Thanks, Ebauche. That's an interesting take that I hadn't considered.
Another barrier for me is how hard it is to engage in just a normal conversation. Need to keep it simple, avoid abstractions, keep it light, etc.
Badoo is my 'go to' Singapore app to line up possibilities prior to arrival. It's mostly Pinays with the odd Indo and Malaysian. The bulk are domestic helpers. As per the many many previous comments throughout this forum, unless you're there on a Sunday it's hard for this to go anywhere. I avoid profiles that contain "God fearing". Our Supreme Being is quite the cock blocker. There are lot of nurses in SG as foreign workers. I've had a lot of good luck and they're pretty cool. The age bracket that I have success in is from 30's to late 30's (I don't look above this age). There does not appear to be a lot of younger talent on this app. I also used to use an app called Tagged, I had success on it a few years ago but it's all but petered out for me.
WeChat is my app when I hit the ground. A few years ago, I picked up within hours of landing. It's never failed me. There are so some hot af freelancers (and scams) there.
Regardless of the app, getting catfished is a problem. I got caught out badly last time. Always have a pre-prepared exit strategy if things go to shit.

Anybody else laying low for the next couple of weeks? I am expecting LE to be out in full force doing sweeps of the usual non-legal areas (everything outside the Geylang licensed brothels).
I am predicting this will not be a high profile sweep (like when they publish in the newspapers to get civil credits). More like when they just want to do a cleanup before a big event (like they do around Formula-1 time).
If anybody is out and about over the next couple of weeks can you give a heads-up if you see any LE activity?

After many trips to Geylang, wanted to check out Orchard Towers. Got there and went up escalators and Ipenema was right there and actually a line to get in. No cover but had to get a drink which I did Tiger draft for 13.50, kinda pricey. Saw some girls getting in to but nothing spectacular. Got in and scoped out the area and headed for the bar to get my beer. Walked a few circles and good amount of girls in scandalously clad dresses, lots of fake boobs. Some pretty girls just standing around. Camped at the bar for a bit with my beer and within 5 minutes a girl tapped me in me arm and smiled. She looked decent and had some small talk, her English was limited and she seemed a bit shy, like it was her first time or something. After a bit of chat she got right to the point and asked me if I wanted company for the night. I said maybe later and got her name, she smiled and walked away. Camped a bit to check out the action and it was good, lots of people having fun and more girls walking in, there was some talent there. Saw this one very pretty girl next door and she did not look like she belonged there in her flowery dress, she would have been good to go for church.
Another girl walked up to me and started talking, her English was better as she commenced small talk telling me she was here studying and I tried really hard not to laugh, I asked her studying what but she then got right to the point and asked me if I wanted her company tonight. I politely declined and she straight up walked away without saying a word. At this moment I saw the first girl standing a few meters from me by herself and if I had any intention of taking a girl, it would be her as it didn't seem to be just for the money. I never asked either girl for price but maybe I should have.
Finished up my beer and did another round around the place and then headed out. Saw the PRC girls I read about by the massage parlors and one beckoned me but I waved my hand and went down the escalators. It was a good learning experience and next time I'm in SG I will definitely partake at Ipanema after doing some hotel recon as wasn't sure my hotel was girl friendly. This actually helped me a bit when I went to Beach Club the next night which I'll write about in KL forum.

But many of the girls in OT are controlled by agents and have less room to negoitiate as they have big fees to pay. Never ever pay in advance, particularly to PRC girls. This may be the rule in the West but any lady that askes for money up front in Asia is intending to rip you off. If you are not farang this may not be true, and I know none whites can have a hard time, but if you take someone LT and they ask for payment up front they will probably get a call after an hour from a "friend needing help". If this happens tell her firmly you will pay her half ahead and half in the morning. If she doesn't agree send her home. This rarely happens, but spoils your night when it does. More on the upcoming meeting.This is pretty much what I was envisioning. LE has already started quietly doing sweeps on Balestier, Chinatown, OT, and Geylang looking for Visa breakers. My point was that they will not be publicizing the arrests because they are not looking for the publicity. . they are simply trying to clean up. Anybody trying their luck at OT for the next few days is likely to be randomly stopped and checked (bigger risk for the ladies than the clients obviously).
The whole island is already on increased security. I pass through screening every day for work, and what used to be a 30 sec fingerprint scan and bag x-ray has turned into a 20-30 minute ordeal complete with physical bag searches and pat downs.
All airports work normally when AF1 is parked.

