I'm planning on coming to Phils mostly travelling but will also do some mongering. My ideal scene is the nightclub scene, I've been reading up on Makati night clubs and Royal is one that regularly gets mentioned. What's the freelance scene like in Makati / Manila Night clubs? I know the advice will be to stick to girly bars, and I probably will try one, but I just like night clubs and and if there's freelancers there all the merrier if I see one I like.

I've seen on Royals menu tables are classed as Cocktail, VIP, Elite. Does the price include a bottle etc.

Does the price include a bottle etc.I haven't been to Royal since before the pandemic, but usually the way it works is the more you are going to spend the better you can enjoy, so for example, there were a number of tall standing tables in front of the DJ / Dance area, if it was early and you were only going to have a couple of beers then you might be allowed to get a table, but as soon as someone came in and ordered a bottle, you got booted off and made way for the higher spender. With this in mind it is usually better to be part of a group as opposed to flying solo.

You could keep a bottle for the next night if you were not going to finish it, but it had to be almost 50% or above full, if you ended up around 20% remaining in the bottle and decided to go home (alone or with someone) then you would loose the bottle, and no, as far as I remember you were not allowed to take the bottle out for obvious safety reasons.

For the seating areas I understand that there is a fee, and usually these are reserved some time in advance, so not usually available on the night. I was out a while ago in BGC and given that not all venues survived the pandemic, the nightclubs that were open were in high demand, so booking a seat or VIP on the night is unlikely without phoning ahead and understanding how to book.

Royal used to be a mix of Freelancers and regular ladies, I have scored both in the past, the only issue with regular girls is they (usually) quickly try to rope you into a relationship, I suspect the crowd that is now going to Royal is still the same.

And stating the obvious, in a typical nightclub such as Royal with regular freelancers there is no barfine.

I am sure others in this forum may be able to add more info than I was able to.

Here's an update on P Burgos street, hopefully you find it useful, if anyone can add to, or correct / improve on anything I say then please do so.

A Girly bar for me is a bar or club that has ladies available to barfine and take out for paid sex, the barfine can include the deed or not depending on where you are, in P Burgous street as far as I know the barfine does not include the deed, so you need to negotiate with the lady in question for what exactly you want.

Here is an updated list of the girly bars in P Burgos street:

Starting on the top of the street (there is a slight hill), map included for better understanding we have:

1. Nautica.

2. Par avion (which is the same entrance as Nautica, but upstairs) currently the most naughty spot in P Burgos street.

Fyre Fun Club is recent, it was open (no front wall or door) with a couple of pool tables and trying to be a shisha bar with some food, looks to be under new management, re-inventing itself as a girly bar but still some way to go, they have a front wall now, so that's a start.

Neon Nights has changed owners, apparently someone from Oz is a new owner, looks similar to the previous Saharat, and the cost of drinks has increased a lot (or maybe this was the first time I was sober there) either way a shot here is 50% more expensive than any other bar on the street, when I visited I only saw a handful of ladies.

So, still no girly bars open on the side of the street that Filling Station is on, and very little activity on the bottom half of the street, hopefully we will see more bars opening up in the coming months now that travel is a bit more relaxed.

My ideal scene is the nightclub scene.I had only one experience and it may be noteworthy. Hanging out outside of the night club were groups of girls looking to be sponsored. Perhaps they didn't have the entry fee. They were looking to be taken care of. So if you agreed to pay for the fee for the group then they would be your date but I didn't test how long that obligation would last. It probably is more prevalent on weekend nights. But I realized that whole deal was going to cost more than what I wanted to pay and with no certain outcome. Those who enjoy the chase might like this. You would have problems separating your selection from the pack. You might however get a threesome going if your hotel was especially appealing. Don't forget that you can prepay everything at any bar. It's not recommended but possible. This is a common ploy that bars and girls try on newbies so that 1/ there is no concern of no payment from an unknown punter and possibly 2/ there is no consequence if the girl wants to do an early runner.

I paid the bar fine (about P3,000 and then probably another P6,000 for the lady) so a total of P9,000 was spent. To some that may sound like a lot, but in the long run, much cheaper than buying them those high priced drinks. All I remember is we told the Grab to take us to the "G-Spot" club but it was closed and we walked down that street to the places I mentioned. Yeah it really is a shame sometimes but attitude determines altitude is a true statement. The first night I went to the "V" place (can't remember full name) I pulled one with my partner. His lady was outgoing and fun, her friend was just "meh. " Went back to hotel did the deed and then she wanted to go. If you are expecting calls from your home, with the Samsung S21 I use, you can have one eSim and 1 physical sim active at the same time. From when I was there in March, most of the tourist sims will be a physical sim, so you may be stuck with one. My phone has two physical sim slots, plus the esim option. So as I stated, the max I could go is dual sim, one physical and one esim.

I believe you can find a nice condo in Makati (with swimming pool) for about 1,000 USD. I had stayed in Knightsbridge Residences, google it, is a nice condo and close to the busy area and Burgos, you can sneak in a threesome but it has to be during the day, at night I doubt they will let 2 women come in, since there are guards there and those condos (at 1,000 USD a month) are studio condos so only 2 people allow to sleep. But you can try to bring them during the day and they might forget you are with 2 girls.

