Does anyone have any info on Puerto Galera? I have heard it is good but can't seem to find any info in the forums about it.

Many thanks!

Any action up in Baguio for mongoring?
Yes there are mongering oportunities in Baguio just like most big cities in the Philippines but most of the activity seems to be in the KTV style "Nightclubs". Last year, I spent over a week there and never once saw a SW and I was out at all hours of the day and night.

There are several nightclubs located in the downtown core but I never had the chance to check them out. There is a second cluster of clubs, one of which I frequented since I knew the absentee owner. Set up similar to a KTV with a stage to showcase the available talent and private rooms to rent by the hour, if you so choose. Regular drinks were reasonable but ladies drinks were expensive, some where around 300 php. Not sure on any pricing since I never payed for anything. If your interested, PM me for more info.

The huge mall in the center of town seems to be where everybody congregates so picking up women is a cinch if you got game. If you are going to be there for sightseeing or whatnot, by all means check out the scene but I would not make a special trip there to monger.

Last month visited one of my girl friends who lives in dulag, which is 40 mts away from Tacloban, I booked the Leyte Park Hotel.

Getting there was so easy 50 minute flight from manila, and 10 minute ride in the hotel taxi. The hotel was very run down but for 40 dollars I had a sea view room, and we had the swimming pools to ourselves, this hotel is owned my the Marcos familly, and is subletted to a Chinese company who are renovating it, to its former glory. I like Tacloban as it is not full of tourists like me, its is a busy, thriving port town, which has very good shopping, restaraunts, and go go bars.

There are about 8 go go bars, the best one called Schooners. This bar had girls of far better qaulity than ac, I suppose up to Manilla standards, and me being the only foreigner there the girls were falling over themselves to talk to me. They did this stage act where they dressed in topless or bottomles uniforms, then after the dancing would just sit on the customers laps and start fondling them, there were some real 10's here, but I had the gf with me so this was as far as it went!

The bar is run very proffesionally, the mamsan told be me the barfine for the night is 3, 000 peso, so a good deal more than ac, but the quality far better in the looks department. Downstairs they had some of the best pool tables I have ever seen they looked brand new, and they had 2 resident pool players you could play if your partner can't.

Across the road we went to this bar called pussycats, and there I saw very young 18 year olds doing their dancing routines, this place was a bit rougher at the edges, but none the less there were at least 20 very attractive girls in there dressed in very short skirts. The bar fine here was 2, 500.

Again I was the only foreigner here but the phills people were very freindly towards me, not once did I feel awkward.

I did plan just to be with my girl freind for one week and then I was going to return to another girl freind in ac, but beacuase the sex was just fucking mindblowing with the Tacloban girl I stayed with her! We stayed in tacloban for 9 days and then went to Boracay for 11 days, but really I wished I had stayed in Tacloban, as I felt so relaxed there, and Boracay seems so plastic.

I am returning to see my gf in July and this time I am staying there for 3 weeks, I think I have found love here in Tacloban.

Thanks A hole for the post. I wish you the very best.

I've never been to Leyte but really want to go. I love the look and demeanor of the Leyte ladies.

Can you give us more information? Where are these bars? Also, did you hit the beach? Can you give us a review? Pictures?

I have Lonely planet map of Tacloban. I don't have a scanner, but can take a picture. Maybe you can do the same and mark the locations.

Or is it intuitive to just walk the streets and find these places?

And how did you meet this girl? Just a friendly warning ...great sex doesn't always mean a good wife. (Sure helps a lot though!)

There are a couple off disco's in Puerto Galera the best being Broadway but a little pushy to get lady-drinks . Barfine was 1000 for disco and 1000 for the girl. There are a couple off nice places to eat but nothing special.

I like PG but thats mostly because off the combination diving and P4p available.

Sent me a pm iff you want more -specific info.

Thanks for the reminder. I had meant to share my experiences in Tacloban after my two visits last June and November, but never got around to it. On both visits, I spent quality time with a sweetheart I had previously met on the internet. For me, Tacloban was the perfect destination. It has the attractions of a city, yet also offers a serene getaway without having to compete with many tourists.

During my first visit, I also stayed at Leyte Park. Its location is great, with the city center being a short walk or trike ride away. Did you notice that Leyte Park is also convenient to the you of Phil campus? Although I didn’t have an opportunity to participate in any mongering activities in Tacloban (my honey had never let me out of her sight) I could see many opportunities on the campus, in the mall, internet cafes, shops, and festivals going on around the city. I had a unique opportunity to chat with an American monger now living in Hong Kong who turned out to be a regular guest at Leyte Park. He referred to Tacloban as his 'secret retreat. ' I made many mental notes in the event I would ever return (alone.)

As I recall, Leyte Park was not in prime shape, but the location and views of the ocean make up for it. At about 2, 000php, I felt the rooms were a bit overpriced. If you return, you might consider McArthur Park, where I stayed during my second visit. The accommodations are much nicer, but the complex is further away from the city. We got around mostly via tricycle and jeepney. Which do not run between the city and McArthur Park in the evenings. But I’m sure you could make arrangements to hire a driver for the late night club action.

At the end of my second visit, I sent my sweetheart home and stayed in Tacloban for one last night before leaving for Manila the next day. She’s the conservative type who wasn’t into the night life, so I hadn’t seen much of Tacloban after dusk (which was fine, because the in-house entertainment was spectacular.) In the spirit of adventure, I moved out of McArthur Park and stayed at a guest house in the city center (I forget the name), just to be closer to any action. The rate was about 800php per night with accommodations on par with what you would expect at that price. I later realized that it was a bad move, and should have returned to Leyte Park and hung around the lounge areas and the adjacent festival grounds where I had gotten countless flirtatious looks during my first visit.

What was your take on personal safety in Tacloban? While at the guest house, at 2am, I decided to check out the Dunkin Donut’s across the street for a cup of coffee and quick reconnaissance. To my surprise, the guards were very reluctant to let me outside due to safety issues. After a few minutes of insisting, one agreed to be my escort. I thought an escort to Dunkin Donuts was a bit amusing until the door opened, when we were suddenly swarmed with beggars appearing out of nowhere. With the streets as dark as they were, the experience was a little creepy.

While that night was uneventful, intuition told me that there was much action to be enjoyed in Tacloban. All it took was a little knowledge of the city layout, and a driver you can trust. I left the next day for Manila and fooled around in Ermita before heading back to the States the following day.

I met a woman online I've been talking with and IMing. I kind of like her. Might go see her at some point this coming winter, etc. Anyway, she lives in Tacloban City and has a government job. She's cute, smart (college degree, good vocablary, etc.).

I'm wondering what tacloban city is like. If I went there and it didn't work out with her, are there other places to monger? Where shall I stay? Any info would be appreciated.

I might go to BKK first. Any recommendations for flights, etc. From BKK or how to do this?

Thanks

I decided to marry my new sweetie in Bayugan Del Sur. She will turn 20 next year. A bit young, but after being with her, so mature for her age. She never asked me for money once, so that's a good thing. She did tell me she loves me which is ok, cause I love her too. Went and bought herself a ring in Butuan so the "boys know I'm not available". That really made my day.

The worst thing about all of this is that I'm dropping my fiance I had for 5 years. She's a bit older, 27, and a great woman too. I just don't know what I will tell her. I definitely don't want to say I have another woman cause that would really destroy her emotionally. I still feel for her and could never just blow her off. Does anyone think I'm crazy? All thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Tell her you're bisexual and contracted AIDS while BtFking one of the local homeless lads. Then ask her for some money for medicine. That should do the trick.

If I'm not mistaken, Bayugan is in Mindanao. Correct me if I'm wrong. How did you meet this lass? Have you posted a travel report? If you haven't, I'm looking forward to a posting. I hope to visit Visayans and Mindanao in July.

You may have said in a previous mail TC, but how old are you? 30ish or 90ish?

Hope you'll be able to invite some of the senior ISG memebers to your wedding.

BurtyI dove with Action Divers(great dive shop) last year and stayed in the Deep Blue Sea Inn(next door), I do not think they have any issues with girls there. Myself and 2 friends arrive in Sabang Beach on June 2 for 5 days.

X ManHi sory for the delay in responding, but have just come back from 10 days in ac.

The bars I mentioned in my report are on the Ormnoc road, but really just tell any trike driver Schooners and for 60 peso (from Leyte park Hotel) they will take you there. The bars are all next to each other and on opposite sides of the road, almost like they have been given a designated part of Tacloban to be built in.

There is no beach as such in Tacloban, but there are many beach resorts dotted about, but having the 2 swimming pools to ourselves at Leyte park, that was enough for us.

I met this girl at Dolls House in ac about 2 years 3 months ago. When I met her I was a bit wet around the ears (my first trip to phills), I barfined her twice then gave her the money to go back home and star a new life for herself.

It was never my intention to further my relationship with her as I just gave her what I usually spent in ac for 3 days 10, 000 peso to sort her life out. I have been emailing her for 2 years then she told me a old freind who she met like me wanted to vist her in Tacloban, I thought fuck that! , I will visit her first myself to see if I fancy her, and well the rest is history!

I am travelling to Tacloban last week in June and staying for 3 weeks, so will take some pics then.

My apologies, A hole, I've seriously underestimated you. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post after all this time.

A message to the newbies, some of the people who give the most info at a site like this give up after they find they're giving, and giving and nothing comes back. People like CebuLocal with 1000+ posts, suddenly disappeared. GE, one of the two top experts on Mindanao (along with SH) has pretty much retired from ISG. There are several others who seem to only respond when they are sharing info with other seniors.

Since I've never been to Leyte, I still have something to learn from people like A Hole.

A hole, I'll be in PI in July. Does she have a sister?

Hope you have a great trip.

No, but what you're doing is stupid. Trading an established relationship for something that could be a long-shot golddigging operation.

She hasn't asked you for money (yet)? Don't worry, she'll cost you plenty, both monetary and emotionally.

The people care about you more in the Philippines. I work with many pinoys/pinays and i find some of them have real attitude problems. Some don't give a shit, only here for the money. Funny always seems like the words money and Philippines go hand in hand.

I'm sure they're good actresses out there, but new girl isn't 1 of them. Really looking forward to marrying in 2008. I'll get back to you in 10 years and see if what you said came true.

Tungsten,

My advice, before you dump your fiance, let this relationship go as long as possible first. I had a "regular" for about 18 months and knew she was real and wasn't a gold digger just like you say. However, as I look back, she did cost a lot and caused a lot of frustration.

Things were great the first 6-9 months but after that little things kept coming up. We have discussed how family is so important to Filipinos and a perfect example is when I gave my girl about 10,000 pesos so she could go to school. Her older brother didn't have money for his tuition so she gave him 8000 and didn't go that semester. For her, that was the right thing to do.

Our cultures are very different and you have to realize that. I can go on and on about little things that frustrated me but I'm just glad to be done with it. She was 20 also and though she seemed mature, after time, a lot of her immaturity showed in day-to-day situations.

Just like most relationships, things usually seem pretty perfect the first several months.

Just keep in mind that the cultural differences will arise and you will have different values. Maturity issues will also be an issue in the future too. Just be prepared...

Also, you should notice little establishments in AC called *internet café*. Very helpful if you need a bigger screen or faster bandwidth.

i tried to post this on the dragon slayer's board and kept getting bounced back to the "registration" area. hope it works here.
as was the case with my last post on zamboanga, this post probably does not belong here, but i can't think of any more appropriate place to put it, so it goes in the davao section.

june 11th was a monday and a national holiday here, which gave us a long week-end, so my lady and i decided to go dive in camiguin, where neither of us had ever been. we made arrangements to go with another two couples, and set off on saturday morning. camiguin is about 100 kms. northeast of cagayan de oro and can only be reached by ferry, so it's a long trip from davao but, as i hope i'm able to convey later in this post, well worth the effort.

we drove our own car from davao to cdo, and it took us about 6.5 hours, including a stop of about an hour at the pines hotel in malaybalay (lovely name) for lunch. the entrance to the pines is about two thirds of the way through malaybalay, and malaybalay itself--which is a lovely little place--is about two thirds of the way to cdo. the road is two lane all the way, but in reasonable shape, and you can average about 80 kph for most of the trip, including the time spent chugging along at 20 kph behind slow, smoke-belching, overloaded trucks. i would not advise driving yourself unless you are fairly accustomed to driving here. the alternative is to take the "executive class" bus, which is air-conditioned and plays videos, and which runs several times a day. the cost is about php400 ($8.50).

we arrived at the mallberry hotel about 15:50 and, while waiting for our friends to arrive, had a nice latte at the hotel bar. i've written about the mallberry before. it's a new, business-class hotel directly across a narrow street from rboinson's department store. the rack rate is about php2200 and i think i paid php1,800. eventually, we walked up the street to bigby's for dinner. bigby's is sort of a filipino version of a tex-mex place (a local version of tgi friday's) and it's not bad at all.

the next day we picked up our filipino friends, and headed the 85 km. or so to the port where we would get the boat to camgiuin. again, the road is strictly two-lane, but in decent repair, and we made the trip in about an hour and fifteen minutes. the drive is beautiful, and wends through some extremely rustic countryside and banana plantations. on arrival at the wharf, we paid php1250, a price that included our car and four passengers.

the trip on the ferry took about 90 minutes and we could see camiguin the whole trip. it's a beautiful volcanic island with mountains sloping right to the edge of the sea and looks much like some of the hawaiian islands in that respect, though there's no surf to speak of. if you do not have your own car, there's frequent bus service between cdo and the port, and all of the hotels offer shuttle service from the camiguin port to the various hotels.

camiguin is an oval, about 65 kms. in circumference, with one road running around the whole place, so it's no possible to get lost. we headed toward the highlands mountain resort, which is the newest hotel there. it was lovely, but a little removed from things. however, it's got cable tv, a large pool, very large rooms and is extremely clean. the price was about php2,200 for an enormous double room with a front terrace overlooking the sea. we had lunch at the hotel, and it was a mistake. i've had better food in economy class on airplanes. if you stay there, make plans to eat every meal away from the hotel.

later that day we descended the mountain to scout out the dive shops, and wound up at paras beach resort, which has its own dive operation. after arranging for a dive the next day ($20 per person for two dives including air) and decided that this hotel was much better suited to our needs than the one in which we were staying, so we made arrangements to transfer the next day. this hotel is not as attractive as the other, but the location is much better, the place much funkier, and it's smack on the ocean, with a small beach, a large pool, and lots of [CodeWord118] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord118) including jet ski, parasailing, banana boats, etc. the food is light years better as well and the service was cheerful and reasonably efficient. the room price was the same.

we had two dives the next day: one over a volcano and the other over a forest of black coral. both of these were interesting, if not spectacular, and yielded some sights that we don't see during our dives in davao bay. again, the boat was on time, and the dive master was excellent as was the pilot.

unlike boracay, there's little white sand on camiguin. however, "white island" which is a 2 km. sandbar, sits a 5 minute boat ride from the beach of the hotel, and we dropped my friend's kids off there to play while we dove. there are small beach huts rep001tered around the island, several vendors selling soft drinks and junk food, and it's entirely safe. the beaches of the island are beautiful.

after the dive, we all hung around drinking tropical concoctions, and lolling around the pool. it was all quite relaxed. about half the guests of the 39 room hotel were european and the balance filipinos.

for dinner, my lady and i went to a restaurant called el paradiso, which is owned by an italian guy and his girlfriend. the food was surprisingly good and truly italian, with the ingredients imported from italy via cebu. there's a small selection of decent, reasonably-priced, standard italian wines, good service, and a totally relaxed atmosphere. i asked the owner if there was any nightlift at all on the island, and was told that there's a disco that operates on friday and saturday nights only. he didn't know about the possiblity of picking up women, and my guess is that camgiuin is strictly a byo-type of place.

all in all, the island is totally relaxing. in addition to the beach, it offers hot and cold springs, a soda spring and a couple of volcanoes. you can rent small honda or kawasaki bikes for php500 a day, and there's so little traffic that a bike is an excellent way to roam around.

the only mistake we made was allotting only two days to the island. the next time, we'll take a week. this is a great and inexpensive way to chill out. the scenery is gorgeous and there's enough to do that you will not get bored. also, it's still reasonably priced and, because it's not that well known, has not yet become touristy.

GoodEnough,

I appreciate your post on Camiguin. I may go there later this summer when I am in CDO.

I am glad you did not post to DragonSlayers forum. No offense to him personally, but this board is a good resource when its organized. Its kind of a pain to go searching other threads for information that's also covered here.

I don't really understand why he has to have his own forum, its not like he could not be made a moderator here.

I read this forum for more than three months. It’s a good entertainment and source of information.

In my opinion, Boracay is one of the most famous tourist destination in the Philippines. Unfortunately, about Boracay I found quite nothing in this forum. Therefore, my little report to the forum based on my experience and a report of Spam Hog.

Avoid the weekends and the bank holidays!

The island is overcrowded with hundreds of local tourists drinking, eating, pissing and sleeping on the beach.

I’ve been told by a local girl (freelancer), that there are no GROs on Boracay because the local authority doesn’t want this.

There are normal bars on the beach, where you can sit and look at the girls. After the sunset the walk way on the beach becomes a cat walk, where the girls stroll along. I couldn’t distinguish who is a freelancer and who is a tourist. I met an attractive, pretty girl from Manila (nurse student). She offered me massage and BJ for 1500 pesos. She was a tourist and earned some extra money here.

How to distinguish? The only hint, I can give the freelancers seem to show up not before 10 o’clock. For instance, there is a beer bar (at the end of the path from Talipapa market to the beach) with live music on the beach, where you can find them.

Spam Hog advised in his report to go to Cocomangas shooters bar or a disco called "the wave". http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?p=546204&highlight=Boracay#post546204

There are roughly estimated 50 freelancers meeting at the “Summer Place” beginning from midnight to four o’clock. They are not the first choice. Only one of five is acceptable. The others are quite old, not nice-looking or seemed to be depressed. The girls were very reserved. You have to do the first step, eye contact, joking, etc. It’s fare away from the fun you can have in a bar in AC or wherever. Price between 2000 and 3000 pesos for sex, 600 pesos for massage.

Better you take a girl with you, what many guys obviously did. But you might have the problem (apart from travel costs) what to do, if you are fed up with her after a while.

If you don’t know, is your hotel girl friendly or not, ask the girls, they should it know. 100 pesos for the guard normally open the doors. Is your hotel a real no-go-area, the beach is long and empty in the night (apart from the weekends and bank holidays). I don’t know is it her standard or not, one of the girls took me to her home (sex Philippine style J)

You can find reports on Boracay under the "other areas" section, I did one in June (?) and a little later you will see one by a guy called Mahklu, who has a PHD in mongering. Boracay is not really all that good for mongering, normally it is a place you take your special girl for a honeymoon or a few days alone but, as everywhere in the Phils, one can always find something. You might try Cocomangas Shooters bar or a disco called "the wave" but the locals "working" the places aren't all that great looking, you might get real lucky and score one of the dozens of Korean or Japanaese tourist girls, but a wing man is advisable as they usually show up in twos threes and fours.

Good Luck

I spent 8 days in Boracay in April this year and I would highly recommend it as a family resort. They will love and cherish your kids and treat you well. The people are fantastic once you get used to the crowds.

Getting there is a treat and you should be well rested and possibly medicated to endure the stupidness of getting to a hotel as many small fees will be paid and many porters shall touch your luggage.