We get POTUS / VPOTUS visits all the time, regardless who is in office. Impact at the airport is there, but minimal. The bigger problem is impact on road traffic, as the Secret Service pretty much clears the streets along the motorcade route. I expect traffic snarls to be a bigger problem than anything at Changi, if my experience here is indicative. I'the expect security on the roads and at whatever venue they're using to be stricter than we get domestically, but airport security to be similar.

When Obama went to, I think, Colombia, his security team got in trouble after an altercation with a prostitute or whatever PC name the woman chose. Anyway, the sky will not fall. The motorcade should be able to get around because getting between venues will not be that far apart, I assume. Many years ago I flew a Thai friend into Singapore for a few days. She had previously worked in Singapore and said she had to show money at the airport on arrival. A couple of days after she arrived I noticed a big wad of cash in her bag, and she said she had shown it at the airport. As she had borrowed it from a friend in Thailand she had to take it back.
I have seen reference to this on the Forums so am assuming this still is required?
I might fly another friend in from Thailand in the future who has not travelled much and has to the best of my knowledge never been involved in the sex trade.
My question is, typically how much money is needed to be shown at the airport?

I might fly another friend in from Thailand in the future who has not travelled much and has to the best of my knowledge never been involved in the sex trade.
My question is, typically how much money is needed to be shown at the airport?

JS.This is fairly SOP when entering any country. Immigration may ask to show your return ticket to prove how long you are staying, hotel booking to show proof that you have somewhere to stay, and proof of funds to cover your stay. Showing a wad of cash is a bit old school (I have seen people use bankbooks, or printouts of their recent account statements). It can be a bit subjective (like many things in immigration).

a Thai girl who is not in the sex trade recently came to meet me in Singapore and she didn't need to show any money and had no issues at Immigration. She did have a return flight ticket and proof of where she was staying but was not asked for either. However, as RedDragon implies, it's all up to the Immigration officer.

More than enough to cover stay (hotel and meals) and touring is required as well as airline tickets. Also important is a job back home if possible or strong attachments back home. Every place requires it.
As you noticed, this has been mentioned in many posts. I would not have let her borrow from a "friend" as the interest payments are usually very high. Usually a supporting letter, prepaid hotel, confirmed and paid in full round trip ticket and some cash helps. Travelling with her is best. Even if everything is in order, it all depends on the immigration officer. There was a post some time ago whereby a punter's girls was pulled aside and almost denied entry; even though the punter was travelling with her and had everything in order.

My Viet sweetie got a big hassle the first time. She had a letter from me, a prepaid air BNB (with her name on it I paid), return ticket on SG airlines and $500 USD. They still held her up for 1. 5 hours then finally let her go. Next couple of times, I met her in HCMC and we flew together to SG. And I stood behind her in immigration line (behind that famous RED line, don't cross it to stand next to her hehe). And she looked at me as did the immigration officer and was easily let though (I guess cause he knew she was with me). One of the officers even spoke to her in vietnamese. They did not ask to see her cash when I was behind her (I got behind her when we got to the condo, many times hehehehe).
I do think they prefer to see cash especially USD.
For filiipinas, I have had mixed results but in all cases, all came though but sometimes with 1-2 hour delays. All had the letter, USD, return ticket, and place to stay.

The other thing I will remind people is that SG has a strict rule. Your passport cannot expire less than 6 months of arriving. I was in VN in March and traveling to SG. I had 5. 5 months left on my passport (I'm stupid), and they almost didn't let me on the plane in HCMC to fly to SG (had to get special permission) and when I got to SG, had to visit the immigration desk and thankfully they let me in (I had a 3 hole maid waiting for me to arrive). I did a mea culpa to the immigration officer (a nice Malay woman) and she let me through and said "don't forget to renew your passport". Which I already did.

GG, you are lucky you got through after failing the 6 month. I would have fired the guy for being an idiot. Travelling for the below 23 year olds can be an issue in some areas.

