club? I had not seriously consider having her as a girl friend meaning a serious relationship, but at the same time I was seriously subconsciously hoping for her to become my girl friend meaning a regular companion for at least the time I was there and maybe then some. The best I could respond at that moment was to say was my girl friend would no longer be a companion to other guys at least in a biological sense. When I said this, I started to stutter and mumble and silently called myself a blithering idiot.
The next day, I pondered what was said, what could be done, and future possibilities. I walked around Cebu trying to clear my head and encountered a building under construction, the Crown Plaza Hotel. A sign sign said something about a model available for viewing, so I walked up the driveway which led to a second building in back of the first building. There was a sales office for Club Ultima which offered membership for a sports club, restaurant, and second hotel and with club membership the possibility to buy a condo in a third building starting about $50,000 for a basic unit of 50 square meters without flooring or fixtures. No details were given on its web site of the same name, because it was in the pre-selling (the sales lady pronounced it pray-sa-lyn) phase with prices to increase next week and almost two-thirds of the 300 condo units already sold with construction to be completed in three years. I wondered if I were to buy a condo, would it impress Juanita? Would she wait three years or longer for installation of the flooring, fixtures, and interior design for furniture and decorations? Was learning how to ride a bicycle again worth these mental ups and downs?
I guess I better close this note. I hope it provides some new information for dudes interested in this city and maybe a facet of personal experiences.

After spending about 12 of the past 24 months here i am behaving in a way I never imaginged. Charlie Shean was asked (this is the young Shean, the guy who was in Platoon) why he would pay for sex when so many girls would love to be with him for free. His responce was something to the effect of....because when it's all over I say a friendly good bye or do what I like.... The idea of the CONVENIENCE of going with a girl from a bar is just a luxury I can't seem to pass up. My time is limited. I have to be discreet. I should stick with having a girl friend or two when I'm here. But being 100% in control because I'm paying means I don't have to have commitiments a relationiship would require. For those commitments, I have a real someone in the US.

last thought. If you don't want to waste a non pros time and your's, think about every little clue you can to find out if the OPTION is even open for her to sleep with you after a couple (or one) date. How "religeous" is she? Ask her in a very tactful what she thinks about another girl that would sleep with a guy after a couple dates. I've spent a few too many times with 9s that show with their eyes and bodies that they want to jump my bones only to later discover they CAN'T because of "what's right" to them or because they are determined to be virgins when they marry. Here's a tip which does need some verification from someone else on here. Also IMHO women in the Phils are more into conservatism and respectibility more so than Catholicism, the girls dont want a "reputation" being seen consorting with foreigners, and they want a husband who will support them and help them take care of their families, even the freelancers. Avoid Thai's at all costs for wife material, my opinion only after living in that country for eight months. Great for sex but closer in philiosophy and logic to Chinese you seem to be disillusioned with. Cebu is a great place to meet women and it has an international airport. I beleive Cathay has some good airfares from HK and Shanghai (if I remember) directly here avoiding Manila (A good idea). A few nice tourist destinations close by like Bohol and Bantayan Island.
I think Filipina heart is still the rage, I hear bad things about cherry blossoms, lots of lady boys posing as stunners, etc. Good idea to chat a few of the ladies up and coordinate for your upcoming trip. I would also get a Phils sim pack for your cell phone if you can, having a mobile with a Phils number is a great mongering aide.