Bring your own woman to Boracay, I am sure there are opportunities to make the "beast with 2 backs" with a fellow tourist or a non pro as it is a party place, there are, as referred to in the prior reports, opportunities along the beach after 10pm but they are unattractive for the most part, there are some freelancers in the busy bars again not striking and there is 1 very high end house of ill repute.

I can not recall the name of the house of ill repute but the costs are 150 US for 2 hours plus a recommended tip to the girl of $ 100 after the 2 hours, clearly not for me. Ask the motorbike taxis they will know it maybe, it is on the opposite side of the island from Station 3 and closer to the port than station 3 it is a grand venue of Japanese design and is probably worth the trip if this is in your budget.

It clearly looks like a fellow can get a blowjob at several of the massage places and the motorbike taxis all think that you can but you CANT! You can get a great massage though. I checked 6 places and not a single BBBJ was to be had and I was actually quite blunt about it after having paid for 2 massages and gone blind withthe subtle routine, sad to as the places are very nice and quite sensual.

There is an incall service though, 2000 pesos for 1 hour or so a friend of mine partook in it 2 times and was sastified by both encounters. If I recall the number I will provide it. This same friend took home a lady from Cocomangos and only ended up with his $ 2,000 US wonder phone being stolen and eventually returned to him after 24 hours of angst so beware. The Phillipinos seem to enjoy the small con.

My Motorbike Taxi did take me to a side street where real Philipino prostitues could be procured during the day but the amount of children and normalcy of the place soon turned me off and I never viewed a lineup. We all have lines in the sand. Usually the Taxi guys know what they are doing but not here or anywhere in the Phillipines that I travelled.

I would clearly go back to Boracay and it is indeed well visited by Philipinos and is the jewel of the Philipines as far as tourist destinations go according to the Phillipinos.

If you go there go golfing I recommend it, magnificient views there is only one course, you wil find it.

After a few trips to the Phils, I had often had the same thoughts as Blastoff (in his useful series of posts in this section from late last year) about all of the best looking girls in Angeles and Manila being from Samar and Leyte. So I did a half-circuit of the Visayas, back in April.

After a few days in Angeles and Manila, I caught a flight to Legaspi as my starting point. Was there for a couple of days but it poured rain the whole time. I never made it to the Lady Ann disco, so can’t comment. Did wander by one night and it didn’t seem too busy, but it was mid-week and a little early in the evening. Found a KTV down by the port (can’t remember the name) where there seemed to be a few girls available, but the quality was low. Seemed to be a few other KTV’s with girls in the area around the disco. I stayed at the Legaspi Tourist Inn, which is pretty basic. Didn’t have a GF feel to it, but I didn’t test it out.

From there I took a bus to Sorsogon, a jeepney to Matnog, ferry across to Allen and jeepney to Calbayog. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this mode of travel. Between Sorsogon and Matnog, the jeepney maxed out at 27 passengers and one chicken. On the brutal road between Allen and Calbayog, we got up to 32 (no chickens)!! Cramming my 6’2” frame with my backpack into a jeepney with a crowd like that was not the most comfortable trip of my life! But isn’t it all part of the adventure?

I didn’t like Calbayog much. None of the trike drivers seemed to know where anything was. All of the boys under 15-years-old seemed to have the same five-word English vocabulary, “Hey Joe, give me money.” Ended up staying in some run-down little hole-in-the-wall, as all of the decent hotels were full. Got in around 10:00pm and the town was pretty much shut down. Found a KTV to have a beer but nothing going on anywhere. And this was a Friday night! Got out of there the next morning and caught a bus (many chickens) to Catbalogan.

Catbalogan was a much friendlier town. Really a nice laid-back place. Still got the “Hey Joe!” thing, but here it was just a friendly way of saying “Hi”. As previously reported by Blastoff one could easily pick up a girlfriend if one was staying for a while. I received many smiles and giggles from pretty young things. Stayed at the Rolet which has nice clean (if small) rooms. The one downside to the town was that the options for eating are kind of slim. Sooners Disco at the north end of del Rosario Street is now open, but won’t be for long if they can’t draw more than the half-dozen people who were in there that Saturday night. Eclipse, at the other end of del Rosario was hopping with a great band playing. Be careful in this place as they definitely don’t enforce any sort of minimum age for entrance. There was certainly some jailbait in the house.

Took the bus to Tacloban and stayed at Leyte Park. The resort has been described as “run down“. “Falling apart” might be closer to the truth. Beautiful setting, though, and relatively convenient to the city center (about a 25 minute walk). The city itself is a bit of a dump, with lots of beggars (and rats) around. Again, like Catbalogan, many friendly pretty young ladies. Struck up a conversation with one gorgeous little thing running a sari-sari a few blocks from the hotel. Unfortunately, it was Sunday night and the town was completely dead, with nowhere to go and nothing to do. I figured Monday wouldn’t be much better so I moved on, the next morning. After reading Any Hole’s post about the go-go’s, I may have to go back on my next trip!

Took a mini-bus across to Ormoc and the fast ferry over to Cebu. The mini-bus was definitely worth the extra cost, after days of imitating a sardine in buses and jeepneys. (I think the combined cost of all the transport from Legaspi to Ormoc worked out to something like $18!) In Cebu it was time to settle down and relax, and spend more than one night in one place. Pretty much just a quick sampling tour on limited time, to see where I liked and where might be worth revisiting on a future trip. In that week of traveling, I never saw more than one white face a day (and sometimes none), from the time I left the airport in Legaspi to when I arrived at the ferry port in Ormoc. When you’re the only white man in town and a foot taller than the average Filipino, you do tend to stand out in a crowd! And that’s generally not a bad thing, in a place like the Phils.

I’m thinking of heading back later in the year, to complete the Visayas loop through to Bohol, Negros and Panay. Does anyone have any info on transport links to Dumaguete from Cebu City or Tagbiliran? Is there a regular ferry service? Any info appreciated.

I've been there. I brought my own girl so I can't speak to the prices for the action. Sabang nightlife is all restaurants, bars and discos, no go-gos that I saw. For hotel, there's a wide variety depending on your budget. In my case, we stayed in Puerto Galera at the Nirvana. Nice place, that with aircon and a decent view of the bay. I never saw an ATM anywhere. I'm sure there's one hidden away some place, but it's best to bring your own cash from Manila.

I only know about getting there from Manila. There's a bus station in Pasay City just off the LRT (one or two stops north of Libertad St) with aircon buses going to a variety of destinations. You want the bus that goes to Batangas City. Think it took 2 or 2 1/2 hours in the very early morning. It ends at the Batangas port where you can find a ferry for Puerto Galera. I think you may have a choice between a fast ferry and a slow one, but I'm not remembering that part. I do remember getting on the bus at 4:45am and finally arriving in Puerto Galera about 10:30 or 11am so get going in the morning, I don't know if they have ferries that go at night. I'm drawing a blank on the prices I paid for us on the bus and the ferry, but it can't have been that much.

When you arrive at Puerto Galera, you will find trikes to be the only transportation available. Negotiate with someone is all I can say. My girl handled that for us.

I've always wondered about the action there. Do tell us about it.

May want to stay at the City State Hotel in Ermita. They have a 7am bus that takes you to Batanges where you catch the ferry.

Bars, essentially four go-go bars that are ok if you go eary, the pickings in those bars after midnight are very slim.

The feedback I've read from another forum is that there are four or five "discos" on Sabang Beach, which is the place where the action is in the Puerto Galera area. I had some confusion with Liloan -- there are two places on Cebu Island with the same name. If you take a boat from Dumaguete, Negros across the Tanon strait, you will land near the town of Liloan (Li-loan). Then if you go about 120 kilometers to the NNE, you will pass Cebu city and find a place called...Liloan.

The beaches around the Tanon Strait are very nice.

From Tagbilaran, you can get to Dumaguete in about 90 min on the Ocean Jet ferry. There is diving there (Apo island) and I remember somone saying you can get p4p just out of town. Don't stay at Bethel guest house if you plan on playing.

Arrived in Sabang following two days in Manila. Fast Eddie 48 had previously advised in an earlier contribution that “if you want p4p you should just stay in Manila or go to Angeles”. So I had some concerns about the availability of company in Sabang, especially as I had hit on a particularly good BG in Manila and was very tempted to bring her down to PG. Let me make this clear, do not take Fast Eddies word; there is no need to bring your own to Sabang.

There are a number of Discos (a local euphemism for a go-go) in town. From my count, there were 6: Broadway, Pink Panther, Sunset, Sabang, Village and Centrum but I may have missed the odd one. General background follows at the end, so in no particular order some specific background on the Discos I visited:

Broadway:- The biggest and most professional run go-go town. Around +60 BGs, personally I found this to be the busiest spot in town and consequently had a higher guest to girl ratio. The approach here was generally through the five or so Mammas or the Papa. The Papa is an odd-looking fella with bleached blond hair. They do push the girls here, no such thing as a quiet drink but they tried to match up guests requests as far as I could see. Had a great laugh here with a BG and Head Mamma.

Incidentally, the Mammas in Broadway are collectively a frightening sight – they look like the Samoan forward pack.

Prices: Bar fine/LT was Peso1000/1000, plus no doubt a tip for good performance. Drinks, well not sure of the individual prices but four Lady drinks and two San Miguel came to 1000 peso

Pink Panther:- Don’t bother

Sunset Disco:- Smaller than most bars with around 25BGs. An odd feature was the Christmas decorations; including a fully lit Christmas tree in one corner…….I did not ask why.

Here the girls approached the punter and the Mamas seemed to stay in the background. An ugly woman decided I was going to be her meal ticket for the night. She either had a huge zit on her nose or a rather ugly stud; it was too dark to tell. There were some lookers but something about the place did not hit with me so moved on.

Prices: Bar fine/LT was Peso1000/1000. Drinks, a Lady drink cost me P230 and a SMG was P60.

Village Disco:- Was an OK Place nothing special, maybe 45 BGs cannot recall prices and did not note at the time I am afraid, apologies.

Sabang Disco:- My personal favourite of the lot, for no other reason than I had a good laugh with some of the BGs and found the bunch I spoke to great fun. Also had a good laugh with the head Mama, who the girls seemed to like greatly.

I would say there were 60 girls, some great some……not. Found a stunner here, 20 years old but now back in Manila. A beautiful girl in almost every respect, sadly a bad case of Farmer feet. She could have made better money as an extra in lord of the rings as a body part double for a Hobbit’s foot than as a BG. Still feet have never been one of my things and it did not spoil the arrangement for me. Spent a couple of days with her, When I got back from diving around 4:00pm I’d call her, she would be with me in ten minutes and stopped until 8:30 next day when I went off to dive. She told me that she was new to the game, I normally take this with a pinch of salt but in this instance she seemed too sweet to have been around for a while. Never pestered me for drinks and was very happy with P500 tip on top of the payment to the bar.

Prices: usual 1000/1000 but I did like the pay the girl later option if required. Drinks were LD200 SMG 60

General Info:-

A map of Sabang is attached showing the general lay out and locations mentioned. I hope it is big enough to view.

In the Discos there are dancers who unenthusiastically wander around the stage and do some pole work, they also like to do the splits .....a lot, I found they were available. Generally the bar girls will also do a “dance” or two between the dancer’s sets. This is important as you get the chance to have a good look at the goods and pick best!

As ever, people and places change. I can only advise my personal impressions and experiences as at end Sept 2007. The BGs are paid monthly on the first of the month and the ones who are going to leave go on the second of the month. I would assume this would mean there are fewer BGs around early in the month but am not sure if this makes a material difference as there seemed plenty to go around.

Other information:-

Eddies, a bar off the beach, has good food and drinks were ridiculously inexpensive SMG P45 - Coke P25.

Big Apple, Food not as good as Eddies (IMHO) but OK and great service, they have two pool tables and from my observation a small number of BGs/FL in there, though I do not know which.

Broadway also have a bar (with two pool tables), the disco is through a door at the back.

There was no floating bar when I was there.

Tropicana good pizza, cannot remember the cost.

Jeepney to PG from Sabang P15

Take cash with you, credit cards can be used in hotels the rest you pay for the old fashoned way and there is no ATM. I was very pleasantly surprised at how little cash I used.

Hello Wanderer,

Thank you for posting a fine report, as you promised.
You have answered many questions for me but I have one more:
How was the diving?

Well. An inquiring mind wants to know has anyone ever done the mongering scene in Baguio and if so what bars are the best ones to go too. Baguio being a college town I would think maybe a few good bars there to bf a lady. Anyone have any experience there?

Hello Wanderer,

Mattrick

After I got her to shave her bush the muff diving was great. Just in case you referred to scuba:-

This was my first diving trip to Sabang and I will definitely return. I took 12 dives over 4 days and cannot say I had a bad one. At times the currents were fierce, not for the faint hearted. In general vis was fine - around 15M, water warm and the beauty of the place is the number of class dive sites that can be reached in 20/30 minutes from Sabang. Also recommend a trip out to the Verdy Islands for a great drift / wall dive.

All in all, if you want to F*ck at night, dive during the day and put little effort in to obtaining either then there are not many destinations that can compete.

Hello, first time poster, long time reader.

I, m finally getting away from canada and will be on a chill out vacation in Phills. I am a seasoned traveller, many times to Thailand, south america etc.

I think I will enjoy phills because I like the small asian chicks and they speak english. I don't think I would like Angles city and that scene, something like a tacky Pataya I, m imagining.

I want a laid back place to rent a beach bungalow, nice beach, some kool resturants, bars within walking distance. And I want to get laid everyday or second day by a little stunner.

Is Puorto Galera the place?

I would appreciate some input and thank you in advance.

I've been 5 times in Sabang Beach Puerto Galera. It is a very nice place with some go-go bars. But I would say that it's mainly place for diving with some very nice evening activity :o)

But if diving is not your thing there has to be better places to stay. Sabang does not have very nice beach and supply of girls is limited due to size of place.
Don't get me wrong, I love the place but that's because I love diving and that is easy there. Go-go bars are nice plus for the PG but just for the beach vacation I would try to find some other place, perhaps go more south to Cebu.

I have not been anywhere else in Phil so don't know if I'm right or not.

Puerta Galera is also the place the first comes to my mind, but is it really easy to get there? I remember a long van/ bus ride and then a ferry which is delayed or cancelled if the sea is choppy. I suppose the transportation is cheap (from Manila) and this would be ideal if you are taking a girl or two -- although that is apparently unnecessary.

Dumaguete or Davao should be considered, although the p4p is limited. This will require an extra flight, so if you have a short holiday you need to take that into consideration. Cebu City has some nice naughty nightlife, but getting then you need to get to dive sites...again, you may have a long van / bus ride.

There is some European guy who has a massive web site of pictures from the Philippines. Not many lady pictures / info, but a little. Many pics from Puerto Galera. Search for Saban or Puerta Galera and it should come up. Or maybe someone here has it on file.

Thanks mr. Xman, I, m leaning towards PG because it does have some nightlife and one would not get too bored. The only thing I don't like is all my reports seem to say the same thing that the beach is really polluted and shitty. But I guess one can take a boat for a few hours to a little private beach? I think? Boracay would get a wee bit boring if your on your own? I, m not sure about packing pussy along from Manilla or AC as one may get tired of her after a few days then you have the hassle of dealing with her and getting her back. Nothing beats the old fuk and cuk.

The Sabang area has Sabang Beach (not very good beach, mostly pebble). However, a 5 minute walk from Sabang Beach are the two La Laguna beaches, which have nice resorts and nice sandy beaches. Then you can go to Sabang area for the nightlife.

5 more months to go and the weddings on. marrying my sweetie from bayugan city. everythings ok. she's ready to be a mother so i hope towards the end of the year we have our first child. she don't want to live in canada(is that strange??..lol). i will be relocating there, not immediately though.

on a sadder note a relative who resided next to grannys house died last week. only 26 years old. i heard he was drunk and encountered another drunk on the street. the guy hit him and he fell and split his skull on the pavement. was in a coma and died on the way to davao city. we had a couple good drinking sessions at the videoake with him and others. even though we couldn't communicate well, i found him to be a real nice guy. he leaves behind 2 kids. his ex-wife, i don't think she gives a damn. strange it's usually the guy who doesn't care. granny and gramps have the kids now.

my future wife heads back to college for the 2nd semester today. she's very popular. has been asked to join the band, pageant, you name it. school keeps her from being bored at home. it's always nice to be around your peers and have fun. she's taking computer secretarial, which isn't anything major, but the college in bayugan doesn't offer much. can't wait to return.

mmmm. jollibee crispy chicken burgers. eat ‘em for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

i arrive at the domestic airport in manila for my flight to tacloban and damn if they haven’t instituted the liquids in small bottles policy. the old “containers of no more than 100ml in a clear plastic resealable bag of no more than one litre capacity”. and i’ve still got that unopened one litre bottle of scotch from the hong kong duty free in my bag! what to do? check my bags? never! how about a little obfurep001ion? reorganize my stuff into their regular config, with my toothpaste, deodorant, etc. in my ziplock bag. pull that out at the security checkpoint and confidently move through. the guy was inordinately interested in the contents of my pockets (wallet, passport,…) but the people at the x-ray machine let my scotch right on through. success!

tacloban:

stayed at leyte park resort, which is finally in the process of renovations. the renovated rooms look really nice, at first, but after a few minutes you realize that they haven't actually replaced or improved anything, just put some nice coats of paint on, to brighten it up. the rotary dial phone should have been a dead giveaway!

some of the “improvements”, like the new faucet on the sink, are so badly executed that it doesn't open properly because it's too high and the frame for the mirror interferes with opening it. and they now stock the fridges, but they still keep them unplugged. which is kind of scary when they're keeping juices and beers in it, products with limited shelf life that are meant to be kept refrigerated. so i plugged the fridge in and within a day everything
inside was frozen solid! and even besides that the electricals are a little scary. i plugged my ipod dock into the wall...well actually not into the wall, into my voltage converter which was plugged into the wall, which shouldn't be necessary...and when i went to touch the ipod i got a shock off of it!

and the service is equally bad. my first day my room wasn't cleaned at all. second day they show up at 10:00 and i tell them to come back in 30 minutes because i'm just getting into the shower. i'm gone within 30 min. and when i come back, five and a half hours later, they still hadn't cleaned my room! i had to go to the front desk and ask them to send someone, and it was still another hour before it was done. that trend basically continued for the rest of my stay.

but for all of its problems, it's still a beautiful location and relatively
convenient to the rest of the city. and most of the staff (and even the guys doing the renovations) were very friendly. even the trike drivers and others along del pilar, outside the resort, got used to seeing me after a few days and were always very friendly.

a few directions to places mentioned by previous posters. inzomnia disco is on real st. at the end of gomez. schooner and bikini night clubs (and one other, i couldn't find the eight or nine that any hole mentioned) are further south along real st., heading out of town (back towards the airport).

i stopped in at bikini, but mostly fatties, although there was one cutie. had one beer and moved across the street to schooner.

the girls at schooner mostly dance one at a time, for two songs, first in skimpy clothing and the second semi-nude. occasionally they get up in groups. girl who was up when i came in had a bit of a belly on her, and the second girl was just plain fat. any hole had said that the “bar had girls of far better quality than ac, i suppose up to manilla standards”, but i'm not seeing it so far. third girl was nicer. the fourth was a jaw dropper. top shelf? more like top model. tall, leggy, flawless body and a beautiful face. and had all of the catwalk moves down, too.

after about an hour, i'm wondering what's going on, and how this place works, as noone other than my waiter has spoken a word to me. and all of the girls go directly from the stage to the back of the bar where it's dark and you couldn't call one of them over to the table. i'm the only white face in the house, and usually the mamasan would be all over me, the moment i sat down. had three beers and gave up.

came back a couple of nights later and exactly the same story. and the top model wasn't in that night. i even made eye contact with the mamasan at one point and she turned away and moved to another table where there was a pillar between us. what the f...??!!

but the place has a number of beauties so i'm not entirely prepared to give up. my last night in town and i'm tempted to walk in and sit my butt right down on the seat next to the mamasan and give her a lesson in economics and how she and her girls should be more friendly. but the top model is on the stage and i decide to sit down and watch and give her my undivided attention. all of a sudden i'm getting smiles and flirtatious looks from her. but i'm thinking... hmmm...she's changed her hair...and her face? i don't think this is the same girl, but equally as hot and with almost as good moves. and a girl that's friendly for a change! sure enough, a couple of songs later five of the girls get up on stage together and there's top model #1. my gawd, there's two of them! and you could see that model #1 (mae) knew that she now had some worthy competition, as she started showing more skin than previously. i'm predicting some catfights backstage between these two!

so top model #2 (pia) comes over to sit with me. maybe not the level of sophistication as mae, but every bit as much the hottie, and very friendly. mae was the classic asian hottie (maybe a bit of chinoy) while pia was totally pinay. as the evening went on, i slowly figured out how the place operates.

