Then we went back to my room and had another intimate little boom boom session.
Afterwards we watched "Zombieland" on TV. For some reason I really like this movie (Bill Murray & Emma Stone) and J had never seen it. She likes zombie movies and showed me her scary zombie face. I had to laugh, then I ran out of the room to the barefoot bar, which was not 100 paces from my room, for 2 more SML's. We snuggled up after the movie was over and fell asleep in each other's arms. It was another good day by the sea.Fantastic reports. Putting me in the right frame of mind for preparation of my four month long trip through SEA next year.

Day 51 Friday April 18,2014 Subic Day 5:
While J and May were enjoying the pool yesterday, I asked J if she wanted to go to San Paulo Cove with me on Friday and of course she said yes. San Paulo Cove is located just outside of Subic Bay facing the open South China Sea so the water is presumably cleaner and much fresher. Originally while I was in the USA I had brought up the idea of the two of us taking a 2 night holiday to Pundaquit. From Pundaquit even more pristine coves like Nagsasa Cove and Sinlanguin Cove are easily reached by banka and are considered the best beaches in the area. I kind of blew that plan off when I spent a couple of nights with T, but I was still looking forward to at least checking out San Paulo, the nearest cove to Baloy Beach and saving the Pundaquit trip for another visit.
So we had stopped off at J's dormitory last night on our way to the Wild Orchid so J could pick up some things she might need for our little outing the next day. It was my 2nd visit to J's domicile and believe me, she lives, along with 15 other bar girls, in pretty deplorable conditions in a one room hot house with bunk beds, a fan, a TV and one shared wash room. It is not pretty sight and it makes me feel sorry for these girls. J has a lower bunk bed along the far wall where she keeps her stuffed animals on top of the bed and most of her belongings underneath the bed. It is only a block from Rum Jungle and a half a block off the main road in the back of some other building. It is not good.
Anyway we had breakfast by the pool this morning and then we walked along the beach. I had talked to banka Captain Nathaniel the day before about the trip and had booked his boat weather permitting. Captain Nathaniel wanted 1800 p for a 3 hour trip which included 1 hour to travel to San Paulo Cove, an hour at the cove, and an hour traveling back to Baloy Beach. I remember renting a banka in Port Barton, Palawan for the entire day for 1400 p, but this was not Palawan so I agreed to the terms. J and I stopped to pick up a few bottles of water at the local tienda. There is nothing available at the cove. We hooked up with Captain Nathaniel around 11 am and began our little journey.
We more or less hugged the coastline of the Redondo Peninsula and the ride to San Paulo was pleasant. Once we passed Grand Island the water became discernably cleaner. We finally passed around the tip of the Peninsula and were in open ocean for a brief moment as we headed straight into the cove.
It was a pretty place and although the sand was not pearly white fine grain you would expect at a beach like Boracay, the water was a clear aqua marine blue and very refreshing. We immediately went swimming as soon our banka landed on the beach. The visibility was good too. We could see little fishes swimming about around our feet. As I mentioned before, J is an accomplished swimmer, but for some reason she is deathly afraid of sea snakes so she clung to me for protection. I kind of liked it and I had a lot a fun floating around in the water with J wrapped around me. Then after about 40 minutes of sun and surf we laid down on some beach towels underneath a palm tree and just relaxed.
An hour went by and then we went for another swim. Just as we were preparing to get underway a little boy came up out of nowhere and asked for 200 p payment for a visiting permit. The captain had told me about this tariff yesterday so I smiled and gave the boy the pesos. There was only one fisherman straw hut on the beach. Obviously that is where the boy lived.
The ride back was uneventful. J fell asleep. I watched the scenery. The water became dark and green as we entered Subic Bay again. Back on Baloy Beach the Captain told me Sinlanguin Cove was another hour from San Paulo Cove and he wandered if I wanted to go there tomorrow. I have heard that Sinlanguin Cove is the prettiest most pristine beach in the area. I think I will defiantly go there the next time I visit Subic, but I believe the best way to visit these coves would be part of a 2 maybe 3 day visit to Pundaquit. I will set aside the additional days needed in my next Subic itinerary.

J was tired out from the trip so she went back to her room after we each had a refreshing mango smoothie at the Barefoot Bar. Before she left she asked what I was thinking of doing tonight and if I wanted to have a farewell party at Rum Jungle with her and her friends. I said I sure did. She said Caroline, Grace, and Vanessa all wanted to show me a good time since it was my last night in Subic. I told J that I was thinking of ordering a large pizza for the party. She became all excited about the party plans and asked what time I would come by. I said around 8:30. I gave J 70 p for a trike home and she took off smiling and looking forward to the evening. I just relaxed for a while by the pool and then I hung out at the Blue Rock floating bar till the sun started to go down.
Around 8:30 I took a trike over to Rum Jungle. J and her friends were waiting for me and they quickly found a nice table for us all to be together. I asked the girls if they wanted shots of Tequila. J and Caroline said yes, but Vanessa and Grace wanted Chocolate Cake shots instead. I asked what a Chocolate Cake shot was and they called over a waitress to answer my question. She informed me that a Chocolate Cake shot consisted of equal parts citron Vodka and Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur with the rim of glass coated in sugar and a lemon wedge for afterwards. Ugh! But suddenly the girls wanted me to try one so I ordered a round of Chocolate Cake shots for everybody. As you can imagine it was sweet, but not totally disagreeable. To everyone's delight I immediately ordered another round for everyone and the party got under way.
Meanwhile there was a little entertainment going on in the bar. All the paying customers were asked to put their names into drawing in order to be eligible for certain prizes, but in order to win the prize, the 7 lucky winners had to kiss one of 7 bikini clad bar girls standing on stage when his name was called. The first guy was called up. He looked like an ex-pat local to me because everybody knew him including the girls. He nonchalantly walked on stage and picked a friendly smiling girl that he must have known pretty well. Then he dropped to his knees and wrapped his arms around her ass. The girl screamed in laughter as he pulled her close and started to kiss her bikini bottom right where pussy was located. It was very funny. His prize was a free drink at any Dryden Bar. Another winning customer was called up and he just kissed a girl on her lips. His prize was a free dinner somewhere. And the game continued until all the girls on stage had been kissed. The biggest prize was a free night at the Arizona hotel. I was impressed.
I ordered another round for my posse, but this time I changed my drink to Tequila and so did J and Caroline. Feeling pretty good at this point, I asked the girls if they were hungry and they all said a little bit, so we sent out word that I wanted to talk to a Dryden Deli waitress. One soon appeared and I quickly looked over the menu not that I needed to. I knew when I walked into the bar tonight I was going to order a large meat lover pizza. I ordered this same pizza last year and remembered how tasty it was. I also knew that a large pizza was way too much food for the 5 of us, but I also knew that the other girls in the bar would devour any leftovers.
We had time for one more round before the pizza came. I had 5 slices. The girls including J had 2 pieces apiece so that left us with about half the pizza. J asked if I had enough and I said yes. Then she invited some of the other girls over and the pizza disappeared in a matter of seconds. I saved a piece for a demure little girl who was standing back too shy take a piece on her own. She gave me her beautiful smile for a thank you.
So now the party really started to get going. I have no idea how many shots we had, but J, Caroline, Vanessa, Grace and I all got loaded on Tequila. The girls started dancing on top of the table and J and Caroline played around with me under the table. I became very attracted to Caroline and remember thinking at the time that she was really sexy and beautiful. I should point out that Caroline is half Afro American / half Filipina. She has a beautiful face and is very well put together.
Caroline on her part was acting very friendly to me too and she was touching me under the table. I reserved my kisses for J though, who was sitting next to me on my left. Caroline was on my right, but I guess I got a little too friendly with Caroline because later back in my room J brought it up and she got mad at me. I remember her saying that if I wanted Caroline she would call her and pay her barfine for me. Ha Ha Ha! Funny thing was I actually liked the novel idea and for a split second considered the possibility of it actually happening, but I quickly and wisely concluded that it wasn't going to happen this trip, so I told J she was the only one and even though Caroline was very, very sexy and I liked her. I also added that I never wanted to be with her. Unfortunately, that little tidbit about Caroline being very sexy got J even madder. "So", she said, "you do think Caroline is sexy!" And I said yes, but.... Well it took J a half an hour to let me calm her down and then we had very passionate boozy make up sex. So it was a fun night with a little melodrama and Tequila mixed in.
After that, all I remember is passing out and waking up around 9 am with a headache and a sore arm. Apparently I had fallen asleep with my right arm in an awkward position above J's pillow and she had gone to sleep with her head on my arm. In the morning my arm did not feel right especially if I moved it a certain way, but I didn't give it much concern at the time thinking it would go away.
J woke up and we spooned for a while. Then she asked if she could come to Makati with me and I had to put that idea down gently but firmly. We got dressed and went out for breakfast by the beach. All either of us could order was fresh orange juice. After drinking the juice J suggested we go back to my room and relax until I had to go. So we laid down on the bed and pretty soon we were having farewell sex. It was tender and nice.
Then we said goodbye. I gave J a little something extra ($100), because, oh hell, it was Easter tomorrow, and I knew she really needed the money. Besides I really liked her a lot and let's face it, I did not want to go through another tearful farewell with her like she gave me last year. It was funny. I sensed she was about to go tearful on me and I said to her, "just say goodbye darling, quickly like pulling a bandage off your arm" and I pantomimed the act of yanking off a Band-Aid on my arm. "It won't hurt as much if we do it fast," I told her. Then I kissed her one last time and saw her off in a trike. Like I have written earlier, of all my sexy Asian friends, J is the most constant and loyal correspondent and e-mailer. She is always sending me pictures and keeping me up to date on all that is going on here in Barrio Barretto. She is a very nice girl with a good heart, but I wonder if I have played the Boy Friend Experience too much on her. I don't know. All I knew at the time was that I was ready to move on to Makati.
I had arranged for a Wild Orchid driver to take me to Makati. He was already waiting for me in the front of the hotel when I went to check out. The 5,500 p limo service was put on my bill. I checked out of the Wild Orchid at noon and 3 hours later I was on the outskirts of metro Manila on EDSA Boulevard. It took another 45 minutes to navigate the traffic bottle necks caused by various lane closures on EDSA. But when my driver finally exited EDSA Ave onto Ayala Ave, turned onto Makati Ave, then turned left onto Palm Drive and pulled up in front of the ornate 5 * Fairmont Hotel, it felt like I had arrived on another planet. And I had a feeling that Makati was going to be great.

