Well, maybe not the right place to ask here in 'Manila', but, has anybody got experience with a place named Calamba? I have came to know that it should be a very nice place for fucking around!?
HesekielsCalamba is at the end of South Super Highway, it is definately the province. There are a few bars and local girls are always friendly to the walking ATM machines they percieve most westerners to be. If you go a little further you will end up in Los Banos which has a number of hot springs and resorts. A nice place to bring along a friend from Manila for some relaxing mongering.

I had visited Manila almost 20 years ago and stayed in Rothman inn hotel in Ermita. Girls then were for 400 pesos full night. 1 USD was 25 pesos. I plan to visit Manila again next month. Which is the right place for nightlife sex. Should I hang around in Ermita or Angles city. Can you also recomend a good 3 star girl friendly hotel in these places.

I think he is asking about the new entertainment center that is located near the domestic terminal and also next to UTOPIA. Going a little down in this thread, you can find more details.
It is not so visible from the "main road", but when you drive in through the entrance of Utopia, about 100 meters, you will find all 8 bars with their signs/logos very much visible.
I enjoyed what I found there, but it is somewhat far away from where I normally stay (Malate), so I'll stick to my regular hang-outs... :)

This is a great place to monger. Not many westerners know about it as this is the first I seen it mentioned(I've not read every post). There are many bars and some real gems. You have to search for them, but Baguio is a small place and everything is within a simple cab ride away. I don't remember the name of the places I went 2yrs ago, but the one I ended up in was pretty wild. There was a floor show that had a candle dance with a very attractive girl holding lit candles in each hand, wearing nearly nothing, dancing and letting the hot wax drop onto her body.

Be rest assured that most hotels in the Philippines are girl friendly there are several hotels in Manila that have more than enough room for two guys and two or three girls. I suggest you first search the forum for places to stay or one of the search engines because this question has come up many times.

If you are in Manila look for this symbol. This sign is all over the place. A girl with her finger is between her lips. The name of this place is Victoria court. Another comparable motel would be "Anito". The price is almost the same, always ask for a discount card after your first visit. They are short time motel. They are clean and open 24 hours.
The taxi drivers know this place very well. If you are coming from LA CAFE, just give the taxi drive 50P.
The room costs around 550P for 3 hours. Make sure that you ask for a discount card after your visit. The discount can range from 10-30%.
Another tip: If you are taking the girl out of LA CAFE, ask her if she has a preferred motel. The girl usually have one discount card with them.

For those first timers and trying to find this place. LA Cafe is located at the center of Ermita. My suggestion is to take a taxi and just ask them to take you to "LA Cafe". If the taxi driver does not know where it is, just tell them "Ermita", from there look for LA Cafe. If memory serves me correct this should be "A. Mabini St." (A- Apolinario). Tell the taxi driver "Mabini" in Ermita.
The place is hard to miss since it is a one way street, you will pass a lot of bars and if you passed a Church then you gave gone to far.
If you are going Manila to Makati or vise-versa, I suggest that you take the LRT or MRT to avoid traffic, and taxi to your final destination.
I always wanted to see this place, so on my last night in MNL (2003), after getting a massage on Adriatico, I grabbed a cab and asked the driver to take me by there (wife was asleep at the hotel). Street outside was a scarey scene, told him to keep going, take me back to Cherry Blossoms Hotel on J. Bocobo, about 6 blocks away. He headed north towards UN Ave, went down some alleyways where people were eating their dinners on tables set up on the street, then hung a right into a really small alley, thought I was going to get robbed/killed, when all of a sudden we pop out on a street about 1 block down from UN Ave and fly past a Chinese place we had eaten at the previous year. Whew! I gave him a good tip.
The scene outside LA Cafe was a mob scene of tough looking characters, girls, pimps (?) and God knows who else. I guess I'll never get to try their burgers, LOL, but then there's always Jollibees.

Just got back from 2 weeks in the Philippines but far too short. Was there with the wife so didn't have much time to monger. But, some locals took me to Air Force One and Miss Universal. Didn't make it to Skyline this time but did make it last year.
Air Force One was a disappointment for me. Maybe because we got there so late (about 11:30pm). There was a 500 peso per person cover charge (comsumable) and beers were 190 pesos each. Went there 3 times in a span of about 7 or 8 days and have nothing but great things to say. They have over 300 girls there and an aquarium to view them and I have to say they are the best girls I have seen.

The funny thing is that I went with my wife's brothers. Having also read many of the posts before I also went to the LA Café back in March ’03 I would have to say that you should take them all with a large pinch of salt, 20 beers and bottle of cognac. A lot of guys seem to like the place because its cheap, the drink prices, the decor and there are no bar fines, all well and good. However, let’s not get confused here, that is as far as it goes, there are no former beauty queens or college student just making a few bucks on the side to help them through their studies, this is a myth, the place has a couple of average girls, some skanky ones in there mixed in with a few hard nosed pros - that is the reality.
If you are coming to Manila just for the LA Café, then I would suggest that you are in for a disappointment, all of these guys who have claimed to have picked up a stunning 9s or 10s in the place and given them what 500 Pesos for tuda da noite (all night), hmmmmm, I have yet to be convinced since these same guys have never posted a photo.
The few guys who have posted photos of girls from the LA café have been honest about what they paid, and some of them were not cheap, and the girls were average.
In my opinion if you want more bangs for your bucks then I would suggest, if possible, go up to Angeles City. It’s a bit of a shit hole of a town, but it is what it is, and you have to weight up the cost of getting there for one night is worth it. As a frequent visitor to LA Cafe over the last two years, I agree with Juniour's assessment. Former beauty queens and amateur students are the exception to the reality. Although I have seen some above average talent, the bulk of the girls are single mothers, pros, japanese/korean leechers or simple skanks. Even for the above talent girls, I have never personally paid less than PHP1000 for ST. I never met a girl who was totally unaware of the general ST rate, and in fact I have met many who have tried to exceed it.
For my personal mode of mongering, I love the LA Cafe. Food and drink is reasonably priced. I can always play a challenging game of pool. Upbeat music. It is easy to mingle with the girls. I never feel hassled. Lots of reasons to escape to LA. But different guys will see LA Cafe differently.
That being said, I wanted to offer a personal tip for getting the most out of LA Cafe. As I only have infrequent visits to MNL (once every 6-8 weeks), I don't have the ability to spot the latest girls. To compensate, I have made friends with a few of the older girls - the "mamasans." They will ususally approach you and ask if you are looking for a girl, especially if you look a bit new to the place. By buying a few cokes/orange juices/beers and sharing my specific requirements (under 20, fresh, slim, okay for video/pictures - don't be shy to ask!), these mamasans are happy to point out appropriate talent. Whether or not I take a girl, my mamasans have been quite good at picking out the gems. They will be especially effective at finding those doe eyed innocent just-came-from-the-province girls. These girls can be a little uneasy about going out, but an introduction from the mamasan as a good guy (and I am!) sets everything at ease because she will explain where my hotel is, how much I will pay, that I am a "decent guy," etc. The mamasan will not tell you this, but she will require the girl to pay her a fee - the infamous "commission" - for the introduction, which means that the girl will want to do ST so she can go back to settle up with mommy. If you take a longer-term approach to LA Cafe, I think that using the mamasans can be useful.
As an aside, I find no other country where girls are so willing to introduce you to other girls. The girls call it commission, but it certainly has the flavor of pimping. Some girls seem to understand that you aren't interested in them personally, but will still try to make a few pesos by making an introduction. If you take a really long-term approach (as I have done), it is possible to find a girl who will take care of your needs. They will not only introduce you to girls from the bar, but there are girls who seem to have an endless supply of cousins, friends and neighbors that they can introduce to you. Later I will write something in the Opinions section to elaborate.
If you read back far enough you will find a post from a guy who did research here and figured out who had good experiences in LA Cafe, and liked the place, and those that did not. The vast overwhelming majority liked LA Cafe and totally disagreed with the assessments of the few.
I payed 500 Pesos with small tips for great service. You dont need a mamasan or anyone else to hold your hand in there, all the girls are available and you can just do it yourself. If you want to use a mamasan, thats your business and if you need it, then more power to you. I dont care either way what guys do.
Some guys cant help themselves when it comes to paying girls. They cant stop forking over money as they have some kind of embarrassment complex over being perceived as cheap. Of course, these are the guys who have no idea how much 500 pesos is to a filipino, or just cant understand it for whatever reason.
All you need is yourself and some balls in LA Cafe. I, and most others have had tremendous success there. Dont let the few who run down the place stop any newbies from going there. You dont have to pay anymore than you want. You are the king, you decide how much and how long and to hell with what anyone else thinks about you.
You are not the Red Cross, The U.N., or any other Aid organization. You are not there for charity purposes, you are there to get fucked and what you pay is, and should be, determined by the payer in establishements like the LA Cafe.

