What I suggest to save disappointment when visiting these massage parlours is to first decide what you want and expect and then ask the girl what she is willing to do and for how much before actually going in for the massage. This will save wasting your time and money.

After a couple of nights non-mongering in Chiang Mai I managed to break away at about 11 pm and hit the Loi Khro Road again. I went to Dragon Fly with the hope of finding the cutie in glasses but as soon as I looked into the bar from the street I heard several of the girls shout " Yah Yah"! In their mind I was her customer. Yah Yah came rushing over but I said I was just passing and hurried away across the road to Linda's bar which was almost empty with no sign of Air the cutie I had spoke with a few nights before. Your report covered most of what is available on the Chiang Mai commercial sex scene, there is literally nothing much else and proves that obtaining a desirable result is mostly based on luck and very hit and miss. It could cost a small fortune trying to find a winner and is really based on the luck of the draw and being at a venue in the right place at the right time.

So its a buddhist holiday and you can't get booze anywhere. So my friend and I are driving around and I see Karaoke 99 is open and I have been wanting to check it out for a bit. So we head in and its a lot nicer than I imagined for what is one of the cheapest scr*ws in CM. Just a lot of nice couches in a nicely painted lounge room. I was almost expecting dirty mattresses and tents for the prices quoted.

I think it might be a slower night with the holiday but there are about 10 girls just chilling on couches and then about 8 couches with about 3 of them full with groups of under 35 Thai guys. The mammason is a very fat lady boy but speaks ok english and then gets us some sangsom. I think it was 350 baht which works for me. Then soda water was around 25 baht for a bigger than normal bottle. I think our total drink bill of sangsom and soda water was 435 baht.

After we each had a drink. The mommasan comes over explains that for 1200 baht you get a massage which includes a nearby hotel room and "boom boom" for an hour. Just pick a girl and she will sit with you while you drink and can talk to you (however none spoke english.) She was really nice about it and there was no pressure to get a girl. A few thai guys where completely sh*tfaced and she took care of sobering them up.

In regards to the girls. Most of them were really cute and attractive. Very thin with a few chubbers. All had good faces and if in a "normal girl" bar I think I'd have taken home all after a few drinks. I have scene whor*s from around the world and for under $40 these where the best I had ever scene. I am not saying models but for the price it was solid. I had read before that they have mostly burmese girls and that might be true. However these girls were mostly lighter skinned and not normally what I think of in regards to burmese. However they did seem to have the rounder circle face that is common in burmese girls. I still thought they were cute.

The internet doesn't really do a good job of helping you find karaoke 99 so I will tell you to find Santitham Guest House on google maps and either go west on that street a block or go west on that the street just north of the guest house. It's just north and east of all the bars rows that are in that area. It has a decently visible sign and if you can find that guest house then just driving around the block should eventually find you the sign. I think the hours are around 5 pm to 2 am. Closed Sunday and Monday I think is what the mammason told me.

Noticed a two love hotels while I was out the gym today and I checked out their websites. One looks really amazing (thetimemovement.com) and the other maybe more traditional (China chic). Both are right next to each other and you can find the most approximate location on the time movements site. They are just north of what Chet Yot.

After getting some work done I wanted to go take a ride and decided I would go check out this Sayuri place. Was easy enough to find on google maps even though I came through the twisty roaded residential neighborhood getting there. There was about 30 girls in the fishbowl and probably 30 non-thai asian guys on the couches just sorta staring. Alot of the girls were pretty but the layout there makes it hard to look at the girls without feeling like your are blocking some guys. He said it wasn't a soapy massage and that those didn't exist in CM and on in BKK. He said you got a shower (maybe he also said bath), massage, BJ and then boom boom. I've also visited 99 Karaoke and Celebrities Shower Massage and was disappointed with the girls in both. Compared to Bangkok these places are just not worth visiting. Half the girls in 99 Karaoke were way too old for me. Some were quite attractive but nothing that really caught the eye. A tour of the oily massage places around Sujhumvit 24-26 would give you a better selection of girls. A lot of the Celebrities girls were too fat or old. The quality doesn't come close to Nataree in Bangkok. I would compare it to somewhere like Avita in Bangkok where the prices are about the same. Sorry to bring up Bangkok in the Chiang Mai thread but that's where I live and in comparison Chiang Mai is really disappointing.

The layman's guide on how to get there:

From the moat go down the Loi Kroh Road right until it reaches the Chang Klan Road, that is where the night market is located. Go straight across the road into the road where the Red Lion restaurant will be on the left. Continue on to the end. This will bring you out to the Chiang Mai ring road, Charoen Prathet Road. Turn left and within a short distance the Celebrity Shower Massage will be on the right. It is in a sort of cul-de-sac but well sign posted, you can't miss it.

