Hi all,
Ok, my PI trip's coming up. Will be there for roughly a month, mostly in Makati,
but planning to really hit the QC this time.
How exactly does this KTV thing work?
OK, so you walk in, and you pay a consumable? meaning you can eat/drink the amount?
And then what? you get a table and get a girl to sit with you?
What are the rates for that, per hour?
And what kind of action can you expect? it won't be fkk acton i know, just wondering what the limits are (kissing, groping, etc)
It seems the sequence is:
Get a table.
Choose a girl from the aquarium, or from the show.
Go to VIP room or work out an afterwork deal.
I know about the mission impossible, although exactly what can happen in a room with a bench has yet to be experienced.

I've only done the KTV routine a couple of times, and was unimpressed with both experiences. From what I've seen though, anything goes in the VIP rooms, though why someone would want to have sex on plastic-covered benches is somewhat beyohnd my understanding; especially when, for about the same price, you could be having it on the bed, the shower or the tub in your hotel room.
From my limited experience, you've got thesequence about right. You will probably need to order in a bunch of food or drinks before you lock the door to the VIP.

The advantage of doing the deed in the establishment is that one doesn't have to pay a bar fine to take the girl out. I know that Pegasus was asking 10,000 pesos for that.
I was able to hook up with a girl in Stardust and took her to one of the rooms and had a good time with her without paying the barfine.

I think you'll have a blast when you go to PI for some KTV action.
What I suggest you do is to go inside the club incognito, meaning act like one of the locals. Don't give out any hints to the Floor Managers that you are interested in reserving one of their girls. The moment they learn that you're an expat or balikbayan these FMs will start putting pressure on you to get a room.
Scan the place and hang for about 1 1/2 hours. By that time, you'll be able to get a feel of the type of women that are working that day. They vary from day to day. I asked that you wait because there is a lot of women in a KTV. You don't want to miss the best that place has to offer.
When you've decided whom you want, talk to an FM. Ask the FM to make sure the girl will meet or go beyond your expectation.

I'm not too sure if this is posted in the right place, as I was taken there by local friends.
First of All,

Since Filipinos generally prefer, or are at least more comfortable, in QC then Makati or Passay, we headed to Quezon Avenue. First stop was Pegasus. For those of you unfamiliar with it, it has a reputation as one of the finest clubs in the area. It is very plush inside and there is definately a feeling that you are in a very nice club indeed. There are some private rooms, and lots of tables in the center so you can relax and watch the floor show without the expense of a private room. Now, in my opinion, the girls in the fishbowl were very unimpressive. Personally, I found them nothing like the quality of what is available in EDSA or Burgoss. But that is just my opinion. We had a couple of drinks, total damage of 2,000 Pesos, and then moved on to Classmates.
Classmates was also a very nice club. Brighter inside then Pegasus, but not quite as plush. Lots of girls dancing on stage in school uniforms, and also a fishbowl. I found the girls here a little better than Pegasus, but still not the type of girls that do it for me. My friends were not interested as well so we went to their favorite place, Club Paradise. This club was a little run down when compared to other two, but they said they prefered it as you could get straight down to business. In the other clubs, some of the girls did not put out, but here they said it was a job requirement. Also, considering it was obviously going to be cheaper here than in the other places, and I was paying, I had no complaints.
So we took a private room and the women came one by one and we made our selection. There was really only one girl that I thought was cute, but since I was taking out my friend I let him chose first and he picked her. We then picked our girls. The room boy brought us some drinks, and in about 5 mins, after some small talk, the lights went off and we all started banging our girls. Yes, all three of us banging our girls in the same room at the same time. Honestly, not my thing, but when in Rome, do as the Romans! Afterwoods, we hang out for a quite a while getting drunk. Pretty much the range of the looks of the women in the Quezon City are predictable and varies proportionally to the class of the establishment. Ok, I was able to go to Peg last Friday the 16th. I arrived just past 1AM, and missed the Aphrodite beauty contest.

Just got back from the PI yesterday. Thanks for everyone's advice. This will be my QC report. For those of you who don't check out the pleasures of Quezon and Timog Ave, you are missing out. The women tend to be lighter skinned then in P. Burgos and Malate. The scene caters more to locals and can be more expensive.
My first stop was the Imperial Hotel, where I stayed one night, on Timog. The hotel offers a decent massage (P600) with sensation (HJ and more depending on the girl, price varies). I asked for a nice looking girl. After massage she allowed me to feel her up while giving a HJ. Later I got her number. A week later, she stayed at my place in Makati. No BJ but FS/GFE and no money exchanged.
My next stop was Star Dust (SD). I reccommend this place for guys looking for light skinned girls (6-9's). But come early, all the good ones get taken up quick. It has been closed for several years. So I had to check it out when I saw the infamous name. The show was so-so and place is small and shady looking. But for P1300 you can get a private "VIP" room with FS. The girls are 6-7's. But for a quickie it's great! My girl did not ask for tip, but i gave some anyway.
For those interested in SW action, just drive your car next to the bus stands on Timog and honk your horn. A line of girls (4-6's) will appear for you to choose. However, none we're appealing to me.

Here’s some news, Pegasus still rocks. Room is 2gs during primetime. Service depends on your skills, from 1500 on up. But you can always tell them, what I say. I’m just a poor student. Haha. < doesn’t work as well with the grey hair, but it makes them laugh.
Executive is kind of empty, I stop going there last year, as I felt they were trying to rip me off. Felt kind of bad, as I was a reg there, and the girl tried to take advantage of me. Friends say its empty, like a ghost house. Maybe cause everyone is still partying next door at SD ?

