Stace,

1. Just tell them your an American. One sure thing is that you won't have that korean accent that most business men come with. Be firm on your price. Walk away if it souns too much. There are others who will take your offer.

2. Get a phone. As Firedick and genius8 said, its very affordable. Plus when your done with it, you can give it to one of the girls your visiting or someone else as a gift. Lots of brownie pints there. Second thing about phones here in the Philippines. It is mostly used for texting rather than talking.

As for saying your from a less wealthy country. If you grew up in the Philippines. Any country sounds weathier.

Scotsman,

She has a cute body, but I dont like her face. I wouldnt pay more than P1200 for her "services". I doubt that's her asking price since she obviously has an overvalued sense of her own self-worth. Or undervalued, if you look at it from an ethical standpoint. Either way, she better not be even an 8 in the eyes of the posters who have travelled often to Manila or I'm screwed.

trace,

anyone staying in pi for more than 3 days, i highly recommend them to visit angeles city. unlike manila or makati, you don't have to waste your time negotiating a damn thing; 1000piso and that is for lt. hotels, ld, food and just about everything else is cheaper.

just tell them you're korean. pi girls don't understand how an asian becomes an american and they probably think you are lying if you told them you were an american. i'm korean candian but gave up explaining to them. avoid korean or japanese karaoke bars as they can really peel you off.

in manila, don't mess around with ermita and makati. stick to edsa where girls ask for a little less. most will ask for 3000, but never to pay more than 2000. just ask taxi driver to get there.

around edsa area, within 5~10 minutes taxi ride, there are local bars with a band & dance floor. these places have awesome looking chics. some will go to your hotel and some won't, but it's cool to blend in with the local atmosphere for a change, and pi people can sing. again, just ask the cabbies.

Stace,

8 seems about right, nice but not noteworthy. You do need to keep in mind though that for some reason (IMHO) Filipinas are not the most photogenic girls in the world. I doubt that you will be disappointed in person. I have no idea who this chick thinks she is, but "overvalued" is an understatement.

Of note: The Philippines is the number one text messaging country in the world.

Hi George1951,

JayR's guide service of showing you the spots in the city to get girls from is basically his taxi's useage and his time.

I give him anywhere between 500-750($9-15) pesos at the end of a 2-5 hour night of scouring the city. It's always at your discretion what you tip, just be considerate.

He's a casual guide that's why alot of us WSG members prefer his company, he won't rush you, he won't push anyone at you that's his style- it's never business like, he's your friend.

Tell him what you're looking for and he will most likely take you to a spot where you can find her.

You can also order in, he'll load his taxi up with as many girls as he can muster and show them to you at your hotel or near it. You can always say no and he'll return with a new batch. Since they're from the 3k boarding houses/casas that's how much it costs.

Jay R entertains guests from the Americas, locally, the Mid East, mainland Asia, and everwhere else in the middle so he'll know where to find whatever floats your boat.

Enjoy

Travel to Monger,

If you want a short time sex hotel w/ jacuzzi and overhead mirrors its easy to find. To have fuck chairs is a little bit harder since there are very few left (if any) and definitely not in a jacuzzi room. These ST places are called MOTELS locally, and the biggest chains are ANITO and ViICTORIA COURT. Just get into any taxi and tell him you want the kind of room in ANITO or VC, and he will take you there. Upon arrival, tell the motel boy the kind of room you want. Jacuzzi rooms are the most expensive and can run you P1,000 and up.

STACE,

For me the filipina in the website is about a 6.5 in face and 7 in body. Total package I would rate a 7 because she has the slutty look. Although I did not see her price, what I read in the website shows someone who thinks too highly of themselves. Dont communicate w/ her INDEED if I have no plans to visit the PI in 2004. and ONLY RICH MEN need apply! Hah! I can afford a USD1,000 call girl at least ONCE in my life, but I would not pay her more than P5,000 overnight IF she worked in a top club in Manila, and thats being generous.

back last week for monthly trip to Manila ( i live in Shanghai ).
Had yahoo freebies for most of my time but did venture to Grand Bouelvard massage where ive generall had good experiences. They did the "line up" and there was only two to pick from. This was in afternoon. Took the better of the two ...but when she got naked had horrible belly.. lots of cuts.. look like the doctor who deliverd her baby had a knife fetish. Anyways was ok.. P1000 for massge and P1000 for blow sensation.

Preparing myself again.
Arriving Manila on 07feb04, having my special fubu around during the weekend. Then business the following week, visiting Cebu as well (a resort). Back in Manila on 13th, exploring the possibilities, before leaving on Sunday.

I know it will be hectic, but I shall manage! For sure!

BTW: One of my friends asked me today if I was going away on a businesstrip soon. How come you ask, I replied. He said: You have that silly, well recognizable smile on your face again.

Can someone clue me in about which Victoria Court is the best for punters? Also is it anywhere near the LA Cafe or bar that I see mentioned here frequently?

I hope to spend a short time in Manila either later this year or early next year. I plan to visit Manila, Angeles City, and Cebu.

Rest of the holiday will be in Thailand. Doing a bit of pre-retirement scouting and some overdue celebrating. So I'm not looking forward to spending all night in the bars getting soused. Good food, some entertainment, and reasonably pretty girl is my basic wish list. Nice, but not expensive places to stay, of course.

I'm going back to Manila for either 14 or 24 days. Last time, I stayed a couple of nights at the Heritage Hotel, City Garden and then went to Cebu. However, this time I will be in Manila for the entire trip.

Can any of you recommend a nice hotel ($50-75) price range around the Ermita/Malate area? The Heritage is nice but it's too far from everything.

I'll be there after March 3rd if any of you want to go out for a few drinks.

Has anyone been to any good Topless shows lately in Pasay or anywhere in Manila?
I used to go to these places, but, they rip me off so much I stopped going. (They charge me outrageous prices that I know they don't charge others. I know that because I have a driver when in Manila, and he tells me that, especially since I arrive with a driver. Yeah, I know, its stupid, but, I just don't want to get into a wrong cab when I am drunk)

I will be back there again soon, and thought it would be good to go out and see some good tits.

Another dreamy experience at Skyline Health club at Grand Boulevard Hotel. Due to browser hijinks, I can't be sure if my report last night got through or is just being reviewed right now. Just in case, I mentioned that this Masage place is different in that you get an actual hotel room, and the selection of ladies seems rather fine.

Karen is a petite porcelain doll, busty, currently wearing braces which I found kinda cute. We hit it off and got right down to business - nice prolonged nipple kissing, a wet and tight Bj, followed by several positions. I will definitely see her again.

Looks like Skyline is it for me - definitely like the relaxed vibe, and the prices (1000/1200 and 1500 for the girl) are erasonable (at least by my East Coast standards.)

Just spent 3 nights in Manila, and spent them all in Diamond Regal! Similar to Victory Hills, they are within 2-minutes walk from one another on Roxas Blvd.

The girls go less than topless, with many going bottomless, in Diamond - full splits, dry humping, and spreading of lips on the stage. There was a new girl, Trixie, who smoked a cigarette on stage in her pussy! First time I've seen anything like that in Manila! She did great on the first night, on the second, she made a mistake and ash fell on her lips. You should have seen her jump!

Anyway, Victory has the advantage of a raised stage, and you get the full view of everything from most seats. Diamond has the prettier girls, but the stage is barely above floor level, so unless you are sitting really near the stage (a bit dangerous as some of the "star" performers may decide to wipe their pussies on your nose and charge you one ladies drink) your view is blocked by couches in front of you when the girl is doing her stuff on the floor.

There's an entrance fee (waived if you're a regular). Ladies drinks are 250p unless you feed the girls tequila (highly recommended!) then it goes up to 430p.

Barfine is anything from 4500 to 7000. I paid 8k once, overpriced, but she was a gorgeous "near cherry" and I had to have her. Lasted till late noon the next day, and she came back for a quickie on her way to work the next day, so I didn't feel like I overpaid.

Most of the hotels nearby are girl friendly - Heritage, Traders, Westin, and Hyatt (in decreasing rank).

Don't worry too much about a taxi back to the hotel. Just ask the mamasan to arrange. They have a vested interested in making sure that you are safe, and keep on returning. The clubs normally have a pool of taxis that they use to transport the girls anyway.

Just want to add that ALL hotels in the Philippines are girl friendly. The barfine in Diamond Real is P6500 before midnight & P5500 after that plus 1 hour of table charge (P650). Ask for Rhey as your Floor Manager (FM). He will take care of you really well.

Diamond Regal is 5500+ bar fine?? Did I miss something or did the bar fines in Manila just double? Or is this 1 of those "upscale" places? Someone clue me in here as I'm going to Manila next month and I might suddenly not have enough dough to last the 9 days I'm there!

That seems about right. I got quoted between 6-8K barfine at Stardust on Quezon Ave. But my floor manager advice me to ask the girls and see if they can meet me outside the club after or before work.

You might as well hang at LA Cafe, its seems to be the best place to hang with lots of girls to choose from.

2 more weeks for me and touchdown in Manila.

I have been away for more than 30 years but I still remember Ermita as a district of Manila.

LA Cafe is in Malate, also a district of Manila. There are many hotels in the area. You are going to have to do some of your own research to narrow down the options.

Have you tried the telephone directory? Have you asked a taxicab driver?

Ref L.A. Cafe:

Does it really matter where it is? I doubt if you are going to rent a car and drive there. Just ask any cab driver where it is. It's like asking where the Empire State Building is in N.Y. It's famous and everyone knows where it is. If I remember correctly, it's about 15 minutes (non traffic hours) from Makati. You also don't want to be caught outside on the streets there alone at night. Rough area for sure.

Cheers,

Isagani,

A quick geography lesson: All the discussed areas are concidered "Metro Manila". Some are independant cities, some are neighborhoods or barrios or barangays. Ermita and Malate are part of Manila City proper. P. Bugous is in Makati. EDSA complex is in Pasay City.

L.A. Cafe is the same locale as the former Rosies Diner, a very famous night spot. As iahnrt said, does it really matter ? You'll be taking a taxi right ? Just make sure the taxi has a meter and ask him to use it. If not, get out. At peak traffic hours do not "freak" if it seems he is taking you in circles. Traffic often requires the use of numerous "short cuts".

The hotels in Ermita are walking distance from L.A. Cafe and I wouldn't worry as much as iahnrt implies. Follow common sense rules (don't walk out stumbling drunk) and walk with confidence. I lived in Ermita for 8 months and never had a confrontation. I walked a lot, at all hours, unless I was drunk.

Pick up a copy of Moon Publications "Philippine Handbook". Good info, good maps and not as "holier than thou" as the Lonely Planet books. Amazon has it new for $13, used for $7.

Good luck

Stace,

Diamond Regal is one of the upscale nightclubs in Metro Manila. It is actually is Pasay City along Roxas Blvd. I stated the barfine is P6500/P5500 (before/after midnight). If you are used to barfining or spending under P4000 total for overnight, then the places to go are the EDSA entertainment complex along EDSA Blvd, just a block away from the corner of Roxas Blvd & EDSA Blvd (where you can see the 5-star Heritage Hotel).

02-14-04, 07:01
I was in the EDSA complex a couple of months ago and, in my opinion, its really gone downhill. The girls, regardless of the bar, were nothing much, the places were pretty aggressive, and to me it was more worthwhile to leave there and head to P. Burgos or the LA Cafe. I was staying at the Heritage so EDSA was the most convenient place, but it really was not worth the efort.

Sauna/ Massage parlors:

Star Trek and Air Force One in Sucat Road offers great all the way service. They are a block away form each other. Location is probably 15 minutes from the NAIA airport using sucat road going to the expressway.

Air Force one is 5 star, Star Trek half a notch below. Aquarium, shows girls from 6 to 8 rating on the regular rooms and 8 to 9 rating on the VIP sections.

During happy hours, room rates are $18. Girls for all the way service..including the great massage is an additional $18 given to the girl.

I really enjoy the Two Masseuse deal of $26 for the room and $36 for the girls, $18 each. They will give you a really good massage and you can have sex with both, but not at the same time. They do not want to share body fluids. Smart.

Stace & Ilongo_boy,

Do not pay those rediculous prices. Reminds me of the guy raving in the China section about the great night he had in Beijing for $ 350 US with a girl and going back the next day to tip the Mamason $ 50. A little more and he would have paid the monthly salary of an MD in a hospital there.

Enjoy Manila but then take a 1 hour flight to either Dumaguete City or Davao City (1 1/2 hrs). Cost me only $ 48 US for a last minute flight to Davao last week. Fucked my dick off and had a blast. Women are everywhere. Both cities are teeming with young co-eds age 18 - 30 plus plenty of pros.

I made Manila my headquarters for my first 4 years going to the Philippines. Then I switched to Cebu for the past 9 years. Now, I am moving it to Davao City where the traffic is light and life is slow and, most importantly, lovely women are in abundance. Dumaguete City is next on the list.

If this is your first time in Manila, I know that you will have a good time staying at Heritage and visiting EDSA across the street. For a beginner there is absolutely nothing wrong with the place.

The barfine is php 1000 and the girls expect 1500 for the night. Dont remember the cost of a lady-drink, sorry.

The Casino Bar is my favorite place. Herman is a bartender there, and he can tell you what girls are new to the place. He is not much behind the bar, but around talking to the customers. You may think he is gay, but he is married with family. Buy him and the floormanagers a beer or drink, tell them at regular cost, not as ladies-drink cost. If you become a repeater, they all threat you in a good way, ie no hustling. Not so many customers in any bars in EDSA nowadays, but plenty of girls. Most average, but some gems as well.

Whatever you do in Manila, you will have a good time. I just say that you shall avoid the Bourgos area, since the costs is skyhigh. After a few days, getting familiar with Manila, then you should visit LA Cafe and Malate area, and that is about 10-15 minutes drive from Heritage.

Have fun

thought i'd repay those who come after me. i snarfed up a bunch of useful info from this site before i headed over to the pi for the first time a few weeks back with ten days off and untreated yellow fever. i seriously love the filipina!

about me; late thirties, professional, fit and very discriminating female tastes. always a size 4 and smaller in the states and has to be a looker. i am not a professional monger by any means. just have the asian fetish! plus, i came prepared with lingerie (more xs thongs next time and no use in much over 34b....32b is the most sought after size), perfume, et al. the filipinas genuinely appreciated this and they were all great fun. also, i waaay over-pay/tip because they deserve it in my mind. just think of how much you drop in a strip club in atlanta/lasvegas/nyc in one night with nothing to show for it and so very few laughs?

fifteen hrs. flight not the most fun. airfare $1000 rt. midnight arrival to manila diamond ($90/night five star) in ermita near la cafe (on purpose). rough section, for sure. took taxi just a few blocks to la cafe. great scene. several hundred girls 18-35yo ranging from 5 to 9's who were there for the asking. fish in a barrel and great fun. i engaged two in talk and drink and dance. one (24 yo) finally broke down and cried saying she just gave birth six months ago and her boyfriend left her. she was a 8+. i tipped her and sent her packing at the bar and scooted off with the other, a solid 9 (21 yo). she probably told me her fee, but i am sure i gave her way more than she expected because she was awesome and i enjoyed the hell out of her. several hours of very nice activities and then she showered and left as the sun was coming up. i wouldn't have minded hanging with her for a few days. (note: the third go round with this lovely was some serious friction and the condom unknowingly shredded. it was the only unprotected contact i had in the pi and i got a nasty case of gonnorhea and chlamydia developed when i got home. could have been worse. warning to the wise!).

next day i slept off the flight. got a hotel massage. $10 and strictly therapeutic.

that night in a pre-arranged tour of manila clubs, i hit makati real early and since it was quiet we drove over to edsa. for those who do not know what it is, edsa complex is this large building on a major thoroughfare that is essentially a strip mall with a dozen or so clubs with dancers. you go in and if you see one you like. buy her a drink. simple enough. if the mood is right, barfine her and go have a blast.

there were less clients than dancers, by far, in each of the places we went. finally, settled in the pit stop. my friends ate. we all had several beers and i finally called a pair of girls down from the stage to drink. they had a few drinks as did a girl who's b-day it was and then i barfined the two hotties (it was their idea to take both!). my total bill was like $84 including the meals and double-bar fine! great fantasy night and both of these 19 yo were exceptional in looks and attitude. gave them both gifts (lingerie, perfume and $$$) in am. once again, i'd have hung out with them for days! er, maybe years!

went to angeles for three nights. see that report separately.

upon returning to manila, i stayed at the intercontinental in makati, the upscale section of town. great internet price ($75/night) if 21 day advance. next to giant mall. several massages in the spa at ih. strictly therapeutic, but nice.

checked out hard rock cafe on a weeknight. the pickings were few, but there were certainly girls looking to meet ex-pats. things may have improved had i stayed later. went to jool's in makati. over rated and the pressure on buying lady drinks was overwhelming and i never have a problem dropping coin. the irritating element was that soooo many girls (all good-looking and decently hot) were hounding me, you couldn't engage in banter with the one you are interested in. the dance show was ok, but it was more vegas than t&a. i wanted to leave with one of the gro, but i got so frustrated with the lady-drink oppression that i just left after dropping $140 in an hour and a half. dumb and not enjoyable.` i also went to night train on the same street. some really young looking freelancers walking on the sidewalk but that isn't my scene at all. taxi over to la cafe late, but the place was still hopping. same scene as before, but i was restless. taxi to edsa...very late. had a blast at firehouse with chicks in the little crowd (freelancers?) and barfine this incredible mestiza chica. she was a wow...

spent the remaining three days with this spectacular 4'10" pocket julia roberts lookalike. 20 yo and just precious. use your imagination.

philippines are a freakin blast. i'm heading back over late april/early may. it's good to be king! luv the filipina!

Golazo,

Thanks for contributing to raising the market value in Manila. You're right, one pays far more at the strip joints in the US and get nothing to show for it. But guess what? Your over-tipping will encourage the bars and clubs in Manila to move in that direction too. Use your head you buffoon. How easily you forget that everything there is way cheaper so giving a FL at LA Cafe $50 is like giving an FL in the US $300 or more! This message board is very informative but you selectively forget the posts about keeping the market low and tipping the FLs 1500 MAX. I'll be there in 3 weeks and I hope I run into that girl you had at LA Cafe so she can quote me P3000+ thanks to you.

Golazo,

What risks in going to Davao? Rookie, what the fuck are you talking about here? I think this is all too much for you. Leave the real action to US serious Asian Travellers.

You overpaid for everything from the Airfare, Hotel (yes, a shitty area and all), and the Women. Most of all, the women. Paid more in one night than I do for an entire week of serious fun. I am not on a tight budget when in Asia but why waste money needlessly.

Now to those risks in Davao. I have made a dozen separate trips there over the last six years. Two in the past nine months, including the one this month. It is certainly a hell of a lot safer than Manila, which I made my Philippine headquarters for four years from 1991 - 1995. The locals who advised you were either taxi cab drivers or other con artists who wanted to keep a "smart guy" like you in Manila so they could finish bleeding you dry of all your funds.

Had another rookie on his "virgin trip" spend all his time in Angeles City, nicknamed prostitute city by many of us. He asked me if all the women in the Philippines were *****s. Says a lot for the Mother of my Daughter, a former beauty contest winner and employed as a computer operator at the Mayor's Office in Leyte.

I sincerely wish all you rookies would get several years serious (I mean serious) experience before you come off with these outrageous comments. A little knowledge IS a dangerous thing.

I do not mind the gift part since that is a personal style thing. But do stay within the going market rates the next time your in the country.

Secondly, $90/night at Ermita is way over priced. As with those club/bar tours, just plain avoid them. When thinking in perspective to prices in the States, yes it is way cheaper than Vegas. But that doesn't work in the Philippines were an average worker only takes home less than $100 a month.

