I have been playing in Bangkok for over 10 years but I have never ventured outside the city, not even to Pattaya. I am planning a 2-3 month "excursion" of Laos and Myanmar which inevitably means crossing into Thailand, maybe also Cambodia. This trip is both cultural-Historical and sensual. So I am reading the Isaan Areas thread and this thread, both going back to 2010. I will go back further when I have time. My trip is January and February of 2014 so I have time. What I want to do ASAP is fix some kind of itinerary so I can purchase the air tickets way in advance to get the best price. I am coming from USA. I have used Air Asia, Tiger Airlines, etc. Many times and know the drill.
What I hope to experience in addition to the big cities is the border towns. I don't speak any of the languages but I am Asian and have never had problems in the past traveling in Thailand and Cambodia. I will keep reading these threads to get the latest intel but if anyone can give me tips, I will be very appreciative. You can also PM me.
Oh, one last thing. Before any of you jump on me, let me say that I DO NOT intend to f* 2 girls a day for 10 days. I don't post much because I am not into describing my sessions with WGs unless it's something odd or outstanding. But I have travelled the world mongering and have posted reports.

I will be going for 2400 baht roundtrip February 10th but that flight never gets too expensive. Personally, I would love to catch a flight to Udon Thani and bus it to Vientiane, Laos for some mongering on a budget but am not sure if I am going to be able to make that one. Think a map is your friend though. Big cities best bets and the vets know the down low spots which they may be reluctant to divulge.

Many times I'd been to Ban Phe on visits to Thailand, but only to get the Ferry over to Koh Samet.
I hadn't even considered looking for action in Ban Phe.
Before I get onto reports of options found there (posts 2, 3 & 4) , below is what sparked off this exploration of Ban Phe.
#1476 by Crocodilexp on 06-05-13 (Other Areas).
In one of the recent Stickman submissions, a guy said:
"In all my travels, my favorite place was Ban Phe near Rayong. Back behind the wharf there are dozens of working girl houses, and they're all full of beautiful Myanmar girls for 300 baht. Never see a farang there, but they let me pay the Thai price.".
Does this place still exist? I'd go check it out (and write a report) if anybody could confirm a recent experience there.Investigating the source of the report quoted by Crocodilexp, my net searches only found that text as being posted by someone called BilboFarang in June 2013 on Livingthai. Org, claiming to speak fluent Thai (which may prove be a crucial factor in this whole thing).
It was a description that contained problems."Back behind the Wharf" was very ambigous. 50 mtrs behind the Wharf? Or 3km behind the Wharf? Hidden in a narrow alley way? Or way back out on the main road heading west to Bangkok? Working Girl Houses marked in Thai Script? (see note above, about his fluency in Thai) or locally known houses with no markings at all? Did he have initial local assistance to learn of the places and in order to get the local price? None of this was clear, and although he wrote recently, an important thing about the post was 'when' did he enjoy all this in Ban Phe? 3 months ago? 1 year ago? 15 years ago?
Of the places in my reports 2, 3 & 4, perhaps the local Karaoke / Bars on 'Soi Sang Ka Si 6' (Post 4) with ST on the premises fit the description best as being locally orientated, but none of the Girls were Burmese now (or the Mamasan would not admit it, if they were) and the lowest price I could get was B500. Or, maybe the wider number of karaoke bars said to have once existed on Soon Kanka 1 (literally "Behind the Wharf") mentioned in my Post 3 were once the hub of such activity, now decimated?
My guess is that either these 'dozens of working girls houses' are situated in houses invisible to outsiders, or perhaps his visit was quite a number of years ago now.
I only encountered Burmese Girls in Hiso Massage (Post 2 of 4) and only HJ was on offer during my visit it seems, but maybe that was just bad luck that day. To sum it up, action could be found in Ban Phe but it was either 'cheap and cheerfull' local joints, or so called 'VIP' and expensive. Hopefully my reports 2, 3 & 4 will assist fellas who visit Ban Phe.

Location : Hiso Massage, Ban Phe.
Specifics : Soi Suan Son / Suan Son Khaoyaichoom.
Cost : B300 for 60 Minutes Oil Massage. Extras, discuss.
Time : Afternoon.
'Officially' this place is out of Ban Phe. Walking / Riding / Driving east along the main coast road you pass Nuantip Pier, pass the Municipal Pier, past Tesco Lotus and then under an arch over the road bidding your farewell to Ban Phe. On from here, you begin to approach what is marked on some maps as Suan Son Beach and Suan Son Forest, where there are several Falang orientated places beach side, to eat and drink.
Opposite these bars, there is a road (Photo #1) heading north, called Soi Suan Son (Suan Son Khaoyaichoom on some maps). Situated at the entrance to this road are two shabby signs, which may be related to Hiso Massage or perhaps not at all. One points to 'Thai Massage' up the road, but may relate to an earlier operation that may have existed there. One of the Ban Phe maps online shows several symbols on this road for massage, but I only found one (Hiso Massage) perhaps indicating a 'purge' or maybe others didn't get enough custom after TEFL left town, and closed down (or were 'closed' down)?
Walking a few minutes up the road, a yellow sign (Photo # 6) was noticed on the left, as "Hiso Massage" (with a promisingly erotic sillhouette of a lady on the sign,) listing the opening times as 'Open 10:00 to 24:00'. Casually walked past it and rubberknecked. It didn't have the usual hallmarks of an 'official' massage place, and to me looked suspect. Girls were sitting in a little cafe and the initial awkward response to my enquiry there about massage, led me to believe further that this out of town joint did more than rub some oil over you. Clocked a truly truly beautiful Girl sitting there amongst another 5 others."Oh yes, you'll do nicely" thinking to myself, and told them I'd be back in 30 minutes. Continued walking North just for a browse, and no more Massage places were seen. After Hiso Massage, it increasingly became semi rural where there are signs for land for sale. Came back to Hiso Massagee looking forward to the session and went in for some 'fun'.
Luckily, the Girl I'd clocked got up to go with me. God damn, if my guess was correct this was going to be a fantastic session. Beautiful moon shape face, lovely smile and a cute little ass. Went upstairs with her, admiring the view, and was going to discreetly ask her on the way if she did extras before we entered a room, but we were already there and she opened a door. Well, what came next wasn't envisioned. Rather than a private room, it was an open dorm room with several mattresses laid out like a legitimate looking massage joint, with curtains to be pulled across for Oil Massage, and there were two Thai guys there getting a Thai massage. My mistake at this point, was throwing away my usual standard operating procedure of getting things clarified in advance. I gambled on assumptions. Aspects of the whole place made me confident that this was a FS place masquerading as a legitimate establishment, making me ditch the caution. You live and learn, don't you.
Once the curtains were pulled around my matrress, stripped off totally and put the towel over my important bits and then she came back in and had a smile on her face. Asking me where I was from, in return her name was asked and she said "Myanmar" misunderstanding my question and revealing why her beauty stood out. I got her true name (witheld for this post). Once she said where she was from, it seemed that this 'might' be one of the places mentioned as having 'Beautiful Myanmar Girls' in (but B300 for FS still seemed too good to be true). Well the massage began, and oh dear. It was very very poor and had indications of someone just learning the ropes of massage. However, my guess was this was just the formal pretense for futher action. Eventually the Thai guys finished up and left the room so it was just myself and her in the room now, and more condusive to start probing a bit more about what else she did as extras once turned over and able to talk to her more easily.
Due to little English, it ended up with her with some hesitation signifying HJ with her hand for B500 once probing about extras."Not do Boom Boom" she said, the crushing words. Keeping with it and enquiring why, it was falling on deaf ears and she was less smiley than before due to the approach. Well, talk about getting it totally wrong. Assumptions, the mother of all 'errors'. Or, perhaps this was just a case of bad luck in getting one who didn't do FS?
I asked her age and if memory serves, she said 19 which may have played a part. HJ was still an option, but as cute as she was, my heart was set on FS that day and really the lamest of oil massages made me suspect that the HJ would be similar. Later there were sounds of Thai men talking in the corridor and maybe the ones who had been in the room and left a bit earlier. Now suspicious, I suspected that maybe they'd gone into individual rooms to be 'finished' off with FS, but who knows? It is unknown if this was just bad luck on my visit, or offical policy in place that falang don't get serviced with FS? Whatever the case, information was shared about this place as HJ seemed to be on the menu at least. Other Girls there may do FS in a separate room, if you visit so I chose not to write this place off. Given the 'Myanmar Connection' in this place, it was a real surprise to me that FS wasn't on the menu (at least on my visit, and with the Girl I got, who was a real cutie).
On the way out, an older falang shaped like a hippo was glimpsed woddling into a room with another Girl and the room was seen to be also an open plan room and not a private room either. It indicated that this place is already known by falang, and perhaps that this place is more 'legit' than the impression it gives. Bless her, she was a lovely Girl. If she is learning the ropes of massage then she has a long way to go though, and so incredibly dissapointing that I didn't get to enjoy her little muff.