1.60p per san mig
2.50p admission fee, added to your first drink
3.the girls are not allowed to sit with a customer unless the customer has bought them
a drink
4.100p for the girl to sit down with you (per girl: three girls, 300p)
5.200p per ladies drink
6.barfine 3000p: pia said that it was only for 3 hours, not the whole night. but that was her first night and maybe she was just being a good businesswoman and trying to get back in time for a second trick.
7.there are some vip rooms in the back. 2000p for “drinks”. and whatever you and the girl want to engage in.

so after a few drinks with the lovely pia (20 y.o. just arrived from zamboanga but not new to dancing as she had worked in cebu), she was tired after a long trip so i promised to come back, the next night.

after my second failed attempt at schooner, i dropped in at inzomnia to see what it was like. got there around 11:30 on a saturday night, so still a little early. it's quite small and i'm not sure how they call it a disco, because i can't see where there's room to dance. but even this place had everything screwed up. when i came in there was exactly one table and two
barstools available. and another five tables and six barstools marked “reserved”. half an hour later the place had filled up significantly. there were people stuffed into corners, stepping on each others toes, but still all those empty seats for the “reserved”. so essentially this is a place that goes out of its way to inconvenience its paying customers while giving preference to people who haven't even showed up.

doesn't anyone in this town have the ability to run a business competently?

back in schooner with pia the next night. you're always afraid that a girl with those sort of looks will rely entirely on her looks to captivate her man, and be a complete starfish. but this girl put some effort in, and she could move in such a sensuous manner that it was like being intimate with the most gorgeous snake you've ever met! i took the vip room option. big room with benches all around. not like the “bed with walls” room of the termas in rio. more like being a teenager, making out with you girlfriend on her parents’ couch! and pia delivered! as beautiful out of her clothes as in them. when her turn to dance came up, i let her go to dance because i loved to watch her walk! and then it’s just a manner of enjoying that marvellous body. it was a wonderful case of serendipity. enjoying every millimetre of her body with my lips and tongue raised her to a state of excitement that she was basically tearing my pants off to get me into her. i’m still in touch with this girl. she’s not some virginal beauty, but amazing!

in some ways i love this town. in other ways, it drives me away screaming!!

I saw a young cutie around the war monument at the park around 2:00 in the afternoon. She was obviously trawling for work but I’d just got into town and didn’t approach her. Shame, because I never found anything as nice as her, later on.

FYI, there is even a go-go in Ormoc. It’s up a set of stairs in the alley behind the bus station (the northern enclosure across from the Supercat terminal). You can follow the neon and music. I walked in around midnight and there was nothing but a few older hardcore ladies, so I passed, but it might be better earlier on.

there are some fellows in here suggesting to bring a girl from angeles or whereer to boracay. in my eyes, therefore is no need. i have been here the first time and only for 6 days, but as far as i can see there are a lot of oportunities.

freelancers:

some girls from manila, cebu or other places try to mix their way of earning money and spending time at a nice place. so they stay here in some boarding houses and join the beach in the day, and the bars in nighttime. you find them easily, cause they will find you too. walking up the whole beach and back again at a friday aternoon, smiling and talking to some of them gave me 7 phonenumbers. okay, five of them nowbody will call even if they pay for our service, but two have been really nice. one of them was not in the freeancer category, she was a:

staff girls:

boracay is full with restaurants, bars, cafes and offers a lot of working possibilities for filipinas. so many of them come from other cities and do work in here. when they finished the job or have free time, they are mostly openminded. sure: boracay is not a big la cafe like in manila. these working girls do not join you offering full service one hour after you met them. it takes some time to conquer their hard. anyway, if you compare it with europe or the us, it is still high speed. two or three days, and they are yours. this does not mean that every 70 year old beer bally guy will be successfull to catch a 18 year old miss boracay. it needs some sympathie of them too. i m 40, with usual overweight, not incredibleugly but also not the type of guy ladies in germany are running to in dozends. in here i catched a 21 year old cutie. one more note: try to find a wingman. girls normaly do not go arround alone, but always with a best friend. so it is much more easy, if you have a best friend at your side too. forgotten to say: also there are some girls who cancelled their job in one place, and have a week or two before starting a new one. these ons can stay with you day and night if you want, the staff girls sometimes have to go working. but if they want, they can be very flexibel in doing this:.)

things to do:

in my eyes boracay is a relaxing and hangout place. their are some diving instructors, but i can not tell anything about. never done. kite surfers after a taifun seems to have excellent oportunities. something you can do is so called "island hopping". a small boat brings you to several beaches. 2 hour trip is 1800 peso, and it is the same if there are 1 or 6 people on board. so this is a excellent oportunity to invite the ladies you met before. they love it, you are generous, and it cost you nothing if you also want to do it.

places to go:

a lot of clubs are located at the sandy footpath along the beach between boat station one and boat station two. as far as i could see, "summer place" which is maybe 200 meter down from d-mall, is a busy one, mostely with some girls inside who will be interested to meet. also juicebar and hei jude seems to be good, they are 50 meters left and right. arround midnight is the best time to enter. but its easy to walk up and down and have a look where the crowd is tonight.

another place, which is always packed, is cocomangas. right now the beachfront bar is under construction, but there is a big one beside the main road. main road in boracay is winding, sometimes 400 meter away from the beach, sometimes only 20. near cocomangas its 20, so you can also go at the beach and then walk up to road. in cocomangas you will find really a lot of girls, and on weekend it is totaly overcrowded. then there are a lot of filipinos with their girl friends. even if firearms inside bar are not allowed: take care.

hotels:

not every beach resort is located directly at the beach. at these places where the space between main road and beach is a big one, are dozends of beach resorts without beach access or beach view. i stayed at jonys, where the hotel is on the other side from main road, but restaurant is in the sandy beach. they gave me the superior de luxe for 3300 peso. room was really nice, aircon, tv, very big bath queensize bed and a small one too, balcony with seaview. very poor breakfast. i was looking arround bit to other places too, and think this is not the best, but also not the worst deal. and it is only one minute walking to cocomangas. and of course yes, they have been girlfriendly.

trycicle:

inland transportation is trycicle. a normal ride, for example from cocomangas to d-mall (which is something like a open-air-shopping-center) is 7 peso. if you give the ammount to the driver after you are there, everything is okay. if you ask about the price before entering, they will try to carge you 20, 40 0r 50. after 10 pm it can be difficult to find somebody who will go for this. i never paid more then 20. of course you can also walk at the beach. not to safe money, but its nice and safe. and of course you can not walk there with your filipina: oh my god, are these girls lazy:.)

so to everybody: enjoy the trip and have a great time.

editor's note: i certainly hope that the author or somebody else will post a link to this report in the reports of distinction thread. please click here (http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/announcement-reportsofdistinction.php?) for more information.

avoid the go-go/strip bars as their prices are driven outrageously by the japanese/korean tourists and local sugar barons. they are concentrated mostly in the goldenfields commercial complex, the area where the casino filipino is located. i stayed at the new days hotel there, which at p980 (double occupation) a night is the biggest bang for your buck in the area. definitely girl-friendly. (see attachment)...

now back to the bars, the biggest i entered, the "wild cat" had ladies drinks amounting to p390, vip "short time" rooms for p3000 and bar fine at p4500. insane considering it is even higher than manila prices. i am a local so i don't see this as a special "foreigner" price. also, i noticed most of the girls here came from outside bacolod - bohol, dumaguete and cebu - and sleep in the bars so don't expect some "freelance" action after their work. dangerously, some girls admitted to me being ****, and laying a girl below 18 is punishable by death in philippine law. so take caution! avoid also the streetwalkers in the goldenfields area - they will haggle with you for a low price but not much action when she comes to your room, will make up a lot of excuses - from menstruation to crying baby at home.

if you are looking for real gfe action, i suggest you approach your hotel boy or taxi driver. they pimp student or housewife "part timers". prices range from p1000-p2000 and they come to your room. the only drawback is that you can only get them before 5pm... probably because of dorm curfew or suspecting husband... but its worth it! if you have fun, get their celphone numbers and arrange a second meeting directly for a more flexible time. if you are in bacolod, call jeffrey... 0916-314-6922, he's actually a taxi driver but will show you a good time... honest and he speaks very good english since he's used to touring foreigners.

In Zamboanga there lives a beauty called Darmina. She is 21. She shows every day on the Internet at $25 for 15 mins. She is nice girl and speaks good English. Does very well financially. She is looking for a foreigner to marry and frankly she is a good catch. She comes to Manila for a week at a time if the offer is good. I enjoyed. Here are her pics.

Hi X. Good to see you again on New Years. The airport to which you refer may be in Tawi-Tawi since the new airport construction has recently been announced there. I think there are also plans to build a new airport in Sulu, or at least to substantially upgrade the old one.

I dated regular women when I was in CDO. Did pretty well too. Below is a compliation of info I copied from earlier posts. Most of it is old. I think the original posters were GE, Mahku and possible some others. I hope they don't mind this cut and paste.
***
Cagayan de Oro

I spent a couple of weeknights around a cluster of shops called 'The Site.'
The name would seem to be a ripoff of The Venue in Davao, but really there is no comparison. Most of the places here are coffee shops and restaurants. There's just one live band place upstairs. On the weeknights it was an acoustic band doing mellow stuff like Norah Jones tunes. I didn't see any girls to hit on either of these nights. But it might get going over the weekend. Also, I hear they have parking lot parties here sometimes.

Xcite bar, which I mentioned in the last post, was closed on Sunday and Monday.

Divisoria Street: This is the boulevard like strip in the middle of town that has a lot of fast food joints. On weekend nights the traffic is blocked off and it becomes a huge block party with lots of food stands and what not.

Home Court Bar: This is one of the strip bars mentioned by GE a while back. I went in here one night after I sent my girl home, and had a talk with the mama san. It's really not a very appealing scene, with about 30 guys ogling only one dancer at a time. A FEW of the dancers are seriously good looking, others are fairly repulsive. The mama san said that 185 pesos gets you 30 minutes to talk to one of the dancers (like a Japanese hostess bar, but cheaper). You can also get a private room for 1500 pesos, which includes lots of drinks. There you can negotiate with the girl for whatever action you want. When they aren't dancing, the girls are waiting in a fish bowl in the back where you can check them out and choose. Finally, you can bar fine for 3000, take the girl home and negotiate for her cut. This is the only bar of this kind that I visited, but I have a feeling the others will be something similar. So you can see it's not worth a special visit to Cagayan for any bargirl scene.

Italian restaurant: Go straight out the door from Dynasty Court, cross the street, keep going straight for about 100 feet. It's run by an expat Italian.

There's white water rafting for 1200 per person. Besides that there is the usualy mall and movie stuff. The beaches are just outside of town with some of that dark sand.

So to sum up Cagayan, it's a great place for a GFE with a girl that you've been chatting with for some time, or with a girl that you meet here and court for a day or two. If you are really stuck and needy then the bargirl stuff exists for a higher price and lower quality than more well-known locales.

Taxis from the airport to town are about 120 or so. From Pryce Plaza to town about 50.

I haven't experienced or heard of a hotel that's not guest friendly. The Pryce Plaza is, well, prycey and not so central. But I like being away from all the damn traffic noise and diesel fumes. And I like having a gym and a pool.

Mahku 8.05 Cagayan de Oro

We went to the Xcite live band bar across the street from Dynasty Court Hotel. Even though we were pretty early there were still a couple of tables of office girl types. They looked approachable enough and I would like to have tried. This place usually has pretty good bands so it's good to hang out even if you don't connect with anyone.

Cagayan is a college town so the malls and the streets are a parade of eye candy. I consider this place like a smaller version of Davao. There are lots of possibilities to chat up a girl from here on the internet and then have her ready and waiting for you when you arrive.
Pryce Plaza Hotel. Depending on the season and how busy they are you can pay anywhere from 2000 to 4000 for a room with a great view of the town and beyond. I find a good view helps a girl to get horny. Unfortunately this place, like so many others in this country, suffers from neglect and is falling apart one shower head at a time. Dynasty Court is good and centrally located though it doesn't have a pool or a gym. I stayed at Country Village Hotel the first night because the Pryce was full. But it's also falling apart and the shower didn't really work. It's also not a good location.

Cagayan de Oro / GE

Bar fines are high, PhP3,000-3,500 which includes full service for as long as you like. All of the girls however, I'm told, will make an arrangement to meet you later. Three of the clubs: Bada Bing, On Tic, and Home Court are on the same block, and it's easy to walk from one to the other. There's little or no pressure in the bar to buy drinks or to buy ladies drinks which are PhP250. In short, the atmosphere is pretty relaxed, fairly friendly, and it's easy to have a good time. There are very, very few expats, so you will attract some attention if you go, but no hostility.

Best of all perhaps, CDO is a very safe city. There has been no violence there in years, and you can walk the streets in without fear. Taxis (metered) are abundant, and I did notice a smattering of street walkers. I'm told that the best club is Pyramid, which I did not see. It's somewhat outside of the city. There's another called Cora's which I noticed in passing, and numerous other KTVs around the town.
I stayed at the Dynasty, with a deluxe room for P1,600. It was hardly spectacular, but it was clean and comfortable, and it had air conditioning and cable TV. The bar of choice remains Bada Bing, which has 20 or 25 really pretty ladies who start dancing semi-nude and get down to skin and shoes quickly. The barfine is steep at P3,500, which inlcudes the girl's time and the mama sans are a bit of a pain in the ass. The girls are happy to meet you after the 2 AM closing if you want to avoid the fine. I'm told that the Pyramid Bar has more girls than Bada Bing, but I never went there. There are also lots of smaller KTV/Disco bars all over town and women on the street.

5 hours by air conditioned bus from Davao.

Do anyone have info about the nightlife in Cagayan De Oro?

Thanks,

Thanks for this valuable info. I also plan to visit Dipolog. Any updates on the night life in this place ?

If you are really stuck and needy then the bargirl stuff exists for a higher price and lower quality than more well-known locales.

pakawan is certainly a place to bring your own action. i presume the guy asking about dipolog is planning on going to dakak beach resort. dapitan/dipolog likely has some local oriented action, but very few foreigners go there and most dakak guests never leave the resort. ozamis or oroquieta city would likely be much better (i brought a girl to dakak and only ventured out once and found not much of interest).

finally, agent orange wrote:
dangerously, some girls admitted to me being ****, and laying a girl below 18 is punishable by death in philippine law.

discussion of anything pertaining to **** girls is not allowed on most websites so i only wish to mention that the death penalty only technically applied to "child [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123)" (meaning a girl below 12)in the philippines, and that was before the death penalty was abolished entirely several years ago. however, after a period of confinement in a philippine prison the death penalty might seem desirable (comparatively speaking) to most foreigners.

I have a home in Dipolog.
Its not a place where foreigners go in any numbers, so there is only local style entertainment there.
Its a place for the experienced not newbies. (I dont know what your category is)
There are many girls from the area hanging out on dating sites, DIA is one good source. So it is possible to arrange some girls to meet when you get there.
The girls you will meet there are husband hunting & have no experience of playing games with foreigners. Your not likely to find girls who will put out for a little donation.. ahem
There is a nice black sand beach over near b'gy galas. Its the real philippines there. You will be the ONLY foreigner on the beach, in the street etc most of the time.
Foreigners are not unknown (there is a small enclave living in a new sub division) and are very welcome.

Happy Mongering!

What is the scoop?Plenty of possibilities lots hanging around the small park of the high st. But generally not high quality. Other than that the bar anchor is always a good place. There are alwaays the "discos" I've never been known to strike out and I'm not exactly brad pit. Also managed a couple of freebies from girls looking for a good time with the option of a long term boyfriend.

Next trip I fly direct to Cebu, and then thinking about this:
1) a return trip to CDO (and environs). I went there two years ago.
2) a newbie trip to Ormoc, Leyte

1) Others have already given great info about Malberry hotel. Thanks. I'll be chasing online gals, but i recently hear about a place called Spooks (gogo bar 3,000 pesos /$70). Does anyone have any details? Location? Ex-girlfriend phone numbers? Mamasan's name?

Last time I stayed at Dynasty, and never made it to Xcite, the disco next door. It did keep me awake though. My best memories of the hotel were some especially fine-looking, early 20ish reception staff. One was 5'7, the other 5'5 (with braces). I got both of their email addresses, and sent them the pic I took, but somehow can't find them now.

Camiguin....can anyone elaborate?
I understand: you can fly from Cebu with SEAir (www.flyseair). THe alternative is find transportation for the 80km from CDO to Balingoan, and then take a ferry to the south part of the island. The airport is on the north side. I've seen beautiful white sand beach pics, but other said it's the only white sand beach...

2) 20 years of going to Philippines, and loving the little brown beauties of Leyte, but I've never made it to this place. I've found a recommendation for a hotel near the port/ park / bayfront. (thanks ds)

Does anyone have advice about a beach? Snorkeling? I'm not a diver.

Of course any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

X Man ( someone who rarely posts here, so hope I'll be forgiven for asking for help)

I had asked before for some info on ths place but seems no one haad ever been there.

I finally made it there for new years so............

Fort Ilocandia Resort and Casino Laoag, Luzon is a very nice beach front place but remote. it is about 20 minutes in a taxi/jeepny to Laoag the closest city to the resort. The city of Laoag is typical small city in PI. Limited shopping and things to do. They do have a Mcdonalds. I looked around for action one night when I was able to leave my GF with her friends and head into the city. The only place I found was what I have attached in this photo. there were only a few girls there and they were not very good but it seemed to be the only action in town.
If you go, take a girl with you is my suggestion.
This Resort is set up for Chinese tourists and is owned by a Hong Kong Company

Good report on the Fort. There is an international airport there as well.I go to Ilocos Sur every year and I often travel up to Laoag(Ilocos Norte) for a bit of a change. Your right, there isn't too much to do at night, but it sounds as though you didn't visit Barrio Uno, the city's famous "red light district", everyone knows how to get there if you ask them. It is a neighborhood packed with about 15 to 20 bars not too many lookers but if you take your time you can find something good. I'm headed that way in 2 1/2 weeks after a couple of days in AC...

