Has anyone been to Araach Giaa a port city SW of HMCT. If so how do you get there? I head through a 3rd party of many grils there.
Mikieco - Rach Gia is a city about 150 Miles SW of HCM City. You have to take a Tour Bus to get there. It takes probably between 4 - 6 hours depends on the driver and traffic. I believe you must be able to speak Vietnamese in this city in order to get around ... There are many cute girls but you need to know someone local in order to get hook you up!. Are you serious when you write that there are a lot of girls in Rach Gia ? Because I have been there 2 years ago and was very despointed by what I found : nearly nothing. I just could take a girl in the only diso, a kind of open place near a lake, if I remember well. But, still it had been a bit of a problem to take her back to my hotel, and she would not stay longer than a few minutes. When is the last time you went there ? I would be very interested to go back there, if the situation has changed.

I am serious about the previous posted. I was in Rach Gia three weeks ago .. I was there for a couple of weeks. As I said before, you need to speak the language and have local connection in order to get girls. There are quite a few. I am not quite sure what disco you are referring to (near a lake) ...
I have no problems taking girls into my Hotel, as long as you take good care of the Clerk at the Front Desk. I never had any problems with the girls wanting to leave after a few minutes. I usually have to kick them out afterward so I can peacefully rest instead.

Palace is a great place to stay in Rach Gia. "Thu Mai" is also another good one. Don't know much about Long Xuyen or Phu Quoc Island, but I know Can Tho is quite a happening place ... with lots of girls!!! Good Luck

Basically for DA NANG report, it will cost you $50000 to have it (FS) in a coffee shop, which is a place they will take you to. They will pay for the drinks. If you want to go to a KTV, it will cost $70000 for the girl, you pay for the room charge and drink, about $40 to $50000 per hour. Just go to somewhere in QUANG TRUNG street, especially on a motocycle, just stop and look around, girls will approach you in motobikes.

Just to share some info. I went to Vung Tau a few years back. I recommand that you forget Bay Chai. On my first 5 minutes out of my hotel a guy in the street came and talked to me. He said in a funny out of date French : "attention beaucoup de pirates, beucoup de polissons ici". I did not pay attention. But he was true : Bay Chai is just a very commercally orientated place for Chinese tours. I got cheated by the woman who took me to the *****s, and nearly had to fight with her "husband" on my way home, I got cheated by the "travel agent" who sold me the boat ticket to Cat Ba. Don't trust anyone there. Actually, don't even go. In Cat Ba, I found a kind of Cambodian style Karaoke, ie a Karaoke where noboby singsany songs, but takes the only girl there (young and cute) to f... her in the back room for 10 USD. It has red lights like the barber shops in China, in a side srteet, on the way to the 2 discos.
I did not do anything in the discos. One is for Foreigners, the other one for Viets. I of course recommend the on for Viet to have a try. May massage along the main road, the girls will call you from outside, but I am not sure if you can get anything than a face massage. Try and tell us !
I would agree with Erik, nothing special at Bai Chay except rip-off. There is some actions at the small island opposite of Bai Chay. Take the Taxi to Quang Ninh ferry port, 5 – 10 min. from the Bai-Chay’s Ha-Long tour ferry port. Went to Danang for the first time last week. It's not really worth a visit but the beaches are nice and there are a couple of clubs. There's a place called Tommy's which is on the river, and it's packed with hostesses. There's no fee to drink with them and it's easy to make arrangements to see them after work, which ends for them at mid night. There's a hotel called the Elegant about 25 meters up the road from the club wit clean, decent, air conditioned rooms for about $35 and they are girld friendly. Vinh long, Mekong delta, Hotel Cuu Long B. The number 1 house in town but rooms just barely bearable. Not one english or any western language station on the cable TV, but at least 5 chinese, 3 korean etc.
Massage saloon is underneath the main building, entrance through the parking lot. facilities BASIC, actually substandard. at least reasonably clean. a real local operation, the reception lady speaks limited english, none of the girls does. there were about 15 girls hanging out in the reception area and i just brazenly gabbed one without waiting to have one assigned. that was well accepted. in the room pretty bad massage, ( 90.000 VND, 6 USD for 45 minutes). this was finished after 25 (!) minutes and she started playing with my cock. It ended in an average BBJCIM which brought her a tip of an additional VND 100.000. real cheap for vietnamese standards, but you really get what you pay for. It was not much more than a release for me, but might be the only venue available in this smallish rivertown.

