I've only gotten colds from girls in Tijuana which often times will have sore throat as a symptom. Remember Occam's Razor. Oft times the most obvious, simple explanation is the actual explanation. The clubs are great places to spread non-STIs like colds, flu, strep throat, &c because of all the people.
It is probably too early for physical symptoms of an STI to manifest itself. Especially in a non contact area like you're throat. If you're losing sleep over it, go see a doctor.

Please read topics on HIV transmission. Man to woman more likely than the other way around, unless there is a significant cut or wound. I read through many report when I was collecting data on transmission of this STDs. The fear and woory are the main culprits and for your satisfaction, you may do the checkup after 10-12 weeks.

You need to relax. Of course it is possible you got HIV from someone due 90 seconds of barebacking but it isn't that probable. It is also possible, yet improbable that you got her pregnant with precum while barebacking. It is possible, but slightly more probable you make have picked up another STI as well. Even if you always wear a condom, you're engaging in higher risk sex and should get tested for HIV, Hepatitis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Syphilis on a regular basis.
It is true that the girls can't work w/o a health card. But also keep in mind that the health card should not provide an ironclad sense of security. By the time a working girl tests positive for HIV she may have banged many more partners. She'll be taken out of circulation after the test, but didn't protect people during the window period. But the 30 day testing requirement in TJ and porn valley is the most practical way to keep things in check.
HIV tests have a "window period" of 3 weeks to six months where someone could be infected but will not show up on tests. Although many cases pop up after a month. That means for someone sexually active, a test on the 28th of September that comes back negative for HIV means that she was clean in February to August. Had she become infected on August 29th, the tests may not show it until October 28th at the earliest or early next year at the latest. Because, like all the girls I've been with at Chicago and the other major bars, require condoms, stop when the condom breaks, and generally practices safer sex methods, you're most likely in the clear. You can usually get a vibe from the girls about how well they take care of themselves and the importance they place on their health.
If I were you, I'd remain calm and in about 30 days go get a full STI workup (the window period for most STIs are about a month except Gonorrhea which may present itself within days and you'll know you have it in most cases). Use the time you're waiting to do as much research as you can about STIs because it will help you understand the probabilities and should help you feel better.
I've had condoms break and on rare occasion not used them with girls in Mexico and Thailand and so far have only caught colds from the girls. I hate that feeling you're feeling now, but I try to stay informed and get tested regularly (every 6 months, but sooner if the condom broke or I did something stupid).
Finally, if you like those 15 minute long covered blow jobs, make sure you change condoms before sex because the occasional teeth and suction for that period of time would weaken it. I bring my own condoms (Crown or Beyond 7) and if I'm in the mood for an extended covered bj I'll have her use the house condom for the mouth and my condom for the sex.

The municipal health department of Tijuana registers these people and gives them routine exams. The women (and men) actually have health cards that they are required to show to authorities. Although it is a legal requirement to register, not all of these service people choose to register with the health department. In fact, based upon the statistics below, it looks like more are not registered than are registered. Some interesting statistics were disclosed:
* There are currently 5,976 active registered sexoservidoras in Tijuana
* For the first three quarters of 2010, they have detected two cases of HIV infection
* For the first three quarters of 2010, they have detected 75 cases of fungal vaginitis, 8 cases of gonorrhea and 9 condylomata genital warts
Maybe I should have warned the readers to not look at this until after breakfast?
In any event, this is apparently one of the growth industries in Tijuana. Angel Casillas De la Torre, director of the health department, says the number of prostitutes in Tijuana is growing at an incredible rate. Last year there were but 3,000 registered sexoservidoras. The cadre has doubled in a year. It's either that, or most of the sexoservidoras were not registered and getting their health checks.

Do a little research of your own. You will find that is is extremely difficult for a man to get HIV from a woman. It's much easier for the woman to get it from a man. It happens, but it's very long odds. A couple of minutes of a broken condom? Forget it!!
The biggest problem, IMHO, is that the HIV thing has become so politicized. Everybody wants some sort of gov't funding for their research project. So, the stats are skewed to please whatever gov't body is funding the particular study.
Fact is, most HIV is still spread via unprotected anal sex and IV drug use. If you're not into either of these things, your odds of contracting HIV go waaaay down. In your case, they're absolutely miniscule.
Go get some non-latex condoms. Avanti Bare is a good one. They work as well, or better, than a latex unit. And they tend to be "tougher," i.e. they don't tear as easily.

