Tirasopol is the capital of the "self proclaimed" republic of Transnistria.
They have a population of about 650,000 people, their own government, money, police, etc.
By bus it is about 1.5 hours from Kishinev. Crossing the border is easy for Moldovan and Transnistrian citizens, but can prove a nightmare for other passport holders, especially if the border guards see you are from the "West", and they want to try to get money from you.
Many girls advertise on dating sites (kiss.com, loveme.com, etc) and live in Tirasopol.
Do not attempt to go there to meet them! It is really the wild west there, and especially at the moment, the locals say another civil war is about to break out (between Moldova and Transnistria).
Make the initial contact by internet, fly to Kishinev, rent an apartment for about US$35 a day, and invite the girl to meet you in Kishinev.
Much more interesting for the girl, safer for you, and more fun for you both!
Living costs in Kishinev for you and the girl about US$25 a day, for lunch, dinner, drinks, etc.
Not so much to do or see in Kishinev ... but hey, you are not coming for the museums or art galleries I guess!

I was in Transnistria last year and everything was ok. That was a little adventure that I posted here. Just check the board around may / june 2003.
But for sure, you need a russian speaking guide to help you cross the border.
I read that situation is tense actualy, I will get a look in 2 weeks and will report if I was able to cross the border or not.
I think going by train would be the best way to cross, they're not going to stop all the train just to harrass you.

If you are an experienced traveller to these parts, you should have nothing to worry about right now.
However, when you talk to people in Transdnistria, you will see how they are getting very worried that another civil war could be about to break out.
Therefore, I think for most people, better to stay in Kishinev, which during the last war did not have any problems.

Meanwhile the peacekeeping troops take care on the romanian language teaching schools on th eastern part of Moldova and also the OSCE, based in Kishinew, is involved in this issue.
Times are over, when both parts of Europe have been lazy enough to look on Moldova, when such a crisis takes part.
Local people, who know the background about the so called conflict, donīt feel disturbed in any way. It is not very different to the time-to-time taking part of destroying mobil telephone networks from the Smirnow regime.

I think that last year Moldova stopped the possibility to call Transnistria from abroad. It was in october.
Do you have any infos about this ? I try to call a girl in Bendery, but it's not possible (she assures her phone number is the same).

I travelled there once, so I'm not an experienced traveller to Transnistria. Every piece of info is good to know.
The border of Prinistrovya is by far the most interesting I've ever seen, it's controlled directly by soldiers and armed weapons, so it gives the feeling of a thriller.
There are rumours going around that Prinistrovya posesses significant amounts of dangerous weapons, so even Russia is reluctant to interfere.
By the way, it's recognized by only Ukraine in the world, so the two countries have good relations to some extent.
My most adventurous trip has been by car from Kishinev through Tiraspol to Kiev with a Moldovan guy in mid winter.
Just before approaching the border after leaving Kishinev, we had to hide all our money in a special compartment in the car cause the soldiers at the border just hate to see euros or dollars and could keep you for hours.
After waiting for about half an hour, they gave me a seperate visa for Prinistrovya right there.
Passing through the Ukrainian border was also quite interesting, as the guys at the border were wondering what the hell I've been hanging around in Moldova and Prinistrovya by car!! They were totally shocked to see me heading for Kiev!

the still remaining weapons are the memory of russian troops. Russia agreed to move away all kinds of weapons till lately this year, but failed to keep this agreement contracted with international organisations.
Probably you remember, that it was General Lebed, who died 3 years ago in Siberia, who was the leader of russian troops during the civil war in the beginning of the 90ths.
Another special kind of story is, that some of the guns, used in the massacre in Beslan, came from Prinistrovya.
Well, the official organs in Chisinau would be worried to read, that the eastern part are issuing a kind of "visa" :-)
In fact crossing and staying in this infamous part of Moldova is nothing else than a question of bribery.
Having read several of your previous posts I am still a bit surprised about your extremely appreciating of the beautieness of east-moldovan girls. The overwhelming majority of the population there is russian/ukrainian with a minority of moldovans. Those slavic population worked there in soviet times in miltiary and political administration coming from all parts of the former USSR. So I donīt understand your laudatio, because the local girls in Prinistrovya are nothing else than the normal mixed population of Moscow or letīs say Ekaterinburg.

You could as well consider all girls from Russia, Moldova, Prinistrovya, Belarus and Ukraine as from the Soviet Union under the same category.
However, all of them have their own significant characteristics and different kinds of beauties, with the Belarussians, Moldovans and Prinistrovians as being the most remarkable.
If they were so alike, why would they speak all in different languages, with the differences in accents of even Moldovans and Prinistrovians speaking in Moldovan?
I've encountered Tiraspol girls in Northern Cyprus and Istanbul as well as in their homeland and I'm pretty sure what's so special about them.
Well I'm finally back in Moldova and I was in Transnistria 2 days ago.
The rules seem to have been changed to cross the border : all you need is to have a valid moldavian visa and if you stay less than 24h you can register at the border (before it was 3h).
It cost something like 7 lei, it's better to have transnistrian rubles to pay.
If you want to stay longer you have to register at the local police station near you live (like in Kishinev indeed).
Of course, speaking russian would greatly help, or you can do like me, come with a girl who translates for you.
I visited Tiraspol and Bendery and I was quite disapointed by the girls. We walked maybe 3 or 4 hours in Tiraspol streets and I saw just one really beautiful girl (9) at Sherrif supermarket.
Maybe they're working or at the university, I don't know ...
I will go several times there, and I will report if I see something interesting.
My friend told me about a disco / bar were there's some pro, I will ask the name next time.

My Bendery girl told me foreigners go there when they stay in Tiraspol. According to her, it's not really good.

By the way, Tiraspol girls go to Kishinev when they want money (I met one in a stripclub yesterday evening).

Anyone knows how to change on the black market in Transdnistre? I have been in Bendery two times but only changed officially. I want to buy the 40 year old cognac in the Kvint factory shop. But for less price. Please PM me if you know the black marked exchange rate and how to do. Especially in Bendery.
Tip of the day; Its about 1/3 of the price you pay in Chisinau! About half the price for more expensive bottles. (15 years and above)
If you havnt tried the Kvint cognac... Do it! Its good stuff not far from original french cognac. Im really surpries the commies can do that quality stuff! Buy atleast the 10 year old and if you can buy the Tiraspol, 15 years, you have an excellent brandy! As good as a french VSOP from Henessy or Martell! Can be good to have in your apartment 'cause the girls like it ;)

For your request about changing money in Tiraspol you can find it near or in the central market the money changer is like in Kishinev.
Yes the kvint is great quality and my favorite is 10 years old and I buy them in Dubasari ( transdnistrea)20 km from Kishinev.
The price is about 60 lie in Dubasari or Tiraspol and 163 in Kishinev. exact 1/3 price as you said.
I recently tried a moldovan wine which I can recommand to the guys who love wines the quality is like haut medo'c of france. full body and smoky with . The name of the wine is CARNELOVA. about 35 lie for regular and 100 for reserve selection. If you will try it you won't beleive the quality.

moldovan law definitly gives this opportunity.
regarding modovan cognac: best one is the SUVOROV from kvint. a decades old spirit with a cost of nearly $ 1000,- per bottle.

Apartment for overnight stays in Tiraspol?
I guess its possible to have real fun there and that getting a pro is really cheap.... So a big sex-party would be a good idea... wine, gognac some food and women.. Anyone fancy this idea? one or two men besides me and we get 10 girls for an evening.