Just come back to Nha Trang. Plenty of Barbershops offering Shaving and BBJ. All Barbers along the southern side of Beach Rd. The front is for haircuts and at the back you will get BBJ. Cao Bang (was I just lucky?)
A big contrast with what happened to me in Hanoi, I had a most unusual experience there, in Cao Bang. I sympathized with a Viet guy who spoke fluent English. In the evening ,he took me everywhere. Later at night we went to a Karaoke with many friends of his. It was no common Karaoke bar for it was a big room, with a stage, on which a Viet with a keyboard could play virtually any song that you knew by heart. I was there a few years ago so my info may be dated. There seemed to be only a few bars, discos on the one main drag on the water front, but I still thought it was great. When I was there in 2002 I had alot of fun. New Century Club had a live band from 9-10pm, other than that the club is boring, no girls for take out at all. I don't stay at the useless overpriced Ana Mandara resort but have a nice tourist class private hotel with ocean balcony view and all the aminities including guest friendly for 250000d. I meet many non-pros all over town who ask for zero $ (often desperately looking for a foreign boyfriend) sometimes taking them to ST hotels for a test drive (tipping them if they accept it for their time) because they would camp out at my real hotel if they new its location. There are young, pretty, available moto girl indys, taxi girls w/pimps and girls offered right and left for the negotiated standard VN price of 200000-300000d. The going rate at a tourist trap like Sailing Club is LT 500000d or less and especially less in the wee hours of the morning. A haircut at the numerous barbershops in town is 10000d, manicure 5000d, pedicure 8000d, massage (1 hr.) 40000d and tip for any extras. Extras are usually best at your hotel or nearby mini. A good tip is 50000-80000 for HJ, 100000-150000 BJ and 150000-200000 FS. Yes, Nha Trang is fun but it is as cheap or cheaper than wore out Pattaya Beach IF you know what you're doing and NEGOTIATE in good spirit. Otherwise, giving in to anything close to the "million dong" and "hundred dollah" nonsense just ruins the scene and leaves the girls spoiled rotten.

Nice posts. You portray a side of Vietnam I never saw, and I was living there for six months! Though I lived in Hanoi, I was often in Saigon and never had a problem bringing ladies to my hotel rooms, never underwent the scrutiny (at least not that I was aware of) that you did, and never really felt hassled. Most of the girls I picked up were from bars and clubs, and I never did any of the motorcycle mamas so that could account for some of the differences. I would guesstimate, on average, I spent about $25 per encounter, but that was for the whole night, and for women with all of their teeth. I agree that bbbjs are universal in Vietnam and no woman I ever met had to be asked for this service.
I saw from your post in the Saigon section that you were not overly impressed with the place. I thought it was beautiful, but I must admit I prefer Hanoi. You might want to give that place a try next time. It's more laid back, and there's plenty to do and see.

Hoi An is a wonderful little town and you should have a great time there. Stay at one of the two seaside resorts as the beaches are really nice, the scenery terrific and the service excellent. I think the place I stayed last year was the Victoria and I loved it.
The beach resorts are about a 10 minute drive, by hotel bus, motorcycle or taxi from the resorts. I rented a motorcycle when I was there and made the trip abut twice a day. There are lots of local bars in the towns and I don't think that women would be a problem, but I did not try as I was there with my wife. If in doubt however, stop in Danang first (you have to fly there anyway) and pick up a woman there and take her to Hoi An.
It's true that the town is touristy, and there are loads of street stalls selling the usual crap, but the Chinese sites are worth seeing, and you can spend a very pleasant couple of hours taking a walking tour of these sites. There are also a number of reasonably-priced restaurants all over the place, serving Western and Vietnamese foods.
There are also lots of fairly cheap, small hotels in the town if you do not want to spend the money to stay on the beach. Vietnam airlines has packages most of the time, that include the flights, the local transport to and from the airport and the hotels. This is cheaper than making all of the arrangements yourself. When I went, the arrangements went very well. I liked the place so much, I plan to return this December for the Xmas holidays.

I checked the Hotel you told me (is it the Victoria Hoi An Resort?) on the LP guide, but I saw it costs US$120++. A little bit overpriced for my standards, normaly close to the US$20 range or just a little bit more.
What I'm thinking is coming by a night train from Hanoi to Huč and, after some days there, then a local bus journey from Huč to Hoi An.
What I was able to find all over the net about Hoi An is just a couple of suggestions on two bars, the Polite Bar and R&R Tavern. I'll report back in september.

