There are two versions of the Jin Joo Hee video available on Kazaa. One is 26 minutes long and the otherl asts over 40 minutes. Get the 40 minute version! I cannot stress that enough. The point of the story is that you will see assholes across every cultures and these assholes are always going to prey on the weak or the side that is outnumbered. Somebody asked me about Taiwan. Yeah Taipei has some RLDs but they are not as prominent as other countries. The girls I believe are not as attractive. Haven't been here in awhile since the boards were down for so long.. but I see a whole bunch of new discussions.. let me chime in on a couple things here...
First Korean girls and Foreigners... If you are in a big city like Seoul, you are not going to get harassed if you are seen with one. It /does/ happen, but its the exception, not the rule. Hollywood Basement is the Basement portion of the Hollywood Bar and Grill in Itaewon.
Anyway. If you get off at Itaewon Station you have the Hamilton Hotel on one side of the street and the Burger King on the other.

Hotel Dynasty: I have been there few times and they had a change of ownership not too long ago and as a result, have raised their price. If paying cash, it is KW 180,000; credit card, KW 200,000 even though this practice is illegal in Korea. Girls working at this type of establishment tend to be in early to mid-20s, no older. It is their job so you would rarely get GFE experience.
Barber Shops: Girls working here tend to be in 30s, not younger. At least, I have never encountered anyone younger than mid-30 in my observation. These girls are over the hill types from room salons, etc.
Room Salons: Girls are usually in early to late 20's, and they look good. A-Town is still in operation down in Kunsan. I was station there, from 83-87, before I got out of the Air Force, than the prices were still $12-$20 a night, for LT. Also back than, brothel type house were $6-$12. The Exchange rate than was 950 to $1. You could party all night with $30. Things have change alot. The changes started happen about the time of the 88 games in Seoul. They real start to change fast in the mid-90s.
If you have not been there since the late 70's, it is not the country you remember at all. I was in the military in Korea from 83-87, and than worked in a business in Seoul from 87-94. I get to Korea, 4 times a year with business still and you can see the changes with every visit. When I look back to 83, when I got to Korea to today, the country has change 100 fold.
It is great to see some of the change, but not the other changes. The night life, in Korea is many times more expenese now. When I left in 94, girl drinks were 4000, now they are 20000, a beer was 2000, now they are 5000. In 83 the girl drinks were 1200, and a beer was 600. Than, you could drive from one end of Seoul to the other in about hour, now that same distance will take you 3 to 4 hour during the day because of traffic. Air is very, very bad in Seoul everyday, probaby worst than L.A. in the middle of Summer.
The changes are great in some ways and bad in others. If you are going to Korea for the Adult fun from old, it is still there in different way, but it is a new type of game today. For Adult fun, like the Korea of the late 70's and 80's, go to Thailand. It is still the way that Korea was in the old days. For seeing Korea, it easier to tour Korea now!

Wanted to check out an old haunt recently so went to the Turkey Bath at the New Hilltop Hotel. Had good successes in the past there and with the reported change in ownership at Dynasty and poor service at Green Grass, needed to check out some alternatives.