It was really great to be in Moldova in August.. A slow start but in the end I got the wheels turning;)
Very nice and intersting to meet personalities like Essi and other forum members. Like a family! You learn a lot from those more experienced in the women of east Europe... And we had some crazy moments for sure Essi.... But its also a fact that times are getting harder.... Some say Moldova is already destryed like Romania is nowadays.... I partly agree... We hunters have to get more skilled...
You need more than one week to build some contacts! After that you can start to live like a king! Last day I dated a nice 22 year old blonde.. easliy and 7, maybe 8. After some sweet talking I got her to my apartment...
She went home about 22 a bit drunk on champagne and after some fun! Then I went to disco with date number two... Sweet blonde of 19, easliy an 8! Not to dishearten you , but I have to say the concensus amongst those of us who went to Tiraspol have to say that there seem to be no single women left!
I had been to 2 clubs one was called plazma and the other i can't remember. i did not see a single table that had chicks sitting alone as you normally would in startrack or nostalgie etc.
We also got some dangerous looks from people whe we tried to approach some of the chicks that WERE seeming to be alone.
Honestly i do not know what to say here, maybe it was just one of those noight but i fear not :(

I first came to Tiraspol in the summer of 2003; I was on the search for the poorest white russian speaking neighborhood (I have a competitive advantage from having learned Russian from my St-Petersbourg days 10 years ago and my subsequent (pretty good for about 4 years) mariage with my then local russian girlfriend). After reading "beating the Moldovans at tennis" (I'm a competitive player myself), the narrative was extremely appealing; dangerous, adventurous, "a shithole"... all that I was looking for was in Tiraspol :-))
It turns out to be a lovely quiet green "city" of about 150.000. Pace is soooo slow here, sometimes you would think you are set back 30 years in the old sovjet union. I now feel very comfortable and am not afraid of walking around at all, but I must say it was not so at the beginning.
I started correpondances through the well known marriage agencies as www.loveme.com and a refined search for all the tiraspol girls. From that, a first encounter brought me my first local girlfriend for about a month or two, but my objective was to "master the playground" with her help and then move to something "higher end"...
Working myself through various channels, the second time I came, I became a "celebrity" as national TV came to interview me at a point of contact. That is how EMPTY this place was still only three years ago. To make it to the news just for being a western guy interested in the place, it tells you where this place stood back then.
What a couple of years a difference make... Back then "two rooms" appartments were selling for about 7.000 $ in the center. As they now stand at about 450 $ /sq meter, it trippled in three years. I did not have much money back then, having only started a very lucrative London city job. After a couple of years and a nice severance package, I decided to move here and was domiciled here from April 2005. To contradict earlier reports a foreigner CAN BUY appartments. Houses are more difficult (though I concentrate on them now). I bought my first appartment (walking distance to the university :-)) back in february 2005 to anticipate my London exit.
The whole place is now BOOMING on the central avenue 25 octobre with prices rising "by the week"... for local commercial real estate.
How about this board's central theme... ok... back then it was "cheap" and very very easy. I once held a party with 30 18-21 aged girls at "cherry" all you can drink champagne (not the french one!!!), "marojne", and even a genuine bottle of amaretto... quite a memory for everyone and quite an impression I left. Price tag : 185$ for the evening. I loved it. I had a second local girlfriend by then and did not take any one from that party, but 70 % were available "on command"; when I read the post about the new Plazma etc, I can only say that it all depends on what you are looking for ... I am NOT interested in P4P and outside of a couple of massages in Vietnam earlier last year, that is as "far" as I get on that universe of girls. I am only interested in young (as in 18) innocent girls with no prior experiences preferably for a medium term relationship of a couple of years... actually after settling here, I decided to invest A LOT (> 500 hours) of time and energy to find an absolute perfect 10 on all fronts and marry again. As I put so much effort into it trhough various avenues, I ended up finding just that diamond, but by then I was soooo sure and happy that I ended up overbidding and that scared her away. I mean, for a girl with no previous flirting experience whatsoever having a guy twice her age making such a pushy overture became too much rather quickly. I had to "force" a commitment fast though, or risk losing my then steady girl with whom I still live close to Odessa on the black sea.

You will need to register (for free) and have some help from a russian speaking person to guide you through but I am very sure you will not be disapointed with what you will find and encounter. Scroll through the Bender girls as well...
Economics 101 : Pridnistrovia still has the lowest GDP/capita of the "white" world. That's a guarantee, but won't last another 5 years. What does it bring you? It immediately puts you "in play". What you need however is TIME and a local contact. I would recommend to start correspondances from marriage agencies and meet the girls here, until you are a bit more confident about the place. Also, you will need to REGISTER if you stay for more than 24 hours (Ul. Luxembourg, after 17h is better, less crowded). Either you stay at TIMOTY hotel (ask for manager Tatiana) for that and they will do it for you, or you must be accompanied/registered with a local resident for the length of your stay. REGISTER FOR LONGER (up to 45 days), if possible... one never knows.
I can answer most questions about the place as a help. On the real estate side however, I can put you in touch with a very knowledgeable girl and general guide, but it comes as a (cheap) paid consultation.
Places of interest :
- to eat : my favorite FARAON : On Ul. 25 Octobre right in from of the white parlement "Dom Sovjetov"; pelmeni not bad; english menu...
-Higher end is also "Evropa", but quite dead unless there s a banquet. english menu as well.
- In the summer : to eat : Eidelbergh on "centralne ploshet", a nice terrace with lot's of "foreigners/important people", hence here again english menu.
-dicso's : the well-known high end Plazma (not recommended). In the summer, my favorite is chaoc show in the parc. Boy two blonde girls are dancing there in their cages : a miracle to the eyes. I could have had a setup with one of them, but not my profile as I said. This disco supposably moves to "dom officier" in the winter on karla libnitsa Ul. A local favorite is "7 dien", but since it got renovated a couple fo months ago, it became less afordable for the students that used to go there and this seriously handicapped the women/men ratio. My favorite is still "cherry", BUT you must come accompanied as it can be dead in early evenings, and generally speaking, be VERY careful that a girl is not acccompanied before you make a move anywhere. Some people mention Scorpion, but I hate this old place. The restaurant Faraon becomes a disco later in the night with entrance fee and probably some working girls there.
IN BENDER (17 km), a new club opened whish I heard is quited good. Ecuador I think it is called. That would be recommendation number 1. Taxi will cost you about 8 $ at present rates.
- regular girls pick-up in the summer : NABERIJNA : from "centralne ploshet", walk to the Dniester and all the girls are there waiting for some action. Two foreigners of which one speaks decent russian is the best to score. Ask where some action is, and then invite them for whatever place they suggest. 50% response rate, I'd guess and from there it all depends on your charms (NOT money). What they want is the perspective of a long term steady relationship with a nice foreigner.
-real estate : send me private mail if interested for arrangements. I am now done with my purchases; some still are in "remont" or construction status, but I can let the crowd in on this one... without fearing losing out to competition.

I agree with you and thats what I heard from my friends who go there regular.
The only problem why I don't go there because of the danger in tiraspol and the police hassel.
Even I can get my own protection and my own relations there but I am happy in cishinau and even its easier in tiraspol to get freebies I prefer not to take the risk.
I was this summer in benderi and I have been stop by the policeman dicided that I drink alcohol (I didnt drink that day) he wanted to take me to the police station even I offered him 50 $.... so I had to use my contacts in tiraspol and make a phone call to the right person after 3 minutes a car came to the place where I was waiting came a car and the guy in the car look at the policeman in a very anger eyes, the policeman gave me back my documents with a shaking hands and told me go immidietly!!!!!! after 2 hours I passed again the same place and the policeman was planning to stop my car but when he recognize me he change his mind... ;-)
So this is transnistrea and I will never reccomend guys to go there if they don't know the right people just incase,,,,
In kishinev things are better and more safe compare to tiraspol.

