In fact, you can take the MRT or skytrain (BTS) to most places you will want to visit. I would recommend staying on Sukhumvit for the street life or somewhere on the river if you like beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Ratchadapisek is where Nataree and Poseidon are, but I don't recommend that you stay there.I've never seen a Russian or an eastern European at Nataree or New Cleopatra. I have heard, however, that you can find them at CM2 in the Novotel Hotel or in the Grace Hotel. I've never tried one myself, since I like East Asians, and Thai women are among the best in that category.The only other ethnic group in Bangkok that I've seen in any quantity are Burmese. I really liked them, but it was hard for me to tell the difference between Thai and the Burmese who live near the Thai border, since they're of similar origin and their language is similar.