(Note: there was a recent article in the Asian edition of Time about TDC, and it caused a bit of a stir in korea, but my last trip to TDC a few days ago proved that the clubs are still open--guess since local girls weren't involved the koreans really don't care much.) There are two main strips; outside CP Casey's main gate there over 50 clubs, and about a five minute walk from CP Hovey's gate there are about 15 clubs. I prefer CP Hovey as the area, known to the Americans as Tokori, and to the koreans as Gwang-ahm-dong, is a bit more laid back than CP Casey's front gate. Almost all the girls are Filipinas and Russians--sadly there rarely any koreans around. Some clubs specialize in one or the other, but some clubs offer both. Most mamasans (aka ah-ju-ma) have a firm control of the place, and if you're not buying lady drinks at $10 (all clubs price in dollars, and you get no foreign exchange advantage by using korean won) the girls may move on if there are other customers. Many clubs have sex shows on Fri and Sat nights. On-premise short times of 30 minutes for $60 are on offer at several. You may be able to bargain, but you have to haggle with the mamasan, not the girl. Really anything goes with the Filipinas. I don't fancy Russians so I can't give an account of their performance. All nights are available for a $$$ price. However, it's unlikely you can bring a girl back to your on-post housing. US Military curfew is at midnight Mon. - Thur. and 1AM on Fri. and Sat. Clubs usually close shortly after curfew starts. There a few inns nearby, and a room is typically 25,000 won--about $20 at today's exchange rate. They're clean and comfortable. So are the girls. I have been in the Hard Rock many times on my visits to Seoul, I would say there is no freelancer working at the Hard Rock. The Samjung Hotel is south of the Han river, along the same street as the Ritz Carlton, I think that's called tehranno or something along those lines.
It is not a nightclub in the Hong Kong or Japan sense of the word, it's a meeting place rather than a brothel. There are women working there, but no hanky panky within the walls of the club (at least not that I'm aware of).
In terms of cost, my associate paid the bill and we didn't avail ourselves of any professional services. But I think one can figure that if they are charging 90,000 won just for the girl to sit with you and keep you company, taking her out is gonna end up costing money.

Hello everyone it has been awhile since I last posted anything. But for those that maybe wondering what I have been doing, let me tell you. I have been honing my negotiating skills up on the ¡°Hill¡±.
zhuhai_guy¡¦ use won you will not spend as much. Going rate for BB Shops are between 60,000 ~ 100,000 with 80,000 being the average. For 80,000 you should be able to get FS but ask before you enter all the way in.
jimhart69¡¦most any of the double BB shop poles you should have success for 80,000 won.
Once again I must emphasis that no one should pay more than 30,000~60,000 won for tang up there. I have been able to consistently get laid up on the hill for 50,000 won and under. In addition to that I do not buy drinks for them or myself there. Many of these girls want to get you in the bar before negotiating anything but once you are in there is less room for you to negotiate anything. I am sure that many of you have heard them say that they only want to talk to you for a minute inside the club. Try to avoid that situation if possible¡¦sometimes it is ok but I would rather not waste my time because once you are in they try to get you to buy drinks before they will talk to you about sex¡¦in addition they can get you bound up in buy a drink or two in addition to paying for sex. They will try to work the extra drinks into the deal. Granted you can say no to the drinks deal but then they might to try to downplay their services to HJ or BJ. They may say that they are not allowed to do it for whatever reason¡¦it is all BS¡¦they can do it in most places that have a concealed corner for play or if there is only one person in the club they can simply lock the door for a short while.
I am still in search of these Turkish bath joints that everyone is talking about. I would like to do a comparison with a TB and the double barber pole places. Seoulmate--I posted a lot about about TDC on 31 Oct. To get there w/o a car you can take an inter-city bus or train. The Seoul subway goes as far north as Uijongbu, which is about 20 km south of TDC. You should be able to find a bus going to TDC from Uijongbu station. I can't provide specifics as I drive, but I used to rely on public transport throughout korea so I'm pretty confident. If you can read hangul you should have no problem. If you can't read hangul you can learn it in a few hours--it isn't Chinese. Once you're at TDC you can hail a cab and ask for CP Casey in English. I lived in Korea in the late 80's, and just started to return this past fall. Things have changed considerably!

For months, I have been reading about the very bad service and all the rip offs on the hill. It has been many years since I have played on the hill, so on my current trip, I decided to play a little on the hill.

I have to second this, I have been with Jina a few times as well and she's well worth it. She doesn't try to rip you off or plug you for drinks. In fact, one time I didn't even buy her a drink. Arriving at 6 am? It takes at least 1 hr from Incheon airport to Seoul (even on that early morning) then you arrive on 7:30 am, including immigration procedure. Assuming you spend 30 minutes on finding a PLACE, you could be there on 8:00 am. Then you have maximum of 1 and a half hour to enjoy, cause you will have to rush to airport again to catch the noon flight.
By taxi, to and from airport and Seoul metropolitan area would be at least KRW 100,000, to spend just 1 and a half hour costs around KRW 180,000 - 200,000, while you have to pay the visa fee if you're an American or Japanese in advance.
So...
This time, please take some rest in airport. In airport there is a massage facility (no sexual service, though) and sauna place.