Hi X Man, love your work.

I've been to Camiguin three times since 2005 with my gf, now wife. It's by far my favourite place, although I'm not that well travelled in the Phils. I've travelled both by road/ferry from CDO and flying from Cebu. The plane is maybe a 20-seater twin propeller plane, it was fine. You go over the top of Bohol, so you can see the chocolate hills on a clear day. I wouldn't want to be in a plane that size in a big blow though! The road/ferry was ok as well, although we usually hire a taxi driver thru my brother-in-law.

Don't go to Camiguin for the beaches. They've got nothing! You see a beautiful white sand beach when arriving by ferry, but its the only one, and it is very hard to get to (slippery, steep dirt road). When you get there, there are signs asking you to abstain from immoral activities! It is apparently a sanctuary for wildlife, and is managed by a quite religious couple. Not somewhere to go for a swim at all. But I loved the hot springs, cold springs, soda springs and waterfalls. There is also a sandbar about 1 kilometre offshore near most of the accommodation places called White Island, and this is probably what you saw a photo of. I suppose it is worth the short trip out there, if only to get some good photos of Camiguin from that perspective.

We usually stay at a place called Bahay Bakasyunan, which is a bit away from the main town, but very relaxing. I've only ever stayed in the older style rooms, which are fine, but they've now built a couple of new bungalows which look great (depending on budget). Transport into town is very easy, motorelas are always going both ways. We've also stayed at Paros Beach Resort (when Bahay was booked out), which is often quite a bit busier (had a shitload of Korean kids running amok last time).

I've hired motorbikes there usually to go on day trips around the island, but once also hired a van when we had a couple of relatives with us. The hot springs is great in the early evening, and the other springs & waterfalls are worth stopping at whan travelling around the island (about 70kms around). The is a seafood restaurant near Benoni (where the ferry arrives) on pontoons over a lake which is nice. Apparently the Italian restaurant near town is good too (untried, but run by an Italian guy). The main town, Mambajao, is very pleasant, very laidback.

Let me know if you want any more info,

Taster

The Italian restaurant between town and Paras Beach Resort , Paraiso, is excellent (although the service is Filipino slow, even if we were the only customers). Owned by an Italian guy and his Filipina wife.

Paras Beach Resort has a kareoke bar placed smack dab in the middle of the resort as well as several pool tables, so while the facilities are the best (including the nice beachfront swimming pool), it would be very noisy to stay there. Those who want creature comforts should stay here (but bring earplugs). The serenity of Camiguin is one of the big draws for me, in addition to the scenery and friendly people, so Paras does not appeal to me as a place to stay.

The ferry is VERY slow, and it takes almost an hour to get to the ferry terminal from the resort area of Camiguin. Baligoan to CDO takes another 90 minutes, and if you are flying the CDO airport is another 20-30 minutes past the city up in the hills. The SEair flight offers GREAT views and is the best way to get there, but it is not advisable for those who are squeamish about bumpy rides in a small airplane and it only goes three days per week.

Those wanting broad expanse of white sand beach should go to Boracay or Malapascua instead as tester note the paucity of beaches on Camigin.

I am writing for the first in this forum and I hope somebody can help me. I will soon go for a trip to Manila, Boracay and around Puerto Galera. I am into massages with skilled hj and possibly bbbj. I have been many times to Bangkok and I love those Japanese-Korean places where you get a scrub and a good performance but saying that a nice relaxing couple of hours of oil massage will do. How much would it cost. I presume that in Manila will be no problem but what about Boracay? Does somebody have some suggestion? maybe name places or of nice girls. Next time I will contribute from my part since I am a bit of an expert

While there has been a proliferation of massage places in the PI, including ones claiming to offer what Po, IMHO you are going to the wrong place for what you seek. Even Manila will likely disappoint you.

You are way better off sticking to Thailand. You might find a good one in PI but much more hit or miss. Better to stick with Ratchadaphisek area of BKK (or Second Road in Pattaya).

I am into massages with skilled hj and possibly bbbj. I have been many times to Bangkok and I love those Japanese-Korean places where you get a scrub and a good performanceThe best place for what you are looking for is Ginza, on Quezon Avenue in Quezon City (across Punchline). You get an excellent massage and guaranteed extra service (HJ, rarely BJ). The best attendants will give you a special 2 hands massage of your private parts while you lay on your belly and it's masarap.

Best numbers by my experience: 7, 10, 12, 15, 24, 82, 105 with 82 being by far the prettiest and 7, 10 giving BBBJ. Others may not be that pretty but very skilled.

You will have difficulty finding other places like it in Manila. Usually, in places setup to give you extra service the massage is bad or non-existent, and in places where you get a good massage you can't be sure you'll get extra service. Ginza is one of the few exceptions to that rule and the best among them.

For more information check http://manilatonight.com/index.php?showforum=168

I hope you'll have fun with that - in return I would appreciate some tips on similar Japanese-Korean places in Bangkok or Pattaya. Thanks.

The Manila massage parlors are not even in the same league with the ones in Thailand. In Thailand it is an art form.

Thanks Taster for some good info on Camiguin. Still not sure I'll make it, especially since work obligations now mean my vacation is shorter.

I do hope to go to Leyte though. Never been there, so does anyone have any info that hasn't already been given. My plan is Superferry to Ormoc and stay at the San Felipe Hotel, which i understand is at the downtown waterfront. I have some chat friends in Maasin, baybay, and Tacloban, but not sure if its worthwhile or necessary to leave Ormoc.

The SEAir flight leaves MWF mornings about 9am from Cebu to Mambajao Airport on Camiguin. You can take the 6am PAL or Cebu Pacific flight from MNL then connect in Cebu but better to overnight in Cebu IMHO as that lets you get to the airport at a more civilized 8am. Days Hotel is 2 minutes from airport and $50 on asiatravel.com, or if you got bucks stay at the 5star Waterfront hotel next door to the airport.

Nice little spot with very good food and the best single malt collection in PI. The owner is Tom a Canadian who built the place with his local wife. Very popular with local expats because of the food and staff great, a couple of cutie waitresses Just up the beach from Paras.

They have about a dozen cottages, and a dive shop We stayed for a few days, a group of us had a rent a car out of Cagayan so drove then took the ferry to the island. I visited the island 20 years ago, still a great place. No chicks, bring your own from Cebu or Cagayan.

Spent the week up in the province(8 hours north of Angeles City)on the coast of the So China Sea. I took care of personal busiiness during the day and went out to the little cluster of clubs in Candon a couple of nights. This year there was great talent pulled in from Manila. These clubs are for locals, we were the only westerners. Met up with 3 hot lovely's I couldn't believe the quality. Here, they will strip down completely during the coarse of a couple of songs. The girl I choose was about 5'5" and 20 yrs old. We hung out watching the show and joking with our companions for a couple of hours. During my absense some investor, who now lives in Hawaii, built a decent Hotel across the street. The barfine was P1350 and off we go for a happy ending to a fun night.

Went back one more time the night before we left to go back to AC. I took another girl Crestina, who I met last year and spent time with for 3 days, I had to work at her though cause the other night when I was there she was trying to get my attension but for some reason I didn't recognise her. She is funny with a great attitude but made me grovel. I didn't mind as she is really, really beautiful, spent the night with her and left for AC at 5:30am with 1 hour sleep...

Never made it to Camiguin, nor was able to revisit CDO.

My holiday was cut short at the last moment. I did visit Ormoc and Beybey.

Hope to give a report sometime soon.

I have been planning for some time to move permanently to the Philippines, and I have been searching on Cherry Blossoms for suitable girl friends for long time relationship(s). So my trip had three objectives. The first, to get a good, thorough fucking, second, to find a gf, third to explore business opportunities. By setting up a series of meetings with potential gf, I planned to get a fair amount of sex for free, and for them to be cleanskins, no need for condoms, which I hate using. My specifications were taller than average, thin, about 30, no babies.

Well, it was an interesting experience. First, the common notion on the forum that girls are desperate to get into relationships with any foreigner, as a ticket out of the country, is false. I started with about 100 possibles which met the search criteria. About one third of my contacts turned out to be scammers, interested only in money for free. About one third never pursued our communications, and dropped off quickly. Of the rest, about 6 or 7 kept going, to the point of meeting up, and generally bedding. So maybe 10 percent were serious.

I had set up about 3 CB meetings in Butuan in advance, but as time progressed, the possibilities melted away, till all I had was a contact for a procurer, and one suspect CB contact. So I was pretty apprehensive. I checked into the Almont City hotel, it is very easy going, and the frequent comings and goings to my room didn’t raise an eyebrow.

I contacted the procurer, miss D when I got to the hotel. She was there in a flash. Far from good looking, but she was keen to show me her body, so she ripped her clothes off. Her body is pretty good, good tits, tight arse. But I could not see myself rooting her, because I suspected that she had spread herself round a bit.

Anyhow, just for any port in a storm, I gave her some money to get tested for STD’s, and if she came up clean, I could root her at will – it was all she wanted.

So, for the first evening, we ate, then I asked her to find a girl who would give me a good blow job. I waited in the room, just wearing a T shirt, and reading a book. This seemed to stretch her capacities, but eventually she turned up with two possibilities at about 11 pm. She pushed the first one through the door. There was not much talk, just some basic banter, and she took off her clothes. The body was pretty good, small, tight, but her face left a bit to be desired. I told her I wanted a bbbj, did she do that? She said yes, and got started, but she was bloody hopeless. So I told her to dress and leave. Shortly after, the second one appeared. She was not as good looking as the first, but once she got started, she was pretty well killed, and it was only a short time till I had offloaded my dirty water. I paid her 500 pesos, and she left. Soon after, Miss D appeared, stripped, and we climbed into bed, had a nice cuddle, and slept till late morning. We had a late breakfast, and I sent her on her way with some money to get her medical tests.

I had nothing to do in the morning, but check emails, and try to retrieve some of the mess that my CB arrangements had sunk to. While I was feeling sorry for myself, I was thinking about some of the techniques that had been suggested on the forum. There was a filipina, Miss E, sitting at the next computer, so I turned to her in part, and started talking about how hard it was to find a good filipina for a long term relationship, could she help me? She said OK, so I took out one of my calling cards and wrote my specification for a woman on the back. Sure enough, about 45 minutes later, she texted, got a conversation going, and suggested that we get together.

I agreed, then followed a series of texts where she was nervous about finding a short time hotel where she was not known by family or friends, She finally suggested that we meet at the Royal Plaza next morning at 9.

That evening, miss D invited me to go with her to meet her aunt, who she stayed with. I agreed, and we ended up in a higher than usual level of squatter settlement. The aunt had a part time husband, plus a bunch of kids, plus a number of others. I was offered a young woman who looked interesting. But it turned out that she had a child, and was 17. I explained that no westerner would contemplate any woman under 18 years of age.

I bought a case of beer for the guys and a case of soft drinks for the kids, plus some munchies for all. So we had a bit of a party, and then I left with Miss D. We got back to the hotel, and I asked her to find me a bbbj woman for the night. She ended up fronting with a pair of scrubbers. I chose one who did a fair job. Then I flicked her off, and Miss D came into the bed to sleep for the night again.

A day later, the aunt texted me, wanted to keep in touch. Seems she is flicking her part time husband off – he is actually just a live in, and she is interested. She is intelligent, well spoken, and keeps the household together. But I could never see myself rooting her. But she could probably provide a never ending stream of young juicy ones.

Remember that my goal has been to find a long time gf, as the primary objective of this trip.

I got rid of Miss D at about 7, to get organised for my assignation with Miss E.

I ate, showered and checked emails and texts, then headed over to the Royal Plaza at about 8.50. I checked into the biggest room that they had, for 700 pesos. Once I was in the room, I texted Miss E, and within a minute she was there. We stretched out on the bed for a minute or so, when she sat up, took off her top, then her jeans, then took mine off. She was all over me, sucking and licking. I picked her up, and into the shower for a quick clean up. Then onto the bed and I went down on her. She was instantly in orgasm, panting and heaving. After a while, she pushed me off, and rolled me onto my back. Then she slid down and got started. All she wanted was to suck my prick and get fucked. She didn’t stop for about 2 hours. Almost all the time, my prick was in her mouth, except for the times when I had it in her **** doggy style. It was amazing. I had never struck a woman whose entire interest was sex, of any type, who was so totally dedicated to sucking cock. She kept asking me of she was a good bbbj, was I satisfied, did I want more. Amazing.

Eventually we had to go, as she has classes. So we agreed to meet same time and place next morning.

There was one woman from CB who was in town and interested in meeting up, Miss G.. So I texted her, and we agreed to meet at the Guisano Mall. I got there on time, and there she was, beaming. But with a girth that I couldn’t get a saddle on, a lot more plump than as represented on her profile. So, being the gentleman that I am, I invited her to lunch, and she chose the local pizza place in the mall. We ate, and we made small talk. Eventually, she confessed that she had not been honest in her profile and photos; I said OK, but could we be friends. So we walked around the mall – pretty small, and not much to see. I said I would like to buy her something nice, what would she like. I suggested lingerie, something like that, but she wanted chocolates. So we went to the liquor store, which also sold boxed chocolates. She chose a big box, cost about 500 pesos. As we were at the checkout, she pointed to the checkout chick and asked if I would like her. This girl was very pretty, very slim, but exceedingly short. I tossed it up for a moment, then declined as gracefully as I could, as I had plans for the evening. But it showed that Miss G could act as a great procurer for next time, and I had established my bona fides.

In the afternoon, I was walking round town when I came across the hotel Karaga, so I decided to go in to check prices. I was shown a room, clean but well worn. On the way down the stairs, there was a bunch of giggling women, one of whom gave me a flashing smile. So I sidled up alongside and fired the standard questions. When it was clear that Miss F was unencumbered and willing, I slipped her a calling card. Within 30 mins she had texted, and there followed a stream of texts. She was more than interested.

I had arranged to have dinner with an Australian acquaintance that evening. We met up, had dinner at the hotel, then he took me over to Weegolds for beers and Filipino snacks. Unfortunately they were closing, so we only had time for one. Meantime, Miss F had been texting, so I decided that she should come to meet me. She turned up at Weegods with two equally good looking friends – what a joy. We decided to go over to Caraga Square for a few more beers. Caraga Square has a number of small bars and a live band. There were very few people there, but the music was good and the beer cold. Miss F was turning on the charm, but would not come with me to my room. So the night eventually came to an end, the girls went their way, and we went ours.

On the way back to the hotel, I texted Miss D to bring a bbbj girl for a quickie. It took her quite a while, and I eventually told her not to worry.

On my last day, I was a bit late getting up, showered, went down for breakfast, and texted Miss E re our meeting. She seemed a bit distracted, and I thought that she was losing interest. But eventually she texted, however time was getting tight for my flight. So I slipped over to the Royal Plaza, same room. They had not even made up the bed.

Miss E fronted within a couple of minutes. We agreed that I had to go in 45 minutes. So off with the gear and into it. Like yesterday, she was frienzied. I gave her a good tongue lashing to get started, and she almost burst her boiler when she came. And then she was on me. Like yesterday it was hard on sucking, drained me dry, then rolled over with her **** in the air for a doggie. I was flagging, but got it in and thumped away. Each time I hit home, she grunted, griping the side of the bed to stop sliding.. She flipped onto her back and hauled me down, then she wrapped her mouth round my prick again. The quantity of saliva running from her mouth was amazing, and the bed was sopping wet.

Eventually I had to call a halt, and headed out to catch my flight. There was really no time to say goodbye, but she has been texting, and emailing all of the time since.

I almost missed the flight as the airline had locked the door 45 mins before departure. But the guard eventually let me in, and I got the last seat available. This despite the fact that I had prepaid for the flight weeks before. Pays to check..

Since that time, Miss E has been texting, emailing and trying to chat via YM, all the time. All she wants to do is to get back and have me suck her clit again. She must be starved for real male attention. A great lover for next time I am in the Phils.

Sorry, I forgot to add some pics of Miss D. This was within 10 mins of us first meeting in my room. She loved getting her pics taken, and I gave her a complete set. She is very proud of them.

I do not want to show any pics which would identify her, so these are a bit restricted

I stayed with a mate for a few days in Tagaytay, south of Manila. It is a kind of resort and retreat center, lots of hotels, restaurants, and religious retreat centers. There is plenty of good food, and prices are not high.

I had planned to meet up with Miss P, very hot, with whom I had been chatting for a while, but that came to nothing. So I was faced with few options. So as a final fall back option, I called Miss K, from a week before, who had been keen to get together again. She needed half a day to get leave of absence, and took a bus to Tagaytay. We met at the bus stop nearest to the house, I was a bit apprehensive, but I knew that at least she was keen to root, very honest, and did not need money from me.

As it turned out, we had a very pleasant few days, early evenings, nice fucks, late horny mornings.

And she surprised me by sliding down on day 2 and giving me a top quality bbbj. What an asset.

One evening, the mate called over another friend, and the three of us left the girls behind and headed to a bar in town. Now Tagaytay is very respectable, no girlie bars, no MP, nothing. But the guys knew of a small town about 10 minutes away, where there were a couple of girlie bars, with a bit of p4p action. We got into the first one, and settled down for a few beers, and maybe some action. There was certainly action going on, with a bunch of cubicles on a mezzanine floor over the bar area being the objective of a continuous stream of guys and gals. All pinoys.

Then the front door burst open and a bunch of police came in, fully armed. We just sat back to watch. The guys that were upstairs were hauled out, into the paddy wagon, together with their wg’s. That took the shine off the evening, and promised to stuff the whole evening up, as they would do the same to the other two bars in town.

We waited a while, and drove around for a while, till we rolled up to the second bar on our list.

Here were a couple of girls that the guys had tested before, so they were known performers. Another girl was rustled up for me. She was small, buxom and playful, and things looked like panning out pretty well.

However, after about half an hour, when we were getting pretty well into it, a girl came over and spoke quietly into the ear of my bg. She got up, excused herself, and headed for the door. A few minutes later, she came back into the room, but hurried past into the CR at the back. About 5 minutes later she came out, and back too me. My mate had seen what had happened, and also that the girl was crying when she came in and went to the CR. So he demanded to know what was said to her, and what had happened. The other two girls tried to smooth things over, but he wanted to know. The whole thing degenerated into a slinging match, and when the mamasan eventually came over, I told her that this should be a happy place, but it was not happy, so we should leave. So we did.

The three girls suddenly saw three bf’s disappearing, and the mamasan could see a lot of money going out the door. So then the two other girls started screaming at my girl. She was sobbing and asked me to forgive her for making such a mess. We drove away.

Half an hour later the texts started. The have not stopped.

Life is interesting.

We went to the third bar, but it was virtually empty, the cops had scared everyone away, and it was now getting cold. So we had one beer and left.

So much for the boys night out.

Why? It's an easy one day trip out of Manila. I only did the Taal Volcano trip so I know nothing about other attractions.