I spent a couple of days in Hue and, asode from the Citadel, I thought it was a complete waste of time. It's not attractive, I did not like the Hotels and the bars were only mediocre. Yes, the Victoria Hoi An is the hotel I talked about. There are however, lots of small, clean hotels in the town itself. Again. I would start in Hanoi, hand around the expat pubs and clubs for a couple of days and get some current advice from the guys who live there all the time.
Why spend upwards of $50 or more for a hotel when you can have just as nice a place for $10-15 per night.
I just came back from VN and visited Nha Trang, Dalat, Chau Doc, Vung Tau and didn't pay over $14 per night and the rooms were awesome. Here's a recommendation for Nha Trang. The Tay Ho Hotel was $14/night for a suite and was directly across from the beach and about 1 block down from the night market. It's 98B Tran Phu Street, phone is 84-5-852-4242 or 4244. They are really nice there also. If you need a motorcycle to rent, they can get you a decent bike for about $5/day + petrol.
All the places I stayed there were plenty of girls around that were available and looking for men to play with. The hotels didn't even ask my wife and I for our marriage papers as the larger hotels have done in the past. The resort hotels will try to charge you for 2 rooms if you can't prove you are married.
Saigon has mini-hotels all over that are no questions asked as to who comes back with you. Just don't let the local police see you going with different girls back to the hotel. They may get pissed and hassle you somewhat, but americans normally don't have a problem as they are afraid you will run to the embassy and they will get their butt chewed for bothering you.

Just came back recently from a 3 day stint in Nha Trang. Still the best place to go and kick back in Vietnam in my opinion. I was not there for the sole purpose of getting laid so my report actually came about by a chance encounter.
A late night after partying at the Sailing Club down on Tran Phu St. i got asked by a moped driver if i wanted a girl. This is pretty common in Nha Trang. They will drive up to you and ask you if you need to go somewhere, massage, beach, get laid.
He wanted 500,000 dong for 1 girl, for the whole night. I got him down to 400,000 + 150,000 for hotel room (mine wouldnt let her in) + 50,000 his fee (driving me around).
He then drove me around to see a bunch of girls until i found one that i liked. Drove me to hotel and picked me up in the morning. I thought that was pretty reasonable for 50,000 dong.
The girl was probably a 7 of 10 but she kept trying to rush me so i told her there's no rush...haha i dont think she walked straight the next day.
All in all 600,000 dong or 40 us dollars for everything is not bad

No help to you in terms of locally but mention of the Furama brings back particularly nice memories! I took a girl from SGN up to DaNang with me, and then down to the Furama. So this March I looked into the original nightclub, didn't like the scene (I must be getting too old! ), and went back to my hotel the Yakusa. Downstairs there is also a bar/dancefloor, but when I went in there was proper ballroom type dancing! (and thats not the scene I was looking for either! )
My mate and I had a couple of beers and were about to go when the ballroom dancing finished, and 4 girls came in, headed straight for us. Before I nknew it, I had a handful very close to me, organised by one of the girls who was clearly the Mamasan - and you guessed it, the same Mamasan!
So once we had made the connection, the dynamics changed completely. Thing was, I wanted to take the girl I had back with me (big mistake in the end because she smelt a bit sour down below), and Mamasan didn't want the girls to know how well she knew me. Back in the room (I had to take another room at the Yakusa for her) I had at least three phone calls from Mamasan before, during and after the job! No problem except for all the feighned dissapointment at me not wanting her (Mamasan).
Had a great night with a great smelling girl who was very willing and pleasant.
Costs around 400, 000 for each of the girls, 100, 000 for the Mamasan each of the nights. Can't remember what the hotels cost.
Then to cap it off, on the last day there, a waitress in the bar/restaurant on the beach where we had a few beers each day quietly asked me if we could swap phone numbers with each other, as she would like to see me again! And she was a gem, but alas, no time left to pursue further!
Now looking forward to going back there again. Picture is from the 2nd girl from the bar.

In other places I’ve gone into a department type store to ‘shop’ and if I found one to my liking, I’d strike up a conversation and ask if she could help me find some place for dinner and help me sightseeing the next day. I also offer to pay her for her day(s) of lost wages at the store. Is this a good approach also in Thailand and VN?

Notes: Not liked this hotel, only viet customers not so clean rooms. Not raccomended.
Day 1:
I went to Huč Hotel, in D Le Loi between the two bridges. I had a 1h massage, and I paid 90.000 VND in front.
Beautiful viet girl, HJ only tip 100.000 VND, no BJ available. No english spoken at all, not so great massage but fair experience.
Closes at 11.00 PM, mandatory.
We saw the famous Century Riverside hotel. Massage available and night bar 9pm-2am.
I went to the boats near the parfume river, but I wasn't able to spot any P4P action!

It was my 2nd trip to Danang in the last 3 years. I stayed in Bach Dang Hotel. It costs 190,000 or around $13/night. Someone reported it costs him $25 which may be too high.
I took a Xe Tho (motobike guy) to a Beer Om on NguyenDu street. I met a tall and attractive Hatinh girl who is around 25 years old. She is such a sweet girl. BTW, you guys got to understand that when you are in a Beer Om place the girl will try to make you eat and drink as much as she can. I tried not to get into such situation. I stopped her and told her I'd pay 200,000 dong to the house and thus did not need any food or drink. We chat for half an hour then I lay her down on the divan (there is no bed in the room). I took time playing and making her come, fucked her in multiple positions, but could not make myself come. This is such a nuisanse when you get older ... Well, I had a good time anyway and tipped her 200,000. She was very happy but she felt sad afterward when I told her I'd not be able to see her again. Total damage was 400,000 or around $26.
This place is definitely not for non-Viet mongers. I recommend non-Viet to look for safer places. The Xe Tho guy told me many westerners got robbed by thugs in closed-by places. Watch out you guy. I had a bad experience in Hue which I had to fight my way out ... Fortunately I only got couple bruises (the other thug lost his 2 front teeth ... :) )

