Is there a way to keep these guys outside of phils? They are going to ruin the whole country!

I have some great memories in Sabang 2 years ago and I never paid more than 500p for a fuck there.

So what you tell us Redim makes me think I will never go back there.

Angeles is going down too

They even come to the Santos bars these days paying LD and even throwing ping pong balls in a ST bar!

Fuck them!

After the Sabang BF price hike development, I thought the girls would immediately start to think that their 'value' was higher. And how this will impact on the price they will accept for afternoon ST encounters. Well, perhaps the impact is not as widespread as I imagined.

For example, I had a spontaneous visitor to my room today. When I first met her a week ago, she insisted on 1K for afternoon ST. Today we chatted about the BF price rises, she believes the rates are now too expensive and is worried that less foreigners will pay that BF rate.

After the chatting, I offered her a package: 2 encounters for 1K. She agreed and will visit again in a few days to collect the second half of the deal.

So it might still be business as usual here in Sabang outside of the bars. For example, as before, some girls will scream 1K for afternoon ST, while others will accept the 700/500 offers, like before. Sure there will always be the cutties that never ST. But will less foreigners paying the BF, then the girls will be same same open minded to afternoon ST delights. Hehehe.

So, for those like me who are not interested in paying the BF, then use the same strategy as before. Pay the higher prices for the drinks and use your bar time to make friends and distribute your cell number and wait for the booty calls.

The Koreans. Some long terms westerns believe that the Koreans come here on package deals, booked and paid for in Korea. The package includes: flights; hotel and some kind of BF quota. The hotel will then pay the bars at the end of the month for each hotel guest. Perhaps the bars give the hotels some kind of bulk discount on BF quotas etc. So the Koreans do not payout for each BF as it is packaged in the original holiday deal. And with the price hike, the travel agent / hotel may absorb the price hike partially.

Nevertheless, I still believe the price hike will impact on foreigner casual BFs.

The instigator of the price hike was the new Broadway lease holder, Korean. The PH owner asked a certain monthly price for the lease, the Korean agreed and now realizes he has overpaid and feels the pain so he needs to raise cashflow. Visitor numbers to Sabang have been on the decline since the economic crisis and this will continue. So the pain for business operators here will increase over time.

Despite the appearance that Koreans have some kind of superior business savy, they will make mistakes like westerners with business and investment decisions. So I will not lose sleep if / when they (Koreans) crash and burn.

2 days ago, all bars raised their barfine prices from 2K to 3K.Did the bars in Sabang raise their barfines from 1000 to 2000 or 3000? Did the bars change like Angeles with a straight barfine without tip? Or are the girls demanding more than 1000 tip for a total cost of 3000?

Previously the barfine in Sabang was 1000, with the girl getting a 1000 tip the next morning, for a total of 2000 pesos.

Yes, the bar owners have got together and agreed to raise the barfines to 3000, 1500 for the bar and 1500 for the girl. Drinks have also increased 25. The reason is the Koreans come to the bars early, barfine girls and don't spend money on drinks. Western Foreigners like me tend arrive later, party in the bars with the girls, buy drinks and then bar fine the girls. The first night after the increase in bar fine, very very few girls were barfined. The business model of Koreans barfining the girls and not spending money in the bars will evening cause the bars to fail. Most of the bars are owned by Koreans now. This issue was eventually going to come to a head so it will be interesting to see what happens next.

This issue was eventually going to come to a head so it will be interesting to see what happens next.Have Subic rates risen to match the competition? It is the obvious alternative for those seeking diving with nightly entertainment. My last trip the total price was the same as Sabang's old rates at 1500+500. It will be interesting to see if the 500 has grown to 1500. I must admit though that Sabang always represented better value interms of looks and their general attitude of keep the punters happy and they will come back. It will be a pity if that has disappeared.

I was in Subic 2 weeks ago and Subic bars have improved since I was there 3. 5 years ago but still not enough girls. For me, good bars in Subic are Wet Spot and Lips. Diving and girls are still a lot better in Sabang than Subic but Subic is a good change especially if your are a fan of wreck diving. www.subicdive.com Is a good dive shop and they have basic rooms as well. The dive shop at Blue Rock has closed but the rooms and food are still good. Subic bars tend to get busy later, like after 11pm so don't be surprised if you are the only customer in the bar at 9pm.

If I was a bar owner in Sabang, I would set my bar fine to 2000p until 10pm, then 1000p after 10pm. This keeps a good proportion of the girls in the bar until later when the punters have had enough drinks. There are plenty of non-girlie bar in Sabang like Marty's and Tamarind if you want to have cheap drinks.

If anyone knows of another good dive place in Philippines with girlie bars, please let us know.

Can anyone confirm that they dropped the barfine cost back down to the old price?

ThanksSabang Update:

BF.

Coco Lips: 2000, 1000 to bar then 1K for the girl in morning before she leaves. This is the system for all bars.

Broadway: 3000.

Sabang Disco: 3000.

Village: 3000.

Venus: 2000.

Vegas: 2000.

Things to mindful of:

Go early and take your girls, otherwise you will be left with the Korean rejects in the 3K korean owned bars after 730pm. This applies to all bars.

Regarding the 2K, PH owners, bars, again go early, otherwise you will be left with both Korean and Western rejects. The 2K bars are now very busy with few available girls after 9pm because of the price difference.

Freelance girls are few because they are policed away by barangay captain security monkeys patrolling around at night.

Can anyone inform me please of what to expect in terms of Nightlife in Boracay as well as any other attractions?

Stuff like normal bars where you can pick up "amature or normal" locals and expats. Also, some mongering bars where you pick up p2ps. Any other tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The Koreans are killing Sabang for us Westerners. I have been going to Sabang since 2006 and the last 2 years the Koreans have invaded and now the bars in Sabang are no fun anymore. What can we do? If the Korean Won took a huge dive making it expensive for Koreans to travel that would help but not likely anytime soon.

Suggestions please.

Also, here are some suggestions:

1. Boycott the Korean owned bars of Broadway, Sabang Disco and Village or at least refuse to buy girlie drinks.

2. Vacate any bar that has too many Koreans or leave when a large group enters and make sure you make it known to the girls that there are too many Koreans.

3. The bargirls in Sabang tell me that Koreans don't like to use condoms so spread rumours that all Koreans have diseases.

4. BYOGs from AC or Manila.

5. Spend less time in Sabang. There are plenty of other good places around Philippines and easier to get to, I. E. Subic, AC, Cebu.

SnowUpdate:

One girl from Village Bar (Korean owned) and a 3K BF, told me many girls are leaving, especially, the ones that do not fit the narrow profile that the Koreans like. This trend is probably happening in the other 3K bars also.

(Correction from previous post, Venus is also a 3K bar).

Those koreans that are not on a holiday / girl quota package pre-paid in korea, now invade the 2K bars and swipe all the decent girls by 8pm.

The korean invaders will burn themselves eventually unless they can maintain the flow of pre-paid punters shipped in by the boatload.

Only western dumbass tourists and lonely koreans will pay 3K for korean rejected prospects, in Sabang at least.

Another rumor. A 2 pricing system is developing. 1 for koreans and blowins, and 1 for expats. If you are in one of the 3K bars and want a girl, talk to the mama, say you are a resident and she may allow the girl to go with you for 2K. My friend was in Venus the other night and the mama made the 2K offer.

On a lighter note, the dry season is approaching with the promise of bluesky days, great swimming and exploring some of the 'secret' beaches for afternoon snorkels and snacks.

I believe Americans should be able to compete and win. IMO (obviously not yours) , Koreans are not superior to Americans.

3. The bargirls in Sabang tell me that Koreans don't like to use condoms so spread rumours that all Koreans have diseases. Are Pinays that stupid? Maybe...LOL!

I hope Americans have some class (at least 80% of them) , and will not stoop to that level.

5. Spend less time in Sabang. There are plenty of other good places around Philippines and easier to get to, I. E. Subic, AC, Cebu.Subic is not as scenic as Puerto Galera. Cebu (Mactan Island) is harder to get to. IMO, Sabang has the best combo of nightlife, scuba diving, convenience and value.

What can we do?

Suggestions please. If you can't compete with the Koreans in Sabang and the Northern Europeans in Phuket, stay home.

You can also go to Costa Rica. The majority of the mongers will be American. Virtually no Koreans around.

#4 has been my tactic for about 3 years now. Bring a hottie from Manila; if she bores or annoys, put her on the ferry back to Batangas and invite another Manila girl to come visit for a few days.

I really enjoy Puerto Galera and the diving it offers. But in my experience, the girlie bar scene there leaves a lot to be desired.

One girl from Village Bar (Korean owned) and a 3K BF, told me many girls are leaving, especially, the ones that do not fit the narrow profile that the Koreans like.I guess that profile will be young, skinny and cute. I believe that's most people's profile of girls they like.

(Correction from previous post, Venus is also a 3K bar).Too bad, Venus was my favorite bar. I'm afraid that prices has gone up everywhere in SE Asia.

Only western dumbass tourists and lonely koreans will pay 3K for korean rejected prospects, in Sabang at least.Survival of the fittest. Smart Western tourist should go in half an hour earlier to get the best girls. A nice place to hang out is at Rock's Cafe (the coffee joint next to Venus) after dinner, and watch all the girls go to work.

LOL! So "lonely" Koreans are not "dumbasses" like the Westerners?

I am not sure if the Koreans are more resilient, but eventually the Japanese left. If I remember correctly though, the majority of pinoy are still pissed with the Japs about WWII and what happened in the Philippines.

Bummer if the Koreans fuck it up for everyone. I spent 19 days in Sabang in July 2010 and had a great time. Hooked up with 'Miss Sabang' (showed me the sash and picture) and then 'Miss Best Bikini Body'. Eventually you will meet some freelancers that want to stay with you, cook for you, bang you twice a day, etc.

Man. Koreans taking over Sabang. What a bummer. Oh yea, and the value of the won ain't goin anywhere south. The dollar must get stronger.

What about Venus disco or some of the dive clubs? I am sure I remember some freelancers hanging around there at all hours of the night.

If your still pissed, try White Beach during the day and after hours. I watched plenty of Korean girls on vacation over there and not one single person would talk to them. Kinda felt sorry for them. However, knowing what bitches they are in Seoul, not really.

Take care all and happy mongering,

continued from the manila and quezon city forums.

i arrived in sabang via the si-kat bus-ferry combo (600 pesos) departing from the city state hotel in manila. after checking into the sabang inn, a nice little (and very girl friendly) guesthouse / dive center near the quiet east end of sabang beach, i spent the afternoon diving. the forum has plenty of reports warning that sabang's korean visitors tend to sweep into the bars at opening time, say 7 pm, and take out all the lookers, so i worried that my long post-diving nap followed by dinner were going to tor**** my chance of picking up a nice girl, since i would be arriving at the bars after 8:30.

my fears were unfounded. i walked over to the bar area after dinner in search of venus disco (which seemed to get the best reviews). i found venus, and inside found it brimming with cute girls, at least 50 of them, outnumbering the male guests by about 3 to 1. i saw no evidence that all the good looking ones had all been taken. not every girl was gorgeous, but there were plenty of cuties and they were all at least young and fresh looking, and unlike the go-go's in angeles i saw later on the trip there were no dregs: the kind you can't imagine anyone barfining. another difference from the angeles go-gos (at venus and the other bars i checked out) was that there were only about four girls in bikinis dancing on stage at any time. for me they were not the focus; my attention was directed at the vast majority of the girls, sitting or standing around the bar in their street clothes, dresses or something more casual. but ultimately i didn't have to hunt, my honey came to me.

as soon as i entered venus and got a san mig a mamasan brought a girl over to me. she wasn't bad looking but didn't do it for me, so i was minimally chatty (without being rude) to avoid indicating interest. when i shifted over to another seat at the bar the mamasan brought over three girls. two were ok, the kind of girls i might date in normal life, but not for a play for pay pickup. the third was different. the mamasan seemed to emphasize this when she introduced smiling jaylu, pointing out the adorable dimples on the face of this tiny 18 year old girl, who had been in sabang all of three days.

for some reason though i wasn't ready to commit, and thanked everyone and resumed looking around the bar. one of the three girls sat next to me and i again was evasive. i soon saw that jaylu and the other one had relocated to seats on the other side of the bar. one of my mannerisms in a setting like this is to rest my chin in my hand as i survey the scene. well, i noticed that jaylu was mimicking my pose with a big smile on her face. by now i saw the light and knew that i could not pass this cutie up, so i called her over. she joined me and we smiled, laughed, flirted, tickled, caressed. i sensed some serious gfe potential so i summoned the mamasan to seal the deal.

that's when i was hit with the news that the cost was 3, 000 pesos, not 2, 000 as i expected. i wondered if i was being ripped off, but the mamasan here told me that in october the management had imposed the price increase. i also wondered if venus was just more expensive, but i later checked at a couple of other discos (broadway and sabang disco) , and was told the same thing about the october price increase. (damn the sabang girlie bar cartel! i propose we get the occupy wall street protesters to come over and denounce this injustice.).

i paid up, jaylu returned after changing from her sexy green dress into more casual clothes, and thus began the best girlfriend experience of my mongering career. that night and the next two we listened to live music, two nights at castillo club on the big street (recommended for live acts and karaoke) and at broadway's billiards bar the middle night. jaylu was a talented singer, and listening to her on the karaoke mike was great fun, as was seeing how the live bands would interpret my requests for bob dylan or abba. our second two evenings together (after barfining her out at 7 o'clock) we ate at a nice little fish restaurant overlooking the water called biondo's, feeding each other (including spaghetti ala 'lady and the tramp') and stealing kisses when the disapproving waitress wasn't watching. while she wasn't exactly into deep conversation, jaylu did give me some entertaining tagalog vocabulary lessons (animal names, including my favorite: poo-sah) and interesting insight into bargirl thinking (example: they dislike having to spend the night at the mock-castle tropicana hotel because they think it's haunted by the ghost of a murdered bargirl). on the way back to the inn, we shared ice cream and popcorn.

my teenage dream didn't end there. back in the room, jaylu was much more sexually skilled than her innocent look or 18 years would suggest. each night we would settle in on the couch to watch music videos on the myx channel and soon found our lips locked and tongues entwined. jaylu would soon be straddling me and lifting her top to reveal her bee-sting titties, then easing my pants off to give me a sublime uncovered blowjob. her shorts would slide down, allowing me to admire jaylu's dimples – not the ones that emerged when she smiled, but those delicious ones you find on a teenie's lower back. when i removed jaylu's shorts and held them i marveled at how tiny they were: if i were to fold them up they would be the size of my wallet.

going down on jaylu's bald pussy was a treat for me and for her, and i had to restrain her from jumping up and impaling herself on my bare dick once she got soaking wet from my licking. what i think i love most about being with a petite girl are the many possible position options. one night i sat jaylu down on the top of the desk / makeup table, which was boxed in by mirrors on three sides, producing a fantastic triple view of me fucking her while standing. with her legs and arms around me, i lifted her up and continued to fuck her standing up for a while, then laid her on her back to penetrate her in missionary. whatever the sequence or variety of positions, our typical finish was in my favorite arrangement, with her lying on top of me with her back against my stomach. thrusting her hips up and down, she made me cum and moan loudly with pleasure, something that happens for me only when it's really good.

our last morning together featured the delight of another sunrise session and the sadness of parting. after breakfast together at the hotel jaylu walked me to the ferry landing, we kissed, and we shared a glance as i boarded the boat, bringing to a close the kind of girlfriend experience i never really anticipated.

my teenage dream didn't end there. back in the room, jaylu was much more sexually skilled than her innocent look or 18 years would suggest. each night we would settle in on the couch to watch music videos on the myx channel and soon found our lips locked and tongues entwined. jaylu would soon be straddling me and lifting her top to reveal her bee-sting titties, then easing my pants off to give me a sublime uncovered blowjob. her shorts would slide down, allowing me to admire jaylu's dimples – not the ones that emerged when she smiled, but those delicious ones you find on a teenie's lower back. when i removed jaylu's shorts and held them i marveled at how tiny they were: if i were to fold them up they would be the size of my wallet.

going down on jaylu's bald pussy was a treat for me and for her, and i had to restrain her from jumping up and impaling herself on my bare dick once she got soaking wet from my licking. what i think i love most about being with a petite girl are the many possible position options. one night i sat jaylu down on the top of the desk / makeup table, which was boxed in by mirrors on three sides, producing a fantastic triple view of me fucking her while standing. with her legs and arms around me, i lifted her up and continued to fuck her standing up for a while, then laid her on her back to penetrate her in missionary. whatever the sequence or variety of positions, our typical finish was in my favorite arrangement, with her lying on top of me with her back against my stomach. thrusting her hips up and down, she made me cum and moan loudly with pleasure, something that happens for me only when it's really good.

our last morning together featured the delight of another sunrise session and the sadness of parting. after breakfast together at the hotel jaylu walked me to the ferry landing, we kissed, and we shared a glance as i boarded the boat, bringing to a close the kind of girlfriend experience i never really anticipated.

Great report, thank you. Nice to know the cute girls are still available in Sabang.

A couple of questions: 1. Did you pay the 3000 peso bar fine all nights? 2. How much tip did you give her on top if the 3000?

Snow. Thanks, Snow. I did pay the 3K barfine each night; Jaylu was new to the place so I didn't want to get her in trouble by suggesting she try to avoid it, and I didn't think to ask for some sort of deal with the mamasan. I think I gave her a tip of 300 the first night, and then gave her a little gift I brought from home on our last morning.

Hi All:

Met a younger german tourist with some PH experience and relayed his BF experiences in Sabang and I will share here to add to our knowledge base of PH. Heheh.

BF 1. Not sure which bar. All good after paying his 3K bf, then the same girl offered to visit him the following afternoon for 1K for a couple of hours, he agreed. All ended well and she left, but about 1 hour later she returned with her mamasaun who was demanding he pay another 1K, which he did and they then both left him in peace.

I have been in Sabang for a couple of years and never paid a BF and have my share of afternoon cell phone sneak-out visits and have never had any harassment from mamasauns. Perhaps because I am recognised or labeled as not a short term tourist. They may try this collaborated trick on naive tourists.

If your find yourself in this situation, pay what the mama asks or nego a price for the 2rd installment because in theory the girl can be fined / punished 2K fine if caught sneaking out during the day or after work is finished.