Lastly, Ignore that CIA travel report to Mindanao. That same report tells of daily bombings in Manila which hasn't happened for a couple of years now. Yes they bombed the airport and wharf area in Davao asccording to the news. If you were there, you'd know that it was outside the airport ( a waiting shed is what gotbombed and were most of the casualties were at ) and outside the main entrance of the pier (the bomber couldn't get past the security point). Security in Davao is higher than Manila, not only in terrorist threats but in crime as well. Making it a safe place compared to Manila. You'd be surprise how many foreigners are there in Mindanao.

Just avoid Basilan, Tawi-Tawi and Sulu as Goodenough has said. Glad you enjoyed your first trip to the PI. Learn from the members of this board. Your next trip should even be better and cheaper.

P.S. Just to rub it in. My ticket to Bangkok to San Francisco and back to Manila only cost me $680 via CHina Airlines with a two week notice. With a 3 hour stop over in Taipie on the return but a small price to pay.

GoodEnough,

Face it Pal, these guys coming here in Manila on there "once in a lifetime" fling are hopeless. But let's keep them up here where we both still manage to do just fine with the ladies, in spite of these guys throwing 5-10 times the going rate at the women.

In Davao we both have a great thing going. We do not need some temporarily unmarried dreamers messing up our fun.

Stace,

Face it, no way we will ever educate the first timers and "once in a lifetime" Asian traveller. It really doesn't matter. When the ladies realize we are not a "dumbass rookie", they will either move on or, more likely, adjust their price back to reality.

The Tales of "today is my birthday" and "I have a newborn baby" related by Golazo have been told to me hundreds of times in both Thailand and the Philippines. It doesn't have me ripping my wallet out. Nor do the ladies up and split when the line falls short.

One thing I am certain of for both countries, the supply far exceeds the demand. I read about guys paying as much as 5000 baht for Go-Go girls in Pattaya City, Thailand. Last June I took a gorgeous 21 y/o out of Starlight Go Go for only 500 baht and fucked her three times. She knew from the start by my speaking fluent Thai that I am not a rookie but went along anyway. She left ,essages for me with a friend asking that I look her up on my return, which I did.

Hey Gents!

Discovered your forum a few weeks past. Nice vibe of seasoned pros here you've got going. Well done!

I'm new to mongering within the past 2 years and all my time was spent in Thailand. Had a thing for filipinas for years though and think this summer I'll swing over to the PI and taste the fruits there.

So, I'd like to ask for some online map URL's if I may that you use as reference in your own plans. I did some searching of threads last week and came up with travel agents and hotels but no map sites. Anyone have any good links to online maps for any area of the Phillipines?

Thanks!

Too Much Mind,

I have been thoroughly scouring the web for the same thing, but I still havent found a decent map that shows (and names) all of the pertinent streets in Manila. I found a bunch of maps of areas like Malate, Makati, and Quezon, but again, not in the detail I would prefer. I think the only option is to buy 1 at a bookstore or online. I was thinking of taking a chance and just buying a map IN Manila since the maps there have got to be way cheaper than the crazy prices the US companies charge. 16 days left for me until MP/FL heaven!

I'll be in Philippines next April. I'd like to stop only a couple of night in Manila. Looking for any suggestion for a hotel not expensive, girls friendly and... where to go during the night
(many members suggest La Cafe).
Thanks

Hot Sam:

I cannot give you much advice on a range of hotels, but I can tell you that I've gotten P2500 (about $45) rates at both the Dusit and the Intercontinental, both of which are 5 star hotels in the middle of Makati. In my case, the company made the arrangements, but I know others who have gotten the same deals on their own. All it takes is a willingness to bargain, and an ability to bullshit reasonably well with the Duty Manager. I like the 5 stars because of all the amenities and the location, which is pretty convenient to almost everything. Also, the safety factor is enhanced at these hotels. I have never seen a hotel anywhere in the Philippines that is not girl friendly.

As to where to go at night, I would pay close attention to the contributors to this forum. I have never found them to be far off the mark. For me, the LA Cafe remains the best, but surely not the only, game in town.

Brothers,

I just returned from a trip to AC and Makati/Manila. I posted my Makati trip report tonight on that board. Rather than posting it again here, just thought I would let you know in case anyone was interested in reading it.

Yes, it was my rookie trip and no doubt I made some mistakes. We were all rookies at one time and you have to start somewhere. Thanks to this board, I feel that I limited my mistakes and did not overpay except for one or maybe two times when I was over served. hehehe But even then, it was not extravagant. I have made numerous trip to Peru, and two to Colombia in the past so I am not a pure rookie in any sense, but I knew very little about the RP. This board helped alot.

I had ask one guy if all women in the RP were *****s. In the context I was asking, I thought it was clear that I was not really serious, but more of a rhetorical question than anything else. I had a thought of trying to meet a regular girl while over there. I did not really know how to go about it and based on some of the posts here I assumed that the percentage of working girls was way higher than it really is. I meant no offense to anyones girlfriend or wife and I admit it was not a prudent question, even if not intended as serious. I actually did not spend all my time in AC, but also went to Makati/Manila. I would like to return and go to Cebu and Davao.

Anyway, thanks to all who post here as it really helped me alot on this trip.

Good hunting,

Mikster

Does anyone have the exact addresses for Air Force One and Star Trek in Manila? From what I gather they are located on Sucat Road. But where?

Also, does anyone have a complete or comprehensive list (Names, addresses) of massage parlors and daytime options in Metro Manila?

Stace,

Its better to buy your maps there in the Philippines. When you get there, just go to National Bookstore (biggest local chain) and buys the maps. They range in price from P100-P500 ($2-$10) depending on the complexity you want. Most hotels 4 star or better will have these for sale too.

All others taht want to get good priced accomodations should try www.asiatravel.com I personally use this while in the Philippines.

Xenono looks like you might need a guide for at least your exploration out, then you can prolly get there on your own next time.

Give my guide Jay R a call 09174145416, he knows where AF1 and other places are as well as 24/7 massage parlors around town with the best bang for the buck.

He just brought me a couple of girls- a virgin that I looked over and haven't decided on and a girl who just started working yesterday. He hasn't lost his touch :)

If you're into doing the starlets that you see on TV, for the right price you can have them I believe Jay R has connections to those now. Ask him.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

What about the price range for the girls?

Funny Go Lucky
03-07-04, 03:32
Hello,

I read the FR in this place. It will end up in the same question all over again. Are we not reading the old FR ?

Besides I been to LA Cafe a couple of times now and it is always freelancer were. The price are 500 - 800 for shorttime and 1000 - 1500 for overnight the quality are 6 - 8.

The service are mosthly ok just only make clear what you want.

A big diffrent for the boys comeing direct from western country are the pay girls in philippines (hookers) do not really see themself as hookers.

They will treat you as thier boyfriend but mosthly will try to 'hook' you for longer time.

So bee wise!

Remember in Philippines to many girls and so little time!

Well I just got back from my second trip to the RP. Had a great time. I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading. Why do some people even bother reading these posts if their going to ignore the sage advice provided here?

Have to agree with ya'll about the L.A. Cafe. Love the place. I stayed at the Bayview Park hotel across from the US Embassy. Not the greatest hotel, but not bad either. My Pinoy friend was able to book it for me at the local rate of about 1,500Peso. The Bayview, besides being reasonably priced and well staffed (Though not the best hotel by far) has some great advantages. It's right next to the Swagman Hotel/Travel Agency. It's also a couple of blocks from the L.A. Cafe, across the street from the US Embassy, etc.

I don't like to stay in Manila to long as I'm not a big city type. So what I do is hit the L.A. Cafe early and try to find me an 8 or a 9 who wants to hit the beach with me for a few days. That's ussually easy to do. Not once have I ever even discussed money with one of the lovelies from the Cafe. If it's short time I just shove 500P in her pocket and if it's an overnight I hand her 1000 P "Cab Money" (and that's after business has been taken care of). Not that first time has one argued that it wasn't enough and they all have been just incredibly sweet and fun. Havent' had a bad experience yet.

This trip I didn't even have to go that far. I arrived at the hotel at 8am all wound up from the flight. My room wasn't ready yet so I sat in the lobby and had a coffee. I spotted this gorgeous Pinay with a red halter top and the nicest JLo booty I've ever seen on a Pinay. It was lust at first site. But before I could make a move I was notified my room was ready, So I went up to shower with the idea of going next door the Swagman for a beer (I love them Aussies! 24/7 bars!). Well when I went to the bar guess who was there? Right! Ms. JLo Booty herself. To make a long story short we had a few drinks and laughs and I invited her to my room. Again, I never mentioned money. But after I had been completely satisified with her GFE treatment I just shoved a 500 P note in her pocket and sent her on her way. I hadn't even been in the country 4 hours!

My experiences at the LA Cafe have always been similiar. So I figure, why go to the expense and hassle of the go-go bars, unless you like the chase? As for me, I like the semi-pro's and Ams. I seem to have much more fun and there just as cute.

One word of warning. I did go to a go-go bar (sorry, but I can't remember the name but it was at EDSA) and the manager there kept insisting I pay my bar tab with a credit card. When I looked at the bill I noticed that there was no symbol denoting wether the amount was in USD or PP! So I figure the guy was trying to scam me for USD (My tab was 800 peso), when I insisted on paying cash he pitched a royal *****. That's when I knew for sure what he was up to. I paid cash and left! So watch out guys! Don't use Credit Cards at the clubs!

Mottley Dude and others,

I totally agree with your outlook on LA Cafe. I did the bar thing as well while in Manila and I never felt better about what I was getting than in LA Cafe. I think a guy could just find a decent hotel with swimming pool and go to LA CAfe every night and have all he could want and pay really very little, even less than AC. I dont mean to sound hard core, but I never brought money up except for one night when I wanted to bang the same girl again and she was actually the one who brought it up. I would not talk about money and if the girl did, I would blow her off and move on. Find a girl who you like, just take her back to the hotel and have a good time. In the morning I would give P500. In the event she throws a fit, I would give P200 more and send her off. Deal done. Cool Renegade gave me the tips on this one and he was giving P350 to some of them. He was right on his point, if they dont bring it up you dont have an obligation to give her what she may ask for the next morning. Im not saying stiff her and give pennies, but be reasonable and dont mark up the market. I even hestitate to bring up the no talking about money thing. Before we know it, everyone will be trying it and the girls will get wise so I probably will not mention it again. I want the same advantage when I go back.

Take care

Mottley Dude:

I think you did a great job of summing up the entire Manila experience. I don't even bother with P. Burgos or EDSA anymore. I do what you did; head straight for the LA Cafe early, grab someone and disappear. If I'm lucky, I can find someone with whom I can spend a couple of days and nights. Like you, I have never discussed money, and I pay about the same thing you did.

One suggestion I have for you is that the next time you're here, skip Manila and try Davao. It's much smaller, less hassle, and beautiful and willing women. I like it well enough that I'm starting to dread my bi-weekly trips to Manila for business. If you get a chance, go back and read some of the earlier posts from Dragon Slayer and me on the Davao page. The round trip from Manila is about $100, and you will save this on the price difference between the two cities in the first couple of days that you're here.

I've used a credit card all over, including clubs. I've never had anyone try anything as brassen as trying to bill dollars on a piso tab, but they all have tacked on a "service charge". I've never had any "funny" charges show up on the bill once I got home either.

But with ATM's getting reasonably common, why bother with a CC when a debit will do?

I always use my credit card when ever I can even in the Philippines and had no problem so far with billing. But I do always check my tab for anything else that might have gotten tacked on. Most of the time, I'm always challenging how much beers the charged me or an extra entree I never ordered. Oh yeah, and the so-called, service charge.

i just returned from five days in manila. first trip, and had a great time. rather than a blow-by-blow report (so to speak) i’ll give you my assessment of some of the manila resources (ahem!) mentioned on this site. (caution: your experience may vary)

jay r.: i had jay r. pick me up at the airport, and drive me to the mandarin oriental (which indeed is girl friendly – in fact they seem to encourage getting friendly with the girls). i had brought two old gsm phones from home just for running around, and/or giving to gfs. on the way from the airport i had jay r. pick me up a philippines sim card for my phone for only 2300p plus another 650p to repair a stuck key (more on this later). on the way, jr asked me if i liked university girls. uh. sure. young, articulate, cute. why not? so he wants to sell me on a 16 year old (is this legal?) but then stopped at the dormitory for some other introductions. oops. he meant “dormitory” which is, in fact, the name of a brothel on an industrial site. seems there’s no university; probably just an oversight. girls (4-6 range) only 4000p for the night (no st). nothing i liked so went to the hotel to shower. the rest of the evening, i ran around and learned the ropes with jay r.; i had to pester him to take me to the l.a. café, as he was convinced that the girls there were spiking drinks, stealing phones and other typical bargirl stuff. but i persisted after all the stuff i had read on this site.

l.a. café: welcome to bottom-feeders’paradise (check your handguns at the door). it was packed. i wasn’t quite prepared for the variety of ‘talent’ and ‘clientele’ at l.a.c. guys ranged from 20-something joe college to 70-80 year old geezers gone to seed, in cutoffs, sleeveless t-shirts, and hairy tattoos. girls – well you name it. semi-feral lbfm fresh of the plantation; hardened street urchins tarted up for quick sale; street meat well past its shelf life; piercing and tattoos galore. a little spicy for my blood, but i tried out some of the talent despite my better judgment. i wasn’t disappointed – she was shopworn, nail-hard and managed to steal my 3000+p phone within hours after i’d connected to philippines service.

harrison plaza: perhaps i wasn’t ready for the l.a. café (i am a neophyte, cherry almost intact). the next day, i figured harrison, with its reported sunday afternoon ‘schoolgirl’ talent would be just the prescription i needed for my l.a. café hangover. went to the second floor which – by the way – is all mobile phone shops – there must be 50 of them. i happened to have my second ‘throwaway’ phone with me, so asked the first shop for a philippines phonecard. no problem, just 200p. whaaat? 200p? what if i have a problem with the phone? you know, like keys sticking? no problem, they’ll clean the contacts for free if i buy their card. i buy the card, which is exactly the same one that jay r. purchased (same box). so did ms l.a. café steal 3000+p from me, or just 200p (in which case i need to question jay r. about his ‘tip’). enough moral conundrums; on to mongering. in addition to phoneshops on the second level, all of the tarts like to hang over the railing. there are touts too, but why bother since the tarts are clearly visible. like the ‘dormitory’ there wasn’t a schoolgirl in sight (i quizzed most of them) but plenty of old leches talking them up. mostly rough trade, tattoos and all. well, at least i got my phone fixed.

robinson place: now we’re cooking. indeed there seem to be some ‘nice’ girls looking for companions here. nice looking ‘nice’ girls. got some numbers. didn’t do anything with them (i was busy).

grand boulevard hotel: right across from the promenade downtown along roxas, this is a grand hotel that has faded from its former glory, and is forced to occupy a market niche in the seamier trades if only to keep its doors open. all the shops have closed, but there is a casino, and a lobby perpetually occupied by dodgy types, with who knows what going on on the floors above. all i know is that on the 8th floor is skyline. it reminded me of the ismaelova hotel in moscow (off ismaelovski park) a humongous soviet era hotel, now owned by the georgian mafia, and well stocked (by the same) with girls from turkmenistan and elsewhere. the lifts are perpetually wallpapered with ‘dosug’ post-it notes with contact numbers. in the case of the ismaelova, there must be 2000 rooms of service. ahh memories. back to manila. the skyline is a massage parlor; great idea, as they have all of these grand old rooms to use for, well, massage. paid my 1000p room rent, and selected my catch from the fishbowl. this is something of an asian thing, picking girls from a fishbowl; sort of like selecting your dinner from the aquarium in a chinese sea palace. i like a bar where i can chat a girl up first (even if english is her second language and thinking a forgotten art). i picked a short girl with a great figure and ok face. once we were in the room, i had a bit of a chance to explore her body; outstanding with ohhhh-soooo-suckable firm breasts, mounded with elegant puffies, lush twat, muscular legs, a perfect ten. a little young though; i could have sworn she was in her teens, despite assurances she was 20. she did give a great massage, but was a bit wary of sex because of my size (about 9 inches which is big for an asian). she was really scared of being hurt, but came twice quickly; a bit of a turn-on even if it wasn’t the best sex. i came back again and had almost an identical experience with another girl. i give the skyline an a- and with a little searching for more experience it could get an a+. all this and comparatively cheap.

imperial spa: after the grand boulevard, the imperial was a letdown. it also was an old hotel, but certainly never grand. the rooms are little better than closets, with beds that look (and feel) like hospital gurneys with tattered linen. my shower only ran cold water – kind of a letdown in advance given the reason i was there. all this for 2000p for 2.5 hours (plus tip, figure double). i chose my masseuse, a good looking girl who in fact gave a lousy massage; her poor performance in that category was only exceeded by a distinctly unprofessional bj and consistent whining about her period (yuch!).

in room massage: lots of cards for these being passed around shopping centers like glorietta. for around 500-1000p you get in room service (my experience was very good with elvira), and an extra tip for, well, extra. this can be very comfortable, and you don’t have to miss any tv shows – like sex in the city.

non-hanky-panky spas: i went to one other spa on roxas that was just straight massage, and it was great; only 600p. you get a girl who scrubs you down (just like elephants in the zoo). and another girl that massages the hell out of you. it’s worth checking these out if you want to unbundled services.

edsa complex: edsa is a lot of fun. i liked the cotton club and firehouse the best (they’re bigger) but the other bars can be fun too. in general the girls are chatty; it’s easy to collect numbers to call later (there are so few customers, and so many girls, that they come running whenever you give them a call). tip! ‘up to you!’ i spent all day with two girls from the cotton club alternately fucking one while the other made sure i was comfortable with a massage. who needs a spa?

other roxas boulevard bars: i went to some other bars – lookers, east asia, etc. – on my first night. more to asian tastes with the (once again) fishbowl approach to selecting girls. except that the categorizations of ‘superstars’, ‘stars’ and so forth defies any meaningful analysis at these places. not my cup of tea.

white top (don’t try this at home): i also made it into white top, a gay bar. no problems, as they immediately saw that i was a tourist. it was a bit ironic to see scantily clad guys (my own species) cooped up inside a fishbowl waiting for consumption (guess who’s coming to dinner).

p. burgos: lots of streetwalkers, if you are into instant gratification. around 500-1000p for girls much better looking than anything that might crawl into the l.a. café. the bars can get expensive here, so best to just collect numbers and call the next day. how easy this is depends on the mama-san. some places try to corner you in a private room, then shake you down for a few dozen drinks (well, a bit more subtle than that, but you get the idea). on the other end are places like rascals, and tingles (i think that’s the name) where the mama-sans are social, and girls more relaxed. quality of girls is similar to edsa, but the bars seem more tightly run. there were not many customers anytime i was there (nor were there at edsa). i suspect that the aggressive behavior is annoying many of their customers. there seemed to be many so western guys at the mandarin oriental draping lbfms over one arm. they just weren’t selecting them from the p.burgos bars.

th-th-th-that’s all folks.

Some of you seem hooked on this Jay R. guy. Report below shows that he is not much better than most taxi drivers..e.g. "university girl" below. Of course he hates LA cafe - no commission for him.

If you need quality, get to know one girl, be VERY nice to her and have a sincere talk to her about finding a 'good nice' girl who doesn't go to LA Cafe. You will get introduced, especially if you give a few Pesos. Remember, each girl knows about 20 others that are desperate to get out of the Phils! Each of those knows 20 others.

Han Bali, great reporting! Esp from a first trip.

I havent been to Manila in a few years (2000), but its sounding quite tempting now. I remember street walkers on Burgos St, but I also remember some were quite convincing trannies.. so gotta be careful.

Fastpiston raised a good point about Jay R (althought I dont know him and he could even be honest), chances are any "guide" or driver offering gals would be taking a good slice of your money. I remember taking a tour of some of the casas (houses with mamasans and a few girls with supposed daytime jobs, i.e. salesgirls, bank clerks, etc) and although I knew I was paying too much (4000p) and the driver was getting a cut, I had the hots for one of the girls and just had to take her out.

