I have been a lot of time in the past to Manila but it already took a while (almost 5 years now) never been there. I wonder if the old hang out I have been before still there like those *****s house in China Town (mostly students and virgin gave their first time to these stunners working here) , the Maalikaya Massage Parlors in Quezon city and also few establishment in 2nd avenue calookan and also in Monumento Central and lastly those freelancer in Harrizon Plaza. so please let me know if these are still the hang out for mongering brothers. I plan to visit Manila this december and I hope within 2 weeks time I wanted to enjoy the best of my trip to Asia. Please advise and thanks!

Just to sum up what Cebu Local has already told you...

...you can probably go to all the places mentioned, although I wouldn't bother with AC. Save it for a longer trip. With only two days, I wouldn't bother with freebies either.

If I had only two nights and was staying in Makati, this is what I would probably do:

Start in the late afternoon and go to LA cafe. From there you can bar hop to some other places in the area. You can also do some shopping and/or flirting at Robinsons. There are many money changers in the area. I also like the middlle eastern restaurant which is just a stone's throw from LA cafe (going away from the bay....I don't remember the name).

If you really want to chat up some regular girls and try your luck, go to the waterfront, called Baywalk. This is just a couple blocks from LA cafe, but be careful crossing Roxas. There are plenty of outdoor places to stop to eat or drink. Lots of people there, especially on the weekends. If you turn left and walk (south?) you will eventually come to the dinner cruise ferry and if you look back across Roxas you will see a fountain. Again, lots of people around. If you walk past the fountain and past the church you will end up at Remidios circle. Lots of restaurants, clubs, dance places. Most customers are Filipino, probably middle class or above. I'm sure there are freelancers there, but I was always accompanied when I went there.

If you haven't found what you wanted by 8 or 9pm, go to the gogo places. EDSA in Pasay or Burgos in Makati, both of which have serveral bars and dozens (hundreds?) of women ready and willing. I prefer EDSA. At Burgos, you will find more stunners, more bars and higher prices.

xMan, Cebbo loc, vague, emale,

Thanks for the tips and info. To sum up - Baywalk, Hard Rock, Robinson's for freebies. EDSA, Burgos, LA Cafe for P4P. I'll check out the scene and report back if I find gold.

No one wants a free beer? ;)

I was back in Makati for a night last week, and just for the hell of it, and because I had not been there in about 2 years, went to Burgos St. with a friend. It was every bit the rip off thast I remembered. Bar fines at p3,000, plus extra for the girls. Expensive ladies drinks, aggressive mamasans, and corlorful touts on the sidewalks. I much prefer EDSA. I think (at least last week) the girls are as pretty, the pressure much more subdued, and the prices about 1/3 those of Burgos.

If I only had a couple of nights, and I was new to the area, I'd follow X's advice and hit LA Cafe reasonably early, try the other bars in Ermita and then, if I struck out, would head to EDSA about 11.

First off you are only spending two days there so I don't think the freebie option is viable. That usually happens after you have seen a girl more than a few days if she is a regular girl. Girls looking to make money are not going to give you a freebie the first time out in Manila. Freebies for me have been much more common in Angeles where a girl texts about coming over and swimming in the pool. Also you are in Manila on a Monday and Tuesday night which tend to be quite nights. Many girls in Makati have Monday as their off night. I have seen that many times as I usually fly out on a Tuesday and so I am in Makati on a Monday night.

I can also tell you that the pickings at LA Cafe on a Monday are also slim to ugh! I have never picked up any girl there that came even close to be decent looking on a Monday and I am not prepared to wait till 3:00 am when some girls from EDSA start to show up. I prefer cute girls versus stunners and both of those types are in short supply at LA Cafe.

So what would I do if I stayed in Makati. During the day I would check out Greenbelt for one. I would also stop in some of the internet cafes around Burgos where the girls hang out during the day. If I saw a cafe with some girls in it then I would go in and pick a computer close to some of them. Start playing on the internet and make eye contact with anyone that catches your fancy. During the working day trying to take a taxi out of Makati to Ermita is a time consuming exercise due to traffic.

That night I would definitely hit three bars on Burgos: Wild West, Bandidos and Flamingo all owned by the same guy. No pressure from the girls to buy drinks and a barfine much less than the other places. I have always had great success with girls from these three clubs. Rouges might be another place but that would be about it. A shame since I spent tons of time in Bottoms, Ivory, Ritzy's and the place across from Jools back in 1994-1996. Little pressure and great gfe girls. Oh well, no more.

On another night you could grab a taxi and tell the driver you want to go to EDSA & Harrison. That is the street corner that the EDSA Complex is on. Not every cab driver knows EDSA Complex by name but they all know the intersection. Again walk in, no cameras allowed here, and browse as the crowd will be very very light since it is early in the week. Generally no pressure here in any of the bars. Firehouse used to be my favorite, especially when Don managed it, but now I don't spend as much time here. Always feel like I have a hundred eyes on me and I do when I look behind me. Plus that have a lot of the dreaded Gro's who just bug the hell out of me. I usually hit PitStop and Casino since My Fair has moved out.

Here's my first post to thank everyone for all your info over the years...

I would like to also recommend X's advice. I've been in Makati/Manila for some time over the years, tried just about everything now at least once.

I've had good and bad experiences everywhere from the cheapy sauna to First Class dual at Air Force One, but I enjoy the following the most after a day at work:

5:45 pm:

Grab a cab. Tell him to go to Ambassador Hotel on Mabini St. While in the cab, send some text messages to your other girl friends to see what they are doing tonight. Arrive on Mabini St. (25 minutes/100 pesos from Makati). Change some currency if I must at one of dozens of currency changers (55.90/USD). Walk north on the street and look at the craft stores. Stop at the really old church and say a few prayers. Fight off a few touts selling watches, pearls, and viagra. Allow one tout to sell you a bottle of men's cologne for 300 pesos. (Good with the girls, "How do you like the smell of that?", as she gets close to smell it, and you her) Pass the new Hyatt with the Casino. Find your way to L.A. Cafe one block west from Mabini. (towards the water) Grab something to eat and a bottle of San Miguel. Pick out an attractive girl and her friend and buy some drinks. A little bit of heavy eye contact and they'll approach you. (Last night had a real beauty/sweety that was so good and attentive) Go to the washroom and check your text messages while you get a massage for 100 pesos. Come back finish your dinner. Ask her if she wants to come and stay with you tonight. Don't discuss money. (1500 st/2500 lt)

7:45 pm:

Leave with girl or on your own. Walk to BayWalk and sit down at a cafe overlooking the water. Buy a drink or two and maybe dessert. (Sharing has less calories) Watch some entertainment, singers, and dancers. Talk with lots of guys and girls around and have a great time. Discuss going dancing later that night at one of the discos in Remedios Circle. Buy a long-stem rose for someone special from a 5 year old tout. (10 pesos)

9:00 pm:

(Optional) Go to Hyatt Casino and play a few hands of blackjack and get your girl to put some money (200 pesos) on a spin in roulette. If you win or lose, be sweet, and you win.

9:30 pm:

(Optional) Walk south down BayWalk to the water fountain in front of that old church and consider if your prayers came true. Walk east past the old church, past Mabini, to Remedios Circle and go to a club for some dancing and socializing. Perhaps meet some other friends here or chat up with anyone and everyone. Some of these normal girls are just about perfect and make for long term possibilities (trip to Boracay anyone?)

10:45 pm:

(Optional Option 1) If you haven't met an irresistable Filipina by now, take a cab to Edsa Entertainment Complex. (25 minutes/100 pesos) Do a quick trip into each bar there are several; tell the Mamasan that you are looking for your guy friend and he might be here. If you see some bikini clad girls that catch your eye, stay. Buy a beer (120 pesos) Tell the girls that come and sit next to you that you need help to pick the right girl. (They usually won't be the best ones, the best are on stage) Tip the Mamasan and ask for service recommendation, being careful not to bar fine the Mamasan. Pick the best to sit next to you. Talk to her a little bit and see if she's participative. If you like her, buy her a lady drink. (325 pesos) Get your picture taken with her. (100 pesos) If you continue to like her, bar fine her. (1000 pesos) (+1500st/3000lt)

(Optional Option 2) Go to Havana Cafe at Greenbelt Mall in Makati. Soak in the atmosphere, order a margarita (130 pesos), and establish eye contact with the most attractive girl you see. Dance with her to the latin beats. Discuss plans for the rest of the evening.

11:45 pm:

(Optional) You've either picked a busy night or you are too picky for your stature. Off to P. Burgos Street. I prefer Foxy's over all the others. It is huge inside and comfy. Order a rum and coke for sipping. (150 pesos). Soak in the attention but fight off the groping if you want. Tip those that you accept massage/grope from. (50 pesos) Make it clear that you need help to pick the right girl, and you will buy that girl some lady drinks. Pick a stunner and ask her to sit next to you. Tell the Mamasan that you are really thinking of barfine, so would she deduct any lady's drink you buy now from the barfine? (equivalent of 10 ladies drinks). If the answer is yes, buy your new sweetie a ladies drink. Feel free to do lots of kissing and take her temperature. (Figuratively of course) If you are in love now, barfine her quickly and get home. (3000 pesos including that first lady drink) (+1500st/3000lt)

Another hot Manila night. Enjoy!

Have been to LA Cafe on four trips in the past couple months. Just here now and thought to report from the ground. Always reliable fun at LA Cafe, although I agree with the previous posts that Mon-Tue are relatively sparse. I tend to skew my visits towards the latter part of the week, where the pussy factory is working overtime.

With the increase of Japanese and Korean clientele, the number of girls who are targeting these guys exclusively has increased. These girls used to buzz mainly in back bar area on the second floor, but now there are a bunch of them near the entrance as well as the downstairs back area. The mamasans work hard to pimp these girls and buzz like flies around the JP/KR guys. More power to 'em, but I wish these guys didn't spoil the girls so quickly... one cutie told me she gets P3,000 short time every time, which is still a bargain converted to Japanese yen, but dammed if I am going to pay that.

My preference is for the second floor. It's only P100-200 entrance and often there is a halfways decent band. I like to play a bit of pool at the table in the back and walk around in between games. There are lots of real cuties floating around here, but they tend to be regulars. My conquest for this visit centered around a girl named Myline who sits with friends in the corner opposite the steps. Perfect little body - 4'11", compact, sweet little tits and ass, perfect light skin and a darling smile. We always have a good time flirting at the pool table and she always wants to go back, but has always refused flat my condition to put her on film. My charms finally broke her down on this visit and I got her cute little ass on video in a fuck film extravaganza last night. Plenty of guys have had her, but I was pleased to be the first to get her on DV. I am hoping the investment will pay off in a domino effect as I really want to do her sweet friend Janet, who has the sweetest little ass package but has also refused video. Once one has done it, I hope the others will follow suit!

I have also noticed a pickup of FL action at the nearby Robinson's. I usually pick up dinner there and have noticed the increase in girls who are sitting at coffee shops discreetly waving me over or girls who just plain walk up to me. If I had the temprement and time for this mode of mongering, I am sure there is plenty more action to be had by just strolling around.

Enjoy, AR+

Is Chaos still open? I visited the club almost two years ago and found the place rather pleasant. The girls were decent and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Any news?

Hey,
I'm an experienced traveller, but Manila newbie, coming to MNL on 26/9 and leaving 28/9.
I just spent an hour reading back on all the posts and it's pretty confusing - Makati, Angeles City, EDSA, L.A. Cafe, Ermita, Marbini, Burgos, etc.
Any tips on where to begin for a 1st time visitor with only 2 nights in town? Best for freebies? Best for P4P?If you have only two nights and you want to be sure to score, and have enough cash, I think Burgos is definitely your best bet. You can be in and out of there with a very cute girl in less than an hour if you like. Bottoms is my favourite and I posted a review in the Makati section. Barfine is 3000P indeed but ladydrinks can be deducted, better price for good customers like me, too.
In the better bars in Burgos the girls also get tested very regularly, which is definitely not the case with the girls in LA cafe.

If you are around a little longer, or come near the end of a shift in Bottoms,it is also possible to get a girls mobile number and meet her outside. They are not allowed to do that so you need to be careful.

Times have certainly changed. The ***** houses in china town are filled with over 25 yr olds; Maalikaya is second rate to Sylvanus, Goodlife and Wildernes in Quezon - but Paranaque is where to go now anyway, either Airforce One or Starfleet; And Harrison Plaza truly sucks - Maybe 6 or 7 young but typically fat or ugly *****s. Read some of the recent posts of where to go TODAY.

I was in town in February. Chaos was closed at that time. Looked long term. Too bad, I lked it too.

Iseeu,

I would have to (respectfully) disagree with Fredo24 about P. Burgos for the first timer. The ladydrink hustle can be overwhelming. You have to be almost rude to not be surronded by thirsty girls. I know, that doesn't sound like a bad thing on the surface, but it gets old. It's also more expensive than it should be. The girls are not that much prettier than the girls elsewhere. Might be your cup of tea if you're on an expense account. But I would suggest EDSA for the first timer. Several bars under one roof. Nice to walk around sampling. You will, of course, be hustled for ladysdrink here as well, but not with the same intensity.

IMHO

I think Your post has been well answered already. The only thing I would add to some of the proposed schedules is to add Butterfly bar to your itinerary. It is a 2 minute walk from LA Cafe, right next to Amazonia Bar. It is the only gogo bar in the city of Manila, so you walk to it from LA Cafe instead of taking a cab to EDSA or Burgos. I was there a couple of days ago and had a great barfine from the place, and there were a couple of other cuties that I noticed there as well - and I tend to be rather picky since I live out here. The barfine is the unusual amount of 1,600 Pesos, with a standard 1,500 for the girl short time, negotiable overnight. Also, Visions bar on Roxas, near the corner of Buendia (all cab drivers know that corner), is worth a look if you have some extra time.

I live in Ritz Towers, opposite the Intercon, and I can see into every unit there with one of my telescopes so leave the curtains open and I'll post my opinion of your girl. I could take you around if you want, but you'ld have to stop by with a good story for my girl first (business associate from out of town?). PM me if you want.

Stayed at lotus garden. nice hotel. No problem bringing in girls.

LA cafe is right around the corner about walking distance. Very safe area anytime of day or night. LA cafe is open 24 hours.
Generally in the daytime mostly skanks hang around. In the evening the place picks up. Hit and miss. You may get lucky to find good looking ones. I looked around for 2 hours before I found a solid 8 in my opinion. They charge between 100 to 150 pesos depending on the band to go upstairs. It does not matter if you go upstairs or downstairs , the choice is not much different.
I picked three different girls for long time. They were real sweathearts. Really gave me good service. 2000 pesos for LT. we also had breakfast and two of them I took to dinner.
LA cafe needs some serious repairs. I am sure with the money they are making they can afford to do it. But seriously think of of making a trip to Angeles City. The choice, atmosphere, bars and shows much better. I really had a better time in Angeles City.

Hi everyone,

OK basially just go to LA Cafe. You cant miss!!! Watchout for Mammasan she has some beauties but expensive.

If you are butt ugly with a 1" cock you still would get a root from here.

My mate and I took home 5 girls, $15 US each (no bullshit and paid at the end of the day) all night, the next day. Needless to say I had 3. All 24 yrs or less, damn good looking, sexy, amazing bodies in a king sized bed, couch, stool, shower. I was in heaven.

My other mate had the upstairs (Holiday Inn, Francisco Suite) was busy with Emily and Melanie. Needless to say no complaints.

Guys just watchout though for the extra unexpected return package. Tric, yes an STD, and if you are married like I am. It will cause a real problem back home!

Go for it guys, theres only one life and you are a long time dead.

Thanks fellas, keep up the good work here.Always stay at the Executive Plaza Hotel on Mabini and is only 1 block from Robinson's. Using Asia Travel you can get somewhere around 1700-1800 pesos. If you book through someone like Action Travel then you can get 1500 pesos max. The difference is with or without breakfast. The hotel is more than adequate and quite nice. Most all I know use that one for their short stays in Manila before heading up to Angeles. I'm scheduled for it on the 18th and 19th.

1500 pesos = $27 approx.

Another fun-filled visit to LA Cafe this week. Had four nights to enjoy the action - Tuesday to Friday nights. The pussy factory was running extra shifts - sweet girls seemed to be everywhere and I felt like a kid in a candy store.

Tuesday night was a continuation of my previous visit. Slow night for fresh talent. Wanted to take home a friend of one of the girls I took last time, but she ended up ditching me for some fossil while I was playing pool. Started hitting on two other girls in the group - one of which was a real 19yo cutie. Ended up very late, as it took me 2 hours (and two walkaways) to break them down to do video. (The girls in this group are very difficult to coax into video, but I am determined to collect the entire set.) Finally head back a 3.30am! The girls did tag team - one stayed in the bathroom while I had the other, so it wasn't the 3P fantasy I had envisioned. The first girl Giselle was really passionate, but I just spent a while on her. Tagged for the 19yo cutie Jinnalyn, who had a sweet body and a lovely pink shaved beaver with large pussy lips. Service was below par, like most cuties. Finished with a blast over her pussy. Promised myself I would try the first one again for GFE (see below).

Wednesday bagged a sweet nursing student named Mia. Tight body, shaved pussy and a rock hard ass. Very accommodating and passionate - loved to pose for the camera. I finished with a huge facial. Promised to bring her nurse uniform for the next time we meet up. Fantasy time!

Thursday linked up with a bi-sexual girl that I had taken before. She was with two friends, one of which I had also taken before. So I suggested to my bi-sex girl that we take the new girl home for some fun, but only if they would play together. We had a great time - her friend had a perfect body - but the friend was a bit shy to accept the lez action. She pleaded that she was ticklish when the bi-girl started to lick her pussy, but had no problem when I did it. Needs more training and development. The bi-girl was very keen to play camerawoman, so I am looking forward to processing the video.

