There is no "better and safer time" to go there. Historically, LP has been raided at least twice in the past five years, but both times it has re-opened after about 3 months. Customers have committed no crime, and there are no grounds under the normal law of Sri Lanka to arrest them. Until about 3 years ago, customers were not arrested during raids. Now customers are sometimes arrested under Emergency Law.
Please note that there is a slight risk of raid and arrest in ANY ayurvedic spa, even if there is an ayurvedic doctor present.

I’m writing this report on the Colombo section, but the administrator will decide if it is the right place or would be better to open another thread.
I’ve spent one week in Negombo during my 2009 holidays. It was august, and my last destination would have been Pattaya, so I wasn’t very interested in mongering while spending my time in Sri Lanka. But me and my friend saw there were some chances, and then we get involved in them.
Negombo is a nice place located at the north of Colombo, about 30 km far from this city, and it’s full of lovely beaches. Nightlife is very poor, apart from some pub and restaurant, so it’s possible to find girls only asking to taxi drivers, tuk tuk drivers or some hotel receptions. Being quite impossible having experiences with normal ladies, owing to religion, the only way of making sex is contacting prostitutes.
We found different types of activities:
- freelancers: the tuk tuk driver took us in 3-4 private houses where they showed us some local girls. The price was 50 € for one hour short-time in room, inside the house. The quality of the girls (most of them very shy, neglected and no professional) and the hygiene of the rooms were very poor, absolutely no worth. BBBJ, no FK, no anal;
- Chinese ladies: there was a private house where the landlord and the ladies were coming from China. The price was exactly the same, 50 € for one hour, but women were better in quality and the performance also;
- massage: there were two of them, but only my friend tried one and I had no direct experience. He told me about half an hour massage with happy end for 15 €.
In conclusion, I don’t think Negombo could be remembered for monger activity. There’s something to do, but very expensive while having bad sexual performances.

• Better quality Towels (Fresh / At least washed ones )

• Good Lotions, Oils, Medi - Drink......etc
• Fan/ A/c
• Good Bathrooms (Most are in shitty condition/ dirty soaps / slippery tiles....etc)
• Quality of Service of staff (Massage skill, attitude , Customer satisfaction..etc)
There are some Spa's who maintain good quality of service. but most are not in standard. At least they don't have an average service.
Common Guys we all need Happy Endings as well as some massage.
but only few provide Happy endings. Although if they do not have good service still they have happy ending, number of customers will be higher.
If they do not have both No one will go there. because even if they do not have a good service if they willing provide Extras we can compromise our self & with the service.

Quality of rooms are good, Clean. (Clean towels, Double Bed, Cable TV, hot water, A/c, Mini Fridge. Etc) but No menu card available in rooms to order foods. You have to manually visit to restaurant and buy foods. Or else you can take foods from outside without there intention.
Other quality hotel rooms are expensive. Even RH (Renuka) Charge around 7500, Even Hotel Janaki is the same as far as I know.
You can also try Hotel Sphire in wellawatte. But I am hot sure about their charges.

First of all I am calling it a fairytale. As it does sound like it. But am posting this cause it is true.

Went to JH yesterday night and chose this mad shit bitcch called PIM room no 8 service was crap as ever, one of the worst services I have ever got at a JH or GH or anyy b2b place.

The commissioner said that a committee has been appointed to look into the operations of spas in the country while a special team has also been deployed and legal action will be taken against anyone violating the regulations.
Dr. Gunawardena meanwhile noted that some illegal spas continue to operate with the backing of influential persons and political figures.

hi despite of all odds. i just happend to walk into this place in nugegoda as they claim "registered aurvedic centre" in 7th mile post. where they hav another office in kattiya junc.
new place look compact. not very good looking. its an upstair. was there talkin to thier madam. who was claiming that they are only few registered under aurveda.. bla bla. but same time she said hj is notan issue. then i agreed. place looked very compact. and they put me in a room where theres no door. only a green curtain. i just peepd in and saw theres no such rooms but only partitions avaialable.

You can rub cocunut oil or "Thala Thel" oil any oil on your body and call it Ayurvedic treatment. What I see is thsese institutions provide a great service by providing employment and relaxation to people.I dont see anything anti social about it.
We Lankans seem to be associating the words 'spa' and 'massaging' with some antii-social, dubious and mischievous activity that ought to be discouraged and condemned. The truth of the matter is massaging is a very effective form of body theraphy both under indigenous and western medical traditions. When you have conditions like back pains and shoulder pains, massaging affected areas is an effective treatment process inder both systems. There is abosolutely no reason to demand that a simple activity as massaging should be done only under the supervision of a licensed ayurvedic physician. MASSAGING IS NOT THE MONOPOLY OF AURVEDA DEPARTMENT.
The basic fact is that there are many unemployed Ayurvedic doctors because most people prefer Western Medicine. If these Spas close all these Ayurvedic doctors will be on the streets.

A retired senior military official was among ten persons rounded up from a brothel that had operated under the guise of an ayurveda massage treatment centre in the Mirihana area, police said. The brothel was busted by police on a tip-off, and among the others arrested were the 24-year-old male manager, an ayurvedic doctor and five young female workers.
The place which had been in operation for the past four months was reportedly frequented mainly by service personnel and even young teenage school boys, Police Inspector (IP) H. M. B. Jayasinghe said.
IP Jayasinghe said although the place boasted of being an ayurvedic treatment centre there was not a single trace of medication but only rooms with beds and attached wash rooms.
"The place also catered to a diverse clientele. It offers services to married couples and single women in their own places of residence" :rolleyes:, police said.
According to police, the young manager had operated a similar place in another location earlier before being busted. "He had to move to this particular location just four months ago", IP Jayasinghe added.
Police have also found out that the female workers, mostly in their teens, were from remote villages and had been lured into the brothel by commission agents with the promise of lucrative earnings.
The girls had initially left their village homes in search of employment at garment factories but then took to prostitution tempted by the lucrative returns, police said.
Police said they monitored school boys visiting the place and had carried out the raid thereafter.

