Apparently my last post caused some confusion among my fellow mongers.
Gentlemen, I was trying to say that the little pig was pretending to be drunk. She was a pretty good actress until I told her to get the hell out. At that point she sobered up pretty good while getting herself dressed and asking for a tip. Can you believe the brass on this girl? Funny part is she must have forgotten she pulled the drunk routine. Typical flip. Pull a scam and screw that up too. And they wonder why things in this country are so backwards and screwed up.

I was at the Matrix Bar Thursday last week trying to see what kind of flavors are available in this haven known as P Burgos. I didn't expect much out of the area since it's not really known for hotties in my book. But suddenly, this good looking tall chick sat on a table just across mine and joined an American and an Indian guest. 30 minutes had past and nothing happened then I asked the rose vendor about the deal on these two folks; the vendor said those are freebie seekers. To make it short, I motioned the chick to follow me inside and ask her to see me at my hotel nearby. 30 minutes later I was banging her with a tag-along friend (she's a little naive and need security, i guess). Good thing about it is that is she is prime 18 and was tight as ever. Body is excellent, medium boobs, and the face a 7 maybe. I didn't care much about her friend as she was somewhat like the pimp - not really a bad looking pimp though but I knew then she would be useful later. The girl I banged was reluctant at first but her friend convinced her as I expected. Five minutes after the first deed and I was ready to go for the second. I really don't think I've been trying to start flame wars. When you said that it did make me stop to think though so I checked all the posts I made this year. There were only two that could be considered argumentative. I'm sure the one that gave you that impression of me was when I accused you of making something up. I have come to the choice of 3 of them . The first is Starfleet , especially the happy hours 12 pm to 5 pm I think. The second which is and I am most impressed by is Stardust Quezon city which is fairly close to manila. The third if still operating is Wilderness . there is one other on the board which seems intreging to me its near roxy's in makati and looks like a hotel, but they say for memebers only its called DPD or PDP . But really if you go to Quezon thread or manila thread or Makati thread and spend some hours you can make up your own choice.

Suggestions?Depending on traffic it could take 2-6hrs. Hire a car for 1500pesos or Fly The Buss for about 300. Or catch a flight on South East Asian Air from Clark to MNL. About 30-40 mins.

A Question about Jools on Burgos Street

Numero Won and MickMonger are going back to Paradise in late October. It has been 6 months since our last trip and we are hyped and ready to rock and roll with those LBRPFM. Here is the question for my fellow experienced mongers on Burgos. Have any of you ever tried to bar fine one the exotic/cultural dancers from Jools? I know these dancers have to stay for all the shows, with the last show ending quite late in the evening. I am curious if these cultural dancers can be bar fined after the last show, and if so, how much do they want. I assume it must be a higher bar fine and morning after tip than the GRO's or regular dancers expect. Do any of you have any experience or suggestions on this topic. I saw a dancer there last time that was just gorgeous but she disappeared very quickly after the last stage show ended.

Back in Manila to one of my favorite haunts at Dimples. Started around noon and tourd P. Burgos as I have done for years. Ths shocking thing is that hardly any bars or action was underway on a Thursday afternoon.
Save for Dimples where I managed a real GFE and was quite pleased. Sally was among the girls that greeted me and she had the most pleasant face. 25 or so, I demanded that her friends leave us alone. Typical chat and she offered VIP for 3000p with a 2000 tip. Eventually got it down to 2100 and 1500.
Great experience. We spent 1.5 hours although she would have stayed longer. BBBJ and many positions with 2 successful deeds and many for her. She is a sweetheart and a real beauty.
So P Burgos is a disappointment and fading during the day but VIP at Dimples is a real value.

During my last week's visit to Manila I ventured once more to Palasyo Don Pedro to check the quality of the current service. The lineup at 4 PM was somewhat uninspiring, but there were a few beauties to pass the time with.
#11 was the choice and not a good one. She was a tired complainer. Frankly I swallowed my losses not wanting to waste Manila time and after doing the FS deed got out of there and continued the hunt.
The point is that Palasyo Don Pedro costs 2000 + 2000 for the girl foe FS and it is a mediocre lay. I can think of lots greater experiences for less money. Really no reason to go there unless you lack a room and time. Choosing from the lineup is a kick because there are some attractive girls, but till now I have not struck it rich.
But I can always keep trying as long as I live.

You have my vote also for Dimples, whether it be a mid-day break or evening fun. When in town I always head there. I know I can get cheaper, but my schedule is always busy and Dimples meets my needs. There have been times that I have been in such a hurry that I have just gone for the cbj in the booth! But the VIP room is better. I usually take at least two girls, which you can negotiate for the price of one, just more tips. Also you can get the numbers of the girls and arrange to meet them later without the barfine.

Ugg. I suggest that you don't waste your time with Topaz. The lineup there consists mainly of older (30s-40s) jaded women who will try to charge an arm and a leg. Much better selection at PDP.
Some are good and most are bad. Make sure your driver knows of several places, this will increase your odds of finding a good one. Cost is generally $3,000 pesos plus tip. The girl stays with you until the morning but you should clarify this before leaving. BTW the driver usually get's a cut from the Casa so keep that in mind when tipping. As for myself I quit going they were just too depressing.

Any driver who takes you to a Casa will get a commission for bringing you there. For 7000p, I'm sure he was a very happy man knowing that he'll likely get a heftier than usual cut from the Casa.

I've been to Philippines a couple of times and wanted to throw my two cents in to maybe answer some questions that I had on my first trip to The Philippines.
Mostly I've stayed in Makati, which is a very nice, but I've also traveled around Luzon some (mostly Cavite City). I've stayed in two hotels in Makati City. The City Garden-Makati (Makati Avenue) and Artina Suites (J.P Rizal / E. Zobel St).
The City Garden is a very nice, clean, completely girl friendly, but pricy at 2,430 Peso a night. It's a large, established hotel that most taxi drivers will readily know its location. Don't allow them to park your car, it's a complete rip off because they take your money and then park it on the street. I can do that. The hotel room comes with a breakfast. Nearby, there is a Pizza Hut, Wendy's, Grizzly pizza, Laundry, and a couple of convenience stores.
The Artina Suites Hotel is significantly less expensive. I don't remember the nightly rate (paid cash, so no credit card), but it was cheap. It's clean, quiet, comfortable and also very girl friendly. The feel of the hotel reminded me of a Thai hotel. The Artina has its own off street parking. The only downsize to the hotel is it's location, it's a little out of the way, so other then the provided breakfast, you'll need to drive to get anything.
Outside Manila Metro area, I have had nothing but bad experience with hotels.
I found the bars expensive (high bar fine) and the girls having a distasteful attitude, so don't have much first hand experience. The last time I was there, there were many attractive girls on Makati Avenue between Wendy's and Pizza Hut. One location that is good to meet girls is the "88 internet", located in the vicinity of City Garden hotel. It's crowded with girls online looking for Western boyfriends. I was impressed with the multi-tasking skills of these girls, each talking up to seven guys at one time. It was easy to get to know a girl before taking her to my hotel. I was never turned away from a request to go to my hotel room, but of course be nice.
If you want to rent a car, an option is National (5032 P Burgos St, Makati City). You can get a Toyota Altis for a daily rate of 1,800 Peso. Driving is OK in The Philippines as long as you stay away from the Jeepnies, which are outright frustrating. It was very easy to get lost, but I had time to play with, so didn't mind. There is a Budget directly adjacent to City Garden, but I don’t have any experience with them. Also, The Manila Metro area uses a system were a car can not be driven on certain days based on the vehicle's plates.
There is also cheap public transportation that is ok, but I founded them crowded and inconvenient. Traffic is horrible in Manila, so taxis can be very expensive because you can sit in traffic longer then it would take to walk to your destination.
I also want to discuss the Police. I asked three Officers in Makati (same car) for directions to National Car Rental, and they INSISTED that I get into their vehicle and they take me there. I was very nervous, but I felt like I had little recourse, but to get into the vehicle. They took me to National with no incidents and when I asked if I could give them money for lunch, the Police Sergeant declined, saying that it wasn't necessary.
I have only a few photographs. Does it seem that the girls worth photographing are the most camera shy? Attached are pics of two girls. The first is named Jane and the other is Sarah. Both were friendly, talented, and offered girlfriend quality service. I think it is unnecessary to pay more then 2,000 Pesos.

