Most importantly this club is only open 2-3 days per week (I think Wednesday, Fri and Sat). So make sure you find out which days. It does not get going until very late...If I remember right not until midnight?.

Yup, 12 midnight is when it starts getting crowded. Only opens on Fri, Sat , and Wednesday. Wed is ladys night. Club opens around 9pm.


Finally, it is a good club but no better than an average club in any major western city. My opinion is there is no reason to go this club where there are very few women looking for foreigners when there are literally hundreds of girls fighting over you everwhere else. 1) Executive Plaza - Its good value for the money. Hotel location is A+. Very GF. When my friend checked into this Hotel and reached his room he got a phone call. 2) Dress code - Business casual is good but I always wear jeans. I recommend you carry a good brand perfume like Polo or Nautica. If you apply the same perfume every time, it becomes your "signature". Girls always like guys who smell good.

3) Pimp or agent - once when I was walking from Executive Plaza to LA Cafe a Pimp stopped me. I was not interested so I kept walking. The next day he saw me again and started following me. The nice thing about Makati unlike Manila is Makati is smoke free. I am not trying to get into a pro/con debate on smoking. I personally don't go to smoking establishments. Cafe Havana even outside is pretty stank with smoking including a lot of cigars.

Conways in the Shangrala has no smoking since it is an high end hotel (the girls are too damn pricy and most of them ancient and again 45+).

Hard Rock has a smoking area you can avoid but the girls tend to hang there (they tend to be OLD 45+ and cater to the really old expat crowd).

All the bars on P Borgs allow smoking. As a bar owner said to me "if some drunk wants to throw away hundreds of dollars on drinks and girls he is more than welcome to smoke. "

I have to agree with you Mandiri, it is a totally different crowd. La Cafe reminds me of the "old wild wild west". Out there in a smokey saloon drinking it up with skanky girls. I found a web site called Chikka.com (hopefully that is allowed by Jackson) for sending and receiving text messages. I use it to send to my girl in the PI all the time. When she replies to me, it only costs her 2 Pesos. This is a great savings for her (and me) compared to a text to my Korean phone normally costs her 15 Pesos. Of course, being in Korea, I cannot receive her Chikka texts on my phone without it costing much more. I have to be near an Internet connected computer to utilize the Chikka service. But I believe in the rest of Asia (which seems to not be as technologically backward as Korea) the messages can be cheaply relayed to the cell phone. It's not perfect, but it's something you might want to check into if you want your girls to be able to reach out and touch you without having to pay and arm and a leg for it.

TGAMNo problem as there are many choices. You can always ask your girl, as they all know them. The easiest is the hotel at Amazonia, accross the street and one block down towards Padre Fawer. Go into the Amazonia bar and back towards the right, you will see stairs. Go up two flights to the check in desk. In a pinch they sell condoms too.

They have short term with air con for about P600 and with fan only for P400.

They also do over night, I think it is P1, 400, but I have not tried and may be the same spartan rooms.

There is also a Sogo not so far away, the girls will know it.

Agree with BrownRail, Amazonia is the absolute closest, but very... economical. Best thing when you are hot and heavy in need of release. Sogo is much nicer, but on weekends is very busy and probably have to wait. By noon on Saturday or Sunday, there is a whole couples seating area for you to wait with all the other horny kids. If it is the first time to Sogo, ask for the discount card.

I think I understand some of your tastes from our exchanges on the Singapore board about 18 months or so ago. In my view, you will love La Havana Makati (Makati Greenbelt 3) -- pretty high-end people, feeling of the 'hunt', a mix of regular girls and FL's etc. LA Cafe etc are very very low end pick-up joints, I went there once, as soon as I stepped in I stepped out, it was a ghastly experience. I am here on business and I have to say meetings get in the way - LOL.Let me begin by saying that I am a big fan of LA Café, and I think that the guys who talk about the quality of girls there being low somehow are not seeing the place. Maybe they are overwhelmed or intimidated, or maybe hit it at a bad time. Though I did not now that there was a bad time. And did not hang around or explore long enough. For at LA, there is something for everyone.

I have been going years and still enjoy it. The first time I went, some years ago, I was still terrified of walking the streets of Ermita at night. My friends who knew better told me how dangerous, avoid it (a bit like Tondo now, but that is another story). I would lock the taxi doors as I drove though (come to think of it I still do). I was used to buying drinks in the safety of P Burgos happy in the knowledge that my P3, 500 bar fine and P2, 000 tip bought me physical safety, a working license with medical checkup (ya right) and the highest "quality" girl. How naive I was.

But I always felt like there should be more to the experience. More adrenalin, a more feral experience, no rules, no limits, anything goes. And I did not want to just find a girl and fuck. I wanted a night out. I started in Malate, walked Adriatico then I found Ermita Now I fear nothing. And those guys who told me to stay away, they now ask to join.

