Many others, and that's includes myself, have posted in the past detailed experiences at Geylang in less than 4 hours. Just search the forum for that.
In short if you don't have luggage to pick up or check in, and already have a boarding pass, you have plenty of time, using the MRT, to enjoy at least one session in Geylang. I actually managed 2 once, in less than 4 hours.
But, of course, you may prefer the safety of spending 5 hours in the airport. How boring!Ah come on. Not everybody wants to live in the super fast lane. I live here, and since the two casinos went full fledge, between 9 PM to 12 AM, it is harder to find a taxi than to find anything. As the casinos offer a 'pick up fee' a-la the airport surcharge. To taxis, and taxis, even empty whiz so fast, so they can claim they never saw you. And they straight head to the casinos.
And if it rains, or fridays' the traffic jam, while not as worse as BKK or Manila, can cost you an hour just to get to the city from the airport
And did you also remember that the MRT is not 24 hours? (unless they are secretly doing it for you. Only.)
Ah hell, what do I know after living here for more than 10 years.

Those on either get visa on arrival, or have visa all head to the same queue, unlike residents who can get out within 20 minutes. And the queue, based on the nationality mix, can last upto 1 hour. On worse days. On good days, yes. 30 minutes to clear immigration.

Try Lorong 16 House 54A (OKT Garrick) or any other house you have picked in advance. Call in advance if the girl you need is available so you don't need to wait.

I will be on a 5 hour layover at Changing next Sunday afternoon / evening and I am hoping this gives me enough time for a first sampling of what Singapore has to offer.One more bit of advice about clearing into Singapore during the layover. If you have checked baggage, be sure to let the airline know your plans. I've had SQ hold my bags in Singapore when I cleared in without telling them. I got them the next day, but it's still a hassle.

No suggestion to take a taxi. But the MRT is highly reliable, even on Fridays, even if it rains, and yes of course, during working hours. There are no flights leaving Changi after midnight, so I cannot see the problem.
In about 20 visits, I never waited more than 5 minutes at immigration. But, yes, it can happen, and if this happens, say in 5% of the time, I can understand that somebody who lives there may have been stopped 5 times if he has been in and out 100 times. In which case, you can always revise your plans.
You paint the worst case scenario (Fridays, rain, taxi, queue at immigration) etc. Which even would probably be OK, but tight. But the worst rarely happens,
Anyway, I still need to hear a report form someone who even got close to miss his flight, while this forum is full of succesfull reports form happy guys having enjoyed a nice time between 2 flights. The next one is likley to be Avurtada.

As I wrote this, Last Saturday, I had to wait in the taxi queue for nearly half an hour, with a long queue in front of me, when I returned from KL. In T1. And week before, about the same time, in T2. And with an average of atleast 50 entry / exit via Changi, I am still wrong. (oh, as a resident, I don't even queue up in the Visitor's queue, I head to the Residents / Citizens queue. And check out faster.)

I would like advice from those who know the scene. Am I better off going to GL and picking from one of the cat150 (or lower) houses or should I think about laksaboy?
For the former, are there particular houses where AR and AJ might be offered?
For Laksaboy appointments should I prime myself for lots of photoshopping? Are the services offered usually accurate? I liked the look of Bina, Fara and Nadia on moonlight and leysee, and claim is AJ avail as extra. No FRs that I could find to verify though. Anyone on here W / experience of these girls or OKTs?

Maybe they do not call them "departure" fees but they are fees and they collect them because you "depart" from the country and use the airport facilities in order to do so.
I simply don't know if there are any other hidden ones once you go out when you are supposed to stay in. That's why I said maybe.
On the other hand I know that once you cross the border (immigration) they usually stamp your passport.

But why focus on taxis when obvioulsy one should take the MRT? Have you ever experienced a queue to get on the MRT? And how often, if ever, has the MRT been delayed significantly? I have also been queuing for taxis in SIN and, yes, I would not rely on them if I had a tight schedule. And with regards to immigration. 1 minute is best case. (I obvioulsy have been lucky, but in my 20+ entries I never waited more than 5 minutes) , worst case can be anything, I agree, and if that's the case, just walk back, and try to find something nteresting to do for the next 5 hours.
Look, there is no need to tke this personally. I very much rely on locals, like yourself, to get advice, and that's very useful. But there are just some things that are different for the occasionnal visitor vs the locals.