Location : 'VIP Massage Karaoke Drinks and Lady' and 'Poon Massage'. Ban Phe.
Specifics : Both situated on Soon Kanka 1, opposite Tarua Phe Pier, near Christie's.
Opposite Tarua Phe Pier, is the road 'Soon Kanka 1', with Christie's and a main 7-11 either side of its entrance.
On an old web report related to TEFL, there was mention of a number of Karaoke / Massage places in the area behind both of those with about 4-5 ladies each, ST going for appx B1000 but likely negotiable. In 2013, things seem quite a bit different back in that zone. I didn't see a number of places there now, but there was a sign (Photo #3) on the main beach front road near Christies's pointing to 'VIP Massage, Karaoke, Drinks and Lady' (Photos 5, 6 & 7) , written in a combination of Thai and Latin script, pointing down Soon Kanka 1 (Photo #4).
Walking around in this area, the 'VIP' joint seemed to be the only 'real' player left.
It remained shut until early afternoon when a few ladies were milling about there, operating as a skeleton crew. I went in to have a quick drink and a recce. It has a tacky stage at the back where go go kind of dancing probably goes on, but in the afternoon was essentially dead inside.
Enquiring with the two or three ladies, apparently the place gets going from midnight onwards.
Each to their own, but waiting up that late for action is not my thing. General enquiry about ST Boom Boom on the premises was met with conformation, and enquiry about price led to a quote of B2000. Both aspects of the place were not attractive to me in the slightest. Initial impressions when seeing the sign from the main beach front road was that this place was a bit of a tourist trap and perhaps an attempt 'regulate' prior joints all in one single place, if it were not for the prevelant use of Thai script. Ladies inside said it was mix of Thai and Falang custom. It may be worth checking out if you're a night owl, but if B2000 was the guide price given then they'd better be good right? One in there day time was fair and had big tits. I would have certainly given her a load but she didn't seem to be particularly 'working' in the afternoon during my general enquiry.
Other buildings have the appearance of 'once' having harboured independent naughty massage / karaoke joints, but now seem to be shut down, empty and gathering dust. I found this to be a trend all over Ban Phe really, apart from a few legitimate massage joints operating in town.
Other than the so called 'VIP' place, one place (Photos 8, 9 & 10) further up Soon Kanka 1 opened at 6pm, and for the purpose of this report will be referred to as 'Poon' due to the signage.
According to the lone local guy inside, the women arrived at 7:30pm. B300 for 1hr Oil Massage, according to him. Decided to clarify things by enquiring with sign language if they do boom boom, and he nodded but didn't know how much they charge. Came back at 7:30pm and there were only three women inside, two in their mid 20s and one troll who may give a good massage but that was the limit of my interest.
Chose one and we headed upstairs, deciding en-route to clarify things in advance. It was actually B300 for 1hr Oil Massage, and talk of 'extras' was met by her mocking in a."Hey, do you know what this guy wants?" way to the woman downstairs, which was out of line and I began to walk. Heard a voice from downstairs say B1300 total for massage and boom boom. Ok, acceptable I guess but the mocking attitude ruined it for me so I didn't bother with either a massage of anything else. With only three on offer that night, certainly not a fishbowl but put up here for information / option purposes nonetheless.
Earlier in the day I had walked a bit further up Soon Kanka 1where it curves right to head down to Soon Kanka 2, and there are one or two unusual hovels. I overheard the word 'Falang' in conversation when passing one of these places and a dodgy looking fellow tried to sell me an overpriced Beer. He had about 6 Girls sitting outside. It probably was a local 'shoot and go' joint, but the girls all looked like Yabba heads to me, not very attractive, a bit volatile somehow, and I noticed multiple scars on one of their arms. Walking on, I pondered."Who let the Dogs out?"
Carrying on round to the right and close to heading down Soon Kanka 1, another place was noticed with some fit looking young girls outside and a few young local lads there with loud music playing. However, I just wasn't sure about the place and its purpose. Walking past, there were blank looks from both the younger guys and the girls so I didn't want to approach on an incorrect assumption and offend them.

Location : Local Bar Brothels. Ban Phe.
Specifics : Sala Sang Ka Si Soi '6'
Cost : B500 for FS (30mins) including room.
Directions (Photos attached to this post, to accompany text)
Walk West along the sea front until you see Christie's, a Restaurant and Bar situated opposite 'Tarau Pier' and perched at the entrance to 'Soon Kanka 1', next to one of Ban Phe's busy 7-11. Continue walking West and the next pier you will pass is called 'Chokkrista Pier'.
During the day, the next land mark to look for next (Photos #1 & 1a) is a lime green painted building on your right, a building that is directly opposite 'Seree Pier' (the landmark you can use if doing this at night) and is the landmark for the road north that you need to take next.
On Photo #1, both a white car and pink jeep are entering / leaving this wide road north, named Soi Sala Sang Ka Si. It seems this road is not marked in situ in latin script, but maps seem to show it as Soi Sala Sang Ka Si (or as Soi Sala Sangkasee).
*Walk / Ride North up this Soi Sala Sang Ka Si and soon pretty much everything turns to Thai Script. On the way you'll notice on your left a sign for Malibu Garden Resort (written as Graden) and soon also see the Market on that side. On the way, side streets on your 'right' that will be encountered, are in the following order. 'Soon Kanka 1/2' then 'Soon Kanka 2/2'. Ignore both of these and keep walking / riding north.
*Eventually, on your right, you'll reach the entrance to Soi Sala Sang Ka Si Soi '6' (Photos #2, 3.4 & 5). Entering this road to the East leads to the strip of local Bar Brothels (Photo #5). Walking, it took me about 5 minutes from Seree Pier to the entrance of Soi Sala Sang Ka Si Soi '6'.
During the day they appear to be nothing out of the ordinary, but what caught my eye during an evening hunt was that use of coloured wire lights visible down the dark road, something local Karaoke Joints enjoy using. All the Bars are named in Thai Script, lit up in coloured lighting and have a curtain over the door in most cases. Walking along the road, these places looked and felt promisingly seedy / covert.
Don't expect beer bar antics when passing these. Instead, it was rather like how a puppy may only bark when you get within a certain distance. Walking down the centre of the road, you probably won't be 'beckoned' in, but once you start walking towards a door all of a sudden they wake up and are welcoming like there is some invisible trip wire which sets off an alarm. On my first visit."Boom Boom, Sir?" was spoken by a girl in English. Mamasan's were always helpfull and had enough English to communicate the basics you need to arrange things.
During financial talk though, my smattering of Thai was used but it probably doesn't make much difference to the outcome unless your Thai is convincing enough to be seen as an Expat. All the Bars (clustered in a row, and one or two others situated down Nhong Bua Soi 1, heading south) were quite welcoming and didn't seem to mind that drinks were not ordered when just browsing girly options in each place.
Prices depended on the Girl, starting from B700 down to B300 (you could see why, for B300 though). Basically they are local watering holes with 4-5 Girls on offer in each, for 30 minute ST Boom Boom on site, seemingly fine with Falang customers. It reminded me slightly of the Sanur Houses in Bali, catering primarily to locals but flexible. Assuming by default at the time that quoted prices were likely to be double the local cost, there was a realistic (being Falang) counter by me of B300 to get things going. Infact I began discussion with B300 before even asking the prices, but they scoffed at that. Offers of B300 only got the munters in each place pointed out to me each time, and in all cases (no matter the individual starting quote) , B500 seemed to be the 'minimum'. On a later visit, a series of events led me to suspect locals pay B200 for our B500 visits. One quoted as B400 was worth a go, but I didn't get round to trying her on my three visits to the road.
Ban Phe was up until recently home to a TEFL school, and probably had a few long term Falang visits here from teaching staff? I base that on nothing but a guess, as the mamasans (and occasional local male drinkers) seemed reasonably comfortable and familiar with a Falang visit.
Or maybe they saw me as a novelty?
Looks wise, don't get me wrong you're not going to get pretty pretty pretty in these places for B500. Slim shapely bods that were better than the 'faces' attached seemed to be the way of things in these bars, but most were lighter skin that you would find in the average Falang Beer Bar and there were some quite big tits going on amongst the offerings, as the core clientelle are local Thai men who like that whole look more.
Generally the ages seemed to be early 20s, upwards to 30s. Visited this road three times. First time, good experience with a little cutie who was quite shy but did an ok job. Chose her and we walked from the main bar to a back room with a fan, decorated with posters of Thai pop stars (a sort of teenager's bedroom look) , better than a 'coffin room with grubby mattress' you'd expect. No English at all, but somehow you manage ok. During the session a bell briefly rang, probably one of those."Attention : You now have X number of minutes remaining" for the WG. Carried on, and not long after heard the bell ring again a couple of minutes after finishing, so my instinctive timing is impecible.
On her bed side she had a stock of 'issue' condoms. Her skill with BBBJ (initially she tried to put a condom on for that, but was stopped) was forgettable really, so it was soon onto FS (covered). Kept it short, simple and sweet (as she was). For B500 it was an interesting outing.
Visiting a second time, not so good. My visit was quite late in the evening (around 11:30pm) and may explain why none were exactly the life of the party when walking in. Looked at a passable girl in one of the places who responded poorly to me making eye contact, smiling and asking about her name while the mamasan was discussing with me, the Girl's response being a very "I'm unimpressed" expression which was a turn off and warning sign. Part of me (you known which) nearly chose her in a warped idea of 'teaching her a lesson' (LOL) for being snooty.
Ended up once more choosing the girl from my previous visit, but it was not as good the second time around at all due to how bored she seemed. Perhaps they are not used to 'repeat' visitors? Whatever the case, it was a perplexing second visit in how listless the atmosphere was.
Visiting the road a third and last time. Disastrous. Long story, but a girl negotiated with on the very first visit but not chosen on the night was picked for that third visit and is now in my hall of fame for being one of the most problematic working girls ever. Good body, but damn she managed to push my buttons like few people can. Had payment not been in advance (in advance seems to be the norm there) I would have walked within the first 5 minutes. Initial 'eccentricity' ended up showing up as infuriatingly awkward and mood wrecking from the start.
Anyway, for an alternative to falang bars, there you go.

Thanks for telling it like it is.Cheers. Because the info on Ban Phe was scarce, it probably does look like a lot of hassle when put up in four large slabs of text. Until finding those local Brothels towards the end, which were far more clear cut in what went on, it was a case of a few red herrings and general walking around when in Ban Phe before going to, or coming back from, Koh Samet. More than anything it could be information that fellas pausing in Ban Phe while on en-route to Koh Samet, or in Ban Phe overnight before taking the bus back to BKK could use to scoot off for a 'quickie' I guess. Overall I agree that there would be no reason to venture 'out' specifically to Ban Phe, unless there was action existing there hidden from view that was missed (possible). Due to the language barrier, it was less easy to find out from locals, unlike in Indonesia. My budget wasn't high, so B500 ST suited me and was closer to the sort of prices being paid in Bali.

The fun is in getting the experience. Going off the beaten path, regardless of what you find. You know, whatever doesn't kill me makes me stronger.
I wouldn't trade my adventures in Cambodia or Myanmar, good and bad, for all the go-gos in Pattaya.

Many times I've passed through Hat Yai and also over the Malaysian Border on visits over the years.
It happens to be situated in a troubled 'region', but it's not something evident to casual visitors.
Government travel advisories tend to portray the entire south as though it will be like Helmand province.
Nowhere can be guaranteed 100% safe, but it certainly doesn't feel like a "war zone" to be in Hat Yai.
Any action in Koh Phi Phi?
If you walk 200m inland up the road from the southern end of the beach strip at Ao Nang there is a row of about12 bars on the right side. Easy to miss if you are not looking hard enough. Not a huge number of girls but enough for a week's visit and some good quality ones at that. I much prefer the low profile scene at Krabi than the bawdiness of Phuket or, God-forbid, Pattaya.
Come on Krabi is not a mongering destination yet Ao Nang has 2 bar areas. Probably its better than Chiang Mai for bars!

TThe two / three bar areas are kind of out of the way of family destinations. I say kind of because they are actually near, but you have to make an effort to go there.

TThis probably should be in the Krabi forum since we are talking about Krabi.
I imagine the reason the P4P died down is simple lack of demand. Remember that Thailand is not all about sex tourism, there are lots of other things to do. Even in Patong, Phuket P4P has dwindled with the influx of families looking for a sun holiday.
There may still be some short-time / massage places in Krabitown. It's a good 20 minute ride by motorbike. Not really that great in my opinion.