Seriously how can you describe a trip to LA Café night? It is about eight experiences in one:

During the day you can always go, even mornings, hang at the bar or play pool – beginners welcome. Join the girls at a table. Meet another punter at the bar. You can get laid with no effort and cheaply or just hang out. The food is passable. Afternoon baked goods are great.

Later in the evening downstairs gets really crowded and smoky. You can still play pool in the main room, but the [small time] hustlers come, and even the girls playing get sharper. Still there are lots of cute girls and some stunners mixed in. There are also some really past there sell-by date or in the wrong business. These are the ones who will come up to you first. Be nice and keep walking. No problem.

If it gets too crowded you can move to the back room. The pool table is dominated by cute young girls. They are happy to play and sometimes beat you, happier still if you take them home. Just smile and a cutie will say Hi.

In the evening upstairs opens, and stays open to the wee hours. The bands there range from ok to quite good, mostly rock and roll. Freddy Angular plays a few times a month (but more often down the street at Hobbit House). But they are among the best rock and roll bands in Manila (which has the best in Asia). For some reason the other bars all seem to be moving toward show tunes and Abba. Which I am not into. Even Cowboy Grill, with its Marlboro Men, once the temple of rock and roll, has recently allowed Barry Manalow tunes to be heard. A shame really). It costs P100 to go upstairs, P150 on weekends when the bands seem to be the best. The girls upstairs seem to be a bit higher quality as they too have to pay the cover. But the same girls also circulate down stairs, just mixed in. In the back there are two further pool tables. Frequently you will find girls hanging out back there looking for someone to "play" with.

If you head over to the other side, and watch the uneven floor as you pass, there are all these young looking girls hanging out. They give me funny looks but never seem too interested. One day I will stop to ask. To your left on the other side of the long bar is another pool table. This one tends to be taken by the hour rather than by challenge, but not always. To your right are lots of tables. Some have just girls. Some have just Asian guys (Korean? Japanese? ). Some have both. Past this is another pool table, usually girls playing the Asian guys. Past this, hidden in the corner is another more private pool table. Why this whole area seems to belong to Asian guys is a mystery.

So, as I see it, first floor front room girls are all types and aggressive. In the back room younger girls and more passive. Upstairs near the band better looking slightly more experienced. In the middle of the room and on the other side from the band, seems girls looking for Asian Men. Or maybe I have it all wrong.

The costs of the girls should be P1, 000 short time and days, P500 if you are tight or bottom fishing and P1, 500 all night. Often I will hear girls ask for P2, 000 or even P3, 000, but they are taking a flyer. Better to offer P1, 500, walk away if she says no, she will come back, then tip her if she is great.

Other observations:

It seems to me that the prices of drinks has gone up quite a bit recently. It would not be unusual now to pay P200 for a mixed drink. I don’t remember that before.

There does seem to be some divide between the western men and the Asian men. The middle eastern men cross all sides. And the girls seem to specialize. I guess it is a language thing.

Upstairs toilets don’t have running water. The bucket it in, so it is a bit weird. You have to wonder how clean those hot towels are.

Oh, I almost forgot. The reason I started to write, the quality of the girls in LA versus elsewhere. I have been exploring manila, and elsewhere in the Philippines, for quite a few years (decades? ) now. Locally I have enjoyed Burgos, the hotel bars, Jupiter, Gloretta, Roxas Blvd, Edsa Entertainment, Malate, Ermita, Greenbelt, Paranaque, etc. I have even had local friends bring me to QC (though I still don’t get QC). The quality of the girls is higher in some places and lower in others, but all working girls end up at LA Café at some point. I have spent too much money on drinks in the Burgos bars, then later gone to LA later and seen the same girls. I have hung out at Café Havana in Greenbelt and then gone later to LA, same girls. Hell I have spent next to nothing on girls in Puerto Gallera, Subic City and Angeles, and then met the same girls at LA. Basically if a girl is working and smart, she figures out LA Café. So if she does not score where she works, she will on occasion end head off to LA. (The only exceptions are the girls who are really just out for a good time, not working. You won’t find them at LA, but might in the hotels, Jupiter, Malate, etc.)

So if someone tells you he prefers higher end bars, because the girls are different, he either has not look well enough at LA or is not paying attention. On any Saturday night 500 girls must pass through. If you can’t pull your GFE there you are not really trying.

They're the only ones I've ever seen in the area who are obviously available and eager to connect. Welcome to the board first off. You may not know better but it's not usually recommended for anyone to just come in on a thread and post questions that have been answered or talked about numerously already. You definitely came to a great message board so you are in the right place. Below this post is a ton of information that will definitely be of help to you. Pages and pages really. As you got here on your own before you clicked on the Manila thread there is also a hotels thread here in the Philippines section for Manila Hotels. If you didn't know, Ermita is really part of Manila. There are lots of other threads that might interest you like Makati, General Info, and Angeles City that might be of interest to you. Phoenix One is on the third floor of Roman Suites. Once you get into the hotel, walk up the stairs directly across from the front desk. Once you are on the second floor, look to your left and their is another set of stairs that will take you up to the third floor. The price is 1200p before 6pm and 1400p after 6pm for the room. The price for the girl is 1500p but sometimes they will ask for a little more. I usually just give 1500p afterwards without asking how much and haven't had any complaints. There usually are more girls after 5pm but I have always gone in the afternoon because I'm usually at EDSA or LA Cafe at night.