This is my second time to get an usherette at Stardust. These are the girls that greet you at the entrance and accompanies you inside the club. I took them into the VIP room one at a time and to my surprise they can be banged just like the GRO's even more enjoyable since they are not so much used and they don't even mention about money, but it is just proper to tip them after the delicious banger.
My pinoy friend took me to these two clubs and wanted to make sure I was not ripped off. All I can say is to use common sense and don't jump with the first beauty that you see. Checked out Stardust first and quality was high with mostly hot young nubile young things( guys, get the idea?) Anyway Bf was said to be 2500 plus tips in 2000-3000 area.They also have a ST in one of the VIP rooms for about 3500-4000 total. I saw at least 100 girls with 15 being very hot. You can table the girls for 800 pesos for the hour and get to know them better.
Walked next door to Mystique. God is this place huge( easily 60' by 120') with at least 160 girls on call and they were hot but also expensive with ST being quoted 5000-6000 for two hours. I was weak and gave in but was able to split Vip room with my buddy(2500) so it cost me 1250+3000 for an hour short time. She was a cute spinner but she earned her money.
Unfortunately as hot as the girls are, their service might be at times a bit below the less stunning ones. Also there is a entrance fee that I think varies as to how well you know the managers. This can add 500-1000 more to the tab.

Makati is approx. 5 miles from QC. Depending on the time of day your travel, it could take from 45m - 90mins.

Could someone briefly explain what a GRO is? I checked the FAQ and abbrev. list but could not find a definition anywhere. I assume this is a short time girlfriend in the club, specifically VIP room type.

Thanks a lot guysI can confirm that Stardust is still open and offer nude dancing. They also have private KTV rooms where you can have full service from girls, though you have to know who among the girls do FS.

Just to make sure they are not confused, Stardust is in QC and does offer nude dancing (as do most of the places on Quezon Ave.). Also, this shouldn't be confused with the Stardust in Makati on Kalayaan right off Burgos.

My first time in Philippines, so forgive me if this has been covered already, but thought I'the post a bit of my first excursion here.
Staying in QC, so decided to visit Stardust, as it seems to be one of the better places in the area, and I'm not so familiar with the place in general this being my first time here.
Got there, and had to check both my phones in, as they both had cameras on them. No cover charge (or maybe they put that on my bill--I didn't check it). Got in and was greeted by the manager, who then took me to a table. There was a show of about 8-10 girls on the stage parading about. Model class I believe (there are 3 classes, GRO, models, and solo dancers, which get pricier as you go up.).
Anyway, ordered my drink and started chatting with the manager as he explained the general way things work there. Good touch for a first customer, as you might not always know the way things are supposed to work. Anyway, asked the manager if there was a window where I could view the girls. He said yes, and took me there. Although maybe it was a little bit early and I could've sat for a while longer and looked at the show, decided to have some companionship, as I'm here alone on business and went there alone as well.
So selected a girl, I don't remember her number unfortunately (it was covered and I just asked the manager to send her over) and she came over. Great attitude and pretty sweet body. Ordered some drinks, and although she looked young I guess she was well trained in the ins and outs of the bar too. Got me to get her some drinks, and eventually a bottle of tequila, although I prefer my gin and tonic. This in addition to the couple of beers I bought for her, a fruit platter, and some tips all around. Of course drinks for the manager are mandatory as he was good enough to stay and see if I was alright for most of my stay there.
So anyway getting the girl to sit at your table costs 800p/hr, which isn't too bad. You get to do the usual fooling around and all that. Although she was dressed as a GRO, it seems it's quite fluid as in the middle she went out and did a solo dance (the priciest category). But I think it's only 800/hr regardless of what category for them to sit with you (I think) but if you take them into the private rooms upstairs the price differences will tkae effect. Anyway, so with 2 hours of the girl in the main hall, a bottle of tequila (which they will keep for your next visit if you don't manage to finish it), fruits, random drinks, came up to be about 5600 or so, and about 6000php even after the various tips & etc.
At the end manager pointed me out to the doorboy and said I could bring my phones in when I next came. I guess it's t he first time when they'll stop you from bringing them in just as a precaution. Phones are locked up in a small drawer console, so should be relatively safe unless the guy tending them decides to do something with them.
Don't know how that compares, but I suppose it wasn't that bad for a first try, and seems to be slightly cheaper compared to say a KTV in Malaysia where they really do their best to milk you. Decided against barfining the girl, as got a long day ahead tomorrow. Will see how things go over the weekend.
Also had some luck on that webcams.com site, and my first impressions is that there are a lot of amateurs who don't mind doing stripteases over the net, but perhaps are uneasy about doing a 'full service'. But I think with some investment in time and sweettalking, they might be accessible. Many of them are just looking for a nice guy and should be receptive to it. I've seen way too many retards who's first line is "show me your tits" which is really a bit stupid. So first off I look and can sometimes pass for a local. So I figure the prices I paid reflect that.
Quezon Blvd starting about 150 yards west of EDSA usually has street walkers out after dark. The hottest one I ever saw was on the south side of the street across from the Kenny Rogers. I picked up one almost accross the street. You can tell because their are typically small groups of women looking dressed up more than the typical pinay on the steet. Plus they usually at least have on lip stick.

