I'm going to Thailand next month. Can any experienced monger suggest good places to get laid? I'm not keen on big tourist spots like Pattaya, Bangkok & Phuket. Previously have been there and it's aggressive and costly.If you can get away from Thailand consider a place like Phnom Penh. Cheap airfare. 1 hour flight. Cheap accommodations. Cheap drinks. Cheap girls $50 US all night. Much more laid back and non-touristy. Not a huge selection but there are definite gems in some of those bars.

Chinatown is not to my liking. It is the lower end of the market and doesn't turn me on. I only go there for the food.

How about Chinatown?If you find Patpong and Nana Plaza unfriendly, you'll find Chinatown beyond awful. It's a low-end Thai local scene. While they won't refuse a Farang, it's far from friendly and experience is nothing to brag about.
If you don't enjoy being hassled for drinks / tips (I sure don't), may well bypass the whole agogo scene. I'd suggest going for freelancer venues like Thermae, Beergarden, Gullivers, or the streetwalkers. If you do want to sit and drink, pick one of the venues along Soi 4, and spot your street girls from there.
The scene didn't get better over the last 5 years, quite the contrary. Pattaya also worse, but more relaxed than Bangkok these days.
You must understand that there are basically two mongering scenes in Thailand. The far larger (and to be found almost everywhere) is for Thai men but is very difficult to access for non-thais. For starters, you probably cannot even properly identify the Thai brothels unless you can read ThaiSo you re still telling us the brothels in Thailand has like a door sign or ever a plate where it s writing #here baan puying# really amazing. Further, it is (mainly) of a very basic level: quickly "in-and-out", nothing sophisticated. And access to the really high end Thai clubs is beyond most tourists' possibilities.What you said regarding the local and tourist scene (and there is Japanese-Chinese and farang scene. Two worlds) worth for all Asia. But in some country the tourist scene is almost non existent, and for some like Cambodia the farang created the fantastic exploit to imported the Thailand practice in the country. Barfine, ridiculous price etc etc. Most Farang now want to cheong in Asia, but they want something dedicated to them. They have no intention to follow the local way.
So no wonder excepted Angeles and PP they spend their times to write their sarcasms here.
Massage parlor are just the most showing part of the local scene in Thailand. Catering middle and upper class Thai men. They are all over Thailand and easy to find.
In such kind of place the price is higher, rarely less than 1000 baths, the service is also better than low end brothels. That s why saying the service quality is low is not true.
For high end thai club for sure coming with Tuk tuk or taxi drivers will never opened you the doors. And these drivers are not stupid enough for bringing a farang there.
For low end brothels. Like you said it s mainly #quickly "in-and-out", nothing sophisticated. #. but as usual it s all depend about the girl.
Mongering into the local scene is first accepting the difference between the two scenes. And most farang are not ready for that.
Some trolls here will tell us brothels are easy to find, follow the Christmas light. Well good luck since Thai people ever put it on their house temple. And about using tuk tuk. All around Thailand drivers knows how to recognized pigeon.
Update: There is one more place you can go to. In the far south there is the city of Hat Yai. It has a mongering scene that caters very much to tourists and visitors from Malaysia. No doubt the girls there will not mind to service the odd farang.For Hat yai. One advice forget about it and do like Malaysian, Singaporean. Go to sadao. The main difference is LT is almost the norm here (like in Hat yai). If you re into bar scene, Songkhla has solid bar girl strip. But you have to compete with expat oil worker. Prepare your wallet, The ST price is the LT price in Sadao.
BTW some girls will never do farang. Even in hat yai, it s not common but it s happened.

I live in Hua Hin one year now. Yes, you can certainly negotiate and bring an escort down from BKK. Prices will vary girl-by-girl, but I would guess no less than 1,500 baht per day, plus expenses but more likely 2000+. However, there really are many nice, working girls available in all shapes, sizes, and ages in Hua Hin. Although, there are only two main areas, Soi Bintabaht, Soi Poonsuk district, and the Soi 80 strip that are filled with bars and massage places, however the business is quietly spilling into Soi 88 and Soi 94. Plus Thai Friendly and Wechat online are excellent ways to hookup for low-cost or free action. Trust me, I have successfully tried them. You can stroll by the massage shops at 1100 am in Bintabaht and find some fun, hit the Soi 80 bars at mid-day for afternoon delight, or for the very best selection of young hotties cruise from 7 pm until midnight. Now, in Hua Hin all bars generally close by 12 midnight. I currently have my own, live-in GF, but I can still meet and show you around while she is at work. Just send me a PM. I did not mean that. Sorry if I was not clear enough.
For farang it will be quite difficult to recognize a Thai brothel, unless another Thai guides you there. But that is not exceptiional or for Thailand only. If you come to Belgium, you will walk past a lot of places where sex is offered and you'd be none the wiser. Locals will recognize the "signs".

For answering to your question, I m not so familiar with KTV. Some KTV are purely and simply brothel. Where, when you seat the mamasan or papasan will asked you if you want girls before inquiring if you want drinks. I like such kind of #KTV# because the deal is clear, price fixed. Package is all inclusive. No bad surprise.
For others KTV your description is accurate, but English is rarely spoke in such kind local low end KTV. And girls are not here for here being your GF or telling you about her life problems, but for making money, so for most of us they will appeared unfriendly.
All and all, in such kind of low end local KTV I've never paid more than 1000 baths (I was unable to resist to this Burmese cutie). But standard price is usually 500-700 the ST. Be aware that some KTV will charge you for room, if they don t have you will have to paid for ST hotel, girls will almost never followed you in your room. Once again keep in mind I talk about local low end KTV. High end KTV are much more expansive.

