On my way from Bangkok to Java I did make a stopover in Singapore, arrived there at 14. of July. I spend the night in York hotel near Orchard road. Arrived on the 18th in the evening and after a brief pit stop headed over to OT. Other than the prices being a bit on the high side, same MO as in the clubs in Dubai. Thanks to all posters. I was able to take advantage of a hour away and try this spa. Milan offers $S40 or $S55 massage services. You nominate this at the front desk and they send you off to a room. You do not get to see the girl. The room was quite ok, shower, basin and matress on plinth with large mirror. I went for the body scrub at $S55/60 mins.

The 4th floor has two places. Monte carlo and milan spa. Millan has bigger mirrors in the room and greater range of girls and found on the left as you come out of the lift or the escalator. Monte carlo is on the right of the lift or escalator, less number of girls, but the massage is much better. Prices in both places tend to be the same.

With only a few hours to spare over two days and no mood to go to OT during the weekend, I decided to try out some of the freelancers advertised on sammy and laksa.

Arrive early evening long haul. Straight to hotel for mandatory shit, shower & shave. Thinking that Thursday pre F1 might be better odds at OT or Brix for take-away ST. Friday and Saturday at OT might be mostly blokes? Also thinking about a visit to the new casino. Any tips regarding casino P4P action, bars or restaurants?
F1 daytimes are for sleeping, nights are for partying. Will take note of previous posts and visit some massage joints in OT or Lucky Plaza during Friday afternoon. Will also trawl some shopping centres to see what one might find lurking behind beauty counters.
Entertainment at the F1 track in Singapore is excellent with bands, bars and loads of activities. We usually stay trackside until closer to midnight on Saturday and Sunday. This creates a problem. Meaning that arrival at OT or a similar venue is after 12 midnight meaning most of the best talent will have ridden their chariot home. Any hot tips for late night action. Finally. I recall some bars on the other side of Singapore that are more for locals. I don't know if this is worth trying in F1 time as I guess the talent will go city side. Benefit of such bars might be that the F1 crowd does not make it there. Any local knowledge greatly appreciated.

I have been very frequant to Milan spa on my travels to Singapore. Their massage is very good. But as I said, Monte carlo was better. The standard rates at both places is HJ 50, body to body with BJ 80 and FS 100. You seem to be paying too high. Don't budge anything more than that.
Initially when she asks is this your first time, say no. And that your a regular visitor. You can even mention some names like winnie. Crystal, ice, etc. This will give her an indication that she can't charge you over the limit.
Monte carlo was closed for a couple of weeks (for renovations) on my last visit to Singapore. Please let me know if they are open now. The quality of ladies are much better there. At the same price.

I finally made it to S’pore landing well after midnight last night. I got to my Orchard Rd. hotel and cleaned up quick and make it out to the Towers by 2:30AM. First stop Ipanema and it was packed, mostly with dudes. There were plenty of girls still available but I’d guess it was 4 to 1 guys to girls or so. The hotties had mostly been picked over. The place was packed and the music loud, just as I remembered it.
I made the rounds of a few other OT bars and for whatever reason all I seemed to meet were Viet girls. Your best bet for a ST Thai hookup is in Geylang, but that is, if you are amenable to dressing down and going window shopping with the 'lower' echelons of Singapore society. ;) The dancers are available, i.e. they are open to discussion. Had a great last night in S’pore at OT. Sadly, it’s time to go just as I was figuring things out. I dropped way too much money mostly from buying drinks. This is not something I can recall seeing discussed here previously, and obviously not something I can discuss with my "family". I do know a previous maid was sent back home after she got pregnant to her boyfriend, but assumed this was simply because of her condition affecting her work.

I have always had fairly good luck in Harry's Bar in the rear block of OT. They tend to be freelancers. The ones that used to work in Country Roads (I met ons on Suk. Soi 33 in BKK a few weeks back strangely) often have an agent, he gets 150 they get 150. Hence the price. The Viet's in there tend to want 300 as well but they tend to be freelance.
But just spend an evening in Harry's (only that Harry's) something usually turns up. If you are lucky LT will be 150. 200 Sing.
PS the drinks aren't cheapt though.