If you like the whole massage then half and half thing my favorite place is Sir William’s on Timog just north of Pasong Tamo. In the us we call them AMP's or Asian Massage Parlors. That said, I got a text that they got raided last night. I assume it's still open thought and that was just one of those things.
When you walk into the hotel go in and look for the elevator on the right. The massage place is on the 6th floor. Sometimes it’s busted so just get off at the 5th floor and walk up. There are three rates P 400 for a cubicle room, P 600 and P 700 for the more deluxe rooms. If you ask they will show you the rooms first. I like the deluxe rooms for the privacy and since you have your own shower it’s easier in negotiating seconds. There must be some ordinance though because all the rooms now have the bottom 5 to 8 cm of the doors romoved and open.
The other nice thing about the 600 and 700 rooms is that you get to look in the fishbowl. They usually have about 16 to 24 ladies in the 6 to 8 range in terms of looks and body.
I’ve given the ladies there anywhere from P 800 to P 1200. I’ve learned that if you are up front and treat them nice you get the best service and you can write your own ticket sometimes. My all time favorite there is Ruffa 67. She used to work at Maligaya on the P 1000 floor. I like her attitude. Treat her nice guys. BTW, I have taken expat friends here of Euro decent and they have had fun.
Last two times I was there they kept trying to get me to go with number 40. A skinny chinita looking lady. Not my cup a tea though.
Also I noticed one night a number of 8-10’s in terms of looks hanging out on the street on Timog near the gas station. They looked like working girls but I don’t know. If you're familiar with the AMP scene in the US, then lose your preconceived notions. It's better here. If you're more into the sex, you can go to a club and pick your girl from the aquarium, then you get her and a room for an hour. Bing-bang-boom. One place I found like this was Sylanus, which is in the basement of the Pegasus club. Can't remember the address, sorry.
Unlike many AMP girls in the US, the girl is not going to have her own ideas on how the session will go. You WILL need to tell her what to do. If you don't take charge, she'll be confused and maybe even think you don't like her. Just say what it is you want, don't worry about it, unless what you want is really weird.
If you're more into the pre-festivity AMP experiences, the table shower, etc. , then there are clubs for that too. I went to the Wilderness spa on Quezon Avenue and it was awesome. Picked my girl out, she took a very very long sexy shower with me, gave me the massage right there. Went to bed and you know the rest. It was awesome.

If you are in a taxi, which is a good and cheap way to get around Manila, then just tell the driver you want a girl. The driver will stop somewhere and the girls will gather around and you pick one.
The girl will probably want you to stop at the store to grab condoms. If she doesn't, then you should get a different girl immediately. i have some more info on quezon avenue. what an amazing place. there's just nothing like it in the us.
there's this dive of a restaurant on quezon avenue that i like, about a 20 minute walk away from where i'm staying. food's good, it's cheap, they have karaoke, and it's open 24x7. i keep late hours, so i'm always passing by tons of streetwalkers, especially from thursday to sunday. as an american, i get a lot of attention, which is nice in the sense that if i'm in the mood, i don't have much hunting to do. and most of those girls are smokin' hot. you can and should be picky.
i finally broke down and i've been sampling. if you pick one up make sure you stop at a drugstore (mercury drug is one) and get condoms and mouthwash. make sure both you and she shower first.- that's usually easy because the girl will have a hotel she likes to use. as i mentioned in my other post, if you get a bad vibe from the hotel, don't go in. just say bye. if you do go in, never leave your stuff alone with the girl, and never leave any food or drink alone with the girl.

Interesting comments on earlier posts about stopping at Mercury drug store for condoms. I lived in Manila for over 5 years, and would never buy condoms from Phils. They are truly cheaply made, nasty and small. I'm an average built guy I think. But always stock up with higher quality Durex before Manila trips. And always keep with me on the just in case basis.
My experiences with Trust and other local brands is far from good. Each to their own I guess.

That's because in many of these stores they're in the pharmacy area, so you'll have to get in line with bunches of older Filipinas looking over your shoulder (and trying to crowd past you to get waited on quicker) and ask the pharmacy sales clerks to get them for you. I suppose this has something to do with the patronizing influence of Catholicism.
I did buy some Durex condoms in a Mercury Drugs store in Quezon City near the big circle where Quezon Avenue becomes Commonwealth. The shopping area and jeepney stop there has a name, but I can't remember it. Perhaps because this is near the University of Philippines campus, so that both demand and attitudes are more liberal, they were on a display in one of the aisles, although a very butch-looking woman security guard seemed to be on guard right beside them. They turned out to be made in India. I've heard that Philippine condoms are smaller and susceptible to breaking. Easiest and fastest way to get back to Ermita would be taxi which should only cost you about a couple of hundred pesos. Just make sure they turn on the meter. If they don't, just flag down a moving taxi.

haha, i never asked for id. you just have to use your judgement. it's not just how they look. watch how they carry themselves. are they a little clumsier? do they look uncomfortable? look for telltale signs of age like slight wrinkles around the eyes, or sagging (even on skinny girls). also, if you ever encounter a very young girl with only a man or woman (not in a group), then that's probably the mother or father, so definitely stay away. you can also ask. sometimes they think that's what you're looking for. i had a lady tell me "take her, she's 17". no thanks.