It turns out to be a lovely quiet green "city" of about 150.000. Pace is soooo slow here, sometimes you would think you are set back 30 years in the old sovjet union. I now feel very comfortable and am not afraid of walking around at all, but I must say it was not so at the beginning.
I started correpondances through the well known marriage agencies as www.loveme.com and a refined search for all the tiraspol girls. From that, a first encounter brought me my first local girlfriend for about a month or two, but my objective was to "master the playground" with her help and then move to something "higher end"...
Working myself through various channels, the second time I came, I became a "celebrity" as national TV came to interview me at a point of contact. That is how EMPTY this place was still only three years ago. To make it to the news just for being a western guy interested in the place, it tells you where this place stood back then.
What a couple of years a difference make... Back then "two rooms" appartments were selling for about 7.000 $ in the center. As they now stand at about 450 $ /sq meter, it trippled in three years. I did not have much money back then, having only started a very lucrative London city job. After a couple of years and a nice severance package, I decided to move here and was domiciled here from April 2005. To contradict earlier reports a foreigner CAN BUY appartments. Houses are more difficult (though I concentrate on them now). I bought my first appartment (walking distance to the university :-)) back in february 2005 to anticipate my London exit.
The whole place is now BOOMING on the central avenue 25 octobre with prices rising "by the week"... for local commercial real estate.
How about this board's central theme... ok... back then it was "cheap" and very very easy. I once held a party with 30 18-21 aged girls at "cherry" all you can drink champagne (not the french one!!!), "marojne", and even a genuine bottle of amaretto... quite a memory for everyone and quite an impression I left. Price tag : 185$ for the evening. I loved it. I had a second local girlfriend by then and did not take any one from that party, but 70 % were available "on command"; when I read the post about the new Plazma etc, I can only say that it all depends on what you are looking for ... I am NOT interested in P4P and outside of a couple of massages in Vietnam earlier last year, that is as "far" as I get on that universe of girls. I am only interested in young (as in 18) innocent girls with no prior experiences preferably for a medium term relationship of a couple of years... actually after settling here, I decided to invest A LOT (> 500 hours) of time and energy to find an absolute perfect 10 on all fronts and marry again. As I put so much effort into it trhough various avenues, I ended up finding just that diamond, but by then I was soooo sure and happy that I ended up overbidding and that scared her away. I mean, for a girl with no previous flirting experience whatsoever having a guy twice her age making such a pushy overture became too much rather quickly. I had to "force" a commitment fast though, or risk losing my then steady girl with whom I still live close to Odessa on the black sea.

You will need to register (for free) and have some help from a russian speaking person to guide you through but I am very sure you will not be disapointed with what you will find and encounter. Scroll through the Bender girls as well...
Economics 101 : Pridnistrovia still has the lowest GDP/capita of the "white" world. That's a guarantee, but won't last another 5 years. What does it bring you? It immediately puts you "in play". What you need however is TIME and a local contact. I would recommend to start correspondances from marriage agencies and meet the girls here, until you are a bit more confident about the place. Also, you will need to REGISTER if you stay for more than 24 hours (Ul. Luxembourg, after 17h is better, less crowded). Either you stay at TIMOTY hotel (ask for manager Tatiana) for that and they will do it for you, or you must be accompanied/registered with a local resident for the length of your stay. REGISTER FOR LONGER (up to 45 days), if possible... one never knows.
I can answer most questions about the place as a help. On the real estate side however, I can put you in touch with a very knowledgeable girl and general guide, but it comes as a (cheap) paid consultation.

- to eat : my favorite FARAON : On Ul. 25 Octobre right in from of the white parlement "Dom Sovjetov"; pelmeni not bad; english menu...
-Higher end is also "Evropa", but quite dead unless there s a banquet. english menu as well.
- In the summer : to eat : Eidelbergh on "centralne ploshet", a nice terrace with lot's of "foreigners/important people", hence here again english menu.
-dicso's : the well-known high end Plazma (not recommended). In the summer, my favorite is chaoc show in the parc. Boy two blonde girls are dancing there in their cages : a miracle to the eyes. I could have had a setup with one of them, but not my profile as I said. This disco supposably moves to "dom officier" in the winter on karla libnitsa Ul. A local favorite is "7 dien", but since it got renovated a couple fo months ago, it became less afordable for the students that used to go there and this seriously handicapped the women/men ratio. My favorite is still "cherry", BUT you must come accompanied as it can be dead in early evenings, and generally speaking, be VERY careful that a girl is not acccompanied before you make a move anywhere. Some people mention Scorpion, but I hate this old place. The restaurant Faraon becomes a disco later in the night with entrance fee and probably some working girls there.
IN BENDER (17 km), a new club opened whish I heard is quited good. Ecuador I think it is called. That would be recommendation number 1. Taxi will cost you about 8 $ at present rates.
- regular girls pick-up in the summer : NABERIJNA : from "centralne ploshet", walk to the Dniester and all the girls are there waiting for some action. Two foreigners of which one speaks decent russian is the best to score. Ask where some action is, and then invite them for whatever place they suggest. 50% response rate, I'd guess and from there it all depends on your charms (NOT money). What they want is the perspective of a long term steady relationship with a nice foreigner.

Going there is not dangerous but the problem is that you have to give some money to the russian "custom" if you don't want the will ask you for a visa from Moldova. I don't know for US passort holder but for EU members you don't need a visa any more... so you see the only visa for Transnistria is 10$. When you are there you will be notice and if you speak russian and you stay more than 24h you will have some succes here... But this will take you time. So Moscow is still the best place for a fast meeting for lovers of russian girls.

I get my info from there I was there 2 days ago. So maybe my post is not clear and I can only speak from my experience. 1 EU passoport and 1 Canadian passoport. Yes you don't need a visa to Moldova but the guy from the Transnistria "custom" ask us for a visa from Moldova he probably knows very well that I didn't need a visa but like I said this was the way to make me understand that I had to give him some dollars to go in Tiraspol. I gave him 10$ for the 2 of us and he let us in.... If you read my post I never said that you need a visa for Moldova I'm saying that the "custom" ask you for a visa that doesn't existe because you don't need a visa for Moldova.

I payed USD 8, or 84 Lei to register at the check point and get into Transdniestre last week. I really have to say that money is flowing into Tiraspol. Its one big laundry machine for dirty money and deals. Walk along the main street and alomst every second building is a bank. I bet the majority of the cash invested there is russian maffia money.
Still some nice girls that are easy to talk to though;)

Regarding the entrance fee waiver we all know that whatever law may be in effect is never applies to foreigners like us. Paying $8 or 10 like I sometimes do is really nothing compared to what it used to cost to enter Moldova up until a little more than a year ago. Remember the 60 one entry or 75 double entry visas? I see it more as the cost of admission to a commie theme park where you happen to find some of the most beautyful and approachable female creatures :)
If and when you have time it would be interesting to read a bit of your experiences from Transnistria. I myself plan to spend a lot more time there next time work permits me to go.

Oh, absolutely nothing stops me from going there now, quite the contrary. I go there every time I am in Moldova and I highly appreciate the fact that it is still a somewhat isolated place free from the hordes of the RomanoVs in Chisinau, relatively speaking of course. What I do look forward to, though, is getting rid of the whole charade at the border, but like you correctly say, with time it will probably ruin Tiraspol like Chisinau has been for the last few years, much like what happens when a low-cost airline opens new destinations. It is all just a matter of time.