Visited 5 places and the price varied between 300 and 400 baht for 1 hour oil or thai massage. Mostly girls in late 20's and thirties with a few cute ones. Decided to go to the first place I visited (300 baht) as one of the girls sitting outside was cute and was very smiley (while most of the others looked uninterested or sullen.
We went up to the 3rd floor and she changed (shorts, tshirt) for the oil massage. I haven't had many massages (and rather new at mongering) but I would say the massage was good, not too soft and not too hard and she had good technique, she spent maybe half time on my legs, back and front, and my back and arms. It depends what you need from a hotel!
I have used Thipurai Beach Hotel a couple of times. (http://www.thipurai.com/) It is a good, mid range hotel with excellent location and reasonable rooms. Some with balcony. No problems with bringing your "playmates" back.
I can not remember if there were safes in the room or if they charge for internet.
City Beach Resort (http://www.citybeachhuahin.com/) used to be quite OK but I have not stayed there for many years now.

My best choice would be Chalelarn Hotel in 53/1 Nahb Kaehat Road. Balcony, directly downtown, room safe, free wifi, roof top pool. What I'm concerned it cannot get any better for what I'm looking for.

At the bottom of every page, including the one this post appears on, in the lower right click on contact us. This will open a webpage with a form. For subject select "other" and then fill in the box with "problem using search function" or something similar. Then write your message in the dialog box labeled "report." Then click on "send." It is a BYO place on first glance.Sounds like you are at the Wangcome Hotel. Take a walk over to the Wiang Inn. There is a karoke bar in the basement open at night. When I was there they had 4 girls, a couple real lookers. I think it was 1500bht take out or rent a VIP room for a bit more. I stayed at that hotel and took one to my room. She spent the night and was happy with a 500bht tip.

Then try opening each search list link in another tab so as not to destroy the search results. Having logged off, you might find the links suddenly work again, however you needed to be logged on to do the thread search I think.

Repeating what I have said earlier perhaps: massage is available in three ways, thoroughly respectable, minimally respectable and totally un-respectable.
You need a 'nose' to differentiate between the respectable and other (if you ain't got that nose I can't help) but the respectable operate as if your body is in two parts even if they do not insist on underpants. Above the navel and below the knee. The less respectable (make suggestive remarks to the masseuse trying to get you in off the street) offer everything although the massage space may be curtained off (go early so there is a chance that the other curtained areas are empty). Then negotiate but everything is available at BJ, Baht 500 and FS at 1000. Totally un-respectable are bars which basically say "Come upstairs for boom boom!"

I should add that having picked one bar I was more than welcome by all the ladies the first two times but when it became obvious that I was not going to do take out the ladies generally ignored me. And, being a small place I suspect that, unless you do take out, other bars will know quickly.

Acouple of years ago I recall seeing a fishbowl opposite the River Kwai hotel on the main drag, I did not drop in as me and my mate grab a bird from the bars down the road.
Is this place still going, if so anyone know the price. I am heading that way with 3 mates who wan't to book twin rooms, so if it's going no probs, I will drop in and get my plumbing checked, if not I will book a single room for me and my mates can get a triple. Any ideas?

I been to places with the whole set, uniform, no private spaces, location among other business not massage. Conversation I have found is always business like except in real knock shops. I think it is very unusual not to find a place that does not do HJ's. Not trying to start an arguement, just passing on info of what I encounter.

My Trip To Chiang Rai, Pleasantly Surprised.
Last month a friend visited us in Chiang Mai from England and we decided to have a trip to Chiang Rai for a few days, in which I haven't visited for many years.
First we went on a one day organised tour. Cost 1000 baht each for the trip in an air conditioned mini bus, that included all the main tourist areas including right up to the Burmese border, the hill tribes, white temple, the black house, opium museum and the Golden triangle, with a nice lunch thrown in. It was great and well worth the money.
The night life and adult scene although only covering a very small area and mainly in the Jet Rod Road areas, hardly mentioned in the mongers guides, I found had a lot more on offer and far cheaper than any of the much larger adult entertainment areas in Chiang Mai.
Massage parlours: A standard oil massage in an average no frills massage parlour that are abundant in Chiang Rai was priced from 250 baht up to 300 baht per hour. But many of the girls were young lookers, totally the reverse to the old granny parlours of Chiang Mai and at least 90% of these girls were offering full sex. I was surprised because in most of the parlours I visited I did not even have to work at it, the girls made it quite clear that boom boom was on offer if I wanted it. Cost for a full 1 hour massage followed by some no hurried full sex totalled 1300 baht. 300 for the massage. 1000 for the sex. Tip: Take your own condoms, as some of the girls did not have any available and quite rightly they won`t perform without them.
Bars: There are a good many small open bars in the Jet Rod Road and surrounding areas. These appeared to have escaped all the clampdowns and restrictions that have fated Chiang Mai. Many of the bars are open right through the night, the girls were openly displaying their wares to all and sundry and most important, the majority are young lookers, nothing like the skank located in the Chiang Mai, Loi Kroh Road. A takeaway back to our hotel was 300 baht bar fine and 1000 baht for a couple of hours with the girl, maybe all night if she likes you. The lady drinks were a bit of a rip off, priced between 290 baht to 300 baht a shot. But after only buying 1 lady drink and some idle chat, the girls were quite willing to go with me, so that wasn't really a problem. I made the most of it and filled my boots at every opportunity.
Another good surprise were the numerous decent Farang food restaurants that seemed to have sprung up since my last visit years before, and again these were far cheaper and better value than the Western style restaurants of Chiang Mai.

I would recommend a trip to Chiang Rai, a town that although the adult entertainments are on a smaller scale, has much more and better quality for cheaper options on offer for the monger. A few weeks ago I had the honor to stay some time in Bangsaen, a beach resort town about half-way between Bangkok and Pattaya and close to Chonburi. Every week-end it gets flooded by people from Bangkok who spend a few days at the beach there. During the week the town gets very quiet. There is a big university here (Burapa University), with a nice aquarium, courtesy of the Faculty of Marine Sciences.
Very few farang ever visit this town, if I saw 5 farang in the two weeks I was there, I think I may even have double-counted some of them.
So it should come as no surprise that there is no real "farang" sex scene here. I'm sure there will be enough opportunities for Thai men, but it was not obvious to me where that is to be found. Local expats will certainly find enough opportunities among the students, but I did not stay long enough to explore that part and besides my GF studies at that university.
Still, I found one massage parlour on the road from the university to the beach. About 100 m from the beach on the left side of the road there is an unnamed MP, neighboring the "Cool Bar".
I had a nice oil massage in one of the upstairs rooms by a Thai woman of (I estimate) about 40 year old, but still very nice.
I got a good massage with happy ending and BBBJ with CIM and I am sure FS was available as well. We did not negotiate a price beforehand and I gave her 1500 baht (massage included) which she happily accepted. Afterwards she gave me a free drink from "Cool Bar".

The hotel I stayed (Diamond Hotel, at the Northern end of beach road) did not object to my GF visiting me and staying the night. I guess you can call it "guest friendly". Rooms were large enough but rather basic and cost me 900 baht / night. It is one of the few hotels in that category that has its own swimming pool.
My only Thai experience was on End-December I Rawai.
I was in Thailand with my wife (like bringing your own sandwich to a fancy resaturant).
We stayed at the TraveSea hotel on the main Rawai road.
After a full-day boat trip to some Islands we came back to the hotel, my wife was tired and with headaches so she went to sleep.
I went down to the bar across the road to buy cigarettes and I couldn't ignore that the bar looked as one with working girls.
I went back to the room, told my wife I'm going down for a beer and to watch a soccer game (I rarely watch soccer).

My Trip To Chiang Rai, Pleasantly Surprised.
Last month a friend visited us in Chiang Mai from England and we decided to have a trip to Chiang Rai for a few days, in which I haven't visited for many years.
First we went on a one day organised tour. Cost 1000 baht each for the trip in an air conditioned mini bus, that included all the main tourist areas including right up to the Burmese border, the hill tribes, white temple, the black house, opium museum and the Golden triangle, with a nice lunch thrown in. It was great and well worth the money.
The night life and adult scene although only covering a very small area and mainly in the Jet Rod Road areas, hardly mentioned in the mongers guides, I found had a lot more on offer and far cheaper than any of the much larger adult entertainment areas in Chiang Mai.
Massage parlours: A standard oil massage in an average no frills massage parlour that are abundant in Chiang Rai was priced from 250 baht up to 300 baht per hour. But many of the girls were young lookers, totally the reverse to the old granny parlours of Chiang Mai and at least 90% of these girls were offering full sex. I was surprised because in most of the parlours I visited I did not even have to work at it, the girls made it quite clear that boom boom was on offer if I wanted it. Cost for a full 1 hour massage followed by some no hurried full sex totalled 1300 baht. 300 for the massage. 1000 for the sex. Tip: Take your own condoms, as some of the girls did not have any available and quite rightly they won`t perform without them.
Bars: There are a good many small open bars in the Jet Rod Road and surrounding areas. These appeared to have escaped all the clampdowns and restrictions that have fated Chiang Mai. Many of the bars are open right through the night, the girls were openly displaying their wares to all and sundry and most important, the majority are young lookers, nothing like the skank located in the Chiang Mai, Loi Kroh Road. A takeaway back to our hotel was 300 baht bar fine and 1000 baht for a couple of hours with the girl, maybe all night if she likes you. The lady drinks were a bit of a rip off, priced between 290 baht to 300 baht a shot. But after only buying 1 lady drink and some idle chat, the girls were quite willing to go with me, so that wasn't really a problem. I made the most of it and filled my boots at every opportunity.
Another good surprise were the numerous decent Farang food restaurants that seemed to have sprung up since my last visit years before, and again these were far cheaper and better value than the Western style restaurants of Chiang Mai.

Made a trip to Roi Et yesterday, where the hell is that you ask, you will need a map. Been told that the Mai Tai hotel is the place, so went there around 6 pm. Massage joint with a small fish bowl. 1400 regular girl 1700 side line. Not much of a choice but you have to consider the location. I agree with *****man on this one. I was there a while back and I felt the quality in the MPs was generally pretty shocking and full of old hags. I've been there before and there are a few beer bars on Soi Bamboo with girls in the evening. I stayed at the Aonang Beach Resort and brought girls back with no questions but the place was rundown and am looking for something nicer as I will be there in February.

I would not be too worried of Thai hotels not being GF. Provided you book a room for two, I have never had a problem with bringing a GF. If you want to make sure there will be no problems, just email the hotel and ask what is their joiner-policy and whether they will charge a joiner fee.