I've been through Changi many times both as a visitor and with an Employment Pass, usually v fast and worst ever for me was 20 mins after a China Airways flight landed. Of course you can get unlucky but as a previous poster mentioned worse that can happen is that U-turn around and wait in the airport, makes you no worse off than before. Use the MRT. And another piece of practical advice that may help. There's a Left Luggage service if you have carry-on baggage that you don't fancy carting to GL.

It didn't happen to me because I wrote it on the immigration card and explained it to the lady immigration officer. Maybe she liked my smile? LOL.You are cracking me up. Your smile had nothing to do with departure tax. Singapore taxes are included in the flight ticket and you don't pay seperately unlike in Philippines. Or more asian countries. For that matter, I don't even remember seeing a "DEPARTURE TAX PAYMENT" counter in Changi, T1, T2 or T3 or the LCC terminal. And trust me, your smile had nothing to do with it (though you may beg to differ.)
As for the stamp, yes, everybody gets stamped, except those like me living here, on residency. We scan our card and off we go. As do Citizens.
Dreams: No love lost of course. I just hate to set expectations high and then the punter finds out that MRT doesn't run 24 hours, or, of late with least frequency, out of the blue, the MRT service is suspended (used to happen when somebody decides to do a little excursion to the MRT Line. But not of late as most train above ground is protected with semi covered barriers. Unlike before when the above ground stations were open.)
Also note that as per my neighbour, ICA can refuse you entry if your departure is short. My cousins have stepped out, on transit, and they had 4 hour once, and another time, they had a 6 hour transit and ICA refused, due to the next flight was a US Flight which had required 1 hour gate closure. Though generally ICA don't care about missing pax. .

BTW, with F1 around the corner, a load of girls are arriving here. To cash in on the F1 fever. But prices are going up. In OT, nothing less than 250 seems to be the deal.

There is always the option of taking one of the Mercedes private cars from the airport to Geylang. They are more expensive than a taxi, but usually they are readily available without having to que in the taxi line. I have taken them in the past, I think the charge was $35 Sing to go to the Hilton. I think they charge a flat fee.
This may be an option of getting to Geylang, however you would have to flag a taxi to get back to the airport if the MRT is not a viable option. If it is raining. It can be iffy as the other poster pointed out.

For Avurtada: on your hour transit, skip the OT part, and stick to Geylang.

As for the 5-hr layover and a possible leg-over. Hrmmm. Do-able maybe. I would give it a try but I would also be prepared for disappointment. Arriving in the evening and taking the MRT, yes, but you also have to realize that Aljunied (sp?) is about a 15 min walk down to Lor 20. At night, you can get a bit lost because Lor 20 (or whichever Lor you want) does not go all the way up to Aljunied station.
250 LT or ST? (not, understand, for my 5hr stopover, but for the following week when I have more time.)It should be LT, but I've seen guys pay more than that for ST. I generally pay 200 LT.
As for your Sunday afternoon layover, I'd personally recommend you take a taxi to Geylang. Yes, the MRT is convenient, even for a first time user, but if you add up all the time you'll spend buying a single use ticket, waiting for the train, the actual trip, then walking from the station to the lorongs (assuming you don't get lost) , you're going to get there faster with a taxi, even if the queue is 15-20 minutes. Same with getting back to the airport. You shouldn't have any problem catching a taxi on Sunday afternoon on Geylang Road.

The flight you mention was surely on a quick stopover to another destination with the same plane: A to B via Singapore: can be qantas, can be emirates etc. Transit passenger are moved quickly to the departure gate to avoid they get lost in the terminal. The passenger having Singapore as final destination are disembarked prior the transit and go to immigration. The transit ones do not have a specific SIN- destination boarding pass but keep their original one plus a yellow TRANSIT pass they need to give back when boarding again (enabling the count crosscheck).
Our Mr 5hrs lands in Changi with one flight and has a connecting (different) flight 5 hrs later.
As simple as that. I can believe immigration might refuse entry due to too short transit time. So to avoid the passenger becomes a no show for some delay due to underestimations of his timeline. I once had a couple if hrs layover and went through immigration just to meet a friend who was in the landside area, with no trouble. Maybe I was lucky.

