However, I did go to a restaurant that is very close to Adelita's and you may find this a good place to go recharge for a while.

If you go out the front door of Adelita's, look to your left as you are facing the street. Go in that direction to the first intersection and look diagonally across the intersection where you will see a tropical kind of place with a thatched roof right on the corner. I tried a few items off the menu and it was OK. Not the best Mexican food I ever had but it took the edge off. Prices have actually gone up. Used to be that we'd laugh at the girls when they said $60. then they'd go up for $40. Now that people are rolling over and paying the $50 to $60 prices, they'll only start edging up from there.

I'd like to give my first trip report.

I need to preface this by saying that this is my second time in TJ, and I'm an Asian guy who speaks fairly fluent Spanish.

Welcome Netman,
If you're going to spend the balance of your time and money at AB the getting a room at the Hotel Coahuila is a wise choice.

1) You should be able to get a room any night of the week except for Friday and Saturday when they are just too busy.
2) If I recall correctly the room rate is 35 dollars. Plus a 10 dollar key deposit.
3) You can take as many chicas up to your room as your wallet can manage.
4) There is no danger of being mugged but don't leave anything of value in your room unattended (I learned this the hard way).
5) They don't generally clean up your room between sessions but if you flag someone down and offer a tip I'm sure they'd be happy to.
6) Rooms for the night are on the third floor so they are usually pretty quiet and checkout time is 1 PM.

A couple of things I left out:
Since your room is on the third floor, no one is going to be knocking on your door saying that time is up. In fact, I once had a half hour session last a good two hours in my room last year!
Also, on my last trip it seemed that whenever I stepped out of the room for more than a couple of hours, someone came in and "soiled" the room in my absence.

Just got back from our Monday experience. Not bad actually. Its similar to weekday Days. Still an ok selection, but not as packed as a Wed/Thurs.

Just returned from a day trip to TJ. This was my second trip to Zona Norte- much better than the first. On that trip(a saturday), I wasted money on two street girls before hitting Adelita's. I have done both, but these days it just isn't worth driving across. You can park right at the border for $4-8 depending on the lot, and walk across. A taxi will cost you $3-5 (Taxi Libre/Yellow Cab) each way. So you are out a total of $10-18. By contrast, if you drive, you REALLY need to buy Mex insurance, $12-20 per day or night, $5 or so to park in a guarded lot, and sometimes a 2 hour wait, especially on weekends, to drive back through customs. You also risk the enormous hassles if you get in an accident, even if you have insurance, and the frequent shakedowns by the TJ cops. Ain't worth it, IMHO.

Ditto on taxis over driving. I think some guys are just so attached to their cars they can't get into taking taxis and public transportation. But if you're not staying overnight, I've never understood how taking your car is a better way to go. As mentioned, you really must get insurance, you then must fight the chaotic TJ traffic, you still have to pay for parking in TJ in most instances, and then you still worry all the while about getting your car dented by the attendant or ripped off. Then there's driving back across the border.

Really, unless you have a SENTRI pass and have already bought annual insurance, or you're staying for a number of days and need your car to drive to Ensenada or Tecate, etc., parking on the U.S. side and taking a taxi is just so much less worry and hassle. In the "old days", the Yellow Taxis had the gringo ripoff scam down to an art. It cost a minimum of $5 to take a taxi around the block. But the Taxi Libres have provided competition so that now you can almost always get a reasonable taxi fare to most places in TJ for well under the old $5 Yellow Taxi rate. Or take one of the many "de ruta" collectivos (the station wagons you see driving in hordes around TJ--they drive fixed routes, just like buses) for about 75 cents. You couldn't pay me to take my car to TJ.

No Zanax - You are correct in that my preference is Cialis. There are a couple of reasons for this. For one, a 20mg dose of Cialis lasts up to 36 hours (although realistically, after about 24 hours its usefulness starts to wear off). This allows you to pop a tablet as you cross the border and then head to la zona and take your time. You don't need to be in any hurry to pick a girl, and you can relax a bit with a few beers before choosing.

Another reason I like C is that it can be taken with food. Viagara can also be taken with food, but it becomes less effective as it is not absorbed as quickly into the bloodstream. As a result, you don't get as high a concentration of it in your body as you might like. Last reason that I like C is that I don't seem to get a headache with it. If you do use the others, and you are getting a headache, try taking 500mg of Tylenol just before you pop the tablet in. I have found that this can help.