Mostly I've stayed in Makati, which is a very nice, but I've also traveled around Luzon some (mostly Cavite City). I've stayed in two hotels in Makati City. The City Garden-Makati (Makati Avenue) and Artina Suites (J.P Rizal / E. Zobel St).
The City Garden is a very nice, clean, completely girl friendly, but pricy at 2,430 Peso a night. It's a large, established hotel that most taxi drivers will readily know its location. Don't allow them to park your car, it's a complete rip off because they take your money and then park it on the street. I can do that. The hotel room comes with a breakfast. Nearby, there is a Pizza Hut, Wendy's, Grizzly pizza, Laundry, and a couple of convenience stores.
The Artina Suites Hotel is significantly less expensive. I don't remember the nightly rate (paid cash, so no credit card), but it was cheap. It's clean, quiet, comfortable and also very girl friendly. The feel of the hotel reminded me of a Thai hotel. The Artina has its own off street parking. The only downsize to the hotel is it's location, it's a little out of the way, so other then the provided breakfast, you'll need to drive to get anything.
Outside Manila Metro area, I have had nothing but bad experience with hotels.
I found the bars expensive (high bar fine) and the girls having a distasteful attitude, so don't have much first hand experience. The last time I was there, there were many attractive girls on Makati Avenue between Wendy's and Pizza Hut. One location that is good to meet girls is the "88 internet", located in the vicinity of City Garden hotel. It's crowded with girls online looking for Western boyfriends. I was impressed with the multi-tasking skills of these girls, each talking up to seven guys at one time. It was easy to get to know a girl before taking her to my hotel. I was never turned away from a request to go to my hotel room, but of course be nice.
If you want to rent a car, an option is National (5032 P Burgos St, Makati City). You can get a Toyota Altis for a daily rate of 1,800 Peso. Driving is OK in The Philippines as long as you stay away from the Jeepnies, which are outright frustrating. It was very easy to get lost, but I had time to play with, so didn't mind. There is a Budget directly adjacent to City Garden, but I don’t have any experience with them. Also, The Manila Metro area uses a system were a car can not be driven on certain days based on the vehicle's plates.
There is also cheap public transportation that is ok, but I founded them crowded and inconvenient. Traffic is horrible in Manila, so taxis can be very expensive because you can sit in traffic longer then it would take to walk to your destination.
I also want to discuss the Police. I asked three Officers in Makati (same car) for directions to National Car Rental, and they INSISTED that I get into their vehicle and they take me there. I was very nervous, but I felt like I had little recourse, but to get into the vehicle. They took me to National with no incidents and when I asked if I could give them money for lunch, the Police Sergeant declined, saying that it wasn't necessary.
I have only a few photographs. Does it seem that the girls worth photographing are the most camera shy? Attached are pics of two girls. The first is named Jane and the other is Sarah. Both were friendly, talented, and offered girlfriend quality service. I think it is unnecessary to pay more then 2,000 Pesos.

I did not know that about the Philippine law and the posting of naked pics so thank you for sharing this information with us. Have you ever heard of it being enforced?. It is just my opinion but I actually enjoy pics that show the face more so than the zoomed in pictures of the gentials or the personal sex shots. IMHO it gives us readers a better feel for lack of a better word of the person behind the post that is being written and it also allows us to really enjoy her total beauty. A pussy is just a pussy as most look all the same, but the beauty of a face goes along ways. I hope I am making sense as I am finding it very difficult to express exactly what I am trying to say.

The law is occasionaly enforced if the cops know the guy is a regular PI visitor or they have personal details that they can trace through Interpol.I know of at least one case,where the hapless monger was arrested and given the choice of 2 years in a Philippine jail,He opted to pay the girl 200T pesos which I assume she split with the cops to drop the charges

Went with a driver to Casino Street and Bautista. This is a general area where there are 3 or 4 casas in the Makaiti area. Be friendly to the driver and remember that you don't have to buy. You can always laeve. The drivers get a commission and credit toward gifts like food for their family (a sack of rice or flower) or money. Look and if you don't like, have them take you to the next place.
Casa searching changes as the night goes on as the merchandise gets picked over.
The negotiation starts at 6K for the night and moves down. You are promised overnight, but the pressure to leave early is more than in a Burgos bargirl. Therefor negotaite to 3K and leave room to pay a tip that will add to your GFE and also ensure that all night actualy occurs.
There are some beautiful girls in these placecs and a lot of ugly ones. You can have great experiences if you folow the formula. For those who like 2 this si the best way and you get a lot of leverage negotiating if you want a pair.
Most cab drivers around Makati at night know these places. 8 to 9 PM is the optimal time.

Its been a while since I reported on Makati but it all came together from the hints and tips from this site on my one night visit here.
In between meetings in Makati I went for a coffee at Starbucks in Greenbelt 3. Sat outside to have a ciggy and people watch. At the table adjacent to me was a PYT with a seriously great rack. As an excuse I asked her to look after my bag whilst I went to the loo. That broke the ice for when I got back. My problem with this type of advertising is it means a couple of things. That the girls are reading and possibly trying to manipulate the board. Burgos a few times with pretty good results. However, try to avoid it on Sundays (I was told that the talent was thin on that day). The girls are in a room with a two-way mirror (you can see in but they cannot see out). They are numbered so you just pick a number they show up in your massage room. Just make sure that the girl you pick is the one that they send to your room. I might have gotten the bait and switch one night but I was too drunk to care at the time.