Thanks for the information. So it would appear that Selena Spa may have been giving FS to select customers and has been busted. However, the Sunday Times report states that the manager of the "brothel" had moved to the present location 4 months ago. Selena Spa has been going for at least a year. So it would seem that in addition to Selena Spa, a "TEP" has also been busted.
May I suggest that when you visit Spas you should take your passport with you. The cops are unlikely to arrest a foreign citizen.

You have a good point. A classic example of a place "off the radar" is Queen's. This is near a boys' school, offers generous extras, and has survived for a number of years without raids. The positive side of Hitads is that eventually spas could be accepted as a normal part of life in Sri Lanka. Whereas "brothels" are a dirty word, "spa" has something clean and healthy about it.

He said a large number of raided guesthouses were situated close to tuition venues, which are frequented by school-going youngsters. “Past raids have shown that teenagers get attracted to such places,” he said.
The police checked more than 1,500 guesthouses and similar venues in this week’s raids, and gave the owners and operators stern warnings. The senior police officer said the government was bent on eradicating vice, and that raids would be carried out on a daily basis.

The information sources of LE at ground level are very good from what I know. Maybe what we need to be careful of is the description we give, names of providers and what they provide. Maybe generalized comments which will give a hint of what to expect will be the best. Just some thoughts. I for one has avoided MP's for the last 2 months. Its tough! Even Karaoke bars are being raided. Whats happening guys? Most of these joints have gals but max is they cuddle upto and help you unwind and relax. And if at all massage your tool a little. The Paradise Spa at Thunmulla was raided couple of weeks back. I've got to know rom a girl there who is now at home after being remanded for 14 days.
What has happened is though the senior girls and management had given instructions to deal with new customers very carefully and not to provide extras one or two girls had provided the extras to a cop who has come to check the place in civil. The following day the raid had happened when this cop was inside as the witness. They have taken to Bambalapitiya police station and now I know how these news papers also put the words as "Massage parlour in guise of Brothel" and "Prostitution in spa's are comming in.
These uneducated, indecent, cunning, foolish, filthy, stupid, unmannered, f*****g cops-cowards (LE's and other officers who read this forum you idiots just understand that u all are getting rather better words as in English words as I don't have any more worst words to mention) get a letter being signed by these girls of stating that they were in prostitution business under the guise of a massage. Under this letter only police produce them in courts as if they say they were doing massage court will not accept the case. As usual this again prove that Cops department is the most indiscipline government body in the country. After the letter being signed by-force (Poor girls cannot go against this) they get all their belonging including the phone and put them to remand and then to courts and these girls at Paradise spa had to pay by their pocket each Rs. 50,000/- to come out. The owner had fled away and got to know he was under warrant for some other case as well. If a brave girl who is rich on taking a case up definitely it will revolve the country's raids. Getting a forced signature for something never done is illegal and unfortunately this happens inside Asia's wonderland police stations.

FACT1: The LE probably suspect that ALL Spa's / Massage Parlors are a front for other extras,
FACT2: BUT they need to catch them in the act to make the charges stick. That's where there is a strong chance that they can get a few clues from the a few careless entries.
For example if I were to state that Girl X at SPA X (X being the actual names) is very greedy for money or needs money for her sick child and does a BBBJ for 1500/- a LE in civils may offer her 3000/- to tempt her, he may additionally provide some reassurance to her that a friend of his came the other day and got a BJ for 1500/-, the girl may then provides the extras and the place is raided.
Also in another instance someone may name a girl as Anu** from Par*** Spa, another may name her as A**la from P****ise Spa. I know most LE are too STUPID to figure this out but just in case they are taking their vitamins and able to put these two reports together let us be careful.
I don't mean to be a wet blanket and I probably watch too many detective movies but just be careful guys at least for the next few months.

I agree with your views, but would like to add one or two points. Talking of Paradise Spa, may I say that any member who thinks LE is not monitoring this forum is living in a "fool's paradise". The powers that be can easily block access to this forum as they have done with other sex sites, but they have not done so. This may be because LE is getting useful information from here.
We recently had the example of two TEP's in Boralesgamuwa being described here, and within a week a TEP in that area was raided.
So what are the bright spots in the present situation:
(a) The "need" of the Police for additional income via bribes. There is a strong movement to curb illicit liquor, which is the other source of income. In that case, they will need to rely more on massage parlours as a source of income. Discreet reporting by members on this forum can help identify places which are "in favour" with the Police. Two examples are Nirovin and Liberty Plaza.
(b) The need of the Government to get additional income tax to reduce the budget deficit. If the buggers at Inland Revenue have any brains they should target massage parlours which are openly advertising on Hitads, and make sure that they pay their taxes (income tax and VAT). This would be fairer than imposing a tax on wheat flour and bread. Places like Golden Towers MP must be making a big profit as they charge Rs.2500 for a one hour massage. How can places like this be allowed to operate without issuing printed receipts?

The owner had fled away and got to know he was under warrant for some other case as well. If a brave girl who is rich on taking a case up definitely it will revolve the country's raids. Getting a forced signature for something never done is illegal and unfortunately this happens inside Asia's wonderland police stations.