What will you be doing in Lipa? That looks a bit off the beaten path. You will be a bit far for a casual run to manila, maybe two hours dive depending on traffic. You can head up there for the weekend and stay in a cheap hotel P1-2, 000, if that is your budget.

If you want to really monger I suspect you will need to go to one of the bigger cities. Closest to you will be Manila. There are also some very rustic (and cheap) places I have been to in Batangas City. For a weekend you can go through there to Puerto Galera.

Else you are left to ferret about in the provinces. As a foreigner you will be very popular. But most provincial girls, when they are in the province, are quite shy and traditional. You will probably see a hesitation to be seen with you, especially alone. They may agree to meet, but will bring friends and relatives. This will last for a while till she gets comfortable or until you propose. Make friends with the local guys you work with, and get them to take you out.

Another good idea is to go on one of the dating sights and look for girls in your area. Filipinaheart is one the girls tell me they like. I have never tried it but it would be a good idea to get going on lining up local dates. Else it could be a long month.

So I have not bothered. Some are passed their sell-by date, but all dressed up.

if it were my first trip, had two weeks, and i was not afraid, i would start in manila, three nights, then go to subic for 3-4 days, then angeles for 3-4 days. then back to manila for two. there are not good roads between them. it is about 2. 5 hours manila-subic, less than an hour subic-angeles and about 1. 5 hours back to manila. bring viagra, or buy along the way for about p200/box, and lots of your favorite condoms, you will need them.

next time you can expand to cebu, puerto galera, bahol, bicol, boracay. on and on. these require flights and more planing.

You can buy V and C in about any quantity you want for Php200 per box of four anywhere on Burgos St. I've never paid more. It takes about 30 seconds of haggling and there are vendors all over the place.

100 Peso's a box can be easily had if you haggle. I get them for that price all the time when I'm there. Just give the guy your mobile number and promise him you'll by 5-10 more boxes before you leave town (he'll messege you to death to remind you). If he doesn't go for it, just wait for the next guy to approach you.

This is a discussion that's recurred many times on this forum with no conclusive answer. As always, there are pluses and minuses on both sides. The biggest pluses in the PI from my point of view are that first, the girls speak English; not perfect English but enough to communicate. Second, the whole experience is somehow less nakedly commercial and more girlfriend-like, and a bit more amateurish than in Thailand. It's probably much easier to approach and to succeed with non-pros in the Philippines than in Bangkok and, probably because everyone speaks English to some extent, and almost everyone harbors a dream of going to the West, the Filipinos are, if not more gracious then easier to get to know than the Thais.

If I had the choice of where to live, I would pick Bangkok over Manila hands down, but not because of the sex scenes.

I was lucky. Just because you count does not mean you will always win. With counting and correct betting scheme you have a approximatelly a 1% percent advantage over the casino. On average out of 5 sessions you will be a winner 3 times. The big advantage to counting is the longer play the greater the likelihood of winning. Finally some mercy for visitors to Manila. The airport has finally established a proper meter taxi service, offering a cost-effective alternative to the hotel limosines and overpriced coupon taxis. Instead of having to beg your way past security to get up to the departure area to flag a taxi dropping off, there is now a convenient taxi queue just outside of customs (see pic).

I used this service on my last visit to Manila and it worked brilliantly. Just go to the queue and tell the clerk where you are going. He will give you a taxi slip (see pic) and hand you off to a driver, ensuring he knows where you are going. The taxis are spacious, clean and new, which means that the aircon will be blowing nicely for your ride into town. The flag down rate is slightly above the shitty regular meter taxis, but shouldn't be more than a couple dollars extra to the center of town (e.g. Makati). Against the hotel limos and coupon taxis, the savings are well over 50% with not much difference in the quality of the ride. It is by far the best option for getting into town. The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) on Wednesday started mobilizing 100 units of brand-new sedans as metered taxis at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminals 1 and 2.

"We have been wanting to give a new alternative transport system at the NAIA. We are therefore proud to have initiated and spearheaded this new service that we are offering primarily to passengers and airport users. Now they have a cheaper but safe mode of transportation," said MIAA general manager Alfonso Cusi.

Cusi said the metered taxi will implement a P70 flag down rate for the first 500 meters and additional P4 for every succeeding 300 meters.

The flag down rate is higher than the P30 flag down for regular cabs operating in Metro Manila. Cusi said they expect the metered airport taxis to be lower in fares than the P1,200 normally charged by current taxi coupon service for passengers who are going to the northern part of Metro Manila.