I had heard about the Galaxy de Sauna in the basement of the Holiday Inn Atrium as being the home base of the "male massage" experts May and Grace. Assuming I arrive in Singapore in the afternoon the first day. And my goal is to see some sights, but also do mongering at night (possibly some daytime) , and if you were me knowing what you know now. LOL. Should I do 3 nights or 4 nights in Singapore? I don't want to cut it too short, but also don't' want to get bored as I'll be going back to Thailand anyway.

Thanks2-3 days in Singapore is PLENTY to do the touristy stuff. This itinerary (http://wikitravel.org/en/Three_days_in_Singapore) isn't bad, but I'd skip the "beachy" part. Not that great. Can take Duck / Hippo tours for a good overview of the city.
Frankly, I'd focus on on food at hawker centers, wet markets and Geylang. Geylang has the added benefit o being a red light district as well, even during the day (at the legal houses).
OT is the most prominent night time hunting ground. Plenty of info about it in the forum.

Having now done my two stopovers in Singapore, here is an update for the group on my experiences.
Geylang, airport stopover:
En route to Australia I had a 5 hour layover at Changi. I already had a boarding pass for my onward flight so I left the airport without having to worry about transfer stuff, nor my hold baggage, and so I was en route to Geylang in a taxi within 25min of landing. I will be in Singapore during the Formula1 weekend when I would like to have some good sex also! This will be my first attempt to Singapore mongering scene. I just returned from Singapore about 2 weeks ago. And in the 7 days that I was there, I chose all women from Brix. I stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel which was right across the street and very girl friendly. I will spare all the details and just get to the nitty gritty, all the women I chose from Brix were Latinas. 3 Colombians and 1 Venezuelan, there was one very sexy Peruvian walking around there, but just when I was going to make my move, I saw a Colombian with an Ass like you wouldn't believe, and wound up going with her. All the women, I worked out for about $300 SGD for about 1 to 2 hours. I understand that what I paid should have been for all-nighters, but I was with some pretty attractive women, and they knew they could make more money, so if I asked for all night, I am sure the prices would have been astronomical (just like everything else in Singapore) All in all though, each was some pretty enthusiastic performers, and I was pleased with the service provided. What helped I think was I speak passable Spanish (from what I was told, not a lot of people do that pass through there) and I have been to Colombia a couple of times, and passed through all the cities were they were from, so we talked quite a bit about that.
My observings:
Get there early I would say no later than 11:30 as most of the attractive women will be gone by 12:30. I thought on the weekdays surely I wouldn't have any competition, and I would be able to negotiate a great price. Boy was I wrong, Brix stayed packed weekdays and weekends, I was really surprised about that.
From what I understand Sun-Wed (or Thurs) there is no cover for entering Brix, but Thurs-Sat expect to pay a cover of $25 SGD.
The women didn't ask for drinks to be purchased for them (well maybe 2 of the 4) but it wasn't in a pushy way at all.
Other than the Latinas, I of course there were Asians, but I didn't speak with any of them, they were attractive as well, just not packing what the Latinas had.
I did talk myself into going to the Orchard Towers, and atleast to say that I went. I made the mistake of getting to Brix late, and all the women I would have selected were long gone, but I had a good time at the Salsa spot I was at (hence the reason for being late). When I got to the Orchard Towers, after going to Brix, I wouldn't return, Brix is a pretty comfortable environment, and I felt Orchard Towers was complete chaos, and not to mention there were quite a few ladyboys patrolling and also the Police.
Other than that though, I thought Singapore is nice as a whole, great food, fun things to do when not mongering, but only drawback is how expensive it is there. But I would head there again if I could, but trying to visit other countries, and probably won't return for a long time.

They are not pushy, the might just try to hook your eyes with theirs.
The Police is often ther, on the sidewalk and if there is a bit of trouble (a drunk guy) they might go up.
They do not represent a problem, On the contrary: a guarantee.