That's why I don't stay in Makati if I'm staying for long like a month, I rather stay in Pasay close to mall of Asia, it is safe like Makati and the condos are nice like in Makati with pool and gym, the condo I stayed alot is call: Sea Residences, it will cost you about $700 USD per month, remember always book for a month so you can get a discount, if you book for 3 weeks and a half or even 4 weeks you won't get the monthly discount, it got to be 30 days to be consider 1 month and get the monthly discount.

About the safe, you shouldn't be bringing girls you don't trust, specially prostitutes or golddigers, is so easy to meet a good girl online, even the times I meet someone who is wild I still trust them not to be a thief and steal in front of me, of course I still have to talk them first and see how she is in person. I use grab but worrying about traffic jam.It depends if is rush hour, BGC is the closest to Burgos so taxi / grab should be fine, also to LA Cafe (Malate) taxi is fine, but to Mall of Asia and Manila Bay I would take the MRT (subway / train) during rush hour, both MRT and LRT are safe to travel, but I hate the line-ups sometimes, but during rush hour is faster than taxi / grab.

One advice if you take a taxi, watch the route the driver is taking, sometimes they will tell you to take a short cut during rush hour and in reality it takes longer or the same time, they just want to drive longer and charge you more. I got into afew arguments when they try to do that, even thought I told them not to do it they still do it or they do it without my permission, I always ended up getting out of the taxi and paying half of what we agree or whatever the taximeter shows, I just can not handle drivers like that.

By the way, there is an expressway, I think is call Skyway, that you can pay a fee and you can arrive faster during rush hour, I forgot how much it is, but is not much. You will have to give the taxi driver extra for that fee.

I used to pay her 3.2 k for 2 shots. I didn't ask her upfront what she wanted just gave her the money. Today 20 yo 2 shots for 3.5 k. I had a 22 yo lined up earlier for 5 k but she wanted taxi money and it was going to add another 1 k which I refused. Every girl wants to add taxi money after you agree the price so beware. I'll keep it short to try to avoid the conspiracy theorists, senile, and egomaniacs.

Lips - 50 girls on busy nights. 15 girls on Sunday. 3900ST barfine and girls are asking for 3000 to 10,000 for tips. Lots of MILFs and a few hot non milfs.

I enjoyed Angeles more. I'd recommend spending a day or two in Makati at most and the rest of your time in Angeles to maximize fun. But I like to hobby from sun up to sun up taking two or three girls per day. Also, Sunday was pretty dead so I'd avoid Makati on Sunday. There were more LBs on Burgos than girls working in the bars and that's including waitresses and mamas. Only plus was that there aren't many customers yet so you have your pick of the girls.

Usually in makati I get quoted 3 k ST online since they have to travel and the whole experience in my opinion is terrible since you don't really when they going to show up or even if they will show up. I like to ask them if they are in makati before negotiating with them if they are not I suggest you don't waste your time with them.

NI.Depends what you want. PL you may get a late 20's / 30's for 1500 but not young pretty and in good shape. Expect young and attractive in the 3000 -5000 range though I had at least 5 that pretty much scoffed at me when offered 3-4 k.

So I have been in Manila a few days now and here's my take:

A) Burgos just doesn't have the same vibe. Too few customers, few girlie bars, minimal nudity, and very high prices. Very few FLs outside as well. Wasted a few nights but did not pastake.

B) DIA has proven very useful this trip. I write this report as I return after seeing out a 18 yo spinner, who wanted to spend the night, and I'm embarrassed to say, I had to pull out of because I ran out of condoms, did not want to go bareback, and she wasn't ready to let go and for a couple minutes I was weak. She did not look at or count the money I gave. I could not keep up with her appetite unfortunately. What I wouldn't give to be young again. I also just cancelled on another spinner who was supposed to come over after work and spend the night. Can't keep up!

C) PL and Tantan, that have served me well in the past, did not work very well for me this time.

D) Massage agencies. Used a couple. Girls are good looking, young, toned and tall (make sure you make your requirements clear), but expect upwards of 5 k for boom-boom. The massage charges are around 2. 5 k in which you get 90-120 minutes of naked fun.

Cebu has a huge online presence. Every thing from good girls trying their luck to filthy hoes and everything in between. Don't rule out ad hoc mall meetings if you are reasonably outgoing and presentable. Helps if you are walking distance to a mall or somewhere that the girls will find easy to get to or find. Ayala area works well for me.

If you fall in love there are many places to take her for a few days or a weekend. Bohol, Moalboal, Malapascua etc.

Went out on Burgos last night. As Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and England games were on it's the busiest I've seen street for a long time as people continued night on after watching games in H&J and Handlebar etc. Was actually great to see, almost felt like old times.

Lips. Started downstairs, this is kind of like a traditional bar, but there are girls available. At least one genuine 9 out of 10, I didn't have beer goggles on at this point, but lots of pretty girls for sure. Prettiest was actually one of the barmaids though, Mamsan said she was available too if I could convince her, did not try as it was too early in evening. Then went upstairs, much more traditional Gogo area. First time I've been up there, but it was great. Some of girls from downstairs were coming upstairs and vice versa. Again some very attractive girls, next time I'm out may make this last bar to go in rather than first, to focus on one girl. Tend to take it easy in first couple of places then go big in last place of the night.

Maison. Brand new, did not go in, but it has replaced the bar on corner of Burgos up from Lips, the one that was refurbished into bar and eatery. One of Mamasans from Lips said that most of girls from Tickles are in there, so will be worth a visit I think.