"For the further protection of users, the taxi meter units are equipped with the receipt dispensing feature. Dispatch slips will be issued to them indicating the plate number of the taxi unit, breakdown of the tariff as approved by the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and contact numbers that they can reach to report any act of abuse or discourtesy," Cusi said.

Taxi companies as well as their drivers have been accredited by MIAA and the Department of Tourism. The drivers, Cusi said, have undergone the DOT’s "Mabuhay Host Program" or the LTFRB’s "Drivers Training Program."

All taxi units are equipped with two-way radios and a top light with the signage "Airport Taxi". It will be exclusively for airport operations to and from the NAIA terminals.

MIAA is expected to deploy around 300 metered taxi units in the coming months and will operate within the Mega Manila (provinces of Cavite, Rizal, Bulacan and Laguna)

"We appeal to our dear passengers to always take airport accredited transport for their own protection. The average fare difference of the tourist metered taxi from that of the regular metered taxi may be a little higher but the benefit to the users far outweighs the cost that will be incurred by making it as an alternative," Cusi said.

The first thing I ask a taxi driver is do you have a meter? Also, if he doesn't turn it on, remind him because some of these metered taxi will try to quote you a fixed price.

You walk straight from the "Hotel/Transportation" office, on right side walking out of arrival gate, and cross the first lane and you will see the booth on the sidewalk. They have a price list for each area and my last trip it was 330P to Makati. I always use this service, no meter and driver will not take his time getting to the hotel.

Im usually one of first off economy, usually no immgration line at that time, have no checked baggage to collect, 15 secs to get in a yellow cab, and usually Im in my condo in Global city within 20- 25 mins from plane landing. Even faster than Singapore airport when you have no checked in baggage.

Terminal 2 is the same as any other. Just start walking with the flow of traffic (to the right) and you'll never get more than 100 meters from the terminal before an empty taxi who just dropped his passenger will proposition you. He cannot stop long to bargain, so just offer meter and as soon as he says OK throw your gear in the back seat and off you go.

You will not get the slip of paper with drivers license number but you yourself can jot it down once in the taxi. Get DRIVERS name from his ID, not just cab #. Taxis lose their permit if they get several complaints so just stick to the agreement if they whine about traffic etc and a tip. Better not to even discuss it again until you and your gear are out of the taxi.

I spend a lot of time using taxi's in Manila (and elsewhere).

In my experience the yellow meter taxi's are costing me MORE on average to get from the airport to a hotel compared to the usual method of haggling a fixed price in a conventional street taxi. The last yellow meter cab I caught, there was a loonngg queue to stand in with much waiting, the driver sat in the car & left me to drag my luggage in to the back seat with me & the GF. The seating in the back of a Toyota sedan is small to start with, worse with baggage. The cab meandered around all over the the bloody place until I scolded him in Tagalog & told him I knew we were so stop stuffing about & go where we asked him to. My GF chimed in, he played the dumb newbie cabbie so we both told him directions very clearly where to go.. meanwhile the meter was ticking away...

Street taxi's I negotiate the fare & off we go. No need to keep an eye on which route the driver is taking.

Since often I have a girl in tow & luggage. Many times I prefer a nice comfortable roomy 'coupon taxi' people mover, no waiting, just pay & get in. These guys take care of your bags & let you get on with the important business of checking the various body cavities of your girl of moment while taking a leisurely drive to the hotel. The driver will take the best route based on traffic conditions & there is no pressure to watch where he is going because the fare is already paid.

If you are new to Manila it is harder because you don't know how much the fare should be & that is understandable. Bringing a chick with you is often not much help because a lot of these chicks from internet dating sites (for example) are from the province & live in a very small world of their local Manila barangay. Like all asians, to save face, they will act as if they know where they are going but dont count on it. Get yourself a Citymap street atlas from National Bookstore (p350?) & find your own way around yourself.

For anyone who is even a little familiar with Manila I have found you can do better MOST TIMES avoiding the Yellow meter taxi's at NAIA.

One poster commented that they cost more than regular metered taxis. It is true but it's not that bad at all. It's convenient and it's right there when you leave the terminal. Just go for it if it's not a long wait and especially if you are kind of new. Trying to find a regular metered taxi will take a little work on your part and is probably not worth it to save on the pesos. It's definitely cheaper than taking those overpriced fixed cabs.

One more note on those yellow cabs, they usually only go one way with their fares from my understanding. They only usually take passengers from airport to another destination and not people to the airport. They aren't like regular metered taxis that will pick you up on the street, so for those guys to make money they need to get back to the airport to get another fare so they loose travel time depending on how far just to get back in line to get another fare.

For newbies also, the regular metered taxis aren't supposed to pickup passengers at the airport for some reason. They are only supposed to drop off. Just the opposite of the yellow ones. Go figure. That's part of the reason of the mess with getting transportation from the airport.