I went out with a local buddy to a place out on the edge of the Geylang zone last night. Mask 51 I think is the name. It's a very different atmosphere in the bar, compared to BRIX or OT, and I was the only caucasian type in the place. Mostly Viet girls hanging there, and they come around to your table in pairs every few minutes, depending on how many are around. You can tell them no thanks, or invite them to your table. There were some uber hotties dancing on the little stage areas, and I drank a shot with one of them. Yum! Later in the night I met an average looking Viet girl though with a really great ass on her. I wasn't planning on bringing anyone back, but she talked Mr Happy into it. 200 LT and gawd, a really great GFE. I hadn't had any decent luck this time in town until now. Will be shagging this one again tonight!

Back from my trip but I wanted to pass along some of my experiences for other's edification (or amusement). As I've mentioned in previous posts I've figured out I'm not very good with the bar scene but I did have an interesting experience, During the Sunday Tea dances, I happened to be on the sixth floor of the Lucky plaza at the south end and there are three Philippino bars up
There. There was this very attractive (to me) woman standing outside (a Jennifer Lopez look alike) and she caught my eye. I decided to go in a have a drink with her. And gained an interesting education. This was obviously a BMD bar. My beer was $7 and hers was $30. So we chatted and she snuggled and I learned a lot about BMD bars. Perhaps you all know this already but it was new to me. She said that when she signed up to come to SING from the Philippines, she didn't know she was signing up for such an establishment. She said she wanted to work in a restaurant but she had very little say in where she went. The girls in this particular bar all stay in the same house that is run by the guy who runs the bar and they have very little freedom. They have a contract wherein they have to pay back a certain (rather large sum) of money to the agency that brought them to SING and it usually takes months before they're making any money that they can keep. Of the $30 for her beer, $15 went to the bar and $15 went to her. She also gets "3 points" credit for a customer buying her a beer and has a quota of 30 points a night. At least in this bar, none of the girls can leave with a customer unless they have made their quota for the night. Also, they have a bed check back at the home and if any girls misses that, there is a $300 fine that must be paid back.
All this is to explain why BMD bars have the dynamic that they do. I really enjoyed this woman's company and rather than feeling frustrated an inadequate in the other bars, I chose to spend $37 dollars each evening with her. I had to work during the day but did have one day off. She was going to meet me at the hotel and spend the afternoon with me on that one day off before she had to go to her shift at the Pub. However, on the day of our arranged meeting, her aunt flo arrived and ruined our opportunity to play. A missed opportunity for sure but an experience and a education was gained.
I have her number and will try to get back up with her on my next visit. I'll report if there's anything to report. Thanks again for all of the information shared.

(and to the one who wrote of bmd bars, aunty flo arrives just when you need to do the deed. those girls on 6 month permit are subject to pregancy and hiv test, and knowing they don't use protection, they'd rather lie than to hurt you and tell you that it was a jolly ride)

Decent ST hotels (where normal people also calls in) have rooms available that means F1 does not take over the town capacity.

btw, that place also has a couple of women only bars, catering to tai-tais, and men entertainers. no kidding. and no male guest allowed.

Mid-range Asian-type spas: light meals, drinks, clean massage. Yes. Example: Hot Spa at Roxy Square in the east, near Paramount Hotel.
The 'parade' concept brushes too close to Singapore laws regarding procurement so it's just beyond tolerable limits. Yet we have DRLDs. Go figure.
Closest destinations for 'Asian parade spas' is Jakarta (1.5 hr flight) or Manila (3.5 hr flight), or if you can spare the time for the ultimate in my opinion. Macau. Malaysia will have such spas, offering more than a massage, but there won't be a parade. You have to know the masseuse's number tag to request, or rely on the manager to recommend someone based on your verbal description.

i stayed in the hotel last month. all bars seemed to be bmd, maybe one ktv joint. i did not partake, but when passing i only saw in my eyes average looking filipinas. the ones trying to lure you in were 100% from the philippines.

Hi everyone,
I am from India and am a regular monger in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
I will be in Singapore for the F1 weekend (Arriving on 24 Sept morning and departing on 26th Sept evening) and have booked myself in the Riverview Hotel for the 2 nights.
I have been reading the forum regularly and making notes about the different places to monger while in Singapore. I have also visited la*saboy and sa*myboy forums and am planning to contact a couple of numbers.
I would be grateful if someone answers a couple of questions:
1) Is there any mongering scene like OT or massage parlour inside the Riverview Hotel?
2) Any closeby place (walking distance) to the hotel for happy ending massages or ST rooms?