Friday was the mother lode. Wanted a quick pickup as I was tired and catching an early flight the next morning. Went for the GFE girl from Tueday night and was totally satisfied. Without her friend around, she was totally uninhibited. Passionate kissing. Unusual blow job... she would go down on me until she gagged, recover herself and go for more like she was desperate for cock. Suck. Gag. Repeat. Her pussy was tight and wet and she loved doggy style. The best part of the night was taking her anal virginity. After testing her ass with my finger and finding no resistance, I lubed up and poked my cockhead into her butthole. Oh so tight as she moaned "saket saket saket." It hurts. Ended up giving her a memorable ass pounding from four positions - very high performance. Finished with a monster facial. I couldn't have been happier!

Thank God for LA Cafe. Now recovering in sexual intensive care for the weekend. Enjoy, AR+

Foxys has closed again. Too bad, as it was one of the only really large bars in the area. Being a 30 second walk from Burgoss was too far for most mongers to walk I guess.

The new Bellagio hotel on Burgoss (next to Mirrors bar) has the nicest short time rooms in the area. Expensive at 1,500 pesos, but it beats having to get an overnight room for 2,000 plus when you want a nice room, and the 1,200 filling station is almost always full. The rooms are all themed. I recommend the Chinese room. Small, but very nice.

Also, I found the quality of LA Cafe to have picked up as of late. I was surprised that I found several girls that I considered attractive in my couple of recent visits. The girl I had yesterday from there had maybe one of best bodies I have ever had - absolutely flawless. And her pussy was so tight that it took a lot of effort to get it in, even though she was quite wet. I could barely squeeze my finger in.

Like your style man. Reading your post makes me miss the PI. The PI Threeway is all too common: one Must EXPLICITLY clarify that all three of you will get busy with each other AT SAME TIME (or expect one to wait in the CR (bathroom) while you do the other one). SO typical.

Re best value for poontang anywhere, IMHO it has to be Cambodia where $5 ST and $20LT is still standard. Never been to India, and from ALL I have heard I haven't missed a thing (mongering wise).

Having been to Indian, Mumbai, New Delhi & Agra, India is not exactly comparable with Bangkok and the Philippines. Don’t get me wrong here Indian girls do have nice bodies, but in terms the club scene and being able to see what is on offer before you partake doesn’t really exist.

I don’t know about you but I like the go go type bars, but I have always found if you treat the Philippino girls like a human being, nine times out of ten they will came back and hang out with you the following day. Now where else do you get that?

Guys,

Guys, go to Sucat Road, this is only a few kilometers away from the International Airport. Ask your cab driver to take you to StarFleet (Have you experienced a Wet Thai Massage!? I won't tell you the details so as not to spoil your fun, hehe). Damage Php4,000 or $71. You'll get a Presidential room for 1.5 hour use (Php2,000) + FS (Php 1,000) + Wet Thai Massage (Php 1,000) or $71 all in all. You get to select the ladies from the "aquarium" or show room if you may call it. If you are not satisfied with the selection, just across the street is AirForce One, this one also has Presidential Suite around Php 3,500 (for 2 hours), FS is room rate. Total damage Php7,000 or $125. Same, it has a showroom, where you can select the ladies. The both places are safe, rooms in AF1 are grand. In between the 2 joint is McDonalds (This is your landmark, btw). There are more massage areas in Quezon City area but are quite far if you are in Makati or Malate area. If you happen to drop by in Manila or Makati, PM me. I travel most of the time due to work, but I'll try to assist you if I get the chance to browse the net.

Can someone please recommend a hotel similar to Majestic or Davis in BKK , that is in a good location in Manila and close to action (even 5 min by cab) and has a good price 50 to 60 USD, there seems to be a tone of hotels on the net and cant figure them out.

Can anyone tells me if the Harrizon Plaza still the place for picking up freelancers? what will be the damage for ST / LT.

I'm told it has been ever since it was built about 20 years ago, and likely always will be as long as it's on the boundary between Pasay and Malate.

However, what you find there are the girls that either haven't figured out how to get a guy yet on their own, or the girls who guys wouldn't otherwise go with. You can easily find the better ones on your own. You don't need to pay some pimp for them, and the ones you wouldn't want, well, you don't want those anyway!

Magkano?? Depending on how stupid they think you are, pimps will quote you P1000, P1500, P2000, or even more. On top of that, don't be surprised if the girl hints you might give her a tip, since what you give the pimp mostly stays with the pimp.

If you really want a HP pickup, then avoid the pimps. Sooner or later someone cute enough will approach you. Make your arrangements directly. Proper price is maybe P500, though I suppose you could be extravagent and give her 1000, and if you get along, then offer her breakfast and buy her some cheap clothes the next day - if you don't mind her hanging out with you the next night too.

Short-time? Long-time? Let that sort itself out as you get to know her, unless you really want a crude pump-n-dump. In that case, P300-500 plus a room.

Speaking of room, and if you've not read enough to know this by now, you DO NOT go to "HER" place! Hey, that's Pasay there! Don't do it. Hop on a jeep and go to one of the hotels south of there on Harrison, or go the other way and find Sogo or whatever the place is by DelPilar&Remedios that escapes my memory but starts with an "A". "Anito", that's it! Been there a few times, nice place, a bit more expensive (depending on room and time between 400 - 900P) - try for the jaccuzi room at the higher end if you have a bit of money to splurge - it's a "garage room" (meaning it includes your car when your drive in vrs taxi or walkin). Or, you can get a room further into Malate/Ermita for more money, or you can go further in the other direction into Baclaran. Baclaran is another place you should be xtra careful in. Just be careful and *YOU* choose the place and make sure she doesn't have any nasty people behind her. Do I trust street people at HP??? No! (Don't be too trusting on the street anywhere around there either, especially later at night. You might get lucky. Or you might get injured or worse.)

Though I've never done the HP-pickup thing, if I wanted to then that's how I'd do it. Works everywhere else!

First I would like to thank everybody for such a wonderful site. Thank very much for all the information I have gather so far.

Also I would like to add I am not sure whether I should be posting in the AC board or here so I posted on both.

Now for the question, I will be landing in MNL on Saturday at 10:00 am thus I can make it to “fly the bus” (3:00 run) to AC the same day and save a little cash instead of taking a cab but I was thinking should I try Manila first to just get my feet wet? Maybe try LA Café?

What to you experts think should I stay one or two night in Manila first to get my feet wet or just head out to AC?

Should I save a little bit of money and take the “fly the bus” or should I take a cab?

Thanks again for all your help

First I would recommend taking a victory bus instead of Fly-the-bus. Victory charges about 100 Pesos, instead of the 300 Pesos for Fly-the-bus, and they leave every 30 minutes instead of at certain times (and the fly-the-buses have a havit of leaving early). Just ask any taxi to take you to the Victory bus terminal in Passay, they all know it. Also, the fly-the-busses are getting quite old and the TV's didn't work the last time I used them.

I would absolutely recommend checking out Manila first. I find the Manila girls to be much more attractrive then the AC girls. If you like your girls slim and beautiful (in the eye of the beholder, of course), you may find AC quite lacking, unless you want to spend 50,000 on a cherry girl. I live in Manila and am very picky, and the AC girls for me just don't make the cut. But if you don't check out both, how will you ever know!!! You should check out EDSA complex in Manila, LA Cafe, and Burgos street. Not that I particularly recommend Burgos street, but the girls there are different and as a first timer you should check it out. If you do check out Burgoss, A good selection would be Flamingo, Wild West, Blush, Montana, Bandido, High Heels. Avoid walking into just any bar there as some hire really ugly girls, some just rip you off, and others have beautiful girls that want you to buy them drinks, but wont go with you.

I would agree with L.A.W. with a couple additions.

How much time do you have ? Will 1 or 2 nights in MNL costs you too much time ? If not, definately check out Manila. I, too, am not fond of P. Burgous but love EDSA and checking out the street life in L.A. Cafe.

Victory Liner vs "Fly the Bus"

If you're staying in Ermita F.T.B. is very convenient, with 3 trips a day. It is also easier if you have a lot of luggage. In addition they drop you at your hotel, where as Victory will be going to downtown AC or Dau, so you'll need to trike to your hotel. Yes, the FTB buses are getting a little worn, but they're often not filled up either. They serve drinks and snacks and you will get a drink/food/[CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) stop en route. Most of the passengers will be fellow travelers on FTB. Victory liner does have many more buses going and is much cheaper. I think I paid 70 p last time and FTB has raised it's price to 350.

So, IMHO, consider the Victory Liner if you decide to go straight from the airport to AC and FTB if you stay in town a couple nights. A taxi from the airport might also be a viable choice, if you find a fellow traveler to share the ride. It has been a while since I've done this, but it was 1500 p for the taxi ride from NAIA to AC.

So, as they say in the RP, "Up to you".

If so - go to AC ASAP.
If not - stay in Manila and enjoy the possibilities.
I have not been in AC, but enjoyed Manila a lot. I do read the threads, and I understand that AC is low life compared to Manila.
When Firedick states that he prefer EDSA and LA Cafe to AC (and he is one of the guys with experience!), I would say - WHY SAVE A FEW DOLLARS when you can have the variety that you will find in Metro-Manila compared to AC.
Look at the details; a barfine in EDSA is php 1000 - then you pay php 1500 for all night with the girl! In AC you pay abt php 1500 for both, a difference of abt USD 10.
This is when we are talking about WG's. At daytime - you can go to the malls, or other places, hunting down ladies for ST or LT play/stay in your hotel and have fun. Why eat dust in AC when you can have fun in Manila?

I notice that only a few of our members have been to the "new" Entertainment Complex close to the old domestic terminal (mentionied back in feb/march 2005). They have A LOT OF LADIES, but only a few customers yet, so any guy visiting will have more than a hundred ladies to choose from.

Why go to AC when you have it all in Manila?

This just my humble opinion from being a frequent reader of all the RP-threads for several years (and a re-re-repeating visitor to the capitol for about 10 years, enjoying every minute of it. Except for when working :) ).

First I would like to thank everybody for all there great advice and to clarify. Money is not the issue I am just trying to get the biggest bang for the bucks sort of speak. As I read the forum I would say that is true for most of us. Why spend the money if you do not have too?

The way I figure it is if I stay in Manila the hotel will cost me 1500 (executive plaza) fly the bus will cost me 500. If I took a cab straight to AC it would cost me 2200. Thus it would save me money to stay in Manila for one night. The only real expense is I might pay more is the bar fine. The other thing I am considering is I land on a Saturday at 10:00 am and from what I gather from the forum most of the most beautiful women come out on weekend only. I do not mind paying a little more for better quality.

On the other hand if I took the fly by bus straight out to MNL I would pay 500 plus taxi approx 250 total of 750. and can get start from there. Arriving at 10 am gives me a lot of options and I guess that is why I need some advice too many options to choice from.

I can afford a couple of days in Manila but I figure one day in Manila to get my feet wet. Next day to AC and from there I can make my decision. Is the women from Manila worth the extra pesos? But if I started off in AC I would not know if I should cut some time off of AC and head back to Manila or visa versa. What do you guy think?

From the research I have done it seems like the best place for the money is Hotel Royal Amsterdam this seems to give the best value for the dollar from what I have been reading on the board.

Also I would just like to thank everybody again for all your great advise hopefully I can repay this debt.

Thank you very much

QUOTE]

Very well said Marconista!!!

I think this concept of "just go to Angeles City as there is where all the girls are" is just plain wrong. Sure, 10 years ago it was true, but today??? I remember my first trip to the Philippines. I just went straight to AC and it was filled with beautiful girls. But that was then. Today, all the cute girls have figured out they can make much more in Manila, and the ones left behind are fat, ugly, or cherry girls trying to sucker a rich Korean/Chinese/Japenese out of 50,000 Pesos.

Are the girls in AC "nicer" then the Manila girls? In general, yes, but there is an inverse relationship between nice girls and cute girls. The more attractive the girl, the more of a *****, and the uglier she is, the nicer she is. Obviously, lots of exceptions to this rule, but in general it is true both in Manila and AC. Just walk into Flamingo bar on burgos and you will find lots of model quality girls who are stuck up bitches. Walk across the street to Mogambo, and it will be filled with some of the sweetest, ugliest girls you have ever met.

And keep in mind Saturday is a little special. AC is a bar town and most of the girls work the bars day in and day out. The Manila bars tend to have a more relaxed policy, especially with attractive girls, that lets them come to work only sometimes. There are many, many girls who only work the weekends in Manila. Saturday night is the best night and should not be missed. Just walk into the Firehouse at about 11:00 PM and WHOA!!!

LoveAsianWhores

I forget to mention the short time (3 hours) long time (overnight) thing. Angeles girls tend to stay overnight and Manila girls prefer short time. This has a lot to do with the fact that many Manila girls tend to live with their families, cover up their jobs, and need to get back in the early AM. This is espicially true with the weekend girls who tell their parents they are going out for the night with their friends. In AC, the girls tend to live in dorms, or with their sister/cousin/friend and everyone knows what they do. If having the girl stay overnight is important, AC might be worth a look. Also, if you like to do 3 or 4 different girls in one night, then that can get quite expensive in Manila, but is quite affordable in AC.

I spent 4 nights in Manila over the past 2 weeks and went to LA Cafe all 4 nights since it was only 1.5 blocks from my hotel (The Ermita Tourist Inn has semi-modern tiled rooms with warm water and air-con for only 660 pesos per night and is monger friendly).

I prefered downstairs in the LA Cafe as it was less crowded and had better air circulation. It you are not into getting pawed by all the ultra aggressive working girls, decline the table the hostess offers (say you are looking for your friend) and head to a table in back by the pool tables. Girls will still come up to you but will not be as aggressive as the ones in front. Then if you do not see something of interest, every 15 minutes or so you can make a round of the front section until you find a promising prospect and can bring her back to your table to chat.

If you are sitting alone girls will come up to you but if you are not interested and you say you are looking for other ladies they will still try to sit with you and try to "find" you a lady expecting a 200-300 tip, so speak up and tell them you can find your own (if you cannot find one at LA Cafe you have the wrong hobby) and tell them you would rather not unless you just want someone to talk to (you will have to buy drinks to sit with them, but you can order a pitcher of beer for 189p and share it with her rather than buy lady drinks at 150p+). Be careful not to order a 350p barrel as those things are huge and will require a long stay to drink one with only 2 people. If you play pool get your name on the board and you will be charged 25p per game.

I tended to go to LA Cafe around 9PM each night, but it is open 24/7 so I guess there must be girls there at all times of day or day and night (some claim to be there looking for a client for 16 hours or more), but surely not the same selection.

I thought there was a reasonable selection of girls there at night, mostly 6s and 7s in looks but with a few 8s thrown in (there are some 9s upstairs), more 8s on the weekend. The advantage of downstairs is there is no bar fine (at least with the 4 girls I took out). There were a few mamas around sometimes, but there are also plenty of freelance girls there without, so choose and/or negotiate accordingly. Negotiate everything up front (price, number of rounds, acts, pictures, departure time, etc.). I had no problem getting Long Time from each of the 4 for 1800-2000 p all inclusive (3 rounds, pics, etc. until 9AM or so), although I am sure those who are local can get lower.

Happy Mongering

Marco,

You mis-quoted me. I never said I prefer EDSA and LA Cafe to AC. I did say I love em, but actually prefer AC to everything in Manila.

If I was on a short schedule, I'd be outta MNL as fast as possible.

AC isn't that dusty anymore.

As you can see, it's a matter of taste. Best to draw your own conclusions.

Hi guy,

First I would like to thank FD, LAW, Marconista, columpuss, and xman for all your great advice.

Sorry for all the questions but I have one more does anyone know of a place I can store a suitcase in Manila or MNL? I will be doing some island hopping and just need a place to store my suitcase so I can just island hop with a backpack. And yes I need to bring both the suitcase will be 1/2 full while I am island hopping but nothing valuable.

If I stay in a hotel in Manila will they store it for me until I get back I plan on island hopping for about 10 days.

Thanks again you guy you’re the best.

Strangely there is no baggage storage at Manila airport, but many “decent” hotels can store your bags for some island hopping. I know Swagman hotel can but to be honest it’s not a very good hotel generally. If you trade up to a four or five star hotel this would be possible, some three star hotels could, but you might require a room booking.

I stored my 3 bags there when I flew in from the US last year. Although they will tell you its for airline crew, dont believe them. Before you exit from the international terminal go immediately to the right and there is a little doorway that you will see and you can go in there and leave your bag(s) for a fee. You can also ask any of the security folks there and they should tell where its located. I think if I'm not mistaken, I paid P450 for leaving my bags. Not sure if that's for the day or per hour(s). But you can leave your bags there. You just have to inquire!

Trim-

Thanks Trim, earlier this year I wanted to deposit some baggage my airline and the information desk were not helpful. They made some excuse that it was due to enhanced security reasons, for no baggage storage. This is strange because NAIA seems to be the only airport in Asia that has no baggage storage. I had to cart my bags with me to AF1. :)

Gonna have my first Philippine mongering experience next month. (hopefully) I have been there a couple times, but never alone, so I haven't been able to sample the goods.I appreciate all the input you guys give here.

I have a question. anybody know how easy it is to change departing flights from Manila?

I would have to change my flight the day of to make it happen. Is this easy? Expensive?

Any input would be appreciated.

I am not sure if this question is appropriate here since it could be answered easily elsewhere or by a telephone call to your airline.