If you speak the language you should not have any problems getting around. Talk to any Xe Tho (motobike driver) and he will take you to the place. Make sure you deal with the mamasan upfront about the food/beer cost. If you don't want any food or beer tell her so.
There is another place where you can get hand job for total of 100000 (50 to the house and 50 to the girl), I forgot the place. Just ask Xe Tho.
Same in Hue, there are beer om places full of young girls from Can Tho, Long An, or southern parts of VN (these girls don't want to work too close to their home towns). I fucked couple young and innocent girls there (firm breasts, tight pussies, and extremely wet ... ) And again, I forgot the place as I am not familiar with these areas.

Need some answers from someone who knows VN well. I am going to Hai Duong (about 50km east of Hanoi) in Feb. 2005 to visit some viet friends there. I have been once before but with viet friends from home so no language problems that time. But there will be this time but that will be my problem. Anyway, since I am going to stay with my viet friends living there and I suspect they will be with me most of the time, girls will be hard to find. Or? What is the traditional view on sex among young people in northern VN. Last time I was there it was only for 10 days so I waited till I came back to Thailand but now I will stay for 3-4 weeks. Is it possible for a foreigner to get sex from a young, single "good" girl in north VN without promising a wedding? What is their view? And if that is out of the question, is there a general way to find bar girls or other prostitutes? I mean like a red light in the window or just to ask girls who are out after 10 pm or something. It was my mistake for not following my instict. The incidence happened in Hue. I stayed in a place close to Dap Da (Rock Dam) and could not sleep during the night. Hue is basically dead after 10 PM. I took a walk and got invited from a cyclo guy who is in mid 30. This guy promised me to find a cheap place for beautiful girls (oh, how stupid I was!) I hopped on and he took me over Dap Da to a deserted area. I immediately felt something was wrong so I asked him to stop. He just continued riding so I jumped on him (while the cyclo was moving) and forced him to stop. Then we got into a struggle. After breaking his face I ran back to the hotel which is ~ 2 miles away while this thug was riding his cyclo to get his friends. I was lucky that they did not catch me. I had all the money, passport, etc... with me that night.
Going with xe-om is relatively safe but not completely. It is better to go with someone you know. I've heard some tourists got robbed to the pennies. Never go out at night. Get the girl to go to your hotel if you feel horny. If you go out at night go to a well-known club with a friend (or two).

As I went in, there were two guys there with a girl secretary. I was asked what I wanted. I told them I wanted overnight with a girl. We negotiated the price to be 350kvd. They asked me to wait while they made a phone call to the local supplier to bring the girls. They told me that they will keep bringing the girls until I find one that I like. It took them 30min to bring the girls. I was so tired of waiting by the time they arrived that I just picked one at random since, it was only about 20USD.
Overall, I think I like the Dong Anh district most off all. But, if you do not have someone to interpret for you, it will be tough since noone there speak English.

Easy to reach from HCM by Hydrofoil (1.5H). leaving every 30 Min. THis Seaside resort town is the to be seen place for the Highsociety of HCM on the weekends. Good place to escape the rush and smoke of HCM. Huge choice of accomondation with excellent deals midweek.
Massage parlours to be found all over town often beside hotels. Entry between 50 &100K Service from HJ to FS or BBBjCIM up to you. Girls will try to negotiate price but 200/250K seem to be the price for the dead. Downside so is, that one can not choose the girls and that it is rather a take away meal contrary to a gourmet lunch.
Freelancer around southern end of the beach. 300K -400K. She will get you to an hour hotel cost about 100K. Just walk along the beach along the shops and you will notice the action.

Nha Trang. A nice beach, some good seafood restaurant, some Cat Toc, many massage parlours. The problem with MP in Vietnam is that in most places you do not see the girls. You walk in, are shown a list of prices (thai, swedish, vietnamese, oil massage...). Prices are ridiculously low, about 7 USD for 1 hour of good massage. Then you are driven into a room, and a girl arrives. I was lucky and both times had decent ladies, but who knows? I do not like the system. 20 minutes and more of legit massage of your back (you have only a towel around your privates, she is fully dressed). Then you turn around and front massage starts. And here, the smallest movement from your friend, the finest wrinkle disappearing from your towel, and she giggles, smiles, and asks if you want to be relieved... for 500.000 (50 usd). I asked : "hand or ...?" she showed me her hands, I touched her mouth, she said mmmmm, ok. This was the first one, bbbjcim. The second one said no, just hands, so I offered 300.000 and she agreed. In both cases I could touch everywhere, but not insert fingers. Interesting experience, but enough for me, will not go back. I am sure you can have better prices, but bargaining with you dick standing up is difficult and also ridiculous...that's how I felt anyway. After 10 days in Vietnam I could not wait to be back in Thailand.