I had a blast!
I rented a room at the Arizona International Resort. This is not a plug for that place. But it was fantastic. It has 24/7 bar restaurant. Also has a girlie bar that opens at noon. A lot of sweeties.
Has a floating bar on the bay. The owners are incredible, any problems and they jump right on it. Also the price was right about 40 dollars per night.
1500 peso bar fine for girls.
Also did a free lancer I picked up in the Subic free zone.
The place is called Pier 1 it's outside with huge canopies and live band every night even during typhoon, lots of free lancers.
You can't go wrong with Subic and Barrio Barreto.

Many of the malls have gyms / fitness centers like "Fitness First" or "Gold's". You can also try checking out some of the other hotels, find a gym you like and they'll probably allow you to use it for a small fee; either at a daily or monthly rate. If you don't have any luck finding a gym, then I'll guess you'll you have to stick to getting your workout from bar girls, LOL.
This post won't be very informative, but there's so little on Calapandayan that I might as well put it out.
3rd time in Barrio Baretto / Baloy and I thought I'd go see what it was like up there. Read the warnings on getting mugged / having your drink spiked etc and so went early Saturday night with a BB girl. Took a jeepney for 10 pesos each. First stop at around 9 pm was Griff's; pushed open the door and walked into what looked like a garage. There were 2 white guys both 70+ sat at the bar with their tops off, getting their feet massaged and that was pretty much it. Looked like a scene from a David Lynch movie.
Had a beer then went looking for Miami. It's down a side-street so walked right past. Went into another bar with girls sat outside it, sat down and realised it was a karaoke bar (not my thing) and that the waitresses were mostly guys (not my thing either.) I can deal with ladyboys but these were just blokes in dresses. The few clients there were standard Filipino guys and my BB girl said it was quite normal, which wasn't how I'd imagined the area to be.
Bar no. 3 was a few doors along and up some stairs and was more what I'd been expecting. Girls dancing on stage and very gradually revealing more each time although by 11 pm that wasn't much. There was a table of young Filipino guys at the next table knocking back Red Horse and giving me cheery thumbs-ups.
And that was it. We only covered about sixty meters of the street and then went to Dusk Till Dawn. Part of me wanted to go back to Griff's to see if anything had change but most of me didn't care. The beer was cheap and it's obviously self-defeating to go somewhere deliberately early, but I wouldn't go back. In DTD, an expat who lives the other side of Calapandayan couldn't understand why I had bothered. He said it's not exotic or edgy, just dull. YMMV.

Subic is always part of my Annual Philippine Trip with my mate. 3 days at Arizona then on to Makati for a couple of days to romance a couple of DIA friends then meet up with our "steadies" and off to Puerto Galera for a few days.
Can't say enough of the hospitality of Gavin and Tommo at Arizona. Been staying there 4 years in a row and it's like family. Many repeat familiar faces from year to year. It's been a month since I'm back home and still going through PPD. Post Philippine Depression (happens every time). Cheers.

I want to watch the cricket world cup while I'm there so an Aussie sports bar would probably be my best bet. But is there one?

Of course I am biased but I would be at Scores Bar at Arizona. P50 Tryke ride up the strip and you can watch the games with your countrymen. Gavin and Tommo.

Trust me on this. As you would say No Worries. Arizona is Aussie owned by Tommo. They are great hosts and the Bar has girls working while you are watching. They even have Ausie Rock Live bands a couple nights a week.Seconded. Tommo, Gavin, and Jamie are stand up guys. The bar and girls are great. You can watch sporting events in the score bar or out in the restaurant area (there is a belly up bar there as well). They have a board outside with listings of all the sporting events with local showtimes. I think the Aussie rock night is Saturday. They had prizes and giveaways when I was there (I won a whole bunch of free drinks and food). Mongerer69 is spot on.

This January I made it back to the Philippines for the first time since a summer 2013 trip to Angeles (in combination on that earlier trip with stops in Singapore, Jakarta, and Bangkok). On the recent trip I didn't have a lot of time, just five days, but wanted to do Angeles and also try someplace new. Since I had never been to Subic I decided to check it out, unsure of what to expect as it doesn't get nearly as much mention as Angeles.
I ended up liking Subic a lot. It may not have as many venues as Angeles, but still has plenty of choice; there's lots of bars in Barrio Barretto, where I spent all my time (I did not make it to Baloy Beach or Olongapo or Calapandayan). To my eye the quality of the girls did not suffer by comparison with Angeles, which I visited a few days later. And besides the enjoyable seaside setting (for what it's worth, since it's nothing special by Philippines beach standards), I also liked that it just felt more laid-back than Angeles.
I had arrived at the Arizona International Resort in Barrio Barretto by taxi after my morning flight into Clark. (I arranged a car and driver from Margarita Station for P 2,600, and since they cannot pick up at the airport I took the 50 peso jeepney outside the Clark terminal to Jollibee outside the Main gate, convenient since I took out cash there, and made the short walk to Margarita). The ride from Angeles to Subic went smoothly, as did check-in at Arizona (excellent service there). Once I got settled into my room I looked forward to arranging some afternoon action from the Arizona's floating bar, which seemed like one of my few daytime options (a big difference from Angeles).
The floating bar was one of the factors in my decision to stay at the Arizona International hotel. I liked it enough to extend my stay a day (it meant I had to switch from the ground floor to a nicer one on the second floor because it was short notice). But the rooms are a bit dated and I am not a fan of the blue paint and dark brown furniture. I do like that the Arizona feels like a local bar. Homey and comfortable, not meant to impress with lots of glitz. It felt more authentic for the Philippines monger tradition than the newly-built place I later stayed in Angeles.
More than walking into a regular bar, there's a sense of anticipation that builds when being pulled over on the rope ferry to the floating bar. There's also no way to slip in stealthily, so when I stepped on board I was immediately swarmed by girls, surrounded on three sides by girls in slinky red dresses once I sat at the bar. I had to dismiss the bartender's suggestion that I buy lady drinks for all of them (the lady drinks here and elsewhere in Subic are actually pretty cheap, at least compared to Angeles).
I was lucky that one of the girls was a short cutie appropriately named "Honey," and I directed my lady drink to her and the others left with a farewell smile. While I enjoyed her stroking my hand and rubbing my shoulders, Honey didn't have much to say and this got kind of boring. I know, how tough could it be to drink a beer in balmy sea breezes while being caressed by a scantily clad 20-ish year old cutie, but sometimes the fantasy wears thin!
This is where Summer came in. Summer had been a singer in a band that performed abroad (Singapore, Jakarta, etc.), and had the big personality and charisma of someone used to the stage. She was in her 30's and not svelte, but had terrific eyes and a great smile. But it was her wit that lit things up, making up for dull Honey.
After some beer and banter on the boat I took them both off in the late afternoon for a threesome. It really did not live up to what I had in mind, though. Despite what Summer had been saying about an earlier threesome experience with a Swedish couple she and Honey were not the electric pair I had imagined. On my first night on the town on Barrio Barretto I made the rounds of most of the bars to check the scene; cheap drinks made checking out a lot of places an affordable option. On a Wednesday night they weren't so full. I started out by taking a look into Score bat at Arizona, and it's a regret that I did not spend more time there that night (since I was heading out to check out the bars on National Highway) or other nights, since there was some good talent there. I did like the complex that had Wet Spot downstairs and Rapscallions upstairs, since you could move freely among the bar-rooms and size up the talent. The talent at Rapscallions looked the best, in sexy evening dresses, but the one bubbly girl I bought a drink got less so when I proposed long-time so I left. Flash Rats had some of the best atmosphere, between the girls-next-door talent, good music, friendly waitresses (I was tempted to barfine a chubby but cute one), and chook chicken raffles. Generals Command Post, where I had an excellent BLT sandwich one afternoon (only couple of waitresses there in the afternoon), was like a tiny neighborhood bar or VFW post. Bunny Ranch and Catwalk revealed a pattern I saw at a few places: one incredibly hot / cute girl on stage surrounded by mediocre coworkers.
On my first night I ended up at neighboring Coco Lips and 20/20, which had both gotten some good reviews, currently and in their previous incarnations. At Coco Lips I spotted a cutie in a dress sitting alone quietly, a contrast to the silly antics of the more sexily dressed girls on stage. She was in her mid 20's but new to the bar scene, but too reserved and so I moved on next door. 20/20 had a nice selection of cuties in bikinis, and two quickly came over to give me company and get ladies drinks. I did not mind this, but what I did was the unattractive and annoying waitress who tried to massage me and ply me for drinks. To my knowledge there are 3: Arizona, Blue Rock & Treasure Island floating bars (am I missing one?) . They're all open from around noon until sunset (or so). I recall Treasure Island and Arizona are double deckers, while Blue Rock is just one floor. I took the Subic shuttle for $1200 round trip. I know there is a big bus that is a little cheaper, I think $1000 round trip, but the Subic shuttle departure time worked better for me. Leaving A / see at 13:00 and leaving Subic for the return at 10:00. The shuttle picked me up at the hotel. The shuttle is a van and there was only one other passenger both going and coming back. I could see if the van was crowded, the leg room would be very confining. But since there was only two of us, we could stretch our legs sitting sideways. The van dropped me off at Harley's hotel. Small but comfortable room right on the beach. Although I didn't swim because I read a lot about how polluted the water was, though many local's were swimming in the water. If I ever go back, I would get a hotel with a pool attached. But at the same time, the rooms here are very cheap. Just a bit over $30.00 usd.
After settling in my room, I wanted to walk the main road to see where all the bars were, so I could tell how far everything was from my hotel. Walking back from the restaurant to the hotel, I really started to feel sluggish. Once back at the hotel, I had to lay down and rest. I was either dehydrated or was suffering from heat stroke. Unless you are into technical diving and exploring wrecks or have business at the Subic Freeport Zone, give Subic a miss. Move on, there is nothing to see here. Many of the hotels and bars are owned by fat, poorly educated, rough looking, tattooed Australian men in their 50's and 60's. They think they are single handedly keeping the Philippines economy afloat with their shit hole establishments. Even the so called 'resorts' are run down hovels you would not put your mother-in-law in. What I hate the most is the attitude of these Australian cowboys. They think they are the experts in sophisticated, international standard hospitality with their baked beans on toast offerings, spaghetti and meat balls and Australian football beamed in. Most of the owners and aged customers are always drunk. I pity the poor Pinays who have to put up with these assholes. Most of the Pinays are young enough to be their grandchildren.
The bars are nothing special. They are just rougher versions of the perimeter bars in AC. The quality is not so good and they are not professionally managed either.
If you want to go mongering in the Philippines, you can't beat AC. LA Cafe in Ermita, Manila is also a lot of fun and if you cannot pick up a hot chica there in 5 minutes, you are probably already dead.