Haven't tried it myself because I have not heard of any good reports coming out of that place, so it's a case of try it and see.

Apparently, there are only 4 MP in Chiang mai so headed over to the one highest rated. I heard reports of inflated prices if you get a taxi or tuk tuk direct as the driver expects a commission from the complex. Instead, I studied the map and asked the tuk tuk to drop me at the baby grand boutique hotel, which is a five minute walk away.

The Chiang Mai commercial sex scene is no longer good value for money. For those that want to visit the North of Thailand, see the sights and take in some women as well during the later hours are best to skip Chiang Mai and continue on to Chiang Rai. Although the bar scene in Chiang Rai is contained in a small area, there it is quality rather than quantity. In the towns multitude of massage parlours there are young pretty girls, some Thai, some Hill tribe, Burmese and Chinese that will offer full sex as standard service. When I was there last year I could obtain a full one hour oil massage from a desirable hot girl plus full sex for 250 baht massage and 1000 baht for a no hurried, no pressurised sex session. I was given as much time as it took and whether I tipped or how much I tipped was left up to me.

The small bars there all had young pretty girls, same mix as in the massage parlours, the grots were few and far between, completely the reverse of Chiang Mai and many of the bars had freelancers hanging about the bar areas, I was really spoilt for choice. Cost of bargirl, 1 lady drink 220 baht, 300 to 400 baht bar fine and 1000 baht back to my hotel room short time. An all nighter, between 1500 to 2000 baht. This is far, far, far better value than Chiang Mai and also Chiang Rai does not seem to have been affected by the clamp downs that has practically demolished the adult entertainment venues of Chiang Mai over the years and very relaxed. Many of the Chiang Rai bars were open right through the night.

Not all Chiang Rai massage parlours have full sex on offer, but it's easy to tell the one's that do just by their appearance, unlike Chiang Mai where most of it is hit and miss.

Chiang Rai can no way be compared with Bangkok or Pattaya, but monger wise it certainly offers much better quality for cheaper than Chiang Mai and it also has many interesting tours and sight attractions to visit and see. All I am saying is, that for mongering and more, Chiang Rai is definitely worth a visit.

Last year a friend visited us in Chiang Mai from England and we decided to have a trip to Chiang Rai for a few days, in which I haven't visited for many years.

First we went on a one day organised tour. Cost 1000 baht each for the trip in an air conditioned mini bus, that included all the main tourist areas including right up to the Burmese border, the hill tribes, white temple, the black house, opium museum and the Golden triangle, with a nice lunch thrown in. It was great and well worth the money.

The night life and adult scene although only covering a very small area and mainly in the Jet Jod or Jet Rod Road whatever it's called areas, hardly mentioned in the mongers guides, I found had a lot more on offer and far cheaper than any of the much larger adult entertainment areas in Chiang Mai.

Massage parlours: A standard oil massage in an average no frills massage parlour that are abundant in Chiang Rai was priced from 250 baht up to 300 baht per hour. But many of the girls were young lookers, totally the reverse to the old granny parlours of Chiang Mai and at least 90% of these girls were offering full sex. I was surprised because in most of the parlours I visited I did not even have to work at it, the girls made it quite clear that boom boom was on offer if I wanted it. Cost for a full 1 hour massage followed by some no hurried full sex totalled 1300 baht. 300 for the massage. 1000 for the sex. Tip: Take your own condoms, as some of the girls did not have any available and quite rightly they won't perform without them.

Bars: There are a good many small open bars in the Jet Rod Road and surrounding areas. These appeared to have escaped all the clampdowns and restrictions that have fated Chiang Mai. Many of the bars are open right through the night, the girls were openly displaying their wares to all and sundry and most important, the majority are young lookers, nothing like the skank located in the Chiang Mai, Loi Kroh Road. A takeaway back to our hotel was 300 baht bar fine and 1000 baht for a couple of hours with the girl, maybe all night if she likes you. The lady drinks were a bit of a rip off, priced between 220 baht to 300 baht a shot. But after only buying 1 lady drink and some idle chat, the girls were quite willing to go with me, so that wasn't really a problem. I made the most of it and filled my boots at every opportunity.

Another good surprise were the numerous decent Farang food restaurants that seemed to have sprung up since my last visit years before, and again these were far cheaper and better value than the Western style restaurants of Chiang Mai.

The only downside that during the days we were there, between January 16th to January 24th, it was cold, very cold, even at the hotel where we stayed. But luckily there were no problems getting a bed warmer for the night from one of the nearby bars, and then things soon began to warm up.

I would recommend a trip to Chiang Rai, a town that although the adult entertainments are on a smaller scale, has much more and better quality for cheaper options on offer for the monger. I also found the Thais and the Farangs I met in Chiang Rai were very friendly and socialable. We soon made friends in the bars that we visited.