Its quite far from the Ao Nang market (and the market doesn't' have more than 3 bars). At least that's what I saw (may be Krabi Town has more). Decent rates can be found at times.

I am in Hua Hin right now.It is a nice little town. There are plenty of massage parlours here. I have a feeling that very few of them offer full service. My theory is that the ones that do is in the area around Hilton, because it is there most of the girls bars are. I did hear one guy go at it in the cubicle next to me so I'm sure most of the ladies are up for it, but they're all very average looking so I wouldn't bother.
There are a few bars with average looking ladies. I've seen one or two who I'd call good lookers but nothing worth a 300 baht lady drink (wtf!). A tuk-tuk driver offered to take me to 'boom boom lady' so I'm sure there's more out there but not in Jet Rod Road, which is mainly a backpacker area.I've heard a mix of positive and negative reviews on Chiang Mai so Ill throw my two cents. I've been here for a few days and the report above is pretty much what happened to me as well.
There are 'impressions' and not a final review since I want to tackle this place a bit more. I did the same Khon Kaen and concluded that Khon Kaen sucks.
Overall setup: As others have stated. The general setup is at Jet Yod that is filled with mini bars that usually have one or two girls on average. There was another one that had more but they were overweight ladies in their mid 40's along with bad faces.
The area has a few massage places but I'd say 75% of the lookers were mid 30's and many of them fat. A few young cuties here and there but too rail thin for my taste. I do like athletic bodies.
I tried two massage places with no talks of sex or anything afterwards. One place I had a massage from a semi-cute mid 30's Burma girl. We went up stairs on those inflatable mattresses that had hollow walls where you can hear the person next door. She did slightly 'brush' up against the happy area but nothing serious. One time when I flipped and the private jewels weren't really covered with the towel. When it was rising. She smirked and put the towel to cover it up.
Sigh. Anyhow, during our session, she kept asking questions saying that I must have so many girlfriends in Thailand, and that she wants to take me out to see a movie the next day (which is coming up tomorrow). If I am married, have kids, that she really likes me. SIGH again.
No talk of sex or hints after massage. She drops me off my place after her work at 2 AM which was nice of her. And then. I invite to come inside but she said that she wants to go home, sleep, and take me out tomorrow. I kept insisting to come inside. She said OK. She will. But that she won't DO anything. I told myself. Fuck it. Just let her go. And that I did.
I will say this. The massage she gave me was great. I mean, she was the first massage that I ever had that is in a sex tourist area that was real. She was a real massage lady.
The previous massage was the same as above. Except the girl was interesting in going out with me. Very good massage. But no offers of sex or anything or even a hand job.
Small Bars: As I said earlier, these bars have two girls on average. Sometimes one. Sometimes 3 or 4. One girl motioned me to come over and I did. She had great legs. I knew she liked me on one hand but we didn't click. She was the type that was used to some guy carrying the conversation, making some dumb jokes. Etc. But I was sleepy, not a social guy. So there was too much awkward silence with uncomfortable tension. I knew where this was going. Take two people with social anxiety in the same room and you have a disaster. And that's what happened.
Oh, and I did try to socialize with her.
She sat across from me, I sat across from her. And it was weird. She broke it off as she was eyeing on two younger Aussie guys who where there for awhile playing pool. Even though I could she did like me, she had these MMA fighter types that she was eyeing on as her other target. It felt like a bad date or bar pickup back home in the US.
Conclusion of Impression: In jest, I hate places that you have to do a lot of leg work to find a girl. I've tried that in Bangkok and managed to get girls for free or dirt cheap once and awhile. But its work and not guaranteed.
Chiang Rai feels like that. There are over a dozen or so of these mini bars. But the fact that there are only a girl or two really limits your selection. And I like to be smart with whatever I get. I don't like to jump in and start buying some girl that may have a cute face but a pot belly because she is sitting down hunched in bad lighting. Also there is no guarantee they will leave with you. I don't know 100% for sure, but that's what it feels like. You could buy a girl a half dozen shots of watered down crap and she may not go with you for logistical reasons (your place is. 5 km too far for her). Or she is not horny and feels satisfied since she made her quota after buying drinks. Or she is simply not eager to go with you.
This is why I like soapys, guaranteed FS with menu at Massage places, and gogo bars. Not 100% guarantee. But 96% or higher (I've only been rejected once in Pattaya and once in Khon Kaen. Though Khon Kaen wasn't a true gogo bar. It was a coyote place where the custom is more or less to buy girls drinks without really taking them home for the night).
Chiang Rai is this kind of place. Nothing is clear cut, the selection is too low just by virtue of numbers. I could see how a few others had a good experience here. I really do. That's why I want to hit the area harder tomorrow. Also the massage lady wants to go on a 'date' but I might just pass. I could see it coming. We go see movie, have dinner. She wants to get a bit more serious. And withholds sex. Argghh. I hate giving off relationship vibes.
Overall. Chaing Rai is disappointing. I'm giving it 3 more days. Also will be staying in Chiang mai for several weeks and will report. So Chiang Mai is actually worse than Chiang Rai? I don't believe it. But it wouldn't surprise me.
After Khon Kaen and Chiang Rai. I may have to go to Angeles. Thank goodness for that place, THE best place in the world and heads above anywhere else. Too bad its a shit city that gets tiring after two weeks.
There are NO gogo bars that I spotted which I really like since you can see the girls body better. The advantage of a gogo bar is that you can spot a cutie with a nice face but could have a flat ass with a pot belly and avoid the hassle of paying for a dud.

Never been before, looking for mid ranged hotel, possibly close to beach and girl friendly. Also with fairly easy access to bars.There is no beach in Krabi. Take the bathbus to Aonang. Veranda hotel is 150 m from the bars and 700 m from the beach. GF hotel, but book double room.

For the board member who planned to go to Ao Nang in Krabi Province. I have been there and can fill you in on things a bit.
There IS action there though the scene is small. The main drag curves around from Noparattara (sp?) beach (almost all Thai) to the other end of town. McDonald's / Starbucks is about the center point and there are numerous shops headed toward the beach and around the curve, along with restaurants and shops selling usual kitsch. There is also good street food and another strip of restaurants as you are at the curve--esp. To your left. Many of these venues have live music and there are many foreign tourists.
Hotels tend to be expensive resorts in the 8000 Baht per night range. I booked my hotel off of Agoda for $39 a night. It was almost directly across the street from McDonald's. There were also many European guys who come to Ao Nang each year and rent Bungalows, which I believe can be had for Baht 8000 per month, a great deal. Most also rent motorcycles, which are around Baht 5000 a month and I did not hear of any scams involving bike rental such as I've heard about in Phuket. One caveat about hotels is that I have heard they are almost completely booked up in high season. I went there in March, flying from Bangkok to Krabi. There is a bus that goes to all the hotels in Ao Nang and at the time I went there (in 2012) it cost Baht 150, a lot cheaper than a taxi which would cost at least Baht 500-1000.
Ao Nang basically has 3 bar scenes which I know of. The first one is on a small road to the left of McDonald's and across the street from McDonald's and Starbucks but about 4 blocks to the left (I do not know what direction this is--sorry). Most of the bars are dead along this road but I found one good one with a variety of girls and a pool table and good atmosphere. I cannot remember its name but it is owned by a mother and son and is a good place to hang out.
Going down the main drag back toward McDonald's and past it (on same side of street as the other road), there is a sort of gulch similar to the one in the middle of Loy Kroh Road in Chiang Mai. There are a number of beer bars here. I did not fine a girl from this area so do not know barfines and prices. The bar fine at the small, friendly bar I first mentioned was Baht 500 and the girl asked for Baht 2000. The "gulch" area has its fair share of ladyboys so beware unless they are to your taste. About 7:00 PM a couple of girls came and set up shop at the tables on the bar's balcony. Both were overweight and unappealing and I left the bar to explore the other bars downstairs. These bars were rumored to have action but I saw mainly expats in them. There are some single female travelers there and many hot Russian women, if that is your thing.
Reportedly, freelancers who aren't barfined hang out after midnight in front of McDonald's. I never saw any but I met a woman my first day while on a walk, a hairdresser with great fake boobs and in her 40's but well-preserved. I spent most of my days with her excepting the 4-5 times I kicked her out of my hotel because she was drunk and belligerent--also an Ubon girl as were all her friends.
Also, I have read reports that the massage women along the beach will hook you up with ladies. There are a number of open air massage places along the beach walking toward the karst formations in the water (turn left at the curve instead of following it around). Some of the massage ladies are cute young girls who might be available for motel rendezvous at a later time. Some are older Thai women that I heard will set you up or try to set you up with a girl. I cannot verify this but it is worth trying if you visit.
In general, Ao Nang is a fun place. It is not Pattaya or Bangkok and the action is similar to what you might find in Hua Hin, for example. Still, there is action to be had and obviously a possibility of meeting local girls, as I did. The town has many good restaurants with tasty food at reasonable prices. It also offers good live music. You can get a taxi to Krabi if you want to see the sites there, such as they are. Krabi did not impress me as much of a town.
Ao Nang is laid back, a bit insular, but one can have a good time there if one follows the usual formula and comes across as fun and cheerful and respectful. It helps to know a bit of Thai, but this is not absolutely necessary as almost everyone I met spoke English except my hotel owner who was a Thai Muslim and spoke very little English.
Regarding the Muslims--the town has its fair share and many are street food vendors. There were bombings in Hat Yai while I was in Ao Nang but the local Muslims seem quite affable and are widely accepted in the town. Any fears of insurgency or uprisings are groundless.
Re: The Beaches--the beaches are beautiful with the karst formations but they are nothing special so don't go if you require a pristine white-sand beach along the lines of Boracay in Philippines. The beaches have a mild surf and are pretty heavily populated by both tourists and Thai, either locals or also tourists. Island hopping to Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phanagan, etc. Is quite doable and there are a number of travel agencies in town offering small boat transport. I cannot remember the prices but I believe they were quite high. Any place where the average resort costs about 8000 Baht per night is not going to be the cheapest place. However, Ao Nang is a lot less pricey and pretentious than Phuket. It would be a good place to take a companion and is a place you can meet one, as well. If you go, I hope you enjoy it.