Thank to '*************' I went to that place about 6 weeks ago (my very first time) and I really enjoyed my time there! At lunchtime (!) I've not been a fan of LA cafe as I had Elvie for the past year's biz trips. But since we both broke off that rather convenient arrangement (for me visits, her $20 sent around every 7 weeks); plus I now stay at the new Hyatt rather than Makati, I think I may well check LA out. I would not pay more than 2,500 for any girl in the Philippines, how will that go down with the LA cafe young set? Good thing about a guaranteed score in a bar is that you choose, or just get pissed, or both.
The thing I like most about sex in the Philippines is that the younger local women almost immediately expect you to ask them to come to your hotel room and are not offended when you do. Quite often they agree, knowing exactly what they will 'get' and have to do. Its as simple as that. I've had some of the dirtiest mutually agreed sex of my life in the Philippines.

I am no expert and don't claim to be one. I have seen Juniour's pictures and admit they aren't 9's or 10's in my book. However, each his/her own when it comes to rating the looks of girls. My take on LA Cafe is that you need to have confidence in yourself. Some girls will come up to you if you are alone and say hello. In the three weeks I visited which was about 12 times. I was approached about 15 times. Some nights not once, other times 2 or three times. Only once did I end up with one of these girls coming back w/ me after seeing her again later in the evening. (It was the worst experience I had)
You need to be able to go up to a girl and say hello just like in a US bar. You need to be able to have a conversation (limited English on her part) to get to know her a little. You can just go up and ask her to come back w/ you and how much, but I found this to be rude when I heard other guys doing it that way.
The most I paid to a girl was P$2000 for an all nighter. There was one girl who didn't even ask for money (Mica), and she hung w/me for three days. I ended up giving her 2500 which she tried to refuse, but I insisted.
Anyways, as everywhere else, YMMV. This forum is for an exchange of information. Check the place out for yourself. Downstairs there is no cover charge. Upstairs there is a nominal P$100-150 for the live music from 8 pm to 2 am. LA is located in Ermita, and they have security at the door and "bouncers" inside if you don't like what is hanging outside.

I've been out of town for a few days and have had no access to this board, so the controversy raised by the most recent posts came as news to me. I do not like the personal, ad hominem attacks directed at Juniour. They would be inappropriate if directed at anyone, but are particularly ludicrous when written to somone who probably writes the most detailed, non-judmental, and literate articles on the board.
I have lived here and elsewhere in SE Asia for a long time, and I've been to the LA Cafe and many of the other sleazy haunts countless times, yet I never fail to be amused at Juniour's descriptions of his experiences there, and I often learn something. Without meaning to start a new war Mikester, I have no idea of the point of your posts. All of the guys here are free to pay what they please, go with whom they please, go where they please and when they please. If their descriptions of their adventures strikes a responsive chord, fine, If not, simply ignore the post. What's the problem here?
I would suppose that if one waited long enough, you could find an honest 9 or 10 walking through the doors of the LA Cafe, though I have never actually sighted one. However, it's a fun place, and it takes very little other than a smile and a "hi" to get next to any of the ladies there.

When I go to the LA Cafe I have found that if I go in and relax and have a few beers that the women come up to me and start talking and soon it leads to a discussion of them coming back to my hotel with me. I try to be calm and show some interest, but not too much. She usually quotes me a price that is relatively high and I tell her that is much more than I can afford even though I find her very attractive and I would like her to come back to my room with me.
Usually the girl will continue to talk with me and I will buy her a drink at this point. As we talk, she keeps on quoting me lower and lower prices. In my experience the girl will stop lowering her price at 300 pesos, at which point I usually accept. The girls are not model types, but just average in appearance, which is fine for me, since I am not model type so I don't expect one in return. The service I have gotten from these girls has ranged from excellent to I wish I did it myself.

HesekielsYes, it is very possible. Probably not with all of them, but there are definitely some who would go with you. I had one was very interested in me and asked to meet me after she got off. I told her I would, but her shift wasn't set to end until an hour later. I figured I would just hang out there and drink a few more beers and wait for her, but it didn't work out. I've been a regular traveler to the Philippines for many years, and moved out here permanently 2 months ago for both business and PLEASURE.
I'll start with my take on LA Cafe. First, if the place was no good, why are there more westerners looking for pussy there then the next 10 most popular bars combined. On a busy weekend night, there are about 150 guys there. The entire patronage of EDSA complex, for example, is maybe 50 customers at most, and there are 6 bars in EDSA. Yes, it is true that the vast majority of women at LA Cafe are just plain ugly. That is because of the open nature of the bar. However, make no mistake that you can find beautiful women there. You can also find girls new to the game. You can find naive young Filipinas who heard it is a great place to meet a nice western guy. You can find some of the absoute nastiest, ugliest, fattest women that are embarrasment to the profession. You can find virgins there. The problem is that the volume of worn out, ugly *****s crowd everything else out. The reason that so many of the customers are expats is that for them, if they spend a night in the place and come up empty handed, no problem. But if you only have two weeks, you may want to think twice before spending an evening there. I rarely go there now only because my free time is limited and with traffic from Makati, it takes about 45 minutes to get there. And when I do go, I usually find nothing. HOWEVER, some of the most beautiful, nicest Filipinas I have ever met, I met there. But if you consider that I have been to LA Cafe about 50 times, and only ever had 7 or 8 women there, you can get an idea that it is not a place that you can just go and pick up a honey, unless you are just not very particular. With the Firehouse, for example, you can so there at any time and walk out with a cuttie in less than 5 minutes. The difference is that with the Firehouse, there is no doubt what you are getting. With LA Cafe, you can meet different types of girls.
Due to my limited time, I generally go to massage parlors. While I prefer bargirls, my free time is usually limited to daytime hours and most bars open at 6:00. The beat massage parlor I have found is Starfleet. Make sure you visit both levels - different girls on each. If you go before 7:00, it is 1,200 for the room and 2,000 for the girl. Many of the girls there are 8's and 9's (yes, much, much better then you would typically find at LA Cafe). There is also Air Force one a couple of buildings down, but I was not impressed by what I found there. In Makati, Palacio Don Pedro has a very good line up as well, but it is 2,000 for the room and 2,000 for the girl.
When I do get nights out, I limit my search to three places - EDSA complex, the new entertainment complex in Paranaque, and Visions bar on Roxas. While Visions is out there by itself and you can't walk to another bar if you don't find anything, the high quality of the women there make it worth the trip, and it is only a 5 minute taxi ride from EDSA Complex. P Burgoss is more convenient to where I live, but the high prices and more "professional" attitude of the girls generally motivate me to make the trip to EDSA, although I have certainly found some real hotties there.