Maenam too but is a bit off the beaten track and lest tourist. Can be a good base for moving around daytime. A mean of transport is recommended there.

Okay guys, I just got back from the DR, and it was great. But I am so ready to go back to Asia. A return to the LOS is in the cards, but I want advice on some places that have good attractions in addition to some worthwhile mongering opportunities. Your suggestions will be to the benefit of many others, besides myself, who can imagine a Thailand beyond BKK and Patts. Not that those two places aren't fun. But, I am still a serious tourist who loves to visit World Heritage sites, meet the real people and of course enjoy a bargain vacation in the process.
Maybe I should define what I mean by "worthwhile mongering opportunities". I look for places where you can meet pleasant girls without too much hassle. I actually like the looks of ordinary Thai girls, so I am not looking for something that looks like an anime from a Japanese cartoon. I seek out good performers, not beauties, and my experience has been the more that you pay the less you get. My latest trip to the Dominican Republic, confirmed my experience that price tends to have a negative correlation to quality.
Good attractions? How about good food, good company and interesting locales, as well as something of historical and cultural interest. I think you can get my drift. Its possible for all those things to be found in the same place.
Did I mention that I went to Old Sukhothai? Not the quickest or easiest place to reach. I took the train to Phitsanulok, and arrived later in the afternoon, to late to visit the ruins in Old Sukhothai. Stayed at a old, barracks like hotel near the train station run by a really cool and friendly old couple. I was the only farang in town it seemed, and I loved it. Nobody bothered me. I would have loved to have found some mongering opportunities there. But, this is very much off the monger's path and I don't speak Thai, so I couldn't ask around.
That said, I am open to places like that. I don't need to an English menu or English literate bar girls for that matter. Isaan sounds like it has some good possibilities, but I expect other parts of the country have their appeal as well.

So I returned and immediately chose a girl to go upstairs. She led to a typical Thai massage room. Many mattresses separated by curtains. She instructed I put on peasant pant and then started a typical Thai massage. I made it more than obvious what I really wanted but she was having none of it though she did let my hands roam liberally over her clothes there was no convincing her to give me release. Only 250 bt investment (pulse 100 bt tip) but I'm not a fan of blue balls. I'm a bit confused as many of the ladies in the fishbowl stare at me like hungry beasts so I was surprised I couldn't get action?
The Thai men there treat me well, always offering me a place at their table, this time I couldn't buy a drink, my glass being refilled with that yummy Thai whiskey. I like it there, my liver won't, but I'd like to get laid after a few drinks.

Where is Salaya.Sala ya is the big train station located 25 minutes before arriving in Nakhon Pathom from Bangkok.
Regarding your experience. I m surprised you got a simple massage in a KTV too. I can understand in massage shop with so called# fishbowl#(what a big word#. Even in such kind of place few of them provide extra. And if they do. It will be always a negotiation between you and the girl upstairs.
Like I told you Captain Lloyd you got 2 kinds of KTV. Don t make your own certainties in Thailand, if you have doubt, just ask directly what is on offer to the Mamasan or papasan.

I love to poke around by bus, boat or songthaew in Northern Thailand, bouncing from one small town or city to the next. I'll tell you what I've come across in the last couple of years, although the locations will be vague, as I wasn't noting details for others to re-trace, knowing that I could easily find these places again myself.
Thaton: (Several visits, most recently 2 years ago.) Gorgeous small town of about 1,000 residents. If you are facing the bus station (which is really just an empty lot), go maybe 50 meters to your right and look for the Thai Massage sign. It's pleasantly sleazy, the ladies go out. I recall some cute Akha girls. From Thaton, you can take a boat to Chiang Rai or a songthaew to Mae Salong.
Mai Sai: (3 visits, most recently 1 1/2 years ago.) If you face the immigration office where you cross into Burma, walk into the neighborhood to the right. You'll see some brothels. Really obvious and easy to find at night. I couldn't find a dirty massage shop, which I strongly prefer over brothels, for the life of me. Can anyone help me here?..

Krumlov.You quote a post of OnThinIce, but his places mentioned are relatively far from Lampang I think. "Mae Sai" (river Sai district) (he spelled it wrong) is border to Myanmar from Chiang Rai. Tha Ton also close to Myanmar border between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
Hope someone will happen to know Lampang well, but perhaps difficult.

Certainly a post off the norm. I have done plenty of tourism in Thailand, including old Sukhothai that you mentioned and nearby Srisatchanalai. Mostly I am prone to taking a girl with me to places of doubtful mongering potential. Pick a girl you know well that won't bore you quickly. I took a girl to Koh Tao for example, and to Koh Samet, Koh Lipe, and even to Koh Phi Phi.
Obviously you will know that Phuket, Koh Samui, Hua Hin, Hat Yai have plenty of mongering. For a nice beach area with coral snorkeling trips available, and some girlie bars in at least two locations in town, there is Ao Nang in Krabi.
A fabulous Calcite Crystal cave called Tham Kaew Komol in Mae La Noi district is worth a visit from either Chiang Mai, or from Mae Hong Son, however is a very long winding drive from either major town of several hours (where some mongering could be found). I really liked Mae Hong Son province in general but I took a girl with me each time.
Phi Mai old ruins are not far from Khorat with mongering definitely available there.
Most major towns will have some mongering for Thais, however it would be easier for me being able to speak Thai, so I don't really recommend. I will try Ubon mongering sometime soon.