BF 2. More disconcerning. The german guy BF a vegas bar girl. 2K. Did the pre-pay interview. She assured him she did not have her menstrual. However back in the room she proceeds to take a shower and while exiting the shower and wrapped in a towel, begins to take pics of herself with her cell phone. He did think this strange practice.

Then she announces she has started her period. He was of course not happy and immediately marched her back to the bar.

BTW, he foolishly paid the full 2K up front, despite that it is standard in Sabang to only pay 1/2 the BF when taking the girl and the other 1/2 in the morning. I did remind him of this practice, but he told me the mama insisted on the 2K up front.

On returning to the bar with the girl and complaining to the mama about the girl's lies about her period pre BF interview and asking for a replacement girl or a refund, the mama told him NO replacement and NO refund. The mama said that he has already f*ked her and the girl also said that they did f*k alread and had pics to prove it (the exit shower pics).

Then the guy asked to speak to the manager, and the manager told him he did not need to talk to him and dismissed the guy's case and told him to leave the bar.

Is this self photo in the room an imported trick from other PH locations? Anyway, just be alert.

Analysis:

1. In Sabang at least, do not be persuaded to pay full price before taking the girl.

2. Ask her to turn off her cell in the room.

Remember, prostitution is illegal in PH. In theory, the punter is not paying for f*cking, but is paying for 'company' and 'conversation' and 'tour guidance'. So in the case above your 2K or 3K does not pay for s*x, it pays to be accompanied by a lady for company and conversation etc. So we can never complain, in theory, that we did not get 's*x in exchange for the 2/3K because that is illegal.

Just saying.

Now I am off to a pto to meet a couple of regular girls. Heheheh.

BTW, for meeting girls, think: hospitals; churches; libraries.

Import export.

I took a gf for a few days, to Alona Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol. It is not easy to book with them, and I was unsure of whether there was actually a room when we arrived. As it was, my name was not on the bookings board, but there must have been a room, because we got one. I had a deluxe room, at 2, 800 per night.

I have stayed here before, but I had forgotten how small the rooms were. There is very little in the room. Breakfast is provided, but it is pretty basic. Although it is advertised as such, but the wifi is not available in rooms, despite a router located outside my door.

The location is great, almost central, right on the beach. We could walk downstairs, acros the beach and into the water, which is very clean by Philippine standards.

Night time is the best for me. Eating dinner right on the beach, at the water's edge. Lights in the trees, moon over the water. Just lovely.

And my beautiful lady just loved it all.

We took the fast ferry from Cebu to Tagbilaran.

From the airport, or the ferry terminal, take a van. It should cost 450 pesos, but sometimes you may need to pay up to 600. The van will take you to a central parking place on the beach.

From there, you walk to your hotel / resort. It cost me 100 pesos to get my bag carried from van to the resort. And the same back. Your hotel will organise a van from the car park to the ferry terminal, or the airport, should be the same price. 450 to 600 pesos.

Although Hayahay calls itself a resort, it is actually a pension, with few services of a hotel.

In my opinion, it is not good value for money.

Hi All:

Interesting brief story.

A friend had a few drinks in Venus bar the other night. When he was finished his own SML, he signaled to the bar staff that he wants to pay his bill. He gave the waitress a 1K bill. She took the 1K bill and the invoice ticket and went to the cashier.

He wait 10mins, but she never returned with his change of about 700P. When he signaled her and asked for his change, she said looked confused and said 'what change', 'no change'.

He explained about the 1K bill, she continued to look confused and then walked away. Then security approached. My friend glared at the security and said, 'back off Mother F. '. Then he continued to the cashier and put his case in firm terms, eventually getting his change back.

The reason they tried to trick him, he was all sparkly and clean on the night and looking like a fresh off the boat tourist.

Just sayin, tricks of the trade. Be alert.

BTW: Hammerhead is ready to open, renovations finished. It is planned as a girly bar with pool tables etc. But I am told the management is finding it difficult to persuade the Mamas to gather enough girls to populate the new bar. Even the girls I speak to complain that 3K is too expensive. And the Mamas do not want the risk of housing and feeding a bunch of girls who will not get enough BFs to pay their bills to the mamas.

Broadway front bar: until the new Korea leaseholder took control, this place was big popular with local expats and long stay westerners. But since that korean jacked the beer prices, it has been boycotted. The locals now beer 'vote' elsewhere.

Great report thank you.

Alona Beach is my favourite place in Philippines. Although there are no bar girls, the beach is great, the diving is great, the food is great and the evenings are very romantic. There are plenty of waitresses in the Alona beach restaurants and although they may not be up for fun, they may have friends that might be interested. No harm in asking.

I have stayed in Oops Bars cottages twice at about 1000 peso per night for a basic cottage with fan. Perfectly located near to Hayahay and very short walk to the water. Morning swim before breakfast on the beach is a great way to start the day.

I will back in Alona Beach with my honey for New Year this time staying in Alona Vida which is more up-market and right next to Hayahay.

The only possible bar nightlife is in Tagbilaran city at the Bohol Tropics nightclub which is 40 minutes away, otherwise Bohol girls are very friendly and may be interested in a meet from DIA or Tagged if you are willing to put in the leg work.

I'm looking to take a regular from Sabang to Coron.

Would 10k per week paid directly to her be a fair rate for a week or two?

She would be forgoing 1500 in tips plus ladies drinks / dancing income. I wouldn't expect to pay the barfine for out of town work. She has always worked hard for her money in the past so I want to be fair without being outrageous.

Ideas?

If the girl likes you, then I am sure she would jump at the chance to get out of the bar for a week's holiday to a place she probably has not been before. You should try and negotiate a good deal with the mamasan for the bar fine. As a comparison that to buy a girl out of the bar to become a gf usually costs 15K.

Also note that Coron is fairly isolated so if you have a problem with her, it is going to be hard to send her back.

I've had several multiday sessions still in town where girls have just said that they are going back to the Province. No bar fine payable just tip straight to the girl. Just meant that we couldn't go outside much and we had to spend a lot of time indoors. Not such a bad thing.

Everyone seemed happy as long as she did go back to work after I left.

Definitely give it try with the girl telling the Mamasan she is going home but the Mamasan may know something is up if you bar fine her a few nights in a row and then she wants to disappear. The Manasans are primarily interested in money and will only care about the girl if the money is coming in. The girl will stress if her Mamasan is texting and calling her which is no fun for you either.

Of course, you could actually take here home, or close to it. For example, if she is from CDO then Camigian is just up the road and definitely on my list of places to go.

Flash floods in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. I visited a gf once lived in a shanty town in CDO, next to the mouth of the river. All of them were at best a foot higher than the river level. Sheet, sucks to be them.

An army spokesman said many villagers on the north coast of Mindanao island were swept into the sea after Tropical Storm Washi brought heavy rain.

Iligan and Cagayan de Oro cities have been hard hit, with many victims asleep as the floods swept into their homes. So is anyone getting pleas online for personal disaster relief? I figger, unless you're in that Sprint commercial, and are logging onto the Internet via your iPhone while you float out at sea, you're doing pretty good.

I might take a trip from AC to Baguio. Anyone been there lately? I like the cool air and pine trees but wondering if there is any action. Thanks.I have been to Baguio few times. Bring your own from AC. There are KTV's but they are aimed at the Korean market and will be hard for you to find. Most working girls there have only experienced Korean and local. I did find one local bar, where girls dance and then come to the table to have a 'chat' but I was with a girl at the time so I didn't ask. Have a look I did post the address of the place here although you would have to search maybe a year or so ago, there is a KTV near there too, next to a korean restourant so you may want to look around. My wingman did pick a door girl from a KTV and payed 3000 long time. City has not much to do in terms of entertainment, book hotel in advance as the few western style hotels tend to be booked out quick. In terms of cool and pine trees you will get that, when there is fog (just about every time I have been there) and you stand on one of the top floor terraces of SM it feels like you are in haven with all the fog bellow. City reminds of the favelas in Rio. Also its dirt cheep. I remember drinking cocktails in a philipino bar and paying 50 peso a drink. Since you will be in the area have a look at San Fernando La Union. There is a good summery of the scene there in one of the RODs. Place has a few resorts so maybe if you are striking out and decide you want the beach again.

Baguio is NOTHING like it used to be back before 2000. There are now way too many polluting jeepneys and streets are crowded. Many of the pine trees have gone in the pursuit of road-widening, and it is no longer the cooler summer retreat that it used to be. Camp John Hay is still a pleasant oasis and a reasonable golf course too. Not a big mongering scene there although, like every Philippines city or town, it is there.

Well, the place seems to be completely spoiled by Koreans and by occasional tourists. Unless you are willing to pay a 3000 p barfine for an average service, there's not much to do: a few contacts I got on the street either announced crazy prices, either had an alarming business attitude. And there are no beaches in Sabang.

What else could I expect from a place where tourists are ready to pay european prices for food and hotels?

Sorry to be so negative, but it's just sad to see how many good places around the world just dissapeared because of these unaware people. They come to a third world country but don't want local food, they stay at overpriced comfort hotels owned by foreigners. And it's not just about prices going up, it's about an original place losing it's authenticity. Puerto Galera is dead.

I lived in Baguio for 5 yrs about 10 yrs ago and made my first return trip this year and can say that there are a lot of changes, both good and bad.

The good. Is that there is the best SM I've seen in the Phil. All open air and clean theaters and lots of 'eye candy'. But hard to approach the girls there for some reason. Lots of good restaurants [for the Phil]. Also taxis are the cheapest and most honest I've seen in the Phil, with drivers acting surprised at a 3 peso tip.

The bad. Too much traffic and road construction on the already congested roads and polution from the diesel jeepneys and taxis and construction and it just hangs in the Baguio valley.

Nightlife sucks as mention in earlier posts. 10 yrs ago, there were lots of cool local strip clubs that had a few stunners and they stripped all the way, but not much now, but for a quick 'fix', you can jump on a bus to Bauang and there are a few gogo bars on the main hiway or some local strip clubs on Poro point.

I agree. I am boycotting Sabang this dive season (Nov-11 to May-12) because there are too many Koreans. I live in Makati and last season I was in Sabang every 2 months for 4 day long weekends. I even left my dive gear there at a friends dive shop but not this year. Unfortunately, the dive shops are going to struggle becasue the Koreans don't dive much, not underwater anyway. My understanding is that the bars prefer the Western Foreigners because we spend plenty of drinks. Not a lot we can do until the Korean bubble bursts.

What we really need is a new Sabang to scuba dive during the day and pussy dive at night. What I am doing now is BYOG to dive places I. E. Alona Beach, which works but not as much fun as going to a new dive site during the day and a new dive site at night.

Unfortunately, the dive shops are going to struggle becasue the Koreans don't dive much, not underwater anyway. My understanding is that the bars prefer the Western Foreigners because we spend plenty of drinks. Both points are incorrect. A small percentage of Whites and Koreans dive, but those who do dive come to places like Puerto Galera. You do see many Koreans in the dive boats. Probably the Koreans don't dive at your friend's dive shop; many of them dive at the Korean owned dive resorts. Actually, average dive business at the small places might drop because many dive shops (several at the Korean resorts facing the ocean) have opened up the last several years.

All the bars love business from Whites, Koreans and Martians. Never seen any discrimination from the green money.

Puerto Galera is only dead for racists who don't want to be around Koreans.GreenBud, I have no idea about this place, but isn't it a bit hard to say that anyone that choose to avoid a particular place due to a higher concentration of a specific nationality, is a racist? Maybe he just does not like the way things changed? Authentic is a subjective judgment, so surely he can claim that this place lost what he considered authentic during his previous visits.

I avoid the Mediterranean areas that are packed with English "football fans", not because I do not like England but because I do not like the way these visitors tilts the local culture and atmosphere. Nothing personal against these people or their nationality / race. Just my preference. A higher concentration of a more or less homogeneous group of people, will unavoidably affect any place. Sometimes both financially and culturally. It is not wrong to dislike these kind of changes. We do not need to embrace all changes per default in order to not be considered racists or backwards. What level of change we will accept, is as subjective as what type of food we prefer a particular day.

I do not consider you narrow minded GB given what I read previously from you (on the contrary) , but "opinion discrimination" is just as dangerous and degenerating as disliking a person solely based o the color of his skin.

I just came back from drinking in Sabang. I didn't barfine as I planned.

I saw about 5 Koreans take out about 10 girls (the cute ones of course). My girl was already barfined. Oh well; you snooze, you lose. I don't hate them for that. I just have to be smarter next time. The girlie bars open at 7 PM; I just have to get there at 6:59 PM.

1) Most girlie bars have raised their "total" barfine to 3000 pesos. Las Vegas is 2500 pesos. Note that you pay half the barfine to the mamasan at the bar, and then the other half to the girl after the deed (s). Mamasan might ask you to pay the entire fee unfront, but if you insist paying half and half, the mamasan should relent.

2) They are currently refurbishing the Hammerhead.

3) IMO, Venus is the best overall, in terms of the quality and quantity.

4) IMO, the average looks of the girls in Sabang is better than the average looks in Angeles Fields.

5) In the 6 bars that are currently open, there are probably less than 200 girls, but several are very cute (7s or maybe 8s in my tough personal scale) ; they are better than the cutest ones in Angeles.

7) At 7 PM, there are many girls. At 12 PM, the bars are pretty much empty (only ugly / marginal ones are left).

8) I spoke with one of the mamasans. She said there was a period after they raised their barfines in which business was slow. Now business is hopping. I'm afraid the 3000 pesos barfine is here to stay.

9) Between 7-8 PM, the majority of the customers are Koreans. At 9 PM, it seemed to be 50/50. At 12 AM, the majority was White.

hi all:

sabang update.

all bars are now 3k. however, here are a few methods to arrange discounts from personal experience and reports from

friends here:

- if you are in the bar after 11pm, then you can nego with the mama for 2k (the former rate before the recent price

hikes).

- if you befriend one of the mamas, then she may be open minded to a general 2k deal.

- once you have a connection with some of the mamas, they may or you can propose a 'daytime bf'. this option has

been offered to me. for example, take the girl at 10 or 11 am and she stays with you till 4pm. rate offered to me:

1. 5k.

- i have a close friend here who has on speed dial 1 mama who gives him her girls for 1. 1 daytime bf. 1k for the

girl. 100p for the mama.

so with a little patience, social and nego skills, discounts can be arranged.

on another topic, the korean new leaseholder of broadbar was the instigator for the recent price hikes from 2k in

all bars to 3k. soon after he took the lease, he realised he had overpaid for the lease and went to the barangay

captain seeking permission to hike the bf etc. of course the barangay captain supported this request because he is

also a barowner and saw this as a fine opportunity to follow the price trend in his bar. the all other bars saw

this a a green light to follow the trend.

however, the korean's strategy has exploded in his face. in addition to the bf price hike, he foolishly hiked the

the broadway drink prices both in the girly bar and the front billiard bar. as a result all the western expats

boycotted broadway front bar resulting in more pain for the korean owner.

more bad business decisions follow. now the suffering korean leaseholder of broadway has decided to kill the girly

bar business and rennovate into a ktv / bistro targetted at the koreans. this is currently underway in the middle

of the moneymaking high season. all the broadway girls have been migrated upstairs to hammerhead, which was never a

success and when recently visited, is still empty of customers on any given night.

so sabang has lost the classic broadway bar, which was one of the better / happy bars.

cocolips has a new german leasholder. likewise the bf is 3k. but from my experience, that bar never worked. the

'culture' of the girls is like this. you enter, sit. all the girls are sitting on the right side near the change

rooms. perhaps 1 girl may come and sit with you, but if after asking of an ld you do not buy for her, she will

abandon you and return to the group of girls and you can enjoy finishing your drink alone.

all bars are popular the the koreans. their habbit is to visit the bars at 7pm and take 10-15 of the a-grade girls.

so this habbit does 2 things, it limits the selection of girls for westerns to bf, and limits the amount of eye

candy for the westerns. so what westerns are left with is the korean rejects and chubby trash both for bf choices

and eye candy. add to this that a percentage of girls are exclusively reserved for the korean market. in other

words, the mamas will not allow westerns to bf some of the girls.

all of the accommodation construction and business investment in sabang is korean money. so, this trend will

continue i expect.

incidently, the girls i've spokend to express their dissatisfaction with the bf price hikes. they are aware that 3k

is 'expensive' and are aware that this will impact on the the amount of bf activity for all of the girls.

nevertheless, sabang is still in the philippines. for example, i had a group of 4 girls in my room the other day.

after some chat and giggles, i negotiated a deal with 2 of the group: bombom and happy ending with 1 girl + full body

massage and baby oil happy ending with her friend. damage: 500p complete. why? because 500 is more than 2 times

their daily salary in the province.

welcome to ph, happy days

1) A higher percentage of girls in Sabang will not do BJs compared to Angeles.

2) The average English fluency level of the girls in Sabang (including hotel staff) is lower than Angeles.

3) Compared to 8 years ago (and even 2 years ago) , the average quality / looks is higher. Maybe the higher barfine is attracting the cuter girls? Some of the 3000 Peso spotlight girls in Angeles should come to Sabang; they will make more money.

4) IMO, the quality of the girls in the Phillippine Village Disco was decent; similar to the quality at Venus. I thought those were the best 2.

5) The Asians in Sabang are not all Koreans. There are Japanese and Chinese people around.

6) Observed a new trick. 3 Asians came to Venus and sat on the couches in front. Then they got all the mamasans to bring their cute girls around. Then they took 3 and left. They treated the place like a take-out lineup. It's better if you don't want to drink because the lighting is better, and you don't have to pay for the 250 pesos ladydrinks.

7) Got stung by an old trick; never barfined that girl I wanted at Venus because the guy barfined her long time (3+ nights).

8) It only takes 10 Koreans to take the best 15-20 girls (7s and some 8s). The remaining, IMO, isn't that bad.

9) Girls are not slaves; they don't have to go out with you (if you're disgusting) if they don't want to.

10) Sabang has always been known as a party scene (8 years ago; not sure about 25 years ago). Not much has changed except now they built / are building on what remaining open land they had; more hotels with dive shops, cottages and a few more bars. Plus the prices for SMLs (50 or 60 to 80) and barfines (2000 to 3000) have gone up, just like most places. Koreans have always been around (although not as a high percentage as it is now). Also, the Koreans always went to the bars early to take out the cutest girls.

