I am reposting this from the Cebu2022 section as there is no Cebu2023. And, I do not think anyone will read yesterday's posting until 2024 at the earliest! I am about to purchase my tiks to BKK and the Phils and I need to make a decision.
Here is the background: In 2013, I planned a weekend of scuba diving near Cebu, and actually had a DIA lady lined up to accompany me to Moalboal, when Typhoon Haiyan (aka, Super Typhoon Yolanda) hit. Somehow, I ignorantly did not check the weather and I arrived a few hours before they shut down the airport. I never left the city, and after the Typhoon was over (really, it was just one day of really strong wind and rain in Cebu), the resultant devastation to coastal towns brought everything in the country to a near standstill. I was able to convince a few brave girls to visit me in my hotel in Cebu, and picked up a terrific MILF in a mall the day after the storm, but the trip was pretty much a disaster. I am seriously considering returning.
So here is my real question: In perusing the various available girls in pinalove and DIA, I notice that Cebu has an abundance of available women. This is not to say that Manila does not, but I am curious whether Cebu is worth the journey if one is not heading to the beach. Is there more to do in Cebu other than hunt the ladies and have sex? And in that regard, is there a bar/disco/strip club scene or massage opportunities.
Of course, Cebu is close to lots of water opportunities. But I would be really pleased if someone could give me the lay of the land, so to speak, about things to do when not mongering in Cebu. Is it worthwhile to plan on staying in Cebu? Or should I spend a few days in the city scouting out the ladies, decide on a young traveling partner and then take her to Moalbaol for a few days?

Food was surprisingly good in Cebu city and there are some nice upscale bars and restaurants. No real pick up bars (Mango Square is overrated). If you want point and click fucking go to AC. If you want a more laid back visit and more non pros I would go to Cebu.

I went to Manila beginning of June and stayed for 5 days in City Garden hotel in Makati. Before travel I got few contacts from SA and got info from here on ISG for where to get currency exchange, SIM, GRAB taxi. Arrived at airport and exchaged $ to PHP. The exchange rate is good at airport and I did exchange for amount of next 5 days. Took prepaid SIM at airport.
Downloaded GRAB app on phone and it was easy to hire a taxi using GRAB. One thing is Makati is too much polluted. Luckily I took masks and it worked out well when I went outside. SA girls are good but a bit of expensive. But I negotiated for 6 K to 10 K. Some are very firm on 15 K, 25 K etc and not willing to negotiate. But 10 K is highest I did whom they turned out to be very good. Some agree to DATY but some does not I don't know why. But DFK is available for almost all SA girls I saw. Anyway I use protection regardless how they look or maintain.
Regarding food the filling stations is open 24 hours and the food is good and very crowded on certain times. Families with kids also come here to eat. I don't know what kids will think when they see all hookers surrounded by LOL. Sometimes I went nearby Indian restaurants and burger king.

Malapascua and moalboal are much better. They are far enough that you really need at least a weekend. Malapascua has better diving. Moalboal has more girls. Watch the weather as if conditions deteriorate, then the boats to / from malapascua are stopped and you are trapped on the island. Pick your priorities.

Vikings bar may have changed its name to Kakadu Bar (see pic). There are half a dozen gogo bars all right next door to each other there. Another one is named Sisters, and I think another one is named 'X'. Last time I was there before pandemic the barfine was p3000 for all of them and was for LT. No idea what it is now. If you go, report back.

First, thanks to all the members here who helped me get established. Almost everything on this board sums up my experience here.

Thanks much on the tip on Davao, pretty good find just on PL as of now. Whether a single or single mom both categories tend to have ample see compared to what I had in Manila and Iloilo. I tend to start fishing around and line them up at least 2/3 weeks ahead of time just for the simple fact of not staring at phone while supposed to be enjoying my time. The conflict was very real with numerous killings of both locals and foreigners in the SW of the island. Officially, it's over but it would be wise to be very cautious. Many regard going west of a line joining CDO and Gensan as tempting fate. Perhaps it's better now but I'd be reluctant to prove a point.
Davao rightly so has the reputation as the safest city in PI. The Duerte family still rule the city with an iron fist.
As an aside, the far SW has Zamboanga City. It's probably the online scam capital of the PI as girls know that no one will be prepared to go there. Expect a gorgeous profile that soon descends into the usual "send me money for a flight to see you" scam.

Check out the menu, most of starters are around 1 k alone. You can easily spend 5 k on a steak, then side dishes. Still exists so there must be enough people willing it pay it.
Unfortunately my trip to the Philippines got badly derailed after a fun first two weeks. Had a UTI followed by some general health issues which meant I didn't go out at all for the last 2 weeks. Did full STD testing at PULSE and surprisingly nothing other than the UTI, just extremely poor luck to get severely ill. But it may not be purely commercial either. Actually look up the Expat John saga on you tube. I live in a state that allows both "fault" and "no fault" options. Most cases are "no fault," but I ended up defaulting my ex-wife, so the divorce decree stated that my divorce was granted based on my ex's adultery.
I generally work like hell when I'm home in the US making money, then fly to the Philippines every 3 months or so for 3 weeks at a time. Usually, the problem is procedural irregularities. If you decide to marry someone and want a prenup to stand the best chance of being enforceable, make sure your prospective wife has her own legal representation and opportunity to be advised before signing the prenup. Problems arise when a husband simply whips out a prenup, drags is fiancée to a notary, and tells her to sign it, without her having the opportunity to read it or consider it with legal counsel. Those are easy to get thrown out.