It's an easy hike up to the view point, but man they will pester you half the way up about getting on their stupid horses. I suspect the fee you pay at the "office" includes a guide, so even though the I refused a horse, this one guy rode his horse along with me (and my girl) all the way up and all the way down. He came in handy to take pictures, but I had to tell him to back off in the beginning. Something about a big-ass horse walking right behind me didn't make for a very relaxing hike. Avoiding the horse shit wasn't too bad. [Deleted by Admin]

Didn't much appreciate the "police" office at the ridge who, for a fee, would let you shoot guns.

But what a view. I'll have to dig up some of those photos.

Ormoc is just 2.5 hours from Cebu by ferry. I used Weesam, but Supercat is another option.

This isn't a place for wild nightlife, but would be nice to take a girl. Also great place to pick up a reg. girl. And if you just need a good root, you can find that too.

I've already done a review on Dragonslayer's forum. These pictures are of Sabin Resort. The beach isn't much to speak of, but otherwise is a really nice place. Executive room is just huge....even the bath is very large...for only 2600 pesos.

I also stayed at Hotel Don Felipe whish is dowtown right across from the bus/boat "terminal". Sabin Resort is just a few minutes out of town. By tricycle 30 pesos. By moto-van (or whatever they call it - baht bus?) 6 pesos.

After my post, memories came flooding back.

1) you saw the pic of the cake, there was a kids b-day party going on. It must have included 30 people and a few were ...ummm, of interest. Unfortunately, I already had female companionship. Ha, ha, that would have been a challenge. Making a play on a woman half my age right there with her whole family there -- obviously upper-mid class family at that.
2) That big empty restaurant in the picture had many more guests before I left. I will say that you should put a napkin or something over your drinks. The flys love to drown themselves in mango juice.
3) AMAVIDA, not so long ago you said you visited Tacloban and I asked you to give some more info. Just looking at the ISG site, you have 8 or more posts in the last 24 hours -- but still nothing about your Tacloban trip. Anything would be appreciated. Condition of the airport? Hotel you used?
4) Does anyone know the name of the mountain with the twin peaks (devil's horns)? No one I talked to in Ormoc knew the name.

Have posted on the Manila and Makati threads, but not this one before. I'll be with a buddy for a few days next weekend in Donsol/Legaspi. Yes, I know it's Holy Week, but the timing couldn't be helped. Any of you lads have any suggestions for nightlife in that area? I have RTFF, but didn't notice much mention of Legaspi, so thought I'd make the enquiry.

Thanks in advance!

Legaspi had a few nightclubs right near the center of town, but I can't recall the names as it has been many years since I was there. Bring girls from Angeles or manila if you want to see something besides whale sharks. Other than in Angeles, Holy Week is likely to be dead week throughout Bicol. The tour of the ruins of the buried church (Cagsawa I think its called) in the shadow of Mount Mayon is well worth a day.

I was in Tacloban a few weeks ago so here is a little info. I was with a girlfriend so I can't provide anything mongering related. I stayed at Hotel Alejandro, which was pretty nice compared to other hotels I've stayed at in the Eastern Visaya region. Paid about 1500 for deluxe room, though there are other smaller rooms for >1000 pesos. Hotel is a few bocks from downtown so in theory it should be quieter than other hotels, but there were plenty of roosters to make up for the lack of traffic noise. AC works even without keycard in slot, so your room can remain cool while you are away. Staff seemed friendly and helpful enough. Trikes in town are 6 pesos per head, they might try to charge more but there are clearly posted rates in the trikes if they try to give you any BS.

Ate at a few retaurants in town. Ocho seafood was packed and very good. You pick out your food alive and chose they method of preperation. Crabs, shrimp, mussels, scallops, squid and plenty offish to chose from. 4 of us got absolutely stuffed for under 1000 pesos. There are a few other similiar seafood restaurants in the area, but Ocho seemed to do the best business. Guiseppes was not so good Italian food. Nice decor and apparently there were some famous Filipina movie stars eating when I was there. But the food was nothing to write home about.

It was raining pretty much all day every day when I was there so I spent most of my time in the hotel room. I did make it out to the McArthur landing monument during a brief break in the rain. The beach there didn't look swimmable to me....brown sand and murky water. We were about to have a picnic when it started raining again so we headed of a small videoke for shelter and a few drinks. Thankfully there was a brownout so the machine wasn't working. I wasn't in the mood for karaoke that early in the day.

As for the airport, it was small. Only handles a few flights a day. 3 on Cebu Pacific and a couple of PAL. Basicly a small check in counter room which gets really crowded if the flights are close to being full. I had a porter take my bags and passport and he just told me to have a seat while he cut to the front of the line and took care ofeverything for me. Saved me about 30 minutes of standing in line. He asked for 100 pesos, but since his help was unsolicited(he pretty much just took my bags the minute I got out of the trike) I only gave him 40. He grumbled a bit but didn't seem to upset. Trike to the airport was 70 pesos, I didn't bargain so could be less. Leaving the airport to get to town might be more. I arrived via bus so I don't really know.

All in all, nothing to special about Tacloban, although it might be nice for those who have been in the Eastern Visayas for a while as it has more ammenities like fastfood and nightlife than any other city in the region. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but if you are in the area already its not bad.

I like gogo bars - with a little show (so not the standing line like in Bilbao).

I found them already in Tacloban,Cebu, IloIlo,Bacolod (Bilbao and Manila is nothing for me)

Based on what I read in this site I want to look now in Cagayan de Oro and Davao. But I dont know if they give shows there or is it just to pick a girl out and give here LD?

Any one knows other places with bikini bars where girls give a little show?

In CDO try Bada Bing, Ontec or Guyon. They all have full strip shows. In Davao, Hot Legs I, II and III all have nude shower shows. You can walk from one bar to another in CDO as they're all within a block or two of each other.

Some nudity can be found at Roman Forum near Victoria Plaza Mall NORTH Davao).

I have been trying to get to Tagaytay for years now but never made it. What was your impression of the place, food, clubs, etc. I can retire in a few years and the climate there is appealing. Would you like to live there if you could?

I had appartment there last year for 6 months, stayed there for only 2 months.
What you need to know about Tagatay from my experience.

Has a nurses college in the city, has a casino, no girly bars at all. has a great bar but has ratio of 10 guys to 1 girl . Just your normal bar like in your own city where ever you are in the world.

Weather great very mild and pleasant all year round. One of the big difference is that you can go to nearly any shop small or large and give them a 500 peso note even for a 30peso packet of cigarettes and they don't blink a eye lid and always have change. Meaning there is a lot of money there.

There are no taxis there to speak of, only the ones you see are from Dasmirias which is 20 minutes down the highway towards manila. I use to go to SM city in Dasmirinas and do big shopping then grab a taxi back to Tagatay ( 500 peso charge normal) Then i would grab the drivers cell number for future outings. You need a car or motor bike! other wise you have to catch jeepys or a bus.

You have a very nice market called Mahogany markeys opens at 5 am goes till late very clean also across the road about 15 food places local they stay open 24 hrs did pick a a very beautiful waitress there.

Cost of living there is about 30% higher than most other places, also on the weekend you have an influx of people from manila. around 5000 people come there every weekend. As most wealthy filipino's have house there this is there weekend retreat, as its only 2 hrs from manila.

To give you an Idea rents range from 8000 peso for small appartment to around 50,000 pesos for a nice 4 bedroom home with views over looking the Volcano. The water there is very good striaght from the tap. You must remember that Marcos built a place down there so he made sure the water was the best so the inferstructure is very good.

If you want the girly bars just grab a bus to Dasmarinas around 8 pm at night get off at the main street you will see all the bars. some good ones some not so good. but english is very poor with some of the girls in the bars. as foriegners are few there ok.

Just pm if there is any thing else you would like to know!

There are 4 kind of local bikini bars in Tacloban al close to each other.

About 2 km from the city to the west direction (Ormoc road).

If you take an Airport jeepney out of the town you will pass them.

Or a Tryce(80p)

I considder however all places besides Bilbao(field Ave Southern part past the raiway) and Cebu (Maxilon Ava) nice only when I am with my wife.

Why travel so far away - arrive at cities with only few bars, pay intrance fee (100P) , pay more for the beer, and if you want a girl you choice is limited and you pay 2-3x more. Also finding good hotels and restaurant gives more problems (or is much more expensive). But you will sit between local men who will sometimes gives YOU a drink - that will never happen in Cebu!

from my Tacloban notes;

Schooners ist best ;fall all to only foreigner,top/bottomles uniforms.

Pussycats opposite Shooners 18 yo dancers, rougher 20 cute gls in miniskirts BF 2500p.

Leyte Park Hotel, fallen down but freelancers arround the park there.

PS; 300m south of Leyte park is a nice bar/restaurant where you can sit at the coast whatcing boats and the orther island. A local bar (make you loose some weight) AND the onky place in the city to esxcape the dam jeepney smoke.

Good luck Horny George (and others).

And maybe I can sugest that people are giving more points where to find sex and what it costs. Thats what we (at least I) like to know to make a travel planning. All the nice stories of action "with a girl from the mall" or just "lined up in advance" only gives me a hard and jalous dick..and he wants just to find a cheap and nice place to blow a tiny woman away.

Not questioning GE's info which has always been reliable but I just read about the ban on nudity in CDO within the last month or so.

Some nudity can be found at Roman Forum near Victoria Plaza Mall NORTH Davao).

Hey Andre: You said "I found them already in Tacloban"; please tell us the names of the places you found in Tacloaban.

Thanks

Thanks a lot

Are all CDO places you mention within the city centre too?

Is Excite also a girly dancer bar?

I arrive at a monday , is it nice enough to stay 3 nights?

This because I can only leave after 1 or 3 nights looking at the flight shedules

Andre

In CDO try Bada Bing, Ontec or Guyon. They all have full strip shows. In Davao, Hot Legs I, II and III all have nude shower shows. You can walk from one bar to another in CDO as they're all within a block or two of each other.

Andre: Thanks so much, just what I needed. Leyte is a very religious area and not nearly as wild as other areas. I am NOT going to Tacloban because of p4p action.

Ok George,

I thinks if one wants P4P one should just stay in the main foreighner drag (excluding Manilla. Capitals are always expensive while there arrive the forieghners with no clue about the local price level but so horny to go with the first average girl). Al the rest is for me just a break. No p4p but just watch the local show including the show the other (local) guests are making over themselfes and over us.

Do what they do. Take a few beers so you don't remark the low Q and dream about a nice girl (which you saw in the mall that is) when you fall in sleep.

Or stay there for weeks like you do and get that girl of the mall (wile drinking many times beers at just a few bars).

Has noboddy heard of storries if you tell a lot of girls that you want to marry them that you can end up not getting in the plain. Because all the angry mothers who heared of eachother.

I will never tell a girl I want to marry her. Only if I would. Someone may get angry.

Andre

In March, I have been to Boracay for the second time. In comparison to my first trip in 2007, thinks are getting better IMHO. I agree with the report of Germanboy 2 and recommend to read for anybody think about to go to Boracay.

http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=673396&postcount=575

Some additional remarks and a report what I did.

In my opinion, there is no need to pay 3300 Peso. We stayed in “Alice in Wonderland” for 1800 Peso.

Beware, there are lady boys in Boracay.

The number and the quality of girls available in Boracay is going up in comparison to 2007. The prices for the girls seem to going down.

First girls I met in the aircraft to Caticlan. I sat next to a beautiful girl saying that she is going to stay two weeks to find a boy friend. She said she were an officer. True or not, I don’t know. Maybe, she combined holiday with making some extra money. However, I didn’t see her again at the places where freelancers usually go.
I visited Charlhs-Bar, where the freelancers show up 10 o’clock. A little bit boring, live music, you can speak with the girls. Not the best quality, but not to bad for warming up. Be polite to the girls, they accept, if you don’t like to go with them. To speak with them is good to introduce you into the freelancer scene. Beware, there are lady boys.

More fun, I found at the Summer Place. Some 50 girls are hanging around, starting 11 o’clock.

First day, I spoke with some girls, but no one, I found very exciting. Second day, I met a girl. She offered a massage for one hour (500 Peso), sex for additional 1000 Peso. I agreed. We went to the hotel. The massage was ok, the sex was bad.
Third day, a middle-aged woman trying to make business close to Summer Place offered a massage to me. I declined politely, said I’m looking for sex. I don’t know why, for any reason I continued to speak with her, about the life in Boracay and other normal stuff. After some minutes, she asked me: “Do you want a girl for sex?” I said: “Sounds good.” She sent a text and 20 minutes later, one 22 years old slim girl showed up. Their face was not very nice-looking but ok. The girl was quite nervous. I thought this could because of two reasons: She is horny or she has no experience to do sex with foreigners. After one beer, I was quite sure it was the second reason. Maybe, she was what Germanboy 2 named a staff girl.

In the meantime, a group of four girls, I didn’t see before, appeared, all of them with a good look. Thus, I decided to try my luck with them. I said to the girl “Excuse me, but you are not my type.” (or something like that) She accepted without being sad. Maybe, I was also not her type J.

When I came closer to the group, I saw, what I want, a little “black magic woman”. After half an hour, she and I knew how to spend the night. She was nice, didn’t ask for money and later on willing to satisfy me. Next morning, I was a little bit unsure how to handle with her. At 11 o’ clock, I was hungry and invited her for breakfast. She didn’t want. I gave her 1000 Peso. She looked at me between astonished and surprised. I made a date for the night, she agreed and I had a “girl friend” for the rest of my days in Boracay (another three nights).

Next night, a friend of mine took a friend of her for three nights. Same experience!

If you like discotheques, I recommend Cocomangas. The happy hours end 9:30. However, there is no need to be there before 10 o’ clock. Here, there are two types of girls: The girls sitting and staying at the bar are looking for Caucasians. The numbers of these girls vary between some 10 at the beginning up to a maximum of maybe 30 after 12 o’ clock. The age I would say between 22 and 30. The look, see at the picture. And I think without attitude. Some girls from Charlhs-Bar and Summer Place came also by late at night.

The majority of the girls (younger and nicer than the girls at the bar) running in came for Koreans and went in the back of the discotheque. No way to meet them. I think they meet their costumers before.

I’ve been there on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Saturday, there were many local guys. Some of them a little bit drunk, trying to contact the girl came with me (and also other girls dancing with other guys). Such a situation scares me a little bit. However, my girl solved the situation in a good way by moving away from these guys. The other days were ok, no problems.

Take, or not to take: That is the question

I agree with the most of the reporters, you are on the safe side to take a girl with you to Boracay. If you don’t, you are here in a competition situation with other guys. Strange for me, not with the most younger guys coming here for diving and surfing but with middle aged guys.

If you are a nice guy, you are funny and you fear to spend a week or more with just one girl could be boring, then come alone to Boracay.

Prices

Three girls spoke about money. They offered between 1500 and 2500 Peso. I didn’t bargain because I didn’t intend to take one them. I observed that not many girls were successfully in these seven days (Summer Place, Cocomangas). And if, then mostly one times only. Therefore, I think you can lower the price to 1000 Peso for ST and 1500 for LT. If you take a girl for a couple of days, 1000 Pesos should be ok.
And even, if you can not lower the price, think: Taking a girl e.g. from Angeles costs maybe 1000 Peso a day for the bar, I don’t know how much for the air plane (7000 ?), I don’t know how much for food and beverages in Boracay (500 a day?). I know the quality of these girls is much better. But taking all this into account, you can pay 2000 Peso and you still save money.

By the way, what to do with a girl you take with you from Angeles or so and you fed up with her after a couple of days?

Low Season

I was told, that the most girls will leave Boracay in low season (starts in May?) and come back in November. Thus, if you come in low season, is could be a different business.

The moral of the story is do not go to Borocay.

I had great fun there, renting a bicycle and touring around. The group I went with was on a "mission", so we went to the villages and gave out some donations. We also rented a boat for a day...great fun - fantastic snorkeling, they will cook lunch for you. Negotiate and negotiate.....If you have a big group with a Filipino negotiator,m I'ts incredible how cheap the price can be.

I was kind of shocked about how the local people feel about the commercial development in Borocay.....kind of conglomerates take over your land and fk u, don't complain.

There was an internet article about Baguio (although somewhat negative tone). Anyone have more info from the ground?

Prostitution on the rise in the summer capital of the Philippines

Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines and once served as the R & R of the American servicemen and the Federal personnel of the US government, is now a heaven for prostitution. Although, the city is not known for prostitution flesh trade has increased for the past years. This year alone, record shows the prevalence of prostitution all over the city. Local women of all ages and of different social classes are now part of the oldest profession in the world, and that is prostitution. They ply their trade in the parks, malls, school premises and other places where easy clients are available. Burnham Park, the “brain child” of American Architect Daniel Burnham, and one of the city’s oldest tourist attraction, became the center of prostitution. Prostitutes converged in the serene premises of the park where transaction are being made. Most of them are young and reasonably poor that education depends on their being a prostitute. Others are trend setters, yuppies who defy morality and family values, because they’re attuned to the present norm of earthly desires, they resort to prostitution. The city government seems not in a hurry to resolve the issue of prostitution but sit idly by.

You should be more detailed for your source than "internet article." It comes from UNESCO:

unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0007/000772/077215eo.pdf

This is typical social welfare BS. Yes there are stray prosti's around Burnham Park late at night. Yes, girls can occasionally be picked up in the mall and market areas for money. This is nothing new or unique to Baguio (except the name of the park).

Hi Slim,

I’m sorry, there is no English version of this website. Which page(s) do you want me to translate?

This site consists of several subjects. One part deals with the countries Thailand, Philippines as well as Cambodia and their destinations. Containing stuff like: How to arrive at the destination? What is there. Prices, Hotels
These sites are easy to translate.

The other part deals with stuff like: How to behave? General rules. Hints to the country. How to spot Lady boys. Why you should not marry. And so on. These sites are hard to translate, because of using German slang and German background (Laws, school system)

What utter garbage (how I WISH it was true). Baguio is the worst big city for the hobby in the Philippines. Does any experienced Philippine traveler disagree? Maybe Cotabato, capital of the ARMM, but I doubt it as evil many Muslim men still like to hobby.

It also bears noting that the folks from Benguet province are the least attractive of ALL Filipinas (the Igorots of Ifugao Province do not consider themselves "Filipino" and they MIGHT be even less attractive). Baguio is what happens to Filipinas when they congregate in the US, the Worst of both Worlds.

Baguio people are also the least friendly (though I've no been to Basilan or Jolo). Other than as a respite from the heat and a waystation on the drive to Mountain / Ifugao Province, Baguio aint much IMHO. The much vaunted strawberries are a joke (compared to REAL strawberries). The novelty of pine forests wears off quickly, and the traffic can approach Manila levels despite having about 1% of the population of MM. Ok if your into Golf that might be a reason to go there, but for chasing skirt it is a waste, especially considering that Poro point is only 90 minutes drive down the mountain.

Guys,

I'm flying tonight to boracay and latter to Palawan.

7 years ago it was my first time at boracay. It was off seasons full of lady boys but not good selection of ladies.

I did however manage to score an American lady who lived there and own a coffee shop. Her name was Nadin.

This time I like to combine diving, photography and some sex adventures. Flight to Philippines from BKK is 7000bht return, by cebu Pacific air.

Its off season now but I hope I will have some photos to post.

Where are you going?