But the jest of question would be difficult to answer anyway because one, we don’t know which airlines you are travelling with and two, at what class, economy, business or first?

Basically if you buy a business or first class ticket, depending on how regularly the airline departs Manila, no problem on changing the ticket.

This is a question you should be asking when you actually purchase the ticket.

Hi Hobby,

I have changed my ticket leaving Manila many times. I have done this while traveling on Philippines Airlines when flying to Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific when flying to Hong Kong and Northwest Airlines leaving to Japan and onward to the USA.

In all cases I just called the airline and went to the airport the day of my new flight schedule and had my new ticket printed. Getting into the terminal will be a little different as they will notice that your travel date on the ticket is not the same day you are traveling. They will either let you in with no problem or put your information in a book they keep at the door entrance. They will record your passport information the flight information of your ticket and then your new flight information from what I remember. If flying Philippines Airlines go to their offices just to the right of the entrance gates to get your new ticket. Be nice and they may upgrade you to business class as they have for me on a few occasions.

If flying NWA always go online to see what flight are available and check the connections as well. I was almost put on a flight to japan from Manila Biz class and then from Japan to Detroit on economy, even though I had an upgrade to biz class. So be sure to know flight numbers of the fights you are changing to and that they have those and not just something the computer spits out to them.

Your hotel can give you all the airline phone numbers.

Good luck.

I am gonna be in Manilla in december and want to know if the way to travel outside the city is safest via taxi. My girl tells me she would not trust a bus but a cab is sometimes just as bad. Is there any car companies that are trustworthy?? Can I trust the hotel to arrange safe secure travel in or outside Manila?? This may sound like a broken record but I have read many post about this subject and was looking for recent input on the subject.

What is the weather in december also, will I need a light weight coat or just a regular shirt gonna do the trick.

What things should I bring for personal items like for heat rash, flue, allergy, ect??

Thanks fellas, allways great to have your help.

I know there has been a lot of discussion generated in this thread about the merits and drawbacks to the LA Cafe, but I'd like to toss my two cents worth into the ring. I just returned home from the Phils and went to the LA Cafe for the first time. Unfortunately I went on a Sunday afternoon, which is probably about the worst time you can go there. There certainly weren't many women in there, but even at that slow time the female-male ratio was about 5-1.

I stayed at the Hyatt Hotel, which is located about a block away from the LA Cafe in the Malate area of Manila. I must admit the area is certainly quite seedy and at first glance is not the kind of neighborhood you would want to be in after dark. But I encountered no problems with walking to and from the cafe at night, nor in walking to and from the Robinsons Mall which is located two blocks to the east. I kept my wits about me at all times and spent part of the time walking in the street, but I had no problems at all. But I'd certainly recommend exercising caution at all times because there's a lot of mangey characters hanging around. I constantly got hit up by men offering me fake Rolexes and silver coins, as well as Viagara and offers to
exchange my money at favorable rates.

As I was walking down the main street in the area (the name escapes me) a young girl comes up to me and says, "I want to go with you". I said back to her, "no, you can't because you are too young". And she says, "I know but I want to go with you anyway". I ask her age and she says she's 17. A really cute girl, but she wasn't for me.

Anyway, I walked from the Hyatt to the LA Cafe at about 4 pm on Sunday afternoon. As to be expected, there weren't many women there. The upper level was closed and the lower level had plenty of empty tables. I'd guess there were about 15 women in there, and about 3 men. Gotta love the odds, ha ha. But the quality left a lot to be desired, there weren't very many good looking women there at all. Some were haggared, some were just plain ugly. But I sat down at the bar and ordered a San Miguel, and as soon as I did a woman came up to me with another woman in tow and said, "hi, I would like to introduce you to **** (name escapes me), she's a good girl". I then asked the obvious question, "what does 'good girl' mean"? And she smiled and said, "she will be a good girl to you". After chatting with her a while I got the impression that she was a tout trying to set men up with women from the provinces who didn't speak much English. But I really wasn't interested in the girl she brought over and told her I was just going to drink and check out the place.

I certainly attracted a lot of stares from women in the bar and got lots of smiles as I visually scanned the place. Just what my ego was looking for, ha ha. Well, I got up and walked around and stopped and talked to a couple of ladies. Then at a corner table I saw two women and spotted who I considered to be the prettiest woman in the joint. Her name is Marites (Mary Tess), a 22 year old cutie from the Baguio area. Her English was passable but certainly not polished. Hair to the middle of her back, and was dressed in a cute red and white top, white denim capri pants, and some 2 inch cute high heels.

She says there are many days that she has no business, and has averaged about 2 to 3 customers a week. She used to have a sales clerk job at the Robinsons Mall but only earned about $60 a month for 10 hours of work, 6 days a week. Apparently she sends a lot of her money to her mom, and also helps out her sister and brother in law as well. I'm a pretty good judge of character and I didn't detect any BS from her at all. I feel she was as genuine as the day is long. 20 minutes of conversation had me convinced I wanted her. I asked her the price and she said 1500 pesos. Previous posts have indicated that's an average price, so I accepted and we walked out the door and headed to the hotel. As we exited the Cafe she immediately took my hand and we walked hand in hand to the hotel. We looked so cute, a 45 year old white man with gray hair and a cute 22 year old darkskinned beauty walking like lovers. God I love this country.

We encountered no hassle from the hotel security. She had to have her purse checked and was forced to walk through a metal detector, but other than that it was easy to bring her on in. When asked she said she had been working at the cafe for about 3 weeks and this was her first time to a hotel as nice as the Hyatt. As we entered the room she began to "ooh and ahh" about how nice it is. I must admit the Hyatt is sure a nice hotel and the room is top notch but a bit pricey at $90 a night. Of course she went in to take a shower, and I took one after she finished. As I left the shower and headed into the room, I saw her laying on the bed, wrapped in the white hotel robe. I walked over to the bed and crawled on in and we layed there and chatted a bit while she cuddled in next to me.

She kept commenting over and over about my white skin and my nose. I told her that she was very cute and she said "no, I am not cute at all". I asked her why and she said it is because of her dark skin and flat nose. When I told her that most western men really like women who have her looks, she didn't want to believe it. But once I reassured her I was correct, she really got all lovey dovey and started kissing me. We proceeded to spend a lot of time french kissing and of course getting down to business. She was patient and certainly wanted me to be satisfied. I didn't want to cum right away so I would pull it out periodically and then insert it back in again. I probably spent about 30 minutes rock hard inside of her before I eventually would cum, and she appeared to enjoy every minute. It was the ultimate girlfriend experience, which was exactly what I was searching for.

After we were done she immediately got up and took a shower, then came back to bed. We chatted a bit, then got dressed and I told her I'd walk her back to the cafe. Once we got there she pulled me on in and we made one pass around the place. I was prepared to let her go back to work, but she asked what I had planned now. I said I was going to go to the mall and walk
around and get something to eat. She said "wow", and I could tell she thought that sounded like fun. I asked her if she wanted to go and she immediately smiled and said yes. So we walked hand and hand again to the mall, and at the intersections she would put her arms around my waist and smile and kiss me. We proceeded to eat dinner, and while sitting next to her she brought out her cell phone and started taking photos of me. She then took a couple of us sitting together, which turned out pretty good. That gave me the idea about taking some nude shots of her back at the room. She said it would be ok as long as I didn't post them on the internet. So I have a visual archive of our time together, and if I knew how to blur faces I'd post a couple here.

After dinner I asked if she would like to see a movie. She squeezed my hand and smiled widely, and said yes. So we went to see some forgetable movie, but while in the theatre she acted totally like a girlfriend. SHe held my hand and would put her head on my shoulder as I put my arm around her. Occasionally I would take her hand and put it on my cock, and she abligingly would rub it for me. Good girl :-)

I kept expecting her to say, "I need to get going, thank you for the nice time", but she never did. She willingly went back to my hotel room and we had another round of boom boom, then went to sleep. We got up at about 7 am and went at it again, and I was totally spent. She had to go meet her sister at 10 am so she left shortly before that time. I gave her the 1500 pesos and she never asked for any more money.

I had an appointment for later that day, so I told her I'd call her at about 6 pm, which I did. We then had dinner, went to the hotel casino, and went back to the room for another couple of rounds of boom boom. That night she looked at me and said, "I like you very very much. You are the nicest man I have ever been with". I do believe her emotion was genuine, and she truly enjoyed being with me. Mongering in the Philippines is such a paradox. The lines between P4P and girl friend are certainly blurred. I know she was a prostitute, but she was probably the sweetest woman I have ever been with. I'm convinced she was doing this work to help earn money for her mom and her sister, and because traditional job opportunities pay so little money. I convinced myself that the lifestyle hadn't corrupted her yet, and hadn't turned her into looking at men as simply opportunities to extract money.

But all good things eventually come to an end. I boarded my plane home on Wednesday morning, and another chapter of my life is over. As I sit here, I am counting the months until my next trip there. In 12 days I slept with 5 P4P women and all experiences were awesome in their own way. Filipinas are sure a different breed compared to Western gals.

I will be in Manila next month staying near the airport. Can someone give me information on the Entertainment Complex that has a number of bars. Names? Cost? Availability of private rooms? Etc.

Thank you.

Great post, I think that you summed up very well the essence of what is so attractive about the Filipina experience. I too am a relative newbie to the scene and like you I’ve had some incredibly positive experiences on my first trip to the Phils last year. You hit the nail on the head about the paradox of the blurred lines between P4P and girlfriend. I think it’s those blurred lines that keep so many of us coming back for more!

Cheers,

Billpsu. I was there a couple weeks ago and you will find about 8 bars surrounding a coutyard type arrangement. The complex is directly accross from the Cebu Pacific building. Bar fines are 1, 000 pesos, (the girl gets none) and expect to pay 1, 000 pesos (ST) and 2, 000 pesos (LT). The girls tend to be young (18 yrs old) and somewhat inexperienced although I have had a couple of great experiences with my barfines. Also, you should expect to be the only customer in the bar but there will be no ladies drink pressure.

Okay, Keen Eye Joe,

Fess up and tell us how much you gave her in the end. Surely she ended up with more than 1500.

Glad to hear you had a good time.

I have seen many posts on this board and you have written one of the best in mho. I am glad to see you had a great trip and would welcome any add on"s via back channel you might have for me on my up cumming trip over in December.

I have met lots of gals via pc, and some are what I might call talking from a script and others are very nice and want to make you feel like you lived next door to them all your life. I am counting the days until I will be over in Manila looking for a real gfe also.

What are the best clubs along the blvd w/ barfines.

The only one I could recommend, and recommend quite strongly actually, is Visions. Barfine is only 1,000 Pesos, cute girls, and very nice mamasans. Second would be that bar next to Traders hotel (Inxs, or something like that). Barfine is 3,400 Pesos, but still less then a lot of the other places on Roxas. Avoid ALL of the other places on Roxas unless you are prepared to really spend some mony. Take East Asia club, for example. About 1,500 Pesos just to walk in and buy yourself and a lady a drink. If you want to take a lady out, it is a two drink minimum and 9,000 barfine.

She took a piece of your heart, didn't she? Can't stop thinking about her?

Before Internet, you could actually cool down and realize that the fantasy....was a fantasy.

Lot harder now when you get home from your trip and you have love letters waiting for you in you in box.

C'mon KEJ, I'm not asking for her phone number. How much did you donate in the very end? From your story, we know it was worth it.

Hello all, I'll be heading to PI for my first time come mid-Nov.. A few questions:

1. A suggestion for which part of Manilla to stay in? And any particular hotel (that is girl-friendly, of course)?

2. Same question for Cebu - where to stay and any hotel recommendations?

3. When I head out to a place like Boracay, are there bar girls there just like in Manilla? Or should I try to find one in Manilla that I can take along with me?

4. Is Angeles really worth the trip? Besides the mongering, doesn't seem like much else to do. Is it is something that one just has to see at least once?

Any help is much appreciated, thanks guys!

Just a few suggestions from me. Depending on your length of stay I would stay in Makati for a couple of days so you can checkout Burgos street because if you have never been there it will be a great experience for you. I would read the posts on here so you can get a feel for what it is like. The one piece of advice I will share with you and you will also find in reading the posts is the girls are pushy for drinks and it is expensive compared to other areas. Just make sure you keep an eye on the number of ladies drinks you will be buying as they can add up in a hurry. Also keep an eye on your tab as Bottoms especially is known to add drinks you never ordered to it. One thing I can assure you and that is you will have a great time and experience. Instead of paying the bar fines try to arrange to have the girls meet you when they get off of work or set up a date for the next day. This will save you a lot of money from paying the bar fines. I would then spend a few days mongering over in area's around Manila. You have to checkout the Edsa Complex and all your taxi drivers will know what you are talking about when you tell them you want to go to the Edsa Complex in pasay. Another must for you is the LA Cafe. You will learn about all these places by taking the time to read the previous posts. The taxi fares to these places is very minimal but get a price upfront and better yet have your hotel get a taxi for you. After getting your fill of Burgos and the Manila area I would head to Angeles City and experience another fantasy, as that is what it will be for you since you have never been there. It is very inexpensive and you will have the time of your life. If you go I would highly recommend staying at the Orchid Hotel as it is one of the best hotels offered there and the location is great. The cost is about $35.00 dollars a night and make sure you ask for a room in on the jasmine wing as it is much quieter. As far as Boracay goes, it is a very beautiful area but it is somewhere you will want to go to relax as there is nothing else to do there and that includes mongering, so take a girl from Makati or Manila with you.

The hotel you stay at is all about what you want to spend and the amenities that are important to you. A nice hotel that is inexpensive is the Citadel as it is about $35.00 dollars a night and sits right on Burgos street which is where you want to be but it is not filled with the amenities. Another nice hotel for the money and it is also on Burgos is the Best Western Astor Hotel which is a 4 star hotel and goes for $40.00 a night. To book your hotel I would go online to do it as if you wait and book it when you get to the P.I you will be paying out of your mind for a room. I have used these websites to book my rooms. Asiatravel.com., Asiahotel.com, Directhotel.com to name a few. One of the nicest hotels you can stay at in Makati is the Renaisannce and it is generally a $90+ dollar a night hotel. I just checked on asiahotel.com the other day and they had it for $65.00 dollars a night. That is the site I also found the prices for the other hotels I listed above. You will never find a better bargain than that price for a hotel. All the prices I quoted you were with tax included. The other thing when shopping these websites for a hotel make sure you check them all out because there are big descrepancies in the prices of the same hotel room from site to site.

This is what I have to share with you at this time. I hope it provides you with some of the information you are searching for, but all the information is available in the prior posts so please take some time and do some reading, as it will better prepare you for hopefully a vacation of a lifetime since you have yet to experience the LBFM!

I previously warned about the Renaissance/New World Makati. No doubt a nice hotel and inexpensively priced, but it is the most monger-hostile hotel that I have experienced in Asia. With very few exceptions, you will be required to register any guests and provide a valid ID. This policy is clearly posted at the front desk. Colleagues of mine have been dragged out of elevators to register their companions. To boot, the front desk staff will treat the girls like criminal hoes - this is not the hassle that any monger who can afford a 4-5 star hotel needs. Be advised to give this hotel a pass. AR+

Hi AR,

I am not doubting your experience at the New World Renaissance, but I have stayed there along with fellow travelers approximately 6 different times. The last time was June 2004. I have never had a problem there and was only asked once to have my guest check at the front desk, to which I declined the request, and was never bothered again. Not sure why my experience was so different to yours.

FFI can echo FF's experience at the New World. I was asked to register my companion to which I politely declined and kept on marching to my room. No hassles.

The girls, when leaving ask for a note saying she was here with my permission so they can get through the lobby without me going down with them.

As previously posted in the Makati thread, the NWR has updated its guest policy to its current severe conditions in 2005, apparently as a result of one of their guests getting ripped off by a working girl. I am aware that the previous policy was more "optional." The current policy is mandatory and non-negotiable, even the manager told me NO. They will not prevent girls from going in, but they will require ID and sign-in before they can go up to your room. All should stand warned of this hotel. If there are any doubts, just call the hotel and confirm their policy when making a reservation. Cheers, AR+

Hi AR,

Thanks for the update. I missed that post. That certainly upsets me as I am a Marriott Platinum member and always was upgraded to the club level where I had access to the free breakfast, free small meals throughout the day and free drinks in the late afternoon. It is not worth the upgrade if they are going to hassle you. Thanks for the update. I think I'll return to the Shangri La next time.

angeles is a very dirty city is just for monging only there is not much to
do during the day time expect sleeping , you should stay in manila for a
few days stay at malate area close to la cafe and robinson mall and few
15 min taxi away from makiti and the edsa area and the airport.

i also like cebu city alot many thing to do , scuba diving , shopping mall and
the beach in matican area , this is a big city with alot of massage and club
actions at night and the quality of the girl and value is better than manila
in my option.

boracay is very expensive is get to and girl is also very expensive and the
action is very poor , is a good place to bring a girl friend for a vacation and
for scuba diving and swimming it have some of the best beach in asia but
not as good as phi phi island or koh samui of thailand my favorite place , pm
me if you have any more questions.

Be careful!!

A friend of mine has recently been robbed by a girl from LA Cafe. Unfortunately for him, the hotel did not do ID card checks. His lady seemed allright and obviously wore the signs of childbearing.

Just before leaving, he was about to hand over the agreed amount. Then the girl innocently stated that in fact she had been a minor of 17 1/2 years and demanded an outrageous amount, threatening to call the coppers.

He was totally shocked and knowing no better option immediately paid up. So, buyer beware at LA Cafe.