The prices you could get as a foreigner is 200/300 000 for ST, 400/500 000 for LT for a cute young girl usually not speaking english. Many girls would not stay long time because they go back to their familly.

I think the cheapest way (not neceesarily the best way) is by bus which cost around $5 to $10 (I forgot). It takes about 12 hrs from SG to NT (only do this if you have time and like to see what is going on on highway 1) but you can save some money for mongering.

Or you can simply walk into the Vietnam Airline office, there is one in D1 accross the street from the Peoples Committee Building and the Rex Hotel. It's really easy just go in and ask for a Que number, waite a short time in the AC'd office. Check out the little lookers while you wait. The staff is very helpful and usually very pretty.

Take the last train leaving Saigon around 11:00PM and you should be at Nha Trang as early as 5:30AM the next day. You can have your hotel (even a mini hotel) gets the ticket for you. They will charge you an extra VND 50000 per ticket.
You can buy expensive sleeping seat for VND250000 (about $18.00); 4 people/seats per cabin. For the cheaper sleeping seat VND200000 ($14), 6 people are in one cabin. These cabins are all AC.
So, total cost of transportation is VND300000 ($20) per seat.
If you travel with friends, just buy the regular seats, like VND60000, and save the money for beers. You can party on the train and [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) the hell out of other people because some of them need to sleep because they have a long way to go.

uhthere are many dive shops around so you’ll have no trouble. there is also some historical relics you can go see like po nagar tower, the sacred hindu site dating back to the 7th century and the stone church. the first time i was there i hired a taxi and told him to take me to all the tourist locations. i think i paid like $20us for the day. if you have time check out money island.
personally i like to hang out at the louisiana café. the have ok food and a public pool. the only problem is a lot of tourist hang out there and they can be annoying.

I noticed all these bars were patronized only by foreigners and I guess it explained the exorbitant rate. All of the bars in the area are worth checking out. My advice is to start from the Crystal bar and then start working your way back to Summer Wine.

The bar at the Royal Hotel is actually next door but still part of the hotel and when I was there there were more like 50 ladies. Absolute max rate is VND1mil for all night. Grand, Rex, Palace and Petro House are all not GFE Hotels. I guess it is quite similar to HCM that mini hotels with rate less than USD 25 normally GFE.
There are plenty of mini hotels at back beach catering to weekend tourists from HCM that starts from 150 k dong. My recommendation for GFE hotel is Anh Thu at Hoang Hoa Tham, rate from 150 k, clean but off course not in the same league as Grand, Palace and Rex.
I found Huang Hoa Tham on a map but not the Anh Thu hotel. Saw a Hoang Hoa hotel and some others near the beach. Would you have any contact details for Anh Thu?

I made a trip to Vung Tau this past week and had a few bits of information to share.
As you head east of the statue of tran hung dao, there's a karaoke bar on the left side where you can negotiate a happy ending. Average price for LT is about 800,000. All the cabbies know it. They get a 200,000 kickback for bringing customers so it's better to just walk from the statue, otherwise be prepared for the asking price of 1 Mil. The mamasan owns a nearby place where you can rent a room for an additional 300,000 for the evening. This setup really isn't my first choice, but its an almost guaranteed happy ending. Next time, I think I would go try the bars across from the statue first before going with the karaoke bar.
There's not much of a selection. There were only two when I went there at around 3pm (6-7 in my book). The shorter of the two had a nice rack, was fun to chat with (if you know a bit of viet) and actually tried to look out for my best interests. After some fun in the room, we chatted for a bit and I was able to get on her good side with some sweet talk. She warned me the cabbie would try to suggest eating and take us to a restaurant where he had a prearrangement to overcharge for food (so they could split the profits later). We went to a different place instead and that really pissed him off, although he tried to keep it under control. We wound up splitting ways with the cabbie and my girlie took me riding around on her moto. After that we went to back to the mini hotel for a second session and went to a cafe afterwards. I wound up spending the evening in Vung Tau and took the first hydrofoil back to HCMC.
On another note, I was told that the An Thu hotel was closed a few weeks back. This is from the cabbie that was trying to fleece me, so I'm not sure how reliable his information is.

