To answer these two questions at the same time: I stayed at the "Fragrance Pearl" hotel. It cost me SGD$58 for the night. As I arrived in Singapore well after midnight, I had no idea where to stay, only that: (a) the airport hotel was full; and (b) that I couldn't afford a five star place.
As if by magic (I hadn't said "take me to a redlight district", the taxi driver brought me to the Fragrace Pearl (one of five Fragrance hotels) and it cost SGD$35 to get there. Whether this was a rip-off or not, I shall never know. As I said, it was well past midnight, there were no MRT (subway) trains running - and I didn't know how else to get from the airport to the city.
After I showered and changed - and had extracted local currency from an ATM on Geylang Road, I headed back in the direction of the hotel. Those prices are for Singaporeans. Been to L18H18 many times. All the Thai houses are of the same price. Foreigners expect to pay S$80 for 1 girl with a bit more time. The Singapore prices gets you a rushed service, but it's for Singaporeans only.

Well, here I am in Singapore and I would concur with others on this board - this is not a great entertainment destination. I visited OT and the talent is not really jaw dropping. I went to Green Mango which is mainly a Philipino scene. It is either a dance club scene or occassionally there is a singer on. What little talent there appears to be already spoken for. Then checked out Top Ten. The cover charge of S$18 covers a free drink. Good layout but as in all other places guys seem to outnumber the girls and consequently there are very few to choose from. I would assume all Fragrance Hotels are girl-friendly, as they all offer rooms by the day or by the hour and they are all in the middle of Geylang. They are there to be girl-friendly, that is their primary purpose. Well, European women is allmost impossible, unless you have the big spending money, then it can be possible.
Russian are not difficult, Orchard Discos, and behind Lucky Plaza seems a good choice, some might even slip in to Orchard Towers.
Price: ST for the good ones are app. 150 to 200 SGD - and all-nighter might end up in 300 (depends on the day and mood of the girl).

General Update:
Singapore claims they are SARS free now. But, you can expect to have your temperature taken at all entry points into the country and throughout the city. If your flight arrives at 20:00, it's probably means it will take you another 30-45 minutes to be out of the airport. Then take into account 15-20 minutes to get into a cab, and another 20 minutes to get in Gaylang, which brings, at about 21:30 to geylang.
Then take a safty buffer of 30 minutes to wait for a lady. and another 30 minutes to unload, and belive me, with skilled girls there it will take much less...
which brings us now to 22:30. right? a taxi back will bring you to the airport at 23:00 the latest so there you go.
My guess is it will take you less time, but I took some safty buffers..

However, all the 2 or 3 stars hotels there are very clean and are girl friendly. I stayed in Geylang Lorong 12 (Hotel 81 Princess) and the price of a superior room is 59 spore dollars. Once you walked out the hotel, you can see many girls (chinese, indonesians, Indians) stand along the roadside with lots of tourisits or locals guys too. If you happened to see only guys, it means that the police car is coming and the girls are hiding, after 15 minutes or so, they will out again.
To my estimation, from Lorong 8 (Lorong means "street") to 18 there are minium 150 girls around to choose from.. chinese will be 100 per shot (30 minutes) Indonesian 40 and Indian are 40-50 and Thai 40-50 too. The above girls are all withour license to work there. Others with License I think you can find information from this forum.

Hotel 81 is a chain of Shorttime hotels. My favorite is Hollywood in Geylang, I believe on Lor. 8 or 10, it's a tall hotel with purple neon lights outlining the facade u can't miss it. It's just 20 paces to where all the PRC girls display their wares. There are some real lookers but as other bro's have said usually deliver crap service. I look for the ones that don't seem to have an attitude, smile alot & show an abundance of enthusiam. JT: best to take a cab, MRT takes too many stops & cuts into yer fun-time. FS is sometimes possible (depends on the girl), but be forwarned that things tend to be pretty cramped. There is usually only or two tables in the back, and at best partially blocked off with a partition. Not much privacy. The shop on the left is probably a better bet than Mayer for this. You might also try MJM, on the 3rd or 4th floor of the Textile Center on Jalan Sultan Road. There are few other massage places in that building and in Jalan Sultan Plaza next door.

I was at 1st floor of OT or '4 floors of *****s' on Tue 12 Aug 03. There was alot of supply with a few 'doable' workers. I managed to hire the Thai worker on the link.

The Orchard towers are 4 floors with various clubs in them. From Discos to a country and western bar. There are mostly Thai, Philipina, and Vietnamese girls in these places. Even though Singapore is supposingly boring given all the regulations and "don't 's" with hefty fines, it has still quite an action. I list them in order of my preference. Actually what is your budget on the hotel? And are you alone?
Orchard Hotel is right on Orchard Road, and right next to Orchard Towers. Marriott is on the corner of Orchard Road and Scotts Road in the same general area. Bar None is a great bar in that hotel. The Hyatt is a 1 minute walk up Scotts Road from the Marriott. Good club downstairs there. The Goodwood is much further up Scotts Road and not near any nightlife. The Carlton is on Bras Basah where Orchard sort of continues on to become that street. Central location for downtown sightseeing, and decent rates, but not so much for mongers nightlife. Close taxi ride to the nightlife area of Boat Quay, Chinatown, etc. though. Taxis in Singapore are cheap anyway.