I've reported on this area a bit as I live up here. So I'm just going to add some info about the local fishbowl place that I finally got around to visiting. The location is on Tiwanon RD. Just South of the Bond street intersection. Its very close to Muang Thong Thani. Bond street also has about 20 massage places that offer pretty much everything, so there is plenty of choice in this area. I've already reported about the area in general in this particular forum.
So I was looking for a massage place open on Bond st. Around 12 midnight. There was only one place open that didn't look that appealing. So I wanted to try my luck around the corner and see if the fishbowl place was open. I pulled in and it didn't look open, because it wasn't. There is a large parking lot and a complex with several buildings. The fishbowl is in the building on the right. Usually you would pick a girl from the lineup and then come outside to the back of the complex to some bungalows that you rent for short time. Tonight was a bit different. I just thought that I was going to drive around the parking lot and pull out. There were some food vendors and girls loitering in the parking lot. 2 of the girls started waving me down and approaching my car. So like a gentleman, 555, I stopped to see what they could do for me. One of them asked if I wanted a massage. She looked pretty good and in her mid 20's, so I said sure. We went and rented a bungalow for 580 baht. Which I thought was kinda pricey, but I was willing to see how this played out. The bungalow was actually pretty nice. I would rent this place while staying out of town and be very happy with it. So I shower and she starts giving me a really good firm massage while chatting a bit. My Thai isn't too bad and she didn't speak much English. Eventually we talk money and she wants 2000 baht. I told her only if get 2 shots. She said ok.
So the girl was 27 (her name was Chompoo) with a pretty smokin' baby free body once the clothes came all the way off. Very nice firm tits (b-cup) with long nipples. Nice muscular legs and ass that had good proportionate thickness on them. Much better than your average Thai girl. Very similar to Golf from Tulip, but not quite as good. Her face was a 7 with a pretty good smile, so I was a happy camper for a bit. She looked much better than I would have guessed with her clothes off, but it's usually the opposite. So I was pleasantly surprised. The service was kind of a mixed bag with some letdowns. Covered BJ, but given with a great view of her ass. No DFK or DATY. She was avoiding it. The island has gone the way of Phuket: look at tripadvisor or agoda and see the nationalities of people submitting hotel reviews of these places to get an idea. Lonely Planet will inform you of which places are 'friendly' for homosexuals. Otherwise, it is a singular source for useless hotels.

I'm assuming they were there for that. The whole complex was pretty nice and peaceful. I found a lot of out of the way temples in Chiang Mai on my 2nd trip after seeing the usual sights the first time. Wat Umong is mentioned and reviewed on tripadvisor now, so maybe it will become a bit more popular now. I found a lot of things just by riding a rented motorbike all over the westside of town leading over to the mountains.
My buddy, an ex-pat living in Pattaya, convinced me to spend a few days in Hua Hin. He was confident that I would enjoy it. He even recommended that I skip Bangkok, and spend a week in Hua Hin. My answer was, not this time.
He is on a budget, so he chose not take the boat from Pattaya to Hua Hin, despite my offer to pick up the tab. Instead, he purchased 2 bus tickets and we ended up doing the bus route, Pattaya-Bangkok airport-Hua Hin, for a brutal 5+ hour road trip, one way. He would not even take the money for my share of the bus cost, go figure. So, by the time we arrived in Hua Hin, my old body was shot and I could only drink that evening. I did pick up a bar girl that night but I could not perform.
We stayed there 3 days and I thoroughly enjoyed that city. A lovely little town, probably the cleanest and most orderly Thai city I have ever visited. You can smell money in the air, as the folks there looked well off, at least for some of the people. They had some fine restaurants that satisfied the foody in me, almost a mini-Bangkok.
The only con was the beach chair mafia. They wanted 100 bahts per chair and they would not let me sit up front, close to the water. One lady told me the area was reserved for Thai families only, and another guy asked me if I were going to order food as well. He was satisfied with my order of a coconut. My total bill came to 170 bahts, for 1-hour stay plus a coconut.

That area had easily 200+ bars and massage parlors, mingled in with eating places. The action got going at night, starting around 8 pm, and their prices were similar to Pattaya bar prices. I found some action during the day as well. Their massage places open around 10 am, and they aggressively encourage you to visit, which I did. They offer something referred to as "exceptional massage", an euphemism for a 1-hour massage followed by a real happy ending. Total cost was 1,300 bahts. However, if you happen to be there, avoid the massage places inside the WS zone. The facilities are flimsy and the service is barely acceptable. Instead, look for the massage places outside the zone, with much better facilities and more professional service.

I live in Hua Hin one year now. Yes, you can certainly negotiate and bring an escort down from BKK. Prices will vary girl-by-girl, but I would guess no less than 1,500 baht per day, plus expenses but more likely 2000+. However, there really are many nice, working girls available in all shapes, sizes, and ages in Hua Hin. Although, there are only two main areas, Soi Bintabaht, Soi Poonsuk district, and the Soi 80 strip that are filled with bars and massage places, however the business is quietly spilling into Soi 88 and Soi 94. The best beach hotel, IMO, is the Hilton, right on the beach but probably expensive. Back in late April, I checked a room in a hotel next door to the hilton for 1,800 bahts, but my buddy convinced me to look elsewhere. I ended up staying in a hotel about 5 minute walk to the beach for 1,000 bahts / night, and it was a decent hotel. Sorry, I already forgot the name of the hotel but it sounded something like Assasa.

My first trip to Koh Chang was so long ago, that it had no roads and no cars, only motor cycle tracks in those days. Had various Gancha smoking settlements (no electricity at night only kerosene lanterns, no mobile phones). I took 3 girls with me, and we stayed in bungalows.