I stayed at the Waterfront in Lahug in April. It is a very good hotel with very good restaurants. When I was checking in and registering at the front desk the woman there asked if I was alone, I said I wasn't sure yet. She laughed and put down two people. She did that for the included morning breakfasts. I think it was the same rate either way. I brought back two girls on seperate nights. The first girl and I walked in no one stopped us. I think security just missed us. The second girl had to register at the front desk. Neither of the bargirls had been there before and both seemed impressed. It is a five star hotel. Better then the five star Heritage Hotel I stayed at in Manila.
Just bring your own bottled water. The hotel only stocked small bottles of Evian and when looking at my bill later saw they were around 4 usd each.
I arrived here on Friday night, dropped the bags and headed out.
I was at the Midtown Hotel the first night, then moved over to the Marriott the next afternoon. Both are guest friendly. Midtown is falling apart and really needs maintenance bad. I only stayed there one night because Marriott was full.
So first I went to Silver Dollar. I always have a blast here and this night was no exception. This was even though, JM, my usualy squeeze and tormentor here, was out for the night. But there were several other demented babes to take her place. I don't know why this place is always so darn much fun even though I never barfine here. After about an hour of pretend humping on the barstool with one girl I headed out to Mango Avenue.
First I went to Sisters Bar. I had intended to bar hop but I got no further than this bar. Stand in I also reported this place was good and I have to agree. Even though it was a busy Friday night and lots of girls were taken there were still several other hot bodied lookers available. I was told this place has only been open a couple of months. After buying a few lady drinks (170 each I think?) I finally decided to go home with Daphne. She's about 4-11, 85 pounds, silky long hair....mmmm I may have to go back for her again. My two cents rates Cebu waterfront as the best for a few reasons, first it is centrally located, close to everything, second there is a lot to do there, impress the hell out of your lady, take her into casino Filipino and give her P500 pesos to play slots with, big deal, she'll love it! Also they have some very good food there buffets etc, bread. I've been to Shangri la on Mactuan and it is nice. great buffet nice ammenities but this was my honeymoon, I consider it a bit out of the way IMHO for any type of mongering. Security is tight at Waterfront, however, there are VERY girl friendly. You can always take her to the Casino,(2 nd floor) then sneak her over to the elevators if anybody gives you a problem.
If you are looking for something to do why not check out either Bohol which is two hours by jet boat (GREAT diving snokeling whale watching etc). Or if your feeling a bit adventurous try getting on the bus to Bantayan island or Malapasqua. Was at Malapasqua not long ago, reminds me of Boracay 6 years ago. Once again great snorkel, scuba and you can go feed sharks (seriously) Not much in the way of mongering best to bring your own, im sure some Cebu lady would be eager to show you the way out there. I know you aren't concerned with price but the hotels there are cheap (everything is) find out wher ethe diver are staying, lots of interesting types in the evening at the watering holes.
REBOUND, as a former Bangkok monger now reformed I must say the the Phils, particularly cebu has Nothing to equal the insanity of the live shows ala patpong. Best you can get here is some strip acts, dancing etc. But no pussy firing darts or that sort of thing. They advertise some KTV's on the Cebu cable channel which feature "shows" (read strip acts) or maybe some gal who strips and rubs lotion on herself but thats about it.

wander, your post was quite good, thailand is "the place" for finding your own goddess, however, these girls are more mercinary imho than the average filipina.
i don't really know enough about thai girls althogh i've been there quite a bit. i think my experience was just a matter of the fact that you can only compare "this ethnic/cultural group to that" to a certain degree. some women in the countries men hate most, are opposite to their peers.

very well put. it's true a lot of the girls will "put out" easily, but wow it is so catholic here. it's amazing when you read the profiles on filipina heart. so many of them are into "fear god", an idea i hate.

hotels......don't stay on mactan if you want to meet girls there. waterfront cebu is best if you can afford or can get a good deal. there's not a heck of a lot to do in cebu if you're on vaca. however, if you find your honey (from bar, internet, etc.) there are plenty of fun places to hang out. not a lot to do if you're just with friends from home or on your own. it's having that super hottie with you that makes the difference if you're hanging out in the city during the day.
i would say find that girl in cebu, then once you've spent some time (even just a couple days) and you like her enough, invite her to go with you to one of the places mentioned below...a beach destination. you might even mention as you meet that you are hoping to go to xyz island next week when if you think they have potencial as your guest.
oh, and about "guest" policies in cebu? forget it. i've stayed at maybe 10 hotels here for 1 of the past 2 years. i have never had a problem of any sort nor has the girl that was with me.
A nice little bit of Filipiniana occurred last night. The girl that I've been seeing here suggested we have dinner with her parents. I thought that sounded fine. So we waited at Ayala Mall to take them to Majestic Chinese restaurant. Of course they were an hour late, which is expected. But the main thing that happened, which didn't really surprise me either but amused me nonetheless, is that the parents showed up with pretty much the entire household in tow. 3 siblings of my girl were there, all of whom are unemployed and seem to have no talents other than making babies that they can't support. 3 of said children were also along for the ride. So that made a total of 8 adults and 3 kids, all on the tab of yours truly. Did anyone ever ask me if this was ok, clear it in advance or anything like that. Of course not. There was only the slightest bit of sheepishness when the bill was presented, but that soon passed. I can laugh about it because it was only 1600 pesos, about $30. But it was a real refresher course on the mentality here. I've been out with girls in many countries and this ONLY happens here.
I think part of the reason for this was that the father knows that I'm mounting his daughter daily and nightly, so he decided to get some financial mileage out of it.
In other news:
About the hotels mentioned, I've stayed several times at most of them.
Midtown: Has an expat 'bargain' of $50 including breakfast. Breakfast is just adequate. Rooms are rundown and need renovation. In fact the whole place could stand to be blown up and redone, if they could manage to do it without falling down on the mall down below. The pool is laughably small. Last I checked the gym had old equipment but was slowly improving. I forgot to look at it a couple of days ago.
Marriott: This is my first choice usually. Lately it's been about 75-85 breakfast included. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are pretty good with nice views. The pool is mediocre as someone mentioned. The gym here is pretty good. Great location next to Ayala Mall and it's nighttime entertainment center including Ratsky's. Also there's a Cafe Havana here. It's a short taxi ride to most other things a monger wants.
Waterfront Lahug: Usually it costs a few dollars more than Marriott. I last stayed here in August last year and it was showing signs of neglect in the room. Stuff was missing. Cigarette burns in towels and bedding, stuff like that. Breakfast is very good. The gym is good also but they charge for its use even for guests, something like 200-300. The best thing here is the pool, lots of volume and lots of deck space. The majestic lobby and casino are there also but these never interested me much. It's walking distance to Sunflower disco. Across from the entrance is a complex of mostly open air restaurants and bars that's a good place to look for freelancers. Freelancers also hang out at Waterfront but they move around a lot, probably harrassed occasionally by security. Last time I was there they were hissing at me from the balcony just above the elevators. I wasn't tempted.
Never at any of these three places have I ever had guest issues or even once had a girl asked for an ID or questioned in any way whatsoever.
Finally, there's a new luxury hotel apartment kind of place going up near Midtown. The entrance is practically next door to the Silver Dollar club, whose owner must be positively rubbing his hands in gleeful anticipation. The building is called Club Ultima. The actual hotel there is a Crown Regency. It seems to have soft opened but I haven't found out about rates or anything yet. I could see the gym from my room at Midtown on Friday night and it looks pretty flash. This could become a new favored monger base
Makhu: Your description of dinner reminds me of my wedding reception; my ex-wife had "relatives" show up that she did not even know she had. When folks hear that a foreigner is paying, EVERYBODY wants to join the party. We had several hundred! The good news it still only ran a couple grand total.
Spamhog: met several nice ones on Cherryblossoms who do not seem like baklas. I had not heard that baklas posing as babae was common. Reminder to self: INSIST on seeing webcam BEFORE going agreeing to a meeting LOL!
Re the "god fearing" thing, I swear 50% of them have "god fearing" or "god centered' in their profiles. This usually results in them being striken from my list of possibles (as does residence anywhere near Manila or Angeles-the clever ones write Dau or Mabalacat or San Fernando or something and I have yet to find one that actually fesses up to living in Balibago!).