I was at Subic Freeport Zone for work for 2 weeks and I visited every bar on the Barrio strip. They are all boring as hell with about 7 girls each and about 2 customers. In my opinion, but YMMV, the Flash Rat is probably the best bar in Subic. The mamasan there is absolutley fuckin' gorgeous. She reminded me of Naomi Campbell. AC is not known any longer for guaranteed LT so that's one of Subic's traits LT, things change though, I hope the Subic bar managers keep the LT traditions but it is in the ladies hands whether she stays all night.
As for the talent I saw in a dozen bars it was average w / an exception here and there. I liked my BFs and these ladies performed well. I know some guys are more demanding so I don't think Subic is for them.
The hotels are okay, Harley's looks more than decent a block and a half away from the bars. I stayed at the pricey Sheavens and will not do so again. Harley's rates were around 1500 p, decent room. There are a few other hotels I would consider around this price range so it's not that bad hotel wise. The view from Harley's is quite nice and has a great vibe. The food in Subic is decent too.

I always stay at the Wild Orchid beach side rooms directly off Baloy Beach. It is overpriced, but it is also the best hotel in the area and has 2 large swimming pools, three bars, and two restaurants. The pool never closes at night and I like to invite my girls over to spend the afternoon by the pool. They in turn usually ask to bring along a girlfriend or two. It is all good. A while back I heard that the Lewis Grand was going to build a hotel overlooking Baloy Beach near Sheavens and Harley's, but closer to National Hwy. I wonder what happened to that project?

I plan to go to Pundaquit the next time I visit Subic and then explore Camara island, Nagsasa Cove and Sinlanguin Cove (beaches). The town is off the beaten path and has a rural setting. About 10 minutes off the highway, natives and some expats scattered about. As I was leaving the area I drove by an expat bar and saw a friendly face. I pulled over for a SML and chatted w / and english guy sitting at a counter facing the dirt road. We talked about early english rock and what it's like to live in such a remote spot. He liked it and mentioned it's only 30/40 minutes from the ladies in Subic, (a great dude by the way). Taking in the scene it was a bucolic landscape, little kids, animals, many friendly faces, etc.
The Pandaquit beach was alright, the water a nice shade of blue but there was some trash in the surf, not much but some. I didn't go in. I found out that the big attraction is the island a mile off the beach. It looks quite spectacular w / beautiful sandy shores. A day trip w / a couple of BGs would be fun, transportation to the island is ready, not sure of the cost, probably a 1000 p RT. I will do this when I have 5 days to spend in Subic providing the weather is good.
I also went further north to San Narciso and Crystal Beach Resort and was not impressed. Maybe w / more time in the area I would have found the better spots for frolicking on the beach. So I headed back to Subic after this and my shoulders were killing me from carrying my beach bag on my shoulders. I almost had to stop and take a breather but I didn't. To my surprised I out drove all the filipinos in front of me, squeezing through the tightest openings and getting in front of the slow moving smoke belching trucks. I love renting scooters for an adventure like this, it would have been more fun w / a buddy but that's for another day too.

So I've been here 3 days and I am having a pretty good time.
This is my first visit to Subic after two visits to Angeles in 2012.
After 3 nights here are a few impressions.
-those that don't think there are no hot girls here are way off. True knockout 9's and 10's are hard to find and yes the go-go bars have tons of 4's and 5's and maybe worse. But I've visited about 12 clubs here so far and have always have found a some 7's and a few 8's.
-the lack of 9's and 10's in my opinion is made up by the superb GFE most girls give here.
- every Friday at 6 pm there is a dance competition held between 10 of the clubs and is a must attend.
Between 6-8 pm local drinks for the guys are free and lady drinks are discounted and there are some free appetizers. The American guy that owns these places is a nice guy and runs a good club.
-bar fines (early work release here) have been 2000 pesos (44 USD).
-staying at the Wild Orchid. Decent hotel, nice pool for hanging out with the ladies but a little pricey. Deluxe room $88.

GWhen you drive a car on the "highway" from Bario, you pass the hill where it turns left to the beach and hotels, carry on more then 1 km. Till the road make a slight right, on the left is the junction going to WhiteRock Hotel, then you see a red coulored building on the right hand side with a lot of cars in front, at least after 8 pm. Thats it.
But don't get too excited. Most of girls are star fishes, catering for locals and Koreans. Don't be shy and head for the front tables in sniffing distance, sit down, have your beer (I think I had to buy 2 as minimum) enjoy what is that dance routine and head back to Baloy.

The posted fare is 3570 p, but they will expect you to pay tolls both way, and that will bring it up to 4500-4700 p (to Olongapo, maybe a couple of hundred more all the way to Baretto). The White taxi's are a good choice if you have a lot of stuff or several people, and don't want to book a car. Sometimes there will be a wait for a taxi. Be aware that some of the drivers may not know how to go to Subic. Have them drive like they are going to Angeles, and then catch the SCTEX to Subic, instead of getting off at Clark / AC. Its not hard.
Bus.
Victory Bus. Pasay Bus terminal. Use the "Olongapo" or "Iba" Victory Liner bus and best to use the one that runs on the Subic Expressway (via SCTEX) there will be a sign in the front window. Fare is about 160 p. Last I heard the schedules are 3 am, 4:30 am, 5:30 am, then every two hours until 5 pm. (that seems early to stop running though?
Get to Pasay Bus Terminal via taxi (200 p), or use the airport shuttle bus and get out at Terminal 3 and walk to the station. Also Victory Liner has announced a shuttle bus service. I haven't used it. Supposed to pick up at all NAIA terminals from 5 am-10 pm. 20 p fare, look for "HM Transport Shuttle Bus". This service may be very slow however.
Victory Liner will stop at Harbor Point in Subic Freeport, get off here if you are staying in the Freeport. Then the bus stops at the Victory Liner station in Olongapo. From here you can take a trike into Olongapo. (20-40 p).
Victory Liner station to Barrio Baretto / Baloy Beach:
Jeepney: walk across the street and get in a Blue Jeepney. Give him 20 p and you will get change back. I believe its 12 p to Baretto. Only do this if you travel light.
Trike: a trike can take you to Baretto for about 150-200 p.
Taxi: get off at Harbor Point, white SBMA taxi's are nearby. They will take you to Baretto I am not sure but the fare may be 200-300 p.
5 Star IIRC Bus. Some people have used this service from their Northbound Terminal near Ortigas, to Dau (near Angeles City), then take a Victory Liner from Dau on to Olongapo. The advantage is their station is on the northbound side of the road, while Victory Liner has to make a you-Turn around Mall of Asia.
A trip from NAIA to Subic could take 3-4 hours or.
Going to NAIA from Subic.
Taxi. White SMBA taxi's can be found near Harbor Point on Subic Freeport, and around SM City in Olongapo nearby. You can negotiate a trip to NAIA. There are also unofficial "tourist" cars around.
Van Service. You could use the scheduled van service from Treasure Island or Arizona Resort. Or Beeway Travel.
Victory Liner from Olongapo. Again, look for the bus that uses SCTEX. Allow for plenty of time as twaffic can be very slow in Manila, and airport security needs time to put bullets in your luggage. Allow 4-6 hours, or more! Traveling on Sunday is the fastest. Some have gone to Manila the night before, and stayed at places like Sogo or Air Force One.
First Victory liner via SCTEX leaves Olongapo at 310 am and the last one (to Cubao) leaves at 8:20 pm. I've got photos of the schedule I may post later.