Dimples. My biggest problem with this place is that it just isn't Tickles. I'm sure I could go in here and have a fantastic time, plenty of pretty girls in, few Mamasans who I've known from other bars for years, and girls are generally dressed up in themes whenever I've been. Girls are generally in evening wear type dresses, they have removed the stage also and put additional seating in so it is more like a bar than a Gogo. They have also retained the glassed off 'smoking' area from Tickles, but its so well lit I don't think its used for what it was when Tickles was open!

Neon. Put my head inside, not for me, far too loud so would not be able to speak to people out with. Girls on outside trying to get you in looked better than those on the inside.

Fyre. Like this place, got a lot of potential. More bar than Go Go, but got a good vibe to it. If you get there too early no girls at all, don't think roster is too big yet. In same building as one of my old favourites (Crazy Horse), alas not as good as that.

Nautica. My favourite bar on Burgos at moment, however, only popped head in as it was dead last night. Only one person in apart from group I went in with, completely opposite from rest of places visited which were all busy so decided to head elsewhere.

V8 - My second favourite bar now. I used to hate it, but the place has really grown on me. I had great time, but unfortunately, not as great as JJani when he visited (anyone heard from him? He's gone dark after saying he was leaving Philippines, hope all is ok). Girl I was with is great, but it was reported previously girls are super naughty and get fully naked at drop of a tequilla, unfortunately that us not my experience. Girls are shy to flash a nipple in the bar as there are male Filipino barmen and girls don't want to show anything incase they see. Happy to go home with you and show you everything obviously, but I like a bit of a pretour in the bar, I just don't get it here like I do in the others. Must not be young and handsome anymore I guess. Be interested to hear the experience of others recently.

Walk Home. Plenty of offers of 'Massage', many from 'girls' that were probably too pretty to be women. Be careful out there.

But they do look nice but I've been reading sometimes it's a "bait and switch" that is why I decided to just hunt for myself. Hoping to be back in Manila / Subic in September. The dating apps and we chat are definitely worth persevering with. You can get 10+ matches per app before you run out of likes for the day and just sift them out 4 or 5 at a time. Tantan and tinder seem to work best.

It seems to be mainly part timers who needs a bit of quick cash there and then and disappear once they get it. A lot claim to be doing it for tuition etc. Not sure how much truth is in it.

Just met up with one who claimed she need to pay her fees tomorrow. But just so happened to be that time of the month, but since she needed the cash, the back door was left ajar. 5.5 k was the damage on that.

Did a walk thru Burgos St during the day. Daytime does not do the massage girls there any favors. Old and weathered would be a generous way to describe them. Will give the night scene a go soon.

Hmmm. In my experience that is not entirely true. I lived in Vietnam awhile. Is it a destination for the short term monger, no not really, especially GFE. Philippine's this could take you only hours or a few days. Every country is different and girls are different. I had two live in girls in Vietnam but unlike Philippines it took time. Time I think time is the only variable in S. E. Asia. Are any as fast as the Philippines, probably not.

I think these are good questions. I am not sure there is a solid answer there. The differences between working girl, a pro, regular gals, and so forth are in degrees, not a solid line between them. Normal girls / Good girls: These are women who are hardworker, independent, or going to school, they will never have sex for money or be a goldigger, some of them even get offended if you give them money for transportation, and the ones that accept money for transportation will accept only when they really don't have money, because if they have they will tell you, you don't have to pay me for my transportation next time, I will have money then. These type of women are with you because they love you and they have feelings for you.

5. So I have been in Manila a few days now and here's my take:

A) Burgos just doesn't have the same vibe. Too few customers, few girlie bars, minimal nudity, and very high prices. Very few FLs outside as well. Wasted a few nights but did not pastake.

B) DIA has proven very useful this trip. I write this report as I return after seeing out a 18 yo spinner, who wanted to spend the night, and I'm embarrassed to say, I had to pull out of because I ran out of condoms, did not want to go bareback, and she wasn't ready to let go and for a couple minutes I was weak. For all Burgos gogo bars: Waitresses and mamas have been re-trained to be aggressive on LD. You buy a girl a drink (she orders a shot). She does not touch it for 2 minutes. Then she toasts "Cheers!" and downs it. Within 2-3 minutes a waitress / mama is at you to replenish that drink. Five minutes from the time it arrives until they are pestering you to buy another. Barfines are typically 3500-4000. Tip requests are the same as before in regards to barfines (hotties mention 5000, fuglies mention 4000). At one bar a new girl, second night on the job and FOB from the province, told me the barfine amount (she was wrong about the amount). However she was completely unaware that she was allowed to ask for a tip from the customer before leaving the bar (nobody explained that to her). She was also not aware of how much of the LD she would get: "There is a commission for me"? Or how much of the barfine amount she would get.

Except for Par Avion and Coco Rock, all bars now have beef-cake bouncers. Body builders, with several on the door and possibly inside also.

