Re The Splash Club

I was at the Splash Club in April. Was a saturday night, quite a selection of ladies. Ranging from 6-9 in looks, most seemed personable. I sat at the bar for awhile and chatted with Linda the Manager for awhile and soon found that most of the ladies were coming around and hanging out at the bar, even after I had met all of them. There was NO pressure to choose, in fact I sat and had 3 beers before deciding.

I can't remember the name of the one I chose, she was short, blonde, big tits and a lot of fun! The prices were comparable to The Kennsington, with the exception of the hot-tub room, it was $40 more....but, worth every penny. I am not sure if this is always the case, but I got to spend close to 2 hours in the room with her. I began to wonder if they had forgotten about us.

It started with the hot tub, where she got in with me, washed me and washed some parts more than others....from there she dried me.....and took me to the bed......out came a condom, got head, many positions and finished. After laying there for a few minutes talking, out came another condom and we did it all over again. Anyway thank god for Viagra, we did it 3 times in that 2 hour span, I tipped her an extra $20, she was well worth it. Like I said, I thought the time in there was never going to end. I am not sure if it was just a fluke, or if you get extra time for the hottub room....

If the service was the consistent to what I got, I would say that The Splash Club is the best club in Wellington, possibly the best on the North Island. However, I have had great experiences at both the Pelican Club and Emily's in Aukland. I would rate The Kennsington right behind The Splash Club.

CJ's seemed like a nice place, but a bit pricy and they wouldn't describe the ladies over the phone, said to come in instead. When I showed up, they insisted I pay before I saw anyone that was working......that is a big no no in my book. I never pay before I see what I am renting. The Manager on duty was a bit snippy. I had gone to CJ's right before I went to The Splash Club.

I took your advice WorldTraveller and visited the splash club on courtney place.

I must agree that it is intend the classiest 'gentlemens establishment' in wellington (that i've seen at least), it is however a little more expensive than the kensington, which is also a quality place. (Splash club is $160 for one hour, or $140 for 45 mins, Kensington is $140/hr).

Walking in is a little daunting, given the location in the middle of courtney place, it's not quite as discreet as the other parlours in town but once through the front door the stairs are around the corner, so theres not too much to worry about. There is no at the door entry fee, you just walk on up, and you can buy drinks (moderately expensive) at the fairly well stocked bar in the lounge before selecting your girl, (or leaving without spending anything if nobody takes your fancy). I did notice there was a little pressure to either buy drinks or select a girl, more so than at the kensington, but after all, that is what you're there for. This does mean you may be spending time in the lounge when there are other men around, personally i don't have a problem with that, but reading some of the other message boards i see thats something that some people here don't like, so keep that in mind if that applies to you... although you can choose a girl straight away if you want.

When i visited there were around 6 girls in the lounge, all fairly attractive, As WorldTraveller has noted below, they tend to hang around the bar, (at least a couple of them did), and were genuinely talkative. Once you have had a drink or two to settle down and selected the girl you want, just ask the manager and she'll take care of the financials, then its off to a room. The rooms are nice and in good condition (to be expected as the splash club is a relatively new establishment), the rooms contain their own showers which is a plus if you don't like the general shower rooms in places like the kensington/fleur de lys etc.

The girl i selected was Victoria, an attractive, curvy brunette (I like curves, but for those of you who don't, there is plenty of selection at the splash club), She was very relaxing to be around, no stress, and interesting to talk to (She's planning some IT education in the near future, and she has a good interest in greek/roman mythology etc.. All in all, a step above the usual conversation one expects in such a place).. in fact, after pretty much joining me in the shower (a remarkably good icebreaker :) we spent a sizable amount of my hour talking before getting down to business, The sex wasn't anything too fancy, but it was completely enjoyable and i enjoyed the time i spent with Victoria, (both the sex and the talking).

$160 is reasonably steep for an hour at a massage parlour, but i left feeling it was money fairly well spent.. unlike some places, where even at significantly lower rates, you can leave feeling a little (or a lot) ripped off. I would recommend the splash club as a must visit for anyone looking for a quality time, I certainly intend to visit there again (Once i save enough, it might be good value, but $160 is still a sizeable wack out of the wallet).

Sorry.....I didn't remember it being more than the Kennsington....I wonder if they raised prices? I did remember paying extra for the jacuzzi room......

It is a little odd walking in off the street with all the bright lights, however, if you feel more comfortable, you can enter into the club next door, then make a fast left and you end up in the same stairway.

I felt it was one of the best places I visited in Wellington.