Does anyone have any hotel reccomendations for Baguio.I checked out four or five yesterday and ended up at the Prime Hotel, P1500 including breakfast. Perfect location at the bottom of Session Rd. Rooms with balconies have a nice street view but are very noisy. The place is rather old and worn, but better than anything else I could find in the area.

Bacolod turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I spent little time there, but on the first night just hopped into a cab and asked the driver to take me to a bar. I was not looking for company, just to have some fun and do a bit if research for you guys. I was not hoping for much, especially when the driver said he would take me to the Bacolod Casino. But when you get there, boy, there is so much for such a back water town.

In front of the Casino and to the left (when facing it) begins a good sized square with lots of bars and cafes. In the center seem to be cafes for eating and hanging out. Along the perimeter is girlie bar after girlie bar. Sort of a Burgos of Visayas (is this still Visayas? I think they speak a different dialect here). There must be about 15 bars. Some are just open bars with a few girls sitting inside waiting, some are karaoke. Many have a show with one girl dancing and lots waiting to entertain customers.

In the bars with dancing, of course several girls will come sit with you to chat, cuddle and eventually ask you to buy a drink. My drinks were generally p90 for two bottles of beer; her’s were P250. But there was not a lot of pressure to buy. It was so quiet that they seemed happy just to have me there. For the most part the dancing girls are uninspiring but the real action is at my table.

In the first bar I entered, probably the first as you walk from the Casino, several girls out front stopped me to chat, and then dragged me in. It was quite bright inside as opposed to some bars that are so dark that you really can’t see the girls. I focused on one, but they all were acceptably attractive and sweet. She was wearing a tube top and skirt. I ordered my beer and she asked me to buy her a drink. I asked about the price, then declined as I was not sure yet that I would stay, or stay with her. After another minute or two of cuddling, she asked if I wanted to play with her pussy. Talk about direct. She slipped up her skirt and pulled open her panty to reveal a very nice, delectably furry, pussy. As I said it was quite bright so I could well inspect, and everyone else could see what we were doing. But how could I resist. She told me that there were no customers today, and she needed to buy rice before going home to her family. I slipped her P100 and checked it out. Yes soft, warm, wet. At the same she was rubbing my thigh and "little brother". She asked if I wanted to go upstairs to the private room. It was p1, 200. I declined. By then I was beginning to show my enthusiasm, though the show was quite boring. She asked if she could see my "little brother", and maybe kiss him. Thinking it was time to move on, I declined. Then she had to dance. Her first dance was also rather uninspiring, but for the second she came out essentially nude. She was quite nice looking, and keep in mind that the lights were bright. She was not shy at all.

After the dance she came back to me. She had put on the skirt but not the top or panty. There is something about a cold beer in one hand and soft pussy in the other (like the bars in Phnom Penh, but that is a different section). It makes it harder to get up and leave. After a few minutes she suggested we go to a private table. What the hell. So we moved from one in the center of this well lit room, to one on the side, still quite well lit. As I was really enjoying her I finally agreed to buy her a drink. Within a minute she had my pants open and was inspecting junior, who was now very happy to be let out. I did not let her suck me as I am too cautious to do BBBJ, but she kept trying. I am quite sure if we went to the private room there would be no limits. Over the next 30 minutes we chatted. She is 28, one child, boyfriend left. Nice breasts and tummy for a mom. During that time she continued to stroke Mr Happy, and had several of the other girls came over to inspect him as well and I enjoyed checking out their bodies too. It was a little weird how uninhibited they all were. Finally I decided to move on and check out the other bars.

The next one was a bit more upscale. The girl who sat with me lookedso yummy but turned out to be 18 and seemingly very inexperienced. I bought her a drink and learned about her, then decided she was too young to be interesting for me and moved on.

The next bar was similar to the first, but dark and also few customers. The girl who joined me was a tiny thing. Instead of waiting I quickly bought her a drink. As soon as it came she sat on my lap and began rubbing. She had a loose top and no bra, loose shorts and no panty. She was shaved. She was fast. In the space of three minutes I was playing with her pussy and she had my little brother out and happy. After minute I realized that she was trying to slip me inside her, right there in the bar. It was dark enough that others could not see exactly what was going on, I think. Well if I was not going to let the first girl suck me bare back, I was not going to fuck this girl in public and without a condom. So I slowed things down. At that point it was her turn to dance. I gave her p100 tip and moved on.

The last bar in the corner of the square was again more upscale and dark, and had many customers. The girls were more beautiful, model types, and their dancing was more sophisticated. They mostly danced in skimpy clothes or underwear, occasionally one of the girls would take off her top. Here there were lots of waiters and they regularly asked if they could bring a girl to my table. I could see that many of the customers were with girls, but just drinking and chatting and not so much cuddling. This could get expensive and not result in any satisfaction without taking the girl out, which I assume you could. I was more interested in continuing my research into furry vrs. Shaved, and so moved on.

Next I walked outside the square onto Araneta Street. There were several more bars there and I walked into one. Same story as the first and third bars, a girl dancing and lots more to keep you company. This girl was very pretty, probably 22 but a bit too professional. She quickly moved on to the bar fine, which she said was P3, 000. I laughed and made a joke of it. I told her that was the tourist price and asked for a discount, but she did not seem interested in playing. It is hard for me to believe that is the real price and I sensed that the two earlier girls would have just walked out with me, or at least come to my hotel after their shifts.

It was late, I had an early start and I was tired, so time to head to bed. But I was left wondering how Bacolod could have such a lively night life. Who was it that supported it? I don’t know, but if you do, be sure to thank him.

Does anyone have any hotel reccomendations for Baguio. I am looking for something around $30 if there are any.
Hello Kid,

You will be hard pressed to find decent accommodations for $30 USD a night. For one thing, this is a fairly prosperous town with prices not to too far off from Manila. Secondly, depending on when you will be visiting, there is a high season stretching passed summertime when city slickers take their holidays.

My usual 'Hotel Supreme' is more like $50 USD a night but has a pool and a new annex that is directly across the street from the main building and is only minutes by taxi from the downtown core.

Here are two suggestions for your price range that you might like: Villa Romana and Burnham Hotel. These places fill up rather fast so you might want to make advanced reservations. If you are arriving by bus, you will be mobbed by touts trying to get you to stay at certain hotels. Ignore them if you don't want to pay a commission. Don't forget your jacket because it rains most nights and the temperature drops.

Have a great trip!

First off, kudos to BrownRail on a great trip report for Bacalod!

I'm planning on some diving (and other hobbies) in a couple of months. I'm looking for GF hotel recommendations for Sabang (Puerto Galera) and Panglao (Bohol).

I was thinking of Big Apple Dive Resort in Sabang, which I believe was mentioned by an earlier poster. Would it be safe to assume everyplace in Sabang is GF?

Haven't researched Panglao much, yet (though it certainly sounds BYOG). Any info on Panglao/Tagbilaran on the hobby would also be appreciated.

All hotels in Sabang are Girl friendly.

Might say it is expected.

I am afraid that is not entirely correct. Most of the bars are gf, however, there are exceptions.

About a year, to be on the safe side, I emailed one hotel frequented by divers. They told me up front they cater to divers, not mongerers.

Best to ask ahead of time if there is any objection to a "companion."

I think all hotels are girl friendly.

Also check out Tropicana. http://www.alltravelspots.com/philippines/puertogalera/tropicanacastle/
There are some pics on that site. It is owned by a crazy German who is bit by bit building a castle on the hill. Big Apple will have your basic "hut" type rooms but Tropicana has gone over the top. The rooms are big and airy, and full of antiques. Big four poster beds and huge marble tubs. Enough for several girls if you like. I don't know, there is something about this hotel I just love, the owner is really making an effort and it shows. And it is not expensive. I think it is about P1600-2000 for a room. One problem I have had though is they always seem to run out of hot water. Their dive shop is also quite good.

Even if you decide on Big Apple, go check out Tropicana, you might decide to move just for the beds.

I have been to some of the large malls in Manila and it is totally like a kid in a candy store. When all the really cute girls all but ignored you in High School, if you are halfway decent looking and flirty and fun, they will treat you like you're Brad Pitt. It is really easy to get cell phone numbers if you are just a gentleman and fun. I had some really hot body photos of some Pinays with hot bodies and some racy closeups, but I found out that even the compact flash cards do not take well to getting wet, so next trip I should have some hot pix to post.

Next I may be going to Bohol. Is there much of a bar scene there at all? Any malls or place where the girls like to hang out in the evening? Info is scant around here for that area.

Thanks guys!

Oh, you had some great pictures, but unfortunately lost them. How unfortunate. As for malls, you should search out FiftyFifty for his descriptions on how women at malls throw themselves at you.

I'm think "throw themselves" was just a exagerration, but I'm sure he's given a full report about his adventures.

Good luck. X

You can reach Tagbilaran in about 90 min from Cebu city if you use Ocean Jet Ferry from Pier 1. Most people would just pass thru on their way to Ahlona beach. **Ahlona beach is actually on Panglao Island which connects to the city by bridge.

I stayed for a few days to see the festival and also to meet up with a Boholian friend who had first caught my interest in Cebu City a few months earlier.

Anyway, the people are friendly in this city, and there aren't many foreigners. I had no problem talking to women, but they seemed more conservative than those I met in Davao. This is probably because Davao, like Cebu, attracts people from out of town and this reduces inhibitions.

Anyway, referring to Sopwith's earlier post, there are two malls. Bohol Quality, known as BQ is in the center of the city. BQ Pizza hut would be a good place to sit and watch the people. There is a European restaurant on one of the upper floors and this might be a good place to get info from expats. The food was only okay.

Not far out of the city is Island City Mall --- ICM (first pic). ICM has a good money changer and I liked the restaurant called The Buzz cafe (see pictures).

ICM mall is next to the market and the bus station. At the market you can enjoy pig wrestling competitions (see picture).

Any mongering opportunities there? Local regular freebie girls? A local girl online said there are nightclubs there, but I didn't ask for names.

I will check out the mall.

I would have figured the place would be crawling with tourists.

Thanks for the info by the way.

The ferry has an interesting daily run, as explained to me by a crewman: The boat/crew moor overnite at Bohol. At Dawn they head to Cebu. , boarding is 'round 6=7am Cebu.

Then backtrack Bohol. , next stop Dumaguete.

From Dgte the ferry goes South to Dapitan.-the terminal has some other name, forget. But it's 'bout 4 clicks from Dapitan and 25 km to Dipolog.

From there, the ferry retraces back to Dgte and Bohol for the nite.

I like Dapitan for the Quiet. , very laid back, almost sleepy.

The main street is called 'Sunset Boul. ' Lots of pensonne/resorts facing the water.

Got a nice long sandy beach along the boul.

Vendors put tables out on the beach.-kickback, watch the Sunset, swim in the moonlite with your honey. , as in, bring your girl with ya.

There is an 'entertainment park' with some places to eat and drink, even got a stake house. There's a disco there too, but more guys than girls and half the guys were gays. , so, blah.

Very few white guys there, none really, so no organized p4p action. But like everywhere, there's pretty girls around.

Dapitan is a nice clean quiet place for a getaway.

Been to Dipolog, but was hanging with Pinoy friends, so can't comment on action there.

Thanks Ratszo. I'd love to hear more about Dipolog / Dapitan. For those of you who are unaware, they are in the Northwest section of Mindanao in Zamboanga Province. When I was using Cherry Blossom, I communicated with a few ladies from that area -- including Oroqueta and Ozamis. I imagine there are few Westerners there so you could probably do very well just hitting on regular woman.

Dipolog/Dapitan is a nice enough area with decent beaches and few people, and Dakak Beach Resort is there if you want to splurge (or see other foreigners). Loads of girls from the nearby cities of Ozamis, Oroquieta etc on the dating sites.

GETTING there is the issue. You can fly from Manila direct, but going by land involves transiting dangerous areas. Less than two weeks ago there was a series of attacks by MILF terrorists involving public buses on the highway that links Cagayan and Dipolog (in Lanao del Norte province) that left dozens of bus passengers dead. They were not targeting foreigners (there are almost none out there) but if you were on the wrong bus . . . . I think the roads from Pagadian or Zambo city are not much safer. Things are heating up militarily in Central Mindanao right now as the army is on an offensive to get the leaders of the factions that committed these massacres.

I'm in Dipolog as I write this. Dipolog, by the way, is in Zamboanga del Norte Province, not Lanao del Norte. The quickest way here if you're driving is to head north from Zamboanga City, and the drive is about 5 hours. I flew in this morning from Manila and the flight was 1.5 hours. Both PAL and Cebu Pacific fly in here, though on different days.

I only arrived this afternoon so haven't had time to sample any local talent, though I'm told by guys from my company who come here often that it's not a problem finding it. All in all, the city seems peaceful, and it's actually somewhat removed from the recent conflict areas which are further south and west. The road between here and Zambo is safe, but it's a good idea to be off the road before sunset.

I'm staying at the Camilla Hotel for about Php1,900 per night with breakfast. No one will ever confuse this with a five star establishment, but it's okay. Very clean with a decent-size TV and a large bathroom. there's a small eating area downstairs that has a live band from 9 o'clock onward and the staff so far has been quite accommodating. There's free Wifi on the ground floor which includes the small restaurant area.

Ge: my parenthetical was ambiguous as I MEANT the attacks were on the highway in Lanao del Norte east of Dipolog, not that Dipolog was in Lanao del Norte province. Dakak Beach Resort was not that expensive if I recall correctly, perhaps 4000. It is outside town and not as convenient for mongering as is the place you are staying I am sure. I hope you enjoy your stay.

I searched for the website in 2006, but could not find one. My gf at the time just walked in and reserved the place. I stayed one night in the Prez suite for about 30 usd and after returning from Dakak paid around 15 usd. We walked or took a trike everywhere.

There is a cafe 2 doors down that I would sneak of 2 when she was sleeping. (the town is full of cafes!)

All hotels in Sabang are girl friendly. Big Apple is the most well known and you will have no problems taking girls there. Try and get a room at the back where the pool is so you can have fun in the pool with your girl as well. Big Apple diving is rubbish. Try Marit diving a little along the beach toward the ferry from Big Apple. This is a small but friendly dive shop run by a Swiss guy with a very good Filipino divemaster. Diving is good in Sabang to keep you busy for about 5 days. For a quieter hotel, nice hotel, try Sabang Hill. Also girl friendly with a nice pool. It is located at the far end left end of Sabang Beach at you look at it from the sea to the land (www.sabanghill.com). Attached is a photo from my verandah in Sabang Hill Hotel over the ocean. Also I have attached a photo of the pool area in Big Apple, again from my verandah.

There are no bars with BF girls on Alona Beach, Panglao. It is definitely a BYOG place. Girls from Cebu would love to spend a few days with you there. There are a few bars and the girls are friendly but not for barfining. The diving is great, especially at Balicasag island about 45 minutes away which is usually a 2 dive trip. 4 days diving there will allow you to see most of the best diving sites. For a night out, Friday and Saturday at the Bohol Tropics Disco in Tagbilarin City is the only option. They have modelling contents, dance contents and live bands with an entrance fee of 90 peso for guys and 50 peso for girls which includes a drink. The Bohol Tropics is also hotel. From Alona Beach to Tagbilarin city is about 30 minute drive so a taxi is the only option and they may charge to 400-500 peso each way. Alona Beach is lovely for romantic dinners and many of the restaurants are on the beach with soft lighting. Expect to pay about 1000 peso for a 2 course fresh fish dinner for 2 with drinks. I have attached a photo of Alona Beach.

I need advise on where to go for scuba and girls--- as an alternative to Sabang.

A wise traveler on another board wrote "Go South young man, south to the Visayas. Southern Leyte, Bohol, Camigin, Negros, Siquijor even. There loads of islands with loads of ladies and pristine reefs awaiting the adventurer." I enjoyed Sabang and would be happy to return but would go to an alternative if there is something as good.

I might like to try something different if I can find a place with great diving and at least the same number of girls as Sabang. I have tried to check these places out, plus Dumaguete, but I have not found postings that suggest that any of these places have several gogo bars plus exceptional scuba. Can people here offer specific suggestions over the next day or two? Or is Sabang really superior to any of these other places?

Another idea I had was to take a friend and travel thru Bicol and Samar to scuba diving spots in the south, I think some of the same spots the wise traveler mentions. The problem is that I don't want to be stuck with just one girl. she is a half-girlfriend and will agree to me seeing other girls, but us not sure herself how easy or hard it will be to arrange something like that.

I like to explore, but it will be high season and that makes me a bit concerned. My hotel in Sabang is already fully booked until January 14th!!!

"Wise traveler" sounds wise. Cebu city has bars, and is less than two hours from Bohol or Leyte - maybe three / four hours to Dumaguete / Malapasqua Island. Travel to dive sights may be longer than those quoted -- but how long is the Manila to Puerto Galera/Sabang trip?

If you have to have both fish and female fuzz, and have a short schedule, maybe Sabang is your best bet. Subic has both, but I doubt that the diving is as good as Puerto Galera.

After travelling far and wide in the Philippines looking for girls and diving, Sabang is by far the best, however, there are a few other options:

1. Subic has about 10-15 bars a short tricycle ride from the hotels. Try Blue Rock Resort (www.bluerocksubic.com). The diving is most wrecks dives with some easy reef dives. There is very few fish and the visibility is often poor. If you are an advanced wreck diver then there are some good wrecks. Dives sites are about 30 minutes from shore.

2. Moalboal in the south of Cebu has about 10 average-to-good mostly wall dive sites all within 30 minutes of the beach including Pecador Island where Whale Sharks are spotted twice per year. I saw a Manta there in June. Try Savedra dive (www.savedra.com) for a good dive operator. There is a disco of Saturday nights where you can easily meet girls. There are also about 5 bars with 2-4 girls serving who are not bar girls but maybe persuaded with charm. Sometimes but rarely, you will see some local girls walking around that you can try and chat up to be friends and then maybe more. All bars are walking distance from the hotels. Try the hotel Eve's Kiosk (www.eveskiosk.com).

3. Boracay has about 5 poor-to-average dive sites all within 30 minutes of the shore. There are a few bars with girls looking for men but not bar girls. There is a great beach bar serving cocktails and an ok disco at Cocomangas at the far end of the beach where you should be able to meet girls, but again not bar girls.

Other alternatives mean BYOG, I. E.

A. Alona Beach, Panglao where you can take girls from Cebu (2 hours away by fast ferry) or go to the Fri/Sat Disco in Tagbilaran City. See report below.

2. Malapacua where you can take girls from Cebu City 3 hours away. There is also a Friday night disco on the island but the island was damaged during a Typhoon in June so not sure if it has recovered yet.

The best alternative I have found to Sabang is Patong in Thailand where there is great diving and thousands of bar girls.

I am also looking for the 2nd Sabang beach in Philippines, so if you find it, then please post it here.

Thank you Snow Koala. Great name too!

There is a Sabang in Palawan.

Too bad there are not 10 or 20 different Sabangs with great diving and plenty of women!

Thank you Xman and Goodenough as well.

Coron apparently has some bars and wreck diving.

Patong is apparently far from the dive sites--you have to travel at leat 60 minutes each way to get to the dive sites! From
http://www.***********.com/diving.htm:

"There are many diving sites around Phuket and it takes between 60 to 90 minutes to get to most of these sites. Phi Phi island is a 2 hour boat ride, tought. However, many people take a ferry to Phi Phi and stay overnight. You can then dive from boats out of Phi Phi's harbor for one or more days.

