Re LAC, my last few times in 2 months ago jostled up good results. I had jetlag, and found myself wide awake 10 pm-11 am, so I'd go out around midnight (or considerably later), and waltzed thru LAC midnight-5 am range several nights. The place was packed nightly at that time, easily 150+ girls. You could find a dozen or so girls nightly that would probably be eye-candy to any man. However I eat breakfast at LAC about once a week when I stay in Malate (dunno why). Long-time habit. Ate there twice that week. I like the place. Oddly, I've walked out several times over the years when they took 30+ minutes to bring me my omelette (or such) mid-morning when there were almost no customers (and no reason to take 30 minutes to make an omelette -- unless they are dispatching a courrier to the farm for eggs). Yet, I return. And you're right, the food quality is so-so at best. One of my other fav low-brow places in Malate is on Adriatico, about 3 doors north of Manila Bayview Mansion residences in the Korean district. Next to the condo is a Coffee Bean / Tea, and next to that is a pinoy foods place. Cheap blue plastic tables and chairs. A value-menu with half a dozen plated breakfasts: Chicksilog, tapsilog, hotdogsilog, and so on. Each with rice and ice tea, p60 (about as cheap as it gets). Open to the elements with rain blowing in. Loud music and basketball replays on the TV screen. I'm usually the only gringo in the place, and its packed with locals at 5 am onwards who are drinking buckets of beer. This includes the PYT who have just finished their shifts at the Korean bars across the street, who are there buying food / drink for their friends or BF.

There are two bars on Burgos on the Kalayaan end where I spend a lot of time. In one bar there are about 15 relatively young / pretty girls and a LOT of nawty activity. Not long ago there were maybe two of them across the street from each other on Romero-Salas. Now there's just one, on the south side of the street. But, even if they're open for breakfast, do you really want meat shaved from a sheep's leg for breakfast? As ED points out, there's always the minimart hotdogs. And they have a small selection of other things you can heat up in the microwave. Adriatico restaurants are mostly not open for breakfast, except McDo at the corner of Adriatico and Pedro Gil. Yummy, but more than 100 meters.

I think there's still a little place kitty corner from LAC across Del Pilar--as long as you're satisfied with rice and sinigang soup for breakfast. I checked on another place a block south of LAC on the same side of the street, but walked out abruptly when I saw the food in front of other customers.

I've been searching for info on SW action outside of Ermita and P. Burgos. I was able to dig up older reports on street action around Carriedo, near the LRT and up Rizal Ave. It seems the area caters mostly to locals but there were a few brave mongers among the forum posters who occasionally ventured there. The posts are from 2011 and the latest was from around 2016. There are only a few but enough info to go off on.

Back in 2014/15, I visited the area and was surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. On a Thursday evening about 6 pm, I decided to checkout the Carriedo area SWs. Despite it being rush hour, passenger traffic on the LRT (P12) wasn't too bad at all and was quite tolerable. To get to Carriedo Station, I walked (about 15-20 min) from my hotel up Gil Pedro and Taft Ave. I took the northbound LRT train (at Gil Pedro Station) and got off 3 stops later at Carriedo. Once on the ground, I became disoriented somewhat and ended up walking through the market place on Carreido St. Which turned out to be a nice surprise and a welcome break from the norm.

The market place on Carriedo St. Runs from Rizal Ave to the Quiapo Church, located at the end of the street. I found this to be a very interesting place filled with, street vendors, clothing stores, restaurants and budget shopping malls selling a wide range of goods and services. It was around 9:30-10:00 pm now and while walking up Rizal Ave to Recto Ave, I noticed only a few SWs. There were about 12, so not as many as I thought would be working.

On my 2nd visit however, in 2015, I found there were a lot more SWs (most seem to come out to play after it gets dark) and did see a few cute gems here and there, once I was willing to wade through the mud, as it were. Keep in mind, many SWs seemed problematic (ie., weird, strange, possibly drugged-up, unkept, desperate...etc), in one way or another, so take care when picking.

Long story short, Carriedo area is a pretty good place to pickup trinkets, do some soul searching / praying, find inexpensive electronic phones / tablets...etc (on Rizal Ave and Recto Ave), real and knock-offs and last but not least, low end SWs and cheap motel accommodations by the hour. Not necessarily for those who have queasy stomachs, but I've seen far worse in some places around the world. I would recommend it, I had lots of fun, but just leave early if you're the overly cautious type.