Sammy Hotel quotes at $40 on one website and is in middle of town. Would like to know this myself.I haven't been to vvu tao for about 5 years and the hotel I had would not allow any overnight guests. I think she had to leave by 11pm but did promptly turn up at 7am the next morning. I was told that if the cops raided the girl would be in a retraining camp for 6 months and I would be heavily fined.
Has this changed or are there specific hotels that don't get raided.
If so any further info would be appreciated including the names of the hotels.

Was at Mui Ne a few months back. Not much action there. A few run down discos and bia om(s). I was approached by some FLs there but I feel that the meat in HCMC are "fresher".
IMHO, if you are used to the kind of standards and chicks you get in HCMC, I would suggest you just go there to R&R and have fresh seafood.

Just back from a 3 week stay in Vn. Bamboo Green Riverside is still good for "In Room" massage service, not bad for 120K an hour, extras running from 200K- 400K HJ/BJ respectively. Stayed at the Pleiku Hotel, steam and suana downstairs. Some real sharks to deal with there but massage and HJ were exquisite. This is mongers paradise. I went there late in the year, as winter was coming on. It was obviously not very busy, as often the streets were deserted of visitors.
To get there, take a bus from the Luong Yen bus station (BEN XE LUONG YEN) in Hanoi to Hai Phong. The cost was 32,000 VND. The bus technically stops at the BEN XE TAM BACK bus station, but I was actually dropped on a street corner about a block from the bus station. I wandered round for a couple of minutes before I saw the bus station sign and I went over. In Hai Phong, catch a mini bus to Do Son. I do not know the name of the bus station, I think maybe there isn’t one, just a bunch of buses doing the run back and forth between Hai Phong and Do Son. I flagged a moto at the BEN XE TAM BACK bus station, and he took me to an ordinary bus shelter, and motioned me to stay there and wait for a bus. They run at about 15 minute intervals. The cost is 7,000VND, and is 22km, about 30 minutes all up.
I arrived in Do Son at about 5pm, cold, windy, not very inviting. I had booked in advance at what turned out to be about the most upmarket hotel in town, at 350VND per night.
I checked in, dumped my gear, and went for a walk to find the action centre mentioned earlier on this thread. It took me a while, as I walked past it without recognizing what I was looking at. The action centre is a short street, with no name, about 80 metres long, running at right angles to the beach esplanade. Look for the Tuan Chung hotel which is on the corner. There are about 5 hotels or karaokes on each side of the street. All offer action, with touts on the street trying to hussle you in. It also seemed as if there were plenty of other regular hotels offering the same service, but I did not see them openly offering. I stopped in at one, the Tuan Anh to check, and the woman on the desk said it is OK to bring a Vietnam girl to my room. The going rate is about 120,000VND all in, girl plus room for short time.
I found a place to eat – there are lots of restaurants, all offering sea food, and not much else.
Then I went back to the street and took another walk along ground zero street.
A young guy took my arm, steered me into his hotel, and sat me down on a sofa in the front. I told him that I wanted a bbbj, only. So I walked in the opposite direction, towards the point, and came across a street with about 10 to 15 small hotels side by side, facing the sea. I walked to the end of the street, not much happening, as it was getting dark, and cold. On my way back, about half way along the row of hotels, was an opening on the ocean side, leading to a parking area. I walked down to have a look. As I was walking back, a young, pretty woman came out of a small building, and struck up a conversation. We chatted for a while, her English being pretty good. After a while, she pointed to a hotel across the street, and said that it was a very nice hotel. There was something in her voice, so I asked her if she would like to go to the hotel. Good questions Larry! The outer Districts of HCM can be quite large and are divided into sub-areas called wards. To get to a place one normally needs
either the full address as written on the sign in front of the business or a detailed description of roads including landmarks at turnoffs.
For instance all the directions to Long Thanh golf club say to take the highway towards Bien Hoa and take the turnoff to Vung Tau which is landmarked by the Big C supermarket.

When I got off the bus I was approached by a tout who offered my a hotel. Since it was close and cheap (8 US$ a night) I followed him and he also offered my a day tour with his motorbike (9 US$). I can highly recommend this guy!
Later I asked him whether he could organize me a girl in my hotel room and he said " no problem". So at night we met, he also brought a friend of him and they started to call some girls on their mobiles. After some 30 minutes 3 girls were there and I could choose. Since I arrived at the end of the year, many of the hotels were booked and it was kind of hard to find a room. So if you come in a holiday season (e.g. Xmas or Tet) book ahead!
Since I have read in this forum about the Tran Quang Khai area, I wanted to stay close to this street. I found the following hote, which is GF:
Lan Phuong Hotel, 64B/17 Tran Phu (small alley off Tran Phu, clos to the Sailing Club)
I ordered twice a girl from a nearby barber shop and it was no problem at all to receive them in my room!
But it seems to me that many hotels there are GF!
Girls for Bum Bum:
1. There is a barber shop in 6A Tran Quang Khai Street which has 5-6 girls working there. They offer HJ, BJ and Bum Bum. You can stay there (they have a room with massage tables and a room with a matress on the floor on first floor), but I decided to chose the girl and then to receive her in my room. Out of the 5-6 girls I found only 2 doable, and these two I tried on two sessions.
Cost: 300.000 VND for 1h and 1 pop