I used JR's services during my last visit in Feb. this year. I thought I'd take a break from LA Cafe and the massage parlors and gave him a call.
He is an enterprising midle-aged cab driver - friendly, service-oriented - and after my experience, also trustworthy. He knows the landscape in terms of the Makati casas, as well as the Quezon city KTVs.
I was staying in Malate, and he came by the hotel in his cab with 3 women.
I picked one, paid him P3,500 (casa rate is about 3,000 to 4,000 for allnight) and brought her up to my room ( I specified only 2 pops, as I don't like to sleep with the girls). She showed some attitude and wouldn't do BJ, so I called JR. He was most agreeable - and agreed to come by with a replacement - who I didn't like either, and sent away with small tip.
I arranged for him to keep the money and pick me up from Greenbelt 4 the following day, and he did show up. Again I passed on the girl. JR gave me my money back - I gave him a good tip for all his efforts, and he was quite pleased.
Not his fault, really. As an expat filipino, my taste runs more towards Chinese or Spanish mestiza girls I can talk with, and JR does the "exotic" types ( casas and bargirl types) more favored by Westerners.
We talked about him taking me around the Quezon city KTVs but never got around to it. Still, if you're into the exotic look, or wanna see the casas, or just wanna be driven around - JR is your man. He feels safe, reliable and works his off, with a smile. Please tip well. Hope this helps.

Starfleet is good, there's a variety of choices. Start in deluxe, VIP then presidential. Yeah, they give a great spa and much awaited body massage. Starfleet is located in paranaque near Airforce1. Lots of massage parlor there. If you want a cheapest one you can go to "Utopia" its also a massage parlor but not that hotel type. That's it.

Where Is "Utopia"Utopia is in the vicinity of pasay. In front of domestic airport and near PATTS. You can see a big tag entertainment plaza. Lots of bar and ktv. There's a live naked show around 2am I'm not sure what time. Beside that is "utopia". According to their own magazine, there's a deluxe room costing about 1300 and the room rate does not include the girl you pick, you will pay about the same for the girl. But, please check, as the prices do change. That place look like p. Burgos in makati. Just check it out. (No, I don't get commission from them either! )

Utopia is infront of Manila Diomestic Airport. There's lot of entertainment ktv and bars as well. Same as entertainment complex in edsa. But, its much cheaper rather than entertainment complex. Utopia, is a massage parlor ranging about 1300 for deluxe room (came from there own news paper). Same rate you have to pay for the girl you will choose in the fish bowl. (as what I've known). That would it be. (I never accept any kickback from endorsing it, I just giving information about that place.)

I've stayed at Linden twice in past year, definitely under $100 per night, with ABF included. Has bedroom, and then separate L/R section with kitchen area, refri,etc. Internet also available for small fee.
Very comfortable...not sure if GFE but should not be a problem.
Up the road is a shopping complex with some good restaurants...

1. The Peninsula (like all PI hotels) should be girl-friendly. BUT like 5-star hotels, they might require the girl to be registered if she goes up w/ you after 10/11PM. Just for your security. As SOP in PI, always register for 2 (double Occupancy) which is the same rate anyway.
2. EDSA entertainment complex is really nowhere near Glorietta Mall. It is 1 block away from the corner of EDSA Avenue and Roxas Blvd along Manila Bay, and actually should be at the Pasay City / Paranaque border. Across the street from it is the 5-star Heritage Hotel and the 3-star Copacabana Apartment Hotel.
I will be based in Makati (near the Shangri La hotel for a few days next month). I would appreciate some help in locating daytime venues where I could get a nice massage with a happy ending within that area (perhaps at the spas of a nearby hotel) I will have family all over the place so I will not get a chance to escape for more than a couple of hours!

Howdy there guys!
Am writing this report from the my room at City Garden right now. Today is my 3rd day. Leaving this heaven this Sunday. Well, Last night started my exploration alone around City Garden-P.Burgos. Went pub hoping. Ended up at Mascara. Was not packed with mongers but with Chicks! The atmosphere was my kinda place. RnB tunes and non-stop dancing of WL on stage.Average of 6 on stage. Was there for about 3 hours until 230am. Closes at 4am. Beer is 130P and ladies drink at 300P. Spent about 2K there for 3 hours. At about 12am, sheesh...to my surpise ..strip show!!! And no cover charge unlike Victory Hills. Was great! Asked Mamasan for a gal, at it cost 3K. Bargained with the fact that I bought quite a number of drinks for her. Went down to 2k. THey have VIP rooms upstairs if you guys want a quickie. Ladies there are quite pretty and up to standard I would say.
Pls beware that when you get into these type of places, WL would flock your table. Make sure you immediately choose one, so you wouldnt have to buy the rest drinks. Choose one and the rest would dissapear!
2k to me was alright but then again was conversing with a WL and asked for her number. Said she would come to my place for 1.5k but it has to be late at 4am. Ended up coming to my room at 515am! If you want to be pampered but no extra, visit The Spa on Jupiter. I visit this place at least twice a week whenever I'm in town. They both have hot/cold jacuzzis, steam room, dry saunas and great masseuse.

I just arrived home from my trip where I stayed for a week in Makati. During the daytime I stopped at a place on P.Burgos called “Fingers & Palm”. It is located above the “88 Internet Café” next to 7-11. When I walked in, there were 4 ladies to choose from. I picked Johann who was about a 7 with a nice figure. The cost was 550 pesos for a one hour massage. The massage was excellent and well worth the cost. I then asked if she would be interested in going back to my room and what the cost would be. For the massage try oakwood in glorietta about 1200 for an hour and they will throw in the jacuzzi,steam room,top quality towels and the gym,,they are amenable to whatever type massage you want,,thai, shiatsu etc

Just got back from a 3-night romp in Manila. Stayed in Makati again and tried a massage place that had been recommended to me by a taxi driver a few stays ago. I was really tired and needed some genuine massage therapy.
The place is called Touch of Hands Massage Clinic and is located on the third floor of a little building on Kalayaan (flyer attached with map), so it is just a minute walk from anybody staying in the Burgos area. It is open 24hours, which makes is a nice anytime-you-want option for a rest. Promotion price is 250p per hour.
Although the outside of the building looks crappy, the place looks very pleasant inside. Professional massage tables separated by curtains in a dimly lit room with soft music playing. Very clean. The receptionist will lead you into a cubicle and give you a pair of shorts. You strip down and put on the shorts. Then your massage girl comes in for the massage of your choice... on my first visit the receptionist told me "just say if you want another girl and we will change for you." Although I saw some younger massage girls in the reception, I ended up with an older one, which was fine by me.
The massage I had was top notch - as good as I have had anywhere. A nice combination of Swedish (oil) and Shiatsu (finger pressure) style. Very relaxing and well done - the girl even did a great job of walking on my back. Good face massage too. It is easy to chat with the girls and tell them what you like massaged - I asked my girl to work more on my back and less on my legs. No problem.
At the end of my massage, the girl asked me if I wanted "happy." I took this to mean a hand job. On a subsequent visit, I heard the guy in the cubicle next door getting the same offer, so it seems to be a common practice. I didn't take up the offer or enquire about price, but it's nice to know that relief is possible.
They also offer out-call service to hotels, but at a 100% premium of 500p per hour, even to nearby hotels. I commented to the receptionist that there are lots of 350-500p/hour massage girls on the street and that she could get a lot more business by keeping the charge at 350p/hour for outcall, but she stood firm. I couldn't quite understand her logic. For frequent visitors, there is a stamp card available - get 6 massages and your 7th massage is free. Woo hoo.