Generally, one day boat dive tours from Phuket pick you up between 7:00 and 7:30 am and return late afternoon with at least two or three dives. The boats departure from Chalong Bay harbor, located on the east side of Phuket island, around 30 minutes from Patong beach."

Will keep looking

Hey Snow Koala,

Thanks for the info on scuba + girls. Succinct but very informative.

I will volunteer the info that I have: Coron Bay in Palawan has very good wreck diving, awesome Japanese WWII shipwrecks. You fly into Busuanga. Probably the best bet is to stay in Coron Town. There is some nightlife there, consisting of a few small bars. I am sure there would be a few local lovelies that would be willing to hook up for a small donation. I cannot say for certain, as I was BYOG there, but the diving is very good.

I would love to hear from anyone else that has more about good info/ recommendations for scuba + nightlife in the Philippines

To answer SlimHoleDrill, there is a small village in Palawan called Sabang, but it is quite different than the dive mecca in Puerto Gallera.

The Sabang in Palawan is on the west coast of central Palawan, about a 3 to 4 hour bone-crushing car ride from Puerto Princessa over a terrible road. Pretty much the only reason to go there is to access the Underground River. Not worth it IMHO. I don't believe there is any diving to speak of, or nightlife for that matter.

I m not actually sure what Cuba Tourist really meant however. Maybe he meant that there is a place with diving as good as Sabang, which would be I suppose Coron Bay.

Snow Koala: Sabang (in PG) does have the advantage of dive spots within view of girlie bars, but Cebu and Davao have way more mongering options and excellent diving within an hour and a half or so. 15 minutes across the Olango channel by banca from the underwater wasteland that is Mactan is Hinutugan Island which has excellent diving.

In Davao the diving is on Samal Island in the gulf. Dumaguette also has lots of dive spots and a bit of action.

Agree with Igoforasain that the Sabang which is the gateway to the Underground River is such a hassle to reach that it is only worth it for those with lot of time (and as strong back for the road).

Hello Guys,

I head off for my next trip in a wek and a half.

I will spend time in both Bacolod and Cagayan de Oro.

Does anyone have current info on either place, and in particular where I can find freelancers and bargirls, best malls, married women looking for quick fucks during the day etc..

I have RTFF, but I am sure thare is more to offer than these posts.

Thanks in advance,

Gangles

Hi Gangles:

I just put in a post today--not even sure if it's up yet--on the Dragon Slayer's forum, about CDO. There's a lot of club action in the town, and I think that the prior post will answer most of your questions.

My favorite hotel is the Mallberry, which is directly behind Limketkai Mall and within easy walking distance of several restaurants. It's entirely girl friendly and is arguably the most popular hotel in town, so it's best to book in advance. The number there is: +63-888-557-999. You'll be well treated. I will be there, at that hotel, the week after next, so if you're in town at the same time be sure to let me know and we'll do a tour.

CDO is a really fun town, and just a nice place to walk around during the day. It's totally safe.

I have just spent two weeks in Cagayan, on two separate occasions in the past few months, and a week there last year. It is a great city, and I found very safe.

Getting there and finding your way around
There are direct air links to CDO from Manila, Cebu, and some other places. But there is no direct link with Davao on the other side of Mindanao, some 7 hours or so away by bus. There is also a regular overnight ferry from Cebu to Cagayan. If you have the time you can island-hop from Cebu to Bohol to Camiguin Island to Balinguan, and then a two hour bus ride to CDO. I have done that in reverse with pussy stops along the way. I have also travelled the torturous 8 hour bus trip from Dapitan/Dipolog to Cagayan via Oroquieta, Ozamis and Iligan. The lengthy coastal route from Surigao City to CDO takes about 7 hours, with lots of receptive pussy along the way.

There is a very good “Ez Map” of Mindanao which includes a detailed street map of CDO, and a useful map of Camiguin Island, but you may need a magnifying glass to read the fine print.

There is a great spirit about this town; its friendly and safe. I have had some success with leaving the mobile phone number, but most of my lovely ladies (10 plus) have been through internet chat residing in CDO or I have bussed in from Valencia, Iligan, Butuan, or surroundings.

Shopping areas and Malls
From what I have discovered there are 6 shopping areas. There is Limketkai with a very large shopping mall and many surrounding nice restaurants. It is also in the Limketkai Arena the hub for visiting shows. Nearby Ororama Mall is a somewhat downmarket mall with plenty of nice sales girls, and a business card with phone number doesn’t go amiss here. Gaisano City and Mall is on the main highway (C.M Recto Highway). There is a downtown Cogon Market where most of the jeepenies leave from. It’s a hustle-bustle area, and of all the areas it would be the one I am least attracted to, especially at night. Another part of downtown is known as Distoria (T. Neri and R.N Abejuela Streets) where there is an information centre, a great weekend market, and surrounded by many small hotels, pensions and the night clubs.

On the other side of the Cagayan River you have Carmen, again with a Gaisano Mall and local market. And up the hill, towards the airport, is the modern, large, and somewhat empty (the times I have been there) SM Mall.

Accommodation
Lots of options are available in this city. I have stayed at Malberry Suites, recommended by GoodEnough, and this is a very good upper bracket hotel. It is often fully booked. It’s right next door to Robinsons Store at Limketkai. Also adjacent is Discovery Hotel, from memory about 1000+ pesos a night, and comfortable. Downtown I have stayed at the Wiltshire and the upmarket Maxandria, Park View, and also the New VIP Hotel (1,300 pesos/night) on Don Velez Street and near the centre of the nightclub action, and the Distoria shopping area. For a cheaper option you could try the Executive Pension (500 pesos/night) on Mabini Street near Velez Street.

Nightclubs and discos
This last trip I did a few nightclub crawls with a mate, or with my partner for the night. Never bar fined any of the ladies (2000-3000 pesos) as I was well committed. But I did get the opportunity to see a number of the places. Spooks, on Gomez and near Velez Streets (and near the VIP Hotel), offers a very good show. I particularly liked their fire or candle dance routine where three chicks poured molten wax over each other and themselves. It’s a comfortable venue with plush seating and a relaxed service. The only thing I disliked about it is the girls seem to wander off stage before their dance music finishes, so no opportunity to clap a good performance.

Owner, Englishman Mike, offers to expats in the town and visitors a free and nice buffet meal every Friday night starting about 4.30pm. I attended a few weeks back and it’s a good opportunity to catch up with some of the resident expats.

Good as Spooks was, the best show in town I found to be at New Oro “Love City”. This is in Cruz Taal Street, off Velez Street, and right behind Jollibee on Distoria. The entrance way is uninviting, up and around some steps. But you then enter a big spacious lounge with very comfortable seats. I counted about twenty girls and some were stunners. The stage shows were the most professional of all I have seen. The girls each did two dance routines with a clothes change between. Too often at these places the music is disjointed and crude. Here it was continuous and pleasant. Annabelle Neri is the manager and I had a chat to her congratulating her on the dancing choreography. She spends considerable time training her girls. 3000pesos for a take out, some at 2000pesos. For a 100 peso tip you can get a nice (bikinied) pussy grind! It was my pick of the many venues I called in at.

Taxi drivers on two occasions recommended the Pyramid nightclub and KTV. This is over the Cagayan River a few blocks on the main road to Iligan. I was disappointed. A few girls hanging around at the back playing on computers. There were polished stage acts, most of them in the “Les Girls” transvestite miming class. But it is a plush, comfortable venue which might be good with a partner.

I visited a number of second and third rate nightclubs as well, including Bata Bing, Mic & Mugs, and Gion. But generally these were small rooms, hard chairs and performances with little finesse.

Most of these nightclubs have full nudity but it is not "in your face" as it were. All places, and some were mediocre, exceeded what I have seen on offer in Davao. I have been to Hotlips 1 and Hotlips 3. The latter I went to a few weeks ago and it was just crude and unrefined. One of the sequences on stage was a bathing scene, with one girl soaping the other, and herself. In the "show" I saw the girls complained about the cold water, then they needed more soap. They seemed to be in conversation and giggling with the girls at the back. And they had little raport with the miserable (understandable) audience. I get pissed off with girls who dance continually looking at themselves in front of the mirrors. Davao nightclubs are the pits!

I want to mention Lexus Bar and Disco. This is on Tiano Bros. Street and it is great!! I would have been there 5 times now, usually with my lady and sometimes without. It starts to warm up after 10pm. There are two live bands per night, with 7-8 members in each and good vocalists. And it is clearly a great pick up ground, and although I was discoing (yes!) with my lady there are lots of good eye contact and touches from, and with, others!

Enjoy the trip Gangles!!

Stayed at Dynasty Court Hotel in CDO back in 2005. Is on Tiano crnr. Hayes St. And was 1800p for large room. Also stayed at VIP (was in terrible shape at the time) and CDO City Hotel, which has best location, but from which I acquired nasty bedbugs! Phone for Dynasty is 88-857-1250 or 857-4802. Phone for City Hotel is 88-857-1900. One more hotel is Pryce Plaza, very nice, but was 4025p for deluxe room back in 2004, also very far from the city, closer to the airport. PP phone 088-858-3131.

Bacolod. L'Fisher Hotel is best, very comfy, at 2415p for super deluxe single back in 2005. Phone 034-433-3731. Is at 14th-Lacson sts. , Bacolod, Negros Occidental. Sugarland Hotel is another in Bacolod, closer to airport and other activities (bars) across the street.

Glad I saved some old paperwork.

Hi,

I will be taking a Phil girl from Cebu to Bohol for an afternoon, evening, and part of the next day.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Which fast boat service is recommended? I'd want to leave in the morning and come back later the next afternoon.

2. I'm open, but thinking of staying near the beach on Tagbilaran. Any recommendations for a decent girl friendly hotel? I'm not sure what the price range is there. But something mid-range. Decent, but not spectacular. I'm thinking 50-60 USD a night maybe?

Thanks for your help.

In planning my first trip to the Philippines, I decided to start with the safe/easy Makati location first, then branch out from there. After 7 nights in City Garden Makati, I was quite ready to see what Boracay was all about. Not knowing if I'd find a friend to take with me or not, I delayed booking a flight until three days before leaving. That was a mistake because the hotel concierge quoted me 12,000 pesos for a roundtrip on Seair. Not willing to pay that premium without first doing my own research, I went online to the Seair web site. No seats available. However, I had earlier booked Boracay Beach Club for three nights, and I wasn't going to let a 4500 php premium thwart the trip. So I went ahead with the plane booking. In retrospect, it would have been much cheaper to book a package with some travel agency... in advance.

I'm in Boracay now... in the Boracay Beach Club next door to Coccomungas. I must say this is a great location. The noise at night is not any issue whatever. The convenience of finding a date in the club and walking 50 yards to my room is fantastic. I'm here for 3 nights and must say I'd do four if I could do it over. Much has been written about taking a date from Manila versus traveling solo. For me, solo is great. Absolutely no problem for this 60+ yo guy to find what he likes in the disco and do the overnight thing. My trip to the island was a hoot. An adventure starting with Seair...which provided a nice 35 minute flight from Manila to Caticlan. The rumors regarding rough air must be legendary, because when the airline stewardess did her air safety spiel with the life jacket, you could have heard a pin drop in the cabin. All eyes focused on her demo of the lifevest.

We transfered to the pier where I boarded a six foot wide boat with outriggers on both sides. This boat held two people on one side of the aisle and one person on the other. The boat was a crowded but the water was decently smooth. I had changed to rubber sandels and shorts in anticipation of jumping into the surf on arrival, but not necessary. Easy quick journey to Boracay, where we docked at a concrete pier. The trike took me to BBC and that was a first. Motorcycle with side car and seats in back. Another adventure...although I've been in Thailand and Cambodia. By the way, standard fare in the tryke is 10 pesos except from the harbor.

I must say the Boracay Beach Club is great. $80/night with swimming pool and walk in shower large enough for three people. Security takes your date's ID at night, which I appreciate. The place has 30 rooms, is about 2 years old, well designed with free wi-fi in the lobby but not reaching to the rooms. An electronic safe is in the wardrobe cabinet, but not attached to anything. The bathroom tile has a modern European look and the mattress is on a wooden platform. Staff is friendly and will provide extra towels or clean the room floors upon request. Sand tends to get tracked into the room easily. I was provided coupons for a complementary breakfast and daily beer. The owner holds a US passport and is married to a fillipina. He showed me around when I arrived and explained how he happened to build the property. He claims that in high season the high rollers from Manila sort of take over the place. Right in front of the BBC is a restaurant/bar called Ariels where you get your included breakfast. Singles and some families with small children are in residence but the club is absolutely guest friendly. Location, location, location is what it's all about and this place is at station one. Nice legit massage next door for 350 psp/hr and laundry 60 yds down the street. I had a good massage each day. The beach is directly across the narrow paved road and easily accessed in one minute. Coccumungas disco is on the other side of the massage place.

Ambiance or vibe of the island is really nice...particularily after Manila. I think it would be difficult to pick up a lady from the beach or a store during the day or evening. However, Coccomungus can consistently satisfy all needs. Based on recommendations in the forum, I would walk to the disco next door at 10pm. The women seeking the caucasion and european crowd hang in the front of the bar. The back 2/3 of the bar is filled with the Koreans who dominate the tourist population. There is good music, a younger crowd, but no problem for a 60+ yo like me. There is security at the entrance of the disco and the local men get checked pretty carefully. A sign outside the entrance requests that weapons be deposited with security. I never saw any problems. There is no cover here and SML is 67 pdp. My girlfriend the first night got a discount for us of 50 pdp/bottle. A 28 yo sweet young thingthat I met appologized for her advanced age with sincerity and told me how much she prefers an older man (and his money) Life is good here. My first overnight was 2000 pdp and the second was 4000 with a masseuse from the Regency hotel. I'm not going to ***** about it. The third night was a 3 way that would be a report in itself. When I first arrived a trike driver told me that short time was 2500 and long time 3500. So it can vary with circumstances and your bargening ability.

Photography on the beach has been nice. The 10' wide locally owned convenience stores alternate with the 80' wide bars and even larger beach front hotels. I like the vibe here very much. A lot of the beachfront businesses are separated from the ocean by tall bamboo and opaque plastic sheets whose purpose is to reduce the distructive effects of wind on the shops. This means you can prowl directly on the beach during low tide or stick to the parallel store front pathways. I've never seen this type protective barrier before, but it makes sense in this typhoon prone region. It's difficult to pick up something during the day...but no problem at night in the bars. And then you may have the option to keep her for your day time activities. My only regret is not going sailing with a gf during the day. Sailing in the small cats and island hopping seemed to be the primary diversions for the non diver. Diving schools are plentiful. I'm attaching a few pics of the beach scene but will save the nudes for another report.

Hi Redfield

I always use Weesam Express. They have an economy and first class section, i always pay the extar 150P for first class as it is never that crowded and much bigger seats etc. COst is/was 650PHP each way in AUgust.

They leave Cebu at 9:10AM 1:45PM and 6.20PM and leave Tagbilaran at 7:00 am 11:20AM and 4:20PM.

Accommodation i cant answer as i go native when i am there.

I've used both Weesam and Ocean Jet. Preferred OC because of the open air roof seating. http://www.oceanjet.net/

Alona Kew, Isis, Bohol Diver's are all good places to stay on Ahlona Beach which is about a 5-600 peso taxi ride from the Tagbilaran port.

Let me know if you need phone numbers and I'll dig around to see if I can find them.

I'm taking a girl from Cebu City to Bohol and want to spend one night on Pangaloa Island and probably Alona Beach. I've never even been to the Phils so this is new.

I tried to book with Isis, but they are full (thanks for the suggestion, Xman). Does anyone have any other ideas for a place for Nov. 3 (one night) that is decent. Maybe $50 or $60 USD on Alona Beach.

I realize maybe it's a little late to book now, but it wasn't decided we'd go to Bohol until recently. Or, if I can't find anything. Is it possible to just go there and find something?

Thanks guys

Agree with Tropics. Nice rooms, pools, no beach but it has a wharf that you can watch the sun go down.
The have a free computer with internet access in the lobby and free wifi in the lobby for your laptop.

The place is very close to the dock and they offer free transport.

As far as which fast ferry to take, I would just go to the dock and grab the next ferry that is leaving. The one time I went to bohol, the fast ferry I had planned on taking decided to close for the day, for no reason. (that's the P.I. for you). I just went next door and too the other ferry.

The wharf at Tropic was under construction in July. The problem with this place is the pools close at 6pm. I don't know how strict they are about it. They also have a disco on the premises.

I couldn't find my Alona Beach phone numbers.

Thanks Xman. Hey,

I was able to get a room at the Isis. Standard bungalow. Looks fun.

So, I'm thinking I'm taking my girl from Cebu on Ocean Jet. I think it arrives at 11:10 if I take the 9:30 from Cebu. Then I might as well take a taxi directly to the Isis on Pangalo. And if it's too early to check in I guess we can do a tour from the hotel desk? And then come back later. And maybe go into Tag. At night?

Since we're just staying the one night and can leave anytime the next day, do you have any suggestions for an itinerary. I mean except the obvioius time in bed at night. Hahha.

Thanks

Taxi to the beach should be around 500. Going back they demand 600.

One day trip - just hang out on the beach. $Its a small beach, but you can find many points of interest just by walking around. Don't bother with choc hills on a one daytrip.

Oh, forgot to tell you that Isis does not hve street access. If you arent a manly man, you should call the hotel (upon arrival) and ask for a beach porter.Or just hire porters ... i prefer to work up a sweat, doing that by my self.

Another option is to go for a day trip to Baligcasad Island, about 30-45 mins away, on one of the dive boats. I am a diver but friends of mine are not divers, so they came with us, spent 3 hours on the boat, snorkling on the reef (lots of fish to see) and walking on the beach. Costs about 500 peso per person which includes snorkling gear, coffee and water. Take your own lunch. We went with Philippine Island divers and the south end of the beach, but just ask any dive shop if they are going to Baligcasad as they dont go every day. They usually leave around 9.30 and get back around 2.30. Try and organise it the night before if you get there in time, they close around 7pm. I have been on these boats many times and there have been other Filipinas waiting for their men to come out of the water.

It is BalicasaG Island (ends in G not D) and it is one of the best dive sites in all of the Philippines.

If you stay at Bohol Beach Club they offer their own boats for the quick trip across the channel. More expensive, but much quieter, than staying in Panglao.

Gents,

I am going on a 10-day trip to Phil. This will be my 4th trip to PI.

I will be spending a couple of days in San Juan, La Union, surfing. While I have girls lined up from Cebu, Dumaguete, Manila (5 in all), none can go with me to San Juan.

I was wondering if there are good pick-up spots for girls in San Juan. My preference would be normal girls first, then semi-pro, and finally, working girls.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

Just south of San Juan is San Fernando and an old USA Base called Poro Point some clubs and pros there, a few Kms south along the beach are a series of two star resorts with the usual mix of xpats including some retirees. Alway a few pick up chics around. Many visitors to this area get their girls in Angeles on the way up.

Had many good times in this area in the late 80's and early 90's.

I cannot comment on the surfing

San Fernando is a sizeable town, might be a few internet girls to you can set up with.

Have a great time.

It's already been about 8 years since my last visit to Boracay. Next december I'll be heading to the island-paradise again with 2 friends who will be there for their first time.