All bars close 4 am (as does Cafe Cubana). In Alibi and Par Avion I ran into this: I bought a girl a LD, and they both performed admirably with lap dances or rubbing themselves on me that I didn't ask for. I requested the bill and though I was the only customer at the time in each place, it took the waitress 10+ minutes to either bring the bill or return my change. I handed the bargirl a small note for tip and rose to leave. Bargirl: "You tip the waitress also". What? Ah, no, it was too long time on the service to receive back my change, 10 minutes with the waitress chatting the cashier, I don't tip for bringing a single drink, and she never came back to check to see if I wanted another drink; bad service. "You tip the waitress!" What? Have a good evening, miss. I left. VERY PUSHY, in both places. At other times in Alibi, the waitress is the pushy one.

In another bar there was 1 customer when I walked in, a big-spender with 5-6 ladies (and all of their drinks on the table) in a booth with him. I sat at a table and a mama came over to chat me. I bought her a drink. She seemed genuine and nice. A girl I knew from before pandemic in a different bar came over to say Hi. Real chatty and telling me about life during the pandemic (bad of course). I ordered her a drink also, and both LD arrived a moment later. Both ladies ordered shots. We chat for about 1 minute when I noticed standing at the bar was a mamasan from a previous bar before pandemic, but I couldn't think of which pre-pandemic bar she was from. She waved at me and smiled. I waved back. As my attention came back to the two ladies that I was drinking with, both ladies were slamming down their empty shot glasses on the table. The drinking mama got up and said: "I will right back". She walked over to the big-spender's table and sat down with the other 5-6 girls, raised her hand to get a waitress, and ordered herself a drink on the big-spenders tab (she didn't ask him)!. She never came back. That was quickly a piss-off. What happened to girls spending 10-15 minutes with a customer who bought a LD? I complained to the girl still with me. "Ya. She goes". Suddenly the chatty previous-bar girl went silent. The girl stayed with me for about 1 more minute and said "I go", and walked off. In this bar, there was no chance even for the waitress to pester me to buy another LD. I paid the tab and left.

Lets walk down the street.

Lion's Pride. Directly across the street from the defunct Jools / Horizons. Formerly called WowWow bar. Same interior as previously, with some spiff-ups. About half a dozen plump, late 20's / early 30's, average-at-best girls. Some nights just 3 girls, other nights 6. Closed completely on occasion for a night, for no apparent reason. Not much worth seeing or doing here, except to say that from 2 pm - 10 pm is a half-price happy hour on everything. Beers are p85, LD are 200, and barfine is 2000. After 10 pm, everything doubles.

Junko. Same side of the street as Horizons's, towards Kalayaan (the building prior to the old Mixed Nuts). KTV style, the barker outside explained p500 for 90 minutes of unli drinking (and also consumables). I did not yet partake.

Alibi. Formerly Mixed Nuts (ladyboy) bar, next door to Ringside. No longer a LB bar. Refurbished and downstairs now. Its got a stripper pole, and 3 x per night they do single-gal pole routines. One night I counted 8 girls in a row at the 10 pm show doing a 1-song routine each girl (takes more than 30 minutes for all the girls to hit the that pole). Festive place, lots of new talent, plenty of hotties. Pushy waitresses. When the pole dancing routines stop, several regular gogo girls hit the stage for the old, slow, dull shuffle. I was told there is a hidden nawty area inside to take a girl.

Ringside: Permanently closed, being re-modeled inside (mostly just gutted). The front door (Kalayaan) is sometimes open in the evening, the lights off. Its completely trashed inside.

Nautica. Formerly Go Bananas. Also closed, since at least June. A motorcycle is parked across the front door nightly. Its possible that the former Go Bananas has been halved, and the half that would be towards Makati Ave is now Par Avion bar.

Par Avion. Formerly part of Go Bananas. Great selection of girls, a number of lookers. Pushy waitresses. Sometimes I am the only customer. A young province girl, 22, hot, 3 weeks in the bar, asked to put her number in my phone (remember, before pandemic, trading phone numbers was verboten). We did, and she text herself from my phone. She suggested we meet the following day for a ST before her shift. While sitting with her in the bar, she offered a later ST with 2 pops, p2500. Sweetie why not get a barfine, you are guapa, a barfine pays you twice that. "No customers are taking girls for barfines. Not enough customers". A common refrain. Sounds good sweetie on the 2500 (didn't tell her that tomorrow was my non-girl rest day). Leaving, I got almost to the mexican Taqueria and she txt: "OK for tomorrow? What time?" I was a bit buzzed and walked around the corner to the new Dimples. "Then? Its 3 pm tomorrow?" Walking home half an hour later: "OK 2000 tomorrow". Ah, how sweet it is. Just outside Par Avion, the word 'Ivory' is carved into the sidewalk. I asked the door guys what was the name of the bar. Simultaneously one said "Par Avion" and the other "Ivory". The looked at each other and shrugged. Once inside I asked a girl the name: "Its Nautica". She pointed to the dance floor area, where there is a large ship's steering wheel engraved into the floor. Great, nobody knows the name of their employment.

Lollipop. Must go inside Par Avion and walk back to the stairs and go up. Its the old make-up and changing room area for Dimples I think. Pushy waitress and girls (for tips for massaging you for 60 seconds). A BJ specialty place with a private area just for that. Eight girls and not bad looking.

Coco Rock. Exactly as it was before, but with slightly better talent. 20-ish girls.

Vane-8 (or V8). The old Dimples bar. New interior and layout. "you"-shaped table arrangement around a dancing stage in the middle of the "you". Bunch of beauties. Sometimes they do choreographed stage show. Waitress and mama are NOT pushy, but drink prices can be high. A cheap bottle of water (p15 at 7-11) was p200. Some nights the place is jumpin'.