When we got to the hotel, I asked the girl how much was her take and she said 1000p. I have a feeling the drivers get a much larger cut then they should.

I used to stay at the Century Park hotel (next door to Harrison Plaza) and I noticed the tarts leaning over the railings too.. (har har).. I guess its an OK place to hang out in the afternoon having a capuccino and making eye contact with the gals walking by. On almost every trip to Manila, I'd nail me an afternoon quickie from there.

I'd like to try Davao. Sounds like it would be a whole lot of fun. I have yet to do Angeles and I've been told that a monger should do Angeles at least once. But Davao sounds more my style then AC.

I agree with Fastpiston. The best times are to be had with the non-pro's. So make friends and build relationships. It makes the experience much more interesting that's for sure. And like he say's. They all have 20 friends who want to get out of the Phils.

The problem with Fastpistons idea is the dreaded "L" word. That is you'll meet a truely fantastic girl that you fall head over heals for. Be carefull! These girls will use you as an e-ticket to a green card. However a lot of them are very sincere and if your looking for something more permanent, well you can certainly do a lot worse then a sweet Pinay! Just don't be niave about these girls. Under that super sweet demeanor lurks the heart of a CPA! hehehehe.

To everyone who has made recent comments about JR.

I was introduced to JR thru this board and have used him a lot over the past couple years, perhaps now to a lesser extent. I like to get out on my own these days so i tend to use him when i want girls brought to my room, usually after a long flight. I have always recommended him to newbies simply because we all need a bit of a pointer in a new place, especially Manila..!! You should all remember that everyone you come in contact with in manila will try to make as much money from you as they can. Thats the name of the game. You are there for fun. For the girls, the Mamasans, the taxi drivers they work every day trying to make a living out of us. JR no doubt takes his cut from the places he takes us. most of the girls only get 500 pesos out of the 3000 we pay. But he is safe to travel around with and highly knowledgable about the city. Dont be too quick to write him off as just another taxi driver.

As far as LA Cafe is concerned you will certainly find all types there which is a great thing. It caters for all tastes. You wont find many movie stars there but how many of us look like Tom Cruise!

Have fun guys and lighten up a bit. Im just back from Phils and as usual have spent FAR too much money. Got to wait till June till i get back to LA Cafe. thats the place for me these days.

Keep up the great reports.

[Deleted by Admin] No wonder you have nothing good to say about it. Your not going to find super hot girls there every single night, maybe you hit it on a bad one. I have been to South America many times, and to RP once and when I went to LA CAFE I had plenty of solid 8's to choose from and a 9 here and there. I know what an 8 or 9 looks like. No doubt there are plent of 3-7 pieces there, but I got an 8 every time. Not bad for P500, of course you paid more.

Seems like I touched a hot button with the T-word. Wow! I hadn't seen any. So was just asking. I'm aware that pick will vary at any spot, including LA Cafe'. I was just trying to give an objective report of what I saw. The truth is that the place is a serious zoo. I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't where the trannies hang out (like anyone would ever notice THAT at the LACafe). I can picture the conversation now:

Patron#1: There goes a 10; what a bod
Patron #2: Yeah, and from the look of her hot pants, she's happy to see you too!

You're welcome in Davao any time. In fact, I just found three new places, two of which are really fun with fine-looking ladies. I agree with you about the Pinays. Under that gentle, loving demeanor beats the heart of a true predator who just wants to get the hell out of here. It's easy to fall in love but it's a lot harder to disentangle yourself.

Used the services of JayR last December. You guys are right. He definitely takes a cut from what your paying the casa or bar, however, he makes up for that by making you feel safe. I wouldn't be so sure with the other taxi drivers. He definitely had an idea that i was carrying loads of money since i've been going to high class establishments most of the time, but, no matter what, he always sticks to business. He even covers my back when withdrawing money from ATM machines in high crime areas. I doubt if he would dare screw any of you mongers here since we are his "bread and butter." I will definitely use his services next time. Like what other mongers stated, expect to see some hesitation on his part if you ask him to go to LA Cafe.

Are the girls you see on the website from the ktvphil clubs available to take back to the hotel? I know they are expensive but where else can you meet some high class girls?

If you are interested in girls with meat between their legs, you will be better off going to Thailand for Ladyboys. We happen to like real girls and have no interest in those things... If thats what you are into or have a curiosity, more power to ya.

Manila can be a whole at times but, you can have a good time if you plan things ahead. Getting totally stoned at the bars is not a good idea. You're just asking for trouble. Normally, the locals won't bother you (too much) but if you present a weakened state either physically and/or mentally, you are fair game!

LA Cafe can be a hit or miss situation. Most of the time, it's a hit. We all want great looking women but if you spend your time looking for 8's, 9's or 10s, you will definately miss out on some fun. You don't have to screw girls that are butt ugly, but a 5, 5 or 7 will take care of you just as well as any 8, 9, or 10. In my experience, the average girls seem more eager to please than the prettier ones. Some of them tend to be on the picky/bitchy side and expect more for their services.

EDSA & LA Café

I had heard much mentioned about LA Café or Ricks Café, which it turns out is actually a bar and grill however I was excited at going down there and sampling the best that Manila has to offer. On my chosen night of going out on the town (again) I decided to check out two night spots, the first being EDSA complex then L.A Café. Anyone who is familiar to Manila will have no problems getting around however, if you are new to the city or just passing through like myself you will need exact direction to both locations.

My taxi driver to EDSA said its actually pronounced locally as ED-SA and not how I would have imagine E-D-S-A centre which is close to Pasig, the average taxi driver would struggle to locate the venue without proper directions. There is also for bearings the Manila Light Rail Network which has a station close by, however I didn’t get an opportunity to try this out, whilst I was there in Manila.

In side EDSA which is located on one level you will find seven bars, with many girls depending on your taste in music, you will hopefully find a bar, best suited to your choice. You will observe the sign outside which points out that no firearms are allowed inside, in case you have a dispute with your bill. But generally whether entering mall or any clubs you will find a high level of security present, in EDSA no cameras, so I had mine taken from me. I first went into Firehouse and on early arrival at around 9pm there was hardly any customers around and I was one of the only six or seven customers present in the club, and yes I counted, despite the club being fairly empty of customers and at least 30 girls working in there the girls did not make an effort to attract my attention. In fact from what I could see they were more interested in talking to themselves in small groups. I had one quick drink in there before quickly moving on to the next bar next door, I can’t recall the exact name but its theme was a space ship, once inside there was a group of five Americans making up the numbers and I spotted at least two or three girls that were 8s in my books. However, just as in Firehouse the girls were slow to come forward but the waiters were asking what drink you wanted to order. In this bar I didn’t stay long enough to buy a drink.

Moving on to bar three I entered the Pitt Stop, which I can say had the most customers in, than the three other bars I had seen previously. In here I would have to say the girls had a bit more life in them not being as slow to come forward and I struck up a conversation with two pretty girls from the Visaya region of the Philippines, who it turns out were cousins. Drinks in these bar are around 60 - 80 pesos (U$1.07 -1.40) Unfortunately, because my mind was fixed on going to LA Café I did not get the bar fine prices but I am sure it was in the region of 2,000 pesos, however, I stand to be corrected.

I would not rule out EDSA because if you look wide and hard you can a few gems in there so its worth going to have a look because you can bar fine them once and then hook up with them later, once you have the cell phone number.

I am breaking up this post into two parts so LA Café is the next post.

LA Café

Following my time spent in EDSA I then took a twenty minute taxi ride over to Ermita and LA Café.

Please note: it’s a myth that all taxi drivers know where is the LA Café and how to find it, it is best to have clear directions, given below in this post, because I asked several taxi drivers whenever I took a taxi, where is the LA Café and a majority of them did not know what I was talking about and yes I do speak English. Only two out of twelve knew of the place.

Upon my arrival at the LA Café my expectations were raised, further still, when one Japanese looking guy who was waiting for my taxi with a rather fit looking young lady. Upon entering the bar I took the seat nearest the door by the bar and was immediately set on by two big, by Philippino standards, average by US standard girls, who were not my type at all. I made pleasant conversation and didn’t encourage them too much to keep my options open. Then following this some old dragon came and sat down next to me on my right hand side and was trying to make conversation, she was well in her 30’s if not early 40s, now despite me not even looking in her face when I gave my one word replies, she still sat there. I have a policy of not going with uglier girls than I can find at home or else I would not have travelled 8,000 odd miles to the Philippines for this.

Sitting sipping on my drink watching to see who was coming and going in LA Café at the main door I noticed that several other girls further along the bar were making eye contact with me, but these were not my type. Then this dragon who sitting next to me, who was now intensely watching me looking at the girls, asked me if she is my type, and I reply no you are not, then she said most of the girls in there are her friends and she can find me a nice girl. I reply that I am very fussy to start with anyway, so she would have a difficult task ahead of her, but she accepts the challenge saying that I should give her a tip for her troubles, I said if you can find me a decent girl I will tip you and then spent 60 Pesos (U$1.07) to buy her a drink. With her drink in hand she goes off to in search of this elusive girl, she has promised to find me, and I don’t hold out much hope. During this time I had now seen a number of other guys entering the bar, just like myself, they looked lost; one came and stood at the door for what seemed like 30 minutes not even taking a seat or talking to anyone, until he left. From what I could see the girls will come in and then quickly circulate themsleves to see who’s available so if you are a guy and want to attract attention its best not to have any dragons sitting next to you.

In my own opinion I did not see any girls in there that would rate the LA Café as having the best girls in Manila, no model types to be seen, yes, it certainly cheaper but for my money although relatively more expensive the clubs and bars of P.Burgos street, Makati had vastly superior girls. It wasn’t long before the dragon had returned with some young looking skinny girl that, just wasn’t my type. As I had explained to her, I have just come from EDSA where there were at least 10 girls in all of the clubs I had visited, who were far superior to what she had just shown me. Why would I now want girls that are worse than what I could have had earlier in the evening? Then the dragon said I was just saying that at that the girls were beautiful her, to which I replied then why are they alone then, surely the fact that they are looking for some must tell you something here?

Then I made a fatal mistake, when the dragon asked me to pick out a pretty girl, I had a look around and after about, what took some twenty minutes, I noticed one girl who was circulating herself, I said was OK, not beautiful just OK for sex, not a beauty, with that the dragon lady jumps out of her seat and claims the girl Joy is her friend, and invites her to sit with me. Anyway, fast forward, I get talking to Joy and try to strike up a conversation and now instead of thinking rationally, that I should go back to EDSA and get one of the girls I was talking to earlier, I decide to go with this girl I was with, Joy. So as we go to leave for my hotel the dragon reappears and claims I owe her a tip, so I give her 100 Pesos (U$1.78) to which she replies its not enough, somehow I don’t recall having a conversation discussing her rates. So as me and Joy walk out of the bar the dragon follows us and I say I am not giving her any more money, because we did not enter an agreement. Then Dragon lady says to Joy that she owes her the 100 Pesos (1.78), as we get into the taxi. Then some other scam artist comes over and wants a tip from me as well, for claiming he hailed me a taxi, so rather than start an argument at nearly 1am in the morning, I drop two pesos coins in his hand to which he looks at and says it not enough but at this time I had closed the taxi door and instructed the driver to go, leaving dragon woman and the scam artist on the side of the road.

In the taxi despite asking him if he had a metre, the driver had now switched it off, so I instruct him to turn on back the meter or else I will take another taxi, the driver is then trying to claim that it would be more expensive with a meter and I say fine, but let’s just keep the meter running because once you reach your destination they will then claim the fare is 200 or 300 pesos. The driver is pissed and says something in tagalong to the girl Joy who responds. Joy then claims that she doesn’t know, this dragon women, who wants 100 Pesos from her and asks if she is my friend. Upon arrival to the hotel I make sure I give the driver the exact money because as I have said before you only tip for good service.

Its well past midnight and I am very hungry because I have not eaten all day and decided to grab a bite to eat I offer some food to Joy who orders a big plate of pasta, which she cannot eat, plus she takes two sips of the mango juice she also ordered, so as I have a policy of eating what I order I suggest she asks for a carry out and takes the remainder with her. In the room we wash and get down to business but to be honest Joy is fairly useless, the CBJ was terrible and sex unexceptional not what I was expecting from LA Café, however you live and learn. I thought I would be generous and give her 1000 Pesos (U$18) for her effort but she jumped up and asked for 1,500 Pesos (U$26), remember this is for short time of less than 40 minutes of action. And then claimed she had this bill to pay and that to pay for and a baby to look after and she was the only one working in her family. Plus she also wanted to go home and claimed she was going to come back in the morning, first thing (like I was really going to believe this) because if her baby wakes up and she was not there her child would be crying, where is my mummy. I know none of this was any of my business but I gave her an extra 500 Pesos (U$9) and be done with it although with hindsight considering the meal I had just brought her I realised that I had well overpaid her for her services. The Dusit’s security is tight and when Joy left the security called my room to ask if everything was alright as my guest was now leaving, I said yes all is fine.

So to sum up I was not overly impressed with the LA Café I felt there were too many scam artist in there and on the night I was there, a Thursday, the girls in my opinion were basic 6s and 7s nothing exceptional to get excited about, there may well have been one or two gems to be had, but at 10pm when I had arrived I can only speculate that they had all been snapped up, if in fact they were there at all. In my opinion I had seen better looking girls in the clubs of Makati in P Burgos Street and also in EDSA generally on a higher level; OK, they were more expensive but you have to weigh up what you want quantity or quality. This in my opinion the LA Café was lacking in quality not quantity, others might disagree, I don’t think I would put myself out to go back to LA Café when there are so many other better choices available to pick from in Manila. If I go back to Manila I might give it another shot but I certainly would not rush back to go there, I regret not bar fining a beauty from EDSA, but we live and learn.

Juniour, can you explain to us all again just exactly how Joy "scammed" you eg did she promise you a BBBJ, did she promise you great sex, did she take more money than you had originally agreed upon etc, etc.

I have been to the Philippines 3 times last year, and on each stay. I have stay for a month each. I stay around the Malate area, which is very close to Ermita, which is where LA Cafe is. I use to go there everyday.

Ermita/ Malate area is a haven for hustlers. Everyone that is inside/outside is trying to hustle you. Although, I know many of the girls, and some of the hustlers, they will still try to hustle you, if given the chance. They will cheat, steal, or rob you, if you don't watch it. Of course, there are some that won't. Even the locals know this, so why shouldn't you?

This come from the environment, that you are at. Like any "Red Light Districts," Whether, in your country, other countries, or the Philippines, It can be dangerous, if you are unaware of things. If you are, then you can go on with your business, but be cautious.

Some of the girls are nice, and some of them are not so nice. Like girls, everywhere. I like to get to the point of what they want, not what they are going to surprise me with, and not "up to you line." I know of some girls that are range from 300 to 3K pesos (ugly, old to good looking) in LA cafe. Whatever they can get away with. Just remember that you are in a third world country, and they don't have much. Some of their stories (babies, families, troubles, problems) are true, but most are not. Hey that is their problems, not your. You are trying to enjoy yourself, not fix someone problems. If you hook up with one of these girls, they will drain you, but not like your country, so that is cool, but if you look at Philipinos standard. It is high, so you are getting a bargain, since you don't live there, or not staying very long at all.

To me, Hookers are the world greatest con-artists, because, when you ask them, if they will do this, or that. They will tell you they do everything, or agree with you. When the time comes, they will tell you they don't do this, or that. Then you have to pay them to get rid of them. Of course, it is easier for me, b/c I stay longer there. For the short term travelers, you just want to get rid of the pest, and move on! This happens all over the world, even at your own country. So, it is not you. It happens to a lot of guys I know that travels.

This is my opinions, and you don't have to agree with it,

Spidey

P.S. I will agree with you that in the Philippines, if you know what you are doing. You can get free, or cheap pussy. If you are in Thailand, it doesn't work that way. Everything is about the Money!

And yes, I am like most of the long time travels. I have been hustle many times. It will not be the first, nor the last time!

Hey Juniour,

I just read your report over on the Makati board and I thought it couldnt get any worse. Then I read your report here and I see that it gets considerably worse. P1500 for an LA Cafe chick for 40 minutes, plus dinner? My god, you have set a new precedent. You can pay P500 for all night with no dinner. Imagine if she had stayed all night with you, maybe 8 hours. P13000 plus breakfast. Hehhehee Keep going boy, and you will single-handedly prop up the economy there.

Hi vets,

Thanks for your recommendation here for me. I will be arriving in Manila on a Sunday afternoon and heading up to Baguio. My question is should I try for a quick massage and service there in Manila (Skyline or Airforce One) before heading up to Baguio that night or would I do better off stopping off at Angeles City for a quickie before continuing onward to Baguio that same night. I hear that not much is available in Baguio City and therefore thought I would get something on my way up. Any of you who are aware of some places where I can get a quickie thanks for your recommendation?

Do you recommend skyline or Airforce One?

Is there something comparable in AC or do I need to go to a bar. Are there some good short time hotels there?

Thanks for your help here.

Spidey,

I am sure alot of idiots get hustled when they to to the RP or elsewhere, but there is really no excuse for it. I just made my rookie trip to AC, Manila/Makati and I had no problems at all. Yes, all kinds of people tried to hustle me. Big deal. Whatever happened to just telling people to fuck off or simply ignoring them? Thats all I did, and if someone touched me I gave them a gentle shove out of the way followed by a "I will kick your ass" stare. Im not all that big at 6-1 and 210, but over there I tower over just about everyone and alot heavier so you can use it to your advantage. I always walked around at night and if you look like you wont take shit, rarely will anyone give you shit. If a girl does not perform as she informed me, then out the door she goes with taxi fare. end of discussion. No arguing or pleading, just out. These guys who pay girls P1000 to P2000 just to get them out the door to avoid a hassle are pussies. Buck up men, act like a man over there and you will rule.

Hans Bali,

LA Cafe is not a cesspool. Its a very good place with alot of girls at unbelievable prices. P3000! Are you out of your mind? Its not a Victorias Secret hangout, but most nights you can score a 7 or 8 fairly easy and for P500, what is there to complain about? I like girls who are 7's at times. They don't get picked up as much and I have the best all around sex with 7's on my foreign trips. They work harder on average in my experience. Maybe you went on a bad night, or were intimidated by the outside or the crowd. See above post. Re-attach your balls and rule the place.

i have a feeling that juniour arrived with a chip on his shoulder. i lived in manila for 9 months and had maybe two cabbies not know l.a. cafe and none who didn't know the edsa complex. he is right, for those of you who haven't been, that it is pronounced "ed sa".

hank,

it kind of depends on how you are planning to get to baguio and when you're leaving. afternoon is a bad time in terms of traffic. killing a few hours in manila might be a good idea. if you want to stop by ac just long enough to releave some pressure head for santos street. the bars there have short time rooms. if you're travleing by bus, get one that goes to the dau station, not ac. from there it's an easy trike ride (offer 50 piso, settle for no more than 70-80) to the bars of ac.

han bali,

[deleted by admin] have you ever been to the rp ? "i've heard manila" ? [deleted by admin] this board is for first hand knowledge exchange. please take your hatespeech elsewhere.

Thanks Firedick for your suggestions here...to answer your question I get into Manila about 3 in the afternoon off the Thai flight. I am not sure how long it will take to clear customs/immigration but plan to get a taxi and maybe can be out of there by 4. Keeping in mind it is a Sunday afternoon, how bad will the traffic be? Is it better to stick around Manila for a couple of hours at that time and then head out or should I just go straight on up to AC since I will have an available taxi. I will then later head up to Baguio.

Thanks again for your advice. Please excuse the newbie questions but first time in Phil and was interested in knowing the best way to maximize my time.