Actually, I went to Ko Chang in 2012. The island was verdant and pretty, but all the good beaches were fairly developed with hotels and there was a paved road around 3/4 of the island. Today I think you have to check out the smaller islands south of Ko Chang if you want that primitive, get back to nature kind of thing. I have heard Koh Kood, Koh Lao Ya, Koh Phrao Nai and Nok have pretty and fairly unspoiled beaches. One of these days I will check them out.
Ko Chang circa 2012: There was a cluster of girly bars that the local expats euphemistically called "mini Pattaya" at the south end of Haad Sai Khao (White Beach) on the east side of the island road. The bar girls were very friendly to me, but looked a little past their sale date if you know what I mean. There was also a nightclub / bar on White Beach called Sabay Bar. This odd structure looked like something out of the stone age with big faux boulders for walls. Inside there was a large open space with a saloon-style upper deck. They had live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sabay Bar attracted mostly tourists, but I saw some FLs in there too. I assume that place is still around.
Further south right before you hit the next beach after White Beach, there was another group of small beer bars. I think every beach or village has a small group of beer bars. I don't know whether any of them have bar girls or not, but in any scenario I can imagine, I would not expect to find any young, walking street hotties hanging around. BYO girl is my recomendation for Ko Chang or go solo like I did and enjoy the beaches.

I love to poke around by bus, boat or songthaew in Northern Thailand, bouncing from one small town or city to the next. I'll tell you what I've come across in the last couple of years, although the locations will be vague, as I wasn't noting details for others to re-trace, knowing that I could easily find these places again myself.
Thaton: (Several visits, most recently 2 years ago.) Gorgeous small town of about 1,000 residents. If you are facing the bus station (which is really just an empty lot), go maybe 50 meters to your right and look for the Thai Massage sign. It's pleasantly sleazy, the ladies go out. I recall some cute Akha girls. From Thaton, you can take a boat to Chiang Rai or a songthaew to Mae Salong.
Mai Sai: (3 visits, most recently 1 1/2 years ago.) If you face the immigration office where you cross into Burma, walk into the neighborhood to the right. You'll see some brothels. Really obvious and easy to find at night. I couldn't find a dirty massage shop, which I strongly prefer over brothels, for the life of me. Can anyone help me here?
Chiang Saen: (2 visits, most recently 3 years ago.) Pretty, small town on the Mekong. If you are just south (downstream) of the bus station side street, on the west side of the main road next to the river, you'll see a massage sign. It's really just a brothel. I just arrived in Chiang Rai on a dreary rainy day. I selected the Wangcome Hotel as it's in the middle of what "action" there is. At about 6 PM I did a reconnaissance stroll on the streets around the hotel, and there's not much to see. I've been in Pattaya the past few days and didn't expect anything remotely close to that, but I was hoping for a bit more than I saw.
As mentioned in other reports, there a ton of massage shops in this area. I probably walked past 40 of them. Most had 2-4 older ladies in them, sometimes they were OK looking. I didn't see any young or pretty girls, but I wasn't looking that closely. I also walked past about 20 bars, that were mostly quiet. A few had 2 or 3 girls in them, again older for the most part. Most of the bars were just empty, or at most had a few western backpacker types in them. But it's not even 7 PM yet and just getting dark, so I'm hoping they pick up later.
Also as mentioned by others, Jetyod Rd has most of the bars and a lot of massage shops too. I also walked that little side alley that cuts off the corner between Jetyod and the main street, Thanon Baanpa Pragarn. There were a handful of small bars, but they were all closed with the garage doors pulled down. This looked to be the right area. I'm hoping that they open later tonight when I go back out. It is Sunday night here too, and it's still low season, so maybe this is as good as it's going to get. I'll try to follow up with more info.

The little bars in the alley never opened up last night. I don't know if it was because it was a Sunday night, or it's low season, or a combination. I've come to Phayao a couple of times and could never find any action outside of the massage parlor scene. I know that every Thai city, no matter how small, has something going on. The trick is for the farang to find it if you don't have local contacts. So I got here to Phayao and as usual was wondering what to do, when I found a really old Thai Visa post from 2009 that talked about a "small red light district" on Susan Street. The directions were terrible, so I decided to just walk the street and see if was still there 8 years later.
I started at the base of Susan Street near the lake and walked only about 5 or 10 minutes through a residential neighborhood. I then passed a few dimly lit "bars", and knew this was the "RLD" if you want to call it that. There were maybe 3 or 4 of them, each with about a half dozen girls inside. They aren't really bars at all, there are no signs or anything, just like big rooms sort of open to the street. I walked past them, then doubled back. In front of one was a mamasan who tried to lure me in, so I figured what the hell and went in. It wasn't a bar at all, just a collection of tables and chairs in an open area. I ordered a beer and someone went inside and brought me one.
There was a guy in there too and 7 girls, 2 that were really old and the rest not very attractive. I can speak Thai OK so I was talking with the guy who indicated all the girls were 500 short time except one who was 600 short time, even though to me she didn't seem any more attractive. Then the guy's phone rings, he answers and then tells 3 of the girls to leave for a customer, and they were of course the 3 best looking ones. One that was left looked OK, so I chose her before she got called away too. I paid the 500 plus 100 for the beer, and we got on the scooter and the mamasan and took us to her place, a really small room nearby.
I'm going to skip the rest of the details as it's nothing interesting. Mamasan came back and picked us up, and I got dropped off near the main road, and off I went. As this is the only thing I have ever found in Phayao, I might give one of the other establishments a try. But I think the massage places are a better option.
I can't wait to get back to Pattaya.

