I just read some postings left by people with experiences at Orchard Towers. People that have not visited Singapore usually that don't realize that it is a very rich country, and in my opinion is the most Westernized of all Asian countries. Therefore, the skills you need to pick up women here are pretty much the same as in any developed western country.

To be very direct, those punters that are unable to meet and bed (non pro) girls in their home country are unlikely to be successful doing so here, at least if they are in town on a short trip of only a few days.

Those that live here, however, usually find that they can do quite a bit better here than in their home country. As in any country, there is something of a food chain here. The Filipina maids are probably the easiest to meet and bed (go to Lucky Plaza on Sundays), but in my opinion are the least attractive of the major ethnic groups here.

You do get some wild party girls (otherwise known as SPGs) of the other ethnic groups, particularly Malay and Chinese, but picking these girls up at a bar is a hit and miss affair -- as anywhere, the better looking you are and the smoother you talk, the better your chances. If you are in your 50's or 60's, overweight and sloppy, your chances are virtually nil.

There are a handful of bars that may have more eager girls looking for one night stands (Brix at the Hyatt, for example), but there is no guarantee of success at any of these places either.

There are a couple of places here where I think the odds of picking up high class girls are pretty fair, but I'm afraid I am not willing to share them on a public forum -- I apologize for my selfishness, I don't want the places flooded with horny bastards ruining my night. I just returned from a week in Singapore and I had an excellent experience mongering. Geylang was definetely my best bang for the buck and a short cab ride from the main part of the city (Suntec City). The trick to getting there is having a specific street and pronouncing it right to the taxi driver. "Lorong 12 Geylang" (pronounced low wrong twelve gay lang) will get you to the middle of the district (a 10 block x 5 block area).... which at night is full of street walkers & mongers (mostly Indian and Malay with a few westerners milling about). Just about any brightly lite doorway is a brothel. Arrived in S'pore Sunday night after a long flight from the East Coast. I had read that all the action was around the Orchard Towers so I had booked the Orchard Hotel on Expedia for the first night at US$80/night.

Just come back from biz trip in Singapore.

As far as visitor friendliness is concerned it is as always a matter of luck (plus how obviously your companion does or doesn't look like a hooker) but I would imagine it is not the ultimate in girl friendliness compared to Orchard Hotel or Orchard Parade.

MucStrangerYou are correct, though there is a shortcut which brings you round the side of the Four Seasons to the back of Forum Galeria and by the Hard Rock Cafe, from there cross the road at the Orchard Parade Hotel lights, and you are at Orchard Towers, it will halve the walking time, but if the weather is nice by all means take the route mentioned above because you will probably encounter some street walkers along the way which may be worth a look.

Sounds like a first trip to Singapore.

Unless you like to overpay, there's no need to reserve in advance. Many places to meet and pick up a lady for the evening. I've been to a few:

1. Orchard Towers: Probably 6 or 7 bars there, Ipanema on floor 2 is the largest. One club on the 4th floor has a moderate cover charge. Top of stairs to the right. I forget the name. It has classier ladies. Figure 200 sing for the night, some want 300

2. Street walkers in the area: Haven't taken any, but they are there.

3. Brix: Basement of Hyatt on Scotts Road. A good meeting place. Won't be hard to spot the ladies who are available

I reckon we underestimate the girls ability to run their business sometimes. Many are just moving around in a constant circle - Singapore, Hong Kong, KL, Home to Bangkok or HCMC. Basic essence of the story is that cabs line up outside OT in the early hours of the morning, and the drivers get out and approach single men (especially foreigners) offering taxis - and, if they say yes, women. The driver then phones a woman from their list, takes you to a rendez-vous where you can decide whether you like her or not (some of them wait in the OT multi-storey car park); you pay the cab driver ($150 - $200) and he in turn pays the woman.

The newspaper reporter appears to have tried this, and it worked (although he didn't go through with the transaction.