The spirited (and I must say, increasingly nasty) defense of L.A. Café I’ve seen in the past few posts is a bit perplexing to me. Especially in light of contradictory posts on this site describing peoples’ experience. Consider the following evidence that should raise your suspicions about the L.A. Café; these are picked up from various posts, including mine:

1. L.A. Café is isolated in a dodgy, low rent part of town. One in which you can’t safely walk around.

2. The taxis seem to be in on the scam, and are the only way home from this remote area

3. It is frequented by clientele and hookers whose looks, attitude and health seem to be widely disparaged, even by the supporters of L.A. Café. The justification seems to be that you can get the hookers for 500P (though reports seem to indicate a wide variance)

4. Initial reports seemed to indicate that all these girls were university students who occasionally augment their income. But, as the discussion progressed, they became semi-pros, eventually evolving to the remnants of the professional community that – for health reasons, looks, age or something else – couldn’t get or keep a job in the EDSA, P. Burgos, or other ‘upscale’ areas.

5. Given that HIV prevalence is around 2% (WHO figures) in PI, and antibiotic resistant chlamydia and gonorrhea are running 10-15% in PI, the imputed self-selection of pros at the L.A. Café for health reasons is serious cause for concern.

I honestly don’t understand what is going on with the defenders of L.A. Café on this site; nor with the administrator for allowing these posts, but deleting mine when they grow too critical of the L.A. Café (though I do now understand that there is a policy with respect to the T-word; I apologize for that). I really didn’t start out to trash the L.A. Café. But I just can’t see any compelling reason to go to L.A. Café when you have EDSA, P. Burgos and malls like Robinson Place, where the girls are better looking, ultimately less expensive, less hassle, have better attitudes IMHO, and have health checks (at least in the first two). If you don’t want the barfines, then collect numbers and call later. Believe me, they are anxious to come, and often for free just to be with a Westerner. And you’ll be in a nicer safer part of town as well; in the comfort of your own hotel room.

Maybe it boils down to (as one poster noted) the fact that everyone in PI has a scam. Perhaps I’m just not in on whatever inside agreements exists with the L.A. Café.

Whaoooo interesting comments Gentlemen with regards to the LA Café, but all I have posted is what I observed on the night I visited. It seems like I have touched a raw nerve with some of you guys on your favourite stomping ground.

True, maybe I did arrive in Manila with a chip on my shoulder but I did not see any beauty queens or students supplementing their incomes but a great deal of hardened pros who have been around the block for ages. And for my money the quality of girls was much superior in P Burgos & EDSA than what I observed in LA Café.

On pushing up the prices, I would have to say that as many of the club were frequented by Koreans and Japanese maybe you should first investigate what rates they are paying, but in terms of what I got for my money, because yes I do know how to negotiate, I have no regrets on the prices with the girls from P Burgos Street. However, I did get the contact numbers of the girls I encountered, as I have stated, so they wanted to pursue further contacts judging from the text messages and calls I was receiving in AC.

And finally rather than just posting these so so claims of these all nighters girls for 500 pesos why don’t you post a proper report and share you information with us all, attach a photos of these so called 7s, 8s & 9s beauty queens from the LA Café and let the audience judge for themselves. Its not that I am particularly hard to please but could it be you are just easy to satisfy?

Gentlemen why are you so upset about my post The LA Café is all yours you are welcomed to hang out there with your 500 Pesos (all night) beauty queens. You have your preferences and I have mine.

Junior,

Well said. Everyone whos been to Manila knows that Burgos is more expensive but has the best looking gals. If you have discriminating taste and can afford the higher rates, its certainly worth going there. I doubt if theres a single monger who gives a fcuk about the welfare of other mongers the moment his eyes are on some hot babe that he knows he can have quickly even if sustaining a little damage to his wallet. And your right, its mostly the Japs and Koreans who have the most effect on prices in that area.

If someone gets a blowjob at Burgos for the price of a ladydrink, is that the rule or the exception? I'd say someone got lucky otherwise there'd be long lines outside such a joint.

As far as the 500p rate for an all-nighter is concerned, I think someone mentioned that applies to freelancers who dont ask up front how much you will give them (but certainly expect a higher rate than a measly 500, unless she's under a 3 or 4), and then just handing them a 500 bill the next day whether she likes it or not. I think that is a bit of a rip off considering what they normally get from others which is based more on trust and the expectation that its not less than a thousand for an all-nighter.

If some can "spoil" the market by "overpaying", some can also spoil it by underpaying when they dont let the gal know of their measly budget upfront. That can not only result in possible arguments (or worse trouble depending on who the gal "knows"), but they will most likely never go out with you again as well as you developing a nasty reputation there. Could even result in the distrust of all mongers and demanding their money upfront from all.

Peace

1. L.A. Café is isolated in a dodgy, low rent part of town. One in which you can’t safely walk around.

>>Malate is part of the old Metro Manila. Malate is NOT about only LA Cafe. If you go to the A-circle, there is many locals guys/gals, who love to party there. Malate, also has some of the higher rents in Manila.

Del Pilar, is the old part of the original red light district, and all red light districts in the world, bring with them gangs, drugs, hookers, drinking, and gambling. They all go hand to hand. You may not recognize this, but it is presented.

2. The taxis seem to be in on the scam, and are the only way home from this remote area

>>No, but you can take the jeepney, but that is too extreme. (just joking!) Yes, the taxis will scam you if they can. Just tell the where, or ask them how much. From Malate to the airport is give, or take 100 pesos. That is how much it cost me to the airport. Where you are staying is closer to the airport. They are going to get over, like cabs, or taxis almost everywhere. LA Cafe is not in a remote area. It is one of the busiest place around (Malate).

3. It is frequented by clientele and hookers whose looks, attitude and health seem to be widely disparaged, even by the supporters of L.A. Café. The justification seems to be that you can get the hookers for 500P (though reports seem to indicate a wide variance)

>>That is not true. There is a good mix of people there, that is enjoying themselves by drinking, or drinking with the ladies, playing billards, listening to decent music from live band, watching television, watching, or talking to girls, that you may not have a chance in your country, or other places. I look at it as entertainment, and the Philipinas/Philipinos do a good job at it, from dancing, singing, or talking with you, and if you want sex. You can pay whatever you like, but there is a going rate. Some like to pay less, while some pay more, and other overpay. I go by what is the going rate in the place.

>>Where do you expect from a bunch of freelancers? Some will do, and some will not do, and some are just.......Well,....Maybe??? This is place for the freelancers to hang out, so everyone from Tom, Dick, and Harry, to Mary will be there. You don't want to pick up the one on the street, because they are either banned, or don't have the money to go in there to buy a drink to stay. The professional, are the older girls, who been around. They really know how to squeeze you for the money, that is experiences. Try Friday, and Saturday, they are the best days. Everyone comes out those days, and it is really crowded there, almost like Themae in Bangkok. Sometime, all walks of life will go there.

5. Given that HIV prevalence is around 2% (WHO figures) in PI, and antibiotic resistant chlamydia and gonorrhea are running 10-15% in PI, the imputed self-selection of pros at the L.A. Café for health reasons is serious cause for concern.

>>Get a real girlfriend, or a regular local girl, who is not in the sex industry, and you will have no problem! Hey, this is the risk is you play wrong. It doesn't matter where you are!

I understand your point of views. Obvious, you like the strip clubs better than the bars. LA cafe is just a bar that attract people there. depending on what you do. That choice is your to choose what to do. I know places that are better than ESDA complexs too. They will blow those girls away in ESDA. Ask some of the locals here. They will tell you. You have to know where to go, like your hometown to enjoy yourself. Yes, Manila is a bit, or a rough place to be, but what do you expect from a third world country. Hey, i though it is Pussy that you are after, that is why you are here.

JP2U,

You make the same mistake most guys make. You, and others dont seem to grasp the differences in relative terms of money between here and there. Even in a scenario where a girl only gets picked up twice a week on average at P1000 per pop that is close to $150 per month. That does not include the drinks men buy for here, breakfast and dinners, tips, staying in nice hotels with all the niceties that entails, etc. Most of the time they dont have to work very long and their lives are actually upgraded to a degree. They could also have some kind of job during the day to supplement. This is not a bad living and with tips they actually make more than what I quoted above. Many may think that amount of money is nothing, but in the RP is it something. Its not our responsibility to move them to the upper class and I think most guys take care of the girls fairly well with all the extras involved. If your nice to the girls and get them hot, they actually like the sex with some guys as well so its not like its all just for you. There is a reason the average payments are what they are and when guys go over with shit for brains and pay exhorbitant rates over and above it screws everyone in the future. P. Burgos prices will come down at some point, I predict. When I was there, not too many guys hanging out but alot of girls. But, if Juniour and Steve Naive go then that should keep them in business for awhile.

Its not about being cheap, its about being reasonable and paying what the service is worth. Just because you have money doesnt mean you have to throw it away.

Take it easy

Nice post. I tend to agree with Spideys rebutals, but I admire your turn around of tone. My apologies for getting "nasty".

Now, that said, I will be in Mexico for 10 days of dirt biking. I just don't want anyone to think I am "taking my ball and going home".

Hank Stram,

Sorry, I got distracted.

You picked the right day. Sunday traffic is the lightest. Thus, I would only hang around Manila if I wished to sample some of the spots there.

Customs/immigration will depend entirely on the numbers in front of you. The process itself is pretty painless.

Good trip.

I've been to LA Cafe many, many times as well as EDSA and P Burgos st many times as well. I won't repeat everything that's been said but there is serious mis-information going around about the area of Ermita and Malate. It is a totally safe and upscale (not compared to Makati, but compared to 95% of the rest of Manila) area. I always stay in the area, walk around at 2 and 3 in the morning, and never ever felt unsafe. I've lived in the Philippines for 2 years, so I know what is safe and what is not. Lots of mid priced hotels in the area, lots of tourists, lots of young locals out for a good time. I always go there at least once a day when I'm in Manilla. I just walk from my hotel and check it out. Sometimes lots of old hags, sometimes a young babe looking to make some money on the side. It just depends when you go.

My apologies for anyone I might have offended in my prior posts. I was more interested in entertaining with my posts than offending (though I more or less wrote my posts as a stream of consciousness). You’ll just have to chalk my assessments up to matters of personal taste.

You know, I was seriously concerned that I was being conned – that some of LA Café’s defenders had an interest – financial or otherwise – in it’s operation, and were using this board to promote the place. I’m guessing from the responses that this is not the case. Consequently, the attraction of the place is that much more perplexing to me. I gather from the responses that some people (perhaps a lot judging from my one trip there, since it was packed) truly enjoy the place. Vive la difference (so to speak).

If members of this forum might question my ability to negotiate ‘third-world’ countries, please note that my home is Hong Kong (I’ve lived here for over a decade and am settled) and my job involves extensive travel in Asia and the Middle East. I’d say I’ve spent the most time in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Dongguan, all good to great, but technically one of the last of two remaining second-world countries), Bangkok (a classic, you gotta love it), Jakarta and K.L. (can be more fund that Bangkok), Taipei, Seoul (no fun), Tokyo (expensive fun, first-world).

I’d not had the opportunity before to visit Manila (no business reason), which is why this was my first trip there. I’d say in terms of other cities I’ve visited, it is closest in appearance to Jakarta. But in Jakarta, the girls are more innocent, prettier (and I might add cheaper) than in PI. Jakarta has several LA Café type bars, but generally bigger. For me, the Stadium and Blok M bars (D's Place, Everest, TopGun and Bali Hai) are comparable, but much nicer for company and girls; LT rate around 400k rupiah ($45); Tanamour's and JJ’s for bottom feeding, but again too rough for me.

The real difference between Jakarta and Manila seems to me security; I’m more comfortable walking around Jakarta (no guns) whereas Manila is sinister and everyone seems to have an angle. I’ve been in rough situations (from barroom threats to a KTV ‘enforcer’ shaking me down once in Beijing) and so far have been able to talk my way out of bodily harm. I would have no problem negotiating an argument with any of the blokes I saw in the LA Café.

Perhaps, in my mind, the LA Café area is closest in character to Mexico. I spent four months in Cuernavaca, and thought the place similarly sinister, it is also surrounded by some of the same natural beauty as the PI countryside. In Cuernavaca I fell asleep each night with gunfire in the background, rival gangs shooting it out. Emelio Zapata’s statue adorned the central square. Firedick, I gather since you will be biking in Mexico, that you find it similarly attractive to the PI. Any differences we have may seriously be a matter of taste.

Even with the added information from this board, I’d be disinclined to visit LA Café again. I am truly and deeply perplexed how anyone could find it inviting or the girls in it attractive. I found it depressing and menacing and I found the neighborhood creepy – my insecurity augmented by the corrupt taxis that have you at their mercy. I haven’t come across anything similar elsewhere in Asia (though I’ve come close).

And the enticement of 500P beauty queens? I understand that we all may overstate and oversell sometimes; it’s human nature. Most girls I saw (and again, it may have been an off night) were ugly and pretty disgusting. Maybe it was the night I came – despite LA Café being packed and thus there being potential wide selection, to my eyes it was a dismal, sinister, low rent freak show. There is simply no reason to suffer the low quality and high risk (disease, guns, theft) when you could spend the time at Robinson Place, or when the P.Burgos and EDSA girls can be had for free if you talk them up and get their numbers in advance; they like being with Westerners. The opportunities are there for everyone. Again, it’s all a matter of personal taste.

Air Force One

One thing that I really liked and recommend you simply must try out in Manila is Air Force One, it is expensive, especially for you cheap charlie’s who know who you are but it’s worth at least one visit when you are in Manila. I came to learn of Air Force One in an earlier post and thought I would make time in between going to Manila and Angeles City to pass by and I do not regret my visit.

This is a very upmarket massage parlour and Karaoke lounge that is within a stones throw from the international airport and I would suggest after a long flight or before you depart you build in some time to stop here. Its modelled on an airport type service, so the comments with be along the lines: “are you ready for your flight sir?” inside there are no complaints about the facilities a great deal of black marble and smoked mirrors and its actually a very large facility. The first class room has a Jacuzzi for two or three people at a squeeze, and steam room inside the room plus a complimentary fruit bowl inside, but make sure the girls don’t eat out all the fruit before you get a chance.

OK the overall services are not so different for any other massage parlour but it does have some of the best looking girls you are likely to find in the Philippines and as suggested previous by an earlier poster, you should try the two girl option. This is the place to come if you are confused and cannot tell the difference between a girl who is a 4 or 8. I tried two girl package, twin, one a mezzanine looking girl, the other a darker girl from somewhere in Mindanao who came highly recommended by the staff; after picking them from behind a glass window, fish bowl where all the girls were sitting with numbers. I began with traditional style massage with oils, which was good, by the two girls both with fit bodies and then followed by the girls who have a good wash then once oiled up they will proceed to rub their bodies over yours for a short while until you tell them you are ready.

The girls will ask for a fee before they commence with the deed but I started off at 1,000 pesos (U$18) and settled on 1,800 (U$32) so it was up to them if they did a good job.

Prices for the three classes are as follows:

Economy Class
Promo Hour Regular Hour

75 Minutes

Regular Massage 1,000.00 1,300.00

Double Time 1,600.00 2,200.00

Twin 1,400.00 1,800.00

Business Class
90 Minutes

Regular Massage 1,800.00 2,300.00

Double Time 3,000.00 3,700.00

Twin 2,500.00 3,200.00

First Class
90 Minutes

Regular Massage 2,600.00 3,300.00

Double Time 4,300.00 5,700.00

Twin 3,600.00 4,300.00

Directions: Take a taxi to Sucat Road, just past the entrance of NAIA, when you pass Casino Filipino you are getting close, look out for, dear I say it, McDonalds golden arch, and its about 50 metres before you get there, head for the HSBC ATM and you will see a big sign for Air Force One and I have enclosed a photo below.

Details: Flight 168 Health Spa, 888 Ninoy Aquino Avenue, Paraòaque City tel: 820 7249 / 820 7250 / 820 7244 / 512 9705

Han Bali,

Honestly, I dont know what in the world you are talking about in your tales of horror from LA Cafe. Sinister? Menacing? Corrupt taxis? Please! Dude, I dont know what really happened to you there but it must have been something your not telling us. I am not slamming you, I am just completely perplexed. Its like you are describing some other place and are confused about where you were. Taxis are the easiest thing in the world. My God man, tell the driver to turn on the meter. If he wont do it, go to another taxi. What could be easier than that. Sinister? You scare easy or something dude, despite your trips around the world. Menacing? The most menacing thing in that bar was my hard cock. I scored some hot chicks in that bar, equal to what Juniour showed us in the photos from AC. Dont know where you were looking, or maybe it was the worst night in LA Cafe history.

Good luck to you next time.

Juniour

You actually got me hot describing Air Force One. I want those two broads rubbing their oily bodies all over me. Missed that place when I was there. Wont miss it the next time.

Guys Guys Guys!

Whats going on here. this is supposed to be an information board! You can either accept the information and take it on board or ignore it and do your own thing. Everyone is different and will have their own expectations, experiences and sometimes problems. LA cafe seems to be stirring things up so I thought I'd post a pic of a 20 yr old chinita I picked up there three weeks ago. There were quite a few others, including a waitress there who was gorgeous but I promised not to post her pic.

The reports here are for newbies to help them make their own minds up but you will only have your own experiences. I had a text from JR yesterday thanking me for the business he is getting from this board. Remember he is putting three kids thru school!

Keep up the great reports guys. Its certainly been entertaining reading over the past few days ! :)

Juniour,

Air Force One is Tops even with their above average prices but service is great especially the two-girl package. Always glad to make full use of the large bed. Never knew the lot could be that empty. I only go in the evenings and take a cab.

Since my Monday started bad, all this talk about AF1 makes me want to catch a plane back to Manila and take a short cab ride over from the airport.

You're taking my words out of context, Mikster. The bottom line is that I am unimpressed with LA Cafe. Given the many options available in Manila at very affordable prices, I can see no reason for going to LA Cafe, even if, a big IF, it gets much better than I saw. Given the diverse opinions voiced about it on this board, I think it's way more trouble than it's worth.

The difference in the price relates to the quality of the rooms, for the first class price you get a larger room with Jacuzzi and Steam room inside, sorry I didn’t have an opportunity to have a look in the other rooms, business or economy the reason being that on the day I visited I was actually flying out of the country and therefore this was part of my pre-flight preparation. Also, the economy has a different waiting lounge, to that of the first & business, as does every other airport in the world, so if you splash out on the first class option you won't have to rub shoulders with the riff raff in economy.

Hank Stram

Sorry, I couldn’t find anything similar to Air Force One in AC, but give it time; I am sure some entrepreneur will be looking at AC and thinking of offering a bit more quality to those of us that seek it against the regular quantity.

The only other problem with AC is Taxis are hard to find around Field Ave, therfore you have to rely on Jeepneys or tricycles to get around. But you can find some taxis at the entrance to Clarks Field; but even this makes it slightly difficult to move around the city after dark. However, car and motorcycle hire is relatively cheap is you’re the adventurous type – please post a report.

Pinay Lover

As my flight wasn’t until the late evening and I had just travelled down from AC all hot and sticky, on a coach, there was only one way to relax before a long night flight and that was AF1, so the photo was taken at around 5pm on a Sunday.

I look forward to reading some of your future post.

Hi Guys,
Well, I'll be heading back to the Philippines April 1st to the 3rd for a quick transit before heading off home. So if you want to have a beer in Manila drop me a PM.

I've been reading through the various posts about LA Cafe and thought I would make my own comments about it. I think my standards are relatively high, I am 26 and I am Asian so I honestly believe that I can rate Asian woman better than a non-Asian. I know every guy has his own tastes and this has been debated countless times but sometimes you non-Asian guys do not know what a good looking Asian girl is. Just my opinion, no insult intended.

I have been to LA Cafe about 5 times during my many trips to the Philippines. I usually stay at the City Garden Hotel, which is just a 5 minute walk from LA Cafe. Each time, LA Cafe has been a disappointment in terms of how the girls look. There are no knockouts there, maybe a couple of okay girls at best. Rating them okay is being genrous too. The one time I saw a decent girl there was the waitress who was getting me my drinks. Each time I went at various times of the night, I did not see a good selection. Of course you might be lucky and find a diamond in the rough but YMMV. Most of the time in LA Cafe I see older white guys trying their luck. I can honestly say the quality of looks at Edsa and any Casa, is by far greater than LA Cafe.

