Technically the BF is 10 LDs ie 3900 p so you will only be forgiven drinks that you bought for a girl that you barfine, not yours or other girls. I'd expect there to be a limit to this. I'm not a big drinker but guys seem to get comped 3 or 4 LDs without problems. I doubt you would get the full 10 drinks but if you like to drink yourself and buy the girls LDs then just have a word to the Mamasan early in the night and see what you can work out.

NI.Burgos is designed for the straight off the plane visitor with plenty of his or the company's money to spend looking for a pretty, English speaker who is unlikely to rip him off. As such it's going to be an expensive night, the better bars more so.

There certainly are attractive girls there but it's an exaggeration to say everyone is drop dead stunning. Also, different bars specialise in different types of girls. If you don't like the buxom girls in Bottoms, try PlanB where there are tall, slim girls etc.

3900 has been the BF for ages. You would be doing very well to get a girl out of a better bar for less than 3000 tip.

Options to cut down costs:

Get a girl's number and try to meet her the next day, out of work hours.

2nd tier bars are cheaper but you will be lucky to find any quality.

There were only 2 empty tables in the back of the bar (filled with 6 bikini-clad girls) for me to sit at. All the other tables were taken by guys already in party mode, multiple girls drinking LD's with one guy in each booth. Each guy had at least one girl sitting in his lap with her top off, making out. One of my regulars was on her way for LT and she asked me to meet her there so we could share a drink with one of her friends working there. Two girls were walking around naked. The place was in full party mode at 5 pm. A skinny girl with a wisp of a g-string bathing suite on was walking around. NBI agree with Natty, Engine Driver and WC1 with the exception of I have no experience with the street girls. I live in Bangkok and travel to Makati for 4 night Wednesday to Sunday trips as a change of pace to Bangkok and Pattaya. I love the bars in Makati. I wanted to add a couple of exceptions to prior postings.

1. Barfine in Kojax is 3000 pesos.

2. I've only found girls to my spec in 6 bars so I spend most of my time there. Bottoms, Mirrors, Plan be, Kojax, Tickles and the bar across the street where you have to walk up some stairs to enter, I can never remember it's name. The smaller bars can have a diamond but timing is crtical because in my case they were always OPP. I have never tried a street girl on Burgos mainly because I go to Makati to party hard in the bars with the girls I choose. Most of the girls really like to dance and party.

3. I read someone say that you could eliminate the barfine by buying 10 lady drinks for your girl. I have only been able to negotiate a discount based on buying many drinks but never eliminated.

4. Kojax is the only bar that seems to cater to Koreans. You can barfine girls there but the Koreans get the VIP treatment when they walk in. Many times they come in Groups and order bottle service.

5. Natty good news on the restaurant front El Gaucho is opening a location in Makati a 2 minute walk from I'm hotel. They already have a hiring sign on the door so it should be open soon.

It is not my first time to visit manila so I had some clues where to start. I'm 40 years old guy with a medium fit body. Look average. Mediterranean looks not blond or light skin guy so I don't fit the Filipino favorites.

Since my hotel was right opposite the Mall where this place is located, and I'm a bit of lazy arse, I thought I'd check it out.

Lots of ladies there, and its a fairly relaxed atmosphere, with just a load of tables outside. There are no lady drinks, so if you want to buy a drink for someone its not so much. They had a four beer in a bucket deal.

Disadvantage is that its not so easy to casually talk to a few different girls, you can probably go and sit down next to anyone, but its a bit awkward if you decide you prefer the look of the girl on the next table after all. Or at least I would have done.

Due to work I only had 3 nights available for the hobby but tried to make the most of out it and I think I "visited" 90% of the bars.

NI.Western food at fair prices means MacDonalds, Burger King, Yellow Taxi Pizza etc. Jollibee is okay for fried chicken and rice. Cafe Cubana and Filling Station on Burgos offer Western food at US prices. I go to the middle eastern restaurant at the mid point of Burgos Street. It's opposite the Quick E Mart. Not too pricey and there isn't much for the chef to fuck up.

I was in Makati last week and thought I'the provide some details on the only bar I managed to visit this past trip. I normally just go straight to Kojax but upon arrival I thought I'the check out somewhere different.