Totally empty of pesos he went to change some money on Mabini Street. Then he was cheated by the money changer. Being separated by the thick bars, there was little he could do. Must have been his unlucky day.

Because of the extorted money he had to cut his holiday short.
Hard to believe but better be more careful of these "lovely", smiling people.

So, where were you while your newbie friend was being fucked up the ass ?
If this is a real story you should have warned him of such rookie, first timer, pratfalls. No ? Maybe you are BSing us then.

OK, let's assume for a moment that the story you posted is true.

Newbies: If such a situation occurs, play hardball. The girl says, "I'm calling the police" you say: "good, I was going to get them up here too". If she say's "I'm too young" you simply counter with "that's not what you said ten minutes ago". The cops in the RP are not all dishonest. All, or certainly most, have seen their fair share of the honest, naive, tourist taken advantage of by locals using the fear of the unknown to their advanatage. A position of being right and not being afraid of standing up for it, goes a long way in the Filipino way of thinking. Don't be a victim. Humble Turd is speading fearful crap that is unfair to the way most of the Philippines is.

Don't do stuff that is obviously unlawful. No drugs, no too young girls, and you'll be fine. Talk to cops as equals, stand your ground, respectfully.

Humble Turd suggests being careful. Always good advice. I'm just not sure he knows what it means.

that's the story of the unluckiest mongering day in the history of the pi.

i am surprised that a guy would be feeble-minded enough to get taken in by an **** scam by a girl with obvious signs of child birth. whatever her looks, she would need an id to get into la cafe - where the carding is rather rigorous (but not perfect). had such an unlikely situation happened to me, i would have just called down to the front desk and asked the hotel to send someone up.

for the money changers, you need to ask the rate in advance. any money changer will give you cash with a calculation reciept. if a mistake has been made, you need to tell them at the counter. be especially careful if they give you a bunch of small bills. it's best to assume that a mistake might be made. count your money at the cage.

a good friend like humble turd should have been a cell phone call away from his troubled mate. shame on you for not being there to tell him what to do in such a situation. anyway, stupidity is the lowest hanging fruit in the mongering world - don't be surprised when it gets picked on. ar+

**** girls at la?

true story. the guy is not a sex-veteran. but even a veteran can fall for it i guess if in a wrong pass, or just tired.

there is no id card checking at la! also, is there even a sign stating legal entry age? where? maybe in a dark corner but not on front door.

the problem is: adult sex maybe ok. but if someone gets in real trouble with minors there that will get publicity, may even get into western media and will affect the newly blossoming ermita meat-trade. see what happened 10-15 years ago.

also, there are too many things to worry about. one can easily forget to check the girls' card himself. every quality establishment does it, worldwide, la cafe apparently not. i don't suppose that la cafe is actually in the child-meat trade, then why they don't do it?

just to be safer for all of us, i have already emailed la cafe and raised the issue. they are at:

domain: ermita.com
user: lacafe

just for our peace of mind why not several of us email them and request that girls' id cards be checked on entry. it only takes a minute. and might save a whole lot of trouble for even you.

thanks for joining in.

-----------------------------------

as for the money changer: before you change, ask them to actually write down the rate offered and not say it only verbally. there are so many fucking things to remember here.

not trying to showel shit on philippinos but i myself was nearly drugged ( hairbreadth away) on one occasion. many others fared worse. see the testimonies at margarita station in balibago, near the toilet. so, be extra careful, much more than in thailand.

and that's not "the story of the unluckiest monger in pi". there are lot-lot worse stories.

No, I wouldn't recommend joining this crusade, especially to ask them to do something that is already being done. I have been around LA Cafe for enough years to know that what has been written by this member is mis-informed.

Whatever axe Mr Turd is trying to grind with the management of LA Cafe - more power to him. But please let's resist this attempt to try to drag us into his numerous personal mongering problems by trumping up accusations and then getting members to join in. Could you and your friend be one and the same people? Whatever happened to you, it is not LA Cafe's fault that you picked up the wrong girl and then botched the situation further at the hotel.

LA Cafe is a straight-up establishment that does its best IMHO to keep the right people in and the wrong people out. The girls don't work for the bar, so let's not blame the bar when members happen to have a bad experience. It is embarassing to see a monger cry about his bad experience in this way.

Take responsibility for your own actions. AR+

same thing happened to a friend of mine recently at the la cafe. he picked up a girl and. after the deed. she claimed to be ****, demanded more money, then said she was calling the police. my friend called her bluff by handing her the phone and saying to her: "what are you going to tell them, that i paid extra to do you up the ass."

on a more serious side, i have been to the la cafe more times than i can remember and have never had a problem, and if any problems have developed when i was there involving others, which did happen in a few instances, management was there immediately to resolve them. i feel certain that la cafe does a great job in protecting there establishment and its customers. like anywhere else, there is a select few who try to be scam artists or just manipulative or deceitful in some way, but that is part of society and should be no reflection on the establishment or the patrons who frequent it, in this case the la cafe. asian rain once again said it quite well.

The only problem I had: a really professional pick pocket (a chick who I sat and chatted with) got me for about 2,000 pesos one night. I caught her red handed when she was into my righthand pocket with another 1,000 (but I did not report her to management, my fault).

I'm sure.

I too have spent many hours (probably more like days) in L.A. Cafe. I used to live above the laundry on Santa Monica between Del Pilar and Mabini. So stumbling home with a few too many on board was not too hard. I wouldn't recommend this to all. But I was treated differently living there.

About the only thing I don't like about L.A. Cafe is the massage guy ! I mean he's a nice enough guy and has strong hands but it just feels strange having the shoulder and neck kinks worked out by a dude.

greetings,

thank you for everyone for the positive responses. maybe enuff said about the subject. whether you care or not is up to you. hope you had all fun kicking someone.

anyone can assess it for himself:

every night there are at least 2-3 guys walking around with girls that are clearly not more than 16-17 even allowing for the filipina youthful appearance. they are not very young, however young enough to make trouble.

the point is: they are 'illegal' and still they are allowed in. (i am not trying to preach. it's upto everyone's own conscience who they fuck. i am sure if it was legal to do it, a large number of subscribers to this forum would fuck them. what holds most men back is the law and not ethical reasons.)

however, potential trouble is there.

1. because you might pick one up because you believe she had been checked.

2. because anywhere there are **** cunts for hire (even if by a month), the 'do-gooders' will immediately turn up to wreak havoc, to close down places, etc.

and no, there are no id checks at entrance. only bag checks. sure. see it for yourself.

what police would do in the circumstance in this country is unpredictable and whatever happens it is still a hassle and unnecessary to a good holiday. there is horrendous poverty all over the streets and if anyone (even a cop) can make a quick buck on a tourist, so good for them.

what i am saying is that it would make it so much safer for all if the id checks were enforced, as at the moment they are not. if you are there and observe it, at least raise the issue with the guards or management.

by the way yes, the place seems well run, there is a general good atmosphere, but the whole la cafe is a potential fire trap and the dense cigarette smoke every night is irritating. however it is usually packed with quality meat, often even at early hours (bargains!). so, yes everyone make their own choice whether to visit or not.

--------------------------------------------------

one disturbing thing about the filipinas is that they seem to be compulsive liars when it comes to business. much more so than thais. whether they are better for gf experience i don't know. (i have never actually had a gf yet.) but the many lies really put many guys off. i know because they told me.

on another forum i found a sort of checklist that may help some to get a better deal. print it out and make sure they understand and sign every line. in a/c some bars have signs saying: "no refund on barfines, choose carefully". so there must be some unhappy customers complaining.

in a country where it's possible to buy almost anything, including phony or even "official" ids, there's no reassurance at all in checking a girl's documents. the only semi-sure way to avoid a hassle is to listen to your instincts and if that little voice in your head says: "she's ****!" listen to it, and look elsewhere. the morality of being with someone below the legal age is a compelling enough reason to avoid that particular temptation. if that does not work for you though, think about the fact that the newspapers here are replete with stories about foreigners "caught" with **** women, and there are groups here that like to make examples of such cases. you do not want to even think about the hassles and expense that would be incurred in such a case.

in a place like la cafe the ratio of women to men is probably 5:1 or higher, so it cannot be all that difficult to find someone who is appealing enough and old enough.

You fly from Denver to San Francisco with a short layover, then you fly into Hong Kong and fly to Manila on Philippine Air. You arrive at 11pm.

The flights were using a "k" fare and were anytime between now and I believe the middle of January with a 2 week black out over Christmas. The best thing to do is call United because when I called travelocity they said the fares were not in there system and for me to contact United about it, so that is what I did. My two bits:

If your using the west coast hub cities (LAX, San Fran or Seattle) check out EVA Airs "Delux Class". Adds about $200 to their economy fare, but you get a much bigger seat and much better legroom. Important for some of us.

Age of consent laws in the Philippines are complicated. You do not reach full majority until 21. There are different laws for 18 to 21 year olds, 16 to 18 year olds, 14 to 16 year olds, and under 14.

From a practical standpoint you will never have any problems from the law if the girl is over 16. Maybe theoretically possible to be charged with a crime, but extreemly unlikely. However, since this board considers (and rightfully so) minors to be under 18, we of course should never discuss the subject of 16 and 17 year olds.

First posting. I miss MH del Pilar street. Rosies dinner, firehouse, lovebirds, blue hawaii, beer garden, visions, cotton club, to name a few. Talking heads song, "cherry cherry". Mayor Lim did a really mess. I have been back since. LACafe(old rosies dinner, nipa hut), full of girls. Took a waitress out for fun. Good gfe. Only problem, I had to wait until her shift was over. If you like a waitress at LA cafe(which I think are cute and available), don't hasitate to ask them out. If they say no, there are plenty of fish(meat)to choose from. If you don't see what you want, take a taxi(Php 100 or so) to EDSA. You will find some of the old clubs(on ermita) there. Visions, is not in this complex, but somewhere on Roxas Boulevard. I met a few nice ladies there. I took two for fun. I was too drunk then. I enjoyed one before going to sleep, and one the next morning. It's so nice to wake up with two beautiful girls beside you. I stay at the Rothman Inn on Adriatico street everytime I go to Manila. I shall return to Manila in March to do some DATY, and to later go to the Provinces to meet many of my pen-pals(and hopefully do some DATY too).

I will be in Manila next month staying near the airport. Can someone give me information on the Entertainment Complex that has a number of bars. Names? Cost? Availability of private rooms? Etc.

Thank you.

Went there one night ! hardly any customers and went to every club to check out all very friendly.
Price ladies drink 190 peso. girls are inexperinced as i found out chatting to some of them. most from provences Bicol etc.
Took 2 girls all night bar fine 1000 peso's the girls agreed to 1500 pesos each. they did not quote prices and asked what i would like to pay ! I said 1500 each till 9 am. experience was good and had lots of fun , doing both at same time from kiss one while fucking the other etc, did not ask for girl on girl action but fun in the shower with both of them at same time.

There was one girl who i nearly took was only 2 days and only been with her boyfriend, very sweet but did not want to teach her that night. best club was at end on right hand side with your back to the road. great place for quite time many to chosse from. no pressure once inside clubs, just the pressure to get you to go to their club. Where as firehouse too noisy many girls and pressure same quality of girls in both places, so if you want to chill at an easy pace yes thats the place to go. Caution wear Condom !! cos they told me some girls are not clean VD okay remeber rthey go once a week not everyday to be checked ok ! and as its cheap and not many clients i think locals go there.
Good luck

There are two entertainment complexes near the airport. Sincy Porty mentioned Firehouse, I assume he was at the one on EDSA Blvd. near the Roxas/EDSA intersection in Pasay. This is a really great place. If I have an early morning flight out of Manila, I stay at the Copacabana which is right across the street. Not the best hotel in the area, but has a nice pool.

There is another entertainment complex that is relatively unknown. It is right across from the Cebu Pacific Airline complex. Very quiet when I went there...girls standing outside trying to wave customers in. The bars are much smaller and less sophisticated (not sure if that is the right adjective to use) than EDSA Entertainment Complex, but certainly worth a vist. The few ladies I talked to seemed unwilling to do overnight because they actually lived with their families in the Manila area. There was one cutey who wouldn't go overnight, so I called her the next day and asked for an afternoon date. She said her mother required her to bring a chaperone. I declined, but maybe I shouldn't have! :-)

X man the mention of firehouse was in relation to the quality of the girls ! found both the same. I was talking about the new entertianment center across from the cebu pacific. Ok. So the information was all about the mew entertianment center. The main difference is one is very busy and you are hasseled ( Firehouse) the other is very quiet and you can just cruise. depends on what you want.

Have to agree about the Firehouse, ala Potty; indeed, any of the EDSA bars. Its a hustle. They push you for drinks, girls etc. albeit in a Philippine way. In contrast to the gum-chewing USA way, its merely annoying and mostly lighthearted. But it is at odds with the generally sweet way of the filipina. That being said, I still think EDSA is the best bet for punters in Manila when considering the quality, price, health risks, fantasy factor etc. Generally I stay in Makati, but taxi to EDSA.

My last trip to the PI was in August. I didn't post because I had nothing to add. Upon arriving home, my wife asked for a divorce and we're going through that now and it will be final soon. Financially, I escaped. The trips to PI, Colombia, Thailand, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, Venezuela, Cambodia, Vietnam etc finally took their toll, I guess. The 'scuba diving' excuse had a limited shelf life. And most 'normal' husbands go to Cancun and Florida anyway.

Prior, I had surmised feelings of great elation at the thought of being free; but its not so--at least not for me. Maybe its just a brief case of ennui, and probably I'm coming out of it because I notice that lately, I'm constantly thinking of the PI. Yeah, thats it.

I'm curious if any other guys have had a marriage end because of mongering activity. My wife and I got/get along great, in fact, I've banged her several times since she dropped the bombshell. She hasn't really verbalized it but I get the feeling that she couldn't continue to share me with all the hos in the aforementioned countries.

Continuing with this self-absorbed post: I wasted a month on Match and Yahoo Personals. Meeting up with late thirties white females. Discussing real estate opportunities; bonding over our mutual losses in the stock market in '00 and discussing childrearing. Meeting these women in restaurants in Midtown and sharing etc. What a crock of shit. At the end of the day, I dream of banging the sweet, young beauties of BKK and MNL. Just like I did before.

For a couple of months, I didn't even read the board. But I returned. And lo and behold! a revelation. I discover that its the board that endures, that thrives and continues--and its the marriages that often wither and die. I had mistakenly assumed the opposite.

Should be in the PI in a month or so, and looking forward to it.

Don

She knows what i am like and does get jealous but she has to accept my way of life, Its cool cos she wants child so last trip we started to try for a child, I rent an appartment in Lapu Lapu and it works out cheaper for a years rent, than a months hotel bill.
there is nothing like having 2 little darlinga doing everything you wish for 7 hours, and to think it only cost 100 dollars! gee thats the same cost for a night out at a restaraunt and drinks here. then all the bullshit of talking about shit. Then you end up being called a player or womaniser if you try to sleep with them, then they expect you to call them next day I am refering to the ladies here in the western world.
I mean it only cost me 900 dollars for the plane from australia to manila, so hey even for a long weekend i might visit just to clean my pipes!

I just got back from 3 months in Pi, mostly spent in Cebu. My wife is Filipina and I was able to get away alone in Cebu and Dumaguete for 6 weeks. I counted 17 girls in all I slept with, 10 of whom I met through chat. I told my wife I needed a retreat and she reluctantly agreed.

Now back In the USA things are normal except I miss the girl I met at the end..#17. No attachments otherwise and life is back to normal. How I miss those smiling cuties.

One interesting experience I had was when my wife and I were at a hotel in Cebu and twas her last day there until she went back to Mindanao to be with her family. I was outside and I saw a cutie (#4) walking to our Hotel and was checking her out. Later that day I was sitting in the lobby screwing around with my new cell phone when I realized i did not save it's number in the address book. I glanced to my right and there she was sitting a few feet away. So I had an idea how I could get my number and at the same time get hers. I asked her if I could call her cell so I could see my number. She agreed and I of course had her number. (A great way to get a girls number guys).

So the wife is still upstairs in the Hotel and after #4 left I sent a text to her and asked was she staying at my hotel? She said she was not and was visiting an old German man whom she did not like and was upset with because he wanted a threesome with her and her sister. I asked her where she was staying and she said another hotel nearby.

I then asked if could come visit her in her Hotel and she agreed. It turned out her and her sister were just on vacation here in Cebu and she had met this guy through a friend. She did not sleep with this man though and was trying to escape his advances.

Her story: 6 months prior was an entertainer in japan. I assumed she was having sex for pay there but she said in her case no and said she did not go home with the men and only sang and danced. I thought they all went with the guys there, but maybe that's not the case. That aside she was no virgin as I was to later find out.

So now it's time to go to her hotel. It was the next day and her sister had gone back to Manila. She stayed behind and the fun began. Let me describe her: 20 yrs, body like a 5 ft barbie doll, dyed reddish hair, chocolate skin, long red nails and a potty mouth with handful tits. We banged hard and her agressiveness turned me on.

After that I went back to my hotel and waited for the clock then saw my wife off to the ocean jet to Mindanao. I was the proverbial cat who ate the canary on this one..heheheh.

#4 left 2 days later after further shagging. I used my Im sick excuse and was ready to move on. No money did she ever ask for. How often can you find a freebie like that in the USA?

Punishment for my sins: I GOT AN STD ! Don't know for sure who I got from though. Damn, it really slowed me down and hurt like a mother. I went to cebu doctors and got antibiotics which eventually knocked it out. It came and went though and I was still able to monger off and on with a condom this time. Guys be careful, there is some nasty stuff out there even from the supposed "good" girls I met in chat. I Also got HEAD LICE ! But thats another story...

