Thai immigration uses the terms "visa on arrival" and "visa exemption" and I don't know what to call the stamp one gets when one is from the US, Canada, the UK, etc. And just shows up without a visa. It used to be for 30 days.
If you really don't want those stamps in your passport, I suppose you could fly into Penang. Then, after you've received the Malaysian visa, continue on to Bangkok by air or train. Then, after your week in paradise, return to Malaysia to fly home. After you're back home, remove the page of your passport with the Thai entry and exit stamps. It will appear to your wife that you've spent a week in Malaysia. Of course, you now will have a mutilated passport and that may not do you much good. It might make more sense to just lose your passport before your wife can scrutinize it.

1) When you visit, you get two rubber stamps in your Passport. One on arrival and the other on departure.
The departure stamp shows the date and in small letters around the edge of stamp it says "Suvarnabhumi Airport Thailand".
The Arrival stamp varies but it WILL say Thailand in English. If your port of entry is Bangkok, there is NO way around this. Your passport will get stamped.
If you get lucky, sometimes the stamp is not clear and hard to read. But you cannot depend on this happening due to MURPHYS LAW.
2) You may not like this, but this is what my friend did: When he returned from his trip, he "lost" his Passport.

A better idea is NOT to hide the fact you are visiting Thailand. You have to come up with a good excuse: conference, business meeting or friends marriage.

1. In many (European) countries, one can legally hold two valid passports, e. G. People intending to travel to Israel and Iran.
2. After your mongering trip, destroy your passport and apply for a new one. Don't forget to make an official statement at the police station. Until some years ago, you could safely "lose" your passport, get a new, "clean" one and use the old one for mongering until it expired. I strongly advise that, too much NSA around nowadays.
3. The newest version Thai Tourist visa I got last week, is not a whole page stamp, but just a large sticker, which you can peel off (like the VOAs for Cambodia and Indonesia). What remains to be explained to your prying SO are the small but dated entry and exit stamps.
4. Just tell your wife you went to Thailand to get another wife.

You might be able to avoid the visa sticker but you won't be able to avoid the rubber stamps.
So the only solution to hide this trip is to lose your passport and request a new one upon return to India.

They are only recognizable for the Thai immigration staff. If the same goes for Malaysia and other surrounding country land borders then it is the safest way for you to cross into Thailand with the least amount of evidence in your passport. Fly into Malaysia, or Singapore amd then cross the borders by land. However most South East Asian countries boarding Thailand either garner the same reputation as Thailand in a woman's eyes or at least will harbour some suspicion. Any unnecessary travel without the spouse.

Honestly, you really do need to invest a bit more time and effort in the training of your girls.
