Nice place, cleaner than Lima as far as I am concerned. I went there for a few days, went to a few places and found a few clubs, not to many though. There are a few on a place called Mariscal Castilla, the chicks aren't up front but you have to start the conversation and the path is cleared. Some of the girls don't do that but most do. Most girls do only dancing from what I saw. I don't know if it is like Lima because i told some of the girls to hook up outside the club for which I gave them a phone number. We contacted and I hooked up with a few, the prices range between 100 soles to 150 soles, depending on the body and the service. As far as brothels or chongos as they are called, there are a lot but you have to ask the locals or a taxi driver, the taxi drivers know all those places. I went with some friends, there a lot of brothels in miraflores, there is this place run by this old lady called " la Gringa " , most of the girls are young ( over 18 ) at this local, on the other places they have a few young chicks but a lot of all ladies mixed with young ones. In Miraflores there are a lot chongos all it has to be done is walk and most of the time there some people outside smoking sometimes. There are some near the private University Catolica, some of the girls are from the University itself, good looking chicks, but some of those places are a bit pricier because they have rooms with showers and stuff like that, these places are more secure and the chicks look cleaner and safer. The prices range between 60 soles to 150 soles depending on the chongo and the chick too. You can go to Plaza de Armas and look for freelancers but be careful because as with Lima you are ti find a lots of dudes dressed as girls . Also, try some of the local clubs at the " Centro " which is how the center of the city is called where all the stores, clubs, banks, and everything is. There are a few clubs near Plaza de Armas, there are a lot of chicks on the clubs and some may want to go screw with you for free, that isn't out of the ordinary but just be careful always.

I agree with ElKarl that Arequipa is a very nice place to spend time.
Mariscal Castilla street, mentioned in ElKarl's post, is a 3 Sol cab ride, maybe a mile northeast from Plaza de Armas. Club Amanecer appears to be the best known club on that street. It gets rolling around 10 p.m. or later and goes very late into the night. 3 Sol entrance, 5 Sol large beers for men, 10 Sol beer for women of which the lady gets 4 Sols on a commission ticket system. Private rooms for 15 minutes apparently cost 15 soles for the house and I was quoted 65 soles additional for a very pretty woman in that room. Too high in my view for 15 minutes pretty much regardless of services. I did not even negotiate so I cannot comment on whether prices are negotiable or what is included.
Club Africa (next door to Amanecer) was one scary dive when I walked in. I walked right back out. Maybe it was too early, but I doubt it picks up much. I was not immediately sure that everyone dressed as a female was born female. Other reports would be interesting, for all I know it is the best joint in town.
There is a row of fairly seedy clubs on Parra, South of the center, no entrance fee and 25 Sols for a pitcher of beer and a semi-private booth with a girl where touching is apparently standard procedure. I think the girl gets 10 or 12 sols per 25 Sol pitcher and selling the beer was clearly the point. How much touching is allowed I do not know.
El Molino, 327 Calle Villalba in the center, a half block from the Puente Grau bridge, may be a better option if you have money. The club is entered by going down a ramp one floor below street level. The only signage is a set of colored neon sticks. No entrance fee (at least mid-week). Steep alcohol prices (10 soles for a small beer). The place has a good reputation but was pretty dead on Monday and Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. Apparently weekends are hotter. Per manager, women will leave for 1.5 hours at a time, you have to arrange a hotel. I assume they can take care of finding a hotel.
I do not have any direct information on El Molino prices for 'services' or for bar fines, and I did not try to leave with anyone. I have heard that the place has a reputation for being expensive (by local standards) and having very good looking women.
Further reports would be interesting. I was not 'hobbying' and simply provide such information as I have. Not much has been posted on Arequipa even though it is Peru's second largest city.
I did see any action on or near Plaza de Armas and find that part of ElKarl's message surprising.

I'm in Arequipa. First off, I had the travel agency at Las Palmas book a room for me before I went. It was 20 bucks a night, I paid 3 nights in advance. I got there and it was a hostel. I left my stuff there and found a hotel 3 blocks away for 25 bucks a night...for a suite. I decided to eat the 60 bucks I paid and move to the other hotel.
The streets are definitely hopping here and I just stopped to send an e-mail home. If you haven't been here before this is an amazing city. I expected something like Lima but they have some fantastic buildings here.
I´ll let you know how I do tonight, there is definitely opportunity here. There are so many places to go, I don't know where to start.