I know it's not easy getting a regular meter, but there are ways. In the international terminal don't know number, I used to just walk down to the side where they exited and not up to the departure section to flag one down. They never tried to negotiate a fare and just turned on meter. Some people have too many bags to do it and I understand that. I'm not sure how the new terminal works for the metered taxis dropping off there as I've flown in twice there and never had a problem getting a yellow, but I'm sure I'd figure out how to get the metered taxis otherwise. I don't have more than a backpack and a rolling suitcase though.

In regards to some people who say what the hell on paying this and that by taking a price 4 x the cost of a metered, and then complain about 30-40 pesos later on other things, I don't know. No matter what people are going to have different views on the taxis. The whole debacle is all jacked up more from the governing body of the airports making it so difficult to get a legitimate value oriented transportation for the masses until recently with the yellow cabs. The locals can't be paying 400 plus pesos so easily for a 100 pesos ride all the time.

I just arrived from my businestrip to Europe and I used the yellow airport taxis outside Terminal 1. They cost a bit more, but they are new and clean and they sureley will go the fastest (mach 3) way to your destination, because as one member mentioned here allready, they wont take any passengers back to the airport.

Of course you can also walk after a 24 hours long flight to your hotel, but I guess if you allready on a budget arriving at the airport and haggling about 3 Dollars more to pay for a comfortable save and clean ride then I would suggest stay at home, watch porn movies or read stories from ISG members who really went there :D

I just returned from a 3 day quickie trip to Manila and thought I’d toss out my two cents about meeting women from internet websites, as well as picking up freelancers.

For a guy who likes picking up freelancers and is on a limited budget, I have found the most convenient place to stay in Manila is the Cherry Blossoms hotel, where the price for a large Deluxe room was around 2200 pesos ($45). The hotel offers a reasonably good free morning breakfast, and my room furnishings were dated but clean. I never saw any bugs, and the sheets and towels were not too dingy and were unstained.

It’s definitely not the Ritz Carlton, but it does have its advantages. First of all, it’s less than 100 yards from the Robinsons Mall, where there’s some relatively good restaurants and also cinemas during the times you get bored. Previous experience taught me that inviting your short-term conquest to go eat dinner at the mall, along with an invite to watch a movie is a darned good incentive for your short-term partner to become a long-term overnight stay for no extra money. There are also freelancers who operate there, and it’s nice to sit and chat with them over a cup of coffee while you negotiate the "deal".

Also, it’s just a couple of blocks away from the LA Café, which in my estimation is the best place in Manila to chat up and party with lots of fun gals without going broke in the process. There are no bar fines, no mama sans trying to extract drinks, and no huge premium for "ladies drinks".

I love Wan Chai in Hong Kong as much as the next guy, but a night there will put you in the poor house pretty quickly. The quality of the gals at the LA Café isn’t nearly as good as the Pinays in HK, but it’s good enough for me.

The LA Café isn’t for everyone, but if you’re a party guy like me you’ll have a great time. Just buy a tankard of beer and set it on the table. Have the waitress bring lots of glasses and trust me, you’ll have plenty of new friends who will rub up on you and do their best to get you to select them to be your conquest d‘jour.

I’ll admit that 80% of the women in there are not my cup of tea. But of the 100 or so women hanging out in the lower part of the café, you’re bound to find a handful that meet your specifications. I won’t bore you all with a rehashing of what I found at the café, since it’s been well documented in other postings here. I was talking to a couple of Yanks one night and prices are holding steady at 1500 Pesos short time and 2000 long time, and my offer of 1500 was readily accepted.

Don’t ever ever ever ask these gals "how much do you want? ". They will always come back with some ridiculous amount, like 3000 pesos. So just take the initiative and offer her what I suggested, and I rather doubt you will be rejected. It’s a buyer’s market, guys!

Before any of you flog me for offering too much money, 1500 pesos is only around $30. Trust me, holding out for 1200 saves you a whopping 300 pesos, or $6. And what gal is going to give you any sort of "girl friend" experience if you haggle her down too far?

Ok, enough of the mundane details, on to the women! On this trip I bedded 3 gals. One was from the LA Café, one was a freelancer at the Robinson’s Mall, and one was a longtime chat-mate from blossoms.com (marriage-minded website).

The internet gal was 36 years old, originally from GenSan but now working in Manila at a small independent local clothing store with her sister. Probably a 6 on the looks scale. Somewhat pretty face, long hair, petite body with absolutely no fat. She showed up wearing black knee-length tights with lots of lace on the hems, with a long dress-like spaghetti strap top and wearing 2 ½ inch black sandal heels. I’m sure you perfectionists would have turned your noses up at her, but meeting her was more about having someone to talk to rather than simply having a sex conquest. After a week of being in Bangkok with single-word-sentence speaking Thai women, I was really looking forward to chatting with someone who could speak good English.

I had told her prior to my visit that I was just coming for a short stay, and was not looking for marriage at this time. But we had been casual chat mates at the website and later at the Yahoo Messenger, so she agreed to meet me as a friend.

I arrived on a Wednesday night and we met up on Thursday morning. I’ve met other women from this website on previous trips, and my encounter with Malou went along very similar to those.