Fellas,

I'm with Dragon Slayer on this one, pay whatever you want. The only reason I bother with my rebuttals is for the newbies. Before my trip, reading this board probably saved me a ton of money that I otherwise would have blown. I like to let newbies know that they dont have to go down that road and they can pay a reasonable price and have a good time. Not all the guys here have alot of money and they want to be able to experience this stuff that alot of us take for granted. There is nothing wrong with a guy who doesnt make big bucks saving his money and going to paradise. Some guys here sound like elitists and think that if you cant pay P3000 for a short time you have no business going at all. That is rubbish. AC is one of the great all time good deals in the history of mongering and affordable for just about anyone. LA Cafe as well. I dont expect a 9 or 10 in LA Cafe for P500, but that is not a bad price for a girl who isnt going home with anyone else if I dont take her. This is NOT a charity. The regular girls that I met in Manila made an average of P3000 per month for their jobs. Most guys arent going to pay only P500 because they usually negotiate beforehand, a mistake in my opinion. It takes away from the GFE. Thats the great thing about LA Cafe. If you do it right, its like picking up a regular girl, even if you have to pretend a little. Most guys dont understand how much money P500 is to a filipina, they have no concept. Being from affluent countries, we tend to think that we have to treat filipinas the same way westernized women think they should be treated. Namely, having vast amounts of money spent on them because they think they deserve it for having sex with you and giving you the pleasure of their company. They are the real *****s of the world.

Anyway, the newbies can read and make up their own minds about what to do when they go. Its good to hear both sides.....

As you say, each man has his own taste. I don't think that the range of looks in either Edsa or P. Burgos is superior to that found on an average night in LA Cafe. The difference is that in the latter, there are a lot more women through whom to weed while looking for one who appeals to you. The other difference, of course, is that you do not have to expend a lot of money on ladies drinks while doing so. Perhaps my standards are not as high as yours, or perhaps our tastes merely differ, but I will be back in Manila tomorrow and back at the LA Cafe by 10 tomorrow night.

Here is some news from Manila, have been working here for the past few months after a two year absence. I see there are many posts to this forum, so I’ll try not to duplicate too much.

The Philippines is going through a severe economic slump right now, which creates both opportunities and difficulties for expats. On the plus side, the traditional night spots are virtually devoid of many customers and you can have your pick of the girls; on the con side the mamasans and more pushy than ever and so many of the really attractive girls have left the country for better opportunities abroad. But, there are diamonds in the rough, especially in the 17 to 19 year old group; if you look hard and discriminating.

I think the EDSA complex should be avoided, never seen so many ugly girls in one place. I walked out of two bars where I was the only customer and the mamasan kept pushing dogs on me relentlessly. Finally found an OK girl at the Cotton Club; nothing special but worth a few hours in the hotel. Burgos and QC are fine, still on the expensive side but many very young girls to choose from. I have noticed that many clubs will now negotiate bar fines, so don’t accept the first offer. Watch out for the old bait-and-switch: beautiful girls on stage to look at, while the mamasan pushes the ugly ones to buy drinks for and take home. If you don’t like what you see, move on, there are plenty of clubs to choose from.

I picked up a real jewel at one of the smaller clubs on Roxas, Visions I think: a 5 foot six inch doll, 45kg, and 17 years old stunningly beautiful: only cost me 1,000PhP for the bar fine and the same for the girl, well worth it. I kept her three days. But then again, she was the only one in the whole club worth looking at.

Anyway, enjoy!

if i can add my two cents worth here, i don’t know why you are so hung up on the la café, please tell us do you have shares in this place? fine, if you want to hang out there but for the rest of us we will choose to go to places that in our opinion offers a better selection of girls. in fact it would be better for you to keep la café as your favourite hang out and we will go elsewhere.

on the subject of “elitist” i have been coming to the philippines since 1989 and i have spent a majority of my time in cebu and mindanoa and unlike many of you i have actually lived in the homes of philippinos, some of whom basically have a two room hut with two electric bulbs, and no running water in them. so i am perfectly aware of the cost of living in the philippines but i think to an extent you have the view that you want to exploit the people. you travel half way around the world to bang a couple of old hooker and think that by giving her 500 pesos in the morning is actually helping the economy. let me assure you, i am not rich but i also believe in getting value for money and i certainly don’t want to pay more that i should for any service, but on the other side of the coin, i see no reason why if i get a good service that i shouldn’t pay for it. on my recent twenty odd day visit, i had budgeted “x” amount to spent when i left the philippines i had under spent about u$700 but yet i had done everything i had wanted and more.

if a girl provides me with a very good service, bbbj and the lot and i give her 3,000 pesos i can’t see what the problem is with this and why you were so excited that i had overpaid. please tell me what the japanese and koreans are paying for a similar service and i can assure you that its not 3000 pesos or 500 pesos, that you claim to pay.

in relative terms 3000 pesos (u$54) is still only 2,000 thai baht (u$50) the price you might get for a so so girl in thailand for short or long time, and in the us you would be lucky to find some crack head hooker to suck your dick for that, without having them trying to rob you in the process. when i posted my report i always deal with fact not fantasy if something bad happened i say it; isn’t this all about sharing information? some guys who post, not just on this board but in several others, pay the girls far higher than what they claim but yet, so as not to loose face among their peers claim they only paid a fraction of the price for a higher standard of girl for all night service – yes right.

on balanced and fair posting, please let’s keep a real here but when someone claims that the most beautiful girls to be found in manila, among the odd student supplementing their income is in la café - this is clearly not true. in fact after my visit to the la café i had to look up in a dictionary what the actual definition of “beautiful” was in case i was missing something. throughout my visit of bangkok and the philippines i always carried my camera to get photos, many of which i have posted, but on my visit to the la café i did not take one photo because there was nothing there worthy in my opinion.

i suggest if you want to see what a beautiful woman is like, as you obviously confused, you take a visit to rio, brazil and visit one of the termas centaurus without a doubt you will see beautiful women of all shapes and sizes and colours available.

what i and others would really appreciate is if you posted about your experience and not your opinions, if a man posts his experience and is honest enough to tell the truth you have no right to criticise someone for being honest as is the case of steve naieve.

mikster, if you really want to sell us la café, buy yourself a digital camera, post a good report submit the photos, let the audience decide. you remind me of this same guy who used to post on the fortaleza board who claimed this one club had the most beautiful women in brazil available for next to nothing, when i went there all i found were a few hardened pros and many girls, dangerously **** looking, all looking for twice the amount of what this guy "claimed" the going rate was. then you have others who claim to frequent these fictional clubs filled with hot beauties from all over the country, that is so secret they can't tell you where they are - why? because they don't exist. so please do us all a favour, just keep it real, you can keep the tall stories for your bar room buddies back home, but on this board let’s just concentrate with the truth, good or bad.

juniour

ps can i just add something written by someone earlier on this year:

GoodEnough,
I agree with you. Yes, there is more selection at Edsa or at a Casa so there will be more girls to someone's liking. To each his own but I just wanted to give my opinion on the place, that's it.

In terms of buying ladies drinks, I don't spend much money on those, I pretty much just browse on who I want and chat her up real quick and if I like her, barfine her. Why waste money for no reason.

Juniour,

Take it easy big fella, no need for a temper tantrum. The post was not intended for you, but the board as a whole. There must have been alot of truth in it to get you so hot under the collar. Perhaps you need to read my post again because you certainly came to conclusions that you made up on your own.

No, I dont own shares in LA Cafe, but you obviously have the minority opinion of the place. READ Juniour. I said I dont expect to get a 9 or 10 there, so how can I be getting the most beautiful girls in LA Cafe? I also never paid P3000 for a 40 minute trick including dinner. Is that what you were referring to when you lectured me on getting value for your money? Sorry I cant live up to your standards. hehehe

Please point out where I said the most beautiful girls are found in LA Cafe. If you cant, then admit you are a liar.

So I would need to go to Rio to find a beautiful girl. You dont think much of the filipinas do you?

One more point, for a guy claiming to have lived in the RP for some time, you appear to not have learned much about the demographics. You make the outrageously ridiculous assertion that 7 girls are being born to every boy. The ratio of men to women in the RP is right at 50-50. Is this what you meant when you said you deal with fact, not fantasy? Tell us another one of your facts.

I posted my trip reports already so wrong again Juniour.

ALOT of people fly halfway around the world to bang a girl for P500 my friend so your dissing the majority of people who go to the RP because most take a trip to AC. Its not different than paying P500 at LA Cafe. If you read my accounts (which obviously you did not because you told me to post a trip report, then quoted one of my trip reports, figure that out) you would also note that if the girl made a fuss I would give her a bit more. One night I did a repeater and gave her P1000. I know thats chump change in your book, you pay that much for 5 minutes but we cant all keep up with your generosity.

Dude, I read my recent post again and I cant figure out what your problem with it is. Never mentioned your name a single time. If you want to keep things civil, then dont call me out with misinformation and outright lies. Ok?

I'm done with you. Dont go back to AC, you wouldnt want to exploit those poor girls at P500 per. You're above that.

Fellas,

According to the CIA world factbook, there are approximately 1.05 males born to every female. The boys outnumber the girls in the phillipines by about a half million from 0-14 years of age. The girls outnmumber the boys by a slightly lesser amount from 15-25 years of age. Dont believe the hype that guys like to give that says there are 7 women to every guy in a country, its simply untrue. It boggles the mind how someone could actually believe this, and then post it as fact.

I used to travel to South American quite a bit, mostly to Peru and Colombia, one trip to Sao Paolo and a few days in Rio. The hottest chicks in the RP stack up quite nicely against anything I saw down there and much sweeter as well, in my opinion. To each his own.

Concerning 7 girls to one boy in philippines. I guess Junior get it from the AIR.

But the fact are if you going around you will see much more girls compareing to boys. Go to a mall like SM it is a que in the side for the girls the boy side are empty.

I appreciate your response, and I agree with it. However, I do not ever pay bar fines, which may be why I prefer places like LA Cafe. I am also finding that I tend to "shop" a lot less the more I'm here because I've managed to maintain a few friendships simultaneously, so I'm not paying (at least directly) for the sex.

Juniour:

I don't mean to belabor this or to get on your case, but I think that the quality available at LA (or pretty much anywhere else I've been here) depends strictly on the night and your time of arrival. Thus, it's more a matter of chance than location. As to the prices you pay, I think it's up to you and no one else's business. I'm sure that the the girls who get the PhP3,000 are appreciative and that, for the most part, the money really does go to support their families. In my opinion, there's no need to get defsensive about it.

Visit to Manila, March 14th 2004

I called JR, (phone previously listed) and he was clear and understood that I wanted a girl for the night.

He said he would turn up at my room at 7: 00pm with two girls. Asked for 25-35, average to slim and not too dumb.

They arrived on time, and jr arrived a few minutes later. I choose the slightly older one as I wanted to have dinner first and don't like the obvious stares from westerners that I am just another dirty old man with a young girl.

Had a great time and was really impressed with the affection and the sex was great to. In the morning she wanted to wash me and she did, its very appealing.

Had meetings that day but she came back that night. We had dinner again and that evening the emotions got deeper and I can understand why people do fall in love. She said I was kind and thoughtful. Perhaps there is a plus being older!

After dinner we went to the bar with live music. There was a guy on his own, but one waitress sat with him and a few minutes later they left together. Talk about Asian hospitality!

Cost was 4,000 peso and jr does run a big and slick operation.

Mikster,

Its quite interesting to see your recent last three posts, for the benefit of all those people who are not interested in reading them, why didn’t you put this into one post? Not everyone wants to read about, whatever you were going on about.

But once again, do us all a favour and when you visit the Philippines again why don’t you post a report, buy yourself a digital camera and include the photos, is this really so difficult?

Reading the past few posts, I have to conclude that Mikster has lost credibility and has stepped over the line into irresponsible posting. Completely.

Junior has, as he has observed, provided objective reports, and pictures' His attitude has been one of letting the reader decide.

Mikster's response has in contrast been hectoring and to some extent dissembling, taking words out of context, and generally offering demeaning and unconstructive insults., eg."Get your facts straight before you come out to play with the big boys. BTW, stay away from the riff raff in coach."

Tell me, honestly. What good does this sort of irresponsible posting do anyone?

Goodenough,

I agree with you about LA Cafe. I have basically said the same thing several times. You wont find hot girls there every night, its very much a hit or miss place depending on each individuals standards and what they are looking for. Sometimes you can go in early and find plenty of hot chicks, but the guy who shows up two hours later may find very little. What is hot is also very much up to the individual. One asian guy wrote a post saying we, as westerners, dont really know what is a good looking asian girl. Well, I say whatever makes me hot is what is good looking to me. On my trip to Manila and AC last February, I didnt always go for the hottest girls. Sometimes a girl who is a 6 or 7 does it for you for whatever reason. Maybe its a certain slutty look that you like, or maybe she looks like she will fuck you to death or maybe she has gigantic tits. Whatever, it doesnt matter as long as the guy paying is happy. All I know is that I banged two very hot chicks from LA Cafe and it didnt take me very long to find them. I saw better on P. Burgos and AC, but its all relevant to what a guy wants and is looking for.

Han Bali,

I have tried to be done with this juniour character, I even said so. When he lies/gives false information I think I have the right to set the record straight. If you want to see over the line I could post an email he sent to me, but that WOULD be over the line.

If you think my posts are over the line, then you obviously havent read much of the archives on this and various other boards. You cant be that PC dude. I think you have chosen sides since me and another guy were making light of your fun in Manila. Maybe we can all try not to take things so personally from now on. I, for one, would like to be done with this starting now.

Pay what you want. Go where you want. But if we make outrageous/false statements then consider someone will probably call us on it. That includes me.

Not really, Mikster.

The LA Cafe thread has grown a bit silly, no doubt. But it keeps being extended because your statements about the LA Cafe are clearly misleading.

I offered my own observations in an early post. You're flattering yourself if you think your rebuttals were witty; honestly, accusations of 'hatespeak' and 'riffraff' along with condescensions like 'get some balls' are pedestrian and heavyhanded. If that is as witty as you get, why should I ever be offended at all by them.

The problem as I see it is that you've changed your story several times on the LA Cafe, and people like Juniour feel compelled to set the record straight.

I would tend to agree that you probably have some financial interest in the place. I mean, just look at the incentives (given what I can surmize of your values from prior postings). If you actually went to LA Cafe to partake of the talent, then you wouldn't want others to know so there would be more left for you.

Instead, you've fallen into a mean-spirited and somewhat desperate hectoring of anyone who seems to want to present a balanced report on LA Cafe. I experienced the place myself on a busy night, and it was mainly seedy old guys hoping to score with some of the rougher Manila trade. Yuch! Not anything I would recommend to my friends.

I don't think that you can responsibly claim the moral high ground in idle assertion that you are providing newbies with unbiased information. Your 'concern' seems a bit hollow and self-serving. Everything points to you having some sort of financial interest in the LA Cafe.

Okay guys,

To ease this, "LA cafe sucks! No it doesn't!" debate, I have a SIMPLE question about the airport. Do the domestic or international airport have a overnight baggage service?

If so, how much?

Okay, that's ALL I need to know, but continue the debate :).

Han Bali,

The riff raff comment was made my you know who in one of his latter posts on how to have a successful trip to the RP. I think its in the AC area. I noted that the comment was his terminology, but you have conveniently glazed over that fact which I pointed out to you in a private email. I could care less who goes to LA Cafe, but I also want to let newbies know thats its a place they can go rather than the complexes, brothels, or street. I have been absolutely consistent about my opinion of the place. Never said the best was there and admitted I never got a 9 or 10 there either. If you take the time to read everything and not conveniently forget what you dont want to remember then you would present a more balanced post.

Its water under the bridge. Im finished with you and him. The board can decide what they want to do without us engaging more, and decide who is more credible. No hard feelings guy. Take care.

Guys! This LA cafe thread really is making entertaining reading!

can someone please explain to me what a 9 or 10 is? Or any number preceding? Come on guys, evryone has there own ideas about what a beautiful girl is. Why not just post the reports and let everyone make up their own minds. personally although i often promote JR and his girls from the casas, i think it is a great way for people to find their way around safely. now however i like LA cafe and contrary to what HAN BALI thinks. (quote : and it was mainly seedy old guys hoping to score with some of the rougher Manila trade. Yuch!) i must totally disagree. I have spent many evenings in LA and have met a lot of guys younger than me(im 40) but again, who cares. The girls are fun, the staff are friendly(and available) and its safe, whatever some guys have been posting.

Guys, live and let live, not everyone likes to eat balut.! Doesnt mean it tastes bad.:)

What is the point? Manila is a very entertaining city. This is where everyone comes to make money. I love the music in Manila. It is a fun place to be, if you know where to go.

Let look at LA Cafe. There is live music, maybe not the best, but Jackie trys to put some good bands there. There are some real good pool players there, and there is a certain time they come to play. At times, there are some good looking women there, but not much, but some. One can talk, or not talk to the women there, any women. Just take YOUR pick!! Where could you really do this in your country? C'mon, guys. You know this is true.

Combine it all, and you have good, to great entertainment, or time, and if you get a little something, Hey, then that is great! It doesn't matter, if the guys, are young, or old. You're there to entertain yourselfs. Let put it this way, young, or old. One still has to pay. Yes, sometime the young guy can get away with not paying, but try that is Thailand. Those girls won't go for that shit! Maybe once or twice for Free, but they will ask you. That is what they are!

Some people like the girls at the MP, strip show, fish bowl, SW, escort service, provided by Pimps, referrals from friends, or whoever, and freelancers. Whatever they like, let it be.

It is a matter of choice!

Some people like to shop at Macys, while the other shops at target. Some of the products is the same, while some are not. The product that are the same, will cost different in both places, why? Marketing, locations, and they way we view things.

This is my opinion on this. Everyone needs to stop this, and move out to what they are really here for.

Hi everyone,

Just spent a week in Iriga City, Camarines Sur. Noting to report because asawa was always with me. She's staying an extra week there as I am flying out Saturday Morning. I fly back into Manila on Friday, staying at the Manila Pavilon. If anyone wants to hook up and go out, PM me. I am thinking of LA Cafe in the evening. Is there any activity during the day there? If not I will be stopping at the Robinson's mall in the morning to see if anything happens. When there with asawa, lot of girls were staring when I was alone, but I was afraid to approach with asawa around.

Hope to meet someone,

Sheeesh what a silly debate were having here. The L.A. Cafe is ok for a jumping off point. If your looking for a super model...it's not the place to go. If your just wanting to have a beer and some fun. It's a good spot to go.

Personally I think the most fun with the ladies is to be had outside of Manila. There's not as much of the hustle and lots of cuties to pick from.

I can make some criticisms of Burgos and EDSA. Lots of good looking babes there. No doubt. But lots of attitude and hustle to.

Personally I try to find a gal who is both hot and sweet and fun to be with and try to talk her into getting the hell out of Manila for some time at the beach. Aint had any say no yet! :-)

To Whom It May Concern,

Old Pampangan wise man say: "Do not accept invitation to mud-wrestling contest with pig. All get dirty; pig is happy."

Though the adjective "silly" sure does hit the mark, I actually don't think any sort of a debate has been had by anyone, and I don't think the unsavory odor on the board the past two weeks has been about LA Cafe, Manila, Filipinas, the RP, or anything else. A few emotionally immature loudmouths recently blew into town and immediately provoked a childish flame war, hijacking this board from everyone else. It isn't about anything of substance at all, just a few individuals' desire to make noise for no particular purpose, using whatever pretext is at hand. My take is that the original motivation is similar to the deviant thrill a vandal gets from his fleeting illusion of importance when he throws a rock through his neighbor's window. I think nearly all of us look forward to the few ill-mannered children blowing back out of town so this useful resource can return to it's former status as a helpful means of information sharing among civil adults in an atmosphere of mutual respect.