If you're an ethnic korean it's a different story (not the rip off part, though), but if you're not you ought to spend your money and time in more deserving countries such as the Philippines and Thailand. Many of the punters here jump a SE Asia-bound flight whenever there's a 3- or 4-day weekend. korea, at any time, is a good place to skip if you have a choice. Pretty cold here now, too.
I've read through most of the postings on this board and find them to be very informative. I'll be in Seoul at the end of the month and would like to know if anyone can recommend a place to stay in or around the Itaewon area. I'd like a place in the three star variety, like I guess around forty or fifty U.S. a night. I don't want to stay in a Yogwan really but if anyone can recommend one that stands out above the rest than that is fine too. I'd prefer a hotel however and haven't seen much on the internet as far as hotels in that price range go. I've only seen ads for the Hamilton and Itaewon Hotel of course. I'd rather not pay a hundred bucks for a room when that money can be better put towards other pleasures. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hey, guys. Thanks for the responses. I was in Seoul for a month this past summer and I know that Korea is no heaven for sex-related activity. I'd be going to visit some friends as it would be a lot cheaper for me to go there than somewhere else considering I'd have a free place to stay.
Still, I did feel that a lot of tension during my stay there, though thankfully I didn't go through any serious incidents. But I get the feeling that things are a lot worse now than they were in August and it seems that they're about to get worse than better. Certainly having free lodging in Seoul makes it more affordable, but I'd be willing to bet you the cost of an Angeles bar fine that you'll get far more bangs for your buck in Angeles than in Seoul. You can stay in decent places--with a pool!--in Angeles for less than $20 a night. Food is very cheap, beer at $1 -$2 bottle, no pushy & pouty you-buy-me-20,000-won-drink juicy girls, and the bar fine is 1000 pesos--less than $20. "A budget of 120 million won has been earmarked for fleshing out the district's redevelopment plan."
The Office of Dongdaemun (East Gate) Ward, where the red-light district stands, drew up its redevelopment plan, but it has made little progress since then.

Well if you are coming from Seoul the best and cheapest way would be subway,train then taxi in that particular order. You would get on the subway and navigate to the green line which is line 2. Take that line and get off at the Ehwa Womens University stop. Stop #241. Then come above ground and look for signs that will lead you to the train station. Or politely ask someone. It's called Sinchon Station. Take the train north until you get to the town of paju. It's the stop after Wollong. If you miss the stop you can still get off at the next stop which is Munsan. I know for a fact that it's only 10,000 won for a taxi to Yong Joo Gol from there. But Paju is closer if your coming from seoul. Then just find a taxi and tell the driver Yong Joo Gol.
Train costs 1200 won
Subway costs 600 won
Taxi cost is negotiable
Once there you will see the windows where the women sit and wait for customers. Have fun, enjoy yourself and be careful out there. I was going this weekend but due to the recent events in Yongsan I have to stay home.

its not as bad as the media makes it out to be. i'm here and haven't noticed any hostility. i haven't seen any of those signs either. i was shopping in dongdaemun on the weekend and the koreans were their usual selves. i only got asked once, in a friendly fashion, by a shopkeeper "american?" to which i replied "no." (i'm not).
you have to understand koreans are famous for this kind of sensationalism (remember anton ono and speedskating?). they even have a word for it.. which translates roughly to "a tin pot boiling rapidly and just as rapidly cooling off". fact is, these girls died several months ago and there were no 100,000 person plus vigils in the city.. only now that the racist ilbo's have jumped on he story after the aquittals and turned sofa reform into a presidential candidate platform issue. give it a month and they'll have found something else to be pissed about.
i would avoid going to places where large numbers of drunk korean men are about (shinchon, gangnam) to drink. in itaewon on the weekends at night you see more foreigners walking about than koreans anyway.

