Camp Red Cloud, South Korea - A former Filipina bar worker has won a judgment of about $5,000 against a South Korean nightclub owner who forced her to have sex with US soldiers for money.
In a separate, criminal trial, X-Zone club owner xx xxxx, of Tongducheon, was convicted of illegal brothel-keeping earlier this year and sentenced to a 10-month suspended sentence and 160 hours of community service, police said.
The X-Zone club is near Camp Hovey in Toka-ri. In the civil judgment issued May 20, Seoul District Court Judge Kim Soon-han said that while the woman worked at the club from Feb. 8 to March 3, 2004, she was forced to perform acts of prostitution with US soldiers for fees from $60 to $150.
This week the former bar worker, who asked not to be identified, said she still was waiting for the bar owner to pay her the money awarded in the judgment.
The woman told Stars and Stripes in 2004 that agents from a South Korean company in the Philippines recruited her as a nightclub singer early that year. However, she said, soon after starting work at X-Zone club, she and several Filipina workers were locked inside the club by Hwang and told to have sex with US soldiers.
The woman said that rather than continue to work as a prostitute, she ran away and contacted South Korean police, who raided X-Zone and found evidence of prostitution.
X-Zone recently reopened in Toka-ri but now employs South Korean staff instead of Filipinas, she said.
A lot of prostitution involving Filipinas and US soldiers still exists in Tongducheon, she said, but the problem has shifted from Toka-ri to "the Ville" area near Camp Casey's front gate after a crackdown by military authorities in 2004. US Forces Korea officials declined to comment Thursday afternoon.

Best way I can give directions is from the Osan Gate, walk down the main strip. At first street on your left, turn. From there go down to the end of the buildings on the right then turn right, walk down alley, it will be on the right side.

This topic comes up every once in awhile so last time I went to Angeles City in the Philippines from Incheon I stopped by the little Airpoirt Village a few miles away from Incheon Airport. I got there a little later than I wanted to but in the town center I saw 3 Anmas very close to eachother.

Decided to grab a quick lunch at a local restaurant and found that nobody spoke any english and the menu's are only in Korean. Did manage to order lunch by pointing to pictures of different dishes on the wall. From the looks I got from the locals, doen't think they get many tourists through here. After lunch checked out some of the massage places showing barber shop poles. The first one said the shop was on the 4th floor, but the stairways was pretty cluttered up past the 2nd floor so I did not go up any further. Yesterday I decided I would check out the Songtan Tourist Hotel and explore the sport massage experience, it was 2pm. To enter, walk up the main steps of the hotel and make a quick right turn (don't go inside the hotel) towards a small door that leads down into the basement of the hotel.

I have only been in Korea (Choenan) for a couple of weeks, and so am a complete novice. An aquaintance recommended a subway stop on the subway line into Seoul from Choenan called Pyoungtek, stating that there were window girls available for 50,000 won. daejeon has to be the boring-est 1.5 million person city i have ever encountered. i had been looking for professional action in daejeon for quite some time. i finally found it, and it is underground but pervasive. there are pros and cons.
pros: the cost is considerably cheaper than seoul. i have paid as little as 40,000won for a short time (very recently).
con: you don’t get to choose the gal, and ymmv. she just shows up. the scene seems a little risky, so you boys who like to take a chance or two, you may enjoy the daejeon set up. remember that prostitution is illegal in south korea. those following this korean board remember a time nearly two years ago when 5000 johns and prostitutes were stung in one day. i have heard of no law enforcement activity covering prostitution in daejeon, and i have never had a problem.
here is how it works (directions to follow): you walk the back streets and alley ways, and ajumas act as hailers. they ask if you want a “short time.” there is no pressure. depending on where you go and which ajuma, you are placed in a yeogwan (cheap motel) or a small room near where the ajuma is sitting in the alley way. rooms have been very clean and private. both times had fair service.
if you walk on the side streets, those ajumas put you in a yeogwan. if you walk to alley ways, those ajumas put you in a room near where she is sitting. i preferred the latter. more tucked away.