2. once I also followed a motorbike driver to a place where there should be girls available. There were 6 girls available, some quite young (18 yo) and cute. The price was 500.000 VND (Bum Bum, 1 h and 1 pop), but I refused and remembered the place so that I could go there again without the motorbike driver and get a better price.
But the problem in this place is: they do not have a room with a bed, only sofas, since this is a Vietnamese karaoke place. So the session wasn't that comfortable ... but if you accept this little "disadvantage", it will be ok.
Address: Hung Vuong 4, Hoang Loi Hotel -- do not enter the hotel reception but pass by on the left to the hotel alley, after 4 meter on the right (actually right behund the reception) there is a small stairway leading up to the first floor (right on top of reception) and a mamasan will welcome you. She will call the girls and you can chose!
Cost: 250.000 VND for 1h and 1 pop (so it pays back if you come to these places without a tout or motorbuike driver)
BBBJ, DATY, multiple positions, but the gilrs were a little bit reluctant for photo sessions

Best season of the year, end of the raining season and few months before the hot. You probably will be arriving amidst the new year prep activities, great time to see and experience vietnamese culture. Nhatrang is the best set up more any romantic encounter. What's the weather like now in Vn? I'm heading there in a few weeks. I'm going to be near Nhatrang with in 15-20 minutes. All of the perfume in VN is copy crap. The VN gals really appreciate the genuine stuff. Tommy goes down well with the younger ones. I often buy the miniatures duty free (Lancolme, Lopez etc) and hand them out as gifts in the office and in the bars.

I first went there about March 2007 and the fare has been VND120,000 one way all that time. Gets very full on Sunday afternoon from Vung Tau.
Thnx for the info on vung tau. The BBSs mentioned that are on le loi st in vung tao that give BJs for 100,000 dong.- is that CIM? Also, what are age/quality of girls.

i caught the hydrofoil (140000 dong) to vt on tuesday afternoon. wandered round the town a bit, pretty dead but at least the fresh sea air was nice after the pollution of saigon. ended up in a cheap dingy hotel on back beach. xe om driver pointed out a 'karaoke' bar that had 'good' girls at 129 d hoang hoa tham, the main road between back & front beaches. after entering a karaoke room a guy asks if you want a girl. he bought in a satisfactory looking thing. he said 500k i said 300 he said ok, too quickly, i guess it should of been cheaper, 200 maybe.

I would not be surprised if this were a permanent price hike. Everything else in VN has gone up and the ferries have been extremely busy so they could afford to put the price up and scare a few marginal customers off. Still a cheap ride.

Just a suggestion because I don't know for sure. There is a Le Lai street in Vung Tau as well as Le Loi. Maybe the original poster had it wrong.

The way to get to Hue is to fly there from either Hanoi or HCMC. Tickets cost much less when purchased inside Vietnam than when bought outside the country. I have no idea what plan B would be - other than doing tourist stuff in Vietnam, or heading to Thailand or Hong Kong.

There's this one big night club there called New Phuong Dong on Dong Da st. There are lots of pros there, 50 or so to choose from. There are also other bar or expat hang outs there which I do not know too much about like Bamboo Bar, Red Hot. Red Hot stays open pretty late, till 4am or so.
If you go another 30km south, you will hit the very touristy ancient town of Hoi An.
There's nothing going on in the north until you hit Ha Noi which is about 700km away.

Thanks also to 2041 for the flight info. Shall I assume that buses, trains, ferries are out of the question? Looking at a map, Hue is almost in the middle of HCMC and Hanaoi, so it is quite far.