11) Sabang is not a place to go if you want to "get away from it". A good option for peace and tranquility is Big Laguna. Approx a 20 minute walk from Sabang. Not many people around. 1 obvious Korean resort, but most of the people on the beach were White. But be warned, there are Russians around. LOL! But thank goodness, didn't notice any Arabs or NGOs around. LOL!

I don't want to get into the anti Korean comments of some of the past posts but am interested to see why they get the best girls.

Most will say they do not like to go with Koreans yet they definitiely do get the cutest. I've had various girls say that they do / do not pay higher prices. Can anyone confirm?

Can anyone confirm? Many girls (most?) will adjust their opinions depending on what they think you want to hear. This is why they 'prefer' older, fatter, whiter guys, right? Korean soaps and Korean boy bands are extremely popular with Pinays. These boy bands are usually chosen for their cute, gender neutral appearances. A lot of girls must obviously find them very desirable. The main complaint I have heard is that often they show little interest in Filipinas, preferring taller, slimmer, smarter, more intelligent, and certainly more educated and sophisticated, Korean students attending language schools in P I.

1) The main street is Rizal Ave. I like Palawan because it is eco-friendly; Honda bay tour and Sabang underground river were nice. There is no litter; hardly no beggars; and the trikes don't rip you off. Tour guide said crime is the lowest in the Philippines.

2) The Phoenix KTV is on a road south from Rizal across from the chain link fence of the airport. Most trikes should know it. The girls wore bikinis under a negligee. Girls dance on a stage in the middle. Girls were on the ugly side. 4s and 5s; 275 ladydrink; 3000 pesos barfine. I asked the mamasan if that was ST or LT. She said it was up to the girls. WOW! An honest mamasan. There were several locals and 3 White guys there at 9:30.

3) There is another girlie bar called Copacabana (sp?). From Phoenix, you continue south for couple of minutes. More ugly girls. Girls wore regular clothes in an outside bar. There was only 1 local at 10 PM.

4) The most upscale seems to be Equus KTV on Rizal Ave. There were nice cars out in front. Just several locals in the bar. It was dark; girls had regular clothes; girls don't dance on the stage. Mamasan came over and said she will call the girls for me to choose. I asked her to get the cutest ones. 2 came over; they were 5s. She said the barfine was negotiable.

5) There are several small outdoor KTVs on Rizal Ave. The girls are even more ugly. I asked the girl out in front at Art Venue KTV (?) if barfines were available. She said yes.

6) Was told there is a girlie bar called Golden Light (?) 45 minutes away.

7) Quality of girls was disappointing. Didn't see any Koreans in the girlie bars. Was told that direct flights from Korea to Puerto Princesa is going to start pretty soon. Now before some of you bitter ex-pats complain, I think that is going to improve the nightlife. You have to understand the concept of supply and demand. Cute girls are not going to work at places where there is low demand for their services. When the hordes of Koreans come to Palawan, the demand will be there for cute girls. Then maybe decent looking girls will come to Palawan. You just have to get there early to pick them up before the Koreans.

There is no litter; hardly no beggars; and the trikes don't rip you off.I spent some time in Palawan last month. It was a nice place and I would have enjoyed a bit more time there. I did get taken to one of the clubs by some Filipinos who were staying in my hotel but as you say the pickings were very slim. Actually in the case of the place I was at there was only one lady working and she was far from slim.

The trike drivers pissed me off big time. The price for a local in Palawan is 8 pesos. Foreigners are quoted 40 pesos by every driver. I walked away from many drivers to negotiate but the best price I got was 15 pesos with the driver trying to change the price once he had delivered me back to my hotel.

I did meet a DIA lady while I was there. Although she had agreed to travel with me when we chatted online she changed her mind as soon as I sent her a text message saying I was in town. We did eventually meet for supper and then enjoyed some entertainment at a local establishment but that was as far as it would go. We have chatted online since then and she admitted that she had never met a foreigner so was quite overwhelmed. A nice lady and I would meet her again to have another try if I am ever back in Palawan.

After 4 days in Boracay it's very easy to write down a FR: nothing to talk about.

The Cocomangas is rocking with tourist, and there are some FL next to the bar near the entrance. But they are hardly doable while asking money sky high.

Spent a 3 day weekend in Sabang and it was indeed entertaining. Not in a great way. I did notice the crazy ratio of Koreans to everyone else. At least 1:1. They would all (10 to 15 in large chain-smoking groups) head to the bars at 7:00 PM. And shortly thereafter (also as a group) stagger back to their resorts with the evenings catch. (that said, I wouldn't say they were taking all the lookers. The real stunners seemed to be with the oldest members of the group, the relatively younger ones were clearly herding livestock; which I considered a public service.) From our friends hotel lobby we would watch this migration, every day, just after sundown.

Luckily, I brought my own with me. And she (my girl) was looking for a little adventure pussy so on the first night we tried our luck at Coco Lips and Sabang Disco at 9:30 PM. Coco Lips was juts plain sad. I have never seen such an undesirable gathering of bored dancers since my last visit to Nana Plaza. The average customer age had to be pushing 65+. It was less like a bar and more like an adult day-care center. (apologies to my brothers over 65, I know we all look in the mirror and still see ourselves at 25) Sabang disco was a little better in terms of selection. However, we were with friends and decided to punt on the take-out until later in the weekend.

On our second night. We gave the Sabang Disco another try and found a nice little 18-19 year old package. However; she had never been with another girl before and claimed to be on the rag. We did get her number, we did not get the stunning little Japanese looking girl we had our eyes on. (too bad. Talking to a smashed Korean) Instead, we wound up focused on the drinking and wound up at a friends house chatting in to the evening.

On the final day. My girl txt's the cute package from the bar and asks if she can bring a friend by the hotel, just for me. My girl woke-up to find that Aunt Flow has come to visit her. (perfect timing) It was mid-afternoon, seemed like fun and while I always prefer to play with my girl in the mix a little 1:1 couldn't do any harm. With my girl on the rag. Things weren't looking good anyway.

Cute package shows up with a chunky 18 year old who really looks like an experienced 17. When I come out of the shower she covers her eyes and backs away in fear. Chatting like crazy to her friend, and then the both of them to my girl.

Apparently, this girl "only goes with Koreans". And she was freaking out at the size of my cock.

Now. I'm not one to brag, I think my little solder gets the job done (6. 5".7" when measured optimistically) But I've never seen a girl back away in fear from it. I'd be a little less weirded out about a giggle perhaps. So after some clucking in Tagalog we wind up sending them packing. I didn't want to deal with an inexperienced girl brought up on entertaining men with low expectations. That evening we headed back to Sabang and Philippines Disco. Nothing worth taking out; opted for a good nights sleep instead and caught the 10:00 AM boat back to Batangas, and then on to Manila.

I don't blame the Koreans, and I won't say Sabang sucks. And we had a great time (all things considered). The prices for food were higher than Makati. Rooms were cheap, it was a real mixed bag across the board. I'd go back. I'd leave my expectations at home, and time it around my girls cycle.

Cheers, SA

I haven't read much about Legaspi on this forum but reading my Lonely Planet guide it says "Legaspi City is a noisy, convoluted maze of street stalls, market stalls and girlie bars". Is this true, or is it just a case of the reporter jumping to conclusions because they saw a few short skirts? I will be in Legaspi for a night or two, so if you did have any recommendations, I would visit and post a field report.

I also plan to visit Coron. It will be a change of gear after Manila and Angeles but I still hope to find some nightlife. I have read a few reports on this thread about Planet Hollywood and a few videoke bars that I hope to explore.

Anyone have any further details?

Yesterday I went to the bar complex in Iloilo. Stayed at Club21. Even it was Monday, there where lots of students. Next to my table I invited two young pussies to pizza. I always wonder how easy it is in the Philippines. She told me she has got a Korean boy friend (I assume he is paying a lot for her) , but after a couple of drinks her tongue was in my mouth. We had a good night in my hotel, and her girl friend was waiting outside.

To live there. It is going to "blow up" for sure. But I do not think any old monger.

Just my 35 year tourism professional opinion.

I do know quite a bit about tourism, actually, and I'm willing. Where the tourism dollars come, the girls will follow, I would expect. I have a friend who owns a bar there already and it's starting to do very well for him, despite the fact that he lives out of country and is entirely dependant on locals he's hired to run the place for him. Was hoping others might be able to share some specifics regarding property ownership there.

Thanks for the input.

I cannot help thinking, as a 15-year resident of the Phils, that the returns on ANY investment here (even near El Nido in Palawan) , will be very low and even a high risk no matter where you invest.

I bought a condo in Manila to live in without reference to investment. It is very well situated, close to 4 large malls, an attractive 3 BR property that I have also upgraded to make it more comfortable for me. On today's prices I can expect a sale price virtually the same as the price I paid 7 years ago (if I wanted or needed to sell), but of course I have saved around 7M or 80,000 php per month in rent over 7 years. I just use this example as an indicator that prices do not appear to be moving up very rapidly if at all.

I have stayed in El Nido and it is spectacularly beautiful but, as Cheapy said, it has no nightlife, since my perception is that people who go there want seclusion, quiet, a beautiful environment in which to relax.

I would wonder how you could have building and / or maintenance done on any property there without having a lot of capital to fly materials in or rent-a boat or hire competent builders or whatever. I don't know what time frame you are considering for investment but my guess is that you will need a very long time to realise a return (I am thinking 10 to 15 years).

El Nido as has no nightlife and last time I was there there were still electricity restrictions in the morning. Yes its great place to build a resort if you are prepared to put lots of cash in it but for condo or something smaller I think you are wasting your time. First I doubt you will find anything suitable (remember as foreigner you may not purchase land) second even if you do it will take 10-15 years for you to see any real returns as most foreigners that do visit prefer the resorts and use the town as a transit point at best.

Like RK said El Nido isn't the easiest or cheapest place to get to either.

Look into the major cities for investment.

Definitely / somewhat correct.

I just came back from drinking in Sabang. I didn't barfine as I planned.

I was going to bafine this girl at Venus (I barfined her 2 days ago). I got to that street at 7 PM. But I decided to have a drink at some other bar to see how the quality was. I had a beer and went to Venus at 7:20.

I saw about 5 Koreans take out about 10 girls (the cute ones of course). My girl was already barfined. Oh well; you snooze, you lose. I don't hate them for that. I just have to be smarter next time. The girlie bars open at 7 PM; I just have to get there at 6:59 PM.Alternatively just get her number and shoot her a few texts before work and in the first hour she starts. Confirm a time you will drop by. She'll (usually) wait, especially if she liked you in any way.

Sad to see an increase in BF. 2000 was a good deal (1k to the bar. 1k to the girl).3, 000, well it ain't bad I guess but still a sharp old hike.

Koreans do appear to be taking over. Pity as they are doing to their rep what the Brits did to theirs in Ibizia / Majorca etc in the 80's and 90's. Still, the upside is they are home by 8pm even if perhaps some of the nicer girls are gone.

And someone asked why the girls prefer Koreas:I was told because of the 3 threes: the pay 3k, have 3 inches and last 3 mins. Compared to me the ugly white guy it is pretty appealing!

You are always at the whim of forces that you can't control.Option 1, finding a suitable partner in the Philippines in which to put land-property ownership.

I would only undergo option one if the foreigner was married to a filipina and the marriage is based on long-term love not on convenience. Forget the GF, buddy, business partner, bank manager or lawyer route as relationships in the Philippines that often seem rock solid have a way of going bad once money is involved.

Dangle a property worth several million pesos (or more) infront of a local and tell them you will draw up a non-legally binding contract and oh by the way I will just use your name on the title deed and see how long things stay solid. Just long enough for you to build a very nice house or business only to find out the person who legally owns the land-property because his name is on the title deed Has decided you no longer matter. Then has the PNP and court system remove you from said property and warns you if you return prison awaits. Ya, real good option.

Option 2, making a lease agreement with the land-property owner.

While this can be a viable option for land-property use, and some have been successful at doing this, they are the exception to the rule and many many foreigners have learned the hard way this option is not a good one.

First you have to understand that whoever claims to be the rightful owner of the land may in fact not be the real owner even if that person is paying the land taxes on the property. Record keeping in the Philippines dealing with land ownership and title deeds is a mess and often discovering who exactly owns the property is almost impossible in some situations.

That being said, the lease agreement can succeed in some instances. The lease can be up to 25 years (never 99 years) , extendable for another 25 years if BOTH PARTIES ARE AGREEABLE. In order for the lease to be binding on third parties (Heirs, buyers, etc) the lease must be annotated on the title at registrar of deeds. The lease can be drawn up in any manner agreeable to both parties. It can be made transferable, assignable, subleasable, etc, as long as it is done properly, and annotated on the title at the registrar of deeds.

The problems often occur if the person you make the lease agreement with is NOT the sole owner or sole heir to the property. Making a lease agreement with only one heir means the other siblings and-or family members can make a claim on the property at any time and that means the original lease agreement is NUL and VOID. If the owner of the property suddenly dies that means the lease agreement is in theory broken and you could find yourself on the wrong side of the gate with all your things looking in.

The law implemented in 1974 by then President Marcos is PD 471 and still applies today for issues dealing with foreigners leasing land-property.

Pitfalls are many dealing with lease agreements and using a good lawyer is paramount to success but nothing is 100 percent.

Option 3, invest in your own Philippine corporation and have the corp retain the ownership.

Again, see option one for advice on this subject. I would only undergo this option if you have met and married a filipina for love and have a long-term commitment with her. Although creating a corp to hold land-property ownership means the filipina in theory automatically has to possess 60% of said shares in the corporation. A foreigner creating a corporation must show the division of ownership in the corporation when registering the corporation. A Filipino (a) must hold atleast a 60% ownership role in the corporation for the corp to get official status. That takes you back to square one, and option one.

In the Philippines it is illegal to create a shell corporation for the purpose of land-property ownership and you open yourself up to forfeiture of the land-property if ever there is a dispute about ownership, bringing you back to option one.

If you open a legitimate business that creates 50 local jobs and you invest minimum 200k USD or if creating "advanced technologies" (IE call center jobs) the minimum investment drops to 100k USD, you get some increased foreigner ownership rights dealing with land-property. There are some additional restrictions to outright foreigner ownership that requires legal advice.

The foreign investment act of the Philippines RA 7042 and amended by act 8179 in 1996 deals with this topic.

I haven't seen anything in this forum on Bohol (except a vague report that there are bars there) so this might be a first. I went to Solid Gold, which is a KTV in downtown Tagbilaran City (ask a trike driver to take you). The following info is all from my bar fine, so take it with the grain of sand that it is from a single source. The authorities will not allow dancing so this is a "real" KTV (with karaoke) and my girl did sing two songs (5p each). There was not even a stage, she sang from her seat. She said that there was a private room but no sex was allowed in it. A single lady drink was about 160p (and they did have doubles).

She told me that there were 3 other bars in town but they were all smaller, having 4-5 women each. Sold Gold has about a dozen women although I only saw around 6 the short time I was there. I would say all the women were 4-6's. The bar fine was 1700p for ST; LT is 2000p. No extra to the girl is required but mine did ask for cab fare. Service was rushed but adequate.

Hi all,

Reading on here that things are a bit thin on the ground in Coron, but I'm planning on giving it a shot anyway. Does anyone have any accommodation recommendations. Would hate to find some talent then have problems getting them back into my room!

As a thanks, here are some pics from my last AC trip.

Flash floods in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. I visited a gf once lived in a shanty town in CDO, next to the mouth of the river. All of them were at best a foot higher than the river level. Sheet, sucks to be them.

Purchasing property in the Philippines can be more complicated than previously outlined below.

Unlike almost all other countries operating under the Torrens Title system, in the Philippines, there are four legal sources of title to land.

So you, or your wife / gf etc may hold a legal title, but if some senator likes the look of your place, he can have a legal title to the same property raised in his / her name.

He then claims the property and argues the case in court. You will never win this argument.

In a test project in Quezon City a few years ago, a shop owner was found who was paying rent to three owners, all of whom claimed to have the legitimate title.

Anyone have any further details?Legaspi is a bit boring and not as bad as described in your quote.

There are a few bar / restaurants in Albay at Penaranda Park. Or you can head to Embarcadero at Legaspi Port. There are more bars and restaurants there.

Girlie bars have been mostly banned from the city. For some action you will want to go to Lady Anne. It is located near the north east end of the airport runway. It features some gogo style dancing on a central stage. There are quite a few nice girls you can invite to your table and buy a San Mig. More action can happen on site. Not sure about take out or bar fine. I was there with family members so my options were limited to try out the offerings in more detail.

But, cross the road for the beach (the other side of the road belongs to the hotel) and free shuttle to the Mall, and stay away from the hustle and bustle of the area around D Mall. Look up Boracay Beach Club!

Quite and nice pool and good service. And they package in a in-room massage as well.

i arrived here yesterday from cebu, together with a carry-on and a small checked bag that wouldn't fit into the overhead rack of the tiny, cramped cebu pacific plane. no matter. the flight was only 45 minutes and my bags and i arrived intact. one night at the tavern hotel with a seaview room wasn't bad. the place is basic but clean and the oceanfront terrace attached to my room was serenity itself.

however, as i write this from the airport waiting area, having checked in for the flight back to cebu, i find my serenity disturbed by the check-in from hell. understand that the airport is about as big as a good size living room, so space is at a premium for the two or three flights a day that serve this miniscule city on the northernmost tip of mindanao. a crowd of at least 5 people (maybe 4) was waiting for the narrow, closet-size door to open that would allow passengers inside to begin the check-in from hell experience. the guy guarding the door, in his perfervid desire to prevent terrorist acts, or perhaps just to demonstrate his bloated sense of self importance, scrutiized tickets and ids like they were the rosetta stone and he had just discovered the archeological treasure, of the century, thus turning what should have been a ten second per person process into a minute or more. once the rent-a-cop had bestowed his grudging approval, we proceeded to baggage xray and metal detection screening; except wait a minute,"we used to have an x ray machine and a metal detector but they've been broken since the beginning of the millenium." so, hand inspection and "body search" were the hallmarks of the day, thus turning what should have been a ten second, tolerable experience into three or four minutes from hell.

the inspector; a full-fledged police officer, meticulously went through all of the items she found, though she missed an entire compartment, and then apparently found me fit for travel. two minutes later, boarding pass in hand, i proceeded to the "departure hall," lovingly cooled by a fan that would be more appropriate to a small bedroom. but wait! i wasn't allowed to sit on the lovingly crafted php50 plastic seats before passing "final inspection," which is located about 2 meters from the "preliminary inspection." what a surprise! the xray machine and metal detector were broken here as well, so re-open the luggage and the hand-carry. this time, they confirep001ed a lighter, sternly admonishing me that lighters weren't permitted, while obliviious to the other 3 lighters packed in my hand-carry.

geexact same procedure 2 years ago, and 5 years ago. five years ago there were only 3 flights per week (not per day). the initial entry wasn't as bad as you describe, but there was no x-ray machine or metal detector. two nice older ladies opened both my suitcases, took out every item (including toiletries) , and hand-inspected everything. it was about 5 minutes watching them eyeball my stuff, including my toothbrush (as if a white man's mouth somehow differently effects the shape of the bristles). and, they did not use medical rubber gloves (who knows how often the wash their hands). once inside, i found only 5 other passengers passed into the "departure hall" area (one was kano) , and my luggage (like yours) , had to be opened and hand-inspected again. yawn. at least in the butuan airport there are two evap-coolers cranking away.

