If you get friendly with the manager, I am sure you may get better service. Rs 2000 for HJ. You have got ripped off. I really don't know why you agreed to such a high amount. You could have negociated to at least half that the very least. Some of my friends had tipped rs 500 and got what you got at the same place. Max I have paid is rs 700 or so. This is just for your info so you could negociate better next time.

There is used to be a spa at the above named hotel on the Katunayake Road. I had been to this place perhaps about 2 years ago. They did offer extras and it was a nice quiet place. When they started the refurbishments the place closed and though the hotel opened about a year ago. The spa was not running.

I had visited the hotel on 3 occassions in the last year (purely to check if the spa was operating). But it was closed.

Todays hit adds have mentioned that a spa is now running. I don't know if its the same people or girls. But worth checking it out.

If anyone is going that way, please drop in and have a look and report.

Adverts in the state-owned papers are no guarantee that those places will not be raided, but I wonder whether there has been an unpublicized change of policy towards MP's. Even in the Nugegoda area which was notorious for raids several MP's have re-opened. It could be something to do with attracting tourists. Certainly the places which are charging Rs.2000 for a handjob are geared towards foreign tourists. The usually scenario with tourists is that when the wife goes on a shopping spree the husband needs some amusement.

And some where last week we had a program there and felt quite boring. Then suddenly I remembered this place and went there in between breaks of the program. You are quite right - The cathouse scene in Sri Lanka is fairly bleak. I am quite sure that the two places in Negombo and the one in Mount Lavinia would have been raided a long time ago and shut down. There are probably one or two relatively new cathouses in operation, but these are highly secretive and I myself don't know of any which offer good quality. If you read the recent report by Wonder World you will see that he has been able to find some action. The Police here adopt a punitive attitude to mongers by arresting and detaining customers even though they have not broken any law by patronizing such places.

Thanks for your report. This place is raided about every two years. As you say, it will probably re-open in a few weeks. It is unlikely that foreign customers would have been arrested.

Colombo: Sri Lanka's police on Saturday raided a brothel operating out of a luxury condominium located at a short distance from President's official residence here and arrested five women, including two foreigners, in this connection.

Police said they have arrested two East European and three Sri Lankan women who are said to have been working at the brothel which operated out of the eight floor of the Liberty Plaza shopping and apartment complex.

Police said the owner had made structural changes to the eighth floor of the apartment and established a secret staircase leading to another apartment on the seventh floor where action took place.

"This is one of the biggest raids we have carried out," a police official said.

The raid was also a serious embarrassment to the local police and security authorities as it is within a stone's throw from the Temple Trees, official residence of the president, and declared a high security zone.

If the report is accurate, going to Nirovin could also be risky.

Thanks for your report. This place is raided about every two years. As you say, it will probably re-open in a few weeks. It is unlikely that foreign customers would have been arrested.

Any raid is scary for us. But buggars in the article write or "quote the police" as if this was the first time they came accross this place.

The joining of the two floors happened like 5 or 6 years ago (as I remember. Perhaps even more). And they have raided LP many times after that. So police knows about it.

With regards to LP, I believe that it would be closed for a few weeks and reopen again. One observation which I like to spot is that the raid took place while it was raining heavily. It would have been quite unlikely for a monger to choose exactly that time of the day to visit LP, though I did. So I believe that it could happen at anytime anywhere under any conditions. Rainy days, public holidays, working hours or even days on which all roads are closed, are not safe.

Well, mongering is illegal here. And there is no safe place, specially since this weekend. Things are pretty heated up. Following the raid at the largest and safest brothel operating in downtown.

To clarify, what I wrote was that foreign CUSTOMERS are unlikely to be arrested. In the latest LP raid I presume that two Eastern European girls were arrested. These girls would have been working while on tourist visas, so they have clearly broken the law.

In fact, we are not aware that even local customers have been arrested during a raid on LP. Raids on LP up to now have not been "killing" raids, in the sense that LE does not want to kill the LP goose which lays the golden eggs for them. They want maximum publicity for the raid to show the gullible public that they are doing something.

Thanks for the link. This is hilarious. Is LE so bloody inefficient that they allowed 11 people to escape? No, they are very efficient. They would have deliberately allowed the people to escape. Madam is a very, very good friend of LE, and among the 10 others there may have been some VIP customers. This is in fact good news for mongers because it would seem that customers were not arrested.