I would STRONGLY advise forum readers to COMPLETELY ignore this gentleman's post as an aberrant outlier. Singapore hawker food is one of the gustatory high points to experience on the planet. If at all concerned, look for prominently displayed Food Safety Grade cards and stick with stalls earning an "A." I regularly eat at “B” and even “C” Grade with zero problems.

A local was yelling at a street food vendor because the person did not speak English. Don't think wise to yell at a cook who is preparing your food. I am not sure if the local still ate the food.
So far no problems in the quays and street food. And I don't yell at the provider / cooks either!.

In multicultural Singapore the main source of everyday food are hawker centers or in local language food courts. The majority of stall belong to Chinese, SEA and Indian food. Although Western food is available at food courts, it might not be the best western food though.
So yes if you are not familiar with Chinese / SEA / Indian food, then food court might be a bad place for you to have food. Every food court hosts a healthy salad counter at 90% of the places and if you are not sure what to eat, go straight to this counter.
In Singapore, things are very realistic and simple, you want nice food at a reasonable price and eat like a local? - Go to food court (hawker center), want to spend more money on food and eat like a tourist. Head to the air-conditioned sophisticated restaurants. Choice is all yours but nonetheless the food is healthy and good at all places.

When travelling one of the worst things you can eat is salad. It's been washed in water which may be of questionable quality & handled by cooks who may not wash their hands properly. It's much safer to eat freshly cooked food & especially something that's just been heated like in a wok. Ice cream & ice in drinks is another big cause of food poisoning. Obviously Singapore has less of these issues but it's still a risk.Salads, raw veg, and raw fruit is pretty much zero risk in Singapore. At least no more risk than any restaurant anywhere in the West that fails to practice good HACCP protocols. Reason being that the potable water, everywhere, is high quality and safe. Again, go to stalls that received A-grade on their food safety assessment, and you're assured of eating at a stall that practices good hygiene.
Well it has been a few years since I visited Singapore. My plan was to visit Brix Bar and then hit OT. Had some great memories of Brix and admit that when I arrived that it had not changed much. The girls were very well packaged and played the game well. Howver the prices quoted were off the charts. Still it was fun chatting to them. Around 1 am headed to Impanema and was again surprised how little it changed. Band was loud and crap as I remember and the girls were hardened and average. Thought I was going to have a bad night. Just when I thought about calling it a night a cutie slid next to me and pricked my interest. Viet with nice bolt ONS and a pettite slim figure. Not normally my type but she spoke well and was fun. * the way it's distributed: what you get at the very 'downtown' end (Brix, OT) is very different to what you get at Geylang.
* the way it's so well geared towards the traveller with Brix and OT being perfect for take-away, wish we had that at more cities!
* that OT isn't just a 'grab and go' like Brix tends to be, you can stay there for quite some time and have some fun dancing with the ladies.

All of my visits were mid week and before midnight.
Downunder Bar. Full of Pinoy ladies that are paid by the bar. Decent to talk to but not many hot ones. Small beer S $10.
Country Roads, went on very quite night, aging Viets, good to talk to but not for anything else. Suspect the cute ones come in later. S $14 or 15 for a large draft beer.
Drunken Poet, Irish pub with prices to match. No sign of ladies, but I wasn't expecting them. It is open to 4 am for the football though.
Queens. This was a bit odd, but not bad. Walked in and it looked like a large Thai agogo. Small draft beer was S $10. The girls said they were all Indonesian but the accent and the cross gave the one I was talking to away, and she admitted she was pinoy without too much interrogation. She was a bit chubby but nice to talk to. I bought her a G and T which was $20. But she said all the girls were freelance and not paid by the bar. It might be true. But would have to BF one of them to find out. Some looked fairly hot.
The place that used to be Three Monkeys. Thought it might be a Pinoy freelancer place. Beer was only S $6. But the girls admitted that the lady drinks were S $60 for 5 shots. Finally IP's. The metal band are well worth a listen and they play decent music when the band aren't playing. When I went in the girls weren't that hot, but decent, the hot ones wandered in later, but one young thing had no interest in talking about anything other than going there and then. She was also translating for her friend. It was busy midweek.
The PRC massage places. I got offered a number of FS / BJ experiences from the massage places that all over the place. The girls mostly admitted being PRC and wanted paying up front. S $100 was mentioned. But as we all know prepayment to prc means rip off. So I declined.