What can I say about Arequipa? I can say I'm getting the hell out of here. They have some wonderful sights here but I wasn't here for the sights.
1. Discotecas - Forget it! The way the buildings are structured here. Everything is dark. No windows, no ventilation. My allergies went crazy last night. I went to five last night, 4 of them were so dark that the waitress had to shine a flashlight on my menu for me to read it. All of the girls were "escorted" and the men don't look as wimpy as the guys in Miraflores, Baranco or San Isidro in Lima. The only good discoteca was on Calle San Francisco about 2 blocks from the Plaza De Armas. It had a 12 Soles cover charge and had a different class of people there. Lots of single women there only one paid me the slightest bit of attention.
2. The streets - I walked the streets alone from 2-4 AM last night. The streets are dangerous but I was determined to find action. First off - If you don't know how to walk the streets in a city forget it. I'm not going to explain to you how to do it, you know it or you don't. I spoke to about 10-15 people last night as I was walking (I got a little lost). Everyone I met that I told I was from the United States told me the streets were dangerous and I needed a cab. The people that I told I was from Kingston, Jamaica said nothing, just gave me directions. I was nervous but not scared, it seemed there were taxis passing me every 30 seconds to a minute. It would take that long for someone to catch up to me if they wanted to rob me. Anyway, there is a Calle Jerusalen that changes to San Juan De Dios. If you walk down that street there are three hostals/brothels on the street. You will know because a woman will stand in doorway and invite you to come in.
Brothel/Hostal #1 - 15 soles to enter. About 7 women 2 transvestites that were all far homlier than the ugliest woman that I screwed in Lima. 75 soles to screw. They all should have paid me.
Brothel/Hostal #2 - Free to enter 3 women all ugly. I left. They looked offended.
Brothel/Hostal #3 - 5 soles to enter, about 10 women, one was doable she wanted 60. Almost went for it, she smiled, missing teeth , I left.
These are all in a row and weren't worth going to. There was a strip club that I passed when I was trying to find a discoteca and there were 3 extremely hot women outside trying to coerce people in. I noted where it was but was never able to find it again (the streets here are really confusing).
3. Other stuff. I had a horrible time speaking and understanding people here. After being in Lima for a week, I had no problem talking to people (maybe they dumb down their Spanish in Lima for the tourists). I know that in Spanish there are a million ways to say the same thing but I had the worst time figuring at what they wanted. A good example is that I went to a discoteca and the guy stopped me at the door and said "pagare". I said okay how much? He shot me the dirtiest look. I have no idea what he was trying to get across but he was not going to let me in. Oh well.
I'm leaving tonight to Lima again, I'm going to tour the sights and the leave at 8:30.

I did a pretty thorough canvassing of Arequipa last night (a Friday) -- and I'm sorry to say that this place has no decent action.
I started out (about 11 p.m.) going to Queens. 10 soles entrance fee, 50 soles bar fine if you leave with a girl, no beds on site.
The place had about 10 very average girls working there. They alll quoted 200 soles for sex, and were firm about CBJ. Whatever. What a joke.
Left with a cool Aussie and we decided to check out Molino's -- back closer to Plaza de Armas. We rolled in there at about 12 a.m., and the place was a graveyard. Huh.
Decided, from here, to take the plunge and scour the low-ball, native Peruvian clubs on Calle de Jesus.
Started out with what is supposedly the best, Africa. No entrance fee, drinks a little pricey, cabins (more like booths) on site for sex at 15 soles -- with the girls pretty much wanting 70 soles for sex. Again, BBBJ was impossible from every girl I talked to. WTF?
Next, went to Kankan Club (I think that's how they spelled it) continuing down Calle de Jesus after gong around a few trash (yes, trash) barricades. There's a better (or bigger, at least) club next door with no name. Same as Africas: no entrance fee, no cuties, no BBBJ. Blah.
There's another club a few doors down -- Cinderella's, I think -- which we did not go into. Expect more of the same.
Plenty of cabs around here -- and as you take the cab door-to-door, safety issues aren't that relevant.
Looked for SWs EVERYWHERE and found none. Zip. Zilch. Blah.