My trip to BENDER has been great but for me things are different because in a way I am local. I was born in MOLDOVA in the soviet times and grew up in ROMANIA and I kind of spent all my life between RUSSIA and ROMANIA.
I speak both languages perfectly so I guess this doesn't make me the typical monger.
MOLDOVA and other FSU countries are still gold mines if you keep in mind the golden rule which is TIME TIME TIME. From your reports I can see that you allready know this and you are probable doing very well) For mongers coming there for a week on a budget it will be a waist of time. Better save the money and energy for BRAZIL or Thailand. Plus in these days you just can't fool the girls anymore that you have fell in love with local foods and traditions. They KNOW exactly why you are there and they will try to squeez you as much as posible.
However if you have 6 months to spend in the area the payoff will be GREAT.
In my 2 weeks trip to bender I have fucked 5 girls the only money invested being the restaurants bills. I was not there for this purpose and to be honest when I want to do some mongering I prefer ROMANIA.

work has just sapped me recently and not had time for the sport of kings.
anyway on a particulalry boring sunday i decided to head out with a friend to tiraspol to spend the day, normally i have gone at night so never seen this place during the day.
not quite chisinau of course but it has it charms. one major thing i noticed immediatley was the thankful lack of "outlanders" and just how many bloody women are sat on thier own in bars etc.
i went to a couple of places one called ellenburg resturant or something had the hottest waitress i have ever seen, after a few cognacs we left to find another watering hole called cafe orange or some shit like that, stayed there for about 5 hours at which point it flooded with hunnies!
made eye contact with few bought few drinks, but did not take it further as i had work the next day and those chicks certainly would not appreciate a wham bamn thank you mam.
next we went to a pizza place by day/ club by night type joint no clue what it is called by is at the top of the high street and just opposite the kvint shop.
being quite drunk at this point i could not leave without a bit of paid for fun.
there is this place near and i promise i will get an area name for you where it is like moscow you drive up with your car, choose your sweety and take her away $25 per hour damage, but you need to be pretty drunk to do them, they are youngish but not perfect 10's.
we took a couple back to the hotel timotei i think it was called, total damage for 3 rooms was $80 but it was only because my moldovan friend went in without me first.
tiraspol is not cheap however beer seemed more expensive then chisinau, as did other stuff exchange rate given was 0.65 rubles to 1 lei and $100 did not go as far as a couple of years ago.
i spend about $400 that day but that included transport back and forth and all the fun for 3 guys.
overall it is very safe and i experience no problems except bribes of $10 at the border
i am going back for a week or so soon, if anyone want to come let me know

no problem at all 60 night for good (local standard) but clean rooms. 80 for Jacuzzi rooms! Very friendly staff
especially on ground of all mobiles/internet working problems.
At night (usually with young friendly male night guard, no security) the hotel is girlfriendly (perhaps a tip helps)
a group of Ukrainians (three) had a 18-19 teen non pro girl
They took a double with an extra bed and at 8 p.m. when I was going to dinner one got in with a girl. I think she got all her little holes devastated for hours

But it is very easy to find a nice unspoiled girlfriend in tiraspol or elswhere in transnistria, especially if you speak Russian. You can't compare tiraspol as a capital to chisinau. Exept that tiraspol is an communist open air museum its quiete boring, I would not recommend to go somewhere else.
You don't need a visa nor an invitation, you can stay as long as your registration, which you buy for ca. 5$ in a special office in tiraspol, is valid. My longest stay without leaving the country was one month. But I think you can even stay longer. If not, just leave the country and come in again. Its not a problem since they arent allowed to stamp your passport. I felt always quiete safe down there. The government + police isn't too keen to get involved in trouble, their reputation is already quiete worse. Got controlled only once without any problems. At the border they sometimes ask how much cash you have, what you answer is often half the ammount they need. But this happens only if you act damn unsure + look like a fool. Thre is only one hotel in Tiraspol where you can go... Hotel Timoty.
But if you are not used to EE strange places, military check points, etc I suggest you to avoid PMR... or Transdnistria...

ItI totaly agree, also Timothy hotel, for sure is not CHEAP.
There also should be another hotel called "Aist".
It is old hotel from soviet times. Of course it is nothing much but is cheaper than "Timoty". But don't know if it's still open.
To clarify about entry into PMR. Since April 2008 there is no need for invitation letter. So entry is quite easy, if you're not bothered by border guards. Entry can be problematic from Moldovan "side" where they will not be very happy if some is going over to the PMR. You need to register if you're staying LONGER than 10 hours. Strange regulation but that's it. So if you want to register you need to register on the same day or tommorrow. It's not like in Russian after 72 hours. Registration is OVIR office in Tiraspol but you can also be registered at the "border". Registratrion is valid for one month maximal.
Don't expect Tiraspol to be some cheap place. Some prices are the same as in Chisinau and some things can be even more expencive.
All in all Tiraspol is nothing much, it can't be compared with Chisinau of course. About p4p Chisinau is much better option. All Moldovan girls who want to make money by p4p are in Chisinau and Russian and Ukrainian girls are in Odessa. What's left in Tiraspol is probalby second classed girls. Keep in mind most people in PMR have two passports (Moldovan and Russian) and some even three (Moldovan, Russian and ukrainian). So they don't intend to stay in Tiraspol for example.
Freebies are always possible of course, expecially if you're there for the longer time and speak Russian. But many girls and not willing to be seen with foreginer, since it's a smaller town and people talk.

It is old hotel from soviet times. Of course it is nothing much but is cheaper than "Timoty". But don't know if it's still open.
To clarify about entry into PMR. Since April 2008 there is no need for invitation letter. So entry is quite easy, if you're not bothered by border guards. Entry can be problematic from Moldovan "side" where they will not be very happy if some is going over to the PMR. You need to register if you're staying LONGER than 10 hours. Strange regulation but that's it. So if you want to register you need to register on the same day or tommorrow. It's not like in Russian after 72 hours. Registration is OVIR office in Tiraspol but you can also be registered at the "border". Registratrion is valid for one month maximal.
Don't expect Tiraspol to be some cheap place. Some prices are the same as in Chisinau and some things can be even more expencive.
All in all Tiraspol is nothing much, it can't be compared with Chisinau of course. About p4p Chisinau is much better option. All Moldovan girls who want to make money by p4p are in Chisinau and Russian and Ukrainian girls are in Odessa. What's left in Tiraspol is probalby second classed girls. Keep in mind most people in PMR have two passports (Moldovan and Russian) and some even three (Moldovan, Russian and ukrainian). So they don't intend to stay in Tiraspol for example.
Freebies are always possible of course, expecially if you're there for the longer time and speak Russian. But many girls and not willing to be seen with foreginer, since it's a smaller town and people talk.

In order to have good time in Tiraspol it is important to have good knowledge of russian language. Withuot it you will not go far. With the girls you will be limited with very small number of those who speak english. And they are not shy to rip off you in various ways.
The main problem in Tiraspol is accomodation. Limited options with high costs.
How to contact girls there? Like any other place. You can simply start a conversation on the street, caffe, etc. Playing a role of lost foreigner. Check if the girl is not with a guy or married (look if she has a wedding ring on RIGHT hand. On the 4th finger by the smallest finger on the hand). Again knowledge of russian language is important, without it you will not go much far. Chances are 50:50, girl can tell you to get lost in rude way or get in conversation with you. You can also try to get in contact with girls before your trip using the net. On those russian websites where people met. Sometime you can find a english speaking one but don't expect much of them or some high quality.