Threre definitely is an increase is some crime against Americans, or at least GIs. If you are young, have short hair, and dressed like the typical GI, I would be cautious. I travel the subway to work everyday, and no one ever says boo to me. However, I'm not young, and I'm not a GI. I look more European than American.
There was a beating in Tongduchon this past few days, and one GI was shot with a pellet gun in the chest. If you have good manners, and are polite, don't worry. Koreans are just looking for an excuse to turn on you.

lighter9000: I think you are mistaken on your conception of this whole issue. There has always been anti-americanism in Korea for quite some time now. It has been known that there were at least 100,000 North Korean spies working in South Korea spreading anti-american rhetorics since the 70s. You can take note of this in the form of student protests during that time. During those days it was only the extreme leftest liberals that acted on these rhetorics. I believe that such elements still exists today, but the thing that worries me is that now, people who have stood on middle grounds are increasingly becoming more anti-america. This is the impression that I have gotten from my Korean friends. It is trully sad. But I have to stress that such sentiments are not of fickle in nature and took years to develop into full blossom. I just hope that it gets better soon. When it is all said and done, Korea has something to gain from America and America has something to gain from Korea. I hope this point can enlighten some people. Oh yeah, the stabbing incident is some bullshit. Don't worry about that. It's bunch of high school punks trying to think they are some mobs. I assure everybody that you have better change of getting stabbed in NYC than in Seoul even with this crisis going on.

'Room Salons' and 'Business Rooms' have in legal sense, no differences. They are classified as '1st kind entertainment facilities' in Korean law.
But in practice, they have some differences. Although all the 'business rooms' insist on their being and having no differences from room salons, we could hardly find genuine 'Room Salon' outside of Kangnam area in Seoul.
Among room salons in Kangnam area in Seoul, we categirize them into 5. They are '10%' '15%' '20%' 'Club' and 'Club with time limit'. The meaning of this classification is so complicated and hard to explain before you actually experience them.
Anyway, 'Room Salons' are more expensive than 'Business Clubs'.
For instance,
Room Salons Business Rooms
Premium Whisky KRW 250,000 KRW 150,000
Basic Sidedish KRW 150,000 KRW 100,000
Room Fee KRW 50,000 KRW 30,000 or under

let me begin by saying that my comments are meant neither to antagonize nor be unneccessarily argumentative, i just want to share some of the insight that i have accumulated over numerous conversations over many years from a very broad spectrum of people (from korean citizens ranging from students and taxi drivers to executives and professors and also from academia outside korea and also an ambassador in seoul who will remain anonymous but represents a "western" country...)
so if you don't want to get a bit of insight on this situation other than "there go those crazy koreans again" please feel free to stop reading...(and please bear in mind that i am an american and my sole purpose is to try and bring some perspective which may in some way help bridge the misunderstanding and miscommunication between two traditionally strong allies)
the tragic accident (and i fully agree that the fact that this was an accident is an important fact to bear in mind) is not the major issue from a "hard-core" korean's perspective. what is? there are several issues at different level, but in sum:
1) changes to the sofa agreement
2) a perception of american "hypocrisy" in its foreign policy
3) a general wish for more parity in the bi-lateral us-korea partnership
first off, the so-called "rising" anti-american sentiment is not all that a recent of a phenomenon. just because cnn is starting to report this issue now does not make it "news". for those who have been living or have been frequent travelers to korea (as i have) over the years and who have had a chance to speak with nationals, will realize that anti-american sentiment has been building for many years, this accident (and the subsequent acquittal of those two servicemen sparked the flashpoint which brought these underlying sentiments to a head - a crude analogy would be the rodney king riots which brought the racial tensions and the many years of police exploitation of blacks in south central l.a. to a boil)
1) the sofa (status of forces agreeement) has been a point of contention for many years (and not just in korea - those who have followed the numerous [CodeWord123] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord123) cases by us servicemen based in okinawa, japan know that the japanese have pushed for similar changes to their sofa). yes, at the end of the day us force are there for korean security - of course i bring this issue up all the time when discussing this with nationals, but they are quick to bring up the fact that just because one wears a us military uniform does not automatically absolve one of criminal activity - they don't have some kind of diplomatic immunity just b/c they serve in the military. if they commit a crime, they should be judged by that jurisdiction which the crime is committed. that actually makes a lot of sense to me. the overwhelming majority of us servicemen are stand-up guys making unknown sacrifices to serve the us and korean interests -- its the very few bad apples that give them a bad name. why have them create this kind of negative feeling within the community that they serve? of course there will be a few "bad" guys in any community -- but why protect them? and to what extent does that "protection" begin to become detrimental to the rest of the larger team -- when does this "special treatment" begin to undermine the original mandate of the us military presence? well, its happening - president-elect roh made a huge campaign platform out of this very issue and his victory underscores these very questions. imho, people who commit crimes anywhere should be accountable for those actions. (again this doesn't mean that those two servicemen should have been sent to prison, it is the principle that they were judged by a us military court that is at issue here).
before i go on to points 2 and 3, i want to make sure that i'm not taking up too much space here and perhaps get some feedback as well...
here is hoping to some constructive dialogue instead of hurling insults at one another - we are all adults here right?