Of course, the place across the hotel is Singapore's best Chinese K bars. Which, for a few thousand K S$, you can do everything in-house.

SINGAPORE. With the Formula One (F1) just around the corner, even non-track side hotels stand to be big winners here, charging almost double their usual room rates.
Rooms at Hotel 81's branches at Bencoolen and Bugis, located near to the track, are going for about $350 a night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. About twice the regular $159 weekend rate.
The lowest-tier hotels in Geylang, for example, now cost $130 per night, up from $80, reported The Straits Times (ST).
There is typically a room rate hike during race weekend as hotels have to pay a F1 tax with those by the track having to fork out 30 per cent of the price of each room they fill, while those away from it pay 20 per cent.

I just arrived back in SG yesterday, this is F1 weekend and the place is busy. Took a tour of the Orchard area last night so here's the report. I only hit a couple of spots:
-Orchard Road "Stroll" between the Orchard parade hotel and Hilton: As usual, Viet pickings hanging out on the "flower planters", benches and near the Coffee Bean. Nothing much of interest around 9pm, but around 1130 things were a bit better. As some of you know, I tend to avoid Viets usually, but have one that I have seen a few times over the years (search for my reports) , she doesn't appear to be in Sg now cause she has ONE spot she sits at and she wasn't there.
-BMD bars: Again, I usually don't like these, but decided to check one out. Moonshine which is across the street from Orchard Towers (the other side of OT). This is a filipina BMD bar and you can waste a lot of $ really fast. I came in and was swarmed by 4 filipinas (one Ladyboy and 3 females). I ordered a beer and the girls asked for a "cheap" LD. Hahaha. Well, being the nice guy I was, I did buy the females LDs, hmm. Cost me $200 SGD for all. But honestly, it was fun. I got to play with filipina pussy and nipples, some kissing (but. 2 of them have braces, yikes). This bar has a barfine available, but not my style to do that when OT is right across the street. Played with the girls till I finished my beer and then left. The bar has a fabulous band, playing 80s music and not too loud. So despite the fact I don't like BMD bars. It was quite fun. -OT (main building) : By about 1030 pm when I left Moonshine, OT was hopping inside and out. Thanks to the forum and their advise, I enjoyed my 3 day stay in Spore. As directed, I bought a local sim card when I landed and called up a couple of numbers from the Sboy / Lboy forums. Had to sms the preferred time and name. And settled for a 2pm appointment.

JayIt has the mastercard or visa logo on it. I'm assuming its a visa or mastercard debit card from a global bank. I use my us atm card as a credit card sometimes in Singapore and vice versa in US. You will get knicked though on currency conversion rates and maybe a 2% transaction fee so be ready for that.
HSBC has a credit card wherein you can travel globally and avoid the foreign exchange conversion surchages when you travel. Good for those that travel a lot but like to settle bills on one credit card.

Open your mind and don't be cheap. Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive, and the entire country is economically accessible by taxi. Taxis obviously take cash, and will readily take CC's for a reasonable additional fee.
Get a SG SIM and it will be very easy to call for a taxi if you aren't near a "popular" taxi stand. Also for a moderate additional fee.
S & L fora generally offer in call. Hotel included, but of course since you have stated you have done research you should know that.

If it is an ATM-only card with Maestro / Cirrus logo you can use it at virtually every ATM in SG. To use it anywhere else it will have to be a Visa or MC co-branded debit card. In either case you'll get clipped on exchange and out-of-network fees.

You can always use the card as a credit card. And the daily limits on withdrawals come from YOUR bank, not the ATM you use.

Really only suitable for those with a profoundly poor credit rating or terrible financial discipline. If this is you perhaps you might rethink your choice of hobbies?
Generally, in most countries of issue, debit cards offer virtually NO rights to the consumer, offer no float period to the consumer, still cost the merchant the same or higher fees. No benefit really to anyone except the issuing bank and the CC logo. Every financial advisor I know or read considers them to be "evil" and a poor economic choice.