Spent just one night in MLA so stayed near the airport at Copacapaba Hotel (1800 pesos, very nice deep water pool). It is next door to the Heritage (twice the price) which is located at the corner of Roxas and EDSA Street. For newbies - read the acronym, not the letters.
Taxi from airport. If you use the 'service' on the ground floor (arrivals) they will overcharge. I was quoted 230. I went upstairs and grabbed a taxi there. Meter was under 60 pesos when I reached the Copa. The thing that really shocked me was the taxi driver asked me to put on my seatbelt. He also never beeped his horn the entire trip. Unfortunately, it was just a fluke. I tipped him well.
Across from the hotel is the EDSA complex. Lots of beauties, few customers. The firehouse was best, but I ended up barfining two (both from Mindanao)from the place just to the left of Firehouse. If you are going to be in Manila for any period of time you can just stay at the Copacabana Hotel which is directly across the street from EDSA. I remember looking out my window and seeing the place and saying, "holy shit, I didnt think I was this close!" I dont personally know of any short time hotels, but others may. You can get a great deal at the Copacabana, its a very good hotel for the price and it has a great swimming pool to entertain your many new friends. I dont remember exactly what kind of deal I got there when I went, but it was around 1200 to 1500 pesos on the top floor. Its around 15 minutes from LA Cafe and maybe 30 to Makati during non rush hours. No problemo with chicas at all.
You can get short time at EDSA just like anywhere else. I never did a short time there but I would imagine that it depends on the quality of the girl and what she is willing to take. Dont forget the bar fine as well. Dont know if the bar fine is less for short time but its worth asking and bargaining for it.
It can get expensive at EDSA if you go for a really hot girl. I would try my luck at LA Cafe and get a decent girl there for all night for 500 pesos, or whatever you want to pay. Remember, you dont have to bring up money in the LA Cafe. If she doesnt bring it up then no need for you to either. Just take her back and start banging.
One guy mentioned that there was some kind of known price for ST and LT in LA Cafe. Sort of like a union set price or something. Thats hogwash as many guys have attested to.
Anyway, when I was in EDSA I was quoted 1000 to 1500 for barfine, then anywhere from 1500 to 3000 for long term. I met a girl there and she was getting off in a couple hours, it was my very first night and she came over and I ended up giving her 1500 in the morning as I knew she would probably have thrown a fit for anything less and she delivered the merchandise up all night long and in the morning as well. Excellent first experience. Dont forget to try and meet the girls after their shift, you can skip the barfine then.

Most EDSA girls prefer short time, and many will not even offer long time - this is not Angeles. Most cuties start arriving around 8:00 pm. The best time to arrive is about 7:45 so you will have first shot at the hot ones when they come in. It is not unusual for the best girls to get barfined within minutes after taking the stage. There are several short time hotels right across the street. The best is Victoria Court. It is 600 Pesos for short time, as opposed to several in the 400 - 500 pesos range, but it really is worth the $2 difference. You would really have to be a down and out Filipino to chose a dump at 500 pesos, when Victoria Court has very nice rooms for 100 pesos extra. Having done the tour now in Manila for my second time, I wanted to share with all the North American mongers that if you're looking for a "clean" settup, you can't beat AirForce one in Manila.
ie. though EDSA is a great location to pick up some hot young thing, the social setting was a little too 'dirty' for one of my partners in crime who's a regular monger in the United States.
Going into AirForce one is like going into a massage parlour in San Fran - but much nicer.
The down side of AirForce one - I'm not sure if anyone has noticed - is that the light and glass that you view the girls through is very deceptive. I'm not sure if this is true or not (I swear there where 3 of us, and none of us was drunk) but all 3 commented that the girl that walked into our rooms was not the same girl that we selected through the glass - all where fatter, shorter, and darker.

I was just in Manila for a few weeks and I must played golf 3 times a week. I've been lucky enough to meet some guys that play 2-3 times a week and belong to several country clubs. But that not what I'm posting about. Some of the guys I know took New York Pinoy and I to a club called Bartolina in Cubao. ...paying only 7 euro's...There are many excellent reasons to want to try to respect LOCAL prices as well as other customs, several of which can also involve concern over the negative effect on local economies and individuals of acting as if one is in London or Toronto or Los Angeles.
The exchange rate in Euros or Dollars or Yen or Marks has absolutely no relevance to the matter whatsoever. None.
The amount in question is a LOT more than a twelve hour day's wages in the local economy, and it is definitely not at all unusual, as many people have reported and I have experienced many times, but whether it is appropriate to the particular situation or not really depends on the circumstances.
This is not really intended as a judgement on the appropriateness of the particular transactaction referenced in that particular post, or on the post itself, since I don't know the nature of any understanding reached or the details of the encounter described, and I really don't want to, given the distateful odor on this section of the forum for about a year now after the launching of the childish narcissistic flame wars which sent it straight into the toilet and have kept it in the sewer ever since.

In relation to Wastrel's point, which was, as usual, accurate, I just read an article in the Philippine Star while flying into Manila tonight from Davao. According to what I read, the "average" wage in Manila, which is the highest priced city in the country, is about PhP300 ($5.50) a day. Getting 7 euros for a few hours work, plus staying in a reasonably nice hotel and being treated well is a far more attractive alternative for these women than the wages they could make as a salesgirl or a burger flipper at the local fast food joint. Not only that, but department stores now often require college degrees from applicants for sales positions. Most of these ladies don't have this credential.
In the same vein, I just had an old car here rebuilt from the ground up. The workmanship is superb, the car looks show room new and the job--which was done entirely by hand-- took three months. The work cost me approximately $2,000 and there was a team of people working on the car all the time. The same work in the states, had I been able to get it done, would have cost at least $20,000. Should I then feel guilty about exploiting the garage that did the work for me? Why? The garage was delighted to get my business and I was very pleased with the result.
As Wastrel indicated, do not confuse what would be outrageous exploitation in the west with penury here. It's an inappropriate comparison and, though it might salve a conscience or two, reflects a total lack of understanding of the local economy. By all means, pay what you like, but understand that for 7 euros, these girls can live at a reasonable level here for a couple of days.

All the bars feature dancers and all require payment of a PhP1,000 barfine to take a girl out. The rest is between you and the girl. Ladies drinks in most of the places are about PhP300. It's cheaper than Burgos, more expensive than the LA Cafe and every taxi driver in the city knows where it is.

The other times I have gone to the Philippines I have either stayed at the Shangri-La in Makati and Edsa or stayed in a family condo in Mandaluyong.
However, I will be going again next month and will be working in the Ortigas area for a couple of weeks and am looking for a nice hotel in that area. I am only concerned about being close to the office--no concern with bars because I can take a taxi if I want to.

This is my recommendation. Go to Edsa, bar hop and talk to the girls. If you find someone compatible ask her if she'd be willing to travel. Easy enough. Better yet, don't ask her to go on the trip until the next morning so that you can better judge her character and techniques.
If you pay a bar fine, and the girl is absent the next day I think she gets fined another 1000. Naturally you have to make it all worth her while. You could do the same thing at LA Cafe. It would cost less, but there are fewer stunners and it would likely be more time consuming.
Here is a question for the others: In addition to paying all expenses how much would you consider reasonable as a tip for a 4 day trip? How about one week?
I don't know how much of an old fart you are, but I'm 40ish, bald and do quite well. They usually speak English well and it's much easier to have a conversation with a Filipina than a Thai girl. I think most of the girls would see it as a great treat to be invited to Boracay. It would likely be her first time on an airplane.
There are girls for hire at both Puerto G and Boracay, but you'll have more to choose from if you take a girl from Manila. There are a lot of younger guys vacationing on Boracay so the stunners would be less likely to go out with an "old fart". Puerto Galera has some clubs, but I don't think you'll find the quality of that in Manila.
When you bring a woman, it's all new for her so she's more likely to enjoy herself. She's also out of her element and away from her friends and therefore would be less likely to cause problems (if she's that type). Some guys will disagree with me, but I never talk money. I prefer the girlfriend fantasy and I usully get it.
If you go to Boracay, I would recommend SEAir over Asian Spirit. If things get unpleasant, just give her some transportation money to get home.