I empathize with you GE.

And still they ignore everything foreigners say and suggest about how to make it "more fun in the Philippines".

I just wish some enlightened Filipino soul with senior credentials in TOURISM would invite people (seriously) to suggest ways to make things different (which means better).

If they started with airports that would be good.

I live here. I plan to stay here. I just hate the "head-in-the-sand" attitude.

She told me that she had been taught that the country is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. When I contradicted this assumption by pointing out that in fact the country had one of the lowest tourist attraction rates in Asia, andd in fact received less than a quarter of the tourists that Thailand does, she shook her head and insisted that I must be mistaken. These folks are delusional, and belong to the "If I say it often enough sooner or later it may be true" school of management. The tourism infrastructure here is pathetic.

GEI have had similar experiences in Ozamiz, everything broken and security hand inspecting my things while all the locals looked to see what the foreigner had inside his bag. Amazingly some slightly larger airports like Davao and Bacolod are just big enough to have found a way to streamline the check in and security experience so no "checkin from hell" there.

It's more fun in the Philippines as the slogan says, just have to take everything as it comes and accept that things are often backwards and hopelessly frustrating but it is what it is, a third World Country.

If filling out a million forms and getting a million more photocopies of those same forms, then waiting around in lines all day, only to be told go to the 4th floor department of redundancy department to file makes anyone happy, it doesn't. Sucks to see things so messed up, but it's there way of life. It's the way they do things and while it's not perfect by a long shot, it works for them. I just accept it and I am beyond the point of trying to understand why.

Just a quick update on PG. A lot has been posted recently so I won't repeat those but will just add the following:

PG generally is attracting many more non asian couples and groups of Western girls. I saw many more white BF / GF or groups of girls on this trip. Some of the white chicks were an easy 8 or 9. Hoewever none were P4P.

Rates have stabilised at 1500 plus 1500 with discounts available for longer stays or bulk buys.

Broadway has been turned from one of the best bars with great girls and atmosphere in to a dark featureless live band bar with no WGs. Just keep walking straight past it. The girls from the Broadway have supposedly relocated to Hammerhead but I couldn't find any old aquaintences. I have no idea why they closed Hammerhead for months for "remodelling". Nothing has changed.

Coco Lips (aka Pink Panther) and Las Vegas disco were very much the lower class bars full of girls well past their prime. New owners have seriously upgraded the vibe of these places. Coco was full of plenty of 7s and 8s. Apparently there is a pool table and ST rooms up stairs. Vegas has some great fun girls and if the mood is right will put on strip shows (however, this seems to be more spontaineous than a reqular schedule). For the anti Koreans this bar seemed to attract the least.

I've noticed that many of the girls on previous trips have left town to be replaced by new stock. The new girls appear to be well trained but having said that sometimes familiar territory is nice too.

I always enjoy PG and this trip was no exception. Again, some of the best girls with incredible, fun attitudes.

I recently spent 16 days in northwest Luzon. I'm considering the Phils as a potential place to retire at the end of the year, so toured around Pangasinan, La Union, Zambales, and Benguet provinces in search of the perfect locality. I can't say I found paradise, but I decided that San Fernando, La Union is a pretty good place to start. It's a medium-sized city with nice beaches, low prices for housing, decent shopping, close to Baguio and its temperate climate, and only a 6 hour bus ride from Manila.

I used Dagupan, Pangasinan for my base of operations and spent 9 nights there. Westerners are very rare in that city and I received lots of stares everywhere I went. People were very friendly when I made the effort to initiate dialogue with them. I was looking for the "real Philippines" on this trip and wanted to stay away from cities with a large western presence. Dagupan has nothing interesting for a tourist, but I found it a suitable place to be as I traveled by bus during the day.

Unfortunately, I found it's tough but not impossible to find paid companionship in Dagupan. I was fortunate in meeting a local 28 year old lady by chance at a Jollibee and we hit it off really well and she took good care of me in all ways. But she couldn't be with me every night due to having to take care of her children, so I was on my own a few nights.

Dagupan has very little nightlife. By 9 pm the city streets are pretty devoid of traffic and I only saw three music clubs in town. The Quattro bar on Del Pilar near the Dunkin Donuts, Padi's Point located on A. B Fernandez near the Mercury Drug, and the Music Warehouse on Perez Blvd.

I only saw a couple of KTVs, which were located north of the Nepo Mall on Del Pilar road which heads north toward San Fabian. I struck up a conversation with a local guy who told me there is only one girlie club in town, called the "808". Apparently it is located over near the Music Warehouse club, but I never checked it out.

I stayed at the Luxor Hotel, located about 200 yards from the Nepo Mall. 875 pesos a night for a somewhat spartan room with a double bed, but it was clean, had a lot of TV channels, fast internet and cold air conditioning. There are a handful of trike drivers which hang out along the main road in front of the hotel. One night, one of the drivers asked if I was looking for a girl. I told him maybe, and asked what the price would be. He said he could bring me a pretty college student for 2500 pesos. Normally I might have pursued the matter, but I had no need for paid companionship while there so I declined to negotiate.

One day I took the bus to the city of Alaminos, located in Western Pangasinan. Its claim to fame is that the Hundred Islands National Park is nearby and I highly recommend spending a day there cruising around on a small pump boat. It cost 1800 pesos a day to rent the boat and captain, but I made friends with a Filipino family who was waiting to board a boat and I split the cost with them. A very enjoyable day.

On the way back to Dagupan, the bus passed by a series of beach resorts between the municipalities of Sual and Labrador. The best of these is Covelandia, which has a nice pool, water slide, large restaurant and bar area, and nicely landscaped grounds. Overpriced at 3500 pesos per night. But there are other smaller beachside resorts that I checked out that cost anywhere between 600 and 1500 pesos per night. The surf is pretty high so it's not a great place for swimming. In fact, it appeared pretty darned dangerous to me.

The reason I bring this area up is that after passing these resorts, the bus stopped at a lonely bus stop out in the middle of nowhere and picked up a man and woman. They took a seat near mine and after a few minutes we started talking. The woman's name was Stephanie, a reasonably attractive 40-ish gal, and I was shocked to find out she was Brazilian. Apparently she had married a Pinoy 20 years ago but he died 12 years ago. She decided to stay in the Phils and became a business owner. She is the proprietor of an establishment called the "Chateau Europe Bistro", housed in a bright blue building along the highway to the west of the town of Labrador.

She described her place in glowing terms as a nice place for people to hang out and eat and drink. I wasn't all that interested until she mentioned that female companionship was available there too. Then my interest was piqued and I asked her questions about her operation. She houses around 20 girls. Most of them are from the Visayas region and all are between the ages of 19 and 25. It's more like a KTV, where you can sit with a girl and buy ladies drinks for 140 pesos and do the videoke thing. Take out cost 2000 pesos and the girl will stay with the guy until the morning. She says she has a lot of clients from the local resorts, which makes sense because her operation sits out in the middle of friggin no where. She says she has them blood tested each week for STDs. I have no reason to doubt her, but a part of me was suspicious of the claim. Regardless, I'm not a barebacker so it wasn't an issue for me.

I was getting tired of Dagupan so two days later I left and checked in at the Covelandia Resort. At around 9 pm I went out to the main gate and told the security guards I wanted to go to the "bistro". They smiled and told me there were many good looking girls there. I asked them if there were similar places in the nearby town of Sual and they said companionship was available there but the women were old and ugly, haha.

It took a while to flag down a trike, but eventually I ended up at the bistro. As Stephanie promised, there were plenty of girls available, I'd guess around 12. No stunningly beautiful ladies, but they were average or better. Looked a lot like the typical fare at the Manila Bay Cafe. They were dressed in casual clothing: jeans or shorts, slippers, and tank tops. But there were no fatties in the group, and all the ladies seemed pleasant.

There were about 10 other guys there (all Pinoy) , but a lot of them came just to drink and sing. Steph said 4 of the girls had been barfined earlier in the evening, but there were still plenty of suitable women for my choosing.

Steph brought them all over in a line and they introduced themselves to me, one by one. I can't remember the name of the girl I chose, but she was 19 years old with no kids from Nueva Ecija province. It was a nice low key atmosphere there. No pressure at any time, and I had a lot of fun. My beers were 40 pesos and the ladies drinks were 140. After a couple of drinks my girl started to get comfy with me and got really friendly, cuddling in close, french kissing, and rubbing my cock through my pants. There was no way I was going to let this girl get away, so after a couple of hours I paid the 2000 bar fine (all inclusive, no additional payment necessary except optional tip).

Not much to say about the nighttime activities. One pop that night and another in the morning. Lots of DFK and the BJ was more than adequate. She did ask if I would do her without the condom. I asked her why and she said she has always wanted a baby with blue eyes. Well, I don't need a band of Little Joe's running around the Phils, so I declined, haha.

In retrospect, I was certainly surprised to find such a place out in the middle of nowhere. I guess you never know when opportunity will knock on your door.

Very detailed report, nice job.

If you are seriously considering retiring in Luzon I suggest you visit and spend serious time there during the rainy season, roughly July to November when heavy rain and typhoons are common. They hit Luzon hard. Flooding and power outages that last days are the norm in some sections of Luzon.

The Philippines is now into the Summer season with mostly nice hot dry weather. Visit when a typhoon hits Luzon and then decide if it's a place you can retire in.

You also commented about the lack of foreigners and things to do. Most guys who retire in Luzon live around the Subic-AC area for just that reason. Only the guys who marry a woman from the Province choose to locate themselves that far away from civilization and most go stir crazy after a few years with only a select handful of other foreigners to talk with (if you are lucky) and nothing to do all day but sit around and watch the buko grow. Unless that's exactly what you are looking for.

Thanks for the great report joe. I plan to retire the same area, but still have about 10 years to go. Warm rain doesn't bother me.

Near by beach, a sweet filipina, and semi regular internet access is all I need.

Nothing to do all day but sit around and watch the buko grow. Unless that's exactly what you are looking for.

Unless that's exactly what you are looking for.Stroker is spot on with his assessment.

I lived in Nthn Luzon on the eastern side for 6 months in 2005 while I was in between assignments and while I was negotiating to buy my condo in Manila. At that time the internet was not as accessible as it is today and so I travelled in to the major city each day to an internet cafe where I could wire in my laptop and do my work negotiation for an hour or so each day.

The rest of the time I went crazy for something to do. Read 100s of books. Installed a cable TV dish on the roof. Wandered for miles around the fields. And, most importantly, sat through a huge typhoon that came through at one time and ripped every leaf off the trees around our house.

There is no way I could live there (yet). I am too interested in travel; I need (and want) to keep working. I suggest for those who want to settle in a place like KEJ describes go there for a few months in the "off" (typhoon and rain season as Stroker says) and certainly long enough for the "novelty" of living amongst such wonderful people to wear off and then see how you still feel after that.

I met an English guy in Bohol a few months ago. He just recently retired, rented a house for 1 year and learned to Scuba dive. His plan was to live there for a year and then decide what to do. His thinking that a year was enough to see the good weather and bad, the high season and the low, etc. I will catch up with him later in the year and see what he learned.

Just spent a coupe of days at Sabang. I was suprised on the number of birds in the 6-8 bars, plenty of youngies and most numbers of birds I have seen smoking ever. Please sit now down if standing. Bar Fines are 3000P. 1500 to bird. 1500 to bar. Only got 1 bird whilst there and she had the hide to ask to go home early after first root. I told if she goes it will be in a pine box (coffin). Bloody hell.

SnowHave anyone thought about Kota Kinabalu (KK). The flight from Manila / Clark is very cheap to make short jaunts to Phils. The weather is much better, a little bit more expensive, but definitely a little bit more upscale. Much more safer. In fact safer than living in Los Angeles. The thing is, if you are looking for mongering activities, there is little to none. But definitely you can fly your honey in for short stays from the Phils. It is very quiet and laid back. And you have all the technology you would ever need. Just a suggestion.

Been in and out of Bacolod for about four months now, haven't done all that much mongering but I thought I'd report for those who might be headed this way.

Primary spot in town for all things monger is Goldenfields' complex. In one of the most bizarre configurations of business zoning I have experienced, this area encompassing several blocks at the south of town includes a family waterpark, bowling alley, some regular restaurants and bars, a casino-hotel, some regular hotels, and about 15 or so girlie bars. There's a couple massage / spa / salon places there too. I took the GF's family including about seven kids to the bowling alley a couple weeks ago. The fact that I was fucking a gogo dancer across the street a few months back sort of made me laugh / think WTF. Oh well. It's the Philippines. Don't expect shit to make sense here.

The skinny: Girls at the Goldenfield's bars are ridiculously expensive. I was told 3000 to the, bar 1500 for the girl. Most bars have a two drink minimum, drinks are 50 pesos whether san mig, juice, water, and there is a floor show with women of various attractiveness in varying states of undress. Lady drinks are insanely high. 300 to 500 pesos or more, be careful.

The floorshows can be quite fun if odd, I've seen a fat sad 5 wiggle around fully clothed and within 15 minutes same bar a memorable 9 humping the dancefloor naked. The bars are different enough to merit walking in to a couple until you find one you like.

Also to do:

There are a couple of all-night massage parlors on (I think) 6th street across from the lagoon park. You have to go down the street a little they're on the north side, just a couple of place that say 24 hour thai massage or some shit like that. I didn't partake as I was with the GF, but we both laughed when we went in and then quickly out looking for a legit massage. The girls were VERY pretty, sadly I can't say what was on offer as I didn't partake.

As far as I can tell, there is NO streetwalker action, some have suggested that there are SW's in front of the cathedral, if so I have failed to detect them day or night in several visits.

Also, in many visits to the three malls here, Gaisano, SM, and Robinson, I have not seen ANY semi-pro's, I go often enough alone looking without the GF that I can say there is NOTHING here like malls in Cebu, or I am blind.

Summary: there is really no reason to go to Bacolod for sex, but if you happen to be stopping by here on the way to Sipalay or something, there are plenty of eager albeit expensive women in the bars in Goldenfield's for the night. Also, you can pick up a hottie for a take-along travel no problem, beware the mama-san though, if you want to travel with a girl don't take her out, meet her the next day. Many are poor provincal girls that would love to fuck and travel for just the experience and some reasonable pesos. The reason the prices here are insane are the barfines not the girls. A lot of single moms here and in all the phils from what I've seen, very sad. Fucking stupid ass Catholics. On the other hand if bareback is your thing, you're in heaven. Until you get an STD.

Most expats just sip a SML and get a number and hookup with the girl the next day. There is a three-tier price system around the complex. Visiting foreigner- pays crazy inflated prices. Local expat foreigner- reduced inflated prices. Locals pay the local rate since they are the ones keeping those bars open and making money not foreigners.

If you pass by late at night you can see guys working hard to net the tilapia. The fish are trucked a few blocks away to the Negros jail to feed the inmates.

Reports of some around the downtown area were not reliable IMO. There is no semi-pro action in any mall around Bacolod. You are not blind. You will get plenty of looks but it's pure curiosity and if you approach a few women and try to talk to them most will giggle but be so shy they will walk away.

I've only visited Bacolod once, in 2010. Perhaps S A88's viewpoint is more accurate, and maybe I just got lucky. First two days I stayed at the Palmas del Mar resort. My assessment mirrors S A's. Decent, but not great. I went to Gaisano Mall, where I became aware that I was being followed at a distance by an attractive women of about 30 yrs old. Other than her, none of the attentiveness that's normal in the large city malls of Cebu, or Manila. Outside, waiting for a taxi, I saw her come out and give me a welcoming smile."Want to join me?" I asked. She assented and soon we were back at the resort, stripping down and her mouth was engaged in exploring my dick. She stayed overnight and seemed quite pleased with the 1000 pesos I gave her. Next day I put in a serious scouting effort at SM Mall. Lots of good looking girls, but none that looked readily available.

I moved to the casino hotel at Goldenfields where their promo rate of 1400 pesos for a deluxe room was a real bargain for a good room and a surprisingly deserted swimming pool. That evening I cruised around the bar complex nearby, but perhaps too early, as they all looked to be almost empty. Earlier, on the street a mamasan had given me the "You like a girl?" offer. Later after seeing no other ready options, I talked again to the mamasan, negotiating a price of 1000 pesos LT, IF she could come up with a slim, good-looking girl. Off she went, soon returning with three attractive options. I chose Jennifer, with the lovely lips and and engaging smile. Good choice, as I was expecting the breasts to disappear with the bra. Instead, she displayed a lovely set of C cups with projecting hard nipples. Young moms can be stacked. Miss Sexy really got into it. Dripping wet pussy and lots of "Oh shit, oh fuck, yes, yes fuck!" I offered her 1000 per day to stay and she readily agreed.

All told, I stayed in Bacolod for five days and it would seem, my experience was beyond the norm. For that, I am grateful.

It used to be 1000 +1000 but as you say, now it is 1500 +1500. I thought they were just trying to rip off a newbie so I started to argue telling them I knew the score, but that was it. Every bar, same deal. That is a 50% hike! I guess they must have all joined the pussy union or something.

Still it is a great combination for diving and extra curricular activity. There was a new bar since the last time I was there (I think) , Coco Lips or something like that, which had some nice ones. The blond fat papasan in the upstairs place (Hammerhead?) was not around, thank god. I hate to see a papasan beg for drinks.