Just got back from a 2 week trip to Singapore and Thailand. Except for gettting food poisoning, I had a great time. In Singapore the Orchard towers was in full swing. My last night there, the U.S. navy pulled in and there was plenty of competition with 5000 horny sailors running around. Review of bars in Orchard Towers
I quite often go to Orchard Towers as it is the best place in my experience to find an attractive girl who you can take home.
Each bar is really quite different in style and atmosphere, even if, superficially, they all seem to be the same. Crazy Horse on the top floor has too many lady boys for my liking and they grab at you quite often. I am pretty sure I can always spot them and have never mistaken one for a girl - they're too tall for Asian girls for starters. Top Ten is probably the most upmarket and too daunting for my taste - does anyone have much experience of this one to tell me about? Good for picking up girls.
Virgin Rainforest is the only one of any note on the third floor and seems still to be struggling to attract business and hence its happy hour goes on until 10.00 compared to the others which finish at 9.00. I sometimes go in and stroll around but have never seen especially attractive girls in there. There are a couple of other bars on this floor which seem to cater for guys who want a cheaper drink and to watch football on the TV screens.
Makati City (formerly Green Mango) is very popular and often has a live band but in my experience isn't so good for picking up girls - a mix of Thai and Philippine girls. Ipanema,on the same floor, is full of Thais and often very attractive ones too - it's my second best pick-up bar in the Towers - but more of Thais vs Philippine girls later. The other bar on the same floor is the one where staff wear mock-cowboy hats and seems to be where older guys pick up somewhat older girls.
On the first floor/ground floor there's only one bar - Queens - and that also seems to be struggling for business a bit - but for that reason it's a better deal for drinks - though there aren't so many girls.
Down in the basement is the heartland for the Philippine girls - two bars. Peyton is the most popular of the two by far and has a good Philippine band live every night. It's best to get there from 10.00 onwards, but the advantage of being there earlier is that you can catch the prettest girls as they arrive and before someone else gets them. Most of the girls are not so attractive but some Philippine girls there can be real stunners and I have picked up my best girls there. Philippine girls in my experience are far more like having a girlfriend than Thais, who are more business like and keen to get on with it and then leave you. Philippine girls also are routinely $100 S/T and $200 L/T, whereas the prettiest Thais normally want more - from 50% to 100% more.
I can never tell how sincere Philippine girls are being - they can feign really falling for you and wanting to stay with you - almost every one (and it can't be my fatal charm, I'm sure!) but I still haven't found one who I can have a serious relationship with for very long. What are other guys' experience of this?

The final bar in the basement is Blue Banana which seems to have picked up business more recently but is also more 'slutty' than any of the other bars. Thought I should expand on my previous posting with a little detail about my trip in July.
The Country Music Bar on the first level seems to be the only place "quiet" enough to hold a conversation (assuming you can find a girl with some english language skills!) There are always about 4 to 5 Russian girls that are in Impanema at the OT. I have to say that it is nice to have a change and I have had a Russian girl before and I really enjoyed myself. Main stock of SW can be found in Gaylang, about 15 minutes and about 8SGD from Orchard road. Ask the cabbie to take you to Gaylang and lorong 8, and start walking in the side streets paralal to gaylang road. You will find many Mainland Chines, Indian, Ind'as. Price about 100SGD + 50 for the room in one of the many hotel nearby.
Just bare in mind:
Not all chines take whites.
Most of them do not speak English
Thier service sucks.
For the same rate (150SGD) you can just get in one of the brothels and have a Malaysia Chines, speaks english, and get a great bbbj, AR and FJ.

It's located directly across the street from "The Four Floors of *****s" and I've never had even one question about taking guests to my room. The rates are pretty good. I always book online at Asia-Hotels.com, I think is the site. Had pretty good service from them.

Trotter is correct. I also always stay at the Orchard Hotel. Less than $100 U.S. with a nice breakfast. There is never a problem with bringing girls to the hotel. I have even walked in with one on each arm. It is right next door to the Orchard Towers so you can walk back to the hotel. Orchard Road is also great for shopping, restaurants, the Hard Rock is accross the street too. The 4 floors will have everything you need under one roof. One stop shopping.

Orchard Hotel:
Does anyone know if there is a big difference in quality between a Deluxe and a Standard room at the Orchard Hotel? One is in the Claymore Wing and the other in the Orchard Wing. The price difference is US$30, which to me adds up to quite alot when I'm planning to stay there for a week to ten days.
Any info would be much appreciated.
