Just thought I'd post my findings on this beautiful city from my trip there last month. Turns out our hobby is illegal in SA, so you won't find any brothels here. But as with any city, there are numerous providers available, you just have to look harder.
There are a few strip clubs in the city. I visited a couple near the Rundle Mall, but I think I was a bit early. It was Tue/Wed between 9-10pm, and things were just getting started. Not much excitement
The yellow pages had several escort ads, I called a few but the prices quoted were rather high for my wallet. AU$300-AU$500 range. It appeared that a single agency had multiple ads, because the same person seemed to answer when I called different numbers.
Your best bet is to get a copy of the local paper, the Advertiser. Your hotel should have a copy. In the classifieds section, there was almost a full page of personal ads - almost all of them are providers. I called a few of them, and all were available and would provide the services I was looking for. Both incall and outcall were available, as well as a varied selection of nationalities.
I visited one on Prospect road, about a 10 min drive north of the city. Wed night around 11pm. There were 5 women working, all Asians, 3 were available. I live in Adelaide and know the entire scene and prices. First of all if you wantn around a 15 - 30 minute session don't pay any more than $75. There are cheaper places!! Secondly, you said you won't find any brothels here. I know for a fact that this city has so freaking many in every suburb that you could go around every day and still not experience all of them. You are correct when you said check the back of the newspapers, that's a good start. I'm not really sure what you were getting onto with strip clubs in the city. There is Crazy Horse and 108 lounge on Hindley street but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to bribe your way into a root with these stripper ladies. If you were able to it'd be very very expensive many hundreds of dollars, and you might as well find a model on the street and do the same. There is another strip club on Hindley called the Palace which is very expensive and serves cognac and stuff. The baisc patten is Torrens road to Hanson, turn right, Hanson to Grand Junction, turn right, Grand Junction to SOuth Road. Cross South and take the next left into the industrial estate. You will see a Truck Stop there. All along this route you can find some action with Hanson Road, Grand Junction and the truck stop the most likely. Recently stumbled across 2 places along prospect road.
One is at 329 Prospect Road and the other is 444 Prospect Road.

The phone number is advertised in the Adelaide Advertiser but I just rocked up.
Once you go in ask how many girls are on. You can then make a choice if there is more that one on. I was shown into a waiting room and after a short wait I was ushered into one of the private rooms. (they all have showers) A few minutes later a girl came in and gave me a price for 30 mins.

As promised, this is a report of my SW findings. It's a little late as things have been crazy since returning from my trip. As my memory is fading, I will try and recall as much as I can. This post is a mix of random thoughts and a bit of a guide for those not familiar with Adelaide. Hope this assists.
Some general info.
There is no 'hot spot' area for sex workers, however brothels are more concentrated in the CBD and just around it. Driving around is no hassle and you could easily browse through 2 or 3 establishments in half an hour. Adelaide has a reputation for being a bit cheaper than the rest of Australia for sex workers, which is a good thing but I think that contributes to lower quality and service.
If you are just visiting I can recommend a brothel mentioned in earlier posts called studio 207 (CBD, Currie st). They have a website which is actually useful, and my experiences there have been relatively positive. One hr will set you back $200. Some brothels charge a little less, like CC's in Hindmarsh but the girls there are boring and depressing in comparison.
The asian places in Adelaide are at the 'low end' when compared to NSW or Vic. You can get lucky finding a young hottie during the uni break as they come down from interstate, but because they move so frequently I can't recommend any places.

I recommend you start a search here and then go to the AE website and read the SA forum. The two complement each other, with cracker having the listings and the AE forum offering semi-reviews and great intel in general.
There is the local news paper, the Advertiser which has close to 2/3 a page of listing under 'adult services' in the classified section. Both independents and brothels advertise here. The ads will give scant info so you will need to do a bit of ringing if you want to shop around.

Some final thoughts.
While Adelaide has great looking girls, the SW will mostly disappoint if you take them on face value. You will frequently get false descriptions, details and pictures and generally a restricted service.