We stayed at the Golden Triangle Inn, which was 5 minutes walk from main bars and massage parlour areas.

Very cheap, about 700 baht per night, but I don't recommend it for the main reason being is that most of the rooms structures are made of wood and every move we made could be over heard by the whole block. My friend was staying in the adjoining room and we could talk to each other through the wall as if we were in the same room. So when we took girls back to the hotel the deeds had to be done very quietly. Luckily it was not the high season and my 2 friends and I were the only guests staying in the block during that time, otherwise it may have been rather embarrassing.

Having only stayed at the hotel mentioned above, I can't really recommend any others. Best to check these out online.

The massage parlours are nothing like as described above. Far from being full of 'young lookers', most of the ladies look like they're in their 30's or 40's. I did see one young looker and went in for a massage but she only offered a hand job, not open to oral or full sex at all. So I just had the massage which she was clearly disappointed with. I did hear one guy go at it in the cubicle next to me so I'm sure most of the ladies are up for it, but they're all very average looking so I wouldn't bother.

There are a few bars with average looking ladies. I've seen one or two who I'd call good lookers but nothing worth a 300 baht lady drink (WTF! A tuk-tuk driver offered to take me to 'boom boom lady' so I'm sure there's more out there but not in Jet Rod Road, which is mainly a backpacker area.

Girls elsewhere in the country seem to value having fun and generating steady customers. The basic values held by any good business person. I've had reliable "steadies" in other parts of Thailand that love to have a good time, love to screw, and always take great care of a steady customer. So far that seems a hopeless goal in CM. Any advise?

If you go into the craigslist Thailand personal ads, women wanting to meet men, there are scores of ads on there. But once you hit the exclusive Chiang Mai section the whole list disappears. In the craigslist Thailand Chiang Mai casual encounter section there is one or 2 skanky escorts offering quickies for a minimum of 2000 baht and that's about it.

As for the dating sites, again the Chiang Mai list is very limited and some of those girls come across as being so pure that they could almost qualify for becoming Nuns. I have also tried POF (Plenty of Fish) The Adult Hub and DIA (Date in Asia) but never had any successes. There are some who claim to have had successes on the dating sites, but for me I do not have the patience to start chatting up some women on those sites maybe for a period of several weeks just for a one night stand, and it's all very hit and miss plus the difficulties of filtering through all the time wasters, scammers, those just in it for a lot of money or those just trying to divert you to a pay subscribe porn or cam site.

Then there are the so-called adult dating sites that make huge claims that if you join their sites they have hot girls in our local areas just seeking sex. Such as; Adult Friend Finding, Fuckbook and a few others. But you have to pay a lot of dosh to find out if their claims are true and I am sceptical.

I have also tried my luck on facebook, but again nothing for Chiang Mai. There are the Thai sideliners offering sexual services on facebook, but their profiles are all in Thai. Just copy and paste this: ขายตัว; into the search on facebook and they will appear. But again still very limited regarding Chiang Mai.

There are various online Chiang Mai escort agencies loaded with photoshopped images of women. But most of these women are demanding a minimum of 5000 baht just to turn up and acknowledge you exist, and that's before prices are agreed and haggled for any sexual services required.

Try this: type into Google search, Chiang Mai Locator. Go into Chiang Mai Locator and type in: massage, into the search box, press enter. Virtually every massage parlour and spa in Chiang Mai will be listed on the page, including all those that offer extras. But most of them are simply gloried hand job parlours at very expensive rates and again come with mostly faked photoshopped pictures of girls on the pages.

Since this lonely area doesn't yet have anything going on, I figure I'll start it out with a question -- does anyone know anything about longer-term lodging options in Chiang Mai that are clean, air-conditioned, secure? (And, of course, girl-friendly, though I'm presuming most will be in this area.) I didn't like the experience much, preferring MPs instead, and haven't visited them since. I wouldn't be surprised if their number is greatly reduced now, considering how upscale CM has become.

Of the 5 or so fishbowl-style MPs that exist in CM, Sayuri had been my favorite since my first visit until early 2000's when CM Hills became my top pick. In those early visits, in the early 90's, both the selection and service were outstanding. The very first girl I pulled from Sayuri ended up becoming my GF for a week. Another one, a few years later was even better. My best mongering experience ever. I very much doubt that kind of experience would be available today, sad to say.