I wondered if anyone on the Board had tried this, and whether it worked OK for them?

Taxis in front of OT on Orchard are a pain in the butt.... I never take them. They always want to charge more for a ride than any of the other taxis. Go around the corner and pick one up. Why do you need someone to show you where to go when you are already there? If you can't find a "date" in Singapore then there is something wrong with you.

I agree with you. Of course it's easy to find a #'date' in Singapore. I had a great time last night with a girl from Ipanema, and will post about that when I get a minute.

But there are more than a few options, and it's interesting to know which ones lead to a good evening. It's not a matter of there being 'something wrong' with anyone who's curious as to exploring all of the options...

And since the newspaper article suggested that these taxi guys can tap into an interesting and different pool of talent, I'd still be curious to know whether anyone has tried that particular route to meet ladies (NOT just as an alternative to hiring a cab from the stand round the corner).

You both could have taken the effort to read a few postings.

Best location to go to is Orchard Towers, a shopping mall on Orchard Road (main shopping area) that houses a large number of bars that have loads and loads of available girls. Mostly Thai, quite a few Vietnamse, some Indonesian. Recently the Russians came back. Best bars are Ipanema on 2nd floor and Top Ten on 4th floor. Most other bar have lady boys, especially Crazy Horse.

Both bars have a live band which is usually quite good. Top Ten has an excellent DJ too.

Ipanema is bit let classy then Top Ten. Starts earlier though, Top Ten only gets busy after midnight. Prices in Ipanema about $150 for LT. Top Ten is more expensive but the girls are more beautiful (not per se better!!) Prices start at 250 for LT and go up to 400-500 for the "super model" category. Girls in Top Ten are a lot pickier. Many don't like old, fat or ugly men. Many also prefer Caucasian and don't take Asian guys. Dunno why. Girls are Ipanema take anything... Oh, the Russians are usually more expensive then the Asian girls. Dunno why, I prefer Thai anyway :-)

The last time I stayed at the Meritus Mandarin the security guard stopped me while I was headed to the lift with a girl in tow and made me go the the front desk and register her. This is the first hotel I've stayed at in Singapore to do this and needless to say eliminated any sense of discretion. On top of that I didn't like the hotel all that much so it is no longer on my list of places to stay in Singapore. I've stayed at the Marriott, the Sheraton and a few others that the names escape me in Singapore and never had to register a visitor.

JonTom, may I ask when that happened? I stayed at the Meritus Mandarin twice in January and had no problems whatsoever. I brought girls in four times in as many nights. On one stay I was upgraded to a posh suite and even brought the lady up on the VIP lift at the back.

On my last visit I stayed at the Holiday Inn Atrium (the former Concorde Hotel) and can confirm it too is girl friendly. As with the other posters, I've yet to see a hotel in Singapore that wasn't.

Saturday:

On arrival I had forgotten which was the lady boy haunt but a glance inside confirmed the one. I had a few beers with a fellow northerner expat who guided me on pricing. I nearly took a Filippina with a stunning body until she told me she was on the 7am flight out of town. I also came close to employing an Indonesian lady whose nipples nearly broke my ribs when she bumped into me. I told her my price and she said no. She did another 2 circuits and came back and agreed to my price only for a minute later going back to her original price. I guess she must do more laps than Jenson Button at that rate.

I also got a new watch battery and a new casio watch with a 50 metres water resistance for 30 SD. More importantly I could tell the time without the aid of my specs.

I hopped in a taxi to the ferry (10SD) as soon as I got in the terminal I suffered a bout of brain death. I forgot the name of the recommended ferry company, never saw any money changers, humped my own bag to the departure lounge and sat there waiting for the Penguin Ferry. Everything went like clockwork. I had a chuckle on the ferry as on my last trip the theme word was billy as in Billy no mates, Billy new suit etc. Here they had a Boiling Billy in the snack bar. I got a few glances from some of the younger female passengers which I accepted as a good omen for the next few nights.