After having dinner with Cebu Local, I decided to check around Lapu Lapu. It's been quite a few years since I've looked around here. I've could have called CL for advice, but I decided to fly by the seat of my pants, with predictable results. After about an hour of fruitless wandering I headed back to town and Silver Dollar.
I shot a few games of pool with JM, always good for a laugh. Then as I was lining up for a shot I had one of those 'hold everything' moments. I saw this girl, about 4 ft. 10 (148cm) and easily 36 up front with not much fat anywhere. This girl would probably be about the same height horizontal or vertical. Face is average but who cares?

When I visited Club Ultima a month ago (see my trip report if interested in my experiences), it was the building behind Crown Regency. The Club Ultima building was completed with some interior work to be done and a Chinese restaurant already opened and operating on about the 20th floor. The club building contained its own hotel, which was supposed to be separate from Crown Regency. The latter was the building fronting the street and was still under construction. If a hotel is opened, then it would be the club's. But, all three buildings (the third is to be started and will be the mall-offices-condo building) are supposedly owned by the same Cebu family.
I was trying to figure out the financial setup of club plus hotel plus condo and one reason might be that the Philippines law restricts property ownership by non-citizens to 60 percent. Yet the condo saleslady told me that about 65 percent of the condo units had already been sold to foreigners, although many were Filipinos living and working in US.
I would recommend you check out the Marco Polo Cebu. It's just opened after a total rennovation. I haven't stayed, but would guess that it would surpass the Waterfront now in terms of quality.
So where is the marcopolo. is it the building beside the sm mall. there is also a parklane hoyel being built somewhere.
Just had a fantastic week in Cebu. The first four nights were spent at Arenas with the son of a guy I'm doing business with in Cebu. He and I are both in our early thirties and Jordan (the midget) and Joe (the singer) partied along side together at the club. On the fourth night, I met a stunning part-timer to Arenas. She only works 2 nights a month to pay tuition. She was hands down the best looking girl there (a 9.5 by my filipino business associate's son standards.)
Since it was Saturday night, she agree to come along for our scuba dive the next day. My business associate has a lovely house on an island and a boat to get us there. Pal be patient. You have until December and the hotels are slow that time of year in Cebu. This is from a guy who has been in Cebu 12 of the last 14 years during the month of December and usually around New Year's. Unlike Thailand with the ton of European guys descending there at that time, Cebu is not crowded.