I have not yet tried Levitra, but I know that the drug manufacturer is really pushing it in TJ. At every Farmacia that I go to, they always try to push it even after I ask For C. Clearly, there is some financial incentive for the Farmacias and the sales guys to push this over the other ones. Just be firm with what you want. I always politely decline by telling them that Cialis works best.

Nope, I don't get flushed, dizzy, nauesous or uneasy with Cialis, and this is one reason why I believe that it is (for me at least) better than Viagara. Cialis hit the market later than V and I think that it is a superior product.

If the side effects are really bugging you, try breaking a 20mg tablet and breaking it in half. Take only half a tablet or take a half tablet followed by the other half 3-4 hours later. This might help alleviate some of the side effects.

Had a couple hours to kill after business on Thursday and decided to make a run for the border. Hit up AB on Friday nite 7-15. Got there around 2am. DAYM the place was packed. Now I remember why I only go on weekdays. Anyways, it was still fun. Had some girl named Betty. As previously stated, have a cab take you to Adelita's. Don't believe the cab driver if he tells you it's closed. It never is. Just get another cab if he doesn't get with the program.

As for SG's, as you walk out of Adelita's, hang a right and then another right at the corner. You can't walk two steps without tripping over one of them. Heaviest congregation is in the Alley which is the first street behind and parralel to Adelita's.

Yup, it's a piece of cake to obtain Viagara, Cialis and Levitra in any Farmacia in TJ. Just ask for it by name and strength (I recommend the 20mg tablet - if you want to only take 10mg then just break it in half and save for later).

No prescription is required for virtually any drug in a Mexican Pharmacy, but just remember that by not having a script you are in technical violation of Mexican law (law says you do need a script but is ignored by everybody, including Farmacias). Since you are a gringo, the cops use this as a shakedown opportunity so buy it and then take it immediately. Don't keep it on you unless you have a script from a Mexican doctor (will cost about $25 to get one of these).

For the best price, when crossing the border by foot exit right through the turnstiles and cross the street (towards the Taxi Libres). This is called Pharmacy Alley and the first pharmacy you come to (a big store with a blue awning) has good prices - about $12.75 for a single tablet and about $48 for 4 20mg tablets. If you buy on Revolucion, you can pay as much as $15 a tablet.

Remember that all the pharmacies are still pushing Levitra (must be a financial incentive from the manufacturer because they are all doing it). Just politely decline and tell them that you prefer Cialis b/c it works best!

I'm going to agree with No Zanax, the new layout is a loser. Reminds me of the late 80s early 90s upgrades to redneck bars where they thought more flourescent lights that don't spell out beer names were "classy".

They have effectively killed off the left side in front of the bathroom central area by extending the bar. The back wall now has tables and booths. The effect is that it is now almost impossible to cruise hotty central and see what is going around.

Like NZ, I took a Saturday night stroll around the back alley after 9PM. They roped the road closed which made "strollin/trollin" much easier. The volume of chicas has doubled yet again. And while one or two school girl skirts were cute, to use it as a description is now as useless as " five foot two thin with as nice ass". there are dozens of 'em.

Went to check out Chicago, but frankly never though the selection was any better.

Interesting, and novel, technique. One caution I would give to new players, however, is that by not mentioning money up front you are exposing yourself to a big price inflation once the deed is done. Police at the Hoover dam use 9mm frangible ammo, (not +P+ though). I spoke to one of them about what they carried and he said that frangible ammo was all they were allowed to use, since it is very effective against soft tissue but will provide reduced ricochet properties and reduce damage to concrete and other hard materials due to the reduced penetration properties of the rounds.

Frangible ammo breaks apart into many small pieces and produces a fan-shaped wound channel. Arguably, the wider the pattern the better the chance of hitting vital organs, even with a poorly-placed shot. Thereby making even the widely perceived underpowered 9MM quite effective especially in a +P+ round, (higher pressure or "hotter load".)

Therefore, the Policia using this type of ammo would not all that exceptional. They have M16’s for god’s sake.