I haven't been in S'pore for several months but just recently visited the Lion City again and hit my favourite hunting grounds at Ipanema.
However to my disappointment it looks like all the laws of supply and demand and market price equilibrium got distorted by F1 or maybe the economy is in such a great shape.
I went there around 2:30 so normally this should be the perfect time to find some delicious take out entertainment. The F/M ratio was positive about 70/30, it was Monday so all the signs pointed to a successful safari.
I chatted a nice looking (but not a stunner) tourist from Thailand (?) and the opening price of $200 was dismissed and she let me know that this is way below her standards. WTF?!
OK, I thought maybe I'm having bad luck, so tried again with a visitor from PI but this time tried $150 and indicated that I'm open for negotiation. Again, it seems like I insulated her high moral standards as she would not even negotiate and said that it will take a lot more to convince her for a "date".
So, I retreated to a smoke room and analyzed the situation. 3AM, 70/30 ratio, Monday, I'm some years away from 50, dressed well, smell good (Armani Gio), told them that I'm looking for ST, stay at Hilton across the street. WTF is going on?
This did not compute so tried again but after I got a counter offer of $250 from an average Viet, I decided that this must not be my night and retreated to get a few hours of sleep alone before morning meeting.

That's rather odd; I was in Singapore a couple of months ago & didn't have much problem with $150 for ST, & I'm pretty fussy about who I take out. I'm also over 50, overweight & don't have much of my own hair left so I'm not exactly a fanny magnet. Like you though I'm always clean & not drunk.
I stay in contact with one or two of the girls I met & one of them has been having difficulty getting clients recently so it's unlikely to be a case of them all being picky because they've made a fortune from the F1 weekend. If they are at Ipanema they are there to work & I agree that to us it would seem that $150 is better than going home with nothing. Who knows the inner machinations of the working girl mind.
I don't know where you where looking but I find that the A list group at the bottom of the steps down to the main floor is not good hunting ground. I've always had much better results by looking around the edges for the girls that have something slightly different about them.

Bring your passport and keep it in the rear pocket with a button. Better choice. The first one was not an ideal place: a couple just ahead of us returnedcto reception with the keys saying the room was already occupied! We had to' wait then for them gettino a replacement room and then it was our turn. 81 bathroom was cleaner and newer. Better solution, trust me. And a bit closet to OT. There are also more 81 around, like 7-11, lol.

And anyway, despite common belief, the budget hotels are not struggling, they are maximising their revenue on block bookings, and the ST rates are to 'fill in the blanks' so to say.
See the number of Budget hotels along Balestier, of major chains and small operators - it is mind boggling.

It's the front one (on the main road). Go up one flight of escalators & look in the two bars at the top (Country Jamboree & Ipanema). You can get away with just one drink for yourself if you want. There are other places, but if you only have one night you can't really miss with those two.

As someone said, jut go to the first floor (up) and move right or left and you will have an eden of choices. No entry fee, jsut drink at nearly normal prices. You will not be ripped unless you want to (such as not demanding for the change back, but dont worry if they will take their time to return the change) or starting to offer too many ladydrinks to waitresses too. Tip waitresses with discretion, do not over do.

Fun can be had in the 2nd building. Up the escalator and to the right(can't remember the name) is a great bar with lots of Filipinas.
As far as drinks go, you don't have to buy any! Just wander around and pick out what you like and make your best deal.

I do not understand the constant slagging of the Viet girls. I have had dozens throughout the years, especially lately since they seem to have supplanted the Thai girls in OT, and I have had some great experiences. Have had multiple repeat "meetings" with some of the exceptional ones.

I get the same results from Viets in Singapore and Hong Kong. Although the service is usually good, they are always in a rush. That said, I get much better results in Vietnam. I think this applies to most when they are working overseas. They want to make as much money as possible during the limited time they are in country.

It's been several weeks and it's about time I chimed in on my short stay in Singapore. I already posted a quick nod to the Ibis Bencoolen in the hotel thread. Now it's time for my nod to OT.
I think I could live at the OT Ipanema specifically. After an "interesting" start to my first night, which I would prefer to bury someplace far way, I discovered Ipanema and fell in love.

You need to learn to distinquish between the pinay buy-me-drink (BMD) bars and the freelance bars.
AT OT the basement bars, Country Jamboree and some others are generally freelance (except for dancers and other staff) although some of the freelance gals have an arrangement for a drinks commission that encourages them to use that bar.
The other pinay bars at OT, Lucky Plaza, Joo Chiat, Duxton , Cuppage, Paramount and other places are all BMD bars where you get various levels of play in the bar by buying drinks. The gals must stay until closing although there are some outrageously priced barfine arrangements.
The big difference is the price of the drinks - at a BMD bar the gals drinks will be $20,$30 or $50 whereas the freelance bar drinks prices will be similar to yours.