By early 2000's, the decline in the selection and service levels had become noticeable. Still, I never failed to find what I was looking for, and still preferred mongering in CM over any other place. This decline, unfortunately, continues. If in the past the challenge was picking the best girl from among many doable ones, now it's just trying to find one doable one from 15-20 in the fishbowl. Challenging, but not impossible. On my latest visit, sometimes I had to shuttle between several different places, but in the end never failed to have a satisfying experience. Service levels have gone down too, but still among the best in the world in my opinion- this is still LOS after all. Perhaps surprisingly, real prices (adjusted for inflation and exchange rates) haven't gone up much if at all.

So in summary, I'd say that if your primary purpose is mongering, or if you like bars and traditional expat-oriented nightlife, CM is not your place. But if you're coming here for touristic reasons but want some actions on the side, in a Thai-oriented atmosphere, you'll find it, and with some luck, have as good a time as anywhere else.

The younger woman that you mention, who I guess is in popular demand as the majority of the staff are grots, I was told by a friend that she or another woman there roughly the same age, asked 1000 baht for a HJ and 2000 baht for her to undress and give a HJ, not including the massage fee or tips. Type in Il Buco massage, on Utube and watch their video.

I have visited the OT massage a couple of times in the past and on each visit have walked out of their greatly disappointed. First the customer has to get through a barrage of papa sams or pimps that determine the prices by how much they think a customer will pay. All the first price negotiating has to be haggled with them before even considering having a massage. Then once in the room with a girl she will start another how much you give me haggling process, like being locked in a room with a high pressure insurance salesman. One girl offered me full sex for 1000 baht not including the massage. I agreed, she took her underwear off only, got on top of me and said; you have 2 minutes to get this over with. That was 4 years ago and have never been back. Unless things have improved since that somehow I doubt, I definitely would not recommend any of these massage parlours, not from my personal experiences anyway.

What I am interested in is getting a decent shag, by even a half decent looking girl at a not cheap but a fair and reasonable price. But that no longer seems available in Chiang Mai or only by luck or chance. Got bored of the no frills HJs long ago.

The advice is, that the massage parlours in the centre of town, the more touristy areas, are definitely not good value for money, they are mostly quicky HJs by women that have little or no massage skills for the cost of that would be for full sex in some areas of Thailand. A few minutes rub over with some cheap smelly gunk and a quick HJ for 1000 plus baht in my opinion is a rip off.

The best bet but still very hit and miss, is to try the massage parlours outside the main drag, located away from the more tourist areas, where the chances are that the services will be cheaper and the staff more obliging due to appreciating the business more having to deal with less tourists and customers during the day. They are around for those who don't mind doing some searching online. Avoid the places that have, club, karaoke, spa and VIP listed in their names, these are rip off big time, I have heard of many horror stories coming out of those places.

On average an oil massage should not cost any more than between 250 to 350 baht per hour and a quicky no frills, no touch HJ from a girl that seems to have 10 ft long arms dressed in sealed tight grope proof clothing is only worth between 300 to 400 baht, 500 baht if the girl lets the customer have a grope, all excluding the prices of the so-called massage The cost of anything over and above that the girl is willing to perform then should be negotiable between her and the customer.

It gives the option of subscribing to the insiders guide for 1600 baht per year claiming that it has details to be found no where else. But viewing everything is completely free except it is very basic. It doesn't give many reviews, but it display photos of the places. Ignore the pictures of all the beautiful sexy young girls, they're all fake.

Chiang Mai Locator does provide a reasonable guide as to what's available for the monger in Chiang Mai. If a listed place interests you and there is not enough details, then it is easy once armed with the name to search elsewhere on the Internet.

I was in Chiang Mai for two weeks to check out the place as a possible place to live. Great small city, tons of high quality yet cheaply priced food, people are much nicer here than in Bangkok and they don't 'fake' smile as much as the Bangkokians, has a interesting Laguna Beach / San Fran vibe there. And while I don't care much for these bearded backpacker 20 something type foreigners there trying to make a penny of their blogs, Chiang Mai is a great city.

With that said, everything is great except for. A NIGHTLIFE. I will be honest and didn't explore more like I should have, but overall the nightlife seems to be non-existant. There were a few karaoke bar places with very attractive girls around Old City, but it looked like one of those places as soon as you buy a few drinks, you will get a big tab for 4 to 5 K THB with no happy ending. I've been hearing about the massage parlors and will surely hit that up next, but you can tell that Chiang Mai overall is a big dud for nightlife in comparison to BK.

I did go to Chiang Rai and was very dissapointed with the nightlife there. But then again, a small town like that which is just north of Chiang Mai, it shouldn't be to anyone's surprise. I did go to the area (its been a few months since I was there so forgot the exact street area) where the action is at, and its poorly set up. Its a bunch of mini bars with 1-3 girls on average. Alot of these girls don't really give you the vibe that they are down for action or if they are milking you for more drinks. I did happen to try one place that had three girls with one decent looking one. They just told me to sit down and asked me for a drink. I ordered beer and it was nothing but uncomfortable silenece between the girl and I. The vibe was weird.