Styk.I doubt if any Farang style entertainment. Plenty of Thai style entertainment will be visible at night. Khon Kaen has plenty for mongers but it just over an hour away by road. "Hua hum" means head of the dick and not "dickhead" (perhaps both interpretations are possible). "Huu bpen hee" means you have an ear like a snatch (and have bad hearing). LOL.
If I was going to Hua Hin, I would not expect that much quality from the local massage and bar scene. Could be worth taking a really hot girl with you. If I wanted to go a great beach resort with beautiful nature, I would not go to Hua Hin. I am not quite sure what is the attraction other than it's not a massive distance from Bangkok and is not Pattaya. Watch out for monkeys that want to bite you and steal your food.
I am sure Prajuap (Prachuap) is nicer (but not for mongering). I would also prefer Krabi, Lanta, Koh Pi Pi, Koh Lipe, etc. Plenty of really beautiful places. Even have to prefer Phuket really. Perhaps others can explain what Hua Hin really has to offer.

Soi 80 is also a street with bars on the other side of the main road. You will also find massage parlors in Ponsuk road with extra service. Everything except soi 80 is within 8 minutes from girlfriendly Hilton. Thipurrai City is an inexpencive girlfriendly hotel in the center.

Bintabaht is a decent size area with many bars and massage shops open from noon to midnight if not more. Everything is on the menu. Just do a search for this place. There is a Bintabaht bar map via the Hua Hin Forum or on Redcat afterdark blogs.
Soi 80 is one street that is slow by day and steady by night. I don't think there is more than one massage shop and only about 20 bars.
Now, several of the bars on Soi 94 are starting to quietly make girls available for dates after their shift. No specific bar fine but they free lance. You should be able to pick up the vibe quite easy. If you need a hand or want a Wingman send me a PM.
Also, many of the bar girls are on Tinder, Badu and Thai Friendly these days.

Thanks.I doubt if you will find much mongering for farangs in Chonburi. It is not a place many farangs go to. TripAdvisor lists only a few attractions: https://www.tripadvisor.be/Attractions-g297916-Activities-Chonburi_Chonburi_Province.html.
You may be more lucky in the beach side town of Chonburi: Bang Saen. Very quiet during the week, but very busy in the weekend when half of Bangkok comes there for a day at the beach.
It is also a university town with lots of young uni students running around. ThaiFriendly is definitely a good starting point. For many years I have been with a PhD student from Bang Saen and had good fun with her.
You will find the usual massage places in Bang Saen with the usual extras offered. There are some nightclubs/gentlemen's clubs near the corner of Sukhumvit road and Long Had Bang Saen Road, but I've never been there as my PhD student kept me busy enough.
Based on Love Palace's suggestion, I went down Poon Suk and found a place at the north end just before Dechanuchit. Was in Udon for a few days, my first time in Issan.
Day and Night complex – 300 b bar fine, 2500 b for LT.
Actually I didn't even discuss payment with the girl, I just gave her 2500 b because she was so enthusiastic and she seemed very happy with the amount. Transport.
-Van from airport to hotel is 80 b. Try to get to the van as soon as you get out of arrival, it leaves when it's full and if you miss the first one you may have to wait another 30 min for the next to fill up. Taxi from the airport is 200 b. Had a problem with my internet connection so I didn't manage to check whether there were Grab cars around.
-Grab from Soi Samphan to airport was 160 b.
-I mainly used Grab to get around the city.

Last I was in Ao Nang (a few years back), there were at least two major bargirl areas, one in behind the main street, and another at right end of the main street (if looking from the sea) round the corner and up on the right maybe a 100 metres or so. Funman13.Good strategy Funman. I am living in Hua Hin for 6 weeks now. I do not claim to be an expert. IMHO Hua Hin gets a bad rap about only having high mileage providers. They certainly do but there is no shortage of the so called diamonds in the rough. Soi Bintabaht seems fairly busy now. Soi 80 is pretty slow and perhaps a buyers market and the ladies are eager. Numerous massage shops are on the northern fringes of Soi Bintabaht leading to Soi 57 which has a high concentration of them. 99% of them do not even pretend to be other than knock shops. There are a fair number of young attractive women mixed in with the old fatties. I got a pretty good oil massage with HJ finish for 600 baht the other day. She asked how much I would pay and that is what she accepted. As a retreat from the din I chill at Meeting Point bar on Soi 57 with good music, relaxed people and a single pool table always in use. No ladies for takeout in Meeting Point but the massage ladies are a steady stream and seem similar to freelancers. It is also my opinion that the Hua Hin scene may not be big enough and varied enough to warrant a separate thread. I have not mongered in Cha Am. If there are any little hidden areas not reported on, somebody please chime in.

My experience is that anytime the massage therapist comes to your room, the opportunity is there for more than just body work. If you go to the hotel spa, however, the odds are leas in your favor.

I stayed at Ko Samet white Sand beach (Hat Sai Kaew) 2 years ago. There are numerous beaches and areas in Samet. Rented the speedboat from the pier which was much more comfortable than the ferry. Stayed at a nice bungalow that was right on the beach. Just, walk out your door in the morning and the sea is at your doorstep. Restaurants pop out on the beach each night at sundown. About a kilometer down the beach, there is a small shopping area with a few shops and massage shops. There are only 2-3 massage places. I cannot recall the shop name but two sisters own one of them. Every afternoon I went for a 1.5 hour massage with a handjob at first then a blowjob in the following days. I gave her 1500 baht for each session. Very relaxing holiday and I would like to repeat.
The Bus Stop Soi is about as Nana Plaza-esque as it gets around here, with a handful of hostess bars that might have a doable take out. Keep in mind that Cha-Am is primarily a Thai family and after Christmas, a Scandinavian destination. Lots of farang food and very good seafood.