I see that through similarly confrontational intemperate remarks one of the participants has managed to engage in similar disputes on three continents in four months. For me that explains the mystery of how it was so easy for one to become so authoritative on how things really are in Manila in less time than it took to refuel the plane he came in on. I suspect that an attempt to clean up this kind of thing through tactful discourse, reasoned appeal, and direct substantive reply to the individuals will prove about as productive as trying to vacuum a cat. Allow me to suggest that silence and deliberate neglect may eventually suffice where a normal healthy sense of shame is apparently absent. One of them may feel contrite about rising to the bait after a few weeks of calm reflection. The others can just be elsewhere. So many continents, only so much adolescent arrogance to spread around. I think the Antarctic board may be just dying for some jazzing up with some dismissive corrections from overnight experts. Bon voyage, and if you need help with your bags a great many folks will be pleased to oblige, sirs.

Just two Centavos worth from a wastrel.

Gentlemen,

I finally got the chance to see the LA Cafe for myself recently. I was in Manila for a few days and remembered seeing something on this forum about the place (Though the great debate had not begun yet). I was lucky that a colleague knew where it was (about a km from my hotel), and he'd already chatted up the waitresses and knew a little about the mechanics of the place.

My only complaint about the "cafe" is that they were out of Crispy Patas the one night we really wanted them. To their credit, We talked Mike (night mgr) in to going across the street to Jurassic Park and seeing if they had any. No luck.

Of the three nights I was there (Left early one night to scope out the action in other realms), two of those nights I was accompanied back to my hotel by a nice young lady.

The first night it was a nice looking single mother who cared for her grandfather, had an invalid grandmother, dead parents and her birthday was tomorrow (Go figure!) Even though I didn't fall for the lines, we had a good time for a couple reasons:

1. She fed me french fries (I love this).
2. She stated early on that she was a freelancer.
3. She could name the artists singing the songs playing before I could.

She had a great face and nice body and said the price was going to be up to me as to what I wanted to pay, depending on my satisfaction.

So we left, went to the hotel and had a great time.

Next night was the night that the waitresses seemed VERY friendly, leaning on me, hanging around my table, joking and of course, rubbing my shoulders. I was tempted to take one home (Melinda? Melissa?) but there was this ONE girl a few tables away that was just enchanting. She had been chatted up by 5 different guys before I asked Melinda about her. I found out that she used to be a waitress at the LA Cafe, but was no longer working.

This girl was just TOO cute. Younger than I normally pay attention to but old enough to have a very sexy look. Melinda went over and told her that I was interested and it only took a few minutes for her to come over. This should say a lot. Any other girl in the place would have been there the second I looked at her twice.

Her name is Karen and she looked even younger up close, and shy was a bit shy at first but she too, liked to feed me french fries.

After talking for awhile, and not even discussing money, we went back to the hotel. Had a very nice time again, though she was a bit shy and not as experienced as the girl the night before.

So, since I don't want to fuel the debate, I'll just do what I should do, add a few photos:

Cute post, wastrel. And on target so far as characterizing the mud-slinging on the now notorious LA Café. Though it may not have been information bearing (the purported purpose for this board) I think that readers probably enjoy our 'debate'. The board hasn’t been ‘hijacked’ yet, but there are some loud passengers on board.

I just discovered WSG Forum, and think it’s a great resource. It should be entertaining as well as informative (and judging from Jackson’s bandwidth problems is both). Nothing wrong with a few brawls to keep the readers enthused.

Interesting that you brought up the point on 5 continents – Juniour DOES seem to get around. I enjoy his posts: they are informative, often with pics. Mikster and Dragon Slayer, on the other hand are local boys – it seems they spend all their travels in Manila.

So I suspect a different dynamic is at work: Juniour and I came into a small town (Manila) and reviewed it from a more urbane perspective. Looking back at the posts, I think both of us provide lots of info with an objective voice.

But, in a small town, you don’t simply waltz in and impugn the beauty of the local girls. Even if they are fat, ugly and hairy, they may be someone’s sister.

Mikster and Dragon Slayer (by Mikster’s own admission) disliked our observations on the PI, yanked our chains with some well placed aspersions, and we pushed back. Nothing personal, just alpha male behaviour (wouldn’t you expect that on a forum called World Sex Guide / ).

What now / The LA Café thread is tedious. I’ll have to find something else in the PI to disparage. It shouldn’t be too hard, given that the PI is the low rent neighborhood of Asia. I’d rather be in China (and am, by gosh! ). Yeh, English and Spanish (the locals call it Tagalog) are spoken in the PI, so it’s more like being in LA (the city, not the café). But the girls are cuter, less hirsute and cleaner in China, Thailand, etc.

Oh, sorry, was that your sister / Ouch!

Han Bali
03-26-04, 04:33
Kudos, Wiley. You’ve finally added some objectivity to the ‘debate’ (though I use that word guardedly). And Karen is cute; she’s got my approval.

Well, it’s clear to me from recent discussions in pursuit of 500P Manila beauty queens that beauty truly IS in the eye of the monger. Here’s the problem. Those of you conversant in psychometrics know that 10-point scales (what are known as Likert scales in the lingo) are verboten, because they have a mid-point (5 for the mathematically challenged). An acceptable Likert scaling (see http://trochim.human.cornell.edu/kb/scallik.htm) requires an odd number, preferably 5 or 7 points.

Therefore as a public service, I want to put forth my modest proposal for a uniform 5-point Likert scale for barroom beauties. This should greatly reduce confusion in future posts. (For the mathematically challenged, divide your 10-point valuation by 2 to get the Likert ranking).

Reference benchmark for Manila mongering (with LT charge):

1=Manila wetmarket poultry (100P), and wear a condom as there are nasty strains of Avian flu floating around Manila. Oh, and cook well before eating.

2= Charlize Theron in “Monster” or your average Filipina domestic (500P-1000P), bring your own condom

3=Karen, or the better P. Burgos girls (1000P-5000P), best to slip on a raincoat

4= Quezon City superstars (5000-20KP), condoms optional

5= Charlize Theron at the Oscars (if you need to ask, you can’t afford it)

Flame away!

Wiley,

A big thank you for your unbiased opinions and observations, I am with Han Bali on this one, we should have a few varied opinions about various venues and leave it up to the audience to decide and not try to impose your opinions on others.

One problem through the whole of this board is that of the proliferation of ”False Information” and let me tell you I have seen some really wild claims; some of these people that make these claims should be man enough to at least back up their claims, instead of saying: "just take my word for it". These guys claim to find the 8s & 9s beauties and spend all night with them and pay them pittance, if that, when they kick them out in the morning, (their words not mine) then when you questions them about their claims they get all defensive. I asked to see the photos of this “so-called” beauty queen and one guy said the girl, he’d paid only 500 Pesos to didn’t want him to show them to anyone,(where did he leave his balls?) like she is really sitting there at home on her computer, searching the net for her image; also conveniently forgetting that he could also have masked their identity, like I have done and not have given their correct names – So obviously when people read this information, who have been to these places themselves and seen what is really on offer, you can bet we’re sceptical and suspicious about such claims?

The whole idea about this board is to share your experiences, “good or bad”, not your tall stories; there are plenty of other channels for that.

Only one thing though Han Bali; Miskster has only been to the Philippines once, earlier this year for a couple of weeks – so this hardly ranks him as a local boy or expert, despite his high opinion of himself.

So thanks Wiley – just loved your post, so I guess that’s one up for the LA Café.

Juiniour

Oh and before anyone pipes up about my conclusions in the Angeles City board about “seven girls to one guy”, I admit its more of a phrase than fact, if you want to string me up in Manila Bay and gives me 10,000 lashed at dawn for my indiscretions, then so be it guys; but I post about my experiences. That’s all I have to say on the subject.

Fellas,

I thought me and Juniour had this thing worked out over on the AC board, but he cant seem to let it go. I dont want to start anything again, but he seems to think his opinion is superior to mine.

He was just recently lecturing me on the morality, exploitation, and how to treat women. I told him that I didnt post the photos because the girls who's photos I took, asked me not to post them. They were worried they would end up on a porn site or something so I havent done it. So, if I did post them after promising not to juniour, wouldnt this be exploiting them as you seem so against? They didnt say post my photo, but black out my face, they asked me NOT to post them. So I didnt. If you dont believe my exploits in AC, go to the Ponderosa Hotel next time and ask about Mike from USA who had the ladies parked outside the entrance at all times waiting for him. The people who work there know about my escapades.

So you are saying that there are no beauty queens for P500. Let me nicely remind you, since you dont seem to remember, that the barfine in AC is P1000 and the girl gets P500. So you are paying P500 for the girl. Do you understand this juniour? Do I need to explain this in greater detail so you can understand fully? Therefore, you are saying there are no 8, 9, or 10 girls in AC? Ok, sorry you had such bad luck but that doesnt apply to the rest of us. So juniour, saying lots of men pay P500 for hot girls is a FACT not opinion. Get it?

As far as mininformation, I havent given any. They are my opinions, and they jive with the majority of the members on this board who overwhelmingly agree with me about LA Cafe and what you can get there. You on the other hand made a statement of fact that there are 7 girls born to every boy. This was not your opinion, you wrote it in bold face and underlined it if I remember correctly. There are other examples, but I will leave it at that.

There is no such thing as an unbiased opinion, including yours and mine. We all have biases so unbiased reporting does not exist.

As far as being an expert, I believe just about anyone can become an expert at AC in a very short time. There isnt that much to learn, except in your case maybe when you start dating so called regular girls there and buy them things and believe everything they tell you. Maybe you do have more to learn. So, I am not on expert on Manila, or Makati, or other areas, but one trip goes a long way and I felt quite comfortable there after two weeks. I certainly didnt go to LA Cafe and act like a pussy as you did and feel threatened or defame everyone in there by lumping all the patrons into one disreputable category. Is this how you respect the people of the RP my friend?

Your right about one thing though, I do have a very high opinion of myself and so do the ladies. They can see I am a man who is not stupid enough to pay P3000 for 40 minutes including dinner.

Final question. You continually get on my shit for not having a regular girl in the RP. You live there for many years, you claim. What the name of you regular girlfriend? What was such a veteran of the RP and a guy who respects morality and hates exploitation of women doing in AC P4P? I may be back over there soon, when you going again? Lets hook up.

Mikster

PS: Remember your private message to me? About the terrorists and how we should stop talking about LA Cafe? Dont you think posting all your reports about AC will only cause the threat to increase there? hehehehehehe

Tiger74,

NO. There is no overnight baggage storage in all airports in the Philippines, Domestic or International. Why do you need that?

Wastrel
03-26-04, 22:53
Tiger,

No, I don't think so. I am not the best one to answer this, since I never check bags on airplanes, so if one of the locals gives a different response in time for your trip listen to them, not me. But I would be very surprised if there was any provision for storage at the airport, and even more surprised if anyone actually used it.

On flights across the big pond I have learned to become a firm believer in the two major categories of baggage: carry-on and lost. NAIA is very much a third world airport, with all the, ahem, "eccentricities" that go with that. Not long ago Her Excellency the President of the RP publicly admonished airport workers to please stop driving flashy luxury vehicles and wearing so much expensive jewelry to work, as it doesn't look good to the public. These individuals' actual salaries are less than many westerners spend on pet food. Baggage from first world countries is apt to get especially careful (and time consuming) "inspection" and valuable contents are notoriously vulnerable to getting "lost" somewhere between wheels down and your waiting arms. The Philippine threshold for what is valuable enough to "disappear" (used as a verb) is considerably lower than what many westerners would imagine. I suggest one might want to pack accordingly.

Hey guys, I literally just returned from the Phils yesterday, and as a faithful monger should, I'm posting my re-cap. Keep in mind, this was my first trip ever to this country:

PART 1

Flew into Manila Wed night and, after checking into my hotel (guys, stay at Atrium in Pasay if you want big clean rooms for $25US/night) I took a cab directly to LA Cafe. There were a lot of girls there although it was more like 2:1 ratio and not the 7:1 some guys have posted. 95% were of the typical short, brown-skinned variety which doesn't appeal to me, so I sat down in the section where there were a ton of korean guys and the more expensive girls. To make a long story short, I picked up a cute, 23 y/o chick for P2000 all-night, but she turned out to be a lousy lay and I gave her P1500 after 1 hr cuz I didnt like her "all about money" attitude. So my 1st night w/ a pinay was disappointing, but hey, at least I got my rocks off (barely) after just 3 hours in the country. I didn't go to La Cafe again as the women were just too mediocre in the looks department for me although they did have a very good band that night.

The next day, I met up with a college girl who I had met on Yahoo a coupla months ago. We were to meet at Glorietta mall but she was caught in traffic so I decided to walk around this gigantic shopping center. Boy am I glad I did! There were TONS of hot girls everywhere and that's saying a lot coming from a picky 27 y/o asian guy like myself. Anyway, these chicks looked way better than the girl I was to meet and they were definitely eyeing me back, but being the gentleman that I was, I didnt ditch the 1st girl. She turned out to be cute in a little girl sorta way but she was really shy and conversation was like pulling teeth, although her english was quite good. Anyway, we had lunch and then walked around the mall a bit before I told her I need to head back to my hotel and "rest" since I didnt see much happening from this. To my surprise, she gave me this transparently weak story that she has no place to sleep tonight because her cousin (whom she stays with) is mad at her, and if she could sleep on the couch in my room tonight. Obviously, I didnt refuse, so we ended up in my room watching TV for like 2 hrs while doing some light flirting which led to a little tickling match which in-turn led to me stroking her arms and legs while "objectively" commenting on the smoothness of her skin. Anyway, taking it through these somewhat arduous stages really paid off as we ended up kissing and me teaching her how to french kiss which she really enjoyed. After a few mins, things really started getting hot and heavy and titty-action ensued which is always a good sign for things to come. Anyway, when I tried to finger-check Mr. Clam, she suddenly grabbed my arm so I thought that was as far as she was willing to go. But she told me she was actually just afraid of pain because it had hurt the 3 times she had had sex. Relieved, I assured her that I would be gentle and proceeded on, happy for the green light. No wonder it hurt her - she was unbelievably TIGHT! It helped that she was wet enough to create a little puddle on the sheets, but I could still barely fit "the head" in. Some grinding action got things going, however, and I had a lot of fun teaching her different positions and ways to get off, etc. Basically, we stayed in bed all night and did it 2 more times in the morning before I sent her on her way after breakfast. I hadn't even realized until that morning that I hadn't even had dinner the previous night, hehe. Anyway, it was fun since she was into it as much as I and it was free (not counting $5 I spent for lunch and breakfast). But, things went downhill fast.....

(to be continued...)

Han Bali,

When I get some "free time" I will teach you to read, if it is at all possible. I just returned from Mainland China and Hong Kong. I speak four (4) languages. I am now studying Pudongkwan (Chinese for the uninformed). What languages? Thai, Japanese, Spanish (english) and some vasayan. I have been making plans to be in all these places in April - July (Japan, Thailand, Philippines, China, HK & Panama City, Panama).

Mikster,

Okay Juniour will just NOT QUIT. Lake a "bad infection" that keeps resurfacing. Draw comfort from his "chosen name". It is Dodong in Vasayan. Dong also is used for the word cock in Vasayan (correct word being otin).

Pal, forget the guy. If he names himself after a "cock' you cannot expect him to behave like he was a Rocket Scientist or Nurosurgeion. Take solace that in the way he spends money, unless he is extremely wealthy or earning the salary of a Neuro Surgeon, he will not be making too many trips.

For Han Bali, Juniour and the other Rookies, Vasayan is the name of the language spoken in the Vasayas and most of the Mindanao, including my favorite place, Davao.

Be back in 4 weeks.

DragonS,

It's PuTongHua (where did you ever get Pudongkwan?) and means 'the common language.'

(BTW, that's Chinese for the congenitally clueless)

Here's another addition to your limited vocabulary (Hey, no charge buddy):

Dork= a sperm whale's penis

We also apply it to guys who pronounce PuTongHua (the correct PinYin) as Putongkwan. Talk to your instructor about a refund.

DS,

Minor correction ..... it should be Visayas and the language is Visayan. There are actually 3 major dialects in the visayas region, and from what you used, it is Cebuano which is the dialect of the Cebu & Bohol region. Waray is the language of Leyte and Samar. Western Visayas usually speak Ilonggo (except for Aklan province, which has its own dialect Aklanon). Both Cebuano and Ilonggo dialects are also used in several places in Mindanao.

The region is Visayas.
The language is Visayan.
The people can be referred to as Visayan, but is more correctly referred to as Visaya (or Bisaya if pronounced by Filipinos).

It should also be PutongHwa for the chinese language you are referring to (that is, Mainland Chinese). A similar dialect is known as Mandarin, which is used by Taiwanese and overseas chinese speaking the national dialect. The chinese dialect used in the Philippines is locally referred to as Hokkien (or A-Mng) because most PI chinese came from the Xiamen region of China.

My apologies for the long language lesson.

Hey Guys,

Why are you so touchy, I made a few observed comments and you both react, right on cue, Dragon Slayer and Mikster do the both of you believe you are the voice of reason on this board? The only ones who can have an opinion here and you get upset if someone doesn’t agree with your views.

Really you should not be taking up bandwidth with such drivel, it more appropriate if you guys actually posted informed posts here or leave it to others like Wiley & Stace, who I see also went to the LA Café and paid what….1,500 Pesos for a girl from there, which is exactly what I paid, for a lousy lay from there, what’s going on here guys?? (another newbie overpaying or what?)

Sorry guys I cannot compete with you, I only speak four languages but take my advice I think you should really concentrate on the English because you have some problems here, quoting things out of context, (I suggest you go back and read the posts again, then read it again until you fully understand, what it actually says) but that’s what happens with when you are obviously full of yourself.

Dragon Slayer you are right on one thing though, no I will not be making too many trips to the Phils because the world is too big a place and as I have to opportunity to travel to other locations on the globe I might as well go and see some other places and test out more claims of some other guys just like you. And you don't need to be a rocket scientist to do that.

Genius8,

I am too tired to respond properly now. Later. Have you EVER been to Leyte? Have you EVER been throughout Mainland China?

I have a HOME on Leyte. YES, A HOME Grasshopper. Currently building one right on the beach. No I DO NOT own it as I am an American citizen. Belongs to my Daughter and her Mother jointly. I just PAY for everything. Wari IS NOT spoken there. It is Spoken in Tacloban City and that area. Do not believe me. I will have my little Daughter talk to you in perfect, fluent Vasayan. Not a word of Wari.

Grasshopper, read my prior Posts before commenting. Save you a lot of embarrassment.

What the f--- do you think pudognkwan is Grasshopper? Did you ever go into China? I just returned from my third trip of 1-2 weeks in the last 7 months. If you read my Posts in Shenzen China you would know I have a girlfriend in her final year of medical school in China.

Another who really named himself correctly.

For Juniour and Hans Bali or whatever, I just don't like you making foolish assumptions of someone who has spent half his life in Southeast Asia. I had a Thai Wife 16 years ago. Got that Hans? I had an apartment in Thailand for a year. I go there 4-5 times a year still.

Juniour, I said it already. Pay whatever you want for the ladies. DO NOT EVER call me cheap Charlie. I put one Girl in Leyte (not my woman who is from a wealthy family) through five (5) years of College. I paid for everything, including room and board. I am now puttilng a little girl throug a very expensive, private school She is not mine but a cousin of my daughter. Has a Loser Father who will not work. Family is "fed up" with him. Has to support him and his Family as it is. But the little girl is deserving of a good education like my own Son and Daughter get.

The Philippines is my "true love" of ALL countries of the world. I Post here becasue I want to Post here. To please everyone I will stop and Post in China, Hong Kong, Thailand and Japan.

Back in the Philippines in 25 days. Buy you a drink Juniour. Or, dinner/drinks at my Place on Leyte.