There is action to be had in Osan for the right amount of money. Most phillipinos can be had with enough time and money. If you want a korean go to smittys. It's a dive bar off the main drag. I think we all agree and probably the whole single expat community used the summer vacation time for some Thailand, Phlippines, China or Cambodia mongering to do some charge and discharge cycles of the batteries.
No wonder that the companies paying a surprisingly high salary surcharge to the expats here as premium for this lack of mongering scene, probably as a contribution to e.g. cambodia flights.
However our problems stays, even if money might not be the problem. It's the lack of spare time to catch those flights to go there and come back for us expats which still forces us to the local Korean providers, as the downside of the salary surcharges are more extended working hours and you can't timely afford an extended weekend trip every some weeks.
So no way then to extract and report the few good opportunities in this country, even if costly and e.g. cambodia has the better options.

Most likely they were Coffee Shop Girls - basically call girls that work out of local coffee shops. If you have the number to a shop you can call and ask for a girl to deliver "a cup." They will deliver anywhere but are seen most frequently at Yogwans (cheap Korean hotels) and on occation at barbershops or even private apartments. The coffee goes from 5-10K Won. The extras are usually around 50K, although that can go as high as 100K.
In smaller towns you can see them tooling around on mini-motor scooters - high heels and all - on their way to a delivery.

I don't know about the D motel, Yong Chon Hotel has a parking garage, the rooms start at $60 a night, the hotel has a swimming pool.
Right up the hill pass YoungChon is the Namsan Hotel with covered parking, rooms are $30 a night, pc room is $35 a night. Sun Motel also has covered parking $30.

Back in July 2006, I posted about finding pros in Daejeon. Since then, I have discovered an actual RLD. The name of the area is "oh chun dong." If you are Korean and can speak Korean (neither in my case), this would be a hayday. Sounds like you got the SOP at an-ma places, although you should have insisted on AR. It's standard. But then again, you're in the boondocks (sorry to say). Quality (service and provider) in less populated regions tend to be lower than Seoul area. Word gets around fast in Seoul, and if a place doesn't provide good services there are plenty others. Sounds like you got the SOP at an-ma places, although you should have insisted on AR. It's standard. But then again, you're in the boondocks (sorry to say). Quality (service and provider) in less populated regions tend to be lower than Seoul area. Word gets around fast in Seoul, and if a place doesn't provide good services there are plenty others. In cities like Ulsan, even if you don't like the place, you don't have much other alternatives and their attitude is that they have an oligapoly, and they don't very much care how you feel as people would usually have nowhere else to go.
Korea is a terrible place for foreingers/non-Korean speakers, although it all depends on your game/looks/$$$. But as to an-ma and DDB, I have gotten side action at both places. Several times in DDB, right in the stall. Mind you, I speak fluent Korean, and was able to talk my way into it. Generally, an-ma girls don't want to meet you outside because their job is really physically demanding and they want to rest on their day off (which they get maybe 2 in a month). If they do, 95% of the time, it'll be because of $$. DDB girls don't want to give you actual action, because the reason they work at DDB is because they don't want to work at RLD. After reading through the reports here, I decided to try out some of the hotels during a few recent trips to Songtan. Being that I like to keep most of my money for other uses, I decided to stay away from the Young Chon and went to the Sun Motel. For 35K, it's not a bad place. It does lack a computer or Internet connection, so print out your reports, if you can't remember what you read. ;)
My next stay was at the NamSan motel, just up the hill from the Young Chon, near the train tracks. As I recall, this place cost me 30K. It seemed a little older and in worse shape than the Sun Motel. Still, it was not a bad room for the price.
Finally, I tried out the D Motel (the Korean script spells the name out as Drama). It's located past the train tracks. If you head away from the Namsan motel toward the tracks, there is an underpass. After taking this to cross to the other side of the tracks, the D Motel is on your left. An immediate left turn onto a drive that parallels the tracks takes you to the back entrance of the motel parking lot. This was by far the best place that I stayed in. 36K for a pretty nice room with a PC connected to the Internet, and a large TV. The only drawbacks were the noise from the trains going by, and it's a bit of a walk to the clubs.
I thought about trying the Asia Hotel on the main route going to the base main gate. However, I saw the web site for the hotel, and the lowest price listed is 80K. Plus they have a set of rules that reads similar to a military enlistment contract!

Just an add on note to my last message.
If anyone prefers to stay on base, the Turumi Lodge charges $28 a night. The rooms are very nice. They have wireless internet available (only in the lobby currently), refridgerator, microwave, cable tv, and free laundry machines. If hassling with the gate guards doesn't bother you, this is a nice, inexpensive way to stay in the Songtan area (for those with access to the base, that is).
If anyone else has experience with the other hotels / motels around town, please post up the information about them (cleanliness, price, ammenities...etc.).

