In general, the larger hotels 4+ stars are not girl friendly and the spas are very overpriced. Don't go to the places in Ngoc van they are really low end and are the sorts of places where the girls are working after being trafficked hence the poor reports on here. Went for a wander down Thuy Khue, which according to earlier reports on here is Tam Quat central. Tam Quats are supposedly barber shops, but in reality look nothing of the sort and it is quite obvious what they are. Went for a wander down Thuy Khue, which according to earlier reports on here is Tam Quat central. Tam Quats are supposedly barber shops, but in reality look nothing of the sort and it is quite obvious what they are. Headed to Sakura massage after reading earlier reports on here suggesting a BJ with the girl getting naked would be had for ballpark one million including the ticket price and tip.

On the reception desk there is a sign with three options. 90min for 550k, two hours for 650k and two girls for around 900k from memory. I chose the two hour option.

Prices are a little too high for me.If you want to have a cheap non-GFE fuck with some local working girls, you can find the street walkers not too far from the Old Quarter in the evenings. Head to the Hanoi Opera House, a few minute walk from the Hoan Kiem Lake, head down the road along the left hand side of the Opera House (as you face it) , and then at the end of the road (about 300m) turn right and you'll see anywhere from a couple to a dozen girls spaced out along the pavement seemingly watching the world go by. If it's after dark, all these girls are working girls. Boom-boom seems to be the universally understood word. Exploring a different part of town, I stumbled across the Blue Massage VIP. 466 De La Thanh. It looked nice from the outside, so I was hoping the quality was going to be good. I wanted to post an update and review of the Boss KTV in the basement of the Fortuna Hotel. I think most people on this forum know about this place-beautiful women, nice atmosphere, pretty high ticket price. I've always liked it, and found it worth the money spent, for the most part, but I made a trip back a few weeks ago, and learned that they have a few new rules in place for customers, most of which are pretty annoying.

I think someone mentioned that now, if you aren't staying at the hotel, you need to have your passport on you to book a room. I don't know when this was first implemented, but it's definitely true. If you don't have a room booked at the hotel, make sure you bring your passport with you, lest you go home alone! There's also a new rule that even if you go as a single guest, and plan to have a girl sit with you, you still need to spend at least 660,000VND (I think, or around that much) on drinks. This was the worst for me, because I don't want to buy a bottle, and I don't drink all that much when I go out, so it's really just them charging even more to go there, with nothing in return.

In short, it's still a great place to go and have a fun night with a beautiful woman, but these new rules are annoying, making it more expensive than before, and I'm not sure if I'll go back any time soon. Ngo 52, To Ngoc Van: I been there twice in the past. Once around 3 years ago, I had really great fun with a average level girl there. That time the enter was 500 K + tip 200 K / shot. So a recent discovery for me and an interesting resource is a smartphone app called Zalo. It is best described as a location based social network / chat platform. All the interface is in Vietnamese, but with a little help from Google Translate you will have it set-up pretty quickly. You upload a head shot and then away you go. It lets you see who is near you in your chosen gender and age bracket. You can see the persons' photos and updates, depending on their settings. You can then send them messages and start a conversation or sit back and wait for them to message you.

I've only had this running for a month or so but have already had some good successes from it. I have had girls message me straight out offering sex for money. I tried out a couple and had a good time. I got bit of a surprise recently. At hotels that ask for my passport when checking in (usually the ones that specifically have "hotel" on the signage, instead of "nha nghi" ) I normally just give them my driver's license and they accept it. I figure they are really just asking for some type of guarantee that you'll pay the bill, rather than strictly following the law. Well, as I was checking out, I heard the guy at the counter talking to another guy in vietnamese and remarked that I've been in Vietnam a long time already. Oh man...Hotels are known to pay off the police to keep them from snooping into their "short time" business which they are not supposed to offer. Since they already have the cops in their pocket, I'd imagine it wouldn't be hard for them to call up their contact to dig up your passport and visa info based on the info on your driver's license.

For this reason alone, I prefer to use short time hotels that don't require any I'd. Hotels are required by law to report all guests daily so if they have your I'd, you can be sure it's reported. Every hotel you've ever checked into is in your record and who knows if that will be used against you one day.

FN.There isn't really any action available in the immediate vicinity of the Old Quarter. The closest place for a blow job would probably be Doc Ngu or Thuy Khue. Not really sure about availability in the early morning though. I know the ones in Doc Ngu don't normally open until around 11 am. You're also going to be looking at about a 1 hour round trip as well to get there have some action and get back. Maybe even longer in a taxi, even though the distance isn't all that far, so you can pretty much forget about sneaking away without girlfriend finding out.

Thanks for yor comments Richard. After my disappointing visit to Oasis I checked your recomendation. There are Tam quats at #73 and #61 not at #63. In both places I did not find te girl you described. Hoever I took another girl at nr. 61 and had a nice experience. I have recently left Hanoi and wanted to share my experiences there. I was there for some time and learned a little bit of Vietnamese and had my own place, which definitely helped.

I had quite a few good experiences using internet services. Tagged and Vietnam Cupid are good for freebies.