A bar manager was fined $8, 000 today for living off the earnings of his pub's performing artistes who doubled up as prostitutes.
30-year-old Balamurugan Thiyanamuthi pleaded guilty to one charge of living off the earnings of three Filipino prostitutes, and another charge of managing the trade.
The offences were committed between October last year and March this year.
The women who were issued work permits as performing artistes were under his employment at Trafford Bar at 128 Arab Street.
Thiyanamuthi told the trio who were between 22 and 29 years of age, that they were also expected to provide sexual services to customers, where half of their earnings would go towards him.
Court documents revealed that Thiyanamuthi received between $100 to $1, 500 each time.
He was arrested on 29 March this year.
MediaCorp understands that one of the women has been sent back to the Philippines while the rest are helping with investigations in Singapore.

Two of her colleagues, who are also Filipinas, were allegedly found inside the same KTV room with their breasts exposed. It is believed they are Lumbre Carla Jane Alaras and Cacho Jaquelyn Rosario, both 23 years old.
But the three women did not turn up in court on Thursday and warrants of arrest for them have been issued.
Channel NewsAsia understands that the trio were employed by the company that owns Embazy but they were not supposed to be working in the nightspot.
If convicted of appearing in a state of undress in a public place, Alaras and Rosario can each be jailed up to three months, fined a maximum of S$2, 000, or both.
The police said the group was arrested during a licence checking operation at entertainment outlets on Tuesday evening.

I thought I would share the results of my quick trip through Singapore. I met 2 ladies while there.

But, if you are sharing quarters even if not bedrooms, make sure the girls know and understand beforehand. Many will try to sell you on 1 King/2 Queens, but few will go for multiple guys at a time. Overall a good 5 weeks in SG (one week in VN and 4 in SG). Checked out the OT scene Saturday and Tuesday night. Hi Guys.
I made an overnight stop in Singapore on Wednesday so I arranged to meet Danielle who was also coming back to Singapore on the same day (lucky me). Russian ladies tend to be a bit more interested in getting your money than in giving you a good performance (generally not as bad as Vietnamese though). It would be naive to rely on email research from the agency alone, don't you think? What are they going to say? I thought it a fairly reasonable question considering there is little other info in the way of reports on Russians on the site. I apologize if this is not the right site to be asking such questions. Also rest assured you do not need to 'loathe' me. I am not pro agency or anything else for that matter. Just pro experiencing life and having a good time. I think that is fair enough. You can find Russian ladies in OT (I forget which bar they are in) , or Brix. The Brix ladies are a bit more pricey but I have a friend who met a really good Russian lady in there. Here are some tips on dealing with Russians which will help avoid you getting screwed (for money).
When you are negotiating the price you need to go into detail about everything they are going to provide. I know it sounds crude, but this is very much a business transaction for a lot of Russian ladies. Do a checklist like do they french, BBBJ, CIM, etc (basically all the things you want to do). Another good question is to ask them if they are going for time or number of shots. Some girls think ST is over as soon as you cum. Also ask them how long. Like 2 hours, or if overnight then what time they will leave.

I recently returned from a Friday to Tuesday night trip to Singapore. I spent most of my nights (after 10PM) at OT, but made one quick trip to Brix (in the Hyatt) to check it out. On the topic of prices, I agree with Valkyrie- anyone kind enough to post a detailed trip report with pricing should be responded to with respect. When people get criticized for paying too much, they are probably not going to stop their behavior- they'll just stop posting about it instead. And it's much better to get honest reports, with what was paid in the forum, than any of the other chit chat.

I tend to agree with you about pricing. Obviously there is a general pricing basis that we should be trying for (say $150 ST or $250 LT or whatever) , but we also need to keep in mind that this is a service business. If you bargain a lady down to the bottom dollar you may find that you are motivating her to give you a quickie instead of a good full service. I generally don't comment when I think a guy has paid too much unless he really paid over-the-top. And then I just suggest what he could have paid.
In my case when I negotiate I don't try to get the girl down to the lowest possible price, but I get her to agree to her minimum price as a basis and tell her what I will pay if she gives me a good performance (say $200 LT + $100 tip if I like her). If she really works out well then there is really no limit to how much I will tip and I will also see her again.