I sensed that these places maybe geared towards the type that likes to hang out for a couple of hours with a girl, buy her drinks the whole night, and not have a too-expensive tab at the end of the night with hopes of scoring. This is not my place. No way. The one thing that did save the trip for me which was quite funny was going to the MP that's talked about. The girls there are old and don't have good bodies, but there might be a few milfs that are a bit thin.

I happen to score with this lady who looked to have a nice body (and she did. She was a mountain girl based on her shoulders and legs), but up close, this lady looked like a granny! She looked to be in her early 50's. Maybe pushing 55. But WOW, the sesssion was great and she was into it! I never thought doing a granny would have been this interesting! LOL! Would I do it again? Hell no. But I did pay upfront, I figured. 'ah, what the hell. I'm horny in Chiang Rai so lets make something out of nothing' and I got my moneys worth it. Again, I wouldn't do it but it was quite an interesting experience to say the least.

On a side tangent, there is no way I could live in Chiang Rai. Way too quiet, not much to do especially when you have Chiang Mai next door. I think Chiang Rai is great to start a family and all. Its certainly a cozy town so in that regards, I could see one wanting to make that move there.

In summary, Chiang Rai IMO hands down beats Bangkok overall for everything else except for the nightlife. BK has an excellent nightlife (no, the girls are nowhere near the quality of Angeles. But its nice to eat at a nice steakhouse, get a good stroll and head into Nana or Cowboy.). If Chiang Mai had even a small nightlife then I would move out there in a heartbeat. It really does beat BK hands down. But zero nightlife in CM is unacceptable. One could I guess visit BK once a month and 'splurge' on a weekend trip I guess.

The commercial monger scene or lack of it is very dismal in Chiang Mai. Unfortunately for me I have made foundations and live here. Travelling southwards to Bangkok from Chiang Mai is no short hop plus all the expense of staying at hotels and travelling fares hardly makes the trip viable. It could cost a small fortune staying in Bangkok just for a few days.

I am truly amazed how the Chiang Mai adult entertainments and social scene has dwindled down to literally nothing over the years, and virtually nothing available online. How can this be possible in Thailand's second biggest city? Even back in the UK there was more available advertised in the local newspapers and online at reasonable rates than in Chiang Mai. I can remember only a couple of years ago getting full sex in outer London for £30 from a 19 year old girl in her own house, advertised as massage in the local newspaper. That's 1500 baht everything included, and probably a lot cheaper than going with a bargirl who is passed her sell by date, that involves drinks, bar fines, short time room and tips. I'm surprised how boring I found CM (from a daily living standpoint), although the expats who live there (mostly married that I met outside of the bar areas) like the place. Perhaps its charms grow on you. The local Thais were certainly friendly.

Just ask cab or tuktuk driver and he will make your tour about some specialized houses scattered all over the city. In one midnight 12.0 am to 4.00 am I had made a tour for about 8 houses. Every house have dozens of young girls. The service is insight or take out as per your choice. Although to avoid scam don't pay upfront even they will ask you hard.

I never used these houses, even specious but dirty, un-kept and block your nose just with nasty smell.

If you live there and speak a little Thai (I suppose) then why don't you try the brothels that cater to the locals?3 years ago I visited one of the brothels that tries to disguise it's self as a noodle cafe. Inside the cafe were 2 girls in their early 20's. One of the girls looked thin and sick and the other girl I gave a 3 out of 10 and decided to chose her as there was nothing else. I had to do the price negotiating with an old lady in her 70's. I wasn`t bothered about the price then the old lady said, 300 baht, which I had to pay in advance and was surprised, dirt cheap I thought and maybe gave me the Thai price because I can speak the lingo. Then a guy led me and the girl to a high rise block of apartments close by. The building looked like it was meant to be residential flats but the builders had run out of money and it was left uncompleted and some of the rooms were being used as an unofficial brothel.

I was taken up to the fourth floor with the guy and the girl, then an old Thai man suddenly appeared on the scene. He began arguing with the other Thai guy that Farangs should not be allowed up here, but he lost and then the girl and I went into a room. As I entered the room the smell of the toilet, mildew and cats p-ss almost knocked me flat. Spread all over the floor were packets of condoms and used condoms lying all over the place. The girl hardly said a word to me, she got on the bed and again she was one of those who would only take off her underwear, it was to be a wham bam, no kiss, no touch, get it over with quick job.