This region has the most spectacular lush green vegetation, being the primary Coconut growing region of the Philippines. Spent a few days at a chicks home, an amazing experience, one I shall not repeat however. The experience affirmed to myself that I could not possibly live out in the sticks of Philippines, I can liken this area to being a 'world apart'. Mongering is scarce on the ground with just a Karoake bar available with several girls. Did not partake as I was with the ball drainer. When the Sun goes down, a quiet decends the town to such a degree one could literally hear a Gecko fart. Too much for this city slicker. The locals appear to sleep from dusk to dawn.

Unisan, a small town of several thousand people, lies on the Kalalayan river mouth, four hours bus ride south of Manila. From Pasay bus station, Manila, one rides a bus to Lucena City. Then change to a minibus taxi. I was meant to stay a week with the chick, but the tranquiltity overcame me, I headed back to Manila.

A lesson learned. If you are planning on settling in any urban area, do spend some time there first before you fully commit.

The photos below display the spectacular greenery.

Is there SW action in CDO? Where?I was wandering around downtown CDO in March looking for bars / KTVs. There were few people on the streets at around 9pm but there were a few clusters of people which were made up of a pimp and 1 to 3 girls he had to offer. A couple of them asked if I was interested in a girl but I wasn't and wasn't impressed with their looks so I didn't get any additional information on prices, etc.

This would be on Rizal and Tiano around Pacana and Borja.

The photos below display the spectacular greenery.I don't want to appear critical Noddy because I am not, but I just wanted to extend some additional commentary to the fact that Quezon Province is nowhere near as "lush" or spectacular as most parts of Mindanao and the south eastern parts of the Visayas. What you photographed is very typical of most areas in the Philippines.

My experience, after 15 years of living and working here and travelling from North to south, is that the Philippines has some of the most beautiful yet diverse scenery and outdoor experiences of anywhere in the world. It is a genuine island paradise.

I wholeheartedly concur with your views about most areas being distressing for anybody who likes the sounds and bright lights of suburbia. I spend around 3 weeks each year in my wife's province and I ensure that I have a heap of books and a loaded Kindle before I go. It is remarkably tranquil, peaceful and recuperative (for 2 or 3 days) but after that I go crazy for something to do other than sitting on the porch reading and counting gecko farts.

Hi,

I'm just new here I just want to make a review of a Massage parlor in PI just to contribute in this website.

I visited Cebu few weeks ago and this was the story!

Very clean inside and great atmosphere. No problem parking and greeted when I walked in. As soon as I walked in she escorted me to the the room.

She started an amazing massage, rubbing my ass and rubbing my cock and balls from behind.

She was very gentle and did not rush the massage at all.

She would tease quite often so I knew there was something to be had here.

On the flip, this continued while I began to feel her tits up.

She started stroking my cock very slowly teasing me close to orgasm, then easing up.

After a few minutes I couldn't hold it any longer and came.

She cleaned me up then massaged me for a bit more then got dressed and she walked me out.

I recommend this Chuva-Chuva Massage 100%

I forgot to bring my camera and they don't allow customers to take pictures inside

SNIP. .By definition, Chuva Chuva or Lingam massage means that you should have expected what you got when you entered. Same for home service places that offer "lingam massage". Lingam means, loosely, phallus or penis in Hinduism. Chuva chuva refers to the same activity.

I am interested to know that the lingam massage places are open again. They were closed in 2010 and again for a period in 2011 because of issues with "health permits" (insert smiley here)

http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleid=596235RK,

Some time ago there was a 'ban' on MP's in and around Cebu City that provided, advertised or endorsed lingam massages. The Cebu City council used the excuse of health permit renewal to make lingam massage a no-no without having to pass a law. Since the 'ban' alot of independent MP around CC have withdrawn any written material that deals with lingam and leave it up to the provider and client.

In the link you provided, lapu lapu city health is trying to regulate a MP location "Chuva Chuva" that is located within Cebu City and regulated by Cebu Cith health. Clear case of one section of government trying to impose there will over another.

There are a couple of places in Malate that specialise in Lingam massage as well as prostate massage. Oriental Asian Massage is one of them.

If you see the word "tantric" in the advert is also usually means additional extras are on the menu.

Freelancers purged from Sabang.

Prior to 4 days ago Sabang had an ample amount of colourful freelance girls. Walk into Big Apple any night and there you would find freelance / independent girls playing billard, drinking, talking to tourists and expats. Having fun, flirting. Those days are finished now. I was in Big Apple last night, now you will find 20 men and the only girls are the girlfriends of a few of the men. Walk the lanes from Smaller Laguna to Tina's restaurant and you will not see a single freelance girl day or night. Over night the hunting / freelance girls have disappeared from Sabang.

Context:

As you may recall about 6 months ago the girly bar owers were given permission by the Barangay Captain in Sabang to raise the BF prices to 3K. That event has proven to have significant impact on foreign tourist numbers visiting Sabang. Of course the damn Koreans still infest this place in increasing numbers, but that is the subject of another report. And BTW, the Koreans do not pay 3K (they pay less) to BF girls from the bars. Again that topic is for another report.

The bar owners are now starting to feel the impact of the 3K BF rate. Less western visitors to Sabang which means less white guys in the bars for BF revenue. And of those who do go to the bar are not interested in paying 250P for a lady's drink. The situation now compounds because the low season is approaching which means less tourist traffic to Sabang in general.

What happened:

I was talking to a friend in Big Apple last night, he told me this.

The owner of Vegas bar, a relative of the Barangay Captain, went to the Captain 'crying' that his BF, lady's drinks etc revenue is down. Business is not good. This is after he deliberately or by accident observed 2 or 3 of his girls in Big Apple a few nights before. So the Vegas bar owner assumed that the reason his business if failing is because the hunting / freelance girls are available for drinking tourists in the likes of Big Apple bar.

In response, the Captain deployed his army of Barangay police to round-up and deport all freelance / hunting girls. Hence no freelance / hunting girls in Sabang now.

Analysis:

Now the non-girly bars are full of men drinking, looking at each other, playing billard with each other. I even see men dancing in Big Apple together last night.

The Barangay Captain (also bar owner) and his bar owner relatives are in panic mode about declining BF revenue so they blame the freelance girls.

There are many sad elements to this situation: The streets of Sabang are now devoid of any colour or life that the hunting girls provided. Often it was a delight walk around and see and talk with the playful flirty freelances day or night. But now, nothing.

The Captain and his relatives have denyied 25plus girls a chance to: earn some peso; meet a generious foreigner; send money to their families.

All this because the Captain and his relatives are afraid of losing 1 peso because they think the hunting girls are to blame.

Conclusion:

Despite the environmental problems here, sky high prices for all things, Sabang is still worth a visit for: diving; eye candy in the bars; and drinking with men in the non-girly bars. But if you visit here in the hope of some casual; spontanous fun with free spirited freelance girls, do not bother with Sabang.

P. S. The above situation happend before about 6 months ago for the same reasons. The hunting girls were deported from Sabang, and the streets were patrolled each night by The Captain's roaming police. I did observe the thugs roaming last night enforcing the no-hunting-girl policy now. And it took 5 months for the freelance girls to start to return to Sabang. So expect the empty streets to prevail here for that amount of time.

Unconfirmed reports from two separate sources.

The Sabang's Barangay Captain allocated resources to installing webcams in the lanes around the girly clubs in central Sabang.

Why? (speculation)

According to my sources, the Captain (owner or Venus Bar) is pressured by other bar owners for solutions to combat deminishing barfining by customers. The bar owners think that the reason customers not barfining the girls is because customers either spend their money with freelance girls or bargirls who are prepared to 'sneek out' for daytime ST meets.

So the logic of installing webcams in the areas around the bars is to:

- identify non-bar girls (freelances) who befriend and partner with foreigners. And then use this information to remove those freelance girls from Sabang, or as some have suggested, force the freelance girls to pay a 'commission' or unofficial licence fee to the Barangay Captain.

- identify bargirls who attempt to establish contact with foreigners during the day and then restrict their daytime activities or fine or otherwise punish them for attempting to conduct daytime ST business.

Of course, the Captain and other bar owners fail to understand or acknowledge the route cause for deminishing BF business is because: a) foreigners and even the koreans are not happy with the 3K BF rate and thus foreigner visitors to Sabang are in decline; be) now is the start of the wet / low season.

But these facts illude the Captain and other bar owners. Rather, the bar owners blame the girls and seek to control the availability of girls, control the price, and control how and with whom the foreigners spend the cash in exchange for fun.

Well, after living in Sabang for some 3 years I can partly justify what you guys been reported. Sabang (and Puerto Galera municipality) is one of the richest places in the whole country, but also one of the most corrupt.

It's not so much about the newly introduced cams, it's mainly about major neglect when it comes to lack of drainage, water and electricity supply and lack of road maintainance. Road between Sabang and Puerto Galera town will probably be inpassable after this rainy season if they don't act.

The best open and 24 hours bars (Eddie's place and Big Apple) stink during low tide, it's hard to have a meal there at times.

Girlie bars would always be slow during low season, and for sure you can make good deals once you have a cell phone and be prepared to wait until next morning or so. And you can still find freelancers daytime.

Hey guys, I am always looking for a little adventure off the beaten path and I love Philippine beaches, especially the more natural ones that are not as developed or touristy as Boracay. Last March I visited Port Barton and San Vincente, Palawan. I really dug it there. In fact I will be heading back to Palawan for the 3rd time in early 2013.

But I keep searching for that perfect beach. Recently I heard there are some great beaches in northern Luzon around Pagudpud and in particular Saud Beach, Agua Seda beach, and Maira-ira Beach (Blue Lagoon). I know it is relatively primative in Northern Luzon and there are no luxury hotels. But that does not bother me as long as the beaches are first rate. Has anybody been up that way? I would really appreciate some firsthand info. I am thinking of a week to 10 day road trip up north with maybe one or two girls.

Here are a couple of shots of Port Barton & San Vicente, Palawan. I really like the unspoiled nature of this area.

Hey NB, how long did you stay in Port Barton and where did you stay? I spent 4-days there and loved it. I stayed at one of the beachside cottages at Deep Gold Resort. I have been looking at some property in San Vincente but have not been there yet. Can you give me some details about the area? Is San Vicenta a town similar to Port Barton? Were there islands close by? Diving? Here's a few photos of Port barton. TW.

I have been looking at some property in San Vincente but have not been there yet. Can you give me some details about the area? Is San Vicenta a town similar to Port Barton? Port Barton:

I stayed at Greenviews in Port Barton for 5 days. I had a beach side cottage (1200p) and I highly recommend the place. The Greenviews restaurant was very good too. The tuna steaks, fish filets, and chicken were great. I found great food in Palawan. The two hotel restaurants at Sabang Beach, Palawan likewise served great fresh fish and other seafood. They don't fuck with mother nature.

Deep Gold is no more. The place is closed down, Maybe you might be interested in buying the property? By the way, what are the laws concerning foreign ownership of real estate. I thought farangs could not own land because they could not hold title. Thus all we can do is buy condos with the condo association holding the title to the land. Is there a way around this because I would really like to own some property on Long Beach, San Vincente.

Long Beach:

You have to go! 14 km of perfect totally undeveloped, open ocean, palm fringed, beach. It is about 3km north of San Vincente. I spent 2 days there. It was idyllic. It reminded me of good times long ago (in the 70's) in Nicoya, Costa Rica. I met two German girls that were camping out there (the only other tourists) , and a handful of friendly locals that lived in simple bamboo huts along the beach under the coconut trees. (Along the entire 14km beach there were no more than 6 fisherman huts.) But this place has not escaped notice. Plans are on the board to build an airport. When the airport comes, so will hotels. This is the last chance to buy beautiful beach front property at reasonable rates. That is if you can.

Port Barton Bay:

As you know, Port Barton is a back packers tourist destination. It is quiet, beautiful and low keyed. I liked the beach, but it is an inter coastal beach and so it is muddy and there is poor visibility. Better beaches are found on the little islands in the bay. Two Canadians and I rented a local boat (barka?) for 1200p and the captain took us around to 5 or 6 islands. Some islands had excellent snorkeling and some islands had beautiful little beaches. Some islands were privately owned by wealthy Filipinos. There is one dive shop in Port Barton. Based on the healthy coral and fish life I saw while snorkeling; I think the diving here should be pretty good. The captain caught some fish and we lunched on a small island with a beach. The entire trip began around 9am and we did not get back to Port Barton until 4:30pm. My back was lobster red.

San Vincente and Long Beach.

The next day, I hired the captain (1200p / day) to take me to San Vincente. San Vincente is very different than Port Barton. It is a sleepy little commercial port / fishing village. There are a couple of pensions, where you can stay if you want to, but the town is not oriented toward backpackers or any tourists. Yet! All that will change when they build the airport. It took about an hour to get there from Port Barton by boat. The inter coastal scenery was great. The captain tied his boat off at the pier and I met this friendly local guy with a motorcycle who offered to take me to Long Beach and back for 150p. Long Beach is walk able from town, but for 150p I had a round trip ride at my disposal. I hung out on Long Beach for 3 or 4 hours. Like I said I really dug it there and returned the next day for more of the same. This would be a great place for some old friends to camp out with a couple of Filipinas and just kick back with mother nature. I would make sure the girls are up for camping out before hand. The local fisherman will gladly cook up all the fresh fish you want, there are plenty of coconuts for drinking, and town, beer, and other necessities are close by. I plan to go back to Long Beach next year.

This is days 11-13 of my Philippines diary. The previous installments can be found on the Manila, Cebu and Angeles threads. I wake up in Angeles.

Day 11, Tuesday: Coron.

I got up mid-morning and packed. My flight to Palawan was due to leave Manila at 4. 05pm so I got a trike to Dao bus station where a taxi driver offered to take me directly to the airport for 1500 pesos. I declined his offer and jumped on to a bus bound for Pasay. The fare came to 129 pesos and two hours later I was in the sprawling concrete jungle of Manila.

From Pasay I flagged a taxi to take me to Terminal 3 of Ninoy Aquino Airport. A few hours later the small Cebu Pacific propeller aircraft I was in was rising in to the sky above Manila. The flight took just 50 minutes and the scenery was spectacular as we flew over the rugged island of Mindoro and then across to Palawan. We touched down at Busuanga Airport as the sun hung low in the sky. The mini-bus ride to Coron Town took 45 minutes.

By the time I arrived in Coron Town it was dark. I found a hotel from my tour book but they didn't have any single or double rooms available. After a long day of travel I wasn't in the mood to shop around so settled on a triple room for 1600 pesos per night. There were three single beds laid side-by-side and the walls were painted bright yellow. It felt like a kids bedroom but I didn't mind. The TV offered a bare minimum of watchable channels but I didn't come to Palawan to watch TV.

Coron Town is a small town next to a busy harbour. I found a sea-food restaurant and had tuna steak for dinner. I was sat on my own, amongst several Filipino families. I had to smile to myself. Here I was in Philippines, early evening, with just myself for company. The night before I had the choice of over 1000 beautiful girls!

Although Coron does have sex venues to explore, I felt tired after a long day of travel so had an early night.

Day 12, Wednesday: Coron.

I spent the day on a boat-trip around the islands of Coron Bay. The scenery was spectacular, the beaches were great and there were lots of tropical fish to see. On the trip there was a feisty Russian girl. She complained a lot and&8200; I could see that other girls on the boat disliked her, but being a typical man I was won over by her large breasts. At one point she asked me to apply sun-tan lotion on to her back which I enjoyed a little more than I probably should have.

The boat arrived back in Coron Town at 4. 30pm and after a change of clothes, I had dinner at Sea View restaurant. The sun-set was spectacular and I admired two gorgeous blond Australian girls sat nearby. They had big muscle-bound boyfriends with lots of tattoos, so I perved discretely. These type of girls (the Russian on the boat or the Australian girls at the restaurant) are unattainable for guys like me back home and yet when I come to Asia I can find far prettier girls willing to lavish me with attention.

I was in the mood to find some action. My research revealed that Coron Town has a small sex scene. The best bet is HARD&8200; ROCK DISCO. From the large public square near the harbour, there is a junction on the corner where most of the trikes congregate. From this corner a road heads uphill towards the National Highway and there is a right turn on to Real Street. 50 yards up this street on the left is Hard Rock Disco. Three girls poked their head out of the door as I approached and called "hello mister". I smiled to them and walked inside.

The time was 10pm when I walked in. As its name suggests, it was just like a disco. Loud music was playing and girls were dancing sexily on the dance floor. The place was very busy. I bought myself a lukewarm beer and sat down at a vacant table against a side wall. The occasional drip fell from the ceiling above and I noticed a few loose wires handing down. It's fair to say that Health & Safety has never been a high priority in Asia.

Most of the tables were taken by Filipino men who seemed to be having a night out drinking beer with their friends. Some of them went on to the dance floor to try their luck with the Filipino girls. The place felt like a regular disco so I wondered how the Filipino men would react to see a foreigner walk out with their favourite girl? I made a mental note to tread carefully.

The place clearly had pick-up potential. There were six girls sat on stools near a small payment counter by the dance floor but the standard wasn't good. Compared to the rich hunting grounds of Angeles, there were slim pickings. There was an overweight girl with big breasts and a few bored looking older girls checking their phones. But it wasn't all bad. A few decent lookers were chatting with some middle-aged Australian men at a table in the middle of the room, who were young with nice figures. One of them was perhaps a 7/10 although it was difficult to be sure in the dark. Overall there were about a dozen freelance hookers.

I was halfway down my bottle of San Miguel when a girl walked over and asked whether she could sit with me. She had a pleasant face and nice curves, so I&8200; pulled up a seat. She introduced herself as Rose and told me that she was 22 years old. She proved to be one of the brightest girls I'the met in Philippines. I complimented her on her immaculate English and she told me that her parents had insisted that she only speak English in the family home as she grew up, to give her a head start so she could get a good job. I asked her how she'the ended up working in Hard Rock and she told me that it was good money and she'the only intended to do it once. She had flown over from Manila and spent two weeks in Coron, making lots of money, but when the mamasan found out that she didn't intend to come back, she offered to pay for her flights in future. This was Rose's third time in Coron. She told me that her mother had been upset when she found out what she was doing ('I had to tell her, I can't keep secrets from my mother') but had supported her and of course was grateful for the money that she was sent. Behind every bar-girl is a similar story.