I agree, for the most part, with X man. Do not discuss money with the girl beforehand, though you will have to make a deal with the bar to pay her fines for however long you take her. You can probably bargain, at least slightly, on the total amount. The barfines at EDSA are PhP1,000, so start by offering them PhP500 for every day the lady is gone, and then go up from there.
I also agree that you're better off taking a girl from Manila, for whom this will be a big deal, than relying on your luck in Borocay or some of the other places. Just for the hell of it, I suggest that before you go to EDSA to make a choice, you spend an hour or two at the LA Cafe. It's hit or miss, and you probably will not find a stunner, but you may, and if you do it will be a lot less expensive for you to take her from there.
You mention that you would like to get in some swimming and diving. Two words of caution here. Most of the girls I've met do not know how to swim and many are terrified of the water. Make sure you get someone who at least is not frightened of it. Second, for some reason, many of the women in SE Asia get severe motion sickness and do not do well on boats, which means you would not be able to take her along on a dive boat. Either buy some Bonamine and convince her to take it prior to your boating experience, or find someone who does not get motion sickness.

If you are set on BYO babe to parts unknown in the Philippines, consider barfining two girls who are friends.
From my experience, unless you find one who is very fluent in English, a bit worldly and adventurous, the trip will stall at times when you are drinking, diving, eating or getting to know each other.
For me, at least, it has worked well to bring them in pairs or threes. They are usually open-minded about anything you may want to do and they will be able to babble with someone they are comfortable with in Tagalog when you just cannot take anymore simple conversation and need a break. Just leave them to sleep all day while you dive and meet up with them when you are done and ready to eat, drink and be merry. Being with her for 24/7 after about 48 hrs can be trying even with the best of sports.
GE is pretty on target telling you most do not swim and get seasickness easily. And, most have hardly ever traveled anywhere in their own country except to and from Manila and their province.
Another way to take this on and save money if you bring a harem is to forgo the airfare and book a nice cabin on one of the Super Ferries. It will take a day to get there, but it is relaxing, has decent foods, accomodations and a bar at night.
And, it will not cost you much more. Really. And a little variety in the nocturnal rounds may be fun.

I just got back last week from Puerto Galera, the diving there was very good, the food so so. I was there with the wife, so it was all "G" rated.
I did however meet a fellow there, who had picked up an absolute doll at a bar his first night in PG. He paid her BF for 2 weeks, and she moved in with him at the Atlantis. She was gorgeous, and was very GFE. Wiped his brow when he was hot, did his laundry, carried his reading glasses in her purse when they went out to dinner.

Anyway, my friend had business to take care of in the morning, and I ended up picking up a lovely at LA Cafe.

Just wanted to stress X-mans point on taking sea air instead of Asian Pacific. Asian Pacific may appear cheap, but they overbook and then its first come first searved. There are no guaranteed seats on Asian Pacific. I knew this, arrived two hours before the flight, and still didn't get on the plane. I had purchased a ticked with a confirmed date, but it made no difference. Since preference is given to all of the people who didn't make it on the prior days flight, every flight gets pushed back indefinately. This way, they get full flights every time and can offer the cheapest prices. This is the second time in three flights that this has happend to me but being the cheap guy that I am, I still flew with them as I thought that by arriving early, I would get a seat. Since I live here, not the end of the world (but I will never use them again), but for international travelers with international connecting flights, you should be aware of this issue. Maybe the worst thing about them is the way they handle it. As soon as they book the last seat, every one disappears and a security guard comes out. There is no one to even to complain to. And if you ask the security guard why you cannot board the plane even though you have a "confirmed ticket", he says that you are late because you did not make it to the counter within 45 minutes of departure. Being in line two hours before departure doesn't count. I guess arriving 4 hours before the flight would work, but even I am not that cheap.
Once again I am overwhelmed by this input of opinion and experience. What a great site for us all eh? How can you tell I am Canadian eh?

So i think i will play a wee bit in Manilla , and then do what i intended and get to a nice beach area and i heard that puerto GAllera is really beautiful and has some night life as you mentioned. I think Angeles is from what i hear a bit tackyish. a small pattaya. For me a nice bungalow on a beach with my honey po close by with my glasses in her purse and a bar a stones throw away and i'm in heaven. Anchored off the coast of Boracay was a large vessel. I noticed some people had some sort of discount coupons in their hands, but I don't remember the name of the shipping line, nor the price. I think this is an overnight ferry, so you save the money you would pay for a hotel.

If you go to PG, you can take a ferry from Batangas, which will drop you off at the “ferry terminal” in PG. You can then walk around, and find accommodations which suit your style and budget. I stayed at the Atlantis, which is a dedicated dive resort, with nationalities from all over the world, families, couples, and single guys with their hired help. There are dozens of hotels and guesthouses; it should not take you long. But there are no idyllic thatched roof bungalows on the beach, if that is what you are looking for.
I certainly wouldn’t say PG itself is beautiful. There is hardly any beach, and no beach at all at high tide. I think to call it a town is a bit of a stretch. It is more a few alleyways, restaurants, discos, and bars. As I said, I didn’t do any of that scene, but just walking around after dinner, you could see the “ladies of the evening” getting ready. There are some very cute ones, and some, how shall I say……not so cute ones. A barometer of mine, has often been if the girl smokes, and the quality of her HP. That will tell me how hard core she is (JMHO, YMMV). There are quite a few who look like they have been around the block several times. The girl my fiend picked up was a newbie, and I believed her. She was too sweet an innocent and helpful to be seasoned.
I did go to Boracay 25 years ago, and it was heaven. Same thing with Ko Samui in LOS. Don’t want to spoil the memories though, and will never go back to either of the places. OK. A little OT.
So, I am in the States but keeping in communication with a girl in Manila. Her cell phone is terrible and often won't let her send or receive text messages at times and she often has to take it to the repair shop. When I go back, I want to buy her a phone as a present but I want to buy it here and bring it to her.
I know most Filipinas are comfortable with Nokia and that is what she has now. I was thinking of getting her a Nokia 6820 the one with a camera and opens up to a full keyboard but I also want her to have a nice phone representative of her "American BF"... :)
Anyone know an inexpensive "in" phone? I can get a 6820 for about $150.

just wanted to stress x-mans point on taking sea air instead of asian pacific. asian pacific may appear cheap, but they overbook and then its first come first searved. there are no guaranteed seats on asian pacific. i knew this, arrived two hours before the flight, and still didn't get on the plane. i had purchased a ticked with a confirmed date, but it made no difference. since preference is given to all of the people who didn't make it on the prior days flight, every flight gets pushed back indefinately. this way, they get full flights every time and can offer the cheapest prices. this is the second time in three flights that this has happend to me but being the cheap guy that i am, i still flew with them as i thought that by arriving early, i would get a seat. since i live here, not the end of the world (but i will never use them again), but for international travelers with international connecting flights, you should be aware of this issue. maybe the worst thing about them is the way they handle it. as soon as they book the last seat, every one disappears and a security guard comes out. there is no one to even to complain to. and if you ask the security guard why you cannot board the plane even though you have a "confirmed ticket", he says that you are late because you did not make it to the counter within 45 minutes of departure. being in line two hours before departure doesn't count. i guess arriving 4 hours before the flight would work, but even i am not that cheap.