The other option is to have a moldovan number of Orang or Moldcell start with +3736 for Orang or +3737 for Moldcell.
If she have a prepay number it is impossible to find her number by name.
If she have a registered number and you have her full name it is possible to find her details.

I doubt there is another thread on this entire site with as much crap spoken and lack of solid information. I don't want to join a thread and tell people that their heads are up their arse but please. "If you don't speak Russian forget it", "more expensive then Kishinev". I wonder if those people either a) have not been there but like to sound like they have, b) went there but are such novices to the game that they couldn't get laid in Pattaya with $100 in their back pocket, or c) know that this place is the cheapest place to get laid in Europe and therefore want to keep that info secret lest it gets ruined like so many other places (remember China before people started paying $100 dollars to average looking prostitutes? Next I went into the office where you fill in the forms. I filled mine in paid the small amount it costs and walked on. On the gate itself the guard stopped me and asked where my transport was, I told him I was walking 'Peshkom', he looked at me asthough I was an imbecile and told me to get moving. I was in PMR! It was hot so I entered the small shop on my right after the customs post and bought a beer, the lady working there asked me if I had come for girls which was a strange question I thought. It had been a great day, PMR was my kind of place.
So as I said before $20 for young Russian girls is definately out there in the PMR but you need to put yourself out there, if I can find them on my first day there then why couldn't others who go there frequently? I still remember where the sauna is that the hottie gave me her card for and I would be interested in going there if someone wants to team up this winter for an exploration. I'm thinking of going back in November or December and renting an apartment for a month, then I will know every girl in that town, believe me that will benefit some of you guys too. If anyone's interested in exploring the little country then let me know. I'm looking forwards to finding out what the freebie situation is like over there.
So to sum up.
Is it safe? Yes, it felt totally safe to me. I had no problems with police, FSB, KGB, Spetsnaz or any other of the big bad bogeymen people seem to fear so much out there. Infact it seems too safe, prefer an element of danger on my travels.
Is it cheap? Yes, if you do things right and pay the local prices, otherwise you'll pay inflated prices like you do in Kishinev. I hope that people will not head over there now and ruin the place.
Do you need to speak Russian? No. No more then you do anywhere else in the former CCCP. I do speak Russian and ofcourse language skills help but don't be put off by people who don't know anything about the place but pretend they do. Too many of those on this forum. Learn about 20 basic words and you will have no problems.
Any questions then fire away., I wll post more as things pop into my mind.

Checked the situation re visas for kaliningrad, and it appears that visas are not issued, on the land border crossing between poland and the Russian enclave of kaliningrad.
So for UK and UK citizens, a visa must be obtained from the Russian embassies, with the usual hotel and lodgings pre bookings.
The best and cheapest way from the uk, would be to fly from london to Gdansk in poland, and a catch a bus from there.
How would you get to Kaliningrad?
Do you have alternative routes?
I have done most of Eastern and central europe including Belarus, which is quite easy and reasonable now to get to from london on one of the budget airlines flying to vilinus lithuania, and then on by bus.
Sorry, one more question. How do costs compare, between Belarus, ukraine one the one hand, and transdinister on the other?

I have been there a few times, but only for a few hours always, no overnight stay. Was afraid how to handle registration because for transit officially I am allowed to stay only for 10 hours in PMR.
Having a German registered car in UA (Nikolaev), I need to export it from UA every 2 months because of customs regulations. But I can come back a few hours later to UA again and start the 2 month game again.
Standard procedure for every expat in UA having a foreign registered car.

Really just go! It's not so difficult as people told me. It has obviously changed for the better! There is Andy's pizza just like in Chisinau with wifi. The center is clean with big parks and lots of pretty girls fill these parks. New coffee shops etc. I think it's a good place to find a real gf. I also know pros work all the hotels in the center. But I think this is a excellent place to find a true loyal gf. Stay here, These guys can really help you with all your needs speaking perfect english and know Tiraspol well, and there is a local disco right across the street from them. Only 10 euros a night, compared to the old hotels that are 50 euros a night.

Yes I lived in Hotel Aist for some days last August. It is an old sovjet style "hotel", absolutely no comfort, but I did not really mind. In the meanwhile I traveled to PMR two times, also to the north to Ribnita. Tiraspol is a nice place but only suggestable during students schedules.

When are you going? Want to go by car to Tiraspol some time in July. Not the best time of the year, because of university holidays, but no other choice. At least, for a first check.

- In Transnistria everybody speaks Russian, Russian and Russian! Not easy to be understood in english but no major problem either (don't know about Romanian language).
- I travelled to Tiraspol from both Moldova (Chisinau) and Ukraine (Odessa) , I never had problem and never had to pay any bribe. I travelled by mini-bus (mashrutka). You just have to know that border crossing can take from 1 up to 3 hours! You have to go trough : 1st the Transnistrian customs. 2nd the transnistrian immigration (PMR migration office) and 3rd the Russian "peacekeepers" office. Just write "tourism" as the purpose of your visit. You have to give name & address of your accommodation (hotel). You'll receive a paper ("immigration card") that allows you to stay up to 10 hours in the PMR (Transnistria). Once you arrive in Tiraspol, go to the main police office and ask for permission to stay longer than the 10 hours issued at the border. I had no problem to receive a 72 hours permission within a few minutes and it's free of charge (longer term is available, maximum three months if I understood well). The only question from the officer was : "how long do you want to stay in our country?" That's all. You receive a small piece of paper (not larger than a business card!) that you have to give to the border officer (with the immigration card) when you leave the country.
- I was asked to pay my hotel room in USD or EUR (cash money only). Otherwise everywhere else (taxis, restaurants, bars, shops) in local currency : Transnistrian roubles. There is plenty of exchange offices where you can change your US dollars or euros (the exchange rate was quite similar in the different offices I visited). There is very few ATM's, the one on the main street (October 20th street?) will give you USD or Russian roubles!

I arrived there on Thursday evening at 7 pm My friend picked me up from the border at the border was fast and no problems we went for pizza at andy's pizza was not bad at all.
Later went to cherry caffe was empty around 1 am started to come some stunner's but they came as a group so no chance for pickup.
I Think the Kishinev girls are more beautiful and sexy but need to stay longer to find more options.

I was also there, and I agree that it is a fantastic and undiscovered place! I met a beautiful girlfriend there, so I will be going back for sure. As far as staying, locals are the only way to go. I stayed with a local guy who showed me around and it really helped!

Chisinau is well just bloody dead if you ask me, I have been going further afield within moldova including PMR and in the north places like balti and Drochia and Soroca I but for PMR, Tiraspol GREAT, if your looking for skirt get a cabby to take you to "Sauna Ariva" if it helps it is near the Cinema in the Center, $25 ST not tried LT, Girl there blond blue eyed called anna and she does the business and takes it anywhere you want frankly.
In Bendery head to City Night club, it is opposite the Casino in bendery, nice place tons of totty all looking for johnny Foreigner to take them away, rent a flat if you can and spend a few days in Bendery it's about $40 for a decent flat, no problems with nationality blah blah blah but if you have a mate who is local I would not say it is obligatory but certainly very helpful no one will mug you and so on but you will get fleeced if your not careful.
They do not take lei, so try to get there during the day while the banks are still open so you can change your cash, obviously don't even think they have seen a quid before so take $$$ or EUR, Cash points don't work with natwest, Barclays or Lloyds cards, but I have used my HSBC card a few times with no issues.