The night I visited the Splash Club I also went to 3 other places.....The Splash club definately stood out in front of the other 3. The others were Kennsington, Fluer De Lys, The Oasis. The Oasis was a pretty bad place.....but I only spent 20 mins there so it didn't matter too much.

Sorry, but my experiences in Wellington were too long ago, and I was not really devoting much time to making notes - my mind was on other things...

I honestly can't give you any reliable answers now, I just threw in my 2 cents worth of memories from Wellington to try to kick some action into the forum.

I can say though, that I would choose the Quarry Inn over the place by the town hall. I wonder if it is the same as the one you visited though - up a staircase beside some gallery or something (at the time).

Well, over the time since i last posted, i've visited Splash club and the kensington again, and visited la mirage for the first (and only!) time.

For my second visit to the splash club i selected Belinda, She was in fine shape, with fairly short dark hair, She was easy going and relaxing to be with and conversational, we spent a good hour with together, and she was fun and lively for the entire hour, she was also in truely good shape (ie she looked just as good after taking her clothes off) which can sadly be said of only a limited number of the girls at these establishments. $160 well spent.

A few weeks later at the kensington, i hung around and had a few drinks for a while talking to some of the girls before selecting a new girl there, I can't remember her name off the top of my head, but she was blond and in fairly good shape, she was moderately slim but in a fit 'outdoors' way rather than being a wraith, She was also definately worth the money spent and i enjoyed my hour with her, another $140 well spent.

Most recently i visited la mirage on vivian street... Now this place is one of those where you walk up and pay your money at the door, no bar to relax and buy some drinks etc, Definately not my style.. I should have given it a miss, but i decided to see what they were like, and i selected Stacey, a halfways chunky european chick for an hour for $140. After my shower and retiring to the room for a brief, and lacklustre, massage, we continued on to other things, she was particularly 'non-proactive' requiring me to initiate everything, and her attitute was appalling, we barely said ten words during the entire time and you had a definate 'clinical, lets get this over with' feeling, not very impressed, i walked away wishing i had my $140 back in my pocket and a hour back in my life.

All in all, i was not impressed with my experience at la mirage and i think will stick to the gentlemans clubs where i have the opportunity to buy some drinks and relax with the ladies, does anyone know of anywhere aside from the kensington & the splash club that provides this? (I noticed the gateway inn down on cambridge terrace, does anyone know anything about their arrangements or prices or quality?)

I highly recommend the splash club (8/10 - 9/10) and the kensington (6/10 - 8/10) (depending on the girl), the splash clubs prices are a little on the steep side at $160 for an hour, but you definately get what you pay for, and i think it's worth the extra money over the 'cheaper' establishments in town.

I've only had the single experience now at la mirage but i severely doubt i'll be going back for more, at $140 for the hours experience it's in the same price bracket as considerably better places with much better selections of girls, save your money and spend it elsewhere gentlemen.

So far from the posts below is looks like we've got a bit of a consensus that pay before you see (Fleur de lys, Oasis,CJ's, La Mirage) is definately worth walking away from, Personally i find the gentlemans club/Bar type establishments to be a distinct cut above, they allow you to relax, get to know the girls and made relaxed decision on who you would like to spend some time with, if you don't find anyone you like you can just walk out.

I live in Wellington,in my opinion there are only two parlors worth going to.
1: The Quarry Inn, located in Seaview is by far my choice, they always have a good selection of girls and always friendly.
the price is $130 cash for the hour in-call,$140 out-call anywhere
in wellington. Well worth it.

2: The Kensington Inn, located in wellington is just as good, the same owner of the Quarry Inn, a good selection of girls, because it is in the CBD it is $140 in-call and $150 out-call.

I have'nt been to the Splash club yet but have heard good things about it.
Personally I would give the others a miss, I have been to nearly every parlor around town and the girls are there to make their money and you can feel that, at least the ones I've mentioned they make you feel welcome and you dont mind spending.
They have been my choice for the last 5 years.

As of the end of 2001, I would rate Bill Crowe's Oriental bay place as one of the most interesting brothel type establishment in the world. (I have seen a few....) It is located in a grand old house that borders on mansion status, on great grounds above the Bay. Well made red velvet wallpaper in the living room, etc. The place is a bit tough to find (bring a good map if on your own), but worth it. I have forgotten the address but it is in the phone book.

One of the rooms is on a separate floor and has a giant hot-tub, as I recall.

Having a drink at the bar and getting to know Bill was great. He lives there and runs the place. He is a very interesting man, very friendly if you take the chance to get to know him, and quite a character -- a former big band leader from that era and since then a long term activist for legalized prostitution. He defended his establishment in Court for many years and has saved a lot of newspaper articles on that subject. He seems to have known everyone in town, one way or another. He is quite discreet about clients, of course.