Normally I'm a Makati boy but I had to do some work at one of the QC hospitals and I didn't want to get stuck in taxi all day and as my work was hit and miss, on call, so I had to be close.
So I stayed at Great Eastern. Now for me I stay at Dusit in makati normally and what I require in a hotel is a clean bed and hot water. I got a little more then that but not by much at Great Eastern. The room was big, bathroom was big but little tub no safe in room and old plastic holed keyed entry. Not Secure at all. Elevators didn't work half the time and there was the usual PI brown outs.
I'll admit I like to hang out at malls in MNL, I've had good luck picking up girls there and I have a business / work reason to wander around malls. So Trinoma and SM North and such were close and since the room had no coffee maker I got my coffee fix (could dial up to have a pitcher of hot water delivered but be warned to take your own coffee maker if you are an addict). I got a lot of contact with girls at both places. Where I completely struck out at was SM fairview for some reason.
Quezon Ave was full of girls and it is close to some KTV's and such but the QTY of QC girls on DIA makes it almost not worth the trouble to wander out. I had my pick of QC girls and you can run to Ever (I think that is the mall) as there are squatters locations behind that and there are tons of girls to pick up at that shopping center.
In QC you have a choice of Garden Heights, Great Eastern (also called Aberdeen Court), Imperial Palace Suites and Sir Williams. Great Easter does have a decent fitness room. Garden Heights is across from some hosptials but no fitness room at all. Imperial Palace was higher cost and Sir Williams could not reply to emails.
Comparing QC to Makati. Makati is fun for me as I know a lot of Burgos girls, Greenbelt is there. Can easily get to EDSA and others and is high and dry in bigger storms. More expensive and the girls cost or expect more. QC is more low down and lower prices and a crap load easier to pick up freebies then in makati area atleast IMHO. If you stay at Makati and a place like Dusit I guess the girls expect more cash or think of you more of an ATM, at a place like Great Eastern they sure don't think that I'm well off hahahahaha.
Overall. A shitload more freebie or low costing DIA internet girls out of QC and easier for them to get to you if you stay around QC. Fortunately I'll be back in two weeks at QC for more research. And July will be back to my normal Makati.

Timog had a ton of girls around that area but I (being stupid and trying to stay fit) walked all over and there were girls ready to be picked up hanging at Shakey's, Mercury, Starbucks, locked up buildings etc. Just all over hanging out.
The best I saw was around Timog (weekday) but I can't guarantee that the best quality hangs out there all the time, just when I was there and IMHO the best lookers were around Timog. I saw girls in day and at night but most were obviously at night at around 10 and midnight. I think they go later but 10 pm was prime (again when I was there and IMHO).
KTV's in QC to me are overpriced and not worth it IMHO and I have cash. If I wanted to flush cash I could go to Burgos or GreenBelt and pick up some higher priced (but clean / tested / battle proven / articulate girls) ladies and I do that, I don't mind dropping 4 K peso on a girl if she is worth it for long time. But I'm not a let's go spend 4 K to look or get a massage type of person I just want to get between their legs so why waste time.
In QC, I noticed a lot more stares from locals when walking hand in hand with my little DIA cuties around town and in the malls and far fewer pale faces then in makati obviously. Don't take that wrong there was never any issues or troubles and I've been around MNL for many years (more dangers at star city or mall of asia), just stating fewer mongers around town compared to other locations. I was however the only non Filipino in Great Eastern except for when the Tour De Philippines Bike Race folks sent a team of EU riders to stay there for three nights or so.

Shipping girls into nice Makati hotels from Pasay, Pasig, QC or other regions has given me great enjoyment over the years but staying at a non mongering lower budget hotel in QC really scored me some nice fresh mall and DIA pick ups (not skanky harrisons type hardened pro's being slaved out by guys). I never once felt forced to venture to a SW or to a Bar as the rotation of mall and DIA girls was so nice and they actually did not want or expect peso or a lot of it.
Comparing makati, leyte, bislig, boracay, cebu, AC, puerto galera, and many other places, I actually had a great mongering result in QC. I got lucky with my pickings I'm sure but I have new found respect for QC now.
And in a week or so I get to start all over again on my "research".

In QC, I noticed a lot more stares from locals when walking hand in hand with my little DIA cuties around town and in the malls and far fewer pale faces then in makati obviously. Don't take that wrong there was never any issues or troubles and I've been around MNL for many years (more dangers at star city or mall of asia), just stating fewer mongers around town compared to other locations. I was however the only non Filipino in Great Eastern except for when the Tour De Philippines Bike Race folks sent a team of EU riders to stay there for three nights or so.

Thanks in advance for the help!You could try SM North Edsa or the Trinoma complex across the road. The latter is arguably the best because it has a large atrium in the middle where many gather.
I was walking through Trinoma on my way to the China Bank branch one day, i glanced at a girl attending a stall in the middle of the walkway. Selling blankets if i remember correctly. She had the classic beautiful exotic pinay look. Great Eastern I had to stay at I would not like it, 2, 000 peso a night I think was what they offered but I got a discount. SM North was OK in the outside mall area not inside SM itself. As I reported SM Fairview I struck out totally. Trinoma Starbucks / walking around / Landmark for some reason the sales ladies at Landmark are just a gold mine for me. (Landmark Makati and then also in QC it turns out). Landmark is in Trinoma.
Now taking a virgin trip to QC. Or a nearly Virgin Trip I'm not sure about that. You need to know the area, the set up, the way filipina's are etc. I know right across the way from Great Eastern were girls but heading to Timog was better. Trinoma was a 50 peso taxi ride from Great Eastern.
Now Amavida says the central area, that to me was non existent due to the many kids on the jungle gym and such (unless you like girls with their kids hehehe) But seriously for me the middle area was a mess due to the events they were putting on etc. More around the rim of that area, at the little food areas and hanging out was better success for me.