According to Wikipedia, almost 10% of the Indonesia population is Christian (7% Protestant, 2. 9% Roman Catholic).

Where I live there are about six hawker centers within walking distance and I have had bad experiences with almost all of them at one time or another. The only good thing is that there is a decent turnover rate so there is something new every few months to try.There can, of course, be particular hawkers whose offering isn't very good. They tend to go out of business. In any given centre there are bad vendors, okay vendors, and good vendors. Occassionally excellent vendors. But in almost any centre, you can see where people are queuing up for food. Those stalls are generally a good bet. I've only come across a single centre that I rejected in its entirety. Can't recall the name. It was awful. Dirty. Smelly. Only Muslim / halal food on offer at the very late hour I visited.
Keep in mind the OP initially posted about food safety, with lesser emphasis on quality. Go to Grade A or Grade B stalls and safety is a non-issue. Do a bit of research into popular (with locals) centres, and observe which stalls are doing brisk business, and one can be assured of a good quality dining experience.

For “1 hour,” most girls in Singapore give you the full hour (talking Geylang or the various incall operations that were once common). If you can nut multiple times, bully for you. OT / Brix: Pretty much the same as everyone has been saying. Made it to OT late Sat night early Sun morning and found the usual fare. Met up with a Pinay from the past and pretty much settled for her. This one has been a mainstay so I guess by now we are in agreement we are one each others team. Just means a lower price for me when available. I did manage to pull a Viet and once in the taxi on our way to hotel I realized I had been with her before. After that, all of the various ones from Locanto stopped texting me. Opted for a nice HJ and message from her since she was there, it was ok just something to calm my nerves from the bait and switch.
Lessons learned: Be vary wary of Locanto Singapore ads as well as any others. If you get a form type response from them you know they are not "truly independent" but also be careful for those who keep saying meet at the room first. Be cautious when setting up the meet. I don't like giving my name and room and if possible set up the time after the elevator restrictions kick in (I didn't do that). Otherwise treat them nice and stay safe!

I have been in Singapore for a couple of weeks and have made a few trips to OT to find out what goes on there now. All the mentions on here seem to be for Ipanemas and I was hoping there were some freelancers bars left. But it looks doubtful. So this is where I tried. All of my visits were mid week and before midnight.
Downunder Bar. Full of Pinoy ladies that are paid by the bar. Decent to talk to but not many hot ones. Small beer S $10.
Country Roads, went on very quite night, aging Viets, good to talk to but not for anything else. Suspect the cute ones come in later. S $14 or 15 for a large draft beer.
Drunken Poet, Irish pub with prices to match. No sign of ladies, but I wasn't expecting them. It is open to 4 am for the football though.
Queens. This was a bit odd, but not bad. Walked in and it looked like a large Thai agogo. Small draft beer was S $10. You have to pay to get in but that gets you a drink. They have dressed European ladies dancing next to poles. If you wanted a European they all looked okay, I didn't, but some dark skinned lady came and talked to me. She looked pretty hot, and said she was from Indonesia, she looked African but here skin felt SE Asian. I was only on a reccy so I left after I finished the beer.
Desker Bar? On the top floor at the front on the RHS as you look towards Orchard Road. Had a lot of hot / semi hot Pinoy ladies outside. I went in, first beer was S $6 after that S $12. A very cute 20 yo called Aki talked to me, she didn't look fully Pinoy, but said her dad was Japanese, which looked about right. I asked about drinks and it was S $36/48/60 for 3/4/5 tequila shots. They could also do beer but S $48 was the minimum for 4. The girls couldn't leave the bar, but they did say they had a room which customer could hire for S $390 which included lady drinks. Not sure what you could do in the room. Anyway, not my kind of thing. But I did buy a second beer and listen to the band, who were playing rock and were very good. Oddly I quiet like the bar, and might go back, but only for a drink. It was like a Monday or something and before midnight.
Bar next to Desker Bar had closed doors and a lot of Indian men hustling outside. No way in hell I was going in there.
Downunder Bar, went back to bar to find out the scene. Again it is a hostess bar, the girls can't leave the bar, and only lady drink options are multiple shots etc. Beer is $10 for a small one. Girls ere nice enough, but can't talk really once you tell them that you aren't going to spend S $48 destroying their livers. I don't know whether they water the shots, it didn't look like they did in Desker Bar. But then again I guess it wouldn't.
Peyton Place in the Basement. This has been there for 30 years at least. About 10 or so years back they started to have lady drinks, but one was fine. I walked in after midnight on a Friday and there were a lot of mostly pretty Pinoy's and only about 3 men. I left to be followed by a pretty girl. I just asked her if the lady drinks were multiple tequila shots and she said yes.
So I have a few bars left to do, but as far as I can see, there is only the one freelancer bar left in OT. Country Roads, which for now at least is the same as it always was. I went in for a beer about 11 pm early in the week. A Viet. Lady came to talk to me. I had talked to her on a previous visit. She looked about 40 but seemed nice enough. I said I was short of cash, and she agreed to come long time, until lunchtime, for S $150. She asked for payment up front when we got to room, which I declined and said pay tomorrow or leave, she stayed. She had a bit of a gut, but the rest of her was in good shape, and she had a great pair of natural breasts which were big enough to titty fuck. Which I did for the third shot. I gave her S $200 and $10 for the taxi as she tried hard and I had a nice time. I am sure she will be more relaxed next time, she was scared of not getting paid. Which I guess is an issue on Singapore, as all sorts of men seems to hang around OT.
I am still trying to find out why all the other freelancer bars have gone, but more on that when I have an answer, or maybe not if it is the answer I expect to get.

