I was there 3 weeks ago. Much as was expected motorbikes will drive you to places, quality low. There are several clubs on the promenade street but didn't see much in a way of P4 P. I did go to some of the shops on the street I mentioned before. There are 4 shops very close to each other. It costs 100 K VND or about $4. 50. The highway to Vung Tau has been rebuilt and nicely landscaped with trees, flowers, lights. You don't have to go to the bus depot. It's a very nice trip.

There are some bars owned by expats that cater to the oil-rig workers. Some were mentioned in the post that I replied. You can find some FL in those bars, but they are far fewer than the bars in Saigon.
There are also some freelancers on the web like thiendia.com, again far fewer than Saigon or Hanoi.
The plus for VT hotels with in-house massage is, after couple days, some smooth talking and flirting, I can call for room service, and the girl come to my room. If you're in Danang and don't care about the price, I suggest you try Spa Mekong. The one on the east side of the river, not the one on Nguyen Van Linh street. It's located on the river road somewhere between the Dragon Bridge and he Han Bridge. Their cheapest massage is 300 vnd ($15), but it's more than sufficient. Stayed at Macca's place, nice and quiet backwater GF hotel in Ward 2.
Did a crawl on the first night after getting a taxi down town where all the banks are.

You can get to My Khe via Han River Bridge sure, but you'll need to hit the seafront first and then drive straight down Vo Nguyen Giap. I've really struggled to find anything of consistency the times I've visited Danang but one place I can vouch for is Moonlight Hotel. I'd say I've visited Moonlight around 5 times and experienced the service of four different women there (one of them twice by coincidence). I wouldn't recommend it but there is a road called Nguyen Tat Thanh that runs between Danang and Hoi An. It crosses another road called Lac Long Quan. Around the crossroads are a few hotels and cat tocs advertising massage services. I would only bother going if you.
A) have a motorbike.
B) have a confident ability speaking Vietnamese. Can bargain and play hardball confidently.
C) have no qualms about very gritty interior.
I was frequently visiting the same place on that road because they had a girl who had the body of a Greek goddess and the chemistry was second to none. Once she left, nothing could compare. The owner didn't sympathize and always tried to make me pay more and the replacements were very dull.

There are really only 2 difference. The girls in Nha Trang seem much more like the girl next door. They are friendly and sweet. Next would be the price. I'm Ho ChI Minh they asked for 1 to 3 million. In Nha Trang they asked for 500 k to 1 million. I think the girls are prettier in Nha Trang.
If you need help a motorcycle guide will help for 30 to 50 dong. Also don't hesitate to go to a spa. Even if it looks closed knock on the door you will probably get a response. A lot of the little ugly looking hotels will be happy to assist you. Accidentally walked into Han Dang guest house at 11/7 C Nguyen Thein Thuat and I was blown away by what they offered. Ok gents, here's my contribution for Danang. There's no point hiding the hotel names on this forum. If a white guy with no Vietnamese skills on a few days visit can find these places then they are not exactly under the radar. This country works on payoffs to the senior people, places don't get raided if they appear in some English based forum. They get raided if the money stops, or to set an example.
Danang overall was a big let down, I would not venture back there specially for any action. I had much better quality and options in Saigon. English is extremely poor and often leads to misunderstandings and frustration. Whilst there isn't much traffic in Danang it can get expensive taking taxi everywhere as I don't ride a bike (crazy dangerous intersections, I'm surprised there isn't crashes there every few minutes with cars speeding through and just blowing their horns to warn).
Full list of places found / some also reported by other people.
Moonlight Hotel. Perhaps the most well known place. Facilities are at least rated as good. $400 K entrance and I paid an extra $1. 2 M for a 7/10 girl. Included BBBJ and FS. I caught a glimpse of around 5 other girls walking around near reception, there was nothing over a 7, most 5 or 6's.
Eden Plaza Hotel. I don't think this has been mentioned before. Amazing huge 4 Star hotel with fantastic facilities. I'll upload a few photos later on that. Ticket $500-600 K and then negotiated BBBJ an FS for an extra $1 M. Both girls I tried had a bit of an attitude, asking for extra tip etc. Both were early 20's but one had a kid. Phu My Xuan Hotel at 81 Ngyuen That Thanh: Another basic 3 star hotel with Spa. They showed me 4 girls with a price of around $1 M for FS, but I walked as they were 5 or 6's only.