Thanks to those who gave input on my SW query around Carriedo. I've stayed in the Philippines before for several months at a time and had some good times with streetwalkers in Cebu, I thought it would be something to check out while in in town. Must try! They have an Entry + Massage deal for 850 and Entry + Massage + Scrub deal for 1200. I picked the latter. Its a Japanese-style spa and you undress completely in the sex-segregated wet area. I was a little skeptical of being naked around other men but it was no big deal. On the contrary, I found it particularly relaxing to be completely naked without any sexual angle. Makes you feel human again. They have a cold water pool (more like a big tub), a hot water pool, and another very hot water pool. There is a sauna and steam room and a room where they do the scrubs. The hot pools were actually really hot, and so were the sauna / steam. The scrub was strictly okay (barely 15 minutes) and was done by a guy in the mens' wet area. The massage was in the common massage room (you dress up in the shorts and shirt they give you) and was excellent. Probably the best massage I have had in the Philippines. They also have a smoking lounge and an excellent sleeping room with leather recliner. I laughed the previous night when a saleswoman told me that I could sleep in there because I didn't get the point of paying to sleep when I have a nice hotel room. But after the massage and before the second stint in the wet area, the sleep area was perfect. They give you a blanket and hot or cold tea for free, or you can order a drink. Strongly recommended place to relax. The mild irritant was that the masseuse, scrub fellow, and helpers all ask for a tip. I am happy to tip for good service (like the masseuse) but reject the "I am here so you have to tip me" mindset.

Abacca Massage.

Has been described before on the forum. I took the 80 min signature massage (1,200 pesos) and it was actually a good back massage followed by a light "prostate massage" - more like running fingers through my butt crack and touching the taint. And then on the flip you get a regular hand job. Overall it wasn't noteworthy but wasn't bad either. I like massage places where release is a part of the regimen and I really dislike places that make you wear those silly shorts! So, I might return for a good massage when I am in town next. Good reliable place for 1,200. Very clean, professional, and no tips expected.

OK, I took one for the team! I did a lot of research but couldn't find a detailed review on Geisha Massage, or any of the other Nuru Nuru Massage places in Manila, on ISG, or other forums. I stopped by in the day time and was quoted 2,000 for the 90 min session. No masseuses were available and I was asked to come after 6 pm. Decided to check it out on my last night in Manila. Went there around 8:30 pm and was quoted 2,500 pesos. I insisted that online reviews say 2,000 and they agreed to the price. They confirmed that the actual massage time was 60 minutes, and the 90 minutes starts the minute you enter the room. I arrived in Manila Thursday night, first time back in 11 months. I've had several opportunities to visit, but something always popped up. I walked off my JAL flight from NRT at 1015 pm (Terminal 1) and actually got in the quick immigration line for once. I didn't check any bags, so I hit the ATM, got load for my phone, hopped right into a white taxi who used his meter, got to Midas Hotel and Casino in about 15 minutes (fare was 120 pesos) where I shat, showered and shaved. I was walking into EDSA Entertainment an hour and 15 minutes after I deplaned, around 11:30. It was a great start to the trip.

At that time of the night, most of the girls had already been picked over. Cotton Club is closed and being refurbished. The mamasan in Pit Stop said the girls had dispersed to Malate and Greenbelt, and that the bar was sold to the owner of Pit Stop. I didn't find any girl that suited my taste in Pit Stop, Fire House or Bullets and Arrows. Casino had more girls than normal. There are now two Karaoke bars with hostesse, which I naturally gave a pass. The last bar I visited was Sharrazas, which is up a flight of stairs. I picked a girl that was energetic and appeared to be happy, for a lady drink, and it turned out to be a great choice. She was 19 with a two year old daughter already but I would have never have guessed that because she had a tight body. You pay the bar 2000 php but the girls are asking 2500 for short time now. I might have been able to bargain down to 2000 but I can afford an extra $10 and bargaining may have ruined her performance. (If I was Mr E, she would have naturally paid me to take her out).

I returned Friday night shortly after they opened at 7:30 but the choice of girls was not much better. Packs of our East Asian friends were out in force, walking into bars and turning around if they saw nothing appealing. I have a hard time doing that and usually buy a drink before I leave. You have to get there early before the packs claim the good ones. I found a cutie that they had looked over in Pit Stop (maybe because she was only 4-11 tall, haha). 21, worked there for a month after moving from Mindanao, and cheeful. I have to say, a good attitude goes along way to distinguish a girl from her sour puss coworkers. She had the smoothest skin, firm boobs although not very big. I go for shape over size, anyway, and she was very accommodating back in my room. She will be a repeat.

I've said this before, but if my job and compensation depended on my looks, I would definitely take better care of myself. There were an abundance of girls with guts who would have been cute if they would just exercise some. My last two posts were about my experiences in Carriedo area and La Cafe, I noticed they ran a bit long so I'll try to keep this short.