In a top end restaurant the salmon flesh should be under-cooked and a little luminous if you know what I mean. The skin however should be crispy if it has skin. The norm in Singapore is to overcook most Western food, as that is the way most Singaporeans expect it. Probably not in the true Hi-so end. I am sure the places with stars know what they are doing.
The fish just has to be fresh. Like in Sashimi. Would your GF cook that?

Thanks JS.For what it's worth, the owner of the Underground is the same owner of Ipanema in OT. When I was there the bartends and staff were wearing Ipanema shirts. Pretty much the same Sunday crowd that leaves the top floor of OT around 6 pm when the European women take over and instead of going to Ipanema they head there. Pretty fun crowd and if you are there and can have the time to work in a maid who only has one day off a week plenty there to start working on LT relationships. I was there only for a few days and didn't have time to spare.

Your girl should not tell any lies, even little ones, as that constitutes grounds for deportation. For example, she might be asked if you she is alone (the immigration officer may have already asked you if you are alone), and answer the opposite of you. This is what happened to me several years ago (my GF decided that telling immigration that I was her BF would identify her as a prostitute because I was twice her age. I had identified her as my GF).
Also, the hotel reservation should show that the hotel is already paid in full. I always take a pdf of the reservation and use photoshop or illustrator to add a line that says "PAID IN FULL" just so immigration doesn't have to work to hard to figure things out.

Might be luck, but it generally only takes 2 weeks in China for me to be struck down with something.

Yes, the cases in question do involve catering but you would think that Mandarin Orchard, TungLok Millennium, Spize, etc. would maintain excellent food hygiene standards and that the hawker centers would have somewhat lower. In fact, the food poisoning cases were NOT related to improper food storage as you may hope / believe. At Mandarin it was due to improper cleaning of vomitus and banquet servers who continued to work while ill. At FoodTalks, it was due to using the same prep table for raw and cooked food items along with a cockroach infestation. At Tung Lok it was because of poor hygiene including a lack of soap for handwashing.
Is Singapore food safe? It's pretty good but myself and others who actually live here are cautious.

I am a self confessed sucker for Asian food and I have tried just about everything under the sun and the shade, in restaurants, food courts, hawker centers, soup kitchens, streets, handcarts, etc. Never had any problems with anything, even in China where food quality is decidedly dubious, unless you are eating at good medium to high end restaurants. I rarely eat any Western food these days, except for a good burger when I get a craving for one. But I guess I am just blessed with a strong constitution and a cast iron stomach. No allergies either. Life is good in Asia.