She told me that like any club in Philippines, Hard Rock is busiest on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. On those nights it stays open until the last customer leaves ('it was open until 5am on Saturday'). Even on a Wednesday night every table was taken by customers while I was there, from 10pm to 11pm.

I enjoyed chatting with Ann. There was a intelligence and inquisitiveness about her, so it didn't feel like the usual gogo girl chitter-chatter ("what you name? Where you from? Where you stay?"). She seemed genuinely interested to find out about me and where I&8200; was from. She also had an enticingly curvy figure so I told her that I'the like to take her back to my hotel. She told me it would cost 2000 pesos for three hours, which tallied with my online research.

I paid the surly woman at the cashier desk and felt the eyes of the Filipino men following me as I walked out with Ann. I needn't have worried, they were fine and some even smiled to me as I walked past.

We got a trike back to my hotel. In places like Manila, Cebu and Angeles, customers walking in to hotels with pretty Filipino girls is commonplace but in touristy places like Coron, the 'walk of shame' is very much alive and well. I got a disapproving look from the young male receptionist as I picked up my key.

We lay on adjacent single beds, chatting. She was so sweet I was hesitant and unsure how to get down to business. It reminded me of having a date back in England, chatting with a girl while wondering how to get in to her knickers. We talked for an hour before she innocently said 'so, what happens now? ' with a cheeky smile. 'You can join me on this bed if you like' I said and 60 seconds later we were kissing.

The girl from Hard Rock had given me a hard cock. I undressed her and she had a curvy figure with generous sized tits. She lay on her back and I slid in to her and fucked her slowly in missionary as we kissed. I gradually fucked her faster, until I was leant upright and pouncing her pussy hard, watching those lovely breasts of hers wobbling with each thrust. You have to be careful fucking a girl on a single bed that you don't fall off. We carefully swapped positions and she rode me to a climax, expertly using her hips while I fondled her lovely breasts.

It was an enjoyable session. She left with a nice tip in her purse.

Day 13, Thursday: Coron.

I spent the day on another boat trip, diving around Japanese ship-wrecks. At one point I saw a giant turtle swimming gracefully in the warm waters. Coron is definitely a nice diversion. While I was walking along a pristeen beach I remembered CJ's request to bring her a shell. I found a pretty one and put it in my pocket.

It was my last night in Coron but I didn't feel inspired to take a girl. I wanted my batteries to be fully recharged for when I returned to Angeles. Coron's scene is sleepy and Angeles is the rock'and'roll sex capital of the world by comparison. I was pleased with myself though. I'the come to a beautiful place for a few days and had a great time. You don't come to places like Coron for the girls, it's a stunning tourist destination with great scenery, great beaches and great diving. The fact that there is a small girlie scene is just an added bonus. Fucking a nice girl in Coron had been the icing on the cake. I'the wanted to dip my toe in the water, so to speak, and I'the managed that.

Coron Town does have other pay-for-play venues. They mainly come in the form of videoke or karaoke bars though, which I'm not a big fan of. Near the corner of the main square I walked past Tythons Videoke Bar. There were rows of blue lights leading up some steps but I didn't enter. I heard it described as "probably your best bet with 10 girls". Apparently there are a few more videoke bars but I wasn't in the mood to look for them. I ate at Sea View restaurant again and watched the sun set. The sizzling squid was delicious and after a several beers I walked back to my hotel.

On the way I walked past two young Filipino's. One was very cute with braces on her teeth but it was her ladyboy friend who did the talking. 'Where you go? ' she asked in a high-pitched voice. I told her I was going to bed. 'Can I come with you? ' she asked and her cute friend elbowed her. She was an attractive ladyboy but I declined her offer. I considered asking her cute friend but decided against it. I needed to save my energy for Angeles.

It's useful to know about places like Coron. Tourist destinations where pay-for-play can be found. Angeles is just 'girls, girls, girls' with little else to do. Another option is Puerto Galera, two hours by road and a short ferry-hop south of Manila. It has nice beaches and half a dozen gogo bars. Sadly Korean's have now discovered it so prices have risen. Why are Korean's so disinterested in paying the correct price? Two years ago the bar-fine in Puerto Galera was 2000 pesos but thanks to their big-spending ways, it is now 3000 pesos. Even so, I had been impressed by the quality of girls on my last visit.

I'the enjoyed my time in Palawan but I was excited to be returning to Angeles tomorrow. I lay in bed and wondered what girls lay in store for me.

Great report Lancelot. Actually, all your recent trip reports have been good reading, but I especially liked this segment on Coron. I plan to visit Coron someday so I am going to copy and paste this info for future reference. Thanks.

The diving around Coron is supposed to be great. I am glad you confirmed this. If you don't mind, I have a few questions: What was the visibility like and how deep did you go? Did you dive and then fly the next day? I would have waited a day.

On the Pinay front: It was really good to hear that there was a bar worth checking out and you found a nice girl. I had some good luck in Sabang, Palawan when I met a very pretty girl from Puerto Princessa visiting the beach for the weekend with her girlfriend.

Gaolei, Batangas is the Coron Island airport.

I personally think that the beaches and scenery are slightly better at El Nido (also on Palawan) but the diving in Coron is the fantastic.

I found the visibility was great although I'm not the most experienced diver so didn't go too deep. I got most of my info from diving websites but I don't think forum will allow me to post a link, so here is some info copied and pasted:

The Cathederal Cave, Kyokuzan Maru and the Black Island Wreck are washed by open ocean water. Visibility on these sites is always over 20 meters. Barracuda Lake and Cayangan Lake are hot geothermal lakes full of ocean water. There is no current in the lakes and the visibility is over 20 meters. The Seven Picados, Pinnacle, Twin Peaks Reef and the Skeleton Wreck are washed by open ocean water before high tide but the water from Coron Bay can reduce the visibility after high tide. Visibility here can range from 7 to 20+ meters.

The "Big Six" wrecks in Coron Bay and two of the gunboats are most affected with changes in visibility caused by tidal flow. The best visibility on the "Big Six" wrecks in Coron Bay occurs every day before high tide. Best visibility can range from 7 to 20+ meters. How good the best visibility will be that day, and how bad the visibility will be after high tide, is determined by the strength of the tidal flow. When tidal flow is strong at New Moon and at Full Moon peak visibility is reduced.

It's been a few years since I've been there. Two areas: (1) Poro Point has a line of bars and clubs with takeout. (2) Bauang Beach, further out from S. F, has small exotic dance clubs, some of them attached to motels for ST rooms. Also takeout.

Hi Guys,

Just come back from Pattaya, great place not as good as 15 years ago but every man with a bit of red blood in his veins should visit at least once. I am going to be in Cebu between Christmas and the new year then heading to Boracay. I have been to Cebu once before but never Boracay, any info or tips would be welcome, I must admit I am not sure what to expect be great if it was Angeles city with a beach.

May the force be with you.

I've been to Boracay three times, mainly for the beach. There are no obvious lady bar areas like Pattaya or Angeles. There are some lady bars / brothels, but they are hidden and mainly for locals. A trike driver can take you there. I only went in to a couple of these places for a beer and a look around. I did not partake as I was not impressed by the selection so I could not tell you the prices. Your best bet would be freelancers. Walk along the beach at night and you are likely to be approached. Ladyboys are around, so proceed with caution. Also there are freelancers in the clubs like Cocomangas.

The lilltle booklet found in some institutions (of higher learning) seem to have a few ads for La Union. For some reason I want to say Blue book, but maybe I'm just thinking out my ass as usual. I only went to SF LU once and I have to say I was welcomed with open arms and legs. But that was before some of the ISG members were born.

Barracuda Lake and Cayangan Lake are hot geothermal lakes full of ocean water. There is no current in the lakes and the visibility is over 20 meters. This is an excellent report Sir Lance. I recently made a trip to Coron and found it every bit as incredible as you. I did the opposite and took a date with me. I found the town you mentioned to be a little bit dirty and small. Because of this we stayed out on a small island and truly had a tropical adventure that was relaxing like you can't find very many places in the world. There are 2 higher end places to stay; Island Paradise and El Rio Y Mar. They are both in the opposite direction from the airport. But they are very beautiful, quiet and romantic. There is no internet, phone or cell phone service on the islands. They are a bit expensive, I think El Rio is about 125 a night US and Island Paradise is about 200 US per night. We did a day trip to the lakes mentioned about above. They are absolutely incredible. The views here I don't think you can find anywhere else in the world. I believe the view at the end of the recent "Bourne" movie is shot near these lakes. The end of the day trip is a reef with literally tens of thousands of fish. I am not a scuba diver, so snorkeling is the next best thing to diving on sunken ships. My GF was absolutley amazed and the sex was some of the best we have had.

The scene from the end of the Bourne Legacy is not Coron, it's El Nido (on Palawan but a little further south). I think the scenery in El Nido is even better than Coron and the town itself is on a beach in a picturesque cove, which would make it perfect for romantic dinners if you decided to take a date again. However Coron has better diving and a few more options in terms of pay-for-play. Both are reminiscent of Halong Bay in Vietnam, with the added bonus of better weather and spectacular beaches.

I have noticed in several sites such as Cherry and DIA that a lot of the girls are from General Santos City. Some are real cuties. Why is General Santos not listed in this forum? No offence but have you ever been to General Santos? Full of traffic and not much to do. Not exactly tourism central and accommodation is not great. THere are a few better beaches nearby, esp in Sarangani province but accommodation at these is expensive and the food is not great. Armed guards on the beaches are a reminder that insurgency and the liking for kidnapping are not that far away. Anyway, girls from places like G Santos like to go to other cities to meet foreigners, cities that are far away from the prying eyes of the local gossips and their family. Better to meet these girls in Davao or even in Cebu, especially those college chicks.

Why is General Santos not listed in this forum?I agree with Simian on this, GT. I have been there several times and GenSan is definitely not high on anyone's mongering list. Even cities like GenSan are more like small towns "Where everyone knows your name." A DIA cutie with a 'poreigner' will be a sight of great interest to all and that will be inhibiting, to say the least. Stick to the larger cities, such as Davao, and bus her to where you are based. I suggest sending her! 000 Pesos by Western Union for a return bus fare. This both establishes your interest in her and gives her a sense of security that she can get home again.

Just had a night out in CDO on a Friday public holidays in Philippines. The market and bbq foods stalls on the walking st of Tirso Neri St in Divisoria are excellent and well worth an evening stroll before going to the bars.

I visited 3 bars this evening all a short walk from Tirso Neri St :

De Ja Vu (formerly NuWave or Fantastic) on Cruz Taal st: Entrance girl 200, man 120 including 1 drink each. 12 girls, most cute, all but one were chunky chicks. 1 very sexy but not cute. Arrived at 9am and no girls on stage so staff had to usher them out of the makeup rooms. Eventually 3 danced showing some nudity. Within 1 hour 10 Phil customers arrived. De Ja Vu is a tired old bar with duck tape holding chairs together. Often no girls on stage.

Blush (formerly Bada Bing) on Cruz Taal st: Entrance girl 300, man 140 including 1 drink each. Across the road and upstairs from De ja vu. More sexy girls, some chucky chicks, not as cute as de ja vu. Smaller, cleaner bar with about 15 Phil customers and 15 girls at 10:30. Always has a girl on stage, some nudity.

Syrens (formerly Spooks) on Pacana St: no entrance fee. About 15 Phil customers. 2 foreigners and 15 girls at 11:30pm. Mostly Chucky chicks dancing to love songs. Some nudity. Only 1 sexy cute girl. 5 minutes walk from Blush thru well lit back streets.

We did not find any girls attractive enough to buy drinks or bar fine so don't know the costs of these.

We used the attached map on my blackberry for directions.

Hotel Mullberry is excellent although difficult to book and no web site. I paid by depositing money into Mullberry Phil bank account as I am in Phil at time of booking. Right across the road from Limketkai Mall currently being expanded a lot so lots of construction. Some girls giving me the eye while walking around the mall but I did not engage with any as I already had a girl but should not be hard to strike up a conversation. Some good restaurants a short walk from the hotel for evening dinner and drinks but no girls looking for men.

CDO is not as clean as Davao and quite dusty during the October nights I visited. CDO girls are friendly and nice, attactive but a little chunky on average. Not many cute and sexy girls.

You have summed it up pretty well for the places you visited Snow Koala.

The map you have used was mine posted here about 3 years ago, and there have been quite a few changes in the Club scene, certainly in name.

NuWave on the map, previously Ontic, is now De Ja Vu, and yes lots of pauses between on stage "dancing".

Bada Bing on the map is now, as you say Snow, Blush. More active than most of the clubs, but definitely not a place I would like to be if there is an internal fire (much like Vikings in Cebu!)

Spooks is now Syreens, and still my pick of the clubs; comfortable seats, continual dancing on stage, reasonable entry and drink prices, and no penalty charge if you take your own lady in with you.

Fantastic still exists but it has shifted. It is off the map, about 8 blocks up Tiano Brothers Street, The old place was intimate and good shows (even if the girls spent most of the time preening themselves in the mirror). The new place is barn like, lacking atmosphere, and when I was last there lacking stage action.

New Love Oro still going, but not as good as earlier visits. Comfortable seating, only 8 girls on stage on a Thursday night.

Coras 2 and Coras 3 still roaring, Very basic, small upstairs places catering for the local clientele; plastic seats; 130p entrance inclusive of 3 beers. I don't know why but some cute chicks gravitate to these joints.

Exotic was destroyed by fire. Mics and Mugs now a KTV, Thrives under a new name (which I have forgotten) and opened downstairs. Recently raided and closed by the police but may be reopened.

Gion still going and still seemingly catering for the Japanese and Korean clients.

Colt 39 a new (since the map was drawn) very small and very basic club on JR Borja Street, between Tiano Bros and Velez Streets.

Cagayan de Oro, like Davao, is under a building boom. A new Ayala called Centrio due to open in the next few weeks. And new up-market hotels to more than rival Mulberry Suites are well under construction.

I visited 4 Clubs with others this last weekend.

Syrens (previously Spooks) has the most reasonable entrance, beer and ladies drink prices and there is a good food menu. The on-stage show is continuous but the current set of girls are more on the aged and heavy side for my liking.

Gion, compared to previous visits, was fizzing. A good selection of cuties, prices reasonable. The continuing frustration I have with this Club is the intermittent stage show spaced with fill in music which is then ripped off mid play when the next girl is ready to appear on stage. Replace the disc jockey. Now there is an opportunity!

Limelight is the name of the club on Capistrano Street (opposite the SaveMore supermarket) I previously couldn't remember the name. On my previously posted map it is adjacent to where Thrives was (now a KTV). Only a handful of girls rotating on stage at midnight (some in the VIP rooms) going through their boring routines.

Colt 39 is a small basic club with plastic stackable chairs. Some adventuous young chicks keen for a ladies drink and a trip to the two less than private and somewhat smelly VIP rooms (1600p consumable for 1. 5 hours).

All clubs had the occasional topless and the infrequent pubics on show.

This last weekend the new Ayala Mall called Centrio opened in town. Hordes of sightseeing visitors. And like the new SM Premier that opened in Davao in September many shops are plastic wrapped and sealed with the words "opening soon" on the front. Including the Centrio / Ayala Supermarket and Department Store. The feature of the Mall is the garden with the preserved magnificent Acacia trees. Take a look at this website to get an impression:

http://www.cdodev.com/2012/11/10/random-shots-centrio-garden-night-shots-on-day-1/

Also to open in the next few weeks is the linked high-rise Kukun hotel.

Thanks KK for the updates. Just wondering if this mall might eventually become a happy hunting ground similar to Ayala Cebu? Girls in CDO are more conservative than Cebu and Manila and not used to the lecherous advances of ISG members. So, it's up to us to advance their education. Guys, please realize that a thank you in the 500 P range should be plenty for ST and 1000 P for overnight. If we approach this task responsibly and respectfully, we can open a much needed source in CDO.

I will be in La Union, mostly San Fernando, for a few days soon.

Has anyone been there recently?

Is there any action to be had?

Thanks in anticipation,

It's been a few years since I've been there. Two areas: (1) Poro Point has a line of bars and clubs with takeout. (2) Bauang Beach, further out from S. F, has small exotic dance clubs, some of them attached to motels for ST rooms. Also takeout. How much is the BF / tip / room there?

I'm happy that I'm in the Philippines but on January I HAVE TO visit Bacolod City.

Any tips / tricks on that direction, never been there so any advise would be great.

Couldn't even find much info with the search so I assume it's not the number one destination here.

Since you HAVE TO visit Bacolod City it would help to have some idea about your context so we can help.

Will you be alone? Staying in a hotel? Are you going on business or monkey business? Do you want bars, FLs, massages?

Shot gun requests without focus usually will not get you much information.

Except of Ageless City and Manila are there any places on Luzon that you can recommend? All cities have bars of some sort, but foreigners are not common.

I have been in bars in Tuguegarao, Santiago City, Cabanatuan, La Union, Tarlac, Vigan, Talavera over the past few years just to name a few.

All were fun BUT. I was with 2 or more Filipino guys each time (colleagues and my drivers).

I wouldn't go in any of them alone.

PS. Love your misspelling of Angeles as Ageless. I fear the epithet is inaccurate. Ageless City is showing its age nowadays.

the trip is long and tedious; baguio is now overcrowded with jeepneys and the air is polluted with diesel fumes; as jpf says, it will be quite cold there in february; there is very little night life and it is rep001tered all over the place so you need local knowledge to find it.

plenty of other places to go on luzon closer to manila (such as puerto galera or la union) to name just two. of course, you might try ac too if she hasn't been there.

On the advice of a few on this board, I will be avoiding Baguio and spending a few days in Puerto Galera several weeks from now. So. Anybody have hotel recommendations? I prefer higher quality lodgings, but something that is still girl friendly and not too far from the bars. I'll be with a regular GF who is bi and is very keen on threesomes, so we will be "in the market" so to speak.

A couple places that caught my eye from a quick search are:

* Waimea Luxury Houses (the luxury studio looks nice)

Any experiences with the above hotels? Any other recommendations?

I visited Bacolod for few days and will report now although that is not the number 1 visiting places in the Philippines. Bacolod is only 50 minutes away from Manila and not so far from Cebu. From Cebu you can even drive going to Bacolod, you just need to use those ferries to cross the waterways.