Not everyone knows that the average rate is $60 or that many chicas go for $50 or less if you have bought a couple of drinks. Well, I am back from my trip and let me tell you, it was fun. The place has really improved compared to the old days. There are palm trees now downtown and it's very lit up. If the bars didn't mandate ficha drink sales, nobody would pay inflated prices for tiny beers. The bar is there to sell drinks, not to simply facilitate liasons.
Each bar seems to have their own variation on a common theme - Some sort of mechanism to ensure ficha sales. Of course, if you're a consistent earner you can probably do as you please. In any case, the girls turn in their fichas nightly, and they're logged. When the girl goes arriba, it's logged, too. Management doesn't do all that bookkeeping just for its health. If little Maria is going arriba 3 times a night, and has no fichas to show for it, you know she's going to be on the business end of a rather stern lecture.

She also told me that for every time she goes arriba, she was expected to get 3 ficha tickets.
In all cases described above, if she didn't meet her quota, she would have to pay the difference herself.
Is this information reliable? Who knows, but at the least I think it suggests that there actually is a standard quota for ficha tickets that the girls need to meet.

If a girl is MIA for her shifts, she typically gets penalties like increased fichas, mandatory shifts in a row, or having sex / BJ with the door guy Mario (I think that's his name).
Before Adelitas used to have a sliding scale on the number of fichas required for going upstairs (a few tickets if you just went up 1-2 times up to a max of 10 if you went up more than 4 times) , but with less business I could see them making a flat ficha tax on the girls per trip arriba.

Anyway, the stupid owner of CC decided to kick out the yellow cab company that used to park in front of the club, they used to bring old and new customers to the place, when ever a taxi cab driver would pick up someone who was looking for action and didn't know how to get to la zona they would bring them to Chicago, that was their competitive advantage back in the 90's against Adelitas which always has based its advantage on Barbie like girls.
Well, somebody gave him the idea to kick out the yellow cab company and replace them with another company to save on kickbacks, the yellow cab company kept doing business in la zona and even started talking shit against CC telling newbies the place was a tourist trap and they would steal their money and things like that, it wasn't long before no new business was coming in, the girls noticed and starting looking for other places to work.
And that's that! You know what they say, don't fix it if it isn't broken.

I just returned from my travels and still trying to wrap my head around this story, it is pretty gruesome, she may have had her attitude problems, but this is just messed up, I can only wonder what will happen to her child.

Very cute girl. Kinda looks like venecia at HK. They can be sisters. Bought her a couple of drinks and decided to go upstairs with her. She provided your basic services that you would get at any of the clubs. And that's where I was a little let down. This is not her fault and that's due to me being spoiled by my fav's in Tijuana. She is friendly and not business like but still a newbie to this line of work. She speaks little to none english but google translator came in handy. They have wi-fi there so its a perk if you need to get online.

The story that I got from everybody including the manager Miguel is that she started to live with the DJ, Omar and that they got into a fight about her stealing money out of his bank account. She stabbed him first and then he went berzerk and killed her. To try to cover it up he cut off her arms and legs and fake tits and stuffed her in a suitcase and left the suitcase in Rosarito. He ended up in the hospital from the wounds that she gave him. A couple of gals that work in Chicago went to visit him in the hospital and he confessed to killing her to them and told them the above story.

I saw the owner a while back, a middle aged man. One chica told me that he simply just would like to keep the club as it was with a low profile. I had no idea if it was due to the feud among the club owners.
I totally agree with you that the chicas at CC provide great service. I also heard that the owner of HK, TB and LC died at the age of 70 something while a HK chica was on top of him riding him CG. Now the sons took over. Anyway, that was a hell of a way to go, don't you think?

At night, while not as many woman, and most there are not that attractive, I have always seen two or three attractive woman at night. The service I had here was generally much better, not rushed as HK, or especially Adelitas. Probably worth a look at night, but if nothing interests you, there are plenty of other options.
I was doing a pub crawl on Saturday night, with a chica in my rotation, Ms. Scatterbrain. Both being busy with work, our schedules never synced and neither had been to the Zona in a long time.
As an aside, biz seems to be picking up for Adelita, which was a SRO sausage fest around 11-ish. Ugh. There was a line of about 10 guys waiting to get into HK. No way in hell am I doing that.
So, we made it to Chicago around 12:30. In the old days it would be heaving. I knew it would be slow, but figured it would be somewhat busy on a Saturday night. Wrong!
While sitting in a booth, I did a quick count. Roughly 30 people, not including wait staff. Approximately 1:1 ratio of customers to ladies. Not exactly, as there were a few available ladies loafing around. Several were attractive and do-able.
The music was a better mix than I remember, but the "stripping" was as lame as I've seen. One (yes, ONE) tall thin chica actually removed her clothes as she demonstrated how the pole and ring are supposed to be used. All the others merely danced around, more or less fully clothed. One minor exception was a dark "Veracruz" type chica. As the very end of her last song she managed to get her bra off, but kept her arm positioned across her boobs, which looked as if they may have actually been worth a look. Then, as she was dropping her arm, the song ended, she turned her back, grabbed her bra, ran off to a corner booth as if being chased, and quickly got dressed.
Finished our beer and hit the door. Man, how this place stays in business is baffling to me.