I went to orchard towers just to see what's the fuss is all about, I was in 3rd floor and 2 good looking chicks convinced me to go to bar with them, I was thinking with my the** but was thinking about Thailand setup in regards to bars and hostess, anyway they took me to bar and asked me if I want to buy drink, I said no but wouldn't mind lady drink depending what they offer. So they said $120 with 2 of them and six shots of tequila. Bar was empty by the way, so I thought OK they would FJ or at least HJ multiple pops, but instead of taking me to room they did it right their the HJ, came fast but got cleaned up, kinda embarrassing but really felt the place was not for me, I told them to drink my shots since I didn't want to drink much and I wanted to make sure I'm not getting spiked. After the shots was finished they were asking me tip I thought the 120 was the entire price but they had me to corner and security guard was slightly eyeing so I was looking in my wallet and they just took $50 saying it be for both of them.
Then a 3rd game came out of nowhere asking me to tip her $10 even thou she didn't do anything, I said f** no and just left, I didn't like to be in that kind of situation. I learned not to have 2 chicks control you.
Since I was hoping FJ but didn't get I thought might as well go to get massage and call it a day regardless of legit or not. So I went to holiday inn orchard (saw ad on happymassage) and place doesn't exist, thought of going home then I saw a great place.

For me, half the adventure of traveling is gastronomical, so I've eaten everywhere and pretty much everything everywhere I've been in Asia and Africa, and rarely regretted the experience. My diet now is largely Asian, though I do eat French and Italian foods from time to time.

Straits Times just had a couple of articles on people chowing down on cockroach laden coffee and soup. If you have lived here for any amount of time you would know that this portends a food safety / cleanliness campaign in a month or so.
As for wet markets, it's unfortunate that they no longer have live animals and that the poultry is virtually all thawed out rather than fresh. Nothing is fresher than picking out a chicken in the morning, butchering and steaming it for dinner later on. It is nice, though, to still be able to pick out 3 bags of bok choy for $2 as I did for my dinner last night.

Third, I think I know what place you went to. About a decade ago, there used to be a naughty massage place on the top floor of Cuppage Plaza and I went to visit. Pig Organ soup is a very common and delicious hawker offering. Pork liver, tongue, tripe, intestines. All very common. For many visitors, places like OT and Brix and some of the Asian 'health spa' places are an eye-opener.

3. High class girls to take back to a hotel, well, that rules out most OT and even Brix women, you can find some freelancers at say Clarke Quay but I would suggest hitting Brix on your first evening, find any interesting lady and tell her you've just arrived and are jet-lagged but maybe you can catch up tomorrow, get her mobile number for WeChat and then the next day she can call and maybe better dressed than the more hooker-like Brix getup. Another option depending on your hotel is to check the hotel bar, often there are freelancers at the bar who are available for guests and they look more the part than a Brix or OT pickup. Also fire up WeChat and look for 'people nearby', make sure you are visible to them and it's not uncommon to get a response that way.

Not as good as they used to be what with actual laws specifically against BBBJs now, but cheerleader-quality young ladies from all over Europe and the rest of the world can be had for the cost of a 50-80 Entry fee plus about 50-75 for a half-hour session not including any extras.

I have to say, I'm getting over those 'freebies' on WeChat, Blendr / Baidoo, Date In Asia etc. Putting aside the need to work through all the OFWs and DHs, I am coming back to the wisdom of paying them not to visit you but to leave when you're finished. Yes there's fun in the hunt, thrill of the chase etc but after a while you realise the time and 'energy' this takes, plus dealing with them afterwards.