DS,

Not to split hairs but:
I have been to Tacloban City.
Waray is what Leyte and Samar people are normally referred to.
It is also what their local dialect is called.
I speak fluent Ilonggo.
I understand Cebuano.
I have very good friends from Samar and understand when they talk in their native dialect, although this was years ago.

Just to make it clear, Visayas is composed of Eastern and Western Visayas. So any one of the several major dialects qualify as visayan language. Easter Visayas have waray, cebuano, and hiligaynon as the major dialects. Western Visayas have Ilonggo, Aklanon, Capiznon, as the major dialects.
And I have lived in the Philippines over 20 years.

I also speak fluent Hokkien (Fil-Chinese dialect) and Mandarin.
I have mainland chinese friends, and can converse with them in english or putonghwa.

genius8,

Thanks for the language lesson. Asides the different dialects in every region there are dozens of sub-dialects for each smaller townships, too. Like in Surigao City were their Visaya sub-dialect is called Suriganon. I also understand Mandarin but speak it with difficulty.

Stace,

Thank you for your post. It is a welcomed relief and break here.

Han Bali,

The Philippines isn't the low-rent of Asia. Check Cambodia and Laos. Girls there go for $5 or less and is really "primitive" or "native".

Juniour,

Enjoyed your post and too bad about your experience with the L.A. Cafe. But the place is a 50-50 and I am a patient man with time to kill. Hope you get to come back and check out other places asides Manila and Angeles City when you decide to come back. Lets put this all behind.

DS,

Relax and enjoy your stay in China. Hopefully all this will be over and this thread will be back to normal. You have Davao all staked out and Manila is changing. L.A. Cafe has lost some of its luster but it still holds a few gems for those who know how to work her. Hopefully I get to meet you and Goodenough down there in Davao since I'm stationed right now just 8 - 10 hours to the north in Cagayan de Oro City.

Tiger 74,

G'day.

I am not sure if a "left over baggage department" is the same a the left luggage department, but there is definitely a facility where you can store your luggage overnight at the PAL International Airport as I used it for 5 days just recently. It cost 150 Pesos ( about US$2.70) per day.

I am also fairly certain that the same type of facility is available at the other international airport as well as I used it also but some 10 years ago. Sorry but I don't know about the domestic airport.

Hopefully this is of some assistance to you.

Westin is within short distance both to LA Cafe/Ermita/Malate and the EDSA Complex (less than 10 minutes).
The hotel is "friendly, but the ladies will normally have to register after 22:00 or 23:00 in the evening.

Are the places you mentioned 10 minutes walking or by car? I have read much about these two places on this board and will most likely try both.

After sampling 5 different flavors of lovelies in Hong Kong last week, I would like to find one young local beauty to make my week fun and comfortable. I arrive late Friday night and will probably have to hit the closest night spot since I arrive at the hotel around 1 AM.

Most estimates re time on this board will normally be for wheels, and so was mine :) The Westin hotel-taxi is safe at that hour of night, and cost about PhP 150 (USD.3) to EDSA (fixed price, and you ask for the rates at the taxi-desk outside the hotel. EDSA close about 3AM if I remember correctly. If you go there just before closing-time, you chat up the girl and ask her to see you afterwards. Agree to have her meet you outside of Heritage hotel, which is 3 minutes WALK, and across the street. This way you dont have to pay the bar-fine to the club. In EDSA you will find Casino Bar. Say hello to Herman, the bartender from me. Just indicate who I am, pretending you have a bicycle-moustache :) Have fun.

Everyone:

Next week is "Holy Week" in the Philippines, and the official Government holiday runs from Wednesday through Friday. This means that a lot of young women will head back to the Provinces. However, it also probably means that the night spots are going to be packed every night and the week-end mood will prevail throughout most of the week. Also, internal flights are likely to be more heavily-booked than usual.

Harvey WB
04-04-04, 17:22
There are no domestic flights on Good Friday and I believe that intercity bus service also ceases on Good Friday. I found out about the domestic flights stopping the hard way in 2001. International flights still happen.

GoodEnough,

Apparently, you haven't seen the Philippines during the weekend of "Holy Week". Your guess is the opposite of reality. Even sin establishments respect tradition. During Easter Sunday when everything seems to be back to normal, people are not in the hurry to be in the festive mode. Locals don't hunt for eggs and celebrate like people in the USA. It is rare to see establishments open at night, and, even if they did, it will be a dead and boring night as people will not try so hard to end the week in a sin establishment. I suggest you make arrangements early on with somebody if you really want to have company over the weekend.

Hi

Heading out to Manila in a couple of weeks. This will be a first time for me. Staying at Heritage. Someone posted in an earlier report that Burgos St. has good quality but expensive - however if you get there early enough (before 8 p.m. when the shift changes) you can meet some nice ones and arrange for them to meet you after the shift so you dont pay expensive bar fine.

Can anyone verify for me which bars/clubs have these 8 p.m. shifts and recommend a couple of good ones for me.

Thanks for the help.

Goodenough,

Easter weekend is dead and no domestic flights on Good Friday if I'm not mistaken. Think of it as get-away-day back in the States where everyone heads out of the big cities during the holidays but much worse. Few clubs will be open if any in the provinces. Most one can hope for is a Blockbuster night where you rent a video and cuddle up with your girl for the night or two.

I learned to make it a habit to stay put during Holy Week or be where I want to be by then. Wish I was either in Cebu or in Manila for the holiday instead of being stuck here in CDOC. Enjoy your holiday, pare. Ingat.

Master Blaster:

I agree with you. Its always very slow during Holy Week.

Hank:
your assumption that you can meet girls after their shift is correct, but, you can do that no matter what shift they are on.

If it is your idea to go to Burgos and be cheap, then you might want to reconsider. Its expensive there. You said you are staying at the Heritage which is a nice place across the street from EDSA. You can go in there and get girls to meet you over at your hotel no problem. Either you can get them to "S.O." (Sneak Out, as they say), or just pay their bloody bar fine. Its only$25 there. Not bad for a whole night.
Then if you like the girl, you have a good chance of getting her to call in sick the next night and you can get her for free that night.

good luck.
Lalake.

Lalake,

Thanks for the response - but no I am not interested in going to burgos to be cheap - I want quality and will pay the girl more than other places to get the better quality. I just don't want to pay some of the really steep bar fines I have heard about in that area (much higher than $ 25). I don't mind a bar fine if its reasonable but I had heard Burgos was unreasonably high. So anyway - the key to my question is about the 1) shift changes. I dont want to hang around until some 2 a.m. shift, I would prefer an earlier shift change cause then we have the evening free and night. 2) What are some of the better bars and clubs and do they have early enough shift changes.

Thanks for the good info on Edsa

If anyone else can give me some tips on my above questions, thanks.

Hi Hank,
good reply.

check out Bottoms in Burgos, so many hot girls. Also, just so you know, I think the girls who start at 8pm, finish at 4am, not 2am, so that is even worse than you thought. Its just something to bear in mind.
If you want quality, I say don't even go to Burgos, and head to Greenbelt. Even though I love Burgos, Greenbelt has some sweet girls hanging out in regulars bars.

Good luck.

I see my last post was deleted (protests from the pro-LACafé contingent?). Hmmm. Perhaps there are doubts about my story of alien abduction (though I don’t think alien abductions are any harder to believe than 500P beauty queens trolling the tables at LA Café; just my opinion). I’m amazed at how serious these guys are taking the thread. WSG forum is about recreation, and opinions differ; and if there is no element of fun or humor, why bother?

It’s not about whether the LA Café is good or bad. I didn’t find it to my liking, but would give it another shot next time I’m in Manila. But to label critical reports as ‘hatespeak’ and to cast aspersions on dissatisfied customers as ‘lacking balls’ seems a bit heavy-handed. From what I saw, and from what I’m seeing posted on WSGF, it’s a great place for older guys on a budget.

This is not an opinion just stating a fact:

Our famous, much mentioned CAFE is open 24 hours. There are always some hookers in there.

I was pretty disillusioned at let's say 10AM or 2PM but after 8 or 9 at night the place rocks. I haven's seen such good atmosphere and so many semi-pro girls since the poor old Paddy's Pub was blown up in Bali, Indonesia two years ago (the new one is crap).

Anyway, just go upstairs after the band started 9:30 PM. The better looking girls go up because they have to pay and can afford it better, I guess. (Foreighners don't pay, same as Bali.) I am not a sex addict, only take a shot every couple of weeks but I was very tempted.

As for the price, somebody mentioned for taking it FREE. Well boys, didn't they teach us at school that if you take it, you pay for it. The girl maybe too shy to ask for it but a financial contribution is always appreciated.

Look around that city and see the general standard of living. Compared to it, Bangkok is paradise. So, great HEROES, who get "FREE pussy" in the PI: Shame, shame on you! I guess you will be the first to complain when someone will take your belongings for FREE. I hope it won't happen but you see these things just keep coming back to us.
So, good luck!

By the way, if you want some instructions on how to get there:

It's in Ermita. About 10 minutes walk from the US Embassy along M.H Del Pilar Street. It's on the corner of R.Salas street. Not all taxi drivers know where it is but you can buy the "Metro Manila E-Z map for 100 pesos everywhere and it has all the streets on it although L.A. Cafe is not marked. M.H. Del Pilar as well as R. Salas are one way so if you are coming from south, your driver might have to take a long circle to get there. it is better if you get out on Roxas Boulevard on the corner of R.Salas or Pedro Gil Street and walk two blocks. These streets are well lighted and you should be okay before 11o'clock or so. There are lots of neons and it is easy to recognise the building.

One girls also told me that there is another cafe like L.A. and sometimes she goes there. Next time I will get some more definite location.

If you are in the area you could also visit the EDSA complex on the corner of F B Harrison and EDSA Streets. It's marked on the map. It's only 5 minutes by taxi and around 60 pesos by metered taxi from LA Cafe. There are 9 go-go bars with prices roughly double as in Angeles.

If you flag down a taxi on the street make sure first that nobody is hiding on the back seat.

Best wishes.

Oh, no! Work again!

One problem with the semi-pro part-timers in the L.A. Cafe and similar hunting grounds is that you still have to chat them up.

They are more beautiful, more fresh but what you get is quite unpredictable. The work one has to put in orally and mentally is just damned too much for the benefits. (Plus you have to wear your best shirt and have to shave and the list goes on.)

There are more "hardened" girls in there too who would probably be much better for sex with a lot less work. So, there is a choice for everyone.

But it's good just to watch and to be there. Maybe even better than the sex itself. Beer, beer. Better than women! The older you get the more true it rings.

For first time visitors to Manila, he's not just joking about this. Though I am obviously a "Kano" I really don't feel I am any less safe in Manila than in Las Vegas or Los Angeles on average, but the nature of the things one needs to watch out for is different and takes a while to figure out. Fake taxi drivers are one of those things. Some guys with vehicles that look like regular taxis have been known to take tourists to waiting accomplices to be robbed. How to tell if it is a real taxi? If "the meter is broken" or for any reason does not get turned on as soon as you say "turn the meter on" assume it is fake. Close the door and walk away. If the driver tells you that he is going to pick up his cousin along the way, or another passenger to share the expense, or anything of the kind involving someone else getting into the taxi ever occurs, use any means necessary to get the hell out, even if you have to bail out into traffic. The driver may scream and yell at you. Let him, and keep going. His voice will get tired eventually. He knows he is on the wrong side of the local law, and is not about to get involved with the authorities while running an illegal unlicensed taxi with a fake meter to snare tourists for his gang.

I did once tell a driver that it would be necessary for me to stop at the bank on the corner to get money to pay him (I cheat at poker too) after he said something about needing to pick somebody else up to make the trip worthwhile on the meter. I went straight up to the bank guard at the door, and the driver sped off as soon as the shotgun toting guard was kind enough to approach to speak to the driver. The guard earned a tip. This is one reason I like to travel light, and always keep my bag (a single pilot case) next to me on the seat, never in the trunk, but if this should ever happen to you and the driver has control of your luggage, then I strongly suggest one should forget about the crap in the bags and get out fast. Clothing is cheap in the Philippines if you buy where the locals go. You can even get a new wardrobe custom made all the way down to the leather shoes for a fair price if you like.

I don't want to give the impression that this is highly likely to happen, because it isn't. The simple precaution of verifying that you are taking a taxi with a working meter will eliminate most potential problems. In my experience this caution applies throughout any of the districts of metro Manila, though I wouldn't know if similar concerns with taxis exist in other Philippine cities. All things considered, I like taking the LRT (a local elevated commuter train) when possible.

P.S. Alexander, I wonder if she is talking about the "Mig's Jurassic" bar a little north up M.H Del Pilar on the same side of the street going towards U.N. Avenue? If so, I have been curious about the current status of that place, and would like to hear what you find out about it.

Palawan in July?

I'm coming to Manila the first week in July and staying at the Makati Shangrila Hotel. Although there will be plenty of mongering pleasure, the main reason is business, so the date is not negotiable.

I was also thinking of taking a side trip to Palawan (El Nido Miniloc). A Manila GF from a previous trip will join me, but I was a little concerned about going in the rainy season. Any thoughts on how it would be then? Snorkeling and sailing are main attractions for me there.

Thanks!

A,

What do you mean that if you get FREE pussy, that they will steal from you? I paid what she wanted, and she still picked my pocket. It's not the Freebie, if you're a thief, you're a thief. Well, I went back to LA Cafe the other night, and lo & behold there she is. Of course, I knew she would be there, but I was expecting to see her. Also, she don't know that I go there all the time, and I know most of the people there.

I spotted her flirting with a foreigner like us. I told her nice job in picking my pocket, then she told me that she didn't. Oooh, really I said. I told her, let me tell the guy you are flirting with what you did! Then she grab on, and hug me, and told me " Nooo!!" She said, ok, You can Fuck me. I don't think so, with my hand in my pocket. C'mon, you can Fuck me for Free. I told her that I will pass. I told her next time.

The next time came around, and she ask me do I want the Free one. I Fuck her, and then in the Ass afterward. After we were done, she asked for money. I told her where is the freebie. She told me that I have to paid. I said you ripped me off the last time, so I am getting my money back. Anyway, I told her, don't do it. I am warning you. If you persist on breaking your word, you are going to lose.

The result: Every customer, she was working on. I would tell them to be care, because she might pick your pocket like mine. As a fellow traveler, it is up to you to believe it or not. Why would I lie to you? Anyway, why take a chance when there are so many other girls, who would not do this? She was asking me Why do you do this? I told her that she would lose. Anyway, she got banned in LA Cafe, because LA Cafe don't want these type of girl around ripping off the customers. Of course, eventually, she got back in. I learn how to do this from the foreigner, who live in Manila, and know the management.

So, guys if someone picks your pocket, just make the girls life miserable.

It is not the money, guy, it is the principal. Yes, they don't have money, but if they deliver the product, they will be reward without no problem. We are not here for charity, maybe some of you are, since you are only here for a couple of days. I stay for at least a month, so I don't need this Bullshit!

A,

An easier way is:

Roxas blvd to Pedro Gil, then Left into Mabini, another left at R. Salas to Del Pilar, and at the corner is LA Cafe.

Places to stay:

All along Pedro Gil, and Mabini 400 ps - 1500 ps. Go no further than Gen Malvar.

On the next block, you can go to Club Havana, Bedrock, Tia Maria, and many clubs that the locals hangout. Not much SW, but beware of the billyboy, or ladyboy. Believe me, they look good there.

The place you are talking about is on Padres Farve, I forgot the name. Some of the girls in LA Cafe goes there, bec. Less competition. I know, bec. I know some of the girls there, and was surprise to see them there.

Jurassic is now across the street from LA Cafe. Someone told me that you have to bar fine these girls.

On Taxis: My friend, who is a local, and will travel to all areas including ghetto areas. Told me to beware when riding taxis at night. He told me to look at the drivers, and make judgment. In other words, it can be dangerous.

We, on the hand, ride the green/yellow taxis, bec. our good friend own them. This is not to say that the driver is not a crook either. My gf, who lives in Manila, at times have problems with the driver too.

Spidey,

On taxi safety. I don't want to sound like I think I'm some big bad ass, I'm not. But, if I'm with a driver that seems "iffy" I pull out my knife (in a non threatening manner) so he can see it, and say with a smile, "if anything hapens, I hurt you first". It has gotten a smile and a "no problem sir" in that tone and cadence we all know.

I've only done this three times and it was when the driver started taking a lot of back road short cuts that I was unfamiliar with. Three may sound like a lot, but I lived there for almost a year and took a lot of taxis.

FD,

Whatever way to keep you safe. You know, their favor line. "Traffic" when there really isn't. Instead, of the knife trick, just get another cab, and refuse to pay, or 10-20 pesos to the last F**k up driver.

Sometime, I will ask a taxi, how much it cost to get to my destination, and he will tell me a price that is high, and I tell him "What!" Naah, it cost only this much to get there, cut the bullshit. And look for the next cab. Usually, get a meter cab. At night, I am a little more cautious.

I try to take taxi, when I am in a rush, or can't get to a certain place. Most of the time, it is jeepneys, and buses. I might get my own gas scooter to get around. Save on time!

A scooter is a good investment when trying to save time on short trips.Make sure you invest in a good lock or two for that scooter. I went to Greenhills/Virra Mall for some shopping and then came out with my scooter gone. It had a lock, too. Now, I have a nice Kryptonite cable snake lock and a couple of disc brake locks. So far, it held. One more thing, a helmet is a must. For that other head. ;)

Why not just post a few pics of the girls that you have picked up from LA Cafe and let the board be the judge be if the talent is worth the price of admission. BTW. I'm planning to go to the philippines the end of the year, I'm really surprise that there are so many of you have been there but so few have posted pics. Furthermore I haven't really seen what i would consider 7 or 8+ photo's. The thai boards have some really cute girls. This is just an observation of course.

I hope this is still not boring but following is some more update about L.A.Cafe and surrounding areas:

Found a very cute princess. Quiet, little girl, apart from the crowds. The story was that she is from some village, occasionally coming to town to sell some fruit and to buy supplies so didn't know anyone there. No smoking, no alcohol, no tattoos. But very sweet, soft, affectionate. Chatted a while, danced a bit then I was about to leave as had an early flight the next day. She asked if she could come with me. Ah well, I had no objections, although wasn't really in there to pick-up a girl but rather just to drink. I was also unshaven and in my sweaty day-shirt and not very romantic looking at all. Walked 10 minutes to the hotel. Upon entering the room, we literally tore the clothes off each other and had a quick bang in about ten minutes, still unwashed. Then shower together, brushing teeth, etc. Good-night kiss. Lights off. Cuddling up in the dark led to another much more lenghty session. The first one was for me. This second one for her. We slept cuddled up in each other's arms. (Woke up a few times, as she turned).

Wake-up call from reception at 5am. Ordered breakfast to the room. Getting dressed, packing, etc. Not one word about money was mentioned up to that point. I took out 1000 pesos and gave it to her. She just said "thank you" and took it. I asked if it was enough and the answer was "yes". Could have had it for "FREE", I guess, but what's the point? Glory for me? Life is not so easy in rural PI and every peso helps. Also, after receiving the money she stopped askig about my email address. It was just business from then on. There was still half an hour before the taxi was booked. She was naked and sitting in my lap. What do you do with a naked woman sitting in your lap? So, I just had to band her again. Shower one more time, racing to get dressed. Kiss, kiss.

"Never see you again?"

"Well, who knows?" (didn't exchange contacts).

I gave her another 400 pesos and got in the taxi. Hard life. I fell in love again. At least for another day or two.

LA CAfe:
Down stairs is crap. Just loads of aggressice hardened pros keep pestering you. Upstairs is where it all happens, after 9PM or so.

Apart from the "working-ladies", the little waitresses are very cute too. But they of course cannot go with you. Nevertheless they seem very keen to flirt.