Fyre. A pool table and half a dozen girls, not particularly attractive. Not sure if the girls are bar-fine-able. You can buy them a LD if you like, or play pool. But not sure if you can take out the talent. Didn't find any worth taking out, only went once.

Neon Lights. Enter downstairs, get frisked by a security guy, go upstairs to a fairly large disco. Jumpin' place. Lots of gogo girls and a dance area. The gogos go in shifts to the dance area to do the old, slow, boring shuffle. About once an hour a separate, uniformed dance troup comes out for choreographed dancing. They are older dancers, mid-late 30's, and not much in synch when they dance. Nice uniforms. Music and DJ is extremely loud.

Jose Cuervo Taquileria. Same as always, has live band many nights, a guy playing guitar and a gal singing love songs (not bad), tex-mex food.

Dimples. Directly across from the Taquileria on Durban St (not Burgos). Next door to the Ritz-Astor hotel. Good size room, way too much aircon and a bit cold. Same mama from the old place (Grace), but almost all of the previous girls are replaced. Plenty of talent. Pushy waitresses if you buy a LD for you to quickly buy another. They have a 'special night' or a party about once a month (dress-up theme). But they don't advertise it. I walked in one night, to: "Westy where is your floral shirt? Its floral night!" I see. I was here a few nights ago, nobody mentioned it. I don't recall seeing a sign outside. So. . .

Maison. Now, walk all the way down Burgos, past Citadel, to Badajos St. Bourbon bar is now Maison (as reported before). After pandemic, last year, it was re-opened more as a restaurant, not a gogo. Complete with a pool table. Then about June they got rid of the table, divided it into two rooms, with a new stage in the far-rear of the place. Lots of chubby girls as GRO. About 6 weeks ago it became Maison, and the wall was removed. The stage is still there. You can still order food with your drink. Some newer talent has been brought in for titilation, but there are still enough chublets for those who prefer la cochina. Pushy waitresses.

Lips. Also on Badajos, previously Kojacks. An upstairs (complete with a pole; saw 3 fat drunk mates trying to ascend that thing one night, and one of them did a decent job of it) with more than 30 girls with a number of lookers. Did not notice many porkers. Downstairs a separate bar with pool table and about 20 girls. The upstairs / downstairs girls switch from one night to another. Waitresses have not been pushy to date. A good party vibe, especially upstairs. This is my fav spot.

Amors. I almost forgot. Its behind Fyre and Neon, on Ebro St, across the street from The Social resto. Between The Clipper Hotel and Alchemy bar (next to Lokal hotel). Completely new since pandemic. It opened to zero fanfare in June. I discovered it by accident. Six girls were sitting outside and dragged me into a completely empty bar. A bartender, a mama, and me. A raised dance stage with no dancers. Mama, how long has this been here? "Two weeks. You are customer number 2". Only number 2? "Yes". Have you advertised? "No". Do you have a FB? "No". All the GRO's were attractive. One beer and out. Two nights later I walked by and it was dark. Another one, GONE. Two weeks went by, and it was open again.

I have not barfined because I have found that the bars are really there to grind money out of the point-shoot guys (moreso than pre-pandemic). Also, in several of the bars, either girls gave me their WA or phone number, or they took mine (right in front of waitresses or mamas), with both our phones out in our hands, and suggested ST a different day. I usually only buy a drink for girls who are pleasing to the eye, so these are attractive girls. All of them dropped their initial price point when I ignored her messages, and several dropped their price twice (in just a few hours). Ignoring the girls and playing the long game sure drops prices, and it also shows from their price reductions just how opportunistic they are to begin with.

I have also not seen any guy depart a bar with a barfine.

No barfine, but drinks and seating are true nightclub prices as I have mentioned before, it's better to go there with a wingman or two and share the cost of a standing table (bottle of liquor) or get a table if you are feeling rich and want to impress, but you are starting at PhP 12 K+ and can easily spend a lot more for the VIP tables, you can do Royal Club on the cheap but then you are standing at the back your holding drink or if you are on a table you are highly likely be moved if the place is busy. Security is very strict in there as well, you need to both look and act the part inside. In years past I have got both Freelancers and ladies who tried to be my GF there (free but not really free). For high end nightclubs head to BGC.

I haven't notice any freelancers (but probably there are), I do notice alot of single girls (in group) that you can easily pick them up if you have some game (for free). In 2 occasions I saw some girls I chat online (2 of them recognized me and let me know later on in our chats).

I do agree that you can get a free table if there are empty tables all night (mostly weekdays). Thanks WC for the detailed update. I always have stayed 2-3 days in Makati before heading for a few weeks to AC. I think this upcoming trip will be the first time I skip Makati. I will say the quality of girls is a little higher, but considering in the prices, plus the nothing-to-do-during-the-day factor, I may skip this time. I do agree Royal is fun, and last time I had a blast at Secret Door.