After that, the herd begins to thin. I would assume around 3am to 4am will be considered late (2 am on weekday). That would be the time some girls will begin taking as low as SGD 100 for ST, squeezing the last vice for the night. The girls left behind around this time are not likely be a looker though.
Note that most girls consider two tricks a night as the quota and the third as an extra income. Smarter girls (and better looking ones) obviously will begin pressing for LT from around 1am as they will be earning approximately 1. 5 times of normal rate and they had gone with a customer before.

Sorry for the delay on the day 2 report. P. S. I don't need them, but I like to plan ahead. I usually have a kit I carry, but they've long expired and I've not made a trip to Mexico lately to stock-up.

BikeRider: been living here long enough: No prescription, no Anti biotics. A doctor consultant is just 28$ or so, unless you need it at the middle of the night, where you got to head to A&E and pay 80$ or more.
Bring your own, if you can. Unless you have a dozen and more, Customs don't care.

Singaporeans can be funny about rules though so you might need to visit a few pharmacies before you get somebody to sell you the antibiotics.

Take your passport and go to a pharmacy that has a pharmacist on duty (not all do, only the larger guardian and watson stores for example) , tell the pharmacist you are leaving SG within 24 hours and then tell him or her what antibiotics you want, what doses, and how many. No prescription needed if they think you are leaving the country soon. Most pharmacists don't ask questions because its a sale for them. You can also get drugs like Cialis, etc. Don't use the herbal stuff, its junk and unless it is contaminated with the prescription drugs. It doesn't work, no matter what the ISG "viagara" thread suggests. A waste of your money for herbals.

Well. I'm going to visit Singapore in the middle of the next January. Just for 2 nights (3 day's). It will my first visit to SG. Also, you might not realize what you're asking for. While it's not quite fair to generalize, a "local Singapore girl" is typically a Chinese woman who likes her boy subservient and doting. Google "Singapore men carrying handbags" and you'll get some idea of what the local dating scene can be like. I've found that Chinese Singaporean women are also hit or miss when it comes to sex drive. Some are pretty horny, but most are pretty repressed. Getting laid usually takes a while (several dates or more). By comparison, Malay women tend to be a lot hornier.
A working girl you pick up from OT or Geylang may not be a very good "tour guide." Most of them follow a pretty set routine while they're here, and unless you're interested in learning the route between where she stays and where she works, she's probably not going to be able to show you much of Singapore.
Striking up a friendship on a dating site is probably a good way to meet someone before you get here. I can speak from experience that Singapore Love Links is a good source of both serious relationship prospects as well as the occasional FDW doing some "freelance work." Getting them to dispense antibiotics without a prescription might work with the "I'm flying off tomorrow" routine, but I wouldn't count on it.

Sorry, have to disagree with you on the prescription drug thing. Actually SG has a rule in its Pharmacy law allowing as I said. To go into a pharmacy and get drugs without a prescription if you are leaving the country. So, the pharmacists aren't breaking any rules by selling these to you. My business partner and I just recently got a supply of migraine medicine for his wife. This is known as 'export sale of drugs". While you can't buy controlled drugs (like xanax for example) you can buy drugs like antibiotics, cialis, etc.
Ahhh. I remember the days when Tanglin Mall had the big bubble display that was "snow" for the kids. Too bad they got rid of it, hehe.

Went to Orchord Towers and headed to 2nd floor.
Saw this euroasian girl, half croatian / Cambodian. She took me inside some little bar where Russian girls were dancing.

I checked out OT & Geylang during my short stay last week. Geylang is a little creepy at night, lots of pimps walking around and overall location is not so great. I saw many street walkers coming back after the crackdown last year. You can find some nice looking girls in Geylang but it's hit or miss. OT is much better if you are looking for GFE style services. Be careful though. 2nd floor and up are filled with ladyboys. Ipanema is still a best bet but girls are getting high prices. Starting at $250+
I had 3 girls in 3 nights and refused to pay more than $200 but YMMV. Stay thirsty my friends!

It's meant to let a traveler replenish a supply of medications they ran out of while in Singapore, and for whom the time to see a doctor is too short. Assuming you're not a resident and not looking to buy too much, I guess it's worth a try.