Sorry this is a bit late. It is a continuation of my trip from the Lima section. Thought I would provide a more comprehensive update of the scene in the 'White City'. As b4, all prices are in NS.
Arrived on the morning of Sat 13/11/04. My hotel was Hostal Las Torres de Ugarte on Calle Ugarte, behind the Santa Catalina Convent. Pretty decent location and the staff were excellent. It was also the most chica-friendly place I stayed in anywhere in Peru. Anyway, went sightseeing around the lovely city. Asked taxi drivers as usual about the scene. They all seemed to say that there was street action around San Juan de Dios as reported previously. I arranged with one guy to pick me up around 5pm for a cruise about. Whilst there were quite a few girls (mainly young) stood on the streets he circuited (sorry don't know the names), v. few wanted to leave their place and go to a hotel. They had rooms where they were standing. It also became pretty clear that the police were feared and they would run away as soon as there was a sighting. This is strictly prohibited in the city. Talked to plenty of nice girls who agreed to the services I required for around 50-60. Anyway, after a couple of hours he suggested trying calling an advert. As I wanted a mature lady it all came down to one girl. It took ages to find her hotel and even then she was rather largish and insisted on 60. She was happy to do anal and allow me to shave her, oral both ways too. Or so I thought. I think her name started with M and she was in her early 30's. She had dark hair and a really indigenous look. She said she was from Chiclayo.
No probs getting her into my place. In the room she was refused to let me shave her. Going down on her was ok and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't do BBBJ. Anyway, it was at one of the houses on Pierola that I had noticed this older looking, light-skinned, oriental looking lady. She was quite hard to get hold of due to the police. Wehen I finally got to speak to her she was ok to go to my hotel. However, she would not accept less than 70 for the whole songsheet. Yet again no probs getting her into the hotel. Says she was 30 with kids and is from the southern costa. Had a shower but also refused to shave down there. Oral on her was satisfying from what I remember. She also refused to do BBBJ in the end but technique was ok. No probs licking balls etc. Sex and anal were a dream at least. Even allowed a facial (only girl I managed this with in Peru). A good experience but I wasn't satisfied.
After dinner I went out to Pierola again. This time at the opposite house I saw this really skinny, young looking thing. She was ok to go too. Crazily she agreed to do the lot for 30!! She said she was from the Selva. Got her back but then she wouldn't let me go down on her. She gave me fantastic covered oral with this weird throat technique. We agreed the whole lot for 30 but would have to be done there. Was a little apprehensive. Anyway, to cut a long story short went to a dodgy room. It only then transpired that 'she' was actually a pre-op transexual!! The room setup had the entrance with a curtain on your right. Behind the curtain was a chair and then the bed. I was advised to put my clothes on the chair. It was as I got the main shock that I noticed someone hiding behind the curtain and they quickly disappeared. It was obvious that the idea was to rifle through my clothes from behind the curtain. Needless to say I was out there like a shot. Must have been really desperate as I actually walked back onto Pierola and back to the place where I had picked up the last girl. There were still a couple out even though by now it was well past eleven. I started talking to this short, fuller figured young girl who I recall was from Arequipa. She agreed to everything for 60 I think for an hour. I then realised that I didn't have as much cash as I thought. Definitely called it a night.
Next day was Mon 15/11 and my last in this lovely city. Didn't think I was gonna get to see another girl as my flight was at 2.30pm. Also had quite a bit of sightseeing to do too. Anyway, eventually I ended up being able to find a window between the Mummy Museum and Santa Catalina at about 10.30am. Wasn't sure if the street scene was in action at that time. Got a taxi down there and sure enough there were girls outside the bordellos on Pierola. One of the girls caught my eye. She was reasonably well-built and fairly light skinned with long, dark hair. Looked early 20's. Seemed pleasant enough as we talked. She agreed to it all for 60 (this includes the room fee). Turns out she is midwife student of 22 from Arequipa. Only been doing this a few months. Her body was exquisite and her pussy lovely. She really enjoyed the oral and came excitedly and v. juicily. I can't remember if she did BBBJ but it was pleasant. Arequipa, lovely city, friendly people, beautiful and willing chickas... but dont let your guard down. I was jumped and robbed by a very proffessional crew in a taxi last night. Had enjoyed a great day with two lovely university students. After they went home, went for dinner on Ave Delores where there are about 20 plus small bars, 8 discos, and a few restaurants; danced for a while and decided to check out Calle de Jesus again after having had a good time there last night. Picked a cab parked on the street, rather than my usual practice of getting one thats driving bye, still was a telephone cab, with a licence all looked safe. Was quoted two soles in English (should have been warning bell no 2 as the regular fare around town is S2.50). Sitting up front chatting away in broken Spanish, when the taxi starts to slow down and before you can say boo, one guy is through the front window and onto my lap and two more through the back doors hands around my eyes and throat, a fourth joins in the back and punches me a few times. Have always decided that if I get jumped i will not fight back, just give up the money and hope to get out without being stabbed or shot. No words other than ´silencio´spoken by one of the men in the back, the taxi driver takes off and drives for what seems like 10 minutes. Then have my body is frisked all my money, wallet and camera taken and I am dumped in a dodgy outer suburb, after a couple of final punches my hotel key and empty wallet are thrown at me and the taxi roars off down the dark street.
Still in shock I knock on a lighted doorway and after a few minutes managed to persuade the owner to call the police who turn up about 20 mins later. Statements, interviews with regular and tourist police and eventually back to hotel. The police say i´m lucky in that I only lost some cash, a few hundred soles, and didnt get knifed or shot. My guard was only down ever so slightly after having taken 20 or so v friendly taxis in the previous couple of days and met some great people but thats all it took... thinking of another sexy chicka, rather than focusing 100% on safety.
Apart from that Arequipa is a great city to have fun in.