In Bacolod you should stay in Goldenfield area, which is the entertainment center. It's owned by one businessman, all establishments (hotels, bars, nightclubs, restaurants and so on). The whole area is very well guarded and I didn't feel unsafe at any point although I was travelling alone. In Goldenfield you can find maybe around 40-50 girl bars, some are very small and probably for local people but there is also good ones with better quality.

From the bars I would recommend Sweet Lips, it seemed to have nice atmosphere and a lot of good looking girls, they even had every now and then nude dancers doing their own pole show. You can sit a little more far or right next to the stage. As I was one of the rare foreigners there, I had constant flow of girls offering to sit with me. Ladys drinks are very expensive in the whole area (300-350PHP) but otherwise the drinks are affordable San Mig 45PHP and rum coke 90PHP.

I sat alone for about an hour and just watched the show, girls sat next to me for a while but since I didn't buy LDs they went away after a while. Actually it took a while before I found someone I like, I'm picky. Anyway I chose one girl (19yrs) from the stage after the dance show, actually it's nice since you can see the nude body first so there won't be disappointments then later. I sat in the bar until it closed at 3AM, my bill was around 3, 500PHP since I was also offering drinks to the girls. She was funny and nice to talk to. At some point we moved to the last row of tables, which is a little darker and not under the eyes of the people since everybody are looking at the stage and dancers. There I also received a blowjob few times as a thank you for the drinks LOL. I didn't bring the girl with me since she was starting to be drunk already, so I was thinking that she will sleep right away at the hotel. 3,000PHP is the barfine and according to the girl they will get 1, 800PHP cut from it. I left the bar at 3AM and went back to the hotel. After 30 minutes I wasn't sleepy so I walked back to the nearest taxi driver gave him 200PHP and asked him to find me a slim and pretty girl. He came back after 5 minutes with a nice looking girl 8. 5/10, she was slim, I could cover her but almost with my one hand. She had no babies so the body was excellent. When we reached the hotel she offered to get also her friend which I ok. Another girl (21yrs) came after 10 minutes and was 7/10 but what the heck. We had an excellent night together which cost me only 2, 500PHP for the two girls. On the next day I went to SM and when I came back those two girls were waiting for me at the hotel.

We watched tv, I got a massage. Then I asked them to go away for a while so I could sleep, gave 100PHP for the taxi. I will be seeing them again tonight, as this is my last night and we're going to drink for it.

About hotels, all the hotels are girl-friendly in that area.

I would recommend Kundutel, they don't have receptionist at night and the front door only has a guard who is happy to open a door for you with a smile. They are also selling even condoms downstairs in front of the elevator just in case you ran out LOL. I was paying around 1, 200PHP / night and had a nice room with strong and fast wifi, queen sized bed and nice big LCD tv with Skycable channels.

My stay here was too short, there would be still a lot to see as there really are so many bars and 24/7 massage parlors which I couldn't even try due to short stay.

Taxi from the airport to Goldenfield is 500PHP max, if they ask more they think you don't know. From Kundutel short taxi ride to SM or Robinsons mall is around 70PHP.

Anyway, this is my first report although I live in Manila, so I apologize already if it's not so clear and doesn't contain any pictures, I forgot to take any for some reason.

I will be reporting later on more regular basis.

Thanks and good luck.

Goldenfield is a strip-mall setup and the yes the building is owned by one businessman, but the bars are not. Maybe 25-30 bikini bars max, and FYI the bars are there for locals not foreigners. Very few foreigners barfine because of the dual price structure and most find a date or GF online. The bars are geared towards serving locals, they pay the bills and keep the lights on.

I'm white, caucasian but lived in the Philippines so long that I won't get cheated. I also speak perfect tagalog so people are more open to me.

Kundutel is known as business hotel, on the weekend they usually have even weddings arranged. There are several short time hotels on the area, the Casino and Kundutel are the better ones. Behind all you can also find those roller door garages which are the real few hour stops.

From the airport to Kundutel I never pay more than 500PHP, sometimes even 400PHP will do.

You just need to be confident and don't let people see that you're ensure. And what it comes to the amount of bars in the area, I visited myself more than 20 and was not even half way yet. Not all are on the small 200 meters straight, there is also more behind the corners nearby.

Don't want to step on anyones toes, but this was just my observation.

If you know Tagalog you will get the local rate. Speaking the language helps alot. I can understand Bisaya but I get it all twisted up when speaking, and I still pay the foreigner rate.

Kundutel is known as business hotel, on the weekend they usually have even weddings arranged. There are several short time hotels on the area, the Casino and Kundutel are the better ones. Behind all you can also find those roller door garages which are the real few hour stops. As I stated earlier it's an ok hotel for Bacolod but it's known locally for being used by businessmen who book the room and make a call and have the BG or pay girl come to the room. Bacolod is a small city and gossip spreads quickly. The setup at Kundutel is best for them.

Usually the businessmen use Kundutel, the politicians use the drive-in style ST hotel.

From the airport to Kundutel I never pay more than 500PHP, sometimes even 400PHP will do.Complete bola. How can "sometimes" be used in this context when you only visited Bacolod once and this is your first trip? You posted it here,

http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?1012-Other-Areas&p=1359239#post1359239

When arriving at the New Bacolod-Silay airport the foreigner taxi rate is 600-800php as I posted below. You paid the local rate of 500php because you speak tagalog. When you flag down a taxi in Bacolod for a return trip to the airport you have more power since there are alot of taxis around and you can bargin with the driver. 400php-500php most often gets you the return ride.

You are not stepping on toes mate if you post correct factual intel. Posting that you paid 500php from the airport to Bacolod gives the impression to guys on the board that's the rate they can expect to pay when it's not. Some guys will be blue in the face trying to get drivers down to 500php with little success.

As to your claim that one owner owns the whole street, including the buildings, the bars, the hotel (s) , the caribbean water park and the casino is bola. I will just leave it at that.

Well, just my 2 cents. I like Bacolod and have met a few online dates there. I stayed at Fishers about 6 months ago and had a good experience. Everything was in order there. Bacolod also has a nice mountain with 7 waterfalls mearby to hike up with your girl or girls called Mambukal. We enjoyed it for a change of pace. Be sure to take your camera and hire a guide, like Romel. Then take a motorbike taxi down for 100 php.

Enjoy.

PM.

After.

Ok that's what I thought. If you know Tagalog you will get the local rate. Speaking the language helps alot. I can understand Bisaya but I get it all twisted up when speaking, and I still pay the foreigner rate.

As I stated earlier it's an ok hotel for Bacolod but it's known locally for being used by businessmen who book the room and make a call and have the BG or pay girl come to the room. Bacolod is a small city and gossip spreads quickly. The setup at Kundutel is best for them.

Rby to hike up with your rUsually the businessmen use Kundutel, the politicians use the drive-in style ST hotel.

Complete bola. How can "sometimes" be used in this context when you only visited Bacolod once and this is your first trip? You posted it here,

Appreciations for the report, Going Low. Refreshing and interesting read. Sent your effort to ROD. Not too fussed about cab fare rates, give or take an error here and there. Just go easy on getting the working girls drunk mate, they have a job to do on the monger, that belongs in the hotel room. LOL.

As to your claim that one owner owns the whole street, including the buildings, the bars, the hotel (s) , the caribbean water park and the casino is bola. I will just leave it at that.I'm basing the 400-500PHP to the the rate I got from the hotel, I always inquire it first before arriving so I have a good estimation. I didn't try 400PHP, I just offered 500PHP and it was ok for the taci driver.

I also don't claim that one owner owns everything there, that is just what I heard from the head waiter of the Kristines Steak restaurant at the ground floor of Kundutel. He also said that it's very safe to walk there as all the about 20 guards on the area are also under the same payslip. I had no reason not to believe.

Anyway, all this is not really relevant and lets leave this subject already behind, thanks.

If a foreigner asks a service crew member, taxi driver, BG, GF filipina or any other local a question and they don't know the answer they will provide you the answer they think you're seeking so they do not appear dumb and lose face. Getting "sorry sir I do not know" as an answer is almost unheard of in the Philippines. Just doesn't happen.

Locals for the most part think foreigners ask dumb questions all the time about topics they have no way of knowing. Most foreigners do, heck I do that! It's a cultural thing. In the west most people know about small knowledgeable things like the weather forecast, directions to a certain place, poon costumes and the like. In the Philippines people only care about the info they are supposed to know, not the info someone might ask about.

If you get a wide-eye look and the momentary pause to gather a thought from a local, chances are high they just made up the answer on the spot.

Has anyone got any info on the merits or none merits of this place? PleaseOzamis is a large area in the northwest of Mindanao. You are not specific about WHY you want to know.

You need to be a little bit careful when you venture out on the roads into the area between Cagayan de Oro across to Ozamis and as far as Dipolog, as it is close to Lanao which has quite a bit of untoward activity.

Ozamis City is quite pleasant but very quiet and not a big mongering scene.

The locals of course all tell you that it is all safe but they are not foreigners and there are pockets of bandit activity along the roads.

If you are going to meet a girl just remember that rural girls are very much more "shy" than the city girls and will be nervous about meeting a foreigner especially if the locals see you together. The girl will also be very nervous about being seen going into your hotel.

If you are going to meet a girl, I would suggest giving her bus fare to travel to Cagayan de Oro. She will be happy to spend hours on a bus and it will be an exciting adventure for her, and she will be less inhibited in what she does away from her home town.

The regular has Just gained employment on the island and that is her nearest big town (1 hour away) , was thinking of trying to kill 2 birds with one stone ie visit her and do some extra activity in a different place.

Managed to get my end wet in PPS via a trike driver who hooked me up with an acceptable home / hotel delivery at P1500 and wanted to take me to a bar that had WG's available at around P2000. Have fallen into the island time lethargy and declined the trip, preferring to nap, splooge and nap.

El Nido does have a P4P venue. The Asylum bar. Went past this afternoon after learning of it from a guy staying in resort where I'm staying. Normally is an evening place but saw and talked to 3 of the uninspiring talents who might be considered a bargain at P2500 if one was computing value on a per kilo cost.

As other posters have commented, Palawan is a beautiful place but better to BYO Booty. Will be heading to Coron and will post my impressions / experience per a knocking shop mentioned by Sir Lancelot in this section.

You can always answer your own question by clicking on "Preview Report" and you can see what your post will look like to others.

Obviously most guys don't care to use this so they don't see the gibberish that sometimes emerges on some unedited posts.

(For the record. Your signs are readable).

I like the "bawal umihi dito" along the wall asking patrons to please "don't [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) here" beside the door into the actual meat shop.

Looking forward to your report about your experience in the HR disco

RK. Thanks for the commentary re preview function. I sometimes use it but in my pic post, chose not to do so because of a molasses-in-winter internet connection and self-imposed time crunch of my bag draining priority. While I appreciate grammatically correct posts, this IS a working girl board with contributions from many whose first language is not English, so I'll leave grammar police duties to my English 101 teacher. BTW, Thanks for the translation of the 'No Pissing' sign that was a further tickle of my funny bone. Speaking of which.

Hard Rock visit resulted in a top shelf bone worshipping session. I arrived in Coron after a 4 day. 3 night island, hopping trip from El Nido and proceeded to Polish off a jug of rum with 3 of the crew from the boat. The following early evening, I found the Hard Rock, located about 50 yards from the Plaza and public market and more importantly, my waterfront room. I stopped for a beer and called it a night after being turned off by a give me-give me gal there and my still-mild hangover. I passed by the next day in the afternoon and talked with the mamma-san (May have been a pappa-san in sheep's clothing) who confirmed that late afternoon take-out was available, though the place does not open until early evening. After a late lunch and a rain shower accompanied nap, returned at 5PM to make my selection. Interview process was aided by a lollipop I brought there as a training and demonstration tool. Culling process was good for a lot of laughs by all and my selection of a wide but firm bottomed, small breasted lovely who more than made up for her lack of classical beauty by her over-the-top BJ abilities, sense of humor and English skills. Total damages for ST=P2k, LT=P3k but subjected to a constant nickel and diming. Ie-no change, cig mooching for all, lot of 'Can I have' and tip requests. Nothing exorbitant but a bit wearing.

Overall, I will probably return there though do have a DIA contact to investigate by 'and by. Hard Rock is only P4P venue I know here, selection of about 15 candidates is acceptable and availability enhances a beautiful locale that is not a monger destination.

Any p4p action in this town? I've searched the net and the 'guide, to no avail. Tried Ice in Smallville bar area, but there was just a concert there, and Smallville looks like a normal bar area to me, not a p4p place. Besides, I don't want to hang around the discos to meet freelancers anyway, my GF has a lot of friends, and some of them might spot me. Any massage parlours, gogos, ladybars, nice freelancers, schoolgirls looking for cock and cash? For what it's worth I'm considered hansum man here, girls look at me and smile and giggle all the time. I just don't want to start chatting up girls since I already have a girl friend with a ton of friends, and also as we all know, p4p isn't cheating. Hooking me up with a local that knows his way around would be greatly appreciated and also rewarded. Anyone?

Was told by owner of a restaurant I frequented of another "Disco" on the outskirts of town called Yuki (U-key). A 20Peso trike ride in the direction of the airport put me on the doorstep of this quieter version of the Coron market-leader Hard Rock. Place appears to be primarily a local's hang out with a selection of about 8 lovelies who were far less agressive in drink requests than their more popular competition. Girl pictured below requested and received a 100 peso plate of Pancit Canton in lieu of a ladies drink. Her demonstrated noodle slurping skills tempted me but my 5 shot rum on the rocks at 100 P on top of a lobster dinner accompanied by beer, wine and brandy finished me off for the evening. Had I stayed longer in Coron, I would choose Yuki over HR because of its' mellower atmosphere.

I will try to find them for you. The first was a Karaoke Bar and a waste of time watching a bunch of guys sing. One had absolutely no one in it at 10:00 PM, the next had a bunch of bored dancers who remained totally clothed on stage. The last one was pretty amazing. I arrived there around 11:00 and mama immediately tried to hook me up with some of the ladies. At 5, 000 PHP I wasn't too interested as I had just put a lady back on the jet to Cagayan de Oro after a weekend fuck session. Mama did say though that they had some room to negotiate.

They had a two drink minimum so I sat and watched some of the dancers. The first few were nothing special, but the place then heated up. A Korean sat center stage with his entourage of at least five or six ladies. One of them went and talked to the dancer on stage and put a beer bottle in the center of the stage. Before you could blink the dancer was humping the bottle and then tried to get the Korean to have a drink. Another bottle was put in front of her and she sat down, spread her legs and jammed it in and out vigorously so the foam was flying everywhere. She then got off the stage and chased the Korean around the bar until her went and hid in the bathroom to get away from her. Pretty funny stuff. After that it was pretty well non stop nudity on stage and some of the dancers were stunners. I will try to search out the names of the bars and post.

Other nightlife and street scene of the ISG kind is nearby in the form of clubs and street girls. A bit of boom development is underway with two more shopping malls including a second SM being built. A 30+ story hotel tower-block in the early stages of development. But the biggest boom development would be short time hotels. What happened to the new [Cagayan de Oro] airport project?A good question. Scheduled for opening first in 2010, then 2012, then January 2013, the last I heard was that there will be a "soft opening" (hahaha) 29 April 2013. Languindingan "International" airport is half way between Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. About 40kms out. The cost and the time to travel into CdO will more than likely be more than the promo flight between Cebu and CdO. Then the departure tax will become "international" probably increasing from the current 30 pesos at the existing Cdo airport to 500 pesos.

On my next Davao trip I was invited to some local areas of Samal and met the family. Papa sliced open a coconut for me with him big bolo. Next day, I run into papa right there in downtown Davao."hello sir"

Here is my review of the Mermaid Resort based on my stay there last week.

http://www.mermaidresort.com/

Checked in for a 4 night stay at the Penthouse suite. Had paid in advance via Agoda. They asked for no additional deposit. Quick pros / cons review below with pics.

Pros:
----------------

Close to the nightlife, but not so close that you get any noise (about 3-4 blocks away).

Reasonably priced. Their website shows $90/night for the penthouse suite. You can get it slightly cheaper on Agoda, just be sure to click "Book it" and check the price after taxes and fees have been added because the initial per room rate on that site is not the true price.

Really nice tub in the bathroom. Could easily fit 1 westerner + 2 pinays. Use this instead of the jacuzzi (see below under cons).

Fast, secure wifi. At first I thought there was no wifi for hotel guests because I was not picking up any open hot spots, but when I checked with the lobby they said it is secure wifi with it's own SSID / password. Once I got that sorted out it worked great. They also have wired ethernet in the rooms. Internet access came free with the Penthouse suite, but I think they might charge extra for it if you get one of the standard rooms.

Universal adapter plugs for all electrical outlets. Don't worry about bringing special adapters to the Mermaid, they use those universal travel adapters as their wall outlets. Nice touch. However, they don't do voltage conversion, so your devices still need to support 220V AC.

Good bar with knowledgeable staff. They even make a decent margarita (I've had some in PI that are better used as paint thinner). I especially liked their "Nilo Spaceship", which is a bit like a mudslide but packs a serious punch that kicks in after a few minutes.

Decent fridge/mini-bar. I like to get my own drinks and food, so I just asked housekeeping to remove all the mini-bar stuff from the fridge after I checked in. Later that day, fridge was empty and all mine. Even so, if I had used their mini-bar, the prices were not bad; about midway between the price of a beer at the bar and a beer at the store.

They do provide shampoo and laundry bags. You might not think this is a big plus until you stay at many of the hotels in PI that don't bother with these details.

Decent dive packages. This was my first time diving, so their cheap "Discover Scuba Diving" package plus a follow-up dive was perfect for me. Total cost $100 for 2 dives plus instruction and equipment.

Cons:
----------------

Bed is so/so. Not all that comfortable, but not the worse I have had in PI. Just your typical foam mattress on a wood slab with a headboard bolted onto it.

Not much of a view. Mermaid is not on the beach, so mostly you get to see the hills (not bad) and the rest of Sabang (not good).

No ironing board or iron. PG is not Makati so not a big deal, but I do like my shirts to look decent before I go out. Instead I resorted to the old college trick. Turn the shower as hot as you can get it, then hang my shirts in the bathroom with the door closed to steam the wrinkles out.