i stayed in cebu last weekend. can't report on the club action as i did nothing but girls i met on the internet who were from there. if you are into paying them to leave, this may not be your thing, the girls can get a bit clingy. especially if they fall in love with you. but it is dang easy to find internet girls who will put out and give you a gfe experience while you're at it. i did take one girl to sunshine disco last night, that's not a bad place to take someone you've already picked up elsewhere. the light show is a bit much, but you can dance there.
other more touristy items of note:
stayed at the crown regency residency suites. if i rtff correctly, this was the former metropole. it is seemingly way out there in the guadalupe area, but osmena circle is a 50pp taxi ride away so not too bad. well there's a bit of construction work here, evidently they seem to be trying to make a convention center out of this place. i got a rather large room, but the amenities were not all that. the list price for the room was $60/usd which is about what i paid (3200pp/night). i think this room was definitely not worth that price. though they did include the airport transfer round trip and breakfast.
last add crown regency: no internet in the room, have to go to the business center during daytime hours. lousy pricing there. good alternative if you have your own laptop is to go up the street to j-tech internet cafe. looks rundown as heck, but the guy was happy to provide a place with an ethernet cable and a power outlet, and the connection speed was acceptable. if you just need a terminal and are not particular, then brownstone is ok and closer. it's in the same building as the local supermarket.
i was going to take one honey to malapascua, but there was a typhoon off china that was causing sufficiently choppy seas that she didn't want to experience. so we stayed near the white beach resort which is near moalboal. it was ok, but would have been much better if i was into diving which is what this area is set up for. turned out the weather was much better on sunday, the sun actually came out and stayed out for a long time. a rarity at this time of year, i'm told.

Pal be patient. You have until December and the hotels are slow that time of year in Cebu. This is from a guy who has been in Cebu 12 of the last 14 years during the month of December and usually around New Year's. Unlike Thailand with the ton of European guys descending there at that time, Cebu is not crowded.
I arrive in Cebu in a few days. I intend to check out the Marco Polo and Waterfront near Ayala Mall as alternative places to stay. I have too much pussy in Cebu to stay at only one Hotel anymore. Hi Eddie I have to disagree I had dinner with a department of Tourism director last night and Chinese tourists to PI have gone up 50% compared to last year.The casino hotels already have large bookings for Chinese groups.We charge higher during Chinese year,Hong Kong people tend to fill up Shangrila and Plantation Bay.He has to book early.Mactan Waterfront and Days Hotel is not too far from action.This is the area around the airport,But the beach resorts are at least 30 minutes from anything.Hope this helps Cheers
Fest Eddie, When I was in Boracay in June (the off season) I saw plane loads of Chinese (Taiwan) and Korean tourists. The general concenious I hads was that Boracay and the Philippines in General was being heavily promoted in those countries as a cheap tourist destination particularly csince it was "off season".
As far as Cebu goes there is a distinctive Chinese Flavor here with a heavy Chinese Filipino Community that tends to promote Chinese Holidays (Chinese new year corresponds closely with SINULOG festival in late January if I remeber correctly.)
I have seen LOTS of chinese tourists lately, if one goes to Casino Filipino you will notice that many of the game tables (Mah Jong & Fan Tan) cater to them (and Koreans) while only one blackjack table exists.
Northwinds is quite cheap, I have gotten rooms there for P1000 problem is the place is usually fully booked wekends as it is popular with Filipino's during the wedding season (Now).
Look into the Richmond and Castle peak for decent rooms centrally located in the P1200 to P1400 range.
Off topic by the way but there may be something to this cross toruism promotional as Cebu Air is now offering special introductory low fares (P1999) one way out of Cebu to HK or Some other pioluar cites in Mainland China through October flying direct out of Cebu international.

So now my report:
1. Here is also a smal open air restaurant named DIONES owner Cowie a good guy with high prices can chillout with musik and their place is ok.
2. There is also a small resto named HEIDELBERG but i think its not very known.
3. A place where you should never go is CADILLAC-CAFE beside the DOc Hospital. I am so pist off from that place: their cheatet me with my bills and i heard thats often! the rooms are over priced! and if you like durty and sick girls go there but ennyway the hospital is beside! you cannot even eat his fucking ribs there shit! taste shit the owner is shit! His buissnes is webside maker and he is a liar and pretender he used to call his own name JOE but its not. His name is NIEL adappting GIRLS and sell it to foreigners but he is pist off if they marry a Philippino.
I dont want to start a fight with the fellow who posted negatively about the Cadillac cafe but if he did have a bad experience in that establishment then something must have gone awray from the three times I visited the places last being about a month ago.
I have previously recommended that place in several posts for the brethern looking for places other than the regular night club/pick up spots in Cebu.
Can't remember the name of the American owner, guy looks like a Biker/willie nelson and is an honest to good god good ol boy from Alabama who makes you feel welcome and IMHOP has done a great job of creating atmospehere of the vanishing american "road house" type of joint.
I was there with Mrs Spamhog of course and we danced a bit to the live band (Filipino) that was pretty decent. I noticed LOTs of single un attached ladies but mostly the place catered to x pats and foreigner/filipina couples. I got the impression that some of the girls weren't "working" for the establishment,but probably freelancers or regular local girls who didn;t want to trek into Cebu.
I saw a few filipiono couples and a few unattached filipinos males who looked liked businessmen types or maybe even local big shots. Crowd was very decent, played pool upstairs, ate a pizza that was pretty good but I must confess I didn;t have the ribs.
The only problem I saw with the place is it is located in lapu-Lapu city which is a bit far. But I would suggets that any one staying in Manduea city/Mactuan check it out if you get tired of the sunflower/ratskys and black hole circuit in Cebu proper.