I know Khao Lak is nothing like Phuket or Pattaya, but is there any P4P action there at all? Turned out she hadn't had sex for quite a long time, she was quite appreciative and it was a good session. Any way when I got back to town a couple weeks later I called her again. Deuan wasn't in town but she said she would send her friend.
Joy also not beautiful but more so cute, came by on an out call to a room I took near her hotel. She really had a great body, not an ounce of fat and little perfectly shaped tea cup teats. Recent visit revealed the sois barely operating due to yet another police crackdown. One unique feature this time being that while 1-2 houses (with a total of just 4 girls) in Soi Sow Fie Dang would take farang, it was clear that several others (the better ones) were secretly somewhat open - that is, though the doors were shut tight, there were pimp-men in front and girls could be glimpsed through the window - but simply would not take farang.
In Soi 2 things seemed completely shut down - particularly the 'nice' house was clearly so, as one could see through the door that the area where the girls normally sit was full of parked motorbikes. However I do believe there was some residual activity at other houses in the soi, as there were young pimps hanging around, a noodle seller doing business in the darkened side soi (a sure sign - who were the customers if it was really a 100% shutdown?), and the usual tuk-tuk or two sitting at the end of the soi. What was new was that the young pimps were quite unfriendly, and farang were not accommodated.
We finally found girls in Soi 7, with the usual lack of choice - only three girls brought by motorbike for three customers. They were cute enough though, and about 20 years old, for 800 including the room, or the same price for taking back to one's own hotel for short time. Service was poor as always in the upcountry.
I've heard from Thai and foreign friends that the sois were open between two and three months ago, so this crackdown may be rather new. I hope someone may report if they find them reopened, as I would like to return.

I stayed in this area last year. Alas it was a sort of 'professional' gathering so I couldn't do anything enjoyable, so all I can report is I did notice a very few bars here and there along the highway (maybe 2-3?), nearer to the little town there. I forget the name, but its the one with the McDonalds. One can only hope there might be a few hostesses or freelancers of a sort in those bars. Good luck and please report. Given the priceyness of the general area I expect service, in the unlikely event you do find it, will cost quite a bit.

Walking distance from the tourist district. IIRC Girl prices are same as tourist district, but drinks (both customer and lady), bar fines and the ST room upstairs are cheaper. I have a GF so I don't keep abreast of the details. Check huahinforum.com.
Places to see or do? Not much. Don't bother with the so called floating market, anything with elephants that isn't the Hutsadin Foundation (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g297922-d2038063-Reviews-Hutsadin_Elephant_Foundation-Hua_Hin_Prachuap_Khiri_Khan_Province.html) or anything between Cha-am and Hua Hin EXCEPT the long established animal rescue (http://www.wfft.org/about-wfft/) and the former King's palace if either appeals. There are 2 water parks, 1 crappy go cart track (brakes often lock up one wheel, some have throttles like on-off switches and the fastest parts of the course have the roughest surface) which, because of those drawbacks, pumps up the adrenaline if one tests the limits of their driving skill.

Does anyone know of any local Thai brothels in Hua Hin, or the surrounding area? I'm also interested in streetwalkers, but would prefer to get away from the tourist areas and prices (soi Bintabaht). I used to have a lot of luck around China Town, in Bangkok when I stayed there and would like to find some more cheap action. We are talking 400 - 500 bht short time. Not interested in massages, just cheap sex. I'm willing to travel a little bit outside Hua Hin to find some good, local, budget action.

Thanks, but I've had a good look on the internet already. All the info I've come across relates to Soi Bintabaht and Soi 80. I want local knowledge about the non-tourist spots.
Although I have visited Thailand before, my first trip to Hua Hin and Cha Am will be in April. I have been finding information right on youtube and just by google searching adult night life in Hua Hin.

I think they will have moved on by now. Local non-tourist orientated lady entertainment in straight-up brothels should be about 500 bht by today's prices.

I am visiting Kanchanaburi for a few days as I am currently renting an apartment in Bangkok and decided to take a break form the chaos of Bangkok. It's about a two hour journey by bus from Thonburi bus station in Bangkok or one can also take the train from the Thonburi station. It's the location of the bridge on the River Kwai and POW camp made famous by the movie and book. Also, here are wild life preserves, kayaking on the river, and various jungle hikes. I found the weather cooler than in Bangkok and a very laid back pleasant town. As I decided to take a Thai girl from Bangkok, it lessened my mongering opps but I did have an opportunity to explore the nightlife in Kanchanaburi last night as my girl opted to stay in room.
There are about six bars in a row in the main area of the street where the road curves towards the main boulevard. There were several women beckoning me to come in for a drink. However, I was told that most locals avoid these places. There are also scattered bars and restaurants on both sides of this street, which directly parallels the river Kwai amd leads to the bridge that crosses the river. A couple of girls enticed me to come in to one of these bars and I engaged a girl from Isaan in a 15 minute chat. To cut to the chase, she said that she would come to my room for 2 hours and I could have sex with her as much as I like in that time. Up to you! The cost was a 300 bhat bar fine, 1000 bhat tip to her so the total cost was more or less $40 USD. Since I already had company in my room (I will write a separate story on that), I would have to get a short term room, which would run me another 500 baht.
I gave it some serious thought until she did not respond in the positive about kissing and other aspects of our potential two hour.

Spent a couple of days in Khao Lak lately in checked out the local scene. I guess you can call it a "micro scene" that is both small and keeps a low profile. Officials want to maintain the reputation of a family travel destination and won't allow much of a scene to develop.
Thanks to the previous reports here, I started my journey with a visit to Violet Bar. The place was literally empty when I arrived around 10 pm, only around 11 a few guys showed up but mostly had a good time teasing the girls and left empty handed. None of the girls interested me, I would rate most of the girls (total 8) around 4-6, one 7.

Just returned from a trip to Danok in Sadao and Betong in Yala. Both are border towns catering for Malaysian sex tourists. For Danok report see the Danok thread of Thailand forum.
I got to Betong from Danok via Malaysia. It took quite reasonable 3. 5 h by taxi and buses. Betong enjoys a relatively cool mountain climate and there are nice views from many high-rise hotels. I stayed at the Mandarin Grand, which is apparently the best hotel in town. The town is small and one can walk to most places of interest. The hotel is geared to ethnic Chinese from Malaysia but unlike Danok many Malaysian tourists in Betong are of Indian descent. They probably are less affluent than Chinese because all agogos and karaokes in Betong are staffed only by Thai ladies, available at lower prices than Chinese girls in Danok.
There are several karaoke bars and nightclubs with striptease shows along the street where the hotel is located, especially towards the Merlin hotel. The next parallel street also has a few massage shops, staffed by older ladies.
The main area of nightlife is in the southern part of town, around the Grand View hotel. To get there from the Mandarin hotel you can either take a tuk-tuk for 20 baht or just walk through the tunnel that connects these two parts of town. A walk takes about 10 min. I don't know prices on strip performers in clubs but most ladies in karaokes ask for 2500-3000 baht for long time. Their quality is quite low and in Pattaya they would never get more than 2000 B. While some of them usually sit in front of their establishments, some hide inside and often a papasan invites passing potential customers inside the shop and then calls all the girls for a line up. However, I noticed that the most attractive girls usually are the ones sitting in front so there is no advantage in actually asking for such a lineup.
The Madarin hotel bell boy pestered me with offers of 'beautiful' girls whenever I passed him in the lobby. Eventually I decided to try his contacts and asked him to organize me one. I gave him the exact parameters like height, skin color, etc. Of a girl I wanted. 30 min later he brought several rather ugly specimens totally disregarding my requirements. I sent them all away but half hour later another bunch was brought to my room for inspection. The same low quality. Later in the evening I noticed two white-skinned slim beauties with what looked like a mamasan walking out from the hotel. I pointed them to the bell boy and asked him to get me something of that standard. He promised to do that but later on brought again some uglies to my room assuring me that they were 'beautiful'. During my stay in Betong I did not see a single other Western tourist. I guess we are not really welcome there.
Food sucks in Betong as, just like in Danok, most restaurants serve only Chinese food. I managed to find one small air-conditioned steak restaurant near the Betong Plaza shopping arcade which served reasonable quality semi-Western food.
To get back to the nearest civilized town with an airport in Thailand I took a 2. 5 h taxi ride from Betong to Yala, and then another 2. 5 h ride by van to Hat Yai. Did not see any Western tourists.
Until Hat Yai. The drive to Yala is very scenic and goes through the mountains with limestone cliffs and along a long lake. Airconditioned taxi from Betong to Yala was 1500 B. The second leg of the trip by van cost only 100 B.
My Thai mobile SIM card did not work in Betong. At first I thought it was a problem with my phone but was told later that due to the security situation there with all the Islamic insurgency only locally registered mobile numbers were allowed connection.
A soon as I got to Hat Yai my phone started working again.

In response to several inquiries from a few weeks back:
Chiang Rai has a soapy massage at the very nice Wiang Inn Hotel. If you are facing the hotel, walk down the right side towards the back of the hotel. You'll see neon lights and the massage parlor. Some times cuties, some times not. A while back I had an absolute doll who pretty much forced me to do anal on her pretty behind.
Kanchanaburi: the action is light other than the silly "Hello Handsome man" bar scene on the tourist strip previously mentioned. But I found two fun places. First, get yourself to the River Kwai Hotel on the big road into town from Bangkok. On the left of the fishbowl they commanded 3,000 B, and 3,500 B on the right. Incredibly expensive for a small cowtown like Kanchanaburi, right? NO! The girls were gorgeous! I happened to choose Miss Thailand (I'm joking, but she would easily meet the bar), her name was Noi. (None of these girls wears a number.) Her face was stunning, her figure shockingly perfect in all ways, she enjoys sex as much as I do, and she doesn't speak more than ten words of English. She was easily the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen in the business in Thailand. I will always see her on my return to Kanchanaburi.
Across the street from River Paradise and backtracking maybe 100 yards as you head back towards where your hotel probably is located (the tourist ghetto), you'll find an older hotel with "Thai Massage" written on the side of the building. There were about five nice-looking girls to choose from. Mine was lots of fun, and her price was reasonable. The place had a pleasant, somewhat sleazy feel to it.