The large construction zone that you've seen is at the next hotel to the North of Jalos / Chicago, called Hotel Leyva. It is hotel Leyva, and not Chicago Club's hotel that has a significant-sized wing in the front that is currently under construction. So the S / T rooms for CC are largely unaffected.
Oh man, this was my first stop at about 9:30 pm last night (Saturday). I really tried my best to like this place. I even took a walk down memory lane to the booth where I met my first tijuana Favorite.
But the girls here are sooooooo FUGLY. Fat and ugly. I was tempted to tell management to pay off the police to bring some girls from the alley to this bar. In the end, I simply had to vamos. What happenned to this bar is a travesty!

Besides that, I had some of my best sessions in that club. Some of the girls will come to your hotel before their shift starts, others after their shift ends.

Had many good times in Chicago a few years back. I used to drink at the bar and wait after midnight for the hottest chicas to show up.
There were 2 sisters from Monterrey. The older one was skinny and looked like a movie star, also nice as hell. The younger one was heavier and had a slight harelip and. Both were very nice, sweet, mellow in bed.

Any comments on this theory?IMHO, Chicago ladies (notice I did not write chicas, girls or anything else that would remotely suggest that they were under 40) are terribly unattractive. That is if they are even in the club in the first place. There is a very real probability that when you walk in you will be greeted by three waiters and no ladies at all regardless the time of day.

Next door to the building containing Hotel Jalos and Chicago Club is Hotel Leyva. The cheapest rooms in the Leyva rent for 320 pesos a night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. They charge no joiner (per chica) fees at the Leyva.

I handed over 300 peso and got 30-40 back in coins, after 2 months the coins still confuses me. I still have to look for the numbers on them. The hotel above gloria is decent for 60 peso for 1\2 hr. I think that's what I paid taking a SG up there. Rarely have time during the weekends, I can only make time on Tues or Wed, and sometimes Thurs. I'll look into it for you tonight.

Well I've only been to the ZN once. Last year. I'll be there again once. Next month. Last year I only stepped into HK and TB ending up with a Hotty from TB for a good experience. I had to negotiate for a while to get her for $60.
Theory- although the pickings are less at Chicago Club (per what I've read), I figure I could negotiate for extras like longer time, GFE, and pics for less $$$ and get my rocks off since the supply (customers) is lower than the demand (girls needing monger money). Then I can go to the higher end bars afterwards and focus on getting a beauty for round two (or three).

At the Leyva they charge a lower weekday rate Monday thru Thursday and a slightly higher weekend rate on Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights for the sane rooms.
Leyva charges more for the (relatively) newer single rooms in the 5-story tower structure (facing Constitution) with different weekday & weekend rates.
The double rooms cost even a little more, and also have different weekday & weekend rates.
For example, I stayed in a double room a few times in early winter. The double room rate was 390 pesos on weekdays, 450 on three weekend nights and (I think) 1,890 or 1,920 pesos for a week. Now that they are using a higher exchange rate than back in early winter, these double-room rates may have changed.
The hotel above La Gloria is called Hotel Garcia. The rooms are cheap and clean, but they charge joiner fees and music from La Gloria can be very loud in some of Hotel Garcia's rooms.

You'll find nobody there before 8 pm, and few people after that. A Friday or Saturday, probably after 10 pm, is your best bet.

The Chicago Club may be starting a half-hearted come-back. On Friday at 10:30 PM, there were 7 actual customers, and 18 girls. And for the most part, the girls were pretty good looking. That's a big step up from what I've been used to.

