Just speculation on my part. From what I gather, most of the oilies fall in the same class, no place that's really a standout in all regards. They keep operating with only minimal improvements and upkeep. When new places open up, they setup like all the other places. Fresh paint, newer furniture, but still business as usual.
What I'm suggesting is, if someone opened a better class of oily, something opulent and extravagant, then brought in only the best talent and insisted on top notch performance, all at a higher rate, it would revitalize that sector. Some of the existing oilies would continue as usual, but they would be unable to raise prices. Some oilies would remodel, make changes and try to compete. Isn't that what happened with the gogos several years ago? It just took 1 or 2 and suddenly there were a dozen.They're probably all owned by the same owner. It's probably about 2-3 actual owners with various managers who appear to be the owner but aren't, or have to pay some poo yai. These places all collude to not compete. That's why they are all run-down, as nobody will renovate so the others don't' have to either.
Absolutely correct. I was there a few weeks ago and I noticed the mad rush for drinks. I spent quite a bit of money one night without realizing it. They could have padded my bill as well. Became very careful about how much I spend in GoGo bars after that. The gogos, like Crazy House, offer a variety of entertainment options. The most obvious is to sit and drink while watching naked and semi-naked girls dance around. It has Dream Heaven, an oillie massage shop with inclusive prices for full service (about 2100 baht). Soi 33 is, IMO, better than Soi Cowboy. It's nothing comparable as it is just an ordinary enough sukh soi, but it has good food, hotels, a few obviously dirty massage shops and some beer bars with ladies. It's a chill place with better prices.
Also definitely check out the oillies that are massed up together on soi 24/1.

It's been awhile since my last trip to bKK, almost a year now I think. I've just returned home where I'm writing this FR. Since I believe 99% of BKK has already been covered on these pages I write for entertainment purposes only. It's been awhile since my last trip to bKK, almost a year now I think. I've just returned home where I'm writing this FR. Since I believe 99% of BKK has already been covered on these pages I write for entertainment purposes only. Because of a recommendation on rockitreports.com I wanted to try this place. It is on Soi 24 near Emporium with Addict, EZ1, Pink and Mango nearby.

I have been in Thailand (Bangkok, Pattaya, Jomtien, Bangsaen) many times in May or June. It is likely there will be some rain every day, but it usually does not last long. During such downpour Beach Road will empty, but once the rain is over the girls will be back.
"Low season" does not really seem to influence the number of girls available and even if half of them should magically disappear, you will still be spoiled for choice.

Mid-week around the 11 am mark. As I am "addicted" to Addict, I decided to give the competition a chance by walking in to the Addict sub-Soi from the South end, where other shops could lead me into temptation.

This is my MO. I try to get into swampy in the afternoon, I take the airport link into the main station on Suk (which I have forgotten the name of) and change onto the skytrain.