I undressed and got onto the bed, then I realised that the smell of cats p-ss was actually on the bed, it seemed cats had been using it as a toilet. Even during my short term stay in CM I did get a little bored but it was a good boring (hard to explain). It was more of at 'peace with myself' kind of thing without getting new age here. I love walking and it was nice to see some trees besides mountains of buildings and concrete. I am also not a beach person and don't really care for that climate, so not seeing palm trees after palm trees or coconut trees was nice. My geographical type of areas are green cool mountains (sorta like in Hong Kong or South Korea) more so than beach, desert, farms, etc.

I also found the girls most attractive there and more open (I was at a night market by Old City and managed to Insta-date a cute local girl there but had to leave the following days to BK and was pointless keeping in contact with a monger like me in a place like that. I live a reasonable distance outside the main city of Chiang Mai and not having visited the town for sometime, decided to drive in on my motorbike and survey the traditional massage parlours around the area just to discover if the scene has remained the same, or changed either for better or worse. What I found was that the scene has changed much more than I would have expected.

Here is my report from my visit into the town, Thursday, January 15,2015, from 11.00 am morning until 7. 00 pm late evening.

I began driving around the outskirts of the town entering from Chiang Mai Land area, into the main drag and then exploring all the areas, must have covered every square mile including the main roads leading off the Tapae Road, the Tapae Gate, the Chiang Mai Gate, Huay kaew Road then back into the centre of town, the Loi Kroh Road right through to the river and night bazaar. I stopped at every traditional massage parlour I came across on route just to have a quick peak at the staff and actually went into one parlour for an oil massage.

Mostly every single massage parlour I came across on my travels was staffed by middle aged and elderly women. What I did note was that there seemed to be many more very old women, some in their 60's and even guys working these parlours the likes of I had rarely seen in the past. Perhaps business has declined in the gay massage parlours and many of the man massage guys are moving in to the traditional parlour establishments. I must have perused scores of parlours and rarely did I see any young or youngish female staff. The older women have become masters at making themselves appear younger from a distance, they have clever tactics of calling and waving to customers or standing or sitting just inside their premises that have dim discrete lighting or in the shade and it's not until they are approached closely does it become apparent that they are old hags wearing thick makeup, dyed hair or wigs and are mutton dressed like lambs. The very few places I did see that had younger female staff members the girls always appeared to be of a certain kind, short, fat with stumpy short legs, some wearing mini skirts with legs like tree trunks, totally unattractive. I would rate them as being a 1 out of 10. Another ploy is they put a few young lookers on display sitting outside a parlour and once inside an old granny appears from behind a curtain to perform the massage. I got caught out myself once with this trick. Approached one of the lookers, requested a one hour oil massage. The girl lead me inside, I watched her prepare the oil and towels then she lead me inside a curtailed cubicle and told me to undress then she walked out. I stopped outside one massage parlour on the approach to the Pantip Plaza about 1. 5 kilometres outside the town. It was staffed by younger women including 2 men. Then within the first 10 minutes of the massage she without warning grabbed my dick and said; I give you special massage you give me 1000 baht. From there I headed to the Loi Kroh Road. Some few and far between reasonable lookers there, but from experience and what friends have told me these places have become fast, aggressive and furious happy ending parlours, sometimes demanding silly money so I decided not to try any out. Other roads leading off the Loi Kroh, still old hags and even ladyboys. Then into the night Bazaar. Parked my motorbike and had a walk about. These parlours were staffed by many men and aging women. I did see one looker but I know from experience that the parlours in that area are geared up for tourists very prim and proper, never heard of anyone receiving happy endings or FS from those establishments, plus some have increased their hourly oil massage rates to 400 baht. From there done a few more kilometres but it was mostly the same, old hags or the odd guys.

On the last stage of my survey I ended up in a remote soi not far from the Thai Cultural Centre that leads to the main Seripi duel carriageway route. By accident I stumbled across the Teen-ee massage parlour, that looked very posh from the outside in a bright green building. I read about this place in the Chiang Mai locator website, it guarantees all the girls are under 25 years old. Great I thought, I'll give this a try. Parked my motorbike, approached the main building and then was hit by the sight of a big board displaying their massage price rates. Most of the massage options are in 4 figure numbers and this is purely for massage no sex but probably just a happy ending that could cost almost 2000 baht not including tips. Prior to driving home, went around to some of the areas of my old haunts just to take a look, including the Las Vagas club. All that now stands of this place is what appears to be an empty derelict building with the fading sign Las Vagas still displayed above it's door. Made me feel quite sad remembering all the laughs and some great times I had with friends in there some year ago.

So there you have it. Unless anyone has information of some decent places I have missed?

Based on all the reviews posted, I came to Chiang Mai with very low expectation. But what I found was the total opposite. I had a great time here.

Warm up cafe and monkey club was great. I stayed near CMU and had a great time flirting with local women here. I partied in old town which lead to nice local women showing me where spicy and lucky bars are. We partied until 6 am.