There hasn't been a good run down on the Makati bars, so I thought would update the board. Just keep in mind that the bars are all quite different, and my favorites will not necessary be yours. It is based on living here for 9 months now, coming to the area about 10 times a month. I'll typically spend about $1,500 to $2,000 per month on drinks/barfines/tips/Victoria Court, which is probably about 45% EDSA/45% Burgoss/10% someplace else. Yes, I know that EDSA is cheaper and La Cafe is cheaper still, but I have my reasons. There just isn't enough selection in EDSA for me to find 15 girs a month, and LA Cafe is a risky place if you partake as often as me. While it is no guarantee, the bi-monthly testing at the EDSA and BURGOSS bars significantly reduces risk. But to the casual visiter to Manila, I wouldn't sweat it. I think it is really only an important factor if you live here (statistics)
I will list all bars with my personal rating. Ratings are based merely on which bars I choose to go to most often and which ones I bar fine from the most. If I happen to go to one bar much more than the others, and take girls from the bar alot, it will rate a 10 with me. Also, I have never been to a VIP room with a girl. Of course, they may not automatically do it if they don't recognize you, but will gladly subtract it if you bring the "error" to their attention. As a side note, the sound system and lighting is also the best here. CAFE MOGAMBO 6. The rejects. Girls tend to be older and some are downright ugly. It is dark in the bar (for obvious reasons). Bar fine is 1,600. However, with that said, the girls tend to be some of the sweetest girls you will find. And there is always the diamond in the rough.
WILD WEST 8. The only bar in the area not on Burgoss St or Kalayan. This one is on Makati blvd, about a minute walk from Flamingo, but easy to miss. This tends to be a bar where many new girls start before they are assigned. Now, of course it doesn't strictly work that girls start at Wild West and then get assigned to another bar, but it certainly is a tendancy. I have had 3 "first day on the job" girls here, as opposed to zero at any of Doug's other bars. However, all girls (except I think some of the key dancers) are allowed to bar fine IF they want to. Because of this policy, the bar tends to attract girls who want to earn a decent salary without having to bang a stranger every night. My advice would be to not waste any money or time trying to barfine any of the cuter girls in the bar, unless you want to invest your time in becoming their boyfriend. It is the number one bar in the area if want to bar hop with your recent barfine, and I come here often. The atmophere in this bar is great.
FOXYS 6. A large bar with a good selection. Since Stardust "burned down" at the beginning of December, all those girls now work here. This will be the 1st of a month long report of my vacation in the Phils.
Long boring flight from San Fransisco, arrived late finally checked into the Prince Plaza II at about 130 am with one of my best buddies from days gone by. He had his Phillipina G/F meet as at the airport so that made transport an easy issue.

Later he heads off with his girl friend and I decide to get a massage from a place a read about on a previous post for only 250p. Taxi there and after a little difficulty, I find the place and figure what the heack for 5 bucks I'm going for 2 hours. I tell the girl I want a 2 hour massage and she leads me to the room (actually a curtain enclosed area with a bed in it and then was asked if it would be ok if I have one girl for the 1st hour and a 2nd girl for the next hour. There hasn't been a good run down on the Makati bars, so I thought would update the board. Just keep in mind that the bars are all quite different, and my favorites will not necessary be yours. It is based on living here for 9 months now, coming to the area about 10 times a month. I'll typically spend about $1,500 to $2,000 per month on drinks/barfines/tips/Victoria Court, which is probably about 45% EDSA/45% Burgoss/10% someplace else. Yes, I know that EDSA is cheaper and La Cafe is cheaper still, but I have my reasons. There just isn't enough selection in EDSA for me to find 15 girs a month, and LA Cafe is a risky place if you partake as often as me. While it is no guarantee, the bi-monthly testing at the EDSA and BURGOSS bars significantly reduces risk. But to the casual visiter to Manila, I wouldn't sweat it. I think it is really only an important factor if you live here (statistics)
I will list all bars with my personal rating. Ratings are based merely on which bars I choose to go to most often and which ones I bar fine from the most. If I happen to go to one bar much more than the others, and take girls from the bar alot, it will rate a 10 with me. Also, I have never been to a VIP room with a girl. If that is your thing, then you will certainly have different preferences for bars than me. A rating of 5 represents an average bar. Bar fines are 3,000, unless otherwise noted (to the best of my knowledge anyway)
Bars are listed in a general order of their physical location along or near Burgos.
Flamingo, Wild West, Bandido and Cafe Magambo are all owned by the same man (let's call him Doug). He does things a little differently then the rest of the bars. They also happen to be some of my favorites.
FLAMINGO 9. This is the nicest bar. Attracts the best looking women. Of course, they also tend to be a little stuck up when compared to the rest of the bars, but I can live with that. Once you learn to ignore their attitude, banging these hot bitches can be very good. For my first three months here, I never had a girl from this bar. Last month I had four. I don't think the bar changed, just my tastes. Also, you would be surprised how some may appear to be a bitches in the bar, but turn out quite nice in bed. The barfine here is 1900. Also, ladies drinks come of the bar fine here, so if you buy three drinks, the fine is only 1,000. Of course, they may not automatically do it if they don't recognize you, but will gladly subtract it if you bring the "error" to their attention. Some of the other bars have this policy, but it is often on a case by case basis. Here it is policy (again, you may have to remind them). As a side note, the sound system and lighting is also the best here. And All of Doug's bars have a full menu from Panama Jack Cafe, as opposed to the fried chicken/pizza that they serve in the other bars.
BANDIDO 7. The girls who aren't quite up to Flamingo standards get assigned here. The look and feel is similar to Bandido, but just a little less. The girls aren't quite as cute. There aren't as many of them. The sound and lighting isn't quite as good. And the stage doesn't turn. Bar fine is the same 1,900.
CAFE MOGAMBO 6. The rejects. Girls tend to be older and some are downright ugly. It is dark in the bar (for obvious reasons). Bar fine is 1,600. However, with that said, the girls tend to be some of the sweetest girls you will find. And there is always the diamond in the rough.
WILD WEST 8. The only bar in the area not on Burgoss St or Kalayan. This one is on Makati blvd, about a minute walk from Flamingo, but easy to miss. This tends to be a bar where many new girls start before they are assigned. Now, of course it doesn't strictly work that girls start at Wild West and then get assigned to another bar, but it certainly is a tendancy. I have had 3 "first day on the job" girls here, as opposed to zero at any of Doug's other bars. You won't find one on every visit, but you would be a fool to not give it a try (unless of course you happen to perfer experianced bar girls). Bar fine is 1,600. The bar is a minute off the beaten track for a reason. It is small bar, so the selection is not large however.
MIRRORS 5. One of the newest bars in town. Often has a good dance show going. Average girls.
DIMPLES 5. Small bar. A decent selection, but I find that the cute ones are often "virgins". A popular bar, but usually older customers (the regulars anyway).
BOTTOMS 5. A lot of decent looking women here, but they tend to be raunchy. If sucking a girls tits in the bar is your thing, this is the place.
ROUGES 4. A great bar to play to pool and hang, but few girls. VERY FEW cute ones.
HOLLYWOOD 5. Small bar, but a decent selection.
MASCARA 4. Never found anything interesting here.
BLUSH 7. Large, new bar. Owned by a very friendly Austrailian (If you see a guy who looks just Drew Carry, that's him). Bar fine is 2,500. They are also the only bar that I know of with short time rooms upstairs. They don't advertise the fact (not allowed in Makati), so you have to ask. A lot of girls, often cute ones. Also, they sometimes have good shows.
RASCALS 7. A smaller bar, which tends to go up and down. Right now it is definately up. Tend to be the "very cute with attitude" type of girl.
IVORY 4. Well, the good news is that this bar has the most girls except for maybe Flamingo. The bad news is thay they are all either old or ugly. Now, in this area old is over 25. So if you think that 25 to 30 is the perfect age for a girl, you are in heaven. If you like the 18 to 21 camp, just skip this bar.
JUNGLE 5. A sister bar to IVORY. A very small bar, but not bad.
TICKLES 4. Never found anything here.
SHAMPOO 5. A Decent selection.
BILBOARD N/A. At first look, a very nice bar indeed! Lots of very cute girls. Great decor, lighting and sound. The best dance shows on Burgoss. But just one problem. Many of the girls, and all of the cute ones, are not typical bar girls. The bar pays a decent (relatively) salary to all girls, and none of them are expected to bar fine. However, all girls (except I think some of the key dancers) are allowed to bar fine IF they want to. Because of this policy, the bar tends to attract girls who want to earn a decent salary without having to bang a stranger every night. My advice would be to not waste any money or time trying to barfine any of the cuter girls in the bar, unless you want to invest your time in becoming their boyfriend. It is the number one bar in the area if want to bar hop with your recent barfine, and I come here often. The atmophere in this bar is great.
FOXYS 6. A large bar with a good selection. Since Stardust "burned down" at the beginning of December, all those girls now work here. The bar is often closed for some strange reason, but it is worth a look. An easy bar to miss, as it is a one minute walk from Burgoss, on Kalayan St. I guess that is why it is relatively devoid of cutomers.
CUDDLES 4. Very small bar. Never seen anything worthwhile.
ENCHANTED ROOM 5. The bar is upstairs, over Papillon. So so.
PAPILLON 5. Average bar.
FRIDAYS 5. Decent selection.
MONTANA 7. A good selection of girls. I have had a few from here.
HIGH HEELS 5. The bar is up and down, but right now it is down. I once found two in one week from this place, but nothing in a while. Lots of dark corners in this bar, and one of the only bars where I am inclined to let the girls unzip me.
JOOLS 6. A little different from most of the other bars. The girls here tend to be older (early to mid twenties), better educated, and more like hostesses than bargirls. Of course, all girls will still barfine. They have a show at I think 10:30 and 1:00 am. The show is like a really low end Vegas type revue. Feel free to miss it. If you like your girls to have a little poise, you may like the girls here.