Other than the mentioned places above, I also tried P. Burgos, although I did not spend too much time there. Lots of lookers, prices were a bit high but not unreasonable, all the annoying mamasan approaches and negotiations were a bit of a deterrent for me. I'm glad some found my recent Carriedo reports useful. Most of that was based on stuff I found here from a few years ago. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Just to add, I was also at a strip joint on Recto, after turning in from Quezon ave. There are two or three of them with touts outside. There was no entrance fee but I was there during the day, I don't know if it's different at night. It was 120 for two unopened san mig pilsens. Girls are not terrible, they actually had tall ones, around mid 30's but with flabby stomachs and thick legs I'm not really into. Mostly just standing and dancing on the stage. Some were good though. One even did proper stripping on the pole, hanging off it and doing some acrobatic moves landing on the stage in a split.

Quiet crowd of locals during the day, around four of the eight or nine tables were occupied. I don't know if the girls can be barfined or what the system is, I did see one or two talking to some of the guys at their tables, I politely waved off the first one that came by because I wanted to get settled. Nobody else came to my table in the 25 minutes or so that I was there. If you are in a rich mentality you can try Burgos street in Makati. Plenty of good looking girls there. It is high end. A night will cost upwards of 15000 pesos. But it depends on what your objective is.

If it is just there to drink and socialize with the dancers then yes they are in great abundance in malate.

Had a great time in Manila for six days. Stayed closer to airport and initially thought stay would be too dry. But luckily got two friendly drivers (Eric and Geo) who showed me around the city and it's night life everyday. The deal is I would pay them 1000 peso and they will take me around, show me the places, hang out with me and assist in getting contacts and finally drop me back in the hotel after 3 hours. I can say that staying near airport is not that bad if you have time and willing to shell out a bit extra. Having a local with you at times help in exploring new places. Will come soon.

Further advice on how to meet and have a good time with the younger crowd will be appreciated!There are two trains of thought regarding meeting online. First is establish contact then (video) chat a couple of weeks before arriving to establish a rapport and intentions. The second is wait until you are in country then make your first contact pointing out that you are in town and would like to meet today / tonight. Personally I use the second as it has a much higher success rate and less drama (requests for money, no shows etc) but YMMV.

Which App to use depends on what you want. Pina Love, Filippino Cupid and Date is Asia are the first rung. Lots of average girls in your age range and the odd diamond in the rough with looks, smarts and low maintenance. Tinder has more lookers and Seeking Arrangement has more smarts. Do a search for a Soho hotel in the area where you are hunting, they have a good reputation. There is one close to EDSA Entertainment in Pasay. I went to the counter and asked if the bus was going to the Marriott. He said it leaves in 5 minutes. I was the only one in the bus. The driver dropped me off at the Marriott and I summoned a Grab.

No Grabs available. Besides that, it was giving a price of 377. I walked out to the street and saw someone getting out of a white taxi. I told him I was going to Ermita. Traffic was really bad, but despite that, the meter read 151 when I reached my hotel. I gave him 200. That is the cheapest I have ever paid. I don't know who mentioned that Resorts World shuttle years ago but it has really been a life saver lately.

There are plenty of short term hotels where you can pay by the hour. SNIP Do a search for a Soho hotel in the area where you are hunting, they have a good reputation. There is one close to EDSA Entertainment in Pasay. I've never had the need to use a ST hotel so I can't provide much more info.Also Eurohotel has a ST rate. And you might want to read back a few weeks ago some gents were talking about taking SW in the Divisoria / Quiapo area to ST places.

Got here and as usual the airport was a mess. I have been arranging almost all of my inbound and outbound NAIA flights to land or depart on Sundays. Traffic is very light. Once I found an $877 USD flight on Korean Airlines across the pond, arriving Sunday late morning. Another flight on China Southern was $624, arriving Monday late morning. Given: $250 price difference; Sunday traffic good; Monday traffic bad; and better service and much better seat pitch on KAL, the no-brainer for me was KAL (could be different for other gents).

In fact I have been arranging all of my flights within Phils for Sundays. A trip might look like: Long-bow flight arrives NAIA on a Sunday, stay 2 weeks Manila. Depart for Butuan on a Sunday, stay 2 weeks Mindanao. End that leg by departing from Surigao on Sunday for Cebu. Stay 2 weeks in Cebu and depart on Sunday for Manila. Spend 1 week Manila and depart for home on a Sunday. Oh my, traveling to / from airports (esp Manila / Cebu) on Sunday is so much simpler considering troppik. Not only is traffic better in those cities, there seem to be plenty of taxi's.