I was in Chiang Rai in Aug-Sep last year. The night clubs Sperm and Par Club on Ratanaket Rd, widely described in many previous reports on the internet, are now closed. A bit futher down the same road, just before the drive entrance to the Central Plaza shopping centre, a club / disco Sugar Beat (also Sugar House) is open every night from 10 pm. Local taxi drivers pronouce its name as 'sukhabit'. A signboard on the building promises 'supermodels' and 'coyotes'. About 10 coyotes they do have dancing but the girls are no models by a long stretch. Good looking and not fat they are rather short though. Beer costs 110 be. No idea how much the girls are but a taxi driver told me this is considered the club now in the city with the most beautiful girls.
Love motels in the same area seem to have usually a few girls available for hire on the premises. The best of them, the Red Rose Hotel, had about 5 when I went there. Girls were not young and very average in look.
Went to the coyote Thai style establishment in Sonambin Rd opposite the La Luna hotel, not far from the old airport runway. Girls there, about 5 of them, were better and younger than in the motels, but also short.
A new nightclub, named you-turn, has opened on the main road to the airport across the river a few km from the city centre. Don't' bother going there, it's very small, and locals told me it was not interesting.
The Face Bar / Disco at the SaenPhu Hotel, a few min walk from the clock tower down Baanprakarn Rd has nothing to offer to mongers. Teenage clientele, mostly groups, sitting at tables with a band playing. No dancing. There is also a karaoke in the basement of the hotel but when I went there it was empty except for one bored fat girl at the entrance busy playing with her phone.
The massage parlour at the Wiang Inn, near the Wangcome hotel, has about 10 girls in it, all old and ugly.
The massage parlour at the Little Duck hotel, which is about 700 m down the main highway from the Central Plaza, has similar low quality ladies.
There is no massage special service at the Dusit Island Hotel, in case you've read that there is.
The only area worth hunting in for quality is around the Wangcome Hotel in Jetyod Road, especially a strip of massage shops on the left if you face the main hotel entrance.
I walked passed them and on several occasions some of them had very good looking, fair-skinned, and young girls there waiting for customers. The good looking ones don't pay attention to passerbys, only less attractive women try to entice you into the shops for massage. However, from talking to mamasans most of these girls are also available to join you at your hotel. Most but not all. Ask mamasan about a girl you are interested in if she can 'boom-boom' and she will tell you. Don't expect much English language skills from them though. Price was 2000 be.
There are also a few small typical farang beer bars usually with a few hostesses round the hotel too. The girls were average in look and short.
Actually all Chiang Rai girls working as entertainers that I've seen were short. So don't come here if looking for a taller type.
The strip of agogos that was mentioned in older reports in a small lane off Jetyod Rd near the corner with Baanprakarn Rd, also near the Wangcome hotel, was shut down. Apparently due to lack of customers I was told. I was also told that there were no more Burmese girls or Akha tribe girls working there. I guess life in Maynmar is better now.

Yeah, Jet Yod is silly, I've taken out a few beauties from the massage parlors near Wiang Come Hotel, and passed on all the ladies on my last visit to the Wiang Inn shower massage, but will check in there as well, as things change.

At the lowest end, there are a few (I counted about 10) streetwalkers in the blocks south of Naresuan Road (not on the road itself). That's the big road heading west from the train station. Very poor quality, didn't partake, but saw a few ladyboys and some girls ( 10 total) late in the evening, after 10 pm. Got propositioned and quoted 500 baht.
There are several low-end Thai venues around what Google Maps says is Soi Khun Phirenthonrathep 1, roughly this area: http://goo.gl/p8PLXl.
Around 5-6 venues (easy to access, brothels, not only karaokes) plus a few possible freelancers. The places quoted me 600 baht, then revised it up to 700 to account for the commission to the tuktuk. Typical Thai service level, not much to write home about.
There are also 2 large-ish naughty massage places across the train tracks, 1500 baht range. Not sure of the exact location. The tuktuk mentioned these, but I decided on the more low-end scene instead.

Not an expert on the north, but if you (or anyone else) cares for the local scene in Samut Sakhon or Phitsanulok, I'll write a brief report.I love to poke around by bus, boat or songthaew in Northern Thailand, bouncing from one small town or city to the next. I'll tell you what I've come across in the last couple of years, although the locations will be vague, as I wasn't noting details for others to re-trace, knowing that I could easily find these places again myself.
Thaton: (Several visits, most recently 2 years ago.) Gorgeous small town of about 1,000 residents. If you are facing the bus station (which is really just an empty lot), go maybe 50 meters to your right and look for the Thai Massage sign. It's pleasantly sleazy, the ladies go out. I recall some cute Akha girls. From Thaton, you can take a boat to Chiang Rai or a songthaew to Mae Salong.
Mai Sai: (3 visits, most recently 1 1/2 years ago.) If you face the immigration office where you cross into Burma, walk into the neighborhood to the right. You'll see some brothels. Really obvious and easy to find at night. I couldn't find a dirty massage shop, which I strongly prefer over brothels, for the life of me. Can anyone help me here?
Chiang Saen: (2 visits, most recently 3 years ago.) Pretty, small town on the Mekong. If you are just south (downstream) of the bus station side street, on the west side of the main road next to the river, you'll see a massage sign. It's really just a brothel. I recall a number of cute girls, probably all Lao but who knows. There are some other massage shops in the Old City area, they looked like my kind of places but I didn't partake, as the place I just mentioned kept me busy.
Chiang Khong: I was there about six months ago. Great town on the Mekong. Most visitors are backpacker types heading into Laos, but I very much enjoyed three days there. I recall "lady go out?" from a massage shop, a real cutie. There are a number of massage shops right on the river road. It's a really sweet town of about 10,000 residents.
Mae Hong Son: I found a "lady go out?" massage shop west of the lake area, down the hill and on the left. Cute girl, cheap. Not a lot of our kind of action that I could find. Nice town.
Mae Sariang: Some weird bars, sleazy but hard to figure out, right next to the bus station. It's a cute town of about 3,000 residents, I think. I don't recall meeting a single person who spoke any English. I don't speak Thai, but whatever, I like the town, although it's hard to get in and out of if you don't have a car.
Phayao: cute town with a pretty lake. Unfortunately, I found nothing but Aunties in the few massage shops.
Phrae: I met up with a temporary girlfriend, so no comment. Town is pretty dull.
Nan: there are a bunch of massage joints just up the street from the Sukkasem Hotel (which is good value.) The massage place I chose is really just a brothel. I suspect all the rest are also. There must be at least five or six of them, on the same side of the street and very near to each other. Look for the Christmas lights after dark.
Lampang: I kind of like this town. If you're in the hotel area facing the river, go to your left along the river road and you'll find massage joints.
I have enjoyed my stays in all of these small towns, and will likely return to every place I named. Most see few farang, and some hardly any. So if any of you readers can elaborate on this post, I'd appreciate it. And who can tell me where I can enjoy myself in Mae Salong? It's a great little town, but I found nothing there in terms of ladies in my three visits. I'll still return for the tea.
I visited Ko Samet from Pattaya as it is about an hour away via minibus and ferry. Not much going on here but pleasant, albeit, small island.
There are a few small bars on Main Street. One is called Old Amsterdam and the other is the Island Bar. There were a handful of bar girls there both nights I assume are available but did not enquire.
The late night disco scene was dead at least midweek but perhaps it's more active on the weekend.
Now in Ko Chang, which is three hour minibus south from Ko Samet. It is Thai 2nd largest island so many different areas and beaches to stay but difficult to travel between these areas. Decided to stay on White Sand Beach. On Main Street there is an area of bars referred to as Little Pattaya. When I walked by last night, I heard the girls cackling at me and a few came out of bars
to try to wrangle me inside but frankly talent appeared very low. A few could scare a dog off a meat wagon.
Shortly past 2 am, I could not sleep and decided to take a walk on beach. The few bars on beach were closed by now so nothing going on but after several minutes walking, I notice 5 people sitting on beach in darkness. A girl in sun dress gets up and comes to me me asks where am I going? I say taking a walk. She says I go with you for free and kisses me on cheek. She appears in darkness to be very pretty and nice figure. But alarm bells going off as it is never this easy. She spoke good English and appeared more Slavic in accent and looks though it's quite dark. I ask her where she is from and she says Southern Thailand. Having spent the last 3 months in HH I've sampled many of the parlours in the area north of Bintabahn and Poonsuk Rd. If they have girls sitting around inviting you in for massage you're pretty well guaranteed extras. Generally the girls in HH are mainly in their 30's to 40's. In most establishments if you treat the girls well you will get full sex for 1000 bht. Basically once you have DATY they're more than ready for it despite asking for 1300 & being told I only have 1000. I love to poke around by bus, boat or songthaew in Northern Thailand, bouncing from one small town or city to the next. I'll tell you what I've come across in the last couple of years, although the locations will be vague, as I wasn't noting details for others to re-trace, knowing that I could easily find these places again myself.
Thaton: (Several visits, most recently 2 years ago.) Gorgeous small town of about 1,000 residents. If you are facing the bus station (which is really just an empty lot), go maybe 50 meters to your right and look for the Thai Massage sign. It's pleasantly sleazy, the ladies go out. I recall some cute Akha girls. From Thaton, you can take a boat to Chiang Rai or a songthaew to Mae Salong.
Mai Sai: (3 visits, most recently 1 1/2 years ago.) If you face the immigration office where you cross into Burma, walk into the neighborhood to the right. You'll see some brothels. Really obvious and easy to find at night. I couldn't find a dirty massage shop, which I strongly prefer over brothels, for the life of me. Can anyone help me here?
Chiang Saen: (2 visits, most recently 3 years ago.) Pretty, small town on the Mekong. If you are just south (downstream) of the bus station side street, on the west side of the main road next to the river, you'll see a massage sign. It's really just a brothel. Been having a great time in Hua Hin, maybe my best trip yet. Staying at the Thipurai City Hotel and love the service. Rooms are big and clean, the pool on the 5th floor is small but pristine with a great view of the mountain at sunset. The facilities were kind of primitive, and the massage was a bit perfunctory, with the lady asking me about 15 minutes in if I wanted boom-boom for 1500 baht. Thinking only of my readers I accepted in the interest of reviewing Chiangmai Rai as a sex destination. Most of the little bars and pubs along the road in both directions have freelancers. Take a right on Jetyod and you'll find a small road to the right that cuts the corner to the main road with the clock tower. All of the bars there are either gogos or have girls available. Also, the wiang Inn has a karoke with private rooms available or take out. I stayed at the Wiang and was quoted 1500 baht for long time.
There is plenty of action in CR but it is subtle and not as in your face as other, more well known mongering towns.

In a few weeks I will go to Chiang Rai. I have a nice TF lady lined up, but during the week she has to work and I will then only see her in the evenings / nights.