This board is really quiet! Is it because few of us are visiting Arequipa, or because there is nothing worth to report? I visited Peru earlier this year and spent a couple days in the White City, here are some observations I made.
I spent most of my time doing sightseeing, and the remaining time I devoted to walking through the streets and chatting to some girls. I am an average looking guy but my Spanish is fluent. There was a pretty girl working in a store that caught my eye, I asked her when her lunch break was and we went to a cafe. Another girl I talked to was sitting on Plaza de Armas in early evening with her girlfriend, I asked them if they knew a nice cafe somewhere nearby. They both immediately jumped up and said they would accompany me there "to make sure I didn´t get lost"! These girls were around 20 and university students. I had great conversations with them, they were very pretty (7-9) but unlike women in my home country they didn´t have the least bit of attitude. However, they seemed under 24hr surveillance by their parents. For example, while I was sitting in the cafe with girl#1 her phone rings and it is her mother asking where she was. When I asked the girl if I could invite her to dinner she said her parents will not allow her. Another girl said she needed to ask her parents if she can go out, so she phoned home and got a "no" from her mum. Of course this could have been a polite way of telling me that they don´t want to go out with me, but they told me that they hardly ever go out in the evening, and I know that many of the good girls in these countries are "chicas de la casa" who return home after work or school and stay home for the evening, so I assume what they told was the truth. Really a pity - these girls were beautiful and so nice!
On the pro side, I went to Los Molinos one evening. Very convenient if you stay at Las Torres de Ugarte, only a 5 minute walk around the corner! A bit difficult to find the place, no signs, only stairs leading down to a huge gate. But if you have difficulties finding it, just ask at any of the shops nearby, they can tell you! There was no cover charge, the place was empty, only 3 girls (around 5-6) sitting there, no other customers except me. I started talking to one of the girls, she was from Iquitos, a pretty face but a bit shortish and also a few pounds too much for my taste. But she was nice and gave me the lowdown on the place: some time ago Los Molinos had been one of the best addresses in town with 15-20 chicas working there, but it was closed and re-opened a couple times, which pissed off the regular customers. So now only few customers are going here. I asked how much it would be to take a girl: a 40 soles bar fine, plus the girl itself, which would be anything from 120-180 soles for "regular customers" up to 100 USD for "ejecutivos" who probably put this on their company travel expense sheet. She also told me there are britcheras in Arequipa, just like in Cuzco. They can be found at places like Forum, Deja Vu and Brujas. Didn´t have time to check it out, would be interesting to hear from others if they met any and what experiences they made. I probably would have taken the girl home even if she was not exactly my type because she was nice and we connected well, but I had to get up very early the next morning to catch a flight so I went home alone. By the way, drinks are not expensive there, a beer was 5s and a rum 10s.
So far my Arequipa experiences, good luck to everybody going there and don´t miss the Colca Canyon, it is awesome!