As to the street scene. We have had a week or two of much rain, especially the past 4-5 days. That put a damper on the thing. However even before that, Sunday and Monday evenings are the slowest (its dead). Other nights Tues-Thurs evenings are ok, and Fri / Sat nights are the most populated with ladies. Makeup on the weekend seems to be 30-ish bakla in the street, and 20-25 girls. A shortage of foreigners are in the area (pick your own reason), leading many girls to stay in the area for 2-3 nights running without getting a date of any kind. The same shortage can be seen in the bars. One evening heading home I was almost to Makati Ave near Arabian Nights resto and a foreigner came running across the street from the Maison-Hollywood area, getting away from several bakla. "Um sorry to bother you? Is it possible that that group of girls over there? Some of them? Are guys? I'm shocked!" Oh, no, fella. They are girls. Filipinas can be a bit rough around the edges. Take one back to your hotel, ignore the stubble, and have a ball. Or two.

I forgot to mention that Neon Nights disco was very dead for its first two weeks. After that its been a jumpin' place each time I've been in. Have taken several ladies in for drinks and to watch the dancing.

Cafe Cubana has a well-lit sign over the front that says FILLING STATION. Was that there before? FS is open 24 hours, and CC is open 4 pm-4 am. I miss having coffee at CC in the early AM, sitting outside at a small table. CC has live band (at least one) nightly.

Cafe Cubana has a well-lit sign over the front that says filling station. Was that there before? FS is open 24 hours, and CC is open 4 pm-4 am. I miss having coffee at CC in the early AM, sitting outside at a small table. CC has live band (at least one) nightly.I didn't recall that Filling Station sign from before pandemic. From viewing it now it feels like the corner "Filling Station" has expanded to include the Bellagio. That position used to have an illuminated "Royal Bellagio" neon sign.

Ah the bellagio, I used to enjoy their themed rooms.

My other recent observation was that the balcony was full with patrons whereas before it was less popular.

I am glad to report some happy-happy bar-hopping recently. Saturday evening, Lips, upstairs. 10-11 pm-ish when I arrived. The place was packed, every table / booth was taken. But many of them were taken by GRO's. The waitress shooed several from a table for me to sit. Waiting for my SML to arrive, I was surprised by the large number of girls, and the quality. Wow! A bit like the old days. For fun I started counting guys: 18. I was in a corner so I had a good view of the place, and started counting girls. It became impossible to get an accurate count as the place was in full party mode, with numerous girls running around the dance / pole floor and the ailes, chasing each other playfully. I got to 47 and stopped, as I thought I was counting some girls twice. I estimated that I didn't count 1/4 of the girls. You can finish that extrapolation. I only saw 7-8 girls that I would *not* f*ck. A real party atmosphere.

Just a short update on P Burgous Street, there is two new establishments close to the junction of P Burgous and Makati Avenue, I was out a couple of times over the weekend so here is my update.

Where Arabian Nights was there is al Tarboosh (clearly an Arabic name) pic attached, which looks like a restaurant / bar that has billiard tables, given the theme it will also promote shisha smoking if you are fine with that. Doesn't look like a girlie bar, although I didn't have a drink in there.

Bourbon has come back, just down from the corner where it was during the pandemic, pic attached. It looks quite nice inside and will support live bands which seems to be what it is going for, I was approached by a mama to buy drinks for some ladies when I popped in over the weekend, so it might be a bit more of a low key girly bar, time will tell as it's only just opened.

I popped into Amors on Ebro street as reported by WestCoast1 a couple of weeks ago, and my experience was almost exactly the same (before 9 pm so it was early), it seems that it could be an interesting bar, I guess just need to figure out when to go there, so something is happening and I'm not the only customer.

I stopped by Per Avion recently and the latest 'sales push' was to see if I wanted to go to the VIP room, which cost I think 3,800 (or there abouts), after asking what did that get me I was told 2 K gets translated into drinks and the rest goes to your lady of choice who supports some of the wilder pre-pandemic activities that we seek here. Per Avion and Lollipop seem to have the same owner, and the VIP rooms are in the same building. I didn't try this yet so don't know how it fully works, would be interested to see if anyone else has experienced the VIP treatment.

Finally, just announced today that public face mask wearing is going to become optional which will I am sure create a few weeks of confusion as folks and establishments figure out what that means, as establishments will still have to enforce it (unless you are consuming food / drinks).

Burgos bars but would love to find some fun discos / clubs / bars with a good mix of freelancers and non-pros. I've RTFF, but haven't found any mentions. Any recommendations out there?

A few years ago I was taken by a taxi driver to 2 or 3 places in Makati area where they had a selection of girls to take out, quite like the goldfish bowl bars we see in other countries but without any frills, no bar and just seats around the edge for the 10 or 15 girls. They did a major remodel and the place looks great. Lots of women and freelancers Thursday thru Saturday, not so much the rest of the week. I spent some time there in May, June, and July. Like ED indicated it doesn't start filling up until after midnight, so 1 am is a good time to go.

The lady turned out to be fun and quite a trooper, so for me it was money well spent.

I also dropped by Lips (the upstairs one) and next time I will definitely go there as it offers a bit of a show in addition to quite a few very attractive ladies on the large dancefloor, no ideas on current prices there as it's been a while since I barfined anyone from that place.

Bourbon has come back, just down from the corner where it was during the pandemic, pic attached. It looks quite nice inside and will support live bands which seems to be what it is going for, I was approached by a mama to buy drinks for some ladies when I popped in over the weekend, so it might be a bit more of a low key girly bar, time will tell as it's only just opened.

Confirming Bourbon as per Ghost. It is now in the old Hollywood bar. Open about 2 weeks now. Bit of an oddity. Good live band, small pinoy-ish foods selection, full wet bar. Well-lit, allows smoking. Pool table in the back, opposite corner from the door.