I've never spent much time on Mactan, and there hasn't been much written about places to go there. Can anyone give us a summary?
I've been to a place called Mermaid. They had some really hot ladies, but the bar fine was rather expensive. This place is located on the road that runs perpendicular to the two bridge roads. There were some other places on this road, but never made it inside.
Someone mentioned Cadillac Cafe -- a place I'd never heard of until now.

I can see from their web site that they rent motor bikes. I've rented scooters in Pattaya and Koh Samui, but never in the Philippines. I wouldn't want to try to ride around urban areas, but exploring Mactan might be interesting.
I know bikes can also be rented at Panglao Bohol. Has anybody done this?

Well I know a perfect place for renting a motorbike. I had one this year in MBS TAVERN in mactan 200cc 700p/Day (24h) I always rent their bikes! Try it! They have german reaturant with special foods and nice apartments for 850/Day ok take care.

Spent four days in Cebu. Stayed at the Raja (formerly Park Place/Garwood). I stopped staying here a number of years ago because it fell into disrepair, however, the new owners have really cleaned the place up. The rate was 1700single/2000double. If you are going to bring a girl back get the double. They will ask the girl to register, but it is no problem. I was treated with the same courtesy or, that is to say, the staff still respected me in the morning. The rate also includes a buffet breakfast and a foot or back massage (no happy ending). A double room entitles you to breakfast for two, if they do not give it to you ask for it.
Did the Clubs on Mango Ave. The Black Hole has new owners, their appearance is somewhat scary if you fear soccer hooligans. They have brought some new energy to the place, but not much.
Exotica had a nice girl with rather large boobs, however, when I inquired about her I was told that “she did not want to bar-fine tonight.” Guess she is independently wealthy. There was a little more drink pressure than last time. When I did not see anything, other than big boobs, I liked the girls withdrew and pounced on the next customer who entered.
Dimples, Papillion, Love City are the same, tourist traps.
A new bar, Sisters (next to Black Hole), was interesting. It had some really nice women and it was very friendly. However, one night all other male customers were young Filipino guys. We all know where that can go when the alcohol takes affect. Noticed a distinct increase in Filipino male customers at the Black Hole also.
Went to the Silver Dollar which again, for atmosphere, was the best place in Cebu. The girls, albeit not all stunners, were friendly, and so was management. At 9 pm the owner came around to remind everyone to order because happy hour was ending. A real straight up place.
Decided to take a trip down memory lane so I went over to the St. Moritz. I walked in and saw four Filipino guys sitting at the bar. It was a shame because a very lovely lady wanted me to stay. Again, being the only Caucasian in a club late at night is not a good idea.
Before leaving I was told the St. Moritz now offers “short-time” rooms @ 650p for three hours.

I would advise against renting a car in Cebu. Taxis are everywhere and cheap so why have the hassle?
The fact is that I want to be independent and that I am not staying only in Cebu City. I have to travel to and from other villages. Taxis are mostly not willing to drive outside the city and if so, they ask for crazy amounts or deny the service.
So, I am still waiting for advice.

I spent Christmas in Manila and had a great time. I think a lot of working girls are expecting extra tips and gifts because of the holiday. Then I went to Cebu and had relatively few problems finding women. As Cebu L says, there may be fewer than usual.
While in Cebu, I inquired about bars being open New Year's eve. Some would be. This is where you want to be careful. There were few girls in the bars and most bars closed before midnight. Second warning is stay off the streets at midnight on New Yr eve. It's like a war zone. I watched the carnage from the top of Holiday PLaza (the roof was closed for the holiday so I could enjoy the fireworks while feeling up my date). The next day my date and I went to Bohol so I don't know what you could expect the first few days of the year. My guess is that it could be dead.
I would say try to have something steady lined up before New Year's Eve. You've already been to Cebu so I assume you have a few phone numbers.
As for myself, I've a late December "appointment" with a absoluty stunning young lady (22) who happened to work at a hotel I once stayed at. She's assured me her family will go to the province during the holiday which would enable her to spend a few days with me on Borocay or some other place.
I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm also a little wary. This girl is so bright and so hot that I may find my self getting tangled in HER web, rather than the other way around. Wish me luck!