I think it helps being a young decent looking Asian.

Finally the prices are cheaper than Bangkok and Phuket. The weather was cool and the air the clean.

Now consider this: to take out some skank short time in the Loi Kroh Road, that involves buying drinks, a bar fine, possibly a hotel room for those not on holiday but travelling from home and the short time fee that has to be negotiated, plus tips, could cost you 3000 baht or more.

The so-called posh body to body massage parlours opening up all around Chiang Mai could cost you 2000 baht for short time with a 20 something girl and in these places full sex is rarely offered and if available could cost a ridiculous amount of money. The soapy massage parlours that claim to give 90 minutes, but no one ever gets that, can cost up to 2000 baht or more. The traditional massage parlours where many now have happy endings on offer, can cost 300 baht for the so-called massage and many are pushing for 700 and even 1000 baht for a quickie no thrills HJ and these are by women well passed their sell by dates. In all these establishments the girls seem to make up the rules and prices as they go along. But in the UK, what is on offer, what you get and for how much is clearly stated right from the beginning.

I believe that not only Chiang Mai but the whole of Thailand can longer be categorised as the sex capital of world, they have got greedy and other destinations are much better value and have a wider variety on offer.

Cambodia is too thrid-world with decidedly below-average looking women. Vietnam has some lookers but attitudes are way too sharp. It's cheap if you know where to go ($15-$25 or so), but if your typical total cost in Chiang Mai is 3000 baht, your cost in Vietnam will be $150, since they are much more adept of fleecing you if you aren't sharp enough. Thais at least usually feel obliged to provide fair service, with Vietnamese that's not the case unless you make them.

For several years I have read about the Phucome Hotel Soapy Massage. The reviews and reports have never been very good that had put me off visiting the place. Most of the reports claim that the premises is antiquated, seen better days, the girls are plain and it's the least favourite of all the Chiang Mai so-called soapy massage parlours. The prices quoted for the so-called massage is from 1100 to 1400 baht in the reports.

So yesterday out of desperation I called shite or bust and decided to try out the Phucome Hotel soapy massage. I arrived there 5. 00 pm at the main entrance of the hotel, drove my motorbike into the car park that more or less extends all the way under the building. Very easy to find, just drive to the rear of the car park and there is a big neon sign that reads; Chiang Mai Massage. I parked my motorbike in the huge but almost empty car park, and then had to walk up one flight of stairs to the soapy massage.

The reports are true, as I proceeded through the doors it felt like walking into a 1930's cinema entrance and the place had a musty smell. Silent screen stars like Gloria Swanson or Lillian Gish would not had looked out of place there, but it does have character. I could see some girls behind the glass and I was the only customer. Then I was immediately greeted by the papa san, a pleasant guy in his mid to late forties. It soon became apparent that no one could speak even one word of English in there, but I do speak some passable Thai and was comfortably able to converse with the guy. There were 9 girls sitting behind the glass, most were quite youngish, in there late 20's to early 30's, but as the reports said; definitely no lookers among them, I would give the best of them, a 4 out of 10, but at least there were no old hags in there 40's and 50's like the regular massage parlours, which was a plus for me. I've made about a dozen or so visits to CM over the last 20+ years. My mongering style is limited to fishbowl-style massage parlors (MPs). I don't go to bars, so don't have any info on them, but just walking around the town at night, I'd fully agree with A. T. That the bar scene is non-existent or very bad. Nor do I have any info on any online options.

In my early visits, in the early to mid 90's, I also sampled some lady houses, some in Nimmanhaemin Road area, some in the southern parts of the city. I didn't like the experience much, preferring MPs instead, and haven't visited them since. I wouldn't be surprised if their number is greatly reduced now, considering how upscale CM has become.

Of the 5 or so fishbowl-style MPs that exist in CM, Sayuri had been my favorite since my first visit until early 2000's when CM Hills became my top pick. In those early visits, in the early 90's, both the selection and service were outstanding. The very first girl I pulled from Sayuri ended up becoming my GF for a week. Another one, a few years later was even better. My best mongering experience ever. I very much doubt that kind of experience would be available today, sad to say.

By early 2000's, the decline in the selection and service levels had become noticeable. Still, I never failed to find what I was looking for, and still preferred mongering in CM over any other place. But if you're coming here for touristic reasons but want some actions on the side, in a Thai-oriented atmosphere, you'll find it, and with some luck, have as good a time as anywhere else.

Paid and entered. A large small stage and chairs around it. Most of the times I was there, mostly around 10 in the evening, 5, 6 girls "dancing " or better said "möving" They are for take out. 600 BF 2000 for the lady.