The range may be wider but these days in the UK most electronics & cameras are the same price or even cheaper than Singapore. When I started visiting Singapore the exchange rate was 3.2SGD/£ & it was well worth buying stuff. Last time I got 1.98SGD/£ & it just wasn't worth buying anything, especially with as many items have Singapore/Asia warranties which are useless in the rest of the world.
Now the ladies of OT are a different matter. Much more economic to run than in the UK!

I have been scouring this fine message board for a while, collecting data (in my head) for my upcoming night in Singapore. Thank you all for the great reports and info you've provided. I am laying out my game plan in the hopes that you will set me straight if I have any misconceptions of the scene.
I have a 22 hour layover in Sing. in early December and plan to get as much out of it as possible since I really don't get out much. My basic objectives are:
1. Visit Geylang in the day(will post question on this in the Geylang thread)
2. Visit OT at night (plan on staying at the Hilton - will post question on this in the Hotels thread)
3. Depending on energy and "juice" levels, may go for special massage at OT before night falls(if fellow members concur its worth my time)
I arrive in Sing. at around 7 AM. Since I most likely will not be able to check in to my hotel until later in the day, I plan on bumming around Geylang until the houses open, then go for a session before heading to hotel on Orchard road.
I am not interested in killing too much time in the bars at OT. Since I will be trying to hook up early in the night, I know that I'm limited to ST since the FL's will want to be back at the towers for more gigs. I understand the economics of this so, no arguments there. This may also provide me the option of bringing back another ST later in the night. I believe the average rate should be SIN150 for ST which, ideally, should be 2 hours? Should I just expect them to want to take off if I pop within the hour? Will I be sitting around with no company if I get to OT between 8PM and 10PM? I am not interested in an all-nighter since I have an early morning flight to catch. Of course, that plan might change if I meet someone special...LT should run average SIN200?
As for OT at night, I believe my safest bet is Ipanema to avoid LB's. Any other bars that are definitely LB-free? Seeing pics of some of these LB's its damn hard to tell sometimes. The extra's rate is the same for all girls. Some try to be a little greedy. But when you tell them you are a regular, they all end up at the rates you mentioned.
Monte carlo and Milan has the same rates for the extra's, but their entrance fee is cheaper $47 and $53. These were the prices when I last visited in June 2010. (monte was closed at that time. Last visited monte in March 2010)

I've never stayed there but I have stayed many times at the other one, the Holiday Inn Atrium on Outram Road, a decent place though it's starting to get a little long in the tooth. Though not part of the official hotel services, there is a health club in the adjacent shopping center which offers massage and full service.

I've never seen men asked for ID in OT, although the girls certainly need it to get into some places like Ipanema. I suspect it's a legal requirement to have ID on you when in Singapore but I don't like carrying my passport so I have a colour photocopy in my wallet & hope that's good enough should I ever get asked.
Just one other comment about Ipanema: I've seen Asian men charged to get in (especially groups of Indians for example) while Westerners just walk in. I'm just flagging it in case you encounter that situation.

You might need a passport (not the photocopy) to get into decent short time hotels. Especially those not ST full time.

All LB are banned from the various bars, so they hang around in different floors, near escalators.
The higher you go the more you see (not an army, though!)
At the 3rd floor thee is Crazy Horse, 90% (pre- and post-op's) are LB. They are allowed there, they cannot harass the customer (they politely ask to sit at thour table and a no is atakne as a no), and they can't sit more than two of them per customer.

A lot of indians are really God Fearing and get into bars, and stick with soft drinks. And having served in bars let me tell you. They can sip a glass of coke for 1 hour or more.
The bar in question. Ipanema, doesn't charge cover, and expects you to atleast buy a drink. And it doesn't matter whether you buy in or out.
As for the westerners who don't get stopped at the door, once they are in side, a waiter/waitress will consistantly follow them until they buy a drink.