Every once in a while I like to point out that there are two threads for this area -- Olongapo and Subic City. Treasure Island Hotel and the foreigner-friendly bars are all located inside the Olongapo municipal boundaries. The beach areas are closer to Subic City than downtown Olongapo. The two threads should be merged to avoid confusion. The bars of Subic City are not for the faint of heart. Baloy beach or Barreto are search terms that should get you other info related to the location the Cup tries to describe. Of course both municipalities are located at the deep-water port that is called Subic Bay -- former naval base for the US 7th fleet (in Olongapo of course).

I posted earlier about my Manila trip, so here goes about my trip to Subic!
I took the bus line from Manila to Subic. I am not sure of the line, but it was recommended by staff at the hotel. It was from one of the bus stations in Manila, I took a cab to get there. It made a short stop in Angeles, then one stop at the bus station in Subic. If I remember correctly, the trip from the station in Manila to Subic took about 2 hours.
From the bus station, I took a trike to the Wild Orchard hotel. On my return to Manila, the hotel arranged the bus. Is was a little more expensive. Not really that much, but it had several stops in Subic, then several stops in Angeles, so it took longer, and in addition, got caught in the late traffic in Manila. If I make this trip again, I will use the commercial buses.
The Wild Orchard was very satisfactory to me, a big nice pool, decent restaurant, a good bar. And the rooms were spacious and clean. It was also about a ten minute walk to the Bario Barretta area. I really didn't read that much on the forum about Subic before I went, but just wanted to get out of Manila for a few days. At the pool, someone told me that the Hideout in the Bario was the place to go. I was only in Subic for two days, so I mostly wanted to relax, so I hung out by the pool and beach most of the daytime hours. No sure what girls are available during the day. There weren't many people on the beach near the hotel, but I did make eye contact with a couple of girls.
What little reading I did on the forum prior to this trip indicated that there weren't many young girls in the Bario. At the Hideout, that was not true at all. All the girls appeared to be 18 to early 20's. I usually prefer a freelancer, DIA girl in the 30's, not any walking around town, and not much time to connect on FC, DIA, etc. , even though I had made a few contacts before the trip. In the early evening, I went to some of the bars outside the entrance to the hotel. A few bands playing, no single girls that I saw. Mostly couples. I went back to the Hideout, had several drinks, then selected a girl I had seen last night. Similar in build to the other girls, but she looked more "Asian", meaning if she told me she was Chinese, I wouldn't have argued. Her skin was more like a Chinese girl, not quite as tan as some of the Phil girls.
She was also about 20 yrs old. Much better skills, good BJ, multiple positions, multiple shots. She stayed the night also. I paid about $2500 total, including the bar fine.
I think at this place, the bar fine is up to the girl and part of the total fee. I would have to read up more, but you agree to the bar fine before leaving, then if you give them anything else, that is up to you. It seems that the bar fine + $500 pesos is standard for good service.
I would spend time in Subic again, maybe back track to Angeles. I is nice and relaxing, maybe more busy other times of the year. I didn't hit any other clubs, or see if there were freelance places, but this was more than enough.

I spent a few days at Baloy Beach last month. I picked the Mangrove Resort, from various reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. Nice room on the second floor (next to the pool!) the staff were very friendly, food and service excellent. The Mangrove is the first hotel you come to along the beach road, it has a nice terrace and a small "private " beach too. I had planned the first night for mongering and then two more with my DIA friend from last year. When I arrived I went for a walk along the beach road, and was tempted by the Blue Rock floating bar, so took the 50 metre raft trip. Nice bar and some friendly girls on there too. I started chatting with one and bought her a lady drink. I brought up the subject of a session with her, ST or LT, and she wasn't too bothered. Admittedly I'm not the greatest catch, in my 60's, slightly overweight, but she wouldn't go until she got to know someone quite well. It seems that some of them are just there to take their cut of the lady drink, about 80 p a time. I don't know how many they would do in a shift, but its an interesting angle and shows again the ideas we have heard about the girls getting more choosy. Anyway I left her to it after a couple more drinks, having taken her number for later. About 8 pm I took a trike (plenty outside all these hotels) and went down to the Wet Spot group of bars to check out the girls and get some food in the hotel in that complex. Steak was average (guess I should have expected that) and I wasn't taken with any of the girls either. I returned to the Mangrove, and tried messaging the floating bar girl to see if she fancied a romp, but no reply, so a night alone. Drove my 150 CC rental bike from AC to Subic. Took 2 hours, because you have to go through San Fernando and then through the mountains in Ologapo. Nice ride, but a little dirty, have to wash your whole body when you arrive.
Rented the Subic Pearl Inn Jacuzzi suite with porn on channel 12 and a nice mirror on the ceiling. Met an 18 year old student in Ologapo and the rubber sheets came in handy! Tried to give her some money after the deed but she got pissed about that. I said it was just shopping money, then she opened her purse and showed my her wallet was filled with 1000 notes. She said her family is well off, so I will definitely stay in contact with her.
She had to go back home before 8 pm and then met her the next day and we had dinner at Blue Rock and and went Jetskiing for a few hours. Jetskiing starts at 3500-3800 an hour but you can easily negotiate down to 2000 an hour if you walk down to the beach. Good experience!

Having mongered in Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, all of these countries were more expensive on LT action. The only other "well known" place I can't think of that compare pricewise is Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Very reasonable for hostess girls in bar, $35ST to $50 LT is about the average.

I recently spent a couple days in Subic. I did not check out the girls on the floating bars. Flash Rat girls were friendly and only 1600 pisos LT. I saw a tall weak 7 I liked at Office but she declined the bar fine. That was the first bar I hit since it was close to my hotel. Over a double drink I asked her does she barfine and would she barfine with me. She said yes. I hesitated to pull the trigger because I hadn't explored the other bars yet. After checking out Dryden group and stumbling upon my favorite bar in the PI a few miles away I decided to return to see Kat at Office 3 hrs. Later a couple hours before they closed. She declined the 2000 pisos barfine so I decided I didn't want to do any business with that bar and their mamasans. If she was honest upfront I may have considered a different girl from the bar. The girls at Dryden group were mostly avg. I didn't realize a hot spinner was already with a customer and she was probably the only one worth a barfine. In the end my favorite bar in PI was too expensive even though I bought 7 double lady drinks there. I settled on a nice chick from Flash Rat. This bar was great because all you have to do is make eye contact and the girls will come closer. Subic has nice looking ladies but may not be worth continual travel, time, and lodging. The food was below AC standards. I wouldn't recommend hiring a girl from AC or MNL and bringing her here since there are already many girls here unless it is a wife, fiancée, or she is dynamite in the sack. The beach is avg. With about 5 persistent vendors. Trike drivers let you name your price so trikes are cheaper here and not the ripoff like AC. I had decided to throw in the towel on a girl until I gave flash rat a last minute try. My first night I went home alone. Without my fave bar being here and flash rat my trip would've been a wash coupled with I couldn't get a jet ski for 2000 pisos.

Subic continues to be the destination of choice for me when tired of trolling for trollops along AC's legendary, hawker-laden Walking Street. Treasure Island continues to be my choice of hotels even though I forgot that the Kokomo-operated floating bar and -house does not resurface until Novermber. Bummer. However the floating bar girls and mama are working at a club on the strip appropriated named Landlocked. The cover band at Rum Jungle was kind enough to let me perform Tom Petty's Breakdown with them and to my surprise no one threw any beer bottles at me hahah. Now for the fun stuff. Go to Midnight Rambler and check out the talent. I got a real nice one there for 1500 BF + 1 K tip and she was a lot of fun / great body 34 B-24-35. Mmmm masarap. I noticed some good ones in The Office, too. General's Command Post is my favorite day bar despite the Aussies haha. Cute bartenders, food was better than average. Drink specials for you thirsty guys. My next report will be in the Cebu thread so the thread nazis can relax and not have a heart attack if I put it here.