Immigration a breeze (go to the left). Changed some SD's and asked at one of the two Hotel desks for the Panorama. I was directed to the other desk and got a deal inc breakfast at 69 SD,s. I was directed to a taxi queue and took a price of 35000Rps.
The taxi was stopped on the forecourt of the Panorama and checked for bombs!

The hotel was excellent as was the service. I took a walk for a fact finding mission and found everywhere dead at that time of the afternoon including Lucys and PP Bananas.
Got a shave for 20000RPs. At this point I wished I had got better info on the MPs and karaoke places.

I went out at night and kept to the bars who all had some available talent at different levels. A couple took my eye but I didn't do a deal. I ended up in a bar watching 'Final Score' for the last ten minutes of the Premiership Season. Delighted that former Shayman Geof Horsfield had knocked one in for the Baggies I did a deal with a very attractive girl. On all my previous transactions the price was given in RP's without the thousands, i.e. 20000Rps was 20. I concluded the deal going from 100 to 150 for LT.

I had an excellent night.

Monday

Had a little problem concluding the financial aspects as she claimed the deal was done in SD's not RP's. This was resolved to mutual satisfaction.

Breakfast in the hotel. I've never had beef bacon before and will never have it again. Bloody awful. It pissed down in the morning and only later did I get out to check the internet cafe and the locations of some of the MP's. I set off in search behind the Goodway Hotel. I wish it said to the left as I walked a fair bit to the right first. Having spotted a couple I had a beer and went back for a snooze. When I woke up rain was torrential again. However it soon stopped and I went I search of the talent.

I tried the Sidona County and had a beer. It was a strange fishbowl as it wasn't tiered and you did not see all the merchandise on display. I did see a couple of possibles but discounted one as she appeared to have a cigarette welded to her hand. Business must have been slow as they cleaned the glass in the bowl so punters could get a better look. It seemed to work as a punter came in pointed the finger paid the money and marched out with his bride all in the space of a couple of minutes.

I moved on th a KTV place called Orchid but was not impressed. I went back to Sidona and after another beer selected R. On the march back to the Panorama I was acosted by a group of kids asking for 1000RP as they were hungry. I marched all 4 to a street side cafe and sat them down. What do you want to eat? 'Chicken' '4 chicken meals please' The locals were amazed by this Mister treating the kids. Drinks? 3 Cokes and one orange. Sum total 34000RP 2 quid, 3 dollars a bargain to see them tuck in. I also got a few brownie points with R and she set about me with enthusiasm back in the room. Later she told everybody we met what I had done.

I wanted to try a Food Court and the hotel staff recommended A1. When we got there things fell into place. A large open air space with umpteen tables and kitchens all around the outside. What really clicked were the beer girls. Miss Vodka Miss Heineken Miss Tiger. I must have had a free drinks sign on my back as loads of the beer girls came by to sit and chat and for me to buy them a beer. R introduced me to her 'sister' who did not have much of a family resemblance but she did promote a vodka drink. I bought quite a few drinks for the extended family. As we left the sister made arrangements to stay in my room after she finished work at 2am. Who was I to disagree.

She duly arrived and decided to get in bed with us fully clothed!!!!! At least I managed to get her out of her jeans and into my trunks!!!!!

Tuesday

She coughed all night and kept saying she was sick when I mentioned horizontal entertainment in place of room rent. She left in the morning full of smiles. I left R in bed and went down for breakfast minus the beef bacon. Outside was the sister shouting at one of the bell hops. I went out to see what the problem was and she hurled abuse at me saying she hated me. I shrugged my shoulders and went back in.

The previous night I had extended my stay in the hotel for another night. I had a post breakfast nap and was in the middle of a bonk when the phone rang. Reception wanted to know if I was checking out. I explained the situation only to be told I needed another voucher to maintain the cheap rate (the other option was the rack rate of 120 SD's - 51 dollars more!). I asked if she was serious? Had I to go back to the terminal and get another voucher. I ring you back Mr Jaime. I just got the engine started again when she rang back. You can pay me cash and I will get you the voucher.

