Something else I've always wondered about: here in the States you can get an average escort for about $140 or so, give or take. I have just returned from TJ, literally just crossed back over the border. I spent 2 days here at the border and here is my report on my time spent:

On price points, etc. One thing I do is go to TJ during the daytime and/or on midweek days. usually prices are less. Personally, and this is true, I have never paid more than $30 in Adelitas (I have not been in Chicago bar in awhile, but I never paid more than that there either).
When the place is packed girls will always charge more.
I also have a cheapskate friend who refuses to buy beer in the bars. The girls always rush to leave with him becuase he comes to TJ regularly. So going down to TJ on a regular basis also drops the price. He usually pays around $30,too.

This is common at other bars such as Adelitas, HK even Tropical but rare. You just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The CC waiters will always come up and solicit you for drinks, after all, they don't cater to guys taking up space but not spending money. Most will allow you to cruise through even make a couple of loops around the bar, no problem. Often times I am just talking to an amiga there, no drink bought. sorry to say this, but you won't win. it's basically because you are required to buy a drink if your going to sit and watch. not so much if your standing but that only applies if the club is crowded. the club owner makes the meseros be pushy. that's how they make their money, selling drinks to the patrons. it's the same in all the clubs. at least all the ones i've been too. i guess you can consider it an entrance fee. if you buy only water like i do, then it's only $5 bucks and that includes the tip.

The clubs make a lot of money off the drinks, not so much the girls. The waiters especially make more from the tips for serving beer than from you taking a girl upstairs. The mesero is probably working under the instructions of the owner of the bar to get rid of people not buying drinks. A good customer to the bar is one who buys a lot of drinks and tips well. One who is only shopping for a girl isn't making them money.
You will get kicked out of US clubs for not ordering drinks too.

I was there Friday night from 8 to 11:30 with my girlie. We had a great time. The Zona was like a ghost town. Never saw it so dead and devoid of gringo traffic. Very scary.

HK or Hong Kong bar has a girl/girl with shaving cream show nightly. Last time I was there the shows were at 8pm and 12am. Often there are three a night. I suspect the actual time depends on the amount of business, girl availability, and night of the week. Ask the doorman and he'll let you know. Definitely get there before 8pm for the early show. HK is in the Alley, it is one of the big three of clubs.
I like HK over the other places because it is more like a nightclub/strip bar. The difference is of course you can take the dancer next door and do the dirty deed with her.

I was told AB has a tiered structure.
It's something like: (note each typical drink is worth 2 ficha tickets)
If a girl goes arriba 0-1 times during the night she needs 4 ficha tickets in hand but will be paid out 30 pesos per ticket.
If she goes arriba 2-3 times during the night she needs 12 ficha tickets.
If she goes arriba more than 3 times she needs 20 ficha tickets.
If a girl is short on the number of tickets needed, she needs to pay FULL price for the ficha ticket from the bartender, but gets 30 pesos back per ticket. So a girl is out 60 pesos (at 12-1 exchange) per ficha ticket she buys.
Chicago pays the girls the most per ficha ticket in the Zona at either 40 pesos or $4 per ficha (unclear).

I've had several tell me of the 12 hours shifts. I used to know one who lived upstairs, and she told me she worked every day. :eek: She took off a day here and there. So, I assumed it was for 5, maybe 6 days a week. But that part was an assumption. If you have the option of working 3 or 4 days a week, then it wouldn't be so bad.

I agree, and it's a chicken and egg thing. No chicas, no customers. No customers, no chicas. I don't blame management for trying to enforce some promptness, but they really have to hold up their end by convincing guys to wander across the street and spend money.

I theorize that even though they compete with each other to attract customers, they present a unified front in the battle between management and labor. Any owner who stepped out of line and started being nice to the girls would probably find himself the cynosure of opprobium.

