How's this for boring: the misinformation you provided regarding HIV could have been misconstrued, and someone who had potential exposure but tested negative after a month, based on your information, could wrongly believe he or she is free and clear, going off to spread the virus indiscriminately with various partners. Not every testing venue is stocked with medical professionals, so even the most remote possibility of someone believing what you wrote is dangerous. And there's no argument here; your statements were incorrect.
"Hiding in the prostate" and being asymptomatic are two different things. The only point at which the bacteria might be undetectable would be during the most immediate time after exposure, because the bacteria needs time to reproduce in the urinary tract. Just because you had gonorrhea once does not mean your an expert.

what a different experience.
it was a very cold day last friday so the venture was less than enjoyable as i'm really not used to 'doing it' in cold weather being from a tropical country. really hard to get it hard. (is this a common experience?)

thankshi i'm in the medical profession. well the chances of catching something is small. the problem is there is still that small possibility. the best thing you need to do is have a checkup. if you notice any flu like symtoms, burning sensation while peeing or anything of that nature seek medical attention. pm if you want.

Get tested. But I want to put your mind at ease. The risk of catching something nasty is pretty low and that's IF that sex worker had something in the first place. Most stds can be cured or least controlled. Herpes and genital warts condoms don't help with anyway.
HIV fortunately for you, female to male transmission rate is pretty low, even more so if you are circumcised. Get tested though, it can now be done with a simple oral swab that takes 20 mins to give you a result. One of my co workers got stabbed with a needle from and HIV patient with a high viral load and never converted. If you are that worried about it you can start to take anti retrovirals to lower your risk further. But those have a ton of nasty side effects.
Try now to stress too much. I know you are worried about HIV but the chances of contracting it especially in Korea is exceedingly low.
Now 1/4 people are said to be carriers of genital herpes and condoms don't help to protect against that. But I still go on mongering anyway.

BooI assume you mean you'll be staying on Yongsan Garrison at the Dragon Hill Lodge on South Post. If walking from the Dragon, go out the main gate between South Post and Main Post, turn right and walk down the tree-lined street to the main intersection (3-minute walk) , cross it and you're at the beginning of Itaewon. You'll notice the arched sign over the street indicating it's Itaewon (If you don't feel like walking, take an AAFES taxi from the Dragon for a few bucks). That's main drag with various English-speaking shops, bars and restaurants. Walk straight one long block and you'll see a Burger King ahead of you but directly across the street. If you look across the street to your left you'll see the Hamilton Hotel. Cross the street leading to Burger King, continue straight the equivalent of about a block until you see a wide alley and turn right (notice the fire station). You are now at the heart of the sleazy club area in Itaewon and should readily notice all of the small clubs. The alley goes slightly uphill but take your first left and visit the clubs on that steeper hill, aka the infamous Hooker Hill. Those club girls are real seasoned hustlers, so watch yourself. Most any fantasy can be fulfilled in those clubs but you'll pay for it.
As for RLDs, I would suggest going to Miari. To get there, go back to the main drag, find a subway entrance, walk down the very long stairwell to the subway station and look at the Seoul subway map and find Gireum or Kireum, depending on how it's spelled. It's on a different line from the Itaewon line, so take note of where to change subways, perhaps once or twice. Note that some subway stations no longer have manned ticket booths, just machines, so you may have to ask someone for help in buying a ticket. Depending upon which subway exit you walk out of in Gireum, you might find yourself either across the street or kitty corner from the RLD, but just look for the dirty streamers hanging down from the entrance to a small alleyway (someone has posted a picture of it on this forum so look for it). That is the infamous Miari, a mere shell of its former heyday. The "glass houses" will have dark, tinted glass and it might appear nobody is there, but you should notice a slight purple glow emanating from some of the glass houses. The purple lighting inside the glass houses accentuates the looks of the girls and emits an aura of beauty (smart advertising, IMO!). Those are the glass houses that are still open and the mamasans will readily beckon you in if you're Asian or less so as a foreigner they're willing to accept. Expect to pay 70K-80K Won for a quickie.
As for Filipinas, have not been in Seoul since early 2006 so can't advise you, but if you have time, take a shuttle bus from the Yongsan Garrison bus station to Osan Air Base. It's about a 60-90 minute ride. Check out Miari it's at Gireum Station on line 4 (the light blue line). Walk up exit 10 to your right you can't miss it. As far as police and fear of arrest, don't be. Korean cops are in a word inept. The won't be walking through the RLD because that's the only way to navigate the area, it's just bunch of narrow ally's.

Check out Miari it's at Gireum Station on line 4 (the light blue line). Walk up exit 10 to your right you can't miss it. As far as police and fear of arrest, don't be. The type of friendliness I assume you were expecting is not to be found in Miari. You have to think more in terms of acceptance or no acceptance at Korean RLDs. I find part of the fun about hyugetels is trying out a bunch of them. I can never remember where anything is in this country because everything looks the same. But I can at least recommend a few areas to look around. The thing about barbershops is the price: less than 90 means you're at a jackshack, over 90 means you're at a fullservice hyugetel. KoyangiStarbutts brings back memories for me as well as the purple door. BTW, I should correct one small error: Hooker Hill is the steep hill that has the bars that burned down. The hill containing the King Club was never known as Hooker Hill. Reason being is that, back in the day. SGThe Greek Isles are not a popular destination with Korean providers these days. As noted, there are some who will (try to) accomodate, if the price is right. But it is usually a HEFTY premium.