How about Loei?I have made use of the services of some of the locals in Loei, my last visit was about 6 months ago. On my first visit there in 2016 I told a tuk-tuk driver I was looking for some female company and he took me to a small resort in Loei City, I told the female owner my preference (aged 18 or 19 and slim) and she made a few phone calls and about 30/40 minutes later a very pretty girl arrived on a motorbike. I was asked to pay THB1700 in advance, and though I am reluctant to pay in advance I did so (only after the girl arrived) and was rewarded with a very pleasurable short time! The 'office' is in the centre of the resort and the bungalows are located in different areas of the resort, once you pay the owner gives you the key and tells you the number of the bungalow and off you go.
The bungalows are small, very basic, but have air-conditioning. The owner gives the girls 1000 and she keeps 700 for the use of the room. The tuk-tuk driver hung around and brought me back to my hotel after I was finished, and I gave him 300. I have been back to Loei 5 times since then and have always rented a car at the airport and have driven myself to the resort but never stayed there I have always stayed elsewhere. On every trip to Loei I have always made use of the services on offer at the resort, always a short time in the early afternoon, and have always been impressed with the girls on offer (9 different girls in all, on 12 visits to the resort, I never had to decline any of them) and always tipped the girls 200.
I have a good basic command of Thai and was able to do all the arrangements by myself using Thai, bear in mind that the further you go outside BKK and the tourist areas the more likely it is that you might have a few language problems if you can't speak Thai, but having said that, with a google map and a Thai phrasebook on your phone you should be OK.

This just happened to me last weekend. I was in Nong Khaii for a border visa run and an excursion to Vang Vieng, Lao. It's apretty quiet town situated on the Mekong and across from Laos. On Saturday night, I walked up to a street that was said to have girly bars but it was a pretty sad Soi so walked back towards my hotel. There is a small beer bar area in White sands beach (past the Makro a bit), quality is average, bar fines 500, ST 1000, LT 2000. The best get snapped up by the long stayers. Because there are a lot of Russians there, and they are despised by the Thais, Americans / Brits / Ozzes are in demand.

I recently stayed at the Evason hotel in the Pak Nam Pran area in Pranburi just 30 min south of Hua Hin. I've been there a few times as it's a very nice 5 star hotel that you can get for 2000-3000 baht a night sometimes. There's also several other boutique hotels that are anywhere from 500-1000 a night. It's pretty quiet around there, but a very nice area to spend weekend and wander around. And Phraya Nhakon cave is just 30 min south of there. Some of the beaches in the area are the best I've seen in the Hua Hin area with not many other tourists around. There is also good kite surfing in that area.
I usually would just drive up to Hua Hin if I felt like any action because there isn't much going on in that area, but I stumbled across a massage shop directly behind the Evason that is pretty much a brothel. It's in a newer 2 level shop house near the 4 way stop intersection, behind the Evason. There only a red and white sign out front that reads massage and has some Thai script also. No phone number. There is also a Green and white acounting shop sign out front also. It's an open shop with chairs, tables, a bar, and a fridge with beers. I drove by and saw a fewer younger girls sitting in the shop dressed up in the usual manner that would catch our attention. I parked and walked in and asked the mamasan if I could get a 1 hour oil massage. There were only 2 girls, I took the one that was not as pretty, but had huge tits (discovered they were bolt ons later). She took me upstairs and into a private room that she said was being lived in by 2 girls. There was just a mattress on the floor with clothes and luggage around it. There was no furniture at all, 555! But at least the room was pretty clean and had it's own private bathroom. Right after the shower she wanted to discuss prices for sex right away. Recently stayed in the Khao Lak region for a few days. Small, quiet coastal town with a decent amount of tourists but they're mainly couples and families.

Tha Bar--on the main road across from Moo Moo cabaret. When I went, it was pretty dead with 3 older Thai ladies but they were very explicit in offering some fun. "Special massage" "boom boom" etc.
I was quoted 2 k thb with barfine of 500 thb or so. At that price and the fact the ladies were older in their 40's+, I declined. But the option is there and talent and age may vary night to night. Has small pool table in back that had a bunch of old white guys playing having a good time. Beer is expensive, around 120 baht IIRC.
Violet Bar--left turn off the main road going and-S onto the other main road near the night market and all the hotels / dive shops. Owner is a fun gal in her upper 30's and she told me she's moving the bar further down the road--still same road though so future mongers, just be aware. There were 3-4 girls working, 2 younger and 2 older. Pool table in back and good ol' Western music playing. Drinks are expensive, 110-120 baht for a beer and ladydrinks are 150 thb. Barfine is 500-600. When I arrived, I was immediately surrounded and chatted up by the 2 younger girls as there were only a few customers. One had big tits and sexy glasses and I was definitely a fan. The other was a little chubbier but still cute and more of a homey, GND-type. Both were very chatty, flirty and friendly. This was surprisingly good. I was expecting a run-down provincial knocking shop, but the interiors were just as clean and the wall art / posters even better than many BKK soapies. Normal fish bowl split into categories of 1600,2200 and 3500. I took one of the 2200's and it was a great experience. Hot water in the bath tub worked / got piping hot- it doesn't always in so many soapies. The girl was a 20 year old and very good GFE for the hour. Cuddled after the deed, no rush or clock watching. Real coffee from an espresso machine and drinks available at very reasonable prices. I will surely be back. It's a great pit stop on the way to BKK from Koh Chang or the other way around.

It is very different from the rest of Thailand.
It feels like Malaysia. There's a bustling street food market everyday.