Just arrived in Manila last Friday after 40+ hours of traveling due to weather delays.
My wife is with me and we are staying at the Mandarin Oriental and I was exhausted from the trip and wanted a massage.
I walked with my brother-in-law to a place a block off of Jupiter called Oasis massage or something like that. It was on the 2nd floor above a some parking spaces. I think it was 500 for an hour but we saw about 4 or 5 girls there and decided to pass.
We went back to the hotel, got his car and went to PDP. The room rate was 2000.
This was the first time for both of us and we arrived at about 10:30pm. There were about 20 girls in the aquarium and I asked the guy for his recommendations. He recommended 3 girls who all looked good but I took the first one he suggested which was #18. My BIL took #19.
I hadn't slept for 48 hours other than a few minutes here and there on the plane so I almost fell asleep before the girl came in. When she came in, she looked much better than in the aquarium. She was 5'3" and about 100lbs with a nice, tight body. My BIL said that #19 gave a great massage and was very talkative and friendly.
For some reason, it doesn't look like too many people give detailed FRs so I will refrain also. I will say that she quoted me the 2000 room rate for extras. I was too tired to negotiate so I agreed. That means less than 2 hours away from the room and a cost of 4000. The cost of a barfine, ST hotel and tip to the girl will probably cost the same amount and I saw at least 4 or 5 girls I wouldn't have minded being with.
If I go again I'll pay a little more attention to the selection and give some details.
Stayed at the Prince Plaza II last year and did not have any bug problems. Based on my experience, I recommend it.

You may say it is a rip off, but the ladies are asking a minimum of php1000 in any 4-5 stars hotel, especially if you are caucasian. It depends on how good you are to negotiate the price down.
I tried Intercontinental, Dusit and Mandarin Oriental. No happy ending offered. The actual massage at Oakwood starts at 1200 for 1 hr.
I am quite aware that you could get a massage +hand job for 450 at several places in Makati. However I wanted it to be walking distance from my apartment in Ayala Av, which restricts the choice to the area aroung Glorietta, and for the environment to be that of a top Spa.
Unless I am mistaken this sort of thing can only be found in a 5 star hotel. I would very much welcome any alternative venues. Indeed I did ask for guidance from fellow members before my trip without much success.
If you guys have nice girls you can begin a nice business.

Went out yesterday (Sunday) and found that it was pretty slow. Went to Miss Universal at about 8pm and the girls there were average. Usually there is one dance in bra and underwear and then another dance by the same group of girls either topless or fully nude.

As regards the kickback for the taxi driver, this is what I do: Drop the cab one or two blocks *before* reaching the MP. Make sure the cab does not follow you. This will save you the taxi drivers commission. This is a very common practice in Bangkok where the taxi and tut-tut drivers attach to you like a magnet.
What is the price structure in PDP? You indicated that you had to pay for the room. Are there different kinds of rooms? How much for the girls? Is FS the norm?

I am glad I kept the taxi driver in this case because it took me 45 minutes to get one since it was rush hour.
For me, I usually go with friends with cars to these places so I don't have to worry about taxis. But, if I were to take a taxi, the places I would go are usually so large that the rates will remain the same regardless of how you get there.
For PDP, they have a regular room and a Presidential. I think from 2am to noon the regular room is 1200 and I'm not sure about the Presidential. from noon to 2am, the regular room (I think they call it executive) is 2000 and the Presidential is 2500. The girls are the same and I've only taken the regular rooms. It has a king size bed and a decent bathroom and a tv. Not much more is necessary IMO.
Full service is 2000 and is absolutely expected. Apparently during the discount time it is 1500. Others have claimed to have negotiated the price down to 1500 during regular hours. I haven't tried too hard to negotiate it.
Some girls want extra for a second pop and some don't. I've had a couple of girls ask me for a second pop because they wanted it.
Also, at PDP, it appears that all of the girls will take a shower with you before and after. I had known other MPs where time was limited and it was better to shower before the girl came to the room. But at PDP you get 1.5 hours which should be sufficient.
Last night when I went, I took a shower before the girl came in, was wrapped in a towel and she came in and said, "let's take a shower together". Off the towel went and we jumped right back in the shower...
Also, all of the girls I have had have been great GFEs. The first one who has been #1 or #2 on their top 10 list for the last year was somewhat business-like about it but still a great GFE. when you get to Manila, try calling Avis rent a car, they can supply drivers as far as I know when you book a car. I think the price will be around P400 per hour.
Also, depending on the quality of your hotel, they will also be able to supply drivers too.
I know when I stay at the Shangri-La they will allow you to book all sorts of cars. They have 5-series BMW's, and I think the rate is about P4000 for 3 hours. Some may find this expensive, but, think about it, 3 hours driving around manila in a $100,000 car with a chauffeur for about $75 isn't bad, and its a very safe way to travel around Manila.

but, if all else fails, then the Avis guys will still probably know where to go. Remember I would suspect most of them were taxi drivers once.