Total cost of my trip : A SHIT LOAD ! I was there 3 months and made a big purchase for my wifes family. I also spent more time in Hotels in the city than I had planned due to extreme boredom in the province: No internet, crappy cable and no nightlife drove me again and again back to the city. I would say I spent roughly 10,000 usd. minus the big purchase.

Most of the girls I slept with were not pro's and I spent like I would on a normal date. I treated them well but I lied like crazy to play the game and have as many expeiences as possible. I did my best not to hurt anyone emotionally and for the most part I suceeded.

I asked the Doc when I got my tests results and he said the good news was that it was not Chlymidia. sp? Apparently for men this is a really nasty STD. He said if I wanted to know specifically what it was they would need to analyze it more in the lab to pinpoint it. He just said it was an STD, not super serious, and gave me some antibiotics. I was satisfied and did not ask for further analysis. There is alot of crap out there and I had some mega pain in my cock. The antibiotics were hell too.

As far as Manila, try the chat rooms. IRC is good, then shift them to yahoo messenger so you can use a cam. Of course there are always the malls. Looks help, but even if your not so goodlooking you can have success. Spamhog has some good advice in the Cebu section. As he said just be patient and let things unfold naturally. Out of the girls I pursued only a few were duds and I attribute that to patience with a laid back wait and see attitude.

I was satisfied and did not ask for further analysis. There is alot of crap out there and I had some mega pain in my cock. The antibiotics were hell too.

I'm no Doctor, but I have been treated for Chlamydia before. Caught it a long time ago before I had ever heard of the Philippines. Nice girl from school gave it to me. It was not serious at all as long as you catch it in time, which I think is the case for all STD's with some being more serious than others. Chlamydia as well as other STD's may have no symptoms at all, so it is wise to have yourself tested if you think you may have put yourself at risk.
I would think any STD's that would cause the type of pain you described is much more serious than a common STD or the Chlamydia type. I would have it looked at further if I were you.
There are internet services that you can use to do blood test like http://www.preventivelabs.com/

I have seen others available that give more privacy if that is important. Do an internet search and you should find them.

for the record, this is my first post to isg. i have been benifiting from reading the forum for many years and wish to express my appreciation to all contributors. usually, i do not feel that i can contribute new information from my experiences although some are good and entertaining stories.

in the case of my trip to manila, i did my usual research by reading several pages of posts, making notes to carry with me. i had noted some bar names including of course, la cafe. upon initiating a conversation with a taxi driver comming from the airport, i got the impression that this was someone with alot of pride in knowing where to take visitors.

the first stop, after check in at the manila hotel, was a strip club type of place on roxas. this was a mistake perhaps caused by me not being clear enough about what i was looking for exactly. i did not record the name of the joint. i was the only one in there (it was 7pm). they pushed a couple of girls up on the stage for me and the mamsan sat down next to me. she was quoting 10,000 to take a girl home and was willing to go to 8,000. she had a big speech about a grade and b grade and other bs. i left promptly after paying 2,000 for 2 jwb on the rocks. i felt violated and discouraged.

after explaining to jose (the taxi driver) that all i wanting was a no bs girl-in- my-hotel arrangement because i had to leave early the next day for another island in pi, he took me to the perfect place. no name for the place. no signs. not too far from roxas. we got out of the car and walked toward a tailoring (sewing) shop. but as i approached the door, i was directed to another door six or so feet to the left that was obscured by tall bushes. i entered into a small room, the first door closed and a second door opened in front of me. i entered a large, well lit room with couches arranged in a "stadium" fashion. on these couches, there was no less than 50 girls, smiling and calling out to me. selecting was difficult as there were so many beauties. i did select and she went to change.

back in the small room, i handed a guy 3000 and went to wait in the cab. the girl was a great choice. i look for 20-24 in age, thin, and happy looking. the younger ones tend to be too shy and not as competent imo. she stayed the night and did the usual expected stuff.

i only had one more night in manila on my reuturn from other areas of pi. that was a sunday and i heard that many places were closed. i called jose and we went to la cafe. i was not impressed at all. more guys than girls and the quality was poor. based on what i have read here, i can only blame that on the fact that it was sunday.

so i told jose to take me to some other places he knew. we went to 2 other places that were very simular to the "sewing shop" on the first night athough they had less selection. i ended up getting greedy and taking two girls back to manila hotel for 3k each. the girls were good and sweet but shy about being together. i finally sent one home and kept one untill morning. the girl that left early had to call her manager on her cell and i had to give verbal permission for her to leave. this, to me, indicates good management and a tight ship.

overall, i was very happy with my two nights in manila and wanted to shared them with you. the deciding factor in posting this was that jose specifically asked me to share his contact information on the internet. he knows these places with no name and would like to drive other foreigners to them. he speaks perfect english and i ended up giving him 300-400 per night which he was happy with. his number is 0919-7532139. he also offered to introduce me to his non-pro nieghbor who had expressed interest in marrying a foreigner.

also, quickly i can also recomend manilla hotel near risa park on roxas. i did not check in the girls and there was never any static. the rooms have nice veiws of the park or the port of manilla.

the girls i met were also picture friendly and i will post some in the picture forum in the next day or so.

take care,

Yi Ren

Verde,

Great FR. Thanks for Jose's number!

I arrived in Manila Sunday night, and had occassion to call Jose last night. Unfortunately, due to his waiting at the airport for a passenger, he wasn't able to come to my hotel (Hyatt Regency on Roxas) till nearly 1am.

First stop was the place you mention with 40-50 girls. Unfortunately we arrived just as a black out occurred, and too difficult to pick out what I wanted by candle. I also thought their asking of 5000 pesos too high, and even felt the 3000 quickly reverted to was too high... could be that I couldn't see how truly beautiful the girls were?

At any rate, I asked Jose to take me someplace else. We ended up at a small place on a corner, couldn't see a name. There were about 6 or 7 girls; I picked Maui, a 19 year old Visayan from Leyte. Cute face, nice, perfect tits and a great ass. I gave mamasan 2000 pesos, what she asked for (maybe I could've bargained, but I felt 2000 was reasonable).

While I won't say she was great, she didn't do anything objectionable, and after two weeks of working in the lands of the Great White Whales (England and Australia), little brother was looking for some Asian comfort. After 3 goes, he was pretty happy. Had to wake her for the last two, and she wasn't all that eager, but once little brother slid in, she quickly seemed to get more interested.

I'm here another couple of days, then it's back to my Bangkok apartment. Thanks again, Verde!

Hello,

If anyone needs a wingman, send me a pm.

Manila / AC area 12.20 till 12.27 and then Cebu 12.27 to 01.05.06. I might make some side trips out of Cebu: Dumaguete, Bohol, Surigao come to mind...

Question:

Where would YOU go for Christmas, AC or MLA? I've been to both places before and have a few contacts in each place. I'm leaning toward Manila, but would like to hear your suggestions.

Hi to all,

Arrived yesterday in Manila, stayed at Copacobana Hotel Pasay, just crossed the street (very fast :D) and went to the Entertainment complex. Firehouse was the best. Barfined a girl from Cebu. Barfine was 1000 p, plus the damage for the girl. I did one mistake and didnt talk to her before, stronglz advise, she ask for 3000p and I gave her that, she promised me to come over next day before start working..I declined cause Im here for the 3 FFF. More gurls to go.

Copacabana Hotel is a gud place to stay, hotel costs me about 1800 pesos.

I'm now in angels city and checkin the bars, comin gback with an upate in ac section.

Happy hunting!

Manila,Since Many AC girls go home for the holidays

I spent only about two nights in Manila last week, after first spending about four nights in AC. I was generally disappointed with Manila. I stayed at the Copacabana Apartments right across from the EDSA Entertainment Complex.

I traveled with a buddy from AC, and used the shuttle service booked through Central Park Hotel in AC for 2700 pesos. The driver was excellent, making the trip in 1.5 hours from AC...that's possibly record time for AC to Manila.

The first night we visited EDSA and came away with sticker shock. The girls were HOT, but the bar fine and girl's compensation is very expensive compared to AC. So, we decided to exit EDSA early, and to explore LA Cafe and Makati instead.

Since our access to internet was limited from Copacabana, my buddy and I decided that to try to research the boards concerning the delights of Makati would be difficult and tiring. We checked some of the archived stuff on his computer, but didn't find a lot of encouraging information relative to where to go in Makati.

I'm sure there is detail on the board, but we would have had to go to the internet shop to find it, and with the rainy, shitty weather, we were not sufficiently motivated to do so. We did have detail on the Airport Entertainment Center, but most of the reported information indicated that it was priced the same as EDSA.

On the first night, after visiting EDSA for about an hour and being disappointed in the price structure. We decided to explore LA Cafe. While on the way through Ermita to LA Cafe, our taxi driver pointed out a couple of bars that he said were much better than LA Cafe. But, since we hadn't visited LA Cafe, we were insistent on going there, not knowing if our driver was being motivated by the prospect of commissions or not. In retrospect, we realize that he was probably being straight with us. That's why we were hoping to go with him the second night so we could give him another chance to take us the places he had tried to recommend the night before. Unfortunately, he would be unavailable the second night.

We visited LA Cafe, and were relatively disappointed in the quality of selection there. It consisted of mostly older girls, and a relatively high percentage of fuglies. We did not stay very long, maybe a half hour, because we were simply unimpressed. We were repeatedly hit on, but decided that there may be better quality of selection elsewhere...not sure where, but LA Cafe did not push any buttons for us. We did not even get far enough in conversation with the girls to discuss their fees, and have no idea what they routinely charge. But, it would not have mattered as, IMHO, the selection was very mediocre. It was a rainy, nasty night, and perhaps only the starving fugly/older bar girls were out in force.

After being relatively disappointed with LA Cafe, I inquired with our driver about whether there were any decent Fish Bowls in Manila. He informed us that there were several good ones, and that there was one not too far from LA Cafe. He told us it was not his first choice, but it was close by.

Our taxi driver took us to the Fish Bowl located not too far from LA Cafe, probably less than five minutes away. It was a "Hole in the Wall" kind of place, with no markings or signage on it. It was not really a Fish Bowl, but rather a small, dirty room with opposing couches on either side of the room. When you arrive, the girls, about 15 of them, all file in and take a seat on the couch, where they wave and smile to entice you to select them. There were only three or four of them that appealed to us. But, we were running out of time, and we decided to go ahead and make a selection.

Later the next day, from another taxi driver, we learned that we can negotiate the Fish Bowl rates down to between $1500-$2000 pesos. That first night, as I said, my buddy and I selected two girls from the fish bowl. Both girls were cute, and both of them turned out to be really excellent GFE's. I meant to get the address information of the Fish Bowl for the board, but forgot to do so that night, fully intending to get details from the taxi driver the next day. Unfortunately, we were never able to hook up with the driver the next day, and the details of the Fish Bowl location are unknown to me at this juncture...Sorry.

Our intention for the following night was to call our trusted driver, and to use him to scope out the remaining Fish Bowls the second night. But, the following day, when we called him, he told us he was off duty. So, we figured we would have to start from scratch again, and hope that we could find a driver that was sufficiently hip as to know his way to the good Fish Bowls.

Anyway, because I was relatively disappointed in Manila, except for the Fish Bowl experience, I decided that I could still make it to AC for some fun that third night. I had to fly out of AC anyway for Singapore to return home the next day, and my buddy's return flight was out of Manila around noon the next day. So, I made an executive decision to go for the lazy man's alternative, that being the sure thing, to revisit AC that third night instead of remaining in Manila to complete my research on the Fish Bowl scene.

Because the trusted taxi driver was not available, I was doubtful that I would be able to find another driver in a timely manner, that is, enough of a timely manner to effectively scope out all the Fish Bowls in Manila in the one remaining night left. I just decided that rather than stay in Manila, where it was shitty weather (rainy), I would just use the time in the early evening that third night to take a taxi to AC, where I hoped I could find a girl for the night with plent of time to spare. I also felt that if I were in AC that night, then I could make it to the Clark Airport in a more leisurely manner the next day than from Manila.

Also, the noise level form the roadways was really very loud for me at Copacabana. I was on the 10th floor, and for some reason, there was a significant amount of horn blowing and traffic noise all day and night long. I noticed that my buddy's room on the fourth floor was seemingly much quieter, perhaps because there are other buildings around the lower floors that absorb the noise better. So, for me, the prospect of spending the night in Copacabana one more night was not appealing, and if I was going to go to the effort of repacking to change rooms, then I decided that I might as well pack up and just head for AC early.

One thing that convinced me to return to AC early from Manila was the price structure of Manila compared to AC, especially the bar fines in EDSA. My trip buddy and I were quoted a 1000 peso bar fine by the Mamasan at one of the bars there, the place with the automobile motif, which would have been perfectly acceptable, but the girl my buddy wanted told him that 1000 pesos is just the bar fine. She told him that she charges 3000 pesos in addition to the cost of the bar fine. So, for this particular girl, he was quoted a 1000 peso bar fine, plus a 3000 peso girl's fee, which would have made a 4000 peso total "bar fine."

We were told that the bar fine was about the same in all the clubs, and I guess perhaps we may have jumped to conclusions about what the actual negotiated reality is for EDSA including bar fines, girl's fee, plus tips. I'm sure the bar fine and girl's fees probably vary depending on the girl. The girl he was negotiating with was really HOT, and probably commanded a slightly higher bar fine. But, generallly the cost at EDSA is pretty high compared to AC.

Frankly, we were anxious to get out of EDSA after visiting only one of the bars, because we noticed that lady's drinks were very high, 350 pesos, and because the place was so empty, you are literally attacked by hordes of bar girls looking for drinks, tips for massage, tips for hot towels, tips for cold towels, photos, flowers, nuts, tips for photos, tips for flowers, and tips for nuts, and anything frickin' else they could think of, etc., etc, etc...and we even felt compelled to tip the fuckwads out front who helped us out of our taxi with an umbrella to the door of the complex, and back again. It was raining when we arrived, and we just accepted their "kindness" on the way to the door, thinking it was the EDSA Complex offering good customer relations...I know, we should have known better, AND DO!!!

I guess we were scared off by all the tipping, high drink prices, and then to be quoted a 4000 peso "bar fine," inclusive, we just assumed the entire EDSA Complex was like that. In reading the archives we had on computer about the newest other alterntive, the "EDSA-Like" airport venue, we also got that same impression, that there is an expectation for a sizeable girl's fee, plus bar fine, plus tip. That is, 1500-3000 pesos for the girl, over and above the 1000 peso bar fine. The way it was presented to us, the bar fine is strictly that, a bar fine, and not meant as compensation for the girl. That is the main important distinction to take note of when comparing AC versus Manila. In AC, the bar fine amount is inclusive, and the only additional cost is if you choose to tip or not.

One taxi driver informed us that he only makes about 250 pesos a day from driving his taxi in Manila, after expenses, inclucing taxi rent, gasoline, etc...Knowing what the taxi driver makes puts everything in perspective, and helps you to realize just how much money the girls are sometimes making if they get $1000-$3000 pesos as their share of the bar fine in EDSA. Of course there are almost no competing customers in EDSA, so who knows how often they are fortunate enough to find a bar fine. And, who knows if those ridiculous bar fines in EDSA can be negotiated down sufficiently to be attractive to the average AC monger.

I say the EDSA prices are riciculous, but really, I had considered just paying the bar fine there in EDSA and staying the night in Manila because the girls ARE really HOT. I mean we are talking a wopping $55 roughly, and I have paid almost three times that in Monterrey for only 2 hours. But, for some reason, I just had a desire to return to AC, and especially to scope out Perimeter Road once again.

Of course, based on what normal people make in Manila, I imagine you could bargain the girls down to a reasonable amount, maybe even 500-1000 pesos plus bar fine, but even at that, we were feeling reluctant that to bargain them down too low might detract from our overall GFE experience with them. So, we got cold feet over both of the Entertainment venues, EDSA and the Airport, and we had hoped more optomistically for better at LA Cafe...NOT!

We later learned from the taxi driver that there is also a relatively decent Fish Bowl scene in Manila as well. After we had visited LA Cafe, and decided we were relatively disappointed with it, we asked the taxi driver about Fish Bowls in the area. He said there were several in Manila. We decided to explore a Fish Bowl that was close, near LA Cafe. We actually found a couple of girls in the fish bowl that we liked, so we bar fined them.

The fishbowl did cost us 3000 pesos each for all night. We were originally quoted 4000 pesos, but negotiated that down to 3000 pesos with no detrimental effects to the GFE quality. Fact is, the girls were both really great GFE's.

We eventually concluded that if the fishbowls cost 3000 pesos, that apparently the girls at EDSA, who are better looking and have hotter and tighter bodies, would surely command at least slightly more, if not a lot more. So, the quoted 4000 peso total amount quoted for all nighters out of EDSA seemed consistent when compared with the fishbowl, which might even be available for 1500-2000 pesos if negotiated properly.

Well, sponge bob, thanks for the information...despite all the winging.

My rule of thumb for negotiating is offer half of what they ask for and then go from there. And do this a few times to get an idea of what the "normal" cost is. But now that I know the normal cost at EDSA, I don't even talk money. Don't think I've ever paid more than 1500 at EDSA, except for the times the lady spent the entire next day with me.

Yes, I also feel frustrated when I have to spend my valuable vacation time trying to find out the "normal" price of things. But, that's just one of the things that makes our trips so interesting.

Spongebob complains about noise at Cobacabana.

Always ask to see the room before you hand over your money.

This hotel is across from EDSA and is a good place if you are on a budget and have a morning flight. It has a nice pool. Avoid rooms that face the front if possible...especially if you are a light sleeper.