She came to my hotel at 11 AM, and we engaged in a small amount of chit-chat. I had brought some candy bars from the USA (I find the large $1. 50 license-plate sized Hershey variety candy bars travel well and make a well-received gift). I gave her 4 of them and she was very happy. Yeah, I know I’m a big spender, LOL. But you have to remember that 90% or more of the women in the Phils are very poor, so even small gifts are really appreciated.

I then suggested going to the mall to go walking around, which of course she readily agreed to. We left the candy bars in the hotel room (gents, always leave the gifts in the room, so she has to come back up there with you, haha). It was lunch time, so I asked her where she wanted to eat. Of course she said, "it’s up to you". I’ve never had a pinay ever tell me what type of food she was hungry for. For most of them, it’s a treat just to go out to eat at any sit-down restaurant for a free meal.

Manila really is a shit-hole of a city, but one thing it does have going for it is a pretty darned good pizza chain. It’s called "Yellow Cab Pizza" and it can be found in just about all of the major malls. I suggested we go there, and we shared a small pizza. Since she was very petite (4’ 10" and 90 pounds) she only ate one slice, which left me to eat the other 7 slices. Thank God all that cheese didn’t leave me bloated and blocked, haha.

After the pizza, we went up to the top level and played bingo. Yes, bingo! She had never played and was interested in learning how. We spent about an hour there and wasted about $10 in non-winning cards. But she had a really great time, and as we left the bingo hall she reached out and grabbed my hand as we strolled through the mall back to the hotel.

My vanity leads me to believe that it’s my great looks and charm that gets Cherry Blossoms women into bed so easily on the first date, haha. But I really do think that playing bingo is the key. Whether I’m in Manila, Cebu, or Davao. . Bingo before bed always works like a charm.

So we walked the 100 yards back to the hotel, and of course she had to come up and retrieve those candy bars. What happened next was predictable. . Within 2 minutes of entering the room we’re both groping each other like teenagers, and within 10 minutes I’m going to my overnight bag for a condom.

She then proceeded to drain me dry over the next 18 hours or so. Joe turned on the faucet 4 times, which is quite a lot for this 47 year old fart. My dick was sore from friction by the next morning and I had used up 8 condoms. She was simply insatiable. I can’t say I was sorry to see her go. She had to start packing because she was leaving MNL the next day to fly to GenSan for the holidays. Yes, she was heading home for a two month vacation. Man I wish my boss would be so accommodating!

She was living in Quezon City, which is quite a long haul from Malate. So I gave her 500 pesos to compensate her for the transportation fare to and from my hotel. Of course I lied to her and said I really hoped we could meet up again someday in the future. I think that’s what gets these women to "open up" to us so readily. . The hope that some guy from overseas will fall in love with her and whisk her away from her dreary and mundane life. As long as the Phils remains a poverty-stricken nation, there will always be willing prospects at the internet dating websites.

One other piece of advice about internet dating websites: I read somewhere that 25% of the women at any internet website normally get 75% of the mails from men. Sooooo, if you want to maximize your chances of getting a "sure thing", then concentrate on the other 75%. There are some really fine looking ladies out there between the ages of 30 to 38, and all 10 of the blossoms ladies I’ve met in person have found their way to my hotel room by at least the second date. Plus I’ve found the older ones don’t ask for "Sponsorship" (which is a fancy word for financial support). I try to stick with ones who work in white collar professions, like teachers or government employees.

I never tell the women I am traveling to the Phils to look for marriage. Instead, I say I am going there as a tourist. Telling them you are heading to Corregidor Island for a visit is very convincing, because they realize how historical of a place it is. I also say that I am checking out the Phils because I am considering moving there when I retire from work in about 5 to 10 years. Of course if I met a woman there who really knocked my socks off, I would certainly consider marriage. But I always let them know I am not actively seeking right now, but instead am looking for friends. And I remind them that who knows what the future will bring for she and I. It’s that glimmer of hope that will work in your favor, guys.

It’s located in a circular area near an escalator. On the right side of the escalator are a couple of coffee and pastry shops with tables and chairs in front. If you go during the middle of the afternoon, you will find a couple of gals sitting and giving you the eye. It’s also the area of the mall where a handful of women will be walking around slowly in their "hooker stroll". If you see one you like, give her "the eye" and wait for a willing response.

I spent a lot of time wandering around the upper level food courts but never had one contact. Even when I stood and looked over the rail at the lower levels, no one ever came up to me and initiated conversation.

To be honest, I’m not sure why someone would prefer freelancers at the mall over those at the LA Café. But I will admit the mall is a much quieter and cleaner environment, and it’s a nice place to chat. Plus the light is better than in the café, so you can get a better look at your prospect.

She asked for 1500 Pesos short time, but because I really wasn’t in the mood for anything, I decided to counter and offer 1000 P. I think her name was Jerilyn, or something like it. She is 21 years old, with one son. But her body was flawless, with no signs of motherhood anywhere. Nice and tight in ALL places. I don’t normally like women who are that thin, but she had a cute face and was dressed just the way I like’em.