Arriving flight: SIN immigration is generally pretty quick and efficient, and you'll be out the door of the terminal before you know it. Taxi to the city is maybe 20 minutes tops and $30, Grab.
(there's no Uber in Singapore anymore, so Grab is basically Uber there) is rather cheaper. MTR train is maybe 30 minutes and of course cheaper but you have to change stations at Tanah Merah, you'll be on the green line which is pretty good for the city and nearby parts like Bugis and Chinatown's Outram Park.
So it's easy to get out of Changi and easy top get to any part of the city which offers fun distractions. Most here will recommend Geylang for that, and Geylang is on your way from the airport to the city (https://www.google.com/maps/place/Geylang, +Singapore / at 1. 3218993,103. 8527752,13 z / data=!4 m5!3 m4!1 s0 x31 da1823 d0599 f7 d:0 x500 f7 acaedaa590!8 m2!3 d1. 3200544!4 d103.8917746) so it's faster and cheaper than the Taxi / Grab options mentioned above for the CBD.
Heading back to the airport is also fast and easy, and once again the airport is very efficient. Just note that in T1, T2 and T3 (SQ is T3) there's a security check at each individual boarding gate, unlike most airports where the main security check is once you go from 'landside' to 'airside' at the terminal, and given the length of the terminals, you won't want to cut your return timing too tight or you will be sprinting through the airport! But I have walked into T3 some 45 minutes before my SQ flight without any drama. If you have airport lounge access you might opt to come back sooner than that and relax, have a meal and a drink, even so, being at your Changi terminal 60 minutes before your flight departs is a good rule.
As you have five hours, however, I reckon you will have plenty of time!
Allow a lazy 30 minutes from arrival of your flight to stepping into a taxi or Grab (it'll actually be more like 20), another 20-30 (again, lots of wiggle room) for getting to Geylang, 15 to walk up and down and around for the 'scenery' of this unique corner of Singapore and to choose the place you want, or just head for a good one reviewed here; a 60 minute session at most; 20-30 back to Changi; and you still have an easy two hours before your flight, so there's a decent hour up your sleeve allowing for being back at the airport 60 minutes before the flight.
Depending on the time of the day I would be tempted to soak up a little more of the Singapore scene, if your flight is in the evening maybe go from Geylang to East Coast Lagoon Food Village,. There's quite an expansive lobby area where guests could meet you if that's required. If you wish to avoid 'the walk of shame', take the upper level walkway from T3 as this goes past the restaurant rather than the lobby and reception desk.

Even if you had barely 90 minutes between flights, such as the Singapore stopover of BA15 or BA16, you could go through immigration, walk out of the terminal and then come straight back in again. Not something you would do of course, but there's nothing to stop you leaving the terminal regardless of how little time there is between your flights, and six hours is sufficient for fun if you plan it right.

Here's a tip for any punters making their first visit to Singapore. If you're used to using Uber, be aware that Uber doesn't operate in Singapore. Uber's South-East Asia operations were bought out by the local competitor Grab, which is the main 'ride-sharing' service in most of south-east Asia.
The Grab app is easy to set up, just like Uber, and also offers options to pay by card or cash. There's also a popular Grab pickup area at Changi for when you arrive, plenty of drovers always nearby and your job when assigned will even let you know which 'door' of this pickup area to meet at.
Sure, you can still catch a taxi, and they're still good value and clean, but Grab is cheaper and also has the advantage of being able to pick you up anywhere in the city, while taxis can only pick you up from designated pick-up areas such as taxi ranks or at hotels, shopping malls and larger office blocks. Some taxi drivers will pick you up if you hail them, especially late in the evenings if things are quiet, but if they are observed doing so by police they cop a massive fine. So if you've finished a punt in a massage place which isn't close to an MRT station and it's pretty hot weather you might rather call a Grab, as they can collect you from anywhere.

I've read write a few reports across multiple ISG countries of people getting a good GFE and even managing to get a travelling companion during the daytime for a couple days, like a week long non stop escort service.
I'm fairly me to this kind of thing, but I think the would be ideal since I would prefer to not not be sightseeing alone for a few days. Can you guys give some advice regarding:
1. Do you have to be quite charming for them to want to hang with you? I'm neither attractive, nor charming.
2. How much would you have to pay. Do you have to pay them extra? Or just a standard LT for each night? Or can it be negotiated to be less than daily LTs if you're "buying in bulk" (she knows she won't have to ply herself at bars for a few nights).
3. Do they expect or pester you to buy them gifts when you go places and if so, hour much? I'm perfectly happy to pay for all entry tickets, transport and food (comfy air conditioned Michelin tier restaurants, not $3 Hawker stalls).
4. How well would GFE in public daytime work with a language barrier? I'm guessing most people would say to have a good conversation with the girl before choosing, but I'd be curious to know other people's experiences.
5. Would it be really obvious to Singaporeans that I'm walking around with an escort? I'm assuming that the girls will know to wear normal clothes.
6. It seems like Thai and Viet girls give the best service and GFE, whilst PRCs are somewhat mechanical in their service and souless in they GFE. It sounds like I ought to steer clear of them no matter how pretty and flirtatious they seem?
I'm not really sure what working girls so when the bars are closed, so I don't know how available they are.