And every time I go there I end up paying for a bottle of water that I didn't consume. "Sir, is it possible your guest had a bottle of water."

I was there in October ! Just be strong and say no to all at the start of entering the club. Just hold back and watch everytime they come up say no ! that way they will no u mean business ! then after you choose the girl you will be ok ! The ld cosy was 190 peso's for me ! So it means they where trying to rip you off as maybe they thought you where a newbee !
Bar fine yes 1000 peso ! but i had to girls and was just really nice and told them they get presents for good job too ! Bar of chocolate and shell jewelery as u had samples from my manufacture with me. They came for all night till 9 am in morning for 1500 peso each ! so with the bar fine and tip cost for 2 girls was 5000 peso's. No taxi fare either and only one ld ! so i think thats okay but if i only took 1 girl then cost is only 2500 all night !
Maybe the girl though she could charge that much ! But you know so many girls there and so little customers I would say 10 girls to every man. Also i had another girl say she will meet me after work so no bar fine and only 1000 peso but i was not interested in her !
The other reason is sometimes the girls and the man click ! So when that happens the price id right ! If the girl does not click with you then she will want premium price and most likely the service will be only average !
Same ols story , The more beautiful the worse the service ! Just like when we where teenages ! the average girls put out and great sex< the beautiful ones said no as they could pick and choose.
Sorry that you did not like edsa , but remember dont judge a book by its cover !!

Good post Porty,

The ending is especially important. If you're fugly, you'll have to pay full fare. Same thing if you treat them badly, or start a conversation by asking for special services and negotiating fees.

I know some people swear that this is important, and if you require special services then I guess it makes sense.

I treat them like a girlfriend, and I often get gfe back...which includes lower costs. In most cases I never talk money and never pass money. I slip a bill or two into their bags while they are in the shower.

BTW, I'm no stud-muffin. Middle aged, bald, a few pounds overweight...but I pulled a 28 year old Japanese computer progarmmer last week. I'm sure you guys could care less, but as Porty points out, how you look and act will affect your success.

Bayview is crap and decrepit. I would not stay there. Palm Plaza is okay. My favourite is Executive Plaza. If you book thru Action Travel in Angeles thru the web or telephone, you can get a room at 1,500 pesos. Nice hotel, rooms are large and clean and less than 5 minutes from LA Cafe, G Point, etc. Very girl friendly.

I once did a walk in at Executive. The suggested a standard for 2000. I looked at a room, but there was only one small window. Other rooms may be different:

Now here's a place that looks too good to be true. Near Paco Park, with swimming pool for about 2000. Has anyone stayed at Paco Park Oasis?

Hi X-Man,

I'm surprised you did not like Executive Plaza. I guess I lucked out and got a good room.

Similar thing happened to me with Best Western La Corona just up from LA Cafe. I got a real crappy room with dark hardwood floors that made it look gloomy and bathroom where you had to stand on the john to open and close the door. On my way out I noticed the maid making up an adjacent room. It had marble floors, a newer bed and larger bathroom. The room was also much larger than mine. I enquired and she said it was a double room, same as mine.

I asked to be changed and they said all the rooms were spoken for. Next morning I was pissed as only half the rooms had newspapers outside so I knew the hotel was not full. That's when I moved to Executive Plaza.

The mistake you made was only visiting one bar in EDSA. To the average person, all the bars are the same, with a bunch of similar women in each. However, after visiting EDSA maybe 50 times over the past 9 months, you realize that every bar is in fact quite different. For example, Out of the 50 or so visits, I have had maybe 40 girls (I sometimes come away empty handed). Of those 40 girls, not a single one came from Pit Stop (the one bar you visited). I would break it down to about:

12 - Bullets and Arrows
10 - Cotton Club
8 - Firehouse
7 - Space Girls
3 - Casino
1 - Samba
1 - VIP Room
0 - Pitstop

So it is clear from the above list that not all bars are the same. I would say that any regular would have a similar breakdown, but the bars would be different. There might be someone who has taken 10 from Pitstop and not a single girl from Bullets, because that person tends to like the pitstop girls better. Personally, I don't really know why I have never taken a girl from Pitstop, but I just never found anyone I liked there. And now, I usually just skip the place (along with Samba and VIP) as I have had such bad luck.

Also, the bars change alot. Somtimes a strong bar will for some reason become the pits, and lousy bars will all of a sudden become filled with hot chicks. For example, up until about 3 months ago, I had not had a single girl from the cotton club. I usually just passed on the place as it was so weak. Then, all of a sudden, it was filled with hotties. Why? Don't know or care. And there was a one week period when I had three girls from Bullets. The bar was just amazing. But right now, bullets is weak and have only found about one girl in the last month.

There is no reason to only visit one bar when you visit EDSA. Just go into 3 or 4 bars, buy a coke in each one, and the total damage will be about $6. Only buy a ladies drink when you think you see a girl you really like. I know all the people wanting a tip or for you to buy something can be a hassle, but you have to learn to just ignore them. For me its just background noise and doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Just arrived in Manila today; staying at Shangri-La in Makati for a couple of days, then on to Cebu. Any of you dogs want to hook up? PM me if interested.

I stayed at Executive Plaza twice this fall - both times had nice rooms on the 9th floor. The service was excellent but I really can't comment on the size of the window. Windows just aren't important to me.

Stayed there 3 nights in 2003. It was OK, interesting rooms but all painted a glossy dark tan, even the built in wooden closets. Opt for one of the Deluxe Rooms or above if you stay there. Food was good, pool was OK, big hassle was traffic - you have to cross UN Ave to get to Robinson's Galleria and Malate/Ermita. Traffic issue was so bad that it puts the Nix on Paco Park for future stays for us.

If you've got $90/Night to spend, it rivals some of the best hotels I've stayed at. First time I stayed there was 1/7/01, with my then fiance (now wife), we were blown away by the room. 2nd time was Black Thursday (Thurs before Good Friday) and the barbershop across the street was on fire. Same size room, but way downscale, almost dingy. Since half the hotel staff was helping to fight the fire from the3rd floor roof, I just accepted the room. I would ask to see the room first before signing in to make sure that you got one of the good ones.

Cherry Blossoms Hotel, on J. Bocobo St., just down the street from St Luke's Extension and right across the street from Robinson's was "good" at about P1,500 per night, free "OK" breakfast. Good if your fiance is going for her exam also.

The replies from this board, as well as from several others, have been pretty unanimous regarding the overall quality of experience that is potentially available in Manila.

Most admit that the cost is slightly higher than AC, but not nearly as expensive as my initial perceptions, something that unfortunately scared me off of conducting a more thorough investigation initially.

Based on the way the comments from seasoned veterans of Manila have been running, it seems that the options, selection, and variety offer a pretty good potential in the final analysis.

I will definitely be reassessing the options in Manila from an enlightened perspective on my next trip. I look forward to budgeting a slightly longer period of time than just two days on my next trip, something that severely limited my ability to complete a thorough investigation of all the options last time.

Thanks for all the advice and commentary...

I've read that bar fines are as little as 1000 pesos and as much as 5000 pesos. Is the difference in cost directly related to the talent?

I've gathered a lot of information on this and other boards as to the price structure in Manila after having recently posted on my limited brief experience there, and after having received numerous replies from guys who are apparently seasoned veterans. I think I have a pretty accurate feel for what is the going rate in Manila. But, those who are more knowledgeable than I, please feel free to correct my perceptions, and set the record straight if I am in error.

If you are used to negotiating in Angeles City, then it's a little misleading in that bar fines are 1000 pesos in Manila. But, unlike Angeles City, where your total cost, less tip, is included in the bar fine, in Manila you will owe the girl a fee in addition to the bar fine. Plus, proper mongering etiquette for good service will also dictate that you pay her a tip.

I am told that generally, at the clubs in the EDSA Complex, and at the Airport Complex, the going rate of compensation is around 2000-3000 pesos, which includes the bar fine of 1000 pesos, and the tip is "up to you."

So, compared to AC, where you can literally get LT for around 1000-1200 pesos inclusive, or even less on Perimeter Road, Manila will cost you about twice as much as Fields Road in AC, and sometimes more depending on the girl.

The bars in the EDSA Complex will require a 1000-1200 peso bar fine, and the girls will start out asking for a 3000 peso fee. Plus there will also be the expectation of a tip. I am told the girls will settle for a much lower fee, around 1200-2500 pesos, and I've been told that the fee really depends on the girl, and whether she can scam you into paying higher gringo rates.

Regarding places like LA Cafe, where the freelancers proliferate, the average inclusive cost seems to be between 1000-1500 pesos, paid directly to the girl for LT, and there is no bar fine. Obviously, if a tip is in order for GFE, then there is the addition of a tip to consider as well.

Regarding the Casas, I only have experience visiting the one, where I've been told that we probably paid too much, 3000 pesos, plus a 300-500 peso tip. I was later informed that the average long time cost of Casa girls should range from about 1500-2500 pesos inclusive, paid to the Casa up front, and then the tip amount is "up to you."

I usually tip them at least 300 pesos if they are good GFE's, and have even given more if their performance was exceptional.

Was in Manila from December 11th to December 14th. Stayed at the Las Palmas hotel (across from Pan Pacific). I had stayed there many years ago and thought I would try it again. It is a bit worn but my room (De luxe @ 2100p) was large and very clean. I would stay there again. You can walk to the LA Cafe and Remedious Circle.

By far the most fun I had was at the LA Cafe. It takes some skill to keep the skanks off you but, at the same time, there were a number of good looking fun girls. Sunday night I left at midnight and went to the Casino. Came back at 4:00 am and the place was still packed. A number of girls apprached me in teams, many were very cute. In fact, a number of dancers from clubs that had closed were there.

Went to EDSA, the ladies drink pressure was relentless. I finally left. Tried the "Butterfly Bar" up from the LA Cafe. It was the most depressing experience of my trip. Three or four skanks in a dingy atmosphere. Stay awary.

Cafe Havana (Remedious Circle) is nice later in the evening. Also a lot of good resteraunts in the area.

[QUOTE=LoveAsian*****s]The mistake you made was only visiting one bar in EDSA.

0 - Pitstop

Response to LAW: I was in Manila October 2004. Quite a long time ago. But I thought I would let you know. I visited EDSA complex and was surprised at how many good looking girls there were. The problem was the high prices - about $80 -$90 US dollars for all nite at the time. Samba was a smaller club, with less girls, but had some of the best looking girls there. There was one tall girl there that was a 10+ and would only do short time. (Anyone know who I am talking about? You wouldn't forget her.) This may be outdated, but I just wanted to let you know at the time I thought Samba Club had the best looking girls there.

Oh woe is the muff diver who having partaken of the sweet delights then discovers that his paramour has left him with something that is very nasty in the throat!!

Recently went back to Manila and stayed in OXford Suites - a very nice and girl friendly location smack bang in Burgos.

Well Bottoms being a previous haunt and also Ivory what to do but follow my nose.

Night 1 - Ivory - bar fine 3000 - girl 2000

A tall short haired minx called Joy who loved to slurp - the bbbj was a joy to witness and she also liked to be cleaned out whilst doing the deed on me. So down we went into the box and away went the tongue - this proceeded to increase her perfomance and so we whiled the night away with a three on the clock performance. Although she went early in the morning she was good value for money and would recommend.

Night 2 - Bottoms - bar fine 1500 - girl 3000
Cant remember her name but do remember that the reason I chose her was because int he competition to decide who should be barfined she kissed the best and raised the life downstairs. She was expertly trained by a Canadian !! Have to give him credit as she wore a maple leaf and loved to dive and be dived on. She gave head like no-bodys business albeit that she was very flat chested - seems to be the vogue in Manila !!

It was a week later that the fever struck and after getting checked out found out that had a throat infection. Normal antibiotics did not do the job and a short trip to Bahrain - more on that in Bahrain - did not help either. On the way back went to the ENT who immediately suspected some poison from down below. After two weeks the throat is now back to normal and a much chastened muff diver is wondering how to avoid the issue again.

Enough of that though I have to say that the bbbj from Manila is worth the flight alone - the expertise of the two in question was admirable so to cap it here is a picture of Joy in the lift - the picture does not do her skills justice !!

And who said this was not an informative forum - here is a note that was pm to on my predicament and would recommend to all out there before diving into the undergrowth;-

As a dentist, I recomend a mouth wash; Peridex, or any other generic version of Chlorhexedine Gluconate 1.22% mouth rinse, usualy requires an RX in the US, may be non RX in other countries, but your dentist can get you an rx, since it is also excellent for preventing periodontal disease.

What happened is a very nasty fungus on the back of the throat which came from a fever followed by white pus spots on the throat meaning no drinking or eating without pain !! Dehydration followed and a nice bit of weight loss

Needless to say there was nothing about her to suggest a whiff of the unusual - this is often the case when they have a shower before the business - from memory though this might have been my mistake as once she moved her body the brain was parked in another gear.

Moral of the story - take the above libation before diving and then make sure she has a nice wash before you start !!

Why ruin a nice dive !!

WIR most certainly to both of them this time armed with some precautions !!

Happy New Year to all

Chalky,

Are you quite certain that the illness you contracted was not merely from being on the airplane, and the air quality issues that go along with that? Were your symptoms actually diagnosed by a doctor as an actual STD, or are you saying that the illness was just a bad bug you caught from muff diving, not an STD, but just a communicable illness that is unrelated to sexual contact?

I find that many, many times, after having flown, I catch these same kinds of nasty severe colds/sore throats. But, many times, it is also when I return from a mongering trip during which I enjoy cunnilingus almost everyday.

Here is a case in point. When I came back from the Manila about four weeks ago, several days after my return, I caught a severe sore throat. While I was in Manila, AC, Batam, and Jakarta, I did a lot of muff diving over the course of seventeen days. I did not catch anything until about two days after I returned home. I assumed that because I did not catch anything while traveling, that my sore throat was either caused by muff diving in Manila/AC, my most recent last stops on my mongering trip, or as a result of just being on the return flight for 21 hours. I caught the exact same illness you described. I did eventually take antibotics to get rid of it, and like you, I assumed it must have been from muff diving. But I wonder, because...

A couple of weeks later, after having gotten rid of that severe sore throat, and being free of symptoms from the first sore throat for probably a week or more, I went on another plane ride within the US. During that trip I had NO sexual encounters whatsoever. Shortly after I returned, sure enough, I got another sever sore throat, albeit a slightly different one, without the puss you described. Fact is, I still have it, and have been battling it now for at least 3 or 4 days, choosing to take Azithromiacin because of its severity.

I have always wondered if the source of these sore throats is a result of muff diving, or simply a result of flying on airplanes, which is, IMHO, literally a breeding ground for all kinds of nasty illnesses.

The airlines say that cabin air is better than what is in most buildings, but I wonder if their published claims on the subject are after having tested the cabin air with nobody on board the airplane. Maybe they test the air with no passengers on board so they can claim the air quality on airplanes is good.

They certainly don't want the public to start believing that everytime they fly, they run the risk of not only a terrorist flying the airplane into a building, but also the lesser risk of a bothersome and painful cold and/or sore throat.

The recommendation to use Peridex, or a generic equivalent, is a good one. I have always tried to use mouthwash after muff diving, but never really knew if conventional mouthwashes really had any effectiveness.

I've been told that standard anticeptic mouthwashes would probably not be very effective in preventing disease, but that they can not hurt our cause. But, it sounds like the stronger RX mouthwash would be necessary, and have some measure of effectiveness in solving our problem.

Probably the sore throat you get is by deep kissing or french kissing as they call it.
Don't forget we are not used to hot and dusty weather outside.
It is always better to take a course of antibiotics after your mongering trip.
It will kill all germs you picked up during your trip.

When my friends come to visit me, they almost always develop a case of sore thought, sometimes quite severe. I assume it is because of the weather because I muff dive on a regular basis, and have never had any throat problems. I live out here, so I am used to the weather, or it could be because after so much muff diving, I am just used to whatever it is the girls have down here. After returning from your trip, take 2000 MG of zithromax. It should take care of any bacterial infections you might have picked up. DO NOT TAKE IT WHILE YOU ARE OUT HERE. If you do, and are exposed to something, you can create a resistant infection.

Zithromax was the one to finally clear the throat - mind you he passed it with an additional humdinger that left me nauseous every time I took the tablet - so in future will take the peridex route before going down - would be a shame to lose out on some of Manila's finest.

You are right though tiredness and general fatigue make you more vulnerable and the air in the planes is like their coffee !!

On a point though as one living in Asia is Peridex readily available and not to sound ignorant what is this Rx that you all mention !!

Yep, all the prescriptions in PI will have the "Rx" logo. Moreover a lot of the stuff you can buy OTC in PI has it too. I guess in that case its kind of a suggestion like so many other things in Phils ;)

Tamurlane26

All this technical Rx business has given me a headspin - time to get back to work on the diving and already have some nice candidates in mind for the third week in January.

Loved the long report on the bars in Burgos - on my recent trip back to KL sat next to the sister in law of the owner of Mogambo et al - interesting how he has been steadily increasing his influence on the street. Pity that he has yet to invoke some more quality control in his selections.

Did visit Wild West - and played pool upstairs - some lovely sites up there especially a sweet young thing called Cindy who when she bends over to strike the ball deserves a nice one between the cheeks to complete the picture.

Also any one had Cale of Bottoms ? She puts out in the blow job room - but wont bar fine - interesting how they view this one - thought that quite funny - willing to do a bj in a room full of people and yet unwilling to have the real deal ! Oh well it takes all sorts and her refusal led me to the other nice party - the trick in Bottoms is to bar fine before 7 and get the girl for 1500 pesos and not the usual 3000 - that way more time to dive dive dive !!