As R was treating me good I gave her the cash (280,000RPs) to book another day. She cleared off with a return time of 5pm agreed.

At the appointed time she returned with a friend. We had a chat and her friend was coming with us for a meal but she wanted a shower first as I did. She went first and was ages so I popped my head round the door to see she was in the bath. I does rain a lot in Batam but I thought we had better save water and she washed all my bits for me. Unfortunately the bath lead to my new watch shipping in water. I was on the 10th floor nowhere near 50 metres below sea level.

We had the Golden Prawn recommended so I booked the hotel taxi for a couple of hours and headed out. I drew out half a million from an ATM on the way. The place was impressive but bloody expensive. There were a number of locals eating there so I guess I had bule price stamped all over me.

Back in the room 2 for one was mentioned and I agreed. Having seen what the friend had to offer in the bath that was a no brainer. In a twinkle R was in the bathroom and we were in our birthday suits. Very nice it was too.

On conclusion they said they wanted to go to Pacific Disco for a mates birthday party. I said I was too old and going early in the morning and they could go and not bother coming back. There is only so much a body can take!

Unfortunately I was unable to tip them because of the Golden Prawn prices and I only had 50000 Rps for the taxi in the morning. Not a problem they said. They were probably relieved they didn't have to boom boom me any more. I classed bonking the friend as having a free one.

When they had gone I got the wanderlust and searched all my pockets in discarded clothes and found another 350000 that I had forgotten about due to trying to keep all the beer girls in a job the night before. So I went out for a few beers. I had only been in town a short time but still ladies were calling my name as I walked down the street.

I went in the Last Pub and got a bollocking for not bringing my England Euro 2004 shirt for them to nail to the ceiling. I fell in lust with one of the staff there. Next was the Ice Pub and then back to the hotel for the shirt. I handed it over and a cheeky Australian advised them to disinfect it first, I could only assume he was jealous.

I missed out on Miss Lust but took a chunky older lady (32) back for the bargain price of 100,000RPs. She did a great massage and she squirted me in the eye with Mothers Milk.

Wednesday

Good place to go for cheaper alternative to Singapore. I'm sure super hotel bargains can be found however Panorama is good value for a first visit. Read up well before you visit. Don't expect a tourist location. Not a shoppers paradise.

Was in Singapore last weekend. Not sure if the hotel was GF, so decided to call up the escort services from the yellow pages lying conveniently by the bed side.

I had a night to monger here due to my Filipina nurse friend from Australia having a loose idea of which day we were supposed to meet. (Filipina calendar and not Filipina time?)

After my first 6 days here I am not overly impressed my best experience so far was in Geylang at Lorong 16 h66A a beautiful Thai who really new how to please.

G'Day all!

Some of you may recall i mentioned having organised a visit into Singapore from a friend in HCMC. Well things developed from there, and i had no sooner settled dates etc. and i had a call from a very lovely friend in Bangkok. This girl i have also known over a period of 2 years and is a gem. personally I have only scouted out Geylang, but tried a few from OT. I would recommend OT because the girls are in "normal" bars, so you can freely go around, talk to whoever you want and still chill out with a beer if you want.
Geylang is an area of a few blocks where each street offers girls from a certain region. You can ask a cab driver to take you around or just drop you off, and you can just walk around on the street and look at the girls. It seems a bit more organised in Geylang, I assume all have pimps, while in OT you will find more FL's who have found their way on their own.

There are plenty of hotels near OT, closest are Hilton and Orchard Hotel but even Grand Hyatt is within walking distance.