I would say there were 4 to 6 women working there the times I visited, but I was there at slow times and understand that bigger numbers are available at time. Some of them looked quite hot and proved quite friendly, I might add.

All in all, it seemed a cut nicer than competing places, even the Kennsington, without any increase in price.

Had some interesting experience lately.

Thanks to the good people at WSG, I've decided to experience the mermaid, Kinston¡¦s, happy inn, quarry inn, Bill crowns place and some private ones(not on the same day. Over 3 month period). Here is what I've found:

The mermaid:
Good selection of ladies, although bit overweight. But perhaps I was in at the wrong time. (9 pm)

I do feel a bit of pressure from the management, they are trying to get you decide and vacant the sofa ASAP in sort of nice way. But it was acceptable, and understandable.

I picked a Chinese lady, nice figure and youthful. Had a really good time with her. Good 160 dollar and 45 mins spent.

I¡¦ve visited the new Happy Inn on hutt road. The entire duration of my stay was about 3 mins. The place looks more like a gangster¡¦s hideout. There are only about 4 Maori / Thai ladies around and the best was about 3-4 over 10.

I think the manager might be Thai, which was one of the other reason I ran out.

Don¡¦t know the price coz I left before asking, but don¡¦t think it¡¦d be too expensive. Overall rating: not my type.

Bill's place is on top of my choice list. It gives you an antique feel inside as if time was frozen in the 60-70s. It is bit hard to find on the bay you may want to bring a map. And don't even think about parking unless you go in a very quite time. It is the BAY we talking about.

It is a 2 story building with the reception/bar/lounge in level 2. You ring the bell and someone will show your way around.

Usually I will start describing the girls by now but Bill is just a very pleasant guy, offered me free beer on my first visit (even though I did not chose any lady that visit). Chatted with me about everything. No pressure at all.

There is the most time about 6 / 7 girls working at a time. At least 3 girls I rate 7 or 8 out of 10. I chose one Chinese and it was fine, although 150 for credit card is bit expensive but cash should save me at least 10. The rooms aren't exactly 5 stars but it is an antique house and I wasn't there to stay so.

Overall highly recommended. Good selection if go in the right time, same price level with more personal touch, no pressure at all which is important for ppl like me.

It sounds like you made it to Crowe's but did not ring the doorbell! I can understand how that happened. The place is unmarked, it looks like a regular home or mansion, and it is in a residential neighborhood. I could have given a clear report on the arrival procedure and will try to do so now.

As of Dec. 2001: No booking for Crowe's was required, except that they are closed Sunday unless you have an appointment. I rang the doorbell, asked it if was Bill Crowe's house, and someone quite attractive came down and let me in. I met Bill (worth a trip in and of itself) and had a no pressure drink and chat. Seeing the red-velvet interior of this mansion turned bordello was also worth a trip, to a Hobby Fan, although I doubt many will agree with me on that. And - of course - I was introduced to the ladies 'on duty.' There were some lookers, by my recollection, but specific memories fade.

I was told the pricing, which as I recall was standard for the better Wellington places, despite the far more interesting environment. Take a look around -- the downstairs room is like its own suite, with hot tub or jacuzzi.

I do not recall the color of the building but it was on the uphill side of the rather windy street; the doorbell is by a gate in a solid wall facing the street. Once passing through, you have to climb quite a few steps to get from the street to the front door. But if you have the address from a current phone book you cannot miss.

Yes, Wellington has become very expensive. If you are willing to spend that sort of money I would suggest that you go to CJ's on Victoria street.

The quality of the girls are as good as, if not better than Splash club and the whole place is lot more relaxed.

When I last visited there I went through with Kelly and Mandy. They were about 7 in looks but when we got through to the room it was all on. Being the crazy fool that I am I booked a bi-double (very expensive - over $500). The two girls were going at together and were more than happy to let me join in.

There was plenty of DATY, CBJ and FS. An hour flew by!

Hello everyone, it's been a long time since my last post.

I have been in town today, checked out several places around CBD and although I came home still loaded. Here is some interesting report:

My first stop was that private advertise “19 yrs old friendly Japanese girl”, When I called I was told that there were only 2 girls there. The time was Sunday night, and the street was dead quiet.