I just got back from Boracay. It is definitely not what it used to be. Although it is still nice, it's been overdeveloped, as any Filipino will tell you. They still have the white beaches but the hotels have grown in size and you will be hard-pressed to find a spot in the water where you aren't in danger of being run over by a boat as it comes in to shore. Not to mention the jet skis, parasailing, banana rides, etc. I enjoyed my stay but won't go back. Especially since the quality of the girls can be pretty low. Comparing it to Puerto Galera, which I visited in December, I found Puerto Galera to have far less in the way of beaches, but the amenities were better and the girls were better looking. You still pay a high price on Boracay since it is viewed as being a bit more exclusive (I watched a Filipina actress named Princess get married to a foreigner on the beach).
By the way, I know what you mean about preserving memories. I lived on Koh Pangan (off of Koh Samui) for a month in the early 90's before the island turned into a giant full moon rave party. Incredibly, it was so prestine and quiet I slept on the beach with just a fire and a beach blanket. I'll never go back knowing what it looks like today. The question is, where to next?

My question is: I usually stay in the Ermita area. On my way returning to the airport I notice alot of large clubs on the left hand side of Roxas Boulevarde, opposite the bay and the Yacht Club area. Can anyone tell me if these clubs are discos and if so, what are the best ones. Also, what is this area called?

What you really need to do is RTFF, intelligently. Try a Google search for "Metro Manila, Alabang, map." You will quickly find out that Alabang is a very pricey locale in Muntinlupa City, one of the municipalities comprising Metro Manila. The map will give you some key street names & other reference points that you can then use to search the Forum. Alternatively, the map will orient you to how far you are likely going to be from "action and/or sensual massage." Whilst I've never been to this part of Metro Manila, I'm 99% certain it would be a first among major metro areas world-wide if you were to find what you're looking for in close proximity to major league residential wealth! The Forum is here for sharing information among members/participants, not to get someone to do your homework for you.

finder... not a whole lot going on in alabang. Theres some large malls( Festival and Town Center) and a posh housing subdivision Ayala Alabang. Theres Muntinlupa city also which is a trafifc nightmare. I lived in Alabang for four years and whilst it want too difficult to pick up a college girl, or even secretary working there, or a mall cruiser, theres very little in massage action.

The coolest place in the Philippines is the mountain city of Baguio,5,000-6,000 feet above sea level and about 45 minutes drive from the La Union beaches.Temprature there is always in the 60 s and 70 s.Baguio is a 3 hour drive from Angeles City .
Red Cork, you aren't going to feel hot on the beach. The water cools things down and if you get sweaty just jump in. I'll try to post some info about Boracay in the "other places" section.
Manila can be miserable. You might consider finding a hotel with a pool. Either that or take a shower three or four times a day.
Cutey was at EDSA bullets. Get to the EDSA bars early and you won't be disappointed.

Sorry, I don't have any details, but what your lady is talking about and what I did is probably the same. It will definitely make your lady happy. As for me, having lived three years on a destroyer I don't get so excited about cruises.
It isn't expensive and it lasts an hour or two. I didn't eat, so can't say anything about the food. It might be expensive. I'd recommend eating before hand and then just order drinks on the boat. I hung out on the top deck where the band was. The next deck down was the dining area which looked rather upscale. You can also order food on the top deck.
They have a live band which I didn't care for.
You should be able to fine it on Roxas blvd. If it isn't at the waterfront, it is out in the bay and is brightly lit.

The cruise runs aprx. every second hour from boardwalk, cross roxas bouleward from the aristocrat restaurant in malate then turn left on the boardwalk just a small walk there is a check-in area when the ship is out.
You can choose for a cruise w. set menu or just the cruise. not too expensive.

I was in Alabang for the first time with my girlfriend. There seemed (this is an observation rather that a hard fact) to be a lot of available non-pros on the area. Patientce, being out going and a good smile should go a long s long way.

X Man asked about taking the ferries earlier. I have not been replying to the forum lately. Just watching and reading. Not much to go on here if you have been around the Phils a bunch. It is mostly the same hash.
I only took the ferry one time from Cebu to Manila. There are several that make the various routes and I was on the Superferry. I had flown up a girl I knew from Manila and she accompanied me back. We booked a suite which is no bargain compared to flying, but I enjoyed the easy slow way of travel. She mostly slept except for the every three hours I went back to the room to indulge. We ate in a nice dining room. Had a decent in-room shower. There was a bar and a disco at night. The crew had their annual party which we enjoyed at the bar that night. Overall, I enjoyed it and bringing the sure thing along was an added benefit. The drawback is it takes time (24 hrs from Cebu to Manila), but it is still a great way to have a captive partner to enjoy. It would be even more fun if you knew a pair or a threesome with liberal sensibilities. Hehehehehe.
I have been in and out of the Phils 14 times since December. I have been up to Cebu alot. The Sunflower Disco is amazing to meet girls. Alot are bargirls taking a break for a night and so easy to meet and get to know.
Last visit to Manila was two weeks ago. I finally managed to get over to the new Entertainment Center across from Domestic Airport. It has about a dozen bars that are similar but nicer than EDSA. The girls are very much the same as EDSA, however. But, for me, that is a good thing. I was the only customer in the one I settled in and had reams of attention. They all were fun. I brought along a stack of single and handed them out indiscriminantly. The twenty girls/bartenders/waitresses loved this as this probably doubled or tripled their salary. Two left with me for a 1000 (less than $20) peso barfine and we went to some karaoke place they wanted. I ate and drank more while they sang their hearts out in a private room. I had fun and the girls loved my sole karaoke joke where I fart as loudly as possible into the microphone. Although I was tired, they insisted in coming back to my hotel. Tremendous sports. Fun night. It is a buyer's paradise at the new, slow Entertainment Complex. The girls are younger (most less than 20) and less sophisticated than at the karaoke bars on Burgous, Quezon City and Roxas. And, maybe not as striking., but if you like the tiny browns. This is perfect.
I also tried out Harry's (snore) and Amazonia on Mabini Street just down from LA Cafe. Amazonia is nice with decent girls and good atmosphere. Not so much hustle there, but as much or as little action as you care to take on. LA Cafe is really getting rougher in my estimation. Shabu is rampant and the girls are not nearly as nice or as nice looking as even a few months ago, but this is probably hit or miss on the nights you go there. Plus, I keep running into the same crowd there and they hound you for attention if you have known them before and were generous to them.
For classier and more sophisticated action, Havana's in Greenbelt is the place. Plenty of non-pros and pros. It can be hard to tell them apart before the first fifteen minutes of your conversation. Then it will be very apparent. Rockwell Mall on the other side of Burgos is a swank place to hang out for cafe life at night. It is also a great date place if you like someone or she is so hot you just want to be in public with her! You can also get out of Makati and head over to Eastwood for outdoor cafes and incredible eye-candy. Adriatico Street on Malate is also fun to hang out at for normal bars and gilrs and music. I can recommend Bedrock's and Unplugged, but they all are pretty much the same.
In Paranaque near the airport is Air Force One Spa and Starfleet. I prefer the elegance of AF1. Fish bowl set up and a great way to leave Manila on your flight home. Go massage and company. Takes about an hour and a half. For those of you familar, it is exactly the same but classier than Skyline in Grand Boulevard on Roxas.
A really nice hotel in Ermita with a pool is the Manila Diamond. It is not the cheapest, though. Someone had asked in an earlier post. In the end, as far as hotels, you can stay anywhere in Manila and get a taxi because it is so cheap and at night there is hardly any traffic. If you need to get around during the day, then traffic can be murder. Just make sure they turn on the meter. I have never found it necessary to use over-priced hotel taxis, but that is just me.
The last few visits I met many girls from internet sites. It is alot of work and the goods are not always what they seem. Fake pix sometimes and theendless tales of "Oh, I didnt tell you I had a baby/bf/husband?" There is everything from professionals to college girls to out and out storytellers. This is the Phils and every girl you meet will have a story and a line of bola. You have to judge for yourself and make decisions accordingly. For one guy's experience, if she asks for money up front on cam, you are foolish to part with it. She is hustling a dozen other guys and may have no intention of ever meeting. Regardless of what she tells you.
If you are new to Manila or the Philippines, my recommendation is to forget most of any online chatters you meet or dont let them know you are in town until you played around a bit. At a minimum, get two distinctly different SIM cards for your cellphone so you don't get hounded by recent friends texting you for more and more. Make it easy on yourself and go to EDSA or the Entertainment Complex. The price is ridiculously low to have a great night and if you are not used to this, it is mind-blowing at first. It is like a kid in a candy store where you can sit back and drink and gawk. It is truly a strip club where you get take out! But, you can literally meet and date any girl you strike up a conversation with in this country so there is no need to do much heavy lifting. Be safe and generous with your new friends. In the end, they have a tough life, indeed.