There is no doubt that both countries can afford to defend themselves at this point. In essence, the US is substantilly subsidizing both countries economies, by providing this defense, for little current benefit. Lord knows, the US economy could use the stimulis that returning these billions of $ to the US would provide every year. Perhaps they would be more comfortable getting a "better" deal from the Chinese. I think not.
What is the racial situation there in Korea? I was stationed there in 1972 to 1973. During that period of time, the racial problems were intense. What does a short time cost in American dollars?

your question is a good one and although i don't have all of the answers, there are a few reasons why a US military presence in North Asia is still considered paramount to US security interests. To sum:
1) peace on the Korean peninsula (and peace in North Asia) has been kept in very large part due to the very visible US military presence both in Japan and Korea...
2) why is that peace important to US interests? well, if the North had ever attacked the South or Japan, the US would be there (that was one of the compromises that Japan made for not creating another military post-WWII and is also the reason that Japan and South Korea are NOT nuclear powers - it was a quid pro quo - the US would provide security and Japan and Korea wouldn't seek to become nuclear powers (of course it is not as simple as just that but this post is getting long already) - in sum, if war broke out US boys would be in there and many many lives would be lost - having troops in Japan and Korea has averted and continues to deter war - that kind of strategic deterrence has paid huge dividends
3) the US has a significant geo-political, strategic, and economic interests in maintaining a presence in North Asia - particularly with the rising might of China. the downing of the US spy plane earlier this year is an ominous prelude to China's future intentions. make no mistake - China does not perceive the US as a "friend" they are making clear benchmarks to the US military and want to be able to match our forces (including the Naval 7th fleet) over the coming years, and they are already bulking up their fighter forces, destroyers, subs and heavy artillery... my guess is that once they complete this build out, they are going to head south and "settle" the renegade Taiwain province issue once and for all
You are right in that Japan and Korea have the finances to defend themselves (in fact, the cost of military occupation in both Japan and Korea is actually in large part subsidized by Korea and Japan at this point) of course the personal sacrifices that US soldiers make notwithstanding, the actual "cost" of keeping forces there are largely borne by the host countries now. The money again is not the issue. The US military presence has provided stability for the region which is a long-term "insurance" policy which benefits all parties in the long run, and as Asia takes a larger table in the world economy, it is in America's best interests to have a say in helping to shape and influence policy (from foreign relations to economic issues) - in other words, packing up and leaving the US is always an option - but now more than ever, the it serves the US to be out in front and soldifying partnerships that have been forged over the decades - why leave now when for the first time the US can start to leverage and "cash in" some of the goodwill that has developed over the years?