I just got back from a few days in Ranong. I'd RTFF and while I saw promising leads, there was nothing solid. Here's a quick assembly of the info I'd seen.
There is a brothel in Ranong which is supposed to host about 70 girls. Drive towards the Sapanpla Pier, the road is called Sapanpla road. On the right hand side you will see a building supplies store called "home mart". Just right of that home mart there is a soi going off the Sapanpla road. Follow that soi and turn right at the third intersection. After about 20 meters on the left side you see a building with 2 stone tables in front, that's the brothel. No lights, no other open to see signals. About 10 meters left of those stone tables there is a little walkway into that building, go in there and at the end turn right. There you will see the mamasan.
There are several piers in town or nearby, the one of concerne for a monger is called Sapanpla pier. When you drive down there coming from Ranong the road turns into a oneway road at the end. Right there turn left, the first right and again second left, then always straight ahead. After about 1 km you come to a cluster of shops and bars, about 5 of them host girls. If you go on for another 1 km you come to another cluster of bars with girls. The girls are all Burmese and are around 18-24.
Locally it's referred to as "Soi 3".
I can only attempt to add a little to that. A main soi running north to south that connects the central city area with the working area is called Saphan Pla..
Ah ah ah! Soi 3 they are plenty in ranong, and you will find nothing. Simply because this place is know as soi 3 but it s not located in soi 3. It seem you never been there.Once I arrived my primary goal was to find the the Thai brothel that the first quote mentions. First obstacle was that the info was out of date. "Sapan Pla" road was no longer named that. It's now Chalermprakiat Road. Highlighted in red in the images below. "Home Mart" has also moved. I set out on a walk in an attempt to locate the old building, which somewhere on the 'net was called "large, low, and white". I was strolling down Chalermprakiat Road and spotted a building that matched that description at the intersection with Ranongpattana 4 road. This made sense, I thought to myself, as several sources on the 'net listed "Ranong-Pattana Soi 3" as the center of the RLD. I took a stroll all over the neighborhood detailed in "Midtown. Jpg" but didn't see any action. I thought I saw a building matching the description of the brothel with the stone tables, but it looked dead and I wasn't up for randomly entering some person's house accidentally!
Tired of walking, and with 7 PM drawing near, I sat down at a bar on the corner (noted in image) and had a beer LEO. I was sitting there sipping away when somebody in the next shop over waved at me and invited me to sit down in English. Not one to turn down a new friend I popped over, assuming it was a little restaurant or something with somebody wanting to make small talk. Wrong! It was a brothel and the mama had flagged me over. We made small talk for 15 minutes and then I asked to see her lineup. She had 3 Burmese girls, one in her mid-20's, one in her early 20's, and one 19 yo. The 19 yo had a perfect body and I had to have her. 500 be to the mama and 100 be for a ST hotel down the road and I was in business. I'd scoped the area out earlier in the day after getting back from Burma but hadn't nailed down exactly where the girls would be, only locations that looked promising. Once I arrived, I walked towards the sound of music coming from KTV / bar establishments. I picked one with nice girls, assuming they would be WGs, and ordered a beer. Much to my chagrin they were not, and were taken aback when I propositioned them. Before leaving I also checked out the alleys that I'd though might hold promise from my daytime exploration, but it was all crickets. I decided that this was a sign from the universe and stumbled back to my hotel for the night.
Overall it was a relatively unsuccessful trip. I wish I'd been able to find more ladies to my liking, but I got to explore a new town, which is never a bad thing.

So I wanted to start adding some info that might help out poor bastards like myself working outside of the center of Bangkok. Particularly the North end of town and Nonthaburi. I'll start with last night's activities. So there is a soapie Next called Ocean Cabana next to "The Mall" on Ngam Wan Wong Road. A few people are probably familiar, but I figured that I would start with some more recent info (last night). So if you pass The Mall on the left after exiting the Sirat expressway, there will be signage right before the soi (turn Left Ngam Wong Wan 18) that is easy to see. There's plenty of parking and you can't miss the place. They also have a website and Facebook page with some helpful info, but pay no attention to the pricing info online. The info is pretty outdated. It lists something like 1400-2900 baht. The pricing is more like 2500 to 5000.
So I'll get to the good details. I'll post as much as possible since I doubt many Falang come through the doors of this place. So you walk in and there will be one of many papasan to help you out. A few speak English well enough. Immediately as you walk through the door to the right are the Pricier girls (maybe they called them models, but I don't remember). There were maybe 20 all seated on chairs against the wall lined up. Some, 7 or 8 were maybe stunner in my opinion. But you never know until you unwrap the whole package. But there was some serious potential there. The Papasan didn't differentiate if they were sidelines or what. I didn't really ask either. The prices ranged from 2800-5000. I will next time. So I walked into the lounge area and ordered a drink. They have food available, but who is here for that. They have what's basically another fishbowl just to the left of that lounge area. You can see both lineups of girls at the same time pretty easily.
There were about 25 girls in the fishbowl. They were all 2500. Now most of these girls were 6-7's with a few 5's mixed in. Maybe one chubby girl, but overall, not bad. So I took my time and eventually picked a girl from the fishbowl that was hamming it up a bit for me. Some girls were completely avoiding any interaction. You guys know the scene. Her name was Mam (#3). So she comes over and has a seat. We have a little bit of conversation in Thai and English (her English is serviceable). I pay up and we walk upstairs.
The overall decor and appearance of the place is pretty average. Without getting too windy about the fucking atmosphere, I would put it in between Nataree and Emannuelle. The rooms are average, but clean and have the typical setup that you would expect. Nothing looks to worn or dilapidated. Everything is pretty average and perfectly acceptable. So I'll get back to the important part. Mam was actually very pretty with a little darker skin than most Thai guys would like. She said she was 25, maybe I believe it, but who knows? She also said that she had only been working there 3 months. She showed me pictures of her working as a nurse at a plastic surgeon's office. So I think that I'm in for the total GFE, and I was right. We strip for the bath. She has more of a western girls body. Larger be cups, tall (175 cm) thicker ass and legs (a bit muscular). Pretty good overall, a baby has done a bit of damage to that probably once 9 of a body. She had some faint stretch marks on her ass, tits, and belly. Her tits had a bit of a sag to them too. So what used to be a 9, was now a 7 sadly.

I'm going to post some info just so you fellas in the area, either visiting or residents, don't get bored. So there is a street (Tiwanon-Pakkred soi 36) in Muang Thong Thani that's very close to the impact center. It connects in between Tiwanon and and Chaeng Wattana. From the Tiwanon side it will be Tiwanon-Pakkred Soi 36, and from the Chaeng Wattana side it will be Chaeng Wattana-Pakkred soi 33. You can also see the tall condo buildings (around 20 stories) that line this road from anywhere around. There are maybe 20 that line the road. Some are finished, and some are concrete shells. There is also a hotel left empty and several business fronts empty. All of this was a result of the financial crisis in the 90's I think. The bee hive mall is also on this road right next to Sukhothai Thammathirat open University.
There are probably 15 or more MP's on the back stretch where the finished condo buildings are. The whole street is lined with them. So it's hard to miss. The service in these places varies wildly from place to place and girl to girl. I have probably been to 8 of them, but I have my favorites. The variety of girls varies also, but I think it's pretty good for the most part. Some with nearly perfect bodies (no scars or stretch marks). I also have a lady that is around 45 that appears to have never had a baby. She have a great body for here age and she's a total freak of a performer. So the experiences can be vary. I'll limit my info to 2 places that I know the drill fairly well. One is called Ploy massage. There are three that are all have the same owner. The girls rotate a bit from one to the other. So you walk in to a small waiting room and pick a girl from a lineup. Oil massage is 400 per hour In each place it could have 2 to 8 girls available most of the time. There isn't a lot of English spoken here. They are all Issan girls. They will take you to a room to get into a towel and go shower in a different room. The rooms are average with a massage table and no shower. So I'll give you absolute minimum of what you will get, but the sky is the limit. Expect an above average massage usually. Then you flip you over and they strip nude. The worst you will get form here is a Tuggie. From most girls I will get pretty much everything except for sex on the first time. Half of the girls I will get full service after the first time. The older they are, the more money they want to make, but I like the challenge of turning out the young girls. There are several in the area that are all listed on the Kapoo Club Web board. So all the information is pretty much there. I'll just leave some info about a few in this area. I have read about other posters experiences with Kapoo clubs in Bangkok proper, but I have noticed a big difference in the service up here. The pricing I think is pretty good. It's usually 1500-1800 for an hour and a half full nude body massage. I use 2 places (Geisha and AIEI Spa) that are close to my house, but there are four more within easy reach of the Chaeng Wattana area. Most are in shop houses in pretty discreet areas. So if you bump into someone familiar, they are just as guilty as you are.
The girls in these places are much better looking than most girls in oilies and soapies. They're also very young. But I think that it is common knowledge that the girls are pretty quality in these places. I have had a few 9's that are still burned into my memory, but the 8's I usually had the most fun with. The rooms at Geisha are more spacious than most oilies and about the size of rooms at soapies. There are some pretty big showers and beds along with a stereo in each room. Of course there are mirrors.

However the strip with the all the bars has enough availability to fulfill your needs. The quality may not be as high as BKK though.

The only two areas in Hua Hin I know are 1.) Bintabaht Street very close to the Hilton, 2.) Soi 80 off of the main street, Phetkasem. However, there are about a dozen bars in Cha Am along two streets. I do not know the name but you can search for "Lung Dee's Guest House and you will have the street. I actually liked the girls in Cha Am. They are more laid back and some have ST rooms. There might still be a pole dancing bar and a disco nearby. Rumor is the disco is the late-night place to go if you want a FL with no bar fine but I never stayed up that late, LOL.

Wolvenvacht.In Hua Hin the Hilton is having the best location close to the bar area in Soi Bintabaht. And the greatest asset is the Beer House pub / disco on the ground floor with good live bands. There you will also find quite a number of FL girls asking for 3000 Baht LT. The Hilton is very GF and nobody will be bothering you. For best room rates check with international tour operators as the Hilton website /booking.com are more expensive.

Nor are there action by the Fisherman's Pier. BTW, that pier is in a stage of demolishment.
The action is still in the old Soi Bin Tabat district near the Hilton, plus on Soi Sallawat (Soi 80).
There are no sopies or go-go bars in Hua Hin. We try to keep the action at a decent level, after all, it is the King's summer residence.

For my first night I walked to the Soi Binthabat area. This is the area where most of the bars are. Maybe 7 or 8 streets of bars mixed with restaurants and some massage parlors.

I know about the bars and I have a fairly good idea of the quality level I will find there. Ha Ha. But what about the beach? Is the water clean or is it Pattaya-esq? I have been to Ko Chang. Now that is a pretty little island and it is accessible by car, maybe 3 or 4 hours from Pat. Ko Chang has good beaches, but only a few bars. Quality not much to write home about in the bars. Therefore I consider it a BYO or a sex break island. I would give Hua Hin a try if the beach was decent.
As for water levels I consider it on par with Pattaya, forget about clear waters. But you won't find hundreds of deckchairs obstructing the beach itself so its perfect for a nice stroll. Have seen some horse riding as well. I prefer the area between Hilton and Huahin resort, around 5 km stretch as its more laid back. The beach beyond Khao Takiab tends to get more busy.