Was in Cebu for almost 4 months working recently. Here are some random thoughts. Will add more later:
Middle/upper middle class girls: I really wanted to find a girl friend that made it through a decent college so that we had something in common. There are many bars here that I have never heard of. I would give a strong word of caution to any Newbie to Cebu to be wary of the Downtown Clubs, as well as many of the "Pinoy" bars. Personally, I avoid going to the Colon area - period! Just too much opportunity to have something stolen (as well the place is a cesspit).
Having said that...I am still curious to see what some of these little hole-in-the-wall clubs are like.

You're absolutely right about the search function. I had trouble findiing some of my old posts.
You didn't say when you are going, but it's not a bad idea to reserve a room for the first night. Especially if you expect to be jet lagged. Even after you recover, you might find that searching for another hotel isn't nearly as appealing or interesting as you might have thought.
My advice for a newbie to Cebu is to go to the Fuente Circle area because you can walk to just about anything and everything: restaurants, shops, department store, bars, net cafe, bookstore, etc.
If you stay near the airport you'll be on Mactan and there is less of everything I mentioned above.
I'd also suggest changing money at the airport before you leave. It may seem obvious, but I forgot once and then had to change money at the hotel (money changers were closed), which is usually not a good idea.

Actually the DaysHotel is not bad for recovering from jet lag,Its 2 minutes from the Airport and since it is the Hotel of The PAL,Cathay,MAS etc flight crew it has 24 hour room service and 24 /7 Pick up and drop off from the airport.Then you can hunt for hotels at your leisure calling from a local hotel.Cheers

Thought I might mention this one, I visited the place for the second time about two weeks ago, it is located near the Overworked SF at the rear of the Cebu Grand Majecstic hotel & convention center. Not well marked but taxis can get you there easily.
Potential for this place is good, few foreigners there, I was the only one on a late Thursday night, PLENTY of un attached ladies dancing in two's and three's, got the eye a few times but with Mrs Spamhog in attendance thats al I was gonna get. It may have been the fact that there was some sort of Pinoy convention in town but or the fact that ladies are admitted free Monday thru Friday (P100 on wekends) cover for guys every night of P 100. This is one reason why the SF has been slim lately, that and the fact that the largely Korean management tends to discourage the freelancers and caters more to their country men. Any how the drinkers were cheaper, P 50 for san Mig Vs P90 and most mixed drinks went for P100, they make a palatable singapore sling also.
Left the place at 1 am, the ever lovin' holding my arm TIGHT less one of the pickup girls in the parking lot or out on the street spirit me away to some den of depravaty. Got the impression these girls were hanging about coz of the convention, some were not too bad (I was SOBER). My general impression was guards kept them out of the parking lot.
Anyhow may be worht a shot???

The Pump is indeed located off Cardinal Reyes Avenue tooch, there is a huge parking lot which enhouses the Convention center & Cebu Majestic hotel, its pretty hard to miss even if drunk coz the lettering on the building is in bright red letters three feet tall, said nightclub is in the rear right ground floor.

I made it to the Pump just before I went to Iloilo. It's true that the Grand Majestic is easy to find. But the Pump itself doesn't stand out. I didn't see any signs for it. It's on the right side of the building with a few chairs and tables set up outside. Again I didn't see any sign with the name of the place. Inside, on a Thursday night I think it was, the ratio was roughly even, maybe even a few too many guys. There were a number of female-only groups though. To make contact it definitely helps to get out on the dance floor. I moved in on one group and they were very friendly and let me join them at their table later. They were a group of 3 but I wasn't able to get anyone to jump at my hints to join me in the Waterfront later. So no happy ending this time but I think there are possibilities here for the assertive and persistent. Another place in this class is Vudu in the Crossroads Shopping Center, which also tends to favor Hip Hop.
After I got back from Iloilo I checked into the Club Ultima, a new place just down Jones Avenue from Fuente Osmena. It's in a good location next to the Silver Dollar bar and and short ride to other places nearby. This is another Crown Regency franchise, making about 4 of them now in the Cebu area. I paid 4000 for the night I was there. It's still in the soft open phase, so the room rates figure to go up in the future. The place is just ok and adequate for now, not a rave review sort of situation. The room is nice enough and had acres of bed space. It was missing an in room safe and could do with a few more electrical outlets (not even one to plug in a lousy cell phone charger without undoing one of the lamps). The gym is nice enough and there are several pools and jacuzzis, though they all seem to be indoors. The main irritation here is a 100 peso charge to get a towel even if you're a guest. There will be several restaurants and a rooftop bar here, but for now only one place is open. Most importantly, the place is guest friendly. I gave it a good test with one fairly obvious bargirl and then later a respectable-looking innocent (until she gets me alone in the room and attacks me).
The bargirl I called in is Dafnie. I described her in a late July report when I barfined her from Sisters Bar. She's not working there anymore (part of that place's decline). Now she's just at home waiting for whatever. Whatever turned up one night last week in the form of Horny Mahku wanting an encore. She came over to Club Ultima. I met her outside and escorted her past approving security guards. She's got a small, tight, hot body and she loves to perform. I asked her if she wanted me to make her contact info available and she said ok. So members can PM me if they want to meet her.
I want to get around to posting pics of Dafnie and also Bianca. But doing so from my camera through internet cafe computers is proving a hassle. So please bear with me. A warning about Bianca: NEVER let her into the casino, especially if you're at Waterfront like I was. Counted sixteen females out on the crowded dance floor,dancing in small two's & three's.
Seven Korean girls, sitting with two Korean males, one of these babes made a small spectacle of herself later on when obviously drunk she began an attempt at a "sexy" dance and almost ended up crashing on her skinny ass, caught by a Filipino gallant and felt up royally before released to stagger some more, paused and sipped her beer and dangled a cigarette twixt her fingers.
ITEM: one lone foreigner sitting at the bar drew a lot of attention from passing ladies, guy was drunk or in a trance, never semed to notice. Other than my ugly Irish mug the only other white guy I saw.
Music really sucked, some DJ who thought he was an LA "Gangsta" playing hip hop songs difficult to dance to dampened the spirits a bit. I noticed most of the ladies were unaccompanied, got lots of looks from the women and a few smiles, would have made out like a bandit but my ever lovin growled down any competitors.