You can also take a bus from Seoul Seobu Bus Terminal by Bulgwang subway station. Bus numbers 30 and 31 will take you there BUT they stop running after about 9:30 p.m.

The Venus Massage is located on the East side of Highway 23 approximately in Ipjang, about 12 kilometers from Cheonan-Si (if you are going north on Highway 23, leaving Cheonan Si, headed in the direction of Pyeontak and Songtan and Osan AFB.) I am just suspecting that there is some sort of local crack down against the U.S. Military (or, perhaps by the military?) in the Songtan and Osan AFB area. Perhaps some of you can confirm or refute that, but it just isn’t like it was only 2 years ago.

The Military crackdown has been in effect for well over three years now and it's not confined to Songtan, it is Korea-wide. Since you are not military, there are several juicy clubs in Songtan where you can get service, (especially the ones that are off-limit to military personnel) although many of those clubs are staffed with Pilipino chicks. Probably best to visit the clubs after military curfew so you don't have to compete with the military Joes. Setting aside, the xenophobic nature of this country, there's no telling why those places refused you. You are for sure on the complete wrong track. Not having been in Jeju yet, but in Seoul I can imagine easily that your expactation is way to much. Unfortunately this is not China where the girls are all over and it is just a matter how girl friendly the hotel is.

I lived on Jeju for 7 years, know it well. P2P's, massage rooms, singing rooms, coffee shops, barber shops, are all over the island, even in the small towns.
It's a hit or miss thing no matter where you go. Most will give you the fake sex; they are using their hand and you're thinking you're in the hole! And they are good at it! Yes, the district was across the street and to the left from the station. It has been years since I've been there so I can't promise anything.
Most of the good girls were off of the bigger alley on the south part of the zone. The main road running N-S in front of Suwon Station also had some girls but they were more the B girls. The further you go away from the station on the main road, the worse the quality gets. Once you get into the small, back alleyways, the quality is way low. Roamed the streets around the Lotte hotel, there are plenty of "room bar", tried a couple but not speaking Korean that did not go anywhere at all. The girls never even approached me. One mamasan felt so bad she did not even want me to pay for my drink!
After reading the forum, decided to try Hollywood Club, which is a foreigner club only. At first I went to the wrong place, there is a bar with a big red neon sign that says "Hollywood bar", 1 street away from the Lotte shopping center, well that is not it at all, this one is just a regular bar.
The hotel found the address of the Hollywood Club I was really looking for, about a 15 minutes ride from the Lotte. It is kind of a small, dark, rundown place which turned out to be a filipinas bar. Bartender, mamasan and 100% of the girls every day are filipinas. Some were plain ugly some were quite beautiful, about 10 girls total. The one who approached me (can't remember her name now) was about a 7 but with a nice personality.
Drinks are 6000-7000 for the guys, 10000 to 25000 for the girls. 20000 gets the girl a large orange juice, 25000 a shot of tequila. The girls get $3-4 per drink, most come to work there on "contracts", i.e. the bar paid for their plane ticket from Manila and they have to work for at least 2 months to be allowed to return without having to buy a new return ticket themselves.
We chatted for a while, and then she explained the barfine system after I inquired. 150000 to get the girl out + whatever you negotiate with her, she is not included in the barfine. I mentioned that this is horrendously expensive, she agreed. Said most guys don't barfine any longer since prices went up from 100K to 150K recently.
The alternative is to rent a karaoke room, i.e. a sordid dimly-lit room (I believe there are 2 on the premises, a small and a large one) with plastic benches, a table and a TV, for 60000 for 1 hour, and get the girl in there. Once the door is locked, you can get FS in the room, keeping in mind that there is no bed and that the benches are probably not clean.
Should one decide to proceed with the Karaoke room option, one will then find out that the girl will try to finish you in 10 minutes and that the mamasan will start knocking on the door after 30.
Overall a disappointing experience, I imagine it can be different if you take the girl back to your hotel for 150K + 100-150K for the girl. Main advantage is they speak english and filipinas can be real nice.

What the heck are you doing in that boondock of a town? I think there is an anma in the main part of the down, near the express bus terminal. But if you're not anma type of guy, then...

Went hunting Saturday night in Songtan. My limited observations and related interesting stuff are as follows:
1. At about 7:00pm, I walked away from the Osan gate into the main stroll shopping area. Why is this in the "other areas" when Jang-Ahn Dong is located in eastern Seoul?