For those of you who have heard that the Harrison Plaza is a good place to pick up freelancers, don’t bother! I took a jeepney there during a weekday afternoon and went up to the second floor to look around. Yes, there are women there, but I was disgusted at the quality of what I found. Guess you mean Figaro's coffee shop. I've noticed a couple of FL's there but they were pretty rough. You often see an amateur or two waiting near the National Book Store but you will have to make the first approach. Be careful though as it is a recognised meeting point for regular girls meeting their boyfriends/family. Another place to try is at McDonalds on the second floor/also near the cinema's on that floor.

You will often see regular LA Cafe girls trawling Robinsons for business. Gets them out of the smoky atmosphere of the LA Cafe, I guess.

Another good mall for picking up FL's is Harrison's Plaza, but a lot of the girls hanging out there are regular pro's.

I did know about Blue bird. Taxis in Jarkata use meters but in smaller cities like Bali and Surabaya there are not many around.

I once had a taxi driver in Bali tell me he will kill me if I don't paid him 10 usd for a short 15 min trip.

Like in Manila, only one out of three use meter.

Re Taxi's: It could be worse if you were at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The official airport taxis are Bht3000 to Pattaya where you can get other taxi/limos for no more than Bht1500. This is worse because it is the "official" ones that are trying to rip you off, and rip you off big time, not just a few dollars.

I will be heading to Manila on Jan 1 - Jan 3 from AC. Probably arrive via Swagmans. Then take a taxi to Makati.

I figured from reading the posts, Cafe Havana, Greenbelt3 is my best bet for quality. Can anyone recommend GF hotel in the US$80/night (+/-) range that is walking distance to Havana? What precentage of girls at Havana would be FL? Are they easy to spot? How do you spot FL at nearby malls?

I'm just there for a couple of days so I'm not planning to be too ambitious, if I don't get to scope LA Cafe, EDSA, Nana, I can always do that on another trip. I like to start small to get a feel for the place, maybe be a little more streetwise.

unlike la cafe, havana, and the starbucks next to it are "normal" places that are not exclusive to freelancers. however, there are lots of them hanging around both places and they're very easy to spot. just look for the girls sitting alone, or sometimes in pairs, and wait for some eye contact. a couple of times, when i wasn't really sure if a girl was in the business or not, i sent a drink to her table, and when she looked up and smiled and thanked me, i asked her to come on over. it's worked both times that i have tried it.

Check out Gspot bar. It only about 3 blocks from LA Cafe in Padre Faura
(between Mabini & Adriatico) in between LA Cafe and Robinsons mall. From LA walk out the doors and take a left a couple blocks. Or ask a cabby (not in front of LA Cafe though. Its called G Point. Much more of a respectable place. Just like an ordinary bar where you live but most of the girls are available. I always found many more and higher quality in LA Cafe. You jusgotta wait it out. Its always there at LA.

G Point is probably my favorite bar in the Ermita/Malate area, but it's pretty hit or miss for the ladies. I've been there on some nights when there were lots of stunners and on others when there was no one appealing to me at all. The food and ambiance are, in my opinion, much better than LA, though the crowd and the size are substantially smaller.

Another often overlooked bar, on which no one ever seems to comment is the LA Annex directly across the street from LA. It's rarely crowded, but if you're looking to escape the noise, the smoke, and the crowds, its a great place to sit, and girls do walk across the street and circulate through the place. Also, the waitresses are definitely available, though you might have to wait until the end of their shifts.

Amazonia has always been, for me, a complete and utter waste of time. I've never taken a girl from there and I've never run across anyone other than one of the bartenders who would rate above a 6.

Agree and disagree with GE about LA vs G Point.

I tend to bounce back and forth between the places depending on my mood.

LA is just too crowded and smokey in the evening. The upstairs can be fun at times. No one will belive me, but I pulled a regular girl out of 2nd floor. She had a job at a travel agency and it took me until the second date (a week later) to get her panties off. Guys brag about freebies here, but she got me a discount on my hotel so fuck off -- I saved money on that lay. Petite chick - the way I like them.

G point often has a smallish live band...sometime some hotties in the group. Sometimes some HAPPY SMILE girls come to dance and mingle. There are a lot of expat regulars in the bar and they are often happy to give some tips to newbies. Very nice atomosphere. GE says the food is better, but he doesn't say if the food is good. I made the mistake of ordering some kind of jumbo burrito/taco, whatever. It was pretty bad.

I also hit Amazon. I have no idea why Amazon puts such fugly women up on pedastles and let them dance. They used to have good music there too, but last few times there was only recorded music -- no band. I've seen some very attractive women working there -- but don't get your hopes up. My opinion isn't as negative as GE, but I have to admit that it's usually empty and I usually leave after one beer. Last time I checked, the same owner was running Paco Park Oasis Hotel.