Haven't been to Adelitas's in six or seven months or so and was surprised by the changes. Bano remodelled and that was a nice change but the room seemed smalled as part of the back bar has been cut off.
What was nice was to see a pleasant change in scenery. Most of the older hookers have left and the younger ones have taken over.

Overall quality is up and numbers looked good. Arrived around 2:30 p.m. just to check it out and about 40 women present with a good selection. Returned around 8 p.m. and place was packed for a Wednesday night. Not as bad as the weekend and I could still walk around.

Ok so I finally made my trip down AB last weekend. Posts I read on this forum were very helpful. However, I still managed to get ripped off.

First thing I do is head over to AB. I sit around for a while, talk to this chica named "carmen" she looked hott inside however when we walked out the milage on her was evident. Anyways, I agreed on 60 (in hindsight that was stupid). My lack of spanish didnt help me with negotiating so I figured "what the heck."

We go upstairs and she asks for the money first. I say ill pay later, eventually I ended up paying first. After she recieved the money, she became a total *****. I mean she wouldnt even take off her top all the way. Very rushed and terrible attitude.This kind of experience is very common at AB. With a lot of experiences myself at AB, I have noticed two major problems with the place, problems that are not expressed well on this website. If these problems were eliminated, AB might attract ten times as much business as it has now. So my criticism here is constructive criticism.

SHORT-TIMING THE ROOMS

One major AB problem is short-timing the rooms, which brings more income to the girls and the hotel, at least short-term. AB has been routinely short-timing customers for years, and it is getting worse. The girl quotes you thirty minutes, then tells you to pay eleven dollars for the room, you go to the room, the knock on the door comes between five minutes and thirty minutes later, and the girl says she must leave. On Friday and Saturday nights, there is about zero chance of getting thirty minutes before the knock - the average is probably ten to fifteen minutes, with some fives and twenties also. Thursday and Sunday are less busy, but you can still be hit with a 5-minute knock. In one session of mine, there were knocks at 6, 8, and 10 minutes. And this was not on a Friday or Saturday. One Wednesday they hit me with a knock at 12 minutes. Most AB girls will use these early knocks as an excuse to leave. One former AB girl told me that the standard procedure at AB is for the girl to quote 30 minutes to the guy, but then the knock comes at 15 minutes. She also said that sometimes the knock comes at 5 or 10 minutes.

The following experience occurred at AB to a regular customer who had gone upstairs hundreds of times at AB over the years. He found one of his favorites in the bar, and they went upstairs. They were having sex not long after entering the room when a loud knock came. They ignored it, but more knocks came a few minutes later. The girl called out that they had just started, but the loud knocks continued at intervals. Eventually he came, they got up, the girl unlocked the door, and they started to clean up. The knocker came in and started cleaning the room while the couple was still undressed. If AB treats its regular customers this way, guess how they treat newcomers.

Any AB customer can verify this short-timing. Buy a watch for $10 (they keep perfect time), and take a pen and paper to AB. Then write down the time when you enter the room with your girl, when the first knock occurs, and when you stop touching her. Without a watch, pen, and paper, only useless time estimates can be made by a guy who is intoxicated, sexually aroused, feeling rushed, and wanting an experience to brag about.

UGLY EXPERIENCES WITH THE GIRLS

The other common major problem at AB is the girl creating an ugly experience for you in the room. The following scenario is worse than most ugly AB experiences, but a lot of them fit into this pattern.

You spot a beautiful girl in the club, you approach her and talk to her. She smiles at you, comes close, and touches you affectionately. She agrees to what you want - oral sex, specific positions, a variety of positions. She says we will do everything, you will be happy. She is warm, gentle, and eager to please. When you ask how long, she says thirty minutes. You agree on a price, she takes your hand and gently guides you out of the bar and up the stairs. In the room, after she gets your money, her affection disappears, and she becomes cold and demanding. Her face at times shows disgust or anger. Her remarks may go something like the following, where ". . ." indicates some passage of time :

"First pay me. . . Thank you. . . Wash your hands. . . No, the light stays off. . . Hurry and get undressed. . . Lie on the bed. . . No, turn around so your head is here. . . Here - your head must be here. . . Now I put the condom on you and suck you. . . You like? . . Now you on top. . . Hurry and finish quickly. . . Don't touch me there. . . Don't do that. . . Leave my legs where they are. . . Don't push so deeply. . . Finish soon. . . No, no more positions. . . Stop that. . . You are crazy. . . To do that, pay me $10 more. . . Finish now - your time is almost done. . . No more time - finish now. . . Why are you getting soft - do you prefer boys? . . Stop - pull out of me. I need to go back for more customers." Total elapsed time for these statements : ten minutes.