The beach was clean and the water looked clean but that is no guarantee at all. Murky water can be perfectly OK and crystal clear water can be deadly. How the water looks is mainly determined by the soil near the coast. If it is muddy or sandy, water looks more murky. If it is stony, the water seems more clean. But even the cleanest looking water can be teeming with bad bacteria. That is entirely a function of how clean the effluent from the land is. If they dump raw sewage in the sea, even crystal clear looking water will be bad.
That being said, I saw one indicator panel near the beach that mentioned test results of the water quality. If I remember well, the results were mediocre at best and the date of the test was not recent at all.

LOS FR. Day 2 & 3 – 29/30 Jun.
Continued from the Pattaya thread.
Now after sending off Ying, I met with my pal, Sam, downstairs for coffee. I had eaten just a few hours ago so I was not hungry.

Around dusk, we went back to the villa, changed up and headed out again. This time, we first stopped by a Naga Bar, which was completely deserted. Next stop at Island Bar for a round of drinks and some free pool. Then back to Old Amsterdam to say Hello, to our latest acquaintances in Samet. Then sauntered over to Audi bar which was empty as well. By now it was nearly 9 pm so we walked over to Ploy Pub, the only disco in town. It wasn't exactly crowded, but far from empty. Plenty of local folks, loud music and a general party atmosphere. Gib and Nam wanted to hang around for a while so we stayed there for little longer than an hour before plonking at one of the sea food restaurants on that stretch of Sai Kaew. After a decent meal we headed back to our resort and finished off with another round of drinks at the patio.
We retired early again, no sex. Best sleep I had on the trip, a good 7 hours. I woke by 8 am and made sure the morning wood was shown some love. Soon after breakfast, we checked out and took a speedboat at 400 baht per head directly to Ban Phe. Gib drove us back to our hotel in Pattaya where I slipped 5000 baht into Nam's purse, which she did not count. Just gave me a big hug and wet passionate kiss as I got off the car. I looked at the time as Gib drove off, it was just coming up to 1 pm.
And thus ended the trip to Koh Samet, 2 days well spent. A few words of advice to people who might plan a trip to Samet.
1. Stay no further than Sai Kaew or Ao Phai. That is where all the action is, if any.
2. Take your girls along from Pattaya, do not bet on finding talent locally.
3. You will need transportation to get around the island and explore. Plenty of scooter and golf cart rentals available. Prices are negotiable. The odd chap might ask for a passport copy but most don't care.
4. If you drink, make sure you limit your consumption in bars and restaurants. Drinks are steeply priced.
5. Stick to local cuisine and you won't be disappointed.
6. If breakfast is your main meal of the day, you might be a tad disappointed. The buffet spreads are weak and a la carte portions are poor.
7. It's better to pay a bit more for a room in a better property compared to a lesser known one. Several good reasons ranging from service to safety to accessibility to amenities.

Hey Guys, I have had my eye on Hua Hin for a while as a possible short term get away from BKK without having to fly kind of place. I know about the bars and I have a fairly good idea of the quality level I will find there. Ha Ha. But what about the beach? Is the water clean or is it Pattaya-esq? I have been to Ko Chang. Now that is a pretty little island and it is accessible by car, maybe 3 or 4 hours from Pat. Ko Chang has good beaches, but only a few bars. Quality not much to write home about in the bars. Therefore I consider it a BYO or a sex break island. I would give Hua Hin a try if the beach was decent.I am an avid swimmer and snorkeler. I have never found the beaches on the gulf clear. To me, there is always minimal visibility, heavy silt, and often large jelly fish. I swam at a beach further South but it was the same. I think you should take your break on an island or near Phuket on the Adaman Sea side. As for bacteria levels, I believe it is a crap shoot and a risk you take in Thailand. I live in a Condo with a 20+ meter pool and the staff is on top of the levels daily. The pool is a salt water chlorine mix with the endless water style sides. I swim nearly every morning although on weekends it is a bit crowded. There are several available for short term rent via local agents or Air be+be. Look for Sea Craze or Baan King Fah buildings. Sea Craze is an awesome place. Message me if you want a wingman.

You will find in Hua Hin quiet a few Bar's where you can drink and play Pool, but female Top Picks are rare. I would rate the girls there at max. 3rd class in terms of looks and age. But as I said, there are a lot of retired peoples, so an 35 to 40 year old lady may fit well for an 70 year old guy?
Hua Hin has a residence of the King, so everything to much open and wild is a No-Go for this city. But behind curtain most things are of course glooming as everywhere in Thailand.

As to mongering, there are a sizeable number of bars in the bar area (near Binta Baht street, near to where the terrorist bombs exploded) which all have some bargirls to take out. Nothing "Soi 6" style though!
I did not see any obvious streetwalkers, but then again, I'm rarely interested in streetwalkers so I may have totally not registered them.
I have been told there are some freelancers operating at the Hilton bar.
Massage shops are somewhat all over the place and I tried one but I wasn't overly impressed. If I remember well HJ was 500 baht extra, BJ 1000 extra. FS wasn't discussed. Of course one example is hardly representative of the scene.
Agogo clubs don't seem to exist there.

This is my weirdest mongering experience to date. I wanted a good bath more than sex. I visited three times while in CR last week simply because it is the only place in town. The lineup was skimpy but that could have been due to the holiday season as my first visit was on Christmas Day. 2000 for the fish bowl and 2600 for sideliners, and the fish bowl selection was better. The first time was very mechanical service, the second a little better and the third I passed because I was going to BKK the next day and decided to save my juice for something a lot more pleasing. I enjoyed my first visit to CR but would not recommend this place unless you are in real need for relief.

Ha Ha. I could not resist a comment. It seems strange to have a mongering district in a Soi called "Bintabaht" and seems the Tambon (small district) is also called "Bintabaht" . The name must originate from proximity to the Wat (Temple). Bintabaht is the process where monks go on their early mornings rounds carrying a big eartherware, metal or ceramic bowl / pot to receive food from the locals wanting to "Sai Baat" or "Tuk Baat" (make merit by serving food to the monks). (nothing to do with Baht money).
Guys with a highly or moderately religious Thai girlfriend (that's me) will have heard these terms for sure.
Could be Soi Bintabaht is not the best place for monks' Bintabaht. On the other hand could be a nice quiet place at 6AM.

There are two temples close by but one is Chinese I think. But the monks walk almost everywhere in Hua Hin each morning including the beaches. I admit that when I first started visiting Thailand I would toss my 20 baht in the pot.

I live just outside Don Tum and while having found 2 home based massage ladies and the local brothel, I haven't been foolish enough to shit where I sleep. In Don Tum proper behind the only roundabout there is a massage shop. 3 massages and 2 ladies but no happy ending. I also found a couple of resorts but haven't noticed any freelancers lurking nearby. All my visits have been during the day.
In Nakhon Pathom is a huge what, completely surrounded by the usual high wall. On one corner you will find a Citi bank, turn your back to it and follow the what wall. There you will find street walkers on both sides of the street, a few lookers but most seem pretty raggedy. There is one major side street and on it there is a small motel by the hour, there is always girls in the door way. 200 bt for the room and the only near attractive girl wanted 700 bt for st. I been quoted from 500-1000 bt.
At the Whale hotel is a fishbowl prices were 1400/1800/2100. The also had many ladies for massage only at 300 bt for 2 hrs. The lineup was OK if you like pale. There was a wide assortment from short to tall, different styles of hair and most seemed slim. They served big beers at 75 bt and plates of food at 80 bt. Fellows at a table next to me had bottle service. Sports played on the big screen both times I've visited.

I need some help. I am looking for a GF hotel near the night market (and any action) in Chiang Rai. A recent post on the forum recommended the Wiang Inn and I tried to book but they have no vacancy for my dates in March. A girl I met on TF recommended the Wangcome Hotel, but they told me by email that they charge 600 baht joiner fee. Any other hotels nearby that I should try?

A huge what is not particularly specific (many of those), and unfortunately I couldn't find info on a Citibank branch location in Nakhon Pathom online. Could you pinpoint it on Google maps? If not, do you happen to know the name of the what, name of the street, or any other nearby landmark (restaurant, whatever)?
Is the action only at night-time or also during the day?

And it will either take some time to invest in a local waitress after hours or ask the motosai boys. Right in your face are Hua Hin and Ao Nang some options on the Phuket. Bangkok route. There is more to find north of Phuket but difficult to explain and predominantly weekend only.

But Crocodile. I know you don t like them. But invest some money in Tuk tuk drivers for finding# tanakan City# at least they will not pretend they don t have. After it will be your cheong instinct based on this report. Since you re not a beginner you should find it in within a day.

If you follow the wall around the what you soon see the very large and high blue Citi bank signs, sorry don't know the street names. I found action both day and night. English was weak and most ladies were surprised to be noticed by a farang, all were friendly though.

To potentially help others, the what is Phra Pathom Chedi (the huge stupa, city landmark), and the Citibank corner in question is the north-west one, the road most likely is Lang Pra (or Sai Pra).
Will check it out in a few days. Once again, thanks for the lead, it's indeed unusual that any truly new info pops up on the forum.
I will be in Chiang Mai few days I want to see if there is any good small towns I can hit up to check out and see the good? Any info would help?

The road heading to Nakhon Pathom from the roundabout less than 1 km you'll find lots of colored neon lights, these are fish bowls, and surprisingly some of the girls were pretty hot. Big beers were 80 bt, house fee 300 bt, and in the room 1000 bt for the lady, up the side street there is a couple of by the hour resorts and one looked like it had a bar, again look for the lights. When I check it out I'll report again.

Previously have been there and it's aggressive and costly.You must understand that there are basically two mongering scenes in Thailand. The far larger (and to be found almost everywhere) is for Thai men but is very difficult to access for non-thais. For starters, you probably cannot even properly identify the Thai brothels unless you can read Thai. Further, it is (mainly) of a very basic level: quickly "in-and-out", nothing sophisticated. And access to the really high end Thai clubs is beyond most tourists' possibilities.
The mongering scene for foreigners can be found - obviously - mainly in places where tourists are common. If you want to avoid Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket, you have probably locked yourself out of 90+% of the market. There is some activity on the tourist islands such as Koh Samui, in Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, . . . But although prices may be a bit cheaper than in the "big three", choice and quality cannot compare.
I have travelled quite a lot through Thailand and I can tell you: if you want to get laid easily but you care about quality and choice, Bangkok and Pattaya should be on your list.
Update: There is one more place you can go to. In the far south there is the city of Hat Yai. It has a mongering scene that caters very much to tourists and visitors from Malaysia. No doubt the girls there will not mind to service the odd farang.