Danang overall was a big let down, I would not venture back there specially for any action. I had much better quality and options in Saigon. English is extremely poor and often leads to misunderstandings and frustration. Whilst there isn't much traffic in Danang it can get expensive taking taxi everywhere as I don't ride a bike...Everybody's experience is different. It's unfortunate that it didn't work out for you. Not quite sure how a, quote; "White guy with no Vietnamese skills" has figured out exactly how everything works within the DN local government / police etc, but that's your own take, so fair enough.
If you don't ride a motorcycle and don't speak any Vietnamese, as you've seen yourself, you'll find DN more challenging than HCM, where things are very easy by comparison. If you expected DN to just be a seaside version of HCM, then that's poor preparation really, because it's not and it is different in many ways. I've lived in both cities and there's +' and -'s for both.
To add a little to your experiences / places visited in your informative post: You're in the minority (as a white Australian?) As the vast majority of 'tourist' visitors in DN currently, are from China / Korea / Japan / Malaysia. Some big cultural differences / attitudes there! All the places you visited are either in Hai Chau or Ngu Hanh Son Districts, but there are some great places in other DN districts. They would have been difficult for you to successfully visit with no motorbike and not speaking Vietnamese though. Of the ones you did visit, walking away after meeting the girls initially introduced may have been a part of the problem. There are always more girls and always some big surprises too. Not speaking Vietnamese possibly stopped you going through the 'a new deck of cards please' game, but politeness and remembering loss of face normally does work well. This also works when negotiating with the girls too. Finally, you downrated some girls on initial appearance alone. No problem, it's a free world, but some of the most truly memorable, great sex times that I've had (at great prices) have been with 'normal' looking VN girls. Some 'model looking' VN girls, mainly in HCM have been like encountering robotic starfish once they're in the sack. DN is just as good as HCM, but for great results, you need to speak some Vietnamese, confidently ride a motorbike and be patient, unlike HCM where uber / grab etc and lot's of acceptable English speakers make things fast and easy.

I'd be keen to get a few street names for some of the places you mention outside Hai Chau. I haven't had much time to visit outside the city recently but when the time comes, I will do so. Streets I've previously checked out are countless cat tocs and massage parlous along QL14 B, LE Dai Hanh and Truong Chinh (Truong Chinh particularly had some amazing women but they would come and go as quick as night and day. That was a few years ago and took a lot of investigating. Some of these places would only be open at office hours and would close around 5 pm). I once got HJ for 100,000 VND. I gave Gold Hotel 3 a try on Vo Van Kiet simply because I was nearby. The man at the door spoke of young, beautiful masseuses when I was taking the elevator. Both QL14 be, LE Dai Hanh and Truong Chinh are in Cam LE and are worth a well scoped out re-visit for you. Ton Duc Thang is in Hoa Minh and I have only been over there a couple of times, but both visits were good (unlike yours it seems?) Nguyen Tat Thanh starts in Thanh Khe and I would encourage you to spend some time in this district. Not sure if your priority is girls appearance / service or simply low price / value for money, but all these and combinations of them are there in Thanh Khe. Nguyen Huu Tho is in Hai Chau, so as already mentioned, if you're patient, take your time, speak some Vietnamese, ride a motorcycle etc (to travel around easy) like many other places in Hai Chau you can find what you want but not in 10 minutes flat like some of the previous good times I've had in HCM hahaha. DN is far less intense / packed / frustrating than HCM on a motorcycle, but the speeds are higher with its better road structure and lower population, so acute road awareness and peripheral vision needs to be much higher I think to avoid any accidents.
Gold 3 I've not been to, but possibly won't now. Ironically, once at Bamboo Green (which has pretty dated rooms and needs a re-furb really don't you think?) I did have the sauna, massage and memorable full service experience (in both flavors! GFE & PSE) from a 'normal' looking 24 year old girl from Hanoi. Take another left once you hit the crossroads (I think there is a sign saying something like welcome to Hoi An) and you're on Nguyen Tat Thanh going back to Danang. On the right a few hundred meters towards Danang is the place I spoke on in this post. I was told before there is around 15 women working there, all of variety. I used to be quoted 1.5 million but usually bargained down to a million or doubled up for 2. If you have any success, please post up a report. Most of the hotels which advertise "Massage" will offer full service with the girls. Sometimes you specifically need to request "Massage and relax" to get access to the working girls. A great example of this is the Samdi Hotel near the airport. They have some of the most beautiful girls in town, but to get access to them you need to request "massage and relax". Prices are expensive though. Almost all the 2-3 star hotels near the beach offer FS if they have a massage sign. This includes the Gold 3 hotels people have mentioned, and pretty much every other one nearby. None of the resorts offer extras.
Another rule of thumb is that if it's called a "spa" or advertises "foot massage", it probably does not offer any kind of extras.
There are dozens of places of Pham Van Dong. And there is one Massage place off the road on LE Van Quy street that offers a good selection of girls, but as this is in the middle of the Korean tourist district, they're used to higher prices. I did have a girl there recently for 600 k, who was a bit older and on the less attractive side, but she made up for it by giving a rim job and one of the best blowjobs I've had.
There used to be an excellent little place on An Thuong 3 with really attractive girls. And I never paid more than 600 k for full service. The Luxury Hotel on Tran Phu once upon a time had some of the most beautiful girl you can imagine for 1 million. But I don't think that's the case anymore. I haven't been there in a long time.
Also the drawback to Bach Dang and Tran Phu is that there are several legit massage places mixed in with the one that offer extras. I know a few of the Hotels on Nguyen Huu Tho street near the airport have some decent selections, but you have to be willing to bargain.

Looks: I'm not really the person to ask, to be honest, as Asian girls are generally not my type. Light skin, caramel-colored (dyed) hair, somewhat more Khmer-ish (face. My other point was directed at the guy asking for local joints when back in 2011 he was happy to overpay 700-1 m when the going rate was around 400 k but now is unhappy when being held ransom for 1.5 m+ and ask for local joints, so tip for him is to don't overpay initially and learn to bargain effectively.

In case you were after the place I was going to before, head towards Hoi An on that road and you'll hit a t-junction. On the Danang side of the t-junction are loads of places.