I sure that the korean or the japanese can surely defend themselves, but the presence of US troops gives them ADDED security-much like an airbag to a seatbelt-ultimately helping the region stabilize. However, I also understand why america does not want to pull it's troops out. By pulling out from the area, america would relinquish all it's geo-political influence in the region. And you are definitely right about China. A bigger threat than N. Korea is China. China definitely does not see US as a friend. It has always and always will seek an opportunity to bring down America.

Perhaps you really are "agoodfella" - but perhaps you are too young to even remember as far back as the end of the Soviet involvement in Afghanistan and the almost simultaneous removal of Soviet troops from East Germany and the Baltic States.
The sudden influx of troops into Russia, Ukraine and Belarus led to huge rises in unemployment. With nothing better to do, the Russian Mafia grew rapidly and fiercely. Soldiers of war became soldiers of crime. These people knew two things very well: (1) How to use weapons to scare the shit out of people; and (2) How to follow a chain of command.
The American economy is slowing down - no, NOT because of 9/11 (though, this will be blamed for EVERYTHING for ever more) - but because of the natural economic cycle aided and abetted by some rather strange domestic policies pursued by GWB. It is little wonder that he is seeking war with Iraq (second largest known oil reserves in the World) - wars always kickstart stagnant economies AND "Dubya" needs to maintain ludicrously cheap oil and gas prices at home, or risk losing the next election, in 2004.
Frankly, it helps, not hinders, the US economy, to have host countries picking up most of the tab for regional defence, whilst keeping all those men and women off the unemployment lines back home.
Now, can we get back to talking about the ridiculous cost of sexual favours in Korea?

The clubs on the hill to the right are Fantasy club, Sun club, Paradise club, Sweetheart club and Club isisgebil and Club flower. It's been a year, so it may have been a bit higher, but not much. Are those places still going? If so, why would anyone pay $500-$700. Is it that much better? Can't imagine it. Anyone who pays $700US for massage is out of their mind. There are far too many places in Seoul where you can get anything and everything your little head desires for far, far less.
Just to get an important point across, the United States maintains a forward deployed military presence in Asia because there are many in high places that remember that in the last 60 years we have fought one Worl War and two regionam wars in Asia, and that it is entirely possible that we will have to do so again in the forseeable future.
Having a significant militry presence in Asia serves exactly the same purpose as putting out a booby trap -- or a Claymore. When the trip wire is hit, it sets off the action. Having military forces in theatre is a clear sign of our national commitment to respond to military actions that we see as counter to our national interests.
It also serves two other purposes as well. First off, it is a significant inducement to host countries to purchase American made defense equipment -- not an insignificant political help in finding support for the DoD budget in Washington, and a real help in providing defense jobs at American factories.
Also, in a side effect seldom considered in the Halls of Congress or in the Pentagon, it provides the opportunity for new generations of American servicemen to discover the joys of LBFMs (Little Brown F***ing Machines) and the wonderful world of sex beyond the world of Mary Jean Rottencrotch.
Having a rich uncle, who sent me "for duties beyond the seas" was one of the high points of my life.

I was only let in because of my korean friends, and also because I am good at pretending as a second generation korean-american. my good friend who happend to be white was not let in. I don't know if it had to do with anti-american sentiments, but for whatever reason, they were discriminating. Massage places like tuhki tang are cheaper probably around 170 dollars, but the quality suffers. and you can definitely get something even cheaper at barber shops or the rld, but the girls there are nasty and fugly bitches.

I was hosted many times in Seoul by a client-friend and consequently, I never paid anything for visits but the price mentioned is typical. After drinking and singing, if you want to take your girl to your room, it is additional $250. It is pricey but the quality of girls are very good, I would say in looks at least 8 or better and they are very tight in the southern area, which I love the most.
Since I was lucky to be accompanied by my client-friend who frequented this particular place behind the Star Tower, I was treated well. For instance, I tell the madam that I would not take anyone with me unless they stay for three hours or more or sleep in until the morning and always, I got what I asked for. Girls age range from 21 to 29; anyone over 30 is considered washed up and they probably end up in barber shops as they are deemed old. It is a cruel industry, I guess.
I have also been to less expensive room salons and would never venture to these places again as the quality of girls suffer drastically. It is not worth your money. Further, if you don't have someone who knows the establishment, especially as a foreigner, you will bet ripped off. Even if you are with a Korean friend and have never been to the room salon you are visiting, just pretend that you have been there before.

