Yes, Nirovin is much much better than the Orchard executive. The only risk I can see with Nirovin is it is very close to a very high security zone and cops and eye on those places.

I can understand Colombo Monger's anxiety; I stayed away from Nirovin for 1 1/2 years due to its close proximity to the High and Mighty. I finally went back there yesterday and had a very good experience. I now agree with Ana that Nirovin probably gives good service more consistently than the Orchid.

Entrance to Nirovin is Rs.600. This time I was not given a choice of girls, perhaps because most of the girls were busy. The one who was assigned to me was Anju. There are lots of bars in Colombo called Karaoke Bars or Lounges. These are open from around 7pm till dawn, and can be easily spotted due to the bright neon signs.

Usually the entrance fee is US$ 5-10, which has to be given to the bouncer at the entrance. Liquor and food is served inside at about 5 times the normal price. Each bar has at least 5 attractively dressed girls, and you could pick your one(s). Their looks would be around 6 on average. I have seen a few stunners too. Some bars have Chinese girls.

There are settees for people to sit. Sometimes these are L shaped, or facing each other, so there is less privacy.

The girls would sit near you and start chatting. Their aim is to encourage you to empty your wallet. The more you order, the friendlier they would be. If you have exceeded the qualifying mark, the girl would allow you to do a bit of fondling. If you’re lucky/persuasive enough you could let your fingers take a walk inside her T shirt or pants.

There are TV screens around, blaring Karaoke music, the quality of which is generally below par. You could dance with the girl if you feel like it.

BOSS down Flower Road (Colombo 7), a few down Galle Road – Kollupitiya (Colombo 3) and a couple at Thimbirigasyaya (Colombo 5) are reasonably priced (I don’t remember the names). NASA & SING SING down Havelock Road (Colombo 5) -close to 'Police Park' (don’t worry, these bars have a lengthy payroll) are relatively expensive. It might be compulsory to spend a minimum of around US$ 125 on liquor.

Some of the bars have “ VIP Lounges”. These are rooms where you could be alone with the girl. But FS might not be possible, but you may go some distance.

Some girls would give their phone numbers for a FS at a later date. If you stay till dawn, you might be able to take her out to some place. Normally these girls try to tempt you to make a repeat visit to the bar on another day. It might not be applicable to foreigners on holiday, so it will be all or nothing on the first night itself.

Foreigners are likely to pay more at every stage. It is recommended that you order from the menu, after checking the prices, taxes & service charges. Keep an eye on what your partner is ordering too, because in this game you are the host. These girls are known to order expensive liquor, because they get a percentage of the order as well. Might be a good idea to progressively check your bill.

It is customary to leave a tip for the girl when you bid adieu, and the size of the same should be in accordance with your future plans.

If you are travelling from Wellawatte it is on the seaside, two lanes before the General Cemetery and Odeon cinema. I think the Guest house is 50 to 75 metres from Galle Road on your right-hand side as you walk towards the beach.

I recall that this was a small bungalow with space in front for parking two or three cars. If you are not sure just ask the staff there whether this place is owned by the same person who owns Ocean Inn; that will give them a hint about what you are looking for.

But if you work in a country like US or probably Europe, with 80 dollars all you can do is get into a good club (US$ 15-20), and get 4/5 good drinks. And if you dont get lucky to take a drunk chick home , a single call for an escort would do a damage like 250 US$ an hour. So I guess there are different people with different levels of income posting here, as you may have noticed in Sri Lankan nightclubs you'll see many tables with 6 people and 4 different kinds of bottles, ranging from Grey Goose, Black to Hennesy XO, and karoke's it would be worse.