Just thought I would remark about my two nights visit to Subic. Stayed at the Arizona Resort, which is way overpriced for the rooms they provide. But they had couple of decent girls in their bar. Since I was there while an end tail of a typhoon was visiting, the bar made a nice dry destination. I have made the mistake of bringing the wrong girl with me for the two nights, but live and learn. First night we checked out couple of bars, but mostly stayed in the hotel bar. Bars were quiet, and the girls were so so looking, but not as many fuglies as I expected. Ended up spending my first night with my regular. Next day we went to a mall and bought some clothes for my friend (2000 pesos). Food in the hotel was decent, and during my last night here, we went to check out rest of the bars in the vicinity. My friend knew that I wanted to fuck other girls, so we went out hunting. Not many girls, but at the Rum Jungle there were couple of real young lookers. The one I wanted said she was on mens. Ok. Eventually, ended up in a bar where there was one acceptable, cute looking spinner. I decided to take her back to my room for 2000 pesos. My friend slept on the floor, and I enjoyed myself with the spinner. If it would not rain non-stop, and different time of the year, the visit would have been more enjoyable. Not sure if I would return, but still had fun.

I did not feel unsafe that time, but as everybody knows things have changed a little bit with Duterte and his drug war.

I was visiting Subic / Olongapo area last year and had a great time. Plenty of bars with barfine 1500 -2000 pesos.
I did not feel unsafe that time, but as everybody knows things have changed a little bit with Duterte and his drug war.
I am a 50 year old Norwegian and no, I don't use drugs and I am not talking about dark side streets at 3 AM.
Just wandering if anybody feel any different "temperature" or if things are still the same. Also planing to go to Cebu & Palawan.I think these are reasonable questions and framed thoughtfully. But, a suggestion: why not pay $20 for an ISG membership and then send a Private Message to ConquerorVal, Freezone, and D Cups? They could probably give you fairly up-to-date impressions.

I have been to Subic before. What is a downer is that all the activity is during the evenings / night. Action winds up around 1 am. But I like to find one woman for the day and another different one for the night. Where can I find women for the day? Not dating sites, etc. Paid ones.

December 29: (Day 5: Thursday).
It took a good 3 hours for us to reach Subic Bay. This was my first visit hence I had booked Wild Orchid basis of recommendation from FM members. I found it to be quite a walk from the main strip. Maybe next time I would like to stay at a hotel on the main strip.
I walked the entire strip to get a good idea of where all joints are in Bario Baretto. Took an hour minutes to cover the entire strip both sides at a leisurely pace. Weather was very pleasant.
During the walk I had heard some music coming from a bar called Cheap Charlies and I had decided to check it later. I walked up the two floors and was greeted by some ladies. The owner a Scottish gentleman was also present playing DJ. Good chap. I had a few beers here, bought some for the girls who were free. Surprisingly the beers here were the cheapest I have ever had in Philippines, 25 peso for a SML. The LDs were 100 peso but again cheap comparatively. Nothing to fancy me in terms of bar fine. Hence didn't bother asking. However one of the girl sitting with me told me that all girls there were waitresses and would go only if they liked the guy. I didn't care as I found no one to my liking.
I started bar hopping around 9 pm. First was the Dryden group, nothing much there. Spend time sipping a beer in the bar on the right which had most of the girls but nothing to my fancy. Then tried few bars on the main strip, enter, watch and exit. It seemed as if the girls had gone to their provinces. Ended up in Vodoo during the multiple up and down walks. Liked a girl there and decided to BF her. The BF was 2000 peso. We took a trike to hotel, 40 peso. "F" was a single mom, slightly thick around the middle. She had a good attitude and it did click for me. Showered separately and got down to business. It was a decent one. Basic BBBJ, two positions and some light kissing. We finished and ordered for some food. TV for her and sleep for me. I was woken up by F at around 8 am. She wanted to leave. Hell I had forgotten asking her what time she would leave. She tried to get me into mood for a pop and did succeed. I managed to get my morning wood serviced albeit at a faster pace than I would have liked. She went away with a 100 peso tip. I went to sleep for a few more hours .
Overall experience: 6. 5/10.
December 30: (Day 6: Friday).
Having missed breakfast at Hotel I walked towards "Sit and Bull". The walk made me hungrier. It is indeed a good place with a lot of choices. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to get some good and hearty meal. Portions are quite generous as well.
While walking back got called by girls into a bar called Cowboy if I remember well. Liked one cebuana gal there, didn't matter hence did not verify. 2000 BF and 2 drinks later "G" and I we were walking towards the hotel. Having stuffed myself I wasn't getting into the act. So we lazed and fooled around for some time. After an hour I was ready. We did manage a decent session albeit with a poor BJ. Once done G was ready to get back to her bar being early evening. I tipped her 100 peso and let her go.
Overall experience: 7/10.
Started my evening again with few beers at Cheap Charlies. Bar hopping again across the highway trying to cover bars on one side then switching over to the other side. Eventually ended up in winging pussy. Had a good time there. Surprisingly this was one of the expensive bars in Bario Baretto. LDs were 300 peso each and BF was 3000 peso. I had a rollicking time with two girls, did end up spending some dough being my last night in Subic bay. I BF one of the girls. "H" was an amazing girl. We had a wild night drinking and having fun in the room. Two pops and she left in the morning around 10 am with 200 peso tip. She had to go with her friend to shop for their New Year party later in the evening. I was equally excited as I was going to AC. This was going to be my 3rd New Year in AC.
Overall experience: 8/10.
Some personal thoughts about Bario Baretto:
It is an extremely laid back place, I would compare it with Perimeter road in terms of infrastructure and bars.
Prices are already as good as AC, Perimeter and Fields both. Girls, alcohol and food.
I am not a beach buff hence nothing for me to do in the day time. Other might like lounging on the beach.
It's a small place hence maybe the town knows where all you have been. H jokingly asked me why wasn't I with the girl from earlier night and was everything alright.
I did not have any girl refuse me barfine. Issue was with the choices available. Maybe I was there during a not so good time of the year.
I don't see any reason to return in the near future as what I want is easily available in AC in terms of choices and prices.

I had a 3 day visit to Baloy Beach a couple of weeks ago. I planned to meet my GF from a couple of past visits second day, so decided to stay in Treasure Island for the first night and then transfer to Wild Orchid Resort. Treasure Island is a great place, really nice outside bar leading down to the beach and floating bar with some nice girls, but the room I had was not great, clean enough but very basic. I was also a bit concerned to be at the end of the upstairs corridor with no possible exit in case of fire, even the window was too small to escape from! Didn't find anyone to take my fancy so slept alone. Second day moved to the Wild Orchid Resort. This could be a great hotel, but is showing age and neglect in some areas. The pool and bar area and lobby is great, also the beach bar and barbecue really nice, room was ok, much better than TI, but the children's play area / pools and crazy golf were both closed and overgrown. I think the big problem is not many customers, I was there in February and saw very few people around. My GF arrived late afternoon announcing that she had period pain, so we had some food and I sent her home later. I checked out wechat to see if anyone was around to satisfy my need, and found one, unfortunately she also had her mens so offered BJ only. Then she decided that she could bring her friend along too, who didn't have the flag flying, so I said OK just send your friend. Said they were in Olongapo and would come in taxi together, so I agreed to pay that, but just taking girl 2 inside. They turned up about 5 minutes later, so must have been in Barrio strip I reckon, anyway girl 1 was a bit of a minger, but 2 was lovely, so a lucky break there! We'd agreed on 2000 all night and I was happy with my choice. Up in the room she was great, pretty, petite, about 22, just how I like my bedmates, and we had a great time. Then after the deed, she decided she needed to go home, as she had a kid to look after. Actually she seemed quite embarassed to say that abd break the deal, so we settled on 1500 and she left, I'd say we were both happy. Next night (last in Subic) I decided to go for a wander along the strip. Someone here mentioned that the Balloy hotels are a little way from the strip, but its always easy to take a trike to the far end, Arizona resort for example, then walk back and check out a few bars, starting at the Arizona! I did this, but again did not find the one who was going to make my night, so I slept alone again. I was going back to AC with some promises and re-visits, so I was happy to save myself. I just found the whole "Subic" scene to be very quiet in terms of tourists. In the morning at 11 I took the Southern Cross bus back to AC. I have always used Swaggy Bus in the past, including travelling to Subic this time, I think the Southern Cross is a bit more comfortable especially if its full, as it is a proper coach not minibus with cramped seating. The cost is the same at 500, and SC leaves at 11 instead of 12. Will drop you at or very near your hotel too.

As per a recent conversation on the DR forum regarding my latest trip, there is agreement that price is no indicator of experience or service rendered. In the DR, it was a totally inverse relationship, something I also encountered in Thailand. The best services were rendered by girls at the lower end.
Its not that I mind paying at the upper end of the price range for services that are already dirt cheap by Western standards. I couldn't be happier if someone told me, "Just pay twice the price of virtually nothing and you will get an experience that is twice as good". But, it doesn't work that way. I am getting the impression that providers quoting prices on the upper end in the places I have visited are trying to gouge or take advantage of the monger. Whereas those on the bottom end of the price scale are usually happier with what you pay them, if you throw in a tip for their good service. I wouldn't be surprised if the guys with a lot of experience in the PI will echo my sentiments. Or no? Please chime in if you have an opinion on this.
YMMV but tips are normally appreciated by the girls regardless of their country. Sometimes I overpay, too, in DR or PI or BKK or wherever I am. For example, in Santo Domingo I give my main squeeze 4000 P, twice the normal rate, but she is drop dead gorgeous 27 years old 42 DDD-26-36 and treats me like a porn king! Like a lot of guys I have a roster of regulars that I see in each city / country. Of course the girls also appreciate non-monetary gifts and romantic gestures. Thought I would try and be helpful to any that are considering a visit to Subic. For me I liked Subic for the cheaper BFs and the seaside nature of the town. Well the seaside nature is still intact but the cheaper BFs are a thing of the past. The Subic bar fine system now is that there are no bar fines. The bar is not in the equation any longer. The dancers are all independent contractors and their prices vary from lady to lady. From the Wet Spot I was told by a bar girl off the premises that the cost is 3000 p. The next night from the same bar a different dancer said 2,500 p was her price. I have heard during my time there last week that 5,000 p is also asked for. Of course you can negotiate but the inmates are running the asylum there. That's how it is now.
A smart monger might go in late around midnight and shoot for a reasonable price when the dancers are tired of dancing or boozed up. Hope this helps.