Strip Clubs are strictly illegal in Korea by law, but you could sometimes enjoy the semi-strip scene in clubs mostly beloved by the U.S. military people.
Pure Korean strip shows (completely nude) are available in the area of Pukchang Dong, Seoul. There are lots of clubs you could enjoy that.
Prices are a little high, but it's worth it.

There used to be a DAV club in Itaewon that had strip shows. There have been a few clubs here and there around the military base in Yongsan, but don't know if they still exist. The DAV was on the main road in Itaewon.

Looks like the anti-American sentiment topic is prevailing on these forums. I just want to add a few things. When I was in Korea this past summer, I tried passing as an American, a Canadian and a European and got the EXACT same reaction. These “anti-American” protests are just an excuse for Koreans to vent out their racist tendencies. And most foreigners who have been to Korea for an extended period of time know how “welcoming” the locals are to us. Most of my Korean friends, who thankfully are level-headed, even say that Koreans are racist.
On another note, I find it quite ironic and subsequently disturbing that the ordinary citizens of China and the Middle-East, regions that are considered “enemies” of the West, can differentiate between a nation’s government and its citizens; yet the people of South Korea, which is supposedly a modern and “forward-looking” nation cannot discern the two. I was treated better in both those “hostile” regions than I was “friendly” South Korea.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Korea, the culture, the food, some of the people and (since I frequent this site) the women, but this attitude is disturbing. And if it continues to swell, then the future of a Korea section for this website looks to be pretty dim…

Went to Itaewon my first time last night and checked out the "Hill" as well as some regular bar called The Loft. All I can say is AVOID this area as it seems the expat clientele is predominantly from the lower echelons of society.
Korea is probably the best example of the old adage "You get what you pay for." 2-3 million won for a night of drinking at a room salon and a bed companion that looks like a supermodel sure beats the Itaewon grandmas the GI drones/ESL teachers are "scoring." My suggestion is:
1. To find a Korean friend who would help you to find a good out-call service for you.
or
2. To go to a place where English could be understood or needless to be understood.
Option 1 will be easier, but you could still find your luck with option 2, and I strongly encourage you to go to a 'Turkish bath' in Seoul.

Those kind of coffee shops are seldom found in Seoul area these days, but still you could be there in a remote town, especially in a small port town.
There, in coffee shop with that kind of service, girls are emplyed by the hours, and when you wish to enjoy with them, you should 'buy' girl's time. They call it 'to buy ticket(s)' and additionally you have to pay for the service the girls offers.

Turkish bath is where the girl first showers you then puts you on what is similar to an operating room table and lathers you up with her body which is interesting if she has decent sized breasts. My advice is to stay out of Itaewon, it is the only place in Korea you will get STD or worse. You get what you pay for, Kangnam (Roon Salon) (South Seoul, Kangnam means south of the river in reverse) is the place, very expensive $1,500 for two guys with girls but you will get a BBBJ with no risk and if you want a BB ride. Because of the expense, these girls are only having sex 2-5 nights a month as most Korean customers leave after the drinking and singing.

I visited a couple, one that just came up in the basement of the Hamilton and another in a hotel I forgot the name of. Relatively close to the Hamilton .. maybe a 5 minute taxi ride. If you want to find "normal" Korean girls, get out of Itaewon, as I said before, it is the only place you will catch STW in Korea.
One of the best places to find girls looking to score is a club call BOSS 677 in Kangnam (just east of Yeoksam Road). It is attached to Hotel I cannot remember name.
For Koreans, they only let in people under 30, foreigners are cut more slack, dress well and you will have better chance in, even try to grease the doormen 10,000 Won a piece. They have both private rooms and open table. It is expensive but the girls there are customers, not workers.
The game is you tip the male waiter to bring a girl to your table or room for a drink. The rest depends on you. Only 20% of the babes will speak English. If you are older, it may be difficult.