After this visit I went to spotlight a gogo. Is at the circular not far from thapae gate. I liked that gogo. About 15 girls in shifts of 5 or six "dancing"and after that sitting down at the bar. The Russians stay away due to their problems, the Europeans stay away due to a) their problems, Greece and be the devaluation of the euro against the baht!

For one euro you got 42 or even more baht about one year ago. Now you get 36 or 37! So Thailand is now 15% more expensive for Europeans. Sorry not for the Britain but they do not feel European I believe.

Read somewhere that the Chinese travel organisations require huge discount from the hotels. Some of the hotels do have just 30 or 40% of the rooms occupancy. Sorry am not British can not find the word. If that is the case the girls in the soapies will have the same experience!

It's a huge hotel, the ground floor and facilities are impressive including gift stores, lounge areas and a nice garden area. The rooms are really spacious, I had a 24th floor room with river view which I and the girls enjoyed in many senses, LOL.

The pool area renovation (2nd floor) is finished by end of September.

It's out along Chang Khlan Road, so you'll need a tuktuk when bringing girls back from Loi Kroh, 50-75 bht (but use their free shuttle services when going into the city center). For location only, LE Meridien is better.

Could someone please point me to a Thai hotel that isn't guest friendly? I've never seen one. Especially when you're asking about four or five star hotels. I can't imagine any of the pricier hotels risking offending their customer base by denying a visitor. One of the better things about Thailand is that people's personal business tends to remain just that. I never made it to Foxy Lady either, but it's a 2 min walk from Loi Kroh, good reports around.

So my point: If you want sex in CM just look for it where you are, it's available everywhere, and girls are generally nice and beautiful. If for monger as primary purpose, go to Patts, if you want to enjoy life too, CM is a great place.Couldn't have put it better.

Big rooms with bed (no blankets, they are not furnished for a comfortable sleep! Sofa, Jacuzzi, big TV with (Japanese) porn. There is however a surcharge for two girls, I paid 280 baht for one hour when I brought two ladies. Not sure what the following hours would be charged after that.

I've had some very good sessions at Sayuri though, including DATY, DT, 69 - and easily filling out all 1,5 hours. So I guess it depends on which girl you pick.

I'm pretty much will repeat what I said before about a year ago. Chiang Mai IMO is the best city to live in Thailand and of the best in the world. It is a 'bit' slow and laid back but the green backdrop of the mountains, the immense amount of different foods you can eat that cater towards the semi-health nuts like myself (gluten free-pizza, an array of chicken 'breast' BBQ on stick, etc) and the lovely Chiang Mai girls. I've been to rural areas of Thailand, to the deep South, to the central part and parts where no 'farangs' have journeyed. And Chiang Mai warm up to me than most of those places. And this is despite the high number of Westerners either living there or vacationing.

Also Chiang Mai girls have the firmest and best shapely butts in all of Thailand. Its not 'big' (go down to Hat Yai. A lot of the Muslim or Muslim mixed Hat Yai girls have 'WOW' butts. But Chiang Mai may be the winner.). But its nice and bumpy.

Its a great laid back culture, delicious food, great looking girls for Thailand, cheap cost of living. YET, the biggest draw-back its probably one of the worst in mongering. At least last time I was there.

From the bridge, turn left at the second traffic lights, (Bamrung Rajd Road) then it is about 400 m to Soi 2 (second road on the left) and from there 50 m to the entrance of Sayuri (left side of the road again). Inside take there are 3 doors after going up the stairs. you want the middle door. The most right hand door is a legit massage and I have no idea what happens behind the left hand door. When you enter you see the fishbowl on your right, so you know you are in the right place.

Thanks in advance!It's not at Bamrung Rajd, but Bamrung Rajt soi 2, a small soi that connects the parallel Bamrung Rajt and Bamrung Rajt soi 1. From Bamrung Rajt along soi 2 towards soi 1 it's on your left hand, you cannot miss it, it's a big complex for that small road, and with a huge parking lot in front of it.

Just a pice of advice: Stay away from the Chiang Mai Karaoke clubs, it's well documented that they cater to corporate and Asian clientele. You might easily end up with no pussy and the monkey walk and a bill of several 10 k notes. If you like karaoke, choose an ordinary bar instead, lot's of them have karaoke too, but with affordable prices and girls.

The prices I confirmed earlier this summer was: far right and number only: 1,1, middle section + letter "M": 1,3 and left +letterB (I believe it is, I've never tried one of those): more expensive. For the models (sitting outside the bowl to the far left) I don't know, but probably much higher and individual prices.

That the numbers only girls do not give the B2 be matches with what I saw earlier this summer, but at my last visit I only paid 1100 and that included nuru powder and water mattress. I don't remember her number though, but she was sitting in the far right section.