Tirasopol is the capital of the "self proclaimed" republic of Transnistria.
They have a population of about 650, 000 people, their own government, money, police, etc.
By bus it is about 1. 5 hours from Kishinev. Crossing the border is easy for Moldovan and Transnistrian citizens, but can prove a nightmare for other passport holders, especially if the border guards see you are from the "West", and they want to try to get money from you.
Make the initial contact by internet, fly to Kishinev, rent an apartment for about US$35 a day, and invite the girl to meet you in Kishinev.
Much more interesting for the girl, safer for you, and more fun for you both!
Living costs in Kishinev for you and the girl about US$25 a day, for lunch, dinner, drinks, etc.
Not so much to do or see in Kishinev. But hey, you are not coming for the museums or art galleries I guess!

Ok, I been here since 24th. Lots of beautiful girls and lots of potential. But I can tell, with no Russian it's going to be a challenge and a bit more time investment is need as well. And I am a stubborn son of a ***** so I welcome the challenge.
Also, you will need to invest in a CDMA phone here to communicate with local girls. There is no use for GSM / sim card phones here if you want to communicate with the locals. I came in the train, so I have bypassed all the border drama. But so far I have not registered mainly because the hotel asked for an additional $10 per night to register me! Maybe one of you can advise me on the process of registering. I would like that.
Girls are very very friendly to me and stop to help me with directions. Got like 5 numbers in my first day alone. And brought one girl back to my room with no problems with the hotel.
My concern Now is not the girls. It's finding an economical place to stay. I NEED AN APARTMENT!
Who knows of a good clean close to the center affordable apartment I can rent for few days.
I am stuck in a $50 / night hotel that is attached to a noisy ice skating ring and it's a bit far from the center.
I been trying to communicate with Tim from the Tiraspol Hostel, but he keeps responding hours after I send him a text and doesn't answer his phone! Ideally, I want to stay in his hostel for 15EURO / night while I look for a place long term.
The town looks very promising but need more time investment.

I would really check on this business of regestering with the police. Make sure that you keep the papers done by the hotel. Ask the hotel to show you any receipts etc that they have done so.

First thanks to Jojosun. I just now logged on to this site since my last messege and I have just emailed Lena / Marisha.
Okay, I can not over emphysize how beautiful these women are and most importatnly how most of them are not spoiled by western pop culture as my new found american friend "Tim" would put it. Yes, there is a fellow american living here in Tiraspol and he is a great ambassador to this town. He is the guy who runs the Tiraspol hostel which is at the moment undergoing great renovations and updates. He is currently hosting in his private apartment which he shares with his wife. It's only $20 / day.
Tim knows a great local who helped me go through the Russian "Mekler" newspaper and we saw two apartment of which I am renting the one in the center. It is $450 / month and has A / C which is much needed if you come in the summer. The other apartment was for $250 / month and had no A / C, but had a washer (a must for long stays cause you will sweat in this town in the summer). There are plenty of apartments you short timers can rent for 15-40 USD per day. But remember, this is really not your short time monger destination. The women here are well grounded. Yes they will be impressed initially by your english speaking skills and will engage you in a good conversation. But unless you show you are here for long term and looking for wife / gf. Then you will have a difficult time.
Tim will take you to see all the major spots here in town and of course where you will find the girls. He is constantly hosting travellers and an easy going fellow to meet. Just buy him a beer or even lunch. He doesn't really asks you to. But honestly for the time he puts in with his clients showing them this town, he is more than worth it. I know his wife gives him grief over spending too much time with the clients.
One thing I must say, if you get in by train forget about registration. And NO COPS / Immigration officers stop you randomly to ask for your registration. I think that is just a myth. I came, I saw and I was not once harrased or asked ANYTHING. In fact as Tim explained, the fined if you overstay your visa is 5USD.
And let me just say, girls here will be shocked if you say you are here as a tourist. I had a couple of them asks me "what the hell you doing in tiraspol, people want to leave this place" I just smile and say I want to find me a gf / wife.
If you think you are truelly ready to settle down and want to find a sweetheart then you need PATIENCE. And you should stay here for at least one month. Girls here are very approachable, they smile if you smile at them. This happens to me 95% of the time I smile at them. You need to know at least basic Russian to find your way in. I have noticed that the ones who know english are the sharpist and also the most skeptic about forieng men tourists. I know, I am dating one now and she point blank told me: "but you are just looking for vacation gf"
One think I must elaborate on which by the way has nothing to do with women or mongering. This place to me seems like it moves at a slower pace from my busy city life back in the states. People really take the time and smell the roses kind of thing. You see everyone walking at a slower pace and actually enjoying their time either at the park, beach or just strolling down 25 October. It is this sort of romantisims that I found most appealing about this place. People are natural and genuine in thier interactions both within themselves and with visitors.
On Fawie, I am not sure what happened. I sent him a couple of pm and included my Moldcell number but never heard from him. So if you are out thier pm me your cell number and we may meet. I know you know alot about Bendery. I haven't been there yet. Just did a late drive by and everyone seemed asleep.

First thanks to Jojosun. I just now logged on to this site since my last messege and I have just emailed Lena / Marisha.
Okay, I can not over emphysize how beautiful these women are and most importatnly how most of them are not spoiled by western pop culture as my new found american friend "Tim" would put it. Yes, there is a fellow american living here in Tiraspol and he is a great ambassador to this town. He is the guy who runs the Tiraspol hostel which is at the moment undergoing great renovations and updates. He is currently hosting in his private apartment which he shares with his wife. It's only $20 / day.
Tim knows a great local who helped me go through the Russian "Mekler" newspaper and we saw two apartment of which I am renting the one in the center. It is $450 / month and has A / C which is much needed if you come in the summer. The other apartment was for $250 / month and had no A / C, but had a washer (a must for long stays cause you will sweat in this town in the summer). There are plenty of apartments you short timers can rent for 15-40 USD per day. But remember, this is really not your short time monger destination. The women here are well grounded. Yes they will be impressed initially by your english speaking skills and will engage you in a good conversation. But unless you show you are here for long term and looking for wife / gf. Then you will have a difficult time.
Tim will take you to see all the major spots here in town and of course where you will find the girls. He is constantly hosting travellers and an easy going fellow to meet. Just buy him a beer or even lunch. He doesn't really asks you to. But honestly for the time he puts in with his clients showing them this town, he is more than worth it. I know his wife gives him grief over spending too much time with the clients.
One thing I must say, if you get in by train forget about registration. And NO COPS / Immigration officers stop you randomly to ask for your registration. I think that is just a myth. I came, I saw and I was not once harrased or asked ANYTHING. In fact as Tim explained, the fined if you overstay your visa is 5USD.

