I would like to share my great experience I had a Massage 102 during an 8 HR transit I had in Bangkok few days ago. I visited Emmanuelle about 10 days ago and La Belle last Wednesday night. I also visited Mitu about 2 weeks ago. I had a varying good time in all three. There may well be some clubs in Thaniya who allow farangs entry but from my experience the majority do not. Those that do will find their older traditional minded Japanese clientele going elsewhere.
That said my feeling is that this mindset is changing and now a significant number of the mostly younger lads head to Baccara Crazy Horse et al for their manko.

In the late 90's and early 00's it was packed most nights. Towards the mid 00's as the number of well paid Japanese expats declined (actually the numbers of well paid expats from all nations declined) business in Thaniya started to fall off and you began to see some of the gals migrate to Thermae and the Siam Hotel Coffee Shop on Pheburi Road (now defunct). I encountered quite a few gals starting about 04 who had quite Thaniya due to lack of business. Japanese residents and tourist began to visit these places as opposed to the high priced Thaniya, where I would imagine costs used to be expensed to companies. When the Siam Coffee Shop closed the transition from there to Thermae was made.

I am on the last 2 days of my 6 week 2018 visit to LOS. Fortunately I am heading to Jakarta next so the good times will continue. But while I was in BKK, I visited 3 soapies; Mitu (a hybrid oily-soapy), Emmanuelle, and La Belle.

You tell me of another shop in BKK offering similar quality and service without the tax and I will check it out next time I am in BKK. Until then, I will continue to do business with these mother fucking cats because I like what they have on the menu and in every other way that matters I am treated well.
Once upon a time, 4 or 5 years ago, I had a discussion with one of the hosts on this very issue. My point to him was that I as a repeat customer should not be charged more since they knew me and knew I always treated the girls right and always behaved properly. It did no good. I was treated to a course of circular Thai logic. But, I believe that at one time the tax served a purpose in discouraging low budget whites from coming in, but now with so few farangs in town, I see little purpose in it. It just exists. I am with you on this. If something I want is openly "on the menu" to me so to speak, then they are at least providing me a means and option to choose it and pay the upcharge or not. I feel the same way about the so-called "ass tax", where there is an additional 500 baht charge for anal when some customers think that ought to be included in the basic price. Unless it can be proven that farangs DO get some kind of special treatment behind closed doors that non fatangs do not.

Not sure why Chinese Americans get excluded from the surcharge tax, but could relate to style of dress, lack of body odour etc.