OT is the most common Qui lo (white ghost) spot for us caucasions. It is also referred to as the 4 floors of *****s. If you go there avoid the top floor, especially Crazy horse, lot of lady boys there (transvestites, pre and post op). I must admit that in Singapore i tend to prefer KTV's to bars – I am not a real KTV guy, but the bars in Singapore leave a lot to be desired sometimes, especially in terms of finding nice looking Chinese girls. So off we go on my KTV tour of Singapore.

1. The 1st place is Las Vegas KTV Club. This is on 407 Havelock Road #05-01, Furama Riverfront Circular Block (Formerly Apollo Hotel) – phone is 65 6738-9888. This place is an up market KTV designed to attract the new generation of hip young KTV executives, as a result its more expensive than a normal KTV. Its about $300 for a bottle and the tip for the girls is normally $50, plus don't forget the mama-san and other staff. Girls are nice, although English is not so great. They will go home with you. The establishment is nice, rooms modern and well decorated. A good place to impress friends.

2. The next place is Ego's 1 KTV Lounge. Location is 22 Belilios Lane #01-03, Ph 6298-9929. This is a bit of an unusual KTV, it closes early, midnight from memory, so you need to get their early to enjoy it fully. This is one of those lap dancing KTV's, with the gimmick being the girls will dress in nurses or school uniforms during certain days. Nice looking girls, wearing sexy uniforms. They do the typical on your lap special activity, showing off their upper assets. Most pleasant. They do bufferfly or dedicated, your choice. Tips for butterfly is typically $50, and I assume more if you get a dedicated girl. I prefer butterfly. The room costs are OK, somewhere around the $200+ range for a bottle. The rooms are a bit old and it closes early, but otherwise excellent entertainment if you want to try something kinky. I am not sure if they provide take-way. I suspect not.

3. Next is Dynasty Classic. This is a KTV specialising in Chinese girls. They are all pretty, but are not very aggressive and its unclear if they provide take-away service. I prefer this place if I feel like a very laid back experience. The costs are typical, $50 per girl, $200+ per bottle. Location is No 1 Sophia Road 02-29/30 Peace Centre (Near Podium) ph 6333-3331.

4. Next is Prosperity KTV & Theatre Lounge. I have only been here once and it seems to be similar to Ego's. The girls are average, but are very aggressive and allow all sorts of funny business. I don't think they provide take-away. Cost is average. Location is 32 Tras Street, ph 6222 3313. On Friday and Saturday nights they are normally full, so it must be a good place.

5. Finally we have The Century KTV, which is my favourite place. Its primarily Vietnamese women, they are nice to look at and are young and eager. They provide take-away service and will provide you with their numbers so you can call them any time, any place. They are only in Singapore for a short time, so I am assuming they want to maximise there earning potential. Take-away costs are reasonable, about the $100 mark. I am not sure if they provide any form of bizarre services, but I get the feeling they are game for most activity. The location is 195 lavender Street #03-01/08, Eminent plaza, ph 6294-1945. The KTV is modern, clean and nice. The costs are typical (see above) there is some form of early bird rate, where the room is cheaper, but I can't remember the price as i never get their before 10pm.

The primary caveat I need to make is most KTV's cater mainly for Singaporean guys, there are few laowai's which go to these establishments, but as a British laowai I never have any issues with frequenting these places, although language may be an issue if you don't speak any mandarin in places like Dynasty and Las Vegas, you should have no issues in the other KTVs. So for those Da BooHow laowai's.

I was in Singapore recently and was taken to Joo Chiat for some drinks with my friends. I was in Singapore recently and made my required pilgrimage to Orchard Towers. The scene on the outside seemed more demure but the activity on the inside is still as plentiful as ever. In the past, I had contented myself with Ipanema. This time however, I decided to try TOP TEN since I had read about it in the forum. The girls there are mostly Thai, and Vietnamese with a sprinking of Indonesian, and are dressed more up market. You seldom see blue jeans and sandals. They are well dressed, and well groomed and therefore ask for a premium rate. Looks are average to nice and there are a few very good looking ones there but they know it and will not negotiate.