They have a grand opening special right now for 1,200 Pesos, but that is about to end and then it goes up to 1,500. Still a bargain considering that PDP charges 2,000. I have been there twice, once at 6:00 pm and once at 10:00 pm. The 6:00 time had a beter selection. I really think the manager is quite daring to put the place where it is. A 5 minute walk from Greenbelt in one of the nicer parts of town. Just ask any cab driver to take you to the corner of Passay Rd and Makati Ave. Then just walk along Passay Rd towards Paseo De Roxas. You will see a big JVC sign and also a big I-Bank sign. The place is right between the two signs. It is a well lit lobby with no name.

Have to agree. The price was fine for it's value proposition hehe. Spent a long 3 day weekend in Boracay with my two regular gals (20 and 22) and one pill did the job so that Mr. Johnson was on call at any given moment the entire time. There were some people here who were talking about rumors that if it got big that one of the places they might try to take is the airport. I know it's far-fetched but crazier things have happened. There's nothing more important about having fun in the PI than getting there in the first place.

I just wanted to share the hotel that I stayed in Makati a few weeks ago with you guys. It is the Best Wetern Astor in Makati. I booked it on the web after finding that it had some good reviews and really surprising rates, considering the quality of the hotel and the decent neighbourhood (I disliked the nighbourhood around the Executive Suites where I had stayed prior to this. Just a filthy area. Only good thing was the BayWalk). I paid 45 USD per night for 2 nights, including a really decent breakfast for two people.
The room was clean, and everything worked fine. Big bathroom with lots of faux marble. Highly recommended, so long as you do not mind the 20 to 30 minute taxi ride to EDSA or LA Cafe if those are your playgrounds of choice. I am not aware of the hunting grounds in the immediate area, as I was staying with a gf from Manila.
Another plus was that I was able to get instant confirmation and hotel voucher for the Astor on the web. For some of the really in-demand hotels, like the Heritage House, you need to wait for 24 hours, only to find out most of the time that they are "fully booked" (meaning that the hotel has already filled their allocation for the cheap rooms that they sell through 3rd parties on websites). I find this really annoying, because you end up making multiple attempts just to book a room for a couple of nights, which wastes precious vacation time.
But the bottom line is that I would not hesitate to stay at the Best Western Astor in Makati.

I stayed at the Astor about a year ago and they put me and a buddy in two different a rooms on the third floor. Both rooms were dingy, dirty and no hot water (warm at best) for a shower. Unfortunately, we prepaid thru Asia Travel so we were stuck there. However, we complained and they moved us up to the 8th floor which had recently been remodeled. There was a huge difference in the quality of the room. It was pretty nice, clean and everything seemed to work properly.
The only other complaint I have about the Astor has to do with the staff. The staff did not seem to appreciate the extreme mongering that we were engaged in. My buddy had 9 different women in his room over a 6 night stay and I was not far behind (8). But, besides the dirty looks we got from the front desk staff, I would say the Astor was worth the money (we paid $40 USD w/breakfast). However, for a little more money, my stay last month at the Makati Palace was a much better deal.

You can easily find the official website via google. Rack rates for a one bedroom start at 6000 USD / month. I guess this can be negotiated, but less than 3500 USD is unrealistic. Salcedo Village is a business area and these type of serviced residences are top-end, similar to Oakwood, Rockwell or One Roxas. Asiatravel quotes USD 125 net per night for the smallest room at Fraser.

That's true. But, Mandarin is about 2-3 blocks from Burgos. I just got in at about 1:30am today and walked over to Burgos and PDP and was back by 4am. PDP is about 5-6 blocks and they were running a promo of 1200 from midnight to 6am...

I just went to Phoenix1 today and had Beth. They have a special where you can purchase a card for 6000 which is good for 6 massages. If I was going to be around longer I would have bought it.

So back to Makati to settle some unfinished business and what a splendid two days it was

You probably won't get that sore throat again at least not so easily nor as severe. A lot of what we visitors catch is just normal day to day stuff that is new to our immune systems. Both are excellent, and both provide very good service. There's no problem bringing in a companion in either place. The Dusit is slightly more convenient to Greenbelt, especially if you're going to walk there.

I will be staying at Prince Plaza condo-hotels - http://www.alltravelspots.com/philippines/makati/princeplazaII/ The standard room is shown for 2400p but my GF got it for me for 1800p. This includes 2 free breakfasts. If you need it parking is an additional 150p per day. It is right next door to Greenbelt.

I am currently staying at the Richmonde hotel in Makati but will move back to the Mandarin where I usually stay on Tuesday. I don't mind moving to somewhere back in Makati in the meantime. Can that 1800 rate be had by anyone?
Any bars or clubs open today or tomorrow? I know that PDP is closed as are many bars.