I agree 100% with the warnings about meeting women online. If you have the time, this is a lot of fun. It's possible to get laid the first night, but it's also possible to meet a virgin.
In my case I mostly got normal girls, but they often brought along chaperones who turned out to be more interesting or more attractive than the original target.
Get several pictures if possible. But even if she turns out to be a dog, you might get to meet the whole family -- which could turn out to be a wonderful experience. It's through these online acquaintences that I've experienced...

Had a good Filipino friend of mine in town today so I decided it was a good opportunity to try some Filipino places that I had been curious about. Airport road is one way road that connects the airport to Roxas Blvd. Right where it connects to Roxas are a bunch of Filipino KTV joints and bars. It is about a 10 minute walk from Roxas along the road to where the bars end. Lots of girls standing outside many of them, but many with little to indicate what goes on inside. Outside one was about 8 girls. They were cute, but not quite up to what you find in EDSA comlex, for example. Went inside and was immediately escorted upstairs. It was weird up there. About ten tiny cubicles with curtains. Inside each cubicle was two chairs and a small shelf for the drinks. It was 500 Pesos ($10) to take a girl into the cubicle. I can only imagine what goes on in there, but it certainly was not my style. Interesting, but time to leave I thought.
Went into another place that had no girls outside, but looked lively. As you walk in, there are about 20 girls sitting down. They were actually quite cute. They were the type that Filipinos tend to like – tall with fair skin. I of course like the short little brown fucking machines. They were all very well dressed in gowns with perfect hair and makeup. You pick one and take her to your table. It was also 500 Pesos to take a girl to your table. I didn’t see anyone I was interested in (they were cute, just not my type), although I certainly did see a couple I liked that had already been chosen. There was a live band and it was a comfortable place. And it was REALLY cheap. Beers were only 34 pesos, about 75 cents. I don’t know what the bar fine is (or even if the girls are available for take out), but I may come back to the place. I don’t remember the name, but it was the lively bar opposite the big miss world bar ( I may check that bar out as well next time).
I then decided to check out East Asia on Roxas. I have wanted to go there ever since I first read about it a couple of years, but never had the opportunity, or felt curious enough to cough up with the entrance fee. And since I knew the bar fines were steep and I wouldn’t take a girl anyway, I never saw the point. But today I was curious. I wanted to check out the most expensive club this side of Quezon City (well I understand Pharoah KTV is even more, but that place is new and East Asia has a history). As we walked in, we were seated by the stage. I was then explained the charges. 800 P entrance, 1000 P to get a girl to your table, 8000 P bar fine plus two drinks minimum for the girl (500 P each) if you want to take the girl out. And that is for short time. Extra for the girl is not required. Long time requires a tip for the girl, and it is up to her if she wants to do long time. So basically, if want to go there and take a girl out, it will run about $200 US. Just walking in there is $20 minimum for the cover and one drink ( they conveniently open a beer as soon as you sit down). So why would anyone pay those ridiculous prices? Well, I don’t really know, but I must say that there was some very HOT girls there indeed. If you like the fair skinned model type, you are in heaven. I could afford the place for an occasional special fuck, but I see no need when I can get about the same quality for much less. I am glad I saw the place, but I won’t be back.
Ended off the night at LA café. But because I had to be home by 2am and I had spent most of the night doing research, there was no time for a girl. Bummer
Day 3
After my visit to the new Entainment Center, went back to EDSA Entairment Complex, close to Heritage Hotel.
Again – having a good time… had some beers, and some tempuras (fried chrimps). Played a little reluctant with the Floor Manager Marie, like in not sure it to BF any ladies that night. She worked hard to find a suitable one, and suggested Meldi(e) to me after a while. Meldie was cute, easy to talk with – and I finally ended up with her. Left Casino about 2230 with her, after paying a BF of PhP 1000. Agreed PhP 2000 for her service, but asking first what was her do’s and don’t’s. She said only limitations was anal. Fine with me! Back in the hotel at 2300 – had shower, then fun. Hard time in cumming because of previous encounters, but she put her heart and soul in to it. She was talkative, in a nice way, so I enjoyed her company (and she mine. The latter I learned when talking to the Floor Manager (mama-san) on Tuesday evening when I visited again). Here are some pics of the Hyatt in Malate. This hotel is brand new and is extremely girlfriendly. I wonder how long the older Hyatt (Hyatt Regency - only ok - I think Ali stayed there when he had his "Thrilla in Manila" in 1975) will be able to retain any customers, especially when they want $85 or so a night.

Well, some very good news to report. July 6, 2005, was the grand opening of Butterfly bar on Del Pilar St, next door to Amazonia bar. This is the first go-go bar to open in Manila in about 30 years, so it was a big event indeed! Now, many of you are probably saying "there are many go-go bars in Manila, such as EDSA complex and P. Burgos". However, they are in Passay or Makati, part of an area considered Metro Manila. Manila proper has not had a gogo bar since Mayor Lim closed them all down about 30 years ago. This was before my time, but supposedly back then Manila was the capital of the gogo bar scene and was so large that it was even bigger than Patpong or Angeles. Then, in one massive operation, Mayor Lim closed them all down. Some moved to Passay, but Manila was no more. While the opening of one bar does not mean Manila is back, it is a start. And Butterfly is not a bad start. About 30 girls on the opening night. Lots of fun and everyone having a good time. The only problem is the bar fine was 1,900 pesos. Considering that's the same as the bar fine in Flamingo on Burgos (Flamingo certainly has more beautiful women then Butterfly, albeit, they have a little attitute), and the EDSA barfine is only 1,000, I think that that Butterfly is overpriced. However, since there are many hotels in the area and they are currently the only game in town, they should have no problem getting it.

July 6, 2005, was the grand opening of Butterfly bar on Del Pilar St, next door to Amazonia bar. This is the first go-go bar to open in Manila in about 30 years, so it was a big event indeed!
Am on safari in Manila and checked out the Butterfly Bar. Standard go-go (bikini dancing) bar owned by the guy who runs Foxy's on P Burgos. There is quality talent available (there was a sweet slim 18yo named Joy circulating as well as some other tasty looking ladies), but IMHO was not the norm and it certainly comes at a price. Bar fine was total PHP1,900, which was a PHP1,000 base fine plus 3x300 peso lady drinks. I thought this was a most odd pricing structure, capturing both the high PHP1,000 bar fine of EDSA Complex as well as the obligatory lady drinks of P Burgos. Considering that Butterfly sits in the neon shadows of LA Cafe just 1 min walk up the street, I struggled to see any strong advantage. There were no less than three girls I recognized as LA Cafe originals, so the talent pool cannot be considered exotic. The girls told me that the girls also come in from Amazonia and the sister bar at Burgos, so expect the talent to shuffle regularly.
All in all, Butterfly Bar is a relaxed and cozy atmosphere compared to LA Cafe and the girls were not as mercenary as P Burgos. The girls did not immediately assault me with lady drink requests (as I dislike at P Burgos) and the girls all cheered when one of the punters brought a girl out. All the benefits of being a new place. Worth checking out and might produce an occasional gem.