This is a Filipino style warehouse concept superstore that has slightly lower prices than normal supermarkets and so attracts lots of sari-sari store owners and poorer Filipinas stocking up on pilchards and instant noodles. But it also happens to be the closest supermarket to my home, so I use it quite often. They very rarely see a foreign face in there so I attract lots of polite attention and I have become friendly with many of the overworked, underpayed till girls and shelf stockers. But I dare not become too friendly as it is too close to home and ‘shitting on your own doorstep’ is the phrase that springs instantly to mind:).

I have heard several times that quezon blvd is the place with the most action. Could you give me an idea on where the action is located. When i look at the map Quezon Blvd appears to be pretty long...so maybe some cross streets on where the epicenter of snatch is to be found.
Also, from what i heard the KTV's are over-priced, meaning geared toward asians?
I haven't yet gone nearly native, as Tansak, CS, and AV have, but I have spent a fair amount of time in Quezon City and know my way around. I have not put much energy into mongering there because I share this zip code with numerous business associates.
I concur with Tansak's assessment that QC is not a good destination for a cherry trip, but with two exceptions. If you want to pay top dollar there are some real stunners at the various gentlemen's clubs on Quezon Avenue. Pegasus is best known, and the other names escape me right now. But all are in the same general vicinity about ten blocks or so Southwest of the Great Eastern Hotel and near a bunch of car dealerships. This is not walking distance.
The second possibility for a novice is to set up contacts in advance through DIA, which is what Tansak seems to have done.
As far as the Ever Mall -- where there are squatter settlements nearby -- I think this is probably the Ever Gotesco Mall, which is a substantial cab right to the Northeast on Commonwealth Avenue, like way out past the Quezon City Ellipse and at least 2 km past the University. This is an older, sort of run down mall, and probably good hunting grounds for somebody with a little game. From the Far Eastern or that vicinity this mall is about a 120 peso cab ride.
Another hotel suggestion: Eurotel EDSA SM North. Look for it at a reasonable price ($40 US or less) on Agoda's website. I've spent a fair amount of time there. It has all the charm you could expect from a hotel with no windows, small rooms, and minimal furnishings, but the price is right, service is courteous, there's free WiFi, it's girl friendly, and they have free breakfast. They also have short time rooms. Its best feature is location -- right across from SM North Mall. If you go there, make sure to get the address and sketch out their location, because it's new and cab drivers don't know where it is. It's big, green and red, ugly, and easily seen from EDSA.
One last thought. Take a look at the Agoda website, go to Manila and narrow the search to Quezon City. There are several other cheap hotels in addition to Great Eastern. Check out the reviews. One of them -- may Sir Williams or Camelot or Rembrandt -- has an interesting review from a single guy who says, in a cryptic way, that there is conspicuous action available IN the hotel bar and restaurant and right out front. He wasn't impressed with the hotel but let it be known he was impressed with the possibilities for action.

great eastern has a walk of shame as you go in one area, in to an elevator into another walk of shame into another elevator. however you can go the side route and bypass walking in front of most folks. however i don't think of it as a walk of shame at all, trust me the workers have seen it all.
for me, i walked in with the current mrs., her 12 year old sister who could pass as 17 (ie **** but barely), her obviously gay brother and his "bf" and a bisexual butch female play mate of ours. now that must have looked like a sight as my ex step mom had a heart attack when she saw us. but the staff did nothing / said nothing.
sir williams is the hotel that i heard has action available. garden heights has no action on site. there are many little places but "few" what i would call 4 star hotels (shangri la, dusit, sommerset, etc.). but then as i said the girls are not expect 4, 000 peso a night from guys staying in 2 star hotels. there are apartments you can get at short term rates but you're not looking at comfort and most don't have a lot of foreigners in them.
i got a girl out of qc that i can ask to look around next week if you want just remind me in pm. i don't know my length of stay in qc could be 5 days or three weeks then back to makati. make it sound like i'm leaving country but really they are totally different worlds.

I don't think there's a way to avoid the walk of shame at Eurotel. There is a parking garage underneath, but I think the entrance from there is a stairwell up into the lobby. They make a point of asking for your card key before you leave the hotel, so it's pretty much impossible to avoid dealing with the staff when you bring a girl in. However, they do short time rooms I believe. They have their own website, so I recommend you check them out for short time prices. If they are like Eurotel on Pedro Gil there are options for 4 hours, 12, 24 and maybe others in between. I once reserved a room through their website and believe I got nearly the same price as through Agoda.
I also suggest you do a search for Sogo Hotels. They seem to have locations all over the Metro Manila area, and I think I remember seeing one on Quezon Avenue. They do lots of short time customers. It's worth a check.
great info here, especially tansak's report. i agree timog is the best area. a reasonably upscale place to stay on timog across from burger king is the new high rise torre venezia (venetian tower). about 2500 if booked through asiatravel. com, very modern, highrise with great views (we got upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite on the 31st flor). only bummers are ripoff wifi prices (free in the ground level cafe) and only 2 elevators so at times you must wait a few minutes. have some pictures i took from the balcony but can't find them now.
there are loads of good restaurants ranging from japnese and korean to chili's. the bar called padi's point, right on the timog traffic circle, is hopping with opportunity. lots of uni students at the live music venues rep001tered around the area. it is a walkable area too with none of the drawbacks of walking in ermita or malate.

qc ave is tied up tonight due to the elections on monday but that is only bringing out the talent.
last night at about midnight wandered out and right outside great eastern there were 30 + girls hanging around. they were moving up and down the street, but all within a short distance of the hotel. some were hot hot hot and some were young young young, think criminally young.
taxi pull over one of the lead girls would open up the door and show off the talent of the girls all milling around the taxi's etc. did not even have to walk 10 steps last night, the girls were all over, let alone this group there were groups all over qc ave. last night. there were some that were very good looking.