There is a soapy in the center of the town and several brothels on 2 or 3 designated streets.
The Malaysian Ringitt is widely accepted along with the baht.
There are not many White tourists around.
Maybe about 20 bars in town, all popular with the Malaysians.
I went to Danok for 1 night just to see what it's like and it was truly horrible, especially for me as someone who no longer drinks. The best thing about it are some full service massage parlors with hot tubs and steam saunas, but be prepared to pay (3000 baht up) as they are spoiled by the Malaysians. If you have Western sensibilities then that is probably the best thing to do, BYOB or your teelak if you are a long term expat and head to the islands (Koh Lipe and Koh Tarutao) after getting a mini-taste of Malaysia and experiencing the strangeness of Hat Yai town for a couple nights. The food is good. It is possible to find company to go with you to the islands in Hat Yai town or Danok, but it won't be cheap.

I don't remember the street names of the brothels, but any moto taxi driver will take you there and if you don't like one street, they will happily ferry you to the next- in the hopes of receiving a commission.

This year the wet season came very late like September, and was short where August is more normal. Maybe early July can have okay Weather.
I think gulf of Thailand in July may be better than Andaman side as weather is not the same both sides, but that is just a wild guess. I thought Koh Samet was not very optimal in September with debris in the beaches, but not so bad if beach swimming not a big objective.
Now more to the point. I was in Koh Chang end of July 2015. It was a little bit on the rainy side. The wet season had started to set in. Still could be hot at times. I did swim a little bit. The island has some very steep roads that become muddy, slippery and quite dangerous in wet season. Still could get around and do things. Some remote roads became difficult to pass by car or bus at times when major rain storms. Vehicles can slip and slide off the roads on steep inclines. Probably the main areas would not have that problem so much. There could be ideal areas without the steep roads, most likely. Others may know that. I was in a far resort with accommodation converted from timber boats.
I am sure early July could be a bit better. So late July not really recommended as ideal. Start of the wet season. If was me I would take somewhere easier for July like Koh Samet (easier to get to), I think. For sure Koh Chang can be really picturesque in the right season.
P.S. In Koh Chang I was stuck with nothing to do much. In remote resort had no internet signal. The Mrs was not helping me out much at the time. That left eating and sleeping and shitting. I don't smoke weed. So maybe you want to make sure you are somewhere sufficiently civilised that can use your time. If you have sex on tap, could be O.K.
I am not aware if Koh Chang has corral and nice tropical fish for snorkelling. Koh Samet does have some of that. I see Koh Chang has a dive centre.

I would probably stay away given the excessive corruption levels on the Island that required the police to alter evidence and frame those poor Burmese guys for the murders. Thailand tries to maintain its illusion of justice, to avoid decimating tourism. Just means I would get a creepy feeling to be there.
Koh Tao is quite difficult to get to and very far. Had a rough bad weather boat trip and sea-sick. Not for mongering. I would give it a miss simply because Koh Phi Phi and Krabi is easier to get to. For a better nature place, in the south Koh Lipe and Adang is actually nicer. Satun (sounds like Sa-dtoon) province fly to Hat Yai. Not many Americans there, mainly Scandinavian types. Even some nice Swedish girls.

I am back from some days in Koh Chang. There are various comments about this destination and what is available, so I'd like to put the record straight.
Koh Chang is a bit of the beaten track, with no airport on the island. You can fly to Trat on the mainland from BKK, but it is kind of marginal as to the benefit, given you have to do the airport faff, and then transfer via ferry anyway at the other end.
On the island, it is a bit like a Koh Samui of 20 or so years ago, quite quiet and laid back.
You certainly don't have the full range of exotic sexual services like a Pattaya, Phuket or Bangkok. No soapies, Go gos, and the massage places mostly seemed straightforward massage places (open plan inside). What you do have is beer bars. Theses are concentrated in the resorts on the North end of the West coast (the East only has a few isolated high end resorts anyway). There's a cluster at the south end of White Beach, a string of them along the main road north of Chai Chet, and a "walking street" in Kai Bei. None of these areas are huge. Maybe 15 - 20 bars in each, but if you want to find some female company, there should be enough to choose from. None of these areas are far apart (max 20 minutes by Songthaw) so if you can't find what you're looking for in one, you can try another. There's only one road round the island really, so they are easy to find. I didn't see any places in the places further South like lonely beach, although I wasn't there at night, so it wasn't so obvious.
There's meant to be a "nightclub" opening in White Beach soon, where I expect you'd find some freelancers, but these will anyway probably be the bar girls after shift for the most part.
When I went (admittedly start of the season), there weren't many customers, so plenty of choice. Overall the vibe was pretty relaxed. One evening, when I wasn't particular seeking company for the night, I went into one, had a beer, played a few games of pool, and wasn't particularly hassled to buy lady drinks or anything (as I left, they even said thank you for coming).

Anyway, I decided to "keep" her, so she stayed with me for the rest of my time there. I was staying in a fairly high end place (or at least what passes for one in Koh Chang), but the "security" didn't seem bothered. In fact I don't know what the point of them was frankly as they didn't seem to do anything.
She did get clocked at breakfast. Not because of how she looked, as she dressed quite discreetly, and there were plenty of mixed couples, but because she was clearly confused by the concept of the free access buffet!! But all that happened was that someone asked if I'd booked the room for two (which I had) and although seemingly disappointed not to have caught me out they didn't make anything else of it.
Anyway, I had a very nice few days with enthusiastic and affectionate temporary girlfriend. As for Koh Chang, it's a nice chill island with nice beaches, good snorkelling and some nice waterfalls. Not an great deal to do as such, but very relaxing place to spend some time.
You won't find anything too wild or exotic, but there's no problem to find some friendly female company if you want.