Now if any of you have a picture of that sweet young thing that would help my recovery much faster than worrying about Rx and OTC !!

Happy January one and all

Two related questions.

1) Has anyone stayed in the relatively new Hyatt Casino Hotel and can compare it to the Makati-area hotels I have stayed in (Shangrila: excellent, Peninsula: good, Mandarin Oriental: good, Dusit: OK)?

2) I am into picking up "regular" girls, and have found Makati to be good hunting grounds with Conways, Starbucks, SM, Greenbelt, and Glorietta. Is the Baywalk area (walking distance from Hyatt Casino) also good for this kind of pickup of nonprofessionals?

Thanks!

Trav Man,

IMHO, the baywalk tends to be kind of a locals thing. I have hung out for drinks and music and was treated well. But I would be hesitant to try any real "mongering" behaviour. There were ladies there, but coupled up or with what looked like family or co-worker groups. Good luck.

The "new" area across from the domestic airport is dying a slow death. There are only 4 bars that remain open. I saw a total of 4 customers combined in all of them. The quality of the talent is on the slide. Good talent will not stay where there are no custmers to serve. I reckon it is only a matter of time before they all close. I really do not understand why it did not make it. Good location, free parking, etc.

I have survived many trips through the posting on the ISG. I hope that someone familiar with Manila can offer me a few pointers. I will be there for a few days around January 24th and it is my first trip. I will be staying at the Hotel Manila, One Rizal Park, 1099 but I have no clue where that is in relation to the excitement.

Can anyon please advise me on the nearest and best mongering haunts.

Thanks,

Can't beat it imho.Hi Faulk: By walk in brothel do you mean like a casa ? I went to one (casa) on Del Pilar just before you get to LA Cafe ( coming from the Hyatt ). Had about 20 girls, all pretty decent 6's and 7's for 2,000 pesos all night. This was the starting price and I did not negotiate. I walked into this big room then the 20 girls walked in and sat down along this long bench and I was given all the time to pick and choose. Where is the brothel you are referring to - On Pedro Gill, Mabini or Del Pilar ?

Sometimes I prefer going to these places than put up with the bullshit of negotiating at LA Cafe, G-Point, etc.

Thanks.

Try Charterhouse or Oxford Suites would both be in the right range mind you located close to Burgos the temptation might be too much for you !!

A good website for cheap hotels believe it or not is the British Embassy ! They have some good offers and the places are obviously clean as a result of their endorsement - clean in the sense of hygiene !!

Try Cherry Blossoms on J.Bocobo St, very near Robinson's Galleria in Malate (or is it Ermita?)

Try Asiatravel.com for more listings, but Las Palmas (or Palms) on Adriatico St should fit the bill also.

A bit out of the way (not far from Robinson's, maybe 1 KM) is the Paco Park Hotel, but crossing Taft Ave is a hassle anytime of day in a taxi due to traffic.

I can vouch for both CB and Paco Park, having stayed in both.

Gents,

Just a suggestion.
If the ladies you are to meet work in hospitality-related business (hotels etc), they get a good discount in many major hotels in Manila. A friend of mine arranged it when I stayed at the Shangri-La Makati two years back. Sorry, but cant remember what I paid anymore.

The hotels also have a discount for Overseas-workers returning to the RP, staying in Manila for a few days before heading back to the province. Dont know how you can talk your lady in to using such a discount for you when there, if she needs to provide some proof that she is returning from overseas.

Just my 0,02 cents, which can be worth a lot of $$ :)

There has been so much written about this place. Yes, sometimes it's full of hags and hustlers. Sometimes it's so crowded it's claustrophobic. Many a night I walked out and caught a taxi to EDSA.

But don't let anyone tell you it isn't worth a visit.

I've been meaning to do a review for this place. The location is a bit inconvenient, unless you like long sweaty walks involving crossing a death highway.... ( I lose 2 to 5 kilos every time I visit the Philippines....the weather is a perpetual sauna...and then there is the sexercise).

Of course, if you take a taxi just to go two blocks, then the advantages of Paco Park might interest you. The pink room for example...., the pink room is very nice....especially when you have the right company.

Before I go to the trouble to do an extensive review, is anyone interested?

Thanks for posts here...am on my semi-annual swing through Manila and am trying to check things out after a 6-month or so absence. Got two weeks in the Philippines with need to fly out from AC but am trying to decide how to allocate the time.

To add to the hotel discussion, I'm staying at the Soriente Hotel on Flores & Bocobo Streets. It's P1,299/night net and, just recently, accepts credit cards. Advantages: Well-run, big rooms, good price, good location (about 3 blocks north of Robinson's Place, 1 block south of U.N. Avenue). Disadvantages: Some rooms facing Bocobo St. can be noisy (best to get one facing the other side), hotel is older and room furniture could use replacement, and TVs are smallish though cable selection is pretty good. They also STILL don't have a website or even an e-mail, which is why I can usually get a room as a walk-in. I try to hold hotel costs down, so I'm looking for the best-value places in Ermita or Malate. Would also give the Rothman and the Cherry Blossom a look. Have booked the Rothman before over the Internet.

Checked out LA Cafe last night and the upstairs looked depleted compared to years past. The Korean side was full but not bulging, while the band side had quite a bit of extra room. I recognized some of the professionals from earlier trips. Seems the place doesn't get near-full on weekdays 'til after midnight or later, with the cover charge a likely deterrent (even at P100).

Found one that didn't have the mannerisms of a pro...she said it was third visit, she had day job, etc. Above average looks, nice smile, 23. Not too bad on GFE, at least geniunely horny and orgasmic, as it turns out. Didn't ask for money but I paid P1,000 for ST and hope I didn't overpay.

For the LA Cafe girls, am used to P,1000 ST and P1,500 LT from previous trips.

Any intelligence about what bars near the LA Cafe are worthwhile and what ones aren't is appreciated.

In to Manila for a 4-nite visit. With the off-and-on rain showers over the past few days, it is a bit wet but at least it is cool.

Ended up catching up with some old (girl)friends on this trip - one was intentional, the other not. LA Cafe was mighty slow as usual on Tuesday so I ended up going with one of my favorites - Giselle. Being her first customer, she feels a bit sentimental towards me. Coupled with her natural prowess in bed, she provides a unique GFE/PSE experience. Always hangs with her friends in the corner across from the top of the stairs, she can do it all: deep throat BBBJ, FS, anal and CIM/COF is on the menu.

Next night was to catch up with my lovely nursing student Tina. She is perpetually in need of cash and always texting me for a meet-up... this time I gave in and called her up, reminding her to bring her uniform for modelling. The thing that made the evening special was that she asked to see the video that we made previously... I fired up the laptop and showed her, but as soon as she saw all the other files (with girl names), she asked to see the other videos. Tina was totally into it as I showed her some of the more interesting vids... she must have taken it as some kind of challenge, because the performed like a porn star champ... nothing was out of bounds. Same menu as Giselle above, but add on uniform modelling, anal rimming and a couple things too naughty to mention. Even I was screaming awesome.

Had some great massage at Touch of Hands (see my previous report in Makati section). Ask for Grace... she knows how to do a massage right. This place is strictly massage - cheap, clean and professional - no hanky panky.

Some cute things walking around offering massage on P. Burgos. Ran into a bouncy little 19yo with lovely cafe au lait skin, a terriffic smile and a tight little ass. I was too tired to do anything about it, but she would have definitely been worth a try. Also ran into a total freshie at 88 Internet... one of the girls I know was helping her to set up her first e-mail account. She told me that she works at the Shampoo bar... she is so cute and innocent, I'm seriously tempted to bring her back and break her in.

Friday night at LA Cafe is next... yum yum.

That's Manila. AR+

I promised a review of this place. Almost too far to walk to the action, especially on one of those hot sticky days, but it still has a lot going for it. If you are after some regular girls /online girls, a hotel in Ermita is going to sound warning bells. One lady refused to meet me in Ermita. She said she didn’t want to ruin her reputation. Hmmm. Well Paco Park is in Malate and is right next door to Paco Park which is a beautiful little park for a stroll. It has a central courtyard with a nice garden and pool. Good place to invite folks in day time. Some pictures attached of pool and bath.

I stayed in the pink room 316 (2600pesos), and also 315(1900pesos). Both are on the quiet side facing a small road that wraps around Paco Park. Room 316 had an extra layer of glass so it was quieter.

Restaurant has a sports theme, large screen tv, but I wasn’t particularly impressed with the food. It is nice to eat poolside as many people did every day and night.

The bed was a mattress on a board. Too bad, I like the bounce that boxsprings give. Bed and pillow pics attached.

One of the clerks at front desk was really foxy.

Hi Folks,

I have just returned from a three night stay in Manila and wanted to share some of my experiences with you all. I know that I am likely to be considered a failure because I took some short-cuts and paid more that the more experienced mongerer would pay. So don't beat up on me guys. Realize that there are some people who are not the pioneers and adventurers that you are and who sometimes do not have the time to dress down at the end of a busy day and head to the best haunts to really indulge.

This trip was difficult for me because I was based at the Manila Hotel (near the US Embassy) which is a bit away from the main action in Manila. The other problem was that I was not available for fun until after 10.00pm each night. So I opted to retire to my room, order room service and shower while I waited for it arrival.

Before getting to Manila I found a wonderful yahoo club devoted to Lady Dhen who is a warm, beautiful woman who knows how to satisfy her man. We com***icated a few times and made a loose arrangement to have her swing by the night that I arrived.

She came (in every sense) and was even better than her pictures. She was warm, friendly, engaging and a total GFE. She spent the night and we had three sessions in every possible position and all for $80. I know, I know...this is various multiples of what I could have got in Makati but if cabs, drinks etc are all factored in then I think I did quite well. It is less than half what would be needed for a quick souless trip to an AMP in the US.

I saw Lady D on two nights as she was flexible and available at relatively short notice. I am happy to share link to yahoo club and cell phone number to anyone interested.

On the other night I decided to try out Prestigious Escorts. They have a good website and are resonsive to email and text messages. To be honest it was quite late when I finished some work related socializing. I had enjoyed some whiskeys and was feeling rather horny. I sent a text to PE and Joy was back to me in a flash to let me know who was available. I decided to pick Sydney based on her pictures on the website. She arrived and was even better than the web. Young, sweet and is into pleasing her man with a total GFE. I would do it again and again and again (actually I did). Happy to share the website and her cell # to anyone who PMs me.

Not the typical mongering experience for me but worked really well for me.

Sounds like the Born Loser came up a winner this time. I will be in Manila from Wednesday onward next week, and if I can help by taking one or two off your hands, let me know. I cannot help you with the lodgings though, as I almost always stay in the same two or three places, and they are not inexpensive. I could help with the dragging them around to the clubs in Manila, showing them something of the seamy nightlife, and some of the other adventures that they might find thrilling.

Send me a PM if you want to pursue this further. CL is going to be in town, according to one of his posts, so maybe he would pitch in as well.

I am not sure to go to Thailand or Manila. How much are the girls in Manila? They look ok from what I can see in the photos? Bangkok is between $25 to $50 for LT. Depends on which one you find and how you negotiate. Nice thing about the Phils is that they speak English. That would be a nice change. With over 20 hours of flying and a short vacation I do not think that I will make it to the provinces. The last thing I need on a vacation is 5 to 10 hours of more travelling.

Thanks to all the great posters here I was only in Manila for a few days in November and I used the posts to guide me. Being somewhat of a thrifty guy I thought it best to stay in the Ermita Malate area and focus on freelancer bars and street girls. Don't care so much for nightclubs anyway.

First stop - straight to Amazonia on del Pilar and Santa Monica. Now this is my kind of place. Got a standard room there for 1250 peso. It wasn't huge but had cable tv and air conditioning and was clean. They also have deluxe rooms for 1650 that are probably nicer. My standard room didn't have hot water but you don't really need hot water for shower in phil. They also have short time rooms I think for 450. Girl at front desk said most of their business is short time rooms. They can also lock up your valuables at front desk. They have 24 hour food there too and it is very good. Food not so cheap but the drinks are. 60 or 80 peso if I remember correctly.

Amazonia is no where near as busy as LA Cafe. Amazonia was quite busy on Friday and Saturday night with some real hotties and some of lesser quality. By the early hours of the morning there are only a few girls there. After hanging out for quite a while I figured it was time to get some action. Around 4 in the morning I tried to get 1 girl but to my surprise she wouldn't go below 1500 peso. So finally after a couple hours a little hottie came in named Anne and I had better luck with her. 500 peso for short time up in my room. She was well worth it. Later on around lunchtime she came back into the bar and I grabbed her again right away for another 500 peso short time. Fingered her snatch for about 20 mins and then screwed her for about an hour in every position I could think of. Very nice.

Sunday morning was dead at Amazonia. I actually sat there for a couple hours all by myself. Absolutely no customers and no girls. Contrast with LA Cafe which at this time still had lots of people inside. LA seemed busy 24 7. I went in to LA a few times but never seemed to stay too long because it was usually too crowded. Sat down once and right away a mamasan started offering all of her girls to me and she had a lot of girls. Another time I went in early in the morning and walked straight thru to the back wall and sat down. Oddly, no waitress came up and asked me if I wanted a drink. That actually happened twice to me at LA. This is very odd for Philippines because all stores etc. Usually serve or provide service immediately because they really want your money. Anyway, this girl came up and sat down with me. She was thin and cute maybe about 30. I quickly realized she couldn't speak so I started to talk to her using a notepad and pen she had. I could tell that this would be a cheap and hot date. I really wanted to take her back to my room but she kept trying to speak even though she couldn't and could only make these really strange freaky sounds. I started to wonder if she might be completely insane and decided not too take her. Just too freaking weird.

On The Streets - Don't see many posters talking about streetwalkers so here's what I found. There just weren't massive amounts of streetwalkers when I was there. Not what I would expect in a huge city in such a poor country. Walking up and down del Pilar from Santa Monica to Quirino I could always find something but would never find more than a couple in any one place. There would usually be a couple around LA Cafe and maybe a bit to the east of that. Area around LA Cafe seemed to have a few pimp types hanging around and that always seems to turn me off. Oddly enough, del Pilar and the streets around there look safer in the night than they do in the daytime perhaps because they are not as crowded at night and they are all well lit. You will also see an occasional policeman at night but they are very rare in the daytime. Wouldn't suggest going down any dark alleys but I walked miles and miles all over Ermita and Malate and was never hassled by anybody although my rough grasp of Tagalog probably helped. There are streetwalkers in the Ermita area on the area north of del Pilar but quite a few of them seem to be ladyboys so you might want to ask if you are not sure. Also, don't wear sandals if you are out at night. I saw about 100 rats just ***ching away on the curb at Mabini street 1 morning about 3 a. M. Quoted prices on the street varied but there are some lo rent hos out there. I had 1 girl quote me 400 peso she was a little bit cute and 40 y. O. But she was obviously pretty spaced out.

Second Stop - Harrison Mall Area Stayed at Aloha Hotel on Roxas which is within walking distance of Harrison Mall. Got a very large room at the back of the motel for 1800 peso which was both air conditioned and had hot water. Lots of motels in area including Sogo which also has short time rooms and cheaper rooms. Now, Harrison Mall is like well, streetwalkers in a mall. Most of them are upstairs, especially towards the amusement arcade area. These seem to be mostly freelancers, there are more upstairs but a lot of them seem to be pimped and I just don't like these pimp types. If you hang around the railing girls will come up to you or if you walk around a fair bit you can tell which girls are working and which girls aren't. Girls seem to ask for 1000 peso or maybe less short time. They also seem to be hungry so you may do yourself a favour by buying them something to eat first. Jolibee downstairs is quick and cheap. Walking around upstairs I spied Marika, 27 maybe a 7 and offered her 700 to come back to my room short time. Her English wasn't the best and she had trouble understanding that a condom had to be used at all times. Twice I had to grab her head to keep my unprotected unit out of her mouth, sure did appreciate her enthusiasm though. She sucked me nice and hard and then I have her a good, long screw. Had a nap and then a repeat, love the way she just sucked me hard and climbed on top. Seems that the girls there are a bit surprised when you screw them for a half an hour or an hour straight I guess most customers don't go that long. Anyway, when done Marika said she was hungry, I didn't feel like feeding her so I have her a 100 tip and said she could leave and get something to eat. She wasn't too happy with 800 but took it and left. A few hours later the front desk called up and said Marika was here to visit me. I guess she wasn't too unhappy with the 800 after all. I asked them to send her away as I knew I wouldn't be there long and wanted some more variety. Next day found Riza at Harrison who was 32 and maybe also a 7. She asked for 500-700 short time but I ended up keeping her long time and gave her 1200. She gave real good head and she also got a good hour long screw. I think she liked the fact that I was clean and tidy because in the middle of the BJ she started licking my ass and gently rimming it. Baby, I glady give you 1200 for licking my ass, thank you. One afternoon at Harrison 3 girls came up to me together and wanted to do me for 1000 each. They were pretty young girls but they kind of caught me off-guard as I was a bit worried about raising eyebrows at the Aloha Hotel and also about keeping an eye on 3 girls in my room at the same time. I passed on them, but maybe next time.

Hopefully make it back to Phil later this year and will be reading this great forum before I go.

John05,

Having spent quite a bit of time in both cities recently, I vote for Bangkok. IMHO, both prices and service are better. Prices for reasonable quality in Manila can be 2,500 - 3,000 pesos from the bars and 1,000 pesos from freelancers. Most Thai pros can speak enough English to get by.

Just my POV.