Had the pleasure to visit Tutubon and the area today. Walked away with over 20 phone numbers and that was with the Mrs. Walking in front of me and me sneaking away to "look' at things. Already phone is going off the hook.
The other day at Ever Godesco (spelling) had a sales lady ask how we met up and the Mrs. Told her on chat, that got them talking, and ended up all of us in bed.

I made the effort a couple of weeks ago to trek all the way to Quezon City just to check out the clubs on Quezon Ave. I have seen several short posts over the past yrs that hinted this could be an untapped area. Based on prior posts I had really high expectations, but was very disappointed.
From what I had gathered in advance all of the clubs are of the KTV variety. If you are not familiar with this it means you choose a woman/ or women from a fish bowl, and they join you in a private room to sing songs off of a video monitor. Now as a white guy this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of and cannot imagine how this equates to sex or is compared to the dance clubs in Cebu or Burgos/Makati. So upon questioning the managers at these places they very easily gave away the truth that you can have sex with the women in the video room.
Why someone would want to have sex in these clubs rather than their hotel is beyond me.
All of the clubs are large and have a very not-friendly feel to them compared to other places in manila. They are very professional and very comfortable with big soft couches and everyone dressed nice. All of them are very dark and feature a large stage in the middle of the room. It is worth mentioning that they constantly have women dancing on these stages in sexy costumes which are either removed slowly over several songs or not worn all together. So if you are into naked dance shows you will definitely enjoy yourself. Some of the clubs had as many as 5-6 women dancing totally naked on the stage at one time. Most of the women were very good looking, really enjoyed dancing in front of the crowd and had great bodies.
As far as the fish bowls the number of women and the range of beauty was absolutely incredible. At the largest club, Pegasus, there were in the range of 100 women in the fish bowl. All of the club managers claim when you are looking at the fish bowl, "these are a small number of girls, the rest are in the rooms with clients." I suspect they do not have nearly as many clients as they claim or women currently with clients.
All of the clubs have a cover charge, to simplify, you have to spend a minimum amount to enter which is applied to your bar bill. Or said another way, they all generally have a two drink minimum. This amounted to on average 500 pesos.
When I questioned the different managers and really tried to get down to the details it seems the going rate for full service sex was going to be in the neighborhood of 10,000 pesos. Their pricing system is very confusing with different levels and prices for times of the day and even different quality of the women. So I would not be surprised if 10,000 pesos turned into 20,000 very quickly. There are different fees for the women to sit in the room and sing with you as well as different fees for the women to sit at the bar with you…the list goes on and on. It seemed that a lot of the customers would order large amounts of food and in some cases entire bottles of liquor to their rooms.
All in all I guess groups of men go there and stay for a very long time and go thru a lot of different women throughout the night. I can't imagine that they are all in the room having sex with their women in front of each other, but who knows.
I would really love to hear from someone, preferably an asian, on their take on these type of clubs. As you can see from my post I regard the entire set up as a ripoff and something that I could never really enjoy myself doing.
As far as the reports about Quezon Ave being full of women hanging out on the streets looking for men. I have to say this is total crap. I have never seen a more desolate, quiet street in my entire life. The clubs are very spread out so the idea that it is wall to wall KTV's is completely untrue. The clubs are so far apart that it is completely impossible to walk between them. During the several hours I spent going from one to the other I never saw a single person walking on the street.
I did also see several saunas/spas or massage places on the street. I walked into several and they are set up completely for sex. They have a fish bowl, you pick the girl, she comes to the room with the idea in mind that you are going to have sex after your massage. These places appeared to be fairly nice, and the prices I was quoted were in the 2000 to 4000 peso range.
There is one club that I visited on Quezon Ave that is a little different from the others and I will write a separate post on it because it is a very good time.

Foreigners would probably find the Asian KTV Club Scene very strange. Unlike upfront brothels in a western context, girls working in a club don't see themselves as prostitutes but more as 'entertainers'. Here it's more of drinking and singing, and if you get lucky, get laid for free if the girls "fall in love" with you (or give you that illusion). Most Filipinos dont eat or drink much inside the clubs are you are charged exorbitantly for everything. You also have to watch out for those pricey ladies drinks and get down to business immediately.
For the all out pros doing play for pay in these joints, you can negotiate anywhere between 1000-1500 pesos (local rate) in doing it inside the karaoke room. This is more of an exception than a rule. Giving a 100 peso tip to the managers would let them point you to the girls who are "game" for sex. If you are a foreigner, all the rates are multiplied exponentially so it would be wise to have a local to guide you.
If you notice, most KTVs along Quezon Avenue have a massage parlour alongside. This is where full sex is guaranteed. Rates anywhere between 1500-2000 plus same amount of tip for the girl.

Devil 1: for the most part, almost All KTV anywhere in Philippines are ripoffs.
They are only interested in milking you for anything they can put another charge in your bill, if you are a smoker, I suspect they will even charge for matches if you didn't bring your own. Inflated bills is the norm at these places.
Also, many of these places are mainly catered to the Asian travelers.