If the bars are letting the girls set their own prices I can see a shorter stay coming. I wonder what the split is for the bars? Maybe they have all said we want 1000 P and you can keep whatever you negotiate above that, hence the stupid money being asked. I say stupid because I am guessing that the girls are no better looking since I was last there. Anyone else been there recently who knows what the hell is going on? That would be Wet Spot, Lollypop, Rapscallion, Rum Jungle, and a couple of others that I forget right now. Yes this place would be the high end in pricing.
Dryden sponsors a Sons of Baccus dance contest every Friday at 6 pm. 600 p for all you can drink and some finger food. Ladies drinks at Dryden are about 150 p I believe. Lots of fun if you've never seen it. At Dryden, if you pay for your drink, you can walk around from bar to bar. Weekends there is a band playing in Lollypop.

IMHO other good places not to miss are Arizona Score, Mango's Bar, The Office, Winking Pussycat, Hot Zone, maybe Flash Rat. But there are more.
Most places are indexed in Google Maps now, but you may have to use a name search. You can walk up and down the strip in an evening easy, I often walk from Arizona to Treasure Island and back.
Mango's is showing F1 on TV every Sunday, but Harleys on Baloy Beach Road is fun for sports as well, several TVs. Arizona Score bar is also big on sports. Mangos and Arizona also seem good places to rent watercraft and go on diving trips.
All bars have a happy hour, and discount cards are available (good for bars, hotels, and meals) sometimes if you ask around.
For food: at the Dryden Complex, their new Mexican Cantina is very good. Also, DaBar (used to be something else. Everything used to be something else). Across from Alaska Club near La Union street, has a particularly fancy menu. More straight up meals, and good meals are at Arizona Resort, Mangos, and of course Sit-and-Bull.
If you meet your future ex-wife, you may want to go down to Subic Freeport and enjoy the tourist activities and good restaurants there.

Southeaster.If you plan on 2 weeks (a lot of time) I would have a back up plan in place. The dancer quality is okay w / a few standouts. The bottom line on BF cost is probably P2000 which isn't too bad but you will have to negotiate to get to that price. I was probably unlucky in my choices as I had 3 duds in a row during my 3 night stay.
The highlight of the trip was my hotel, The Mangrove Resort. For their least expensive room (by the pool) it was $50 but it was a great room w / the nicest bed and pillows I ever slept on. I like the view from that area in Subic as well, very beautiful. Their breakfast was also very good and reasonably priced. Trike rides anywhere in town from there are P50. Good luck.

There is a group Barhop in Barrio Barretto. Next Saturday, 22 Apr. 7 pm. Meet at Arizona Score bar. We are going to cover about 7-9 bars up and down the highway.
Nevertheless, this might be a good time to once again suggest that the two threads be combined.
Almost all discussion on the "Subic City" thread is not about Subic City. It is about the Olongapo City and or Subic Bay area. Barrio Barreto.
I recommend that a combined thread be called "Subic Bay". Subic Bay is the body of water that includes Olongapo City and Subic city and all the areas a guy would or could find women.
My first trip into Subic Bay was USN, navigation team, and it was absolutely mind bogging.

I recommend that a combined thread be called "Subic Bay". Subic Bay is the body of water that includes Olongapo City and Subic city and all the areas a guy would or could find women.
My first trip into Subic Bay was USN, navigation team, and it was absolutely mind bogging.To X Man.

I've only been to subic 5 times but in my experience never barfine a girl late at night in subic you better take them out as soon as they start and she can leave anytime as long as I get 2-3 pops I prefer they leave early so I can go back to the bars. Also get their phone numbers and text them right away something like "hey this is xxx let me know if you want to meet again" they will most likely text you the next day and you can negotiate before or after work short time for like 500 peso just be extra careful with the clingers if you buy a girl two drinks she will claim you now. Cute will do for beautiful and one kid that hasn't ruined her body is OK. Instead 90% chubby to fat, plain or even ugly. Even the few I see that guys have barfined are seldom really attractive. I had a pretty GRO hit me up for a drink in one of the Dryden bars. I thought what the hell why not? She was 26, had 4 kids, showed me her ravaged stomach and informed me the BF was 2500! Almost fell off my stool.
Office had some real lookers last year. Now nothing. To top it off the mamasan ripped me off on my change when I declined to buy a drink for any of the mutts in there and then denied it. Great way to drum up business. Flash rat, mutts. In the dozen or so bars I have set foot in I can seriously say that I would only pay for at most one girl per bar.

I was in Subic diving for a week over the Songkran period. Its only a little over an hour from Angeles, and a lot more laid back. I dived with the Arizona shop. Water quality was decent out in the bay, not filmy like some comments I had read elsewhere. Good for wreck diving, including an F4 Phantom on the seabed 42 m down.
Bar wise, there was the Score bar at Arizona, a mixed bunch of girls in there, including some hot waitresses, barfine was only 1,500. Other bars that had good line-ups down the road was the Office, and T-Rose was very "hands-on". WeChat had a few girls on looking for customers too. Most bars don't open till 6 pm. Lots of nice restaurants there, probably better food variety in Angeles. You can't beat Angeles for the sheer number of girls, but Subic has its rustic charm and is definitely worth a visit.

I recently spent 2 weeks there and as noted before was not too impressed. No models is an understatement. I went in to many bars and while you can find the occasional looker there is a good chance even she has a kid. Now that is OK with me. If I can't tell then it really doesn't much matter. A couple of changes for the worse. Many girls are now only wanting to do ST even if you take them early and some as mentioned before are asking 2500 for it! What? You may as well be in AC. The best line ups IMO were in 20/20 and the office and even then it depends on time of day and what day some of the girls have off, so don't judge a bar by just one visit.
Fewer bars open daytime, in fact I think only Trose opens at 2. Cheap Charlies is, well, cheap, but there is no barfine and it seems the girls don't go ST even off hours? Maybe it was just me but I ran into another guy who has spent 6 years there who said the same thing. The girls are just there to milk drinks out of punters. Sorry but if I wanted to just talk I would have gone out with one of my mates!
Over all it has now fallen down the list for me. I spent around a week near Perimeter in AC and found it cheaper with a wider variety of places to eat. Barfines are 1500 to 2000 which is now 500 less than the most expensive (for how long?) in Subic.
More bad news. More Ks are showing up and rumor has it a big place going up smack in the middle of BB is going to cater to them. If that happens the place will be fucked. May as well just go for the diving!

Been a while since I did a report so here goes. This might be posted on other boards so no need for internet detecting.
I stayed at the pub for a few days, it seems to be a good enough place. Close enough to walk everywhere. I had a deluxe room, large TV with a shitload of channels, strong AC, good bed, fan, fridge and free hot / cold water in the hallway. Not a lot of customers now so the crew cleaned up the room in no time when requested. Tasty food available in the attached resto.
Most bars are nice but not a lot of staff around as there is also not a lot of customers. The only places that were shitty was the dryden bars, the girls always quote 3 k and then won't back down, they just don't give a shit and are there to drinkslut it. Fully consistent with previous years, I'm sure the dryden guy will show up to call it lies but come on, all the reports coming out online over the years all complain about 2500 and more often 3000 quotes. It's impossible to deny that it's a trend. Tropical rose also lived up to it's shitty reputation, no news there. Bought a LD and the girl just left with it. Flash rat was skipped because of the the extortion's performed by waitresses there.
The office, voodoo, the place next to voodoo and mangos provided consistent good experiences. Had a provider from Mangos that was most excellent, top notch service in all ways, even tried to refuse the tip "no, only ST no need" but she had me so drained I insisted. The resto there is also still very good.

I currently live in Sihanoukville and the place is well on it's way to being fucked. The situation for girls has gone down in a big way. Venues closed or torn down, prices way up (I know, everywhere) and currently undergoing a mass invasion of Chinese and a construction boom and real estate takeover that leave one aghast. I am seriously considering moving, the big question is where.
I have considered VN, Panama, Ecuador, the PI and a couple of other places. I have thought about Baguio but even though I can't stand the heat that well it looks too cold and rainy / foggy. I have been to Subic 3 times in 2 years and it has gone from a place I liked immediately to a maybe now. My last visit I was unimpressed by the talent (girls obviously) and the way BF prices are rocketing up although I know if I lived there I would eventually get past this with regulars, doorknockers etc.
I like the costs but have not examined any rental opportunities. It is also very laid back to the point of boredom but I spend a lot of time on my own so that aspect doesn't bother me much.
2 basic questions: what ball park would I be looking at for a studio or 1 bedroom with cooking facilities, decent WiFi and a good cable package? I want AC even though I know electricity is a stupidly expensive as here. Secondly, I never thought much about it but I recall the area being quite hilly away from the beach. Does any one know if the hills are high enough to get any cooling advantage from elevation and are said hills within any easy drive and have any residential properties on them?