Happened to be in Manila last week during the big Anti-Arroyo rally, which was held in the Makati business district. Had to walk from my hotel to another hotel for a meeting, so brought my video camera. Getting into one of these demonstrations, you really see how the media (foreign and domestic) can really distort what is really happening. The pictures on TV made it seem like a real massive crowd.
The first picture I took from my hotel room. Once I got down onto the street I could just see people milling around. People must have thought I was bloody CNN or something because, as soon as they spotted me, they started waving their arms and cheering. Quite a festive atmosphere. Basically most people were wearing t-shirts from rival political parties and just chatting with each other.
You can see the pic I took with all the jeepneys lined up. I guess most were just bussed in for the event. I almost fell to the ground laughing when I got near the speaker truck - there was some guy singing "Oust GMA" to the tune from the song "YMCA."

Went out last night to Miss Universal in Pasay City, Harrison Street with a group of 5 girls and another American guy. This is a stripper bar popular with Asian businessmen. I started paying a lot of attention to RP in 97 onward, as I was planning my "big" trip, which actually took place in 2000. In late 99 or early 2000, Erap's administration was unhappy with the statistics on AIDs being collected by the government, so they stopped collecting information at the governmental level. That and the tendency of Filipinos who have contracted the disease to not be as open about it as here in the US (shame perhaps), gives the illusion that the rate is so low. It may be 1%, but it also may be higher, who knows.

I was wondering the same thing. I just returned to the States after a 6 week stay in Manila. Stayed at the Richmonde in a 1 bedroom suite for about 2 weeks, had some huge cockroaches so I moved to Linden Suites for about 2 1/2 weeks to a 1 bedroom suite when my wife came.
After my wife left I decided I didn't need to be in Ortigas and could move to Makati so I stayed in the City Garden for 1 night, didn't like that so I moved to the Mandarin for my last 1 1/2 weeks. When it was all said and done, I spent probably about 200,000+ pesos on rooms.
Next time I go I would like to look for a place on a monthly basis but I don't want to be near the Burgos area because my wife and some clients will probably be there. I was told that for about 100,000 I can find an independent person who would rent a nice place. I'll probably need to go back to Ortigas the next time I am there.
Anyone know if this 100,000 is an accurate number?

I would recommend moveandstay.com. I found a very nice furnished studio in a good part of Makati for 30,000. For 100,000, you should be able to find something exceptional. I am currently paying 80,000 for 2,500 sq ft in one of the best (in my opinion, the best) buildings in Makati, but to get a rate like that you would need a 6 month lease at least.
On arrival at the Cebu Pacific terminal I was pleasantly surprised to find a metered taxi rank (and not screwy meters either). It was just 70 pesos to the Dusit. This is the first time in years of arrivals at this terminal to have metered taxis available so close to baggage claim. Also, they've cleared the touts that used to pounce on people just outside of baggage claim. Could somebody with good sense finally be in charge at the airport here? However, I did read that in August a new taxi scheme will be started, with new flat fees to different parts of town. So the happy situation could be short-lived.
Besides that it didn't take me long to get fed up with these Manila taxi guys. There's always trying to scam you somehow. This never seems to happen in Cebu or Davao. Just be firm and they'll switch on the meter.
I went by the Rockwell Mall late one afternoon. There was some good eye candy to be sure. Some of it was definitely of the attitude variety though. For my money Glorietta is a much better place to hunt. But that's just one guy's impression from one visit.

La cafe is in Emirita, Edsa is in Pasay near the airport 20 min taxi. Most
hotel in Emirita are only 3 star, 25 usd to 35 usd a night.
Malate is a better choice is 10 min walk from LA Cafe, many bars around this area with the Robinson Mall, which is very good for hunting .
Malate hotels:
3 star hotel - Rothman Inn - 1400 peso very friendly staff
4 star hotel - Pan Pacific -2600 peso - nice hotel w casino
4 star hotel - Grand bivd - 2000 peso - nice hotel in Roxas Blvd w skyline massage on the 10 th floor w casino
I try all this hotel before. Last trip 2 months ago I stayed in Grand Bivd and tried the massage for 2700, massage and fs. You can walk to La cafe or 15 min taxi

I am assuming you are talking about Miss Universal. I can confirm that it is 2500 consumable for a VIP room or 3500 for a larger VIP room or the upstairs VIP rooms with Karaoke.
My advice is to talk to the Floor Manager (I recommend Vangie) and tip her a couple hundred and ask her who is game. Then, take the 2500 VIP room because if you get a Karaoke room the girl might want to waste your time and sing. It costs 460 pesos/hour for a girl which includes one drink for her. If it is just you, buy 3 or 4 drinks for the girl up front and then the waitress won't bother you for 3 or 4 hours. In that time you should be able to get a good GFE.

Don't know why my post isn't showing up in the Makati section, but what the heck, this is Manila also:
It seems like you can easily pick up girls many public places. For example the Makati area around the Landmark mall. They hang out at the Starbuck's on Dela Rosa and Rizal Drive and will wave at you or approach you, it's a sure bet. It's interesting that you can't ever get one approaching you in the mall or openly in the parks, but rather on certain side-walks, particularly where those abundant security people won't see.
On one of the pedestrian overpasses over Makati Ave to Greenbelt Park, a girl got into my way asking me "can I go with you?". But I didn't know how to react and just went on. Then around that small park on Rizal and North Drive I saw two really pretty girls there, and it was very, very tempting. So, I had a cigaret close by hoping they might approach me and I could at least chat a bit to find out what's in store and how I could get them into my hotel room without hassles. But they didn't come to me. However, as I walked by them they "hello"-ed me as I expected.
But I'm not a real monger, have business associates staying with me in the same hotel and didn't want to run into them with the girls. I'm kind of shy and wasn't up to it tonight because I have to get up early tomorrow. So I just passed by. Perhaps a shame from a monger's viewpoint, the one was really pretty as far as I could see. Darn, I feel like going right back and see if they are still there (suspect not.) If I was less inhibited, I should have availed of this offer. Perhaps next time when I am here alone.
Anyway, to me this seems far more straight-forward than these bars, simply cutting out overpriced drinks and barfine, and instead get right down to it. The cozy part of the night is longer that way also, as it is only 10 pm.
The hotel makes a big deal about being careful with "people" who approach you. So I don't know if some of those are scams, particularly because there were also a lot of local guys hanging out. What's the risk?

I'm planning a trip (my second) to the PI and would like to know if anyone has stayed at the Swagman Hotel in Manila and what they thought of it?
Is it convenient to good mongering areas? Any good info would be appreciated, I'm kind of thinking about a Manila, Angeles, Subic and Bagiuo loop.
One more, I have not been able to find if there are flights from Manila to Phnom Phen, anyone know about this?

Swagman is a dump, very old motel with smelly room, there is many hotel around emirta area $ 20-25.00 usd cheaper and better. They do have a bus service to Angeles City, but is twice as much than Phililpine Rabbit bus line.
Manila to Phnom Phen, you need to go to bangkok first Thai Airway or Malay
Asia Air line thur KL, or Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong and Dragon Air to PP.

Room service was over priced and cold.

I stay there back on 2002 for 2 night. It is around 2600 peso for a single std room with no view. You need to shop around for price on hotel, internet doesn't alway get you the best rate. Check with travel agent in Malate area or just show up if they have room you will get a good deal, $ 80.00 USD a night is too much. You can stay at the new Hyatt for $ 65.00 new hotel they have alot of empty room now is slow season. Grand Bivd is a little rundown need renovation but skyline is great.