Oddity. You can see from mine and Ghost's pics that there is an outdoor seating area at Burgos St. They keep half a dozen bar girls sitting out there, dressed in nice clothes (no uni). Sometimes the girls move inside. If outside, the girls almost whisper to you when entering the bar: "Sir? Sir?" If inside, one or more of them might stop by to chat with you. Not yet sure the function of this. Will need to reconnoiter and sus things out some more (read: get drunk there). I think my beers were under p150, so less than the other gogo bars. It doesn't seem to be a gogo bar, except for those girls (who are not consuming product or with anyone). A live band place, with GRO?

Departing Bourbon I stepped into Maison, next door. Before sitting I asked a waitress how much a SML costs: "400". Really, for me or as a LD? "For you the customer". I was in there a month prior and don't recall it being more than 200. Turned and left.

Up the street. Under Lokal ST hotel on Burgos, between Fyre and V8 gogo bars, the little birdie tells me that there has been the sounds of construction going on inside there recently inside. Then the old covid plywood facade came down to reveal a new plywood facade. Obviously something is getting ready to open there soon (ala Bourbon's similar experience).

Even older fuglies who were too old to be GRO's, such as a fat late 40's massage lady, if available, would not budge below 3 k on tip.

However, since pandemic re-opening, all the ladies will open with p6 k. Only one (brand new FOB) girl said 5 k to start. The girls now are keen to stick to their opening price. Its an odd bar. Eating / drinking area outside.

Inside its a small live band place, seats about 40, see pic. But they have GRO's whom the mama won't refer to as GRO (older, fair looking). They dress in street clothes or clubbing clothes. Was in again, a week ago. Mamasan brought me 3 girls from outside before I had a chance to get a beer on the table. The girls sat with me uninvited by me. The mama asked if I wanted to buy them a drink and I declined. She chat me for 10 minutes and asked me to buy them a drink 7 times. Downed my beer, paid the tab, and left. What did you do to piss her off about showing her ID? If you insulted her and she is angry, then fair enough. If she is just using it as an excuse to hide her ID and age, then it's a major red flag.

Having a coffee, meal etc with a young girl is no big deal. However, being alone in your room with her half / fully naked can have extremely serious consequences. I'd suggest you have a word with security and let them know that should you both return you want them to check, verify and keep her ID. This is standard practice at many hotels but you don't want to fall though and gaps.

Of course, many will say with millions of safe options, why even take the risk. Just move into girl #768346.

I'm with Goferring, if she got mad at the idea of showing her ID, then she's trying to hide it. Ask her again to see it on cam, tell her you want to make sure of her age. Then meet in a pubic place for coffee / snack. Look again at her ID and take a picture of it. She should not be defensive about any of this, as she will be aware that your hotel guard will force her to surrender it anyway once at the front door and show it to you if you ask to see it. Guards are also pretty good about spotting a fake these days.

If her ID has her picture taped on with scotch tape, its fake. If the pic is clearly not her, its fake (well it might be real, but its not hers). If the ID is past its expiry date there is a chance the guard won't accept it as valid. If there is no place on her ID for her signature, its not valid. College ID's are no longer considered valid (ID's must come from a government source, have a pic, a signature, a birth date, and almost always have a bar code or black stripe and other security holographic features). Most guards will accept a non-expired Barangay ID as long as its a small credit card-sized and either is laminated or is the newer plastic credit-card type (with holography, not a piece of paper). A piece of paper is never a valid ID. Vaccine cards are not a form of ID, but I took several girls in the past few months where it was accepted (the card had the girl's pic on it).

I also had a girl tell me she had a valid ID, then at the guard she showed on her phone a pic of her legit CITY OF MANILA COVID-19 VACCINATION ID, which is a pretty good ID. It had her picture, full name, Brgy number, birthdate, a QR code, and dosage dates. But it doesn't have a signature area. Its the same electronic vax record that I have. It was not accepted by the guard for two reasons, according to him: 1) There was no signature area; and 2) It was just an electronic pic on her phone. "If I will accept this then the girl will need to surrender her phone as the ID is inside the phone. Sorry". Well, he's probably right. Interesting that the girl said its her first rejection using her legit vax.

Another residence was requiring a surrendered ID and they wanted to view the girl's vax card (required for all entry at the time). I made sure that I photographed several of my regular's vax cards as they always had an ID, but having their vax card on them is happenstance. Surrendering her ID and showing her vax card on my phone worked.

If she is not willing to show you her (valid) ID, move on.

Turns out she just has a short fuse. After asking me to book a grab and me taking 5 minutes to work out how, she says "I don't like being ignored" and "Forget it, I have stuff to do anyway". For the most part, PH was really bad for mongering. I went to Heartbeat Mega KTV. I believe it was about 1500 pesos / HR for their "performers" and 1400/ HR for their models. I selected a performer and spent about 3 hrs and 4 drinks. It was just ok. Maybe worth experiencing if you have the extra cash. But you're not really missing out on much if you forego.

Next was P. BURGOS itself. There are female touts selling "massage". Most are below average looking. I followed one OK looking lady into a massage shop and was quoted 500 P for an HR. But I wasn't too interested and left. Most of the gogo bars open at 8. I went to two of the bars. One hardly had any talent worth mentioning. If you decide to visit Manila, and a nice, clean, spacious condo is important to you, I recommend staying in the BGC area, which is supposed to be one of the newest "luxury" areas of manila.