Someone in the Forum asked about the ratio of Asian men in Top Ten and I would say that on the nights I was there, there were about 30 to 40 % Asian men there (of the total men) and the girls seemed to care little. The amount of money one has is more of a predictor of success in TOP TEN than one's race.

Suggested approach tactics in TOP TEN differ. However, I must recommend the direct approach. If you see a girl that fits your criteria, don't waste time or she will be gone. Approach her, talk to her and invite her to sit down and for a drink. You don't get extra points for shyness in TOP TEN.

Invariably, there will be some girls that may come and talk to you. If they are not your type, then I suggest you unburden yourself as fast as possible. You can probably save 50 Sing dollars by going to Ipanema in my opinion. So the common acceptance rate there is going to be 100 to 150 Sing dollars even though they will initially ask for more.

Girls there are Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino and Indonesian and a few girls from China.

Asian men at Ipanema are about in the same ratio as at TOP TEN.

Went to Dragon Health Spa with a local Chinese friend against his advice. He had heard bad reports but after reading a few posts here, we tried it anyway. The front counter staff makes customers pay fifty dollars first under the promise that they will send beautiful girls. Yeah right.

We both sent back three dogs each until giving up and accepting two 5/10 mid-thirties has-beens. After fifteen minutes of pushing her palms on my back in the worst massage in memory, she offers HJ for 50 and 100 total to take her top off. No thanks.

Barged out to complain and they apologized sending in a 6/10 for a better massage but same offer for HJ. I thought this was about poor service reserved for white foreigners but my friend had the same experience. Mongers beware, this place is a scam.

Tingle Tree OT and Geylang are quite far from each other. My suggestion is if you want very close to OT you can go for Orchard Parade Hotel across the road or if you want very close you can try the Meritius depending on your budget. The Meritius is right behind OT towers and you can use the bottom floor entry if you get your girl before 11pm. Both are very easy to bring a girl back to your room.

Also not too far away is the Hotel Phoneix (about a 10-15 min walk). Hotel Phoneix is also right on an MRT station so very good easy way to get to Geylang. Enjoy you stay.

Been back in Singapore for a couple of nights now, and I've been gravitating to OT for some action. I had forgotten how busy Saturday nights can be in the OT. For the safety of the guest, the security will ask for the identity of the girl or girls you are bringing into your room. They want to make sure nothing happens to you. If register with the security that you are bringing the girl/s and if she leave your room in the middle of the night, they will call you in your room to make sure you are all right before they let her go.

After all this time of reading the forum and only doing a couple of posts asking questions, I guess it's time to add my comments. This current trip was my first return to Asia since 1985 (with exception of a couple of trips to Japan for short terms of 3 days in early 1990's). My first visit to Asia was in 1960 during my Uncle Sam's long term sponsored excursion and fun travel tours. For those of you who are tempted to say something about no build-up until 1964 or 65, please hold off. Check your history. The first casualty is often thought to be an Air-America pilot in 1954 during Dien Bien Phu. Advisors were there from 1959 onward. Anyway, on to better things.

Started in Japan, where business (and wallet) didn't prevent hobbying.

A brief report on Ipanema. Rolled in very late last night (around 3.30 after partying the night away elsewhere).

S$250 for ST is a little expensive dont you think?....you can get an overnighter for this price.$250 is expensive even from an escort agency. Some of them try it on and quote $250 or even $300 for short-time but if you state that you know the score they will come down to $200 easily for short-time and if you push you state that you use another service but have been disappointed by quality you can usually go straight to the "regulars" rate of $200 for 90 minutes or $160 for ST.

The big issue isn't so much price with the Escort Agencies it's quality. Some are very willing but more than likely a 5 or 6/10. Not bad enough to send away but not the model you were hoping for.

If anyone knows a "high class" escort agency that will provide the quality of the escort agencies in BKK then let me know. I'm a lazy bugger at times and the thought of going out is often too much when the phone is next to me.