The company that runs the place has an amazingly ingenious employment policy. Wait staff are employed on 3 month non-extendable contracts. After their term expires, they have to go. No negotiations. Several of the girls near the end of their contracts indicated their interest to hook-up with foreigners. Here is an opportunity for some handsome guys.
___________________________

Just a few steps further down the same street there is a Japanese Karaoke place called "HIMBA MUSIC LOUNGE".
Of course not much singing goin on. There are bilingual English/Jap signs so it is easy to find.

They have a couple of girls all the time but after 7PM there about 20 or more. Most are not very pretty but a few are. They speak English as well as Japanese and accept any nationality not only Japs. You have to barfine the girls (1000 or 1500 pesos for the night). Plus you have to pay the girl also.

No rooms on site but they know a short time motel nearby for 400pesos/3hours. The bosses' names are Dodong and Elmer and usually someone sits on the street to invite punters in.
____________________________

The other similar sort of cafe near LA. is the G.POINT BAR, on Padre Faura Street (just 5 mins walk to NW). The waitresses wear a different "theme-uniform", each day, like camouflage, nurse, western, etc. The place is really tiny but they have a band at night. Met a cute, tall very black girl there during the day but I just wasn't in the mood to boom-boom. Also there are a lot of familiar faces from LA. She said ST was 1000-1500 pesos and LT 1500-2000 with her.
Correct address is 510 Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila.

Hey guys,

I just spent several days in Manila and because of so much talk about LA cafe, I made it a point to stop in and see what was going on. The first night I stopped in about 9:30pm and walked around the lower level to see the layout. This was a Wednesday night and the place was full. I then worked my way upstairs and saw that the quality of the ladies upstairs was better than the lower level. The ladies do have to pay to get to the 2nd floor. I spent about 1 hour walking around, sitting at the bar, chatting it up with some of the ladies and I've got to tell you that it was a nice time. The ladies I approached were all nice. Some were seasoned and it was obvious that they spent a lot of time at LA Cafe, but I met several younger ladies that spoke limited english, and had just come in from the provence. I eventually worked my way over to a young legal age spinner. She was cute as could be, and she was hanging out with some of the more regular girls. Long story short, she came back to the hotel with me and we had a great night. When she left in the morning it was sad to say goodbye. During this visit to LA Cafe, I didn't see any 10's, but it is a fun and relaxing place and you make it what you want it to be. Hey, even if you don't find someone you want to hook up with, at least you had the chance to have a nice cold San Miguel.

Well folks LA cafe was way too overwhelming for me this past Friday night. I didn't even have a beer a in my hands and had already said no 100 times. Most were not for me. OK, all were not for me. My driver from the hotel was with me and suggested we go to a fishbowl type place and we did. Sorry LA Cafe fans but it wasn't for me too many uglies/oldies, definitely no 9's or 10's.

So we went to the "house" I picked the cutest I could find. Cost me 3500 pesos for the whole night. I wasn't disappointed.

I went back for 5 straight nights. I don't know the address but it was in Makati. Sorry guys but the talent in this place was outstanding. One night had 2 girls for 6500. AMAZING! They just happened to be cousins. WTF?? Anyway, I now can't wait until next October when I go Back to the Phil's. I've been spoiled.

First we are not flaming you, ok? I do understand this was your first time and you had a blast, that is what its all about. This is just constructive critisizm. We just want you to know what the local cost is there. As we say, when in Rome do as the Romans. You can get 8's & 9's for p1000 to p1500, with no barfine. If you must have a 10 then please, pay no more than p2000 tops. they will take it, trust me.

Yes I do understand your TJ and US experiences, I have been going to TJ for 12 years, Adelita's for sure. This is not TJ and we can't really treat it that way cause its all we know. I understand it was worth it to you, but think of the other guy is what we all we asking.

Rio, Fast,

I think your concern is unfounded. I can tell you why. Most of the mongering money in the Philippines doesn't come from mongers coming from North America or Europe but from Japan, Korea and Taiwan. I'm sorry but the generous mongers are the Japanese. A Japanese is more likely to have frequented a casa, MP or KTV even before a North American or European would. And mind you, the money involved exceeds what a North American or European would normally pay. The Asian demand determines the price not the North American or European demand. Now, do these mongers think they get value from it? Of course, yes. Coz they are paying much less from what they are accustomed to back in their own countries. Do you know how much a typical all-nighter in Japan is worth? Definitely, way more than in North America. Anyways, Crossman only overpaid a measly $20 from the going rate of a Makati casa girl. I doubt if Crossman really ruined the "playground" for everybody. I think his story deserves an applause. That's glitch-free mongering in my book.

I wouldn't mind paying 3000 for quality, a lot of you guys talk about 500, 1000, or 1500, but the pictures of 500, 1000, or 1500 girls aren't my type. Its like buying a car, you expect to pay a lot more for a BMW than a KIA simple as that. However if these guys are paying 3000 for a chick thats a 5 or a 6 then there crazy!

I didn't think I was being flamed. So I am not offended. For me time is money. If I can remove any wasting of time and give someone a little more money to provide me with exactly what I'm looking for and at the instant I want it, it sure is worth it to me. Plus I hate saying no. In a bar scene I get a little overwhelmed and start to feel bad for all those I reject. Anyhow, I loved the Phil's and will be going back at least twice per year as long as I keep my current clients, which will probably be a long time. Makati casa girls rule!

Crossman,

Glad you had fun in PI. Great report. No apologies needed.

Let Cross be the judge if he overpays or not. I think the purpose of this board is “To facilitate the exchange of information between men who are looking for sex with women”. I don’t think it’s any of our business to judge a person’s report simply because we didn’t like the way he spent his money on women. Finance is only a part of this hobby. Some people think $1000 is too much money to spend on women, some don’t. Again, whether I pay $10 to get laid or $1000 is my own choice. Let’s not concentrate too much on it because each monger is responsible on how he spends his money. The big picture here is that he spent time to share his experience with us.

Santaclaus,

I have to disagree with you just a bit. When the newbie's come to another country and overspend, it hurts the rest of us.

On my last trip to the PI, I had my hotel driver take me to a "casa" to see what they had to offer. Some of the girls were gourgeous, but I knew what the going rate is based on the postings here on the board. The papasan wanted to charge me P$4000 for an all nighter with a girl. I told him that wouldn't work and dropped it further. He wouldn't budge under P$2500 and I told my driver to let's go. The driver later told me that because I was a tourist, they feel I will pay anything for the company of a lady. I ended up meeting someone at Robinson's Mall in Ermita and had the time of my life with a girl just as pretty for a lot less.

I hope not to get in a flame war, and just want to post a dissenting opinion.

Good report. I personally don't think you over paid more than PhP500 if that. Even with what you paid it's a bargain, and it's far cheaper than what a night on P. Purgos street would have cost you, including the ladies drinks, bar fines, and other miscellaneous hassles like demands for food.

Next time you come to the PI, try some other cities. You might like Cebu, Angeles City or Davao even better than you like Makati.

Thanks for sharing the experience.

Pimpster: I am tired of writing about the LA Cafe, but I will tell you that the quality of the girls on any given night is largely a factor of luck, timing, and day of the week. I struck out there twice in the past couple of months and the last time I was there met a truly pretty woman. It was a week night, and only about 10 in the evening. You will always find tons of women there. Whether you find one that appeals to you is another matter.

Teddybr,

There is a big difference between a "con job" and plain "overpricing". It appears that you did not detect that a con job was being done on you by the cab driver and the casa operator when $4K was quoted to you for an all-nighter. I'm sure their prices dropped to 2.5K pesos when the old-timer monger arrived. Surely, you did not prove your point.

Hi,

Your phone will work if it supports the GSM 900 or GSM 1800 MHZ frequencies.

A good resource I use is here:

http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/index.shtml

You can see under each country, the networks that are live, and if you click 'network info', you can see which frequencies they support. You can cross reference the network you purchased the phone from, vs. the network/country you will be visiting. If they support the same network frequencies, your phone will probably work.

The newer phones are dualband/triband, so they will automatically work on all networks.

Have fun in PI.

I use a tri-band phone, which is very compatiable to almost any phone, and I am using it in the states.

You need a dual-band at the least. If not, just buy one. It will cost around 100 USD, or 4,500-7,000 ps for one. You can buy a use one, which is cheaper. When you are done, you can give it to the girl, if you like.

Trust me, if you stay longer enough in the P.I., a cellphone is a necessitiy, b/c you can't use a regular phone to call anyone, except in your hotel (Cost you more), or someone with long distance set up.

J Boy,

First the phone should be tri-band frequency or considered "world phone" before it can work in PI. The phone should also be "unlocked" before it can accept SIM cards from other mobile service providers. When a mobile phone is "locked" it will only accept SIM cards coming from the mobile service provider that sold you the phone. Instead of taking a risk, you can buy a cheap mobile phone with a SIM card from the PI for about $60. Pick the SMART or GLOBE mobile service provider for better coverage.

Buy a Globe starter pack. It will cost you PhP200 (less than $4) and will include 30 free minutes or so. You can buy recharge cards from Php100-Php500 pesos. Most of the women you will meet here will have cell phones, all who have cell phones will give you their numbers and will want yours. The few who do not have phones will ask if you will buy one for them. They will then start sending you text messages on a regular basis, which you can either ignore or to which you can respond. Either way, it's vital to have a cell phone here. I too have a triband phone and use it world wide. However, you can buy a used cell phone here in any mall for $40-$60 and it will work perfectly.

GE,

One thing you forgot to tell about the irriating habits of texting, which I think is very rude while eating, like talking in a restaurant at times (even I am guilty of this!). Yes, I know it is cheap to call, but everyone that I know wants to save, so they all text, even the ones with money.

Sory about that. I should have told you that the Philippines is the text messaging capitol of the world. Filipinos text 24/7 and will bug the crap out of you all the time once they get your number. It's just something with which you have to cope. Of course, you don't have to respond and after a while the girls will get bored and it will cease.

I've never been to the PI before and I've got a 5 hour layover in Manila airport (3pm until 8pm). I am arriving from HKG and flying to Australia.

Any suggestions as to what to do? How much?

Thank you!

Yellow Fever,

If you have 5 hours its best to just stay in the airport. When I flow out of Manila it took at least an hour to just get to the gate because there are so many check points. But if you must leave the airport, I was reading about a club close to the airport that gives massages and the theme of the place is like a airport. There is a picture and discription of the place in the Manila section.

For a short time you got your best bet is a massaga parlor. Ask the cab driver to take you to the nearest one. Prices may range fro 500-1000 for hj and up to 2000 pesos for fs.

Faust Joe,

I must leave the airport and get my 'fix'. I changed my flight and I arrive a little earlier at 1pm so I have nearly 7 hours to explore.

I will take care and be at the airport a little earl to clear the control checkpoints...

Thanks for your help.

Hi guys,

I'll be in the PI for a wedding in July, for one of my good friend's wedding. Anyway I plan to give him a great bachellors party. Any suggestions where i can get a good number of girls for a decent rate. Is JR worth it? Does anyone have experience in this area? I used to live in the PI, so i have some contacts.

Thanks

Hi Amboy,

With regards your query about JR. I have used and recommended him many times. I will also be in Manila in July so let me know if you wanna meet up for a beer. I always stay in Heritage Hotel. I have already been in touch with JR recently to set some things up. Best get him to take you out to the casas then you can choose yourself. If you tell him what you want and get him to bring a selection to your room then he just goes to the casas to pick them up. Be careful what you ask for in that case. Remember, a "small" girl by Philippine standards can be a midget! So careful what you ask for :)

I'm sure you will get a discount for more girls.:) the casas are very flexible. Have fun.

I'll be taking my first trip to The Philippines in a few weeks, can anyone recommend a good hotel (reasonably priced), regarding its location and being girl friendly? I didn't see any mention of hotels in the forum (but lots about the LA Cafe).

I'm asking mainly about Manila, but will also be in Cebu and Davao.

I called JR last week to see what what he could find for me. He took me to 3 dorms where the girls stay waiting for their visas to be approved for work in Japan. The first dorm had the most girls, about 30, the next two had between fifteen and twenty. I waited until I saw all the girls in all three dorms before I made my choice. I finally chose a 22 year old cutie from Cebu. The cost was 3k pesos which I paid to the mamasan, plus I gave 500 pesos for driving me there and back to the Oxford Suites. Her name was Muppet I think. Well she gave me an excellent bbbj and fucked me excellent as well allowing me to bang her bareback as I hate fucking condoms. What baffled me was that she wanted to go after staying with me for only two hours. JR said that if I wanted to go back to the dorm and get another I would only have to pay another 1000 pesos. Instead of going back to the dorm I barfined an old flame from the Ivory who did stay with me all night. It was a little expensive though, 3k pesos barfine and 2k for her. Compared to the rateras in Juarez that want $50 for a half an hour of lousy sex it was worth it.

Thanks Flying Scotsman,
Ill definately try JR out for a "test-drive" before I use him for a bachelor's party. Btw how are the quality of the dorm-girls. Just wondering. Ill be there for a month so i might hit you up for that beer. I guess just PM me.

Happy hunting guys,

Rateras in Juarez. How dare you say that. Lousy sex for 50 bucks. How dare you say that. I say this all in jest man. You know that. So you are in the PI? No wonder I haven't seen MariLu around. You took her with you. And this must also explain the why you missed the Mongerpalozza.

I kind of freaked out the evening of the Mongerpalozza. Pancho at Queens told me no one had seen MariLu since the evening I took her out 2 weeks earlier. Man, trust me, a guy doesn't want to be known as the "last guy seen with a chica", especially with all the murders down there. But to end the story on a good note, she has been seen around lately. When you get back go check out Yessenia, a new chica at Queens. A tall, creamy skinned, dark haired beauty will be a fresh change from banging them PI chicas.

Now what is a Juarez post doing in the Manila section? Let me make this a relevant post. I have been reading up on you guys posts here for the last month and I am intrigued. A trip the the PI seems more realistic than my dream vacation to Brazil. My job and displine suck and it may take several years till I get to save enought to go to the PI. I have set up a "beggars" group in Yahoo. We will see how that goes. What I figure is it will be best for me to take a 2 week vacation. I havent decided on Manila or Angeles City so I may do both. But then there are other cities like Cebu and Davao and they sound equally delicious.

So now let me step aside and let you guys continue with the real PI posts.

Amboy812,

IMO only about 10% of the dorm girls were worth taking out. The other 90% looked like they belonged in Angeles.

Needsome,

In Makati I like Robelle House on Valdez St, walking distance from the 50 Clubs on Burgos St. Has an openair bar just 100 ft from it on the Street that gets ladies. Stays open until 03: 00AM. Around the corner about 100 ft is a karaoke place also open late with women.

Nicest place is Shangri La (also most expensive). Gets women in the bar. There are 3 Hotels in Burgos St and I tried all at one time or another and they are okay. Right where everything is.

Read back a bit and there are many Posts here on Hotels near LA Cafe. I never tried any though. I like Manila Hotel which at $ 89/Nt is nice for this famous, old landmark of Manila (soon to celebrate 100th B/D). Never found a Hotel in 15 years that was not girl friendly.

CEBU: My favorite Hotels after 60+ trips there over 15 years are Metropolis Court Hotel (V Rama Av, Guadalupe), Cebu Midtown Hotel (Fuente Osmena & walking distance to dozen Clubs). Read my January Posts in Cebu for more.

DAVAO: Marco Polo, APO View & Casa Leticia. Just read our (GE & DS) 200+ Posts in Davao and you will be able to walk through there blindfolded.

I just returned from three weeks in Manila, Cebu & Davao plus HK. PM me for phone numbers, pussy whatever (everyone else does; got a message my PM folder was full this morning).

Another Phillipine export then. Angeles to Tokyo via Manila dorm. Do the japs really go for that or is it the expat Americans fueling the demand?

Mugroso:

If you're on a tight budget, I would recommend that you completely avoid Manila and go to one of the lesser expensive cities. Read one of my earlier posts on Davao in which I describe a small hotel, in the middle of all the action, where you can get a room for as little as PhP300 ($5.50) a night. During his last trip the Dragon Slayer calculated that you could actually live well in Davao, getting laid and getting fed, for about $25 a day, and it's true. Slayer, why don't you do a post that includes those calculations. I would do it, but I don't really remember all of the numbers, and your posts are funnier than mine at any rate. Remember the small hotel called Larous Pension right across the street from O'Flannagan's? The rooms are 300, 500 and 800 a night. The three hotels Dragon Slayer cites in his post are much pricier. I don't much like the Apo View for the rooms and facilities, but it does have Liquid which is one of the nicest bars in town and the only one I know of in which you can smoke. Entrance fee is PhP150, for which you get tickets you can use for drinks. Not a great pick up place but a good place to go with a lady if you want to impress her a bit.

Pimelonman,

"The other 90% looked like they belonged in Angeles." Is that a bad thing? I spend more time in Angeles now than in Manila. Many more hotties and cost a lot less. But like ive said so many times before on this board, its all a question of taste. Also I must say any time I have taken a girl from a casa and paid three thousand I have always had her for the night. But then I usually take the girl for dinner and drinks first and then back to hotel. At the end of the day its the girls choice so you gotta look after her.

Amboy812

Last time I went with JR round the casas I knew exactly what I was looking for. It was in the third one I found her. Maybe I'm getting fussy in my old age, who knows! Each casa generally has 10 to 30 girls so you really should be able to find something you like :)

Look after JR and I promise he will get the best deals for you. He always has for me. Happy Hunting guys.

Amboy812,

I suggest that you pick up the girls early at 7 pm. Otherwise, you will end up with a less attractive lineup. The girl's beauty rate 3 - 9 (mostly below 6); attitude 1 - 10. One dorm (casa) is on the corner of Casino and Bautista. I'll suggest one excellent girl; her name is Bhey. I don't know if she is still there since almost all are bound for Japan. Just ask. There are two more dorms around that area. The rate is 2.5K - 3K for an all-nighter. Skip JRs independent girls as they are too pricey and the quality isn't any better than the dorm girls. Talk to the girl before taking them out just to know if they have the right attitude. Sit down and look in the girls eyes coz you will find out who is "game" and who is not; I'm sure you don't want to pick a lousy one. These girls will try everything to get picked since not all nights are good for them. Ask questions to the mamasan. Try to get a discount too if are picking 2 or more; believe me it works. Hope this helps.

Ok - I will answer my own question about Baggio for anyone interested in action. I really don't have much to report except for the massage place. Most taxi drivers know of these. They are in the heart of the city. I cannot remember the name but it also had a club attached to it right next door. Walking distance to the KFC just about a block up on the cross street.

Massage about 350 peso - girls fee about 1000. She was a 7 or 8 about 21 tight figure. Poor performance...no touching, no bj or nothing. Just basically do the deed. I think her name was Jewel or something like that. Also the place is really dungy looking. I guess I dont recommend it.

I have never "played" in Manila but I was there for only a few hours and decided to try. As I have been reading this board for a while and very much enjoy quality I figured I would either try P. Burgos Street or one of the up market Massage Parlours.

As I only had a short time I decided on Air Force One; mostly due to Junior's posting and a brief discussion I had with him a few months back. And thanks again Junior as I very much appreciate your help.

So I took a taxi to Air Force One and went in. It was probably around 5pm and not very busy. I told the guy I was new and really did not know how it worked. He said it is simple just choose who you want and he proceeded to opened a curtain and through a window you could see all the girls. I was so amazed and am still a little numb from the experience. As Junior said try the two girls I chose two girls.

I then paid for the room and went with the first class service; which was for two hours and think it was only 2,600 pesos for the room. And then you negotiate separately with the girls.

They took me to the room and soon thereafter the two girls arrived. One was quite pretty and the other was cute and a bit chubby. They were both nice and both had C section scars. Both were a bit busty.

Anyways, it was a nice relaxing service. They pamper you with some time in a jacuzzi, then a pretty good massage and then onto some private fun. You can have a round with each girl but I only did it with one of the girls. It is a bit professional, CBJ, no kissing but nice just the same.