Lastly, on my final night in Manila, I visited 2 clubs. First was XYLO in BGC. It looked really nice and upscale. But you need to get a table to enter and the minimum cost for getting a table is 6 k pesos. We went inside, but the scene wasn't that great. It seems like a luxury lounge for you to come with friends.

After spending a couple of nights in Angeles City (see separate review in Angeles thread), I took the bus to Manila and spent Saturday night in Makati. Here are my thoughts.

Traffic - It's no joke. Be sure to allocate plenty of travel time, especially during rush hour. From the time my bus arrived at the Pasay bus terminal and I called a Grab car to pick me up, it was an hour before I arrived at my hotel in Makati (only 7 km away).

Airport - One piece of advice: be sure to check which terminal you are arriving / departing. There are four terminals at MNL and they're all completely disconnected; it's basically like four separate airports. If you end up at the wrong one it could take quite a while to transfer to another.

Hotel - I stayed at the City Garden Grand Hotel and can highly recommend it. The rooms are very clean and modern, it was girl friendly (they didn't even check her ID), and they have a fantastic roof bar / restaurant / pool with an amazing view. I ate there and the food was really good as well. The location is only a five-minute walk to P. Burgos and the Royal Club. From my perspective it was the perfect spot to stay. Note, don't confuse it with City Garden Hotel which is a different place just around the corner.

P. Burgos - After visiting Angeles City, I was most interested in hitting a normal bar / club in Makati but still wanted to see what P. Burgos had to offer, so I ducked into a couple of the bars. The setup in these places is different than Angeles City. I didn't see any stages or dancing girls; they're more like hostess bars where girls just drink with you. The quality of the girls seemed much better than Angeles, but the prices were also much higher. I didn't inquire about barfines too much but was quoted something like 8 K for BBFS in the corner of one bar (which would have been fun) but I'd also have to purchase like ten drinks on top of that. It all felt like price gouging so I didn't stay long.

Royal Club - As mentioned in my post below, Royal was a good spot. Granted, I don't have any other points of reference in Manila, but it was exactly what I was seeking. The place was mostly non-pros but there was a good mix of pros / semi-pros as well. My biggest criticism was that the overall quality was less than I would have expected. I'd say the average girl in the club was about a 6. I danced and flirted with a few non-pros but none were up for more than exchanging numbers. Since I was leaving the next morning, I ended up taking a semi-pro who was visiting from the province. She wanted 5 K which I thought was a bit high but she was really fantastic and it was getting late so I relented. It turned out to be the right decision. She was really great in bed and was much more fun and engaged than the Angeles girls I met. My only complaint was that she insisted on a condom, but was totally fine with everything else including DATY, which my Angeles girls wouldn't do. She spent the night with me and was really lovely. I'd recommend the Royal Club for anyone looking for a change of scenery from the Burgos bars.

Summary - While I was only in Makati for one night, I enjoyed it more than Angeles City. The environment seems more alive and there's a better energy. If you have the time and are looking for a less expensive, more raw scene, then Angeles is the place. Otherwise, if you only have a few days I'd recommend staying in Manila since traveling back and forth from Angeles takes a bit of effort and I'm not sure it's worthwhile. Further, while The Philippines certainly has its charm and the girls are indeed lovely, from hobbying perspective, if you're debating between Manila / Angeles or Thailand, I'd say Thailand is currently the better destination.

To have the best time at Royal, get yourself a table / sofa / half sofa. It will cost about 12 k which includes a 1 litre bottle of imported liquor of your choice (Grey Goose, Bombay Saphire, Black Label) mixers plus your own personal waiter. Service is amazing. Random girls will come and join your table and within 15 minutes you will have a full on party happening. There are few things as fun as dancing with a bunch of Pinay hookers.

Just do it. You won't have any issues.

The Indians generally reserve the best sofas and VIP areas and get the hottest chicks. But old white people can still have a great time. Royal doesn't have many Korean or Chinese customers which might be a good thing.

Thanks for your suggestions. Yes almost surely I will reach Surigao and then Siargao, but it is a long bus ride. Especially in this pandemic period, it's scaring me. Unfortunately there are no good flights from CDO to Surigao. But there are direct flights from Cebu to Surigao and even to Siargao. I'm thinking to spend one week in Cebu and then another week to Surigao / Siargao.

OUT OF CURIOSITY: I'm noticing there is a direct fright from Cebu to Siargao, do you advice me to stop in Surigao for some days before reaching Siargao?

Thank you again.You will need to fly via Cebu. The flights to Surigao are cheaper than landing direct into Siargao. There are fast ferries that operate from Surigao to Dapa (Siargao).

I have never slept alone in Surigao City and always took a BYO girl to Siargao. Surigao has a university now (recently upgraded from the technical college). Dating sites have lots of girls. Personally I have not had any mall pickup in Surigao, always have arranged online first.

On Siragao it is smaller communities, so more gossip for the girls. The surf area of General Luna has lots of pretty girls but I have not had to try to chat them as I had a byo. Personally I find the surfer girls too dark from too much sunshine.

So from three trips I can say I've always taken a BYO to Siragao. I've always scored in Surigao. YMMV.