i read your report when you first posted it and wanted to thank you, but did not have time. i especially liked your reference to "chicas de la casa", and i am sure they wanted to go out with you, but could not. actually in my experiences here in lima it is the same. during the day you meet the most sweetest and beautiful girls and at night they vanish. i actually have a friend of my wife's that is very pretty/speaks english/sweet as pie and a virgin at 32! she has a good job and studies at night and never has the opportunity to meet anyone.
i also have two twin 17 y/o sisters in law, that are absolute knockouts that have never had a boyfriend. my mother in law does not let them leave the house after 5pm unless they are with me. i always joke with my wife that when they change the laws down here, so that you can marry twins, i am going to leave her.
britcheras can be found in all the tourist cities here in peru. although it is more a cusco thing.
i hope to oneday soon visit the "white city" and colca canyon, condors are amazing to watch. here in lima my apartment overlooks the pacific ocean and
i have actually seen a caggle (if geese are a gaggle) of condors playing with the parapenters off the cliffs by parque amour.

i had the oppurtunity to visit this beautiful city a few weeks ago. although it is the second largest city in peru, it still has that small city feeling. i arrived by bus at about midnite and went directly to the plaza de armas to find my hotel. if you are visiting arequippa i would highly recomend this hostal. (arequipa suites plaza www.asuitesplaza.com) it is right in the plaza de armas (ask for a room facing front) and only $21.00 a night including a good continental breakfast at their cafe overlooking the plaza.
when i awoke it was a beautiful crisp day and to see snow topped misti (active volcano) in the background is just a incredible sight. the dryness in the air, crisp weather and mountains in the background made me feel like i was in a sa version of breckinridge, co.
at midnite on a weekday the plaza de armas was completely deserted, but as this was a non mongering trip, i could just wait for my return to lima.
this is a very sprawling city but the important city sights can be covered in one day. there are alot of tour companies offering trekking to misti and the colca canyon and reservations are not needed. as i like to keep a fair distance from volcano's, i instead went to see colca canyon.
breathtaking is the only way to describe it. i regularly see condors in miraflores, but to see them in their normal habitat was truly amazing.
there are some great bars/pubs for picking up the non-pros but not alot of pro action in city center. while not like lima, there are banos turkos rep001tered around.
the main bar area's are located on santa catalina and san francisco a couple of blocks from the plaza. there is a great irish pub in that cobblestone alley that runs between them. this is definetly a restaurant town and the arequipa specialities are great. make sure you try the alpaca filet mignon and papas relleno. i also went to a turkish restaurant on san francisco called "el turko" wich was very good about $30 for dinner for two and a few cocaine sours.
really cute waitress as were most of the girls i saw. i always preferred the northern types but was quite suprised with southern peru with the exception of that chilean freckled look which i do not care for.
i asked the waitress if there were alot of turks living in arequippa as i had passed at least 7 mediterean restaurants. she laughed and said there was only one and he owned all the restaurants.
i felt pretty lucky arriving back in lima after 15 hours on a bus. my trip was bookended by two earthquakes and two bus accidents and i will probably stay off busses in the future!