A bit of a bait and switch on the jacuzzi. Hotel pics show a beautifully tiled outdoor jacuzzi but there seems to be only one penthouse suite with that style, the rest have your regular old plastic jacuzzi. Also, the one with the beautiful tiled jacuzzi is fully exposed to the two penthouse suites above it, so if you do get that one don't even think about using it unless you want your exploits on youtube.

Brown-outs. Had at least one per day during my stay. Most lasted less than 5 mins, but it is something to be aware of.

Conclusion.
----------------

For a short 3-4 day trip this place is just about right, and I would stay here again. However, I am thinking of spending a full week in Sabang in a few months, so I might look for someplace closer to the beach and with more comforts of home like a kitchen, etc. Anybody got recommendations for something like that?

ST, LT?Late reply, but I just got back from Sabang last week. I did go in to Cheap Charlies, it is a few steps up the hill and across the street from Mermaid, right past the Gigix spa. I didn't ask about BD / LD prices, frankly because the bar looked and felt more like a local watering hole than a place for barfining girls. Only saw 4-5 girls in there and they all looked like they were with their regular boyfriends, not with customers. For instance, the girls were in normal clothes not bar attire, and I saw one of the girls pay for some drinks. Maybe it was an off night (it was a Thursday around 9pm). Anyway, I just had one SML and left for greener pastures down the hill.

Already planning my next trip to Sabang for both kinds of diving (open water and muff). I liked the Mermaid, but wanted a place with a kitchen as next time I will be there for a full week. Anybody ever stay at the Sabang Oasis Resort?

http://www.agoda.com/asia/philippines/puerto_galera/sabang_oasis_resort.html

Looks decent and some Agoda reviews seem to imply that this place is nightlife oriented, but would like to hear from forum members. If no one has been there yet, then I will likely take one for the team and give it a shot.

It's a 10 minute hike into Sabang, but the place is right next door to Action Divers. AD is a quality outfit and they have hotel / diving packages. All of the rooms at Portofino have kitchens. I stayed in a premium studio, which was very large and clean. They have a bar that overlooks the beach and the food is pretty good. Cute, friendly girls manning the bar. They have one bedroom units with an upstairs balcony that overlooks the water. Those are fantastic.

I been in The Visayas for a month now, for my first time in the country. I haven't had a chance to put up any posts because I have simultaneously been trying to find a place I would like to live, see the nice places, bang hot girls, and maybe even find a top shelf girlfriend.

That's a mistake because it's left me not hanging out anywhere long enough to enjoy the nice place, not staying anywhere long enough to fall in with the top shelf stuff, and most importantly not banging enough hot girls, which is the whole point.

I'll post some details soon, but from what I've seen there's always ST available but on the surface not the quality allot of us like. Except possibly in Cebu City.

Anyhow, to the point and what brought me to Siquijoir alone. This may get a laugh out of a senior member that's heard it before, if not, warn a newbie what not to do.

I was in Siquijoir town by the pier early in the day on a motorbike and a PHP waved me over. He was standing around with probably 10 tricycle guys joking, smoking, watching foreigners. The usual. Asked for my drivers licence. It was about the helmet. All my paperwork was in order and I told him I didn't think helmets were required in this town. So he gave me back my stuff and told me next time wear a helmet. Never before or after that was there a check throughout my stay incidentally.

Well, he then took an immediate interest in my marital status. I smiled and I told him I'm still available. (mistake #1). This gets all the guys hooting. So he asks me where I'm staying and I guess I made the next mistake and told him the truth, that it was right up the street. He tells me his name and asks me mine again. I told him because he already knew anyway.

So he says he's got some chicks for me. I politely thank him and said I'm not really looking. And furthermore that I'm definitely not interested in any type of prostitution, anything illegal, or any fix ups for that matter. He insists that he's got a nice chick and he would pick me up at 8:00 so we would go to San Juan and party. I thanked him again for the offer and said I don't drink, I'm really not worried about meeting anyone, and I'm just here sight seeing. I then thanked him again for the no-ticket, shook his hand and split.

I'm just thinking to myself, chances are he's a nice guy just trying to be cool and cares about my well being. Just like all the other security guys that do the same thing. But he wasn't one of those friendly, smiley types. He looked rather serious. Plus he had a badge and a jail. So is he setting me up to get me alone somewhere with a 16 year old? What was that helmet ticket really going to cost me? What if he gets it in his mind that I crossed hm up somehow? What if I pissed off his "chick"?

Who the hell knows, but I didn't intend to find out.

So after circling the island checking in on the girls working the resorts, it's about 8:30 pm. I was a few blocks over just cruising this dead ass town, and I passed a parked big police motorcycle. Maybe it was the station. When I got up the street I heard a shout. I don't know if it was the same guy or not but I didn't go back to find out.

I figured I'd have a better chance of getting good pussy by going to the room and getting on the net, or doing something useful like going to sleep.

I get there, and here's some kid on a motorbike waiting outside the gate. He only knows one word of English."Chicks". I have no idea who this guy is, and he's trying to get my phone number.

I hope they are all just nice guys, trying to please a horny foreigner. Or trying to get their couple hundred commission. But I don't dig pimps I don't know coming to my place. And police pimps freak me out.

So I was out the next day on the afternoon ferry.

Beautiful island and I think there's some potential with the province girls if you want a GF, but too small for me for any monkey business.

These communities are very small, and everyone knows everybody else's business, so it is not easy to monger off the beaten track.

BTW, Siquijor is famous for having "supernatural apparitions" (white ladies, aswangs etc). My staff on a recent project absolutely refused to stay overnight in Siquijor on ANY visit. It was a case of arrive early, get the business done and then get out on the afternoon / evening ferry.

I had no problem staying there overnight but my Filipino staff all thought I was crazy.

I would like to add that the new helmet law (went into effect in early Jan 2013) is a real law and not a scam to try and get a payoff. Riders must wear a DTI approved helmet. Most of the older helmets need to have a DTI 'approved' sticker on it by Jan 2013, but I have heard about riders getting a DTI sticker after the dealine without alot of hassle.

First offence 1500php, second 3000pho, third 5000php. The fourth time you are caught it's a 10000php fine and it will cost you your PI license.

If you are riding in the province it's common for locals to go without a helmet. If you are on the road and you pass alot of bikes parked on the side of the road with the riders still on or around the bikes and not much seems to be going on. It means there's a check-point up ahead and they do not have proper helmets, paperwork or they are have a gun under the seat. Election season is in full swing and comelec check points are everywhere.

Good post Sam.

I've never been there, but thought about going a few times. If you've done any Internet research, you can see that the place seems to have some nice scenery and beaches. Apparently, it is several hours by bus from Davao. I was at the Davao port on my way to Talicud and there was a boat that apparently went to Mati port. I couldn't find out anything and the boat didn't seem to be going anywear on that day.

Maybe I've become to cynical, but someone relatively unknown writes a vague request for "places. For some action" and a few red flags go up. It might be best if you tell us a little bit about your situation (nothing personal of course) and maybe what you've already learned about the place. X.

I'll be doing a short trip to Iloilo for my first time Fri. 8 March for around 4-5 nights. I'll be on sort of an exploritory mission. Look around, see what this college vibe is about, maybe get a little trim hopefully, and check it out for a possible place to live. Sounds kind of nice, with good restaurants and Guimaras near by. Big enough city, must quite a few young ladies.

If anyone wants to hook up or has any tips, or even a lead on a semi furnished place it would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be sure to add a report.

Thanks

ThanksIf you're going there mainly for the trim you may be disappointed. Ilongga girls tend to live in closely knit family networks. Think "six degrees of separation" because a relative is always six steps or fewer away from the bamboo telegraph. The girls know this and will act accordingly when it comes to a horny poriner with a lust for trim. You wouldn't see too many other foreigners there. The local politicians tend to keep the towns on the conservative side. Some have gone so far as to keep establishments like Jollibee and Sogo out of their areas due to fears that they will corrupt the very college students that you're seeking to seed.

Thanks for the info. I read back on an old post too that there's almost no open pay for play action.

Recently read of last years FL purge on Sabang's streets. Hopefully by now normalcy has returned to the FL bars and streets. I recently met a Gentlemen in AC who mentioned to me the beauty of Mindoro and copulation possibilities which await one. It is my intention to do a trip mid year.

Would it be possible for a local to post a current status report?

Would it be possible for a local to post a current status report?I am not a local and was in Sabang for the first time a little over a month ago. There were a few FLs in the streets near the bars but not many. There were a couple in one bar (Big Apple) but not the other (Eddie's) where they have been reported previously. I can't compare it against the days before the purge but I would doubt it is back to that level.

Again, any help will be apprecciated.I was there a couple of years ago. The plan was to meet a DIA / FC lady. I called when I arrived and the first night she kept me hanging on before saying she could not find my hotel and it was too late to meet. I was taken to a Filipino bar by some Filipinos staying in my hotel. It was their intent to order me up some Filipina pussy. It was a crappy little joint with no dancers and no FL until they had the waitress do a phone order for me. The lady they brought in was at best obese and unattractive. I bailed to a trike and got back to the hotel ASAP. I did not see any other bars with dancers nor did I see any FL so I can't help you.

I took a trip to the underground river and my thought was mewhh, but it was ok to get some scenic pictures as I was supposed to be there for sight seeing. My time there was short so I did not get a chance to look around much, but I what I saw left me unimpressed. They do have a pretty cool war memorial site that I found somewhat intriguing. That should use up an hour of your time. LOL.

The second night I did meet the Filipina and she froze. She had never met a foreigner and truly did not know how to react even though we had agreed that she was to travel and stay with me. She had even worked out her cycle for me so I did not arrive at the wrong time of the month. She was a very nice lady, but had that doe in a headlight look the whole time we were together. We had a bite to eat and I sent her on her way home. We have spoken online since and she says she will stay with me if I come back, but that's not likely to happen.

Prices for a trike at the time were 8 pesos for a Filipino, and 40 pesos for a foreigner so it's not just Sophia on here that has a two tier pricing system.

Like Buko Max, my advice would be to BYOG if that is in any way an option.

What is the going rate for a taxi from the airport?

What hotel did you stay in, was it decent, where was it located, was it gf, how much?

I saw some night spots on line, did you visit any? If so, are they walking distance from hotel?

Essentially, this is the kind of info I am looking for.

The Hibiscus Garden Hotel is a decent place to stay in PP. Rooms are clean and the staff is nice. They offer tours to scenic places right at the hotel. Theres no swimming pool but they have a little family restaurant. Puerto Princess is a busy little town with not much of interest but its a nice break from Manila. To really enjoy the natural beauty of Palawan you need to travel outside of PP and head towards El Nido. Not much changes there so old reports can still be useful.

I think the price of a trike from the airport was in the range of 300 pesos.

I believe I stayed at the A&A Plaza Hotel. I am not 100% certain, but I have been looking online for you and this seems to be it. It's hard to tell the way they photo shop pics and it's been a long time. It was a pretty crappy place but I did not know that until I had paid Agoda and checked in. It was only for a few nights so no big deal. I think it was around 2000 peso double occupancy. I never asked if they are gf as I book double occupancy and in this case it turned out not to be relevant for me LOL.

It had the worst included breakfast I have eaten in the Philippines. There is nothing better to start your day with than cold dyed red hot dogs, cold scrambled eggs chased with Tang.

It was not within walking distance of anywhere but for a 40 peso trike ride, that was not a big issue. Anywhere I went I just jumped in a trike.

There is one night club we went to called the Tiki Tiki Bar. It is on what appeared to be the main downtown street and had very good live entertainment. I don't believe there was a cover charge. All the Filipinas there appeared to be in large groups or with their boy friends. I did not see any evidence of FLs there or around the immediate area.

Sorry, that's all I got for you.

Again, any help will be apprecciated. It has been a few years since I was in PP, but here are a few thoughts.

A local Pinoy friend told me that at certain times of the night there may be SW along the main drag in the vicinity of the Governor's mansion. It think it's called Rizal Avenue.

A few years ago an expat living in PP described a club near the airport that has horizontal entertainers available. I looked on Google Earth and found a place fitting the description in the location he described. It is called Phoenix KTV. At the airport there's a circular drive in off Rizal Avenue; it swings in front of the little terminal and then back out to the road. Across Rizal Avenue from the airport is a side street; it's about half way between the in and out driveways to the airport. Just a short distance in on this street-on the right if I remember correctly-is this little club with bargirls on offer. I can't speak to price, but this could be a backup if DIA and other plans fall through.

I stayed at a place called the Skylight Inn. It is further downtown on Rizal Avenue. Very reasonably priced but I was on business and did not want to be seen testing whether it was GF. I think Amanut mentioned the war memorial. If you're a yank it may be particularly significant. As the Allies were re-taking the Philippines the Japanese expected to be attacked on Palawan. So they took their POWs, mostly Americans, dug a big hole, told the prisoners to get down in the hole, sprayed gasoline on them, and lit them on fire. I think there were about 60 or so, and only a handful survived, mostly badly burned. The town has created a park and memorial at the site and on several occasions brought survivors or their surviving families to commemorate the event.

I was impressed by the underground river-and the beach area nearby at Sabang from which the boats take you to the underground river. Other things to see: lots of forested back country, a big farming penal colony with a shop selling prisoner-made handicrafts, and a croc farm. A local DIA is likely to know all these things. Everything considered, PP is very laid back as provincial capital cities go, and the island is gorgeous. Seafood is excellent in PP. My favorite is a place called Badjao Seafront Restaurant, built on stilts out over the mangroves and water of the port. Not the same as Badjao Inn and Restaurant, but the same family owns both.

Just a friendly suggestion guys."Other Areas" could include any location not otherwise covered by a specific forum thread. So to aid reading, and searching, could I suggest you put the location you are talking about either in the heading title (preferred) or in the opening sentence or two. Lately I have had to scroll back a number of postings to find out what area / city you guys are talking about. Rizal Street and Hibiscus Hotel could be anywhere without a clear indication!

Very good chance the police officer probably had a relative he wanted to marry off to a foreigner. Very, very common on this island.

Muff diving that is.

I had an unexpected nice surprise my first week in the country. I landed in Cebu and after a while I headed north on a 125 Honda. My favorite one from FC lives in Daanbantayan. Looks really hot and almost black in her fotos, but was the really serious and innocent sounding type. Really smart, studying full time. 19 years old.

I kind of had it in my mind already that it wouldn't work because I didn't think she would air it out easily, and I didn't want to ruin either one of our lives. I sure in the hell wouldn't live in that town and I wouldn't take her out of school.

But she seemed really hot and really liked me, so what the hell. I check in at Skips Resort, nice place on the water right on the northern tip of Cebu. She shows up right on time. She's not quite as cute as in the pictures but killer frame. 40 kilos. Almost no tits though. In fact I took her for a ride and I thought she was pressing a clip board on my back.

Anyhow, my room is on the third floor and there's an outdoor common area with couches. And a nice balcony patio area facing the sea that we had to ourselves.

So we sit there chit chatting for bit. I said well, I don't think this is going to work for long term. So I'm not going to try to have sex with you. But if you would like, I can start licking you from the top and from the bottom and if I get to somewhere in the middle you don't like, you can stop me.

Well, those pants were down around one ankle in 5 minutes. I ate that pussy like a rat eats cheese. Hottest little brown ass I'd laid into in a long time. This went on all afternoon and she dug it. I dug it too when it ended up in a big mess that almost hit her in the face. I kept my promise and didn't shag her, although that ass was pointed straight up in the air and sopping wet. Looking back now, I probably should have.

Sam, Is that the Skips Resort where the owner Skip claims to have studied with Bruce Lee? I ran across his website awhile back and he looks like quite a character. They even have some of their staff / family members photos on their site looking to marry them off.

Interesting and funny post from a relatively new member. Good job. As you already realize, you should have done her. And I hope you made a donation to her education fun. Great post. Thanks. X.

Is my face red, sorry, will be staying in Puerto Princesa. As you probably know, most people use PP as a jumping off point for greener pastures and deserted beaches. Seems like a conservative city as I did not see any bikini bars or the like. But I'm sure you can find some company because the people are friendly.

Main mode of transportation is jeepney and trikes (plenty of vans too but they are used for shuttling tourists out of town) as I never saw any taxis. The airport is very close to the city center so P70 to P100 is a fair price for a trike ride with your bags. I was paying P40 for short rides and that included my companion.

I'm interested in visiting Siquijor so perhaps we can exchange more info via PM.

I was in Cebu City when I read a report about a guy in Daan Bantayan who had studied with Bruce Lee. I thought, "Holy crap, I'm there!"

I arrived at Daan Bantayan at the resort, but something was odd. Skip had just died. I had missed him by a couple of days.

Skip was the real deal, one of those guys who trained with Bruce Lee before anyone knew who Bruce Lee was. Now a lot of them, like Jesse Glover, James Lee, Ted Wong, and Skip Ellsworth are gone.

as you probably know, most people use pp as a jumping off point for greener pastures and deserted beaches. seems like a conservative city as i did not see any bikini bars or the like. but i'm sure you can find some company because the people are friendly.a story that largely confirms the conservative image of puerto princesa was told to me by several reliable individuals.

a few years ago a small group of compassionate folks in pp was concerned about the possible spread of stis, especially hiv, among pp's sws. so they scraped up funds and put together a little storefront walk-in clinic to do free sti testing for sws and teach about and give out free condoms. but some in the community (probably especially the religious community) saw this as a seedy operation that reinforced prostitution, so they pushed on the authorities to do something about it. the operation was closed down under pressure from authorities.

but a woman leader within the group, quiet but imposing by virtue of her height, figured out another way to operate without attracting too much attention. they rounded up a jeepney, put curtains along the sides to provide some privacy for those inside, and drove around the city as a sort of mobile clinic. they would stop along the way at the various sw hotspots, take on the sws as passengers, extract samples and hand out condoms as they traveled, and then drop off the sws back at the same place where they'd picked them up. they attracted little attention because they were mobile and had no signage, but word was out among the sws about what they were doing. the tall leader became known as "big mama" to the sws, although i believe they eventually ran out of money. but her knowledge of the darker linings of life in pp got her the respect of, and appointment as a senior aide to, a mayor who was re-elected to office after an obligatory term out of office. i don't know what big mama is doing now, but the mayor is running for higher office. if he wins, big mama may be coming to pasay.