Many guys may be able to have an orgasm despite all this abuse, but being turned off is a real possibility. The girl may have tried to turn you off so she can leave sooner and do less work. Such girls do work at AB. Another scam at AB is girls who take your money, then refuse to take off their clothes until you pay them 10 or 20 dollars more. I have not figured out how to avoid these swindlers. Since they intend to swindle you, no amount of negotiating will pierce their facade. Being fluent in Spanish will only help you negotiate with the girls who are honest or partly honest.

Despite many ugly AB experiences, I continued going to AB for the good experiences. Eventually I noticed that Chicago Club provides better experiences on average - more great experiences, more frequent good experiences, less frequent ugly experiences, and fewer disasters. Also, my AB experiences have been gradually deteriorating for years, while my CC experiences have been improving. Probably other clubs besides CC also provide better experiences than AB. I hope AB cleans up its act. Everyone will benefit, even AB.

I have had that type of service more with the street girls. From what I've heard this happens more with the young hot ones. Unfortunately, they are the only ones that I want to get with.

When I lived in San Diego I frequented TJ a great deal. The only way I enjoyed AB was to get a room there for the night. It was 35 bucks but was sometimes difficult to get. Though I was a regular, there were many times I was denied overnight accomodations.

There were many rooms that did not even have keys. This was okay for me since I rarely ever carried anything down there worth stealing.

And when the mongering is over for you, it is hard to get any sleep.

I am glad I left a few years ago to see what is going on elsewhere. TJ has a lot to learn about customer service. I have to many places where the establishments and girls treat a monger much better for lower prices.

Made a daytime trip yesterday. Got to AB about 1:00PM. The place was packed! While the new men's room rennovation is nice, the place has really gone downhill with the remodeling. Seems too small and it smelled bad in there.

Many men that go to TJ feel that they have are better than the locals. This is a mistake and will often times lead to a situation in which one finds themselves being humbled. Attempt to be respectful but firm at all times.

When searching out a female, try to begin somewhere other than hottie central. The hottie central hot spot can be seen direct ahead when you enter the club off to the right. You will see a group of normally good looking ladies bouncing to the music, and looking around like ravenous wolves. There may be a nice one in the bunch but do a fly by first. If one catches the eye, come back around later. In this section of the club these ladies are going and coming so fast that the level off service has to be rushed. You have heard it before," you no cum yet". The ladies that are going up often are normally very professional. They are making money all day and night long and would just as well let you go, than bargain or deal with a man with a lot of expectations.

My past experiences have always been better when I have found a lady that was willing to sit down and chat. If she is short in her conversation, and not willing to open up I take that as a warning sing. I normally do buy a drink but it is not necessary. Just let her know that you would like to get a feel for her before going up to the room. Avoid letting some lady choose you, by showing up out of the blue and saying “you go to room “. The likelihood for disappointment is many times high under that circumstance.

She is a pro and just wants to get it over with and get paid. If a woman insists on getting paid upfront, even though she knows that there is no way that a man can just walk away without paying in TJ, she is all wrong. Just say no, even if you have paid for the room. Again the ladies that you see going upstairs and coming back down within minutes, avoid them like the plague.

While I do go to TJ to get laid, if it don't fit, I don’t force it. I want to have a good time. But, I follow my gut. If I can see that my choice is going to be difficult, I leave it alone. If I choose to go upstairs I keep my eyes on the attitude, and bail at the first sign of trouble.

I had an experience a couple of months ago. I found the lady. We agreed on what we were to do, and on a price. We went upstairs and paid for the room. Once in the room she started to renegotiate with me, raising the price and insisting that I pay up front. When we were downstairs, she was agreeable but she had an attitude. It never does.

Was near San Diego on business last week, so headed down to TJ on Thursday night (about 10pm). Parked in the $4 lot on the east side rather than the $8 lot on the west side.