I went to QC last summer to do some checking on the clubs there. To make it short, most places are expensive for what you get other places in Manila.
You are correct about the "consumable." One way to look at it is they are giving you a fair deal for spending that money. Another way to look at it is you have to spend a minimum in the club if you stay. All of the places I went were cool about letting you check the place out before you committed to staying. Also, there were alot of beautiful women working there. And true to all manila establishments, I am sure you could get their numbers and meet the girls outside of work for less money.
Also, there are many massage places on Quezon ave that were very fairly priced with lots of women.

The situation around Quezon Ave have changed since the last time I visited. Major changes:
1) Fish bowl in the MP has been replace by sitting room, similar to the sitting room for high end girls in BKK. Girls now wear uniforms similar to nursing scrubs.
2) MP are very cautious about providing extra services if they don't know you.
3) MP places have been raided.
4) Sylvanus, Executive was closed when I visited Dec 8. Wilderness only had 4 girls and Kremlin did not have much.

For example, I live quite close to the boundary between QC, Pasig and Mandaluyong (bit like a golden triangle), and when I cross ADB Avenue I go from Pasig to Mandaluyong; cross another street at the corner up the road and I go from Pasig to QC.

Don't scrimp. Just go to one of the Massage Parlors on Quezon Avenue (Q. Ave). Kremlin has very nice facilities. Haven't been there in years, but damage all-in for an hour (or was it hour and a half), 1 shot, with perfunctory massage, would be more or less PhP2. 4 k - 3 k. The tip is usually equal to the (regular) price of the room (not the promo price). The MP near Queen's Castle (KTV) might be less expensive. So is the one in the basement of Pegasus (KTV). The one in Heartbeat (KTV) is more expensive, but I like the service and selection better.
If you're going to quibble about price, I suggest you go to Angeles instead (although I personally haven't been there).

I leave and return later at about 4:30 am. Crowd is slimming. I buy a drink and mill around. A girl sitting alone smiles at me. There is clearly someone else with her from all the drinks and food on the table, so I wait cooly. Her friend comes back and they whisper together. I am sitting behind them wondering how to make my move, when she asks the security guy for a light. I jump up and say I got one and that was that. We chat, exchange names, they invite me to sit with them. Comes time to go (6 am) and they say they want to eat. I tell them they can come to my hotel for free breakfast, buffet starts at 6 am. They decline and I walk away only to hear shouts of a guy after me a minute later. They want to come with me to the hotel.
Once in the room, I find out they have been at Guilly's since 9 pm. Both are in their late 30's and honestly I would have guessed they were late 20's. Had a blast chatting in the room having fun. Girl 1 (not girl 1 of the day, I mean the first girl who smiled at me), falls asleep on the bed watching tv with her arms wrapped around a pillow. Other dance clubs, usually called super clubs, to check out are Vanity, Area 05, Cliniq and Prime - places open and close. Wed is good as the clubs have Ladies Nights. The club scene is dynamic as clubs fall in and out of favor, so if one is bad go check another. There's a comedy bar called Zirkoh, and it's like the Library in Malate; be advised comedy bars here feature ladyboy performers, but more like grannyboys as they're typically haggish, overweight gag men who lipsync and love to tease foreigners in the audience.

I had a great time and liked both places. My buddy had warned me about the traffic in Manila. Yet, on a Saturday afternoon, it took us close to 90 min from Makati to Kremlin. Sunday afternoon was better as the traffic was much lighter.

It went great guns for a long time, 2 live bands per night. Always a crowd and sometimes a line outside. One night 2-3 years ago my date and I were in there and noticed only about 6-8 patrons. We went again a few nights later to a similar small crowd. There were fewer chats between songs among the band's singer and the crowd. At one point the lady singer made a small joke (not about anyone in the audience). I remember her saying something like: "Too bad I don't speak tagalog. The joke is much more funny in tagalog. If only I could speak tagalog. But I'm Filipina. How can I learn to speak tagalog?" She shot a look to the management behind the bar. Later, between sets, her band was enjoying a drink alone at their table. I stopped by to compliment them, and asked her about the comment, as it seemed odd to me (and my date). She explained that all bands in Bedrock had been halted from speaking tagalog on stage, for the foreign visitors, and to stop making jokes about the foreigners. "If I cannot make fun the foreigners in tagalog there is so much less fun the experience for the audience". One might think that fairly racist, especially saying to a gringo's face (and it is), but she was being candid. Its part of the culture. The place went out of biz at least a year ago.

Avenue.Not knowing the name of your hotel and what your plans are I'm left to my imagination.
I'll guess you mean E. Rodriguez Ave. Depends where your hotel is in the street because it's a long one. It's a good location if you want to visit St Luke's hospital often. If your hotel is near EDSA the Areneta Center and Gateway Mall are close. If your hotel is near Espana Blvd you're close to UST, FEU, Recto, etc. If your intention is to hang out at the nightclubs in Tomas Morato and Timog avenues it's not a bad location, but you could stay in Timog Ave itself at the Luxent Hotel or other location.
Quezon Ave is also quite long, so where exactly you're staying in E. Rodrguez Ave and where exactly you need to go to in Quezon Ave will dictate your travel time.

Traveled from Makati to QC at around 1 pm on a Tuesday, traffic was pretty light. Stopped at Syl's and Kremlin (neither had many customers). Syl's only had a few women working, Kremlin had at least 30. I ended up back at Syl's because someone caught my eye there. Massage was 900 and FS was 1200, but I must say seemed a bit rushed. I think at Kremlin it was 1100 for massage and 1500 for FS. Ate at Alix (sp) afterwards, nice meal for about 400. All in all, a nice little afternoon.