I am back from some days in Koh Chang. There are various comments about this destination and what is available, so I'd like to put the record straight.
Koh Chang is a bit of the beaten track, with no airport on the island. You can fly to Trat on the mainland from BKK, but it is kind of marginal as to the benefit, given you have to do the airport faff, and then transfer via ferry anyway at the other end.
On the island, it is a bit like a Koh Samui of 20 or so years ago, quite quiet and laid back.
You certainly don't have the full range of exotic sexual services like a Pattaya, Phuket or Bangkok. No soapies, Go gos, and the massage places mostly seemed straightforward massage places (open plan inside). What you do have is beer bars. Theses are concentrated in the resorts on the North end of the West coast (the East only has a few isolated high end resorts anyway). There's a cluster at the south end of White Beach, a string of them along the main road north of Chai Chet, and a "walking street" in Kai Bei. None of these areas are huge. Maybe 15 - 20 bars in each, but if you want to find some female company, there should be enough to choose from. None of these areas are far apart (max 20 minutes by Songthaw) so if you can't find what you're looking for in one, you can try another. There's only one road round the island really, so they are easy to find. I didn't see any places in the places further South like lonely beach, although I wasn't there at night, so it wasn't so obvious...
Anyone know if Orchid Soapy in Chiang Rai is still open? If so, any cost updates?

Thank you for your report, it was very informative.I stayed at Kacha Resort, which is one of the more upmarket places (don't know your budget). It has quite a range of rooms / prices though. It is split across the road (as quite a few places are). The nicest rooms are on the beach side, but the rooms on the other side are a lot cheaper. You still have access to all the facilities either way though. It has a pool area and loungers facing the sea, and is just at the point where the beach turns from stones to sand, so you have access to the sandy area. Nice sea facing restaurant / breakfast place.
10 min walk to the beer bars, it is pretty much in the middle of the White Beach strip for bars / restaurants etc. Anyway, I was perfectly happy with it, although I have nothing to compare. Available on Booking.com.

Can't say I fully agree with that, in fact I've stifled a laugh about it.
I did a search on Mae Hong Son for bars, as found many in the town around B2, maybe a kilometer or two travel.
Their photos on google maps, tho I will, admit they were dated, seemed to indicate quite a bit of availability.
Maybe that area is bereft, like I found in Sukothai when I went, and maybe it's the northern provinces away from Chaing Mai / Rai.
But Thailand in general, excluding tourism precincts which we know have it, all seem to have many options to find during my travels.

On Th Samphan Thamit (the farang street), there were plenty of bars open, and there were girls looking for customers. It did not seem busy, but there were farang around, especially restaurants. I had a lady in town, thus I was not frequenting the bars, so no first-hand reports. It looked like one would not be alone if one wanted company.

I know the owner of the bar and told her the manager trying to upcharge and she said normal now that in low season, but told him I only pay 300. With not as many guys there is a good selection available and even some cute early to mid 20 cuties as well. Seems girls are asking for 1500ST and agreeing on 1200. Not bad for the cute ones.
Walking along Samphan Thamit Alley is hit or miss with the girls but seem there is not a lot of action happening for them. Haven't tried but sure they will take what reasonably offered to them. There are a few that would be worthy of a romp. Once you get to Prajak Sillapakhom if you turn right there is a good weed store with a massage joint next to it again with some pretty decent women there. Thank you for posting. Always enjoy reading updates from Udon Thani and Nong Khai. Will be there again for a week in July and will definitely post my experiences. Glad Day and Night does not have a minimum drink number before bar fine. A couple months ago, I was at a bar called "Meeting Place", and the Mamasan said I would need to purchase five lady drinks before taking a lady back to hotel. And even then, she would not allow the lady to leave the bar until 8 pm. I won't be returning there. There are other smaller bars in the alley that have no such rules and regulations. I found 1,000 k-1,500 k seemed to be the standard asking price for ST a couple months ago. LT I experienced with two different ladies for only 2,000 k.

I know Google is not a definitive source but all the photos I see show rooms full of multiple massage tables, not a good sign. I did find one, at Klong Prao beach, that lists "full body tantric" on its menu.

Let me strict to the point that Phitsanulok is quite a quiet town at night unless you went into the right place. Most places don't concentrate in one area, but still within the city. Those pre-covid kind of street walker mentioned in farang website is no longer there anymore.
Clubbing and Pick up bar.
The only correct information still correct is this bar called Wood Stock. It's not a farang bar, more like a small restaurant and bar for young Thai people with good live band. Since it's well shared in farang website you can see foreigners coming here too, so there is always some change for you to do some pick up here. It's always full but drink and food are not expensive. Get a right table and you open up your chance for the girls on the table nearby.
Another big club still exist would be Picasso at Topland Hotel. Most patroned by the regulars, people seems to know each other's. So I rate the chances of picking up is kind of lower. But there is PR available to drink with you by selling you LD. But the PR quality here is below average. I don't see anymore coyote bar now as once mentioned on the internet. The one closest to available would be Rabbit Bar & Restaurant which have their own PR. They were run by the same management who closed Forte during precovid. There is an outside and inside area, not many customer, not many PR also (photos on their fb shown otherwise) but this one you can sit in the club on sofa and your girl will drink with you. Can touch how much or follow you back or not depending on your skill. There is private KTV room too but all closes at 2 am. The famous Galaxy Karaoke last time that open till morning is no longer there, no need bother go there. The only late night KTV available will be Kam Pai Karaoke, they don't have much girl, usually you need to bring your own and it's very very rundown. Last but not least, there is District 65 which is popular now, chill chill bar and restaurant, and also Tawandang Mahatson nearby. To see the better dress and Hi so girl, I guess good place would be The Library. Dress up like an oppa you could be lucky. There is no PR here. Very well decorated like all The Library in other province, but the Phitsanulok version is super crowded and I would say this is your best place to give your eyes some good view.

From what I have understood so far, Nothaburi is a hidden gem from the little I have read so far in the posts made before the pandemic.