Thanks for the info. It's the "turkey baths" that I'm looking for. FS seems hard\expensive to find. If I can get a nice massage and a HJ, that should work fine. Those that have it are newbies, which the waitress will have figured out very quickly, and they'll be obliged the shell out quite a few won for some dried squid and a few peanuts. The regular korean girls know that the anju is optional in a round-eye place and don't buy it.
The pick up scene is quite different in korean-oriented places, where waiters play the role of "booking"-- hooking up girls and guys. Have NO idea on Filipinas, except that certain clubs in Itaewon (you know, where the low-grade foreigners hang around) seem to stock more than a handful. I think the King Club, Rio Club, and some other thing that supposedly looks like a vulva are your best bets. They're not my cup of tea either.
Uijongbu, Tongduchon, and Songtan seem to be the places where the most Filipinas are found working in bars. But essentially, why not fly down to the P.I.?

Bukchang-dong is behind the Seoul Plaza Hotel near City Hall. As a rule, yes, they all accept foreigners unaccompanied by Korean friends. But language is often a problem. The club is fine with you, but the interaction (and also, the action) between you and your partner is restricted if you don't speak Korean. You can ask if they have English speakers. Sometimes there are some really well-educated girls working in that neighborhood.
Go to the club called "Shalotte" (it's on the south side of the main strip, heading toward Namdaemun, and on the left hand side) and ask for Mr. Lee Min. He's a Korean-German and speaks English very well. He'll also find exactly the right girl for whatever it is you need. I don't know if that club has English-speaking girls or not.
I think I'm on the loose Friday night if anybody wants to put together a run.

Expect to spend at least KRW 400k when you go there alone. When two go, the price will go up to 600k for two, thus per person you would spend 300k.

In Seoul metropolitan area, you can hardly find a coffeeshop that would sell the sex-service. Sex-service in or from coffeeshop is only possible in a remote town or in a small port-town where the economy is not capable of feeding big RLD streets or systemized prostitution.

It will help if your boyfriend is not too much older than the girl. This will help her keep our face.
Not to be judgemental but if your Korean boyfriend openly allows to engage in sex with another man in his plain view, I question his intentions toward you. I only make this comment based upon your desire not to have him form an emotional attachment with the girl.
Having lived in Korea for some years, Korean men do not take to their women being had by another man.
I can check with some of the girls I know to see if they may be interested. Did you have any particualr bueget in mind for their activity?

Thanks for your reply. I've lived in Korea for 7 years, so I'm well aware of the degree of homophobia here. Ironically, when I've gone to the gay hill in Itaewon, most women will also stay away as they are looking for partners, not just to be some bi-curious woman's experiment. :-)
My relationship with my partner is an extremely loving, secure one. He is not typically Korean - In fact he's 7 years younger than I, a jazz musician, extremely well-travelled and has been living with me in plain view of his family - who are incredibly accepting.
The threesome was a one-time fulfillment of a fantasy I had.(3 years ago)
Now, I would like to do the same for him. My wanting a pro has more to do with my own "female" jealousy than with the state of the relationship. In fact, if I didn't feel secure, I don't think I could even contemplate doing this. I appreciate your concern though. :-)

New to Seoul and have spent the majority of my time in Itaewon. The girls are 'the hill' are pretty good. Some are real skanks. Especially at the very bottom. However, there are many cute ones. Kind of pricey but I like the area. I've heard that due to the recent rise in anti-American sentiment it is difficult for white guys to get accepted in other areas like Gireum or even Yongsan.
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Russian girls in Itaewan? Do you know which bar the working girls go to? I've heard varying stories. One girl on the hill told me that Russian girls are very cheap, but I've also heard that they are only interested in Korean and Japanese business men because they have more $$$$$.
If you could give me any info on location and $$$ it would be appreciated.