I understand the economics of this so, no arguments there. This may also provide me the option of bringing back another ST later in the night. I believe the average rate should be SIN150 for ST which, ideally, should be 2 hours? Should I just expect them to want to take off if I pop within the hour? Will I be sitting around with no company if I get to OT between 8PM and 10PM? I am not interested in an all-nighter since I have an early morning flight to catch. Of course, that plan might change if I meet someone special. LT should run average SIN200?
As for OT at night, I believe my safest bet is Ipanema to avoid LB's. Any other bars that are definitely LB-free? Seeing pics of some of these LB's its damn hard to tell sometimes. If I ask, can I feel assured I'll get an honest reply? Sorry, I know this is such a newbie question. I feel stupid for even asking it.
It sounds like Country Jamboree is a pretty mellow place to start the night. Definitely want to avoid the BmD bars.
I've read all the posts regarding the attitudes/services based on country of origin of the FL's, but I'll try to use my best judgement when sizing them up before making a choice. Basically, guaging their enthusiasm and how personable they appear. Sounds like the viets are pretty agressive so I'll do my best to fend them off if it becomes too much.
One last question. I have a WF account here in the States. Anyone here with WF account that had any issues withdrawing money from local ATM's in Sing?Starting with your last question. You will have no problems withdrawing cash from just about any ATM in Singapore. As long as your bank is part of the Star or Cirrus network, you'll be fine. Banks usually charge a fixed international transaction fee of a few dollars for each withdrawal, along with a percentage of the amount withdrawn, so it's better to make one large withdrawal than several smaller ones.
Vietnamese women can be pretty aggressive, but they also take no for an answer. They almost remind me of telemarketers: High pressure right up until the second they disqualify you, then off to the next target.
FB (Football Bar) is probably the "mellowest" place in OT. It's the one of two bars in OT where a good percentage of the patrons aren't there to be customers of the girls. Reasonably cheap beer, too. It's on the third floor, near the back. Country bar (second floor, towards the front) caters to an older and obviously more western crowd. Ipanema is usually the most crowded and busy bar. If you don't have a drink in your hand you WILL be pressured, repeatedly, to buy one. When it's busy it can also take 15 20 minutes for your change to arrive, so have small bills ready if you're in a hurry to move on. You might also like Harry's Bar. It's on the ground floor of the back block, and like FB's, also caters to a mixed crowed of mongers and non-mongers. Has a decent band on the weekend. Both Harry's and FB will have something of a crowd by early evening (6 7) and maybe a girl or three. People start trickling in to the other places by 8:00 (pm), and they're usually pretty busy by 10:00. You shouldn't have any trouble picking someone up between 8:00 and 10:00, and realistically, yeah, they'll want short time. You could probably get ST for less than $150, but you may also not be in the mood to haggle (Indian stereotype notwithstanding). $200 for LT is reasonable.
To my knowledge, there are no BMD bars in OT (although I haven't been to any of the newer Filipina bars, so I could be wrong). For that (why bother?), it's better to go to the Duxton Hill/Tanjong Pagar area.
As for ladyboys, probably the best way for you to understand is to go up to Crazy Horse for a drink and just watch. You should be able to tell pretty quickly. It's unlikely you'll find LBs in any of the other bars, but one easy way to find out is to ask one of the girls to point them out to you. They know, and they're pretty catty about giving the LBs a hard time.
I could be wrong, but I have a feeling your biggest challenge will be getting up in time for your flight.

Quite a puzzling question remembering it works almost the same in any bar. You will give yourself away eventually anyway.
Just order a drink and you have all you can stare ass.
Have heard that several bars at PSC including Homeground and Smooth are closed down.
Any intel on this? When? Why? What of the other bars?

was there last night. homeground has closed down. i was told due to lack of business. been put off by all the raids. smooth and speedzone still open but at weekends many of the girls go to moonshine in ot at 1am if they haven't sold many drinks. moonshine owned by same people as hg and smooth, speedzone.

Took a tour with a local buddy here. Now and Then on Anson is nice, they have some 'dancers" and the girls are pretty and friendly. Ladydrinks $30
Rapids: Also off Anson. This place is run down and pretty much empty, the girls are nice and they have karoke. Cheapest LD place, $20
"9": As my buddy put it, the girls are lower quality but more playful. J and I found out for ourselves as we both got BJs in the back of the bar. But the girls were distracted and kept looking at the door. So we didn't finish the deed LDs are $50 here. Way too much for a cheap BJ. The girls were very playful though
All had filipinas. In terms of "9" I never knew they grew them so big in the phillipines, yikes
Enjoy SG. I landed a real viet find in Ipanema and I'm not usually a viet guy. I'll write more later about her.