Here's some notes I made while on my trip a few weeks ago:

Strip Clubs:

Mermaid Bar:

I read about the Mermaid bar on-line and decided to pay it a visit. It is associated with the Splash Club (a brothel) and is located on Courtenay. The cover charge was 18$ and mixed drives with 8$ each. This as the other strip clubs in town give you change in 2$ bills of their own design, so you spend it at the club (when you leave the club you can asked to ‘cash out’ and get real $, although I’ve never seen it happen.)

The bar is definitely the most upscale bar in Wellington, the girls were pretty good many 7-8, an occasional 9 and 5-6 as well. The place was very ‘happening’ every time I visited. A slight bit of touching is allowed, however not much outside of the private lap dances (where almost anything goes for touching – no insertion).

Most of the girls did not hustle you too much for $, however a couple were more aggressive. Private dances ranged from 30-110 $ depending on the length. (3 songs 15min for 65$).

On any given night they had 7-10 girls working, so it was a good mix. However a good number were Hungarian and had poor English, and they didn’t have many Asians.

Santa Fe Strip Club:

The Santa Fe club is more down market then the Mermaid Bar, but it was much more casual and fun. Cover charge was 18$ and drinks were 6$ (although VERY watered down). The club itself is not as flashy as Mermaid and has seen better times, but it was big and the girls really worked hard. You never felt crowded. They also have a wide collection of sofas on the flour to relax in.

The girls ranged from a ok 5-6 to lots of 7,8,9s. And they really work it, coming off stage and grinding you. The few times I was there, there were always ladies joining you on the sofas and were gems to talk to. The ladies were mainly NZ, with a few Asians thrown in.

At Santa Fe, as long as you didn’t touch under the g-string you could touch the ladies all over during the dances. And these girls really worked it hard.

The private dances are done in an area just off the dance floor with wicker screens separating. Dances cost 20 for 1 song or 50 for 3 songs. While no insertion is allowed, ANYTHING else goes.

Overall a very casual club, and not full of the ‘in crowd’. A definite ‘do again’.

Liks Strip Club:

Liks is located on Vivian St and Cuba. And I have to say I did not get a chance to go there on the busy weekend, so YMMV. Liks had a 20$ cover charge and drinks were 6$ each (although the ‘bar’ was more of a small table with bottles, then a full bar). When I arrived there was only 1 other customer and 5 working girls. The girls ranged from 3-4 to a 7-8. There was a good mix of blondes, brunettes, and 1 (very cute) Thai. Once the girls got going, it was obvious they start with more clothes during their routines then at the other clubs. Typically the system as the clubs is 3 songs, song #1 – in bottoms and g-string and skimpy top, song #2 – they lose the top and in song #3 they lose the bottoms and at the end of song #3 they lose the g-string. Although I did get luck as as more people came 2 of the dancers got private dances so one dancer stayed naked for 1 1/5 songs, and wow did she work it.

Generally the girls at Liks are personable and work the floor well, very similar to Santa Fe. But given the extra cover, the poor bar, and lack of girls, I’d probably stay away on the weeknights.

Lipstick Massage Parlor:

Lipstick is a bar / massage parlor on Wakefield. I ventured in and after being quoted the prices (120 30 min, 160 1 hr) I asked to have a look at the ladies 1st. Boy am I glad I did, there were 5 ladies there and the skinniest one was maybe 160#. The cutest had pieced lip, eye brow, and good curves. But I didn’t want that much meat so I said ‘Maybe later’ and left. I did get the impression that ‘looking before paying’ wasn’t normally done.

CJs Massage / Spa (on Victoria):

I stopped by to check rates and found the place to be in fairly decent shape. The prices were 140 and 180$ (30 min and 60 min). The hostess said they had 5-8 girls there in the evenings, starting after 8:30.

Splash Club:

Splash Club is a high class place. It’s located above mermaids and had really nice hostess and lounge area. I just stopped buy to check things out, so I cannot comment on the service. But rates were 160 for 30 min and 200 for 1 hr. They do advertise a good selection of ladies, and some with specialties. They were going to call me if any ladies met my ‘special kink needs’, but never returned my call.

Fleur de Lay:

Couple of weeks ago I thought I'd try Fleur de Lys on Victoria St.

Happy inn is located on Hutt road, Thorndon - This is the road that runs parrallel to the motorway as you drive out of wellington. Happy Inn is identified only by the street number in large letters on the outside of the building, open the door at the front, walk up one flight of stairs and push the door bell to enter.

On entering there are a number of woman sitting in the main sitting room and the manager will call in any others that are available from the 'staff room', the prices are posted clearly on the wall and are probably the best available in wellington.