On my previous trips, I have stayed at the old Metrpolis Court (now renamed something else - name escapes me at the moment) in Guadaloupe. Nice clean hotel, kind of out of the way and quiet.
But since they changed the name, they have also raised the price. So, I am in search of a new place to call home when I am in town.
I am looking for something similar to the old Metropolis Court, and not too expensive. So far, I have found Golden Peak Hotel at 1800 php for Standard Room, and 2200 php for Deluxe room. Any other suggestion?
I don't need anything near the action as I have about 6 girls lined up from chatting online. I just need a clean hotel room, preferrably with bath tub and pool (but not an absolute requirement) and an inexpensive rate (preferrably under 1500 php.
Would appreciate any help out there.

I am looking for something similar to the old Metropolis Court, and not too expensive. So far, I have found Golden Peak Hotel at 1800 php for Standard Room, and 2200 php for Deluxe room. Any other suggestion?
I don't need anything near the action as I have about 6 girls lined up from chatting online. I just need a clean hotel room, preferrably with bath tub and pool (but not an absolute requirement) and an inexpensive rate (preferrably under 1500 php.
Would appreciate any help out there.

The following is a list of my favorites, most of these places are VERY cheap and cater to foreigners. If you have and "overnight guest" or two they are VERy accomidating: In no special order are:

Eddies, rooms go for P1400 plus, close to all the "attrachtions" Viking bar, black hole etc. Once again lite on amenities, decent resturaunt/western food and homey little bar.
Castle peak, P1200 a night or cheaper
Rock bottom cheap is northwinds hotel rooms for P1000(?) drawback is this place is usually loaded with filipinos on weekends and many wedding parties with noisy kids running the halls. Zero amenities but a short walk to JY square and the sunflower disco.
If you want something a little more upscale with a nice pool then check out
Montebello, near country mall (you can walk to it). This place has a great pool and garden area that is a romantic setting to take a Filipina. Probably get a room in the P2000 range.
You will see LOTs of foreigners in these places with their GF's, wives and bar finds, tip the guard & door man once in awhile if your going to have a lot of different girls visiting, they'll look out for you in case one or two show up asking questions while you are engaged within.
Taxi drivers know these places well and all are well within a five mile radius (appromately) of Ayala mall for your reference point.
PS I take it you are a diver??? Well you might want to check out Malapasqua which is a three hour bus ride away. Great (cheap) diving and Hotels.

i would advise if travelling to cebu early december (u didnt say when) to have a solid booking as the APEC circus will be in town and foreign ministers incl pm's and dignitries will be there and have booked all decent hotels.
personally i always stay at Kiwi lodge in tudtud st,molbolo for around 1100p per nite.
In the next 2-3 hours? Yea, that would be difficult...even in the Philippines. Women can smell desperation a mile away. I'd be much more likely to try some conversation and then get the digits. You can always call the next day.

I walked from Midtown to downtown one day and then explored downtown. When it got late I decided to catch a taxi back but quickly realized traffic was at a rush-hour standstill. So I walked back to Midtown. I was exhausted.
I lost a few kilos on that trip, which leads to my second mistake. I bought a few pairs of pants on my last day. After I got back to my usual weight, the pants were almost too tight to wear.