Was in Arequipa for some time last year - fine city, good food...and some happy hunting!
A bit of Britchera action in Deja-vu and other places close by (On calle San Francisco - right in the centre), but it's not Cuzco.
The waitresses at the restaurants right on the plaza always seem to have a string of gringos on the go, a couple are friendly with the Britcheras (they all know who they are!). They are pretty much all at it to some extent, although you may have to work at them for a while...some are quite 'innocent' (although getting pretty much any one not currently 'attatched' out for a drink is easy) and others are downright dirty!
Never had problems taking chicks back to hostals/hotels.
Lots of girls on Cybercupido from Peru, found a couple that way before I went. Some elementary Spanish will get you a long way.
Outside the central few blocks of the centre, it's not safe after dark - particularly San Juan de Dios.
There are good hostales right in the centre of things on Santa Catalina and San Francisco, no need to stay out of the centre.
Definitely recommend Las Palmas to stay in Lima, got that tip off a Cuzco britchera on my first trip a few years ago! Right in the heart of the action...

Sometimes that is entirely possible. I am often torn between who is the ugliest - the mongers or some of the Chicas that are displayed on the forum! (See Club Medellin Columbia thread for some prize monger photos!) However, many Britcheras are quite stunning.
A Klingon is something that no matter how often you "wipe" you cannot get rid of them!!
For instance a good friend of LB's and (being presumptive) of mine had a Klingon who kept stalking him - trouble is her job equipped her with a 9mm pacifier! The problem has been such a nuisance in the regions' public health sectors that regional authorities are strongly considering implementing government regulated brothels to help curb the increasing rate of sexually transmitted diseases among clients and prostitutes.
Simon Balbuena, Mayor of Arequipa Province, indicated clandestine prostitution is growing at alarming rates in downtown Arequipa, especially near the Plaza de Armas.
According to Balbuena, citizens have expressed their discontent and worries regarding the situation and have urged authorities to take immediate action.

Although prostitution is legal in Peru, its strongly regulated nature is a deterrence to many in this dark industry.

I was recently In Arequipa, but was sick most of the time so I have a very limited update. I was only able to get up for one visit to one massage apartment. The good news is that there are dozens of ads for women, including several which list their addresses, in the Correro newspaper every day.
I checked out several addresses, but went for the building at 205 Santo Domingo. It turned out there were several massage places on the upper floors, but I went for the actual apartment advertised. The building is only about three blocks from the main plaza, and is open until about 7:30 PM, starting at around 0900 daily except Sundays. If you walk upstairs, you will see numerous offices with big signs in English saying "Massage. " Just walk in and start negotiating.
Price was 35 Soles for a complete massage. Meaning hand job included. I did not have enough time to do a complete investigation, but it seems Arequipa is in a pricing mode where the advertised prices are strictly for time with a woman. All services you want in addition are negotiated with the woman after you get together. Not a bad mode, but can be disconcerting if nor expected.
So I settled for the girl to be completely nude while massaging me, and got a full hour of company with happy ending for 85 Soles. That included mutual caressing of all parts, and after our price discussion, the girl was sooo nice.

Was in Arequipa a few weeks ago and check out 205 Santo Domingo are recommended below. Just go up to the 3rd or 4th floor. No appointment necessary. If anyone is going to stay in Arequipa, forget about Hostal Parra Inn. Last week, I was in Arequipa and went there to check out the offer. time, I will bring my own. A young guy ushered me into the lockers where you give him your street clothes and he puts them
in a locker and he keeps the key. On the same floor, there is a warm, but not hot, spa and a cool plunge. The next floor has
a very effective operating sauna and vapor or steam room with showers. However, the first thing you see is a lounge area
with a tv and a menu post for food and drinks. There was one gordita there at the time (i.e. little fattie) but not much else as
it was about 2pm. So I took a relaxing sauna and waited. Gradually the girls arrived and I counted in the neighborhood of
about ten to twelve chicas by about 5pm. They are open until 8:30pm. A few were cute with nice bodies, but most were a

Almost forgot to add a report on my January 2012 visit to Amanacer niteclub. This club is located in a rather shoddy part of town above central Arequipa. So I've been here about 3 weeks chilling out and still scoping out the scene. Arequipa (and Peru) is a well know place to go to eat! There are many good restaurants.