Of the big 4 (Air China, China Eastern, China Southern, Hainan), I have heard the best things about Hainan, and more recently about China Southern. I have not heard such great things about Air China or China Eastern. There's also China Airlines by the way, which is based in the ROC (Taiwan).

I usually get off at the first stop which is Belmont Hotel. Sometimes there are taxis lined up there. During peak hours there are no taxis lined up. I tip the guard 50 pesos and he will run out to the main street and literally commander a taxi. I have seen him hop in a reluctant taxi and command him to the hotel.

I have been to quite a few KTV places in malate, but not kuma.

There are many different formats (pricing structures) of KTV's, and it differs from what is provided inside. The good thing is that you can just ask your girl, and she will tell you. If not you can do a precheck, and just go there unannounced. Just walk casually by, and stop and look in. Once you do that they will immediately try to get you to go in showing you pictures, of what they have to offer. You can ask them exactly what the cost is per hour and what you will receive. Although prices differ among all the KTV's, the one thing I know that is common is that they charge you by time (hour). So you can find out exactly how much it will cost you for 1 hour.

I cannot give you recent pricing, as the last time I was in a KTV in malate was 2018 and it was 600 per person per hour all you can drink. If you want to buy a girl a drink (to come sit with you) it was 350. But that was a straight forward KTV place that charged you by the hour and all drinks were included, and you did not have to buy any girl time. Some KTV's put the girl time charge into the hourly rate, so it will be higher (these places just rotate your company) and you need to watch the drinks being served at your table, as it adds up fast.

KTV joints are fun because they have super good looking girls there, but if you work out a deal to get the girl out she finishes work at 3 am or 4 am, its a long time to wait.

Keep in mind that these KTV's are modeled after Japan KTV's not China KTV's. So most of the girls do not go out (you can check with the senior girl there and she will tell you who will and won't go out). The KTV bars and the girls money are made from the drinks.

You might be able to get a feel for the girl you are chatting with, just tell her you have never been to a KTV before, and don't know anything about it and ask her how much money you should bring to spend 1 or 2 hours with her.

However, that said, I'm absolutely willing to meet someone from the internet if tat would be an easier route to find high quality young girls.Since you are familiar with LA Cafe, you can vary the times that you visit there, as different crowds work different shifts. When I use to go there, I use to prefer the "day shift" girls as many of these girls use to tell their families that they worked regular jobs, and work during normal day hours at LA Cafe. Weekend days sometimes you can find new ones that try out the scene for the first time (they come with friends and its the only time that their parents can watch their kid (s)).

Casa would also be a good place to go also. There are two types of casa, the first is boarding only and you go there to select and take out. The second is a bar that boards girls and you can go there and sit, talk, drink, and all the otherstuff and of course take out. These places exist all over, but you may need someone to show them to you when you first start. Although it may be the most expensive option, it will be the best time saving, just jump in a taxi local and tell him to take you to a casa (be specific in the range, say within 10 minutes). Some taxis know a lot of them, and some have no idea what you are talking about. Just keep trying taxis until you find a knowledgeable one. If you find a good driver, take his number, and you can hire him to be your on call personal driver. Keep in mind that all taxi drivers will want to tell you that they know of casa as they make a cut for bringing a customer to the casa.

Another option is havana cafe (action starts later in the evening, so don't go to early). It may not be as good as it was before they moved to greenbelt, but it is still interesting. It may be discouraging at first, as there are a lot of ladyboys there but you can use that to your advantage. They are there every night, and know a lot of people. Just be respectful, act innocent and take a table next to a friendly looking ladyboy. Have your meal and or drinks and start up a conversation with the ladyboy (s). Once they know you are looking for female company you are good to go. Be respectful, if you respect them, they will do the same. Make friends with them, and they can help you sort through the many choices there. I have many a times bought drinks and had fun talking to ladyboys at havana. You can even tip them to help you find acceptable female company there.

Being "old fashion" myself, my current prefered methods are facebook, wechat, and the business card (paper with name and number). Facebook, and wechat are self explanatory, but if you need more details you can pm me. The business card method depends on if you already have a local PI number you can have "fake" cards pre printed at home before you go. If not you can have them made for you all over PI, I use to go to quiapo and get them done, takes an hour. If you already have a local number you can have them done at home which is better as the selection and quality is a lot better, plus you can do research and make a really good fake. If not just a regular piece of paper with your name and number on it works great Make sure to have a few with you at all times. If you see a girl you like at working somewhere (my favorite), or at the mall, church, or at a club or anywhere, just slip her your paper. If she is interested she will text you, just be careful how many you hand out, as it will be difficult to remember who the girl was if you hand out a lot and she texts you the next day.