I remember those nights at Bazura discotheque (but that was way back in 1993) with loads of Filipinas looking for company. I told stories to my friends about my wild nights and they were very keen about going now. We have booked for the weekend of december 19-22 and hope to have a good time. But I heard that the local authoroties accomplished a complete ban recently on loud music and dance at night. I hope that this is a joke! Can anyone confirm this please?

Also, any advice which place to go for a great night out with lots of local chicas around? Is Cocomangas that good as they say? Any other nightclub ?
We like to dance, party, flirt and mongering.

After Boracay, we'll be heading to Subic Bay for another 3 nights and then on to Tacloban (for some reason). But since Boracay will be our first stop after our intercontinental flight, 'bring our own' is no option.

Thanks for all input bros.

Hi asianatic.

I was on Boracay in March and July this year. I like it, because it is anyway quiet but fine for party too. Specially in July it was very quiet.

Cocomangos is still the place where you can have party and find a girl. I would say there were 30 to 40 girls around. It gets busy around 10. Across is another newer bar. Some girls move from one to another. At 1 am many girls move to Summer Place bar on the beach which is close to bootstation 2. Here you can find some more ladys. Some other bars are Hey Jude, Carlh's Bar, Bamboo Bar and the Wave Disco but wasnt in the Disco. Some of the places have live music. There I found 2 karaoke places where you can pick a girl. Virgin Place and Zwammpys. Just ask a Motodriver. There are also some FL around the beach. But also Ladyboys, be careful.

My opinion to Subic. If you stay in Angeles it is fine for some days. But when you come from Boracay you will be disappointed. I would recommend to stay this nights in Angeles for the real party. But that is just what I would do.

Have a good time,

Sam

The disco called Venue has been reviewed here in the past. Apparently it's for sale:

It is not a disco. What we have is the Pyramid KTV and Bar on the main Iligan-Cagayan-Butuan Road, just across the Cagayan River bridge.

I gave a brief review of this and other Cagayan nightclubs in this forum on the 28th September

Thanks for the correction. I do remember a disco downtown and I thought the name was Venue. Am I getting mixed up with Davao?

Looking at the ad again, they may be using the word "venue" in its generic sense.

Anyone have some advice on the relative merits of Camiguin vs Palawan -- in terms of natural beauty and the vibe for traveling? Any nightlife scene or women looking for friends in either place?

Thanks,

I can't compare Camiguin to Palawan, since I've only been to Camiguin. But I found Camiguin to be very enjoyable. I met a number of ex-pats there who swear by the place.

Camiguin is certainly a very laid-back island, with not much of a night life and zero p4p.

On the other hand, it has tremendous natural beauty, and has a number of great sights that are easy to reach from Mambajao.

I've never been to Palawan, but from the pictures I'd have to guess that Palawan is the winner in terms of natural beauty. The advantage of Camiguin is that it's easy to reach from Cebu and not "touristy."

I've written a travel guide based on my first-hand experiences in Camiguin this summer. This was after I found that the three travel guides I had were way off base. The book can be found at CamiguinTravel.com

There are several options for p4p in that area.

At the resorts south of San Fernando are a couple of bars with the normal bargirls. They are pretty basic, but there are girls there and readily available.
See Spotlight bar (or is it Moonlight) which is the biggest, with the most girls.

On the road out to Poro point (turn West at the big statue in the road) is a gaggle of bars, some with take out, some with not. But there are plenty available. And there are also a number of bars with girls who dance nude. Some of the nude dancers were stunners. Unfortunately, I could not see names on any of these nude places. Maybe intentionally. You cannot miss these, there are maybe 15 or so, both sides of the road. Some are pretty basic, and some are upmarket. Again unfortunately I had a few too many beers, and I could not remember names.

Ray,

How is it easy to get to Camiguin from Cebu now that SEAir has stopped the flight? I think your travel guide may be outdated already as it is a major pain to get to Camiguin now. Used to be a 30 minute flight from Mactan/Cebu, now it is a full day. First you have to gte to Cagayan, then 90 minutes by taxi to baligoan. And the boat from Balingoan is the slowest I've ridden. And you still have 45 minutes drive from the ferry terminal to where the resorts are located (versus 5 minutes from the airport).

Speaking of a pain to get to, ANYWHERE South of Laoag and north of Angeles is a pain. No flight to Baguio anymore. Both Baguio and San Fernando/Poro Point (discussed by Gangles) require a 7 hour bus ride from Manila (5 from Angeles).

Stay in the Mallberry. It's newish, clean, girl friendly and, for my money, bar far the best place in town. There's no where decent in easy walking distance of the clubs, but taxis are plentiful and the rides are short. Three of the clubs--Bada Bing, Fantastik and the one across the street from Bada Bing, the name of which escapes me, are within 20 meters of each other. Spooks, which is, in my opinion better than any of the others, is a short cab ride away and it's just up the street from Mik and Mugs, another club.

CDO is a fun place and you should have an excellent time.

Horny George,

To get to Camiguin I suggest the ferry route from Cebu City. It's long, but overnight, so you sleep through the trip.

There is a very good "Ez Map" of Mindanao which includes a detailed street map of CDO, and a useful map of Camiguin Island, but you may need a magnifying glass to read the fine print.

Gaisano City and Mall is on the main highway (C. M Recto Highway). There is a downtown Cogon Market where most of the jeepenies leave from. It’s a hustle-bustle area, and of all the areas it would be the one I am least attracted to, especially at night. Another part of downtown is known as Distoria (T. Neri and R. N Abejuela Streets) where there is an information centre, a great weekend market, and surrounded by many small hotels, pensions and the night clubs.

Downtown I have stayed at the Wiltshire and the upmarket Maxandria, Park View, and also the New VIP Hotel (1, 300 pesos/night) on Don Velez Street and near the centre of the nightclub action, and the Distoria shopping area.

Owner, Englishman Mike, offers to expats in the town and visitors a free and nice buffet meal every Friday night starting about 4. 30pm. I attended a few weeks back and it’s a good opportunity to catch up with some of the resident expats.

Good as Spooks was, the best show in town I found to be at New Oro "Love City".

There were polished stage acts, most of them in the "Les Girls" transvestite miming class.

Street and it is great! I would have been there 5 times now, usually with my lady and sometimes without. It starts to warm up after 10pm. There are two live bands per night, with 7-8 members in each and good vocalists. And it is clearly a great pick up ground, and although I was discoing (yes! ) with my lady there are lots of good eye contact and touches from, and with, others!

Enjoy the trip Gangles!

It's demoralising for guys to put a good report on thread only to find short time later guys asking questions about the self same thing, as if its never been reported on before.

Anyway, friend says Love City, not Spooks. Check them both out and report your findings.

well, sometimes the ball falls my way, sometimes not. i had started this adventure with twin objectives of finding my ideal woman, while getting in lots of jig-a-jig. these are often conflicting objectives. and i had adopted the mass contacts approach, that is, lots of names and numbers at each of my ports of call, with key targets supported by multiple backups.

as has been the case before, there is many a slip between the lip and the lip.

i had thought of spending time in both bacolod and cagayan de oro, but eventually decided on bacolod only, because of the preponderance of positive leads.

first up was miss b from my previous adventure in cebu. i had booked her in for four days, with the expectation that i could extend her time if things went well. she was a confirmed virgin, but i had successfully undermined her arguments for retaining her virginity. so she had said that she was going to do away with it when we got together.

this was very much the case, but only partly, and actually made the situation worse. when we went to bed, she indeed was ready to do away with it. but her **** was so small, and so tight, that it was very difficult to get inside her, and it hurt. because it hurt, she tightened up next time, and things went on very slowly. in the end, she was no longer a virgin, has fallen desperately in love with the man that took her hymen, but i am not getting my jollies in return. she has shown preparedness to blow, but she is very conservative, and it is tokenist only. what a mess.

after four days, i sent her home, as originally planned. she flew out early in the morning, and i had scheduled a luncheon with miss a, who looked ideal in her profile. however the reality was a woman with a really twisted mind, and with a gear or two missing. while we were talking and eating, she invited 4 of her friends to join us. i was bloody pissed with this, and made no offer to buy them lunch, or even drinks. so we talked en mass for a while till they took the hint and left. and not long after, i bailed out to.

miss c was booked for the evening, a simple dinner in the hotel, with the expectation of a romp in the pit. we had chatted about our options and preferences in coupling, so my expectations were high. however, as the time got close, i texted her to confirm that she would front on time. however, her mobile was with her sister, who rushed off to find her sister. the two of them turned up a bit late, but pretty much on time philippines time. we started with a nice dinner, simple, and things went well. until miss c checked with me that it was ok for her sister to stay with us overnight. i was a bit askance, and asked how old her sister is. 15. very juicy, voluptuous, willing, but dynamite. i said that she could not stay, because she is ****. they argued that the law is pretty lax, and it would be ok. i could see myself in front of a firing squad, and stood my ground. when the dinner had finished, we went to my room, but i left to door open, and stood close by the door, just to be sure. as the talk went on, they were obviously put out that i was so steadfast in my refusal, even though they offered that she would sleep on the floor.

eventually, miss c said that she would take her sister home, and come back later. but she did not front. strike out night one.

next day was lunch with miss d, a tall, thin woman, 31, teacher, independent. ideal. we were to meet in a mall for lunch, with the expectation that we would get together in the evening for further exploration. however the reality was a short, plump woman with an even fatter friend who was also ugly. we had a civil lunch, although i was really pissed at her deception. she was more than willing, and would be an enthusiastic lay. but i was turned off already, and plump turns me off. so after lunch, i went to their school to have a look, then beat it.

so, a bloody big gap in the program. but miss e had been texting aggressively, so i said ok, we would meet in robinson’s mall, to watch the judging of the miss masskara swimsuit competition. however, as usual, nothing is as it seems. it turns out that the information given to me by the tourist authority was wrong, and the judging was to be at sm mall. too far to change on short notice. anyhow, miss e turned up right on time, with a plump friend, who took off pretty soon after, and left to two of us alone. miss e is tall, thin, intelligent, educated and a teacher making decent money. ideal. but it turns out that she is totally controlled by her parents, and cannot stay out later than 10, and no interest in short time jig-a-jig. bugger. so we parted company, with her interest whetted, but her virginity confirmed.

so i stopped off at the italia restaurant for a very nice italian meal, dropped my stuff at the hotel, and headed out to the goldenfields complex to check out the bars.

due to some erroneous directions, it took me a while to find the right place. a bunch of bars, ktvs, restaurants and comedy shows in a row around the outside of a central group of restaurants. i made a first pass right round the outside to confirm the limits of opportunity. then i started at the first to look in to each place to check for fun options. while i was strolling along the sidewalk, a woman, later miss f, attached herself to me. she looked ok, and was pretty talkative, so i did not [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) her off completely. later, i came to the view that she was on her first experience, and was pretty nervous. after a couple of false starts, i went into a bar called my girl, or similar – a red and black sign over the door. it looked pretty dead, but there were some pretty good looking women there. so i sat down in a corner booth, with miss f close by. a couple of girls came over and chatted for a while. i checked the bar fine, 3,500, and ld for 290. so i declined both, with money for the girl, that would amount to 5,000 or more. but one of them was especially pretty, with a wonderful figure. they eventually drifted away. miss f tried to maintain a conversation, and did pretty well at it. she promised me a good massage if i took her home with me.

as the evening wore on, more customers started coming in at about 10 pm, and the place picked up noticeably. after a while, some of the girls started stripping to naked, and there were some honeys of figures, something to please everyone. as my interest danced, at each number she removed more, till she was bare. very nice indeed.

so when i had had enough, i left, with miss f still in tow. she would do, if the price was right. i had asked her before what was her price, but the usual – up to you. this time, i made sure that she understood, and agreed. she asked if 1,000 would be ok. i said yes, surprised at how cheap. she came back to the hotel, we stripped for a shower, and she revealed a real jungle of a bush. i said that if i was going to give her a good licking, the bush would have to go. she was more than agreeable, so we clipped and shaved her to bare pubes, and a very pretty pussy, wide open, turned on, showing pink. when we got started, i figured pretty quickly that this was new to her. and i think she had only ever had basic missionary, no foreplay, because she seemed surprised with herself, and was very responsive. it was a lovely night, suck, lick, root, snooze, root, snooze, suck, snooze play. we went to breakfast at 9, and she left at 10, promising to return next night, same arrangement. what a lovely way to spend a night.

next morning was get things organised day. a continuous stream of texts, calls. these women obviously spend all day doing nothing, and texting is their entertainment. i set up the next set of meetings, and finalized logistical arrangements.

i had scheduled lunch with miss g, at the local jollibee in sm. she fronted as planned, but as before, the promise was much more than the reality, and i bailed out. so, a casual, relaxing afternoon, just texting, phoning. then miss
f turned up right on time. we had a nice dinner, no hurry, both knowing that we had a good night ahead of us. and so it was, just as passionate and gfe as the previous night. but this time i was leaving early in the morning, so we did not get our relaxed breakfast. i paid her as the night before, and left her with all of the stuff that i had in the room, food, drinks, beers, an electric water heater, towels etc. she was laden and very happy. we parted with a lovely kiss.

so, let’s see how things pan out. next stop, manila.

I felt very safe in Davao. It is a huge city that has an international airport that you can fly directly to from Cebu/ Manila. No need to go to the provinces, for a couple hundred pesos, have the girl come to you.
This is a good option because there are literally millions of girls with in a few hours bus ride, and they most likely will not bring their cousin/friend with them. Also, they are most likely to stay a few nights in your hotel with you, until YOU decide to send them home.

yella manwith all respect to you guys, i found cdo to be misrable sh*t-hole. it's an industrial city, whole place stinks of sewer, a zoning hell.

the baranguys [sp. ] are the poorest i've seen, too high density. those broad boulivards that quarter the city are fire breaks. the barrios are death traps. the shoreline is totally industrial.

am i missing something here?

on a more positive note, stayed at the plaza downtown. the hookers were crowding the enterance at night. notice afew girliebars on the avenue a stone's throw from the hotel. lots of sws in the area.

there's a open air bar/restro built right on the river.

a little hard to find. it's next to the hospital. just walk down the hill towards the river on the road bordering the hospital on the right side of the hospital as you face the river.

nice breeze off the river. there's bbq stands next to the gangplank leading to bar, sari-saris; jeepnees stage there.

so, you can put the word out for some girls, no problem.

if you're adventurous, the street facing the hospital is the main river road. follow the street up-river, away from downtown a block or 3 into the barrio. find a place to sit with cold beer and watch the parade. it's an unending stream of young women. a smile and a wink is all you need.

No worries about rebels YM, unless you're going all the way west to Sulu or even Basilan, or up to Cotabato, Pikit and that area. There was a significant increase in fighting between government forces and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) last September. MILF "splinter groups" numbering as much as 200 were fighting, again in the Western side of Mindanao. It had escalated enough to concern my GF who lives in Bukidnon (central Mindanao). The papers were calling it a "war", but that's the press lol.

From what little I have read about it, a 'deal' with these MILF groups has not been made yet, so things could escalate again. If you were traveling the roads between CDO and Davao, you should expect checkpoints (little to no delays) by PI troops, and if fighting erupted again, perhaps a halt to traffic.

A prudent person stays in a hotel with security, and in CDO I believe Mallberry has the best security.

I like the malls and clubs that have guards. Crowded market areas with no security make me nervous. That said, I have used outdoor restaurants in CDO.

GE I'll look you up when I'm there and share a few drinks and stories with you and pick your brain about retiring in the Davao area.

Yella Man
All things considered, I think Davao is an excellent retirement destination, and, given the recent financial meltdown, in the unlikely event that I can ever afford to retire before I die, it will likely be here, at least part of the time. It's a well-run city and it's got most, if not all of the amenities that contribute to a decent quality of life. I'm now going on to my third consecutive night in Manila--and I'm usually here twice a month or so. Between the two cities, Davao wins decisively in my opinion, in terms of livability.

I'll look forward to the drinks and stories.

I have been to the philipppines three times so far including bacolod, leyte Palo. Dumaguete, siquijor and manilla. Thus far I have not had any encounter with the rebels. Once when I was in leyte, I wanted to go over to samar to check out the park which housed monkeys. I was told by some locals there to stay out of the area.

You must understand something about these rebels they are not just located in the south. They reside in rural areas as well in particular in rural areas.

All I can say is that you are in a third world country and anything could happen so be cautious. Just because you have not heard of any violences in your particular destination, still be aware. The NPA, actually kill filipinos simply because they have different political. All I can say is be carefull. Chances are you will not have a problem.

With all respect to you guys, I found CDO to be misrable sh*t-hole.

Well i suppose each of us has their own opinion on different cities Ratszo, but I have been to CDO many times and i think it's one of the better ones. Not so big but has all the amenities. Nice big mall, Limkitkai as well as the SM by the airport. Enough nice restraunts and bars.. I like going to Night cafe there downtown on Fridays and Saturday nights where they have live bands and street vendors. Enough single girls walking around to make the evening interesting. As far as daytime activities there is white water rafting and , trips to eco village or trying the zip line and hanging bridge. I did not do too much beach activity but did stay at AppleValley resort a few days there in Opol and the water was as clean as most beaches.

Yes there are hold-outs on Negros, Pasay and even Cebu. When I visited Pangasinan last month, there was a lady bumped off because of her political activism.

Nightrider1: Have you heard or ever stayed at the Duka Bay Resort near CDO?

The NPA does not mess with foreigners generally speaking. Even the mainstream Muslim groups do not target foreigners intentionally, only the Abu Sayyaf does that. I believe most of Mindanao is safer for the visiting foreigner than Manila or Angeles. The REAL leadership likely lives in Makati or upscale areas while the rank and file live in muddy jungles.

Most foreign visitors will not like the less Western oriented entertainment and food options in more remote areas. A couple days in the bundok and most guys will be in a great hurry to return to the creature comforts of the big cities. Until you have mastered Davao or CDO, going further afield is NOT likely a wise choice (or use of your time and money).

There seems to be some action here in boracay. Does anyone know where I can find a "short time" room? Found one place but they wanted 1000p. Way overpriced!

Touch down in Cebu city. Lovely city compared to Manila, but have already spent too much time there. Hit the bars, want to see what the new Black Hole loooks like. Then I have to get out of town, see something new...it's what I always do.

Thought about another trip to Dumaguete -- loved the hike to the waterfall. And then keep going. Silay...Bacolod?

I could go the other way to wonderful Ormoc. I wonder if the virgin I stood up is still a virgin...

Tacloban....now there's a place I'd like to go considering my naval background.

Decisions, decisons....

X /// any and all recommendations much appreciated.

I have always been diving whenever I visited Sabang in the past and thus always stayed at one of the dive centers. Trouble is the beach is shity there where the boat from Barangas lands. I plan to take my GF there next month and would like to stay at a place with a nice beach for swimming and f___ng in the twilight surf, but still walking distance from the discos. I seem to recall walking past the Big Apple and further around the cove was a sandy beach with some accomodations. Can someone give advice for hotels in sabang with a nice sandy beach that would be apropriate for the purpose mentioned above?

I ne.ver saw what I considered a decent beach around Sabang. Take a jeepney or trike over to White Beach. Its a very nice beach with bars, restaurants and shops where you can get out of the sun for awhile. The girlfriend will love it.
