I would not say it's a place to avoid, it all depends on the girl you meet. Girls change shops often, I once saw a former Addict girl in their line-up, some girls from Boss massage went to work in Otemachi shop some from Yoremichi went in Bamboo.

Not sure what fellow mongerer's experience has been but I have noticed a recent hike in the expected tip at the massage places in the alley between soi 11 and 13 Sukhumvit. Not so long ago I would get massage fee plus 1,000 baht for FS = 1,300-1,400. Once or twice I even got the whole thing for 1,000. But now they are asking for 2,000 tip.
When I was asked for 2,000 on the way into one of these joints, I just left and they did not try to call me back even though I walked out slowly. They mentioned that they have to pay for the place. But for me, I can get an hour at Bamboo on just the other side of Sukhumvit on soi 8 for 1,900 all in where the facilities are much better. Proper bed, good quality shower and better privacy.
In the couple of other places I tried, I also experienced the ask starting at 2,000 when I was already into the massage. I eventually coughed 1,500 including massage cost each time.
I got the impression that the word is out that all punters in all these massage places should pay 2,000 and it seems to be coming from the owners (or maybe there is just one owner of all the places who charges rent or one ahem officer who has to be paid). But however it is, the price is a bit steep for what you get.

The freelancers appear to be from bottom of barrel when it comes to looks and bodies. Peff.Why waste time with airport train? Just get a taxi direct, no mucking around. 20 mins to Tarawadee by taxi, most likely, and a bit more to some other venues. The return from Tarawadee to airport could take a lot longer, if heavy traffic. Important tip. Do not catch a taxi right at Tarawadee to go to the airport. The first is that Tarawadee has a reputation for not being very farang-friendly and the second is that the selection is likely to be very limited in the early afternoon. Reminds me of Nataree in some ways. Actually I never got a great vibe from most Nataree girls in the past too. Many were highly controlled and money for the session not going to them, instead going to the manager. I really dislike Rama 9 since it has so many lanes and confusion of ramps up and down to the motorway. Amsterdam, Long Beech and Utopia were the nearer Soapies I used to use. Most of the others seemed to be a waste of time, excepting maybe Noar, which might be easier to access by travelling up Ekkamai road.

The main purpose of all the shops you mention should be for sex. There are no shops around that are perfect in every sense. The biggest problem for me at most shops is unappealing girls. I probably annoy a few shops on my shop surveys when failing to pick a girl.
Several of times I departed Can Cam without choosing a girl, especially when my desired girl was absent, no big deal, and sure website is in Japanese, also no big deal. You have Google Translate. LOL. Does not discourage me in the slightest. If the guy ever made any comments in Japanese it's water off a duck's back to me. I would not understand. Wanted B02 at Emannuelle. 2500 baht. She was absent. Collected phone number to be able to check another days. Most web sites list wrong phone numbers for Emannuelle.

Next Stop The Lord. Level R girls are 4800 Baht. Sorry they are not good looking enough. Level O 5400. Still not pretty enough. Level M. Level K. Now two girls are quite pretty but not as good as K35 who is missing. The price is ridiculous now around 7 K forget. Please be aware, that the stunners never sit for long and could easily have been taken just 10 minutes earlier. It is 8 pm but I have seen larger line ups.

Merci. Known by Thais as Maxi. S22 was the standout girl at 2800 baht. I would have taken her but she was pre booked and trying to hide so I would not select her.
Walked to Poseidon. Quite a good sized line up on ground floor. Different to years earlier where had to go upstairs.
Only 3 girls had acceptable noses for me but a large line up for guys not concerned about noses. The 3 with good nirmal nises were either too fat or too ordinary.
Models upstairs started at 4200 but did not see any pretty enough to warrant the prices.
Copa Cabana has changed a lot. Line up too small and starts too pricey. Malibu has gone.
Finally looked in La Belle at 9 pm. Girls with letter P were well over 4 k proce but not good enough and very few left. It was too late.
Next time to look for a good value girl might go to Meree or Nancy where prices start much lower.
For higher priced girls, I keep thinking I could get a better price on Smooci and get a full two hours booking.
Clearly the Soapy world was for me 20 years ago but not anymore due to my hate of the weird nose jobs. Makes it so tough when a such a small percentage of the lookers have a natural nose. Strangely shaped tits don't excite me as well.

Those prices are ridiculous. Are these girls 2 or 3 times better looking than the best Thermae girls? If so, which would be the best place for my tastes (ie. Korean and Japanese pop star look)?
In the case of Cheer, I probably would have chosen her from the sit-down line-up I got at Bamboo even if I hadn't read any of the generally very positive reviews I'd read about her on these sites. She was clearly the most smiley, perky and interested one in the group, really seemed to want me to choose her vs the rather dull demeanor of the other girls at the time. Actually, she wasn't even in the lineup when I arrived. I think that "New" was the one that the mamasan wanted me to take and I had to look around the room before I found Cheer and she was sort of moving around in the back. If I didn't know any better I would have said she didn't want to be chosen!