Inside the place was nice and clean with soft lighting and decent sound quality, but there were no customers, no stripper at the pole, only 3 chubbies sitting forlornly at the bar, giving me their desperate eyes.
Chicago has been dead for a few years. It's the biggest waste of assets and opportunities in North America to bring good incomes and orgasms to sweet Mexican girls, also good female companies, sexual satisfaction and happiness to lots of lonely and horny gringos.
A few other bars in la Zona, the &G next to La Perla and New York etc. Have some very good-looking girls working, but rarely have any customers. Saw about 50 elderly Chinese tourists walking nearby earlier in a tour group. They have some new girls. And I really like the remodel. Its worth checking out if you haven't been there in awhile. On another note, they got some new waiters. Looks like they're investing some money and at least trying to bring the club back, as it's been horrible for years now. I ended up with a tall girl from Guadalajara who was one of the dancers. She was terrific and we did an hour upstairs in the hotel. The one hit was $30 for the room for an hour, even though though the room was OK that's high for ZN.
Went back the following weekend and it was a bit more crowded. Found the same girl and had a good time again. Even the maseros were OK, none of that hide the coins BS. It's still nowhere near the place Hong Kong is, but I found it to be a nice break as it's way less packed and more laid back. If you haven't been in there in awhile I'd check it out. I know the place is named Chicago but do they really have to be cliche with it by playing the tommy sub machine gun outside? It does sound cartoony but if this is your first time in the area and you turn on the corner of the main street where Hong Kong, Adelita, and Tropical is, it's kind of sketchy cause of the instability of the region. Went in and this place is still basically dead. Has the blue light set up in the whole club. Doesn't look like they upgraded anything. Only about a dozen girls working in there and about 6 patrons. Guess the waiters were happy to see 4 asian guys walk in so like 3 of them ushered us to sit and asked what we wanted to drink. Honestly I just took another glance around and stood up and headed towards the exit. As we were leaving they kept calling us to come back. You can skip this too not much to see. Only reason we swung by is to show 2 of the new guys that were with us the whole area and what this street had to offer.

The mariscos guy gave me a Chicago's free beer coupon a few weeks back. I gave it to my wingman, expecting Chicago would still be handing out coupons at least for a few more months to ramp up their new business.
Saturday night after eating the camaron coctele, the mariscos guys said no more Chicago coupon. The wingman and I went into Chicago. I asked the meseros about coupons, they said no more coupons. While HK serves all kinds of premium imported beers, Chicago only serves local brands, XX, SOL, TECATE. I am not an expert in the puta bar business, but looks like Chicago does not have enough cash or credit, so distributors of premium brands won't sell them.
Having little business, Chicago must have severe cash flow problems, paying operating expenses, rent, utilities, taxes and wages for those girls to sit on their asses all night waiting for generous guys who never come.

CC was the happening spot when HK was just a small, dumpy club with a few poles, and Miami was a small club that shared a door with HK. Then some genius in the HK ownership invested a boatload of money and turned HK into a large, US-style strip club. But a US-style strip club with Mexican contact rules. All the gringos flocked from CC to HK. The gringo pool never got larger and, in fact, got much smaller after they tightened the passport requirements and border controls. Why CC didn't fight back earlier, I'm not sure. But I think the gringo pool may have grown some, and lots of guys (not nearly enough) are calling BS on $100/20 minute arribas. I think this is the opportunity CC may have to steal some customers from HK and increase their market share.

How do you close these girls to make out? I assume you speak Spanish since it seems difficult to have a meaningful conversation given how many of the girls I met don't speak English very well. Kissing. I just buy them a drink, then lean over and kiss them gently during small talk. If they don't kiss downstairs, they're not going to kiss upstairs regardless of what ever kind of promises they give to get you upstairs. Sometimes my Spanish is going, sometimes it is not so I just speak English. The chicas are intuitive and will pick up my body language. What ever you do, don't clam up because you are embarrassed that you don't speak Spanish. Mexican girls are very nice and forgiving.
Went again to Chicago club LOL this club intrigues me and the dollar beers brings me back but no woman came up to me. Not sure why 2 kept looking at me. Got to ZN around 8 pm on Wednesday. Walked Constitucion from Primera, turned west and headed through the alley, which was sparsely populated. Swung around the block and in to Adelitas for a couple of beers. The talent wasn't bad, but I figured it would get better later in the evening, so I left to try my luck elsewhere. Crossed the street and headed to Tropical where the talent was pathetic at best. Definitely the worst I've seen there. Had seen the increase in posts for Chicago, so I decided to give it a shot. I hadn't set foot in the place in about 10 years, so as far as the upgrades go, I can't really give a comparison because my memory doesn't serve me all that well, but I think I saw in a report that someone described it as striving for something between Adelitas and Hong Kong? Maybe. The talent certainly isn't there. But was certainly better than Tropical, and close to Adelitas, with fewer to choose from.
There were probably 20 girls and 10 guys hanging out. The mesero was attentive, but not super pushy. He brought me a girl and at first I thought about declining her because I felt more in a mood to scope out the scene and kick back at that point, but decided to grab a booth and have a drink with her. I don't recall the exact price for the ficha. Around $8, I think. I asked about going arriba, and the girl, who said she's new and had only been there a few days (not sure I buy that) quoted me $50 and $15 for the room, after double-checking with the mesero. After the deed, with my curiosity for the new Chicago satisfied (along with being satisfied otherwise), I headed back over to AB to see if things had picked up. More girls had come on to their shifts, but I picked a regular favorite and went up one more time before heading home for the night.