Point taken X. The food is better, by which I meant that at least it's edible, which, in my opinion, the food from LA is not, but I certainly wouldn't rate it as high quality. And it's true, as X says, the Amazonia has to have the least attractive dancers I've ever seen in a bar. Even worse, they're dancing atop the same coolers where drinks are stored, and I'm sure a certain percentage of the dirt from the shoes makes it's way to to tops of the drinks and thence, once the drinks are opened, into the liquid. Very appealing.

Sunday Nov 9:

So I repaired to the bar to start serious work on that exercise.

Several SMP's later, after getting my ass kicked at billiards (again!), I was approached by a cute little spinner that I had taken once before and who had severely disappointed. Now my first rule of mingering is 'one chance, and one chance only'. If they prove a starfish, a clock watching waster, an out and out pro, a bolshy ***** or a nutjob, then put it down to experience and move on but never ever take her on again. But little head thinks rules are made to be broken. I told her that she had been a waste of time on our first encounter. re taxi's: it could be worse if you were at bangkok suvarnabhumi airport.

the official airport taxis are bht3000 to pattaya where you can get other taxi/limos for no more than bht1500. this is worse because it is the "official" ones that are trying to rip you off, and rip you off big time, not just a few dollars.

i will be heading to manila on jan 1 - jan 3 from ac. probably arrive via swagmans. then take a taxi to makati.

i figured from reading the posts, cafe havana, greenbelt3 is my best bet for quality. can anyone recommend gf hotel in the us$80/night (+/-) range that is walking distance to havana? what precentage of girls at havana would be fl? are they easy to spot? how do you spot fl at nearby malls?

at greenbelt i would guess that two thirds of the girls are working. they are not hard to spot. most people are in the tables outside. girls may approach you as you walk around nearby. when you get there you will see women seated at tables, all done up. if there are only girls at the table, they are working. inside there is a bar and band, few tables. the women at the bar are working too. if you see someone with her husband, she is not working. if you see a cutie hanging with her friends, and they are not attractive, she is probably not working either.

No X, I don't have any other names on ISG. I did change my handle about a year or so ago, to protect the innocent (namely myself) from the wrath of an ex-gf. But the initials remained the same. You might still be able to find some of my old posts, mostly in South Korea forums, under the handle of Hard Woody. (I'm not so worried about the wrath anymore.) :D

I didn't realize that my writing style was so similar to that of any other member here. I just type it as it stumbles out of the cracks in my head.

No X, I don't have any other names on ISG. I did change my handle about a year or so ago, to protect the innocent (namely myself) from the wrath of an ex-gf. But the initials remained the same. You might still be able to find some of my old posts, mostly in South Korea forums, under the handle of Hard Woody. (I'm not so worried about the wrath anymore.) :D

Because Thailand has been suggested to me often, to include while I was in PI mongering around, I do keep and eye on those forums as well. I do enjoy the fun they have throwing punches at each other. But it is apparent to even the casual lurker, that it is all good fun. You can see how each sarcastic comment is responded to with even more sarcasm. I have been tempted to jump in on a few conversations in the Thai boards. But I have never been there, and I feel that I would not be posting anything useful. One day, I will visit LOS and try to get a broad sample of what is available there. However, I am sure that Giotto with call me a "cheap Bestard" because I don't want to pay what he charges for a room at Livingstone's Lodge. :p

Yes, A, I well recall the problems you had with this annoying knobber. Ok. Another boring weekend in Manila. Arrived at 4pm Friday. Had been chatting to a lady in Friendster for over a year on and off. He told me his wife loved it and that I should try to get a Filipina to give it a try. And I did find a taker after a few "what the hell is that". After the first lady tried it she went crazy with it and the next time she came over to my house she brought a friend that wanted to try it, she also loved it. If you want a sure experience and you don't mind to spend a little, just go to Bandidos or Flamingo around the corner. They will have nice touchy girls. LA nowadays has the risk that you do not find anything you want to take home + taxi ride that can cost you some considerable time.

Other option EDSA, like Makati, more cheaper girls, but less attention in the bars.

If Im staying on Burgos for one night I personally would not waste time & money running all over town. Rather I would get a rest, a good meal & some vitamins (;)) and stroll down burgos into the clubs.

You will easily find sexy attractive women willing to come back to your room & ROCK YOUR WORLD. You're going to pay top dollar for it but what the hell? Better to get a relaxing happy lay than drive yourself nuts running all over town.

3 seconds research on this board will tell you which area of Manila is prominent for which style of activity. You want expensive freelancers? Stay in Malate. You want expensive pro's stay on Burgos. You want try your luck in EDSA scene, get a hotel near there.

I find nothing kills my ardour than a bad attitude by the provider or l-o-n-g expensive taxi rides back & forth to my hotel. When I get a honey from a club i like to keep the air of sexual attraction going & get them to my room reasonably quickly. Usually the longer you take to get them to your room the longer have to they to start pissing you off making phone calls & finding things to complain about...