Actually, I was there last week and the Starbucks was closed for renovations. It might be open by now but I know last Sunday it was closed.
At the Makati Shangri-la I'd recommend Phoenix 1 for starters...
I had some time so I decided to give some answers to a guy who sent me a PM. As I was writing it, I realized it might be of some use so I decided to post it here. It was in answer to what to do around the Shangri-la Makati and if it was girl-friendly. Here is my response:
The hotel is definitely girl friendly. How long are you staying? What types of girls are you looking for?
Do you like the bargirl types or the regulars?
To start, if this is your first time, get a cell phone. Where are you from? If you have a GSM phone, you can buy a sim card for 150 pesos and put it in your phone. If you don't have one, you can buy a used one for under 1500 pesos to use. Buy a 500 peso load and you should be good to go for a week. Give out your # and watch the text messages come in.
The first place I'd go is Phoenix 1. It's a massage parlor about 1/2 kilometer from the hotel. It is in the Roman Suites hotel on Arnaiz Ave. Just ask a taxi driver to take you to that hotel--they won't know Phoenix 1.
Once you get there, go up to the 3rd floor and they will take you to an aquarium where there should be 10-20 girls for you to choose from. Choose your girl, pay the 1200 pesos and they take you to a room. Not sure if you are familiar with massage parlors here but the girl should give you a shower, a massage and whatever else you want. Extras should be 1500 pesos. The girl may ask for 2000 but you can get away with 1500.
I know people say that the bar on the 2nd floor of the Shangri-la, Havana cafe in Greenbelt, Starbucks next to the hotel and in Greenbelt and the Hard-Rock cafe have girls but I have found them to usually be on the ugly side. Plus, you have to watch out for the transvestites. Some of them are hard to tell.
You will definitely want to check out the Burgos scene one evening. I stay at the Mandarin hotel which is about 4 blocks away and Burgos is 3 more blocks from there and I always walk but you probably want to take a taxi. It will cost about 50 pesos.
Walk down Burgos and check out a few of the bars (there are over a dozen). You will see dozens of girls on the street, in the Mini-Stop, 7-11 and internet cafes waiting to be picked up. But, the ones on the street are usually ones who failed their STD tests, too ugly to work in a club or TVs. There was one who chased me down the street offering me a massage in my room for 500 pesos. She had a big rack and looked like a woman but others have told me that she was a he. I didn't accept so I'm not sure. Everytime I walk or drive down Burgos I always see him/her.
There's another MP near there called Palasio Don Pedro. If walking down Burgos from Makati Ave, turn right on Kalayaan (the big street) and left at the second street. You will see the name in neon blue and can't miss it. Same deal as Phoenix 1 except the rate will be anywhere from 1000 to 2000 depending on what time of day you go.
If I recall correctly, from 2:01am - noon it is 1000, noon to 6pm is 1200 and 6:01pm to 2:00am is 2000. A presidential room is a little more but it is just a bigger room which I really don't care about.
That should be good for a day or two. I can give you some other clubs in Pasay to visit--never been to the Quezon City club scene because I've been happy with the Pasay ones. I hear that the girls are higher quality in Quezon City but it is also more expensive. I've found enough good ones in Pasay to keep me happy...

Ringside is the new bar that replaced Cuddles. Considering that cuddles was maybe the worst bar in Makati, anything would be an improvement.
The bar has a boxing theme and the girls "dance" in the ring. They have "sexy boxing competitions" a couple of nights a week, but I have never seen one. I would consider this a good bar with a decent selection. As in most Burgos bars, waitresses cannot generally barfine as they are not licensed as GRO's or dancers, but arrangements can be made with the mama if the girl wants to go with you. Convincing a cute waitress to go with you will generally take several visits to the bar however, so make sure she is worth it.

Wednesday evening in Makati, walking around Glorietta 7pm, I saw no ladies making eye contact at coffee shops etc as I have in the past. Even around Greenbelt, including Havana, I got no visible offers. Sure, there would have been some later, but I was tired, so I went to the hotel to sleep alone.
Thursday I checked out Phoenix One (specific directions have been reported in this thread not long ago), which is still 1200 for the room and massage, and (according to others) a tip of 1500 for full service after the massage. Or you can have two girls for 2000 (and presumably the same tip for each). At 5pm there were 9 girls with terminal boredom in their faces, so I left and got a haircut. There were three obvious pros, plus side of average, sitting at a table at Cafe Havana (Greenbelt 3) as I walked by. Still did not notice anything at the coffee shops. Maybe they have been cracking down.
A quick lesson learned from experience: one common game around Glorietta/Greenbelt involves pretending she might be available but is not a working girl. She plays a little hard to get at first, then seems to fall for you. No price negotiation takes place because you think she's a free date, and later she can play you with guilt when it's time for her to leave. She can be persuasive, and in the end you may pay more if you are subject to such manipulation. OTOH you can pay her anything you like, including nothing (since that's what was agreed upon) if it fits your karma. I suspect most guys who fall for this are unaware of local prices, and/or believe a sad story (like medicine for her grandmother's cow who has an ingrown toenail, etc), and decide to help.
My first visit a few years ago I was one of those guys who grossly overpaid because I believed the story and didn't know going rates. I fell for the same play last night when I returned to Havana at 6pm to have a drink. My moniker still describes me.
On the one hand she played me with the deception and I bought it (literally). It seemed like a date with a college girl at first, but the deception started to wear thin in small ways. Ringside is a pretty cool bar. I have been in there a couple times. I would not exactly call the boxing matches sexy. Basically, they take girls from a few different bars (all have the same owner) such as Billboard, Bottoms, Shampoo, etc...and the girls will go 3 rounds. I think each round is 2 minutes. The rounds are not back 2 back and seperated by dancers who do their routines between rounds.
Some of the girls/boxers can be a little shy in the ring and don't go right at it. The announcer tends to goad them into the fighting. Manila – Second day (and last night)
The first night was glorious, with Susie and Jade. Had a late breakfast with jade after another morning session, great GFE and we had a nice time. Then I had to do some work…I know it does interfere with mongering but it does pay for it too.

After being in Makati for the week, CL and I finally met up with one another. CL is a very nice guy and I encourage anyone visiting the PI to send him a PM concerning places to stay and see during your visit. CL also educated me on some crazy monger related shit happening in China. I must say this thread is a much better read than it was two months ago, some very good reports and the sniping between people seems to have gone.
I wasn't going to post about my first visit to the Philippines in early May, as I hadn't gotten much out of this thread when I looked back then and I only followed the well beaten path...Really not a lot of need to come over-prepared with information for P. Burgos as it is shooting fish in a barrell. And all very hot fish too!
Both of my nights there were Sundays (outside Manila and not able to go hunting in between unfortunately). The first night was already quite late when I got there, but went up and down the street going in and out of a number of bars.
Ringside bar still had decorations outside as it had only opened the previous day. A cute gimmick but all of the girls inside were very average. Going by recent posts perhaps it has improved in the weeks since. Didn't see any boxing, just girls with enormous gloves on prancing around and sometimes giving each other a light tap in jest.
Was one of only about five customers in another bar around the corner, which I am sorry I cannot remember the name of (if someone can provide a bar map I will be able to tell you - sorry I have not RTFF to see if there already is one). It was also across Kalayan and the very last one of the bar strip. The interior featured a red curtain at the door, the stage to your left and soft red seating around the sides. A bit of a stunner but wanted to look around first so decided to leave after one drink. Kept the thought of going back for her in the back of my mind but never got around to it! It was so nice to roll into a city which I used to lived in for two over years and after a break of 1 year! It is even nicer to find that the mongering places and gimicks places are still there. But there are quite a lot of changes in term of quality of girls and prices.