This is not a 'gentlemans club' where you can sit down and have a drink while you make your decision (like the kensington) but there is no undue pressure and you get a good opportunity to evaluate the options (which are generally good, about 50% are asian)

Upon choosing a girl you are taken to one of the rooms and invited to take a shower, the shower is located down the hall and it is possible to run into other punters while walking back along the corrider, so beware if that bothers you.

I've visted Happy Inn a number of times over the past few months, probably every couple of weeks on average, choosing a different girl each time.

I've generally gone for 45 minutes at $100, although i have also tried a 2 girl 45 minutes for around $180, the prices are generally good value, the only potentially cheaper place i have experienced was asian haven, and there seemed to be less selection available there and my one experience there was not the best i have ever experienced (too clinical)

I don't think contact details for Bill's is particularly secret - it's listed in the Yellow Pages (Bill Crowe Gentlemens Retreat - medium sized ad under Massage Parlours), and in the White Pages. Hi All,

Recently tried the Kensington Inn at it's new location on Victoria St. It's been there for just over a month. It has a 'K' logo outside now, but you can also see the glue where they used to have massive letters saying 'Kensington Inn' on the outside of the building - since taken down at the request of the punters.

Anyway, plenty of offstreet parking, but it's on a pretty busy road now.

Being recently moved, the premises do look pretty good. Downstairs is a reception area, and a bar area with a few couches to sit down with your drink at chat to the ladies. Quite smartly decorated, and a reasonably well stocked bar.

Rate card for cash is $160/hour, $140/40mins, $125/30mins, however they have a 'Summer Sizzler' special which is $100/30mins. If you wanted to pay by card (even EFTPOS) it was an extra $5 or $10, and the special was cash only.

I visited on a Tuesday afternoon, and was told there were 4 women available, although in the 5-10 minutes I waited I only met two of them.

I don't exactly recall the name of the woman I picked, I think it may have been Kaye/Kate or something like that, but I don't remember seeing that name in the ads, so I could be wrong. In any case, she was part Maori, early 30s, a few small prison(?) tattoos. I'm no good on sizes, but she was thin (but not too thin), small breasts, perhaps a 7 on looks. Was down in Wellington recently, and checked out a couple of places.

Went firstly to the Splash Club on a Friday night. Nice place, modern, comfortable, lots of room in the lounge, nice sofas. Was sitting there for maybe an hour, talked to a few of them, saw about seven or eight girls, all not bad looking actually. None however really tickled my fancy. The thing that really annoyed me though was the management, who bascially after an hour, came up to me and said that if I wasn't going through, then I'd have to leave. This I thought was extremely rude, and this has NEVER happened to me in Auckland. Sometimes it's good to wait around for an hour or so, as girls that may have been busy before come back into the lounge. Needless to say, I definately wasn't going to part with any money at the Splash Club after the rude treatment I got from them.

Hi people,,

Had my first experience at Bill's on a quiet Monday night recently. Have heard about the place for years but never put my toe in the water. Every cab driver knows where it is.

The style of the place is quite classical but a little tired and showing it's age. Bill is a real old school gentleman with some very interesting stories.

Only two girl available on arrival, and I chose Donna - half Thai/HKG.

Paid by credit card $170 for an hour. Donna was good GFE allowed daty, but no anal or kissing, and all oral/intercourse covered.

It is probably worth checking when paying when the clock starts, as we showered seperatley, and just make it clear that it's when you're both in the room post shower, and also check how many releases in the hour - it should be two. Minor matters that were/can be easily clarified.

In the last few months i've made a few visits to some wellington establishments.

1) Club K (Rebranded kensington in new location) - After relaxing with a drink and talking to patrons and girls for about an hour $160 (no pressure to choose a girl), I eventually went upstairs with a 5-6 Blond, a little plump but not unattractive. The room was quite nice with a medieval theme and a shower in the room, unfortunately the hot water was on the fritz so i had a completely cold shower (apparently they have had some ongoing problems with the gas supply in the new location) The girl (i can never remember the names, but she was wearing a lime green dress) was competent but uninspiring and she didn't kiss which is a serious shortcoming for me, all in all, it was passable, but not really worth my money. (4/10)

2) Asian Haven, visited near midnight on a sunday, about the only place in town open. I used to travel alot but as I have recently changed jobs this has been curtailed. I did however visit Wellington recently and have the following comments to make:

1) CJ's

I am curious to identify which agencies in the Wellington area are connected to others.

For instance, Il-Bordello and Splash Club (along with The Mermaid bar) are owned by the same people. This means that ladies that are available at one place may also be available at the other.

Likewise, it seems that Kensington Inn and Quarry Inn have common ownership.