Chevalas and Hong Kong both use Hotel Cascadas for arribas. So if you've taken a girl upstairs from Hong Kong, you know what the room are like.
HK is good at what they do but I kinda like not being pestered all the time by chicas and meseros. Slow small club like CC has its niche for guys like me, pretty easy to get a chica to remember you and to do stuff like dates outside the club later too.. Not as many meseros and customers so they know you and leave you alone after only a few visits. HK is so busy they dont give a shit cause they dont have to unless you really drop alot of money. Never a cover to get in and just look around in CC, and rooms are still just 11 bucks instead of HK's $15 and they dont bug you to pay $1 to rent a coat for the chica to go to the hotel. No stupid HK $3 bag of chips the meseros try to say you ordered.
CC is slower often pretty dead and when you find a chica you like thats cool heck you can park your ass for a long long time with just 1 drink and most chicas will go 2-3 knocks so many 30 min arribas wind up 40 min. Plus nearly all the CC girls will shower after a arriba, most AB and HK chicas wont and just do a sinkwash of their pussy. THink about that when your sucking on you favoritas tits or neck or belly and with high milage HK and AB you might be her 5th or 10th guy of the night... you've essentially got saliva of lots of other guys mouths in yours!
HK has more noise, more people, more shows but most of the time I prefer to just hang out and chat and cuddle with a favorita without too many distractions and eventually take her upstairs and f#ck her.
Zona is great cause guys have different tastes and there are different styles of bars to meet them or street girls since alot of guys hate bars and bargirls. It doesnt mean if its not your style that its bad Peter.
Chicago club is often slow but that can be great since if you like a slower smaller club where you know the girls and they know you and after awhile treat you pretty well and youre not just the 2000th Tom Dick or Harry theyve seen walk in the club, then Chicago Club is good for that. Adelitas is good for an even bigger selection of chicas and they are ALL always ready to fuck vs alot of HK chicas that wont... especially some of the edacanes. It is mainly a fuck factory so its hard to develop much of a good client friendship with alot of the ladies since they get pretty mercenary in attitude.
If you want a glitzy crowded American style strip club playing lots of American music then HK is for you lots of girls and lots of men 200-500 people inside on weekend nights. They do have the most dancers and puts on the most shows in TJ. You seem to constantly be in HK so prob the door guys would remember you but HK has ALOT of meseros and customers so most guys are not so lucky as you.
If you want a fresh off the bus chica from outside TJ then Bar Tropical is more your style, Spanish is a must though if you really want to connect with a newer chica there. If you like dancing with the chicas and drinking and enjoy Mexican music and dance then LasChevales is for you. LC the place is packed like sardines when there is a popular band playing there. Then the small little bars like are ok if you REALLY like hangin with the locals and your spanish better be really good. If your a gringo or chino you'd better have a thick skin though hehe.

Correct. I like going to the zona during the week -- Wednesday or Thursday -- because most of the a-list girls are working but there's not the crowds. I was in Chicago last night. My favorite girls were there. There were a handful of customers. Since I was there last month, it seems like they've gotten rid of a few of the older/uglier chicas and have a few newer girls that are easy on the eyes. A few gringa looking blondes. I can not help but think back to the days of when CC was the place to be. For me it was the years from about 1998 through 2004. I have spent mucho denaro in that place on the beer and especially the women. Many, many hours just laughing, drinking, partying.
I have had some of my very favorites out of CC. Over the years a few even turned into a, dare to say, friendship. Yes I would spend days or weekends with them, movies, restaurants, beach, met their families, played with their kids, celebrated birthdays with them. Arranged meetings in San Diego. A few even wanted marraige (no thank you).
Perhaps one day, sometime in the furture, the tide will turn and CC will be ressurected again. Until then, I will be seeing you all at HK this weekend!

I dont think it ever will go back to being popular since the place is tiny and rundown compared to HK and the ownership is kinda clueless... It's low key style will not attract many guys many of whom are surprisingly very afraid to approach a girl in a puta bar! CC pretty much have been recruiters for new HK chicas.. new talent hangs around for a couple of weeks and then jumps ship to HK and sometimes AB... HK with sharky chicas is pretty much the way alot guys like it since they come to you and you can paw and finger poke em for a buck or two.
It still is nice to have a quiet hangout and not get pestered and definitely a good place to start actual friendships with chicas since youre not simply another John out of hundreds and hundreds theyve seen running around the club that day.
But the magic of the zona is that within a 100 yard radius you pretty much have your choice of several bars with very different styles, street girls in the alley or street walkers and more...

CC usually doesnt start up till after 10pm and Chicago is always a low key place.. like a Chicago speakeasy and the chicas are more naturally laid back and low mileage and too damm easy to become friends and start doing stuff outside the club (thats when it really gets too expensive)... Friday and Saturday you know which absent chicas (alot of the hotter ones) have the all night sessions, or day dates doing stuff with their sugardaddys cause they showed up on thurs or wed nights when daddy is busy :). Some ways reminds me of old Mexico Lindo.
HK is a good shark tank with alot of aggressive girls cause they have to to survive in there. Lots of chicas there from AB and Chicago there so lots of fun reunions... :) Its apples and oranges in terms of flavor and I wouldnt like CC if they tried to become another HK. Yeah have friends say places in Pattaya and PI have 10 times the chicas of HK and TJ is shit for even latinas compared to Costa Rica, Colombia, and Argentina mongering but TJ has very different styles and types of girls all in one single area and close by.
Which CC chica wont go arriba? Pretty much they all do. Usually its only the new recruits that try to pull that shit for awhile till they learn they gotta fuck or make hardly any money or else the guys gonna move on to another chica who will fuck or else the chica moves onto HK where they can pull that shit if they are hot or sharky enough. HK is the place where alot of the hottest chicas and dancers dont want to arriba since they make plenty off of tips and drinks. HK is definitely for you then if you like mercenary chicas heheh, couple of buddies tonight ran into the drink only Hong Kong chicas who dont want to fuck... wtf? Even in alot of your reports you also have run into alot of HK chicas that dont arriba or quote way high prices like $80 or 100 for 1/2 hour cause they are just not that hungry to want to fuck for 60 or less.
Hehe thats one good thing about CC is its dead enough so no chica can last long without fucking, unless she hooks some real suckers... one recent one trying to not fuck in a puta bar changed her mind for me tonight after about a couple of weeks of low earnings