I recently stayed at the Fraser Place Serviced Residences, Forbes Tower, Salcedo Village in Makati.
Booking:
Booked and prepaid through internet travel agency for a double room, double occupancy, breakfast, taxes, one parking space etc. included. Costs: 150 USD/night, less than Fraser offered when negotiating with them directly.
Arrival:
Most taxis do not know the place as it is rather new and most guests living at Fraser use private transportation. However, Fraser Place is easily accessible, being close to Citibank and Pacific Star Building.
Check-In:
Quick and smooth as everything was prepared, very friendly staff. Each resident receives a card which grants access to public areas (every floor is secured) and only one’s own floor.
Room:
The apartment (see pictures) was located on a private, high-level floor. Fraser Place has a separate maintenance/service elevator and also staff staircase. The double bedroom apartment was about 230sqm, beating any hotel room; large dining area, fully-stocked kitchen, comfy living room with TV, DVD and so on. The master bedroom (girl on the pic not included) had a nice kind-size bed and working desk with broadband internet. The second bedroom was equipped with twin beds and an own shower/toilet. The master bathroom offered a multi-point shower and a large bath-tub for two in addition to a cabinet with safe as well as a staircase to the public pool. The apartment also had features, such as separate air conditioning control for each room and a TV monitor for the door.
Breakfast:
The lounge is located on the same floor as the public pool and terrace. Breakfast offering and quality was average but the staff was very attentive.
Business Center
Apparently there is one, but I haven’t been there.
Services:
Great. Regardless of requests ranging from technical assistance to special laundry service, qualified and friendly staff showed up within minutes – much better than in most 5-star 600 rooms hotel. The room was everyday meticulously cleaned, also at times when I left the room late afternoon. Guest relationship officers are always around, taking care of any concerns one might have. As in any property, security is important and the guards do not just pretend but actually check every person and in particular car entering the premises.
Pool:
Not as big as in a hotel but large enough to have fun and relax after a hot day out in the city. There is also a secluded public Jacuzzi for more private relaxation.
Gym:
Apparently there is one, but I haven’t been there.
Restaurants:
I have ordered room service. The food presentation was nice, the food good but very western-style, likely due to the clientele of Fraser Place.
Location:
Forbes Tower on Valero Street, Salcedo Village, Makati. Salecdo Village is a rather quiet non-gated community within Makati. One can walk (not stroll) to Glorietta within about 15 minutes following the new overpass from HSBC Tower – but well, who is walking in Manila anyway. Apparently, many new coffee shops, bars and restaurants have opened in Salcedo Village, making it more populated and also in my perception safer in the evening. Burgos Street is about 5 minutes away, depending on how quick you can safely cross Buendia.
Girlfriendliness:
I had a guest for most of my stay there and I have not experienced any hassle. Guests usually have to register which makes sense for your own security. I also received a call from the front desk whenever my guest was leaving. Most of the residents at Fraser Place are long-term expats with their families but I hardly saw anybody else during my visit. I can imagine that Fraser Place would not appreciate guests misbehaving and bringing back loud and noisy bargirls. Just bring back quality girls to this quality place.
Overall rating:

However I remembered back than; daily rental was US$65/night including Buffet breakfast.
Linden Suites had been my home from 2000 - 2002. You can work out a special long term stay package with them based on Monthly or Weekly rental.
This hotel is at the border of Pasig City and Madaluyong City with San Migual as the border. It is on the Pasig city side. If your room face North you can view the Ortigas Center and Shangri-La plaza. Lots of Shopping, Food, and never run of things to do around there. (Of course Gimike - Bars) All of these are walking distance.

In terms of GF friendly, the staff of the hotel are extremely professionals. Although I have many GF while I was staying there, the staff never fails to turn away when they see me coming with anyone of my GFs. But if my GF leaves before daylight, they never fail to call me at my phone to check that whether everything's OK.
Also, I managed to nail a couple of the front desk cuties, but only did that after they had resigned from the working in the hotel. Normally when they tell me that they are leaving... I will date them out of a dinner. However, I nail them of course not at Linden Suites. We will check into somewhere else.

I'm pretty sure that one can get a better deal for a period of one month or more as is the case with any serviced residence. Fraser Place asked for about 20 dollars more when I directly inquired and they would not lower the price even though I told them that I then would book through a travel agency. I booked through asiatravel.
I personally also think that price/quality is right as I have been to most serviced residences in Makati, ranging from Oakwood and Stamford Court to BSA, PP II, and even to Asia Mansion. There are lower-priced places but room and service quality IMHO also dramatically decreases.
Note: You might not be able to book a one bedroom apartment through a travel agency or at short notice because these apartments are in high demand.

Stayed at the PPII last year. Don't remember exactly, but paid somewhere between $35-$40 per night. If you are there, I think you can negotiate a better rate depending on occupency. Was with a friend, so can't comment on local action for this board. It is very (maybe too convenient) to the shopping.

i wasn't going to post about my first visit to the philippines in early may, as i hadn't gotten much out of this thread when i looked back then and i only followed the well beaten path...really not a lot of need to come over-prepared with information for p. burgos as it is shooting fish in a barrell. and all very hot fish too!
both of my nights there were sundays (outside manila and not able to go hunting in between unfortunately). the first night was already quite late when i got there, but went up and down the street going in and out of a number of bars.
ringside bar still had decorations outside as it had only opened the previous day. a cute gimmick but all of the girls inside were very average. going by recent posts perhaps it has improved in the weeks since. didn't see any boxing, just girls with enormous gloves on prancing around and sometimes giving each other a light tap in jest.
was one of only about five customers in another bar around the corner, which i am sorry i cannot remember the name of (if someone can provide a bar map i will be able to tell you - sorry i have not rtff to see if there already is one). it was also across kalayan and the very last one of the bar strip. the interior featured a red curtain at the door, the stage to your left and soft red seating around the sides. was quickly approached by about five girls who crowded around but focused my attention on one dancer who called herself "china". might have been half chinese by the look of her. a bit of a stunner but wanted to look around first so decided to leave after one drink. kept the thought of going back for her in the back of my mind but never got around to it! bar fine was quoted at 3,000 (this was the quoted price everywhere in this area, presume you can negotiate on a quiet night). a good place if you want to pick up a hottie in a hurry.
eventually picked up another babe at bottoms. i thought the talent was of mixed quality, but this one was honestly the hottest girl i have ever been with. incredibly sexy eyes and a killer body. also very passionate once had left the bar. had a quick meal in the 24 hour diner next door, and then back to the hotel (city garden). however...was in the last day of red tide, which was off-putting, so i definitely recommending asking about this before taking out!
was back in the area one week later, and thought i would check out robinsons mall area in manila. it was still only 4pm in the afternoon however, so not a lot happening. la cafe had one girl on stage being body painted, but take-out opportunities were not up to scratch at that time of day. same for the other bars in the area. was told that the nicer girls start turning up at 6pm. definite opportunities to meet gf's in the mall, but was leaving the philippines the next morning, so no time to invest. therefore went back to makati and the same bar described earlier. it was still just after 5pm once i got back, and only one girl there (no sign of "china", who i would have picked up). however girl that was dancing was another stunner, so took her on the spot. was told all the other girls turn up at 8pm. she wanted to be fed first (which i would normally do), but was in a hurry, so it was straight back to the hotel. was a bit disappointed to find that she was not very comfortable, rather was just going to do her job (as she put it). i offered to take her back & no tip of course, but she said she would rather stay. however once we got into it, she was dynamite! basically a crap attitude when we were not at it, but an incredible amount of energy when we were!
two nights in the philippines were definitely not enough. there are not exactly a shortage of opportunities in shanghai (where i am based), but oh how i miss the philippines!

I stayed there a few times. Its g/f, clean, and they have internet service. Don't bother getting the breakfast, its not worth it.

Great Eastern Hotel on Makati Avenue, Cnr Guanzon St; 3 Star, good rooms, bfast for 2, girl friendly and all else within walking distance for only PHP1,600 per night. Now that's a bargain!