Around 2004 - 2008 I used to go quite often on a Friday night to a number of bars in QC but with a group of local guys (office work mates) who wanted to show the foreigner their playground, but most of these places are very much for the locals.
I never felt any problem because I was with a group but I was definitely the only foreigner in the place. My local friends told me never to go to any of these bars (around Araneta) alone because the local guys will take exception to this on the following rationale:
You foreigners have got your "own" bars in Burgos and EDSA and places like Greenbelt and The Fort that exclude us because they are too expensive for most of us except for the rich kids. We don't have a choice but you do, and we don't want you coming here with your loads of money and taking "our" girls.
Now I know there are guys who like to live on the wild side and others who will say how they went to this or that bar and had no problem and I must say I have been to a couple of Padi's Points (one near Araneta Stadium and another on Katapunan) alone and never had a problem but I was also studiously ignored by most groups and I felt excluded.
That was 10 years ago and I wouldn't do it today as attitudes are changing.
As I said, if you have nothing to lose then by all means check it out, but if your name and reputation (associated with your job) depends on you staying right out of trouble then you are risking some incident that you might not be able to control.

You're right. The MS places and the Karaoke Places in Quezon Ave and E Rodriguez are not bars per se. They are open to all, but they charge for the pleasure too.
I was especially referring to the bars in Cubao off Aurora Ave near Gateway Mall; those around Araneta and the streets near Ali Mall. Also the students' bars along Katipunan.
These are very much local bars, with a pricing formula and a sleaze element that caters to the locals on the low pinoy daily wage.
They all have the same formula. Girls comes out sort of half-dressed to a well-known song; dances in slo-mo (sort of dances) while she removes bits and pieces of her clothing until she ends up naked and then disappears, to be replaced by another girl.
Girls then dress back stage and emerge to be available to be "tabled" (as they say in these places).
Even though I was with a group of local guys and I feigned enjoyment for their benefit, I was always glad when it was time (for me) to pay the bill and go home. The bill was always astonishingly low for drinks and polutan.

Araneta, Eastwood, etc. Hoping they have decent places to go have casual dining. I guess Makati is more well known. Basically, I would like a more relaxed area, but upscale at the same time. Good idea?
I intend to stay for 2 to 3 weeks, so will try renting a condo. All hotels are just too pricey. Condos are not cheap, but if I get a monthly rental rate, it will definitely save me some money. I need the extra space that a condo offers, as I am a musician, and I practice during the daytime hours. So far, have seen some acceptable units advertised on the internet. Would prefer something that has a fitness center in the building, and of course, all the necessary amenities nearby, like convenience store, cleaners, restaurants, etc.
I understand that QC has numerous massage parlors, and spas. Many are located on Quezon Ave? Where are the others located? What about the salons that offer service to men and women, as I would like a haircut as well? Anyone ever try going to one of these high end places for a massage? I occasionally get massage in high end hotels in other Asian countries, and they sometimes ask you to wear disposable underwear, and then you are fully draped for massage. However, went to one at top of 5 star hotel (Bangkok), and the underwear was just optional, and I was only under a towel. Would any of the Quezon City high end spas be similar?
The other possibility could be calling for room service massage from craigslist ads (Manila / Services / Therapeutic) - problem is the whole section is full of repeat postings from a few different agencies, and little to none of the freelance type ads. Hotels here are expensive. But also take note that Quezon City is a big city. Eastwood and Araneta Center are commercial centers that have plenty of restaurants. But they are not really very near to Quezon Ave if massages are what you are after. Eastwood to Quezon ave may take you 30 minutes to an hour to get to Quezon Ave depending on the traffic while Araneta is a little closer and may take you 15-30 minutes.
If you want to go to Makati from QC, it is not that far but you have to endure the traffic. On a Sunday or during mid day, it can take you 20 minutes, during rush hour, maybe even 2 - 3 hours. I wouldn't advise getting a driver though. If a taxi scams you, he'll charge you maybe 500 pesos instead of 100. But if you get a driver, the car rental with driver will be costly. Best idea is to take Uber or Grab car by downloading the app. As long as its not rush hour, you should be able to get a car with no problem.
Hotel Spas. Clean. And normally, you wouldn't want to have anything to do with the therapists. I don't know if they have disposable underwear, but normally high end spas would let you wear some kind of loose pair of shorts that they provide.
Barber shops. Also clean. I don't know if you are thinking of doing anything else here. But if you are just planning on getting a haircut then its relatively cheap. Malls would generally have a branch of a barbershop chain.
Spas. Actually getting more popular except that common folk wouldn't ordinarily know where they are. Some don't even have signage. Use google and more information on this may come out. Usually these places are small commercial spaces which have a row of curtained cubicles. Normally with better massage than MPs. Advantage of this is that the whole thing is like long foreplay, and the downside is, its just foreplay. You get your fix but sometimes end up wanting more. It's not the best site for hotels but this is the only one I can find that lists smoking rooms. It links to booking.com and not all the rooms are actually smoking rooms. Expedia, booking, agoda, hotels.com, none of these filter for smoking rooms. Airbnb can filter for "smoking allowed" but when I write the host they always say "you can smoke on the balcony" or "you can smoke outside" which sucks. Maybe I should just book a room that says smoking allowed on airbnb, smoke inside, and if they raise a stink later I can just say "hey, you listed it as smoking allowed".
Anyone know any other sites where you can filter for smoking rooms?

Well I read of the scarcity of information about Quezon City so I found myself camped here in QC for a couple of days.