AS I mentioned in other posts, Peru is not the best place for this hobby. However, it is a great place to learn Spanish because the Peruvians talk so and are polite people, most of the time. And since Spanish lessons are also cheap here in Peru, I spent two weeks there recently taking advantage of just that. However, there is that special need I like to indulge myself in, hence I did the requisite exploration of the town.
There have been some questions about lodging and which hotels are "girl friendly" in many locations, to which I have always answered that "business class" hotels (you know, the one's where business travelers go and pay for it with the company card) aren't likely to give you any trouble. However, if you are asking these kind of questions here, it's hard to take you too seriously. This should be a non-issue. But, my experience here in Peru has revealed the preferred rendevous are simple, low-end hotels known as "hostals". That's right. H-o-s-t-A-l. No, that is not "hostel". Its Hostal with an "a". I mentioned that because some BM mentioned staying in a hostAl here in Peru and some clod chided him saying that he should be able to stay in a decent hotel, instead of a hostEl. Nowadays, those things known as "hostEls" tend to be overpriced privately owned and for profit, lodging with shared bedrooms for prices that often exceed your own apartment on AirBnB. I guess some hosts got savvy to the millennials need to have the "hostel" experience for which they would pay too much. It was a very different experience during my youth, traveling Europe and crashing in the standard IYHF hostels that offered spartan lodging and often a horrible breakfast with it for a few bucks. But, that was over 40 years ago.
So, the average room in a Peruvian "hostal" is pretty basic but has a private bath, cable TV and a phone. Amenities are few. So, bring your own soap and shampoo. But, they work fine for prostitutes, who routinely work out of them. I've gone into two different hostals where the girls were working, and nobody at the front desk batted an eye once I indicated which room I was going to. If the girls can work out of there, then you can bring them in, as well.
As far as actual hostals and lower end hotels where this takes place, I can point you to 3. Most recently, I visited a Peruana at Hotel San Lazaro, which is predictably located in San Lazaro, just north of the historical district at Avenida Juan de la Torre 179. The girl I met there was nothing special in the bed, but she wasn't charging very much, either. Usually, you get what you pay for. But, the room was surprisingly large with a queen bed. It was more of a MOTEL, though, with parking underneath and an open layout.
The other place that I caught my attention was HOSTAL Montana, at Av. La Paz 420, just east of the historical center. I walked past the place a few times, but never went inside. Various women I inquired with indicated this was their rendevous point. So, it is probably approaching the status of a cathouse. One girl offered me a 3-some at that locale, which makes me confidant she is working with other girls there. However, I was never able to coordinate an appointment or come to an agreement on services I expected. So, I never got a chance to check it out.

What surprised me this last visit, the average hourly price for an hour was done to 130 and half an hour was around 70-80. Note these prices are in Soles as of August 2023. Your mileage may vary and pricing will inevitably change, along with exchange rates.
Why the price decrease in a time of inflation? Who knows. But, I did find out from my Spanish teacher that Peru focuses on their micro-economy and are not as impacted by external economic events as other nations. Ecuador, their neighbor to the north, has been using US currency (yes, they use the dollar and US coins, as well) and thusly have been subject to the same inflation as the USA. My teacher also informed me that Peru currently has a LOWER level of poverty than Ecuador, which has lots of problems these days. And finally I must point out that at least half of the prostitutes advertising online are FOREIGN women. Colombianas are the biggest group next to Venezolanas. Though they are at the opposite end of the price range. If you like Colombianas, then stay in Colombia where they are cheaper and of course, much more abundant. Otherwise I noticed women from other parts of Latin America in Arequipa. A few from Argentina (expensive), Chile, Paraguay and even Cuba, Mexico and Honduras. No Brazileiras, though! Finally, I have notice the women here, regardless of nationality tend to post their as being in the 18-20 years range. Mature women usually go for much less. I am not sure if all these "young" women at actually that young. But, it's a bit strange when 90% of the women claim to be college age. Very different from Brazil where the most expensive women are mature, veteran GPS (though they usually have acquired a regular clientele and some legendary status in social media and the user forums.).
That said, you have choices in Arequipa, but even better choices in other parts of South America, when it comes to this hobby. But, if you are coming to Peru for educational, cultural or touristic purposes, you won't be disappointed. Hey, I enjoy sitting on a nice beach in Brazil as much as anyone. But, sometimes I feel the call of adventure from some other place than my crotch.