Don't know the name of it, but there is a Massage/ Karaoke place in the back of a hotel on Nguyen Thien Thuat near Biet Thu St. Can't miss it, HUGE sings guiding you into the back. Very nice inside. You go up to a lounge and have free fruit and drink. When things were ready, they came to get me. I ordered the VIP room, 100K to the house. Nice, clean, personal belongings inside room. No locker. There is a large bath and some type of a single person hot water bath too. Anyway, the young lady bathes you, (name Kim #2). Got on the table. Very good massage actually. She starts to tease my dong on the flip. Negotiate 200K for HJ only, no extras. Nice rub and tug, towel placed on side to cover. I had full roam of everything, finger inside her, could not remove clothing. Came. Massage more, then jump into the hot bath, then the warm bath. It was there that I squirted her with the water, had some fun. Kim took very good care of me, wiping my entire body dry and even cleaned my ears. She was available to meet after. This by far was the nicest place with the best atmosphere I have experienced in Nha Trang. The mamasan is a fun, mid 30's girl who knows decent English. If I only had time to go to one place, this would definitely be it. Tried out the Green Hotel (06 Hung Vuong), (90K to the house). As suggested by another experienced monger, I tried to get the upper hand on the negotiation. As soon as the girl walked in, (had no choice in the matter) I motioned BBBJ. She said $50. I chuckled a bit and told her 200K. We went back and forth and settled on 300K.
About a 5/10 and would rather another body, but had the best attitude. So I stuck with her. I get up on the table, facing up and she starts rubbing me down the goes straight to work doing BBBJ / HJ. Nice technique, nothing over the top though. I had full roam of her and finger inside, but could not remove her clothing all the way. When I was about to cum, she started to point down to her gem. A while back, I went into this Thai Massage place on Tran Quang Khai st near the beach. Was ok. 70K to the house then get to the sauna then massage. Girl didn't want to do anything there, but said $50 for FS up stairs. I didn't partake, but was available though. A little down the street on the right side, there is a small cat toc place that has a black sign that advertises facial masks such as Carrot and Cucumber mask. I was just walking by, made eye contact with the girl and she said 200K for a BJ. Hmm tempting, but I didn't. There is also a Massage / Sauna a little further down on Tran Quang and the corner of Hung Vuong, across the street from the coffee shop. I stopped in there and got the hint and vib there are extras available. I didn't partake. Don't waste your time with the massage / spa place a couple doors down, immediately across from the coffee shop. Something like "Best" or another 4 letter word. Totally legit, decent massage.
There are also tons of "Foot Massage" places around Hung Vuong. They are a waste of time and money. A very rushed, HJ / BJ in a dirty place (the sheets were always very filthy), plus they use the oil on you for the body massage and have no shower to wash it off. Most girls weren't the best lookers and all I experienced had poor customer service. I went to a few thinking they had to be better than the last. Usually 60K to the house and 150K for the HJ, Plus all the moaning and pissing for "another one", more tip, or "you are cheap". They should be happy with what they get. YMMV
I did scope out a VERY promising street though. I don't have a map, but there is a street on the back side of the Olympic stadium. This street ends at the round about with the Maximart. Just off the main Tran Phu st, take the diagonal road by the Nha Trang lodge. It is near here. There is a street that is almost wall to wall Cat Tocs and one Sauna/Massage place with a man standing out front bidding you to come in. I don't know when I will make it back to Nha Trang, but will provide better addresses at that time.
If any of the more experienced mongers have good tips on massage places or the street above I mentioned, I would like to glean from their wisdom.

Asia Paradise Hotel / Massage 06 Biet Thu Street
Looked promising on the outside, so went in. Don't go into the hotel, but through the motorcycle parking area. You will be escorted by security or someone. I decided to go for the Works. VIP room, foot and body massage, 2 hrs. Nice atmosphere. In the VIP room, you keep all your belongings with you. I had met another foreigner getting naked in the rather open locker area. We both felt very uncomfortable about our forced greeting by the staff at the counter.
I was then led to my room fully clothed, so I guess the lockers were for the standard rooms. Someone came in and drew the large bath for me and told me to go into the sauna. After about 15mins, my very cute young masseuse came in and told me to take a bath. I was hoping this is where things would heat up, but didn't.
She came in very shy and told me to dry off. First was the foot massage. We were flirting the whole time. Then came the body massage. I was able to feel a lot of her, but had to be under her clothes. I was trying every trick I knew to at least give me a HJ. She was scared to death and kept looking at the window. She finally came around the side so that I could finger her. Wow, she was soaking wet. Still very scared of management.
She was trying to hook up after 12pm when she got off work. Gave me her number and said $50 for FS. I never did.
Nice place, good massage, relaxed atmosphere, great attitude, not rushed. But, as was mentioned in a previous post. "What is the point of a massage without a release? " YMMV.

I was in Phan Thiet in February of this year, right after Tet. On the main drag, where all the resort hotels are is at least 3 massage parlors, all on the north side of the street. I am sorry, but I went there with my wife and her two sisters, so I didn't get to sample any of the services. However, seeing as Phan Thiet is a high-tourist area, I am sure that money talks, as always. The funny thing is, Phan Thiet at that time was filled mostly with Russian, Korean and Australian tourists. I only saw one other American there besides me. The good news is, the restaurants have great food, and it is more than reasonalby priced. The four of us ate buffet breakfasts at a restaurant called Ngoc Suong. The Buffet is really great, and they even have bacon and eggs available for breakfast.
From Ngoc Suong, when you come out their front door, you look left down the street, and the massage parlors are about 1 kilometer down that street, all no the north side, or other side of the street. So go, and give us a report, because, sure as shootin, next February, I will be back there, and sure as hell, I will not miss it that time! LOL