I stayed for 4 weeks and had lots of phone numbers and curious girls. Lots of dates and all wanted serious relations or just friendship with an English speaking man or curious about the outside world.
I was only able to bang two girls: one girl but from Bendery I met on mamba. The second girl was her half sister.
EXPECTAIONS.
If beauty is what you want. You will find it. If romance and love is your goal then you will find it. But if sex is your main objective, then the cost outweighs the realized (not expected) profits. Also, this is a small town, the longer you stay the quicker word spreads about you. And the easier it is to recognize you. I hope you can read between the lines on that last observation. Hint hint. Don't walk with a girl and flowers on her hands on main street unless she is the only one you intend to date. And tell them you are here to meet a beautiful Russian girl. *Guys, DON'T LIE. These women are poor NOT dumb. Tell them you want a Russian girlfriend and that will get you the number. All this bullshit about I am here for work or business or my company. F&Ĩk all that. I quickly realized these women are sweethearts and not as spoiled by pop culture yet. At least the majority. *
COMMS.
For communicating with locals you'll need a CDMA phone activated by the only *cell provider in Tiraspol. Moldcel and Orange, the Moldovan GSM carriers Get poor signals and they can't call local CDMA Tiraspol numbers! I mett only three locals who had GSM phons and all three were Orange. I think it's because it has lower per minute rates than Moldcell. *
TAXIS.
Get in taxis that display numbers on top. The other ones look the same but if look carefully they don't have numbers. The difference is the ones with numbers belong to a taxi company and charge by the Taximeter. Which is always much cheaper. The other cabs with no numbers are private and will charge a fixed amount but you must agree before you take one of them.
Food: Andy's pizza. 7 Fridays and la plachenta are the ones popular. You can find all three in 25 October street.
FOOD.

But I found the best cafe / bar to be the only one across from the "Suvorof" statue (man on a horse) and next to the tank / war memorial in main square. This place is ritzy but for me it has the best atmosphere and prices are very reasonable. Best food for me was 7 Fridays and la plachenta. Andy's seemed to put too much grease / oil on most of their food. There is one famous restaurant / bar in "Balka" called "Oscar" that's where Tim lives. This place also serves good food. I highly recommend the chicken breast sautéed in mushroom sauce with French fries. *
DISCOS*
There are two main discos: Plazma and one I can't recall the name but it's in the basement of hotel Russia which is one block away from Plazma.
Both clubs are on the only main street of Tiraspol: 25 October but they are completely different.
Plazma caters to folks over 25 and has a bigger and focused area for dancing which makes it easier to spot the ladies. The ladies are more of the working class and are much more sociable and down to earth. In this club I found it easier to ask girls for a dance or even join a group of girls while they are dancing. DON'T BE SHY. Just get in and dance with them. I even had a birthday girl hit at me and ask me to go home with her that night but that was after she saw me approach and dance with other girls. Here the ladies are old enough to realize that their pool of men is shrinking so you can see at any given night 10 women to one man on that dance floor. And that helps make them more approachable.
Club Russia chatters to the younger including teens crowd and the girls are more spoiled by pop culture and their pool of men is still larger since they are not old enou to immigrate to other countries for work. However, hands down these girls are the best looking I've seen in Tiraspol. There is no central dance floor here. It is a new and modern club and people dance everywhere. EVERYWHERE. So get in early to be seen and noticed if you want to visit this club. Otherwise you'll be budding shoulders while trying to scout a good spot. One thing I noticed in this club is that there seems to be this same small group of females everyday. One of them dances very provocatively. I mean spreading her looooooong legs over the bartender shoulder and grinding against his chest. This leads me to believe that there might be working girls. I never got to inquire but I bet at least this tall brunett with the looooooong legs is because I saw her with a much older man in a different night. I also noticed in this club the girls for some reason dance individually and very provocatively and turn down the advances of so many men which discouraged me from initiating many approaches.
There are two other clubs but they are not in the center: cherry and rainbow.
Cherry is closer to the ice skating ring. I never been there but two cute girls suggested it when I stopped them to ask midday. Too bad they had a paren. But if these two girls represent the majority of the girls in this club then it must be a great club because it will have the younger but more humble crowds.
Rainbow is in a different sector calld "Balka" which is where Tim the hostel owner is. Based on Tim's advice this is where the poor girls go. I went there on a Friday but it didn't have many girls. In fact the quality of the girls was the lowest I've seen in Tiraspol. And they were differently dressed as though they were poor. Maybe that's why there was a higher men to women ratio than the other clubs. BUT DON'T AVOID IT. In fact I thing you should go and be a nice man to the girls. Buy me drinks and try your game but don't play heavy or strong game. They are more feminine and softer than our girls in the west. But if you feel chemistry you are less likely to get head games from her.
One note about discos. There is a bar / disco next to hotel Russia (not to be confused with the modern underground disco aforementioned) called Pharaon or Faraon. This place is dimly let with lots of local men and is famous for prostitutes. I went in and didn't like any of the 5 and 6 I found there. They seemed like the hard core pros I don't care for. If you decide to pick one there. Please please be very smart and cautious. They are deceptive as two of them told me they were 19 and I can tell they looked nothing like 19. I even called them on it and they changed their age up to twenty something. I told them off.
THE BEACH.
This is one of my favorite place. Here the girls are happy and very approachable. It will help if you are speaking English with another monger. I will check the girls out as they outnumber the men. I wait to see which ones response favorably. I approach and they start to ask right away: what are you doing here? Why Transnistria. Etc I simply tell them "I heard Russian women are the best" and almost all of them laugh and nod their heads in agreement.
Go whenever it is hot and sunny. *
MAMBA.
I used this site extensively and got numbers from Tiraspol and Bendery. All the Tiraspol ones flaked. I had three from Bendery and met one 21yrs (Kcenia) cutie in Bendery went out for a walk, we had great conversation / chemistry, made out while strolling and basically we ended up in my place later that night. The sex was great as she was wet and very vocal and responsive to my touches. Asked me at the end if I can help her with refilling her phone. I gave her 100 roubles which included the 50 for the taxi ride back to Bendery. She smiled and thanked me.
The other girl I met on Mamba from Bendery is Anna maria. But we never got to meet unfortunately. We arranged one meeting in Bendery but she was running late by 1. 5 hrs. So I called Kcenia instead who was surprised I came earlier than what I've agreed to. You see, my plan was to need Annamaria earlier and spend a couple of hours then party with Kcenia and her sister and male cousine later that night but since Annamaria was late it conflicted with my second plan. In a way I don't regret it cause that led me to banging Kcenia half sister who was all eyeballing me with a smile the moment I walked in the apartment and that continued to the dance floor all night long. *
There was one more but older chick 29 mother who kept perusing me and calling. But I really didn't like her that much and I felt she was to old.
Mamba basically have a lot of chicks from Tiraspol but I didn't have any luck with them. I think Bendery is better for MAMBA.
UNIVERSITY CHICKS.
By the time I got to Tiraspol the U was wrapping up and closing. I did get good responses from the few I met there and one gave her number but left to work in Moscow days later. She and many others speak fair English. This is a great resource for girls but during school year. Next to the U there is the dormitories for the interned students from the villages and smaller towns. That to me is a goldmine but again during school year.
THE END.
I wish December is not as cold as it is in Transnistria. Otherwise, I know my next trip would be so much better.