I stayed in Richmond for one night a couple of years back, I didn't quite like it that much - it was dark, small and had a damp smell to the room. After one night, I moved to Metropolis Court.
May be I just got a bad room that time.
Still looking for info on Golden Peak though.

A friend and I checked out Club Harem last night. We had to see the place because we heard that this mainly Philippino Club had the best looking girls in Cebu.
The experience was a major disappointment. First when the curtains of the fishbowl were opened. Although the girls didn't look bad, there wasn't anything there that you wouldn't find at any of the Mango Clubs. Some specifics: the girls are lined up on two sides of the fishbowl. Those that are available for barfine on the right and those that will just go to the VIP room with you on the left. I didn't ask about the barfine price because I wasn't interested (rumor has it at around 4000 Pesos). If you want a VIP room, then it is 1500 for the room and 368 Pesos per half hour for the girl
The bar area consists of many small tables and chairs surrounding a dance floor/runway. A dancer comes on stage individually and will strip off her bra. Pretty pedestrian.
The shocker was when we were presented our bill. They tried to pad it to 550 PESOS FOR 2 BEERS! 150 Pesos each for a "coverage charge" and 125 Pesos each for the beers. I told them quite frankly that I am not a stupid foreigner. I know this is all bullshit and more importantly - he knew it also. After a few minutes of bitchin and complaining, they reduced the bill to 250 Pesos. Still outrageous, but something I could live with.
So far, my experience at the Philippino clubs has been a bust. Does anyone have some good experience at the clubs off the Mango/Fuente strips?

first i read many usefull reports about the phil. but then decided to have my own experience i like to explore and not just follows the open ways i think everybody is different and could have different experience in the same place even with the same girl.

I will be travelling to Cebu this coming February and have not been to Cebu for several years, anyone know the names and locations of the expat bars? I know one is downtown and another is on the edge of the city. The first time I went I drank in the Kentucky bar, but it's long gone now.
Also seen a website selling condos in Cebu called Lancaster Suites on Mactan, anyone live in Cebu know if this would be a good investment?

Our Place on Pelaez St in D/T Cebu still exists. Hangout for "down on their luck" ex-pats and drunks. Wes Mills sold it six (6)times by last count. I stopped going in there six years ago. Got tires of the sleazy drunks and no women (what woman would go in there?) and the smoke filled air. Food is good though and beer (not much else sold here) is cheap. Best bet is to pass on it though.
Silver Dollar is open all day and serves beer and food that is "almost edible". Women come in in the afternoon and the gilrs begin dancing at 5:00Pm for the Happy Hour. For non-smokers this a a good place to go between 5 & 9 PM. By 7:00Pm there are 20-30 women here and few men.
Several bars at Crossroads Complex open in the late afternoon. THese are nice and women begin to arrive in the early evening. Tinder Box across from here opens at 10:00AM and has great wines and food at very reasonable prices. Women come in for lunch. Both GoodEnough and myself like this Place.
I like the Sari_sari Store in front of Crowne Regency Hotle. Open 24 hours, it has hot looking ladies serving drinks and women drop by during the day and tons come here at night. I was here at 02:30 AM once with mInfant Son's Mother and him, of course, and it was full of pussy. I was sorry I did not just have them sleep in the room while I wandered.
If you are just looking for a place to drink with western guys, you wold like Our Place (if you can handle the sleaze) or the Bridgeside in Lapu-Lapu. But then again, you would do much better to stay home.
The Kentucky died when the Owner drank himself into alcohol coma and was flown bak to the USA, never to be heard from again. It was, at best, a sleazy bar like Our Place.

Crossroads Complex is on Archbishop Reyes near Ayala Center. Tinder Box is right next to Crossroads. Cafe Adriatico is the Restaurant on the corner of this complex right on Archbishop Reyes. Live bands play here starting at 10:00Pm in the center of the Complex. This brings women. Several Bars here stay open until 04:30AM. I have never ben here past 11:00PM but I often go here for drinks or dinner.
I hae taken ladies here in the late afternoon of early evening frequently. Nice atmosphere for a romantic meeting.

I will try your suggestions, I have been in Our Place once and didn't like it, for the exact same reasons you described.
Metropolis Court Hotel, V Rama Ave, Guadalupe, Cebu City 032-255-7541. Guys I have been going to the Philippines for 13 years now at least 3-6 times a year. This Hotel is out of the way but it is great.

Yes They have changed names,The King Family the owners of Crowne Regency are on an expansion mode
My favorite bar to hang out is Silver Dollar because they open at 4 pm. Beer is only 35 pesos and 100 pesos for a ladies drink before 9pm. Only a few girls there though until 7pm. The bar fine is cheap there. I recommend if you are hungry to order the hungarian sausage with chips. Tell them you want it on a bun with fried onions. Yum! The Shepherd's Pie is also good! I must have bar fined about 20 girls in Silver in the last 2 years.