This is I believe the franchise negotiation face so all the popular places will have to realign their allegiances and protection fees to the new comers liking. A new minister had been inside the high class brothel that is being carried out on the 6th and 7th of the Liberty Plaza apartment complex when the crime detection bureau of the Walana Police had raided the place on the 4th, police sources said.

The raid was carried out after taking a warrant from the Fort Magistrate. During the raid three Sri Lankan girls and two Uzbekistan girls were arrested while the politician and his businessmen friends were released by the police. The high class brothel that has been carried out for the past 20 years has received the patronage of every government and its ministers.

It is the President's personal physician, Ajith Ranawaka, who acts as the patron of this brothel.

After hearing that one of the President's nephews were a frequent visitor to the brothell, the Defence Secretary had asked Ajith to ensure that the nephew is not taken there. Angered that his directive was ignored, the Defence Secretary had ordered the Walana police crime detection bureau to raid the brothel.

The person who runs the brothel is one Geena Madam and her son, Dinesh, operates karaoke bars as brothels.

Dinesh used to operate a karaoke bar at the Canton Club, which was owned by Rupavahini Corporation Chairman, Sarath Kongahage. However, Dinesh currently operates a karaoke club at the ground floor of Liberty Plaza called Cleopatra.

I discovered this place today. It is secret in the sense that it has never been advertised in Hitads, but I am sure the local Police know about it. We have to be careful about divulging the location of this kind of place because although the local Police are okay about it, other LE agencies may not be so friendly. I am therefore not able to even mention the name of the town on the open forum.

It is in a large old upstair house which must have been luxurious at one time, but has not been fully updated. Entrance fee is Rs.500 for 45 minutes. There were five girls, 5 to 6 in looks. As usual in these places there were a few fatties in their late thirties, but they were fair-skinned and with nice faces. I chose a slim dark one age 28. She is from Trincomalee. She looked Tamil, but her Sinhalese was fairly fluent and her adopted name is a Sinhalese one. She was quite pleasant, but said she hoped I would give her a tip of "more than 1000". In the past, these people have pleaded guilty, paid a fine, and then re-opened for business. According to the Daily Mirror report, it looks as if this time the defence lawyer is trying to fight the case:


At the Magisterial inquiry into the matter came up before Magistrate Ms. Lanka Jayaratne, police told Court that the raid was carried out on warrant obtain from the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court by deploying two decoys.

Police told Court that one of women had been bought for a payment of Rs.5000 by the decoy who carried out the raid and subsequently arrested five suspects. Police further told Court that they were able to seize cash money amounting to Rs.348, 000 from a locker in the eighth floor of the building. Police further charged that several foreign liquor bottles that were kept for selling without a permit were also taken into police custody.

Defence counsel R.A.P. Ranawake appearing on behalf of the five suspects denied the all charges levelled against his clients. He contended that police had stormed into the rooms where the concerned suspects were accommodated at that time. “It cannot be considered as a raid.

Nearly 40 police officers had stormed into the house and caused severe damages to the properties,” defence counsel said. He further informed Court that his clients were employees of the ground floor and they were used to accommodate in the eighth floor.

Meanwhile, police told Court that they were yet to arrest the main woman suspect who had allegedly managed the brothel house.

“An arrest warrant has been issued for the arrest of this main suspect by the Colombo High Court over the same offence. She had fled the scene when we arrived there,” the police officer said.

Having considered the submissions the Magistrate directed the police to arrest the main suspect who involved the incident and further ordered that five suspects be further remanded till December 13.

I also went to Suweda. Had one not so good looking dark young girl and three aunties. They charged me 1500 being non-local. They were claiming that that is their normal charge. I made them open there book and they could not show me a single entry of 1500 and all were of 1000. Yet took one. Rushed service in plywood pertitioned compartments with a hanging curtain. The one I took was very money hungry. Never to repeat.

Jane alias Geena Madam has threatened several government ministers that she would go before court and reveal the names of the ministers and government officials who have enjoyed the services of the high class brothel maintained by her. Meanwhile, the President's personal physician, Dr. Ajith Ranawaka, who was providing the necessary political patronage to the brothel, has already assigned the services of attorney R. A. C. Ranawaka to safeguard Geena's rights.

When the case was taken up on the 6th, the defence counsel had told court that the raid carried out by the police was more like a forcible entry into a place where damage has been caused to private property.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne after listening to submissions from both parties had ordered the young girls who were taken into custody from the brothel be remanded till the 17th and to immediately arrest and present to court the millionaire businesswoman who was operating the high class brothel.