OAH

I am not sure to go to Thailand or Manila. How much are the girls in Manila? They look ok from what I can see in the photos? Bangkok is between $25 to $50 for LT. Depends on which one you find and how you negotiate. Nice thing about the Phils is that they speak English. That would be a nice change. With over 20 hours of flying and a short vacation I do not think that I will make it to the provinces. The last thing I need on a vacation is 5 to 10 hours of more travelling.

Looks like a spate of hotel-rate increases in Manila recently (in fact, maybe the whole country). Place I was staying at is now P1,349, up from P999 just two years ago. Some of it is no doubt blamed on the VAT, which went up by 2% on Feb. 1. But supply/demand is also letting them get away with it, as places all over the PI aren't nearly as built-up as Thailand and other better-established tourist destinations. So it doesn't take much of a tourism increase to fill the places out.

With L.A. Cafe and Amazonia it helps to scope out the place a lot at first, even if you aren't in a heavy take-out mode. Many of the girls are real pros and show up night after night, sometimes even on the same "turf" (like it was a lunchroom in high school!) The main complaint about L.A. I hear is that the pros and hardened older ones have become too dominant in the mix, but I think Amazonia can also be prone to that at times and L.A. Cafe still has a lot of volume. The upstairs at L.A., with the Korean section and the band section and P100/150 cover charges most nights, is less hectic than it once was and easy for getting a seat now. But also fewer girls on the band side (though still some). The downstairs main area can be uncomfortably crowded a lot of the time (though the crowds make it harder for the "mamasans" to operate (not that you really need one anyway, and they certainly don't work for the bar!)

A few other places in the area, like Butterfly Bar (near Amazonia), Stringfellow's (across from L.A.) and another further up del Pilar whose name escapes me are operating on a barfine model, where the girls work for the bar and you have to pay a certain amount in lady drinks to be able to take the girl out. You can be looking at P1,000-2,500 for the bar (1,000-1,500 most typical) and 1,500 to 3,000 for the girl. Given the price comparison with the freelance spots, I'd say you have to be pretty taken with the girl to pay the premium. A few are real stunners, though, and prices are in line with Pasay and the EDSA entertainment complex.

Personally, am finding that if L.A. Cafe can keep me supplied with good girls at P1,000-1,500 total, I'm not motivated to head to Angeles as quickly. Would have been unthinkable 7 years ago that Manila could take time away from Angeles on a trip, but if Manila can hit the same ballpark on price, then advantages on restaurants, bookstores, movies, malls, etc., all in walking or taxi distance (also: no trikes!) loom larger, asthe rap on Angeles has lways been "nothing to do during the day" (less so than ever, but still much more so than Manila).

As for Bangkok, IMO it has come a long way down, in large part due to crackdowns. On the business side you've still got B600 + 1,000 (though they'l try for 1,500-2,000) in damage from the bars and same thing minus the barfine from Thermae's. But the freelance places are shadows of their former selves, and crackdowns on closing times and nudity have also squeezed the life out of many places (somewhat deliberately, perhaps). If you saw it 7 years ago and were just coming back you'd be very discouraged by all the changes. Pattaya has not quite had the same damage and has later hours and more places with "showing"; you won't save money vs. Bangkok if you do take-out from the go-gos, but if your time is limited that still might be the way to go, as hunting in the beer bars or on the beach road can be time-consuming if you're selective.

Hi Guys,

Booked my first trip to the Phils yesterday, four days only, will be arriving tomorrow. Just done my "homework". Ie., reading the ISG.

Disco's:
The below listing I found on the web. Could anyone perhaps tell if any on the list will be good for a visit? The Ambassador hotel (Ermita/Malate) seems to be having a revolving disco with bayview, is this place worthwile checking out?

Freelancers:
Am not to keen on barfine type of deal, so after some reading, I understand that LA Cafe and Amazonia are the best places for checking freelancers. However, I also read that it might better to save these for Sunday, Monday, etc. nights as the girl ratio will be higher than Fridays/Saturdays. Outside these venues, are there any other that are good for freelancer pick up? G-Point perhaps? Starbucks at Greenbelt3? Any other?

Mall hunting:
Robinson's and Harrison Plaza?

Pharmacies:
Something else -perhaps a tiny bit outside the usual- I read on an another website that as there seems to be quite some uncovered action, some areas have a high instance of chlamydia. The odd uncovered BBBJ won't be unthinkable, are there any pharmacies selling antibiotics like azithromycin without prescription?

Many thanks, cheers.

Thanks for the disco list. There's also a dance floor at Hard Rock Cafe in Makati. Also, some of the bar girls told me about a place in Ermita. Forgot the name...texas...cow boy??? There is a place in Malate with the same name. Never been to either and don't remember any reviews being posted here.

As for LA cafe, check it our in the late afternoon before it gets crowded. You can sometimes find a diamond in the rough. But...one girl I had in the afternoon apparently had a curfew. Well, that's what she said anyway.

With only four days I'd say get your butt to EDSA and pay the bar fine.

Came into town last week. Taxi took me for a ride to a bar. Girls were young, got myself a cute one for $50.00 a day. I use to pay $11 to $15 a day, what happened? End up she was to immature and sent her back. Was boring anyways, she barely put out. Got another taxi driver and he took me to a better place. Lined up about 20 girls I spoke to them and told them what I wanted. Told them if there not interested in pleasing me to leave, that was cool because some of them did. Anyways got a really, really pretty girl. She dressed nice, wore makeup, nice rings on her hands too. She was a nice girl and she respected my wishes which was fucking. She loved it too. I really like her except would like a little more wild girl. Here is some nic pics of the girls, beautiful, beautiful that's why I keep coming back!!

Joel,

My two cents:

-LA Cafe is hit and miss. Quantity is there but the quality is hard to find at times. Pay P100/150 and check out the upper section. This is called the "Korean" section due to the high number of Korean visitors. A friend of mine who went upstairs told me that he felt discriminated because most of the girls ignored him. The Koreans have cast their spell on the girls.

-G Point is a good choice. For best selection, visit on different days and time.

-You may have better luck at Harrison Plaza. Dont rush and select the first one! Take your time and be prepared for a *little* bargaining.

-If you are going to the Greenbelt area, I recommend a visit to "Cafe Havana". Grab a table outside, sip a beer and be prepared to make eye contact. Visit after 7 PM for best results. If a table is not available outside, go inside and tell the waiter/host to give you the next available table.

Do let us know your trip goes. Good Luck!

G Point is ok but selection is not as grande as LA Cafe. There were no girls at G Point when i walked in at 3.30pm but when i left around 4.45 it has maybe 20 freelancers.
Amazonia again is ok but not as plentiful supplied as LAC.

Butterfly rocks can be fun, barfine is 1600p plus tip. Ladt drinks are 210p.

Stringfellows I have never liked, but go and have a look.

LAC, my gf works there on the groundfloor and she refers it as "my office". Well out of six appearances a week she might get 2-4 hits. 3 is her average.

We are in Angeles together and guys there is some very tasty totty here.

Tomorrow im going to Cebu alone for three nights (hopefully GF monthly cycle has arrived by then) so should have something to report on that wonderful city but staying in cheap digs.

Then 3 final nights in Manila with GF before going to Jakarta for a nice diversion on the way home.

LA Cafe and G-Point are within *walking* distance of each other. LA Cafe is a bar with a live band on weekends (upstairs in the "Korean" section). You dont have to pay a "bar fine" for the girl. You negotiate and pay the girl directly. Be prepared to bargain. LA Cafe is on M.H. Del Pilar St in Ermita.

In G-Point you will have to pay a bar fine. G- Point is on Padre Fauna between A. Mabini and M. Adriatico. To give you a landmark, it is one block away from Lotus Garden hotel on Padre Fauna.

For Harrison Plaza (Mall) take a taxi. The driver will know where this is. Or get a map of Ermita/Malate area. You will see this mall featured on the map. Be sure that the taxi driver charges you based on meter reading. Be sure to ask as soon as you get into the cab. This is more of an issue after 10 PM at night.

Great - thanks, BKKguru. I'll post some reports later.

GPoint, went there last nite for the first time. Much smaller and less busy than LA Cafe, yesterday it had a nice small selection of freelancers available. Left after a few drinks to walk over to LA via Amazonia. On my way, stumbled across a couple of young good looking street walkers on Mamimbi (?) road. Later I saw the same girls again in LA Cafe.

Harisson Plaza, haven't visited there yet, mainly because the ample selection of pussy available around the hotel I'm staying in.

Thanks!

It is on the other side of the park next to Aristocrat on Roxas Bl. But, why would you want to go there? A driver once took us there because we wanted to listen to music and didn't know where to go. The entertainment was average and it looked like a bunch of driver-type people in there.

However, the driver was propositioned several times by girls and pimps while waiting for us. I've walked through the park and had several propositions but never really looked at the girls.

Hi Bill,

I was in Cowboy Grille last Monday nite, but only for about 15 minutes. It's a spacious Music Bar/Live band restaurant that caters mainly for the locals.

Dosug already has given the address - its on the corner of Mabini and Arquiza in Emrita, only a block away from Robinson's Plaza.

At the time I was there, there were only locals dining/drinking at tables and listening to the Live band. I could not see of any action, but that might have to do with the time of my visit, ie. Monday nite at 10.30 pm.

Perhaps when the tables get cleared in the middle section on the ground floor and the place changes into more of a Bar/dancing kind of venue, things might be quite different!

Cheers,

X

X, I stayed in Bayview Park Hotel, Ermita.

-

Mattrick,

I might as well post my reply here.

I booked the hotel via http://www.asiatravel.com for 75 US per nite for a suite. Maybe a little on the expensive side - another guy I met in the plane going to Manila was staying at the same hotel for only half the price, US$ 37 for a standard room. Maybe he found a cheaper website, asiatravel quotes for the standard room US$ 45.

Bayview is a good hotel, has friendly staff and great coffees, ie. it has a Starbucks on the ground floor. Another good thing about it is its central location and proximity to the Ermita nitelife. A lot of the action - the freelancer bars and other - is only within 5 to 10 minutes walking from the hotel. Also the Swagman hotel is just round the corner of it, where you could book possible trips to Angeles.

When I arrived the first night I was a bit wary of the fact that the hotel did not have any in-room safes. It has safety deposit boxes -they give you a key- at the reception for the most important stuff like passports, but what about expensive handphones?

I hid the thing somewhere in the room before I went out the first time, but as it turned out, it was no prob at all having someone over LT. The security at night is excellent. They record the ID and roomnumber of any girl before she enters the hotel and also the reception takes a note. When the girl is leaving, security calls back and ask you politely if it is okay for her to leave.

Mind you, they only to these security readings at nite time. When i brought girls in during the daytime, no ID's were taken. So I guess, if you are stayin at this hotel and you don't trust the girl, don't fall asleep during the daytime or sleep in big time!

I'll attach a pic.

One more thing, I had not visited Manila before, but I deliberately choose for this hotel because I wanted to stay at a central location in Ermita. Having seen the action in both Ermita and Makati now, my perception is that Ermita -compared to Makati- is more the rougher end of town. For more upmarket entertainment, in terms of quality of the girls/prices/etc., Makati will be a better choice.

Cheers,
Joel

Hey X, some additional pharmacy info.

Thanks to Hobby's reply, I asked around for Mercury drugstore. I found one close to the hotel, on TM Kalaw. That's the road that runs parallel to UN ave.

At the counter I simply asked for the antibiotics I wanted, a single dose of Zithromax and Ciproxin, and also asked for a tablet Viagra. Got it all, no prescription, no questions asked!

The Viagra tablet, 50mg, cost me 615 Pesos. I also asked the price for Cialis, and was quoted 700 Pesos.

In one of the bars, the price for a package of Cialis costs 1,200 Pesos. A street seller quoted me for a same package 300 Pesos, but I find that price hard to believe. Rather prefer to buy it at Mercury, eventhough it is more expensive.

Funny thing was, when I checked at Watson drug, at Mabini/Padre Faura, they did not want to sell Cialis/Viagra without a prescription!

Bill, the girls will be able to tell you, no doubt.

I think the Sogo will cost you 200 Pesos, but I haven't been there.

Amazonia hotel, across the road from LA Cafe, has rooms upstairs. The rooms are 550 for 3 hours, are clean and have shower and TV. These rooms are actually quite nice for a ST hotel.

Amazonia has also what they call VIP rooms, but there is absolutely nothing "VIP" about it. No bed, only chairs/couch and a lousy bathroom. I think these rooms cost 300 pesos.

There's another short time hotel available, on Mabini. Pls see my post in the photo gallery. Costs 450, clean but no shower in the room.

If you don't mind spending an extra 100 Pesos, it might be better to choose a ST room in Amazonia.

Only problem with Cowboy Grill is that they only serve San Mig in large bottles or pitchers, no small bottles like us foreigners enjoy swiging out of.

Im staying at Bayview hotel on Saturday for my last three nights. Will be with my gf so safes are not an issue. Got a superior room for $60.00.

My gf sister was in a jeepney going home to Quezon City from la cafe last night and the jeepney got held up. She lost her cellfone (1 week old) and 7k pesos.

Went to this shorttime hotellast week. very clean and cost was about 600p for 3 hours. The stime hotel was called Victoria Court.

Now in Cebu and the crumpet here looking very pleasing to the eye. I think the filopino guys here are uglier than their manila counterparts. No wonder the girls want a foreigner.

Hi, Joel:
Thanks for your posts. The information is precise and helpful.

I would not buy tablets on the street. Based on earlier posts, I believe they are fake.

The Viagra price of 615 P converts to US$12. That is expensive. Are you suggesting Mercury will sell *one* pill only?

Hey X, some additional pharmacy info.

Joel.

Guru,

I agree, 12 US is a bit expensive for one pill.

I bought it at Mercury for the same reason as you mention, just to avoid fakes and hassling on the streets.

I asked only for one pill. I guess for that price -the 12 US- they will be happy to sell many.

Cheers,
Joel.

I went to Mercury Drug on Osmena and bought one of those tablet cutters. cost 170p. Better than trying to cut with a knive.

Do all Mercury drugstores sell Cialis without script.

You can find both individual Rose Pharmacies and Mercury Drugs that will sell without prescription, but not all of them will do so. I've found that you're usually better off waiting until a man is available behind the counter, though I've found some women working in the pharmacies who were willing to sell it without script as well. Fortunately, there are so many pharmacies in Manila that you're likely never to be very far from one that will accommodate your needs for Cialis or Viagra.

I bought some C and V off the street in Angeles awhile back and compared it to some some stuff I had taken over. The stuff off the street worked fine...even better on some days then the original stuff I carried over. Of course my research was biased because I was shaggin' a different piece of ass every day, and then again a different piece of ass that same night. I'll try shaggin' some old, ugly, and fat western women to see if my research holds true...or not!

There is a 24 hour pharacy around the corner from Burgos that sells both. If you are coming from Buendia (Puyat), right before you get to Burgos there is a restaurant that sells the meat on the sticks. There is a small pharmacy right next to it (to the right if you are facing it) with a counter. Just ask them for it and they will give it to you. I don't know the prices because I've never bought it but my BIL goes there all of the time.

I read on a website, that sometimes some action can be found in Robinson's plaza.

Went there last weekend to check it out, but could not see of any. It looks very similar to mall hunting as anywhere else in Asia, requiring a good nose and some available time to invest, I guess. Didn't have any luck and unfortunately lacked time.

Here are some pics of girls I had drinks and a chat with, nothing else. They just smiled at me as they were passing by and when I smiled back they were too happy to join for a drink.

No freelancers, just ordinary girls. I was attracted by the second set of girls at McD. The one in the foreground worked at a travel agent and wanted to come with me back to my hotel. Talking to her however, she looked a bit high in maintenance and as I had plans to go to Makati that nite, I politely said no.

3 per week seems a low but fair hitrate. I guess that will be the avarage for many freelance girls working in LA/Amazonia/Gpoint?

Making a quick calculation - 3 hits at 1500, will be 4500 Pesos. So say, the average pretty freelancer earns around 5000 Pesos per week in the freelance cafes? That's around 100 USD per week. Will that be a fair estimate?

How would this compare to Makati bar earnings?

Cheers,
Joel.

I stayed several days at Amazonia, My buddy stayed there a couple weeks. It is not only a short time, but you can stay longer. The rooms are real clean, furnishings new. I think the desk has decent security. If you want to be in the middle of the action for cheap, this would be your place. The real drawback is the rooms are LOUD! sometimes it sounds like a Jeepny is driving right thru your room, crank up the TV, bring earplugs to sleep. Shades dont really darken room either, so I slept with sunglasses on after I partied hard. Also, you go right thru the bar to get to your room, so some of your earlier conquests may see who you come and go. But if youre looking for a clean place to crash, shower and shag, you cant beat the price.

Me and my mates stayed at Swagman a few days and I got a real nice room but my buddy got a room with cold tile floor with a 13" TV across the room. Same price so YMMV. I was joking that he needed binoculars to watch TV haha

Passed through Manila Thursday morning. The SFO flight arrrived early, 4:30 am and my connecting flight was at 12:00. Called (woked up actually) a friend who works at Star Trek and she was more than glad to meet. She picked me up at the airport at 5:30 am and we went to Victoria Court. (MOTEL RATE 1650 PHP for 5 hours.) Had a shower and jacuzzi with my friend, and it was a great refresher to be bathed, sucked and fucked... She was a great BBBJ girl, 22, cute, petite and was a great cowgirl too.
Was it 3 or 4 rounds of "waking up sex"? Left Victoria 9:30 am very awake and refreshed, gave my friend 1,500 PHP, and off i went to catch my transit flight. I love Manila.
