It is in Blok M, Jalan falatehan. Any taxi driver will take you there. It's also within a short walking distance from Pasaraya shopping mall, after and behind the bus station, but you'd have to know how to get there. Just ask anyway.

And, no, it is not always clear where these posts are referring to. If you scroll through you will notice that the Photo Gallery is not used for photos alone, there are reports posted here too. So, it is far cleaner to specify the location, both when posting photos and reports, and not leave it up to guesswork. Maybe someone who reads a thread regularly will know that it is normal practice to state when a photo is from outside Jakarta (not necessarily true). But a lot of people who don’t follow a thread skim through them also, and are not aware of this type of shorthand. Ambiguity simply lessens the value of an otherwise good post.

I think this one should have report AND pix. Here goes.
Decided to try somewhere I'the never been before, so on advice from a mate, took a trip to the basement of Le Meridien Hotel. Got there about 10pm. A bit early so not much talent around. A few years back I had more or less the same problem whereby the girl didnt' keep her part of the bargain by wanting to leave earlier than agreed which resulted in me giving her about 60% of the negotiated amount. She got mad, poured crocodile tears and then started threatening and threw the money on the floor ... before picking it up again when she realized that she was not getting anything more.
I did what Bulai suggests: threatened back to call security to throw her out and ban her from Tiga Puluh, and it worked. Morale of the story is guys:
- DO NOT GIVE IN TO THEIR THREATS, but on the other hand, it's always sooooo much simpler to just agree on the costs before you take them up to save you the hassle,
- Throw the money on the floor if she refuses to take it though she will: you may get lucky if she leaves some more there ... (just joking ...)

I live in an apartment complex where mostly locals are tenants. I think the security would believe I was crazy if I called them to come up to handle a dispute I was having with a girl I willingly invited into my apartment. Security here does little more than call taxis and open the door for people. The security blanket will work in the 5 star hotels though.
I've lived in Jakarta 7 years though and have never had an occassion where the girl got so out of hand that I couldn't handle the situation myself. Then again, as soon as I tell these girls where I live, they know darn well that I know the score and that I'm "bule basi". They don't expect any more than 500k from me. Honestly, that girl would have likely lost interest in me 2 seconds after I had told her where I live.
Girls looking for over 500k are looking for guys who stay in expensive 5 star hotels or live in expensive accommodations. One good way to avoid a scene like that is to stay in a crap hotel or merely lie to them and tell them you are staying at a crap hotel. That way they don't have high expectations and will be pleasantly surprised when you take them to your actual hotel. Once the girl hears you are staying in a cheap hotel, she won't expect over 500k. My guess is she wouldn't have gone with you at all though if you were staying at a crap hotel if money was her only objective. Those girls are clever. Ever notice that some of the first questions they work into the conversation are "where do you stay" and "how long have you been in town"?
In my opinion, if the girl wants 1 million, she damn well better let you know that up front. Otherwise 500k is completely fair for any girl. If they aren't happy with 500k, that's tough.

When I said call security I was of course assuming the event(s) in question are in a hotel. If you have local accomodation then it's a different story, when I was living in JKT on a long-term basis I was more careful who I took home - though probably not careful enough with hindsight.

I went on the prowl last night and was very pleasantly surprised that there are a lot of good looking girls in Bali at the moment, I looked around all the clubs in Seminyak and Kuta and found many, many new girls. Why do these images look like they have just been lifted from another website... I really have to question if they are truly your shots again. There arent many mongers that supply 6k files which have been optimized for the web. Also when you supply shots never are they to the correct specs of required, they are always varying sizing. If they are your shots I apologise... If however they have been just copied from another site... please don't waste our time, better to go out there with just your handphone and take some real shots rather than stealing other peoples work... I looked back over his 14 postings and everytime a picture is posted it is saved a different way... Just would prefer he went out and took pics himself, instead of claiming other peoples work. Also he is breaking the posting rules by taking them from another forum. I am sure Jackson will not be impressed.