I am a lazy 56 and like swimming (hence the beach) and travel although that is wearing thin these days as you can imagine. Travel is not enjoyable any longer, mostly just a huge pain in the ass.

Southeaster.Since you are asking about this on the Subic thread then I assume you need input here.
1) The rental option is not cheap in Subic when you are comparing to Snooky, in both quality and in prices.
2) Both have beaches and the beaches in Snooky is far superior to Subic. Can't really even compare the 2.
3) Subic has hills but they are small hills so don't really have any difference in overall cooling. Would need something bigger like a small mountain to make a real difference.
4) Electricity in PI (in general is stupid expensive overall).
5) Price of girls (in general) was still cheaper in Snooky (as of 3 yrs ago) than in Subic.
Only things in common is:
1) both places are fairly relaxed as they are removed from the big urban setting.
2) both have beaches.
3) both have bars and girls available.
4) both are still cheaper than being home.

Southeaster.Problem with trying to get a place for $225 in Subic area that will fit a foreigners desires will be difficult. To give you an idea, a BG friend of mine living in Subic area rents a small 11/2 room shack with no window, cinder block 4 walls. Semi dirt floor half covered in plastic. One room is the bed room with just a small fan as no windows means no way to put an AC even if she could afford one. The outer small room is the dinning area with a small sink and small table with a portable burner for cooking. Outside is a small attach bathroom with really just a hole in the ground. She was paying about $125 with utilities. She shares this dump with another BG. OK, to be fair, I called this a dump as it didn't even meet the lowest of the lowest standards I have for a rental, but she said the place was OK place. So, the western standards and local standards varies greatly.
Also, the closer you are to any of the hotels, resorts or foreigner bars or the city of Olongopo (nearest major city to Subic), the more you will find foreigner quality rentals, but of course, higher the prices. As in almost anywhere in the world, the further away from the "action", the cheaper the rent but also more difficult to find better quality places as most will be for locals.

There are no more nude bars except maybe one or two owned by Filipinos. The biggest one is half way between Barretto and Subic. Can't remember the name of it though. But I've been there once or twice and it was at least 2 x the cost of any bars in Barretto, so its expensive for takeouts and LDs.
I am seriously considering moving, the big question is where.I would recommend Colombia. It can cost US $10 for a quickie with a decent looking girl. Cost of living is low.
Since they just recently signed the peace treaty with the FARC, the hordes of tourist haven't overrun the place.
I predict in 10 or 15 years, guys in the Colombian forum will whine about the good old days, just like they do in the Thailand, Cambodian, and Philippine threads.

There are ads currently offering studios with everything save electric for the same price as the dump you mention in your post. Yikes! Granted rainy season but still. Greenbud, I have considered Medellin and went there a few years back. It lacks at least 2 requirements of mine, cheap but decent wine and English! Every mamasan very adamant that no transactions take place in the bar, that is left to you and the girl to arrange between yourselves, I been told there was a recent clampdown so I guess that's there way around the clampdown.
It has got a bit quiter post Christmas but still theres some v hot chicas around.

SE.I've just finished 7 days of fun in Subic. As per my last couple of posts, my selections were made through PinaLove and FilipinoCupid. I didn't actually barfine anyone but I can report the following:
The bars were reasonably busy, especially considering my stay wrapped the Christmas period. There was certainly no shortage of selection. However, I didn't see any of RM's stunners. Plenty of cuties but, to me, no model quality that you see in AC or Manila.
Barfines technically no longer exist and bar staff, inc mama sans and waitresses, point blank refuse to discuss dollar figures instead saying it is a private discussion between the patron and the girl (s). Having said that the girls are quick to quote prices and they fell into several categories and were largely consistent across girls within each bar. Those who had a few pounds or years under them were sub 2 k, say 16-1800 p, the majority of the girls were 2-2500 p and a few in the Dryden bars were trying their luck at 3-3500 p.
Night 1 for me started with a late arrival on the Victory Liner from Clark. While on the bus I received a txt from a PL girl I had traded contacts with in Malapascua, asking if I had arrived yet. She soon agreed to drop around if I texted her upon checkin. She arrived and, while the face was not super pretty, I was very happy with the shrink wrapped body and 85 lb /34 see figure. She was a little reserved with a new acquaintance but it was an enjoyable time with multiple sessions throughout the night. She pretended not to notice the 2 k I put in the top of her purse and everyone parted happy indeed at about 11 the next morning.

She later texted saying that work had been cancelled (Christmas Day) and she was back home celebrating with her friends. I very kindly offered that if she wanted to come around again after finishing at home, I would be happy to give her my own Christmas present. All the tension now gone, she laughed at this and made her way back early that evening. Another all night session ensued and this time there was no hurry to get up as she had late work commitments. This time I said it wasn't fair to expect her to pay for taxis to be here and she accepted 500 p.
Night 5 was a return of Ms 34 Cee after another night of bar hopping with buddies. This time she was a lot more comfortable and familiar with me and the surroundings, even volunteering that she's quite submissive and happy to do anything I wanted to show her. I'm not into domineering nor degrading girls, but after a guiding video, she put up a sterling effort for her first tit-job. She also did her best effort at anal, taking a deep fingering, but that area will take some more pre stretching to allow the main event otherwise both of us will get injured. Again 2000 p was greatfully received with comments about being able to pay for lots of Christmas presents. Baloy beach, Bluerock floating bar, definitely the nicest bar of the 3 floaters and I bagged a little beauty from here, she ended up telling me she was quitting and wanted a relationship! Cheers RM. Nice to hear from people on the ground. I have visited your bar selection in the past except Rosies. Will have a look next visit. I normally saw something worthwhile in the Office each visit but was put off the place by the unfriendly and greedy mamasan (at least when I was there) and the reputation, deserved or not, of the girls being frequent runners. What happened?I was last weekend on Baloy beach, and both Floating bars were open. Kokomos FB has several nice girls, maybe around 10. Blue Rock FB has only waitresses. They are renovating the upper deck, probably this was damaged. Arizona FB at Barretto has not opened anymore. Maybe this was the destroyed one.
If you want to book for December, you don't have a guarantee that FBs are open. All FBs close in rainy season, around May, and open again in November (if no taiphoon).

Day 5.
The plan for the next 3 days was to go to Subic. ISG member (I'll use K for anonymity) and I booked a superior room at Arizona Beach Resort. The room is of a decent size but has antiquated furnishings. It gives off a cozy and relaxed feeling but you can look at it in a different way as well. The shower is a major complaint as the hottest it gets is no more than lukewarm. The air conditioner unit also needs to be turned on and off manually, and neither does it have adjustable fan strength. I checked K's superior room and it had a modern air conditioner so YMMV.
I thought Subic would be cooler or at least more breezy than AC but it was just as hot. Unfortunately I didn't read up too much on Barrio Barretto before coming but I seemed to remember from earlier reading how it had declined over the years. That comment seems to apply to a lot of places so I always take it with a grain of salt. So I came with no real expectations and hope to enjoy it for what it is.
We got here via a van booked through our hotel at AC. Cost is 2600 each way. My initial impression of the Barrio Barretto area was that it fit how one would imagine a third world beach town to be, laid back and kinda dumpy. The main road way is just two lanes with old worn down buildings on each side. Going into Arizona Beach Resort, I saw mostly older white guys lounging around. Not many of them are hanging out with Filipinas, which is different from what you see in AC, most of them are just kind of chilling with each other or alone.
At around 2 pm, the bars haven't gotten started yet, so it was a good time to settled in. I pulled up Wayne's Subic Map to get familiar with the area, read recent ISG reports about BF prices, read Wikitravel and TripAdvisor about the other things you could do around here. When I went for lunch I saw no Koreans or other Asians around, again very different from AC. I kind of have this picture in my mind that the Barrio is what Fields Ave would have looked like pre-Koreans. Checked WeChat People Nearby and no one that I'd take.
In the afternoon, K and I took a walk along the highway to preview the bars, starting from Arizona going east. I guess we came across around 20 bars before we decided to turn around and have lunch. The bars are not as concentrated as in AC and there was a long stretch of road without any bars which is where we decided to reverse course. The place where we picked our lunch place is also filled with all older white guys. People here will often acknowledge you if you walk by, unlike in AC. At this point though we were both convinced that 3 days in Subic was probably a bit too much. I think it's a great place to relax and kill time, and if you're into diving I read there are lots of places to do that. Another great thing to do is to take your GF here and lounge around on the beach. But for us two I think there's not much to keep us here.
Late afternoon I took a walk along the beach around sunset and the scenery was gorgeous. Coming back to the hotel I got a few greetings on WeChat since I left it on, and just out of curiosity I chatted up one girl who I wouldn't consider taking anyway. She was from Olongapo, which I assume where a lot of working girls live, offered herself for 3 k. The number sounds high but it makes sense if she has to take a trike to and from Subic.
At night, K and I did a round of peeking into bars to look at girls, making mental notes along the way. We took a 50 p trike back to Arizona. You have to make sure the girl gives the 50 p, otherwise trike drivers will want 100 p which is stupid. I started by eating her out which she enjoyed. I'm awful at DATY, but tried to learn a few DATY tips before this trip which I think paid off. She said she had a gag reflex so didn't do full-on BJ but she was willing to put it in halfway anyway. By that time I got surrounded by 3 uglies when K shows up and we escape to head to Ayala Mall in Olongapo. The front desk can arrange a taxi. Cost is 350 p. Not that much to say about Ayala Mall except it's a mid-sized modern mall with a super market and lots of food choices. Seems a little cleaner than SM Clark.
After coming back, went to a money exchange place next to Arizona. The exchange rates are worse here as compared to AC, but not by that much. Less competition I suppose. There are a few money changers along the highway but no need to shop for better exchange rates since I asked around yesterday and they were all the same. The exchange places close at 7 pm so if you need money for bars, it's better to go earlier.
Dinner then followed by bars. First stop was Voodoo and K finds a girl he likes there. There was another girl there who I'd be willing to spend money on, but decided to look at a few other bars before settling. Going westward, saw the Dryden bars, nothing interesting, and checked Landlocked, which I skipped yesterday because it was above Rolling Stones. There was a cutie there but Landlocked girls don't barfine just like Rolling Stones below. Alaska had a couple of OK girls. Thanks.Depends upon what kind of comfort and price range you are looking for.
Cheapest is the bus, but I would stick to one of the good ones like victory or SC as it is comfortable, AC, and an easy ride. If you would like to go cheap bus, then most will go to Dau, then down to Olongapo or Subic. Most of the time I call and send girls on the express, it is a van that they stuff people in and goes from manila to Dau, Olongapo, Subic, or anywhere, just have to let them know where you headed.
FlybyBus heads out of malate, and goes to AC and Olongapo, you can search the website, or go directly to their hotel and book a ticket. Last option is a Taxi, if you all a service (like from the hotel you will be staying at in olongapo will arrange), it will be around 3000-4000. Taxi is about 4000, and private driver is about 5000.