I forgot to talk about getting in and out of Tiraspol.
I took the train from chisinau to Tiraspol which by the way stops first at Bendery. Cost was so ridiculously low I can't even recall.
You'll need your passport when buying the ticket.
We stopped once and you had to show your passport and that was it. When I got to Tiraspol, they saw my suite case and asked what I had in it. I told them my cloths and they let me through. Nothing about registering. Oh, one officer told me to go inside to get registration. I pretended I didn't understand and told him I will register through the hotel which I never did.
While in Tiraspol and Bendery I never was once stopped, questioned or harassed by anyone including mafia, police, immigration, undercover, military or any government officials even though I stand out because of my darker skin tone and slightly taller stature.
On the way back, I was surprised when we were stopped by Transnistrian immigration. They checked everyone's passport and documments. Of course I was out of order and I was waved to the back of the train wagon! I play it dumb at this point. The officer keeps repeating were is my immigration paper explaining that if it allows me to stay up to three days for free. Etc again I play dumb and tell him in very poor Russian, I came in train and nobody mentioned it to me and now I am leaving by train. At this point an older officer walks in and asks what's going on. After he finds out he makes a gesture with both his hands which I quickly and later verified is the gesture for jail! Now the younger officer starts telling me about him working hard to support his kids and how he have to work far away from them. Bla. Bla. Bla. So I tell him. Oh, you just want money. I see! He counters no, no money, just a gift. LOL so I pull out a 10rouble and give it to him and he hesitates for a second, takes it but then just returns it back and waves down as to say."forget it." All this time I keep reinforcing to him how great his people and country are and how nicely I been treated there which built pride and honor in him so the 10 roubles was to test that pride and I was basically bluffing and he didn't call me on it. I walked back with the biggest grin on my face that everyone on that wagon was looking at me with a smile. I almost heard applause, no kidding. LOL.
Guys don't let this scare you. Instead learn from it and be prepared. Maybe next time I'll have little American flags for my next train trip or some simple souvenir. But the main lesson is when you are faced with a situation like this the best thing is to be cool and identify with the person who has the authority over you. If I had kids like him I would have probably showed him photos of my kids and relate that way and tell him how I miss them. Just find something. And don't turn to money right away. Yes I was ready to fork more had he called my bluff but talking to these men, they really bark more than they bite.
Now, I was surprised again when at the Moldovan checkpoint, I was told to open my suitcase which of course I did. They asked the same from a German tourist.
And that was it. Easy!

If you want to stay more you should call and ask before if the owner want to help with this.
If you stay in an hotel (and you want to stay more then 24h) you have to go to the "Passport stol" to make the registration showing the hotel bill.
If you stay at Hotel Russia (the most expensive of Tiraspol. 100 dollars / night) they will take care of it.

As I said almost none.
I had some girlfriends, but most of them were whack (I mean they were either lying, or too slow, or whatever)
But I had one girlfriend I spent a lot of time, she was virgin, and yes we had sex, but she didn't talk English.
Over all, it is not worth all the time I spent to get those girls, and I am young. I almost contacted all girls online.
I would get 20x more girls in Ukraine or Russia.
And also girls with good altitude, and that actually speak English.
I stayed in Moldova because I was tired of leaving / coming back to Ukraine because of the 90/180 rule.
But now I don't want to stay in Moldova at all, there is nothing good there.
I plan on visiting other countries maybe like Poland, or Hungary or Romania.
Most of all because they are European countries and I am European (french)
So I would be able to live there without worrying about leaving all the time!

I was in Tiraspol this July and had a great time! The prices are the cheapest in Europe! For example you can buy the local beer $1 for 2 liters.
I will be honest, It's not a place for pros, however it is excellent for finding a solid local girlfriend! The girls there are highly educated and loyal.
Most have not be exposed to or spoiled by tourist etc. I met a girl there that is model level and plan to go back to see her in a few months.
I stayed at Tiraspol Hostel. Just google it. Dude there speaks English and was my guide to everything. Took me to all the hidden night spots and we even went to local house parties. The best was when HE took me to some village in the north. The locals were in just total shock I was there! LOL!
We got invites to every other home for drinks and food! Met some fantastic village girls. There is a lot more girls than just Hotel Russia. But you got to know where to go!
Drank and ate a lot for free! It took awhile to find a solid GF, but it did happen. Was happy with the whole experience.

I ended up finding a nice apt on the main road thanks to him.
It is a disappointment there aren't more reports about Transnistria! If I lived in Europe this tiny ""country"" would be on my top frequented location. I wish our fellow Europeans would spend more time there and report more often.
It's not a monger destination by any stretch of the imagination though. But if you don't have to spend 20+ hrs between 3-4 flights just to get there, and you live in Europe, you can make it a regular GF destination. It is amazing to me how this is not done. I equate this to Cuba for Canadians and Americans. It's THAT easy if you travel there frequently.
But if you do stay for long term, remember it is small town and everyone knows who you're dating, shagging,. Etc. Especially the next girl you want to flirt with!

I gather Tiraspol isn't a great pro destination from all the preceding reports. I'll be in Tiraspol at the end of the month and is looking at this as more of a off the track holiday. Apart from the usual tourist stuff (fortress in Bendery, T34, etc) what clubs / bars / restaurants would you guys recommend? I would like to just have a few drinks, chat with people and generally just have a good time. Sex is quite low on the agenda this time, but any suggestions of the nature gratefully received anyway.

Thanks man!1. Yes. I drove from the norther part of Europe to Transnistria. Remember to pay road tax in Moldova. Also for the time you spend in Transnistria. Moldova consider Transnistria to be a part of Moldova. When you drive out of Moldova they will run your number plate. If you haven't payed, they will fine you up to 300. You can pay on this site: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/personal-car-taxation_en.
There is also a road tax in Transnistria. But you pay this on the border. If you stay for more than one month, you have to go to a police station and register. This is free. You also have to go to the border and pay road tax for the rest of your stay. It is cheap. I think I payed 20 for 3 months.
2. I felt extremely safe. Transnistria has a very low crime rate. People are nice, and I was never scared or nervous. I stayed in Bendery. It is a smaller town. But Tiraspol is just 10 minutes away by car. Yes, I will go back. I am actually planning to go back in July. They are a bit jumpy right now, but I would not worry. If Russia intends to go all the way to Transnistria, you will know in good time. They have to take Odesa first. And how it looks right now, Russia has no capacity to take anything else than Donbas.
3. No. I did not pay any bribes. Transnistria exports 70% of what they produce to Moldova and the EU. They can not afford to have a bad relationship with Moldova or the EU. I passed the border many times. There was never any problems. And everything was handled very professional. There are even signs in English on the border with a phone number you can call if you suspect corruption. That said, there is corruption in Transnistria. But this is for people who have money. Most people don't have to money to pay any bribes. They just try to pay as little tax as they possible can. They want to scam the government. Not their neighbour. So don't believe all the videos you see on YouTube. And don't believe all the articles you read. They are mostly click bait.

Before Romania joined the EU (an extremely long time ago) places like Moldova, Tiraspol and even Romania where a bit better for mongering but now that Romania has joined the EU. Before Romania joined the EU (an extremely long time ago) places like Moldova, Tiraspol and even Romania where a bit better for mongering but now that Romania has joined the EU. All the women basically left through Romania and they only come back to showoff how rich / educated they now are. A Transnistrian citizen has dual citizenship and since Romania gives out passports like candy, a lot of citizens use it to travel.
You don't have to take my word for it, type in Transnistrian dual citizenship in Google and see for yourself. That's a major reason why mongering in Tiraspol is extremely dead.That makes sense. I am planning to travel to Chisinau, Moldova and I am considering making a stop in Tiraspol, Transnistria. I believe that the era of 1990's Eastern Europe has passed, and it is unlikely for me to come across a vulnerable girl who would agree to be a temporary girlfriend for a very low price. Unfortunately, I wasn't in Eastern Europe during that period. It looks like I missed out.

Especially when you are advising mongers to enter a country that has Russian soldiers stationed in it, under such a turbulent time as this. I have been to Tiraspol not too long ago and agree it was cheap and somewhat peaceful. However it was a terrible city for mongering, I had much more fun in Ukraine and no way would I go back to Tiraspol now with all the stuff Putin and the Russian army are doing.I agree that your statement is logical. It appears that some people try to present Eastern Europe as a perfect world only for men, but that may not be the case in actuality. As a US citizen, I would like to check out Tiraspol and Bender myself, but the US government recommends that no US citizen enter Transnistria and the US Embassy in Moldova won't be able to help you if something happens there.