Spent a few days in Manila this week. Here is my report:
Entertainment Center across the street from the domestic airport is still dead. I was talking to the Belgian manager and he said they tried everything to get people out there, but until now no result. The 7-8 bars there are filled with talent and very, very few customers. At 10:00pm, I saw only one white guy and three Japanese guys in all of the bars. Anyway, I pulled one out of My Fair Lady who claimed to be "new on the game" and never been with a customer. How many of you hear the same story? Does anybody believe this? To cut a long story short, service was just average and the damage was 1,000 bar fine + 1,500 ST for the girl.
Next night, I came back from a business function rather late so called for room service to the hotel from a freebie girl I've known for a couple of years. She brought a friend and they gave me a very nice massage followed by a joint BBBJ. I straddled the friend and did her Russian while the other girl rimmed me from behind. I could not take this for too long and blew CIF on the friend. Very nice finish. Damage was only 1,000 for the friend.
At the recommendation of Cebu Local, I tried the Skyline. Frankly, I was disappointed with the experience. Cebu Local explained that it was 1,000 for the house, 1,000 for the girl. She started to cry about my offer for 1,000. What bullshit is this? I finally agreed to the 1,500 since I had already invested 1,000 in a worthless massage. I asked for BBBJ and she said covered only and started to cry again. I could see this was going downhill, showered and left, 1,000 poorer and still horny.
After dinner, I went to the LA Cafe. The place was packed. I pulled a half black girl (JoAnna). Again, service was just average. Too many teeth in the BBBJ and she appeared to be in pain with the FS, even missionary. Either being fooled and not sadistic, I stopped and finished with a BBBJCIM. Damage for ST was 1,000 + 100 taxi fare. I am curious about pricing out of LA Cafe for the veterans. One Brit I met there claimed he never pays more than 800 LT, plus breakfast. The girl told me that some of the "older" ladies may go for 500 ST, but not the younger, better looking ones. And, I've read about different prices on this thread. What is the going rate?

Yes, I hear the "my first day" story a lot. However, many times it is true. You would be surprised on the number of women who work in a bar only a day or two before deciding it is not for them. After a having a 100 or so girls, you develop a good sense on knowing which ones really a day old, as opposed to the fakes. I can usually tell before calling them over, although I certainly make plenty of bad calls.
And yes, the Entertainment center really is dead. Lots of tallent, but know customers. I don't how much longer the place will survice, so if you like LOTS of attention, its the place to go.
I would have to disagree with oldasianhand that the talent in Manila is weak right now. As long as you hit the right bars, you should have absolutely no problem. Right now, my short list of the best bars in Manila are:
Flamingo -Burgos
Bullets and Arrows - EDSA
Firehouse - EDSA
Visions - Roxas
Foxys - Burgos
While the top bars generally stay on top, and the bottom bars stay at the bottom, there are always changes for the 90% in the middle. just a couple of months ago, you could always find a babe at Rascalls or dimples, while Hollywood and the Jungle/ivory coast were full of old hags. Now, it is the reverse.
I made my first trip to the domestic airport entertainment center. I can see two reasons why it's dead. First, it's poorly named. Second, the taxi driver's don't know about it. If you want to go there and the taxi driver is confused, ask to go to the domestic airport. You'll be on a large road and you'll see the Cebu Pacific buildings. If I recall, there is a big red sign out front. The sign says, "Entertainment Center".
When the taxi pulled in I noticed numerous girls standing out front of each establishment and they'll be shouting for you to come to there bar. Most places had few or no customers.
The first place I went to, there was a dancer with a playboy centerfold body. Or so I thought. When I got her down next to me, she turns out to be 4'9". But, what a bod. I would have barfined her but....

The fact that EDSA Entertainment Center is quiet is nothing new, nor is it surprising. At the same time LA Cafe is full. Maybe the owners and girls at EDSA should wake up to the fact that 1000 bar fine plus say 1500 ST for the girl is simply not going to work. Especially with LA Cafe having no bar fines and AC 1000 Peso, no extras for the girl. Strange the way some people run businesses. Burgos is different as it is in Makati and some companies take guests there on 'expense accounts', hence the ridiculous bar fine & drinks prices.

i agree with xmen and fastpiston , in manila there is so many option i have no idea why the new entertainment center is bulid , the old edsa ent center don't have enough customer already , they need to lower the bar fine to get more customer, I think 500 peso is a good number .
We can go to LA cafe no bar fine or go to angeles city or cebu that is much cheaper, so many choice so little time.

Well me being a bad boy and all, I want to spend a couple nights in the good areas. Should I ahng out around Makati, or somewhere else. I usually pay 1500 for long time. If they try to leave early I give them 1000 and complain that I thought it was for all night. Some complain and some don't. I guess you can call me cheap Charley.
I don't mind the bar fine price at EDSA though. Getting to see the girls half naked is a big plus. You know what you're getting and what you aren't getting (stretch marks for example). I usually pay quite a bit more for a date here where I am....I mean a normal date where you might not even get a kiss good night.

The girls in places like LA Cafe in Manila and Thermae in Bangkok tend to cover up with clothing and you get the strech marks more often than not. This can often be the case with the "PR" girls in EDSA, as well.

Arrived in the evening and went to EDSA complex to try Belts & Whistles around 11PM. Quality was OK but really not as good as I would have hoped. Conclusion:

MU is more upscale than any other place and is realy nice but expensive (and everyone is asking for tips when you leave too).
Cafe Havana and the surrounding area are real nice
Hard Rock is so so in my book
LA Cafe is hit/miss with a lot of seasoned, sometimes too seasoned, pros.
EDSA is quick but also hit/miss. Not all mamasans are reliable.

In one of the many times I was there, I saw two girls escorted out when one of the bartenders called the manager after they approached me and he overheard their questions to me. I was in Manila about 2 weeks ago and I had such great experiences at the massage place in the Grand Hotel on Roxas ( next to Adriatico Restaurant ) that I thought I would stop in on my way to the airport as I was leaving town. I went up the elevator, and to my surprise, there was no fishbowl to select the girls from. Instead I was led down the hallway to a room with a tv and a few chairs and couches, and there were about 10 girls all in street clothes. I posted this report in the Angels City section, but since I am a regular in the Manila forum and many Manilans make Angeles City side trips, I am also posting it here. If you want to respond to it, you should do so in the Ageles city forum.
First some background. I live in Manila and make it to AC every couple of months. I have been going to AC off and on for the past 8 years. In Manila, I will typically barfine about 20 girls a month.
Anyway, my trip in August was typical - 3 cute girls i two days. My trip this Monday and Tuesday was FAR different from any other trip - 0 girls in two days.

The first issue is that if these girls really are virgins, why are only the cute ones virgins. What happens after they "lose their cherry"? Since most virgins that lose their virginity in a bar become bar girls, there should be some ex-cherry girls working (at least one!!) In Manila, I regularly find girls who really did just lost their cherry, and they are just cute as when they were vigins (I go to bars so often here that I find many real cherry girls, and find the same girls at a later date working in the same bar as regular bar girls - and I almost always barfine them). Therefore, it is pretty clear that most cherry girls in Angeles are not virgins.
The biggest issue is why this change was so sudden. I know it is not just my perception because in this trip I went with 3 other people - one who had been to AC before, and two for whom it was their first trip. But the point is, right now, AC is dead. Unless you are on a budget and can only afford 1,200 Peso for a fuck, there is no reason to go there. If you can find 2,500 to 3,000, you will have much better quality in Manila.

You are right, in my estimation only about 20% of the girls in AC / Manila who say they are Cherry Girls are really virgins. Well, that being said, I usually don't spend time in the more expensive places.

The A-list are higher. Heartbeat (GRO=P8,000 minimum, Model=P11,000-13,000). Legende (P10,000). Pegasus (P8,000 P11,000 P13,000 depending on girl category). AirForce-1 same as Pegasus. I'm surprised there isn't much info in this forum about the bars in Burgos. I go to MNL every three months or so and after having tried several other areas and places, I now have become a "regular" of Bottoms. I usually go there on weekdays around 10-11 PM. If you go toward the water you will be at baywalk, right where the dinner boat ties up. (more about baywalk below). A nice hotel is hotel Frendy on Mabini street.
The price is low, 1300Php including breakfast.