Thanks.I want to note, that if still your primary reason is to relax on the beach, then I wouldn't bother myself at all going to Subic, taking into account other great beach destinations, which Phillipines have to offer.
If so, then go at least to Boracay, or better to El Nido in Palawan, which has world class snorkeling spots, and islands hopping scenary is somewhat similar with famous Pianemo in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. You can also stop in Roxas a half way between Puerto Princesa and El Nido to relax for a couple of days at Bounty like offshore island nearby, or visit Sabang underground river not so far from Puerto Princesa. I want to note, that if still your primary reason is to relax on the beach, then I wouldn't bother myself at all going to Subic, taking into account other great beach destinations, which Phillipines have to offer.
If so, then go at least to Boracay, or better to El Nido in Palawan, which has world class snorkeling spots, and islands hopping scenary is somewhat similar with famous Pianemo in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. You can also stop in Roxas a half way between Puerto Princesa and El Nido to relax for a couple of days at Bounty like offshore island nearby, or visit Sabang underground river not so far from Puerto Princesa. Convenience should be a major factor, but you didn't mention from where you planned to travel in Manila. You've gotten good advice from other posters about Victory & Fly the Bus. Southern Cross also has a daily bus from Ermita, which stops in AC then continues on to Wild Orchid in Baretto. If you're in Makati / Malate / Ermita any of those might be preferable.
If you're just arriving in PI at NAIA, however, there's a better option; Genesis is a new direct bus service to Clark airport in AC from NAIA T3. Buses are scheduled every hour on the hour from early morning (6 am, I think, but best to check on website to be sure) till evening (don't recall hour of last bus). The buses are new & clean (plastic seat covers) & feature free WiFi, which was only a bit slower for me than my 4 G SIM card. In my experience (only one trip) the bus was very punctual, arriving at T3 at 1:55 and departing exactly at 2:00 pm. Travel time to AC was fastest I've ever made it, just slightly over 2 hours, but traffic was uncharacteristicly light. I got off on the road in front of the SM mall, just across from perimeter, where most passengers get off (few continue on to Clark) since I was spending the night in AC. I then took Angel's 7 am van to Baretto the following morning.
If you don't care to stop in AC (I wouldn't have, but was meeting friends) then you can use the other options to continue on to BB; Victory from Dao, Southern Cross from Wild Orchid, etc. The advantage of SC (& Angel's Van) vs Victory is that they will drop you at any hotel on Manga Beach, BB. Angel's goes only as far as their bakery (next to Alaska, western end of Manga) while SC goes down to Baloy. Either way, anything in Baloy is a short walk / trike ride away.
Angel's though, has only one van daily to Baretto & its at 7 am, not likely an option if you're coming from Manila by bus. Also, there are only a few seats (7?) which can be sold out during busy times. The van departs from their bakery on Perimeter and is fast & comfortable; easily the best option, IMHO, IF (& that's a big IF) scheduling fits your agenda. Angel's Bakery is very small & easy to miss, but right on Fields directly across from SM mall.
Southern Cross also has only one bus daily, but it's later (9 am) so may fit your schedule if you've caught an early morning bus from NAIA. It departs from Wild Orchid & picks up at the Brass Knob Hotel (Fields, across the street from where the Genesis bus can drop you). Again, the SC bus goes straight to Barrio Baretto, Subic.
If you arrive later than 9 am (as most everyone will) & wish to continue on to Subic, end of the line for the Genesis bus is Clark, so not advisable to go that far unless you're taking a flight. From the SM Mall stop, you can catch a taxi / trike to Dao bus terminal, then a Victory Lines bus onto Olongapo. They leave frequently (every 20-40 minutes) so are the most flexible schedule-wise, BUT, they only go as far as Olongapo. From the bus terminal in Olongapo (or on the highway a bit closer to Baretto) you've still got a 6-8 km trip, by trike / taxi, to Barrio Baretto, Subic. This is the issue as it means longer trip time (min 90 min vs 60 min) and simply extra hassle. It's not a big deal, mind you, but a minor inconvenience to get off the bus and find a taxi / trike for the last leg of your journey, more so since they'll usually try to gauge you. I'the recommend Grab or Uber as better options for the safety & convenience.

I have used Angel from BB to AC and it was very good. They leave at 11 am I think. 7 am the other direction is a deal breaker for me! I think there is one more minibus outfit that does the route that leaves at 10 am. Most AC hotels will have the info.

As far as I can work out, Victory Liner have the franchise to operate from Manila to Zambales province. They have 4 terminals in Metro Manila.
Pasay. Most convenient for airport and possibly Makati.
Cubao. Possibly more convenient for Makati as I think that Pasay services might well pass here on EDSA.
Sampaloc (also called Earnshaw) and Caloocan are both on the north side of MM, so are more convenient for Ermita and Malate.
Services to Olongapo require taxi / jeepney / trike to get to Barretto. Trikes are easy to find in the bus station, and the blue jeepney stop is around the corner.
Services to Iba or Santa Cruz continue through Barretto, and will drop you off wherever you want on National Highway. You may have to remind the conductor that you want to get off.
From my experience, all services use NLEX to San Fernando. SCTEX continue to Dau and SCTEX to Olongapo. Others use the old road across the top of the Bataan peninsula, and make a comfort stop of 20 minutes or so at Lubau, which to my mind is much more pleasant than Dau. On the old road, they pick up and drop off at the roadside, but not frequently enough to make a major delay.
If you have never tried it, the 'in flight entertainment' of videos on a TV screen is a novelty.

Subic has been very quite since I've been here for the last week. On the nights I went bar hopping, there was generally only one or two other customers in the places I visited. I didn't see any truly stunning girls anywhere. The best I saw I would rate as a 7 ish.
Luckily I had numbers for girls I met last tip so I made use of them for most of the stay. One was free the other was 2 k per night.
The exception was a spinner I picked up from a small bar across from The Pub (sorry, forgot it's name). She had a tight little body but a totally lacklustre performance for 2 k all night.

I agree with your point that the major difference in the two bus services (Genesis vs Victory) is in where you must deal with the taxi, but I'the much prefer SM Clark to Dau (2. 5 km) in AC over NAIA to Pasay Bus Terminal any time. Either way I'the use GRAB (they've just rolled out GRAB Trike in AC) rather than taxi.
As of my recent visit Uber does not seem to serve AC (but is rumored to be coming soon), nor are they allowed to pick up at NAIA, but for those who'the like another layer of complexity, you can take the free shuttle from NAIA to Resorts World, where Uber picks up.
In this last trip I arrived at T4, which is the furthest by shuttle from T3. Even so it took only 20 min. I lucked out as the shuttle bus had just departed as I arrived, but it was moving slowly among exiting traffic so I was able to run it down. Otherwise I would have had another 20 min or so to wait. I've had good luck with the terminal shuttle at NAIA in recent years, though I can recall a time or two a few years back when I turned around and headed for the taxi que rather than brave the crowd.
Otherwise, Genesis' buses are newer & cleaner, and the WIFI is another bonus. They stop in Quezon City as well, so it's a convenient option for those going to / coming from the north side of Manila.
Last fall I took Victory to Olongapo but had them drop me off on Quezon Highway just before the bus turned into town. I'the tried to order a Grab while still on the bus but no luck (they have few cars in Olongapo, apparently). I hailed a taxi within minutes though, saving the 10 min or so ea way through crowded streets to the bus terminal.