Yes, it's exceedingly common for boy meets girl then moves on to another when she gets preggo. Add in religious influences on attitudes to contraception and abortion and it's not surprising to have so many single moms. Everything is low-end, dirt cheap, low delivery fees ($1 is not unusual) for slow delivery, and preferred payments until recently were COD (not electronic). All of those items should tell you that ShopZada is bottom of the barrel. However, I have ordered many times and not been disappointed, knowing I was ordering and receiving a set of queen sized bed sheets (1 fitted, and the top sheet not fitted) for $4, includes delivery in about a week. Amazon it ain't (as an Amazon Prime customer, the vast majority of my purchases show up in the home country in 2 days, with about 10% showing up the next business day -- that isn't happening in Phils if you don't live in the NCR).
Also don't expect easy customer service (you might have to open a 'ticket' in the app, rather than talk to a CSR). Customer service might consist of emails or tickets being dealt with every few days (or longer).

Literally their TOS* state the app is for citizens only (at least it did previously). You can get an account as a non-citizen, but you must verify that you are the account owner. The app has a verification process, as I mentioned before, that requires you (in the app) to take pics of your passport page, yourself, and possibly your SIM card. Verification usually completes in 2-5 days (it says 24 hours in the app, but me and my pinoy friends experience says longer). Citizens must also verify if they want to take advantage of the full slate of GC goodies. Its quite possible that the other Board member who downloaded the GC app can create an account and pretend to be pinoy, but he can't take advantage of GC goodies unless he verifies.

Best to order legit products from Amazon but I do purchase a ton from lazada and the only time I have trouble is ordering things from overseas vendors aka "from China". Got conned already. Though I had read up about the scams, I guess, in the enthusiasm of being here, I walked into one pretty much knowingly. Essentially, met someone through tg, fixed up a meeting, turned out to be a post op trans. And then got a call from the manager asking for more agency fees. Long and short of it, had to settle for 100 $ and managed to close the issue. I know that the situation could have become much worse, but by acting calm and composed and by ensuring that there was only 100 $ in my wallet, I managed to get out of the situation.

1/. Never, ever sit around waiting for a Pina to arrive. They are notorious for late-shows, no-shows and general flakiness. Just go on with your activities and have them message you when they arrive. You don't want to be stuck in Port Barton with a girl who is constantly complaining about the food, the hotel or that you are spending too much time hiking or diving (or whatever you like to do). Correct, Burgos, LACafe and of course Angeles are the redlight hotspots. However, pinas are amazingly approachable, even those not in the game. Get out and look around. Don't be shy to strike up random conversations nor chat over a coffee. Be polite and respectful and you may be amazed at the opportunities that pop up. Malls, food courts, cinemas etc are all target rich if handled properly.
Where you stay is very important. Manila is huge and traffic is a nightmare so girls can be many hours transport away. You also want somewhere easy to describe so that the girls can easily find you otherwise she will give up and ask you to come to her and that's a recepe for disaster. Assuming your not 17 and plan on fucking 24/7 you also want somewhere with other things for you to do for the remaining 95% of the day. I find staying close to major malls serves all purposes.
Hopping on the apps months out is a waste of time and only invites $$$ requests before you even meet. Upon arrival is fine for pros, a week before is better for civilians with a job etc. Remember that good girls actually have shit to do too and may have to plan ahead to meet you. Hookers can be there in 15 minutes.
Travelling with a girl can be fun or a nightmare depending on who you pick. Don't use the offer of a holiday to attract girls. They will be on their best behaviour until they win the prize. Next trip will be Ho Chi Minh City, Kaulalampur, Singapore, cebu, Manila next year.

I'm not new to the scene just new to Manila and from what I hear it's just tons easier to find a regular non-working girl that is quite happy to stay with you for a little while. Great tips, and will update for sure on how things went!I can vouch for New World Makati. It's not the Shangri La and a bit dated but I have stayed there for business a couple of times. Great buffet restaurant and, like you say, very centrally located in Makati, however bear in mind Greenbelt is a bit of a hike to P. Burgos so if the weather is not cooperative (hot, humid or rainy) it can be a bit more of an inconvenience to enjoy the Burgos scene. What I can say is that it is a very busy area and lobby. I never brought a girl back there when staying but I can't imagine it would be any problem whatsoever, the lobby is often like a mall with people milling about all the time.
Well. I finally went to the Philippines, and before I get into my detailed trip report, I will give a quick summary. This place sucks. I have never seen so many ugly hookers in my life. Sleep the first night and recover. Second night I go to see the KTV bars on Mabini street. What a fucking dump this area is. The sidewalks look like the moon. Ankle breaking time if you don't look down the whole time. Walked over to la cafe. What a horror show. Every chick was a 4 at best. Left immediately. Went to zebra KTV. Big place with lots of girls. Talent was marginally better. Went to vip with one but she was conservative. Not much groping allowed. Left there for another KTV. Went to vip again. This girl was more fun. I offered her 1 k for BJ. Said yes. Called it a night. Day 3 went to a couple more ktvs and the girls were just too conservative. Didn't allow alot of groping, but for about 75 to 100 dollars total at each KTV it wasn't the end of the world. So far not impressed with manila.
Destination 2: Angeles city. Check into ABC hotel. Nice hotel with all amenities. 100 a night. Rest up and off to walking street. This place is a dump too. Destination 3: Makati.
This are near Burgos street isn't that nice. Street walkers and ladyboys everywhere. Went to the burgos street bars one after another. Didn't take that long. Again, nothing but ugly chicks. I went to plan be and finally saw a couple attractive girls. I picked one so I can finally say I had sex with a fillipina. Barfine and girl was about 175 dollars. Well. I finally went to the Philippines, and before I get into my detailed trip report, I will give a quick summary. This place sucks. I have never seen so many ugly hookers in my life. Bar after bar was like looking at girls that have been on meth for 10 years. How do some of these girls pass the interview.
